Seven years ago, the warrior race known as the Saiyans were annexed into Emperor Freeza's army. Since that day, the Saiyans have acted as the emperor's loyal soldiers, leading the charge onto hundreds of worlds and wiping out all who oppose Lord Freeza's rule. As mighty conquerors, destroying all who have stood against them, the Saiyans have made quite a reputation for themselves as some of Freeza's most powerful and loyal subjects.

The tales of the Super Saiyans have especially grown larger than life as of late. Two exceptional warriors, clad in glorious golden auras and leading charges against impossible odds: fighting legendary assassins, powerful demons, and entire armies by themselves, even facing Lord Freeza himself and surviving.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, currently Age 738. You the players control Karn, a Saiyan Berserker with a powerlevel of 171,470 and are a leader of your own attack squadron. Your current teammates are:

Leyas- Brawler, 69,314
Sarada- Brawler, 83,565

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Karn and the Saiyans in the Boran system repelled and crushed a retaliatory Covenant fleet and learning a bit of their different species. Once they’ve been crushed, Meloka gathers a team while you’re unconscious in the Healing Pod, flying headlong after the rest who went to New Salda in retaliation. With a little help your new team arrives just in time to take down their ships, you and Meloka face down a pair of hugely powerful beasts, then after an exhausting battle have come face-to-face with Freeza’s father himself, the terrifyingly powerful King Cold!

“Well done, Super Saiyans.” King Cold says, landing on the roof before you and Meloka. “Such power, speed, skill, and even grace. I must say, I am impressed.”
“Y-You’re....!” Meloka stammers out, the immensity of his aura at close range overwhelming.
“King Cold.” you say, trying to rise but failing, your body not yet caught up from the fight.
“Please, stay where you are.” he says, holding up a placating hand. “We’re all alone up here, no need for the formalities.”

Extending your senses you realize he’s indeed right, the fighting now taking place well beyond the city, the Oozaru rampaging into the giant forest towards the remains of the Covenant ships.

“S-So what brings you way out here?” Meloka stutters out, clearly awed by and afraid of King Cold’s power.
“I was curious as to what you Super Saiyans could do.” he says, smirking slightly. “But more importantly, it seems I am now in your debt, Karn. If it wasn’t for you, I would have never been reunited with my father’s master. And for that, I-“

At that moment, your senses pick up a faint power, coming up behind King Cold, but see nothing. What could it- Covenant assassin!

What do you do?
>”Behind you!” Try to warn King Cold
>”Look out!” Death Beam the assassin behind him
>”Behind you!” Telepathically, don’t give away you know the assassin’s there

You raise your hand towards King Cold, pink dot of enerfy glowing on your finger. Before he can say anything, you think to him,
“King Cold, assassin behind you.”
He doesn’t respond, simply raises an eyebrow and slowly nods, then vanishes.

“HAAA!” you shout, firing death where Freeza’s father stood a moment before. Instead your attack travels through the air, hitting the invisible assassin and piercing through it.

“But how?” it says, becoming visible and clutching its gut where your beam had pierced through. “There’s no way you could see me.”
“Beings such as we have no need of our sight.” Cold says, firing his ownbeams at the assassin. First through the right knee, then left elbow, then right wrist then left shin. The splitjaw assassin howls in pain with each shot, andleft unable to move on its own King Cold grabs it by the neck, then turns back to you and Meloka.
“Seems I have a willing volunteer to give me information.” he says, smirking cruelly. “Once you finish mopping up the rest of the trash, come find me. We have much to discuss.”

And with that Cold flies away, clutching the lamed assassin.

“Damn.” Meloka says, wide-eyed. “Glad I’m not that guy.”
“Hope for his sake he cooperates.” you reply, shivering a bit. “His day’s about to get a whole lot worse.”
“Just like the rest of them.” Meloka says, holding a hand down to you. You clasp forearms, Meloka helping haul you back to your feet. “So, what’s the plan?”

You close your eyes and focus on your senses, feeling the energies of the invaders and your fellow Saiyans, currently Oozaru, rampaging. The battle is mostly taking place in three main areas now:
Two smaller skirmishes where the Covenant are holding a linr are centered around where some of their troop transports and smaller ship’s wreckage vehicles landed. The third is centered around where half of the command ship crashed down, more of the enemy are focused there than anywhere. You can sense that Leyas and Sarada have joined in the battle at the flagship wreckage, Turles and Tunnip are each at a seperate skirmish.

Where first?

“We’ll need to split up to cover more ground.” you say, plucking the metallic shards of the destroyed Hunter cannon from your arms as you look around. “I’ll head over to that larger battle and hold the line there while you end the smaller fights, sending the reinforcements up to me.”

“Are you sure you’re ready?” Meloka asks you, looking worriedly up at you. You’re exhausted, burned, and taking a deep breath feel that that cannon may have broken a rib or two, but you’re still standing. And you have people to protect. So instead of answering Meloka you just grab her up and hug her tight, then pulling back just enough to kiss her.

“We’ve gotta save our people.” you say pulling away, your tone serious. “They’re not strong enough to win this, not without our help. We can’t let them die while we can still fight.”
She looks down for a few moments, and when she looks back up you see a fire in her eyes. She kisses you again, and with a “Be safe,” she takes off full-speed towards the closest fight. You lift up into the air as well, aiming yourself towards the smoking wreckage and take off. You pace yourself, using the airtime to recover a little more from your fights.

All too soon your flight is over, coming over a large clearing in the forest, smoking remains of the Covenant ship half-buried in the dirt. Oozaru have surrounded it from every side, but the Covenant are still holding their own. Several of the insect-like vehicles and dozens of smaller vehicles swarm over the surface of the wreckage, blasting at any Saiyan who comes too close. You see several Oozaru laying around, clearly killed in the no-man’s land of this uneasy stalemate. Seeing your people dead pisses you off!

What will you do?
>Super Energy Bomb, try and wipe them all out in one shot

“Not one of these bastards is leaving here alive.” you think to yourself, lifting your arm above your head and beginning to gather your power. “I’ll kill you all in one shot.”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=hLDtlBlSLxA

You remain high in the air, gathering more and more of your power together as you charge up your attack. You feel a slight tremble in your arm, a sign that you’re pushing your limits. But its done!

“TAKE THIIIS!!!” you shout, tossing the massive ball of ki at the Covenant. Your ball of death descends slowly, several Covenant firing at your attack to try and repel it. But their resistance is futile. Your orb keeps decending, you feel it crashing into the Covenant forces below. With an almighty boom your attack detonates, the blast blinding you and forcing you to shield your eyes, the explosion nearly knocking you out of the air. When you finally reorient yourself, panting in exhaustion, you see the gathered Saiyans leap into the smoke cloud, many determined to be the first one into the ship after those responsible. You remain in the air, slowly drifting down to the ground and catching your breath. Before you can recover, that voice booms out again.

“You filthy apes dare defy the will of the gods?! You will perish for your heresy!”
Several Oozaru below you have the right answer, roaring out and firing Mouth Blasts into the thinning smoke where the ship was. But then the Covenant go on the attack.

Swarming from the cloud comes hundreds of Covenant ground vehicles, ready to do battle. The small, quick vehicles and the tanks you’ve seen before, your attention on the ones you hadn’t seen yet. The Jiralhanae have a rather unique vehicle from what you’ve seen. With a massive pair of wheels and heavy armor on the front and the seat behind them, you can tell these are built for smashing through defenses and defenders alike.

You watch as several Oozaru go down, clutching their legs in pain from the assorted Covenant vehicle weapons, your fellow Saiyans blasting and smashing all they can reach.

What do you do?
>Fly down into the smoking wreck, find their leader
>Focus on the tanks, fly down and destroy them with your hands first
>Death Beams, destroy some of the vehicles with minimum effort from up high while recovering strength
>Scatter Beams, take out many of their vehicles as you can

You’re exhausted, but that doesn’t mean the battle will just stop to let you catch your breath. Your people are still in the thick of it, bleeding and dying. But you won’t do anyone any good if you’re too exhausted to help and get killed. As hard as it is, you remain where you are, catching your breath as the other Saiyans fight against the merciless invaders.

But just because you’re not down in the thick of it doesn’t mean you can sit idly by. While recovering you observe the battlefield carefully, looking for signs of mid-level commanders leading troops. After a few moments of observing their patterns, you’re able to identify those leading others, and take careful aim.
“Now!” you think to yourself, firing a Death Beam down. Your aim was true, your shot destroying the lead attack vehicle of a group aiming to finish off a downed Saiyan, the sudden explosion forcing the other Jiralhanae following to suddenly evade to either side, cutting off their attack run. You keep firing like this, identifying leaders and taking them out, causing a bit of chaos. The small, quick vehicles move just too fast and unpredictably for you to hit, but the Jiralhanae vehicles stand no chance. Several of the tanks notice what you’re doing and try to shoot you down, but their, admittedly dangerous, blasts are far to slow and coming from too far away to pose a threat. You drift in between the tank blasts, destroying tanks and Jiralhanae with well-timed attacks. The Oozaru around you fare decently, your attacks disturbing the Covenant’s attacks enough that your fellow Saiyans are able to do work, destroying Covenant vehicles by the score.

“Karn, Tunnip’s leading a group to you now.” Meloka thinks to you. “How’re you holding up?”
“We’ve got the line held.” you think back, a well-aimed Death Beam destroying another tank cannon. “We’ve got their commander surrounded.”
“When I find him I’mma tear his head off.” Meloka replies with a bit of a snarl, ending the communication. You begin looking for your next target when suddenly a powerful beam fires up from within the ship’s ruins, a last-second flinch saving your life. The beam misses your eye, taking a chunk out of your left ear and destroying your scouter, the broken chunks of the device falling to the planet below. You scan the ruins, the smoke still obscuring your vision and preventing you from seeing your attacker. However you see the next beam coming, easily able to dodge it completely. You’re nowhere close to recovered, but feel strong enough to leap back into the fray.

What will you do now?
>Same strategy, but keep an eye on the ship for that sniper
>Fly down and find that sniper
>Scatter Beam the ruined ship, you know the general area it fired from, maybe you’ll get lucky

You remain airborne, seeming to ignore the sniper and instead look for more vehicles to shoot. But you’re not that dull. Your senses are sharply focused on the smoking ship ruins, waiting for that sniper to take another shot. Two minutes go by agonizingly slow, you’re about to give up and fire your Death Beam instead at another tank when it happens. The moment you point your right hand down at the tanks again to fire, the sniper shoots. You manage to twist past the beam, pointing and firing back immediately.

You have no time to celebrate, another beam firing at you from a different part of the wreckage. You duck under that beam as well, firing back but you’re not certain if your shot even came close or not. Flying backwards a few feet you avoid two tank blasts, then dodge another beam fired from the ship wreckage remains. And then you hear it.

“ROOOOAAAAR!!!” several Oozaru roar as they dash into the clearing led by Tunnip, her wielding an Oozaru-sized Energy Blade in her right fist. The presence of reinforcements reinvigorates the Oozaru, several bellowing in response and redoubling their efforts.

“Just in time.” you think to Tunnip, not taking your eyes off of the wreckage.
“Meloka told me everything.” she replies, leading her fresher troops against the nearest group. “You focus on recovering. Or are you ready to go?”

Well, what will you do?
>Keep picking off the snipers from the air
>Rush down into the mass of tanks, destroy them quickly

“You, Leyas and Sarada should be able to handle things out here.” you think out to Tunnip. “There’s some snipers still alive in there, I’m taking them out.”
“Good hunti- FUCK!” she replies, one of the snipers shooting her through her left knee. “Kill these bastards!”

You waste no more time talking, instead speeding down towards the smoking wreckage. Twice more snipers fire at you, and both shots you dodge easily. You focus your senses as you fly, picking your target and gathering your ki into your right fist. The sniper you targeted panics, firing twice rapidly. You dodge both shots, rearing back your fist, and fire off a Piercing Fist with a mighty-

“HAAAAAAAA!!”

Your attack blasts through the ruined ship, you punching through the wall, the sniper, then the wall behind him as well. Turning back to inspect your handiwork, you see the force of your attack shredded the sniper, coating the room with his blood. His partner stares on, awestruck; the sight of the sudden carnage stunning him. You simply lift a hand and fire another Death Beam, piercing easily through the odd alien’s skull. Turning from the room, you focus your senses, searching for the others. You find them, a dozen in all spaced sporadically as well as several clusters of Grunts, and a few high powerlevels all together farther in. With your enemies found you begin your hunt.

They never stood a chance.

You make your way through the sideways halls, flying through as you make your way to each of the snipers. The first four didn’t ever know you were coming until it was too late, kicking in their doors and shooting them with Death Beams before they can even bring their rifles to bear. The next few are prepared, but your speed and reflexes keep you from being hit, dodging their shots and firing a single Death Beam at each. The last few, however, are prepared. When you kick the door in several snipers fire at you, forcing you to leap aside to avoid being filled with holes.Your back is to the wall, right by the doorway, with seven of the creatures in the room.

What will you do?
>Barrier up, walk in and get close then tear them apart

Sometimes rolls don't work out, anon. It's not the vote that's the problem. We had a tiny DC and failed it.
>>
>>2227203
We had a DC over 50 on /qst/ dice. For something that has "No true loyalty" to have a DC 65 on surrender is pretty damn high.

We would have been better off blasting them.
>>
>>2227209
65 is fairly low, anon. It's barely above 50. With best of 3, it's a DC that would usually be beaten easily.

Not on /qst/ dice. We're just lucky we're not using /tg/ dice anymore.

You decide to try and talk them down, having captives with inside intel could be useful. That doesn’t mean you go in defenseless, however. Taking a step back from the wall, you focus and with a shout, “Barrier,” your Barrier springs forth around you, then you walk through the doorway. They all try and shoot you again as you appear, but their shots are negated by the shield. They fire several times, then throw their rifles down and cower when they realize their weapons have no effect.

“It’s over.” you tell them, keeping the shield up as you stride confidently into the room. “Surrender, and I’ll spare your lives.”
“You, you’re serious?” one of them finally says, all of them now looking curiously up at you. “We could surrender now and just leave?”
“Certainly.” you reply, the barrier becoming slightly more difficult to hold onto. “Of course, I’d need something from you all. Surrender your weapons, and whatever information you have regarding the Covenant, and you can leave here alive. Or I can kill you all right now, your call.”

You stand before them, crossing your arms to hide the shaking in your right arm, while you wait for them to decide. But the decision is made for them.

“What are you waiting for fools?!” the voice returns shouting. “The ape offers nothing but lies, he wishes to capture you all and eat you alive! Attack him, attack him now!!”

Before they can respond, your instincts warn you of danger. you sense a faint ki behind you. Reacting quickly, you turn as you drop the shield, drawing your Energy Blade and swinging. Once again your blade clashes with another invisible one, revealing yet another sneaky splitjaw trying to stab you in the back.

“You guys really need a better trick.” you taunt it, blades locked as you push against each other. However, it doesn’t reply, instead you hear the creatures behind you:
“He’s open!”
“Get him!”
“That bounty’s mine!”

Well, so much for diplomacy. What now?

Surrounded, this isn’t good. And the splitjaw is starting to overpower you, you’re still too weakened. Looking back at the snipers, you see them raising their rifles at you, taking aim. Shit, you need to move, now! Raising your foot, you stomp down with your full force onto the ground, your foot smashing through the floor and causing you to fall.

“FIRE!” the creatures behind you shout, shooting as you fall down through the floor. Their shots miss you, instead filling the splitjaw full of holes as his strength forces you down through the hole you made.

“Gyuuuah!” it shouts out in pain, you laughing as you catch yourself midair in the next room down.
“Where’d he go?”
“Shit!”
“We got to get out of here!”

You hear them shouting amongst themselves, clearly worried. Time to put them out of their misery. Focusing your senses, you target the one furthest from the hole. Two quick slashes weaken the floor, then you reach up and force your hand through it, grabbing it by the ankle and pulling it down through the floor. Its scream of terror is cut off as you decapitate it.

“What the fuck?!”
“Shit shit shit!”
“Screw this I’m getting out of here!”

You can feel their terror, one running from the rest for the door. Your next target. Lifting your left hand, you fire a Death Beam up through the floor, piercing it through the chest. Instead of letting the rest feel helpless for any longer, you cut your way up through the floor behind them. Before they can fight back, you slice them to pieces, blade flashing through them and several of their weapons as well. Before you can leave the room, Meloka’s voice appears again in your head.

“Karn, we’re wrapped up over here.” she thinks to you. “Turles and the others are resting now, I’m headed over to you now, where are you?”
“I’m in the ship.” you think back, focusing your senses. “Snipers have been taken care of, there’s only a few left inside besides the leader and his guards.”
“You gonna wait for me, or try and take them all on by yourself?” Meloka asks.

Well?
>Go and engage them by yourself until Meloka arrives

“I’ll be waiting right here.” you tell Meloka, transforming down to your base form and sitting down on the blood-covered floor. “I need a break, burned too much energy today.”
“I’ll be right there.” she replies, cutting the connection. Meanwhile, you focus on yourself, focusing on meditating as the Guardian had taught you. You cross your legs, resting your arms on your knees, and lose yourself.

You immerse yourself in the ki flowing around you, the life energy of everyone moving throughout the air. The wild, untamable energies of the Oozaru Saiyans outside, the weaker ki of the remains of the Covenant forces, Meloka’s golden ki headed toward you, the energy of the Fleet Commander and his guards, the Guardian’s perfectly tranquil energy, and even King Cold’s immense, somehow chilling energy all flow through you. You remain like this for what seems forever, your awareness extending to cover the living beings of the planet; you feeling every death, every movement from all living beings on the planet.

“Karn?” Meloka asks, putting a hand on your shoulder, snapping you out of your focused state. “You okay?”
“I’m fine.” you reply, standing up and stretching out, your muscles a little stiff. “You ready?”
“I am.” she replies. “Are you?”
“Yeah, let’s do this.” you reply, transforming back up into a Super Saiyan. You pull back your arms, gathering your ki into your palms to fire a Dual Energy Wave. “HAAAAAAA!!”

Your dual waves smash through several walls, clearing a path straight through the ship to where their leader is hiding. You turn to Meloja, and with an exaggerated gesture,
“After you.”

She raises an eyebrow at your display, then rolls her eyes smiling, leading the way deeper into the Covenant ship. You both fly until you reach a wide open room, and who could only be their leader the Fleet Master, flanked by a half-dozen other Sangheili with weapons drawn.

“Welcome, monkeys, to your doom!” he shouts, gesturing to you both. “Men, open fire!

What now?

“‘Open fire’, huh? I’ll show you.” you think to yourself, quickly gathering energy into your palms.
“HAAAAAA!!” you shout, blasting your dual waves at the assembled Elites before they can fire. You catch a few of them unprepared, you energy consuming them in a flash of lightx However, three avoid death. Two of the lesser elites leap aside, avoiding the attack, while the commander activates a shield device, protecting him from your attack. The two in the air sight you in, firing a barrage of blasts from their short hand rifles at you. But Meloka is ready, leaping into action.

Jumping above you she fires a pair of waves, the attacks intercepting the Elites’ attacks, forcing them to dodge away again. She then points a finger at each, keeping them at bay with repeated Death Beams. Meanwhile you focus on the leader, staring him down through the smoke your blasts kicked up. He deactivates his shield, tossing one of those blue grenades at you. You smirk at the desperate attack, raising a hand and firing a Death Beam, obliterating the grenade. Your blast destroys it, kicking up a surprising amount of smoke. You aren’t worried, sensing that their leader hasn’t moved. You rush at him through the smoke, ready to end him. But he was ready.

You rush through the cloud, straight at the Covenant leader. You swing at him with a heavy right, intent on taking him out with a single swing. But he was ready. Ducking your strike, he punches you hard in the gut, launching you into the ceiling. You crash hard, denting the ceiling then crashing back down to the floor. But something’s wrong. Looking down, you see another of those grenades stuck to your stomach where he’s hit you.

“Oh shi-!!“

BOOM

“KARN!!” you hear Meloka shout over a high pitched ringing in your ears. Everything hurts; your flesh is scorched, your armor and clothes a ruin, but you’re still concious. You can still fight!

“I’m okay.” you think to Meloka, slowly, painfully, forcing yourself to your feet. But before you fully rise, the commander knees you in the gut, sending you flying and crashing into the far wall, then falling to the ground. Meloka rushes over to you, transforming up into an Ultra Super Saiyan and standing over you, guarding you from further attack as you slowly rise.

“T-Thanks!” you get out, hissing in pain. Yup, ribs are definitely broken. The other two Elites retreat to their commander.
“Is this it?!” he taunts you, the three of them drawing their Energy Blade weapons. Meloka draws hers in response, glaring hatefully at the commander.

“Can you hold them off for me?” you think to Meloka, finally making it to your feet. “I’ve got just the move for this asshole.”
“How long do you need?” she asks, drawing a blade with her left as well.
“Not long.” you reply, flaring your aura as you gather your power. “I’m gonna punch that asshole straight to hell.”

She chuckles a bit, turning to look at you with an oddly sad smile.
“I’ll buy you all the time you need.”
Before you can reply, she shouts out in challenge, leaping at the three of them. You’re worried about that look, but you have no time to dwell on it. You have to focus.

You close your eyes and focus your ki, you have to do this right. That rest restored a bit of your strength, but taking that blast left you weaker than before. You’ll only have one shot at this. Your aura flares wildly around you, but you’re oddly calm. You can do this.

“I’ve got this one!” one of the two subordinates shout, dashing from Meloka and headed right for you.
“Dammit!” she shouts, locked in place by the other two, unable to get through them without possibly taking heavy damage. “Karn look out!!”

But you’re ready.

“DRAGON FIIIIIIIST!!!” you roar, golden ki dragon flaring into existance as you charge. The first Elite is caught completely off guard, your attack obliterating him without slowing your charge.
“What is this?!” their commander shouts, leaping back in fear. But you don’t change course. Steering straight for him, you shout out incomprehensibly, charging at incredible speeds. It activates the shield again, your attack crashing against the barrier.

“Ahahaha fool! Your strength means, nothing?” he started confidently, until his shield cracks against your attack.

“I’M SENDING YOU TO HELL!!” you shout, your attack shattering his shield. “NOW DIE!!!”

You feel your attack pierce through the arrogant commander, you sense yourself passing through him as your strength finally gives out. The attack fades, you crashing to the ground and feel yourself slipping into unconsciousness, your strength completely gone.

That may kind of be it.
I'm just sitting here thinking back to karn and meloka sitting around the campfire, karn ignoring his broken arm until meloka finds out.

Maybe she's upset because we don't take good enough care of ourselves.
Maybe she thinks we're pushing ourselves too hard, and we're going to die because of it.
But at least half the reason we do that is so we'll be strong enough to protect her when we need to, and yet we're forced to rely on her when the chips are down because we're constantly at our limits, because we're an idiot. We rush in to battle and get fucked up in stupid ways all the time, too. Getting our head chewed on, taking a blaster to the gut, ect.

You wake up once again in the Healing Pod, by now a familiar post-battle routine to you. Extending your senses, you feel that your ship is surprisingly empty. Wait, your ship’s here! How long were you out? Focusing again, you sense that Meloka, the Guardian, King Cold, Chaya and Broly are all outside. Reaching out with a hand, you throw the switch. The pod drains then opens, you stepping out and equipping the fresh set of gear left for you. Putting on your scouter, you perform a quick scan of yourself and realize your power’s climbed again, now up to 196,575. Shutting down the scouter before it can try to read King Cold’s insane power and explode, you make your way outside your ship, stretching out as you walk down the ramp.

“DAAAAAAAAAAD!!!” Chaya shouts, leaping from everyone else straight at you. You catch her and hold her in your arms, looking down at your daughter and seeing she’s crying.
“Chaya what’s wrong?” you ask her, concerned.
“Daddy go-got hurt!” she wails out, burying her face in your chest and crying even harder. You hold your crying daughter close, patting her back and letting her cry it out.
“Its okay Chaya, I’ll always come back okay.” you tell her as her sobbing slows. She looks up curiously at you, not getting it. “As long as your mom’s around, I’ll always be safe.”
“Mo-mama save daddy?” she asks you.
“All the time.” you tell your daughter, chuckling at the irritated look Meloka gives you.
“Yaaay!” Chaya shouts, leaping from your arms back to Meloka, her catching your daughter. “Mama the best!”
“That she is.” you say, walking up to Meloka, picking her up and kissing her.

“Glad to see you’re finally awake.” King Cold says, walking up to you, the Guardian by his side. “We have much to discuss.”

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 28 Paused-
>>
>>2229886
As always, we’ll resume 11am EST. So everyone enjoying the quest so far? I’ll be around to answer questions for a bit before turning in.
>>
>>2229897
God damn it, i feel even worse for making chaya worry.
I dunno what we're supposed to do about it, though.

OOC, karn's always going to be controlled by random anons, and even amongst regulars to the thread, there's no guarantee that they'll remember to try and make more intelligent decisions to keep karn from getting hurt for their sakes. In the heat of the moment it usually defaults to whatever is most likely to work even if it's dangerous, or otherwise rule of cool.

I don't know if there's a good solution to this, given the way progression works in this quest.
GD wants karn to always be challenged, every race is always stronger than the next even though they're fighting on par with a supposedly legendary warrior that never stops getting stronger, but presumably if we don't train to get stronger we'll get buttfucked at the next encounter. That's what i'd expect.

So it's not just an issue of getting stronger, of having better stamina or more techniques, because there's no end to end to it. We're always going to be in danger, our lives will always be at risk and there's nothing we can really do about it.
Maybe we (and karn) can accept that, but maybe meloka can't. Maybe she feels like she's got a good deal, and enough is enough. Maybe she'd rather we just stop fighting and live in peace as a family, and while technically an option (assuming we could talk frieza into it, while king cold would probably be relieved at the idea), there's no way we can really do that.
>>
>>2229910
I guess the upcoming question when you get right down to it is "Why are we fighting?"
And that's a big one. Especially considering our relationship the cold family.
>>
>>2229910
>>2229914
All Chaya knew is her mama came back carrying her unconscious daddy on her back, and put him in a pod without him saying anything to you. Chaya couldn’t understand what was wrong, just that daddy wouldn’t wake up.

Meloka, on the other hand, is a whole different story. Before she knew you, you were kinda the knight in shining armor of her early teen years, swooping in and saving her at the last moment from certain death. Then she joined your team, and learned more about you; getting to know Karn more as a person, and fell in love. Recently, however, she comes to dread missions, constantly worried that this’ll be the fight you’ll push yourself too far, leaving her all alone. And for what reason?
>>
I’m turning in for tje night, see everyone 11am EST when we resume.
>>
>>2229968
Now i'm starting to worry that she'll really go full yuno gasai and turn on the cold family.

But again, what are we supposed to do? Build a space station, launch ourselves into the void between galaxies and forget the rest of the universe exists?
I don't think that's the solution. Karn needs... fucking support.

We have meloka and sometimes ubo, but that's pretty much it.
And don't get me wrong, they're goddamn lifesavers, literally. But it's not enough.

I don't know if they keep sending us out on our own to do insane shit like this just because we haven't failed yet and nobody else could, but we're going to die eventually if this keeps up, even if it's just a cheap, lucky shot, like that cunt from our first sword duel.

We need a whole team again, like in the beginning. No more splitting up, fighting ourselves (way more than) half to death all on our own. Karn and meloka need to stick together, and we need people we can trust to handle a smaller situation should it arise, people who we can trust to have our backs and fucking help us when we need it.

We don't have a whole team of z-fighters, we don't have a whole ginyu force. We got meloka and sometimes ubo, who we'd be dead ten times over without already.
>>
>>2229980
Vegeta is really the only one in a position to be our bravo team leader right now. The only one strong enough.

We have good people, people from our old teams that we've neglected for a long time.
How long has it been? How long since karn has had a break?

Maybe it's time to focus on training the others instead of ourselves.
We should take leyas, sarada, vegeta, nappa and the others to meet the guardian.
We should voice our concerns instead of being pig-headed and just shouldering it.
>>
>>2229988
And when i say voice our concerns, i don't just mean to meloka and the others.
I mean to the cold family as well. Even if they just want to treat us like an asset, they should still take care of us.

If you have a nice, one of a kind car, you don't run the engine until it explodes. You take care of it, give it an oil change every once in a while.
They've just been sending us off with little more than a scouter and some paper armor.
Even our ship was simply stolen from someone we defeated, and upgraded little by little by the good will of our own scientists.

The cold family has resources beyond imagination, it makes no sense.
>>
>>2229283
Every damn time, 1 short of a crit. At this point we need to only try and upgrade our crit threshold. Just 1 point and we would be swimming in the.

It took our relationship with Meloka to push us hard enough to go Super Saiyan. Wouldn't that also mean that perhaps several of them could make it too? A few of them have wifes/siblings/and-soon children of their own.

Hell, I like to think that maybe some day in the far-off future that there could be many Super Saiyans amongst the Saiyan race.

“Discuss? Like what?” you ask, slightly worried.
“The war, for starters.” King Cold says. “I’d let Freeza begin this campaign under the belief that the superior power of our forces would bring us victory, but it seems we’d greatly underestimated the destructive capabilities of their technology. In light of this new information, we’ll be beginning peace talks with the Covenant soon.”
“Peace talks?” you and Meloka ask simultaneously, then you continue. “After they’ve killed so many of my people, you want to let them go?”
“Not want to.” Cold says, a hard edge to his voice. “But it may be necessary. We simply don’t have the manpower to win this fight, we cannot attack and defend at the same time. Your Saiyans and my son’s forces both have each fended off another invasion in the Boran system since you left to protect this world.”
“Another..?” Meloka says, stunned.

“How many ships do they have?” you ask, a hint of frustration in your voice. “Seems for every ship we destroy, they have two more ready to go.”
“And that’s the problem.” Cold says. “The arrangements have been made, peace negotiations will begin in two and a half month’s time, on the planet Freeza and his troops landed on. And I would like both of you there, to watch over my boy.”
“Ten weeks?” Meloka asks. “We’ll never make it there in time.”
“Not in that ship you won’t.” King Cold says, nodding in agreement. “However, your transportation has already been arranged.”

As if on cue, a circular ship similar to Freeza’s begins entering atmosphere, headed straight for the Guardian’s island.
“Is that-?” Meloka asks.
“Indeed, Super Saiyans.” King Cold says, a bit smugly. “Your new ship. How a general arrives should represent both his station, as well as the prestige of the one he serves.”
“Thank you, King Cold.” you say, giving him the traditional Saiyan salute. Once the ship lands, which takes up most of the island, King Cold says,
“Now, let me show you your new ship.”

And so he does, giving you and Meloka a guided tour around the ship, Chaya looking at everything wide-eyed from Meloka’s arms. Yours and Meloka’s room, the mess hall which makes your mouth water realizing you haven’t eaten since you landed on New Salda, equipment storage, Healing Pods, the bridge, and a really intense Gravity Chamber. The one on your old ship maxed out at 30x Planet Vegeta’s gravity, whereas this one goes up to 100x. You know you’re going to be putting a lot of time into that room. Your crew is rather small, consisting of a half-dozen pilots, two medical staff, two maintenance staff, the ship’s cook and his assistant.

Once the tour’s completed, King Cold waves farewell to you both, walking down the ramp and going inside the Guardian’s tower with the old alien.

“So you ready to go General?” one of the pilots asks you.
cont
>>
>>2230642
“Not yet.” you tell him. “I have a bit more business to take care of first. But go ahead and prepare the ship for liftoff, this’ll only take a moment.”
“Yes sir.” he says, saluting then running back inside.
“What’s wrong?” Meloka asks.
“We haven’t gotten everyone back here yet.” you tell her. “We’re not just going to leave them, are we?”
“Oh damn I totally forgot!” she says, hands over her mouth. “With all the excitement over the ship, I’d forgotten to call them over.”
“Or should we?” you ask.
“Huh?” Meloka asks you, confused. “What do you mean?”
“From what King Cold was saying, they’re planning to de-escalate the war.” you say. “Perhaps this is the perfect opportunity for them to stay here and train instead?”
“Hmm maybe.” Meloka says, now lost in thought.

Well you have a few choices, what will you do?

“Before we decide, we should see if he’ll even teach them.” you say, then think to the Guardian. “Hate to interrupt, but do you think you can teach four more?”
“If wish to learn, they do. Then teach them, I will.” he replies, you get the feeling he’s rather happy.
“Thanks a lot.” you reply, then sever the connection, then turn back to Meloka. “They’re in.”
“That’s good.” she says, then her voice goes a bit quieter. “Only one thing left to do.”
“Yeah.”

“You go bye bye?” Chaya asks, looking back and forth between the two of you.
“Yeah kiddo we have to go.” you say, Meloka and you hugging your daughter close between you. “Behave while we’re gone, and we’ll be back soon okay?”
“Okay!” she says, rushing off to your ship when you set her down, dragging Broly with her.

“She’ll be just fine.” you say to Meloka, putting an arm over her shoulders and pulling her close as Chaya disappears inside your ship.
“Yeah.” Meloka replies, staring off for a moment, then shaking her head to snap out of it. “Okay let’s get this ship moving already.”

A minute later you and Meloka stand on the bridge, your new ship leaving New Salda and headed for Freeza.

“So we’ve got 10 weeks to get ready.” Meloka says, stretching her arms above her head. “Where do we start?”

Over the next five weeks, you get to know your new crew, as well as test out this new Gravity Chamber. You first introduce yourself to the pilots. Their stories are basically the same; Freeza Force took over their planet, when the join or die came around they joined. They also all look mostly similar, long oblong heads like the Hive, but other than that mostly humanoid. Their other distinguishing feature(and how you tell them apart) are they’re each a different bright color. Next you introduce yourself to the Maintenance staff, them both checking on the engines. They’re both Brench natives, as if the red skin and white hair weren’t a dead giveaway. They’d joined up with the Freeza Force early on, but their lack of battle aptitude relegated them to the back lines. Instead of remaining useless, however, they learned how to break down, repair, and rebuild every system on the ships of the PTO, earning their place. The medical staff weren’t exactly talkative, Dr. White and his mute assistant he calls Mouse answers your questions in short 1-2 word answers. For some reason, you get the feeling they don’t much like you. You have no idea why. But of all the crew, the cook really takes a shine to you.

“And here’s the Captain now!” he greets you when you and Meloka walk in, grabbing a crutch to help him stand on his one good leg. “Jim my boy, come out here and greet the captain!”
“Yes sir!” a young man replies, running out from the back room to greet you, bowing at the waist then offering his hand. “My name’s Jim, sir!”
“Jim.” you reply, shaking his hand, then turning to the rather strangely-dressed man. “And you are?”
“Call me Silver.” he says, clasping your hand in a surprisingly strong grip. You can’t help but get the feeling he’s sizing you and Meloka up. “The famous Super Saiyans, on me vessel. It, is an honor to have ye both on board. But I must ask, are the rumors true?”
“And which rumors are those?” Meloka asks, floating up your back, wrapping her arms around your neck and laying her head on your shoulder.
“That ye both fight with the strength of an army, and eat like two armies!” he says with a hearty chuckle. “So we’ll be two of the hardest workers on the ship! Jim, get those ovens fired up! We’d better get to work for the new captain!”

After enjoying a hearty meal with Meloka, Silver and Jim, you and Meloka go to the Gravity Chamber work off a bit of the meal and see what it can do. Cranking it to your previous max of 15x New Salda’s gravity(30x Planet Vegeta’s), and run through your daily workouts. Every day for the five weeks, you make it a point to speak with everyone on the crew at least once a day, as well as exercising in the Gravity Chamber with Meloka, cranking it up a bit each day after the first week. All too soon, however, the first five weeks are over.

With the remaining five weeks, you change your pace a bit. You still make it a point to speak with the crew as often as possible, but you make more of an effort towards the cold Medical Staff. And despite your efforts, you make no progress. You get no more than 12 words out of him in a week, and his attitude towards you doesn’t chill even slightly. After weeks of this, you finally confide in Silver, the friendliest person towards you on the ship besides Meloka.

“I just don’t get it.” you tell him over a lunch, the two of you and Jim the only ones present. “I don’t see what his problem with me is.”
“Perhaps his problem be not with you, but what you are.” he says.
“Huh?” you ask, confused. “What does that mean?”
“Not everyone joined the PTO willingly, like you Saiyans.” he says, tapping his crutch on the ground. “Perhaps he’s from one of those planets that had to be, ‘pacified’?”
“Maybe.” you sigh out. “Well anyways, thanks for listening.”
“Anytime, captain.” he says, saluting you with his crutch as you walk out.

But that isn’t all you spend your time doing. You also work on a new technique, a combination of the Guardian’s Barrier and your Energy Fists. Your plan was to use your ki like a full-body shield, coating yourself in defensive energy. However, you just can’t get it to work. After weeks of effort you can create the shield, but when you either attack or block a hit, the energy dissipates. Despite your best efforts, and however much energy you pump into it, you can’t get it to last longer than a single impact. And while it can even block Meloka’s Energy Blade, it can only take one hit.

All too soon the trip ends, and your new ship touches down beside Lord Freeza’s. You and Meloka disembark together, seeing a familiar face waiting for you.

“Greetings General Karn, you certainly look more like my general now.” Freeza says, Zarbon and Dodoria behind him, lines of grunts on either side of your ship’s ramp. “I take it you had a pleasant trip?”
“It’s certainly a nice ship.” you tell him, Saiyan saluting and bowing, Meloka following your lead. “Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”
“Ohohohohoho, flattery only goes so far, Super Saiyan.” Freeza says, chuckling as his scouter begins beeping, reading out your and Meloka’s powerlevels. “I see you’ve been working hard since we last met, you’re powerlevel now reading-“

“Now, enough of these plesantries.” Freeza says, turning his hoverchair around. “Come on inside, there are important matters to discuss.”

You both follow along behind Freeza, Dodoria and Zarbon, leading the way inside a formerly-Covenant fortification. You both are led into what appears to be some sort of conference room, where there are five guests already waiting. Wait, isn’t that-

Actions have consequences. Every major empire, and most minor empires, have spies in almost every other empire. The Saiyans’ huge jump in power from Gravity Chamber training didn’t go unnoticed.

Sounds like the simple act of Karn's continued survival is...the best possible result for Universe 7's mortal level, to be honest.
Everyone's getting way stronger in our universe. I wouldn't be surprised if the Mortal Level was around 4, 5, or even 6 at the current moment.

Yeah, that's probably what makes him so fucking memorable to those who've played the game actually. He's so self-confident and sure of himself throughout the vast majority of the game, and the few times when he loses his cool, he gets *vicious*. As in, Frieza-level sadistic mixed in with a Saiyan's desire to face ever greater challenges along with their ability to adapt to almost any situation.

He does calm down a great deal around the game's end though. Mostly because he was driven mad with rage at the annihilation of his home and didn't truly understand who to direct said rage towards, and he ended up getting brainwashed by the very monsters who destroyed his world and people.

QM UPDATE
Still working on the Time Patrol Trunks epilogue, will hopefully have it done by tomorrow. I’ll be around for you guys’ questions, and in the meantime I have one of my own:
Who do you guys think’ll win? Ginyu? Or Meloka?
>>
>>2236393
I think Freiza
>>
>>2236393
Meloka, our girl got this.
>>

Meloka, she's consistent about out-fucking-skilling people instead of overpowering them.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 28 Epilogue I-

TOKI TOKI CITY, AGE 850

“DAMMIT!” you shout, slamming your fist on the table before you, causing the scrolls laying there to jump. You are Trunks, son of Bulma and the proud Saiyan Prince Vegeta, and you just failed in your mission again. Towa’s agent was right there, and she slipped right through your fingers!
“Trunks, what’s wrong?” the Supreme Kai of Time asks you, concerned.
“She, they got away.” you say, frustration pouring out. “Again. She used Instant Transmission and moved them from the ship before I could stop her.”

Before she can respond, your wish-summoned partner Ace appears in a flash of light, holding another scroll.

“Hey, you’re back!” the Supreme Kai of Time says, walking up to him. “Was your mission a success?”
He doesn’t answer with words, instead simply nodding like usual and handing her the scroll.
“Great. Here’s your next one.” she says, grabbing a scroll with a now-familiar dark aura surrounding it from the table and handing it to him. He grabs the scroll and nods again, disappearing in a flash of light. The Supreme Kai of Time nods once, then turns back to you.

“Trunks, you’ve been pushing yourself too hard lately.” she says, placing a hand on your shoulder. “Go take some time off and get your head clear. I don’t know what’s bothering you, but you need to get that worked out before you can go out on patrol again.”
“But-!” you start, before she interrupts you.
“That’s an order, Trunks.” she says softly. “I don’t know what’s wrong with you, but...”

You miss the rest of what she’s saying, mind flashing back to when you’d confronted Karn:
“What kind of Saiyan are you?”

“Got it?” Supreme Kai of Time asks, still standing there.
“R-Right.” you say, turning and walking out of the Time Nest.
“KIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!” Toki-Toki caws, circling overhead as you walk through the portal. You walk through the gate, stepping out into Toki Toki City proper.

Its been almost a week since your intense battle with that Saiyan Karn. Looking right, you hear a commotion from your right. Seems there’s a tournament going on. But being around the others isn’t what you need right now, you want to be alone, so you walk the other way, absorbed in your thoughts. Losing the fight isn’t what bothered you, your life under the androids got you used to losing. Its what he said that still bothers you.

“You’d let a fellow Saiyan die? And for what? Killing a demon who’s done nothing but helped our kind? What kind of Saiyan are you?”

Several days later, you still have no answer for him that feels right. You’d thought that working for the Supreme Kai of Time was the right and noble thing to do. After all fixing history and righting timelines is a noble goal, right?

“Is that what you think you’re doing?” an all-too familiar voice taunts from behind you.

“Towa!” you shout, leaping away and turning to face the demon, hand reflexively on your sword. “How did you get in here?!”
“Ohoho it was simple really.” Towa says, then waves dismissively at you, an odd bubble appearing around you both. “There’s no need for your sword, Trunks. I’m not here to fight.”
“You-You’re not?” you ask, caught completely off-guard.
“Of course not.” she replies, then smirks dangerously at you. “But if I were.....”

Suddenly, you cant move! Your body is stuck, as if frozen or paralyzed. Towa keeps smirking at you, maintaining eye contact as she starts slowly, confidently, sensually prowling towards you. The terror, arousal, helplessness, the fear, all these emotions roil around inside of you, helpless to defend yourself as Towa lifts her spear, placing the tip right over your heart.

“There’s nothing you could do about it.” she says, uncomfortably close to your face, before laughing and turning her back to you, somehow releasing you from her hold.
“So-“ you start, then take a deep breath to calm yourself, and steady your nerves and voice. “So, if you’re not here to fight, then why are you here?”

“Isn’t that obvious?” she asks, looking over her shoulder smugly at you. “I’m here to offer you a choice.”
“A choice?” you ask, confused. “I-I don’t understand-“
“I know.” she says, turning fully back to you. “Poor Trunks, stolen from his time to be a slave for a Kai too lazy to do her only job. I bet she’s kept you in the dark as to her true goal as well.”
“Wait wait hold on, true goal?” you ask, your curiosity to see what she knows overwhelming the fear. “What are you talking about.”

“Why do you think she had all this built?” she asks, spreading her arms in a grandiose manner, as if showing off the city. “Why do you think she’s gathered so many powerful fighters in such a small place, urging them all to become as strong as possible? It isn’t for some noble “protecting time” nonsense, as she so often spouts. Her true, nefarious goal is to absorb you all to attain power beyond even that of a God of Destruction.”

“Bullshit!” you shout immediately, the absurdity of the claim beyond anything you’ve ever heard. “That’s impossible.”
“Is it? she asks, materializing a crystal ball in her hand. “See for yourself, although as a mortal you cannot possibly comprehend her strength.”

You peer into the ball, seeing a much different-looking Towa standing off against the Supreme Kai of Time, and sure enough she transforms, maturing in a flash of light and gaining a halo much like that other evil Kai, Zamasu.

“But if that’s her, why do you look completely different?” you ask, trying to find some way to disprove what you saw.
“That is a different Towa.” she says, to your shock. “In every divergent timeline, much as there are different Gokus and Vegetas, there are also different Daburas, Cells, and yes even other Towa.”

This revelation catches you completely off-guard, you’d never even considered that possibility. Before you can contemplate those implications, she presses onward.

“She freely destroys timelines she doesn’t like.” Towa continues, to your mounting concern. “If she wishes you erased there is no chance for you to survive. You simply disappear, forever. Irrevocably, irreversibly gone. No spell nor dragon can bring back those she erases. We’ve tried everything to-“
“We?” you ask.

“All of us Towa.” she continues. “Which is why we need to build a warrior, THE warrior. A warrior strong enough to put an end to her tyrrany forever.”
“So that’s why you’ve been stealing energy throughout history.” you say.
“We have no need to ‘steal’ energy, like Gero’s pet monsters.” she says, becoming slightly irritated. “We simply harvest the runoff energy from powerful warriors’ battles. Which is where you come in, Trunks.”

“Me?” you ask, confused. “What could I possibly do?”
“Do?” she asks, getting smug again. “You’ve got this backwards, Trunks. Its what I can do for you. If you were to join us, you could go back. Back to your own time, and save Gohan from the androids.”
“Go-Gohan?” you ask, overwhelmed by emotion. “You mean-?!”
“Yes.” she says, knowingly. “You could save him from that fate. Right the wrong, and achieve what you’ve always wanted. All I’d ask in return is for you both to- Damn, we’re out of time. Quickly, put your hand on your sword!”

Your body obeys before you can think, you grabbing your sword to draw it as Towa raises her staff.

“Think long and hard about my offer, Trunks.” Towa says, then as an afterthought. “Oh, and grit your teeth. This’ll hurt a bit.”
“Huh-AAAAAAAUGH!!” you scream, the demon sorceress blasting you with a bolt of purple lightning. The pain is excruciating, you can smell your clothes cooking from the intensity. And almost as soon as it starts, its over.

“Damn, you’re resilient.” she says, then looks behind you. “Its your lucky day, I’ll have to finish my revenge another time.”

And with that, she’s gone, and you can feel yourself slipping into unconsciousness.

“Don’t let her get away!” you hear the Supreme Kai of Time shout. “She has to be caught!”

Your last thoughts, as you lose consciousness, are of Gohan and what could be.

So....how much she said was true and how much was BS?
>>
>>2238620
probably most of it is BS knowing her, all things considered she is still a demon, and even though as you have seen before with dabura, demons can actually be nice, most of them are dicks, and towa's explicit purpose at least as far as xenoverse 2 is concerned is specifically to hlaf the universe in control of the demon realm by means of actually being fully connected to the universe instead of this parallel plane shit shes currently on, now karn in terms of this would honestly probably be alright with this as long as frieza and co own the other half and the saiyans are left alone, but this will massively fuck the universe as a whole and piss off both the kai's and beerus like basically nothing else.
>>
>>2238620
That’s the real question isn’t it? How much was the truth, what was distorted or partial truths, and what were straight lies?
>>2238677
>piss off the Kais

this is probably the most interesting parts of what she actually said, the implications where all the towas are working together for their goals and shit, also that timelines that get blown to shit can't physically get fixed because different Towas have tried with all sorts of shit, this is probably the only real truths shes actually said to him the whole time, also the fact that all of them seem hellbent of using mira, thats probably true as well.

Let's face it, Trunks truly is a disgrace to the Saiyan race. It's not entirely his fault, of course, but that fact remains. The boy wasn't even born with a tail, despite being half Saiyan. He's got all this potential that he's failing to meet.
>>
>>2238951
Worst part is Trunks is totally gonna fuck this up and end up working for Towa, siccing the fucking time patrol guys from the Xenoverse games on us, as well as the god versions of Goku/Vegeta. This means that karn needs to get a metric fuckton stronger quickly.

>>
>>2239079
Make fun of it all you will, but you can't contest that Asura is one badass motherfucker.
Imagine getting so pissed off that you manage to kill off the god in control of the very thing powering you.

That being said, his power level does differ a lot throughout the story. He just keeps coming back stronger and even more pissed off every time they kill him.

I can also see where he'd oppose the PTO if they came in trying to wipe out the innocents on the planet he's on.
>>
>>2239089
And make fun I will. Any game company that puts the ending of their game behind a second paywall without prerelease notice they’re doing that is pure cancer, and their offices deserved getting firebombed.
However, your powerlevels are still far too low for Asura-tier characters to be brought in yet, if I even use him. Augus proves that very handily.
>>
>>2239181
Oh definitely. Plus, the advanced-tech empire encounters should be spaced out, I reckon. Definitely not one after the other.
Although I will admit that it's a little hard to compare Asura's Wrath powerlevels to DBZ powerlevels, since technically Karn could destroy a planet fairly easily (given that a 16-18k pl canon vegeta can do it with some effort). It's just a matter of how easily, compared to the 7 generals...
>>
>>2239181
Well, then we should get us some zombies to kill.
>>
>>2239197
One of the potential next arcs will be one I’ve been promising for awhile now, and dropping less-than-subtle hints for rather frequently.
And yeah, they tank re-entry and planetbreaking attacks somewhat regularly. Breaking a planet is one thing, surviving planet breaking attacks is quite another.
>>2239278
How did you get zombies from that?
>>

I’m kinda on the other side of this, and not really inclined to listen to Towa. SKoT seems to do the best she can, and works hard to be the good guy. She’s had to do some hard things, but she’s an ancient being from the beginning of the universe, and probably knows a lot more on the subject than we could ever. She’s strict because she has to be. Because she knows what happens when unstable timelines are allowed to wobble off track.

I like Towa, and appreciate what she’s done, but you can’t forget she’s A) crazy, and B) objectively evil.

You know, speaking of Towa and objective evil, it's already been stated that Demons (at least in DB) are natural existences, but what about Doom Demons? Those seem like they'd count more as an outside force utterly divergent from the normal Multiverse, encroaching upon it from below. So sure, whilst Towa and her kind *ARE* straight-up evil, at least they are natural beings that exist as just another part of the universe, instead of being multiverse-devouring cosmic horrors that are barely held at bay from consuming all things.

Earth happened to have an unexpectedly huge amount of energy available, in the form of several bullshit-tier individuals who are by NO means the standard in the universe. Babidi so far had been collecting energy from various planets to try to crack Buu out, I'm pretty sure.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 28 Epilogue II-

AGE ???, TOWA’S LAB

“Hey Auntie Towa, you called for me?” you call out, walking into her lab with your hands nonchalantly behind your head. You are Chaya, 19 years old Saiyan and proud daughter of the late Super Saiyans Karn and Meloka. For the past 7 years you’ve lived here in this time with ‘Auntie’ Towa, the demon princess providing you a place to live after what happened to your parents.

“I thought I told you to quit calling me that.” you’re greeted with a sigh by the demon princess, her standing over the table on whih her partially-rebuilt Mira rests, turning to face you while Churai waits passively in the corner. “And yes I did. With Mira down, I’m going to need you as backup. Was your special training a success?“

“Yes! I’m ready to go!” you shout jumping in the air, excited to be going back on a mission. She hasn’t let you back out on a mission in over a year, after you’d nearly been captured by the Time Patrol on your last one. “Who do I get to fight this time?”

“I’m not certain, but I’m positive at least that new warrior she got will try and follow me back.” Towa says, you feeling excitement rise up within you at your chance for a rematch with that arrogant redheaded punk, especially after all the training you put yourself through. “I’m going to go to Toki Toki City, and I’m sure I’ll be followed on my way out.”

“Wait, Time Patrol HQ?” you ask, confused. “Isn’t that dangerous? What are you even sneaking in there for?”

“Recruiting.” she replies, in that annoyong, condescendingly smug way she does where she answers your question without really answering it. “I may have found us a new recruit, one whom the others have overlooked.”

“But who? And what if you get caught?” you ask, starting to panic. “What if you don’t come back? What if they catch you and you can’t get out, what if you never come back, you can’t just leave me out there alone, not like-!!“

“Chaya!” Towa shouts over your rising panic, the shock silencing you. She glares at you sternly, then her face softens a bit, continuing. “I’ll be fine, its a quick in-and-out mission. If anything goes wrong, I still have that contingency plan ready, remember?”

“Oh, right. That.” you say, embarrassed by your outburst. “Sooo, when are we leaving?”

“Now.” Towa says, gesturing to her other mechanical follower. “Churai.”

With that, the mechanical woman walks forward with two fingertips to her forehead. You and Towa each put a hand on her shoulders, then you all vanish.

AGE 737, NAMELESS PLANET

You blink a few times, taking in your new surroundings as Towa and Churai vanish, the machine woman presumably taking Towa inside Toki Toki City’s defenses. Looking around, you seem to be on a dead world. The ground is dry and baked, there’s no moisture in the air at all, and the only ki you can sense is, behind you?You turn, ready to fight, but those thoughts disappear as you see the source of the ki.

“Holy shit that’s huge!” you shout, looking up and up and up at a colossal tree. Words fail to describe the scale of this tree, you think it’s leaves may even be outside the atmosphere its so big. You spend a few moments marveling at the tree, completely entranced. “Wonder how it got that big?”

Your contemplation is cut short as Towa reappears alone, Churai nowhere to be seen. You have no time to think on this either, as Towa speaks.

“He’s coming.” she says, and sure enough as soon as she says that a flash of light appears behind her. You hold an arm up over your face, the light blinding you. And sure enough, as the light fades, you see Ace floating there, preparing to attack.

“I’ve been waiting for this.” you say, cracking your knuckles then assuming the stance your daddy taught you. You’re ready. He doesn’t reply, floating in place for a few seconds. Then your rematch begins.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=fopXZDAFxuw

Just as before, he explodes forward, covering the distance between you both in an instant. But this time, you’re ready for him. You’ve trained hard, and pushed yourself beyond your limits for this fight. There’s no way you’ll lose to him again!

“HAAAAA!!” you shout, leaning back past his right haymaker and slamming your right boot square into his gut. He wheezes from the impact, but you’re just getting started! Leaning back forward you catch his jaw with a savage left, three quick right jabs, then finish with a left back hook kick, knocking him spinning away. You hang back and resume your stance, knowing being too aggressive early on could get you hurt, especially with those damn regenerative capsules he carries. So you hold yourself back, waiting to see what he’ll do next.

“KAIO-KEN!” Ace shouts, that familiar red aura enveloping him as he rushes you again even faster than before. But it isn’t enough for him to surpass you! Your fists clash, throwing shockwaves that knock some of the dead leaves from the dying tree down around you both. Your fists, feet and knees clash over and over, trading dozens of blows in a matter of seconds. You manage to block everything he threw at you, and even landed a few hits in that exchange as well. The final hit both of your fists clash, the force knocking you both back from each other as his red aura fades. You simply hold back, waiting to see what he does next. And from how he’s standing, it seems that arrogant asshole is ready to get serious.

“HAAAAAAA!!!” he shouts, aura turning golden along with his hair, eyes turning green as he becomes a Super Saiyan.

“Finally taking me seriously?” you shout, arms tight by your sides. “Guess I’ll step it up too! HYAAAAA!!”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=OnxAKF8G-5Y

You transform into a Super Saiyan as well, hair spiking up and turning as gold as your aura. You both drop back into your stances, glaring at each other for a tense few seconds. Then you explosively launch towards each other, clashing in a flurry of high-speed strikes. You trade over a dozen blows, you each taking several hard hits. But unfortunately he wins the exchange, a left uppercut catching your chin as you tried to lean back past the attack and sending you flying. But instead of pursuing, you hear him begin a familiar chant:

“Kaaaaaa, meeeeee-!”

“Shit!” you think to yourself, stopping your involuntary flight. You see he’s gathering his ki for his big attack, blue orb glowing in his hands.

“Haaaaaaa, meeeeee-!”

Your aura flares, you dashing down towards the Time Patroller to stop him before he can fire that attack. But you’re too far away.

“HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” he shouts, blue column of ki racing towards you. You twist mid-air, barely managing to avoid the powerful blast as you continue your charge, dashing around the beam to kick him in the head. But when you strike him, he isn’t actually there. Oh hell, an afterimage.

“HYAA!” he shouts as his foot appears, kicking you in the jaw and sending you flying. You can’t stop, crashing hard into the giant tree. You hit hard enough to crack the bark, the force embedding you slightly in it.

“Okay, ow.” you think to yourself, pulling free from the tree then shouting at him. “Alright asshole, my turn!”

Quickly gathering your ki in your hands, you prepare to use momma’s special technique, remembering when daddy first taught it to you.

“This was your mother’s technique.” he’d told you, looking unusually sad that day. “Her move saved me more times than I can count. Its like she’s still here, watching over me.”
He had paused there for a moment, lost in memories, single tear dropping from his one good eye before shaking his head and continuing.
“Now, remember to disguise the real attacks amongst other blasts aimed right at the target, keep them distracted while you set the trap.”

“Yes daddy, I remember.” you say to yourself, now back in the present and ready. You fire blast after blast at Ace, the Time Patroller deflecting each blast aimed at him. But then you start ‘missing’, several blasts seemingly going wide as you continue your assault. He deflects the blasts aimed at him, oblivious to the growing number of attacks surrounding him. You fire a few more blasts, none aimed directly at him. He looks around, eyes widening in shock as realization strikes.

“This one’s for momma!” you shout, crossing your arms in front of you. “HELLZONE GRENADE!!”

The blasts all slam into Ace from every side, the patroller’s pained screaming drowned out by explosions, then you see him dropping like a stone towards the planet. You rush after him, but you know you’ll be too late to stop him from healing himself. Sure enough, he crashes into the ground and flips to his feet, activating one of those healing capsules. His injuries begin mending themselves as you rush him, you trying to get to him and stop it before he’s fully healed. But it seems that won’t happen.

“Kaaa meee haaaa meeee!” he shouts, gathering energy much faster this time to fire another beam at you. But this time you have a surprise for him as well. Time to use it!

“HAAAAAAAAAA!!!” you both shout, him firing his attack and you Ascending, your power doubling as your aura flares, lightning dancing along it. At this level his attack is laughably slow, you blitzing past it and landing behind the patroller. Before he can react you snake an arm around his throat, locking the choke in. He grabs desperately at your arm, trying to pry you off, but he’s no match for an Ascended Saiyan in his current form. You smile as his arms go slack, hair reverting back to his natural red. You’ve got him now!
cont
>>
>>2241815
“HYAAAAAAA!!!!” he shouts as a powerful white aura flares out from him, the force of it blasting you away and sending you tumbling over the ground until you land in a crouch, sliding another dozen or so feet before coming to a stop. You look up and see him standing there panting, catching his breath as you get back up, his sudden jump in power quite unexpected. But, if you’re being honest with yourself, you’d have been disappointed otherwise.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=3s2Ksz7rpck

“So you found a level past an Ascended Saiyan too?” you say, dusting yourself off. “Good, I didn’t spend all that time training for nothing. Since you’ve shown your trump card, I’ll show you mine as well! Past an Ascended Saiyan, what it means to go even further beyond!”

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!” you shout, aura flaring wildly around you. For a moment it looked like he was going to attack you, but as soon as your power started to swell he held himself back, waiting to see what you’ve got. Your awareness of the outside world fades, you’re dimly aware you are still screaming, voice breaking as you dive deeper than ever into the golden ki well, as daddy described it. You fight, pulling more and more power out from within to use, the full strength of a Super Saiyan. You pull, straining against the hardest wall you’ve found, it resisting your efforts to attain this power again.

But you persist, finally shattering through that barrier again! Power pours out from you, the extremely uncomfortable sensation of feeling your hair growing and becoming heavier dwarfed by the pain, the agony of pulling this much power out through your body. But you’ve done it! With a final shout, your aura glows blindingly bright, and when it fades you see Ace looking at you in fear and amazement.

“And this,” you say, your voice lower and rougher, hoarse from all the shouting, “Is Super Saiyan Three.”
cont
>>
>>2241818
“Sorry that took so long.” you say, watching Ace take an unconscious half-step back from you. “I’ve been practicing, but I’m still not entirely used to this form. Now let’s end this, right here and now.”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=SaeXN-MByjU
(start from 0:52)

You both dash at each other, slamming fists together in the first clash at full power. The force of your punches colliding shatters the ground around you, pieces flying everywhere. You kick at his head, which he blocks as he punches towards your face, you catching his fist in your palm. You both swing faster and faster, even to your sharpened senses you’re both moving like blurs.

Over and over your fists meet, kicks clash, strikes blocked, your strikes are destroying the planet around you as collateral, the shock from every impact travelling up your arms and legs every time you hit or block. You’d be lying if you said you weren’t enjoying yourself, and even more if you said you weren’t impressed he can keep up. You managed to surpass Mira’s strength in this form, and you can tell Ace has still got an advantage in raw power.

“Power isn’t everything.” you hear daddy’s voice in your head, his fighting advice he’d given you during your time together fleeing the Covenant always there when you need it. “If you can’t charge through them, hit them from every side, like we practiced.”

“Right!” you shout, switching to the Su Ma style he taught you and twisting counterclockwise past Ace’s next left jab, catching him completely off-guard. Continuing the movement you slam a left backfist into the back of his head, knocking him off balance. Using the rebound you twist back, kicking him in the nose with a back right hook, then following up with an Energy Wave, the blast sending him crashing into and inside the giant tree.

“Here comes the big one!!” you shout, rising up into the sky as you gather more and more power into your upturned palm, right hand held high in the sky as your giant ki ball forms. “Here’s the finisher! FALLING STAR!!”

You toss the massive sphere of ki down, engulfing the entire tree where Ace is, the other Saiyan struggling to resist your attack. He tries to push back against it, but your attack caught him off balance and he can’t resist. Your attack cuts the tree in half, the top half falling to your left as you keep pushing, your enormous sphere of ki slamming Ace into the ground. You smirk, knowing you’ve won, detonating your attack in a massive firey blast. You shield your eyes, the light blinding. Once its over, you look over to the crater where it hit, seeing the last person you ever want to see, and want to kill the most.

“YOU BITCH!!!”
cont
>>
>>2241820
Its her! You’ve never seen her in person, but Towa’s description is completely accurate. The Supreme Kai of Time is here, and some other guy with a black coat and a sword too, but he’s unimportant. If it wasn’t for her, momma’d still be alive! If it wasn’t for her, daddy’d still be with you! This bitch took your family from you, and you will NEVER FORVIGE HER!

“HOW DARE YOU!!” you shout down at the pink monster, golden aura flaring angrily as sparks fly around you. “HOW DARE YOY TAKE MY FAMILY AWAY FROM ME! I’LL MAKE YOU PAY!!”

You gather all of your power, no longer listening to reason but only the urge to kill, to destroy the one who took your parents away! Focusing it in your right hand, you put everything you’ve got into this attack!

“DRAAAGOON FIIIIIST!!!”
“ROOOOAAAAAAAR!!!” the golden ki dragon roars with you, your reckless headlong charge at the one who took your family from you. Focusing with deadly intensity, you blitz through the sky, crossing the hundreds of feet in mere seconds.

“HAAAA!” she shouts, an odd barrier springing out and protecting her and those two with her as well from your strike. Your attack slams hard into her shield, the jolt running up your arm. But it doesn’t matter, you shouting incoherently as you strain with all your incredible might. For over a minute you push against this goddess of evil, unable to break through her shield. You feel your strength start waning, the golden ki dragon dissipating as you drop to the ground, Super Saiyan Three fading as well and leaving you in your base form.

“D-Damn you.” you say, somehow pushing yourself to your feet and staring her down. “Som-Someday you’ll pay for what y-you did! They’re dead and its all, your-“

You can’t finish the sentence, your body giving out completely. As you fall, Churai appears and suddenly you’re no longer falling towards the ground, but your own bed.

“Sleep, Chaya.” Towa’s voice appears from somewhere nearby, you too tired to look. “You did well, your father’d be proud of you.”

Your last thought, before you black out, is the promise you’d made the last time you ever saw him, and what he said.
“One day Daddy, I’ll be strong enough that we’ll never have to run away ever again!”

“I know you will, Chaya.”

>>2241821
well anons, this means war, our daughter is suffering cause Kai's in our timeline have apparently gone the way of zamasu and finally got sick of our entire timelines bullshit, we got about 5-6 years until SKoT finally gets sick of our shit and actually bothers to deal with us with her serious shit, which means we seriously need to kick getting stronk as almighty fuck into seriously high gear, we clearly need to activate "it".
>>
>>2241821
I have a strong feeling SKoT will get Chaiya on her side and we would have to fight her eventually.
>>
>>2241843
Chaya would never betray auntie Towa like that.
>>
>>2241843
nah chaya is probably from a timeline where Karn didn't put up with Trunks and SKoT's protecting time bullshit since they kept picking times when you know, his wife is about 5 seconds from death and towa keeps bailing her out, and probably got Hakai'd cause he got too strong and probably permanently on the radar for serious bullshit to deal with for the timelines safety.

that is most definitely a tree of might, in case people are curious as to why its relevant, i find it curious as to what planet had to die and if it had sentient life at some point to make it grow like that.
>>
>>2241827
She’s been through a lot, especially for a kid. Also the only real social interaction she gets is from Towa, her enemies, and Mira and Churai who are more machine than people.
>>2241835
Rip and Tear is rarely the wrong answer.
>>2241840
Remember, Chaya has lived with Towa for several years now.
>>2241843
That would be rather unlikely.
>>2241844
Kinda this.
>>2241845
In her timeline, Trunks slipped past Supervillain Karn and forced Towa to flee, dooming Meloka to die in the crystal. Then years later, after the fall of the PTO, Karn and Chaya are fleeing from the Covenant for his past against them. Running in his old ship and running out of places to go. Karn ends up badly wounded several times, losing an eye and an arm before the Covenant eventually catch your ship. Karn desperately calls out, Towa arrives and Karn sends Chaya with her “until its over,” when Chaya makes her promise. Karn then pulls a Majin Vegeta and manages to kill two prophets and destroy a few Covenant ships, taking millions of the Covenant down with him.
>>2241851
You’d have to ask Bardock, he was the one who planted that particular tree.
>>
>>2241855
Out of curiosity, that Karn...
What was his judgement in the afterlife?
He committed a lot of evil deeds, certainly, but I've never really felt that Karn himself was truly evil. He does what he must.
>>
>>2241860
He was judged fairly for his actions, and choices. That Karn, after the deaths of Meloka, Freeza, and then the Saiyan Genocide, was a much different man. The only things he had left were his life and Chaya, and losing only one of those was acceptable. He went out a hero to those still struggling against the Covenant, his death inspired resistance to their regime instead of crushing it.
>>2241864
Its a dark future indeed. There are many brighter futures, but also ones that end up a whole lot worse. Here’s someone who knows what a much worse timeline looks like.
>>
>>2241855
Damn, punished Karn had a hard life to put it quite lightly
On the plus side, it would make for a great one-off thread, no diplomacy, no mercy, no survivors, straight into the heart of the covenant forces and RIP AND TEAR UNTIL WE'RE DONE.

well god damn.
i bet its either from this meeting or butterfly effects from towa bailing meloka out cause in the one omake where guldo saves frieza that simply didn't happen in that timeline. the saiyans died because they are still too weak.
>>
>>2241877
It was an end worthy of one known as a legendary warrior.
>>2241886
The Cold clan was no more. Even King Cold himself was killed. They sacrificed an entire solar system to do it, but they got him. They hope, because if he survived that and escaped...
>>2241887
A lot went differently in that timeline. For starters, this upcoming meeting never happened.
>>
>>2241890
honestly i'm kinda curious as to what actually went down that timeline but then again we hopefully won't have to deal with a similar timeline.
still though, next thread is definitely gonna be interesting.

You DO realize that the Precursors at their height were full-blown gods, correct? As in, universe-building architects and destroyers who had immense psychic constructs at their disposal that could crush star systems, right? And you seriously wish to unleash them (albeit in a much, much, MUCH weakened form) upon the universe once more, when their ultimate desire is to make all things suffer for eternity? I suggest we publish a book: "10 Reasons Why the Supreme Kai of Time Needs to Die - By Legendary Warrior Karn (Edited by Demon Princess Towa)"

Honestly, I'd like to see Trunks and Chaya bond, and him kinda take her under his wing and her progress to a more neutral stance.

That being said, I can't really hate the SKoT or the time patrol. As much as it may seem heartless to us, they do a necessary job in pruning timelines and getting rid of fracturing shards of possibility before they do damage to the tree.
Chronoa at least seems aware of what she's doing to a point, unlike Zeno who either doesn't understand or doesn't care.

That being said, if we really get a bug up our butt and want to sidestep all of that, I hear the God higher then Zeno likes to hang out in a place called Penguin Village.
>>
>>2243681
>>2243716
Ha. The Towas could start to spread them throughout the timelines, SKoT becomes annoyed at the propaganda campaign against her.
>>2243988
More likely to with Ace, as how the battle went. Despite Ace being the SKoT’s enforcer, she doesn’t hate him. Trunks, on the other hand. Well, Karn told her what happened to Meloka, and how it was Trunks and SKoT’s fault. And his own, too, for failing to stop Trunks.
OOC, the Time Patrol are seen as the good guys. But for the ants just trying to survive, the boot is a ruthless, evil, and uncaring monster, destroying lives randomly.
>spoiler
I wouldn’t suggest ever stepping foot into that madness.
>>
>inb4 time loli tries to chide karn

>"Just how many universes have you destroyed, monster? Good and evil alike, women and children, gods and demons. You killed all of them."
>"You're one to talk, when you've killed countless billions yourself!"
>"I answer to my lord, Frieza. As a mortal, i may be judged when i die, but you? Who is there to judge a god? Beerus? No, as far as i'm concerned you've been left unchecked, and as an outsider, as a mortal, i judge your actions to be monstrous. Those people weren't some strange outside thing that exists in theory. You can see them, you can talk to them, you can feel the warmth of their skin. They all had wills, emotions and desires of their own. They were alive. Nothing i or anyone else has done comes close to the insane genocide you've committed. You claim what you do is for the sake of those timelines, that just existing makes them unstable, but i've seen no evidence for such a thing. If i were in your position, i would do my best to limit the creation of new timelines, and stabilize any that were created. And if i didn't have the power to do so, i would work to attain it. You? You're lazy. You took the easy way out, just destroyed anything you deemed abnormal. Anything that didn't fit your status quo. You destroyed unknowable numbers of mortals because you didn't put in the work to save them. Who says that a universe shouldn't exist because something happened differently than in another? Just who do you answer to, if not yourself?"
>>
>>2244046
Eh, if Trunks is thinking about what Karn said, I can see him reaching out to the wayward future daughter.
Well, at least we don't know about Demigra. That and the Zemasu shit is more then enough excuse for the Time Patrol to keep timelines under control.
At least by Xenoverse 2, Chronoa starts to mellow out abit about the more stable alternate timelines existing.

>>2244052
>Just who do you answer to
Technically, the God of Destruction, the Angels and Zeno. Chronoa is absolutely terrified of pissing off Beerus.

Also, that speech works until we learn about shit like Demigra and Zemasu. One of which is sealed until enough timelines are created and splintered off until reality cracks from the pressure and frees him, and Zemasu was straight up the result of Trunks fucking around with timelines and threatened to infect every universe and timeline and rewrite it all to be him.
>>
>>2244095
That's exactly my point, if beerus, the angels and zeno are all okay with this, then we've got a problem with them, too.

As for Demigra, if someone like that appears, it's the clear duty of the Timekeeper to destroy him, in order to protect all of time.
Zamasu on the other hand, i don't remember being a result of trunk's time travel at all. Zamasu wanted to destroy all mortals because he found them crude and disgusting, and he used the kai's own time rings to do it. Another job for the SKoT.

There's a system in place, but it isn't being used.
The kais are supposed to protect mortals and foster the growth of their universe, but at the highest levels they're just destroying them or doing nothing instead of helping them grow. Only the very lowest kais, like king kai, are actually doing their fucking job.
The destroyers are supposed to cull threats to the universes like Zamasu, Buu or Demigras, but they're just lazy bastards that sleep all the time, and in Beerus' case, destroy harmless, innocent planets on a whim.
The angels are supposed to overlook the Kais and Destroyers, which they, do, but that's literally it. They just watch, without doing much of anything.

Everything is fucked, and i'm pissed.
>>
>>2244124
Fucking hell, this is why universe 7 has such a low mortal score.
Goddamn it, it all makes sense.

NOBODY IS DOING THEIR FUCKING JOB
>>
>>2244095
>Chronoa is absolutely terrified of pissing off Beerus.
Yet she can kill him with her cooking skills.
>>
>>2244124
Chronoa couldn't destroy him, she literally fought against him at the start and could only seal him and he got stronger during the eons in his prison. She literally got lucky when the Time Patroller was able to destroy him, because Beerus was going to start Hakai'ing shit to get rid of him.

Zamasu is a result of Trunks' Time Travel because of two reasons:
1: Trunks travelling through time was the first instance of time travel, ever. It alone created four timelines allowing the Zemasu from two timelines to meet and fuse.
2: In Trunks' timeline, the God of Destruction and Supreme Kai are dead. This allowed Zemasu to enter a timeline where there was nobody to keep him in check and actually progress with his plans.

The system is working perfectly, but Universe 7's system is flawed, mainly because Shin isn't very strong and the other four Supreme Kai were killed by Majin Buu. They actually did try to destroy Majin Buu, but he absorbed/killed all of them but Shin and if Shin had died, so would Beerus.
Beerus has carte blanche to destroy whatever the fuck he wants. His job isn't to cull threats, his job is to destroy. He sleeps alot because the destruction is meant to come in cycles, he literally has a schedule.
The Angels are suppose to report to the Grand Priest and make sure the God of Destruction is doing his job of blowing shit up.
>>
>>2244052
And your speech would of course be followed by her giving a non-answer, dismissing your entire argument as “you’re insane,” then releasing Potential Unleashed Ace on you to shut you up because she doesn’t like your opinions. If you somehow beat him, she then just erases your timeline then and there to the horror of everyone watching.
>>2244095
Trunks sees someone much like himself in Chaya, and has no idea how to convince her that what the Time Patrol did was right. Especially now, that the seed of doubt has been planted.
>Demigra
A contender for the role of Supreme Kai of Time at one point, left to spend eternity in a void without time. Not really a great place to leave a wizard. Let him hone his craft forever without dying by aging, in a dimension where he can touch literally every timeline. Good idea.
>Zamasu
Another god-complex, another bout of insanity. And morons like this is why the Omni King has a job.
>answer to
Really no one, unless that gets revealed. She’s afraid of Beerus, because his Hakai can erase anything. Perhaps with the exception of the Omni King or Grand Priest/angels.
>Trunks ruining time
Trunks was, supposedly, the first non-god to travel time, and why it became a crime for non-gods to travel time. None had managed it before. Good job Future Bulma, you’re the best.
>>2244124
They have no authority over SKoT. And by her not removing the “canon” line where Trunks changed history, admittedly for the better, changes and branches started popping up left and right all over time.
>Zamasu
He killed both the Supreme Kai and God of Destruction of U10 in one chop. At that point there was no one in his universe to stop him, the angel having gone dormant without an active God of Destruction. It would then fall to Zen-Oh to eliminate him, which he did once he was aware.
>angels
They are guides, meant to aid the Destroyers in carrying out their duties and facilitating communication between them and Zen-Oh, as well as the lesser Kais. The lesser Kais alert the angel to a threat, the angel notifies the Destroyer, then they end the problems. The angels are not for direct interference/influence in events.
>>2244139
To be fair, Kami does a good job dealing with Penguin Village and limiting the reality-warping to just there.
>>2244161
She still believes she’s a great cook. Poor Toki Toki, eating her cooking for 75 million+ years.
>>2244182
SKoT should have just let Beerus in to fight Demigra honestly. Could have ended things a lot sooner.
>Zamasu
U10’s Gowasu and Destroyer were killed by Zamasu, he had free reign in U10. I think he wiped out all mortals in U10, then moved onto U7. Luckily for Zamasu he didn’t go to U11 to get Jiren’d.
>>
>>2244182

Again, if she wasn't strong enough to destroy him, she either should have trained to become strong enough to do so before he was unsealed, or gotten the destroyer to Hakai him.
The destroyer should not be someone that goes around destroying shit at random because it pissed him off, that's an insane abuse of power that shouldn't have ever happened, a behavior that the angels should have corrected, but allowed to persist.

Trunk's time traveling is something that the SKoT should have been watching out for in the first place, and she should have stopped him after the first time he did it, but she wasn't, and she didn't.
Her one job was to watch over the flow of time and to protect it, but she wasn't even watching closely enough to prevent the most obvious time-related accident possible. She's not doing her job, and this mess is a result of that.

The supreme kai and god of destruction from trunk's timeline are dead because they didn't take care of a threat to their universe before it became great enough to destroy them both in the first place.
Again, this is what the angels are for. They should have been making sure the Kais and Destroyers do their job properly, but they don't. And now that they're dead, they've done nothing to replace them, and now as a result the problem has grown to threaten the multiverse and multiple timelines.

If the destroyer's job is merely to destroy everything, he should have destroyed the whole universe at once and been done with it, as he's fully capable of doing so.
No, there's a mortal rating for each universe for a reason. The Kais and Destroyers are meant to foster the growth of mortals, and that's not happening, so the rating is low.
>>
>>2244200
Future Shin was killed by Dabura, which immediately caused Beerus to cease existing because the lives of the Supreme Kais and the God of Destruction are linked. That's why he started culling mortals in Future Trunks' timeline.
Old Kai was never released because the Z-Sword was turned to stone by Dabura's Spit and then shattered.
>>
>>2244200
>Good job Future Bulma, you’re the best.
So, when we are adding her to our harem? She would definintly like to meet BRILLIANT SCIENTIST BARDOK.
>>
>>2244212
If Beerus had Hakai'd him it would have destroyed everything. This is a plot point in Xenoverse 1.

She was watching out for it, nobody expected humans to be able to figure out time travel though. She didn't erase it because it gave her something to hold over Trunks, giving her help in watching over the timeline. Hell, this is the reason the Time Patrol exists, because the job is too much for one Kai.

They did take care of the threat to their universe. Future Buu was never released, but as a result of that, Shin was killed. Nobody knew where Buu's Sphere was until Babidi found it.

His job isn't to destroy the whole universe, his job is to simply destroy. If Beerus tried to destroy the whole universe, he would have been erased and replaced with someone else. Only the Omni-King is allowed to decide if Universes are allowed to exist or not.

Honestly, you argue like you've not watched or played much Dragon Ball at all. Because they explain most of this shit.
>>
Gonna step out outside the character here, but overall the time patrol is actually overall a good thing for the multiverse essentially. in karns views however, he knows theres a goddess of time, and time pretty much says fuck him and his species, so while it would be best for the multiverse as a whole for the time patrol to exist, for karn hes probably gonna go full remove time patrol because they essentially stand in stark contrast to his entire reality, as far as hes aware of, in addition its probably gonna get exacerbated by the sheer fact towa is clearly gonna egg him on with future chaya and shit.
just to let the readers know, the time patrol exists essentially to keep the multiverse and time itself from going to shit, but karn is in a position to essentially say fuck time.
>>
>>2244212
Let's not forget something else: Universe 7, for an insanely long time, has had only ONE active supreme kai. The rest were dead. And old kai? He was SEALED. Sealed, by BEERUS even. Because Beerus was pissy.

Shin wasn't even fully trained, by supreme kai standards he's a fuckin newbie. He never once sought to complete that training with the aid of another universe. He never tried to recruit more supreme kais, either from the lesser kais (zamasu was a lesser kai being trained to be a supreme kai despite not being born of a golden fruit) or from other universes if he couldn't find a golden fruit from his own universe. In essence, for a ridiculously long time, the creation aspect of our universe has been running at less than 1/5 of the efficiency it SHOULD have been running at. If Beerus had the decency to release Old Kai, they could have at least had Old Kai try to finish up Shin's training, or even better, fill in one of the empty supreme kai slots.

Beerus is a fuck up, but Shin is also a fuck up.

Also, the fact that the Supreme Kai and God of Destruction only go to a meeting with each other to discuss issues and progress every ONE THOUSAND years is fucking RIDICULOUS. How long did it take Majin Buu to slaughter all but one supreme kai? A hell of a lot quicker than one thousand years, that's for fucking sure. How long was Bibidi a huge problem for? I'm betting less than a thousand years, back when he was first starting shit. That system is flawed as fuck, problems won't wait for the meeting. They need to be meeting annually at least, to discuss any new problems before they can grow to be too serious of a threat. Maybe then Bibidi and Buu wouldn't have been able to kill everyone.
>>
>>2244248
If he cannot be hakai'd, but is still a threat to the universe, the problem should go further up the chain of command.
In theory, the omni-king should be able to do anything, including severing whatever connection he has that would cause the destruction of the universe along with him, or simply sealing him forever in such a way that he cannot escape.

If she was watching out for it, she should have seen it when it happened, otherwise there was no point.
If the job was too much for a single person, she should have taken the assistance of other kais.
There are plenty of them, and she could have done so at any time over the tens of millions of years she had the job, but instead she chooses to allow a universe to exist just so that she can get help from trunks, a random mortal from another timeline, instead of any of the random mortals from her own timeline or just other kais. She's fucking stupid, lazy or insane, maybe all three.

If they properly took care of all the threats to their universe, they wouldn't have been destroyed.
And even if by some miracle they were destroyed despite properly doing their job, again, it would be a job for the angels or Zen-Oh to destroy the threat and appoint a new Grand Kai and Destroyer.

>His job isn't to destroy the whole universe, his job is to simply destroy.
No need for complicated How's and Why's, huh? Must be nice to think so simply.

>>2244265

>>2244212
Her not ending Demigra almost cost her everything. As far as Destroyers go, they have criteria(I’m assuming) for destroying planets. One of those is of course the Guardianless ones that can no longer support life.
Trunks travelling through time had the unforseen effect of splitting the timeline into two divergent ones, the new branch Trunks created expanding with every choice every being made in it. Then Cell traveled there, and Trunks traveled there again, and now time is a massive clusterfuck of alternate timelines.
>>2244214
Robbing Future Trunks of Elder Kai’s Unleashed Potential form is one of the biggest letdowns of the Goku Black arc.
>>2244223

tldr version:
Beerus is an arrogant dick, and Shin is an untrained newbie with no help and no knowledge of even most of his job. As such, U7s development lagged far behind other universes. With creation at less than 1/4th, Beerus had fuck all to do so became lazier and lazier.

Zeno would have erased the universe. Straight up, do not pass go, everything is erased. He's shown that with Zemasu. That's if they even gotten to Zeno, seeing as he's just as likely to erase whoever's bothering him.

She did see when it happened, she says so herself. She chose not to erase it, because it got her an assistant.
The other Kais have their own job to do, you can't just go up so someone at the office and tell them to do your work for you and still get paid.
She does eventually get help from mortals from all the timelines, this is the Time Patrol. Are you even thinking about what you're saying? Before Trunks started time travelling, however, there wasn't a need for it.

Again, the biggest threat to the universe at that point in time was Buu. Who successfully killed four out of five supreme kai, and then was sealed and nobody knew where the fuck he was until Babidi found him. The second that happened, the Supreme Kai was all over that shit.
And again, it's not the angels job to destroy threats or appoint Supreme Kais, and Zeno is literally so far above it, he doesn't care. If there is a threat that requires him, his reaction is to erase the universe entirely.

>No need for complicated How's and Why's, huh? Must be nice to think so simply.
Simple is best.
If there is a threat that requires a God of Destruction, then he'll probably take care of it, sure. The problem is, you end up in the Zeno situation again. Out of everything we've seen, the only threat that would have likely required Beerus was Buu.

Zeno does not have to straight up erase a universe every time there's an issue.
He's just child-like, so before you ask him to solve the issue, you need to tell him how he should solve it and why, in simple, clear terms.

"Hey Zen-Oh, this demigras guy is being a big jerk, but we can't destroy him without destroying all of time, which would be terrible! Could you help us out by sealing him away forever without destroying him? If you do, i'll play some games with you, and show you this delicious food called ice cream!"

As for the rest of that, i've already explained all of this.
When buu was created, he was a threat the kais could not contain, and at that point they should have contacted their destroyer to remove him. They didn't, and they were all killed.

If she saw it happen and did nothing about it, then she's not doing her job, and continuing not to do anything about it for the sake of an assistant she could have gotten anywhere else while still doing her job is retarded.
There are an infinite number of ways she could have handled trunks' time travelling and she picked the worst possible one.

If she saw it coming, she should have stopped it.
If she didn't see it coming, she should have had enough help to have been able to.
If it was impossible to see coming until it happened, she should have taken care of it after the fact, by her own logic, destroying it and trunks to prevent further issues.

She's piss poor at her job, and you might be dumb.

Getting sent there could possibly happen, but why would you be sent to that time for? Its not like there’s any strong fighters around anymore.
>>
>>2244351
And then you get erased by either Zeno for bothering him, or the Grand Priest for trying to bother Zeno.
Also, you assume Zeno cares about all of time.

That's assuming Bibidi's magic wasm't hiding Buu from the Supreme Kais, or that interaction wasn't the first time they learned how much of a threat Buu actually was. Heck, when Broly destroyed South Galaxy it got passed down the line all the way to North Kai, who told Goku to check it out.

The problem is that we don't know how far her ability to view the timelines extends. Maybe she looked ahead and realized shit needed to happen that way so the rest of Dragon Ball could happen.
I mean, what if she had erased all the other timelines? Then the one where Trunks was dead and shit was fucked would have been the only one, and Zemasu goes completely unnoticed until he's too powerful to handle or hell even before that, allows Babidi to revive Buu without anyone to oppose him.
Allowing the alternations to happen and taking Trunks on as an assistant kills two birds with one stone. It keeps U7 moving along outside of a dead end and gives her help in doing her job.

She does a fine job keeping everything together, considering and calling me dumb is unnecessary.

>Instead of discussing things, I better just call him stupid. That'll show him I'm right.

Except for the fact that Beerus, Whis and Grand Priest have all said that he would erase people for upsetting him or saying the wrong thing.
The fact that Goku is able to talk to him at all is a massive surprise for everyone, since they all assumed he'd just get straight up erased.
That's assuming you get to talk to him at all and the Grand Priest and Zeno's guards don't destroy you for trying.

Zeno has also shown he wouldn't care, hell originally all the universes with low mortal scores were just going to be wiped out. The only reason they have a chance not to be is because Goku convinced him to hold a tournament instead, and even then everyone who loses the tournament is straight up erased without any remorse.

Again, this shit is explained and shown in the show.
>>
>>2244401
Even stronger and stronger foes.
>>
>>2244428
I've been discussing this with you for like an hour, you just keep repeating the same points over and over.

The reason he doesn't like anyone but goku talking to him is that goku's the only one who talks to him and treats him like the child he is, instead of cowtowing and begging forgiveness over every little thing out of fear instead of actually interacting with him. He's bored out of his fucking mind.

Again, tedious how's and why's to everything, but you like it simple, so don't worry about it.
>>
>>2244443
Really? Seems like the various points have changed throughout the entire discussion to me.

So, your reasoning to be able to get Zeno to help is to straight up be Goku, something that still results in getting universes erased? Good plan.

I do like it simple, because I can guarantee that Toriyama didn't think about this too hard. But no, if you know better then the writer, please go into those tedious hows and whys.
>>
>>2244462
No, you dumbass.
To get zeno's help, you just talk to him and treat him like a normal fucking person based on his personality, and then be sensible in how you ask for his help instead of just leaving it to his imagination.

The simplest thing here is you.
Guess what, faggot? We're going off-script, whether toriyama thought about something or not doesn't matter when it comes up in this quest. The writer at this point is GD, not toriyama.
>>
>>2244475
>I have no actual argument, better fall back on insults like a child.
But just to be fair.

That's if you can actually get to him to ask him things, know how he actually wants to be treated, and can get around the appearance of telling him how to do his job. When more then likely, you'd get erased before you got there, or ignored and he erases the universe to solve the problem anyways.

Actually, what Toriyama thought about does matter, since it's his framework we're playing with. He's the one who set up how the deities of Dragon World works, the entire thing you're bitching about.
Sure the writer of the quest is GD, but we're still playing in Toriyama's world.
>>
>>2244492
I've been giving you my argument AND calling you a dumbass, because you are one.
Pretending i'm not giving an argument or that i've been flipflopping on points isn't going to work, this is one on one and i know what you're doing.

Karn doesn't care how people want to be treated.
You've seen how he acts towards the SKoT, towards towa, towards frieza and king cold.
He treats people how he feels they deserve to be treated regardless of station, based on who they are and what they've done.

>Actually, what Toriyama thought about does matter
No, it doesn't.
You don't know exactly what toriyama's thoughts were, so all we have to play around with is publicly available information, the same shit everyone else knows. The specifics, like this, are left up to GD and the players.
>>
>>2244501
Really? Because I mean, if you were as articulate as you imagine you are, or your points were as sure as you think, why do you need the insults? You're just trying to get me mad until I either leave the discussion, where you declare you win, or start throwing insults back, where you declare you win.

>Karn doesn't care how people want to be treated.
Karn would be immediately erased. But then again, we're not talking about Karn. Hell, we've never been talking about Karn. But good on you for bringing him up.

>You don't know exactly what toriyama's thoughts were, so all we have to play around with is publicly available information
You're right, which is what I've been doing. You on the other hand have been assuming everything, from how the Hierarchy of Gods work to "Why didn't Beerus just win all the fights in DBZ?"

>The specifics, like this, are left up to GD and the players.
The specifics are left up to GD to a point. Things that can reasonably be changed due to an alternate timeline, or a different upbringing, sure.
The Kais, the Angels, Zeno, Trunks, the Hierarchy of Gods and how Dragon World and it's timelines work are all the same.
>>
>>2244521
I don't care if you think i'm articulate or not, whether insult me or not, and i don't care whether you leave or not. I think you're dumb regardless.

>Karn would be immediately erased. But then again, we're not talking about Karn. Hell, we've never been talking about Karn. But good on you for bringing him up.
Maybe he would, but i think he wouldn't. Depending on the situation, he would go into the conversation neutral, until he figured out what zeno was like, and would then speak to him accordingly.
And yes, we're talking about karn. We're talking about the gods and their behavoirs, we're talking about how karn sees them and their behaviors and we're talking about what karn would do about them.

>You're right, which is what I've been doing. You on the other hand have been assuming everything, from how the Hierarchy of Gods work to "Why didn't Beerus just win all the fights in DBZ?"
That's exactly right, i'm filling in the blanks based on all the information available to me, just like you, just like GD and just like everyone else. These are the things that make the most sense to me (and at least one other) based on everything i know. These aren't random guesses, they're assumptions based on all of the information available to me.

>The specifics are left up to GD to a point. Things that can reasonably be changed due to an alternate timeline, or a different upbringing, sure.
The Kais, the Angels, Zeno, Trunks, the Hierarchy of Gods and how Dragon World and it's timelines work are all the same.
GD could change anything he wanted, including the framework. He could decide right now that zeno just doesn't exist, change the hierarchy entirely. The players and their desires also influence GD's choices regarding changes to the series, it's not just his own personal preference. Don't forget that this is a dragonball quest where we fight wookies and terminators, because GD decided it would be fun.
>>
>>2244521
We have a Doomguy as a pseudo God of Destruction whose power is somwhere around Zeno, but a little bit lower.
We have Gods of death sleeping somwhere. Our universe is full of fucked up shit that doesnt make a lot of sence.
Stop it with " This is Toryiama stuff we are the official relase."
>>
>>2244531
>Maybe he would, but i think he wouldn't. Depending on the situation, he would go into the conversation neutral, until he figured out what zeno was like, and would then speak to him accordingly.
Nah, we both know he'd act like Karn, fail multiple rolls and end up erased barring extreme GM fiat.

>And yes, we're talking about karn. We're talking about the gods and their behavoirs, we're talking about how karn sees them and their behaviors and we're talking about what karn would do about them.
We have never been talking about Karn. We've been talking about how the SKoT works, how the angels and GoD work, and how Zeno works.

>These are the things that make the most sense to me (and at least one other) based on everything i know. These aren't random guesses, they're assumptions based on all of the information available to me.
It's amusing how you can realize that, then sit there and insult me for not agreeing with you.

>GD could change anything he wanted, including the framework. He could decide right now that zeno just doesn't exist, change the hierarchy entirely.
Then we wouldn't be playing a Dragon Ball Quest, we'd be playing something like Dragon Ball.

>Don't forget that this is a dragonball quest where we fight wookies and terminators, because GD decided it would be fun.
We fight "Terminators" and "Wookiees" who have been altered to better fit in the Dragon Ball framework. I mean, I sure as hell don't remember wookiee flying around shooting Ki blasts in the movies.

>>2244532
I never said we are the official release, I said the basic framework is the same. Both of those can be maneuvered easily into the framework.
>>
>>2244554

>Nah, we both know he'd act like Karn, fail multiple rolls and end up erased barring extreme GM fiat.
Fair point.

>We have never been talking about Karn. We've been talking about how the SKoT works, how the angels and GoD work, and how Zeno works.
We've been talking about how the gods work AND karn's opinions regarding them. Karn's point of view is important, because he's who we're playing as.

>It's amusing how you can realize that, then sit there and insult me for not agreeing with you.
Yes, i think your opinion is wrong. If you thought mud tasted like chocolate, i'd also call you an idiot and say you were wrong.

>Then we wouldn't be playing a Dragon Ball Quest, we'd be playing something like Dragon Ball.
>We fight "Terminators" and "Wookiees" who have been altered to better fit in the Dragon Ball framework. I mean, I sure as hell don't remember wookiee flying around shooting Ki blasts in the movies.

What point are you trying to make here? Is it "at what point is this no longer dragonball" or some stupid shit like that? If i ask you what the colour red is, are you going to ask "what is red really?"
Do you even have a point or do you just like to argue?
>>
>>2244570
>We've been talking about how the gods work AND karn's opinions regarding them.
We have never been talking about Karn. Please, point out in our discussion where we were talking about Karn.

>Yes, i think your opinion is wrong. If you thought mud tasted like chocolate, i'd also call you an idiot and say you were wrong.
Nice false equivalency. Then again, if you want to act like a child, who am I to stop you?

>What point are you trying to make here? Is it "at what point is this no longer dragonball" or some stupid shit like that?
Surely you know. I mean according to you I'm an idiot, so it should be easy for you to understand the point I'm trying to make.

You bring up a good point though, so let's talk about that. At what point is this no longer Dragon Ball?
>>
>>2244599
>We have never been talking about Karn. Please, point out in our discussion where we were talking about Karn.
This whole conversation (not just between me and you) started off because we were talking about how pissed karn would be about time loli killing meloka and everyone else.

>Nice false equivalency. Then again, if you want to act like a child, who am I to stop you?
That's not a false equivalency. You seem to have twisted ideas about what a kaioshin and a destroyer are supposed to be, about why they exist. Your opinion, from what i can see, is blatantly wrong.
I've been sitting here, watching clips of dragonball super all this time, and all the little quips from various characters has only cemented my theories.
>Zamasu: You are a mortal, yet you've attained power that surpasses even gods. You are the personification of the failure of the gods who created this universe! https://youtu.be/92wk0cNckOA
Beerus: This is your fault! You're always taking the backseat, saying it's pointless unless mortals develop their planet's level on their own!
>Shin: You're the one who's asleep all the time! https://youtu.be/JEniY1fF_NQ?t=187

>Surely you know. I mean according to you I'm an idiot, so it should be easy for you to understand the point I'm trying to make.
No no, i'm an idiot too, so go ahead and explain it to me in great detail. Tell me exactly what point you're trying to argue.

>You bring up a good point though, so let's talk about that. At what point is this no longer Dragon Ball?
The moment nothing from dragonball remains within it.

That's enough autism in one day for me, both of you lads.

So, when are we going to work on pic related with super saiyan transformations?
>>
>>2244628
Yeah, i need to sleep so i can wake up in... an hour. Fuck.
And now i have to drive hundreds of miles.
>>
>>2244625
>This whole conversation (not just between me and you) started off because we were talking about how pissed karn would be about time loli killing meloka and everyone else.
That may have been the trigger, but we never talked about Karn.

>That's not a false equivalency.
Sure it is. Someone believing Mud tastes like Chocolate has no equivalence to differing opinions on how Dragon Ball works.

>No no, i'm an idiot too, so go ahead and explain it to me in great detail.
That's not what you suggested earlier, from your comments you suggest you about me in depth, so you shouldn't need it explained.

>The moment nothing from dragonball remains within it.
By that idea, we're playing a Star Wars Quest.
>>
>>2244628
You can do it with Super Saiyan forms too, Vegeta flits in and out of SSGSS when he strikes in the manga.
>>
>>2244645
I'm aware.
Toriyama totally forgot about flickering for the tournament, though.
>>
>>2244670
Well yeah, it's that one cool thing that shows up for one fight, then never again.

It was stated in the manga, could be just a shitty translation though.
>>
>>2244835
That's definitely a shitty translation. What the fuck, man. That's the worst quality scan and translation I've ever seen.

Why would he even append "whoops i goofed" instead of just fixing it?
And what's with the fucking -di and changing 'bibi' to 'bebi' for bibidy?

Where did you even find this pile of trash?
>>
>>2244840
Well fuck, I goofed and wrote 'bibidy' instead of bibidi, shit.
>>
>>2244835
that TL makes my eyes bleed.
theres decent TL's of DB/DBZ out there, they do exist.

Here have the Viz one then. Which still shows the same, aka Bibidi brought Buu to earth and got killed by the supreme kai.

I dont even know why I'm searching through the manga just to find the proof about it.
>>
To put an end to that argument, here’s how it’ll work here:

First we have all the DB/Z/S/GT stuff, if I haven’t changed something assume it works as it does there. Things work here as they do in those works unless/until I change them.

And also, 30 minute warning
>>
>>2244982
It's time to get fucked over by the Prophets, I wonder what they will demand for attacking them? Hopefully it's just a fight of champions which would be the current Arbiter or Chieftain of the Jiralhanae vs. Karn
>>
>>2244386
We can take Trunks mom for a ride in space for shits and giggles. Imagine him teleporting to our ship and seeing his mom on her knees fixing our stuff.
>>
Episode 29 is up and running here:
>>2245004
>>
>>2244554
Bitch, some of Karn's best rolls have been charisma based, our dick size, and how well we fuck Meloka. Karn would be the Goku of this universe and hang out with Zeno just fine.
