ACT ONE:
>>983100

It is the 41st Century, space shuttles that can bend the reality of space and time are a possibility.

Daemons are a slave-like army made from a variety of different races captured by an unknown patron of a corporation. Daemons are usually the offspring of Prisoners of War. They're bred from day one to be obedient, loyal, and deadly through the use of a Neuron Chip.

Daemons, when traveling through time and space, are kept in Hydro-Hallucinstasis Pods. It simulates a real, normal life in the twenty-first century.

A system failure has caused the ship to stop mid-space, life support for the entire ship threatens to fail.

Daemon 1995 and 1242, a combat model and a medical model respectively, are now rushing fixing up an evacuation plan from The before they are killed by their adversaries

The next post of mine will begin ACT TWO of the quest.

Note: It'd be best if you read act one before playing act two, but it doesn't really matter.

Liv is not in the LAB anymore, she doesn't know where she is in fact.

It was one blink, and now she is in a black void. There is a figure mumbling to himself behind her. There is red writing in front of her. Should she speak to the figure behind her first or look at the writing?
>>
>>997769
Oh fuck.
Let's address the figure first on the off chance they attack us while we try to read the writing.
>>
>>997769
Ask the figure to read the writing to us

The figure appears to be a anthropomorphic bear with goggles stitched into his skull. His eyes don't close and it seems as if he has no eyeballs underneath the goggles. A permanent smile is etched onto his face. His legs are mangled, he wears crutches on both arms. He is missing both of his hands.

"Hullo dearie," The old bear greets Liv. "It's so very nice to see a different face for a change."

>>997809
"Oh ho ho, dearie, old age has blinded me - I can't read anything, I'm afraid," The bear chuckles.
>>
>>997851
Read the writing, then ask the bear where we are.

"You are in the IUDICIUM ROOM, my home,"
>>
>>997851

>Okay... last I remember I was in a ship. And now I am talking with someone who looks right out from Five Nights At Freedie. Bob is nowhere to be seem, last I checked the infection isn't that fast, so dream, nightmare? The abomination using out chips to do a mental attack?

"Are you the abomination?"
>>
>>997929
"The Abomination? Such a crude and foul word to give, I am honestly surprised by the amount of ignorance in a young language," Two chairs conjured up between them. "Have a seat, if you would be so kind, and I'll explain a few things."
>>
>>997935
"i prefer to kerp standing, thank you. And I think your answer was a yes."
>>
>>997935

Ask him if he's the character that let's us level up our abilities based on our insight into reality like our vidiya games
>>
>>997967
"Oh heavens no, I am not who you think of me. I am merely a... watcher. An observer, a keeper. Most would call me a sort of guardian angel."

>>997970
"Oh jolly, you're a smart young lady aren't you?" The bear chuckles methodically. "Yes, I may have something to do with your perception of reality like your electronic devices."
>>
>>997995
So how do I level up my slow motion?
>>
>>998018
"You are not capable of doing such a feat," The bear answers, "Is there any other inquires before I move on to more... pressing matters?"
>>
>>998030
"What can I do to survive without becoming infected? How fo I win my freedom?"
>>
>>998083
"Oh, but darling - that's cheating," The bear took a seat onto his chair, his grin begun to reflect the glow of the red writing. "As for your freedom, well, it is quite obvious."
>>
>>998115
"Give me hints at least, the deck is heavily staked against me and if you didn't care you would not be talking to me."
>>
>>998133
"Touche." The bear leaned forward. "Your... mutant possess very peculiar powers of telepathy and mind manipulation, powers that tap into powers your not ready for. If you could counter his abilities with some of your own... maybe you would be able to survive?"
>>
>>998162
"Eh in case you forgot, I am a vat grow daemon, one that basically grew in virtual reality, what abilities on my own? I wouldn't be surprised if I ended with a shorter lifespan or something. I was suposed to be mass produced. Unless... you want me to hack the chip? Bob doesn't seem to want to."
>>
>>998205
"Dearie, I don't believe you really care about what that lying doctor thinks," A tendril sprouted out of the bear's shoulder, as if it was to prove a point. "Your chip is cheap, programmable, even psychosis can alter how it affects you. How would you, like full control of your neuron chip, remove the restrictions it gives you? Or maybe you would enjoy something a little closer to psionics?"
>>
>>998621
"Okay, how can I know you aren't the Abomination tricking me? And mental powers are kind of pointless when the enemy has cyber suits that react faster than you can think. Not to mention mind control feels... wrong. How about resistance or immunity instead? Deactivate the chip or remove it, the mutant is using it for his so called mental powers anyway. In fact it wouldn't surprise me if he is nothing but several dozens of chips controlling a pile of goo at the moment."
>>
>>998770
"Hmhmhm," The bear rubbed his stumps together. "You seem to think of me as more than I really am, you see Liv, I know everything, but that doesn't mean I can do everything."

The Bear chuckles again.

"Well then, you'll never know if I am the Abomination or not," The bear chuckled. "Its not in my best interest to see you die; I care far less for the blind avian and I despise the rabbit."

"I can understand the blind avian, she wants love. The rabbit; security. You?" The bear chuckles. "You confuse me. What is it you truly seek? Freedom from your captors or survival? Death before you see the inside of your pod again? You perplex me, Liv. I'm omniscient and I don't know you."
>>
>>999044
"To be quite, frank, I don't know much about myself either. What exactly do you want from me?"
>>
>>999044
"I want to be free since I was literally made to be a slave. From my point of view I was living an average life in the 21th century then I woke up as a slave."
>>
>>999207
"So you want freedom? How far are you willing to go for it? Are you willing to die for it?" The bear leaned his head on his left hand stump. "Are you willing to kill for it?"
>>
>>999238
"I don't believe in the afterlife so I don't want to die. And I have a very hard time feeling guilty about killing since I was literally created to do that. Is to kill as a slave or to kill to be free, the choice is easy."
>>
>>999286
do you like hurting other people?
"Do you like it, killing other people? Is that how you want to live your life, living no better than that Abomination himself?" The bear inquired. "You have yet to kill anyone yet, do you truly wish to know how it feels - to try and ignore the possibility of losing your mind by playing apathy? I'm afraid apathy won't save you from what taking a life will do to you. It didn't help the blind avian, why are you any different?"
>>
>>999386
"Regardless of whether I enjoy it or not, I'll have to kill to get off this ship. How it will affect me remains to be seen."
>>
>>999386
"I am a cat, cats are hunters. They tried to tweak the mind of the predators... I don't know how well it worked. So far I have been eating people that's already dead but that could be the survival instint. No, I don'think killing is fun, is something I do if ordered by my masters or for survival. I don't know how I will react after the first time I kill a person. I don't think I would have regretted killing the bird, as far as I knew at the moment I was saving her from her brain rotting or something. I was build to be a killer, but is that my main purpose in life? No. I am not going to kill for fun. But I have also to accept that trying to have human morals when I am not one? That's not going to work. Daemons are deep down, animals. Yes we can act smart and like human beings, but we are still not the same. Is like if you put a person from the middle ages in the middle of the industrial revolution, is just too different. I am never going to fit, be with humans or with other daemons that aren't vat grow. But if the question is, do I kill for fun? Do I like to cause others pain? The answer is no. But if I have to kill to defend myself? I will do it. The only reason the bird is alive is the difference in skill. Can I kill her? Yes. Xan I live with that? Why should I fell guilty when it was to kill or be killed? Maybe if she was not infected, insane and getting worse it would be another story. But so far? Name a single being who wants to kill me who isn't a bloody merc, crazy or infected or an AI."

"You're a very smart young lady," The bear's smile grew bigger, but it just didn't seem satisfied. His goggles reflected Liv's reflection. "You're right, why should you feel guilty if you believe that it's you or them? And would it be correct for me to call you a hypocrite for speaking about the infected?"
>>
>>999967
"So... I am infected then? Fuck, how long I have left until I go completely bonkers?"
>>
>>1000105
"Not very long, in fact, I'd say by the time you wake up - the clock towards your mental decline will have begun," The bear replied, standing up and stretching his mangled legs methodically. "In fact, I fear that you might... accidentally murder the lying doctor out of your growing paranoia."
>>
>>1000161
"What do you have against the doctor? I need him alive until we're able to get off this ship. How long do I have until I go completely mad?"
>>
>>1000161
"Okay, so you are here to tell me to give up or something? Is this a fun game to you?;Keep making things worse so the poor kitty snaps?"

"Wait... that fucker rabbit got a cure or something right?"
>>
>>1000187
"I am only as much as a bear of my word as I am stuck in limbo, I may have dodged and yanked you around with your sunconcioous but never have I flatly lied to you," The bear's smile became more sinister. "As I said, you're mental decline will begin as soon as you wake up,"
>>1000205
"I didn't do this to you, you bit into that tendril yourself," Bob reminded Liv. "Maybe he does? Maybe he doesn't? We won't find out."
>>
>>1000235
"So... you are here to taunt me, that's it? What's the point? to amuse you?"
>>
>>1000235
>We won't find out.
I thought you were supposed to be omniscient? Or is this the royal we? Anyway, is there anything else you want to tell me before I wake up and begin my descent into insanity?
>>
>>1000265
"Oh and by the way, this has not helped at all. Even if I survive, what's the point? Is changing humans monsters to serve for the abomination? Not to mention that there is also the mercenaries in the cyber suits. Should I yell that at least I will die free and make 9000 blew up my head?"
>>
>>1000265
>Edit:The bear reminded Liv, (royal we).

"You are fighitng in vain, so I will answer your questions: The Abomination is changing humans into monsters for it to serve under it for its allegiance. You will be compelled to follow in the teachings of The Abomination soon. The Mercs in cyber suits hold no water in this predicament. They will be slaughtered for they have raised a hand to The Abomination. They will die sinners on a foreign ship. As for ending your life... depends on how you see the situation."
>>1000262
"No, my job is not similar to that of a bystander deary," The bear casually explained. "My point is that your fighting for survival in vain - you will die either on this ship in captivity or you will die in escape. Ironic, is it not? I am here to warn you in advance, it's written in your destiny. You are doomed. Unless--"
>>
>>1000352
Unless?
>>
>>1000352
"And here comes the deal with the devil..."
>>
>>1000386
>>1000418
"I am not a devil, I am more of a deity," The bear responds. "I will nullify the effects of the neuron chip and the infection, for a small fee of a promise."
>>
>>1000442
"Fine, what do you want? Also I want a cure not just something that stops the sideeefects. Either cure me for real or forget it .'
>>
>>1000500
"I want to die," The bear says in response, "I want you to kill me when you eventually reach The Abomination."
>>
>>1000527
"Fine,;just how big of an explosion are we talking about? And is a real cure, right?"
>>
>>1000673
"I will contact you when it will be time for your end of the deal," The Bear answers..

"A real cure is impossible," The bear admits. "I can only nullify and delay, but your death will come from the infection unless that wretched rabbit knows of a cure."
>>
>>1000771
"Damn."
>>
>>1000832
"I apologize, Deary, I wish I could lie," The bear says.
>>
>>1000865
"You are whatever's left of the guy who became the abomination, right?"
>>
>>1000894
"Yes," The bear answers."
>>
>>1000932
Looks like you have yourself a deal, as if I had a choice. Fortunately, I have a bit more faith in 'that wretched rabbit' than you do.
>>
>>1000932

"But then again, he lies and cheats. Just remember to hate his superiors more. Have you ever seen what the punishment mode of the chip does? I do, it hurts more than having the four wise teeth removed at the same time and is in the whole damn body. After six times of being shown that, I can't say I blame him. Heck I got hit with the light version, a tap in the wrist they said, and I still felt sore for days. And yes you can laugh at the inuendo. Why do you think they cared to make a girl? Since doing vat growth is so expensive they planned to breed me in a year or two. Fuck... that's yet another thing to worry about. And let me guess, I will wake up strapped to a table or something."

>Nag the bunny about a cure or antidote, insists that he must have something or can make it. Remember that the mercs can alwaya blow the ship to cut loses because daemons are expendable assets. Red, green blue.
>>
>>1001476
>>1001361
"Oh no, not strabbed to a table - but being held hostage." The bear allows some insight.

"Well then, it seems as if our time has ran out. I doubt we will be talking again, but you have been nice to talk to," The bear's smile became softer. "One more thing, Bob's real name is Yahtzee - he volunteered to become a Daemon. I don't think he told you that."

With a blink, Liv wakes up with a groggy head and an unconscious rabbit next to her. Their hands, bound behind their back with steel handcuffs. Bob - or Yahtzee rather - has bruises on his face, gashes on his neck. It would seem that a SolarFlare Merc has decided to fallback to the lab and discovered a scared doctor and a cat in a trance, and decided to interrogate the rabbit. The SolarFlare Merc is facing toward the door, an electronic cigar in his teeth. The Merc's nose is bloody. The Merc is human.

"Yep, I'm just waiting for the cat to wake up ans see what she knows," The Merc is wearing an CYBERSUIT, his PLASMA CUTLASS holstered to his side. His PLASMA PISTOL is in his hand. "The doctor has tight lips, but I doubt I'll need him. Maybe I'll break the cat by shooting him in the mouth in front of her."

Liv still has her PROTOTYPE PLASMA KNIFE, if she waits - then Bob - Yahtzee will be killed.
>>
>>1001627
>He volunteered? People volunteer to be slaves? What? Nevermind.

>Guy got a CYBERSUIT, so just talk.

"Good morning everyone, so did you get rid of the zombie plague yet?"
>>
>>1001666
Perhaps he was in debt? Student loans are awful. Liv speaks up at the Merc, which causes him to spin around with his PLASMA PISTOL aimed right at her face.

"About that," The Merc responded. "You're gonna tell us everything about it or god help me I will kill you both."
>>
>>1001683
"How can I be sure you won't kill us even if I tell you?"
>>
>>1001683
>There are ways to pay it without slavery, heck an eternity as a salaryman would be preferable.

>Tell the merc everything save the fact you are infected (and that you eat dead people and the strange dream you bad) and that "Bob" was the main guy behind it. Lower him to a mere assistant who had no other choice cause daemon. Basically not say anything that will get you and Bob killed but say enough you are deemed useful.

Also.

"Maybe Bob here can help to find a cure, he may have just been the assistant but those are the most likely to steal everything the main Mad Doc knows, right?"
>>
>>1001718
"Do you realize how valuable Daemons are? Nah, I don't expect a furry to understand so I'll spell it out for you: We keep you alive, we get some serious credits - but there's no skin off of our backs if I put a plasma round in your head," The Merc responds. "Besides, we've gone a while without rabbit stew and feline meatloaf."
>>
>>1001731
Well, Liv won't know unless she asks 'Bob' herself.

The Merc's lips twitched. "Do you really think I care about this fucking infection? I want THE MUTANT and you're gonna give him to me. Now. Not tomorrow, not until this rabbit fuck can give me a cure. now.
>>
>>1001761
"And then what? You get fired at the very least when everyone in your ship gets infected? You never watched any zombie movies, did you? Heck any horror movie in general about an experiment going genocidal at least?"
>>
>>1001775
This snark gets Liv a hard smack in response, he was careful not to crack her jaw but not careful enough to knock her on her back. The Merc steps on her throat, easing more pressure on it. "THE MUTANT, NOW."
>>
>>1001788
You expecting me to pull it out my arse or something? We last saw it in a vent on the upper deck, if that's what you want to know.

>>1001792
Are you lying to him? Liv last seen THE MUTANT on the MIDDLE DECK before meeting 'Bob' in the Sickbay. Liv and Bob are currently on the UPPER DECK. in the LAB (MACHINE SHOP on the map.)
>>
>>1001788
"Is in the ship, you have CYBERSUITS but you don't have the right scanners? What part of this is a terrible fuck up and almost everyone is dead or infected you don't get? You think we can just snap our fingers and have the mutant sit down abd wag its tail?"

Wow this guy is an idiot. Why they even hired him? To look tough? Is like if everyone else who could do this job better was dead or infected! Also Liv is a combat model, but she wasn't programed to speak moron
>>
>>1001806
Yeah and the mutant who ROAMED the whole ship would TOTALLY NOT MOVE AT ALL. We saw it hours ago, why wouldn't it move? If we say the MUNTANT is somewhere and turns out is not there, he will shot us.
>>
>>1001807
To be fair, he doesn't know what Liv or 'Bob' knows. He's an infantry unit, do you really think he has the competency outside of combat?

The Merc stepped off of Liv's throat, which prompt her to sputter and cough. The Merc touches his ear and begins to speak. "Look somewhere in the vents, it's using them to move undetected."

>>1001818
That's not what I was trying to say, I was mentioning the fact that Liv was about to give inaccurate information and I was trying to clarify whether or not it was a blunder or an deliberate attempt to be light with the truth?
>>
>>1001837
>Look at Bob.
>>
>>1001895
Bob is just starting to stir, being awoken by Liv's coughing. He looks back at you and mouths the words What the actual hell happened to you to zone out like that?
>>
>>1001905
Shrug, and mouth back "I had some weird dream, talking to some bear who said he became the MUTANT. Does 'IUDICIUM ROOM' mean anything to you?"
This is going to take some insane mouthing skills.
>>
>>1001905
>Later.

"So... can you work on a cure? Because at this rate everyone will get infected."
>>
>>1001926
Bunlet doesn't have a tail so we can't rip off Prequel and tail-tug.
It's Latin, I know that much, The rabbit mouthed back.

>>1001927
A cure? Uh... I think I can. First, we need this asshole out of the way. You still got that plasma knife?
>>
>>1001960
>edit: he does have a tail but it's not long enough.
>>
>>1001960
"Hey, not so hasty. We can't take these guys head on, so if he has company we're fucked. Let's see how far they're willing to work with us before trying anything that could get us killed."
>>
>>1001989
are you kidding me, he said he was going to turn me into rabbit stew after beating me senseless! Bob mouthed furiously.
>>
>>1002012
>Unless you know a way to knock him out without making noise, then think on how to get to a highter up by making yourself useful.
>>
>>1002084
that's not fair, i'm not the one with the training! Bob protested
>>
>>1002096
"Yup, so unless you're feeling especially suicidal we're doing this my way, alright?"
>>
>>1002104
What if it doesn't work? Bob shifted, struggling against the bindings.
>>
Were dead or tied up.surronded by significantly more infected
>>
>>1002151
"Then hopefully they'll kill us quickly. Better that what would happen if they caught us trying to stab the guy."
>>
>>1002167
>>1002161
Damned if we do, damned if we don't, Bob slouched down and lowered his ears.

"You found it?" The Merc's head raised. "It's where? In the COMMAND CENTER?"
>>
>>1002188
I would go help them there going to need it
>>
>>1002188
>>1002193
If he decides to run over. After he affirms over the raido. let's stab him in the back of the neck so they assume he died in travel.
>>
>Edit: He was speaking to the other SolarFlare Mercs on his radio.
>>
>>1002255
>triple dubs, nice
Mouth to 'Bob', "What sort of defence systems are there in the COMMAND CENTER? The mercs might look more favourably on us if we give them some warning."
>>
>>1002270
>double dubs, respectable
the standard laser auto turrents, enough DPS to turn you to shreads in a mere blink of an eye Bob mouths backs
>>
>>1002296
>"Does it have backup power? Because otherwise they can just turn off the ship... what's it's name."
>>
>>1002397
"Of course it got back up power, those greedy fucks prefer their lives over ours any day of the week!" Bob blurted out before biting his lib hard.

"What was that?" The Merc turned around to face Bob.
>>
>>1002438
We were insulting our bosses
>>
>>1002438
"The COMMAND CENTER is the best defended place of the ship and even got BACKUP POWER. That's all."

>Find out how to switch this moron for someone you can talk with. Don't let anyone know you can breed with other daemons or they will turn you into a baby factory.
>>
>>1002535
Let's just smugly ask for his manager
>>
>>1002546
>Politely, because he can main us.
>>
>>1002546
>>1002553
>>1002535
>>1002531

>>

>>
>>1002645

>>
>>1002690
>>1002703
Liv shoots off of the ground and knocks herself into The Merc. The shot misses but it grazes "Bob's" cheek. The Merc is knocked into a shelf of various manga and anime.

Liv still has her PROTOTYPE PLASMA KNIFE in her possession, STEEL handcuffs on. Should she do something about the handcuffs?
>>
>>1002740
If the handcuffs can be escaped then do so, but if the merc goes for his gun or radio then just bite him.
>>
>>1002764
Steel is an electrically conductive metal, it is cut easily through the handcuffs! The throws a DVD of Soldier Sun - to Bob's dismay.

"STOP, THAT'S A LIMITED EDITION SPECIAL!!!"
>>

>god damn why can't I hold all of these edits: The Merc throws the DVD of Soldier Sun.
>>
>>1002781
"SHUT YOUR TRAP, YAHTZEE!"
Pounce on the merc and bash his head against the floor until he stops moving. Try not to kill him if possible.
>>
>>1002802
The sound of his real name shuts the bunny up. Quick.

Liv pounds his head onto the deck, The Merc fights desperately. He reaches and grabs Liv's eyes, trying to push them into her head. Liv, in a bout of no self control - bust his skull open, Hotline Miami style. Blood pools around his head as his body remains still. Liv has killed her first adversary.

Liv WON; Gained 25 EXP.
>>
>>1002843
"..."
Shut the merc's eyes and take his radio and gun. Go and remove Yahtzee's cuffs and help him up.
"We should get moving."
>>
>>1002843
"So a crazy cat and a liar bunny, sounds like a webcomic... anyway let's move on and find a way to disable the chips, we have a COMMAND CENTER to blew up."
>>
lmao two very different reactions to Liv just killing her first adversary
>>1002967
"L-liv..." Yahtzee began.
>>
>>1003000
"Later... unless you want to work on a cure first?"
>>
>>1003000
"Yeah?" Carry on removing the cuffs while trying to sound calm.
>>
>>1003022
>>1003067
"..." Yahtzee cringed at the gash on his cheeks and snout, where the plasma round gazed his face. Yahtzee is now suffering form LIGHT BLDING (nonfatal). "A-are you okay?"
>>
>>1003079
Yeah.. *look at his wound closly like faces almost touching * are you?
>>
>>1003221
"Okay I honesty hope you can heal that with the stuck in your dimension pocket. And we really must do something about the chips the abomination can mindfuck you using them I think."
>>
>>1003221
"I'll 'liv'," Yahtzee's joke was wry.
>>1003252
"So you think he's hacking into our chips? Well... we could always try to blow up the command center, like you suggested."
>>
>>1003301
"And 9000 won't blow up.our heads if we try that? We need a SIGNAL BLOCKER first."
>>
>>1003352
"Or we could kill The Abomination instead," Bob offered.

"I'M TRYING MY BEST, OKAY?!" Yahtzee shouts, causing Liv to instinctively step back defensively. "WHAT DO YOU BLOODY WANT FROM ME, CRIKEY!"
>>
>>1003529
"Can... can you make a cure... or at least a treatment? Look, we get the chips disabled or st least get the signal blocked, then we can blew up this ship but making sure we excape first okay? And... why the bloody hell you VOLUNTERED to become a daemon? Even a lifetime as a salaryman would have been better. I just don't understand why anyone would willingly become a slave."
>>
>>1003675
"I..." Yahtzee lowered his face, wiping at his gash to move the blood out of his nose and mouth. "I... I don't know how you know my name. I was a freelance doctor, I've worked for shady people and I've preformed more than my fair share of illegal surgeries - giving people augments, turning a girl to a boy (vice versa), brian swappng, all that jazz. One day, The COO of PrometheanCorps had an assination attempt - I suspect it was 1776 who tried to kill him. Anyways, they hired me to save his life. The plasma bullet was lodged went into heart valve, there would be no way I could get it out without having to preform open heart surgery - they wouldn't trust surgeon machines for fear of sabotage so they made me do it. I made a mistake, his blood type was AB+ and I gave him B+. He died of blood sickness. I went into hiding after PrometheanCorps accused me of malpractice - and when I tried to defend meself and went to the Galactic Senate - that bastard Dmitri, a fucking cat personal hitman, killed my friends in retaliation. I had no family to begin with, so they wouldn't bother looking for someone who didn't exist. So I changed my name and paid my entire life to Churchwell, the High Chancellor of DaemonRegime. I became an indentured servant, but then I preformed CPR on a dying Daemon and they bumped me up to Medical Personal Daemon. They stuck a chip inside of my brain and then viola - I'm now ID 1241. I had no where else to turn, freedom for me is a guaranteed plasma bullet in my head. Slavery is my only chance of security."
>>
>>1003779
"Not really... you could have got a new face, new ears, nose, new gender, even new DNA. You have no fucking clue how valuable you are, right? So you acted like a moron and got tricked into slavery, tipical high INT low WIS. Anyway, do you have an overide code for the chips or something? Something to give them a temporal shut down at the very least?"
>>
>>1003896
"You are an absolute wanker and I wish you have killed me back in that bloody closet." Yahtzee glared at Liv. "There is a temporal shutdown and it only happens when there is a compromise in IOTA's system."
>>
>>1003930
What's IOTA?
>>
>>1003949
IOTA9000, the ship's AI.
>>
>>1003983
"Well, the abomination did mess with the ship mainframe, so what else is needed to trigger it? Something like I don't know, a rival company mercs trying to hack it?"
>>
>>1004000
"Right on the money," Yahtzee stuck his hands into his PADDED MEDICAL JACKET's pockets. "So either we hack IOTA itself or we make the Mercs do it."
>>
>>1004021
Which one is easier? Are your hacking skills sufficient, or should we trick the mercs into hacking the system for us?
>>
>>1004021
"Let's trick the mercs into it, considering 9000 could make our heads explode without a SIGNAL BLOCKER."
>>
>>1004033
>>1004034
"I'm a doctor, I don't know how to fucking hack, we have to trick the Mercs into doing it - so how the fuck do we do it?"
>>
>>1004039
"Well, how about a transmission? Text only? From the merc we took down? Something like 'WE NEED TO HACK THE MAINFRAME TO GET THE MUTANT.' would that work? The guy was dumb as bricks, what with not wanting a cure for an infection some of his own people caught by now and that. Also, think the CYBERSUIT would work for you? Doesn't look like is DNA locked or something."
>>
>>1004068
"I wouldn't even know the first thing about using it, love," Yahtzee admitted, "They taught me how to place bandages on booboos, not cause them, mate."
>>
>>1004105
"Let me look over this guy stuff, it can't be that hard, again the guy is a moron."

>Look over the guy stuff, try to loot CYBERSUIT.
>>
>>1004196
i thought you said "gay stuff" for a moment and i was going to pop out dildos and whatnots

Liv found PLASMA CUTLASS and PLASMA SERVICE PISTOL. Nothing is DNA Coded, so it's all good.

Liv looted the CYBERSUIT and forked it over to Yahtzee. Yahtzee unequipped the MEDICAL PADDED JACKET and equiped the CYBERSUIT for +200 Defense and Badassery!

Liv equipped the MEDICAL PADDED JACKET - it combined with DAEMON PRIVATE UNDERARMOUR for +45 DEFENSE! It smells like stale morphine and the sweet scent of musky scent of rabbit.

Yahtzee's CYBERSUIT comes a FLAMETHROWER for +30 ATK and 100% To Burn! ...and a Cease and Desist Order from every futuristic game ever.

Liv found a SOLARFLARE TRANSMITTER/RADIO! It looks like a 21st Century Smartphone.

Liv found THE PLASMA CUTLASS, it offer +50 ATK and 20% chance to burn!

Liv found a QUANTUM RUCKSACK, it offers TWENTY spaces for items! Liv transfers VARIOUS DRUGS from her LUNCHBOX (because she used up the painkillers and gauze for her injuries), THE PLASMA CUTLASS, and THE MERC TRANSMITTER/RADIO.
>>
>>1004239
>edits: comes with a FLAMETHROWER, Redundancy of PLASMA CUTLASS in the first line.

Liv unequipped PROTOTYPE PLASMA KNIFE and equips PLASMA PISTOL for +35 ATK with 5% To to burn!

Wait a second, Yahtzee's story is bullshit. People with AB+ type blood can accept blood from any donor.
>>
>>1004305

Perhaps the increase of INT made Liv wiser, because she recognized that very crucial slip up in Yahtzee's story. Confront him about this bollocks?

The response is from what appears to be a very important person, as all radio chatter silences as he radios back.

"dubito, ergo...?." THE MORON COMMANDER demands. "DUBITO, ERGO!?"

"That's Latin too!" Yahtzee pips. "It means 'I doubt, therefore..." Yahtzee mumbles. "I think he's asking for a codeword, Liv. Maybe you shouldn't have bashed the poor sod's brain. Now what will you do?"

>Input Password.
>>

>SUCCESS!

THE MORON COMMANDER responded after twelve hard and slow cooked seconds - Yahtzee could hear his heart pounnd in his ears. Along with the blood still pooling on his snout and reaching the floor. "Rodger that, Platoon Leader, I'll send our best hackers to the ship now. In the mean time, execute your hostages and move upstairs with the rest of your platoon Tell them that the rules of engagement has changed - No prisoners. Torch the damn ship if you have too, get me the Mutant alive. We will not accept failure or the death of The Mutant. Do not fuck this up. Over and Out."

"1995, you have been authorized by the DaemonRegime to recieve the award of Field Promotion. You have shown g-g-g-g-great aptitude and ability to not only lead a Medical Daemon out of danger, to neutralize a traitor, and to eliminate a rival corporation. For this, you have became knighted into Commissioned Ranks. You hereby hold the r-r-r-r-r-r-rank of Leftenant (Lieutenant) Junior Grade. Congra-gra-gra-gradulations!" IOTA announced in Liv and Yahtzee's chip before the cold slush feeling in their skulls faded as IOTA9000 was compromised by a foreign hacker.
>>

"Well, time to get the explosives, but before that let's gather whatever you might need for a cure."
>>
>>1004417
"You keep asking about a cure, love," Yahtzee leaned towards Liv. "Are you infected, mate?"
>>

"Yes... and so are you, unless you are inmune somehow. And if you are inmune, the question is how."
>>
>>1004419
"And how else are you gonna save that BIRD uh? Remember about her?"
>>
>>1004430
Are you SURE you want to reveal that to him? He has been lying to you from the start and you will trust him with that? You don't know Yahtzee like you think you do, he could be working for a rival corporation this entire time or even worse! Are you ABSOLUTELY sure you want to share this?

"I'll bet"

Liv turned around to ready to exit the LAB until Yahtzee stepped in front of her.

"With that chip gone, I can finally say something I've been meaning to say," Yahtzee stood in front of Liv, staring into her eyes.

"Liv, I want to say something that may change the dynamic of how you see me," Yahtzee begins. "I'm sorry for saying you weren't my friend earlier, that wasn't true, you're the best god damn hero a lad could ask for. At the same time, you are the most insufferable cunt I have ever met - but I still can't shake this feeling down. It's like I hate you so much that my heart kills itself every time I see you, but at the same time I want to be closer to you. I-I-I guess what I'm trying to say is I hate you. I really hate your bloody guts."

"I love 1776 and I want her to be my love, a lot more than I could ever put into words," Yahtzee shifted uncomfortably. "But at the same time, I want you too. It's selfish, yes, and I hate it and I hate you, but I... love... your company at the same time. I hate that I love you, and I hate you, I wish you would fucking die, but I don't want you to. So what I'm trying to say is... even if you don't share my same feelings, fuck off and stay alive, alright mate?"
>>
>>1004596
"Yarendere."
>>
>>1004596

INTERMISSION

Next Post of Mine will Initiate the INTERMISSION.

You are no longer Liv, therefore you may no longer give commands to Liv or Yahtzee.

>Be THE HUNTRESS

You cannot be THE HUNTRESS, for THE HUNTRESS is 1776 being possessed by The Mutant.

>Be The Blind Avian.

You may now issue commands to The Blind Avian, Daemon-1776; Daemon-1776 is currently on the LOWER DECK and slouching against the wall. 1776 doesn't know where she is, but she smells hallucinogenic and blood. Lots of blood.

Daemon-1776 is a female canary who has been active for five years, seeing the horrible acts of war has left her scarred and constantly on the verge of aggression with just about anybody.
1776 have been taken care of by a Doctor Daemon, 1241, so far and she's been taking care of him in return. There was no physical intimacy, of course with IOTA9000 around, but his very scent would set her feathers aflame. 1776 would sing him to sleep when he had his frequent bouts of insomnia, he would calm her of her horrid nightmares. They took care of each other. She was helpless for him, because he was just as broken as her.

However, her emotions are as limited as her neuron chip would allow her - but now that it's gone... she feels free.
No restrictions. Like running in the meadows with no responsibilities.
Unfortunately, 1776 is blind. 1776 doesn't remember exactly why, but she can remember the smell of a cat.
1776's senses are that of an experienced veteran, so she is able to make out where she is without the need of eyesight.
1776 hears incoming tapping, light tapping, heading her way. Like two canes touching the ground. Like crutches.
Reconnoiter the source of the sound?

"Oh pardon me, it was rude of me to arrive unannounced, Deary,"The figure appears to be a anthropomorphic bear with goggles stitched into his skull. His eyes don't close and it seems as if he has no eyeballs underneath the goggles. A permanent smile is etched onto his face. His legs are mangled, he wears crutches on both arms. He is missing both of his hands.

"Hullo deary," The old bear greets 1776. "It's so very nice to see a different face for a change. I am THE WITNESS, and I believe you are 1776?"
>>
>>1004669
"Yeah. What do you want?"
Try to stand up.
How can we see him? Is this spooky mind projection or just supersoldier senses?
>>
>>1004675
spooky mind projections
The Blind Avian answers rudely and tries to stand up.
"Come now, is that any way to treat a new pal?" The Witness inquires. He tilts his head, his grin becoming harder and wider. "You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you, Blind Avian?"
>>
>>1004685
>>1004635
>Unfortunately, 1776 is blind. 1776 doesn't remember exactly why, but she can remember the smell of a cat.
"Do you know anything about that?"
>>
>>1004878
"About your blindness? Well, what is there to tell, Deary? You're blind," The Witness bemused wryly. "You were able to see, and now you're not. The question why or how doesn't really matter, you're blind as a bat - excuse the unintentional racism."
>>
>>1004900
If your just here to bother me then you can leave.
>>
>>1004902
"Would that do you any good, Deary?" The Witness asks, smiling broadly. "Of course, I can leave if you believe of me to be bothering you. It's no skin off of my ectoplasmic skin, but it would definitely benefit you if you would be so kind and listened to an old bear."

"Perhaps I could tell you your wildest dreams, perhaps I could tell you who has taken your eyesight, perhaps I could tell you who has manipulated your mind, maybe I can even tell you the location of that insufferable Doctor, 1241," The Witness walked past The Blind Avian as she struggled to her feet, The Witness reached a door and he opened it without touching the keypad. "But alas, you think of me as bothersome - I'll make my exit then and you'll never hear of me again."
>>
>>1004922
How about you tell me all of that and I think of you as only insufferable?
>>
>>1004940
"Then follow me, I think you'll enjoy it if we went somewhere more... suitable for the occasion." The Witness tapped a cane into The Blind Avian's forehead.
The Blind Avian blinked and she was suddenly sitting on a chair across from The Witness. The Witness had his mangled legs across from one another.
"Welcome to the IUDICIUM ROOM, my home," The Witness's smile became softer. "Now, remember - I'm only interfering because I'm curious about the path you would have took give I had not stepped in when I did. At any moment, you decide to attempt to attack me - I will erase this conversation from your head and nobody will be none the wiser. Also, if you are not the violent type but if I may say something that has offended you, you may walk out of this room at any given time you please. Please, get comfortable."

The Witness's smile became broader and sinister. "Where do we begin?"
>>
>>1004973
*get comfortable*
>>
>>1004973
Fine. After spending a few minutes getting conformable enough that the bear gets inpatient we tell the bear to just info dump us.

"Very well," The Witness begins. "I am part of The Abomination, 1/14 of it anyways. I, however, am the original Mutant. They turned me into goop with those... injections. They were trying to make me a supersoldeir... but it failed. And then they fed me their undesirables, in some desperate attempt to make me grow stronger. You see, they were trying to what the injections did. This is where the bunny doctor comes in."

The Witness's smile became sour as he spoke again. "The Doctor's real name is Yahtzee and he's from Earth. He's a what our fellow watchers would call British[/spoiler spy working for the Aeronautics and Space Bureau of Investigations. Basically, he works for The Galactic Senate. A Space Cop. I'm afraid everything you two have shared have been nothing more than his cover to infiltrate the DaemonRegime."
>>
>>1005254
To be honest that could be completely true but that dosnt mean his feeling are cover. Thus shit happens all the time haven't you watched day time television?
>>
>namefaggotry failed, thank god for anonID
>>
>>1005258
"Are you perhaps doubting a practically omniscient ghost?" The Witness inquires. "Is your love for him so strong you're willing to look past the fact he's been feeding The Galactic Senate everything DaemonRegime is doing so far?"
>>
>>1005279
Out of character question

If we are a deamon and essentially a slave why should we care that he is doing that? It's not like we like our owners. Frankly wouldn't that be helping us if the Senate cracks down on it?

Because Daemons were programmed to be fiercely obedient since childbirth. The deactivation of 1776's chip finally gave her free reign of herself where she had restrictions previously. Why Liv had more control over herself than 1776 is because DaemonRegime was trying to cut losses and gave Liv a cheaper and less effective chip. Liv, even through training, disliked her superiors but 1776 is a five year veteran: willing to die for her masters until she got shell shocked and essentially developed a mild case of psychosis - which disrupted the strength of her neuron chip.

speaking of the neuron chip, if DaemonRegime found out that a Daemon deserted or gone rouge... well...
>>
>>1005327
So basically we recently realized how fuck up all this is and hate our bosses because the chip was turned off and we really should be fairly happy that yahtzee was trying to shut this whole operation down?
>>
>>1005329
I'm not going to tell you if you're right or not, ask the literal omniscient ghost
>>
>>1005338
I ask the bear ghost if 1776 dislikes her bosses now that her ship is turned off.
>>
>>1005349
You issue commands to 1776, you don't do it yourself like you're a character in the story.
>>
>>1005376
So 1776 should ask the bear if she likes her officers I feel as though she should already know that. And if she does that I would be able to know.

Sorry to drive the quest in this inane drivel. Fuck it 1776 thinks then asks about who took her eyesight.
>>
>>1005386
We will disregard your previous commands and stick with this more recent one.

The Witness looks up, his smile became horribly sinister. "It was a feline who would do just about anything to achieve her goal of freedom, the ends justify the means with this cat. This cat took your eyesight in self-defense, for she could defeat you."
>>
>>1005406
>edit: for she couldn't defeat you
>>
>>1005406
Ask THE WITNESS where 1241 is. It's better to hear the truth, whatever it may be, from his own mouth.
>>
>>1005406
WELL IS HARD TO BE 100% ACCURATE WITH INCOMPLETE INFORMATION. WAIT, CAN YOU FIX THE BIRD SIGHT? ALSO I THINK THE CAT WAS SABOTAGE, SHE HATED HER MASTERS FROM THE START, SHE GOT A CHEAP SHIP AND SHE SEEMED VERY GOOD AT SURVIVAL. NOW, WHO WE KNOW WHO COULD INTERFERE WITH A DAEMON DEVELOPING LIKE THAT? EITHER IT WAS THE BUNNY OR SOMEONE ELSE.
>>
>>1005620
good eye
The Blind Avian grew tired of The Witness dodging around her questions and giving her incomplete answers. 1776 leaned forward and asked him if he can fix her sight.
"I can't give you your eyes back, Deary, but I can tell you it won't effect your life much."
>>1005530
"1241 is on the UPPER DECK, currently in open contact with SolarFlare Mercenaries," THE WITNESS leaned back into his chair. "1241 and the cat plan to destroy the COMMAND CENTER and take an ESCAPE POD for EVAC. Wouldn't you care to join them?"
>>
>>1006199
"Yes."
>>
>>1006223

>>1006278

>>
>>1006295

>>
