For the first time in many days, you sleep without Nightmares. Instead of consuming darkness, you dream of floating in soothing light, feeling fluffy all around your body.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Sunday

You slowly wake up. On one hand you're well rested like never before, on the other you still feel a couple more minutes of sleep wouldn't hurt. You can't be bothered to open your eyes yet anyways.
With your eyes still closed, you are slowly becoming aware of your immediate surroundings. It's quite bright in the room already, which is probably what woke you up, and also a little warmer than you're used to. What's more, there's something else laying next to you, on your left arm. Whatever it is, it's very light and... breathing?
You still can't be bothered to open your eyes, but you turn onto your left and try to feel out what it is.
...it's soft. And fluffy. It's like nothing you've touched before, the sensation itself enough to make you want touch it some more.

...It's some animal then? Maybe a cat? A little big for that, but who knows these days.
You decide to leave it alone for now, it seems to be sleeping and you respect that.
>[sigh]...
...what?
The thing lifts itself from your arm and moves off the bed.
You finally open your eyes, only to see Wisteria in a snow-white bathrobe enter your bathroom.
...what just happened?
---------------------------------------------------------------------
After Wisteria comes out of the bathroom, clad once again in yesterday's attire which dried throughout the night, you decide to take a shower yourself. While she didn't seem to mind, you forgot to take the shower before sleep and at least to yourself you kinda stink.
She hung back the robe exactly where it was before, huh.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
You go out after drying yourself, just to find Wisteria laying on your bed again. When she hears you go out, she lifts herself up on her elbows and look at you.

You decide to talk with Wisteria some more.
Sooooo... how did you get your Xyz monster?
She looks at you, moderately surprised.
>I'm... not sure, actually.
She takes out her Photon Strike Bounzer. The card does not drive you to the same reaction as when you saw it yesterday.
>When I was... getting mad alone in the park a couple days ago, it just... came to me.
Her expression shows confusion and uneasiness. She seems to be thinking really hard about her words, as if she never thought about the situation before.
>It's wierd but I-I heard it talk to me. It talked about power, it talked about me, it talked about... you.
The look in her eyes begins to scare you.
>It... It told me I don't need you, that I don't need other people, that I only need myself, my deck, and it. I came where the voice went from, and I saw it, and it saw me. And it talked more and more, promising me more and more power, promising me victories, promising more such powerful cards if I did well, and I... and I...
Ok what the fuck is going on here.

Kinda rando question, is there any way to combine Rescue Cat and Void Ogre Dragon into one deck? Like some kinda Dark Beasts or universal synchro focussed deck?
>>
>>2324982
Honestly, it depends.
There is one Dark attribute beast type tuner.

"Dark Tuner Dark Ape"

However, it's a card exclusive to the anime/tag force 4.

So, Playmaker, do you plan on using any of the cards that were in the anime or video games but were never printed? And if so, what's the call on which ones?

Because with this one we could Rescue cat into uniflora and dark ape, uniflora into rescue cat, rescue cat into a couple Mine moles, summon VOD and... draw... two cards...

Okay, maybe we should use lock cats in this case but you get the idea.
>>
>>2324991
VOD seems like it's more suited to infernity or maybe dark world than beasts. But someone more familar with the game might know more.
>>
>>2324996
VOD was originally from the Manga as one of the Duel Dragons. It was Kalin's, so infernity is the closest thing we've got to a family. But at the end of the day, it doesn't particularly belong to anything but itself.
>>
>>2324998
Yeah I figured it might be based on the effect so it's the Manga version of hundred eyes then?

I guess the solution would be to make a general deck that includes enough beasts for a rescue cat play but also enough dark monsters for easy VOD use. But that might end up in a case of truing to do too much at once.
>>
>>2324991
Dark tuner Dark ape is the one that Devack uses, correct? To bring out Zeman?
>>
>>2325008
I mean, the anime version of 100 eyes dragon was hilariously overpowered. Kalin didn't even get close to using it's full strength.

The problem with dark monsters that aren't beasts being thrown in is that it locks out the Mystical Beasts chain. They don't work if there's a non-beast in the grave.
>>
>>2325009
Yes it is.

What about running some blackwings? They're dark type tuners arn't they?
>>
>>2324991
How do you intend to summon VOG with a Dark Tuner anyways?
>>
>>2325016
It requires a dark tuner as a summoning condition.
>>
>>2325018
But Dark Ape is a Dark Dark Tuner.
>>
>>2325016
Not him, but as far as i'm aware, the dark synchro monsters summoned with those cards were changed so you just need a Dark attribute tuner + whatever else. Zeman and 100 eyes are both like that. By logical extension, the dark tuners would have been redone as dark attribute tuners.
>>
>>2325020
The dark tuners were redone so that they can only be used for the synchro summon of a dark attribute synchro monster.
>>
>>2325022

thanks

I'm telling you we've been going through the same stuff. I thought I was going crazy, but we're not. It makes a bit more sense now.
Your ears catch a distant rattling.
Wisteria's looking intently at you, something akin to relief in her eyes.
You try to tell her more about all the wierd shit with duel spirits, but the rattling gets louder by the second, quickly starting to overwhelm your voice. You turn to see Seto Kaiba himself, jumping from the helicopter without a parashute.
The series of gasps from the uninformed is quickly cut off by a white dragon hologram catching the madman and moving him onto a pre-prepared platform.
>Good morning, duelists.
His expression doesn't really say that.
>I'm here today because I will be unavailible during the tournament's finals on Wenedsday.
>As such, I've decided to take my chance to stir up your competition right now.
>First off...

The dragon appears once again, and carries Kaiba off who knows where.
As soon as he's gone, eyes turn towards you.
No, not you.
The nr 5 in the rankings.
They start running towards her, eager to be the first ones to get the increased points. Wat do.

You discard Red-Eyes to Zombie Master and revive Plaguespreader Zombie.
You tune Plaguespreader and Zombie Master.
The once beaten Demon King rises again, ready to reclaim his past glory!
2 plus 4 is 6! Synchro Summon! Here comes the once and future Dark Ruler, Revived King Ha Des!

You put Zombie World back onto the top of your deck to revive Plaguespreader Zombie. You tune Uni-Zombie and the 2 of Wisteria's frogs.
From the Void between universes, an ancient evil rises once again! Insatiable, Unstoppable, Uncontrolable! I synchro summon...
Void Ogre Dragon!

This time, your Dragon appears before you normally, without anything to distinguish it from othe Synchros. Wierd.
You move to Battle Phase and attack BOXer with Revived King Ha Des.
BOXer is destroyed without trouble.
You pass.

You activate your set Zombie World, turning all creatures on the field and in the graves into undead. You banish the other Mezuki to revive Void Ogre Dragon and move to battle phase.
You attack with Granmarg and Void Ogre Dragon.

Also remember MST is a quick-play Spell so we could also set it for Wisteria to use on her turn if she needs it - but this risks it getting destroyed if they have backrow removal, so yeah.
>>
>>2328482
thirding

>>2328491
I think we should save MST for a zombie world play, allow wisteria to nuke it for her own turn so we dont fuck her over
>>
>>2328478
Set rat, chain, and mst.
>>
>>2328491
>>2328495
I lean towards holding onto it if/ when weavle drops his dna surgery/ insect barrier combo personally.
>>
>>2328495
>>2328502
Yeah I'm just reminding that that is also something we can do for tag duels. But I'm sticking to clutching that MST for when we REALLY need it later.
>his DNA Surgery / Insect Barrier combo
Zombie World outright fucks with that, if we can play it on top of DNA Surgery. I think the second one overrides the first, not sure how that works. It would also fuck with Rex and his dinos.
>>
>>2328502
Isn't DNA surgery banned?
>>
>>2328535
implying banlists
>>
>>2328509
>>2328535
Not sure if there is a ban list I assumed it was anime rules without one.

I wasn't sure if zombie world trumps DNA and the like so I figured better to be cautious.

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Card_Rulings:Zombie_World
>Vs. "DNA Surgery": Which ever card is activates last has its effect applied (although "Zombie World" will continue to affect the Graveyard and prevent Tribute Summons). Also, if "DNA Surgery" is activated after "Zombie World", then Tribute Summoning an originally Zombie-Type monster is still allowed (even though it is a non-Zombie-Type monster when it is on the field).
>>
>>2328535
>>2328540
>>2328548
>If "Zombie World" or "DNA Surgery", ect, is face-up on the field and makes all monsters on the field Zombie-Type, and the effect of "Archfiend Zombie-Skull" is applied that prevents the Zombie-Type monsters from being destroyed by card effects, then when "Black Rose Dragon" is Synchro Summoned and its effect that destroys all cards on the field is activated, even though "Archfiend Zombie-Skull" and "Zombie World" would be destroyed simultaneously [sic], "Black Rose Dragon" still treated as a Zombie-Type, so it is not destroyed by the effect and remains to the field.
>>
>>2328558
Ahh no worries them. Still worth holding onto in my mind. Ideally rat will allow Wis to get a monarch out on her turn and if it's mobius we're in a good position come ours I think.

Mobius the Fuck-Your-Backrow Monarch would be a big help, yeah

Isn't odd eyes rebellion dragon basically a turbocharged dark rebellion xyz dragon w/ pendulum? So Void Ogre Rebellion Dragon would be a turbocharged dark rebellion w/ void ogre's ability to jam spells and traps but stronger. That sounds kinda hilariously busted
>>
>>2335943
That's why when summon it when wisteria gets kidnapped or hurt.

Or she summons it I suppose, after all no one but her can beat her gerrie.
>>
>>2335041
Rebellion would be pretty sweet kind of similar to VOD and fits the theme of our ace being these violent dragons pulled up from the void or hell.

What ever it is I just hope it aligns with VOD in some manner or form. The other thing I'm hoping for is VOD contacting us again at some point so we can get an impression of what it wants.
>>
>>2337141
And then, there's this cat, who we occasionally punt to get better animals with.
>>
>>2337148
Yeah its a shame they don't mesh really. Though RC would be able to pull mats for Rebellion easily.

Just a shame VOD requires that dark tuner really.
>>
>>2337154
I maintain that we can work something out. There's no particular reason that Playmaker can't add in anime/manga only cards, hell he could throw in some completely original ones if he felt like it.
>>
>>2337157
There are ways around it true. I see the next structure deck R has a field spell that turns all cards on the field to dark attribute.
>>
>>2337171
Darkest Diabolos would be a hell of a boss monster but I think that'd make Gerard evil.
>>
>>2337627
Not sure I understand the function of the deck looking at it myself. But I was just observing that there was a card there that could be useful.

Still that said I'm partial to fiends myself, no one who isn't a jobber ever gives a dedicated fiend deck any love.
>>
>>2340282
technically speaking Jaden as the King in the Yubel arc used a fiend deck, with the dark heroes. But either way, can you link the structure deck? I'd like to have a look myself
>>
>>2341055
http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Structure_Deck_R:_Curse_of_the_Dark

I'm guessing its a card advantage/ tribute combo looking at the Virus cards.

I forgot about Jaden, and Yubel herself ran fiends. No major characters running a full archetype deck though.
