Welcome my friends to another Race of Hera Quest!

I am your humble host, SwordAnon.

You will be playing the role as a member of the almighty race of Hera. The [Hera raised] [mutant] known as Gyro.

The standard voting system is in place. We’ll be using a dice system for success or failures. The best outta five rolls with the standard being 1d20’s for actions. Ones and twenties being crit-fails and crit-successes.

“Well. Good luck Pamela. I hope Master Pitaya helps you like he helped us.” You say, looking down at the dragon’s sacred tower down below the Lookout of the Gods. Thanks to your far-seeing skills, you got a good look at the immediate area of the lands below you, but further sight beyond sight required focus.

“Thank you Master Gyro. I intend to grow strong enough that my Kai-chan doesn’t need to come to my rescue, and next time I’ll be the one who saves him.” She looks over and down where you were previously looking at, although her words were brave the Princess did show signs of being unnerved.

“Well. The Saiyans who will take these two criminals will arrive soon. So you may wait here and meet them or begin your journey to meet with Master Puntia. Your choice.” Kami said, smiling to you as he leaned against his staff. Your sister Kado and Miss Fortune were speaking a bit of ways, the djinn giving a last bit of advice to your older sibling.

Alright moving on...

“Sure, I’ll stay. It’ll be interesting to meet some other Saiyans.” Gin Sin didn’t exactly leave a good impression for his race or his role as a Salada officer. You were also curious to see just what other Saiyans were like and if they were just as strong as Gin Sin or possibly stronger.

“Well I’m going to go…” Pamela said, giving you all a polite curtsey. “It has been an honor and I thank you all for your aid.” She said, before she headed over to the side of the Lookout and gave a salute before leaping off and flying down to begin her training.

“I’ll get the prisoners.” Fortune said, skipping away and humming a song to herself.

“I think I’m going to go ahead, Gyro-kun.” Kado said, biting her lip. “The last fight really showed how little we know and how small we are.” She said, in a tone you rarely heard your usual up-beat sister ever go into. One of doubt and uncertainty.

“Oh. Ok, sis. Be safe.” You say, and your sister quickly pulls you into a hug. Like Pamela, she waved before flying from the Lookout. Leaving you with only your mentor Kami.

“They’ll be here soon.” He tells, answering your question before you could even ask.

“Right...meeting Saiyans not trying to kill me will be fun. Maybe we can spar?”

“Perhaps….” The Guardian of Hera’s eyes squinted and he seemed to become distracted. He gazed to the world of Hera below you, and had a ‘Far-Seeing’ look in his eyes.

“Something wrong, sensei?” You approach him and he holds up his hands.

“...I thought I saw something...but it vanished before I could locate it.” The elder Hera-seijin was interrupted by the sound of something much louder then you had ever heard in your live. Above you a large, flying machine that rumbled through the sky whooshed down and came to land down on the lookout before you both. It doesn't seem threatening...yet.

The ki senses you have extend out, probe the area and you can feel the power of two chi forces within the ship. Both Saiyans like Gin Sin, but were much different in power. One was about as strong as you, may be closer to your sister. The other however on the surface was strong but there was a well of strength well beyond that once you probe deeper. You feel a familiarity with something you’ve only just encountered. The ship opens and revealed two male figures, both with black hair. One an older man and the one that was slightly stronger than you was the first to get out. He held a simple cane in one hand that he used to make his way to you. Behind him was the other person you had sensed out. A young man, most likely around your own age and much smaller.

“Welcome and salutations to Planet Hera.” Your mentor says, giving a polite bow to the approaching Saiyans.

“I wish we only came here under better circumstances.” The man said, as the boy caught up to him. They both gave their own bows and then introduced themselves, “I am Captain Renso and this is my newest recruit into the Sadala Defense Force.”

“Corporal Cabba, reporting for duty!” The boy said, saluting to you both. You look at him unsure if he was serious.

“I am the Kami of Hera and this is one of my apprentices and one of my best students, Gyro.” Kami said, nodding to you. You feel a slight warmth run across your face at the compliment but you don’t let it go to your head. Though your sister will hear it later….

“Oh?” Renso asked, looking at you. “The Corporal here is one of the strongest recruits in the Sadala Army. “ Renso said, chuckling and you could see Cabba react much in the same way that you did. “Well, I’ll apprehend Gin-Sin and his partner.” Renso said, and Kamii directed him to where Miss Fortune also went off too earlier. Leaving you alone with Cabba.

“So…” You ask, awkwardly after a long moment of silence.

“Yes?” Cabba asked, folding his arms behind his back and looking at you with a focused face.

“What do you do? The Sadala Defense Force.” You ask, curious about such a name.

“We are a sub-group of the Sadala Army and we deal with extraterrestrial forces that threaten Planet Sadala and we maintain an elite membership of the strongest and brightest into our ranks.” He explains,, although you only really get the gist of it. ‘Elite Warriors’ and ‘Space’ being the key things you get out of it..

“I see. I kinda do something similar. I help the Guardian of Hera with anything that can be a threat to our word.” Your comparison was apt and Cabba agreed.

“In a sense, you dealt with an errant member of our team but in a way you performed a job better than Gin-Sin ever did…” Corporal Cabba gave a nod of approval. “You’d and your team would make good members of the Sadala Defense Force.” He then mentions they also did volunteer work for the poor, built shelters for the homeless and made sure to provide relief aid to crisis victims as first responders. T“hough we generally have only allowed Saiyans, it’s not against the rules for aliens to join. You’d just need to pass the 7 Interplanetary Combat Training Grades. ”

“Thank you, couldn’t of done it without my friends though.” You say, thinking back to the power of the potara fusion and the form you gained by witnessing Pamela transform. Both pushed you to strengths much higher than you’ve ever been before and you were only just now getting a handle on them. “...I’ll think about it but I still have my own training to complete here for now. We’re sorta the only Defense Force Hera has.”

“I understand...not all worlds can be lucky to have a protector. It is fortunate to have you and your friends.” Cabba said, and meant to say more but a struggling Gin-Sin and Enchanto, followed by Renso, Kami and Miss Fortune all returned.

“Good idea on taking their technology, they would have used it to escape long before we would have gotten here.” Renso says, pushing the two to the ship. “We’ll find their ship and tow it once their tried by King Salada.”

“Hurm…whatever fate has for them it will not bring back the lives lost….for now we must work on rebuilding.” Kami answered before turning to you. A serious look shadowing his dark blue face/ “Gyro, I’m afraid I must keep you from your training. The disturbance I felt earlier, it’s returned but there is something else with it. Powerful and I’m afraid our world may be endangered.” His words surprised even Gin-Sin who sat in his seat, next to Enchanto as he looked at you with a look of killing intent in his eyes. Enchanto crossed her legs and simply raised her nose to you in disgust.

“Oh? What kind of danger?” Cabba asking, overhearing his words. “Perhaps I can help?”

“What exactly are we dealing with?” You ask, and Kami in the quickest manner placed his hands on your forehead and showed…

You see images pass through your mind and see what Kami was worried about. There was a large, hulking figure that was thrashing one of the larger cities on Hera. A feline creature, it had sharp claws, teeth and a body of fur with a mane around it’s head. It was a large, anthropomorphic cat and it was causing enough devastation that the local town’s defenses were quickly overwhelmed. Buildings were being sliced apart and so was anyone who didn’t get away in time. The beast man roared, yelling something about the, ‘survival of the fittest’ and ‘only the strong survive’ that only makes your blood boil. You got a lock on the cat man’s chi but the other person your mentor showed you wasn’t one you could lock on. Even trying to look at him, you felt something ‘censoring’ your minds eye and obscuring him as a mass of blurred images.

“Now, now. No one likes a peeping tom…” A deep, altered voice said when you got it’s attention. It raises blurry hand and you feel a strong pressure knock you out from Kami’s vision. Whatever it was, your mentor felt it too also being rocked back. Getting caught by Miss Fortune, he gripped his staff to stay upright. Cabba caught you in time, keeping you from bouncing your head on the Lookout - although it wouldn’t have been the first time that has happened to you, nor the last. Your head pounds slightly, but you got the location needed to instant transmission. All you need was a moment to focus and you and whomever you touched would be instantly transported there.

“What did you see?” Cabba asked, a look of concern crossing the Saiyan Corporal’s face.

“...A big furball. Attacking my people. He’s got sharp claws and he looks mean.” You answer, feeling a throb of a headache form on the right side of your head. “Someone else..someone I couldn’t see clearly but he could see me.”

“Yes..in all my time as Guardian of Hera, only once have I’ve scryed someone and they’ve been aware of me….” The old guardian said, and his face suddenly flushed. “Lady Vados was quite cross with me, but luckily Lord Champa thought it was funny…” He says, referencing two names you had never actually heard before. The God of Hera straightened and then looked to you with a stoic look.

“I’m going to declaw that beast and figure out who that was.” You affirm, slamming your fist into your hand.

“Me too. As a member of the Sadala Defense Force, I won’t idly sit by and let innocent people get hurt. Not when I can help.” Cabba said, but pausing to look back to Renso who nodded and smiled at him.

“I like that attitude, Cabba. I’ll deal with these two and return when I’m done.” Renso said, giving you all a salute. Cabba returns it and you repeat it although with less stiffness. “Be careful out there Cabba, I shouldn’t be too long.” With that, the ship closed, and lifted up before blasting off into the bright emerald sky.

“Alright. Do you wanna go now or do you need to prepare?” Cabba asks you, holding up a fist to show he was ready.

“I…”

“No. I’m good to go.” You say, and rest a hand on Cabba’s shoulder. Focusing your mind, you can feel yourself step through the ‘Teleportation Zone’ with the Saiyan. Crossing the world in a moment, you reapper a safe distance to the energy of the terrorizing beast. Cabba is wary, and the devastation around you is not a good sign. You look at the bodies of the people who were too slow, and their motionless, torn up forms is enough to remind you that you didn’t have to go easy on such a being. You let yourself mourn for a moment for the lost lives but the Saiyan's voice brings you back to the present.

“This is your world, so I’ll defer to your point Master Gyro.” Cabba says to you, and after a complete ocular assessment of your immediate area. No sign of the censored man who spotted you from the vision, but the beast man was close.

“Stop this cat from taking any more lives.” You answer, and your white fiery aura explodes around you as you take off. Cabba follows behind, and the pair of you land on a building in time to see the hulking beast tower of a group of civilians.

“My my….what shall you ever do…” A deep pitched voice buzzed in your ear, and your headache throbbed with each word. Holding your head, you try to place pressure on the pain but the ache simply overrode any other thought, forcing you to concentrate only on the ache. “Can you save them all, Hero Gyro? The voice pushed deeper, and as you force it away you can barely sense Cabba move to your side as you fall to your knees. "Now, shall we begin the experiment?" Then the pain vanished, and your senses cleared. The beast down below, roared and you know now it’s time to take action, you…

Cabba is Special Forces for a reason

>>2366412
“Time for a game of cat and mouse... “ You stretch your legs and then direct your plan to the Corporal Saiyan. “Get him away from the people and I’ll get them to safety.” You straighten and then with a primal shout you both take off. Cabba flew directly for the man beast, just as another Herasei-jin victim was about to be taken by it’s claws. Hitting the beast in his center of mass, sending him flying but only hitting him with One Punch.

“Man….” You say, surprised at the Saiyan’s strength but you quickly enact your plan. Teleporting to the people, some of them are quick to recognize you. One even calling your name, a Hera-seijin Soldier. Though his weapon was gone, but he looked in good shape. “Sir, can you get these people to all hold hands? I’m going to get you all to safety.” You say, and the man nods. Getting everyone’s attention and turning to you.

“That thing’s a monster Gyro. It wiped out two battalions without a sweat. It snapped our spears like toothpicks and cut apart our swords and shields like a hot knife through butter.” The man shook his head, but you rest a hand on his shoulder and give him a look of reassurance.

“You did good, soldier. I’ll make sure none of this is in vain.” You close your eyes, concentrate on a nearby power source that was far enough away. You paused, searching but the lion beast wasn’t going to allow any chance at escape. Cabba raised his hands as the bipedal lion began to charge.

“Galick...CANNON...FIRE!” He roars and you quickly find the closest and strongest ki source as the Saiyan’s violet attack struck against the lion’s body. You didn’t stick around to see, vanishing and reappearing with everyone outside the city limits. Meeting with an oncoming military force that were ill equipped to handle such a being you just met.

“What in the name of the Kai's is going on here…?” The man’s who ki you locked on was the strongest of the soldiers. He had an ornate sword at his hip, a goatee and wore the typical clothes you expected from a soldier.

“Commander. The city was attacked by a monster. We evacuated who we could, but trying to hold the thing off was impossible.” The injured soldier says, giving him a crossed arm salute. The Commander returned it and looked at the city with a grim visage. The hurt soldier was quickly intimidated by the officer’s presence but he didn’t forget to mention you. “Sir. This is Gyro, he’s the one who saved us.”

“Hm…” The Commander looks at you, his dark eyes almost looking through you. “...I appreciate the help, Gyro but step aside and allow the Royal Military handle this.” He directed the civilians you saved to be taken to the medical tents that had been made much further back. You could stop them, but you knew trying to talk sense out such a large group would be futile. Instead you focus on Cabba’s ki and teleport back. Leaving the Commander and his men astonished at your vanishing act.

You find Cabba’s doing well, dodging and gliding around the savage sharpened shredding machine. He spots your return and with a backflip, he kicked the beast back and lands next you with a relaxed graced.

“He’s strong alright, but I’ve fought stronger. Together we can take him out.” Cabba affirms, powering up and you do the same.

Unsheathing the black blade, you ready yourself in a defensive stance. Bringing the blade up, you tightly grip the hilt of the sword. Cabba took an attacking stance next to you. The two of you ready yourselves as the lion man stalked forward.

“Your pretty strong, but I am the King of Beasts! I will crush you vile humans no matter what color of skin you have!” The Beast King roared, and his body began to grow. Gaining more muscle mass and the furs he wore were torn away from this transformation. His eyes lit up bright red and he let out a primal roar. You didn’t even need to sense his ki to tell he’d gotten stronger. Then his claws fully extended out, long dagger like blades that quickly bore down on both you and Cabba. You raise your sword, your arms vibrating with each strike. “Lion Slash! Meteor Shower!” The blows from his claws came at you faster and stronger than before. You don’t know how long you can guard against something like this. In your current state you felt outmatched but using Pamela’s Monstrous form wasn’t accessible while you were being attacked.

“HA!” Cabba struck from the master of animal’s blind spot. Just in time as you feel warm wetness run down your hands. Then the tingle of pain as you and your body realize you had been struck several times.

“Ngh…” Using the katchin blade to hold yourself up, you count nearly 3 long cuts on your body that you somehow didn’t register when in combat. “H-how?” You ask as the three spots blossomed red flowers of blood. They weren’t life-threatening, just three flesh wounds but it showed there was gaps in your defenses that someone like the large cat man could take advantage of.

Cabba was doing much better, he used the feline’s new size and anger against him. Striking vital spots, and avoiding the claws with acrobatic flips and spins in the air. You began to watch the pair battle, noting that Cabba wasn’t just avoiding the claws themselves but any area where he struck. You focus, and then see it! The distortions in the air! The lion’s claws had slicing with such force they sent out invisible cutting strikes. You look at the two fighters and then you look at your sword…

Placing both hands on the pommel of your longsword you take a moment to steady yourself. Breathing in you inhale for a moment and center yourself. Pulling power from your surroundings you build it into a spinning circle above your head. From your fusion with the Prince of Kais you have memories of how to mold the energies more efficiently. It connects to your ki points and energizes you. The cuts aren’t healed instantly but they quickly no longer cause you pain. Then with your body refreshed you feel out this new foe. His ki is different from what you’ve normally sensed out. The ki he had before while strong was much a Saiyan’s, but now he seemed to morph like Pamela’s Monstrous form. It was animalistic of course, and the beast man went into a berserking state against Cabba. The Special Forces Saiyan held his own, using hand-to-hand combat that kept the royal lion man from tearing into him.

You feel a familiar sensation within you when observing the lion’s power. There was a barrier of power you could feel beyond your monstrous form but it was still isolated from you. Your full power was still locked off, but your body had an odd way to adapt with how you copied Princess Pamela. You close your eyes, locking on and focusing squarely on the lion man. Counting your breathing your mind is then cleared of all distractions and thoughts. The primal power that exudes from this beast wasn’t natural nor from your world. Whoever or whatever that voice was being the most likely thing that brought it here. It called you ‘humans’, a race you don’t recognize but something about it is familiar.

“Hey! Pussy cat!” You shout out, catching both of their attentions. Saiyan and Lion freezing in the fight they were engaged in their fight. “Who brought you here?”

“I GO WHERE I WISH!” He roars, charging you. Uh-oh. You made him mad now. "RIP & TEAR!"

You inhale, waiting for the the animal man to attack. You raise the long sword made of invulnerable metal and strike where you sense his ki approaches. You side-step around him and follow the berserking beast’s energy to avoid his destructive approach. Evey strike was quickly deflected or dodged. Using your instant transmission you manage to move through his attacks and give him a cut to return one he had given you. He didn’t like that, roaring and then lunged at you from above. His claws becoming a sharp whirlwind that bore down upon you. Cabba ran next to you, raising his hand and a clear barrier formed that took the brunt of the maned monster’s claws. This beast was a challenge, not as strong as Gin-Sin but he was taking you and Cabba on in his enraged state. You feel your power boil in your stomach, the monstrous form inside of you recognize something familiar with this. A predatory instinct that wanted blood and you felt it the moment you transformed into that crocodile like form.

“How long can you hold him?” You ask Cabba, who holds both hands up and he winces as he begins to struggle holding the lion man in place.

“Not...long...hope you got an idea.” Cabba pressed his hands up and sent a wave of ki to reinforce his shield, but cracks began to show.

“Right. I might..” You grip the hilt of the longsword even tighter.

“Hold the barrier, but move when I attack.” You sheath your sword and you are bathed in the white ki flame before you instant transmission above the feline freak. You shoot at him, spinning and torpedoing fast enough that he can’t react in time to you crashing into his back. There’s a roar of surprise and pain but it doesn’t stop you. Spinning faster, and faster you push and break him through the barrier.

“RAAAAAAARGH!” The Beast King yelled out, before the two of you create a crater into the ground the below. Cabba got away in time, shouting out your name but you lose the rest of his words through the sound of your attack.

“HAAAAAAAAAARGH!” You roared and you push yourself your power to maximum. The fur on the immediate area you hit is lit aflame by the bursts of white ki flames that surround you. Then bringing your hands back and fill your hands with ki drawn in from your aura. “SAIKOU SPIRAL!” You shout, unleashing your drill-like twister beam at the fallen enemy. You were confident it would hit and it looked like it was just to about too, when…

“You wildcards sure are something else.” Your attack is with one finger by a young man who you feel you’ve seen before...then the buzzing headache in your head returned and the violet skinned, white haired man distorted before you like in the vision before returning to normal. Flicking your attack aside, as if it were a marble it landed behind you and explodes with enough force to push you forward. Only to be stopped by the stranger appearing in front of you and keep you up. “Do you know much timelines change because of you ‘newtypes’ ? Well of course *you* don’t - “ He then turned your right and winking at the air. “ *They* know what I’m talking about.” He smiles, almost catching you off-guard by how...genuine it looked. The Beast King stood up in the hole you punched him in, angrier than before. A black cloudy aura, and even brighter red eyes manifested as the man in glasses smiled. “Two on one isn’t very fair so I’ve given the king of cats a booster shot!”

“Wait! Who are you? Why are you doing this?” You ask, grabbing his arm and holding as tight as you could. “Your not leaving until I get some answers.”

“Oh. I suppose that’s fair. My name is Fu, I’m a demon scientist. Right now I’m conducting an experiment and your apart of it Gyro. I’ve been looking for someone like you for a while now, this universe is short of subjects to test.” Fu said, smiling. Unconcerned with your hold on him, he proudly presented himself. “I even brought him here from another timeline. It was a joke timeline but the ones that were serious really packed a wallop.”

You feel your head hurt, this guy being a demon explains some things but even for a demonic creature he talked weird. Fu removed your hand, pushing you back and into Cabba. The Beast King leered closer, and Fu quickly vanished before you could ask or do anything else…

“I can hit him really hard, but I’m going to need time to charge it.”

“That’s not too ba-”

“For five minutes, and considering he feels even stronger...eh I’m sure you can handle it.” Cabba says, giving you a thumbs up. Your not sure if you share that confidence but you did had your own attacks still ready, question was...what would work?

Time to show this brute that there was only one real law of nature. There was always a bigger fish, your Master Pitaya had taught you that and it now time for you to pass that lesson onto the Beast. You flex your arms and then with a roar of your own, your muscle mass expanded and you feel your teeth sharpened into fangs and you felt your power level expand to twice to what it was before. The Aether’s Crown above you spins out, replenishing you fully but it was enough to completely restore you with the transformed state. Despite your change, it doesn’t slow down the soon-to-be rug who went for Cabba this time. Seeing him as the real threat, you almost feel insulted by him pushing past you in his attack. Cabba hesitates, unable to gather the energy in time was struck and thrown into a nearby building. The Saiyan was the sturdy type, and was still moving but the energy he had started to gather had vanished. You make a loud ancient curse that your ancestors would scold you with boiling water for saying in order to keep bad spirits from controlling you, but now you took to saying them whenever the modern words didn’t feel sufficient enough. Instant transmitting yourself to Cabba, you help him out and you move him away before the lion man pounced where he had spotted them.

“I’m ok. Just keep him busy.” Cabba says, raising his hand and an orb of blue light began to form. He was quickly focusing and gathering as much as he could and compacting it inside this tiny space. You quickly gathered what it was but such a technique would be very dangerous if Cabba messed up. He was making a literal energy bomb. So the serious nature drove you to not mess up. Teleporting back to the empowered lion, you decide to borrow Pamela’s technique to compliment the form you ‘mirrored’ somehow.

“Croc FANG KICK!” Your legs lit up with yellow ki and bolts of plasmic energy wrapped around your legs. Then in two powerful swipes you sent two ki kicks at the lion and then with the third you struck him in the face and chest before repeatedly kicking him as hard and as fast as you could with bicycle kick based strikes. You kick him through the building, a part of you not caring about the loss of the architecture as you hit the bastard beast as hard as you could. However even in your monstrous form, you notice your hits aren’t affecting him as you hoped. You teleport away in time, and the Beast King holds his claws up and they began to glow purple. He only roared at you now, only speaking to you in the language of fighting. “Right back ‘atcha, ugly.”

“GWAAAAAAR!” Lunging at you, the two of you engage in combat. You lose track of time as you fight, but you know it hasn’t been five minutes yet. The Beast had been boosted by Fu to the point where he wasn’t tiring out even while you were at peak strength. How were you going to stall him….?

“Cabba….” You say, vocally but also with your mind. Reaching Cabba with telepathy, and using your ki sense you can feel he was almost ready…

“Make sure he’s in a position for this to hit. I won’t be drained but he won’t fall for this a second time…’ Cabba stressed, and it’s just left you to decide...

Flashing around you became a mirage of images that would vanish when they were struck. You felt it was best to avoid his claws entirely to move between his attacks like Cabba done before. Grabbing his mane, you lift him up and then over your head with a roar to flip him onto his back. His limbs reared up to claw at you, and you would’ve gotten cut too. In the nick of time you honed in on Cabba’s ki and teleported to it in an open, cleared out intersection of the street. Jumping up, you rained down ki blasts to hold him in place. Cabba appeared from his hiding spot, flying high in the sky and you quickly fly up to get out the blast radius.

“Welcome to Corporal Cabba’s Big Bang Cannon!” Cabba shouted, raising the shining sapphire ki orb and then one final burst of power he extended his hand out towards the King of Beasts. You watch it strike true and erupted into a devastating explosion. One you sure you wouldn’t survive if you had still been down there. You keep your ki sense focused searching for signs of the animal man through the kicked up debris and rubble. “He has welcomed oblivion now…” Cabba said, panting now and winded by the attack. He had put a lot into the attack, and even for a sturdy Saiyan he seemed to burn through his stamina much quicker.

“I don’t trust it - unless we find a body or some evidence be on your guard.” You say, looking around. Cabba keeps to your back and the both of you search for signs of the monster.

The idea to let people vote for a race came to mind but I've always wanted to explore the idea of the Hera-seijin race even if it's in Universe 6 and not the norm of 7.This is why I decided instead to do voted in background stuff instead for Gyro.

We've had Super Humans with girls names, space super saiyans, space alcoholic Frieza's clansmen, and of course the twin Tuffle extraordinaire of the Mahogany Twins. We even had that oni kid, who I kinda wish to see more of.

Arlians, and space lemurs have potential. There was also the idea of having a DB Zelda adventure on Konats with Tapion and Minotia as the 'Super Heroes of Time and Space'.

Jinzoningen Quest was another idea but...Android 21 was announced and used all my ideas.

You pass on an orb of energy to the exhausted Saiyan. The sphere passed into him and he straightened up as your charitable donation was channeled into the Corporal. His normal slim build actually bulked up and it takes him a moment to fully process it before he relaxed and said,

“Thanks...whooh, your ki is...something else.” Cabba said, although not completely restored the color was returning to his voice now. “Can you see anything?” He asks, holding up his hand over his eyes to try and find out if his attack struck true.

You send your vision out, in a similar manner to when you use your Far-Seeing Arts. Your untrained ‘Near Sighted’ Far Seeing Arts skill is actually an advantage here on the Lower Realms. You focus on the power that shouldn’t belong and your are led - deep into the ground of Hera. Directly below you and before your ki sense could trigger you realize you were in a trap. Grabbing Cabba, you vanish just in time when the ground exploded and a large ki construct with the face of a lion flew where you were and then quickly high into the sky before exploding.

“FIST OF THE BEAST KING! Echoed out the lion’s voice from the hole. Jumping into the air, the Beast King spots you both and his fist lit up in the same bright orange flame as before. Two lion like heads forming over his hands as he prepared to attack you both…

You mimic the mannerisms of the Beast King. Feeling out his k, you feel the energy inside your body shift and attuned to the same channel as the self proclaimed lord of animals. A bright orange glow emitted from beneath your skin before exploding outward in a ball of orange flame. You focus, forcing your ki to bend to your will and it shapes into a burning lion’s skull.

“A pale imitation of the real thing, human!” The Beast King threw a punch at Cabba, the Saiyan flying away from you to lead the attack. Another punch and you found the Beast King’s ki fist was bearing down upon you. The cat in your hand grew in more, but even as a complete lion it wasn’t even half the size of the one rocketing at you.

“Jūouken!” You roar, using a simplified version of the name. You throw your punch, putting all your might into it. A second roar, this one coming from the ki construct you threw was much louder than either you or the Beast King’s attack. The Orange flamed turned into a bright white, matching your own aura. It overwhelmed the original attack and flew for the technique’s creator. Slamming into the lion man, before he could defend himself. Cabba didn’t slouch either, and his left leg lit up bright yellow and sent an energy kick of his own through the Lion Face. The Corporal Saiyan then kicking another after seeing your attack strike true.

“Gaaah...why...won’t...you..JUST DIE!?” The lion erupted from the spot you both had hit him into, bolting for you this time. His claws tore into the ground and he ran at you on all fours in his intent to get you...

Ok. You only have one chance at this, so better not screw up. Kneeling to the ground you, bow your head. You steady your breathing and allow your body to steady itself.

“GIVING UP WON’T SAVE YOU NOW!” You could hear the Beast King roar, but you don’t focus on that. Instead you remember the attack you used in your training with your sister. The one that broke through her barrier and let you win your little sparring match with her. As the vibrations grew louder from the Lion’s approach you decide to use it again only slightly different in execution.

“Mega…” You create a Saikou Spiral, bringing powerful winds around your arm that coalesce with the ki building up in your cupped hands. Bracing one foot up, you raise your hands up in time to release the supreme spiral just before Beast King got to you. It stops him, pushing back but his large arms folded around the attack and slid to a stop. “Psycho -” Your body ignites in white fire and the spinning wind caught flame too. With your other foot you push off the ground and launch yourself through the spinning flame. “CRUSHER!” Flying through your own attack, you strike true and hit the Beast King square on. Unable to hold you, the pair of you fly through several walls before landing in the outskirts of town. Drilling into the ground and punching the lion, until you no longer felt any resistance. Standing up, the bloodied lion below you twitched but was unconscious. You raise your hand, preparing to end this miserable thing…

“Master Gyro. I know I have no jurisdiction here but I would like to place him in my custody.” Cabba took hold of your wrist, stopping you and you take a moment to realize just what you were about to do.

“Oh. Uh. Yeah.” You feel your body relax and you feel yourself drop back into your normal state. The desire to kill lessened but you still held no favor for the beast.

>>2373533

“RA-” The Beast King tried to rear his head up, but Cabba put him back into the ground with a right hook that truly downed the lion. The Saiyan pulled out a pair cuffs, and they extended to wrap around the lion’s wrists.

“Just..get him off Hera or he ends up in the next dimension.” You promise, the memory of those who died still fresh on your mind.

“Right. I’ll tell Captain Renso then...” Cabba pulled out a small device and spoke into it. Renso’s voice came out of it but it was too quiet for you to hear anything important. “Yea...yea...ok.” Cabba said, nodding before he turned back to you. “He’ll back soon.”

“Good…” You say relaxing.

“Halt!” A familiar voice shouted behind you. The Commander from before who now only had a smaller group of men with him although these looked much more ‘elite’. “This monster is a terrorist and will be put down.” The Commander approached you, but this time wary of both of you. His sword was drawn and his men looked ready to fight.

“Sir I-” Cabba tried to explain who he was, but you hold up a hand to stop him. You didn’t need the Royal Military sticking their noses into your business. Kami had taught you to respect the rules of the people, but as the next Guardian in training you had to enforce what you believed in.

“Corporal Cabba, I appreciate your assistance in this matter. The Salada Army is lucky to have you.” You say, and you cross your arms together and give him a proper bow. “However if I am to be God of this world, I need to be able to communicate to the people on it.” You said, before flying up to the Commander and his royal soldiers.

“I’ll keep guard on the criminal then.” Cabba said, folding his arms and stepping in front of the lion in case any of the Hera-seijin soldiers made a move or if the overgrown fur ball woke up again.

Deciding to take matters into your own hands you make your way up to the Commander. Soldiers begin to circle around you and all draw their spears around your neck. The weapons now that you have a closer look to them are made out of a different material then the Katchin sword you carried. A silver metal that pulsed with blue veins that lit up with energy you noted wasn’t normal ki, magic or even psychic energy. You felt this before when you drew in power for your Aether’s Crown. They were holding raw spiritual energy in weapon form. The Commander’s blade was made of the same metal. The sword had its own aura that bled over the Royal Commander’s arm. He held it up, raising your chin with it’s end and examined you.

“I know all the strongest warriors of Hera, and I have never seen you or your peach-colored friend before this day. Who are you, and in the King’s name why should I not take you both down as threats to our world?” He asks, pressing a bit harder then you’d like. Well at least you won’t need to shave now, and you get a feel for the energy of metal. It was as if someone had altered the planet’s ki into an ore and forged it into an actual weapon. You are both fascinated and suspicious as this was something no one had instructed you on before…

“My name is Gyro and this is Corporal Cabba. I work for God.” You answer, and you see a wave of doubt cross over the Commander and his men’s face. You spoke truthfully, and while some of them didn’t believe you the Kami was known among the people.

“You do the Guardian’s work? What proof do you have?” The commander asks, pulling back his strange sword and ordering his men to step back from you.

“He sent me here himself.” You answer, believing your words to be enough evidence. “I am not some heroic bystander. My master saw this creature attacking, and I did as I was instructed.” You relay, folding your arms together as the mystery of their weapons still lingered in your mind.

“I was instructed by the King of all Hera to deal with this matter.”

The Commander seemed ready to fight you - until he sheathed his sword, the aura vanishing with the blade in its scabbard. Ordering his men down, he gave you a nod. “I trust the Guardian’s emissary to deal with this matter.” Then he turned back to you, his hand still on the handle of his weapon. “I have the people of this city to tend to for now, but if you ever come by Capital City, come to the palace. Tell the guards your name and they will bring you to me. I would like to introduce you and the Guardian to the King if possible.”

“I will need to check with my Master, but I will be busy for the undetermined future.” You answer, but the Commander nods before ordering his soldiers back to the city.

“Well. That went well.” Cabba said, as you made your way back to him.

“Hm..” You look back, staring at the strange metal spears and the sword at the Commander’s waist. “Cabba, have you ever seen a metal like that?” You ask, pointing to them. He shakes his head after looking at them.

“Uh. No, can’t say I have, actually. Figured it was something native here.” He said, as his phone rang. Answering it, you can faintly hear Renso again. “Oh. He’s at the Lookout now.”

“Hey idiot!” You say, leaning over to the motionless mutant Hera-seijin. You kick him, and he stirs but just rolls over in the black void both of you floated in. “Wake up!”

“FivemoreminutesKado…” You hear him mumble, and scratching his side.

“C’mooon, this is the first time we’ve been able to talk. Get up.” You shake his arm, until he finally stirs up. At first taken back by the nothingness you both stood, before recoiling at you. “Oh! Sorry. I’m not dressed, well I didn’t expect you to roll two ones…”

Morphing from the living shadow with glowing eye (totally not a character from another popular Shonen series) - into a better dressed version of Gyro. This time in full Kami clothing and holding the same staff that Gyro’s master used. “There, that’s better. At Least for now.” You say, planning to hold a vote on what you looked like next time.

“Who…” He tried asking but sputtered over his words. “What...are you? Rolls?”

“Spoilers.” You respond, leaning on the staff, wagging your finger at him much like Fu did before.

“Then why am I here? I was looking for Fu and…”

“You rolled two ones and failed the DC. So something bad had to happen…” You raise five twenty sided dice and toss them down. The numbers were all under but weren’t ones this time. Gyro looked at the dice, questioningly and waited for something to happen. “Yeah - you're still stuck here. Sorry.” You apologize but see it doesn’t really help.

“So I’m unconscious? Is this a dream, a vision...am I dying?” A flash of fright crossed Gyro’s face but you rest a hand on his shoulder to assure him.

“Yes, kind’ve, maybe and no.” You answer in order. “Think of me as your guide. I’m that little voice in the back of your head that helps you out.”

“So...your my conscience?” Gyro asks, and you resist the urge to face palm.

“I’m no Jiminy Cricket - “

“Who?”

“It’s not important, but I’m here to help.” That seemed to relieve Gyro a bit but he still had many questions and the two of you only had a limited amount together. “How do I help though..” You ask, scratching your chin you think of other Wild Cards and the choices they had to make.

“You could just tell me…”

“Oh. I know! Pick a card, any card…” You produce a deck of cards in your hand. Shuffling by themselves, then you raise the deck up to Gyro. Spreading them out, you smile and nod for him to take a card. He pauses, reaches his hand forward...and the card he picks lights up in a brilliant display of colors! Even you are somewhat taken aback, despite knowing the chances this could happen. The other cards vanished and you step back and give a bow to Gyro. “Good luck, Gyro.” You say, and the young man you share a mind with raised his hand up to give you a thumbs up before the light engulfed him.

You are Gyro, and you just had a meeting with yourself. It was weird, but now you found yourself somewhere else entirely. You look around and find yourself on a world with a blue sky and green grass. You decide to travel for a bit but...you sense off in the distance people fighting. Stronger than most, but you sense two Saiyans and several of..what Miss Enchanto felt like but all vastly stronger...

You fly up into the sky and to the strange collection of powers. This world was much too light, and you felt yourself almost fly much faster then you have on your own world. The world around you becomes a blur until you approach what appears to be grassy green plains. Landing some ways behind a plataeu you count two Saiyans and several non-Saiyans. One’s even a big green guy, another has a third eye and one even looked like a painted doll. You can’t hear them talking from where you're at, but just by looking at the group you could tell these two Saiyans were less like Cabba and more like Gin-Sin. Both of them had malevolence in their ki. The Big Green guy did too, but it was much less in comparison. The larger of the two Saiyans, a bald man with a goatee then goes to put something in the ground. Right before your eyes, green impish like creatures pulled themselves from the dirt. Each of them strong enough to kill the softer looking humanoids.

You know from your lessons from Kami-sensei that sometimes inaction was the best action. You keep your power low, hiding but still observing. The tiny green men grouped together, and something about them didn’t feel right. The ki they had inside of them felt - volatile. You don’t get much more time to observe them little greens before the tension in the air quickly rose. The green men began to move around the other group. Some sort of intimidation tactic, but the group of fighters didn’t seem too intimidated. Until one shot acid out of its head, the distance of the spray nearly even reaching you! Jumping out of the way, you hide behind another plateau in time to see that the triclops was now fighting the acid spewing green men and doing rather well. Despite the power advantage, the home grown creature was losing. You almost feel relieved but, then another thought occured.

“Who am I supposed to meet? What the hell is a wild card?” You think, but your thoughts are interrupted by the shorter man (what you could only assume to be ‘Saiyans’ with tails), fired off a finger beam that destroyed the acid creature. More confusion only made you nearly miss the fight between a man in an orange gi and another one. Uh-oh. This guy isn’t as strong as the triclops. Even if he started off well, the man’s confidence would surely leave him open. You shield your eyes from a shining blue blast, the formation of which you see share similarities with your own Saikou Spiral. The creature was down, but not destroyed and then said something along the lines of taking the rest on - but you see the creature’s claw twitch and…

“Fly you fool!” Your telepathic message said and the orange gi man luckily did as you instructed. The green creature, leaping up and grabbing only air. The man looks surprised, but quickly recovered and took out the artificially grown creature with an orb made of spiritual energy.

“Whoah. That was close!” The man said, looking around. “Uh...who said that?” He asked, confusing the others of the group who didn’t hear you.

“Stop yapping! You just got lucky!” The large brute shouted, stepping forward but the smaller man kept him from acting out.

“Quiet Nappa! Lucky or not, the Earthling still won.” The Saiyan mad, but he also started to look around. Was he searching for you? You hide, and are relieved to find no one’s sensed you yet and you managed to move in position to hear the group better.

“....Huh.” The Big Green man said. “...honestly expecting something….”

“Different, I know? Something...iconic. This just feels like a let down.” A shorter man with what appeared to be six moxibustion burns on his forehead.

“B-but isn’t that good, Mr. Piccolo?” A young boy said, who felt like both a Saiyan and a not-Saiyan. “Shouldn’t we want Yamcha to win?”

“.....maybe.”

“Seriously guys. Which one of you said that? I’m not a fool.” The scarred face man asked again. “It was like when Kami spoke to us for our training.” He said, looking around but you duck in time before being discovered.

“Vegeta! They cheated! That’s not fair!” Nappa shouted, almost childishly at the smaller Saiyan.

“Hurmph. If he feels confident enough he can take all four. I say let the Earthling have it!” The one called Vegeta said, crossing his arms.

“Uh...When I said all four, what I re-” The martial artist tried to back out, backing away to his companions.

“CHARGE!” Nappa shouted, and all four Saibamen quickly zeroed in on the ‘Earthling’. Whatever that was…

Uh-oh. You better do something quick…

Alright! Time to shine! You brace yourself, and then with a gutteral shout, you launch yourself through the plataeu.

“DYNAMIC ENTRY!” Your front kick shatters through the rock, stone and dirt as if it wasn’t there. You drive your foot into the body of a surprised Saibaman, knocking it into another and the other two are just too stunned by your appearance. You land, raising your fists into a fighting stance and stirring up a hornet’s nest of confusion.

“Ok. Just who the hell are you?! You sure as hell aren’t Kakarot.”

“Kack-a-rot?” You repeat, but shake your head. “Nope. My name’s Gyro.”

“Hey...your voice was in my head.” Yamcha said, almost realizing what had happened to him. “Thanks for the save!” He held up a thumbs up too you, and you return it.

“Sorry. Usually I try to stay out of affairs like this but..." You try to think of an excuse but all you can really tell them is what you know is the truth. "I’m on a sort of spiritual journey right now. So I’m just kinda...going with it. You know?” You say, and the group of warriors obviously do not understand.

“Rrrr...enough! Who are you? Did Goku send you?” The green one known as ‘Mr. Piccolo’ said to you.

“Hey new guy! Why do you look so….blue?” Nappa said, chuckling at the pun.

“Nappa, that was a Raditz level pun and you know it.” Though Vegeta was smiling at it…

“Look I don’t know a Kakarot, a Goku or a Raditz.” You say, but you can sense that while the bald man was strong, the shorter one even outclassed you unless you transformed. The four Saibamen look at you warily, grouping around each other. The ones you hit, were hissing at you.

“Hurm, whattaya say Vegeta. Wanna let the new blue guy go?” Nappa asked. The smaller Saiyan just nodding his head and grunting out.

“Goddamnit Nappa, fine.”

“I’ll take all four of these creatures on and you.” You raise a finger at Nappa.

“Oooh. He picked me Vegeta! Can I play? Please? Arlia was such a bore, and everything was weaker than a Saibaman!” Nappa said, turning to the younger Saiyan and held up his hands as he asked.

“If it gets you to stop badgering me, fine!” Finally relenting, Vegeta pulled out a scouter and turned it on. “I can check out his power level while he’s fighting you.”

“Yaaaaaaaaaaaay!” Nappa ran to his Saibamen and they gathered around him into a huddle. “Okaythisiswhatwe’regonnado..hissafizzzshh...STATIC NOISE! GO AWAY PLEASE!” He shouts the last bit at you, getting you to step back on listening to whatever they were planning.

“Seriously though. Who’re you?” You quickly get their names, tired of referring them by their physical appearance. The one called Krillin was curious, and the smaller boy Gohan was shy but rather polite.

“I’m Gyro of Hera. Guardian-in-Training and if I train hard enough I’ll be a Hero like my Master.” You respond.

“Heh. He’s like a teal skinned, red haired Goku.” The one you saved, Yamcha said and you feel that being compared to this ‘Goku’ is a good thing. Maybe he was the ‘Wild Card’ you were suppose to find?

“Yeah about this Goku guy? ...Who is that?” You simply ask.

“He’s my dad! He’s the strongest man in the world! He’s even stronger than Mr. Piccolo!” Gohan exclaimed. Piccolo frowned, but didn’t disagree with it.

“He’s suppose to be here soon, we’re just holding these guys off until he gets here.” Krillin looked back to Nappa, who was still in an inspirational locker room speech with his Saibamen. The green impish creatures just nodding and copying Nappa’s movements, letting out shrieks whenever Nappa cheered. “Uhh...yeah...we’re doomed…”

“Not if I have anything to say about it. This may not be my world I’m trained to protect but I will fight for it as if it were my own.” You promise, turning to the Saiyan and began to power up.

“Vegeta! What does the scouter say about his power level?”

“It’s...exactly, nine thousand and one.” Vegeta pulled off his scouter and crushed it.

“You sound so underwhelmed Vegeta!” Nappa hearing that Gyro had nearly twice his power still didn’t back down.

“Because it’s still not a problem for us.” Vegeta smirked at you, and you feel you’ve piqued the shorter Saiyan’s interested.

“Oh...right! Saibaman! Blitzkrieg!” Nappa commands.

“Blitz-” You ask, and the arms of the Saibamen all grab you, and you fell for what you warned Yamcha earlier.

“4 with the power level of over one thousand each isn’t much, but together. It’s a - “

You fly into the sky, not hearing the pun but you sure it was something clever. You couldn’t defuse this situation but you could keep it from hurting other people. There was also the fact you wanted to hide your transformation for the time. Despite your monstrous form’s size, the Saibamen still held on. They lit up a moment after each other with four powerful explosions, that would’ve have killed nearly everyone but Vegeta. Oh, and you. Pamela was right about the endurance of the monstrous form. It absorbed the blow, and while it stung you shifted back to your Elegant normal state, almost fine. Gathering an Aether’s Crown above your head, you float down from the smoke of the explosion. The fighters of Earth had all sensed your energy but the Saiyans were surprised.

“Look Vegeta! We did kill him, he has a halo!” Nappa shouted, pumping up an arm in victory.

“Heh. You wish.” You instant transmission down and in front of Nappa, surprising him and making him jump back a ways. “Ready?”

“READY BLUE MEANIE!” Getting a vicious grin back from the Saiyan, his body began to glow yellow and his aura lit up with a plasmic electricity around his body. Something about Nappa’s power changed. Not a transformation but there was an awakening of strength. Perhaps if you had more time to study it you could do something similar...

Drawing out your clackers, you begin to spin them. You gauge the reactions of the others. No one probably expected pull out a pair of toys. Infusing the orbs, you send it spinning at Nappa.

“Ha!” Sliding to the left, he avoided the attack. His ki began to build up, and aimed himself directly for you. “Missed! Now it’s my turn!” Reeling his head back, and then throwing it forward he would’ve sent a blast of energy from his mouth directly at you. He would’ve until your clackers spun back around, hitting Nappa’s head and throwing his aim, so spat it directly for Vegeta.

“Gh!” Vegeta slapped the attack away, but was growing very impatient now. “Don’t make me come in there!” He stepped forward, readying to attack but Krillin, Gohan, Chiaotzu, Tienshinhan, Piccolo, and Yamcha all quickly got in front him. “Move aside trash!”

“One on one you’d probably kill us but together we’d make you work for it.” Piccolo responded, throwing off his cape and turban. Each one formed an attack stance, their auras flaring up and energy attacks quickly took shape. Piccolo holding two finger to his forehead and sparks began to grow.

“Y-you’ll b-be sorry w-when my Dad gets here!” Gohan shouted. He raised both of his hands up and a yellow ki orb formed over the palms of his open hands. Tienshinhan held a triangle shape, that you noted also looked like a pyramid. Yamcha and Krillin cupped their hands to the side to perform the first ki attack you saw Yamcha use. Chiaotzu raised his finger and a yellow orb formed at the end of his extended digit.

“Fools, if Nappa can’t hurt me, all you together wouldn’t even scratch a Saiyan Elite of my caliber!” Vegeta roared and powered to show off his power. Whether he went full strength, he was stronger than you as you were now. Pamela’s form would give you the edge, but you needed to take care of Nappa. Together the two of them could overwhelm you and the Earth Fighters. “Fine! I shall grace all of you with one free shot.” Then he looked to you and took a guarded stance. “Once I’m done with these fools. You are next! Then I’m going to deal with you Nappa!”

Powering up to your full strength, your white aura covers you like a cloak.

You can hear the six attacks go off below you. Vegeta's cockiness getting the better of him, until each attack combined into a large singular attack. The Saiyan Prince had underestimated the Earthlings and was now in actual fight. Pushing against the blast, he laughed but there was hesitation in his voice.

"Ha...AHA! Is that all you've got?" He asked, taking a step forward.

"Nappa. Why do you let him boss you around?" You ask.

"Because he's my Prince! I served his old man. I wouldn't expect a non-Saiyan to understand!" Nappa said, though he turned to look back down at Vegeta showing clear worry.

"Loyalty to the wrong person often ends in betrayal." You answer, and then raise a hand up, but not at Nappa. Releasing an orb of ki down, it falls down into the combined Z-fighter attack. Like gasoline on a fire, that caused an immediate uproar and the Saiyan was pushed a step back, and then thrown back into a nearby mountainside.

"Vegeta!" Nappa took off after the Prince, giving you a moment to breathe...

"You guys ok?" You ask, floating down to meet with the six other fighters.

"Uh...can't believe that worked..." Krillin said.

"I can! With our new good luck charm here, we probably don't even need Goku!" Yamcha said, getting cocky again.

"Hey uh...what's that?" Gohan pointed to the sky. You look up and see a shining orb. Then...the mountainside exploded and two giant tailed beasts rose up and stared directly at you....
