You are a Combat Engineer under the employment of the CIS. When the War started you were 'hired' by the military and slated to serve on the frontlines. Supporting the idiotic droids and trying to not die to the damned clones.

You are now a Jedi Killer and completed your mission on top of that. As a reward in addition to a large bonus(which you spent on personal upgrades and antique droids for your collection). You were given time off and thus you went back home. To a city world of importance to the CIS. you live in the Warehouse section with your droid collection that would make a droid museum jealous.

You were in the midst of repairing some droids and installing upgrades when an alarm rang out citywide. Invasion.

Just your fucking luck. The Clone 'liberators' have arrived and with how important this world is no doubt they got Jedi with them. You figured the Clones would have been too busy defending but looks like a counteroffensive as started and of course they had to target your home while you were present.

Realizing the situation you tapped into the holonet and connected to the military network with your credentials to get an idea of what is going on.

The Clone fleet is currently engaged with the droid fleet hanging in orbit who are based at the space station. The clone ships are bombarding the station from afar while fighters engage in between. With the CIS fleet engaged the Clones were taking advantage of the distraction as troop carriers made their way towards to the planet. The only thing stopping them is the many vultures and defenses on the planet itself.

You're not sure how many Jedi are present but given how you can see some insanely skilled starfighters its safe to say there are Jedi among them.

Troublesome. The droid forces are splintering trying to guard the space station and the planet itself from the Clone Invasion Fleet. The Jedi being the cunts they are are leading the Clones to take advantage of the fracturing droid forces.

The only good news is the many foundries located in the world and the vast stores of resources to produce droids. Throw in the built defenses and the clones should be slowed. Unfortunately, even someone like you can see the droid fleet is falling apart and there is Jedi leading them.

Obviously the Clones want to take this world away from the CIS. After all the cities here produce lots of wealth and goods for the Trade Federation. It wasn't hard to build some droid foundries and add troops on top of that. Once the Space Station falls once the planet is blockaded people will start to starve and resources will be cut off. Then so long as the clones can kill enough droids and keep them from being repaired.

Eventually, the resources to build new droids will be exhausted and more importantly the people will begin to starve. At that point all the Clones have to do is starve you out.

No need to invade the cities completely. Just keep attacking to exhaust the droid troops and keep the blockade up to prevent resupply.

...Bastards.

Fortunately, those idiots seem to be forgetting the presence of those like Yours Truly. The clones are obviously going to prioritize taking the planetary ship defenses in order to keep their blockade safe. Which is no doubt what those troop carriers are taking the risk to target.

Already you can hear the call to arms and droid foundries being overclocked. Engineers are being called in to perform repairs, but engineers got to eat and it's only a matter of time before the panic among the populace start exhausting what little supplies are present.

The Clones will move during the panic to take out as many defenses as they can before the droid ground troops can deploy properly.

You obviously can't let the clones win. Your home is filled to the brim with questionable droids and illegal cybernetics. Ever since you agreed to join the military you been granted access to all kinds of controlled and illegal goods. Which you took advantage of to build the droid collection of your dreams.

With the CIS fondness for cybernetics for their living troops, it's been paradise for someone like you.

In the old days you never would have been allowed access to such droids and more importantly the cybernetics you now have full access to.

If the clones win not only will they strip you of your droid collection they'll also lock you up for your illegal cybernetics and 'crimes against the Republic'. Much of your personal agony you have no choice but to...activate your antique droids. Ranging from assassin to combat.

Goddamn, those fucking clones and Jedi. Supporting the corrupt Republic and foul Jedi Order. Leaving you no choice...there will be no mercy from you. This is all or nothing.

You can't afford to lose. All you gotta do is hold out until the CIS reinforcements arrive. There is no way they'll be willing to allow such an important world fall to the Republic.

The industries and wealth this world produces are far too important.

So much to your agony...you push the button.

Old combat droids dating back to the Sith Empire and Old Republic War era flicker back to life. As your warehouse enters lockdown.

As you run programs to make sure their software was ready and diagnostics you finally get your orders.

>Combat Engineer you are hereby called back to duty. Apologies for calling your vacation to end so soon.

Clone troop carriers are targeting planetary defenses. Droids are deploying but panic is slowing the deployment down. Engineers are to head to workplaces to begin droid repairs immediately. Combat Engineers are to deploy immediately.

Orders are to hold the defenses as long as possible.

Your orders are to head to docking and stop the clones from deploying from their troop carriers for as long as possible. When the docks fall retreat to the following defensive positions.

Jedi presence is confirmed. Currently believed to be at least 2 Jedi confirmed. One leading the fleet and the other leading the incoming invaders.

Build as many defenses as possible and slaughter as many of the enemies as possible. Slow them down as much as you can. The more time you buy means the more defenses we can build and more the reinforcements can deploy.

Bonus Objectives below
>Protect friendly ships at the docks until they are fully unloaded
(reward is additional supplies/troops and more time for actions)
>Kill the Jedi
(special reward)
>No Survivors
(Bonus payment for every kill)
>Bring em down, prevent clone ships from landing
(fewer enemy troops per an attack wave and additional time bought before enemy attack waves at fallback defenses)

Personal Objectives
>Defend the Homefront
Keep the Clones from destroying your home
(reward is additional upgrade personal and special troops)
>Want that lightsaber
Take a Jedi Lightsaber for yourself
(reward is your own personal lightsaber)
>Secrets to Keep
Prevent the Clones from discovering your workshop
(reward is ???)

You rush over to the nearby docks only to see chaos. Ships trying to dock and unload from the space station. Ships trying to flee before the fighting makes it impossible. People trying to escape and Droids trying to deploy.

Chaos.

Not even any additional defenses have been deployed yet because of it. If this keeps up the clones are going to have a cakewalk and you'll be forced to fall back far too soon. If the clones easily take these docks...it will provide them with a major beachhead. Allowing more enemies to pour into the city.

You order the droids to clear the crowd.

"Evacuate the premise immediately or we will open fire," warns the droids as they try to clear the crowd. Some people listened and tried to move out of the way. Those who didn't ate blaster fire. As the droids raised up their weapons and opened fired. Soon people panicked and pushed their way out to escape. Either into ships or out of the dockyards. Either way, a win-win.

Soon using brute force the droids successfully managed to clear the crowds away and did well so long as you ignored the odd corpse. Now having space to work with you finally got see what you had to work with. The docks were pretty typical. Meant to load and unload people as well as cargo. With the war, there have been some new defenses set up. Mostly in the form of droid deployment in the nearby security office.

Luckily there are some materials to work with and you have droids to order around. Plus you still have time before the Clones completely breakthrough the space defenses and start dropping down.

B1s and OOM series. The Clones won't be able to disable the OOM unless they take out every single signal boosters and all HQs. Which is much easier said than done because OOM largely loses its greatest weakness when out in the field due to their vulnerable signal relays. In a fortified position, they don't have to worry about their signal relays being so easily destroyed.

Especially so in a confused urban landscaping.

B2s and other droids may join you overtime. If you spend time repairing damaged droids they will join you or you can perform upgrades on preexisting droids to boost their performance.

If you are successful in keeping your home safe you will gain access to 'exotic' droid units from your own personal collection. Otherwise, your limited to your sole modified HK model that you pieced together that serves as your bodyguard. The HK model is slightly insane wether due to not getting mindwiped enough or simply due to being pieced together from so many different HK lines you can't say.

you can also attempt to hack nearby droids and they will join your side. Useful for boosting your defenses by taking over droids in nearby buildings and facilities. Not to mention you can perform illegal modifications to civilian models and tinker with their programming to militarize them.

Currently you do not have any B2s or other kinds of droids.

Good news is your not solely stuck with idiotic B1s as you OOM series present as well.

You order the droids to build barricades. Ranging from scrap piles, construction materials, to cargo containers filled with junk. Really whatever you can find that can block a blaster round and hopefully survive getting blown up. Barricades are thrown up near choke points, in hallways, and even outside/around landing zones. The actual good quality barricades you pull from the Security you had to carefully consider where to place beside the ones you mismatched together.

While your droids went to work and you yourself personally oversaw the construction. A few surviving shuttles landed and disgorged their cargo/troops. Including a couple droid carriers that land to disgorge reinforcements before lifting off deeper into the city. Including among the ships that landed were damaged Vulture Droids and other combat ships. Others just ignored you as they flew past. Speed was of the essence. The faster they unloaded and fled. The more materials and troops you could enjoy.

From the heavy fighting up above it looks like the Clones are closing in the space station. Meaning their first troop carriers will be inbound soon if the Confederate Defensive lines have been pushed back that far. It won't be long before the first troop carriers slip past and unleash their clones upon the city. Including your own position.

Fortunately, you finally gained some reinforcements and materials to work with.

Gained even more B1s. Gained some B2s and a few Droidkas.
Acquired (damaged) Vultures and (crippled) combat ships.

Right as you were about to order your next project sirens went off in the station. Looking up you couldn't help but frown. Clone Star Fighters were descending from above and started to attack.

Meaning that the transports they are escorting can't be far behind.

Luckily your Vultures deployed themselves and turrets went live before firing upon them. These turrets aren't normal turrets thanks to being piloted by the far superior OOM series. They can actually aim worth a damn and won't so easily be outsmarted.

Unfortunately, your Vulture supply is quite limited if you ignore the damaged vultures that struggled to even land. Even worse the trajectory of the Clone Fighters clearly indicated they were heading right towards you.

No doubt planning to blast apart your defenses and take the port to be a beachhead for their own forces. Something that you couldn't allow for as long as possible.

"Throw up some more AA NOW!" You order as you dash towards some crates labeled 'AA'. Which mostly turned out to be some heavy blasters cannons and missile launchers. Not what you were looking for exactly. Doing some more digging you pulled some crates labeled AA turrets and started to assemble them as quickly as possible. With the lack of time fortifying them was tricky and instead of building proper controls you ended up splicing some wires together to directly connect to whatever droid you plan to use for it(mostly OOM). This saved time albeit someone like you won't be able to easily use it but it afforded you time to weld on more armor plates and build more of them. Other weapons you connected onto buildings, walls, and even broken windows. Weapons were entrenched and you seriously considered tearing out droid brains and connecting them to some turrets.

AA weapons were handed out to the droids to the rest of the droids as they worked in teams to load and fire upon the incoming ships.

The vultures meanwhile despite being badly outnumbered(since most went to space and died or fell back wounded). Unexpectedly put up serious fight delaying the incoming clone fighters despite being outnumbered. Such a fight, in fact, the Clones had a hard time targeting your own defenses being forced to dodge wildly out of the way from the seemingly infuriated vultures and their constant harassing.

Combine that with the other defenses coming online throughout the city and soon the skies were filled up with blaster fire and missiles coming from below. As you looked at nearby skyscrapers to see droids and people setting up defenses and other defense systems firing upon the invaders.

This didn't stop the clones as more of their ships descended and they fired back. Behind the starfighters you could see the Bombers and troop carriers arrive. They started to take heavy losses but as the bombers started their runs defenses started being dropping like flies, screams emerged, and buildings collapsed.

The fighters meanwhile dodged and started taking out what remained of the Vultures and taking shots at other threats. The troop carriers meanwhile charged towards the landing zones...including obviously the spaceport you were currently stationed.

You were running out of time before the first waved arrived and it was only going to get worse...

Thanks to the cover fire of your current defenses several friendly ships docked and unloaded at the port. Their pursuers were forced to disengage.

meanwhile in the space upon a certain space station.

"Defensive lines 235-b to Y-36 are breaking."

"Jedi spotted in Corridor 34-2b."

"Vulture droids down 65%!"

"Planetary defensive lines are breaking down. Reports planetside indicate the presence of starfighters, bombers, and troop carriers with more pouring in!"

"Friendly battleships are retreating from the star system. Defensive lines around the space station are completely falling apart! We can't hold them off!"

"Shield Generator 5A has been disabled from the inside by boarders!"

A Commander watched the space battle outside and seemingly ignoring all the constant and usually desperate reports pouring in before replying slowly but with much authority.

"Redirect all available ships to the planet's defense. Abandon the defense of the space station entirely and attacking the enemy Fleet. Crippled ships are to withdraw. Damaged ships are to redirect towards the planet and land while providing support."

"Buy as much time for the surface to prepare as much as possible. Order all available and damaged personal as well as ships currently on station to escape to the planet's surface. Regroup with the ground defenders there. Leave some anti Boarders to slow them down and make them thing we plan to hold this station as long as possible."

"Redirect all Fighters to retreat to the planet's surface. Order bombers to deploy in the last defensive line around the space station and planet to run bombing runs. Surviving bombers out of ammo may retreat to the surface."

"Finally someone brings me my last bottle of wine and prepare for the self-destruct sequence. Do not engage the Jedi on board and prepare to announce my Surrender," grunting the Commander walked away from the view of the losing battle and sat down to enjoy a glass if wine before he pulled out a device to hand off to a Tactical Droid.

"Once I am formally captured and taken off this soon to be death trap activate the self destruct sequence. They will no doubt attempt to disable the self-destruct ability of this station and use it as a staging point, but this entire time I've ordered some of the engineers to set up a contingency for such an act. They won't realize it until its already too late and BOOM. Take out all those on board and many of the enemy ships placed nearby," orders the CIS Commander to the Tactical droid. "Also make sure to take this with you in order to keep them from mindwiping you. Otherwise, all my hard work in teaching you will have gone to waste." He continues handing over something else.

"...Your odds of survival are slim with the planned self destruct of the space station. The ship carrying you will likely be too close and also be destroyed." Warns the Tactial Droid.

"That is certainly a distinct possibility," admits the Commander with a sigh. "But so long as I am on board they won't rest easy and suspect I'm up to something. Who knows maybe I'll get lucky and we'll be far enough away to survive."

Need more defenses before those bastards arrive. Seeing those bombers and fighters attacking you took another look at the building and barricades before making up your mind.

Some extra fortifying would be very good to have. Fortify the walls to prevent them from blowing a hole through to circumvent the barricades so easily. Fortify the windows to give more droids good cover to shoot from. Fortify the building so maybe it would be less likely to fall on top of your head should the bombers make a run on your position.

You thus order the droids around to fortify well...everything. Throwing up additional armor plating, building additional support beams, reinforcement beams, scrap metal plating, and really whatever you could possibly find to make your defenses harder to break.

Right in time for the first wave of clones to arrive. As the surviving vultures make for a hard landing and clamber away. The Clone Fighters make some nearby passes firing upon you forcing the droids to dunk their heads and confusing the turrets. All in time for the troop carriers to land and disgorge their troops who open fire upon the defenses and charge forward.

As the droids soon give their response and fire back. Grenades are thrown, explosions occur, troops die. The clones might have as well as been droids with thier lack of care about their dead. Wounded clones were dragged back on board the ship as the clones struggle to find cover. Much less form a beachhead.

The droids for their part finally show that in great number their collective intelligence is something else. Their overlapping waves of blaster fire tear apart the clones who make their push. Desperate to reach cover but forced to die as they are surrounded by all sides.

Even their ship starts to spark and turn red from the overwhelming firepower as it does its best to defend against the droids firepower.

You watched from the security office pleased to see that so far the defenses are holding. As the clone troop transport finally gives up and attempts to lift off with the survivors. It doesn't get far before being taken out by the Turrets. Taking all the surviving and wounded clones down with it as crashes into the city below.

Giving you a precious breather before the next wave arrives...

Seeing the opening some friendly ships dive down to make use of the port before its too late. Disgorging their troops and cargo, you find out from them about the space station being abandoned almost entirely to the enemy.

A disaster in the waiting since such a foothold would be devastating against the efforts to hold the planet's surface if the enemy has such a staging point. It officially means the space battle is almost completely lost.

Now the only thing standing between the clones and the planet is the ragged remnants of the CIS Fleet.

All these meh rolls so far.

Well, at least they aren't shit rolls.

----
You order the droids to lay some mines. Covering the passages and landing zones with explosive booby trap goodness. The mines were then carefully concealed but knowing those clones they probably been trained to spot mines, but hopefully you got enough droids to shoot at them they won't be able to afford to watch their step.

As mines were put down you noticed there was something different about the incoming wave of ships descending down to the planet...a lot of them were friendly Confederate vessels. Many of which were damaged which was when you got word that they were evacuating the space station to fallback onto the planet itself.

Not a good sign but for now the reinforcement waves will be larger until the evacuation ends, but they also warn that the Clone Fleet is invading the space station and is close to completely overwhelming the planetary ship defenses. Meaning soon the bulk of the clone forces will start to descend and there will be no more breaks in between.

Even worse you can already see many breaches within the defensive lines given the number of troop carriers, fighters, and bombers are pouring in. While many of the city's initial defenses were being systematically overwhelmed and destroyed. As bombers blew weaponry placements up and starfighters tore apart what remained of the CIS air support. With troop carriers unloading wherever they could find a good spot to land.

Soon there won't be any CIS Air Support and the enemy will have complete Air superiority.

Sure enough, you can see enemy troop transport descend towards you with heavy escort. Your AA does its best to fend them off but at this point they were being targeted heavily and the troop transport relied upon their quantity to see them through. Making it difficult to take them many of them out.

Even worse the enemy has noticed the friendly ships attempting to land and disgorging themselves. Bombers are inbound and starfighters have found themselves a juicy target.

If you lose those friendly ships that means losing everything on board too that would have otherwise helped you. Pondering this you find yourselves torn as to what you should do...

You order the droids to provide cover fire for the incoming friendlies. Turrets turn away from the incoming transport and droids raised up their weapons to unleash overwhelming firepower towards the friendlies. Forcing clone starfighters to veer off and suppressing their pursuit.

In exchange the Clone Troop Transports who able to charge forwards largely unmolested. Soon they land and the droids find themselves torn between supporting the incoming friendly ships and taking down clones.

Fortunately, those mines came in handy as the clones charged forward attempting to take advantage of the distracted droids encountered explosive land mines. Forcing their charge to slow and make them tread carefully.

The friendly ships meanwhile docked and began unloading. Allowing the previously distracted droids to focus on the clones once more.

This time however quite a few clone troop carriers had landed and fighting is intense. Even worse with how dug in the clones are now it's likely they'll be able to hold out until the next wave of reinforcements arrives to reinforce them.

Luckily the barricades and mines have seen to it the that the clones are pinned down and their assault is slowed. With the B2s and Droidkas rolled in the clones soon found themselves in trouble, but EMP grenades and explosives were tossed by the clones. Attempting to blow a hole in the defenses.

Sadly for the Clones your a combat engineer and precisely reinforced everything you could find so as to survive such low level explosives, but sadly you hadn't the time yet to reinforce them enough to survive a bomber run.

As such the battleline so far is holding. You watched everything through the feeds in the security Office when a OOM Officer droid reported in.

"Sir Droid troop carriers and transports have arrived to reinforce us from the ground. They dropped off some troops and vehicles. In exchange, they took away some of the materials we have acquired."

"Any new orders from them?"

"Negative, but they have warned us there is more than 2 Jedi present. They think perhaps they are Masters and apprentices."

"What have they offered us for reinforcements?"

"Besides vehicles, heavy droids, B1s and B2s. They have dropped off spider droids, light octuptarra droid, crab droid, and sadly no heavy vehicles."

"About time we got some big guns. Any artillery or AA?"

"Negative," denies the OOM officer. "Such heavy weapons have been kept by Command and Strageticly placed. Escape routes are being constructed throughout the city for harassment and roads are being booby trapped. Ground is expected to be lost Sir," explains the OOM.

...Which isn't something you can allow. Your 'warehouse' is unlucky enough to be placed near the spacedocks. Even worse is the existence of your hidden workshop. You can't afford to let it be found by the Clones. Otherwise, they'll want you even more dead then you are already ever since you killed that Jedi.

Not to mention the very thought of losing your entire droid collection is downright hellish. It took you forever to collect all those droids and longer still to repair them. You even had to buy your own fabricators to build custom spare parts yourself. Trying to find antique droid parts was downright hellish before that. Your own HK model is an excellent example of what happens having been pieced together from multiple lines.

Speaking of which HK has been oddly...quiet and not murderous. Looking over you could see the droid cackling madly as it proceeded to continue stringing a bunch of thermal detonators together.

"Here Jedi Jedi Jedi come soon so I can kill you all," it keeps muttering.

"...Don't you want to kill some Clones?"

"Eh murdering those meatbags isn't as satisfying. After all, they are all the exact same. Where is the variety? I fucking hate clones. Worst kind of meatbag besides Jedi." The droid complains. "Kill one or all of them. All the same. Worse then Jedi in regards to boring. Why can't we kill other meatbags instead?"

"We are on a friendly planet and those would be civilians."

"Bah civilians soldiers all the same. All meatbags. Even Jedi meatbags but at least Jedi are most fun to kill meatbags. Meatbags deserve all death."

"..."

"Oh right not you though Boss. Your like...half meatbag. Your only half as bad as those other meat bags. Which makes you my favorite!"

"Any idea about how to kill all them Clones as quickly as possible?"

HK takes another look at the screen and points to the transports.

"Infantry hide behind things that go boom. Make them go boom and they take infantry with them!"

"We do that and we'll have less to kill flyers with," you counter

"Then use Heavy Beam cannons connected to power lines. Little jury-rigging with the power supply and barrels then there you go or make things go BOOM! I like BOOM. Just like the Jedi from last time!"

"Any other suggestions?"

"Heh Clones have poor timing. We are in city with lots of industries. Waste toxic to inferior meat bags. Clone armor not designed to protect against Toxic Waste! Give Clones taste of Industry!"

"Hm..."

"Also don't forget friends at Warehouse! Fellow superior droids dating back to Sith Wars and older. Deadly models not used since those old wars. No war so no need for such effective combat droids. Put to sleep like me, but you brought them back just like glorious me! Still got Jedi to kill. Sith Droids like that. Tell them about Jedi that need killing."

"Not a chance in hell," you refute in a huff. "That is my precious collection. They are all priceless!"

"Focus fire on the enemy chasing incoming friendlies." You order ignoring the increasing number of clones that keep on landing...there are an awful lot of them, but you should have enough droids to hold the line. As such the large spider droids and octuptarra droids focused fire with their heavy blaster cannons and missiles at the hostile clone starfighters chasing after the transports and droids. Fending them off while the incoming enemy troop transports move in and reinforce the clone numbers.

"Uh sir," interrupted an OOM Command Droid.

"What?"

"We don't have enough space to land all those friendly ships and the clones are about to breach past the first minefield."

"In that case just blow shit up," interjects the HK model.

"...How does that solve the problem?"

"No he's right," you shrug. "Order the droids to toss grenades at the clones and blow open some more space for landing. Then just toss in more mines in the aftermath to remine the minefield."

Looking back at the clone forces you soon see there really were a LOT of clones. So many they even created their own cover from their own dead bodies and scrap from destroyed transports. They have been methodically advancing clearing the mines out and taking down droids. With the constant reinforcements, they are covering a lot of ground and will soon start to overwhelm those landing zones completely. Currently, the only thing stopping them is the crossfire and not having enough bodies to throw into the meatgrinder.

Meanwhile, friendly transports dropped off personnel, droids, and supplies. To only make a risky departure or stay to get scrapped in order to make more space.

"Focus Fire on the Clones I repeat Focus Fire on the Clones," you order over the intercoms and seemingly as one you heard a reply from the droids.

"ROGER ROGER!"

Finally having something that wasn't zipping through the air and bitch to hit the droids seemingly attacked the Clones with great joy at having much easier targets. The clones for their part were dug in unwilling to give any ground and hold as long as possible for reinforcements to be dropped off.

The droids were thus unable to break their lines...until the heavy droids arrived that is. Crab Droids climbed their way up and over. Eating the resulting blaster fire but that wasn't able to stop them as they charged in amidst the clones. They were helpless to stop it.

Spider droids and Octuptarra appeared on nearby buildings and blasted them. Facing the heavy droids the Clones found themselves badly outgunned. The ground soon soaked with blood at the landing pads and the troop transports merely delivered even more clones to their death as they arrived at the meatgrinder.

A couple of the landing pods were even completely cleared of clones entirely opening up space for the friendlies to land. Seeing the current situation in the skies however you see that the space battle is entirely lost. Even the planetary ships holding in orbit were either destroyed or fled to the planet below.

As such the Clone forces were preparing to pour down in force and the very last of the friendly ships were making their escape. Soon the clone assault will be completely endless.

So you best take advantage of the last break your going to receive in the assault. Next time you'll have to create your own reprieve from the enemy.

I can only imagine the headache taking this position is giving someone. Here we are, some rando engineer who just got his start, never studied a single book of tactics in our life and we're holding our own and even managing to hurt the invading force using patchwork, antique and jury-rigged droids that we got from our fucking basement. Come to think of it won't be too long before the bombers arrive to blow your shit up sky high. Throw in the vehicles that should soon be landing and you'll be in deep shit soon enough. Pondering this issue you doublechecked the records handed to you about the supplies that were dropped off and looked at the blueprints for the starport. You soon mark the key points on the blueprints that will need heavy reinforcement in order to survive being directly bombarded.

Seeing as how the clones are currently stuck they'll have no choice but to attempt to blow a hole in your defenses directly. Even at the cost of damaging the spaceport. Better a damaged friendly spaceport then an intact one in the enemy's control...

Considering the incoming threat of vehicular danger. You find points to fortify and to entrench heavy weapons. After drawing up the plans you transmit them to the nearby Engineer Droids and OOM Officers to relay them to the droids.

While you yourself keep an eye on the skies above to see where the Clones were going to prioritize their orbital bombardments. Looking at the scanners you could see the majority of the clone ships move towards to the space station. No doubt intending to use it to facilitate repairs and turn its weapon emplacements directly upon its own world.

The incoming ships hanging in orbit around the planet instead of the space station came in the form of carriers, large troop transports, and ships to facilitate a barricade. Locking down the entire planet. They began to arrange themselves into orbit and took formation.

...Definitely not looking good for you or this world. At this point, you can't help but look towards the yard where a bunch of damaged vulture droids was huddled...they were now the only things standing between the enemy and complete air superiority.

Looking back over the city you could already see clone bomber formations striking at defensive stations attempting to blast ships out of the sky and push back the ships in orbit. Them and what few vulture droids were still in the sky was the only thing left to keep the clones from completely swarming down unmolested.

Naturally, you could also see some of those bomber formations were heading to key infrastructure like spaceports no doubt to blow some holes into their defenses. Soon enough they'll be coming for you too.

Soon you found yourself leaving the security office and watching the droids bustle around. Enacting fortifications, entrenching weapons, and stashing ammo along with repair kits even spare battery packs. You however were headed towards the vulture droids. There you saw repair droids had been busy enacting repairs and you soon joined them.

With the bombarding of defensive stations, what's left of the Vulture Droids and planetary spacecraft were going to be the only things to contend against Clone Air Superiority. As such you got to work.

In a security office an HK droid was singing murder and was painting little pictures on explosives.

In a space station that the clones had overwhelmed and taken control of. A Jedi was leading an elite strikeforce to the bridge where after cutting through the bulkhead doors and expecting a vicious fight beyond...instead they found the Commander sipping some while and waving his hands to the few droids there to stand down.

"We surrender to the Republic Jedi," he speaks before standing up and putting his hands forward.

"Any last requests," the Jedi asks approaching carefully. In response the Commander replies

"Just give me a second to finish my wine, the force only knows how long it's going to be since till I get to enjoy another," he responds finishing off his wine.

"...Well that was disappointing," complains one of the Clones. "Of all the bridges we had to break into we found the one where they DIDN'T fight till the bitter end?"

"Better luck next time rookie, though this is a first for us too," admits one of the veterans.

"Why do I feel like this is a trap," mutters one of the Clones under his breath and in reply the Jedi was one of them to speak after taking a look at one of the screens and looked at the Commander with mix feelings apparent.

"That is because this Confederate Commander...actually cares about his men. Given the choice to either take down as many of the enemy as possible or get his men out safely...he chose the latter." Admits the Jedi as they lead him away. "Such a caring Commander even for droid lives...what a shame you chose to side with the Confederacy."

"Hpmh," replies the Confederate Garrison Commander. "The Corrupt Republic and the evil Jedi Order deserves to fall. We fight for the freedom of the People, of star systems, and capitalism. What about you huh Jedi and those Clones huh? You know WHY they sent YOU to fight their wars in their stead? It's really quite simple."

"To save the lives of the innocent," replies the Jedi.

"To protect Civilians," reply the Clones.

"HAH," snickers the Confederate Commander as he's escorted to the hanger. "Its because you're the only ones those corrupt politicians, wealthy plutocrats, and spoiled populace who are so far gone as to not ever question 'why'. They have you so brainwashed you can't even fathom why the Republic and Jedi Order is so corrupt can you? Can't even fathom WHY there would be people willing to fight to free themselves from its dying corrupt grasps?"

"Hmph fighting? Most unlikely after all you use droids," points out a Clone.

"That we do," admits the Commander. "But we do so for the entirely different reason then you Clones or Jedi. Our Commanders haven't been brainwashed since they were mere children. Our soldiers they were programmed and buildable. We didn't clone people and brainwash them all to serve us. We don't need to waste 'lives' just materials and credits...but can you say the same about you Clones huh? About 'your' so-called Commanders?"

"If you truly cared about lives you would never have resorted to brainwashing and cloning."

"And yet you teamed up with the vile Sith of all things," points out the Jedi. "Everyone knows what they are capable of and their evil history. Yet you ignored it and teamed up with them. Even serving such villains willingly."

"Here you are having the balls to call us the 'villains' and if being the villain means not wasting lives even if they belong to clones? Means using droids we can just build more of and not needlessly waste lives makes us evil? If wanting to fight for our freedom of choice even if its to leave the Republic? Then why yes I AM A FUCKING VILLAIN AND PROUD TO BE ONE! At least I have enough of my mind left to acknowledge it is so! So what we if we agreed to work with the Sith at least they don't deny what is inside them. What makes them human. Ever heard of the expression 'an enemy of my enemy is my friend'? Why WOULDN'T we team up with the Sith ESPECIALLY considering our enemy was the all mighty Jedi Order? What choice did we really have Jedi? You have the Force what did we have to fight it if we didn't team up with the Sith?"

"Quite little speel this one is capable of saying ain't the Apprentice," greets another Jedi waiting in the Hangar. "You should not have attempted to take this space station alone."

"Hm, no wonder I got to live this long. That Jedi's brainwashing has yet to be completed. Lucky me," laughs the Confederate Commander before turning to face the new Jedi. "So tell me oh 'Master Jedi' plan to charge me as a traitor to the corrupt republic or maybe make sure I don't live long enough to reach trial? After all seeing that there is an actual living person behind those droids wouldn't be good for your propaganda campaign now would it?"

"You talk an awful lot. I can already tell the interrogation team is going to love you," answers the Master Jedi. "Apprentice I will entrust this prisoner to your care. Make sure he is delivered properly to the right authorities. I will stay here and prepare for the ground assault from this staging area."

"I will see you soon then Master," replies the Apprentice Jedi as they lead the Confederate Commander to the ship and take off.

The Confederate Commander was unable to shut up and spoke up one last time before leaving the space station. "Not soon enough I tell you," before he starts laughing once more.

As the ship departs the space station down below a Tactical Droid was holding a remote control and watching some tactical relay screens when a B1 droid speaks up.

"Commander the ship has departed with the old commander from the space station."

The Tactical Droid then pushes down the button and the space station detonates. Not even looking at the screen showing the blast or whether the ship got away intact it gave orders. "Have all remaining Space Ship assets lift off and counterattack. Take down as many of the Barricading ships and Invader ships as possible. Have Vultures enter skirmisher mode and attack."

"Do not allow the Republic forces to attain complete air superiority for as long as possible. Order our vehicle support to enter their positions at the following coordinates. Dispatch reinforcement waves immediately," the tactical droid finishes ordering.

"ROGER ROGER," came the reply.

"Have the Demolition teams finished setting up the explosive ordinance?"

"Currently lines 1A to 35D are complete and they are still working on the rest."

"Order our forward forces holding key strategic positions to set up explosives and prepare a retreat route. The enemy will soon assault them in overwhelming number but will be more interested in the positions they hold then the troops that hold them. They can afford to withdraw. I am afraid that retreating after this won't be so easy an affair."

----
Back on a certain spaceship a Confederate Commander laughed as he yelled "Holy shit I didn't think I would actually be able to kill a Jedi with that little trap," despite the heavy turbulence he somehow didn't bite his tongue off. As a Jedi Apprentice fought back tears ignored the laughing commander and fought to the pilot's position to check their condition.
-----
At the spaceport CIS ships lifted off and charged upward at the crumbled barricade lines at the opening the exploded space station created. Meanwhile, Vultures darted out and harassed the Clone forces.

"Well now...I didn't think that their trap would have taken out so many of the enemy ships and men," mutters a Combat Engineer while looking upward at the show. "That Garrison Commander is a man I would like to meet. He actually managed to cripple the entire Republic Fleet and their assault with a single well-timed booby trap."

"Down those transports," you order.

"Roger Roger," came the reply from the droids as they focused fire. This time the wave was large but on the plus side, it will be the last one until they reorganized. Even so the transports had heavy escort and not only that they also had bombers with them. Clearly the bombers had set their sights on blowing up important bits of your defenses.

The clones were smart they hid their bombers behind their transports. Made it impossible to realize what they were really up to. You had no idea about the bombers until it was nearly too late. After enough of the transports crashed behind them you finally got glimpse of the bombers.

If you hadn't blown up those transports it would of been too late...

"REDIRECT FIRE UPON THE BOMBERS HIDING BEHIND THOSE TRANSPORTS I REPEAT TAKE OUT THOSE FUCKING BOMBERS!"

They were dangerously close by the time you realized what the Clones were up to. Lurking behind those troop transports were bombers...

Even so your troops barely made it in time. Blowing up enough of the troop transport to reveal the formation of bombers lurking behind them. Redirecting fire many bombers and troop transports were taken out.

Right as you took a deep breath and considered what you should do next you couldn't help but look up and your face paled. The Clone fleet had reorganized and redeployed themselves. Most of the fleet that took the least damage from the booby trap was the blockades with their invader vessels. Even with the counterattack, they were still in relatively good shape.

Thus they spewed forth an endless wave of clone flyers and troops. Heavy transports descended with vehicles and massive transports prepared to dock onto the surface.

This brief respite is the last one your going to get...

Peering around at your defenses...you realized you don't have nearly enough. You're currently in one of the priority targets for the Republic. They take the spaceport you in and they can pour in that many more troops into the city. In fact, you wouldn't even be surprised if a Jedi showed up for the sole purpose of ruining your day and wrecking your shit.

So you do the only sane thing. You fortified your position and built even more defenses. At this point, your spaceport stopped looking like a commercial one entirely. With the amount of armor plating and weapon emplacements that covered it completely. With the OOM series droids using the heavy weapon emplacements and turrets. B1s were squeezed in wherever possible and B2s were placed in key spots. Droidkas were being held back for emergency deployment.

You even found spots for the heavy droids. Crab Droids lurked in the landing zones ready to wreck clone shit they moment they landed. Spider and octuptarra Droids climbing the buildings.

Engineers like yourself meanwhile repaired whatever damaged droids you can fine pushing up your droid numbers as mush as possible. Which was when reinforcements arrived to interrupt you. According to the OOM Officer with them, this was going to be quote 'last wave'.

Will no longer be any breaks between attack waves.

Here come the Clones!

----
On a certain Republic troop transport.

"Alright boys the LZ we are headed towards happens to be a very hot one. A commercial spaceport that we have been unable to take from the damned Droids and they dug themselves in deep. Our mission is simple take the spaceport so we can pour more troops into the city," explains the Clone Officer.

"Uh...sir that doesn't look like no commercial spaceport," points out a rookie pointing at the target they approach. Which was bristling with weapon emplacements, armor plating, and crawling in droids.

"...Oh damn I don't even think a bomber run will be able to crack those defenses right away," mutters a veteran under his breath.

Suddenly the transport shudders and desperately dodges incoming blaster fire.

"Hold on tight looks like this is going to be a rough landing," warns the pilot as the troop transport shudders and he struggles to land it...well more like crash the transport as smoothly as possible.
-----
Back at the spaceport meanwhile droids were charging towards the combat zone to take the place of those who have fallen. Combat Engineers rushed to repair droids and mend defenses. Clones now being constantly reinforced began to make their big push forward. With droids desperately trying to hold them off as long as possible.

"Fucking hell how many of these damned Clankers do they even have in there," curses a Clone at the fact that for every droid that falls three takes their place.

You order to focus fire on incoming aircraft which came to blowing up transports or bombers. While you did fortify the starport a lot prolonged bombing runs would eventually destroy the defenses. On the other hand for the troop transports if too many of them unloaded then you'll get swarmed by clones.

Overall a tough choice. Made a lot tougher when reports suddenly came pouring in from enemy hostiles flanking your position. Turned out while your forces were distracted by the aircraft some clone forces took the scenic route came in from the streets. Flanking your position and catching your forces between a pincer attack.

Fortunately for you spent time fortifying even that area and more importantly you have so many droids that there plenty of guards present to keep an eye on things.

But that doesn't change the fact you're now being attacked on two fronts and getting sandwiched between them. Suddenly the situation isn't looking so good for you.

"All troops focus on the landing zones," orders were broadcasted over the speakers and a chorus of 'Roger Rogers' replied.

One particularly thoughtful B1 had a 'brilliant' idea and spoke his suggestion to the surrounding droids.

"Hey hey guys I got an idea what if we take down the aircraft but only when they are close enough to crash into their own people?"

"Ooh good idea b1-57-921." Says another b1 droid.

"Yeah yeah that is perfect," agrees the other b1s when an OOM droid speaks up to his much dumber descendents.

"What if we miss?"

"See that's the best part since they are ALSO attacking from the streets no matter what we'll hit the enemy when they go down! It can't POSSIBLY go wrong!" Answers the b1 droid.

"YEAH PERFECT IDEA I can't believe those fleshy masters didn't come up with it," cheer the B1s.

In response the OOM series droid face palms and mutters "That wasn't what I meant..."

Soon the b1 droid's idea flourished among the ranks and the droids that it was such a great idea.
----
Meanwhile the Engineers who would have been smart enough to realize how terrible an idea that actually was were busy panicking as wires sparked, fires roared, and defenses crumbled around them.

"AH HENRY IS ON FIRE! SOMEONE FETCH THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER AND A MEDIC."

As the Clones watched the show as the enemy within their fortified bastion of doom looked on as they self destructed. When some rookie clones spoke up.

"Wow I can't believe those ARC Troopers got behind enemy lines so quickly. Just look at the havoc their causing."

"Uh," responds a veteran clone before poking a nearby Officer and whispered to him. "I thought the ARC Troopers were still inbound?"

"They are," hissed over the Officer.

"...Is it a Jedi then?"

"Jedi are occupied they were only going to show up if the ARC Troopers failed," answered the Officer.

"Oh...then what the fuck is going on with those droids? I mean look at those the terrible accuracy and fires. I don't recall dropping any firebombs on top of them fires are breaking out in places completely contrary to the crashes."

"How the fuck am I suppose to know? I mean look at them they aren't even shooting at us but instead the hard to hit flyers and they are even taking their sweet time before actually shooting at them!"

"AHH THE ARC TROOPERS HAVE ARRIVED RUN FOR YOUR LIVES," screams a B1 as it starts running away down hallway away from hole caused by a wreck republic troop transport whose survivors stumble out and are indeed Arc Troopers.

"Fuck. Quick go get em HK Model 0A!" You order smartly as you cower underneath the desk.

"Ehh...why can't it be a Jedi. Stupid Clones," complains the HK Model as it heads out. "Just not the same killing the exact same asshole over and over again. "Almost completely takes the fun out of murdering meatbags," he continues to bitch as he chucks a couple thermal detonators. Blowing up the surviving Arc Troopers who were still stumbling around the wreck. "Now I gotta go chase down a bunch of annoying little shits in a stupid cat and mouse game where the prize is only the murder of some stupid clones. I FUCKING HATE CLONES SO MUCH! THEY ARE BY FAR THE LEAST SATISFYING STUPID INFERIOR MEATBAGS TO MURDER," screeches the HK model out of sheer rage as it beats to death two ARC troops one of them it swung as a weapon to beat to death another ARC trooper with. "I mean if you were going to Clone a shitty meatbag why don't you clone one that can use the Force huh? I mean what is even the FUCKING POINT TO CLONING INFERIOR MEATBAGS WHO CAN'T USE THE FORCE HUH? WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU IDIOTIC MEATBAGS! Its like you don't even understand the ONLY advantage meatbags can ever have." Continues Screeching the pieced together HK Model as it chases down some surviving ARC Troopers cursing into their radio about being chased down a by an 'insane junk droid from hell'.
