Good to be back everyone, let's jump right in!

You shift your weight, slipping the revolver into the back of your trousers and pulling your shirt over it in one fluid motion. Though you believe you’d have been allowed to keep it had you told the Hauptmann, you’d rather keep it as a trump card given whatever situation arises.

Finishing your motion to move into a salute, you pull your now empty hand up to your chest and clench your fist over your breast.

“Hauptmann, I came into contact with Kopf Spinne further down the trench, at the fork towards the western battery and the officer barracks.”

The officer stares at you, the half smile still on his face as he steps up to you. Before you can react the stock of his rifle braces across your chest, locking you against the wooden trench wall. You struggle to breath as the weight of the older man keeps your chest from expanding.

“Doktor, come check this man’s head. Quickly please.”

The soldier you had previously chatted with approaches you quickly, reaching into the bag on his side to pull out a rather brutal looking pair of scissors. Your vision swims as he approaches, the lack oxygen vignetting your vision. You barely feel the cold metal dragging along your scalp, the dark of a forced sleep calling to you.

You inhale rapidly as the pressure leaves, falling into the mud and coughing rapidly. The voices of Dok and Hauptmann coming in through a tin filter.

You suck in air as best you can, squinting in pain as the acrid inhalations tear at your throat. You attempt to struggle to your feet, before noticing the hand in front of you. Grabbing it, you find yourself yanked to your feet by Siegfried who pats you on the shoulder.

“Can’t take a chance you know Jäger, not with Kopf Spinne. Last thing we need is your skull bursting and those things getting us in our sleep.” You turn towards the voice, staring at Hauptmann.

“Don’t worry, we’ll call in for a Barren unit to burn those fucks. Best we move though, for our sake now and your unit.” Hauptmann turns as he finishes his sentence, walking through the gathered Sturmtruppen before lifting himself out of the trench.

You straighten your uniform, pulling yourself over the rotted wood as you reach it, then turning to help lift Siegfried. As the sun shines through the shifting smoke of the early morning, you turn to stare back at the trench line that had tried to claim your life so many times. The fetid ponds that the Rot Worms had called from bubble and roil in the early morning, the sickening chemical reactions bursting into the air every now and again.

You turn to leave, before movement catches your eye. You wipe your eyes, staring at the figure standing in the open. A woman clad in a white dress, stained red with blood moves on the opposite of the trench from you. She steps as though walking down the aisles of old marriages, a bouquet of gore clutched in her hand. Each step shifts the black hair that hangs like disemboweled intestines, though it still hides the face you know sits beneath. She pauses, looking towards you mid step. As if some parody of an offering, she extends her arms forward as if to give you the pile of gore from a hundred yards away.

Through the falling loops of intestines and chunks of brain that drop into the trench and out of sight, you see the brief colors of what looks to be the tatters of a Sturmtruppen uniform. Her gift given, the creature slowly raises her head to the sky.

You blink, looking at the empty spot the thing had occupied. All that remains is mud, freshly disturbed with the footprints of the handmaiden of death.

You’ve been walking in a patrol line for some time, the hellish trenches far behind you. Ahead, some distance away is the road you had been ambushed at a day before, the blackened and still smoking wrecks of your vehicles sitting where they had been left. You’re trailing at the back of the line.

Un-slinging your rifle from your back, you pull it over your person to settle it over your chest. You yank back on the charging mechanism, a satisfying KA-CHUNK greeting your ears as the weapon is moved into battery. The comforting weight settles over your body as you reach behind you and pull out the revolver you had found.

The weapon begs to be fired, as does Nixie who whispers at you about “the pretty silver” from inside your pocket. As tempted as you are, you simply check the cylinder before placing it in its previous spot in the back of your trousers.

Ahead of you, the line has fanned out along the road. You do similarly, taking your rifle in your hands and pressing yourself down into the mud on the side of the road. To your left the men have all taken up similar positions in the watery ditch, weapons at the ready.

You look over the road, the bodies of your old unit littering it alongside the harpies you had managed to kill during the engagement. You can’t help but chuckle as you spot an arm lying amongst the corpses, nearly half the size of the harpy it lays next to. Movement catches your eye to the right, a figure against the roadwheel of the truck you had ridden in shifting slightly.

By the shape, you can see a large wing moving with the wind, the rest of whatever it is obscured from view. You glance to your left, looking to see if anyone else has reacted. No one shows any sign of having spotted the shape and you realize you may be the only one able to from your position. You glance to it again, once more watching the feathers ruffle with the wind.

You exhale slowly, sighting down your rifle and placing the peephole over the figure. As quiet as you can manage you try to pass the word down the line that you see movement. Siegfried passes it along, and soon enough Hauptmann has crawled to your position.

“Oh a straggler it looks like? You want the honors Jäger? We best not shoot it in case we give ourselves away.” As if to further illustrate his point the captain motions down to your shovel and then to his head.

You stare forward, still unsure of whether or not the the figure is even alive. From your left, Siegfried approaches you from a low crouch, the wicked bayonet attached to his forearm glinting in the light.

“If you’d rather not Jäger, I can do it for you. Take your pick”

You nod at the officer and Siegfried, pulling out your shovel.

“I can manage it, wouldn’t want another arm to be rotting out there.”

Siegfried grins at you, waving his bayonet arm. The wooden handle of the weapon feels comfortable, and you briefly think of how many things you’ve cleaved with this shovel. Had you not taken you aren’t sure how you would have made it out of the trenches. You set your rifle onto the ground, and quietly pull yourself from the ditch.

The only sound is the wind as you try your best to approach quietly. The mud beneath foot changes to a hard packed earth, scorched and stained from the previous engagement. Dried blood patterns the landscape, coating bloated bodies and the cracked and bent weapons they’d dropped. The shape that you spotted is out of your view, though you can hear the rustling noise even from the other side of the truck you sit on. You look down at the weapon in your hands, wondering what you’ll bury it in.

You approach the engine block of the truck, sliding along the jagged and deformed metal. The noise is louder now, rustling in the wind.

Finally back, sorry guys, QM ran into a Kopf Spinne nest outside the store. Updating!
>>
You breathe in once, before moving as fast as you can mange. It takes two steps for you to turn and spin, bringing the shovel down with your outstretched arm. The familiar woosh as it cuts through the air greets you again, only to end abruptly with a wet crunch. Droplets of something hit your face, and spatter the front of your stained uniform.

You look down at the young harpy girl whose face is now bisected by your shovel. In her lap, the head of another girl that looks strikingly similar to the one you just hit, her face tinted the blue embrace of death. The one you killed had her hand in the dead one’s hair, as if stroking it lovingly. The tears that shine on her face are hard to see, your shovel having impacted horizontally just under her eye-line and biting deep into the truck on the opposite side of her skull.

Siegfried sets his hand on your shoulder, towering over you with a wide grin. The rest of the unit carefully moves up from the ditch, clapping you on the shoulder as you pass by.

“Good kill Dietrich, fucking textbook.”

“Another American finds their final rest on our soil.”

They pass by, their compliments lingering with you as they leave, searching the corpses in the area.

“Grab their tags, any spare ammo you can carry, and whatever items of use you find. We’re back to the march in five.” Hauptmann’s voice rings out, ending as he climbs into the back of the truck.

You work your shovel back and forth, the sound of metal grinding against bone filling your ears. With a wet crunch you finally yank it out, bringing the top half of the young harpy’s head with you, which drops to the ground with a wet plop.

You look to the trucks, curious if anything of use survived the explosions and ensuing battle. Moving to the one less destroyed than the other, you work your way into the back. Watching for the jagged metal and spurs of bone that litter the inside, you scrounge through what remains sit inside. Thousands of flies flit about like a cloud, oppressively clogging the inside.

You manage to gather a few rounds that hadn’t cooked off, along with a dagger that fits nicely in your boot. You look at the rear of the truck, the tattered canvas moving in the wind. You feel an overwhelming sense of dread as you look inside, realizing that even through the holes you can’t see inside. As if the very dark itself consumes your vision.

>Go through trouble of stealth killing harpy girl, get scared and throw grenade.
Might as well have tried to capture that harpy girl as a pow and see where that went, assuming we survived the risk.
>>
You pull your rifle close, dropping from the cab. Judging by the unit standing just ahead, most of the searching has been finished. You take a step towards them, before looking back for one last glance at the truck you had been thrown from. Looking it over, you see a flicker of light from within. The tell tale flicker of a candle dances in the void, beckoning you.

Steeling yourself, you turn back to the unit and step towards the others. Faintly you smell the scent of a freshly blown out candle. The wisp of smoke rolls around you, dragging around your shoulders and neck like the hands of a prostitute. The others nod at you, checking their equipment and uniform. With you having joined them, Hauptmann gestures forward, resuming the march through the wastes.

You struggle through the knee deep mud, realizing that the farther towards the front you go the deeper it is. In a few spots, you can’t even feel solid ground underneath. You wiggle forward, a pantomime of swimming as you try to keep yourself from being consumed by the earth. Siegfried has no such issues, unafraid as he plods forward at a measured pace by sheer strength.

Constant bombardment and gunfire had rendered Europe a blackened hellscape, a perpetual haze hanging in the air. What little sun broke through the constant dark was barely enough to tell the time of day. Stuck in a perpetual twilight, the landscape shifted in greys and blues. Each inhalation made you sick to your stomach, and felt as if it would cut through your throat like a bayonet.

For how long you walked you were unsure, the monotony and endless battlefield offering no discernable change no matter how far you went. Your legs long ago went numb from the fetid water that ate away at your warmth, leeching the heat down to your very bones. Little snippets of conversation carried on the wind between the constant pounding of artillery in the distance. From what Gerard and the briefing had said, the French and British attack stretched the length of the entire Eastern front. It was hard to imagine such numbers of artillery firing in a constant bombardment. Every now and again the earth below you shook with the firing of one of the great siege cannons, a white hot bursting of a new star shining on the horizon briefly as thousands of pounds of explosives churned the earth.

Despite the intelligence suggesting an army group or more of American paratroopers, your group had yet to run into them. The corpses of fellow germans were scattered intermittently throughout your journey, many of them having their limbs or heads severed from their body by the talons of winged death.

Cont.
>>
You glance up and to your left, watching as a procession of flickering lights mimicking your column walks in parallel along the horizon. Even from this distance you see the pure white of their dresses, and your heart begins to beat. You briefly wonder how long you’ll be followed, or rather how long you’ll last.

In the distance ahead of the column, small arms fire begins to find your ears. Each of the Sturmtruppen perk up at it, the renewed vigor of a man about to dance with death driving the cold and fatigue away. Your march turns to a jog as your unit moves towards the tracers the fly through the sky, dim shapes wheeling about in the air as they pirouette between the rounds.

“I think we found who called for help. Sturmtruppen, time to make our entrance. Rifles to the sky, grenades to the earth! Churn the earth and shatter their bones, and let their last sight be the visage of our masks!” Hauptmann’s voice rings out, a shout of acknowledgment answering him as the men pull their masks on. You follow suit, the lights dimming and the sound of battle becoming muffled.

The light jog turns into a run. The run turns into a sprint, and soon you and the men beside you are tearing forward towards hell.

“Jäger, Siegfried. Get down into those shell holes with our boys and take stock, they were your unit after all. The rest of us will take up fire positions then regroup when we can. Double time it now!”

The Strumtruppen break off from either side of you, leaving yourself and Siegfried to charge down the middle.

You hold your rifle close, ready but unused. Siegfried must be thinking the same as you, as he moves forward without firing. In the sky the harpies wheel and dive on the unit you can’t see. You watch as one of them returns to the sky carrying the torso of a man, that still fights weakly in the claws of his captor. Higher and higher the beast climbs before dropping the figure to the earth to be dashed against it.

You’re nearly there, moving from shell hole to shell hole amidst the chaos. Though you have a few choice shots you hold your fire, unsure of if it is just the harpies or if Americans are nearby to support them. With the last fifty yard stretch in front of you, you pull yourselves from the mud, sprinting forward once more.

You reach the crater’s edge, looking down into the slop that the other Germans are fighting in. The shell hole must be recent, smoke still wisping up from within the earth. Ahead of you, you recognize Seven struggling with a Harpy. Her talons are wrapped around his rifle, and the two spin to try to dislodge the other.

The pacing's nice but we're always on edge. I'm sure you planned it but we've not really had much chance to relax and even then most people are too shit scared to let their guard down specially since you flaunt killing off characters with certain decisions. It might just be because i've been playing a lot of high risk qsts where I actually care about the characters but i'm exhausted.

For something completely different now. Could we have gotten that bird pussy if we didn't swing?
>>
>>2220399
You could have made bird friend who was mourning her pal. She was a planned recurring character.
>>
>>2220401
I knew that was a possibility, bu I didn't want to risk permanent injury, then dealing with being friend with so many magic creatures and risk getting Inquisition by the gestapo, plus having to deal with potential drama of killing her friend or one of us killing her.

>>2220391
As for the pacing, you previously said that the entire front is like a nonstop "verdun on a daily basis", so I was expecting to gun down 50 mooks a minute every time we turn a corner or enter/exit a trench.

Alternatively, we could have had pixie try to approach the harpy girl, but we risk her, and exposing her existence to the others...

We don't know the others well enough yet, and them know enough about us to risk it.
>>
>>2220413
We're not at the front yet however, so right now we deal with the creatures behind the lines. It was a fair call as well, I like decisions like that that force you to stick your neck out if you want things. No reward without risk.

On track for 8:00PM EST tonight!

15 minutes to go and we're jumping back into it!

Around you, screeches of Harpies move from on side to another. The roar of Siegfried’s shotgun begins as shell after shell of six gauge slugs barrel towards their targets. For a moment, you can drown out the noise as you sight in on the pair in front of you, spinning and shoving in an attempt to get the upper hand. You see your chance as Seven yanks down with one side of the rifle and up with the other, driving the wooden stock into the teeth of the Harpy.

The creature pulls backward, choking on blood and chunks of teeth. A moment later, her right wing is vaporized in a cloud feathers and tendon as your first shot finds the mark. A look of horror crosses her face as she notices the wound, her mouth opening in a scream that is cut short by your second and third round impacting against her chest. The creature falls to the ground, choking weakly in the blood before Seven places the barrel of his rifle on the back of its skull and opens it with a wet pop.

Amongst the mud of the shell hole, similar struggles take place with varying outcomes. On the far side an unnamed man you had ridden with earlier is disemboweled by a vicious swipe of a talon. He finds his place amongst the gore and grime with the other bodies, the melee carrying on around him. To your right, Siegfried has a Harpy gored on the bayonet affixed to his missing arm. The creatures thrashing is cut short by the shotgun blast at point blank that removes most its upper torso. You raise your rifle to fire at an approaching Harpy, sighting in on the growing shape.

As you ready to squeeze the trigger, you find the rifle yanked from your hands hard enough to burn your palms. You’re pulled with it briefly, the loss of balance sending you tumbling into the bottom of the crater. The world spins around you, as you roll and bounce along the earth. When you finally stop tumbling you look around, trying to take stock and find your rifle. You spot it above you, clutched between the bloodied talons of a Harpy that looks larger than the others. Her uniform is battle-worn, a deep scar running from the left side of her chin and up over her scalp.

As the two of you make eye contact, the rifle that had been clutched in her talons is bent irreparably before being tossed to the ground. She smirks, beating her wings once before diving towards you.

You rise to your feet, adrenaline flooding your veins. Each moment the Harpy draws closer sends your mind screaming, urging your body to panic and move. You try to slow your breathing which comes in rapid short inhalations, forcing your will through your being. The Harpy moves like a bullet from a gun, her talons now outstretched to rip the head from your body. You throw yourself forward just before your story ends, feeling the razor sharp talons carve through your scalp, splitting the matted hair and skin underneath.

Face down in the mud, you struggle to stand again. Your eyes burn and swim red as the now open wounds on your head bleed over your face. Judging by the sounds behind you the Harpy had committed to her attack far too much, cursing mixing with the tell tale sounds of someone struggling to rise from the mud. You rise and turn, facing the creature that awkwardly tries to get to her feet.

The advantage now yours, you:

She killed our gun. It was inevitable.

You reach behind you, your right hand closing around the grip of the revolver you had acquired earlier. You immediately feel better with a weapon in hand, though the knowledge you only have six rounds tempers this somewhat. Your arm swings with ease, pulling the weapon from your lower back up and around to point forward.

The Harpy seemed to have given up her attempts at standing, rolling over onto her back with her talons up in a defensive posture as if she expected you to approach. However, at the sight of the revolver in hand her limbs fall, a mixed look of rage and disappointment in her eyes.

“Yew fukken lim-”

You cut her short, depressing the trigger of the revolver pointed at her head. The muzzle flash is nearly enough to blind you, and the sound is unlike any weapon you’ve ever heard. It goes off with a high pitched whine rather than a bang, the round leaving the barrel in a streak of silver light. It impacts the Harpy in the throat, cutting off any further words as the round shreds her neck and lower face with a pulpy explosion of gore and dirt. The enemy falls limp, her talons dropping and wings falling to the ground.

You turn, ready for another target and finding many.

I'm thinking we should link back up with our buddy, see if we can scavenge another rifle or something while he watches our back. A running harpy doesn't sound like a big threat, and even though our marksmanship is usually spot on, ' circling high above' sounds like a difficult shot to make with a revolver.

You turn from the now eviscerated Harpy that joins the other dead in the mud. The smell of ozone and gunpowder fills the air, the scent of blood dancing underneath them. You raise the revolver, pointing it at the nose of the circling creature. Once more the high pitched whine surrounds you, your hair standing on edge with a static that dances over you. You follow the streak of light, watching it tear past the Harpy and into the sky.

You’re tempted to fire another time, but by the time you ready to pull the trigger again the Harpy has peeled off. Around you, the melee has died out along with most occupants of the crater. Siegfried and Seven still stand, and one other Sturmtruppen who had went with Seven earlier. Their uniforms are tattered and dirtied, and Seven has lost his weapon just as you have. The stiletto in his hand drips a dark crimson to the earth, mixing into the sludge.

“Bayonet worked out nicely, but I still miss my arm.” Siegfried says this as he places the shotgun in the crook of his severed arm, fumbling at his belt for more shells. The length of his shotgun is covered in drying droplets of blood, chunks of gore stuck in the heat shield that covers the barrel.

Seven draws in deep ragged breaths, glancing back and forth between the two of you.

“Where is Dolph, was he too wounded to come back?”

How do you tell Seven about the other soldier that had gone with you?

“He’s dead.”

Seven looks at you quizzically, as if expecting some further explanation that never comes.

“Rot Worms got him, internal bleeding would have if they hadn’t. Poor bastard needed a surgeon, not field medicine.” Siegfried breaks the silence, stepping next to you.

Seven nods, looking around at the crater and the bodies.

“That brings us to four, out of twenty eight that left the base. Fantastic ratio.” Seven falls back, sitting down and rubbing his head with one hand.

You look around the crater as no further discussion seems to be forthcoming. In the mud, a battered EGewehr lays with the barrel to the sky. Judging by how much is covered and how dirtied it is, it’s likely that the previous owner had died some time ago in this area. You lift it up, a barely functional weapon better than none. The revolver is returned to the back of your belt, and you wonder just what it is.
You rub at the lenses of the gas mask over your face, clearing the mud that had partially obscured your vision. Out of the corner of your eye, Seven stands, reaching down and grabbing at the sidearm he had lost in the earlier fighting.

“Now that the unit is back we can’t dawdle. The four of us are a small enough group to go unnoticed out here, we could sow some real havoc amongst the Americans. The harpies had come from the south, and as such we’ll push that direction and try to find one of their officers. Everyone ready?” Seven doesn’t leave you much time, his voice almost waivering with an unreadable note.

Siegfried looks at you, his mask hanging in his hand to expose his face. The expression across it is clearly one of doubt, and by his eyes you can tell he’s asking what you want to do.

>>
>>2228300
No need to force anon, I should have been more clear that looking for Hauptmann was telling Seven to wait, and show him there were others.
>>
You shake your head at Seven, trying to keep a neutral expression on your face when talking to an officer. Seven looks at you, confused and almost offended.

“We met up with another unit, they pretty much saved our asses. Perhaps we should talk to the Captain first, see if our units can work together.”

Seven stares at you,a slight twitch beginning under his left eye.

“You have other ideas again eh Jäger? Of course it’s to be expected from a prodigy. General’s little pet. First you split my unit for those who by all rights were already dead, killing one in the process. Now you tell me you’re gonna do something else again? Sure let’s go talk to another officer. Just like the others at the barracks, think I’m not cut out for it huh?” The majority of his statement is a mutter, his voice cracking anytime he raises the volume.

You look at him for a moment, before turning and starting the trek up to the edge of the crater. The mud makes it a difficult task, you find yourself sliding back a bit with every few steps. Using the rifle as leverage you manage to make it up, the desolate wasteland greeting you again. To either side, you can pick out vague shapes of men set up in a line. One of them waves you down, and you make quick movements to get to their position.

The jog is quick, mostly by your own choice as you feel exposed on flat ground. Hauptmann waves you down, and you find yourself sharing the shoulder high crater he and Dok are in.

“Jäger. Welcome back, did you find your unit?” Hauptmann’s voice is muffled through his mask but no less chipper than it always is.

You nod, gesturing behind you to the others. Hauptmann seems pleased by the grunt he makes.

“Right, well we’d best be falling back to a more defensible position. Those trucks from earlier would make a good holding point if we can reach it. We’ve been seeing movement ahead, looks as though we’ll finally be seeing some American infantry. With their numbers they’d slaughter us if we tried to fight it out or charge.”

You look back behind you to Seven, who is cleaning his pistol.

“My orders stand, I thank you for your help but I’ll be taking my unit to the south on what I believe is an officer position.”

Hauptmann leans back into the mud, looking over the officer.

“You’re fucking nuts cadet. That’s the death of your unit along with yourself. Judging by that tone though you must think you’ve got something to prove. Your men are likely too respectful of your position, or fearful of it to say so but I am not. You go south, and you and your men die.”

Seven shrugs, placing the sidearm back in his belt.

“I think my unit can handle it sir, we’ve been through hell already and we’re small enough to not be noticed.”

Cont.
>>
Voices begin to carry on the wind in a language foreign to you. Dok perks up, looking at the Hauptmann.

“Americans are coming now, time to move sir.”
Hauptmann looks at Seven, then to you.

“Jäger you can’t seriously go with him, that’s certain death. Fuck going south we need to go back, get them on the off foot with a strong defense and then push hard.”

“Wherever we go I’m coming with you Dietrich. I owe you that much and more.” Siegfried says this as he moves up to stand next to you.

Where do your loyalties lie?

You look between the two of them, before stepping over to the side of Dok and Hauptmann. You turn to face Seven, expecting a bullet to be your greeting but instead are met with a defeated look.

“You didn’t take my side from the start Jäger. I’m not very surprised you didn’t now.”

You watch his hands more than his face, their lazy arc down to his belt and finally resting on the handle of his gun. You tense, bracing yourself for the inevitable only for the situation to settle itself. Apparently not willing to take chances, you watch as Siegfried steps forward and brings the butt of his shotgun down on Seven’s hand. The crack of wood on bone is audible, and Seven barely has a chance to react before Siegfried checks him with the weapon so hard the cadet is flung out of the crater.

“Think about shooting him again and I’ll finish this much more personally. Dietrich saved my damn life and twice at that, you were content to spend it. Get a move on with your suicide mission, go win yourself that glory you’re after.” Siegfried ends his sentence by spitting on the mud at Seven’s feet.

Seven stands, looking at the group of you in the crater and then to the remaining member of your unit. He hisses something in his ear, before storming off in a southerly direction. The boy looks down at you, then back to Seven. The expression on his face is one of pain, as though he is unsure of the correct answer. After a moment, he runs off after Seven without a word.

“Fucking cadets, always trying to prove something. The deaths at the truck weren’t his fault but the rest sure as fuck were. Enough men have died from stupidity. Speaking of, it’d be stupidity to remain here any longer so let us get moving.” His piece said, Hauptmann slaps a hand on your shoulder before climbing out of the crater.

You pull yourself from the crater with the help of Siegfried, his remaining hand offered to quicken your ascent. You glance behind you as the men pull themselves up from the line, forming a group just head. Siegfried moves forward, but you stop his advance by putting a hand on his shoulder. You try to hold back a laugh, realizing that you actually need to lift your arm up a reasonable distance to place it there. Siegfried looks back and then down at you.

“What’s up Jäger, gonna get all touchy feely on me now?”

You wrinkle your brow, any words you had losing their weight as you feel self conscious about thanking him. Siegfried laughs heartily, in face of the advancing doom.

“No need my friend, you’ve already done the same for me and more. I’d do it again to just to be lined up on the firing line next to you. Now are you sure we don’t need to drop you off at the next Breeding House to reaffirm your manhood?” Siegfried resumes laughing as he turns and jogs forward.

With nothing left to say, you move behind him and ready yourself for the approaching battle. The ground is familiar, as all places that have seen war are only differentiated by the ruins that dot them. The churned and shattered earth of field and grasslands blackened and stained are interchangeable with one another.

The back of your leg starts to burn, the exertion on your still fresh wounds tearing at your will to endure pain. Occasionally a round snaps by from an American trying to hit a lucky shot. You try your best to ignore the fact that shots are being fired at your back. Ahead of you, the trucks loom closer and closer.

You move forward, trying to put as much distance between yourself and the Americans to give yourself as much room to prepare as possible. The mud changes to hard packed dirt under you, and as you pass the front truck you see the leering skull of the Harpy you had killed earlier. Her face had been cleaned to the bone, as had any skin showing. The corpse flies and ravens would consume piles of bodies daily, and it was a race to get the meat wagons to any usable salvage before the scavengers.

You will yourself not to stop and stare at the ill omen, the crushed line of jagged bone where your shovel had impacted grinning in place of the teeth you had knocked out. You smell it again, the scent of burning candles. Each step towards the rear truck raises the hair on your neck, and you grip the battered rifle closer.

“Get in positions by the wheel wells, and get some men in the backs of those troop carriers. We’ll hold them here, and they’ll break upon Germany’s finest like waves of the North Sea!”

The men shout an affirmation to Hauptmann, pounding their boots rapidly until in position. Siegfried has taken up a place by the lead vehicle, the shotgun resting on the remains of his left arm. You move to the back, crouching low by the wheel well and trying to ignore the cold wind that drifts from behind the canvas cover.

Dok moves up next to you, looking around the surrounding area and then to you.

“Only a few minutes now Jäger. Can you go up inside with Penrod? You’re a damn fine shot and it’d be a shame to waste that potential.”

You swallow, and look from Doktor to the truck. You don’t think there would be any reasonable complaint that would dissuade the man from having you in there. You look to the dirty rifle in hand, snapping back the action a few times to clear any hard packed grit. It isn’t your rifle, but anything that can kill a man will have to do in a situation where that sort of thing is required. Around you, Sturmtruppen check their ammunition and kit as they look to the approaching Americans. Most if not all grip a grenade in one hand, holding it steady as they wait for the enemy to be in range.

You look up to the canvas flaps, each movement of them driving a spike of fear into your heart. You lift yourself with one hand, putting your boot on the foot rail next to you and hauling yourself forward. You sit there, on the precipice of the abyss, and faintly you hear the keening wail that calls to you.

You move forward, and rather than stepping into the truck find yourself in a stone floored atrium. Above you, a chandelier drips wax down to the floor below it, the wax spattering like blood. The room is dark, the stone pillars that support it covered in a creeping moss that shudder and dance in the shadows. You try to clutch your rifle close, only for it to vanish in your arms. Ahead of you, a thick wooden door is set into the wall.

“What in the name of the maker…” Nixie scans the room, her small form trying to keep close to you in the pocket.

A diminutive woman rises from the chair to your side, and you can’t help but think it hadn’t been there earlier. The lantern she carries in her hand creaks and sways just as she, as though one of the dead risen.

“Welcome Uhrmacher, to the Choir’s halls.”

Just lost my mojo. Didn't feel like any of my ideas went anywhere. I've got a few on the backburner but nothing jumped out at me. Around August I dreamed of this setting, and spent the subsequent months til December planning it out and fleshing out the world ideas.

Nothing wrong with taking ideas from previous successes. I liked that the guy was able to provide details and not get bogged down by them at the same time while satisfying questions, even the answer was sometimes vague.

You awaken to the pounding of your head. Each throb is like a hammer against your face, nails pushed through your eyes and into your very consciousness. Weakly, you open your eyes and immediately regret it. The light burns into your skull, forcing you to squint against the harsh sun. You blink weakly a few times, trying to chase away the grogginess that holds tight over your being. You roll over, a warm touch sliding over your side.

“Ya fuck pretty good for a city boy. Drinking? Not so much though.”

You look down first towards the sensation that moves slowly over your loins. A brown and grey speckled wing moves slowly beneath the covers. You trace the appendage to the source, finding it attached to the grizzled sergeant of the Harpy unit attached to yours. A long scar runs along her face, her hair spiked in every which way. You can’t help but look lower, and find yourself staring at her ample bosom. For a moment, the hangover vanishes as your blood rushes through your body.

“Down boy, we’re supposed to be dropping soon. Don’t wanna be killin germans with your seed still drippin.” Despite her protests, she smiles softly at you.

Her face moves along the side of yours, your hair standing on end with the warmth her breath brings.

“Tell you what though, fer every jerry you kill I’ll blow ya for each minute.”

You try to hide the grin that pulls at the sides of your mouth.

You stretch, trying to push the weariness away. Judging by the mess of the sheets and the smell of dried sweat and sex that permeates the room the two of you had gone for some time. You swing your legs over the bed, and quickly begin to regret the absence of the soft feathers stroking you. The floor beneath you is of cold wood, the breeze from under the door brisk.

You stand, kicking to aside the empty bottle and sending it clattering to the other side of the room. You can’t help but look behind you at the stretched form of the person you love, urging yourself to keep walking rather than turn back and take her. She grins, licking her rather sharp incisors before winking at you. The shower would need to be cold.

The water streams over you, the chill driving away whatever remnants of sleep gripped you. You rubbed at your eyes, trying to replay the nights activities. The image of golden green eyes staring up at you would forever be burned in your memory.

“No matter how cold you make it I think your body knows what it wants.”

The voice carries through the room, dripping over your ears like honey.

“Maybe I oughta give ya what ya want, huh lover boy?” You stare at the ceiling, trying your best to ignore the seering warmth that tightens around you, the rest of your body prickling under the cold water.

You wiped at the fogged mirror, breathing heavily. You stared hard at the image of a young man, glasses tied tight in the middle with tape and sitting crooked across your nose. The razor every morning did little to stop the five o clock shadow that was a permanent feature of your face. You blinked, and sighed as your eyelids once more drooped making you look permanently tired. Hard to believe the mousy private was balls deep in a war hero harpy every night. Your dad would shoot you for sleeping with a demi-human.

You pull on your fatigues, the dull olive still flecked with mud and stiff from the previous training drop. You’d planned to clean it last night, but the empty bottles and torn undershirt are a testament to how that had gone. A plate of eggs and bacon with a side of toast wait for you on the table, your personal chef standing at the stove cooking another plate. She wears nothing but her boots and pants, the suspenders pulled taught over her ample chest.

The food is delicious, reminding you of growing up on the farm. It feels odd, having lived all your life on a poultry farm and now considering marriage to a harpy.

“Word came down we have about three hours before the drop. Finish up there ya stud and let’s get a hustlin.”

You try to hurry, forcing your eyes to stop wandering to the tantalizing sight just across the room. To most she would be unapproachable, the scarred and vicious Harpy that’d already seen the european hell thrice. Her last deployment got her a promotion, near thirty new scars and a legend that followed everywhere. Taking out six tanks with only a belt of grenades took a hefty portion of both skill and sheer dumb luck.

You dragged the fork over your plate, trying your best to gather the last of the egg and crumbs. From the stories your winged love told in the low light of your bedroom between cigarettes, food was a rarity there, especially palatable kinds.

She stands near the sink, washing the dishes with her eyes closed as she sings a tune. Her body rocks side to side, tapping her left talon rhythmically against the the tile with a dull click. Her skin shines in the light, beads of sweat falling across the dull tan. You move slowly, rising out of your chair and silently thanking your old instructor for drilling stealth and scouting into everything you do. She carries on unaware, chirping softly between notes. By the time she notices your presence your sneak attack was successful. You pull the suspenders taughts over her shoulders, then let them drop to the side, reaching around to grope at her assets.

“Damnation, enemy sneak attack. I beg of you, please don’t soil this fair maiden.” The teasing note in her voice bleeds over, the irony of how quickly she could turn this on you a constant joke in the air.

You laugh in her ear, pressing her against the countertop playfully. She grips against it, the talons on the tips of her wings scoring deep marks in the ceramic.

“Careful now lover boy, I’ll have ya know I’m what you call a bird of prey.” She looks over her shoulder as she says this, a dangerous glint in her eyes.

You swallow, ready to take your chances. Just as you reach to her belt a loud knock begs for your attention at the front door.

“God...I...ahhhhggg FUCK!” Lilian stamps her talons against the ceramic, pulling her suspenders back on in a huff.

Pushing out from under you, the strength that ripples through her muscles reminds you that she really does let you do the things you do. It’s a warm thought, that such a terror of a woman would snuggle up against you when the storms came. The door is audibly thrown open, the crack against the drywall sounding even more expensive than the time she kicked the frame of the bedroom door off while drunkenly chasing after you.

“S-Sergent! Sorry to interrupt, but we’re on the half hour alert. Need to drop sooner on account of weather.” Judging by the waiver in the soldiers voice, he must be on the receiving end of a rather wicked glare.

“A phone call wouldn’t have dun it? Gotta come to my house and interrupt breakfast? Damnit all...alright.” She doesn’t give him a chance to respond, shutting the door and stomping back to the room.

“Fuckin luck of it all, can’t even squeeze in a quickie. Alright then John, grab your gear let’s get a move on to the airstrip.”

You sigh, disappointed but understanding. You willed yourself to calm, trying to ignore the dull ache that called for your attention and action towards Lilian. The both of you venture to your room, gathering the rest of your clothes and packs. You’re sad to see the woman of your dreams pull on a shirt, however tight it may be over her chest. Sighing, you do likewise before buttoning up your jacket and reaching for the pack at the foot of your bed.

The two of you walk side by side onto the airstrip, receiving hoots and hollers from the assembled men, the harpies to the side chirping loudly amongst cheers. If she was embarrassed it didn’t show much, other than the ghost of a blush that ran across her cheeks. The gathered planes are lined as far as the eye can see, enough quad-engined machines to take every man and harpy across Europe and into the fire.

Before long, the area is filled with the sound of engines spinning rapidly in a constant overlapping roar buffets your ears. The backwash tears at your clothes, dragging on your pack. You tighten the grip on your sling, stepping closer and closer to the door with each soldier that boards. Just to the side, Lilian is confirming the drop zone with the pilot, discussing specifics that are far above your pay grade. You pull yourself into the plane, crouching a bit in the doorway before shuffling down the aisle to your allotted spot on the bench.

The wait for takeoff is brutal, your nerves beginning to fray as you run over each possible situation in your head. It was likely that this attack would fail, torn apart in a hail of steel fragments and explosions. You tried not to imagine anything happening to Lilian, refusing to believe such a larger than life character could be taken out by something so random.

She sits next to you, looking at you with a grin that conveys her anticipation. You saw it everytime she trained, that the rush of the battlefield was where she belonged. You stuff your hand into your pocket, running your thumb over the ring that cost you so dearly.

Better to do it now than wish you had done it if you end up dead before you hit the ground. She’s a monolith in your mind, a constant force of nature that will never fade. You’re just the mousy private, but for her you want to be more. You’d protect her from countless storms, and brave any cold night just to see her smile. You aren’t quite sure when it went from a fling to so much more to you, but right now you knew how far it went. You tighten your grip on your rifle before setting it down on the floor of the plane.

“Nerves gettin to ya Johnny? Don’t be a pussy now.” Lilian tries to joke with you in front of the men, but you can tell by her face she’s worried something is wrong.

You tighten your grip on the ring, turning in one smooth motion and dropping to a knee. You’d thought of this day for a long time. You wanted a wife, a home, a place in the world with someone by your side and you found that one to have it with. Lilian looks at you with confusion first, before slowly raising her left wing to cover her mouth.

“Lilian...look I know the backend of a cargo plane isn’t the best or most romantic spot, but you and I don’t really fit in a princess and knight setting. You’re ripped, you’re loud mouthed, and you can drink anyone I know under the table. I love you for all those things and more, so how about we make this official.” The words tumble from your mouth, and you try not to think if your thoughts were well put.

Lilian’s face burns a deep crimson, before she flies forward off the bench into one hell of a hug. You clench your hand, horrified of dropping the ring. You can’t hear the cheers of the men over Lilian repeating yes in your ear, followed by the most depraved acts she plans to do to you for making her suffer such an embarrassment. Come fire and fury, hell even death, you’d fight to keep the woman you held safe.

So personal question just to test the waters but how many people are opposed to Jaeger fucking other women? I'm all for team monogamy but sexual relations are different in Germany and I was curious how many people are ok fucking other women. Maybe that Banshee.

>>2232987
Yeah but I'm just curious if people want to go pure Ivara or get some other people on the side. I doubt Jaeger would be one to use breeding houses that much if at all but sometimes you meet people and the anons want to fuck them
>>
>>2232990
I dont think he'd have a concept of monogamy. So it shouldnt be a thing to consider.
>>
>>2232990
I figure its our duty to pop out or father a few children even if we care about Ivara. Party due to the messed up setting we have were there is little to no concept of marriage anymore or family units.
>>
>>2232990
The war needs strong fighting kids. It's out duty too produce them
>>
>>2232995
>>2232994
Gah I figured. Duty wasn't on everybody's mind when they fucked Ivara though. In fact I'm sure most people knew what Ms. Katchen wanted and that going to the party with her would have fulfilled both our duties but they went with Ivara anyway so I was curious what people thought. Jaeger himself only really seemed to care about being the best soldier there is and not much else.
>>
>>2232976

He obviously cares for her and if given a choice between 2 girls to sleep with he'd probably go with Ivara.

But hes brought up with no concept of staying loyal to a single woman so until he chats up and actually talks with an american, hes not going to know about such an idea.
>>
>>2233001
Except when it came to Ivara you mean? He barely blinked leaving people to die in a machine gun nest but he always had a soft spot for her.
>>
>>2233004
Well I guess the question's answered though I wonder how actively Anons pursue women or casual fucks for that matter. Jaeger's always been so serious when it came to his training and being a soldier that I wonder if he'll actually have the time.

The old crone crooks a finger at you, the gnarled bone pulling her gaunt skin taught. You find being on the receiving end of her point to be more horrifying than staring down a gun. Your blood runs cold, icey needles pricking your veins as your hair stands on end. It’s then that you begin to feel it, the deep baseline of your pounding heart that carries the highs and lows of the wailing dirge that permeates the area. Every stone and wooden board vibrates with it, the deep song carrying through the very earth.

You can’t make out whether there are any words between the high wails, an orchestra of screams and lament carrying to a rhythm that grinds your consciousness down. Your vision dims, and you feel yourself compelled to answer the call of doom that tugs at the base of your skull.

“Jäger! Jäger listen to me! Hey! Listen!”

Nixie’s voice comes at you from far away, a soft sound that fades below the ever growing drum. Your eyes twitch with each beat, a hundred drum beats in a discordant melody singing out your annihilation. You step forward on the legs of a dead man, following the call that draws you further.

You:

[1] Feel the drums with each step

[2] Grind your teeth in agony as the wails pierce your soul

Hey anon, looking at 6:00PM EST!
>>
You clench your jaw, gritting down on your teeth and driving a radiating pain into your bones. Sharp spikes of song push back as if they’re aware of what you’re doing. You clench harder, fighting in your own way. Nixie’s voice is a distant call that you struggle to find, paired with the sharp crack of rifles. Rifles? You look about the room, your eyes swimming as the song pulls at your body.

You clench your teeth harder, the ache in your jaw spreading about your face. Around you, your vision swims and shakes. You struggle as you always have, against the hellish world that retained you, against the forces that seeked to destroy you. For a brief moment you see yourself in the back of the troop transport. The tattered and blood stained canvas is a welcome sight from the cold gothic hell you find yourself in.

“That’s it Jäger! Listen to me! Follow my voice!”

You look around, finally able to see the fairy in front of you. The sight of her is welcome, a beacon in the cold place you find yourself. You’re barely aware the crone is gone, the singing a far more rapid and high pitched number than before. Each voice seems to be directed at you, a piercing wail that bores through your being. Nixie tugs at you, unable to do much in her diminutive form.

You:

[1] Scream in pain as the music tears you apart

[2] Grit harder, struggle as you always have

[3] Follow the fairy

You look down at the small form of Nixie. She looks at you with pleading eyes, mouthing words you can’t hear. In another situation the way she yanked and tugged at the uniform of your sleeve would have been funny, but now you were perplexed. You fought against yourself to understand her. Part of you was compelled to see the choir, to hear the rapturous singing that broke your consciousness down piece by piece. You trusted Nixie however, whatever that counted for in the world you lived in.

Weakly, you stumbled in the direction she dragged you, allowing the small thing to pull you through the winding passages of yourself. The scenery shifts occasionally from a hewn rock to the flapping canvas of the truck. You catch glimpses of another soldier like yourself lying in a pool of gore between the benches you had sat on earlier, his cranium split open by an enemy round. He dances to the beat as well, lying in his own viscera. Nixie drags you to and fro, stringing along your consciousness.

“Nearly...there. Come on Jäger a bit farther. Keep fighting it!” She sounds weak, exhaling between each word as she struggles to save you.

Watching yourself moving about, it occurs just how odd it really is for a Fae that would so viciously end you any other time to help drag you from a hellish labyrinth intenton drawing you ever farther in. Nixie continues her struggle, giving one final tug that sends you falling to the floor of the truck. You blink a few times, the scent of burned candles and death still strong in the air. Looking down you find your hands sending ripples through the slowly spreading blood that surrounds the soldier you had seen.

You:

[1] Grab your gun and do what you were ordered

[2] Peek out the canvas

You try to move forwards, finding your rifle a few feet away from you against the far side of the truck bed. Instead however, you slump down into the lukewarm blood, your body feeling weak and heavy. It’s difficult to move anymore than breathe, and for some time you struggle against your own weakness. Finally, you being to make progress rather than flopping about like a dying fish. You close your gip on the rifle, pulling the rusted weapon close to you. Your hand slips over the action a few times, before you finally manage to yank back the action and let it fly forward.

You stand, propping your gun out of one of the many charred and tattered holes in the canvas. You see soldiers clad in green uniform far closer than you expected. At least seventy of them in a rough semi-circle are firing upon the position you and the Sturmtruppen occupy. They move forward with overwhelming firepower, pushing closer and closer as their rounds find more marks or keep heads down.

You slow your breathing, pulling the rifle into your shoulder and slowly squeezing the trigger. You feel the wall of the action, the gentle squeeze bringing you closer to ending another life. CRACK KA-CHUNK. The glasses on the soldiers face shatter as the round forces its way into his skull, gore and brain matter flowering out the back of his head as he falls forward into the mud. You let the recoil carry you up and back down and over to your next target. CRACK KA-CHUNK. CRACK KA-CHUNK.

You fall into the groove of death, sowing despair and turmoil with each round as red flowers bloom amongst their ranks. Before you can finish your fifth target a fusillade of fire flies towards your position. The canvas is riddled with automatic fire, and you’re left with no other choice but to throw yourself to the floor.
You land on your grenade bag, the hard weaponry driving the wind out of you.

You roll onto your back, grasping at the bag and tearing it open. Your hand closes around one of the grenades and you pull it out, yanking off the rubber top that cushions and conceals the soul trapped inside. You shake it twice, the blue light frantically spinning and pressing against the glass container.

You peek up during a break in the fire, letting loose a arcing throw that lands the grenade amongst a group of advancing men. Bright blue light and fire engulfs them, harsh screams of escaping souls and dying men filling the air.

A deep black smoke fills the area, rolling outward from the point of impact. You look down, taking stock of the situation. You have three grenades left, and a rough forty rounds for your rifle. Along with this, your trusty shovel is attached to your side. You feel the heavy weight of your revolver in the small of your back, though you don’t quite remember how many are left.

How do you proceed:

[1] Try to escape the truck

[2] Throw another grenade

[3] Resume your rifle fire

Alright, here we go! Resuming fire.
>>
You close the bag on your side, lifting your rifle back up to your shoulder and pressing your back against the wall of the truck. Shots fly over your head, the canvas tearing with each snap. You wait patiently for a break in the fire, tensing your tired muscles as you ready to to fire again. You crouch, bracing the rifle and sighting in on your next target.

You’ve killed near twenty of the americans, the grenade doing most of the work. Corpses scatter the area, the deep red seeping into the holes in the mud. Around you, the other Sturmtruppen are returning fire, and you join in with them. The American unit is scattered as rounds find their mark, and your rifle joins the crack of others.

CRACK KA-CHUNK. CRACK KA-CHUNK. CRACK KA-CHUNK. Each round finds a mark among the destined dead, dropping another into the mud. The returning fire is scattered, flying high above your head as the Sturmtruppen push their advantage.

Not our place to call for a charge, and it might not be a good idea anyway given that we were struggling just to pick our rifle up not that long ago.
>>
Vote is closed, we keep up the rifle fire!
>>
You continue firing, the action locking open as you expend the magazine. You force another en-bloc into the chamber, the other one dropping out the bottom of the rifle. You yank back on the mechanism, stripping a round and chambering it with a satisfying snap. The smell of spent gunpowder and blood fills the air, the rifle bucking against you with each pull of the trigger.

The Americans try to rally, gathering in one of the large shell holes on the other side of the road. Barrels peek over the mud, bright flashes of their own weapons answering yours. From inside the truck it's hard to pick out the other Sturmtruppen. You can make out the roar of Siegfried’s shotgun, and the chatter of automatics the other Sturmtruppen carried. Below you, you can hear Dok speaking to an injured man as he works to save a life. Underneath that all, the dim buzzing of the gathering corpse flies drones on in your ears.

The sharp sound of a whistle cuts through the noise, and with it the yells of the assembled Americans as they charge up and out of the shell hole towards your position. You can see the glint of knives and bayonets as they rush your position, some of them falling under the fire from your unit.

“Hold fast Sturmtruppen! Cut them down!”

Hauptmann’s voice rings out, his orders renewing the fire that your unit puts forward to the doomed men. A sizeable number manage to make it through the withering fire you and your comrades put forth, the ground that had been between you not giving enough time to kill them all.

You:

[1] Try to keep your position in the truck

Staying in the truck says nothing about firing into them, and there are probably so few of them left that the automatics we carry will wipe them out at such close range.

I really wish we had a chance to throw a grenade in the crater.

On that note anon you make a good point, I can't prepare for every eventuality and I'm not much one for railroading. As such if a write in gets enough votes I'll gladly write it! By all means discuss ideas and try to use them!
>>

Our chance to do that was back when we were deciding whether to continue shooting our rifle, throw a grenade, or escape the truck.

Back then they were still scattered.

The rifle locks open again, and you set it on the bench you’ve braced yourself on. Your canvas rig is tattered and stained but still holding strong. Reaching down to your right, you grab the handle of your shovel and rotate and lift it out. The sounds of the melee outside grow louder, yells and clashing metal ringing through the air as the gunfire halts.

You drop from the truck, landing ankle deep in the churned mud. To your left at the wheel well Dok is engaged in a fistfight with a grizzled American. They circle each other while trading blows, Dok trying to keep the man from approaching wounded Sturmtruppen lying against the wheel.

You ready to move forward when you hear a yell from behind you.

I'm curious about something and would like opinions guys. I shorten my posts during actions so you have more input instead of my usual writing, what do you think about shortening the voting time during such scenes in an effort to make it more "react fast"

You throw yourself sideways, sliding through the mud. You feel whoever had been behind trip over your outstretched legs. You look over your shoulder, a stained olive drab uniform lying over top of you. The two of you are a tangle of limbs as the American crawls atop you, his rifle lost in the fall.

The American grasps at your shovel, his hands wrapping around the handle and trying to pry it from your grasp. The two of you roll over and over, the mud embracing you. Stars fly over your eyes as you roll off the road and into a ditch, bouncing the side of your head on a rock. You arms go slack as the impact shakes you. The shovel flies from your grasp, as does the American who rolls a few feet farther from you.

You look around, blinking and trying to stand. The American soldier is also struggling with the dizziness, though he’s coming around faster than you. You spy a rock, a few feet away between you and the American.

You reach to your back, your hand gripping the wood of your revolver like it was meant for it. You curl your fingers around it, yanking up and around as you find the trigger. The weight is comforting as the man rushes you with your own shovel. The high pitched whine of the report fills your ears, and travels through your teeth.

The American’s advance slows as his arm is severed from his shoulder, dropping to the ground and twitching rhythmically. He looks at the stump, the color draining from his face as a dull black creeps through his veins. His skin peels, flaking and dropping like fallen petals.

“W-what...my sk...I…”

The American falls forward, slipping into the mud. You stand on shaky legs, grabbing the shovel from the mud and returning the revolver to the rear of your uniform. Around you, the sounds of melee fall quieter and quieter as the pitched battle ends.

Sorry guys but I don't think I can go as long as I wanted. I'm rather exhausted. I slept awful and have been going non stop all day. Finding it hard to write well. Next session will be Monday at 6:00PM EST. We'll likely be in a new thread as well. Next few sessions will have a lot less danger and constant action.

As always I'm around for questions and comments, though probably not very long tonight.

As an addendum, I forgot to state but wanted to in that post. My profuse apologies for things getting changed up so much this week. It's not a regular occurrence for sure and I really can't stand not being able to write as much.
