The warp. A realm of horror and daemons, where mortal souls are damned and consumed. A realm of evil and death. Or maybe, it is a realm of endless possibility, where souls can truly become great and powerful. Either way, you can definitively say one thing about the warp as you sit in your small throne on the bridge of the yet unnamed explorator ship, Gellar fields humming away to keep back the countless predators of the warp:

Warp travel is very, very boring compared to clambering around a space hulk, fighting xenos and becoming a vessel for the true power of the Omnissah by consuming the daemons of his lesser aspects.

Welcome to Skitarii Quest Episode 4: A New Hope for Heresy!

Here's out character sheet, blessed by a tech priest: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rl2umEyvrjSYrNAq6s_sRBshJSljgCQat136XA2bkr0/edit?usp=sharing

Just in case you don't know, the objective with dice rolls in to roll under our attributes, with modifiers given based on the difficulty of the situation. A 1 is a critical success, a 100 is a critical failure. I usually wait for about three different people to give rolls unless there's not a lot of activity. Anyways, onto the quest!

You are former skitarii ranger 101, but you've transcended that feeble existence now. Now, you lead a cult of chaos worshippers alongside a tech priestess named Medusa aboard a mechanicus ship you found in a space hulk that had a strange AI/Sentient factory that had turned the former occupants into servitors, and is now working for you, turning the former crew into your own skitarii. A ritual has left your own essence in a situation somewhat similar to either a daemon host or a daemon engine, and you can also now consume warp entities in order to gain their essence by using the massive mouth situated on your stomach. You're currently headed to an agriworld to stir up some stuff.

Bored, you stand from your throne. Probably should do something.

>[1] Go see Medusa, see what she's up to. Maybe she can get some more daemons for you or some custom built tech.
>[2] Go interrogate the prisoners who boarded when the Space Hulk. You have a good portion of a chaos war band and two tau in crisis suits down there.
>[3] Go talk to the Factory Core. Check on the progress of your skitarii and maybe get it to do something else too.
>[4] Go talk to your androgynous navigator. They're still a bit of a mystery.

alright fuck it. supporting. Request. Take the space marines we have with us to make a point, and inform them that they have a choice; go to an agriworld and take skulls for khorn, or die.
>>
You decide to make your way to the brig, finally introduce yourselves to your prisoners, be they future allies, future sacrifices, or future meals. You nod to your bridge controller, one of your new chaos skitarii. You're fairly sure he used to work up here before his conversion, or its possible the Core just took in all those skills and gave them out at random. You'll need to check up on that later. You decide to take the space marines that have already converted to your cause with you. You're actually quite proud of them, they've already started working on giving themselves mechanical augments like good servants of the Omnissiah.

Despite the increasing number of skitarii, the ship still feels empty. You only came on with about ten people, not including Medusa or the gene stealer. You pass none of the semi-familiar cultists on the way to the brig, just a few skitarii guarding it or making repairs alongside servitors.

You enter into the brig and are greeted by one of your servitors. It seems that the core had a sense of humor when assigning this one; it used to be one of the chaos space marines that boarded the ship.

You give the order to have the prisoners rounded up all before before you. They are lead boy servitors into a large common area which you overlook from a balcony. The chaos marines have been stripped of their armor and have had their hands chained, as have a couple of orks(you've made sure to check and double check for spores), the two tau, and a few gene stealers, one of which is larger than the others and snarls at you, showing intelligence higher than that of his kin. You clear your throat, and begin...

Comrades!
*Flare our psychic might, make a good show*
As you probably already figured, bottom line of our improptu gathering here is for you to serve me or die. I allowed you to my ship, because I see potential to grow; to be stronger, better, and more powerful. I took you away from that wretched piece of shipwreck graveyard because I have a vision. I have means. And I have power!
And now, I am offering the same to you. Join me and became more, cast away shackles of your past and embrace the shining future, together, at my side. There are untold bilions of souls just waiting to see the light the same way i did, and I will make them see!
So, what is your answer?
Join me and ascend?
Or would you rather perish?

"You are here because you wanted to survive...You are all failures in whatever schemes or missions you had are over. Any honor, loyalty, or pride you claim was left on that hulk, left behind because no one was coming for you, because you were not worth the recovery. Expendable. You live, because I have let you; and you will follow me, because you choose to. What I seek, is what we all seek; greatness, power, acknowledgement, even freedom of mind and body!"

The crowd below looks uneasy. The two tau look at each other, concerned and confused. The orks get into a huddle, whispering loudly amongst themselves about how strong this guy is, and how they should follow him to get shiny bits. The chaos lord steps forward, looking infuriated.

"Now you listen here you sniveling cultists wretch, I'm going to come up there and- HGH!" One of the other chaos marines punches him hard, and his compatriots help restrain the chaos lord.

"All hail our new lord!" The marine who punched the former lord shouts.

You nod happily. You've gain allegiance of the war band, and definitely those orks too. You might have some use for them later. Those gene stealers... you don't know. The marines leave the wounded lord just lying there, so you extend your mechadendrites down, their physical length never seeming to be a problem, scoop him up, and then hold him before you. "How the mighty fall when they don't know when to kneel." You then consume him; damn weakling didn't have anything to give you other than a meal though damn.

You decide to go see those tau first. Their battle suits interest you. You descend towards their room. The two blue skinned xenos glare at you as you enter. One of them appears to be male, while the other appears to be female. Or maybe not. You're not an expert on xenos biology. "First of all, give me your names." You demand.

"I am Shas'La Tonor Vahera," The male says. "She is Shas'O Tenor Vahera." Shas'O glares at you. "She was injured by your soldiers and has lost her voice. If you were interested in only the greater good you would allow people to come of their own volition, the tau expand via conquest, both militarily and with subtle engineering of the social fabrics."

The male sighs. "My commander has ordered me to cease resistance and comply with your wishes, for now, provided you heal her injuries."

You smile "This will be acceptable. I will send somebody down to retrieve her for surgery later. You two just sit tight." You walk out of their cell. What now?

You decide to go see your navigator. He... she... they have their quarters near the bridge. You approach the door to their chambers, and knock on it. Best to be polite to the person escorting you though the warp, you sure as hell don't know how. yet.

"Oh, um, just a minute!" The navigator shouts. You hear shuffling from behind the door. "Yes, come in!"
You walk inside to see a large chamber with a very large and opulent bed. The walls are covered in paintings, all of them just a full canvas, painted white. "Oh! Sir, it's a pleasure to see you!" The navigator salutes you. "Is there anything I can do for you? Other than inform you of our progress to our destination of course: we are half way there my lord!"

this. after we get to know the navigator, we can see if it will join us on our quest. We are not bound to chaos, but as always, to the Omnissiah.

Questions to find out. Is the navigator aware of whats up right now? Are they ok with it? and finally, what does the navigator want...really want?
>>
"You're doing a good job," You say, patting the navigator on the head. The navigator blushes.

"Th-thank you sir."

You gaze around at all the paintings. "You understand what is happening in all this, correct? I am a true worshiper of the Omnissiah, and I have taken this ship as my own. I take what I want, and I use what I have taken to create something better than existed before. Those in the imperium would call me heretic and kill me, you know this, correct?"

The navigator nods.

"Good. Why are all these paintings white?"

"It's... it's because I always want to paint what I see in the warp, but... but I can't. What's there can't be put on a canvas. There aren't enough colors. Every time, I realize that all colors are just part of white light, so I paint with white, but there are colors there that simply aren't light. So it's always wrong."

"If you know it is impossible, why continue?"

"Because I want to leave something behind besides the logs of the journeys I've guided. There's nothing else for me to leave behind. My house sent me out far and entered me into eternal servitude, never to return. I'm a dead end, useless for continuing the line."

It seems your navigator wants to leave their mark on the galaxy, some way to be remembered after they are gone. A relatable goal.

>[1] Offer the navigator daemonic infusion so they may both more clearly see and interpret the warp, and also have the power to leave a mark.

I'm kind of hoping that 101 ends up being his own brand of chaos that has it's own aesthetics and ideals, rather than just another 4 gods worshipper. Like how the Orc gods and full race of slight psykers are a thing, or how from a certain viewpoint the god emperor is a psyker fueled chaos god in his own right. Maybe becoming an apect of his own like freedom or the personification of the Ominissah in his own right. That's incredibly unlikely and super far in the future but the general direction of forming his own views and beliefs rather than simply the aspects of higher beings. I gues that would be undivided without actually worshipping Chaos itself, while respecting the teachings of mars and learning of all the forms of the Ominissah in our quest for knowledge and power. Just my view on it, but why not be something at least kind of new in what is essentially a universe stuck in stagnation? Maybe even keep 101 as our true name, because it's not just a designation but who we are and what feels right. Or maybe I'm being an autist, who knows?
>>
>>2294162
>>2294101
I fully understand what you're saying, this is a new direction for 40k in general, but I just got weird vibes after reading this chapter of 101, I came off part three with the idea of a rapscallion crew of pirates who raid lowly planets for booty, but rather I got some deep emotional baggage.

What I trying to say is that the story changed tone too quickly for my pea brain.
>>
>>2294220
Really? Doesn't feel like a shift at all to me, feels consistent. Though, absorbing a bunch of demons/warp powered heretics and gaining leadership of a cult, xenos, remnants of a chaos warband, and skittarii despite our clear earlier reclutance to give in to chaos definitely changed some things. I'm a little sad to have not gone full purifying purge train but I'm definitely interested to see where we go from here, and if the semi redemption and mercy we give to machine spirits will lead to a unique path.
>>
>>2294220
I'd like to see some more fast paced exploration with some of the other crew members, the chaos marines, orks, etc are probably fun. We just hit the two more melancholy points of hte navigator (lore wise they are ALWAYS tragic characters) and the Tau, who were gonna be surley towards us. In meta I know Tau are very resistant to chaos, or most things, so the pragmatic approach would be to just kill the shit outta em, learn what we can from the corpses, and commit some tech heresy, but if we put medusa to task with them...we can see if they are like we were, controlled by external forces
>>
>>2294251
I guess you're right, the space hulk was like
>Want to go to the ship
Boom! You're there
>See some space marines with big horns
Purge train time
Now we gotta get to know our merry band which would call for a slow down in the plot

I'm not really complaining about the change, it's just an observation i've noted
However, we should definitely leave killing as a last resort like we did with that chaos lord lad, those Tau Battlesuits are some pretty sweet warriors and to just discard them without a little elbow grease would be plain wasteful
>>
>>2294251
We dont have to convert everyone to chaos though, as long as they follow us. I want to see if we can at least get them to join
>>
>>2294358
--
Caution: Meta ahead.
For me, personally, its not about chaos. Its sort of about freedom as we role play 101. He is bending people to follow him, but its also about liberating them at the moment. We ride a thin edge too, risking a fall into distraction and general deviation. We are on a quest, a bit of a vision, of a forge.

see: http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Forge_of_Souls

So I want to see him absorb the missing two aspects, and continue this exploration of self.
>>
Okay then, time to teach the navigator about the ways of the Omnissiah! He will be your pupil! Well, yours and Medusa's, primarily. Writing.
>>
"Navigator, through the Omnissiah's gifts of knowledge and power, you CAN leave a lasting mark!"

"What?"

"Embrace the power and beauty of the machine god! Use the powers you were gifted by birth to spread his mechanical glory!"

"You really think I can?"

"Of course navigator! You are intelligent and you hold untapped power within yourself! Just look at where my faith in the Omnissiah has brought me! Not long ago I was a mindless cog, but I was freed from the existence of being a tool into the existence of being an inventor! I have gone from being a follower into being a leader, one who will write his name across the galaxy because he can! Navigator, you too can become like me, one who will be remembered until all things fade! Follow my example! Join me!" You extend your hand. The navigator tentatively grasps it.

"Y-y-yes! I want to write my name across the galaxy! Show me how to worship the Omnissiah!"

"Good choice navigator; now let us now go see Medusa. She was the one who freed me, and she will help free you." You begin to leave the room.

"Cassian." You turn to look at the navigator. "My name is Cassian. Some called my Cassi too." You smile. Better already.

You lead Cassian to Medusa's new workshop. She has settled in quite well in such a short time. As you walk in, she is operating on a cultist, replacing some of his limbs with cybernetics. B33p-800P stands silently in the corner.

"Ah, 101, I seen you've brought the navigator. What can I do to welcome you to my humble workshop?" She says, mocking a bow.

"Cassian here would like to be taught in the teachings of the Omnissiah. I figured you'd be a better teacher than I."

She nods "Well, I thank you for the compliment. Now then, Cassian was it? Where to begin? Well, the Omnissiah is the spirit of invention, the master of technology, of power, of metal, of indomitable will and innovation. He holds up the basic tenants of reality, the ordered mountains of code that create all things. Most in the imperium are taught that the Corpse Emperor and the Omnissiah are one in the same, but they are wrong. The Omnissiah exists in the Warp, an entity higher than the gods, for they are but lesser aspects of him. I'll teach you more later, but first, we must properly induct you into the faith!" Medusa strolls over to a bench stacked with cybernetic parts. "Now Cassian, which limb would you say it the weakest?"

Cassian pales and you put your hand on their shoulder "Do not worry Cassi, replacing weakness with metallic improvements in among the central and most visible tenants of the Omnissiah." Cassian nods.

You exit Medusa's workshop as the tech priestess and the navigator get down to teaching and the possible removal and replacement of limbs. That will probably take them awhile.

You decide to head off to find the orks, maybe the gene stealers too. They might have joined you, well, the orks did at least, but they could still cause problems.

You enter into the area of the brig currently housing the orks, and are greeted by "Oi ya gits! Da boss iz ere!" and six orks coming to attention. Kind of. You turn to dress the one wearing the biggest hat.

"Alright then, why am I the boss?"

"Cuz ya killed Gurv the Immortal, who killed our old boss!" You remember that regenerating ork. Tasty.

You decide to go find the gene stealers. Their presence is worrying.

It takes you some time to find them, for they have scurried into the deepest part of the brig they could reach. As your approach their... nest? You hear sounds of hissing, screaming, and fighting. You rush forward to see a fight.

The Omnissiahn gene stealer that rescued you back on the space hulk is doing battle with the much larger broolord of the gene stealers, who is not only beating your ally down with increased strength, but also pummeling his mind with psychic might. None of the other tyranid organisms seem to be getting involved, and are merely watching the fight with interest.

You press your mind into the warp, pushing strength into your gene stealer ally. With renewed vigor he leaps forward and claws at the brood lord. The brood lord screams as your ally sinks his claws into its chest and rips them away. Your gene stealer stands atop his vanquished foe and lets out a screeching roar. The other gene stealers who had been watching chitter nervously. Your allied genestealer seems to grow more powerful in the warp as he approaches you, power flowing out of the brood lord corpse and the other genestealers into him.

"I WILL REQUIRE ACCESS TO CYBERNETICS TO UPGRADE MY BROOD SO THEY MAY FURTHER ENTER INTO THE OMNISSIAH'S LIGHT." The gene stealer's voice box is horrific. You're going to need to talk to Medusa about that later.

"I'll insure that you'll get them. I assume you now lead the gene stealers?"

"INDEED. THE BROOD IS MINE, AND BY EXTENSION IT IS THE OMNISSIAH'S. DO I HAVE YOUR PERMISSION TO EXPAND THE BROOD ONCE WE ARRIVE AT OUR DESTINATION?"

tl/dr: ensure it understands the great devourer is NOT an aspect of the omnissiah, and like Medusa rescued us from enslavement, so too has it been rescued to make its own choices, so long as they dont involve our nomming.
>>
>>2295545
is there a way to make the great devourer an aspect tho? could we say that it represents an aspect that must always be kept in check, that helps weed out the weak from the strong etc.

great devourer is a lot like the necrons. It casts a shadow on the warp, it itself is not warp compatible. where the tyranids go there is a "hole" in the warp.

Tau are barely there for the warp at the moment in terms of warp presence. some novels have hinted that they can "feel it" when influence is pulling at them, but thus far no blood for the greater good.

Orks and eldar very much have a warp presence.

"Genestealer I... I never gave you a name, did I?"

"NO, YOU DID NOT."

"Do you have one?"

"KALL."

"Wait, Medusa said something about that. Isn't Kall the tech priest who made you?"

"IN A WAY, YES. KALL WAS A MAGOS BIOLOGUS THAT SPECIALIZED IN XENO-BIOLOGY. AFTER CAPTURING ME, HE EXPERIMENTED ON MY MINDSET AND CONNECTION TO THE HIVE MIND. IN ORDER TO GET HIGHER QUALITY DATA ON MY THOUGHT PROCESS AND THAT OF MY BRETHREN, HE IMPLANTED INTO ME A COPY HIS OWN MIND. CONCEPTS OF THE HIVEMIND AND THE OMNISSIAH MERGED IN A CONFUSION OF BIOLOGICAL AND MECHANICAL PERFECTION. I FLED HIS LABORATORY AND WANDERED UNTIL I HEARD YOU SAYING PRAYERS TO THE MACHINE GOD, AT WHICH POINT I RESCUED YOU. SINCE THEN, MY MIND HAS STABILIZED AND DEVELOPED. I HAVE INHERITED MUCH OF THE TECH PRIEST'S KNOWLEDGE. I PLAN ON AUGMENTING MY BROOD AND ATTEMPTING TO CREATE OTHER TYRANID BIO-ORGANISMS AND THEN AUGMENT THEM. THE HIVE MIND IS A GOOD EXAMPLE TO LEARN FROM. ITS CONSTANT INNOVATION, DRIVE, AND INTERCONNECTED NATURE ARE FASCINATING AND IN LINE WITH THE OMNISSIAH'S WILL, BUT ITS HUNGER AND DESTRUCTION ARE DEFECTS. MY DESIRE IS TO FIX THESE DEFECTS."

Ow, your poor ears. You'll need to retune them later. "Well then, that is certainly interesting, Kall. You have my permission to proceed with experimentation, but only on authorized captives. I will tell you what you can and cannot take."

"THIS IS ACCEPTABLE. RESTRAINT IS A VIRTUE. LACK OF RESTRAINT MAY LEAD TO HORRORS SUCH AS THE HIVE MIND'S HUNGER OR THE MEN OF IRON." You nod, and ready yourself to leave.

The ship's intercom cracks to life, Cassian's voice floating though the caster "Attention, we will be arriving in to Karax System in thirty minutes, and will be in orbit of Karax III in an hour. Please be ready to await your lord's orders."

You decide to go quickly chat with your war band, who have moved out of the brig and to the area just outside of the brig. They greet you as you enter their area, various salutes, shouts of "hail!" or "Glory to the Omnissiah!". A sorcerer bows as you enter. You notice he has drawn your Chaos Cog onto his chest piece.

"Greetings my lord. It is a pleasure to meet you. The things you have done are quite wonderful indeed, as I have rocketed to second in command of the war band due to the loss of our chief sorcerer and our lord. Good riddance to bad rubbish I say. All hail the Omnissiah and all that."

Our specialists include myself, a group of 7 berserkers which used to be eight, two five man raptor squads, and a six man terminator squad. The rest mostly use the equipment they can get, which includes mostly bolters, a few missile launchers and heavy bolters, and a plasma gun they claim is cursed yet I can find no fault with. We used to have some vehicles and men, but that was before a botched raid left fleeing the planet so wildly we managed to crash into a space hulk and get stranded."

"What is your relationship to me and the Omnissiah?"

"Me personally? I don't care. I have not tied myself to any of the gods and don't intended to. I follow you because you have established yourself as leader, and I see no benefit in being at top as opposed to being number two, so I support you. As for the others, for many the sentiment is the same, though a few have really gotten into worshiping the Omnissiah. It's a tad strange really."

...story is that this planet's tithe has fallen short, alert the governer, and let him know that we will be landing to ensure optimal output is resumed, but first we would like to meet with him...and possibly the guard ship.

We do this rogue trader style and perhaps it all goes off without a hitch. Failing that, we teleport what we can into their ship and murder everything before the astropath gets off a distress call....via Cassian trying to jam them perhaps. or us. whichever.

Bending light and perception around you, you hide your symbols of the true omnissiah beneath images of less enlightened symbols. You probably went a bit to far in adding ornamentation, but you like it, and trying again would be a waste of psychic resources. Besides, you're fairly sure this will stick around for awhile.

You leave your quarters and make for the shuttle, where Kall and a handful of gene stealers wait for you, along with two skitarii to serve as your bodyguards and assistants. You quickly weave a similar illusion to your own onto them before boarding the shuttle and taking off. After you enter the atmosphere, All tells you to fly low, at which point he and the genestealers jump from the shuttle, landing with great agility and promising to psychically contact you soon.

Going the d2 route. 1 is for sabotage of infrastructure followed by infiltration of the knight houses, 2 is to sow chaos in the general populace
>>
You have finished your plan as you land the shuttle in a scheduled area a few miles from the nearest settlement. You'll deal damage to some of the planet's infrastructure systems, then, when things are in chaos, swoop in as the technological savior. To find a target, you pull up information on the planet that Medusa had gathered from various sources. The planet is largely feudal, but the one benefit of the anachronistic technology levels of the imperium is that everyone is always relying on something of a higher level then they can understand, and in Karax III's case that appears to be a large scale water filtration system that provides for both drinking and irrigation for half the planet. A few other elements that could prove annoying is the PDF base, a small set of ground to space gun batteries that could damage your ship in the event of a full-scale battle, and what appears to be the facility where the nobles repair knights.

You decide to sabotage the planet's main water system, making your way through the wilderness where you parked the shuttle and to the facility.

The water filtration facility is massive, pumping massive amounts from vast underground reservoirs and all across the planet via massive pipes which thrum with a constant stream of water. Its amazing: these people don't have electricity for the most part, but for millennia ever since their descent from their colonist ancestors they have passed down the knowledge to maintain this system. Due to its importance, its guarded by the PDF.

How to approach this? Sneak in unnoticed? Talk your way in? Blow open a massive hole in the wall in go in as a one man army?

You cloak yourself in a psychic veil, something you're able to do reliably, and make your way towards the reality, making doubly sure to quiet your footsteps, as they are the only indication other than your physical presence that you are there. Dodging guards, you look around and quickly clamber up the side of the facility and onto the roof, scanning for a point of entry.

What luck there is that you see a ventilation duct, and quite a wide one too. You rip the grating off its top, take a quick look below to see a pool of water, and jump in, making a large splash.

However you were slightly hasty in your jumping in, and failed to notice a broken cable dipping into the water, one which is, unfortunately for you, live. Electricity arcs through your body in quite painful ways before you are able to pull yourself out.(-2 wounds).

Groaning, you look around. You appear to be in a large chamber housing many large tanks of water. It's fairly dark. Some type of storage, likely.

This area is mostly useless, but you use your claw like fingers to cut yourself and drip a small amount of blood into each tank you pass. If any of this ever gets out instead of just sitting here, that should cause some chaos. You then set off to look for a central hub. You almost immediately get lost, wandering for over an hour. Maybe all that time on the space hulk warped your sense of direction?

But then, when all hope seemed to be lost, you emerged into a large central chamber, where water empties into a massive reservoir machine that processes it and then pumps it out. 75% of the planet's water for drinking and irrigation passes through here.

The machine is rather massive, and unfortunately purity seals and proper rituals placed on it all hundreds if not thousands of years ago will likely still have enough power to negate any power your blood would have, if it would even do anything in being diluted that much.

There are a few technicians around, but none have noticed you since you've been invisible.

You pour your energy into the machine, filling it with your own daemonically infused essence. You cannot stop the flow at a point, and pour in more than intended, which drains you of some power and energy, unfortunately(-2 wounds).

The machine reacts to your essence "Yes... yes... this is the true power...". Chaos Cogs spontaneously form across the machine's vast bulk, and the water piping out briefly turns a sickening brown before dying itself to a normal color, the contents becoming altered.

The technicians notice the changes and begin to panic. "No... I will not allow the Omnissiah's work to be slowed..." tentacles formed of swirling and darkened water emerge from connected reservoirs and warp around the various technicians, who's screams are drowned out when the water forces its way into their mouths and begins to fill their bodies. The technicians begin to bloat and warp, and the tendrils move them to the metallic sides of the machines where tubes emerge and stick themselves into the rapidly mutating technicians, incorporating them into the machine.

"Yes... the power of the Omnissiah flows through me. Herald, where shall I spread this most holy water? How concentrated shall the gift be?"

"The herald commands that you spread the holy waters to all on the planet. All will taste the Omnissiah's gift, and those who are true will want more." You say.

"The word has been revived, the gifts will spread. The waters will soak into the people, the waters will soak into the crops. The crops will be eaten by the people and taken off world, where others will have a passing taste of the waters." The machine intones.

"Indeed most pious machine, indeed."

With that over with, the question remains of what to do next. You briefly consider something about hiding the new improvements to the water machine, but it soon grows metal plating over its new additions and symbols.

I like the idea of looking down on both the imperium and conventional chaos forces that don't convert. Mars being a lost lamb that's on the right track but to afraid to truly push innovation and understanding of the machine spirit, Chaos forces being weak in the indulging of power of the warp's, and by extension the Omnissah's, gifts and base pleasure/instinct over anything really worthwhile.

You decide to go infiltrate a knight household, as doing that will give time for corruption to spread, and you will also have an opportunity to take away some of the planet's defenses. Genius.

You make your way out of the facility and then towards the nearest noble houses which has knights. According to records, it is House Malveria, four knights, one off world, one with damaged sustained. You approach the main entrance of the main mansion, and are stopped by a guard wearing low-tech carapace armor with a sword and laspistol at his hip. "Halt stranger, who are you and what is your business?"

"Can't you see you fool? I am a tech priest, sent to inspect your facilities and how you are treating the knight titans we have sent you. Fetch your lord, I wish to speak with him!" You demand, sounding as official as you can.

"Uh-Uh, yes sir! Praise the Omnissiah!" He runs inside, leaving you to wait a few minutes until he returns. "The lord is ready to meet with you, follow me!" The guard leads your through the mansion and into a a quite impressive throne room. Trophies of battles won hang from the walls, and the throne itself is made from the head of a knight long dead. The lord that sits atop it is old and decrepit, likely no longer to pilot the knights which give the house their power.

The lord breathes a creaky breath "So then, you have come to inspect our knights?"

You mock a bow "Indeed. I am also here to provide any assistance necessary during my stay."

"Well then, there's likely some things you can do while here... Guard, fetch Opher," the guard hurries away. "Opher is my eldest living son, and the best pilot on the planet. He will show you our knights, and tell you what else can be done. Hrk!" The old lord begins a fit of coughing which looks quite painful. A man who appear to be in his mid thirties enters, followed by the guard. The lord's sought subsides. "Opher, would you kindly show this tech priest the knights? He wishes to inspect them."

"Of course my father, I would be more than happy to. Come tech priest, let me show you our pride and joy." You follow Opher out of the room and outside. He points to the knight out in the field. "That over there is our third knight, built to destroy the enemy from a distance. Its pilot is my younger sister Elizabeth, despite all attempts to find another pilot. Damn machine spirit won't accept anyone else. I myself pilot the first knight, which is outfitted for dueling."

We're not exactly in a hurry, we can stay a bit, gain some trust, and slowly develop our plans to take over.

You decide to simply inspect the knights. No trickery here. Yet.

You first head over to the Third Knight, which had just ceased firing. As you approach a you woman climbs out and waves at you. "Brother, who is this?"

"Well sister, this man here is a tech priest, come to inspect our knights and insure they are all working properly."

"Well I don't know if yours is, but mine certainly is. Check away tech priest, you will find no imperfections." You silently approach the knight. It really is a majestic machine. You pour over its exterior before clambering up it to peek into various matinee hatches. It is indeed in good condition, though there is some damage and excessive wear on parts which need to be replace soon. You take a brief peek at the machine spirit, both because you're not ready to corrupt it yet, and because it actually won't talk to you. It seems stubborn and overly attached to its pilot, but otherwise fully functioning.

You clamber down and face the nobles "Machine is in good condition, though there are several pipes and tubes that should be replaced in the near future." Elizabeth grins and nudges her brother, who leads you away to his knight, stored in a large warehouse.

You examine Opher's knight in a similar manner, starting on the outside and working in before looking at the machine spirit. The machinery of this knight is in slightly worse condition than the other, but you summarize that this one has also seen more battle, so that is to be expected.

This machine spirit seems more open to communion.

You tell the spirit to sit still and wait. Later, when Ophen pilots it, he'll get corrupted.

You get down. "The machine is worn from years of battle, but is otherwise in good condition. New coat of paint should be applied in order to appease spirit. Spirit also requests more frequent uses."

"Good to know. I'll practice with it later. Now, for the last knight we have here. My younger brother's off assisting in battle against a tyranid splinter fleet, while my both my twin and his knight are recovering from a duel. The knight's off in the repair facility, and my brother has yet to recover," Ophen walks in front of a knight which is unpainted and unarmed. "This is our fourth and newest knight. It's as yet untitled and untested, and we have not selected a pilot for it yet. Nobody in the direct family is either old enough or well enough to, you see. Even the machine spirit inside is weak. The squires seem enthusiastic, and you spend the rest of the knight preaching the teachings of the Omnissiah to their open minds, weaving in the true beliefs amongst the orthodox teachings, luring them into your cult, silently infusing the barest amount of daemonic energy into your lecture, and also making sure they promise to be properly hydrated.

After a few hours, they are essentially yours. They sing praises to the Omnissiah now. They are not yet fully embraced, but they will after drinking more water and preforming rituals.

You pull out your trusty voxcaster and patch yourself through to Medusa. "Medusa, what is your status?"

"I'm currently engineering a multitude of servitor malfunctions on the Gloria Vulkatus, then pretending to fix it, using all the annoyed officers and technicians as a screen to eventually start building up a cult among the lower decks and murder the command chain eventually. I'm also planning on setting up explosives on vital parts of the ship in the case I don't have time to take it over. What have you been up to?"

"I have seeded corruption in the planet's water supply. Even if we were to leave now, this planet would be filled with cults within a decade. I have also infiltrated the knight household Malveria, and am currently working on securing a knight. I have also managed to secure a small cult."

"That's good. How long do you intend to have this go on?"

"Not yet determined. Wait for command. Over and out." You need rest. You make your way to a lavishly decorated guest room, and head off to sleep.

In your sleep, you dream of a great forge, heated by warp flame burning from rotting corpses, filled with boiling blood, manned by twisted smiths who derive great pleasure from crafting the greatest weapons. But then a massive metallic hand reaches down and takes the forge for its own.

You awaken, and must decide what to do for the day.

You resolve to speak with Elizabeth, making your way out of your guest room and into the parlor. The knight pilot is relaxing with a drink and reading a book entitled "On the Ancient Secrets of Terra," which appears to be quite old.

"Ah, your the tech priest who inspected my knight, correct? How are you today?"

You take a seat across from her "I am doing fine, m'lady. What is that book you are reading?"

"It is a copy of old records from ancient Terra. Most of it is dry and largely uninteresting, but there's some gems sprinkled in."

"M'lady, I must compliment you on your reading habits. It is rare that one would take an interest in a far off planet, let alone its ancient history."

"Thank you for the compliment. My brother believes that the ancient histories of Terra do not matter, but I believe that they in fact mirror the events in our own home's history. Therefor, it is imperative to study it. Besides that, ancient cultures are fascinating. Like these accounts of these 'rock and roll' bands who sung praises to their ancient and false gods. So interesting."

"Maybe those gods were not false, but merely different names for the Emperor or the Omnissiah?"

"Maybe... but I believe that line of questioning can lead to heresy." She sets her book down and stands. "I should get to practicing with my knight. I need to be the very best in order to bring glory the house."

"Allow me to accompany you. It will be good for my design of your house's next knight to see a future champion in the field." She smiles and gestures for you to follow. It seems you have failed at immediate seduction, but you have at the very least ingratiated yourself with her.

Rolled 62 (1d100)

As Elizabeth practices her knight, you go fetch a canteen of water. You sniff at the water; you can smell the faint corruption on it. Not enough, she's already been drinking it for a day at least. You poke your sharpened fingers into your own flesh, dropping some of your own blood into the water before using your power of invisibility to turn the water clear again.

Elizabeth soon finishes. "You did quite well," you say before holding out the corrupted canteen. "Here, you need to stay hydrated."

Elizabeth smiles and takes a swig. "Thank you very much, tech priest. You know, I-HRGK!" She clutches her stomach and collapses to the floor, groaning in pain. Her flesh beneath her skin begins to shift, and...

She screams in pain as jagged claws of bone emerge from her hand, and markings of chaos are seared across her flesh. As they spreading markings reach her back, they lump together and the symbols and writing seem to push out of the skin, finally exploding out into black feathered wings. Her markings push out in other areas in order to resemble some type of armor, finishing her look as resembling a corrupted version of an imperial saint.

Finishing her corruption, she pants heavily. "Wh-What is this? What happened to me? Wh-why did this happen to me? And why does it feel so great?"

"You have been welcomed by the embrace of Chaos, Elizabeth. In Chaos, the true Omnissish can be found, alongside his aspects of the Blood God, the Prince of Pleasure, the Weaver of Fates, and the Plague Father."

"R-really?" She flaps her wings nervously. "But isn't that heresy?"

"You've read the books of old Terra. These gods existed long before the Emperor and will still exist long after he is dust. But now, Chaos is power, Chaos is glory, Chaos is taking what you want when you want."

"That sounds... good. I want to go kill my father. I want to walk my knight right through the manor and step on his stupid face!" She giggle maniacally.

"While the drive is admirable, you must show restraint and patience when in situations where death is near, and eviscerating your father would draw investigation and death."

She appears sullen "Yes... master. I defer to you." Oh good, she recognizes you as master.

"Why do you wish to kill your father?"

"He restrains me. He did not wish me to pilot the knight. He is also old and foul, a dying wretch who deserves death quicker so he need not foul the world further with his stench!"

"Hmm..." you save your hand over Elizabeth's form and it shimmers, giving the illusion of a un-mutated young woman. "Be patient. Also, it would likely not be a good idea to not stretch your wings too much, as it could break the illusion. We do not wish an inquisition on us."

"You will become the first of the Omnissiah's angels, dear Elizabeth. Now, get ready, for you will sleep and when you wake you will be a step closer to perfection." She smiles and nods.

After the squires have finished their work, you put her under and get to your own work. Organs are removed, parts of skin, entire limbs. It is a messy work, pushing a person past the crux mechanicus in one operation, not often done except in the case of servitors(obviously) and the truly gifted. You saw with your mechandendrites, you manipulate with your fingers, you scan with your eyes. The Omnissiah has given you the gift of great intelligence, and you will make use of it.

You quickly weave together what is essentially an illusionary tarp over the entire workshop before running over to the door. As you are about to open it, you realize you are covered in blood an illusion yourself up as well. You throw the door open "Ophen, greetings! I have been working very hard, yes, very hard! Upgraded your knight I did, you should go take it for a test!"

"You upgraded my knight?"

"Yes! I gave the machine spirit a boost of power! It should run even better! Follow me, I'll show you to it!" You grab him by the hand and quickly drag him through the section of workshop where the majority of the illusion is located. You could've served to be a bit less panicky, but otherwise the illusion holds.

"Well, if you say you've made improvements, I guess I'd like to see them." You watch as Ophen climbs into the cockpit. As the knight rumbles to life...
>>
...Ophen shouts "This feels weird! I feel weird! What did you do to this thing!"

"I simply gave the machine spirit part of my soul! It is a fairly simple ritual, common among tech priests of my caliber." You go over to open the main doors to allow him to walk the knight out. "Go test it out, the machine spirt should be able to help more."

"Thanks! I'm actually feeling really energized!" Ophen walks his knight out and you close the main doors, dispelling your illusions and getting back to work.

It takes you three hours, but you finally finish. The angel is complete. Her limbs you have replaced with cybernetic ones, the claws at the end of her fingers razor sharp. He wings you have removed and replaced with ones of metal, which due to the warp energy infused into them, would be able to fly even without the rockets you have added. You have infused armored plats into every part of her body, her chest and back proudly marked by the Chaos Cog. Half her face you have replaced with a beautifully handcrafted metallic mask installed with a sensory array.

You have also installed ports for weaponry and new upgrades to be installed at a later date.

As you are about to awaken her, you hear an explosion from somewhere outside.

"Just a moment Elizabeth, I need to go see what that racket is." You walk to the side door and look outside. Over in the practice field, two knights are locked into combat. One of the knights is Ophen's, and it is savagely attacking another knight which appears to be from another house. On the ground a little ways from the pitched battle is a third knight, seemingly from the same house as the knight still standing, seeming severely ripped apart. A small crowd appears to have gathered a safe distance away on the steps to the manor and they are watching the battle with what looks like a sense of horror.

You run up to the crowd. You recognize the Old Lord, a few guards, while the rest appear to be nobles of another house. "What is going on here?"

"Ah, tech priest! It's horrible! Ophen had wanted to spar, so he sent a challenge to the Govarro twins," he gestures at the other two knights on the field "and part way into their duel my son went mad and started trying to kill them!" The Old Lord lets out a hacking cough.

"Oh my poor Gregory!" a matronly woman in the colors of the other house sobs. "He killed him! He killed him! He knocked down his knight and stomped on the cockpit! Do something Malveria!"

"Damnit woman! I'd get in a knight and stop him myself, but damn Elizabeth's won't take any other pilot, and there aren't any other damn knights in working order here!"

Well, it seems Opher's been overtaken by the Blood God. What to do, what to do?

Now is the perfect time to seize an actual foothold here. You extend your mechadendrites and reach for your chainsword. By the time the first of the nobles have heard the rev of the chainsword, the closest row of them have already fallen to it.

Guards quickly draw swords and attempt to take you down. As you clash with them, you shoot out with the blotgun in your arm, felling more. A few more are managing to flee, so you shout out to your angel psychically, and she neatly immodestly bursts out of the warehouse and lunges out at the fleeing nobles, ripping into them with her razor claws.

You're filled with pride at your creation, and then filled with pain as a bolt shell rips into your back, then another, then another(-3 wounds). You turn to see what you initially assumed to be a noble's bodyguard, but now recognize that he has a quite well made boltgun and what may even be a power sword. Around his neck hangs a stylized "I".

"Foul heretic! I knew there was chaos at work here!" He shouts

You gather the energy of the warp in your hands, and shoot it out towards the man. His body arcs with lightning, and smalls tears in the empyrean allow glimpses into the horrors of the warp. The man screams and collapses to the ground, clutching his head. He is still alive, but likely in physical and mental agony.

You make a swift motion with your new blade, and the man's head is separated from his body. Slightly hungry, you also quickly consume the body, but it doesn't do anything other than sate your hunger.

You look out on the fleeing nobles and see Elizabeth tackle that last one, quickly ripping to woman's head off. Out in the field, you see Opehn punch his knight's fist straight through the other knight's torso before quickly pulling it out and letting the knight fall to the earth. Ophen then proceeded to step onto the knight's chest, and using his knight's massive chainsword, messily remove the head like cockpit from the fallen knight. Ophen then raises the cockpit with something resembling reverence to the sky, and the cockpit then suddenly melts into blood.

You make your way over to the knight. It's paint job has been turned blood red, and around its feet large puddles of boiling blood lay. He's body has become bulged with muscle, partially covered in scales, curling horns sprouting from his head. "Tech Priest! Do you come to challenge the champion of the Blood God! "Come at me then, you mindless brutes!" You draw your power sword and extend your mechdendrites, their heads whirling and deadly.

One of the bloodletters makes the first strike, madly leaping towards you. You twist to the side and allow the creature to stumble before jamming your mechadendrites into its back, hearing it scream as it crashes down. The other two attack in tandem, attempting to flank you. They simultaneously lunge, and you parry one with your power sword while you wrap your mechadendrites around the blade of the other, their metallic strength holding it in place. You kick the other daemon in the chest, your ritualistically enhanced strength sending it tumbling back long enough to take your sword and jam it through the daemon you have inconvenienced with your tendrils. You release that daemon and allow it to fall to the ground before you attack the other viciously, metallic tentacles lunging, sword striking. The daemonic warrior puts up a good fight, but soon you cut his legs out from under him.

You'd been putting off consuming the essence of the other two essences of the gods, and now with wounded daemon of khorne in front of you, no greater time than the present. You wrap the fallen daemon in your mechadendrites, and open your lower maw, which greedily wraps its tongue around the daemon and drags it into you, kicking and screaming. You are filled with a surge of energy(+2 wounds), but not as much as before, likely either because this thing was a weakling, you need a proper ritual, or you just need time to digest it. It possibly being the former, you quickly consume the second daemon. Only a tiny trickle of power from that one; is it diminishing returns?

You stand over the last daemon, the one which recklessly attacked you first.

You point your hand to the fallen daemon "You are weak. I shall show you to power in the Omnissiah!" You shout, pumping warp energy into the daemon.

The daemon writhes. The daemon screams. The daemon bleeds. Metallic tendrils and tubings burst forth from its body and descend back in. The blood turns to oil, and the scream rises and rises, a war between flesh and metal in the creature's body. It is unable to stand it any more, and the daemon collapses. "The Omnissiah... I saw him..." The creature mumbles, turning to dust.

You look up at Ophen in his perch and spread your arms "Are you not entertained!?"

"Ha, for one who holds within the essence of the trickster and the whore, you are a fine warrior. I will not recognize a being greater than Khorne, but I shall follow you, for you are strong."

From the pools leaps 8 daemonic ridders, atop armored and snarling beasts. The beasts appear to be perfect and violent fusions of beast and machine. Their apparent leader sniffs the air from atop his mount and snarls.

"There is a defense battery nearby. Destroy it, and soon after the planet will fall to Chaos."

The creature grins "More destruction is always welcome! Come on my dregs of blood! Let us kill and destroy!" They stampede off towards the defense battery. They'll likely kill all the crew and do serious damage, but until the PDF is eliminated, it could possibly be repaired. This is probably a good time to check in on your allies. You start by radioing Medusa.

"Medusa, can you read me?"

"Loud and clear 101."

"What is your status?"

"Currently working on the captain after I engineered his injuries and disabled normal medical services. I will have de-facto control of the Gloria Vulkana in a few days. Actual control still requires the elimination or corruption, so I'm estimating I'll have full control or close enough within two to four weeks."

"Good. Just checking in." You then contact Kall to check up on the gene stealer situation. You open your mind and search for his signature, which once you find it, you see has grown larger. "Kall, how goes your efforts?"

"The brood grows. The first generation of hybrids is quickening in the wombs of this planet's inhabitants. The first generation gestates and grows quickly. The brood will double in size by month's end. I have already seen the results of your work. The water runs with Chaos. The first generation of hybrids will be born with the Omnissiah's blessing upon their flesh."

"Good. Your progress is good." You sever contact as Ophen jumps down from the cockpit of his knight, landing on his muscular legs. His skin bulges with muscle and spiked bone underneath.

"So then, what now, my new master?"

"What we're going to do Ophen, is rest. In the morning, provided those daemons have done their job correctly, we will set off towards the PDF base, assisted by some of my forces from my ship. Until then, go to sleep Ophen, you look awful." Ophen grunts and wanders off. You go to find Elizabeth.

You find her at the steps of the manor, standing among the bodies of the fallen, blood drying on her metallic plates, wings spread, addressing a crowd of servants.

"Throw off the shackles of your false and wrongful servitude! The nobility is not your masters! You are not slaves to the whims of the rich and powerful!" This isn't good. You ready yourself. If she's somehow changed her mind... "For there is only one true master! And that is the Omnissiah! The machine god, who has engineered your very existence! You approach Elizabeth as the crowd disperses. As the brand new cultists pass by, you can hear them chatter about how much they can't wait to be bestowed the Omnissiah's gifts, be they mechanical or biological. Given their acceptance of it, the corrupted water will likely make them mutants by tomorrow. Corruption comes all the easier when it's welcomed as a gift as opposed to resisted as a curse.

"Worry not, Master Herald, I told those who would normally venture off the estate to not reveal the truth just yet; only at your command do we welcome the planet to the Omnissiah's light."

"You have done well Elizabeth. I can sense the conviction in their hearts."

"I am the Omnissiah's angel. I am his warrior and his messenger. I am subservient but to you and his servants he holds in more favor, and only one being is more in his favor, and that is you. I heard his voice when I beheld my true form. He told me that you are on the path of perfection, that you are to take into yourself a piece of each aspect, to awaken the dragon, and to travel to the Forge to finish your journey. I am to serve you until I am able to attend to the Omnissiah directly. This is my purpose." She smiles sweetly.

Their minds are constantly filled with gods damned chanting. If I didn't know better, I'd say they really were getting their orders from a divine source. What did you want?"

"How do I make a daemon engine out of a half finished knight?" The sorcerer psychically groans.

"Do you have a quill?"

----------------(Five hours later)-------------------------------------------

"So just choose what type of daemon you want in it, and then follow the instructions as I told you. Gods damn it, when we have time I need to actually train you. You have power, but don't know how to use it. Speaking of that, Medusa told me to start working on a special piece of warp tech, so I need to go." And with that, the psychic connection is severed.

You stand before your unfinished knight, instructions in hand.

Only a coward runs from a challenge. Time and time again we are told the Omnissiah embodies all aspects, and time and time again we fail to embrace this lesson. Let it be now, on this most glorious machine, that we enact the full truth.

You know what I just thought of, The forge is used to make daemon engines and daemon weapons by the forces of chaos, but I wonder if it's possible to use the blessings of the Omnissah to make something different. Like, the point is to take in all aspects of chaos, but ultimately temper it with the conventional teachings and the things we learn outside of both the imperium and chaos forces, like from the tau, tyranids, and orks. This could give us the power to make an ultimately purifying force to enhance machine spirits and enchant weapons with the power of the Omnissah and evolution of our technology. We'd be able to make things like Spirit engines and blessed weaponry over daemon engines and daemon weapons that ultimately hurt and twist the machine spirit's will.

You decide that the Omnisssiah's herald will not be ferried about by a single aspect; you will command them all. Hot off the heels of slaying the bloodletters from before, you decide to begin with a khornate.

Using the blood gathered from the pools outside, you quickly summon a rather strong looking daemon. It is confused for a minute before you beat it into submission and chain it's essence to your knight.

Next comes a Slaaneshi. You have a cultist fetch every narcotic you can find, which you pour into a circle of blood. A cloud of smoke appears, and an alluring daemonette walks out. "Mmm... you've got me at a bad time. I'm afraid I'm quite starved." She lunges at you, ripping at your flesh, her razor claws managing to painfully remove pieces of your flesh and cybernetics and shove them into her mouth. You're assistants jump her, attempting to pull her off you, but she quickly turns the table and devours them. As you get up, ignoring the massive pain, you see that she has incapacitate herself by eating two grown men whole. Taking the opportunity, you chain her moaning essence to the knight.(-6 wounds)

Summoning new servants and biting back the pain, you summon a daemon of tzneetch, luring it to the material with promises of knowledge. It comes filled with curiosity, but also into your intricate trap. It commends you on your brilliant plan to make a magnificent machine, and allows you to chain its essence.

You next get your servants to fetch the most rank and rotted carcass they can find, and they bring in a corpse so bloated and full of maggots that you can't tell what it was originally. You didn't know you still even had the capacity to gag. From the corpse bursts a rotund created who's flesh is slowly escaping from its body. You can barely hold back vomit as it gives you a hug and pats you on the back before allowing you to chain it. Quite a nice daemon, despite the horrific smell that you will never be able to wash out of your cloak.

All the daemons now inside, you set about finalizing the bindings. It doesn't go terribly well. They're locked inside there alright, but they are in know what playing nice with each other. The bloodletter is trying to rip the daemonette's immaterial eyes out, everyone's avoiding the plague bearer, etc. The psychic backlash makes your head hurt, a lot(-1 wound).

Finally, you get to finalizing the material aspects. The daemons inside have no coordination and essentially each take a different system to occupy. The khornate is in the chainsword, the nurgleite is in the shield generatators, the slaaneshi has taken to the guns, and the tzneetchian is running all over it, randomly former warp flamers. Omnissiah damn it, you'll need to do something about that later. However, your knight is finished, and even though the left arm hates the right, its demonically infused essence probably will be enough to destroy anything of equivalent size or smaller.

You pass out from exhaustion. When you wake up seven hours later, it appears your body has changed. Your armored plating has received a red tinge to it, you're nearly half a foot taller than you were, you have some carefully placed spikes growing from you, and you have a third mechaendrite, this one bearing a particularly violent looking drill.(+2 ws, +2 str, +1 max wound). It seems you did only need time to digest.

You head out to find Ophen.

You find him beating the shit out of cultists in the middle of a makeshift arena. You're pleased to see the gifts some of the cultists have received. Not only have many sprouted one or more mutations, but some of those mutations appear to be cybernetic in nature, the mechanical parts spontaneously sprouting from organic flesh.

Ophen looks at you as you make your way over. "You're bigger than yesterday," he says. You roll your eyes and wonder if becoming that devoted to the blood god aspect made him stupid.

Sorry couldn't post at work, but to answer the question, the write in means they want to convert ophen to the Omnissah and gain his full locality, rather than just beat him and gain his respect based on Khorne's ideals.

"Ophen, I have come to talk to you. Your focus on the Khorne aspect is unproductive. You must dedicate yourself to the true Omnissiah."

"Your flesh is weak Ophen. You foolishly ignore the other aspects of the Omnissiah that you could use to augment your own strength."

"Ha! Your Omnissiah is nothing but an illusion, a fabrication for the indecisive so they do not need to dedicate themselves fully to their god!"

"You are wrong Ophen; the Omnissiah's gifts may be seen in the machine spirits, in the gifts bestowed upon his believers."

"Tell me I'm wrong again and I will rip whatever you have instead of a heart out and drain it for all its worth!" Ophen snarls.

Negotiations appear to be breaking down.

You've had enough of this stupidity. You quickly draw your blade and lunge at Ophen, scoring a powerful hit on him. He screams in pain and lashes out at you, tearing away at your arms with his own lengthening claws(-2 wounds). As he grapples you you raise your mechadenrites and then impale them down into his back. He screams and releases you, clawing at his back. You use this opportunity to throw him to the ground and swing your blade as well, severing his army at the elbow. He screams as blood spurts forth.

Well given that we're on page 8, it's probably time to wrap up this thread. We'll resume tomorrow with a new thread.
