<You are Erick Vanders, assistant manager at WalMart Supercenter in Washington DC. Or so you were, until an untimely death saw the end of your normal life. Now, you find yourself trapped, along with several others, in an unforgiving death game orchestrated by an enigmatic black sphere known only as Gantz. Its rules are simple: hunt and kill monsters, aliens, from other worlds before the time limit, or be killed by them. With the promise of a way out, and Gantz's technologically advanced arsenal as your driving force, can you live through the agony of life after death? Or will your mind and body break like the hundreds of others that lived before you?>

There were footsteps outside of your door, as well as official shouts of order and command, as what you assume were police, began to storm into your apartment complex. This would last all of three seconds, before your head was whisked away to another place. By now however, the sensation of the laser teleporting you slab by slab had become almost normalized. If the sight of your bodily tissue being cut apart so cleanly didn't remain as unnerving, you would almost consider the whole process as routine.

The lone light in the room seemed almost homely to you now, as well as the window displaying a portion of DC's nighttime lighting and architecture. The sight of the Gantz ball and the sparsely populated apartment room before you would seal that notion of predictability to you. To anyone else however, it would have seemed like something out of a nightmare.

"Wha-...what the fuck is...", you hear a voice below you ask, very much agitated, "Is...this...where are we? Erick...what's...."

You turn your head to the floor, and see Allie sprawled out, in that midst of what you can only describe as a panic attack. Besides the heaving on her chest and the movement on her lips, she remains perfectly stunned in the center of the wooden floor. Her eyes are transfixed on your now fully teleported body, as if expecting an answer out of you.

Reminder that Oku did the same thing to Kei Kishimoto. No one is sacred in Gantz.
>>
So let's see:
-We need to keep Paula alive because of the investigation underway
-Need to keep this bitch alive too because once the FBI start digging about what we did or were doing if she is gone we will be blamed for her death
-Keep Dante alive so Chris can come back and we can cash in a favor for dad Senator
-Keep Yukino alive so her Hitman dad doesn't come after us for revenge
-Need to get enough point to rezz Kurtis.

Her eyes are moving to an almost manic motion around the room and back at you the few seconds you take to formulate an answer to her query. To you, there's not much way of conveying what's about to happen unless you're as blunt as possible. For this, you'll need her attention.

After snapping your fingers in front of her face, Allie's attention is solely placed on you.

"Listen to me and listen close Allie," you state, and Allie's eyes are locked on you as you do so, "we're about to be placed in a life and death situation and if you want to make it out of this alive I need you to pay attention. For the record, this is Gantz."

"W-what?" she looks at you, her eyes widening, "W-wait...life and death. So, those disappearances...those deaths were..."

"We'll make the connections later," you reply, "for now, just pay attention to me. In a few moments, more people are going to come in, they are here to help us get out of this situation alive."

"That ball over there," you continue, and point at the Gantz, "will open up with weapons, and other gear for a hunt. Even though we're not sure about it, we think those things may be aliens actually..."

Allie's eyes widen even further at the mention of this. Her mouth opens to speak up, when a laser brings a familiar face into the room. Carol's body arrives in long hoodie, along with her X-Gun tucked at her hip. She look over to you, and then to Allie's surprised body down below.

"Hey Erick, who's the new girl?", she innocently asks, looking Allie over as her own body finishes teleporting, "Hey, I'm Carol, and don't worry you're not dead. Even though, you may have died, maybe..."

"Died?" Allie states somewhat taken aback, "I never died...I just, was with Erick...and suddenly..."

There's another sound of a teleport whirring a new body into the room. This time it's Dante, looking somewhat annoyed as it looks like he was enjoying some Arizona Ice Tea. There's a small splash of liquid on his suit, along with his X-Rifle. Carol's attention is taken by Dante, and she barely even questions what is said.

"Shit caught me right in the middle of a study session," he says, and looks at the three of you, "We got a new one this early? You two know her or are you two just being this friendly already?"

"Wait...hold on a minute," Allie says, her breath beginning to even out, "You all know each other?"

"It's kind of a long story actually," Dante says, looking back at her, "But, if Erick hasn't given you skinny on the whole deal here, then I can explain it a bit further if you wish."

Another whirr from the Gantz teleports another player in. Yukino flexes her fingers, and moves her legs before quickly moving to your side.

"There's a kid in here too...?", Allie stammers out, as she looks to Yukino, "I thought that..."

"Gantz takes anyone really," Yukino replies, interrupting her, "You gotta die before it brings you in. To which, I am so sorry you died miss, and we'll make sure you don't die again."

"If it only takes people that died, then..." Allie says, looking around herself, "then...what am I doing-"

She doesn't get to finish the sentence before the Gantz teleports a uniformed, female officer to room, holding in a dufflebag. Paula's gaze looks towards the huddling conversation that's built around Allie, and then to Allie herself. Her face turns to a scowl as her still teleporting body moves towards Allie's own.

"Of all the places I didn't think I'd see you, I really hoped it wasn't here," Paula states with an annoyed tone, "I have half a mind to beat you senseless over the hassle you've given me for the last two hours. To the whole station actually."

"Paula, do you know her?" Dante states, looking at her. Paula nods, and places the dufflebag on the side. As this happened, Allie's face has contorted into a motion of pure fear, almost scooting away from Paula, who then turns to you.

'Putting me on the spot for this one?'

You take a deep sigh before you start on your explanation. All eyes are on you now.

"Yeah, we know her actually," you state, standing up, "She had been stalking me for a bit, until Paula and the police apprehended her. That's not the crazy part though, as she knew about Gantz prior to coming to room."

For a few seconds, there is a dead silence in the room. You doubt anyone wouldn't be second guessing the information brought forth just now. This all ends, the moment Carol shakes her head a little.

"WHAT?!" Carol blurts out, looking at Dante, "I thought you said that if anyone in the game talked about to a civilian, Gantz would kill them. How can she possibly know?"

"Hey this is just as news to me as anyone else," he replies, now looking at Allie, "Ok...first off, how much does she know? And secondly, how long was she stalking you for?"

"She only knows the name and some details about Gantz's pattern," you state, "Besides that, she was trying to pry me for information since I fit her pattern. How she managed to find me or how she knew about my second key is still a mystery though."

There's a whirr behind Dante, as another body is teleported to the room. Tanjeet looks over you all and gives a fair wave before he realizes the current situation. Dante fills him in not a moment sooner.

"She also mentioned something about not dying I think," Carol says, trying to remember, "How's that possible though? I thought Gantz only drew in people that died?"

"I get the feeling this may be a way for Gantz to cover its tracks," Tanjeet states, pondering next to Dante, "I mean, theoretically, it can't kill her outright since she doesn't have a bomb in her head. But...if she's in the game, then he doesn't have to worry about her going public with it, as well as the possibility of her dying in the game."

"I'm still here you know," Allie states, looking at Tanjeet with some frustration in her eyes, "And, there's still a lot of questions that I hav-... Wait...you're all humans, right?"

"Yeah...we're human," Dante says, looking at her in somewhat disbelief she would ask that, "I get this is all very strange and bizarre, but we're human. Why do you...ask that question?"

"It's just that..." Allie starts, looking at Dante, "everything that I researched about Gantz, stated it had a connection aliens or something like that. You look human enough, but...I am not sure if I can fully believe you."

"You can believe it if you want to or not," Paula interjects, earning a scowl from Allie, "But be sure that you're in just as much danger by being in this room as us. Come to terms with it missy, or we can't guarantee you'll make it out alive. Same thing goes for talking to other about this, unfortunately."

"W-wait...you're saying that..." Allie replies somewhat dishearteningly, "all of those years, looking for answers about Gantz...and I can't say anything about it? That's a lie...right?"

As soon as the words leave Allie's mouth, another whirr sounds off behind Paula, with this one looking a bit more ragged than familiar. Its Gecko, sporting that familiar hoodie as before, but with a red bandanna covering the lower parts of his face. Upon spotting the five of you, his face twists into that of fright, and you see him almost tripping over himself to move away from you.

"What the fuck, again?!" he states as he reels back, "Why am I in this fucking place again?! I thought that shit a week back was some fucked up nightmare...what the fuck is happening?"

You look at him with somewhat incredulity at his disbelief, until Carol leaves the group's side. She slowly moves towards him as he makes his way back to the other side of the room. There's a cold, almost emotionless look plastered on her face as she moves closer to him.

You tap Dante on the shoulder and, almost immediately, he moves to Carol's side, placing a single hand on her shoulder. Carol stops moving, and turns her head towards Dante. You catch a glimpse of that emotionless look in her eyes again.

"Carol, we can't right now," he says to her, almost pleading, "I know what this means to you, but we need to remain calm if we're gonna make it through this. If not for you then...for me..."

You don't hear much of what Dante whispers to Carol as he moves his head closer to her ear. You hear a painful sigh, and Carol turns back to the group. She's got a familiar sorrowful expression on her face as she makes her way back to her usual spot against the back wall. As Dante turns around to do the same, you catch a glimpse of Carol's hand moving towards her X-Gun holster.

In one fluid motion, her hands unholster the gun, and she moves to point it right at Gecko.

"Carol no!", Paula shouts as she gets up towards Carol and you do the same. If she had been a second faster, maybe she wouldn't have collided with you as well. The impact hits you both hard enough to stop momentum dead for a second.

In that second however, Carol unleashes a shot against Gecko, who's quivering in fear in the corner and covering his face from the weapon. Paula recovers from the impact first, and moves to apprehend Carol's gun, but she only succeeds in making her shot go wide, right into Dante. He stands there for a second before moving forward to Carol's position.

Carol doesn't even realize where she released her second shot, as you also go to restrain her. It is too late however, as she manages to release another shot towards Gecko's direction while struggling against Paula. The shot would have hit Gecko, had Dante not moved closer to try and stop her. He takes the initial shot, right to his arm.

In the moment it takes you and Paula to restrain Carol to the ground, you all catch a glimpse of Gecko's head, as it expands outwards with a sickening squelch, and finally explodes in a shower of blood and brain matter. You hear a scream from the back of the room, as bits for gore fly out towards you and the walls. You and the others don't have time to recover, as Dante's suit powers down and that strange fluid flows from the buttons on the sides.

Dante stands motionless as he tries to figure out what just happened, shocked at the sight of his suit shutting down. A few seconds later, Dante's left arm is blown apart in a subsequent bloody explosion of blood and bone. This time, two more screams join into the mix, as Carol is now writhing in tears beneath you both at having witnessed what happened to Dante.

Tanjeet doesn't waste any time, and he is immediately at Dante's side in spite of the carnage he just witnessed as well. Dante himself is writhing on Tanjeet's shoulder, an agonizing expression etched across his face, yet managing to remain conscious throughout it all. Through all of this, you hear a more quiet sobbing, coming from the far side of the room. You turn your head away from all of the horror before you, to see Yukino, sitting in a fetal position against the back wall huddling herself as much as she can.

"Stay with her Paula," You state, and she nods before you head towards Yukino, "Hey, hey Yukino, it's alright. Come on out, I'm right he-"

You don't finish the sentence before Yukino's arms virtually attack your neck, pulling you into a deep hug. You return it almost immediately, as your hands strokes her hair and her upper back. She's sobbing very quietly, almost as if she's choking on something. You almost pull her up to see if she is, when a muffled voice leaves her throat.

"H-He's ok...H-he'll be fine...", she manages out as she presses her head against your body, "M-mom, y-you'll make s-sure he's alright...please...He'll be alright..."

The sight and sound of Yukino's strangled pleas almost make you cry as well. You hold onto her for a little longer, until her cries begin to waver a little. As release a bit of your grip on her, Yukino remains attached to you regardless. You turn your head to survey the room, and see that everything is either the same or worse.

Carol is currently sobbing her eyes out, and Paula chosen to let her go and remaining by her side against the wall. Allie has opted to head to hallway and is currently pounding against the door to try and get out. However, Dante remains conscious with Tanjeet attempting to tourniquet his injury with the remains of his suit's sleeve.

'All of that fucking planning...for this...'

The thought finishes in your head when another whirring noise comes from Gantz. You turn your head towards the ball, to see three figures begin to materialize simultaneously from the laser. All of them are female, and seem about your age sporting similar clothes to each other. Two of them, the taller ones, are white, while the shorter one is Hispanic and is about as tan as Paula.

As soon as their bodies fully materialize, the taller two scream in unison at the horrific sight before them. The hispanic one, just looks frantically around and starts to laugh in a panic.

"H-hey...that's not a real dead body...right?", the hispanic chick asks at no one in particular, "And will you two shut the fuck up! I can't think without you both screaming in my ears!"

'New ones...shit, couldn't have been at a worse time...'

Okay, let´s make it quick. You have died. Please don´t deny it, it won´t do you much good. No, this isn´t a fucking TV show. Another man has just died and another maimed. Touch the corpse if you want real assurance or you are into that shit.

Now, I want you to listen closely. That ball is going to open soon. You are going to grab suits and weapons from there and put them on. If you do not hurry you will share the same fate of that fellow on the floor. This is not a game.

Now, we have a few moments before all of this starts, so I will need you to tell me your names so we can have a minimum chance of survival for this hunt. Just do it please.

"Yukino, listen to me," You quickly say, and Yukino's tear-soaked face looks up at you, "Go to Paula and Carol's side. I need to help these three out before anything else happens, alright?"

She softly nods and quickly makes her way towards the two, earning some strange gazes from the three new girls teleported in the room. The two white chicks stopped screaming, as the other one asserted her dominance over them apparently, though you can still hear the occasional sob coming from them.

'Guess she's the leader of her trio,' you think as you get up and head towards them. Their 'leader' looks at you as you head closer and she cringes at the amount of blood on your face and suit.

"H-hey, you didn't do that," she says, pointing to Gecko's corpse, "Right...? None of this is real...right, it's all so-"

"Before you say anything else, yes, it is all real," you bluntly cut her off, and their eyes widen a bit more at the revelation, "If you don't believe me, then touch that corpse in the corner. Whether or not you want to believe it, I need you three to listen to me immediately."

"W-wait, hold up," one of the white girls speaks, "You didn't answer her question...did you kill that guy? Why should we believe you if you're a potential murderer?"

"Because I killed him!" Carol shouts, with all three of their gazes falling on her, "I shot him, and he deserved to die that piece of shit! Now shut up, and listen to what Erick has to say if you want to live."

Paula is at her side, trying to bring her down, to which Carol responds by sitting back down again. Two of the girls are aghast at Carol's revelation, yet the hispanic chick is trying to keep her cool.

"Alright! Just...stop being so damn hostile." she replies back, almost annoyed to hear Carol's voice, "Fine, Erick, then tell us what we're in for then?"

You go to speak before a whirrs escape from Gantz and a laser materializes two more entities to the room. The three girls look very much surprised and disturbed as the laser bring in the next two participants, slab by slab. This time, it looks like a middle age couple, both white and in matching outfits of blue polos and jeans. There's a lull in silence in them as the two materialize in the room, and they both almost immediately jump back as they see the splatter of blood and the corpse right before them.

'Christ, let these be the last two of the night...'

"Ouch...alright, you got me, this ain't no dream" the middle aged gentleman states, after he pinches himself, "So then, what exactly is happening here? And...are we actually dead?"

You had finished repeating yourself to them like you had to the three previous members. These two were surprisingly more even minded than the girls, yet also more skeptical to what you told them. It made the initial explanation all the more annoying, but you managed to get through it well enough.

"As I have stated before, we have all died," you state, looking back at all of them while you stand in front of Gantz, "In a few moments, assuming more people don't come, this ball is going to activate and give us a set of instructions to hunt a target in a specified location. It will deploy a set of equipment for us to use in the hunt."

"There'll be a suit like this and several guns for you to utilize in there," you continue, "From then on, follow our instructions on how to use the equipment and don't wander outside of the designated hunting area. I should also mention that we all carry an explosive inside of our heads, that will detonate if we exit the zone of the hunt."

"Hahaha...yeah, ok kid," the middle age man says, looking at you in abject disbelief, "This whole thing is some fucked up set up for a prank right? Like, come on, hunts and explosives in our heads? This sounds like some cheap sci-fi novel. I'm out of here."

He begins to walk away towards the hallway. His wife tries to stop him and it looks like the other girls are going to follow him as well, before Allie burst from the hall and onto the floor of the room.

"There's...no way out," she says, looking down at the floor, "We're trapped...we're gonna die...Oh god...we're gonna fucking die..."

The others look at her with a confused look and you step closer towards them.

"No one here is going to die if you follow our instructions," you say, trying to lift up Allie, "But yes, there is no way out of this room until we finish the hunt. Now please, do as you're told or you'll be in much worse than her."

While they all look at you, the girls step away from the middle aged couple and head back to your side. The couple remains somewhat skeptical, or at least the husband does. This all ends however, the moment a familiar melody begins to play.

Gantz's message cuts out to reveal the night's targets, who look vaguely humanoid this time around. Everyone is either in a state of strange disbelief or a weird fascination at the ball's message. Everyone except, ironically enough, Allie who remains slumped on the ground while the others huddle around the front of the ball to look at the message.

Carol, Paula and Yukino move to Dante's prone side before the ball opens up in full. The new members either fall over or jump in surprise at the sudden motion and noise of the Gantz ball opening up. You only watch as they curiously look over the ball until Tanjeet pulls you over.

"Hey, I managed to stabilize Dante," he says, while pointing to his arm, "Strange thing though, the wound seems to have stopped bleeding on its own without showing signs of scarring or cauterization. I don't know what did it, but I think it may have saved him."

"Thank our lucky stars then," you say, looking back at the new members, "Let the girls stay by his side, but you're gonna have to help me with these ones since Dante's a little indisposed at the moment. You remember how these work, right?"

"I'll help you out as well," Paula says, looking over to your side, "We've only got so much time as is. Carol and Yukino can keep Dante company until we get sent out."

"You guys handle the large group," you state, looking at them, "Also, I think those two are going to listen to an officer of the law better anyways. I'll go deal with Allie."

"Wait, what about me Erick?" Tanjeet replies, looking a little worried, "Do I have to talk to...them?"

He subtly points a finger and motions to the three girls looking at the metal cases where their suits are. You only give him a look to see if he's actually going to question it further. He defeatedly nods his head and makes his way towards the three girls. You only hear the start of his introduction of ,'Hey, you need some help?', you know Tanjeet's probably not the best ladies' man.

As you approach Allie on the floor, you notice she hasn't really moved all that much since you left her there. There's a slight bit of tears on the floor from where she landed, but otherwise her expression doesn't look all that sad. Instead, it is the guise of a lack of emotion and depressed coldness not unlike Carol's own before she killed Gecko. You don't detect rage or feelings of anger, just a degree of emptiness.

"Allie, I need you to get up," you say to her, trying to hold her up again, "We're going to have to cooperate in order to get back alive, so please I need you to get up. I know we've had issues in the past, but I don't want to see you die damnit, so please get up."

"What's the point..." she says weakly, eyes downcast to the floor, "It's all pointless either way, whether I die or live. I'll die here and no one will know, but if I return over there, I'm marked as a criminal..."

"You're seriously gonna do this?" you say, looking back at her, "You're gonna just give up here? Don't tell me you're that weak Allie."

"There's no point anymore..." she replies, "My research is gone, my notes are gone, and soon so will my life. I wasted six years of life chasing a fucking ghost...and now that I am witnessing it first hand...I can't even tell anyone..."

'You stupid bitch...'

+1 Trust (Allie Pierce)

There's a shift in your voice, as you grasp part of Allie's face with your remaining hand. She doesn't resist, but she's attempting to avert her gaze from you. In spite of this, you try to get her to listen to your words.

"I am not going to baby you here, alright?" you sternly say to her, her eyes don't shift, "Yeah, you're right, it's gone and it's never coming back Allie, and I am sorry that it came to that. However, I am not going to just sit here and let you curl up and die."

"Think about all of those years of research Allie," you say, there's a twitch of motion as you say this, "Remember what you wanted to do damnit, prevent anyone else from dying to this thing. Well, here's your chance to do it, and I'm going to help you whether you like it or not."

Allie's eyes shift to you for a second, before she her gaze returns to the floor. However, instead of slumping down again, she moves herself up straight and stands up.

"Let got of me," she says, and you do so as she rises, "You've done some awful things to me, even if I know you had your reasons for doing so. I can't forgive everything, but I'll at least take your word for now."

"I know it's too late to apologize now," you reply, "but I can get that restraining order withdrawn, and I'll talk to Paula about getting the charges lifted. Take that as you may, but I am sorry it came to that."

"Yeah, I'm sure you are," Allie states, then looks at the three girls taking their suits to the hall to put them on, "So...guess I'll get set up with everyone else. But you'd better keep your promise if we make back."

You nod in reply, until you hear a strange noise coming from the Gantz. For a few moments, the screen changes to a new message.

[J3w 5hmuck5 wi11 m@y n33d th3s3. H@v3 fun!]

The message stays on the Gantz's screen for a few moments, before you hear the sound of a door unlocking. To the left of the Gantz, one of the side room doors opens up. You and some of the others take a look inside, to see a room with several metal cases and displays on the walls. Most of the displays are sealed and covered behind sheet metal, but middle ones show several pairs of interesting bits of equipment.

The first of which, is a large, Tri-pronged gun.

While the second, look like sets of gloves or gauntlets that carry metal fingertips and have several wires running through them to what you can only guess are batteries or a power supply. Between all of them, there are four pairs of gloves and three of the large guns. You hear a few steps behind you, and then notice Dante's gotten up to look inside as well.

"Before you ask, no I don't know what this is..." Dante states, while entering the room, "But if I had to guess, it's probably for more advanced stuff that Gantz hasn't unlocked yet. Could be helpful...but, I can only guess how strong the targets are going to be if it's unlocking stuff like this..."

"Is he going to be alright?" the middle aged wife asks, "Shouldn't he be resting or-"

"The ball will restore you to the state you entered the room in," he states, looking over some of the equipment, "so long as you're not dead of course. Just...survive and listen to our directions, and you should be...fine."

There's a grimace on his face as he holds up one of the large guns with just one arm. In spite of it, he manages to hold it up and point it at the wall. He pulls on both of the triggers and you see a laser net come out of the 'barrels', much like your Y-Gun. It is then followed by another laser net, and another, and another, and another, and another as they begin to join their segments to make a massive interlocking net much like a fishing or butterfly net that spreads out over the side of the wall.

The middle aged couples jaws drop to the floor, and so does the gun as Dante's struggling to keep it aloft with just one arm. Carol rushes in to help him up, and Dante merely leaves the gun by the display. Before he leaves however, he grabs a pair of gloves and moves outside of the room.

"Take first pick of what you want Erick," he says, looking at you as he passes the door, "And try to be fair about giving it out. I get the feeling this is some pretty strong stuff..."

'Hmm...alright...then."

You enter the room, and motion for Paula to come inside. You notice that the layout is almost circular given the way the display cases are aligned, as well as the strange, round indentation in the middle of the room. To the best of your knowledge however, it just looked like a strange indentation on the floor that did nothing else besides just look like a strange round step.

Without giving the room too much more of an examination, you head to the far middle case and pick up the gun Dante had fired a little earlier. It carries the same firing barrel like your Y-gun yet is much more bulky and heavy than the X-Rifles. You also notice two large metal canisters alongside the weapon's body. They stand out as you'd never seen metal on the weapons up until now, so you can only guess what their purpose may be.

'If it looks and fires like my regular gun,' you think as you try to balance the weapon's grip with both of your arms, 'then perhaps it also has a telefragging feature as well.'

Paula stands next to you and takes a set of gauntlets for herself. After putting them on, surprisingly easily, she presses the buttons and it shrinks to her hand like the suit. She flexes out her fingers, and then makes a punch towards one of the cabinets. Nothing happens, until she decides to take a more serious punch towards it.

There's a crackle of blue on the gauntlet and you physically see a distorting wave ripple towards the metal display. It moves surprisingly fast, and it impacts the metal case with a loud crash. In spite of the impressive display, the metal only dents a little.

"Gotta say, guns are neat," Paula states, eyeing her gloves, "But, I think I may like these a bit better. Anyways let's start giving these out, and hopefully get those two in their suits."

"Gotta say, thought these suits were some kinda weird kink shit," the hispanic chick states, showing off to the other girls "But, looking back on it, they look pretty hot. Imagine, rolling up on Heist's with this shit?"

"Wouldn't recommend it," Paula states, handing Carol the remaining Y-Launcher, "Gantz doesn't like getting unnecessary attention. You go public with those things, and your heads are going to be popping off in the worst way."

"Jeez, leave it to a cop to suck all the fun out of a social life," the hispanic girl states, which only earns her a dismissive head shake from Paula, "Why don't you have a suit on, by the way? I thought you were one of the veterans here or something."

"Work gets in the way of things," Paula states, grabbing her dufflebag, "As well as Gantz not really caring when or where it calls you in. Think on that, the next time you're called in."

As Paula heads to the hallway to change, you finish setting up Tanjeet and Yukino with the remaining pair of gloves for hunt. However, the three girls quickly intercept you after Paula's statement.

"Hey, what gives?! Is she telling the truth?" the hispanic girl speaks up, "Is this thing going to go on for more than just tonight? I got a life outside of this place you know!"

"Well, then make changes," you bluntly state, earning a derisive gasp from the girl, "Like Gantz says, we don't have a say in our lives here anymore, only the objective to survive. Get used to it, otherwise you're...uh...what's your name again?"

"Never said it, but I'm Maria," she states, and then points to her friends, "and these are Claire and Silvia. W-wait, don't try to distract me damnit! Isn't there a way out or something?!"

"Yes, me and my wife can't strain ourselves like we used to," the middle aged man states looking at you, "I am Tom by the way, and my wife is Miranda. We're almost 50 years old, and I don't think we can do this whole 'hunting' thing for long. We're not young like you guys."

"Listen up, and don't interrupt me," you state, looking over the others, "For each kill you get during the Hunt, you get points. Earn 100 points and you can leave the game, but Gantz, that's the ball by the way, will wipe your memories of everything that's happened here."

"100 points?" Tom states, looking at you quizzically, "Alright, that sound simple enough, but...what's the average number of points you get during one of these hunts? We could be at this for longer than expected..."

"I am not sure actually," you admit, "My educated guess is, that the stronger the enemy, the more points you get. We've faced things in the hunt that were worth anything from three to fifty points, but it's not easy or simple to take one of those things down."

"It's like a video game then?" Silvia interjects, making you and the other two girls do a double take at her, "Oh...umm, I don't really play them or anything. I just remember going to arcades that had those gun-shooti games with the guns, and it worked kind of like that with enemies."

"Except here, the danger is real," Dante states, still laying against the wall, "so take everything seriously, otherwise, it'll be your life. Also, you two should really get changed."

Tom and Miranda look at each other for a second and then head out to the hallway with their suits to get changed. They almost run over Paula as they reach the door, who deftly avoids them before they get inside. Not before long however, a familiar whirr of machinery starts in Gantz, and its signature laser hits Dante and begins sending him to the hunt grounds.

"On that same note," you state, looking back at the girls, "You all should probably grab a weapon. Tanjeet gave you pointers, I will hope."

The three girls head closer to the ball, and begin to pull out weapons from the rack. The Silvia and Claire take an X-rifle each, while Maria takes a pair of the X-Pistols.

"He went over the basics," she states, looking back at you, "Use both triggers, has a weird delay, and the reload after 3 shots. As for everything else, we'll see what we can figure out. Won't we girls?"

There's a unified 'YEAH!' from the three of them, before Gantz's laser hits you as well.

Just look what happend in the last hunt. When we started to reach negative status people around us started to die...the truth is this quest is ruthless and we need to plan and take actions very carefully specialy with the one the dice give us fucking us up.

Kurono and company's big issue in the manga was getting everyone to put their suits on, which we have thankfully avoided for the most part.

As for how careful we'll need to be...well considering what happened in the last hunt, I think we need to XCOM crawl our way through this one.

<Session Start>

Your sight shifts with a refracted vision between the room and a calm grassy street. Another second later, the rest of your sight arrives to a familiar sight during the week. A great cathedral, standing several hundred feet into the sky and lit up with spotlights, connects to that calm grassy street you were brought to.

As you finish teleporting, your turn to look around and see that there are several tents and event booths being packed up or taken down. Both clergy members and people you assume are event organizers are still in the area, either helping out with the disassembly or speaking about the event itself. There's dozens of them around the area, but you know Gantz makes them oblivious to you.

"How the hell does it expect us to hunt with this many people around?", you hear Dante ask, not a few feet away from you. He's got his other arm back, thankfully, and it looks like he's set up with his regular X-Rifle and the new gauntlets. You go to reply, but Paula's teleport comes in to interrupt your thought. After exchanging a greeting, she is followed by the others that arrive at random.

"Holy shit, where are we?," Claire states, looking around towards the grounds, "Fuck...there's so many people around us. This whole thing is already shitty enough, I don't want to be seen with this thing on in public."

"Watch your mouth young lady," Tom states, earning a look of annoyance from all three of the girls, "You're standing next to a holy site. It's a great house of god, a cathedral and the largest in the city since 19-"

"Regardless of where we are, we just need to get kill that...thing right?", Maria says, looking over at Dante, who nods in reply, "Soooooo, where is it then? If there's a time to back up your claim, it's now."

"They're not on the radar," Dante states, approaching the group and then looking back at the cathedral itself, "But, I think I found our first search area. We need to head in, otherwise the organizers may close it since the event is already over."

"Agreed, but...what about the people around here?", Tanjeet says, looking around the grounds and pointing towards the many staff and clergy still around, "I know we can't be seen...but, there's just so many of them. Do you think Gantz is going to count them in the hunt as well?"

"We shouldn't focus on them," Dante states, looking back the group, "if they get in the way, then we just shove them aside and finish the hunt. They're not our problem anyways, so just focus on the hunt itself."

Everyone takes a look at Dante, with a face of slight anxiety or pragmatic nods of agreement. Carol in particular, looks a little disturbed by what he said. In spite of this, everyone is surprisingly quiet after he says this.

>Agree, we need to finish the hunt if we want to survive, screw the civilians

Wait we are doing this today? I though we would be doing it only on friday. Abyway i'm happy for this.

I knew Gantz send the old man for a reason he's the one replacing Kurtis so he knows the layout. We should ask him what he knows about the place and set traps for the statues

+1 Trust (Tom & Miranda)

"If you want my opinion, I would try to keep the fighting away from them at least," you state, clearing the silence, "We'll lose time if we try to get them out of here, but we should at least get the enemies away from civilians."

Everyone looks at you with a glance of either slight relief or mild puzzlement. Dante only shakes his head, and closes his eyes.

"Fine, we'll do it like that for now," he says, now looking at the cathedral again, "but don't expect me to save any of these people if trouble comes their way. It's our lives on the line Erick, but I trust your judgement in this much."

You only give him a slight nod, which he replies by simply moving forwards towards the cathedral. You motion to the others to follow right behind you, with Paula and Carol checking your sides. As you move towards the cathedral, you notice there's a slight tremble in Carol's body as she moves forward. Her eyes are also darting around somewhat erratically and her breath is a little uneven. If you had to take a guess, is that she's getting a little unhinged from her brush with almost killing Dante as well as his words just a few moments earlier.

'Carol...don't freak out on us now,' you think, as all approach the main entryway.

As the group all head up the steps towards the entrance, you and a couple of the others take notice of the two large statues standing to both sides of the cathedral's entrance. The statues themselves aren't that huge, both standing just a head taller than you, yet the carved wings and weapons they both hold make them seem surprisingly threatening in spite of their stillness.

Dante and Paula in particular are eyeing them with a inquisitive gaze, which you mimic as the group decides to come to a halt near the entrance. There's something familiar about these statues, like their carved faces and hairstyles are so similar to those you saw in the room. Though like Dante mentioned, there was nothing showing an alien on the radar nearby.

'Can't be like the mushroom thing,' you think, eyeing the statue closer, 'something isn't right here though...but...they look like the por-.'

"Don't they look like those weird portraits on that ball?", Maria says, taking a look as well, "This can't be it, right? They're statues."

"Yeah, you said it would be an alien," Silvia says, and Claire finishes her sentence, "This is starting to sound more bull by the second you know..."

"There's something about these things though," you state, then look at the people passing through the entrance unhindered, "something isn't right though...they're just letting people pass through..."

"Let me borrow this for a second," you state to Paula, pointing at her X-Gun, "I need to see if these things are the real deal. They could be trying to ruse the scanners again."

"I get that feeling too," she replies, handing you the X-Gun, "I am going to assume you have a plan if this is the real deal?"

"Yeah, give me a moment," you state, and then look at Dante, "Set up with Paula bellow the stairs, and if you see any movement then shoot at will. Tanjeet, and Carol, take the others to them well, and make sure Paula and Dante have a clear firing line."

"What are you planning on doing?" Tanjeet asks, looking somewhat worried. You don't reply as you move past them, and motion them down the steps.

"Hey what gives?" Maria says, looking at you, "What do you mean move back? You'd better not be-"

"You wanted to your proof right?" you interrupt, and look at her with a glaring visage, "Well, we may just get one. Don't miss, or I may be dead."

She gives you an equal glare and turns back with the others. With them out of the main entryway, you unholster Paula's X-Gun and activate its secondary mode. The screen on the gun rings a blue silhouette over the left statue, which at first doesn't look too strange, until you notice a strange inner lining within the blue. It runs like some sort of strange, fleshy tubing throughout the body of the statue.

'There's...something inside it,' you state, looking back at the statue without the scanner. In that second however, you lock eyes with the statue. Or rather, its eyes move to meet yours.

For what seems like a minute, you stand motionless before the alien statue. Its gaze meeting yours with an immovable expression, yet you know that it is completely locomotive. The minute ends, as its eyes shift, which you see this time, towards the group. You got to shout, and let Dante and the others know that these things are alive, when you start to hear the sounds of stone and marble creak in motion right behind you. Then, a slight gust of wind and the sound of solid, stone and marble footsteps right below it.

It doesn't take long before two lights in the distance intercept this motion. At the same time, you then see the statue before you rock to motion as its wings unfurl and create a small gust of air before you as it leaves its pedestal with heavy steps. Several more lights fire on it as well, before you take a few steps back to seem them both take flight in the direction of the lights.

'Damnit...it's heading right for the others!'

You pull up the massive Y-Launcher to your side. It'll only take one shot...

-2 INT

Your aim is slightly heavier with this thing, yet it may not really matter if the spread on the gun is as enormous as you saw it when it casted its net on the side room wall. That being said, they are moving fast towards the others. If the range on it is as long as your regular Y-Gun, then it should't be as much of an issue however.

Without deliberating on your equipment much further, you line up your shot expertly towards the one you were facing and see the first of the net spools unfurl towards the alien, followed by several more as they all fuse to meet the alien in the air. However, all of the nets deploy about a foot away from the alien and it deploys on the ground, covering the grass with its laser webbing.

"FUCK!", you shout to the skies, and race down the steps to try to intercept the aliens. However, as you do, the aliens themselves flinch for a few moments as the explosive feedback of the firing line finally hit them. It doesn't last long however as they resume their flight path towards the group.

They scatter to the sides, with Dante, Paula, Yukino and Allie moving towards the right side of the cathedral with the spear alien close behind. The others however, aren't fast enough or don't know how to activate their suits fast enough, as the sword alien descends swiftly on them with terrible force. it manages to clip Tom in the back and relentlessly start to stab into him as he begs for his life on the grass.

The others, the three girls, run towards the farther side of the cathedral, or remain in the ground out of terror, Miranda, or start taking shots at the alien, like Carol and Tanjeet.

'Fuck...not again...', you think as you run towards...

Not really. We are playing Ganzt here. If anything, he should up the difficulty. Maybe make it so we get the media between the two better rolls.

Part of the appeal of a Ganzt quest is uncertainty and a very real possibility of death. We are set to fail.

Maybe, if we got more genre savvy we could have blasted the angel before it left the pedestal. But we didn´t and now we will taste his spear.

At least we have Lunging Save, that will help us save somebody from dying in this initial salvo.

You're about two feet away from the angel as you spot the three girls running away. They haven't activated their suits either, but they are moving fast and out of the immediate area.

"HEY! GET BACK HERE DAMNIT!" you shout, but they don't seem to stop, "WE CAN'T AFFORD TO SPLIT UP DAMNIT!"

You don't shout further as several explosions light up the sound and scenery next to you. The sound of stone cracking make your eyes move towards the alien, its sword red with blood and gore and the stone on its face cracking to reveal...something fleshy underneath. It doesn't waste much time, as he moves towards Tanjeet and Carol with incredible speed. You try to catch up, but its wings create such powerful wind pressure moving forward, that it almost blows you away and stops your movement dead on its tracks.

It barrels towards the two of them and unleashes its sword towards Tanjeet, and he moves to the side quickly. This is a ruse however, as you see it pivot in mid air and it glides its sword along its right side, towards Carol. She tries to move away as well, but the sword strikes her along the back. The cut isn't deep, but you see that the spinal segment is torn off of her suit as she is tossed to the ground.

"Not again..." you say under your breath readying your Y-Launcher, "I'm still here damnit! DON'T FUCKING IGNORE ME YOU ALIEN BASTARDS!"

You're not gonna make the same mistake again. This time, you take a running start towards the alien and hit it as close as you think will be safe. The nets go flying out of the launcher, and deploy right on top of the alien. The massive net is cast around the alien's body, as it almost bears down on Carol, and pins it to the ground underneath its mass webbing.

The sheer amount of nets make it almost impossible for the alien to move, doubly so as the nets deploy their anchors, finally pinning the alien right to the grass. You can see it struggling and shaking maddly, yet the nets do not let up and pin it even further, laying it almost prone as it sticks to one knee.

'Goodbye you bastard.'

You press the triggers again, certain that the gun will activate the teleportation beam. Yet, instead of coming from the sky, you hear that familiar whirr of the Gantz inside of the gun itself. A second later, the gun's barrels split apart, and the center of them unleash the teleportation beam, beginning to cut the alien apart slab by slab.

'Holy shit...it's integrated into the gun?!'

Your grip is solid as the gun itself doesn't rock back at all when it fires the laser. But it doesn't further than the top of its wings when you see the Alien's sword begin to glow red. One second later, a beam of pure red and orange light cuts through the grass as the alien's sword glows with a fire-like hue. Its waves it in his hands for a second, before it cuts through the first piece of netting. Before long however, the alien is freed from its prison, and stands up again.

You try to press the buttons on the Y-Launcher, but the laser won't respond. The screen on its replies with a large red "NO TARGET". You don't stare at the screen much longer, as the alien comes barreling towards you as well.

You take the few seconds as it flies towards you to dodge the hell out of the way. This time however, the pivot doesn't come as its maneuvering is wavered from losing part of its wing. The alien instead, slashes his sword from the ground, and lifts up a curtain of fire from its slash towards you. The fire manages to just graze your thigh, but the heat is intense enough to cause you to flinch is intense pain and land on your back.

You try to get up, but the alien is right on top of you with its sword aimed right at your throat. For a few brief moments, you see part of the sections that are breaking off in it. They are beginning to leak out a bit, with a viscous, semi-solid orange slime out of parts of its face. The slime or whatever it is, moves in an almost undulating pattern to return beneath the statue's shell.

This sight would seem to be your last, as the alien moves its sword right towards you, but a series of explosions cause it to quiver and shake in its resolve. On the last shot however, there's an explosion of orange fluid, straight from its back and the alien roils in pain.

You hear an ear piercing shriek as the orange fluid hits the grass and begins to sizzle and writhe before withering away. It turns its attention back away from you again, exposing the massive hole on its back as it goes to kill whatever hurt it.

'Gonna regret that, motherfucker!'

The alien doesn't get more than a few steps away from you before you unleash into the cross fire of incoming shots with three straight shots to its exposed back. The orange, worm-like slime begins to wrap itself to fill in the hole caused by the previous explosion but something is causing to become slower as it reaches the hole. The alien notices your shooting too late however, and as it turns its head to look at you, three explosions rock its body apart.

The first sends a shower of the orange slime worms to the ground where they writhe before dying in a pool of slime. The second explodes a hole through the front part of its stone shell, piercing its right through. The third however, causes an explosion in the slime trying to seal the hole so hard that the entire alien's body is split in half from the waist. Its torso lands on the grass several feet away from you, still clutching its sword, while the legs and waist land right on top of you.

To your amazement, it still moves and manages to kick you right in the face. While it doesn't hurt you, it pisses you off further and you activate the suit. With the suit's enhanced strength, you smash the shell casing on the legs spill out the now writhing slime inside. This takes you a little less than a few seconds, before you notice that the alien's torso, is attempting to fly away.

You don't waste anymore time thinking about it, as the alien has managed to become airborne as you finished off its legs. You holster Paula's X-Gun and take a running leap at the Alien with your X-Launcher. There's an audible screech from it, as the nets knock it straight out of the air, cause it drop its sword, and wrap around its writhing frame. The nets deploy on the grass below and the webbing pins it straight down.

It barely even struggles beneath the netting as it flays in abject pain from having its writhing insides be exposed to the outside world. You press the buttons on your Y-Launcher again, and the laser deploys on the writhing alien's frame. With half of its body already gone, the alien's remaining mass is teleported by the gun in less than a few seconds. Once it finishes, the screen reports 89% remaining memory storage, before the gun retracts.

You look over the field and see that Tanjeet has given Carol some slight first aid as he managed to find some bandages, probably from one of the tents. Miranda on the other hand is kneeling over the maimed body of her husband, sobbing uncontrollably and not moving an inch from it. As for the girls...

"Hey! We had that you know!" you hear a shout in the distance, and two hands wave to you as they come closer. Claire and Silvia approach your side from the bottom of the dip in the Cathedral hill, with Maria helping to pull up Carol on the side.

"Tanjeet said that these things are better used from range," Claire says, looking apologetic, "We weren't trying to run away...well...at first. Maria brought us back, but was kind of too scared herself to get close."

"Thanks for coming back regardless," you state as the others return, "We've got to help the others, they could be in bigger trouble than us."

"Wait a minute, what about that sword?", Tanjeet states, pointing at the sword, "Or her?"

You all look at Miranda, who doesn't seem to be moving too much now as she lays on top of her husband's body.

"Forget them, we need to help the others," you state, but then feel a hand on your shoulder.

"Wait, but what about...Miran-", Carol starts to say, but you give her a look of command.

"We need to help those that we can," you reply clearly, so everyone in the group hears you, "She's lost as is, and will slow us down just as much as that sword. Now, let's get moving."

Carol's hand leaves your shoulder, and she only nods her to you. Her eyes are in that familiar downcast portion, like she wants to talk back to you, but something keeps her from doing so. The Tanjeet sighs, but soon follows your side, with Carol following right behind him.

"Whoa, harsh," Maria says, looking back at Miranda, "Welp, sucks for her. Let's get moving girls."

Claire and Silvia nod in unison and move to close the distance to your side.

When you arrive to the right side of the cathedral you're held privy to a strange, yet miraculous sight. On the stone wall of the cathedral, lies the exploded remains of the alien, impaled by its own spear at the torso. Its limbs and head are no longer there, only holes for that worm-like slime to seep through and writhe at the bottom of the cathedral wall.

Alongside the grass, Dante and Yukino stand in unison looking over the alien's body. To their right, Paula is kneeling down next to what you assume is Allie, who doesn't seem to be moving too much and twitches slightly seemingly at random.

"Hey!", you state, running to their side, "Is everyone alright?! What happened?"

Yukino is the first to meet you, as she runs to your side and nearly tackles you with a hug. Dante is close behind but Paula remains with Allie.

"It was really scary Erick," Yukino states, looking at you, "it came at us so fast, and almost managed to hit Paula. I stopped it though, with the gun you taught me how to use!"

"Good job kiddo," you state, brushing up her hair and Dante moves closer, "What happened to Allie?"

"It was the spear, it was electrified," he says, pointing to it still impaling the alien, "Allie tried to see if she could wrestle it away when it tried to stab Paula, but she took the full brunt force of it. She's alive...but she can't move. What about your group?"

"We lost Tom, and Miranda isn't coming with us," you reply, with Dante sighing in disappointment, "The alien is dead though, so I think we can enter the cathedral properly now."

"Don't count on it too much," Paula says, looking at you, "the advertising for the event accounted for four statues of those things. If they are the same kind of alien, then there's at least 2 more of them somewhere around here."

"Wait, there's more of those things?" Maria shouts, looking at Paula, "The ball only stated two targets, right? What gives?!"

"It's not an accurate assessment," Carol replies, earning curious looks from the girls, "It never actually shows us all of the aliens on board. It only ever did it once, and even then the alien in question could alter its appearance."

"Holy fuck..." Claire states, starting to shake, "How many more of these things do we have to kill then?"

"Calm down," Silvia says, trying to soothe her, "they said it was two more, so...we just have to take them down right?"

No one replies to that, and the silence is permeated further at a slight moan coming from Allie. Paula is at her side, trying to listen in to what she's saying. The moans are incoherent at first, but you can hear them clearly after a bit.

"I-I-it h-h-hurts t-to mo-v-ve r-r-right n-o-ow..." you can hear her say, "L-l-lea-v-ve m-me...I w-w-will...sl-o-o-ow yo-u-u dow-n..."

"Stop saying stupid shit," Paula replies bluntly still at her side, "if we leave you here, then those things are bound to finish you off. I'll-"

+1 Trust (Allie)

Allie was a dumb woman, no, she was a very dumb woman with too much resolve for her own good. She had every reason to hate you and Paula's guts for having ruined her life, at least relatively speaking, though Gantz had certainly managed finalize it. Yet, in spite of it all, she had put her own life at risk to save Paula, someone she was especially fearful of. It almost seemed like a final dose of painful, irony to be rewarded with a jolt of paralysis for her help.

"Tanjeet, get her to a safer area, some of the buildings around here should be fine enough," you state, and he nods in response to your words, "Yukino, I need you to stay with them. We're in enough danger as is and-"

"NO!", she retorts back, her face lighting up in a frown, "I want to help you and Paula. I can't leave you all behind, what if you need my help like Paula and Allie did?"

"Yukino, we're going to need your help in the end," you reply, "but right now, you need to help them. You need to keep them safe, at least until Allie recovers, alright?"

Yukino looks down a little, but perks her head up to nod in agreement. She gives you one last hug, before she leaves with Tanjeet, who hoists Allie to his shoulders and heads towards the closest staff building. As they head out of sight, Dante comes back to show you something on the radar.

"Something weird is going here man," he says, as you see a glowing dot on the radar, "That shit just appeared out of nowhere man, even the statues didn't appear when they started moving."

"Speaking of which," you interject, and then point to the impaled angel, "That's dead for sure right?"

"Breh, it's almost leaked out completely," he says, pointing to the dissolving puddle of orange slime below the corpse, "But right now, this thing on the radar is freaking me out. I've never seen something just...APPEAR on it out of nowhere..."

"You sure it's not more of Gantz's uncertain information?" Maria states, looking at the radar, "Wait...Silvia, don't you have one of those as well?"

"Yeah, but you guys never told me how to use it...", she replies, somewhat saddened until Dante gives her a quick rundown, "Hmm...alright, so I am seeing that dot as well...but...it's moving in a weird pacing pattern. Like it's talking on the phone or something."

'Whatever it is...I think we have a few options on how to proceed...'

Well hopefully no. On another note:

Maybe the angels are just constructs (that's why they don't showed up in the scanner) and the real alien, most likely the same guy that asked to have the statues build then killed the artist. So there is actually just one alien and the statues are aome kind of automated defenses.
>>
>>2427546
>the angels are just constructs

I am not sure actually, considering they appeared as targets. Unless Gantz is incorporating mechanical constructs as targets...but I don't remember it doing that in the manga.

>>2427546
>most likely the same guy that asked to have the statues

Wait, who? Was there ever a mention of someone that commissioned them or that the artist died?

Also when we get a chance we should tell the girls with the x-rifle about the x-ray feature.

>You take the X-Rifle, since you're a little more familiar with it, and see that it does indeed have an x-ray feature on it. Or rather a strange variant of an x-ray as you're not just able to see through skin into bone, but also through metal and even parts of the ground itself.

The Tanaka aliens

>Wait, who? Was there ever a mention of someone that commissioned them or that the artist died?

Dunno just a guess since this angels are replacing other statues that should be here.
>>
>>2427564
>The Tanaka aliens

But those had birds inside of them. Unless you're saying that the statues are like the Tanaka suits. At which I would say, they aren't really automated in that regard, because those worms or slime inside seem biological.

"I think...splitting up may be a safer alternative, ironically enough" you start, and get a raised eyebrow from Dante, "If Paula's right, then we still need to find the rest of those things to complete the mission. But...I am also worried about what that thing in the cathedral may be, or why it even appeared there..."

"Rushing in there is a problem," Silvia states, looking at her own radar, "If those things don't show up on the map, then we could get jumped the moment we walk in."

"Not if we go in quiet and cloaked," Paula replies, and Silvia gives her a perplexed look, "Your radar also functions as a cloaking system. Though, it doesn't mask noise and it will deactivate if you fire a weapon."

"Yeah, we can work with that," you continue off of Paula, "Dante, Paula and Silvia can scout inside, while the rest of us hunt down the remaining aliens. If Dante's group finds anything, find us near the cathedral entrance."

Everyone nods in response to the plan, except Silvia who's looking a little worried. Claire notices before you though, and goes to give her a warm hug.

"Hey, don't worry sissy," she says, letting go as she says this, "It'll just be for a bit, alright? Just...don't do anything too crazy in there."

"We'll keep her safe Claire," Paula says, giving them a warm nod. Claire nods in reply, and let's Silvia go. Her face reflects a familiar sense of faith in her sister, and she turns towards Dante and Paula.

"Let's get going guys," you say to the four girls on your team and you head towards the other end of the Cathedral.

As you pass the entrance of the Cathedral towards the left side, you notice the amount of people that begin to huddle around the main staircase. Many of them are staff of the event, looking around the two opposing pedestals for the statues. You figure the revelation itself may just blow their minds if they actually found out what really happened to them.

'It'll make our job easier at least,' you think, as your team rounds about the entrance. Yet, as you come across the grassy field of the left side, you notice something off. Tom's body is gone, as is Miranda who you guess may have either run or was taken by the aliens. But...there's also something missing from the field.

"Hey...where did that alien's legs go?" you ask, as the others looking around with you, "I left it here, totally crushed. Where di-"

"Erick, look up there," Maria interrupts you , and points towards the Cathedral's southern tower. As you adjust your eyes, you see the shape of flapping wings, with a glimmer of orange splattered on its side. It's another angel alien, this time looking more feminine in proportion and with longer locks of stone and marble hair. As the alien turns slightly towards the top of the tower, you also see a pair of broken stone legs in its arms.

"Shit...what the hell is it-" you start, and Carol's shaking finger interrupts you towards another set of flapping wings. This time towards another alien, heading up towards the far side of the twin cathedral towers. This one looks more masculine in appearance and is holding a long, cane-like rod in its hands, along with...

"Miranda...", you state, not taking your eyes off of the alien, as it hoists her body towards the top of the tower.

"We need to help her!," you shout to the others and start racing towards the front towers of the Cathedral. It's not long before the others follow your lead, but Claire and Maria lag behind a little bit.

"Wait, how though?!" Maria shouts, trying to keep up with you and Carol, "That's so damn high up!"

"Use the suits!" Carol shouts at them, "Tanjeet told you what they do, just focus on getting to the tower and they should activate!"

Maria and Claire want to protest, but by this point, Carol and yourself have already activated the suit. The muscular and physical enhancement enlarges both of your bodies as you each take a running leap towards the closes point of advancement up the Cathedral's wall. Upon reaching one of the cathedral's outer perches, you and Carol start making the swift climb.

Rolled 6 + 2 (1d20 + 2) +1 from Suit Mastery (Intermediate)

As you climb up the perch and onto the Cathedral's buttresses, you realize too late that the majority of the climb towards the roof doesn't have much footing or ledges to propel yourself upwards. This only makes the climb all the more difficult, as you have to rely on precise and powerful jumps from the suit. Thankfully, the amount of training with the suit has improved substantially and you manage these jumps with ease.

Carol herself struggles with the footing, but keeps her step long enough to stay right on your heels as you arrive on the roof. In spite of this, the climb takes you longer than expected with the amount of precise jumping you have to do. The alien gone out of your sight and has made it to the top of the tower by now.

It is there however, that you realize that the tower itself has no perches or hanging points to climb up. There's a bit of you that curses the alien for choosing such a high location. This rage focuses your mind however, as you quickly realize that the only way up, will be through sheer force. You take a running start towards the tower, ignoring Carol's question of what to do next.

Upon reaching the midway point toward the tower, you take a running leap, several feet high with the suit's incredible capabilities and launch yourself forwards. Before you impact it, you reel you fist back, and punch into the cathedral's stone. The stone parts and shatters as your suit enhanced arm makes a sizable hole on the side for your hand to grab onto.

Soon after, more stone and marble are smashed into the tower by your fists as you make the treacherous climb towards the top of the tower. You don't let up however, even as the suit's lights begin to blink from the amount of power you're exhibiting. With your running leap, you started at the midway point of the tower, yet now you're almost to the very summit. Making a few more heavy indents towards the top, you propel yourself upwards towards the summit with your enhanced arms.

Mid leap to the top however, you realize that you're too late. In the amount of time it took you to climb to the top, Miranda is lying in a growing pool of blood, as her wrists, ankles, throat and chest have been pierced through. The alien is standing next to her, looking at her corpse as if it is waiting for something to occur. You see that the bottom of its staff is coated in her blood, and see a barbed tip at the end like a fishing harpoon or auger.

You not gonna give it the chance to do much else however. Still in mid air, you decide to...

The Y-Launcher is a heavy weapon, and probably one of the main reasons as to why you were slowed down on your climb. Its rigid and destructive form rocking on your leg holster from an external clip. Yet, in those few seconds of airborne presence, you fluidly retrieve it and aim its sights right at the alien. Its weight is ignored in your hands, as you fingers quickly find the trigger take the shot.

Rolled 9 + 4 (1d20 + 4)

The gun is steady, and your aim is true as the nets fly out of the launcher and hit dead center onto the alien. It doesn't even register the movement until it is far too late, only moving its head towards you as the nets fly onto him. The wide spanning net traps him underneath with a great amount of force.

Much to your own horror, you see Miranda's body trapped beneath it as well. There's a moment of debate in your head as you hesitate to pull the trigger again, and then resolve yourself to it regardless. You rationalize that she's probably lost too much blood as is, and given the positioning of her wounds, there's probably no saving her either way.

'I'm sorry...'

As you land onto the roof of the tower, the laser splits the barrels once again and the gun begins to teleport the alien's form, slab by slab. As it struggles in the net however, you notice too late that its hands have managed to move its staff towards the tower itself. From the tip of it, you notice a faint blue glow begin to build on it. The laser is partway down the alien's head and wingtips, before an crackling of frost and ice begins to grow out of the alien's staff tip.

The ice spreads quickly on the top of the roof, almost reaching your feet before the alien lets go of its staff momentarily. It reels back a punch to the roof, and a large portion of it shatters beneath the alien's fist. You reel back in shock and almost let go of the gun as you press yourself against the spire. With the floor beneath the alien gone, and the net looses its perch as it, the alien and Miranda's body fall to the bottom of the tower.

"Erick!", a voice calls out behind you, and you see Carol finally reach the top of the tower. She looks over you, and towards the large hole on the roof.

"What the hell-" Carol starts, yet a familiar flapping of stone wings interrupts her. Yet to your surprise, instead of coming from the hole, the flaps come from behind you both. You each turn around, to see the form of the feminine alien, making its way towards your tower at a fast approach.

'Damnit...not now..'

"Carol, go after the one that fell," you state, and then position yourself to face the female alien, "Your launcher has a laser that'll deploy after you net it. Go now!"

Carol nods a little shakily and heads towards the hole on the roof. Before she heads in however, she takes one last look at you, as if she wants to say something. It's a moment of pause, before she turns her head and heads down the hole to the alien.

You only notice her jump down before the female alien begins to quickly close the distance to your perch on the edge of the roof. It is much more sleek and wispy than the other aliens, and it holds no weapons besides what looks like a strange thorny reed or rose in its arms. Also, you notice that the wind pressure begins to increase around you as the angel gets closer.

The standard wind buffet from their wings taking off was strong enough, but the sheer wind current covering this alien is much stronger. You figure that even approaching this one is going to be a challenge. The alien is a few feet from you now, and the wind pressure is beginning to make your legs brace, when you see a few familiar dots on the edge of the cathedral's roof. Maria and Claire arrive to the side and are almost blown away with the sheer force of wind on the roof, only managing to hang on to the side of one of the buttresses.

'How the hell...are we meant to get near...?'

Your mind races as the angel makes the final stretch towards you, this time the wind pressure becoming even more powerful as you can't even raise your gun forward for fear of being blow away. It is 3 feet away from you when you plant your feet onto the roof, and...

>Signal to the girls, and distract the alien so they can get a clear shot

The alien has closed the distance to you and it is taking every bit of your strength to keep your balance. The flapping of its wings is letting lose a near twister level of wind pressure as you struggle to keep your footing.Taking a note from your climbing of the tower, you plant your feet to both sides of the roof, enough to cause an indent into the stone itself, and let out a sheer whistle with one of your remaining hands.

Your eyes can barely register the wave in the distance from Maria and Claire as your eyes are pounded by the wind as well. You notice they move, unhindered towards the main roof, with Clair positioning herself near the middle of it and Maria moving closer to the alien. Your eyes close after this revelation, as the wind is beginning to affect them with dust particles.

'The wind only hits what's in front...', you think as you continue to resist the current, 'But...what the hell is it waiting for? It's not...attacking...'

After a few seconds, you hear a few shots behind the din of the wind's current and soon see the alien's left wing and right wings begin to shatter and crack as the barrage hits them. In spite of this, it not only doesn't stop its windy barrage, but increases it even further. Your arms and legs are buckling and begin to give way as the alien's small twister begins to dig you out of the roof. The tornado only lasts a few seconds however, as an orange explosion from the back of the alien causes it to screech in pain and the wind to seize.

You finally manage to retain your footing as the wind dies down and the alien begins to plummet to the roof of the cathedral. Claire and Maria don't let up their barrage against the alien, continuing to chip away at it as it falls. At the moment the alien impacts the roof with a cracking slam, you notice a familiar shape descend from the roof of the south tower. It's the sword alien, its shell fully restored and it is moving towards the girls at breakneck speed.

'But...how?'

While it doesn't have its sword, its aggressive streak doesn't let up as it collides with Claire and grapples her off of the roof and they fall to the bottom of the cathedral.

"CLAIRE!", Maria shouts as she goes to jump down after the alien and Claire. You look over as this all happens, almost too quickly to react and then notice that the female alien's rose is glowing green, and her broken wings are beginning to regenerate.

'You bitch!'

I would say we save the girls and regroup but then again this will give the angels time to recover both their allies and their weapons.

There is also the fact that we barely managed to damage her without the girls help so there is that too.

Although, what about we try a snapshot at the angel, even if just to keep it in place and then we run after the girls? That will keep her pinned for a bit and gets us enough time to properly finish off the angel down.

>Take a snapshot at the female angel to pin it down and go down as quickly as you can to help out.

Those girls are going to be in a lot of trouble fighting that alien, but everyone is going to be in more danger if this alien can continue regenerating things. There's not much time to decide as you take a running leap from the roof of the tower and onto the female alien. You land on its back, cracking a section of the roof beneath your impact but it manages to hold as the alien is now prone beneath you. It continues to regenerate, but there are more cracks on its back from the point of your landing.

You take a few steps back, and point the Y-Launcher at the alien and let loose a mess of nets to pin it down. The alien's wings and body are still regenerating, but the sheer pressure of the net is keeping it nailed to the roof. It doesn't even struggle all that much as you see that its wings cannot lift up further to start up another wind current. You go to telefrag the alien away, when you hear a scream from the bottom of the cathedral.

You look over the left side where Claire and the alien fell, and you see that the alien is doing assault after assault of raw punches at them both. The buttons on their suits begin to blink as they try to run away and shoot, but the alien has learned to avoid their shots more effectively now. You do a quick glance back at the other alien and notice that it is barely even moving.

'There's no way it's getting out of there,' you think, and then take a running leap to the girls' location, 'so, let's do this again you bastard.'

The muscles on your legs expand and launch you forward from the roof like a powerful springboard. You soar through the air with incredible force, towards the alien on the grassy hill. The amount of speed you're picking up as you descend allows you to angle your body forward, as you head like a missile right for the alien. You reel your fist back, and let it go the moment the alien is a few feet away from you.

As you took your jump, Claire is punched with such force that she lands several feet from the alien. Her suit finally gives out from the pressure of the alien's continuous blows, and the jell in the buttons is released as it powers down. Maria's own suit is close to shutting down as well, as she was only a side target for the alien and is now lying in pain a few meter away from the two.

The alien wastes no time in finishing off Claire, lifting her up by her hair and reels back again to possibly crush her face. In the next few moments however, its own head is cracked in half by an even stronger force. The impact of your punch is sudden and destructive as several tons of force and gravity behind your fist are dropped straight to the back of the alien's head.

There's another screech of pain from it as an explosion of orange slime and white marble dot the grassy field. The alien itself is reeling back from the impact, and you're back on your feet almost immediately to continue with hammer-blow after hammer-blow of enhanced punches to the alien's body. Whatever monstrous spirit is empowering you alongside the suit, causes the alien's body to start cracking and break.

That is, until it decides to start fighting back again. It begins to block you now, and adopts a defensive stance to meet with your sheer strength.

'I've got to give them time to recover,' you think, as you ready another barrage of blows to the alien.

Your suit's enhanced strength meets the alien's own rock hard blows in a frenetic and violent spectacle. You've never taken self-defense courses, but the pure tenacity of your attack is more than enough to keep up with the alien's own. The sheer speed and force of your exchanged attacks creates ripples of wind that causes parts of the grass to fold.

After about 5 seconds that feel like a full minute to your adrenaline powered mind, you see that the alien's blows are beginning to slow down as the wind up for his punches takes longer. You take this opportunity in the next few blows, that land straight into the alien's abdomen and finally cave in the marble, releasing its precious orange slime.

As the alien reels back, you don't let up your assault as you continue to strike into its body and the remains of its head. After landing a crippling overhead axe-blow, the alien is knocked prone. An orange explosion of slime as its neck finally cracks and snaps in half, cause it now begin to crawl away from you slowly on the ground.

Seeing an opportunity to finish it off, you got to land a downward punch, when a familiar force of gale-like wind blows you back. The alien's wings propel it up from its prone position and send you back a few feet. It is now flying away towards the base of the Cathedral, towards its sword.

'You tricky son of a...' you seethe in your mind, as you head to run after it. It is moving away from you almost too quickly to follow on foot, until a set of explosions to its side shatter its left wing. Another explosion takes off its right arm as the alien plummets down not a few meet away from the sword. You don't take the time to turn to see where the shots came from, as you launch yourself to the alien's body again.

Your foot meets the now fragile back of its upper body, and it pierces through to the other side. The alien writhes underneath your feet, pinned by your enhanced muscular mass.

In spite of you pinning it down, the alien is still trying to desperately crawl away towards the sword. Its remaining wing struggling and beating as it tries to knock you away, but you just power through its windy onslaught. With both of your hands, you take its moving digit, and snap it in half, releasing more of the orange slime from the crushed stone.

This is then followed by you stepping off of the alien's body, and it taking the chance to start moving again. Its movement doesn't last long, as your hands meet the alien's exposed back and your suit enhanced strength lifts the alien above your head. The sheer weight is tremendous, but the suit's able to carry it for you as it continues to struggle even now. With an image of rage and fury at this thing that killed Tom, and potentially injured the girls, you begin to pull your arms apart.

The feat of strength causes the alien to thrash even further, screeching even more at the sheer pain, but you don't relent. The pressure in your grip causes the marble to crack and the alien's body to start shaking violently. With the most powerful pull you can manage on your arms, the alien's body is shattered into two pieces and you're bathed in its orange semi-solid fluid.

"Holy shit...", you hear a voice say behind you, and see that Maria and Claire are right there next to you, "Holy fuck...Erick...you're..."

"Finish it off," you say, looking back up to the cathedral, "There's still one more out there."

The girls silently nod and approach the alien's remains and finish off its still moving torso and legs with as much fire power as they can give. You look towards the top of the cathedral and take a running start to the top. Or you would have, if an icy explosion had not broken through the north tower.

<Continued>

You can hear screaming and struggling from the top of the roof and you waste no more time making it up there. Upon making it to the top, much easier this time around, you are met with a gruesome sight. Carol is sprawled unconsciously on the side the roof, one of her arms is missing and part of her suit is flapping uselessly from the ripped side. You can see a buildup of frost and a blue and black tone to her skin where her arm is missing. The sight almost makes your heart sink, until you see the alien.

Half of the alien's torso is missing, as it seems to have shattered apart or been broken off. You can see a similar build up of frost on its side, but your eyes gravitate to its cross-hilt cane, which has been impaled through its left torso and the alien is struggling with all of its might to dig it out. Maria arrives to the rooftop not a second sooner after you.

"Oh my god, Carol..." she states, then looks at you, as if asking for an order.

You rush of physical blows never comes as the alien's wide posture to meet your blows leaves it unbalanced enough for you to swing an enhanced leg to its ankle. The piece doesn't shatter, but the angel isn't able to pull itself up in time to stop you from sliding towards its side. -1 INT, -1 MOV

The shots pelt the alien's back, chipping apart bits of its armor as you land on the other side. You don't wait for the weapon to reload however, as you then rush the alien headfirst. However, as you make your approach you soon realize that the shots impacted too close to where the alien's cane had impaled it. With the new creases in its armor opened, the alien takes the opportunity you created to pull apart its cane from it abdomen.

You're two feet away from the alien when it swiftly releases the cane from its back and points the tip towards you. The momentum causes you to stumble as you try to stop, and almost fall off the side of the roof. Or you would have, if a sudden, painful, chilly slash begins to build up on your left wrist. The pain swiftly turns agonizing as a blue beam cuts you, and part of the room in a singular line. Your skin icy blue and necrotic black, as frost and ice crystals begin to build around it.

In spite of the horrific pain, you dodge to the other side of the roof in order to further avoid the alien's beam. As you reach the other side of the roof however, you hear a horrific crack from your left wrist, and see that the ice and part of your skin and flesh begins to crack apart. Soon enough, you notice the inner workings of your tendons and shattering bones as your hand shatters into icy meat chunks. Without the feeling left in your hand, the pain is entirely an imagined idea in your mind as you shout in agony at your lost limb.

It is between the realization that your left hand is gone, and you moving to the side that you notice the alien beginning to move away from you and towards...the still trapped alien on the tower's bottom.

'It's...gonna release it...'

At this point however, you hear several shots in the distance. The alien turns its head too late, as several explosions hit its right leg, causing it to lose its footing and come plummeting down the side of the cathedral. You make your way to the other side of the roof, to see the faces of Paula, Dante and Silvia firing shot after shot at the alien's body at the bottom of the ramparts. Right next to them, you see Claire, Carol and Maria, who notice you not a few moments later.

'I...can't believe it...' you think, waving them off with your remaining hand, 'She didn't listen to me...' After taking a painful chuckle at the appropriate irony, you hear another bit of rustling from the other side of the roof. You take one look at the still trapped alien on the roof, and glare your eyes with vengeful intent.

'It's not over yet.'

Congratulations everyone, you've reached the midway point of the hunt. Yeah, kind of a deus ex-machina conclusion, but I am cutting you guys some slack on account of some smart choices made by the anons this time around.

We will reconvene for the second half of Hunt 3 next Friday at 3:00 PM EST.

Check up on my twitter for updates, scheduling changes and other goodies I will post.

Have yourselves a wonderful night /qst/.

Well, it could have been worse. Could have lost more than just a hand. As long as we survive the hunt, we get full regen thanks to Gantz, so it's just a matter of safely clearing the rest of the angels plus the boss.

Also
>Fire Sword = Uriel
>Ice Cane = Raphael
>Lightning Spear = Michael
>Wind Vines = Gabriel
I will bet you ANY money that all of them have 80s hair, and that the boss is gonna be Metatron, complete with eyebeams

Fucking hell Third mission is a bitch.

Hey guys. Spent the last few days reading the threads and I'm loving it. I hope to being something fresh to the table that hopefully gives us an edge. Someone remind me of my list in case I forget?

>>2427546
Maybe they're like those colonies of work creatures in halo, or maybe they register as alien because they were made by one. Hmmmm.

Idle thought as I catch up in this thread: how dope would it be for the widow to take the flaming sword and smite aliens with it? Like some kind of badass sister of battle in the ordos xenos from warhammer 40k (probably not the exact role but close enough)

>As the alien turns slightly towards the top of the tower, you also see a pair of broken stone legs in its arms.
Something interesting. So they know companionship or something?

Idle thought: excessive use of double tap for maximum safety. No loose ends (get it? Cuz the legs?)

Just realized: oh fuck. There goes my widowed sister of battle idea. It's a shame she is dead.

>>2440251
>'She didn't listen to me...'
Huh?
>>
Oh. I got up to date after you guys finished. That's fine. Anyone still around want to talk about Gantz stuff?
>>
>>2441531
>Huh?
Erik told Maria to go away because he was hungry for points but she didn't and she saved him.
>>
>>2441540
Uh, can you refresh my memory of of how the scene went down?

For better or worst, here is my list of ideas I wanted to share since I started reading from the first thread:

>Buy gas mask. Who knows when we might fight more air borne threats (options to only cover mouth or entire face?)
>Buy Emergency Kits. Though, I think the suits help with staunching blood loss?
>Acquire drugs like morphine and adrenaline. Actually make not. You could get addicted, unless the, 'you return from every hunt as you were nullified addiction.
>Clean appartment some more? Maybe there is stuff that can be packed away so moving day goes more smoothly? After the hunt that is.
>"If Dante gets kicked out, should we offer to be roommates?" Old idea, but not all too viable now that we're close to resurrecting Chris and Erick is sharing the appartment with GF.
>idle thought: does Chris have any medical history? Any disorders? Autism? ADHD? Something to ask Dante afterwards for trying to make Chris more cooperative?
>Buy lots of Frozen fruits, fresh fruits and veggies, protein (whey) powder, meat, multi-vitamins. Healthy food. I figured the slightest edge could help?
>Do you keep your points if you're resurrected? Like, if you had 99 points, you die, someone brings you back to life. Do you still get to keep your points?
>Work injury compensation for the box think hitting Erick. A little late but wanted to mention it.
>Befriend Ulrich and learn about what he does forca living and why he's so busy? Dont want to commit until his baby girl is out of the game.
>......
>...where is she anyways? Is she still protecting Allie and med school guy?
>Make a memo / power point / lecture or something for new people that can fit in the sma span of time we get before being teleported to Gantz and getting geared up, make sure to always update it. It should consist of: weapon types, handling, abilities. Suit capabilities. Rules of no sharing info of Gantz, the points system, upgrades. History on alien encounters and learning from mistakes. Managing everyone's free time, potentially splitting training days into two or more separate groups so less conflicting schedules.
>Make sure our sensei doesn't read our mind or else she might get sucked into Gantz. (What was her real and fake name again?)
>Teach Paula and Dante mind powers after the hunt is over? Has anyone considered the possibility of using the powers during the hunt? I'm surprised no one brought it up after our outstanding session of barriers, kenesis and the like. And I'm glad I brought it up because it's gonna be really handy (bazinga) since one of Erick's arm is out of commission. Hopefully he can still use the heavy Y-gun eith the suits power.
>Metal Gear Revengance tier training? Mind power bullet stop/deflection like in the manga, using suit to run up or down buildings, sparring. Actually, those partially probably falls under the psychic powers, while the rest can go to the suit?
>Pastebin for all skill levels? (beginner, intermediate, skilled, etc.)
>group sparring and self defense classes?
>>
>>2441544
Oh yes, the one with the cane and ice powers. Has anyone considered keeping their weapons, or perhaps using them in the boss fight?

Idea I forgot to include:

>Using the Gantz gathering room for storage purposes. What if we just left stuff inside we might need for the next hunt? Examples: first aid kits, gas masks. I can't think of anything else. Probably just those two things. Maybe not even the first aid kits since for the most part the suits can keep you alive even if you lose all your limbs and the timer reaches two hours.
>>
>>2441094
Oh god...and we're only halfway through it as well...

>>2441540
>>2441542
>>2441582

Well, Erick sounds like he just wanted Carol out of there and took the initiative to attack the alien. Considering that Erick just raised his trust with Maria, she probably wanted to help you the same way Erick saved her and Claire.

>>2441582
Yeah, that doesn't sound like a bad idea actually. I don't remember there being a rule to Gantz wiping the room or anything besides just bodies.
>>
>>2441745
What about my other ideas? Do you think they might hold so feezable use?
>>
>>2441807
All of them sound fine enough, but except for maybe teaching Paula and Dante mind powers. I don't think you can actually teach people that, unless they show legit aptitude or are born with the power.

The other two things you brought up

>Do you keep your points if you're resurrected?

and

>Pastebin for all skill levels?

For the first one, I remember when Kurono got resurrected his points were brought back with him. I guess Gantz plays up that video game angle by giving everyone a checkpoint upon their death. It's the little mercies that ball gives people, I guess.

As for the other one, I think the QM is keeping skills or techs we haven't unlocked yet as unknowns until we actually learn them or know about them.
>>
>>2441822
That's understandable. I was hoping for a pastebin for us the players to know what skills we do know and have.

What did you think about gas masks? Do you think Gantz might have some kind of helmet to go along with the suit? Should we bring out own?
>>
>>2441930
We do have a pastebin though, it's just the fact that we haven't unlocked everything there.

As for the gas masks and helmets, unless the QM is thinking about having more OC weapons and kit, then maybe it'll be a good idea to get some. Though, from my understanding of the suits, only we are protected from physical harm, so anything we put on our heads may have a chance of getting broken or snatched.
>>
>>2441573
>Buy gas mask. Who knows when we might fight more air borne threats (options to only cover mouth or entire face?)
Those were the mushroom people.

>Buy Emergency Kits. Though, I think the suits help with staunching blood loss?
>Acquire drugs like morphine and adrenaline. Actually make not. You could get addicted, unless the, 'you return from every hunt as you were nullified addiction.

Hopefully as a medical student Tanjee can some of those stuff.
>>
>>2441573
>Befriend Ulrich and learn about what he does forca living and why he's so busy?

Obviously Ulrich is a Professional
>>
>>2442472
But what if we encounter something or a scenario like them in the future? Would buying Gas Mask be a worthy investment, or a waste?
>>
>>2442548
I would say it's a waste
>>
>>2442638
>>2441822
>>2441573

Keep planning anons, I like it when my players try to stay one step ahead.

Just remember though, you still have to survive this one.
>>
>>2442638
If only.
Well damn. I will admit there are only a hand full of scenarios where me might need a mask, such as traveling through spore clouds or breathing though clouds of dust. A filter can't do anything against the smoke in a burning building and would require an air tank, which would be dead weight.

At least the half masks are relatively cheap?
>>
>>2442765
There's also the full face respirators, but those are pricy.

So what's the plan of attack for the next thread?
>>
>>2442719
Now that Erick is a Floor Mangager, does his new position give him any employee discounts to Walmart products?
>>
>>2442768
>>2442765
Nah we should focus in killing these angels and hopefully telegrafing their weapons to whoever the laser sends then to will give us new loot.

I'm really hoping for some sweet sword.
>>
>>2442952
The top view makes it look like a fleshlight.
>>
>>2442952
Well of course we're going to kill the angels. I mean buying the filters afterwards.
>>
>>2442969
You know, given all of the other phallic imagery in this series, it honestly doesn't surprise me if Oku did this intentionally.
>>
What do you guys think about performing mock battles after this hunt is over? Many we can convince Gantz (and by that I mean poking him in the ear) to make some kind of high tech training weapon that can bypass the Gantz suits without damaging them, but delivers a minor shocking sensation?

Full on mock battles after every other training session or two. Teams of two or three, free for all, etc.
>>
>>2444421
Gantz's response:
>"training battles"
>lol train yourselves morons
>>
>>2444421
Nigga, are you listening to yourself?
>>
>>2444421
Ear pokes just convince Gantz to do something that takes no effort and only a few seconds. Developing new weapons is something it might not even be capable of.
>>
>>2444695
Oh course not. It's was late and I was tired.

>>2444728
Fuck if I know.
>>
We as a group should ask everyone to wear a jacket with zipper or button pockets for additional misc items: (smart phone, watch, camera, Go-Pro)

Do the scanner devices have a clock feature? If not Erick should bring a phone or a watch with him so we know how much time has past before the hunt reaches the two hour mark.

Did Ericks' Gantz suit 'break' after his hand was destroyed, or is it still functional? I'm thinking it might be the former since Dante's suit was gooped after Carol shot him. If it is unfortunately the former than we should probably ask someone to aim the Heavy Y-gun at the pinned 'angel' or use the Telekinesis power thing to use the gun(?)

So the Sword and Spear wielders are dead, the one with the Shepard staff is getting shot to hell, and the gusty one with the thorned rose is pinned by a barrage of netting from the heavy Y-gun (should probably scan that one as soon as possible). Did I get that all right?

Question to Bolivar if you're still lurking here: what is Ericks' physical condition? Is he fit or still out of shape?
>>
>>2447969
>Do the scanner devices have a clock feature?

Yes they do. I believe in the second hunt Dante showed that feature to us.

>Did Ericks' Gantz suit 'break' after his hand was destroyed, or is it still functional?

There was no goop description and the suit has proven to be inefective against cutting or piercing damage before.

>So the Sword and Spear wielders are dead, the one with the Shepard staff is getting shot to hell, and the gusty one with the thorned rose is pinned by a barrage of netting from the heavy Y-gun (should probably scan that one as soon as possible). Did I get that all right?

Yup got in one. Just that at some time we seem to have lost our Y-rufle probably dropped in the middle of our jump to go help the girls. Fortunantly we still have our X-gun. We could also use our Telekinesis to throw shit at the alien or to at least give us a opening to fuck it up.
>>
>>2448010
To add to my post above. I believe the suit would have only turbed goop in the useless part so only our arm with the lost hand should be deactivated.
>>
>>2447969
He's gotten somewhat fit as a result you guys' decisions to take on physical training. He started average, but not out shape with only his legs being somewhat good. If you want his physical status, I posted his stats in the character pastebin.

In terms of speaking, he can bench 130 lbs (STR +2), has a starting pack for abs (DEF +1), and can run a mile in under 10 min (MOV +2).

If this sounds vague, then you're in the right quest.
>>
>>2448405
Sounds pretty good. Need to work on those abs though.
