Seven years ago, the warrior race known as the Saiyans were annexed into Emperor Freeza's army. Since that day, the Saiyans have acted as the emperor's loyal soldiers, leading the charge onto hundreds of worlds and wiping out all who oppose Lord Freeza's rule. As mighty conquerors, destroying all who have stood against them, the Saiyans have made quite a reputation for themselves as some of Freeza's most powerful and loyal subjects.

The tales of the Super Saiyans have especially grown larger than life as of late. Two exceptional warriors, clad in glorious golden auras and leading charges against impossible odds: fighting legendary assassins, powerful demons, and entire armies by themselves, even facing Lord Freeza himself and surviving.

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:
Karn and Meloka battle the Covenant retaliatory ship, blasting it and mist of its crew from the air then mopping up survivors. Towa arrives to save Meloka again, you protect her from a time travelling Super Saiyan, then learn some of Ubo’s mysterious past. As we return to Karn, you’ve just learned that a large fleet of Covenant ships is headed right towards you.

“What did you say?” Meloka asks into her scouter, astonished. “Two weeks?!”
“That’s what the computers say.” Nappa says, sighing out in frustration. “They just aren’t letting up, we’re gonna get worn down and wiped out at this rate.”
“No we won’t.” Vegeta says, his voice like a whip. “Quit that defeatist talk, General. I’m heading over there now, we’ll devise a strategy for destroying this threat, as we’ve handled everything thrown our way so far.”
“Ye-Yes sir.” Nappa says, shame in his voice clear for giving up. “I’ll gather a few others, see what we can all cook up.”
“See to it.” Vegeta says, then deactivates his scouter then turns to you. “I trust you’ll both be ready?”
“Oh, we will.” you say, throwing an arm over Meloka’s shoulders. “Don’t worry about us Vegeta. When they get here we’ll be ready.”
“I’m counting on you both.” Vegeta says, worry clear on his face. “I have a real bad feeling about this.”

With that Vegeta turns and flies off, headed back to the captured Covenant fortress. You turn to Meloka, feeling her trembling slightly.
“E-Eight of them...” she says, sounding shocked. “And we barely took one...”
“Meloka.” you say, kneeling down to her level, hands on her shoulders and looking her in the eyes, your worried mate focusing on you.

What do you say?
>I won’t let anything bad happen to you, I promise.

Alright lads, what's the plan?
Shall we encourage the entire saiyan invasion force to train their asses off, while training our own asses off? Are we going to do the collective first-strike beam attack with all our forces when the ships are in sight?

I'm open to hear anyone else's plans
>>
>>2186680
The other saiyans would probably have to be in great ape for them to get past the ship's shields. I don't know if we want to waste the powerball at the start of the fight.
>>
>>2186685
Covenant shielding is vulnerable to energy attacks, and if EVERYONE (including us elites) is firing continuous beams up at those shields, they should come down fairly quick. Covvie shields are a lot better against a single, brief attack than they are against multiple, sustained attacks.

“It doesn’t matter if there’s one ship, ten ships, or even a hundred. As long as we’re fighting side by side, we can’t lose. So when that fleet gets here, they’ll learn to fear us Saiyans. We’ll do it like we always do. Together.”
As you spoke, Meloka looked down at her feet, contemplative. When you finished, she looked you in the eyes, her fire back.

“You’re right.” she says, you grinning at her returned confidence. “We’ll show these assholes what us Saiyans can really do! But we don’t have a lot of time, what should we do to prepare?”
“Hmm, I’m not sure.” you say, contemplatively.“We could always crank the Gravity Chamber to 30x and throw on all the weight we have, or work some more on our Su Ma. Then there’s always joining on King Vegeta’s meetings, maybe come up with a plan.”
“We can also help others train up, too.” Meloka says, finger to her chin in thought. “Vegeta, Nappa, Leyas, and Sarada all got a lot stronger on the trip here. Maybe we can get a few others stronger before they get here?”

So many choices, but little time. What shall you do? You may pick more than one option, but may split results.
>Maxed Gravity Chamber with Meloka, work on strength and speed

“Many hands make lighter work.” you say to yourself, remembering your village elder’s words.
“Huh?” Meloka asks you, not hearing.
“Nothing.” you reply, then continue. “We should try and train up a few more fellow Saiyans, the stronger we all get the better.”
“Right, but who?” she asks you.
“Let’s get ahold of Turles and Tunnip, I’m sure they’re game.”
“Alright, I’ll go warm up the Gravity Chamber.” she says, walking back into the ship. You think to them both, and after telling them what’s coming they both agreeing to come train. They both arrive shortly, their lighthearted attitudes replaced with worried determination. You greet them both, leading them into the Gravity Chamber to begin training.

Over the next two weeks, you and Meloka push them both to their absolute limits. The first day you start them in 5x New Salda’s gravity(10x Planet Vegeta’s). By the end of the first week they’ve pushed to 8x, and at the end of the two weeks training they’ve managed to make it to 11x New Salda’s gravity. Both Turles and Tunnip’s powerlevels reflect their newfound strength, Tunnip climbing up to 59,147 and Turles reaching way up to 52, 729.

While training them, you and Meloka had your own training as well. You’d transformed into Super Saiyans as you’d begun their training, maintaining the form non-stop throughout the two weeks. You feel you’ve mastered this form, able to maintain it with no stamina loss or fatigue. During this time you also listened in to Vegeta’s strategy meetings via telepathy, going over each plan as it was introduced. Fleeing the planet was a no-go, shooting them all down seemed improbable, and facing numbers that overwhelming in pitched battle seemed a losing strategy, even with the Oozaru forms. No matter how you all looked at it, it seemed a battle destined to come at a heavy price, win or lose.

The final day, Vegeta contacts both you and Meloka and asks you come see him for something urgent. You were both confused, but complied, flying to the captured fortress.
cont
>>
>>2186877
“Wonder what’s so important he has to tell us face-to-face, instead of telepathically?” Meloka asks as you fly over, the short trip taking less than a minute.
“No idea.” you reply. “But I’m getting slightly worried for him. We still don’t have a real plan for handling this.”

You both land near the base of the tower, the guards showing you to where Vegeta is waiting. As you walk in you see Vegeta and Nappa, as well as Leyas and Sarada. Before you can say anything, Vegeta speaks.

“Good, everyone’s here.” he starts, sounding like he hasn’t had much sleep. “Their fleet is mere minutes away, our forces are assembling as I speak so I’ll make this brief. I don’t think we can win this.”

Before anyone can protest what he said, he holds a hand up for quiet, you all complying and waiting to see what he has to say, the young king continuing.

“That said, we cannot afford to lose this battle. I know of only one path left for victory. It is an ancient ritual of the Saiyans, from long before Planet Vegeta was settled. I’ve gathered you all here because we are the strongest of our kind, the most likely candidates to make this work. I’m talking about Super-“

Vegeta is interrupted, a voice coming over the room’s communication line.
“Good news my liege, that fleet is splitting up!”
“What?” Vegeta asks, astonished. “You mean they’re not all headed for us?”
“That’s right.” the comms man says happily. “Three of the smaller vessels and one of the larger ones are turning off their path and are now headed straight for us, they’ll arrive within 2 minutes. However, the other four are headed straight past us!”

Everyone around you begins celebrating, however you cannot. You have a terrible worry. You think you know where the rest are headed.

“Where are they going?” you shout into the comms, your outburst stopping everyone.
“Who cares, not our problem anymore!” is the reply you get.
“Find out, right now!” you shout, Meloka floating over and putting a hand on your shoulder.
“Karn, what’s wrong?”
You have no proof, but no doubts that you’re correct. You look at Meloka’s worried face, then turn to the room.
“I think they’re headed for New Salda.”

You can see that your words have frozen everyone, the implications horrifically obvious. You hear the comm guy gasp, then say, “I’ll have them check right now! But for now, 60 seconds until their fleet arrives. I’ll send you all the updates via scouter.”
“Thanks Gula.” Vegeta says, sounding even worse. “Damn. Alright, new plan! With only four ships, we can take them out now then chase down the rest. Everyone, outside, now!”

Wasting no time, you all make your way back out of the fortress, the Saiyan forces assembled and waiting. Vegeta floats up above everyone, addressing his forces.

“Good news, my fellow Saiyans!” Vegeta shouts out, his worries and doubts seeming to vanish as he begins speaking. “When these invaders heard they’d be facing Saiyans in battle, half of their fleet turned tail and fled!”

A cheer goes up from the gathered soldiers, relief evident on their faces. “Good move, Vegeta.” you think to yourself, as he continues.

“Only four of their ships’ crews still have the bravery to face us! We’ll show them that their brethren were smarter for fleeing from our might!”

The ships appear above Vegeta, slowly beginning to enter the atmosphere.

“Now, my fellow Saiyans! Let us show them our might!” Vegeta shouts, transforming into a Super Saiyan and turning, gathering his power for a Final Flash.

“Ready?” Meloka asks you, flaring her aura.
“You bet.” you say, your aura flaring up as well. “I’ve been waiting for this.”

“The big one’s shields are probably stonger than those tiny ones’.” you say, straining as you begin your transformation. “We’re gonna need more power! HAAAA!!”

With that shout you transform into your Ultra Super Saiyan form, the ground cracking beneath you.
“You’re right.” Meloka says with a smirk. “I think we should.”
“Huh?” is all you have time to say, Meloka screaming out as she transforms as well. Her body swells, hair spiking up and out every which way, the lightning crackling along her aura as her transformation completes, everyone around nearby staring at her, you included. She sighs out then looks around, snapping at them.

“The fuck are you looking at? Hurry and gather your power, we’ve got assholes to kill!”
“R-Right!”
“Yeah.”
“Damn.”

You ignore them, focused on Meloka.
“But how? When-?”
“I’ve been able to do this.” she says with a smirk. “Its just not a good form to fight in. But for shooting down huge, slow moving targets? Perfect.”
“You’re the best.” you say, throwing your arms wide and gathering your power.
“You know it.” she says, flying to you and putting her back to your chest and throwing her arms wide as well. “Let’s do this!”

Gathering your powers together, you and Meloka slam your palms together, a more difficult move with all of your arms now massive. Your combined energy swells, reaching a critical mass as every Saiyan gathered fires as one:
“HYAAAAA!!”
“FINAL SHINE ATTACK!!”
“BLAAAAAAA!!”
“KANNON!!”
“HAAAAAAAA!!”
“FINAL FLASH!!”

Beams and balls of energy in every size and color fly through the sky, straight towards the Covenant fleet. Explosions rock the sky, the noise deafening as the gathered Saiyans bare their might to the Covenant. As the last attacks fade, everyone trying to catch their breath from the exertion, the smoke clears overhead, to everyone’s shock.

They’re still there! Two of the smaller ships sustained heavy damage, one’s engines smoking badly and falling from the sky, looking like it’ll crash outside the fortress walls. The third small ship seems fine, while the large one shows only minimal damage, your joint attack having only penetrated the energy field enough to crack the armor plating beneath.

“FOOLS!” a voice booms out, everyone flinching at the sheer volume of the voice. “You dare strike against the Covenant? You and your kind will fall, beneath divine justice! The gods have ordered your kind slain, and I am their instrument! Go my children, and destroy these impudent monkeys!”

At the mysterious voice’s command, several U-shaped dropships begin launching from each ship, all headed around to different points around the fortress, surrounding you all within its walls.

“Damn.” you say, glaring up at the largest ship. “That must be their leader.”
“Right, but what do we do now?” Meloka asks, still panting from firing that much power.

“It seems their ships are perfect for their coward of a leader to hide in!” Vegeta shouts, everyone turning to him. “But we are Saiyans! We won’t hide from our enemies behind shields and walls! We show our power openly, and crush weaklings like these beneath our feet! Everyone, Power Balls ready!”

What’s the plan?

You telepathically tell Meloka your plan, her chuckling in agreement. As you both take off, the Saiyans beneath you transforming into Oozaru, you can’t help but laugh at the simplicity of your plan. You both dash towards the smaller ships, both firing at each of you and trying to keep you back. But, in your bulked-up Ultra forms, you’re both too strong for their weapons, blasts barely scratching you as you ascend. Grabbing the ship from the rear, you think to Meloka:

“Ready?”
“Ready!”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=xFuIpCt1mik

“HAAAAAAAA!!!” you both shout out, putting all of your considerable might into this feat. Straining against the ship’s engines, you swing the ship up like an oversized bat, Meloka doing the same.

Your swings hit, the sides of the two ships smashing into each other right in the middles with incredible force. Their armor crumples under the combined force of yours and Meloka’s swings, both ships exploding in a massive fireball, shrapnel flying everywhere. The force of the blast knocks several of the dropships off-course, a dozen or so crashing into either each other or the ground.

“Heretics!” the voice returns, shouting frantically into your minds. “For your sins you will be punished, defying the will of the gods is-“

“SHUT UP!!” a familiar voice shouts from below. Wait, is that...?
cont
>>
>>2187184
“STUPID VOICE SHUT UP NOW!!” Ubo shouts, red aura flaring around him as he bends his knees, ground crumbling beneath his feet. With a shout he launches off of the ground straight for the nose of the commander’s ship, passing by you and Meloka like a blur. You both barely turn in time to see him smash the nose of the ship bare-handed, the force of his punch cracking and warping the armor plating, the ship’s nose now pointing skyward from the force of the strike. While the ship tries to reorient itself, slowly sinking towards the planet’s surface, Ubo flies over to you, looking embarrassed.

“Ubo sorry he overslept.” he says, looking like a kid caught misbehaving. “But voice woke Ubo up, now here to fight!”
“Glad you’re here Ubo.” yoi say, patting him on the shoulder. “You ready?”
“Ubo ready!” he says, flaring his aura again. The commander’s ship having leveled out, stopping its freefall to the planet as hundreds of attack ships begin pouring out from the ship’s hangers to defend the commander.

“Meloka, we need to slow them down.” you say, thinking your plan to her.
“Right, we got this!” she replies, gathering her power. “Watch our backs Ubo, would you?”
“Ubo strong!” he says, smashing a fist against his chest. “Protect friends.”
“Let’s do this.” you tell Meloka, beginning your attack.

“HA! HA HA HA HA HA!”
Hya! Hya ya ya ya ya!”

You both shout out with each Energy Mine fired, quickly filling the space between you three and your allies below, and the Covenant command ship. Their attack ships attempt to fly through the three-dimensional minefield, but to no success. The two or three dozen ships that made it through before the field of death was up zoom down towards your forces, firing down at the rampaging Oozaru. The rest fly around angrily, looking for any way through.

You and Meloka cease the attack, panting as you both revert back down to regular Super Saiyans, catching your breath.

“Now what?” Ubo asks, confused. “They can’t get through, but us too. Done fighting?”
“Not. Quite.” you pant out, still catching your breath. You’ve used up a bit of power, its taking a moment. You then think to Ubo, saving your lungs for catching your breath. “We’re gonna send these blasts up at them, once we’re ready.”
“Good plan.” Ubo replies out loud, smiling his goofy smile as he assumes a sitting position in the air, watching their ships dart about. After another few moments, you and Meloka have caught your wind.
“Ready?” you ask her.
“Let’s end this.” she replies, you both holding your arms out, then twisting your arms and pointing up.

“HELLZONE GRENADE!” you and Meloka shout, the Energy Mines launching skyward. The attacking ships are shredded, their shielding unable to withstand the attack. Two dozen or so survived the attack, having flown far enough out of range. The blasts that don’t explode on the lesser ships you both direct to bombard the commander’s ship, its shields and armor plating holding up despite the ferocious onslaught. The three dozen or so rest of the ships that survived purposefully avoid you three, headed down planetside instead.

Now there’s nothing between you and the commander’s ship, what will you do?

If we manage to take this baby in decent condition, should we have all our gear transferred over to the new ship from the old one, or should we just keep it on the old ship since it'll be in formation anyways?
Maybe have Leyas and Sarada pilot the old one?

Grunts? Yeah, the majority of them will follow through fear. Some will resist, though.
The splitjaws might follow too, depending on the situation. It'd be harder to get them on board, but I could see them reasonably siding with us, due to the bond between two warrior races. Of course, we'd have to fight honorably if we wanted to bring them into the fold. They're really big on honor, despite being fucks who go invisible and try to stab people in the back.
>>
>>2187425
The two of us destroyed 90% of their forces in seconds and destroyed two of their ships by literally grabbing them and smashing them together.

I don't know if they'd call that "honorable" or not, but by god they've gotta recognize power when they see it.
Everyone else is probably shitting their pants.
>>
>>2187437
The most likely to join us, victory or not, would be the kig-yar. Those birdlike fucks who hold those shields.
They're a pragmatic and mercantile race. The only thing they're loyal to is money and power, really. And things that get in the way of them getting money and power tend to get shot and stabbed, even if it's an ally.
>>
>>2187437
Fuck, just imagine that from the perspective of an average grunt, or even a seasoned veteran.

"Look to the man on your left. Now to your right. Now up, then down. Forwards and back. Then in three more directions.

“Time to get in there and find this commander.” you say, taking off towards the ship, Meloka and Ubo following close behind. As you approach the blast doors attempt to shut, but the three of you are quicker, dashing inside as the door slams shut behind the three of you.

“We’re not trapped in here with you.” Meloka says to herself, drawing her Energy Blade as you all scan the clearly frightened Covenant forces, daring them to make a move. From the far end of the hangar, one of the reptilian? Avian? Whatever it is, the creature hoists a rifle its own size and fires straight at your head. You complement its aim in your head as you lean to the side, the beam leaving a shallow cut across your cheek.

“It bleeds, we can kill it!” another of those odd creatures shouts, activating some sort of energy shield device on its arm and firing more of those damnable crystals at you, your team splitting up to dodge the deadly pink mist. The room explodes into chaos, blasts firing every which way from the assembled grunts and odd-looking creatures.

You focus on their weapons, the assembled creatures powerless without their toys. So you’ll take their weapons from them, de-fang the snakes. You dodge and weave through their weapons’ onslaught, firing Death Beams at opportune moments, destroying another weapon here, killing a grunt there. As you remain airborne , firing attacks into their midst and keeping them occupied, Meloka and Ubo have their own ways of doing this.

Ubo has no subtlety, roaring and crashing bodily into the weaker aliens, tearing them apart with his hands. A punch sends one flying up to crash into the ceiling, going through it and not coming back down. Meanwhile, Meloka has her Energy Blade out, dancing through the gathered masses and slicing them to ribbons. They can’t keep up, shooting at where she was as she advances, leaving a trail of corpses. Soon their morale begins breaking, the disarmed grunts running about in mindless terror as many of the other strange aliens flee deeper into the ship. This was what you were waiting for.

“ENOUGH!!” you shout out, everyone present freezing at the authority in your voice. With the attention of the entire hangar secured, you continue. “There’s no reason for you all to die today. For those who wish to live, lay down your weapons and surrender, and your lives will be spared. If you wish to die, then just keep fighting. The choice is yours.”

Silence hangs heavy, some of the aliens looking back and forth between each other, none knowing quite what to do. You look around triumphantly, the enemy ready to surrender. But before they can, a door opens at the rear of the hanger, several taller, more muscular aliens walking out.

“What’re you all standing around for?” the one in red armor with an odd staff yells in a deep voice. “If you lot can’t do it stand aside, I’ll kill them myself!”

Well, so much for diplomacy. The one in the red armor seems to be their leader, the rest of his blue-armored kinsmen following his orders. Meloka and Ubo both come back to you, the lesser aliens clearing well out of the way and pouring through side doors to avoid being collateral, several of the strange reptile/avian aliens perch on top of ships and crates around the hanger, intent on watching this fight. You can sense they’re strong, but not so much you all shouldn’t be able to handle them.

You all float down, landing across from these brutish enemies.
“You the leader around here?” you ask it, telepathically telling Meloka and Ubo to hold back, you’ve got this.
“Leader of my clan.” it replies, stepping before the rest of its group. “We’ve heard of you, monkeys. Strong warriors, especially you golden ones.”
“Yeah? Well come forward, big guy. You and me, let’s see who’s stronger.”
“ENOUGH OF THIS!” the voice returns, everyone starting at it. “Kill them! Kill the intruders!”
“Quiet, you squid-head!” the brute yells back, shocking your group. “This is a Jiralhanae matter now! We’ll finish this like warriors!”

The voice doesn’t reply, but you have the feeling that it has choice words for this creature. You focus your senses on this creature, its strength somewhere between Vegeta’s and Meloka’s. The brute strides forward, odd staff in hand, the rest taking several steps back.

“I’ll show you what a Super Saiyan can do!” you say, dashing straight towards the Jiralhanae leader, blade at the ready as you close the gap. It intends an overhead smash, and you can use that against it. You close, its hammer dropping as you get close. Before it strikes you, you twist clockwise past its swing, ready to strike. But before you can, his weapon hits the ground, a powerful shockwave sending you flying. After a second or two, you reorient yourself, the Jiralhanae leader beckoning, taunting you over to come try again.

You snarl as you charge, feigning mindless rage as you quickly form a new plan. It swings down as you charge again, but this time you’re ready. Its swing nears the ground, you pulling up short and stopping, planting your feet and bracing for impact. It realizes what you did at the last moment, too late to pull up. Its staff -a two-handed hammer now that you look closer- slams into the ground, another shockwave blasting out. This time, however, you’re ready. The wave slams into you, but you hold your ground. It feels like someone hit your entire body with a giant hammer of solid air, nearly winding you, but you hold out. After a moment the wave ends, and you seize your chance.

“Got you!” you shout, leaping at the Jiralhanae leader and slashing with a downward stroke at his head. He barely managed to bring his hammer up in time, whatever material it’s made of preventing your blade from cutting through. Not that it really matters. You launch into the advanced forms of the Su Ma technique, your blade coming at the creature from every side. Downward chop to tje head, backflip into a thrust, spin into a slash aimed at the spine, spin back into a cut; your strikes keep the Jiralhanae on the defensive, scoring several slashes into its thick hide and destroying parts of its armor as it desperately blocks fatal strikes.

“RAAAAAAAGH!” it shouts, a mix of frustration and agony as it slams its hammer into the ground, ducking a decapitating swing and sending you flying again. You tumble through the air, landing back on the ground ready to end the fight, when your instincts scream at you that you’re in danger. Reacting purely on instinct you twist clockwise, blade first. Instead of passing through air, your blade connects with another, the invisible blade becoming visible, along with the holder.

“What is the meaning of this, Elite scum?!” the Brute shouts angrily at the now-visible assassin, as you both disengage, you leaping back to Ubo and Meloka, three more of the Elite assassins appearing around you all.
“The Fleet Master ordered them killed.” it replies calmly, looking only at you. “Now let’s finish this job already, the rest of the Saiyans are gaining ground on our forces.

The Jiralhanae leader grumbles, but doesn’t argue, hefting his hammer high as his troops draw their weapons and point them at you, Meloka and Ubo, as the other elites activate their blades as well. You, Ubo and Meloka drop into your fighting stances, back to back to back, red and gold auras flaring.

“Through the floor.” you think to Meloka and Ubo, no time for a flashier plan as you deactivate your Energy Blade.
“Fire!” the Jiralhanae leader shouts, his men firing at you all at once. You lift an arm, smashing into and through the floor, the three of you dropping under the storm of blasts and explosives headed right for you.
“Now!” you shout, each of you smashing headlong through several walls, you focusing in on the lead assassin’s power. Suddenly it fades away, only a ghost of its’ previous level remaining.
“So that’s how it sneaks around while its invisible.” you think to yourself. “A neat trick. But not good enough!”

“Haaa!” you shout, smashing up through the floor behind the lead assassin. It turns and swings at you, you barely avoiding getting disemboweled. His dual blades sting as they part your flesh, cutting a line through your armor across your chest.
“Shit!” you shout in surprise, leaping back from the assassin’s blades.
“Got you!” it shouts, drawing an odd-looking weapon in its left hand and firing a barrage of shots at you. You have no time to dodge, bringing your arms up in an ‘x’ before your face, tanking the storm of blasts head-on. They scorch your arms, legs and stomach, going through your armor like it isn’t even there, burning your flesh. The attacks pound against you, pushing you back a few feet until you shout “BARRIER!” your shield going up and blocking the attacks. The assassin switches tactics, dashing blade-first through your barrier.

The creature rushing you gives you an idea. You duck the blade, then flipping aside as it fires its rifle at you. You dodge past its barrage of blasts, gaining distance and making the dodging easier. It roars in frustration, dashing headlong recklessly at you again, blade first. Now’s your chance!

Sidestepping his blade, you drive your other elbow deep into his gut, the creature wheezing as all the wind is forced from it. It drops its weapons, grabbing its gut and coughing up blood, staggering back. Before it gets away, you close the distance, wrapping it in your arms, trapping it.

“You ready?” you ask, flaring your aura. “I’m gonna send you to he-!”
You’re interrupted by the assassin opening its mouth and biting down, its multiple jaws squeezing your face and head from multiple angles, teeth sinking deep into you.

“Gaaaaah!” you scream in pain, being chewed a new experience in your career. You release the assassin, instinctively reaching for your face to free yourself. As you move, it moves as well, grabbing your arms at the wrist and preventing you from freeing yourself. You feel its teeth grinding into you, the pain extraordinary.

“KARN!” Meloka shouts out, but you can’t see from inside the beast’s jaws. The grinding sensation starts letting up, your vision dimming. It would be so easy to let go, to not hurt, to- NO! NOT LIKE THIS!

“RRRRAAAAAAAAA!!!”

You will NOT go out like this! You reach deeper into that golden well of ki, forcing out more power, as much as you can manage. You ascend with a primal scream and a flash of light, the explosion of energy blasting the assassin off of you, teeth tearing into your flesh as the beast is blasted off of you. Lightning dances around your golden aura, you glaring through the mask of blood on your face at the one responsible.

“Wh-What is this?” it asks, staring fearfully at you. You don’t answer, simply walking forward towards it. It backs up frantically, until it hits a wall. The assassin draws a grenade in either hand, the deadly spheres activating with a hum. “I’ll kill you! Even if I have to take you with me!”

It tries to pull its arms back to toss the grenades, but it is much too slow. You lift your left arm, finger pointed square at its head, and fire. It moves way too slow now, it not even reacting as you fire. Your beam pierces it through the head, and the walls behind it. Everyone stops as you kill the lead assassin, the room going deathly quiet. Everyone is facing you, waiting to see what you’ll do next. But before you can act, the voice speaks again.
“What are you Jiralhanae morons standing around for? Kill them! Fight! Do something!”
You turn to the Jiralhanae leader, walking up to him, the giant taking a step back in fear.
“Y-You were holding back this much?” it asks in astonishment. You simply nod, then ask it one question.

“That voice. Where is he?”
“Through that door, down the hall, then the first doorway on your left.” he replies, everyone astonished at him offering the information freely.
“Traitor!” one of the other assassins shouts, leaping at you both with his blade drawn. The lead Jiralhanae backs up, trying to draw his hammer in time, but you’re even faster. You catch him by the wrist, stopping his whole charge with one hand, blade inches from the Jiralhanae leader’s throat. You crush his wrist in your hand, severing his hand from his arm then hitting it the chest with a savage backhand, the force of your strike tearing the assassin in half. You turn back to the Jiralhanae leader, nodding once and walking past him.
“Get out of here.” you tell him, barely controlled anger in your voice. “We’ll finish our fight another time.”
“Karn, are you sure?” Meloka asks, running over to you, stopping when she sees your face. “Oh Karn...”

“Let’s go.” you say, gritting your teeth over the pain. “We need to end this soon, we still have another fleet to destroy after this.”
“Another?” Ubo asks, confused. Meloka fills him in as uou walk, following the Jiralhanae‘s directions. They lead you to an open room, two heavily armored creatures before you.
“Welcome, Saiyans!” the voice greets you, another Sangheili greets you from the raised platform. “To your doom! Hunters, kill them!”

Well, they seem odd, but you can’t place it. What will you do?

“THIS ENDS NOW!!” you shout, aura flaring and knocking the startled Ubo and Meloka back, the Hunters feet digging down into the ship’s floor.
“Wh-What?” their commander says, stepping back in fear. “What are you both standing around for? Kill him already!”
“I’VE HAD IT WITH YOU!!” you shout, aura changing as you prepare your attack. “YOU CAN GO STRAIGHT TO HELL!! DRAGON FIST!”

You explode off of the ground, golden ki dragon forming around your fist as you charge.
“Stop him!” the commander shouts, the Hunters leaping to intercept you.
“GET OUT OF MY WAY!!” you shout, blasting past the creatures and heading straight for the Fleet Commander.
“I WILL NOT DIE HERE!” it shouts, a shield forming around him. You push against his shield, putting your everything into this attack. You feel his shield beginning to weaken, one final push all that’s needed to finally end this.

“RRRAAAAAAAA!!!” you shout, shattering the commander’s shield, your attack piercing straight through him in a single strike. Your attack continues, blasting straight through him and the ship, ending up outside the ship.

Panting, you turn, looking back at the ship behind you, checking the damage. It seems you hit something vital with your attack, explosions rocking the ship. It begins listing to the side, black smoke pouring from the interior out of the hole you made, Meloka and Ubo leaping from the hole towards you, the ship going up in a fireball behind them. You feel lightheaded, your Super Saiyan aura fading.
“Karn!” Meloka shouts, dashing to you and shouting something else, but you can’t make it out. Darkness takes you yet again, your mind drifting off into a dreamless sleep.

What kind of tardo engineer designs the ship so that the helm is surrounded by things that can chain explode so easily
There's no damn safety measures in this damn ship! No failsafes or breach sealing! You gotta design the ship so that if one area, somehow, gets massively fucked, then the rest is sealed off and protected from it. Especially in a spacefaring ship!
>>
>>2189534
It is important, but not many designs take into account a Saiyan able to punch a straight line completely through the entire ship. They didn’t build it for withstanding firepower greater than its own from the inside.

Leyas, Turles, Sarada, and Tunnip. You’re slightly surprised to see neither Nappa or Ubo among them, but you know Vegeta may damn well need their help on the frontlines. They all turn as the door opens, you strolling in like nothing happened. All of their scouters activate at once, numbers climbing to show your new power. Only one’s eyes aren’t glued to her scouter, Meloka rushing to you instead and burying her face in your chest.

“D-Damn you for making me worry!” Meloka sobs, beating you in the chest with a fist once in frustration. “Just once, could you not almost-die while we’re fighting?”
You have no answer, just wrapping your arms around her and letting her cry it out. As she sobs into your chest, you hold her close, looking to everyone else to fill you in. Leyas chuckles at the display, Sarada elbowing him in the ribs then filling you in.

“We left yesterday.” she says, pulling up a star map. It shows your path, as well as the predicted path of the rest of the fleet. “But we have a problem. Even going full-speed, not slowing to allow Attack Pods to keep up, we’re still three months away from New Salda. Best-case senario, we’ll arrive three hours after the Covenant fleet.”
“Three hours?” you ask, your stomach sinking. “And we can’t make this time up?”

The looks you see around the room explains why everyone was here. They had all realized this as well. With no other options, you will just have to keep going forward.

“Well nothing we can do about it now.” you say, trying to put on a confident front to hide the worry for your children and people. “We’ll have to hope they can hold their own until we get there. In the meantime, we need to prepare.”
“Right!” they all say, even Meloka, having calmed down while you were talking.
“Three months.” she says thoughtfully. “What’re you gonna do?”

What training will you focus on for the first half of the trip?(1 1/2 months)

Those covenant shields are a real problem, so how about for our second half, we try to upgrade the energy javelins into something built for the job of ripping right through those damn ships and crippling them?

Or maybe...hmmm...
Combine energy javelins with energy mines/hellzone grenade? Instead of simple bombs, it's a whole fuckload of energy javelins that we converge onto the enemy after distributing them.

I'm also open to other suggestions. But I do think we should focus on anti-shield shit.

“First things first.” you say, closing your eyes and thinking to the Guardian, preparing to tell him what’s coming, but he beats you to the punch.
“Well aware, I am.” he tells you. “Already informed me, Meloka has.”
“Good, then I’ll keep this short. We’re coming with some reinforcements, but its looking like we’ll be about three hours late to the party. Think you can keep them busy for that long?”
“A few tricks up my sleeve, I have.” he says, you wondering what he means. “Focus on preparing, you should.”
“Right, thanks!” you think back, ending the conversation. Opening your eyes, everyone is looking at you expectantly.
“Meloka and I’ve got our own training to do.” you say. “Let’s get started.”

Over the next six weeks you and Meloka train in the Gravity Chamber, cranked to the max. You both spend hours everyday sparring non-stop, the complicated maneuvers of the Su Ma even more taxing in 15x New Salda’s gravity. As the weeks pass, you realize that this training is somewhat self-limiting. With the intense gravity slowing both of your movements, your reflexes aren’t noticibly improved. You feel your stamina’s increased a bit, as have your speed and technique. But you can’t help but feel you could have done better.

Sarada and Leyas, meanwhile, didn’t manage to push themselves in the Gravity Chamber very far, staying at 13x New Salda’s gravity. Tunnip and Turles’ training, however, has some catastrophic results. Sparring in 12x New Salda’s gravity, Turles took one of Tunnip’s Energy Blades through the chest, nearly killing him. He had to spend several days in the Healing Pod, emerging stronger than when he went in. Tunnip’s training sagged a bit flying solo as a result.

You have only 6 more weeks before arrival, what will you do?
>Su Ma training with Meloka, improves technique and reflex
>Maxed Gravity Chamber, increase strength and speed

wait, i have an idea.

That assassin who walked through our barrier, the ship getting destroyed by our dragon punch from the inside...
Instead of trying to punch through their shields, why don't we just fire off a galick gun or final flash from within their shields?

Like literally just fly up there and get close enough to touch the hull, then let loose on it.
>>
>Try to make that Hellzone Spear technique

For the last six weeks you decide to train everyone together, full-throttle. Maxing out the Gravity Chamber, you push most of your team to their limits. Leyas and Turles especially give training their all, adapting to the 15x New Salda’s gravity within the first two weeks. Sarada and Tunnip, however, seem to have a difficult time, not adjusting as quickly, still not fully adjusted by the end of training.

However, you have a different problem. You’ve become too powerful for the chamber’s current limits. Even at the maximum intensity, you adjust within minutes. The Gravity Chamber really doesn’t offer much of a challenge for you now, you’ll have to have it overhauled to give you any significant training.

With the last session finished, and everyone rested up, your team is now as follows:

Karn-171470
Meloka-91974
Leyas-69341
Sarada-83565
Turles-68923
Tunnip-71644

All that is left is the waiting. You decide to walk to the bridge, surprised to find Tunnip already there, the map with projected arrival times pulled up and her head in her hands. You walk over to her and place a hand on her shoulder, jumping in shock at your touch.

“You okay?” you ask her, looking down worriedly at her.
“It doesn’t matter.” she says, sounding as if she’s been crying. “No matter how strong we get, how hard we train, we’re still going to be late. In three minutes that fleet’s gonna reach New Salda and there isn’t a damn thing we can do about it!”
She’s now standing, shouting at you in frustration. You’re about to speak, when someone else beats you to it.

“Is this a bad time?”
You both turn to the voice, an oddly familiar woman before you. Purple skin, blue hair, and a familiar-looking red and black skintight outfit. You both stare at the odd woman who just appeared on your ship, neither of you able to speak. She takes this as permission, continuing. “Saiyan Karn, Mistress Towa has requested you and your team for an urgent mission. Would you gather them here please?”
“How urgent?” you ask, your sense of concern growing. Tunnip looking back and forth beteeen the two of you, confused.
“You could always wait around here for another three hours instead, then begin the mission if you’d prefer.” the strange woman says, her voice oddly metallic. “But if you wish to save New Salda, you’ll come with me.”

That is enough to decide it for you, hitting the comms and ordering everyone on the bridge now. They’re all there, ready to go, in 60 seconds. The woman scans the gathered fighters, then turns to you and resumes speaking.
“Now that you all are here, place a hand on Karn.”
Everyone looks around for a few seconds, complying with the strange order.
“Good. Now Karn, you must choose: the Guardian’s island or the mainland.”
“Choose?” you ask. “What do you mean choose?”

The most likely options are that either the Guardian is killed (which would doom the planet), our daughter is tortured and killed (which would doom the entire *universe* as Broly absolutely snaps), or the Covenant end up awakening a classic ancient evil (which could anywhere from total universal annihilation, to full-body multiverse-scale devastation). So yeah, Bad Things all around.

You think it over for a half second, but the answer is obvious.
“The mainland.” you say confidently. “Their target is probably the city. We need to protect them.”
“Of course.” the woman says. “Hold on ti-“
“No you don’t!” Trunks shouts, appearing in a flash of light and rushing right for her. But then you all aren’t on the ship anymore. You blink a few times, and sure enough you’re back on New Salda.
“How?”
“What?”
Your team exclaim, you instead turning to the woman.
“Thank you...?”
“Churai.” she says, putting two fingers to her forhead.
“Thank Towa for me, will you?” you ask before she goes. She doesn’t acknowledge you, vanishing into thin air.
“Now THAT’S a useful power. Turles says, walking up beside you.
“Damn right.” you say, amazed. “She’s got good help.”
“This ‘Towa’, right?” he asks you, you nodding. “I’ll have to meet her somet-“
“They’re here!” Leyas shouts, pointing up. You all turn, including the other Saiyans who’d been actively gawking at your group who’d just appeared out of thin air, looking up into the sky. You can just make out the silhouettes of the ships high in the sky. You made it, just in time too.

“Karn? How is this possible?” the Guardian asks you. “Moved instantly, you did.”
“Long story short, a friend gave us a ride.” you think back.
“You have useful friends, Super Saiyan.” a new voice appears in your head.
“Wait who are you?” you asks the new voice, feeling a sudden, tremendous surge of ki from the Guardian’s Island.
“I’ve gone by many names and titles over the years.” the voice replies, as that power grows higher and higher, surpassing what you’d felt of Freeza’s power by a mile. “But the one you may address me as is King Cold, the father of Freeza.”
“Freeza’s father?” Meloka asks, hopeful. “Then you must be amazingly strong! Will you help us with these invaders?”
“Absolutely not.” he says sternly, then relents. “Oh all right, perhaps just one. See that small one at the rear of the formation? I’ll handle that one, you’re on your own for the rest.”
“Thank you very much, King Cold.” you reply, relief washing over you. All right, you’re here, you can do this!

“Alright everyone, listen up!” you shout, transforming into a Super Saiyan and floating up, to ensure everyone’s fully focused on you. Once you have everyone’s attention, you point into the sky at the ships slowly descending. “This is the Covenant! They’re here to wipe us off the face of the universe. They consider us heretics, and call it their sacred duty to eliminate our kind. They failed to beat us in their system, so like cowards they appear here now, to kill the elderly and children. This shows their true colors! They aren’t warriors, they’re cowards. So we’ll kill them like the cowards they are! I need everyone to work together, to focus your power, and shoot that rightmost ship down! They came here expecting easy targets, but forgot one important thing! We! Are! SAIYANS!”

A cheer goes up from the gathered Saiyans, rallied and ready to fight. As you land beside your team, Sarada elbows you in the ribs.
“Good going, General.” she taunts you jokingly.
“Ok everyone I need you all to fire with them, alright? Meloka and I’ll handle the left one.”
“Well if you’re sure.” he says, turning and gathering his power. Meloka flashes up to a Super Saiyan as well, again combining your powers for a Couple Final Flash. The ground shakes from the sheer volume of power being gathered, the air feeling electric.

“NOW!!” you shout out, your and Meloka’s palms slammin together, attack ready.
“FINAL FLASH!!” you both shout out in sync, golden wave of death racing into the sky. Everyone around you shouts out the names of their attacks, of just a “Haaaa” if they aren’t as flashy, beams of every size and color blasting from the surface of New Salda, straight for the invading fleet. You and Meloka’s joint attack smashes into the ship’s shield, actually pushing the ship back away from the planet as the shield holds. Everyone else’s combined strength seems to be faring better, hitting the shield in several places seemingly more effective, wearing that ship’s shield down the same time yours and Meloka’s attack does, your Couple Final Flash punching straight through the armored hull as the shield fails, blasting out the top as well. The other ship doesn’t fare much better, pierced through by dozens upon dozens of smaller beams. The damage to that ship is less centralized, but no less effective.

As all of your attacks fade, the two heavily damaged ships, possibly beyond repair, start dropping from the air like stones. Before they get far a lone, small pink beam rises up and splits the last small ship, the two halves drifting apart separately for a few seconds until several explosions rock the halves along the split. You all watch awestruck as King Cold’s attack destroys a ship entirely by itself. And from what you can sense of his power, he wasn’t even trying.
cont
>>
>>2190032
You stand there, stunned. Cold’s attack pierced that ship and its shield alike, like it wasn’t even there. How much power did he put into that attack? Saving those thoughts for later, you focus on yhe here and now. And your thoughts are immediately scrambled.

“FOOLS! HERETICS! HOW DARE YOU DEFY US, EXECUTORS OF THE WILL OF THE GODS?” another voice begins, just as annoying and self-righteous as before. “YOU SHALL ALL LEARN YOUR PLACE!”

As it speaks, dozens of those u-shaped dropships and hundreds of fighters begin pouring from the ship, like a swarm of angry bees from a beehive.

“Shit, this is bad.” Turles says, still catching his breath.
“C’mon, bring it on! I’ll kill you all!” Sarada shouts at the ships, pumping herself up.
“What’s the play?” Meloka asks you, gathering energy into her palms.

“Okay, gather in, here’s the plan.” you say, your team and several dozen other Saiyans gathering around you. You outline your plan, to nods and “uh-huh”s, everyone on board. “All right, let’ do this!”

“Right!” Tunnip, Turles, and Meloka shout, gathering their energy into their palms and beginning to fire their Hellzone Grenade attacks. Meanwhile Leyas and Sarada organize the other Saiyans, ordering them about for maximum effect with minimal collateral when they transform.

With this storm of activity around you, you’re mosty still. Gathering your power, you focus on that deeper power, delving into the deths of that golden ki well of Super Saiyan potential. You pull forth as much power as you can manage, lightning running along your increasingly intense aura. You feel yourself becoming stronger, faster, angrier, and deadlier. These assholes would kill your daughter without a second thought, and that pisses you off! You roar as you transform up again, into an Ascended Super Saiyan. Your sudden burst of energy knocks down several nearby Saiyans, the concrete shattering beneath your feet as your power radiates off of you in waves. Lightning crackles along your aura angrily as you glare up at the invading ship. You crouch as you prepare to leap, but before you can Meloka turns to you, grabbing you by the face and kissing you deeply for a moment, then releases you with a “Be safe.”
“I will.” you reply, then blast off.

You cross the distance quickly, but not quick enough to avoid incoming. Several dozen turrets on the ship’s underside sight you in and fire, you crossing your arms over your face as you continue your upward journey. The beams sting a bit, burning your arms a little, but after having your head as a split jaw’s chewtoy this is nothing. You power through the attacks, closing the distance and forcing them to quit firing. Reaching the ship’s armored hull, you start gathering your energy into your fingertip.

“Look out.” Meloka thinks to you, you flying up from the bottom to the top of the ship, looking down. The massive minefield they’d created begins flying upward, smashing into the bottom of the commander’s ship as well as the fleet of small fighters and dropships it had released, explosions everywhere, the show like beautiful fireworks. Nearly a third of the ships survive, but not for long.

“ROOOOOOAAAAAAAAR!!!!”

Dozens upon hundreds of Saiyans, now Oozaru, roar out in rage at the attackers, firing Mouth Blasts up into the sky as well to add to the carnage You watch for a few moments, mesmerized by the sheer beauty of watching your people bringing death, until you snap out of it. You have your own job to do.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=hLDtlBlSLxA

Focusing again on your power, gathering it into as fine a point as you can manage, you are a sea of quiet amidst the chaos. Your power reaching critical levels, you freefall backwards off the nose of the ship, backflipping to reorient yourself, then fire.

“DEATH BEAM!!” you shout, powerful pink beam erupting from your fingertip. From this range, inside the shield, your beam punches straight through the ship’s armored hull with little resistance.

“HAAAAAAAAA!!!” you shout, dragging your finger downward despite the heavy resistance, your attack tearing the Covenant Fleet Commander’s ship apart. As your beam slices through the last of the ship you end the attack, feeling drained. You feel your Ascended power fading, you releasing it to hold onto base Super Saiyan, freefalling back to the planet as you catch your breath.
“And King Cold did that so effortlessly!” you think to yourself, feeling arms grabbing you and slowing your uncontrolled descent. “His power is amazing, imagine having that kind of strength at your dispos-“
“Karn, are you okay?” Meloka shouts at you, snapping you out of it.
“Huh? Ye-yeah I’m fine, that, that just took a lot out of me.” you tell her, trying to catch your breath. Thankfully she doesn’t ask anything else, just dropping to the hospital rooftop nearby and setting you down, letting you have a moment to gather yourself.
“I thi-think we did it.” you say, sitting up after a few moments. “I’m drained, mind checking for survivors hun?”
“Of course.” Meloka says smiling, closing her eyes a moment before going pale, shooting open and looking to you.
“KARN LOOK OUT!!”

You figure it best NOT to look, instead focusing on surviving. Whatever it is worried Meloka, that’s enough for you. Acting quick, you throw your arms out to the sides, shouting, “BARRIER!”

However, you’re too slow. You feel something passing through your energy directly above you before it fully hardened into a shield, you rolling aside and to your feet and hands to dodge whatever’s coming. With a crash, one of the hulking creatures smashes into the roof beside you, its metal shield embedded in the rooftop where your head was a moment before. Its odd head turns to you, emitting a strange roar, its entire body shaking as it pulls its shield free, then charges you. Its too quick to dodge, you bracing yourself and checking its charge, stopping its shield-first charge with your hands. It pushes you back a dozen or so feet, your feet digging twin trenches in the roof as you finally stop its powerful charge. But what’s that humming sound? You find out, and it hurts.

The creature slings its shield arm upwards, your arms knocked aside as you lose your balance, caught completely off-guard. It swings its glowing green right arm, slamming it barrel-first into your gut. Taking that momentum, it lifts you over its head to crash you into the roof, firing the weapon. Before it shot, you managed to partially form your barrier, mitigating some of the blast, but it still hurt like hell. The green beam takes you in the gut, blasting you down through a dozen or so floors until you finally come to a stop, crashing through a table.
“Karn?!” Meloka shouts from above, you hearing another heavy crash above.
“I’m fine!” you shout back up, taking stock of yourself and your surroundings. Seems your shield worked, the armor scorched but not blasted through, although there’s something loose in your head. It seems you landed in some sort of break room full of startled, wide-eyed doctors, all looking at you like you, well, fell from the sky.

“Run you morons!” you shout, rolling to the side to avoid being crushed again, the behemoth landing shield-first where you were. They flee in a panic, the creature focused entirely on you. But this time you’re ready, assuming your stance as it pulls the shield free and turning to you, blasting that odd roar of its in your face.

You stand tall before the hulking monster, getting your first good look at it. It’s easily twelve foot tall, if not more, and built like a tank with all that heavy armor. Your ki sense tells you something rather odd, it isn’t a single creature. Its as if hundreds of creatures came together and pooled their power, making a single, ridiculously powerful entity. Each individual isn’t that strong, but their power is multiplied with each of them connected together. Together, its power dwarfs yours, easily twice your Super Saiyan power if not more. That in its own right is terrifying, your hand shaking a bit as you and the creature circle each other, each looking for an opening.

It quickly grows bored of the inaction, roaring again and charging you. If you’d blinked, you would have been crushed. Instead, you rushed as well, dropping into a slide, gathering your power and firing an Energy Wave.

“HAAAAA!!” you shout, wave catching the creature from below and sending it back up through the ceilings, it clearing the roof before it could escape your wave, rolling off the attack to crash to the roof. You float up out of the hole, seeing Meloka dodging and weaving around another of the odd creature clusters using the Su Ma technique, barely staying ahead of their onslaught. The one you blasted back outside roars at you again, gathering power in its cannon to fire at you, the telltale green glow giving its master plan away.

What will you do now?
>Rush and attack it before it fires
>Rush and Su Ma before it fires
>Defend, Barrier then counterattack

As its weapon charges, you have a clever idea. Before the creatures can fire their weapon, you raise a hand, firing a Death Beam right into the weapon, the beam piercing out its elbow. It roars in pain at you, stopping when it notices a high-pitched whining coming from its weapon. You, Meloka, and both creatures pause, everyone stopping for a moment and staring at the weapon. You aren’t left waiting long. After a few more seconds, the entire weapon explodes in a massive blast, shrapnel flying everywhere. You shield your face, several small chunks of metal digging into your bare arms, none thankfully hitting anywhere particularly sensitive.

Lowering your arms, you see a satisfying sight: the creature colony’s right arm has been obliterated, it clutching the stump in agony. With the loss of so many of the tiny creatures that comprise its’ mass, that massive powerlevel has shrunk considerably, now weaker than Meloka’s Super Saiyan form. Before it can move to flee you hold up a hand and gather your power, firing off an Energy Wave and obliterating the creature. Once the smoke clears, you all see the creatures have been destroyed.

“ROOOOAAAAR!!” the other massive creature howls, its powerlevel shooting sky-high at seeing its friend, counterpart, its whatever destroyed. It forgets completely about Meloka, barreling straight towards you.
“Damn, its fast!” you think, the creature closing the distance in an instant.

You have only a moment to act, what do you do?
>Meet its charge head on, power vs power
>Su Ma, strike while avoiding its attacks
>Defend, try and whether the onslaught
>Evade, avoid it for as long as possible and let it wear down
>Energy Blade, try and cut through its exposed unarmored middle

With any luck, tins thing will quickly expend itself, and we can then take it out form there. I doubt that these things can reliably defend themselves once their overall energy has been depleted some.
>>
>>2190603
If we cut off just ONE limb it'll be so weak that we can kill it instantly.
We need to dissect this motherfucker with an energy blade.

This is the part where karn learns how to make an energy longsword as opposed to an energy dagger.
>>
>>2190630
Now feel me on this, i don't know what these things are, but i'm going to guess if you give it a chance it'll reconnect that severed arm pretty quick, so you're going to want to chop it's limb off in one swipe and use your other arm to blow away the main body in the same motion.

I think it's in a blind rage right now so kicking up a bunch of dust to blind it would probably help, or just a big, weak blast of energy, really anything that will confuse it for a moment while we get in close and cut it apart.

So, a little off topic but... how is the main character so powerful. Prince Vegeta was one of the most powerful Saiyans ever, and his power level of 18,000. This character is more powerful then even Captain Ginyū.

And for that matter, why is King Vegeta so much stronger then his son?
>>
>>2190742
Early access to high gravity training and near-death zenkai boosts mostly. Also "King" Vegeta is canon DBZ's prince, he forcibly succeeded his father.

OP only shows base power levels, there are currently 4 Super Sayain: Us, Meloka, Broly, and Vegeta. We can also do SSj2, and both us and Meloka have Ulttra Super Sayain (the form Future Trucks used against perfect cell).
>>2190764
And like this guy implies this is all available info from archive binging.
>>
>>2190742
Vegeta killed king vegeta, and became the new king.
The current king vegeta is Z-Fighter vegeta.

The average saiyan powerlevel is much higher than 10,000 now, ever since karn became the first super saiyan and basically the whole race "awoke" to their true potential.

>>2190761
Powerlevels are bullshit, don't try and measure them against canon.
Karn has achieved SSJ2, meloka has gone as far as USSJ. They both have achieved a relaxed supersaiyan state. Vegeta has also finally been triggered hard enough to achieve super saiyan status.
Everyone else besides broly hasn't achieved the state yet.

Your practice kicks in, twisting past the creature’s first lightning-fast strike, it slamming its cannon arm down at you. You spin clockwise behind it, ducking under the shield immediately backhanded at you then backflipping just past a savage kick aimed for your face. You land with no time to settle yourself, furiously reteating from the monsters’ unrelenting assault. You have no time to counterattack, no time to think. If you lost focus for even a moment, it’d be all over. You know you damn well don’t stand a chance against this thing, but you have no time to flee either. You twist, duck, and flip past attacks, several times too close for comfort. You and the beast continue your primal dance, neither willing to surrender despite you both wearing down. Your moves becoming sloppier as you can’t catch your breath, its strikes slowing down and losing power as it seems to finally begin to tire.

“Karn! Move!” Meloka shouts, you leaping away instantly as the beast turns to her instead, trying to catch your breath. Meloka has her Energy Blade drawn, floating only a few dozen feet from the creature, but something’s different. There’s a LOT more power in her blade than usual. It looks between you and her, as if deciding who it’ll attack.

“Oh hell no!” Meloka shouts, dashing right at it. “He’s mine!”
She shouts as she swings her blade, at least eight feet short and for a split-second you wonder if she’s okay, then you see it. Every time she swings her blade, another Energy Blade launches from within it, stabbing into the creature. It roars in pain, trying to rush Meloka but her bladework is too quick. Within five seconds there are more than two dozen blades impaling the creature, it now roarig in agony as it drops to a knee, each movement probably extremely painful. Meloka flourishes her blade still in her hand, all the blades in the creature glowing brighter for a moment then detonating in a bright flash of light. Once the light fades, you see the creature has been obliterated, empty husks of armor remaining. Meloka sighs out, extinguishing her blade.

“I’ve been waiting to test that one out.” she says, smiling contentedly up at you. “Are you all right?”
“I’m fine.” you get out between breaths, landing beside Meloka and taking a seat, catching your breath. Not many things can exhaust someone quite like extreme high-speed life-or-death fights. You’re both caught off-guard at the sound of applause behind you, turning to see the source.

“Well done, Super Saiyans.” King Cold says, landing on the roof before you both. “Such power, speed, skill, and even grace. I must say, I am impressed.”

His master convinced him to give you a chance, at least watch you fight. Your command over the other Saiyans worried him, you copying his attack was a mix of a touch of pride and a bit of “hey that’s MY move”. But your show against the mad hunter, completely avoiding all of its attacks reminded him of his father. And Meloka’s attack, in his opinion, was needlessly flashy but certainly got the job done.

He’ll be back.
>>2190819
His master did, over the past several months.

>>2190839
So when are we asking cold for permission to marry frieza? Matrilineally of course, don't want to usurp his title as emperor.
>>
>>2190839
>Your command over the other Saiyans worried him'
We're a general, we're supposed to be able to command troops, aren't we?

Frieza even went so far as to trust us to take care of half of his assault. He believes karn is capable enough to do that, and i hope karn delivered on the trust frieza placed in him.

>You copying his attack was a mix of a touch of pride and a bit of “hey that’s MY move”
We (meloka) learned it from watching frieza blast us with it a bunch! It's a really good technique.

I'm really interested in what the general saiyan population was thinking when they watched essentially pic related >>2190170 happen in the skies over their world.
That must have been one hell of a sight to see. One hell of an inspirational moment.
That's goddamn general karn up there, a true saiyan warrior, the super saiyan of legends.
It's not just legends and stories though, they fucking witnessed it today.

And no doubt the fact that multiple super saiyans exist is public knowledge.
Just wait until they hear that their king went super saiyan, too.

The saiyan race is on the fast track to becoming something special.
I still want saiyans to end up being the cold clan's royal guard, special warriors chosen and trained like the sith emperor's redguard, becoming friends during training and fighting eachother to the death to achieve super saiyan status before they can serve on cold family ships
>>
>>2190903
We need to get Freeza laid so he can have a daughter to play with our kids, and maybe marry Chili.

Right, so as a General why hasn't Frieza gotten us spanky new armor to reflect that? Something in white and purple.

>>

>>

Not so much marry as being attached at the hip, if ya get my meaning. One thing you can say, monkeys can be endearing little buggers. And maybe Chili being "not Goku" of our species might make her the new Chi-Chi or something. I imagine King Cold being an old fashion dude.
>>
>>2190893
Waaaat?
>>2190903
Yes you are. And it worries him. What if you lead other troops as well as fellow Saiyans? What if you DO get strong enough to push Freeza, and challenge him?
Freeza trusts Karn, Cold still has his worries.
Their thoughts went from:
“Holy shit Karn just fucking destroyed that big-ass ship! I’m gonna be strong just like him one day!”
to
“If he can do that, why the hell did we even need to bother helping shoot down that other ship?”
Saiyans, especially Super Saiyans, are quickly building a fearsome reputation across the universe.
>>2190915
Waaaaaat?
>>2190916
He knows that you couldn’t give a flying fuck about protocol or appearances, you’d leap into battle(or meet the strongest deity in the universe) nude without flinching. The main reason you have that rank is to keep anyone from interfering while you’re working and trying to give you retarded orders you’d certainly ignore. Insubordination isn’t tolerated, you get a swift death penalty handed to you. So what better way to avoid that entire fiasco than by ranking you directly under him?
>>2190927
>friends with Freeza

>>2190945

What’s considered old fashioned in most of the universe is simply last century’s fad to him. Cold has witnessed empires rise and fall.

About a year or so, and Goku was born, he is in the space bonnies with his family after Bardock pulled a Turles instead. We have no knowledge on what he is up too right now.

Bardock ended up taking his family along to go seed planets with trees of might, so Goku is with him and is still a little baby. I know that Turles is still a loyal PTO soldier, in part due to some shit we've done in our interactions with him.

You DO realize that Femme isn't the definitive Platonic Expression of Death, correct? At absolute *BEST* he's just a somewhat powerful minor spirit who has etched out a bureaucratic system within the Earth domain in order to make managing certain souls easier. He is NOT an entity capable of keeping track of the passing of stars, bacteria, cosmic principles, or even full-blown divinities. He's just there to help make the jobs of the Big Boys easier, and *only* within a certain sphere of influence. That's all.

I've said it before elsewhere, but I feel that american comics are shit for a few different reasons.
First and foremost, the structuring. Let's say you want to start reading Spiderman, yeah? Where do you start - the beginning, right? But it's not at all easy to find the beginning. And even then, there's seven different beginnings, based on which artist is doing what and which specific continuity you're starting up. And that's bullshit - just fuckin start at volume 1, don't give each artist their own volume 1, and stop fuckin remakin that shit under various different names for the love of christ. It's ridiculous. Even Calvin and Hobbes is easier to find the start of, because they've just got books with the volume number right on there.

Then there's the content, but as you said it's been going down the drain steadily. I think this part doesn't need explained in detail much.

Man, and don't get me started on the true start of american comics. They were fuckin bad - I know they were started way fuckin back ago when media was underdeveloped as shit, but come on. It was the blandest shit, both in art and content. How it grew so huge in popularity is mind boggling with quality as low as it was back in the infancy of comics.

Doesn't matter. The fact that you'd rather shit up a good Quest with whiny shitflinging all because "ITDOESNTFOLLOWDALOREREEEE!!" If you'd rather everything follow the EXACT premise of Dragon ball with no deviations from the norm, there are dozens of Quests on the Catalog alone that would suit your tastes. So don't come in here sperging out over "WDe Estableshed Settingz" when everything seen thus far shows that this setting is NOT normal DB in any way shape or form.

>Kind of makes me wonder what it was like for Berus to kill these things.
Beers probably only fought the Flood when they were really, REALLY weak. The Flood at full strength, as per Silentium, could twist the very constants of the universe in any form they so pleased, and they had Star Roads at their beck and call. I don't see Beerus *LOSING* to them, but they would probably give him a very hard time.
>>
>>2191644
I dunno, destruction energy is OP as shit. And because flood grow in power exponentially as they get more biomass, they're reduced in power exponentially when biomass is destroyed. All he'd need to do is destruction nuke the graveminds and keyminds and they'd be crippled as shit, and the unfortunate thing about them is that they're huge, stationary targets. Couple it with Beerus's ability to multiform, and he could probably hit every single one of them simultaneously to wipe out the flood's intelligence. From there on, it's just a tedious cleanup duty for all the other stuff. Admittedly, he probably just nuked every planet they interacted with, and mopped up anything noteworthy in space.
>>
>>2191644
Reminder Necromorph Markers from Dead Space could very well exist somewhere in deep space, dormant and thus below Beerus' radar. But the moment Beerus even REMOTELY senses their presence or influence anywhere, they're 100% annihilated. Markers are no fucking joke dude, Beerus being aware of how bad they are and actively on guard for them, is probably the only reason why none of them have reached Brethren Moon status yet.

Yeah and they are supposed to be jobbers by a mile, with the "Elite" units being the issue. Like the Godzilla showdowns, those make sense as being a threat. I could buy the Alien's maybe finding a few weak bodies, fuckers are like cockroaches, I could even go with Ctual cat fuckers, I could even believe the Arbiter and Master Chief being a threat as they pull off bullshit back to back. >>2191917
Elites and Brutes are physical threats, but not ones you can’t handle unless either they get lucky or you make a mistake, or both. Grunts, Jackals, Drones, etc aren’t threats, except in large numbers with deadly weapons firing en-masse(or a lucky grenade toss). Hunters are really powerful, even at Ascended they’re still physically stronger than you. For now. But they can’t even fly, much less fire energy attacks without weaponry.
>>2191944
Every time.
>>2191968
After awhile in this campaign, the PTO will certainly have upgraded gear for the soldiers and elites. Also, some of the eggheads have been working on the scouters themselves, making them no longer explode when reading a powerlevel higher than Freeza’s base.

Oy lads, let's start coming up with some ideas for techniques that Karn and/or Meloka could develop in the future!
Hellzone spear was one that was already talked about - the combination of Hellzone Grenade and Energy Javelin.
Death Barrier - Actually a combination of Explosive Wave and Barrier, despite the name. I just thought it sounded cooler. Used to punish enemies foolish enough to try to physically strike the barrier, by making it harmful to touch.
Trap Sphere - Combination of Energy Bomb and Barrier, you tag someone with it and it expands into a fully fledged barrier around them. Could come in variants where the barrier lets things in but doesn't let things out, or where it straight up doesn't let anything in or out. Useful for keeping an enemy out of the fight for a while, or protecting a target (who might not necessarily want protected).
>>
>>2192456
Would you rather go the (stronger) God route or the SS4 (and onwards) route?
>>
>>2192590
Demon Karn route
>>
>>2192593
Why not all three?
>>
>>2192563
I am 100% for this idea. (wondering how many of the moves I came up with you guys’ll think of)
>>2192590
Why not both?
>>2192593
Not a form you’ll be able to hold on your own, no matter how much you practice or train. For that power you’ll need Towa or another powerful demonic entity channeling demonic ki into you.
>>
>>2192563
That trap sphere, the name needs improvement but the technique itself is *fucking* deadly.
It functions like a far more efficient Grinder, because all of the energy is reflected off the inside walls, close to 99% of the energy you put into the explosives will be dumped into the enemy's body.
There's also the potential that you could create a zone of extremely high pressure inside the sphere, depending on how much energy is dumped into it, not just severely burning them, but crushing them as well. And then when you release it? Fizzy soda for blood.

Another technique to consider would be a type of simple upgraded death beam.
The death beam's strength lies in it's energy concentration, where other attacks like full power energy wave center around massive releases of energy, the death beam focuses all that power down to a fine point, like a bullet. That gives it immense piercing power.
If you could pour more and more power into the death beam, like say all the power you'd normally put behind a final flash, nothing in this universe would be able to block it, and while the wound size would be small, the damage would be instantaneous and quite severe. It would probably have far more piercing power than the piercing fist or even the dragon fist. Of course though, the more energy you try to condense, the harder it is to control, so the beam may get larger and larger in diameter instead, if you can't control it. That may actually be useful in certain situations, though.

>>2192601
This, but i want to reach achieve SS4 before anything else.
We need more gainz, brah
>>
>>2192617
If we somehow managed to use the dragonballs to become part demon, would it be a form we could hold on our own?

However unlikely?
>>
>>2192641
>>2192563
Fuck that. Think up PHYSICAL techniques. We have enough energy shit as it is.
>>
>>2192563

Based on >>2190032
>Everyone else’s combined strength seems to be faring better, hitting the shield in several places seemingly more effective, wearing that ship’s shield down the same time yours and Meloka’s attack does, your Couple Final Flash punching straight through the armored hull as the shield fails, blasting out the top as well.

If we're gonna keep shooting down Covenant ships in the near future, it seems their shields have a harder time holding against multiple blasts than a single strong blast. Maybe we can find a way to get a variant of Final Flash that can split into multiple beams? Or work on strengthening Scatter Beam, I don't know what would work better.
>>
>>2192617
Because Blue requires a super calm mind, and the primal rush of 4 would make that impossible
>>
>>2192641
Another useful technique would be a variant of the barrier that works against physical blows rather than ki-based.

One that works on both may sound tempting, but remember that there's always a drawback. It'll either be less effective or require more energy. Specialization exists for a reason.

If you create a barrier that works against physical blows, a good technique to develop from that point would be a skintight "suit" barrier that moves as we do, allowing us to deflect blades and soften blows while we fight. That would require a lot of training though, until it became pure muscle memory.

>>2192654
The only problem is that all techniques are based around energy.
Even becoming physically stronger typically means having more energy.
That was essentially how the kaioken worked, by forcing more energy through your muscles than it could really handle.

It is possible to create lots of highly physical or even pure melee attacks like the piercing fist, but they require energy to use in the end.
I'll start thinking.

>>2192661
A simple death beam barrage using all ten fingers instead of final flash may be more effective than anything, given it's piercing power.
>>
>>2191346
On par with them?

How would Cold react to knowing that there’s a race out there that has a super genius who can just fuckin’ build fighters as strong or stronger than his final form?
>>
So... Piccolo Diamo is definetly going to conquer earth right? In like 5 years or so. Not really relevent to us, but that could effect Buu, in relation to the amount of power he gets.
>>
>>2192687
Actully, no. Pilaf will, hilariously. He would have no reason to open the rice cooker if he got his wish
>>
so wait, what if we ,ade it so once or pericing fist pentrated, the enrgy detonated inside our target?
>>
>>2192654
>>2192617

Another technique that would be useful would be to create orbs of energy that float freely around our body, and fire energy-based techniques from those instead of our own body.

This would be useful because you could attack from any angle and any direction, and it's not possible to see where the beam is going to fire from before it does so, meaning you can take your enemies by surprise. You could be in melee combat with someone, but one of those orbs floats behind his back and blasts him with a death beam. Or say you're about to be struck from behind while in melee with that guy, but you can fire a beam from one of your orbs over your shoulder without having to open yourself up to attack. The drawback being a high energy control requirement, and the enemy can see and feel when your orbs are low on power, making it hard or impossible to bluff.

As for a physical boost, the kaioken was a logical technique to have created, by anyone really.
Simply trading more energy for more power at the cost of significant strain on your body.
It's like a bootleg super saiyan form. If you could figure out a way to keep it from straining your body so much without perfect ki control (blue) it would be usable in super saiyan form.

The technique essentially works by forcing more energy through your body than it can handle... your body acts as the conduit... If you could somehow expel the energy from your body rapidly enough, it wouldn't have time to build up and cause damage.
You'd need some way to store the energy outside of your body as well.
Could you do that? Charge up an attack, hold it outside of your body and draw energy from it like a battery to fire other attacks?
>>
>>2192641
The trap sphere is insane, probably not till much later down the line.
As far as the Death Beam goes, you did something quite similar this thread.
>>2192647
Becoming a demon via wish may give you the ability to attain that form on your own, but doing that may have severe drawbacks.
>>2192654
I was always a fan of OG Dragonball Goku’s later-named Meteor Combination attack.
>>2192661
You mean like some sort of twinned, or Double Energy Waves?
Scatter Beam has another upgrade that could be quite fun(pic related)
>>2192665
I didn’t mean at the same time.
>>2192672
Physical barriers could be fun.

A full barrier would be extremely ki-expensive, plus take longer to activate.

You’ve actually had the opportunity to learn something somewhat similar long in the past, back in the days when Karn’d develop new moves alone in his pod.
>>2192681
He’d be terrified, but then try and buy off that genuis to work for him.
>>2192687
Demon King Piccolo just might never get released in this timeline.
>>2192724
But to succeed and get his wish, Pilaf would have to somehow get both Roshi’s and Gohan’s dragonballs.
>>2192744
Clever
>>
>>2192753
Gohan was old as fuck, he would have died in a few years. Roshi is a tough one, but Bulm a would have nabbed it from him in all likelihood, even without Goku
>>
>>2192753

i mean, we have al lthat energy to punch though an beam attack/our enemy, why let it go to waste just detonate it inside them for even more damage. and if we could make it a DELAYED detonation...

"your already dead"
>>
>>2192750
I think i might have answered my own question.
The technique for creating free-floating energy balls from which you can launch attacks.

What if instead of generating small orbs, you generated one huge orb with a hollow center in which you are situated?
That way you can expel energy constantly from your body in all direction, allowing for a high discharge rate (think super explosive wave) while protecting yourself and being able to launch attacks in any direction at any time.

To overcome it, you would have to generate even more energy than karn had stored up, in order to obliterate the sphere.
Or pierce through it with something like a death beam.

However, the hollow center containing karn doesn't have to be literally in the center, it could be moving around anywhere inside the sphere, meaning that someone on the outside wouldn't know where karn was inside it, making it unlikely if not impossible to hit him, especially if the sphere was loosely compacted, giving it a high volume.

The only serious drawbacks would of course be the obvious stamina drain and the fact that karn's probably going to be stationary (only moving around inside the sphere, not moving the sphere itself) during this.
Since the orb will be stationary, the enemy can move father away, making it harder to hit them.
However, that could potentially be overcome with fast-moving beam attacks like death beam, or with tracking techniques like kienzan.
>>
>>2192783

as much as thats cool, we need more physical tecniqes
>>
>>2192807
We just need to master the Su ma and we should be fine with physical techniques.
>>
>>2192750
You mean the Spirit Bits? The control needed for those are insane.
Yes and no, Kaio-Ken is a special technique.
>>2192764
Gohan still has a few decades left in him. And maybe. But would Bulma have survived the great and terrible Oolong?
>>2192775
Fighting starships is quite different from fighting people. New techniques built for large, heavily armored and slow-moving targets could be useful.
>>2192783
That would cost an insane amount of power to create then maintain, and would drain your energy before you could really do anything. Even Final Form King Cold would be drained completely in under a minute.
>>2192807
>>2192820
I’m a fan of combination attacks, throw out some ideas.
>>
>>2192807
Alright, here's a "physical" technique.

Ki blades.
Ki blades out of your elbows, ki blades our of your knees, out of your hands and feet, out of your spine, neck, sides and even out of the top of your head.
And then you use energy blasts from either palm like rocket engines to spin yourself at high speed, turning your body into a whirling blender of death.
Take it up one notch further, launch yourself at high speed by blasting energy from your feet (think goku's kamehameha back in DB, but a blast actually designed to propel you forwards, not just from the recoil) and turn yourself into a drill that can pierce the heavens.

>>2192845
What are spirit bits?
If that's something from dragonball, i haven't heard of it.

And yes, it would cost an insane amount of power.
It would be an all-or-nothing, last ditch technique, but goddamn would it be a sight to see.
>>
>>2192862
A technique used by the main character in Tuffle quest.
>>
>>2192862
You could also perform the blender technique with weaker versions of the sustained death beam we used on that ship. Fire them from points all over your body and turn yourself into a disco ball from hell.

>>2192870
I haven't read tuffle quest, should i?
>>
>>2192845
Well both Gohan and Roshi are massive pervs. And Bulma is hardly above using that to her advantage.

As for Oolong... Ya, I think so. May have lost the balls at first, but she would have gotten them back eventully imo
>>
>>2192872
In my opinion I think its the best drgon ball quest in this site. The bad thing its that it updates like once a month
>>
>>2192878
If you remember, bulma carried a pistol.
She would have defeated and possibly straight up killed oolong if it came down to a fight.
>>
>>2192753
>>2192641
I seem to have described trap sphere badly...it was intended to be more like the sealed light beam. Something to forcibly contain someone, either with the idea of neutralizing them for a while, or with the idea of forcing a barrier around them to protect them with (if it's a friendly target).
An offensive version already exists in DBZ, and Freeza himself knows it actually. Imprisonment Ball. He might be willing to show it to us sometime!
>>2192862
Physical techniques, huh?
How about expelling ki forcefully behind limbs to increase their speed. Like rocket movement. Just fucking punch someone at mach 10 while energy fucking jets your fist forward by being expelled backwards. Perhaps a bit energy inefficient, but there ARE some enemies out there who will be much weaker to physical than energy, no doubt.

Is Geri already on the path to making the obscenely strong Androids, or does a lack of Goku mean he’s never challenged enough to develop his research and tech to that level?
>>
>>2192892
>rocket punches
Hey, not a bad idea.

You could combine that with piercing fist to great effect.
If you scaled up the size of the energy cone on the piercing fist, you'd be getting into drill that pierces the heavens territory again.

That's one thing i never see, nobody ever talks about improving the basic flight technique, somehow putting more power behind it, improving maneuverability or something.
If you could put massive amounts of power directly into the flight technique, you'd move at insane speeds. Karn could get up to relativistic speeds in SSJ2 if he expended all of his energy.
>>
Hey, I'm currently on Part 5 and have a question about the Greys. Do they look like... similar to Jiren (typical Ayys) or just Grey skinned humans?
>>
>>2192910
In all honesty, our best bet for increasing physical abilities is to learn Telekinesis from Yoda. You remember all the bullshit instant-turn nonsense that Kami pulled off while he was in a normal-ass human body? That was thanks to telekinesis. We'd be able to use it to augment not only how fuckin effective our Su Ma is, but put a lot more oomph into our strikes. Speed and power could both be enhanced.
>>
But will anons actually vote for these moves cause the majority just seem interested in just having higher numbers.
>>
>>2192915
They look like ayys
>>
>>2192923

>>2192893

More stuff we could work on:
Extremely brief, extremely quick transformation flickers. Used to consolidate energy much more efficiently, even in canon. Could be used to flicker from base super saiyan to ascended super saiyan, or possibly from base to ultra if you wanted to hulk punch people more often I guess.

Homing/bending death-beam. Homing a scatter shot is probably beyond us right now, but a single death beam should be manageable. That one anon who really likes DC comics should like this idea. Pic related.

An attack that overloads nerves, while unconventional, could also be good. For inflicting pain, and for paralyzing someone with convulsions. Electricity would be the natural go-to for this, though a more esoteric means of assaulting the nervous system with ki isn't out of the question, especially with not-yoda present.

For that matter, disrupting the enemy's ki in some way could also be good. Ki is the source of a fuckin ton of power for most opponents.

Telekinesis should definitely be a priority it has way too many uses to not be a part of our arsenal. I also think we should pick up some more physical techniques upgrading our energy blade like the zweihander one of our friends has or with enough practice freely manipulating it like Black could, hell Vegitos spirit sword is pretty sweet too. Maybe some burst speed attacks like mach punch and mach kick from xenoverse, I think Burter uses them. It'd be a good idea to train with the Ginyus to steal some of their physical attacks.

>What's that?

Long story short, it's a very popular Japanese shoot-em-up, but instead of the typical theme of space ships, aliens and neo-retro music, it's cute overpowered girls and amazing traditional rock/piano music. It was literally the biggest thing in the jap communities and has had over a dozen of its own cons.
You may recognize it as the source of that old Ronald McDonald meme?

Anyways, why I think it would fit well when we hit much higher power levels and achieve god ki, is, well, the cast is extremely diverse and powerful (Suika, one of the mid-high tier characters could almost definitely roflstomp SS Vegito), each character has some sort of ability, from basic things like commanding bugs and creating darkness, through time stopping and weather manipulation, up to extreme reality warping. The cast consists of some powerful humans and a TON of monsters (Youkai) taking human shape. The lore is very interesting and definitely on par with modern comics. DC, which was said to be present in this quest in the future, and Touhou get along surprisingly well because of some similarities. Touhou has that great sense of adventure and eastern mythos and mysteries, where Dragon Ball also finds its roots.

Here's some more basic game info:

Alright, got to the part where Meloka gets FSS. And honestly... I feel like it was a little too easy. You almost died and presumably saw your mate die in front of you to achieve it. For her, all it took as seeing you take a big hit.

I know Vegeta gets it eventully, but he's been in far more stressful moments then that, and her power level is far lower then his. Though I suppose with the whole S-Cells thing, it makes sence. She likely has a more loving, pure heart then Vegeta at that point, so it was easier for her.

While that is true, I would again mention Gohan, who, as a child, is defined by his rage boosts.

As a 3 year old (yes three, but they later revised it to 4 when they published the volume), his power went from 2 to well over 1000. And yet he never went SS against Freiza when Krillin died or Piccolo got fucked?

I'm not saying your explicitly wrong or the quest is bad with the lower power, Bardock did it with his (admittedly non cannon) movie. But still, it kinda feels like it devalues the form a tad

>or is she actually scarier?
Also yes. She’s much less insecure about her place with you, but is that much more determined to be there for you. She knows that no matter what she says, she can’t stop you from pushing yourself to the breaking point. But she does her best to pace herself in battle, saving strength to get you out when you either run out of steam or get injured.
>>2195600

Becoming Friezas equal
>>
>>2196480
Maybe with Krillian's death, but go back and watch Gohans reaction to Krillin getting fucked by Second Form Freiza. It was enough rage to put him on par with Freeza for like 30 seconds. He may have been afraid at points, but during that, it was all rage. That means his power was at least 1 million for a bit. Plus he did the same against 3rd form too iirc. Combine that with his purer heart and it's strange he didn't achieve the legend right then and there, compared to Karn with his weaker then Saiyan Saga Vegeta PL

Of course, it was a fucking awsome moment (both FSS and true SS), so I don't mind it being in the quest at all. Was just a little weird to me

I personally think Gohan was too held back by his own conflicting emotions and personalities. Goku was always a one-track mind, he wanted to get stronger. He didn’t really have anger most of the time, even in life-or-death struggles. That only ever turned off twice for him, once with Tamborine and then again with Freeza, both where Krillin died. Gohan however was extremely split-personality for most of the show, either a meek, mild-mannered boy or raging psychopath when angry.
>>2196646
>I would like to know more about Karn's parents, and ancestors, though...
He didn’t know his father, as most Saiyans of that time. Rumors are going around now, with Vegeta a Super Saiyan as well, that Karn, Meloka, and Vegeta are somehow closely related. As for his mother, she actually died early on in the Saiyan-Tuffle War. Karn had his revenge for that. Might do that as its own write up eventually. Or maybe revisit that time in first-person, who knows?
>>2196652

I cannot blame you anon, too many QMs disappear never to be seen again. I’ll not just abandon this quest(short of me dying of course). I enjoy running and even planning it too much. But this weekend’s no good, weather is going to heat up and can’t let pic related thaw out. And thank you, glad you enjoy. My QM philosophy is to make my quest one I’d personally want to read and participate in.
>>2198183

I approve this idea wholeheartedly.

I was curious where that one would’ve ended up in another 10-20 threads.

And I think we have episode 28’s epilogue chosen as well. I’ll say this, Trunks has a very long bad day. It doesn’t end with his fight with Karn.
>>
>>2203212
How can Trunks stop jobbing, if at all?

>>2203263
He wouldn’t ask you. And he CERTAINLY won’t ask his father.
>TFS Vegeta
Yeah no. If Trunks was in a bad place before, that Vegeta would crush him.
>>
>>2203294
To be fair, we would probably just ship his ass to Yoda for a bit, then take him on a road trip(relatively speaking).
>>
>>2203141
>karn has a throbbing adrenaline boner the entire fight
>it poked him in the stomach when karn grabbed him by the face and was about to execute him
>>
>>2203312
If Karn somehow took on the responsibility to train Trunks, it would probably be similar to how he trained Vegeta. With an extra helping of teaching the boy to defend his own people and getting him some Saiyan pride.
>>2203403
It really wasn’t a good day for Trunks. Let’s say you were Trunks. A rampaging Demon-posessed nude Saiyan stopped you from doing your job, grabbed you by the face and slammed you through a spaceship, nearly stabbed you to death several times, was still weaker than you yet managed to dominate you in a fight, then after you lose said fight proceeds to hit you mentally and emotionally right where it hurts, then your boss shows up and starts talking shit about you, then takes you away. Not a good start to a day.
>>
>>2204231
Karn smash indeed.
Karn smash on multiple levels
Trunks is such a fucking beta
>>
>>2204231
I hope that trunks knows we're probably going to choke the shit out of him when we see him next. You know, because he TRIED TO STOP US from being THREE HOURS LATE to saving the planet that not only a large portion of saiyans were on, but our own progeny as well.
If he had succeeded in delaying us, terrible things could have happened to our people and our family, after all.
That boy's getting fuckin' throttled next time.
>>
>>2204273
Er, he tried to stop us from NOT being three hours late. That's what I meant to say.
>>
>>2204273
This DESU.
Motherfucker almost cost the lives of god only knows how many saiyans, maybe our son and daughter too.

At the very least, next time he shows up i want to punch him in the fucking mouth before explaining to him why he's such a piece of shit, since he doesn't seem to get it.
>>
>>2204245
Karn does NOT play well with others when it comes to Meloka’s safety.
>spoiler
Indeed. I’ve tried to represent Trunks as accurately as possible.
>>2204273
>>2204279
I knew what you meant. He’s actually rethinking quite a bit of his life after that fight.
>>2204290
An appropriate course of action from Karn’s perspective. Trunks’ focus was on the timelines, not on lives. And he didn’t even try to avoid and get past you to get at Towa, his overconfidence leading to that beating he took. He now knows somewhat how Vegeta felt after Perfect Cell.
>>
>>2204317
I'm interested in what's gonna happen with that jiralhe or whatever it was called, the dude with the gravity hammer that we fought, honorably.
He survived that encounter, and seems to be more than happy to work with us now.

Would be neat if he ended up showing up later.
>>
>>2204365
I kinda want to add him to the team and train him now because imagine if Jiralhanae have some sort of Super form. Golden Brutes would be fucking badass.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 27 Epilogue-

You are King Cold, one of the last of your kind, and father to Freeza and Cooler. Rarely ever found outside of your fortress planet, you are currently flying amongst the stars for an important meeting. Your father’s master is alive! After a tearful reunion, you’d set about preparing for your departure, droids manning your usual station from a direct link via your scouter. After much preparation, you were finally ready. For the first time in over a century now, you left the safety and security of your fortress.

Which brings you to the here and now, floating above the planet now known as New Salda. On the brink of reuniting with your father’s master, you find yourself hesitating. But why?

What if he doesn’t accept you?

For the first time in uncountable years, you feel doubt. What if he doesn’t approve of what you’ve done? What you’ve had to become over the centuries? You cannot lie to yourself and say that you’ve followed the ideals of the Order, their principles abandoned by you long, long ago. What if he’s disappointed in how you’ve turned out? What if he turns you away, what if-

“Going to leave, are you?” the wizened old master’s voice suddenly appears in your head. “Come down and see me first, you should.”
“Well, its too late to back down now.” you think to yourself, sighing out and floating down to the planet.

>>
>>2213884
>>2213882
Well that was some timing.
>>
>>2213882
The old master directs you via telepathy, leading you down to a small island a relatively short distance from the mainland. As you come down into sight of the island, you’re unprepared for the quaintness, the plainness of it all, especially compared to the temple of your memories. A lone tower, sandy beach, and wait what’s that?

“HIIIIIIIII!!” a small projectile screams, rocketing towards you, and you act without thinking, lifting your finger and firing a Death Beam to destroy it.
“NO!!” the old master shouts, grabbing what you now see is a small screaming Saiyan child with telekinesis and moving it from the path of your attack, catching your beam in his other hand and changes the energy of your attack as it hits him. It is reduced from the violent pink to a soft, gentle blue glow in his hand, closing his hand as the power disperses.

“Faded not, your reflexes have.” the master sighs out, the now-free child flying over to you curiously. “Good to see you, it is.”
“The honor is mine.” you reply, kneeling before your elder and doing your best to ignore the small child floating circles around you. “It is good to see you alive and well master.”
“Rise, Ice.” the old master sighs out, waving a hand towards you. “Long gone, the Order is. Its formalities, we need not keep.”
“As you wish.” you reply, rising to your feet. The young Saiyan, laughing, flies up and lands sitting on top of your head, grabbing onto your horns. You feel your eye twitch, but instead of freezing the child solid with a burst of cold energy you instead ask, “So who is this child to you?”

“That girl, Chaya, from those Super Saiyans she was born.” he says, floating over to sit on a weather-worn rock while you pluck the child from your head, staring and frowning at it curiously. She just laughs and smiles at you, wrapping her tail around your forearm.

“An innocent soul, that one is yet.” he continues, smiling a bit sadly at seeing her with you. “Like the rest of her kind, she is not. Yet. Saddens me, it does, to know what she may one day become. Much like you, King Cold. That innocent boy, you are no longer.”

Takahashi is both a blessing and a curse for episodes. Because he only personally can handle about a quarter of an episode, it creates a massive devide in art quality. His art is so far beyond all but maybe one other animation supervisor that you can see the discrepancy.

He does to corrections since he is in charge of the episode, but nothing looks nearly as good as what he does himself.

Also, he cannot do every episode on that scehdual. He had about 7 weeks to do this one, of which he onky used 5. That timeframe is actully really impressive, and most lower quality animation supervisors usually take a fair deal longer.

Another good thing about the episode was the storyboard. Scenes flowed together really well. I forget who did the storyboard for the episode though. Some noobie I think

The sudden change in the conversation catches you off-guard, you’re certain now that he’s peered into your mind and seen at least some of what you’ve done in the past.

“Condone your actions, I cannot.” he says resolutely, then after a moment sighing out and slumping, the young Saiyan girl rushing to him curiously. “But without fault, I am not. To blame for your fall, I am as wel-“
“Don’t blame yourself fo-” you say, taking a step forward, yet he merely holds a hand up, you stopping to let him finish.
“A promise to your father, I made.” he says, even the now two Saiyan children sit listening to the Guardian of New Salda. “Watch over you, I’d sworn I would. The ways of the Order, I was to teach you. But failed him, I did. Abandoned my search I had. In my shame, into exile I went.”

You stare on, unable to speak. You know something big is coming, something important.

“Yet here before me, you stand.” he continues, sounding both relieved and hopeful. “Ice Cold, son of Glacius Cold, study under me, you will?”

You feel the weight of his question heavy on your shoulders. You remember a time long ago, wanting nothing more as a boy than to be like your father. Then your world was destroyed, the knighthood then your own homeworld both obliterated, leaving you alone in the universe. And everything you’ve done since that day, every rule of the order you’d disregarded, now weighing heavily on your soul. You look to him, the hope he’s placing in you. Then to the children looking at you as well with wide-eyed curiosity. You close your eyes and bow your head, overcome with guilt.

“I-I’m sorry.” you sigh out, anguish in your voice as you drop to a knee, head bowed. “I cannot.”
You can’t bear to look at him, not like this. You stay where you are, kneeling in shame, when suddenly-

Thwack

The shock of feeling his walking stick hitting you on the back of your head catches you off-guard, jumping to your feet in shock.

“Wha-?” you start in confusion, the old master glaring at you.
“Your past, behind you, that is.” he says sternly, tapping his stick on the ground for emphasis, the fire behind his eyes paralyzing you. “More important, the future is. Shape your future, the past need not. No longer, this dark path you must travel.”

You can say nothing back, just bowing your head in shame at the old master.

“I’m sorry.” you finally say, not looking at him, lifting yourself back up into the sky, blasting back off toward your planet fortress. But you don’t make it far. Before you even leave the atmosphere, you stop.
“Is that really how this ends?” you think to yourself, floating on the edge between atmosphere and open space. You can’t decide whether to take the chance, trust in him as your father had. Or trust in yourself, which has kept you alive all these years. What will you do?

-Three months later-

“It is rather peaceful here.” you think to your master, you sitting to his right as you both watch the two young Saiyans and an older, battle-scarred Saiyan by the name of Tatsu eat the food he’d brought over for them. “I can see why you chose this place.”
“Peaceful, it i-“ your master starts, suddenly stopping mid-sentence.
“Master?” you ask out loud, the look on his face concerning. “What’s wrong?”
“Traveled instantly, Karn did.” he replies, not hiding his shock. “Hours away, he was, yet here he is.”
“Should we find out why?” you ask telepathically. He simply nods, you keeping your mind joined with his to see what’s going on.

Karn? How is this possible?” your master asks. “Moved instantly, you did.”
“Long story short, a friend gave us a ride.” he thinks back.
“You have useful friends, Super Saiyan.” you say.
“Wait who are you?” he asks, sounding confused.
“I’ve gone by many names and titles over the years.” you reply, standing and stretching, wanting to see this Super Saiyan for yourself. “But the one you may address me as is King Cold, the father of Freeza.”

He used to host a few, actually. Back before he helped Dreadzone become big in the wider universe.

He still enjoys watching (un)willing slaves fight for his amusement. Which is why he hasn’t put a stop to Vox’s media empire, and occasionally gives discounts to him for planets he wants to see warriors bleed on. Like planet Shaar.

Less spokesman and more like a shareholder. The Recoome vs Reactor exhibition fight sold really well, and was good optics both for the Ginyu Force(and by extension the PTO) and Dreadzone. And there were only 38 fatalities in the audience, record lows for such a highly-publicized match in Dreadzone, and merchandise sales went through the roof as well.
