/qst/ - Quests

Eight years ago, the warrior race known as the Saiyans were annexed into Emperor Freeza's army. Since that day, the Saiyans have acted as the emperor's loyal soldiers, leading the charge onto hundreds of worlds and wiping out all who oppose Lord Freeza's rule. As mighty conquerors, destroying all who have stood against them, the Saiyans have made quite a reputation for themselves as some of Freeza's most powerful and loyal subjects.

The tales of the Super Saiyans have especially grown larger than life as of late. Two exceptional warriors, clad in glorious golden auras and leading charges against impossible odds: fighting legendary assassins, powerful demons, and entire armies by themselves, even facing Lord Freeza himself and surviving.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, currently Age 739. You the players control Karn, a Saiyan Berserker with a powerlevel of 256,672 and are a leader of your own attack squadron. Your current teammates are:
Meloka- Blaster, 182,628

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Meloka battled Ginyu in his new body, then faced down Emperor Freeza. After she showed her surprising power, it was your turn to face your lord. After pushing him to 30% of his true power, your body is healed by Kibito who, along with Shin, came to moderate the meeting between the PTO and Covenant. Once a ceasefire is met, Karn and Meloka travel to the Arkas system, touching down on Planet Sera to rescue Sorbet and his men. After a brief battle with some of the locals, you no sooner introduce yourselves than a massive spiderlike creature bursts from the ground, roaring in challenge.

“We’ll take care of this, you guys just stay safe.” you say, you and Meloka dropping into your stances before Sorbet’s survivors. The rumbling continues, until the ground bursts up, a massive spider-like creature emerging and roaring. Focusing your senses on the creature, its power isn’t anything special. It’s powerlevel is probably around 8,000, which Meloka confirma from her scouter as 8,417. It slams its legs down point-first, shaking the ground beneath you violently. You hear several of Sorbet’s survivors fall, you and Meloka still standing in defiance before the creature as it raises its many legs again.

“Meloka this one’s all yours.” you say, closing your eyes to focus. “I’ll take a look around.”
“Fine by me.” she says, blasting off towards the creature. Meanwhile you focus, expanding your senses outward. You sense Meloka and the beast first, then Sorbet’s survivors behind you. Widening your range, you’re aware a small army is coming up the tunnel behind the many-legged creature. Seems they use these beasts to clear the path for their underground army. Right as you’re about to open your eyes, you sense several other powers closing in rapidly, in comparison to everything else here. Focusing on these new powers, they’re not exceptionally strong, maybe in the 3-4 thousand range and each has 2 of their soldiers riding them as well. Opening your eyes, you look towards where the fliers are coming in, and sure enough you see them.

They’re rather odd, tentacled creatures flying through the air, their appendages flapping behind them as they fly. Each has a couple soldiers riding them, one pilot and a gunner. They zero in on Sorbet’s men, firing a salvo of rockets at them.

“Incoming!” Sorbet shouts, but before his men can move you act. You dash into the air between Sorbet and his men, and the rockets. Lifting your hand you fire a quick Scatter Beam and destroy five of the rockets, blocking the sixth with your palm. It explodes against you and kicks up a smoke cloud, and when it clears you see the creatures are flying and circling you all, staying far back. Meloka’s finished the large creature, and has engaged the forces coming up through the tunnel.

What will you do?
>Rush and attack each of the flying creatures

You look back and forth at the circling creatures, several of the riders’ weapons glowing. Whatever that it, you’re sure you don’t want to be on the receiving end of it. You spread your arms wide, firing your Scatter Beam technique from each hand. The beams fly through the air, downing four of the flying creatures, and killing a few of their pilots as well. But before you can follow up, one of the slain beasts’ gunners fires at you.

You see the projectile headed right for you, no time to dodge. Lifting your arm up, you block the bolt with your gauntlet. You feel it impact on your arm, the weapon piercing your armor but unable to pierce your flesh, rolling your arm to look at the embedded projectile, but before you get a good look at it it explodes. You feel shrapnel bounce off of you, turning your head so none gets in your eyes as you’re engulfed in a cloud of smoke. Coughing from the foul-smelling smoke, you try and wave it off from you, but the remaining fliers keep circling you and firing into the smoke.

“Shisami! Tagoma!” Sorbet shouts, his voice clear and commanding. “Get up there and back Karn up! The rest of you, with me!”
“Yes sir!!” his men shout, moving without hesitation. You flare your aura up, blasting the smoke away just in time to watch Sorbet’s men in action. The red skinned, horned man flies straight at one, punching the pilot into the gunner and knocking both off of the beast and sending them falling down to their deaths. Then grabbing it, and suplexing it down headfirst into the ground The lanky, purplish skinned alien takes a different approach, firing a wave from his hand straight down the creature’s mouth, killing it. He flies aside as it glides, crashing down into yhe ground in a firey blast.

“Not bad you two.” you say, nodding to each of them. Now, let’s get down there and end this.”
“Yes sir!” they salute, then follow you as you fly down, you crashing into the mass of subterranean creatures. You hit the ground hard, the impact sending out a shockwave that knocks down the attackers. With all of you working together, the remaining infantry are quickly dispatched, letting none escape further down into the tunnels.

“What now?” Sorbet asks you. “We’ve repelled them for now, but they’ll be back. And we only have another hour or so until nightfall. What’s the plan?”

“The plan is to get you guys outta here.” you say, nodding to Meloka. She closes her eyes, thinking up to the ship. “We’ll take it from here.”
“But-“ the purplish alien starts, before Sorbet silences him with a hand.
“Understood.” Sorbet says, sighing out.
“They’re coming.” Meloka says, opening her eyes. “Let’s make sure we get everyone.”
“Good idea.” Sorbet says, turning back to his men. “Everyone, we’ll wait back at the ship. Tagoma, make sure to wipe the computers.”
“Yes sir!” the purplish alien snaps to attention, all of his forces following the purple alien to his ship. You, Meloka and Sorbet follow, watching for threats.

Once back to his wrecked ship, his men begin to pile gear and supplies on top of the ship while waiting for your ship to arrive. You and Meloka keep lookout, expanding your senses to try and sense any threat before it gets close. You notice Sorbet watching the horizon nervously, but then you sense something. Somethings are headed right for you, as well as one bigger than the rest. Whatever it is isn’t powerful, at least in the mid thousands. But before you can explore further, your ship appears above you all, ramp descending while the ship remains airborne.

“Ride’s here everyone!” Sorbet says, his men focusing on him. “Gather everything and move out!”
“Yes sir!” they shout, his men grabbing the gear and flying up to your ship. Meanwhile you turn towards that power you sensed, and not a moment too soon. A barrage of creatures are swarming right towards your ship, you hearing a distant roar as well. Leaping into action, you dash in the way, hands outstretched towards the creatures. Firing another quick Scatter Beam from each hand, you obliterate the first volley of the exploding balloon-like creatures. When they die, they explode in a cloud of inky darkness, obscuring your vision.

“Hurry it up!” Meloka shouts down at them, dashing up beside you. “We need to get that ship back into orbit right now!”

You and Meloka shoot down the odd creatures, keeping them from the ship. Another dozen or so of the odd beings rush, and either you or Meloka shoot them down, none even getting close to your ship.

“That’s everyone.” Sorbet’s voice comes over your scouter. “We’re going into orbit now, good luck down there. And whatever happens, when the sun goes down, stay in the light!”
“We’ll be fine.” you reply, then focusing back on the battle. Looking around, the ink hasn’t dissipated at all; you get the feeling you shouldn’t breathe it in.

“You feel that?” Meloka asks you.
“Yeah, let’s see what it is.” you reply, both you and Meloka dropping to the ground to find the source of that powerlevel. You find it easily enough, another strange looking creature. You watch in a mix of disgust and curiosity as it fires another of those small explosive creatures from itself, the balloon-like creature flying straight at you both. Meloka raises a hand, firing an Energy Wave and obliterating it. You fire a wave as well, obliterating the odd creature befote it can spawn any more.

The dust clears, you both looking around for more threats. You look towards the horizon, seeing that the sun is almost down. You hear an odd chittering, screeching behind you, quite some ways off still.

“What’s the plan?” Meloka asks you. “We can go underground, or stick around up here and see what they’re so afraid of.”

“Let’s get underground.” you tell her, turning back to where that creature made a path underground. You both take off at a run, covering the distance in under a minute. The screeching just gets louder and louder as the sun fades, you and Meloka making it to the tunnel entrance while the sun is still up. You both start making your way down underground, walking casually down the tunnel together as you both keep your eyes peeled looking forany threats. Suddenly you sense something, a lot of somethings coming swiftly up the tunnel.

“Get down!” you shout, grabbing Meloka and pulling her down onto the ground with you. You weren’t a moment too soon, a swarm of tiny creatures flying over you both and headed to the surface. Once the swarm passes over, you rise, helping Meloka to her feet as well.

“What the hell was that?” Meloka asks, still clearly shocked.
“I’m guessing they’re what destroyed Sorbet’s men.” you reply, looking back towards the surface. “They didn’t seem strong though...”
“Nothing here’s that strong.” Meloka replies. “Compared to us anyways. We’ve gotten so strong now, normal threats like these just aren’t dangerous anymore. Like them.”

She gestures down the tunnel as she finishes speaking, over a hundred of the infantry marching towards you both. The ones in the front catch your eye, wielding large metal shields to protect the rest behind them. You watch the column approach, when suddenly you hear “BOOOOM!!”, followed by a volley of explosives fired at you both. You lift your arms up, blasts detonating against and around you both. Once the explosions end, you flare your aura slightly to blast the smoke away. You see they aren’t deterred in the slightest, the entire army beginning to fire their assorted weapons at you.

Since there’s no real threat to either of you, you decide to take your time destroying them and work on a new technique. You dash into the midst of the creatures, focusing your ki into your pointer and middle fingers. Your first several attempts are failures, either conjuring your Energy Blade around your hand or firing out your Death Beam. But on your ninth attempt, it works! Holding your right hand above your left shoulder, ki gathered into your fingertips, you swing. A curved blade of ki leaps from your swinging arc, cutting through a dozen of the subterranean creatures at once.

“Oooh, that’s a good one.” Meloka says, turning to you with a different creature’s arm locked in each of hers, snapping them both with one clean motion. “What are you gonna call it?”

“I think Death Slash is appropriate.” you say, firing it again and cleaving more of the creatures. You keep practicing the attack, firing it with either hand, until one of the large creatures lumbers up to you, swinging a metal flail over its head. You decide to try something special, gathering power into the fingertips on either hand. With a shout you swing with both arms in an “X” pattern, your blades cutting the creature into four pieces.

-Death Slash learned-
-X Slash learned-

With that, the rest of the remaining soldiers try and flee further down the tunnel. But they don’t make it far, Meloka firing an Energy Bomb into their midst and detonating it, wiping out the cowards. You both resume your trip, casually walking deeper into the planet. After two minutes of easy walking, you arrive at the first split in the path.

“Well what now?” Meloka asks, turning to you. “Sticking together or splitting up?”

Hey, i have an idea!
Let's send out a quick surge of ki, then try to sense the echo.

Any ki we send out in all directions should just radiate away forever, but if there's a powerful enemy nearby, our ki should bounce off of their own and reflect back at us so we can sense it, like echolocation.
We should be able to get a better sense for the exact location of a single large enemy regardless of distance like that.

“I have an idea.” you say, Meloka just raising an eyebrow at you. She doesn’t say anything, enough of your seemingly-insane plans have worked before that she simply stands back and watches, waiting to see what happens. You focus on yourself, your ki, then transform.

“HAAAAA!!” you shout, golden ki enveloping you as you transform. Keeping your eyes shut, you focus on the pulse of golden ki as you transformed, the energy traveling down both paths. The left begins to travel downward after five hundred feet or so, whereas the right simply takes a few turns then returns right to the surface. The rock doesn’t take very well to your sudden surge of power, crumbling immediately underfoot and above you. You barely feel the rocks bouncing off of you, as intensely focused on your aura as you are. You feel your aura bounce off of the tunnel walls, mapping the route down deeper and deeper below ground, until you find a massive subterranean chamber, losing the clarity you had in the tunnels. Opening your eyes, you transform back down then thrn to Meloka.

“We’ll go left.” you say, dusting rubble from your shoulder. “I found their base, its quite a ways below us.”
“Below, huh?” she asks, smirking at you. “I have a better idea.”
“Huh?” you ask, as she raises her fist, hand coated in her ki.

“HAAAAA!!” she shouts, firing an Energy Wave straight down. Her attack smashes the ground, blasting your own tunnel down into the depths of the planet. Standing, she turns to you then with a flourish, “After you.”

Chuckling, you leap down the express tunnel, traveling hundreds of feet deeper in moments. The air starts getting warmer, while the gravity’s intensity increasing. After your training, it isn’t anywhere close to your max, but still noticeable.

Your path ends above a golden glowing subterranean lake, you both stopping midair to avoid landing in it.

“What is that?” Meloka asks, clearly not expecting an answer. You both look at the odd liquid, wondering what it could be when suddenly you feel it. Whatever it is, you can sense its ki. And its massive, easily dwarfing both of you as Super Saiyans. Meloka senses it the same time as you do, her face going pale.

“What the hell...?” you ask, suddenly much more worried. “Is that stuff alive?”
“I don’t like this.” Meloka says, wrapping her arms around herself. “Let’s get out of here.”
“Right.” you say, both taking off deeper into the tunnels. Flying in uneasy silence, both of you unsettled by the feeling of that massive ki. Flying onward, you get back into the tunnels, headed downward again until your way is blocked. A colossal creature stands blocking your way, roaring in challenge as it sees you. It plants its feet, firing a salvo of rockets at you both.

Gravity gets less intense the closer to a planet's core because more of the planet's mass is above you, GD.
And the air would only get significantly hotter after like a kilometer.

So... do we capture it?
By which i mean, just leave it there.

I mean, if we just leave it on the planet, frieza could use it as a resource, i guess.
It's not particularly harmful, right? Like it won't shoot spores out and fuck everything up?

You could just feed it people and mine it for FTL fuel?

Apparently it is a sort of fungus type deal, but i don't think it can spread to other planets without sentient carriers.
And it's not FTL fuel, it's like super-gasoline. Still really useful for industry, probably.
Would help fuel the war effort and the production of new technology for the PTO.

Yeah, this thing could totally be useful.
Too bad karn has no idea what it even is.

A swarm of rockets fire from the beast’s back-mounted weapon, headed straight for the both of you. You respond by dashing through the swarm of explosives and rushing the beast’s head. It tries to punch you with a massive fist, you rolling midair past it and continuing your charge. Gathering your ki quickly into your fingers, you unleash your attack point-blank. The perpendicular blades slice open the creature’s head, it crashing down to the ground. The pilot steps out of the wreckage, drawing some sort of pistol and taking aim at you. Before he can fire, Meloka grabs his wrist, turning his weapon at his own head. It is powerless to resist, Meloka forcing the terrified pilot to stare down the barrel of its own weapon for a few moments before pulling the trigger, killing it in one shot. She snatches its weapon from its hand as it falls, spinning it around on her finger for a moment before dropping it, you both heading deeper in the tunnel network.

You send out another Super Saiyan Pulse, concentrating on the energy until you find the path then transforming back down, heading deeper into the maze like tunnel network. You don’t travel very far, two of the spider-like creatures burst through the walls of the tunnel ahead of you, a third dropping from a tunnel above you and landing behind you both, surrounding you.

“These guys again?” Meloka asks, going back-to-back with you, her facing the one behind you and leaving you to handle the two up front.

You dash to the closest of the beasts, it raising and slamming its legs down. However you catch it by two of its legs, halting those midair. With a twisting pull, you lift the creature off of the ground, spinning it and slamming it bodily into the other. You strike it with an amazing amount of force, lifting and slamming the creature into the tunnel wall and stunning it. Before it can recover you swing the creature up overhead, and with a shout slam it down on top of the stunned beast. The impact shakes the ground, but you’re not done. You lift the creature over and over, slamming it down over and over again a half-dozen times until you hear the ground crumbling, releasing the creature and leaping back, watching it drop to another tunnel floor below.

Your ‘foes’ defeated, you turn back to Meloka, who’s already finished off hers.
“You ready?” she asks, walking over to you casually.
“Let’s go.” you reply, both leaping down the newly-made hole down into the next level. A few well-placed punches later, and you’ve made it down into what you think is the bottom level. Dozens upon dozens of the flying creatures circle a subterranean city, with a central citadel. You extend your senses, focusing past the overwhelming ki of that golden liquid below to see others. You can sense three of any significance, near the bottom of that citadel. Suddenly a voice rings out over the city, clearly female.

“The intruders are here! Rise, my children, and show them what it means to be Locust!”

“Looks like they know we’re here.” Meloka says, watching the flying creatures turning towards you both. “How do you want to do this?”

“Are you already as sick of these guys as I am?” you ask Meloka, raising your arm over your head and preparing a Super Energy Bomb.
“I don’t feel like wasting any more time here.” she says, raising her arm up with you as well. Combining your powers together the Super Energy Bomb immediately quadruples in both size and power.

“Someone stop them, now!” the voice returns, sounding extremely panicked. “Hurry my children, they aim to destroy Nexus! We must not lose this stronghold!”

Their primitive weapons open fire, doing less than nothing to the both of you. The explosions are bright, but do nothing to harm either of you. Before they can mount any meaningful resistance, you’re both ready.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=hLDtlBlSLxA

“NOW!!” you and Meloka shout together, tossing the massive orb of ki down. Several of the large behemoths impose themselves in the way, but they are crushed beneath your combined power. You feel your attack slam into the center citadel, crushing it beneath your combined might until it slams into something solid. Whatever or whoever you hit is strong, but not strong enough.

“HAAAAA!!!” you both shout, your attack exploding against whatever it hit. The blast is extraordinary, knocking you both back a bit through the air before recovering. You watch as the city is consumed by the blast, the golden liquid below beginning to glow bright.

“You might want to take cover.” Towa’s voice appears suddenly in your head. “Seems your attack has set the Imulsion off, its about to explode.”

“Explode?!” you and Meloka shout together, apparently Towa spoke to you both. Meloka turns to you and asks, “What do we do now!?”

“We’re getting out of here, now!” you shout to Meloka, you both transforming into Super Saiyans and flying straight up through the rock as you think to the crew.
“Prepare the ship, get out of here, now! The whole planet’s gonna blow!”

You both fly up and through the rock, crashing headlong through the planet with zero regard for what you’re flying through. You both just fly full-speed, desperate to get out of range of the incoming blast. Then finally you’re free! Blasting free of the planet’s crust, you both take a deep breath and continue your charge, flying up through the atmosphere and into the void of space. You both quickly close in on your ship, boarding it through the airlock just in time. Through the window you both watch as the planet explodes, consumed in a firey explosion.

The blast rocks your ship, knocking both you and Meloka from your feet. Rising up, you exit the airlock and make your way to the bridge. Waiting for you is Roberry in the pilot’s seat, Sorbet, and Shisami and Tagoma standing behind him.

“What the hell did you do?” Sorbet shouts at you both as you enter the bridge. “We were supposed to conquer the planet, not leave it as rubble!”

“Hey, it wasn’t my fault that the planet was full of a liquid explosive!” you shoot back, getting a bit heated yourself. “If we hadn’t acted you’re entire force would have been wiped out to a man.”
“Yes but without your actions that planet would still be there for Lord Freeza to conquer!” he shouts back. “Now instead of dying with my shame I’ll have to face Lord Freeza’s personal wrath! I’d rather be dead!”

He’s clearly about to continue, when you raise a hand. He stops, waiting to see what you say.

“Look, what happened wasn’t your fault.” you say, lifting your hands up placatingly. “I’ll tell Freeza myself what happened. I destroyed the planet, I’ll take full responsibility for that. The blame won’t be on you, calm down.”
“I-It won’t?” he asks, shocked. “Wait, how will I know that?”
“Because he said so.” Meloka says, glaring hatefully down at the little man.
“Because,” you say, placing a hand on Meloka’s shoulder, keeping her back. “We’re all going to speak with Lord Freeza, right now.”
“Wait now?!” he shouts in protest, but its too late. Roberry followed your telepathic orders, and Freeza’s face appears on the monitor.

“Well hello there Karn, Meloka.” Freeza says happily. “Oh, and Sorbet’s there as well. So Karn, I take it your mission was a success then?”

“Partially.” you reply. “I managed to get Sorbet and his few surviving men out. But the planet’s gone.”
“You destroyed the planet?” Freeza asks. “And what could have possibly posessed you to do this?”
“I apologize, it was an accident.” you reply. “There was this living golden liquid everywhere, running underneath the surface of the planet. When my attack hit it, it all detonated together at once, and blew the whole planet apart.”

“Wait, it was alive?” he asks. “A living liquid? Are you sure you didn’t hit your head or something?”
“He’s telling the truth, Lord Freeza.” Meloka says, stepping forward. “Somehow it was alive, we could sense its power. It didn’t make any sense, but somehow it was living.”
“I see.” he says, swirling his glass. “And what of those Ctarl-Ctarl? What were they doing during all of this?”

“Those bastards left us behind!” Sorbet shouts angrily. “After we cleared the surface dwellers they took off, rushing off to fight those Tamaraneans.”
“Abandoned you, did they?” Freeza asks, sighing out. “Such a troublesome lot. Karn, could you go rendezvous with them? Make sure the lot of them aren’t yet killed, or worse defecting? If you’d prefer not, I could always arrange to send someone else. Well?”

“That makes sense.” you reply. “Alright then, I’m off.”

“If it turns out that the Ctarl-Ctarl have deserted or betrayed me, destroy them all. Kill every last one.” Freeza says sinisterly.
“Yes Lord Freeza!” you say enthusiastically, giving him a Saiyan salute, Freeza smirking before cutting the line. Once the line goes dark, Sorbet sighs out in relief.

“That went much better than expected.” Sorbet says. “I’d hoped we would have been able to get some time for my men to recover, but it seems we’re right back into the fire.”
“Never a dull moment.” you reply. “But you guys are done for now. If whatever the Ctarl-Ctarl ran into was enough to take them out, you guys aren’t going anywhere near the fighting. So relax for a bit, we’ll take care of this then head back to friendly space.”
“Be careful you two.” Sorbet says, walking from the bridge with his two lieutenants in tow.

“Time to find the Ctarl-Ctarl.” you say, turning back to your pilot.
“But how?” Meloka asks you. “Telepathy?”
“We could always message their ship, see who answers.” Roberry says, hands hovering over the controls. “But if they’ve been captured we’ll tip our hand a bit.”

“I’ll contact Aisha myself first, see what’s going on.” you say, closing your eyes. “Don’t want to risk giving away our approach to any enemies if we can help it.”

That said you focus your mind, and think.

“Aisha? Aisha, can you hear me? Aisha, are you there?”
“Would you shut up already?” a new mind thinks at you grumpily. “I’ll get her up already, just be quiet.”
“Wait, who’re you?” you ask, but get no reply. You decide to wait in silence, the mysterious presence not saying anything for about a minute, then;
“There, she’s up.” the grouchy voice says. “Now keep it down, I’m trying to meditate.”
“Thank you?” you reply, then focus on the task at hand. “Aisha, can you hear me now?”

“Karn?” Aisha thinks back. “Is that really you?! Hooray, we may get outta here!”
“Aisha, where are you?” you ask. You have a million other questions to ask, but you can ask them once you’re on your way.”
“Planet, umm Azar! Yeah, that’s it!” Aisha says excitedly. “So you’re comin’ to save us?”
“Roberry, set us a course for Planet Azar.” you say, your pilot snapping to it.
“Save you?” you think back to Aisha, confused. “From what?”
“Well, you see...” she starts, but is cut off by Meloka. “You attacked them, got overwhelmed, and captured, right?”

“How did you know that?” Aisha asks.
“Just sit tight Aisha, we’re coming.” you reply, cutting the comms.

“Coordinates locked general.” Roberry says. “It’ll take us about 14 hours to get there.”
“Good man.” you say. “Wake us up when you’re within 20 minutes, alright?”
“Yes sir!” he says, snapping a salute then pressing buttons. You and Meloka leave the bridge, standing in the round central hall of the ship.

“So off to bed?” Meloka asks, “Or someone you want to see first?”

There's no way i'd take her out on a mission, but she could hang back on the ship, and then we'd get to spend time with her as we traveled, and broly would be great at protecting the ship.
I don't want her to grow up mostly knowing her parents as voices in her head, with faint memories of what they actually looked like from when she was a toddler.

“I’m gonna go check up on Dr. White before I turn in.” you say, you walking down the hall and Meloka floating up and wrapping her arms around your neck. She yawns, laying her head down against your neck, just content to hang around. You make your way to medical quickly, the door sliding open to let you in.

Despite your time in war, the sight of post-battle field hospitals still slightly disturbing to you, no matter how many of them you’ve seen. Men lay on cots in various states, both Healing Pods already occupied as well. Some men just seem unconscious, awaiting their turns to be bandaged up. Others clutching various parts in obvious pain. Scanning the room, you see Dr. White and Mouse over one soldier, from the Doctor’s swearing it isn’t going well. So you walk over to see if you can help.

“Dammit! Keep his heart pumping!” he tells his assistant, the soldier before them’s chest cavity open. He turns to you for a moment, before turning back to his work. “Stay back, he not dead.”
Opening your senses, you feel the soldier’s ki fading fast. If you don’t act soon, he will die. Ignoring the doctor, you transform into a Super Saiyan, Meloka’s eyes snapping open immediately. You walk around to the soldier’s head and hold a hand out, golden ball of ki gathered in your palm.

“Stop! What you doing?!” he shouts, but he can’t stop you. You fire thr ki ball directly into the soldier’s open chest, golden light enveloping him. Your power invigorates the wounded soldier’s vitals, his organs all firing themselves back up at once.

“What?” he asks, utterly shocked. “What did you do?”
“I gave him some of my energy.” you reply. “It won’t sustain him for long nor stitch his wounds, but it should buy enough time for you to save him. The doctor, for his part simply stares at you, dumbfounded for a moment.

“But, why?” he finally asks.
“Why help him?” he asks you. “He nothing to you, you’ve slaughtered planets. Why?”

Why indeed?

After he asks, you stop to ponder a moment. Why did you help him? The doctor turns back to his work, you still standing there pondering.
“Karn?” Meloka asks you, concern all over her face. When you don’t answer she lays her head back down on your shoulder and neck, clutching tightly to you, making sure you know she’s there for you.

“I’m not a monster.” you finally say to the doctor’s back. “I don’t enjoy watching people suffer. For all the genocide and bloodshed I've been a part of, I'd still rather see a friend alive than an enemy dead.”

“Then why fight at all?” he asks quietly, arms still working. “You have family, friends, child, comrades. Why risk losing all by fighting? Leave them alone without you?”

Another question you weren’t quite ready for. You actually sit right where you are to ponder this, Meloka twisting around and laying in your lap, looking up at you with an odd look on her face. Why do you fight?

“Its, fighting is all I’ve ever known.” you finally say softly, looking at your hands. “Ever since I was a child, all I’ve done is fight. In the villages, we had to fight just to survive each day. Then the war happened, those Tuffle bastards tried to wipe us all out for good. We had to fight to live, and to protect each other.”

As you say that line you put your right hand on Meloka’s face, rubbing her cheek with your thumb. She smiles softly up at you, then wraps your hand with one of hers and nestles into your hand as you continue.

“We had finally won our war, those Tuffle bastards wiped out, and then he came. Freeza.” you stop for a moment, lost in the memories, then continue. “He offered us a bargain. Ships, armor, food, and as much fighting as we could stand, as long as we fought for him. Go do what we do best, or die right there and then. And eight years later here we are.”

The doctor is quiet for quite some time, the only sounds are those of his work, and Meloka humming contentedly in your lap as your thumb strokes her cheek. Finally he finishes his work on the soldier, then turns to you.

“Hard life.” he says, kneeling down and putting a hand on your shoulder. “Hard path, you’ve traveled. Long way to go before you yet.”

He then puts his left hand on your forhead, his right making odd gestures.
“May one day you find your peace.”

He then stands, getting back to work.
“Go, rest now.” he says, moving to the next patient, who is in much better condition than the last guy. “Your strength, you’ll need.”
“Thank you.” you say, rising to your feet and holding Meloka in your arms. You leave the Medical Bay, carrying her to your room. As your door shuts behind you, Meloka leans up, lips by your ear.

“You’re wrong, you know.” she whispers right into your ear. “War isn’t all you’re good at.”

Hours later, as you both lay exhausted in bed, your arms around her, you can’t help but agree. Maybe war isn’t all you’re good at. You know tomorrow may be another life-or-death struggle, but for today you enjoy this moment of peace until you drift off to sleep.

>>
>>2268698

Getting courted by the prince is a bonus, this way the one the prince chooses will be stronk to bare stronk children and continue the stronk bloodline of swole.
>>
>>2268750
Nothing wrong with the memes, and less wanting Vegeta to be happy.

Turles, in canon, had abandoned the Saiyans and Freeza then the Saiyans almost all died. He grew up thinking all that mattered was his own power. In this timeline, however, he actually has friends and not followers. And he knows he can rely on them when he really needs them. Especially Karn.
>>2268801
Saiyan children around their age aren’t interested in the opposite sex yet. However, being mentored by powerful older Saiyans would be appealing to many. The better question is, with all the responsibilities on his shoulders, would young King Vegeta bother with something like that, or call it a waste of time?

So GD, 2 questions.
1. What happens when the day comes when we're a match for Frieza in his 100% form.
2. What will Frieza do when he realizes that we're then stronger than him the very next day?
>>
>>2272939
Probably get off his ass and train, cause God damn that would make him look bad. Expect in 3 months for him to rip majinbuu a new asshole.
>>

>1. What happens when the day comes when we're a match for Frieza in his 100% form.
We kill him.
>2. What will Frieza do when he realizes that we're then stronger than him the very next day?
He will start complaining about his living conditions in HFIL
>>
>>2273062
kill him? Frieza is our friend, our lord and desu our best sparring partner. Heck frieza gave us a new planet and has a daddy that could probably kill us if we where twice as strong as frieza.
>>
>>2273062
Why in the world would we kill our best buddy? We sorta/kinda/didn't name our second kid after him.

Also if we ever get our hands on the Potara earrings we're fuckin' golden baby.
>>
>>2273067
>>2273068
Because I don't like him. And since th majority of you loves him so much you would make Karn into his Waifu, I know that my propositions of Killing him will not find any support.
>>
>>2272851
Who knows?
>>2272857
Ha

He may go even further beyond.
>2
If you become stronger, he’ll actually push himself.
>>2273068
>potara
But how would he wear one?
>>
>>2273318
>But how would he wear one?
We put them on our tails
>>
>>2273427
I can only imagine that will lead to pierced tails being a fashion statement among saiyans.
>>
>>2273741

if we fuzed, what would happen if we tired to go Golden great ape?
>>
>>2273318
>But how would he wear one?
Bellybutton.

24 hours until SCQ 31! Hope everyone’s excited.

Not sure either of those’d work. You’d have to ask an elderly Kai and see if he knows.

Transformations may not be accessable, depending on how different the species are.
>>
Guys, fuckin' shut up and listen to my great idea.
Instead of fusing with Frieza, we fuse with our wonderful child bearing wife.

What's our name then Karoka?

>>
>>2277326
EVEN BETTER!
>>
>>2277343
We need a second set of ears. So we can equip 2 sets of Potaras.
