<You are Erick Vanders, assistant manager at WalMart Supercenter in Washington DC. Or so you were, until an untimely death saw the end of your normal life. Now, you find yourself trapped, along with several others, in an unforgiving death game orchestrated by an enigmatic black sphere known only as Gantz. Its rules are simple: hunt and kill monsters, aliens, from other worlds before the time limit, or be killed by them. With the promise of a way out, and Gantz's technologically advanced arsenal as your driving force, can you live through the agony of life after death? Or will your mind and body break like the hundreds of others that lived before you?>

The Y-Launcher's laser fades as the last portions of the alien are absorbed into the gun's storage system. As the gun's barrels retract, you look at its digital screen to see there's only 28% of its memory storage remaining. For all of the benefits this gun carried, you figured there had to be a drawback of some sort.

You turned your head away from the now loose string of wires and netting to look at the orange stained faces of your teammates below. The staff alien's body was now several pulverized stains of orange and stone plaster strewn along the wall of the cathedral. Carol remained unconscious on Maria's shoulder, and Silvia was giving her sister a slight hug at reuniting. They all looked somewhat tired and weary, but their eyes lit up as they saw you. All of them except Paula and Dante.

"Erick!", Paula shouted up to you, "Get down here and get ready to listen close. We don't have much time!"

You nod your head and move to the buttresses to make your way down. With the loss of your hand, the climb down is a little more difficult, though you're more than happy that at least your suit is still working. Upon reaching the bottom, Paula and Dante move to your side while Maria leaves Carol to Silvia and Claire. As they're about to start speaking however, you and the others hear the sounds of running footsteps and shouting from the path leading to the cathedral.

"Damnit, we really don't have much time here," Paula states, looking back at the people either running out to the cathedral grounds, "Alright, here's the short version. We found the boss alien in the cathedral, and it seems to be preparing for something."

"What?" Maria replies, looking confused, "What do you mean preparing for something? Is it setting up like a barricade or-"

"We don't...know what it's doing actually," Dante interrupts, "It just reaches up into the air, presses its fingers against something that isn't there, and then turns back around. For all we know, he could be setting a self-destruct device to take us all with it."

"That's from Predator," Paula says, rolling her eyes and then shaking her head back to topic, "Either way, it started going about it faster after that other alien crashed into the tower. Sure as hell made everyone inside jumpy."

"So...what do we do then?" Maria asks the group, "If it's just standing there, we can probably just take it out, right?"

'Yeah...but...how to go about it?'

More weapons are always welcomed.

Did you guys get a good look at it? Did it look like it base anything that could have been considered a weapon?

So...if we are to sneak attack this thing, I think the best bet is to stick with the using the X-Rifles on max charge before the initial surprise volly, the heavy Y-gun aimed at the feet and legs, and the punch gloves to...punch. no clue on their range yet.

If it's relatively safe to move closer (assuming it's a slow bastard from size) we can send a team of dual x-gun wields to pepper the legs.

So for those who has seen it. An ideas of their own?

Check to time to see how much we have left.

"You guys still have the element of surprise," you state, and the look towards the farthest door, "You three are going to have to sneak in, and shoot him down. We'll take the side door, and blindside him with more fire once you guys attack."

"Sounds reasonable enough, but" Paula replies, her voice becoming worried, "the only point of entry for you is going to be near the cloister. Unless you guys are packing rifles, the range won't be enough on your guns."

"We'll just have to move fast the moment you guys attack then," Maria says, before screaming coming from the front end of the Cathedral begins to emerge, "Gonna ignore that..."

"Let's get moving," you state, and then take a look towards Carol and Claire, "Get yourselves to safety, I'm not having anyone else die on our watch. Everyone else, let's go."

<>

The flow of people coming from the Cathedral has begun to slow, as it seems nearly everyone inside is either on the outer steps or on the main road. Whether they're waiting for something to occur or running for their cars, you and Maria don't waste any time in heading to the interior. The cathedral itself is enormous, much bigger than what you had imagined even after standing on top of it.

You both take key positions behind some of the pillars near the main entrance, each eyeing the front end of the cathedral for any motion of movement. Before your eyes zero in on the orange shape near the back of the cathedral, a familiar voice breaks up behind you.

"Erick!" you almost jump, as you hear Allie's voice come up behind you, "I convinced Tanjeet to let me back in, now-"

You quickly grab Allie by the head, cover her mouth and pull her towards your pillar. You hope that the alien didn't notice the voice. Maria's just staring at her with some contempt, but then shift her gaze to the front to report no movement.

"You almost blew our cover dammit," you hiss at her, to which she responds with an apologetic gaze, "look, just...follow our lead. At least you got a gun, so...wait, is that mine?"

"Yeah, you dropped it in the room when you went to get that bigger gun," she replies in a whisper, "Almost lost it when I got electrocuted, but Tanjeet gave it back. He showed me how to use it, so I can help with that thing if you need it."

While you raise an eyebrow to the strange circumstance, it seems this might prove useful to your advantage. You nod your head in reply, and then tell her to position herself, near the front of the pillar, just out of sight. Allie makes sure to only peek out to get a clear view of the target, but not before you also get a clear view on the scope.

In spite of the hazy, digital image from the X-Rifle's scope, the shape before you is most certainly one of the aliens. It is orange, and vaguely humanoid, yet it is not encased in a statue-like shell like the others. That being said, it retains that similar angel aspect as the others, with a set of wings and almost serene shape. What's more, it seems much more fit than the others with a tall, lean body that seems to surge slightly with odd bulge of...worm-like musculature.

"Don't shoot until the others are close," you whisper to Allie, and she nods in reply, "We'll swerve through the priory and blindside it while it is distracted by the others. Just be ready to shoot, and don't miss."

Allie nods again as you complete your instructions. Not a few moments after this, you spot several flashes of blue light coming from the front, along with the sound of the guns firing. The alien cranes its head to see where the shots came from, and frantically starts doing its strange motions. It is then, that another strange flash lights up the cathedral.

The shots that should have connected to the alien, converge on...a wall, an invisible wall not a few feet away from the alien. The section of wall however shatters, flickering blue and then white, before the sound of glass emanates from the front. There's a few more shots made at the alien, but the alien swiftly dodges them with what you can only describe as a cat-like reflexes. Maria and Allie look as if they're about to shoot on their own, before a strange noise begins to rise from the back of the cathedral.

It's so familiar, like that of the statues, but...smaller and much, much more in quantity.

You quickly tap Maria on the shoulder and start moving with great speed towards the back of the cathedral. As you almost leap out of the pillar, Maria takes your lead making a straight run towards the back end. The suit enhances your legs and remaining arm to make up for the loss of balance and pain as you make your way forward. As you move further away from your original position, you hear the faint sounds of Allie's X-Rifle shooting towards the alien. \

Maria doesn't lag behind, as you both make a straight run down the middle of the cathedral aisle. The pillars and pews almost blurry in your vision as you both speed towards the alien's position. It doesn't stop making its strange motion in its area, perhaps even getting faster as you're approaching it. All the while, the others don't let up their barrage as you see another invisible wall shatter much closer to the alien.

You're now a few meters away from the alien, and see that the strange flapping of stone wings is coming right above it. As you and Maria clear the praying pews, a swarm of small angelic statues now swarm above the alien. Their bodies glistening with marble and ivory, and some of them carry similar stone swords and spears like the previous aliens.

Instead of converging on you however, their swarm flies towards the side pillars. Towards the others.

'NO! There's no time!'

"Take the swarm," you shout to Maria, and increase your speed, "I've got the leader!"

Maria nods in reply, and banks left towards the others. The last you see of her, is a running jump from one of the last pews as she takes a running leap toward the aliens. Your focus is right on the leader however, and it is positively panicking as it frenetically tries to...do whatever the hell it is doing. You don't pay it much attention however, as you take a running leap towards it.

There's a few more explosions right in front of you, as what you guess is the final wall between the alien and you are finally shattered by Allie. The shattering of glass falls to the floor, and the alien now turns its long, orange head towards you. You're still in the air, as your eyes narrow in on its body.

'Just you and me, asshole.'

'It's not like it's a damn secret anymore,' you think as you descend on the alien and start to focus your mind. The world slows around you, and you swear that even your descend slows to meet your perceptions. There's a surge of power, of pure mental energy coursing through your palm and head as you make your way to alien.

It has no eyes, but you swear that fear is lining against its body as it twists back away from you. The inner sanctum of the cathedral, the choral chairs and steps are silent to its possible plea of mercy that may not come. You wouldn't have listened to it either way.

With your new training, something of its size shouldn't be too hard to grasp. But that is not your intention, as you begin to focus your power inwardly, and generate your newest power. Stheno said that a force field can be used to remove enemies from your general area. So...it wouldn't be too far off to use it to push this alien against its own wall, until it turns into an orange stain.

Right?

As your focus shifts inward, you mind gains that familiar feeling of a cold swirling cloud. You've designated this as breathing in, readying the powerful repulsion of mental energy to come. Then, that focus expands from your head, the swirling cloud turning into a small hurricane in your mind. You open your eyes wide, and you feel a slight bit of blood drip from your right nostril as a wave of mental force expands outwards from you.

The alien's proximity to you causes it to be almost rendered prone as your force field hits it like a brick wall towards the back of its invisible wall. Maria had been surprisingly right, it had surrounded itself with a defensive measure. But now, you were about to turn it against it as you landed and began to take heavy steps towards the alien. While it managed to get up effectively, it was struggling to just stand up, much less hold back your power.

With each step, you pushed it back further, and further towards its walls until you saw that its body began to press against the first of its walls. It was pinned, and scrambling with its long arms and appendages to try and reach for something nearby, something you didn't see. It wouldn't matter to you, as you kept taking heavy steps forwards towards its, as more and more of those orange worms began to leak out of its body.

Even if this was physically powerful, you figure that even it wouldn't be able to hold you back. Then, you hear a crunch, as part of the alien's body is broken against the wall, and it lets out a sharp screech into the Cathedral. It makes you wince with how strong and sharp it was, but you don't let up on your attack. It is not until you hear that familiar flapping of several stone wings that you turn your focus for just one moment.

You see the swarm of angels, diminished, but still large, descend on you. Your force field manages to hold most of them off, but you spots few mimicking the motions of the alien leader on that invisible object. Then, you hear a slight ring, as the back wall holding the alien shatters on its own, along with the two remaining ones behind it. The alien falls to the floor, and leaking a bit of orange as it crawls away from you. The strain of sustaining the field against this many enteties, as well as the shift in focus, eventually causes it to collapse.

While you're not drained from it, the field fades.

'Shit...' you think, as you spot the leader limping away, as well as the remaining swarm now poised around you.

'If I let it go now,' you think, and begin to see the bloodstains on some of the aliens' weapons, 'there's no telling what it's going to do. I have to end this now.'

With the specter of worry for your friends looming with that slightly bloody sight, you shake yourself normal. Your mind is made up, and you decide to go after the leader. Before your head turns however, a few of the smaller angel aliens explode into showers of orange and white stone. Whether that was Allie or one of the others, the aliens don't look for the shooter or even flinch. All of them are poised on you, and they begin to descend with breakneck speed.

There's a surge of speed in your legs as you turn towards the leader, and pray to god that your team is able to provide covering fire. With the enhanced power of the suit, you ready your Y-Launcher, straight at the alien leader.

Some of the angels manage to get a few hits and slashes in, but nothing slows you down as you make your way from them towards the boss alien. It didn't even manage to get that far from you, as its limp only brought it to the footsteps of the massive stone altar.

Your aim is true as you wrap the Y-Launcher's massive net around the leader as it reaches out for the altar. Before the massive white, stone of the altar, and the new empty bastions of the alien angels, you depress the launcher's buttons again. The swarm is right behind you, but the launcher's barrels expand and the laser begins to telefrag the alien leader.

You don't stand still however, as the swarm closes in almost immediately and you try to swerve around, but keeping the laser guided right on the boss alien. The semi circular pattern wards off a bit of the hits, but you're still getting pecked at as you try to keep your focus on the leader. At this point however, you hear the shouts of Paula and Dante, running guns blazing or fists blazing at the swarm as they take down the remains of the swarm. You don't see Maria or Silvia, but the reinforcements here should be more than enough to hold them off.

While the swarm diminishes, you begin to see a few of the small angels begin to dig into the nets with their weapons. You motion to Dante and Paula to shot those, but a loud whirring sound on your gun causes the laser to seize. You bring it close to see what's wrong, until you see in bright red letters <100% Capacity>. You don't have much time to react when the gun springs apart, and a steel canister jumps out of the weapon.

You try to hold onto it, but the weapon shuts down uselessly on the floor and you then see the alien leader begin to rise. Whether it was the swarm or the weapon shutting down, the alien leader stands and moves towards the altar with its remaining strength. The laser got up to its shoulder blades before it stopped.

Dante and Paula notice this immediately, and start shooting at the alien leader, but the swarm intercepts their X-Rifle and Gauntlet shots like a human shield. It is then, that through the swarm, you spot the alien's finger reaching for the central statue in the altar.

'Physical attacks will probably hurt me more,' you think, as you extend your hand, 'And shooting is useless with those things in the way. I need...to focus...'

Paula and Dante keep their assault on the swarm, but even as their hundred turns to a few dozen, they continue to guard the leader to the bitter end. It is then that you finally eye them both. Dante's body is covered in small spears and marks of fresh blood that seem to be splattering parts of his suit, part of his shoulder is slashed open as well. Paula's face has a horrible slash across her left eye, and judging by the blood in it, she's probably blind with it now. But that's nothing compared to her side, as mean set of cuts reveal several of her ribs sticking out, parts the suit and skin peeling off with trauma.

A looming cloud of anger surges in your mind, like a hungry predator ready to pounce and eviscerate its prey. That feeling of anger and killing intent forms in you as you try to push this alien back and way from that altar. Its long, slender arm reaches out for the hand of christ, like a perverted image of the Sistine Chapel. That surge of raw energy coalescenes, and you reach out to the alien leader.

'It's now or never...'

Rolled 18 + 2 (1d20 + 2)

You feel another drop of blood fall from your nose as your mental strength builds to unleash a torrent of psychic force right at the alien leader. With your extended hand, you will a force the equivalent of a moving car right at the alien. With what you can only describe as speeding collision, several of the smaller aliens are forced towards the far right part of the altar, as their bodies impact wall of the cathedral with enough force splatter them on the fine stone.

The leader's body falls limply across the wall, its legs and arms broken and leaking their precious orange fluid onto the floor of the cathedral. It doesn't even manage a twitch as it brought low by your powers. The rest of the swarm are similarly brought down or fall stiff upon the leader's untimely collision. Soon enough, the altar and the steps towards it are caked in the aliens' fluid and the remains of their bodies.

The sheer strain of maintaining that amount of force brings you to your knees, as the exertion of the last two psychic actions finally come back to hit you. You reel on the ground, but not before Paula's arm goes to catch you. You can hear the pain in her voice as she lifts you up.

"Erick...holy fuck," she states, lifting you up, and is then helped by Dante, "What was that...thing you did? Since...when can you do that?"

"Long story," you reply, your mind growing hazy, "Almost died, and then I woke up as a spoonbender. Who would have thought?"

Both of them chuckle at the remark, with Dante shifting the weight on your arm to look at his radar. His face lets out a sigh of relief, and Paula's own reassures you that the night is almost over.

"No more signatures," Dante states, showing you both the radar without any bleeps, "I think whatever Erick did to the boss managed to stop it for good. You sure there aren't anymore of those big statues?"

"Positive," Paula replies, "The brochure called for four of those thing-...Oh shit, Maria..."

Paula almost runs from your side, before she realizes who she's standing with. She embarrassingly holds you up, but you don't take offense to her concern.

"Paula, check back with Maria and Silvia," you state, trying to find your footing as you pull away from Paula and Dante, "Dante, go check on the others. They should be at the church house near the road."

"Wait, Erick, you're hurt too," Paula says, looking back at you and then reeling in pain a little, "I think you need to-"

"I'm fine, just... a little groggy," you reply back, taking a few steps away, "I need to see what's in that canister before we get teleported back. I get a feeling it's going to be important."

Paula looks down, but understandingly. Dante puts a hand on your shoulder and actually cracks a smile.

"Thank you man, you got us there," he says, before turning around towards the door, "Do what you need to do man. We're in the clear already!"

He speeds off to the front door, while Paula heads toward the left wing entrance and towards the girls. You don't see them off as you make your way towards the left side of the altar where the canister lays unmoving. You pick it up and notice that it is surprisingly light in weight even with just one hand. You scan the side of it and see that there are several slots for tubes and wiring that seem to be like earphone jacks.

'They're all in here?' you wonder to yourself, as you shake the can a little, 'that pistol takes them somewhere else with its laser, but this keeps them in a storage. What's its deal, honestly?'

As you wonder this, you notice out of the corner of your eye. It was sporadic, almost like the flutter of a butterfly's wing. Your vision was too fast to catch exactly where it came from, but...it should be somewhere around here...

'One of those bastards is playing dead,' you think, as you bring out Paula's X-Gun from the holster, placing the canister down, 'Let's see just how clever you are.'

You turn your head towards the altar's left most wing, and see that while it is mostly pristine white, bits of the alien's orange fluid still coat it. Like you imagined however, all of the little slots for the angels are open and missing their statues. You take a few steps towards the front of the altar.

The sitting figure of Jesus Christ greets your gaze, or at least partially as a coat of orange covers part of its body. You also noticed there are six larger slots around him, which you guess were some of the aliens with the weapons. Still...no statue there, or in any of the central slots.

You take a few more steps forward, moving past the pile of angel corpses and see the broken body of their leader. Like Dante mentioned, it is dead, or at least not moving at all. Though, considering the amount of punishment it too from you and the others, it probably wasn't very durable compared to its scarier compatriots. Still though, in spite of the gory sight, there doesn't seem to be any sort of living alien there.

Just when you turn back around, you catch a glimpse of something flying over your head. It looks like a ball with a cross on top of it, and it lands right over into the corpse of the alien leader. You turn to look at it, when a sharp pain in your back hits you like a deep splinter. You turn around to see a small alien angel with its arm extended at you.

Wasting no more time, you take Paula's X-Gun and shoot it down. The alien puts up no resistance and it simply explodes into more orange fluid. You go to pull out that thing it threw at you, when your gaze lands on the strange orb it threw at the alien leader. It starts glowing orange, and before you can react, it expands in a surge of orange and yellow energy. As it does, you feel a tingling sensation in your arms as you look onwards.

Let´s put up a basic forcefield around it in order to contain it so if ti explodes it doesn´t fuck up much and give it some good old lasers to the face to ensure it stays dead.

The tingling sensation in your arm is growing stronger, and it feels almost as if it is being hit bit small jolts of electricity. You don't pay it too much mind, as you try to zero in on the small orb. At your range, it should be easy to hit, but that sensation on your arm grows stronger as you try to figure out what's going on. All the while, you start seeing portions of the alien's orange fluid begin to dissolve around the walls and the altar. You see it start pooling, or guiding itself towards the orb, or rather the alien itself.

'I need to stop this thing...'

>Roll1d20 +3 INT - 1 from Wearyness
>>
>>2453777
Because the Qm didn't gave the option to do both meaning we can only pick one option before any effect the orb does start. If we use psy we will be target of a healed alien and our psy isn't strong enough to containg blast.

The safest bet is shoot it, use the three seconds that the shot takes ro detonate go for cover and hope the upgraded suit can take the resulting explosion.

The feeling in your arm is starting to get painful now, but you release your shot regardless. While the pain and part of the weariness is beginning to wear you down, you manage to release the shot on target. The shot hits the glowing orb and detonates a massive chunk out of the stone. In spite of it hitting, the orb's energy begins to swirl.

The feeling your arm is getting too painful now, as you can feel like your skin is starting to bubble. It is a horrific stinging feeling, like acid being drenched on your arm. You quickly pull out of the energy's range and start to see the device start to spark with what you can only guess is internal combustion. You let loose a couple more shots on it, but something begins to repel the shots away. Seeing that this is going to be ineffective, you take several steps away from this thing.

"Everyone! Help!" you shout, backing away from the glowing mass of energy, "Stay behind me, something fucked up is happening with this thing!"

You hear the steps of Paula and Maria approaching, each one of them at your side and training their guns on the mass of glowing energy now contracting inwards. It is a spectacle like none of you have seen, and the light around the orb begins to glow bright. It soon glows so bright that you all can no longer stare into it. You and the girls move behind the large choir stands, and look onwards to what emerges from the glowing orb.

All of your eyes open to see that not only has the pile of corpses dissapeared, but so has all of the orange liquid on the walls and on the altar as well. From your position, you don't even see the stone or marble of the angel statues. You come out of the side of the seats to peer closer into the lonely space between the altar and the sanctuary. From the corner of your eye however, you see a portion of its body, like a fleshy butterfly's wing.

The other girls look on with you, at the mess of what you can only describe as melded flesh, mortar and those orange worms. The creature moves with an undulating gait, seemingly blind as its sinewy wings take it lazily from one side of the altar to the next. Its form is no longer humanoid, now wholly alien and revolting as pieces of itself seem to be trying to escape it. Its four appendages each reach out towards every space near it, almost as if it was tasting everything with them.

"Holy shit...", Maria whispers, panting slightly, "What the hell do we have to do to kill this thing?"

"We won't know until we try," Paula says under her breath, readying her gauntlets, "You want to do the honors Erick?"

You go to say something, before a sharp explosion seems to almost bounce off of the creature's form. Its fleshy body recieves no damage, as if the explosion had been blocked or had slid away or something. The creature however, does notice the shot however, and begins moving in the direction of whence it originated. Without wasting any time, you and girls proceed to...

>>
>>2455382
Really bad.
>>
>>2455390
>Is Erick working out his abilities like a muscle? (is he getting stronger)

No in fact we are abusing way to much of our psi powers. If we keep like that we will leave less time then Cherry's sensei.
>>
>>2455699
what do you mean?
>>
>>2455724
Psychic powers take an immense toll on the human body. It causes your internal organs to age faster.

>>2455699
That said, the more you use your powers the stronger they get.
>>
>>2455724
Abusing Psy power are bad for humans it decrease their lifepan

>>2455758
And having said that i think we can always get cloned from gantz although i don't know if the ball restores your body condition to be like it was before we entered the game or just how it was before we died.
>>
>>2455770
maybe theres some Psychic powers or gantz goods that can help with that?
>>
>>2455770
Cherry's master had been using his powers for years before he joined the game. I think it's the state from which you enter the game.

>>2455783
Biokinesis was never shown to be a power in canon, but I feel Erick is a big enough nerd to come up with the idea.
>>
>>2455783
Not in the manga unless QM is taking some liberties.Maybe the teleportarion could help.

>>2455793
Could be if it's a way to prevent death. But you would think that each time we are transported gantz would heal the aged organs. So my believe is that so long we don't abuse our power to much out of the game we may be fine.

Because think like this if each time Gantz teleports you we get restored to the condition prior the game then we could safely use our powers and get better at it. Of course that is assuming gantz heals us from the psy damage.
>>
>>2454171
>>2454157
>>2454120
>Hide, and let it pass, then shoot it

3 votes for this. Writing.

OOC: Also, sorry for the delay guys. I was fixing a leak.
>>
>>2455820
I think Gantz restores you to the condition you were in when you join that instance of the game. Because we still build up muscle mass and stuff outside the game.
>>
>>2455878
Well the problem is that the psy don't cause damage they just make our organs get old and that isn't exactly damage. So gantz could easily not restore it then.

Anyway point is not abuse psy powers unless we discover biokinesis.

"Hide, now," you say under your breath, and motion the others towards the choir seats. You and the girls quickly slip through the door, and just as quickly duck behind the wooden handrails. Your backs are against the wall of the seats as a few more shots ring out beyond the sanctuary. There is a guttural, almost questioning sound coming from the direction of the shot's explosions. The sound gets closer as the does the lazy flapping of fleshy wings.

The creature's movements are many things but fast, yet it doesn't seem to even remotely flinch at the barrage Allie seems to be giving it. As it begins passing right by the seats you and the girls are taking shelter behind, you notice a orange and velvet tentacle reach out towards the seats, almost as if it was testing it. Its blue and orange tip is the consistency of an elephant's foot with the undulations of a squid's forearm.

Thankfully, besides just startling Maria, the tentacle only manages to catch the seat's wooden finish, before slinking back to its owner. Even though, it does leave an orange slimy trail right where it landed. As the alien continues moving forward, it finally clears the choir chairs and moves closer towards the preacher's podium.

"NOW!", you shout to the girls, and you all ready your guns in unison.

Rolled 16 + 5 (1d20 + 5)

The barrage from you and the girls is swift and powerful as you let out the call to attack. Maria's dual salvo of X-Guns and Paula's relentless barrage of invisible strikes from her gloves out gun your own single X-Gun. However, you're not aiming to damage here but instead looking for a weak point on the alien itself. While you do fire alongside them, you do see that even now the shots from your weapons are doing nothing to it.

All of the explosions and shots hitting it either dissapear or seem to slide off of its slender body. You also notice something else, a faint glow that seems to be emanating from the alien's appendages as more shots keep hitting it. With the amount of shots seemingly hitting it, the alien actually cranes its slender neck back at your group and almost twists its head on its side. You see the hollow sockets where eyes should be, and narrow slits running along where a mouth would shout back. The girls don't let up, even as the alien's massive frame turns around and you hear another guttural below from its invisible throat.

That faint glow on its body suddenly begins to palpate through its skin, as if the light itself is trying to escape violently from its body. Through the din of the explosions and the shouts of the girls, the alien's arms and legs begin to coalescence near its head, and the glowing begins to drain from its body. The lights seethe down the fleshy, orange tentacles and converge on the tips. You've played enough video games to know what happens next.

"Oh shit...", you say, and tapping both of the girls on the shoulders, "WE'VE GOT TO MOVE!"

They turn their heads to you, before you pull Paula to side and Maria jumps towards there as well. In the split second of evasion, the alien unleashes a loud, and powerful beam of invisible energy towards the back of the cathedral. You can feel the intensity as it rocks the cathedral itself form with aftershocks and strikes the back of the cathedral like an giant pile-driver. The explosion almost shatters the whole back wall but more than certainly rips the altar apart.

The intense blast of energy ends as soon as it happens, as you look up to see that the alien's glowing body has now gone slack to its regular color again. The intense energy now gone, but its focus remains trapped on you and the girls. Its head cranes itself towards your group as if looking for something from you all, and begins to lumber closer with its fleshy wings.

The girls are quick to get up right as the alien begins to move closer. As they get up, you notice that its tentacles are moving towards its sides, imitating what you could only guess is a grabbing stance as it moves closer. You and the girls begin to take several steps back as you all keep your guns on it, but no one fires anymore.

"We're not even hurting it...", Paula asks, remaining in a boxing stance as she backs away with you and Maria, "Shit...Erick, you got any ideas...?"

"I don't know..." you reply back, somewhat taken aback by its strange ability, "If we shoot it...it'll just reflect everything back at us again with interest...I..."

'NO!' you chastise yourself in your head, 'There's gotta be some way, damnit!'

The alien's tentacles move in an undulating pattern as you and the girls continue to back way. The methodical rhythm of your movements almost match the alien's own slow floating motion as you each trace the other. Maria's head turns back and then to you as she nudges your shoulder to her attention.

"There's two doors in the back," she speaks in a hiss, "we can try to escape through there. We're running out of room here."

"Fat chance," Paula replies, "We'll run right into the bell tower, all churches have one near the main altars for mass. Also, it's gonna come down on us given the amount of damage that things done to it."

As she finishes her sentence, a floating tentacle moves towards you all. Maria instinctively shoots it on reaction, and the shot is absorbed. A faint glow appears on the alien, but it doesn't seem to do much else besides continue to fly lazily towards you all.

"I got an idea, but you guys are welcome to say no," you state, and they both turn their heads back to you, "Someone's gonna have to stay behind and while the other two are going to have to make a break towards the front. If this thing is absorbing our weapons, then it's possible a direct physical strike could hurt it."

"That's suicidal Erick!" Maria shouts, but Paula just looks cautiously at you, "Silvia's too hurt to move right now, if you drop the cathedral on her-"

"Then someone's gonna have to get her out as well," Paula states, as she dodges a tentacle, "But we're gonna have to decide right now..."

Although i think Paula would be the better option to go get Silvua since she is a police woman and she probably know how to move a badly injured person. Also Maria has the guns to hit the collums.

"I'll stay behind," you state and Paula immediately goes to protest, before you shout back, "NO ARGUMENTS! I'm not about to let this thing kill us, and I am not going to let either of you kill yourselves over a plan of my own."

"Now, on my mark, make for opposite sides of the choir seats and run," you continue, "Paula, get Silvia and Maria can go after the pillars. Also, if you find Allie or the others, let them know to bring down the whole cathedral. Do not wait for me..."

The girls share an equal face of concern, with Paula's own twisting in fear for you. You know she would gladly take your place, but at the same time she is conflict in knowing that you probably stand the highest chance of surviving out of the three of you. The nod and the three of you finally realize that you're almost to the altar's steps as the alien's movement has brought you there.

'This damn arm...' you think, and move your left stump slightly, 'There's gotta be more than just the one gun to distract this bastard with...'

As the alien's tentacles move forward a bit more, you spot the many different swords and spears from the other aliens. They are small, but sharp enough to hurt if they are used effectively. This could work to your advantage, even without your other arm. Your psychic powers have been tapped extensively, but throwing the weapons at the alien shouldn't be too much of an issue. As the alien moves ever closer, you tense your body, and let out a heavy breath.

"GO!"

The girls bolt to opposite sides, each moving quick and nimbly towards the choir seats, with the alien's head trailing them both in quick succession. Its tentacles move to the opposite ends to intercept, but you're on its case at the first instance of movement. Two swords fly out of the pile of angel corpses and impale the tentacles in mid flight. The accuracy to their destination is a bulls-eye, as they cause the alien to flinch in pain as it pulls the appendages to its body.

The alien's head now centers on you. You're maimed, worn down, and there's a hazy cloud inside of your head, but you don't that stop you from sending two more of the stone weapons to its body. The first one hits its slender, ridged abdomen, while the other one is swatted away by the alien's tentacle, now moving swiftly to its side. Then, you see something form on the alien's face. An unsettling mouth, with several rows of sharp teeth form to indicate a face where there once was none. The girls' footsteps fade away as the alien stares at you with its eyeless grin.

'They've cleared the room,' you think, training your gun on the alien again, 'Now...it's just you and me, ugly.'

The alien doesn't give you much time to think however, as you see then see its body drop from its lazy levitation. It's on all fours now, with its tentacles servings as faux legs while its wings keep it balanced before you. The grin remains plastered on its face for a moment longer, as it lets loose a horrific bellow. The sound it guttural, like a dying animal, yet ferocious like a lion's roar, and it rears its tentacles back.

'Paula said that tower was damaged,' you think, as you back away towards the large hold in the wall, 'If I can trap it inside...maybe there's a chance we won't have to bring down the whole cathedral on it.'

The alien moves its head towards you slowly, as if its trying to fore-see your movements.

'This thing is operating on complete instinct,' you think, arching away slightly, 'Its only goal is to kill and defend itself now. There's no way it's going to predict me doing this.'

The thought passes through your head, as the alien tenses itself back. You notice the tentacles, acting as its rear legs, bend backwards as if it was readying a jump. And it does precisely this, as the alien's quadrupedal form, pounces right for you and letting out another one of its guttural roars.

Utilizing the suit's capabilities, you dodge backwards with a powerful backwards jump to the alien's breach. The broken wall zooms past you as the alien's tentacles miss your legs. The alien accounts for the loss in speed however and utilizes its wings to quickly close the distance towards you. There isn't much time to dodge this, and you decide to take a leap of faith, and extend your leg as the alien comes closer.

In spite of how fast the alien comes for you, you're able to reach out and kick its head with your leg. Narrowly avoiding the sharp teeth of the alien's mouth, you use the impulse brought on by this to push yourself up towards a set of winding metal steps. The angle of your ascent is close enough to reach the handrail, but the alien crashes into it with enough force to start shaking it.

For how slow it began, the alien has become something on par with you and Dante in terms of speed. You look up to see that there's a floor that extends past the steps, and several large holes that show the tower's signature bells. You also notice the two other winding stairs to the top floor, as well as the several hundred or so many stairs to the top.

The alien doesn't give you much more chance to deliberate on this, as starts running around the base of the steps, seemingly like a dog chasing a cat up a tree. You almost laugh at its seemingly stupid stance, when you suddenly see it start bounding off of the walls after a momentum assisted jump. It only takes it a few bounds for it to make it to your level up the stairs, and for it come bearing straight at you.

The alien's body swerves to meet you, and its tube-like neck extends its head in a lunging bite towards you. Since you're not inside of the step's rails themselves, you're quickly able to maneuver yourself to dodge it by taking a quick step towards another side of the staircase. The alien collides on your previous location, violently shaking them as its tentacles quickly find a perch on the handrails right below you. While you don't turn your head below to see it climb, you quickly climb the rails like a ladder.

You're not so much as climbing it, as you're jumping and grabbing the side of the rails with your good arm while the alien continues shaking the staircase. While you can't really do much from your position, you know that this thing isn't strong enough to take down the staircase itself without falling as well. You're about halfway to the top, when the alien decides to take a backwards leap from the side of the staircase and towards one of the other two staircases.

It shakes the metal as bounds off, and then you see it angle itself in mid air to utilize the other staircase as a springboard towards you. The alien violently shakes it in its collision, and makes for your head with blinding speed. This time however, you're ready for it as you also take a great leap from your own staircase and meet the alien in mid air. Yet, instead of kicking it down, you position your foot on its head again.

With a well timed enhanced press of your foot, you drive your heel in the back of the alien's head in mid air, and jump from that point to the other staircase. The sheer amount of force in your foot manages to draw blood from it, and the alien howls in pain as it strikes the other metal staircase. With the amount of damage it has taken however, the staircase's metal bends and you see its supports break off as it plummets to the ground along with the alien.

You don't take the time to see if it recovers, as you head towards the top.

OOC: Sorry forgot the stat increase.

+1 AGR

As you climb the last of the steps up, you finally come across the top floor of the tower. Its wooden frame along with the massive metal girders, support the massive weight of the three bells hanging from National Cathedral. You figure that, even with its defenses, the alien's body can't possibly handle an impact from one of these things.

'Maybe we won't have to destroy the whole thing after all,' you think, as a sudden explosion begins to rock the tower itself, 'Damnit, they've started already?!'

Even with a lot of its structure still intact, you can see that the topmost part of the tower is beginning to wear down after the first explosion by the alien. You can guess you won't have much more time in here before the others blow the rest of the cathedral sky high. Then, you start to hear the shouting below the tower.

About five or six police officers come into the base, looking around for whoever is causing the cathedral to shake as well as looking at the now fallen staircase, but not at the alien recovering from its great fall. You can see its is bleeding from the impact, but it is managing to move around the bottom of the tower easily enough.

'Damnit, when did they get here?!', you think, as the alien begins to circle them as they move into the room, 'Fuck...I gotta think fast...'

You look around quickly, and notice two more things about the floor. The bells are suspended by two massive wooden frames, with a single hole beneath each one that reaches to very bottom. You also spot two large girders that seem to extend beyond the floor along with two separate wooden frames to their side. A loud guttural roar below tells you to make a choice now.

'There's dropping a bell is easy, but,' you think, as you head towards the edge of the stairs, 'I can't make sure it drops on top of the alien. Let's hope these cops get the message...'

As you descend the first few stairs, you pull your gun over the hand-rail and take aim near the officers. The alien looks to pounce near the officers, but a few explosions near its front cause it to flinch as dust and concrete go flying. The officers reel back in fright as the closest to the explosion seem to almost fall back on his ass. The one of the officers shout to leave the area, and after recovering, the others do so out the way they came.

As for the alien, it searches out the room for where that explosion came from. You quickly press yourself against the staircase support beam to prevent it seeing you. It then releases a guttural growl of indignation, and you hear its tentacled footsteps bound again towards the inside of the tower. Whether or not it knows where you are doesn't really matter, as you quickly head back to the top. The tower itself keeps rocking as several explosions nearby seem to cause the whole thing to shake.

The bells themselves are tolling with the impacts, but you don't pay them as much attention as the alien, now trying to make it back up again. Its bounding form climbs and jumps upwards, aided by its fleshy wings.

'It's now or never...'

There's not enough time to drop the supports before that thing makes it up to the top floor. Even if they don't hit it, the bells should be enough of a nuisance in the tower to cause the alien to at least flinch in trying to climb up again. You'll only get one chance at this, as the support beams on those bells may cause the top floor to drop the moment they start falling.

You ready your X-Gun, and make sure to aim yourself at one of the windows the moment the alien decides to come up to you.

'Here's to you, you bastard.'

Your aim is shaky as the current rocking of the tower and the cathedral is causing you to rock with it as well. You don't let it happen for long, as you stamp your feet on the wooden floor, and take aim again with the X-Gun at the support beams. You let loose a shot for each of the bells, and wait the second of lag for the explosions to occur. All the while, a writhing tentacle comes up on one of the holes right next to you, and begins to pull the alien up.

'Fuck...I didn't think it'd come up this quickly...', you think, as that second of lag passes like a minute.

Its orange skin is haggard and worn from the two falls it sustained but its head comes craning up from the hole. The rest of its body cranes upwards as well, and its mouth let's out a guttural roar straight at you. Yet, before it manages to take there rest of its body up, there is a loud, crackling explosion right above it. The support beam for the bell splinters and cracks, as it wearingly releases its brass, tolling cargo.

The alien doesn't even have time to react as one of American's largest ten ton church bells slams into its head and drags it screeching to the bottom. Soon afterwards, the other bells drop as well, as does parts of the floor on the tower. You don't waste anymore time, as you make for one of the windows and launch yourself from the tower below. The shards of glass and metal seem to cascade around you, as the tower's structural frame shakes itself apart.

You land not a few feet away from the base on a patch of grass, and see that the entire structure begins to collapse into itself. The suit's protective inlays give out at the massive fall you took, but you managed to survive nonetheless. The buttons glow red, as you stand, and look at the cathedral itself, as the remaining parts of the structure, rock itself apart. You take to a run, before the entire thing collapses just like the tower.

You take a run across the grass towards where the main entrance used to be. You manage to spot the angel alien's spear on the grass along your run back to the front, but you run past to find where your friends are. Along the way, you come across several squadrons of police cars and the remains of the cathedral staff. All of them are either huddled around the police cars giving testimonies, or one of the few ambulances nearby receiving treatment.

All the while, you see that same group of officers come around the bend with a tired look on their face. One of them, you actually notice as Paula's partner in the force, explaining to his higher up that he went inside in the hopes of finding survivors. You don't stay to listen to their story, as you round out the entrance to the other side of the cathedral.

Sure enough however, on the other side of the grassy hill, you find them. Some of them are wounded, bloody, and physically maimed from the ordeal, but they're the first to give you a warm welcome back. The others who didn't receive severe injuries are still on their knees, crying that you may not have made it, until Paula rallies them to your side again.

You're pulled up from their hugs of elation and relief by Dante, who extends a shoulder to you as he pulls you close.

"You crazy son of a bitch," he states, patting you on the back and showing you the empty radar, "I think you got him man, no more signatures here. Though, you may have aided in destroying a national landmark to do it."

"Yeah, you're technically a domestic terrorist, Erick," Yukino says seriously, but soon cracks a smile, "But you also helped to take down the alien, even though Allie and Carol said your plan was really bad. I believed in you, just letting you know!"

"Yeah...", you reply, "Not my proudest plan...but, it went off well enough. But...there's nothing else here right?"

"Unless they're trying to blindside us again," Dante says, and then shows you the timer, "It stopped, right on 12 minutes. Guess we took care of them well enough."

'Guess that figures,' you think, 'Gantz sure is taking its sweet ass time though...May as well make the best of it.'

It soon strikes you that you were forgetting something before you had your fleeting fight with that alien. Before it turned into that monstrous thing, and before the alien leader died...There was something...something you left behind...

"Shit, I need to head back inside," you say, earning a few wary looks from everyone, "there was a metal canister that popped out of that cannon thing. I am not too sure, but I need to find it."

"Wait, hold on a minute man," Dante says, trying follow your train of thought, "There's nothing to go back to, the whole damn thing collapsed. Besides, we're don already, let's just take a breather before we get teleported back."

"You don't understand," you reply, and start moving towards the back entrance that somehow remains standing even if the rest of the structure doesn't, "It's a storage unit, it's holding all of the aliens I telefragged with that thing. If we leave it behind, we leave behind a ton of points as well as something anyone could come across."

"But Erick, how are you gonna move all of that rubble!?" Paula states, following your steps towards the back entrance, "Even with the suit, there's no way you can move all of that by yourself. I know you have that psychic stuff, but-"

"I'm not gonna force you guys to help me," you reply back to her with slight smile, "But it is something I have to do. If this is what determines whether or not we can bring Kurtis back, then I have to take that chance Paula."

You continue moving towards the entrance, with Paula somewhat stunned that you said that. You don't wait for them to come and help you, as you move towards the closest rubble pile near the back, where you think that canister should be at.

'Like a needle in a haystack...', you think to yourself, looking at the large amount of rubble strewn about, 'Well...let's get started.'

Don't care about the weapons as cool as they are. Hopefully the canister will give Gantz a good idea of how the aliens are getting stronger. Not that the freaking ball would care.

Rolled 19 + 3 (1d20 + 3)

With the amount of rubble before you, it would take several days and people to pull it. However, with your suit enhanced upper body and partial telekinesis to help you, the task ins't quite as difficult. That being said, the amount of rubble before you is staggering and even with your abilities, it would take you over an hour to get to the floor of the church by yourself. Time you unfortunately do not have, as Gantz's laser could teleport you away in a few moments.

However, as you strain yourself to get the rubble moving, you start hearing the shifting of stone and marble around you. Then you hear the footsteps of several more people coming to the site of the supposed canister. All around you, Paula, Dante, Yukino, and even Maria are helping to move out the rubble alongside you. You go to say something, before Paula cuts you off, coming closer to move more of the rubble.

"There's only so much you can do alone Erick," she says, moving a few piles of rubble alongside you, "Dante was saying that...he wishes you make your our leader. You seem to always have a good idea or plan on board for everything."

"Do you agree with him?" you state, helping her with another piece, "I mean, I'm not opposed but...it seems strange he suggested it all of a sudden."

You don't get to finish your thought, before you see a laser descend down on Maria's body, and she gets teleported away as she's clearing up more rubble. The laser then descends further back, probably on Silvia or Claire, though you hope its Silvia given her injuries.

"We'll talk more once we get to the room," Paula says, speeding up on moving the rubble, "Now, let's get that canister back. We made a promise, after all."

You nod with a smile and continue digging further down.

The laser gets to Dante not a few seconds before he actually manages to reach the floor. He reels back, a few meters away from you and waves to you and Paula.

"I think I got something!" he says, before his mouth is teleported away. He continues waving and pointing to his spot before the laser takes him away. Only you and Paula remain, and you both head towards his large rubble hole. The piles of rubble he made around himself as he dug almost create hills as you and Paula get near.

Sure enough, as you and Paula peer over the side, the canister lays stuck beneath a metal girder. You don't hesitate for a moment, and reach down for it. Then, the whirring of the laser begins to make its way towards you and you feel that cold sensation of the teleportation taking your head away.

"Paula! Pull me up!" you manage to say, before the laser takes your mouth away. You dive into the hole and reach for the canister. You grab the canister in your hand, and feel a tug on your legs as Paula pulls you up. The suit's enhanced strength wobbles the girder away, and the canister lands in your hand. Not a moment later, you feel the rest of your body, being whisked away to a familiar room.

<April 23rd, Monday 11:15 PM>

Your vision realigns with the glowing light of the ceiling lamp, as you spot the others surrounding you and the Gantz ball. After their share of smiles and congratulatory hugs, Paula arrives to give you a more passionate version of congratulations. As you finish locking lips with Paula, you can't help but notice Maria and her girls sport a bit of a blush as they look at you two pull away. Not long afterwards before they notice the large metal canister in your hands.

"So...what is it man?", Tanjeet moves closer, trying to inspect it, "Is it really a storage unit like Dante mentioned? Like, the guns are crazy enough, but...to break down matter into a digital form...it's-"

"Crazy? Impossible? Out of this world?" Carol says, holding up her own Y-Launcher, "Maybe, but...are we gonna start questioning things now Tanjeet?"

He only grumbles at her, before he returns back to you.

"Yeah, they should be in there," you reply to Tanjeet, shaking the canister a little, "Kind of makes me wonder though as to why there's the two methods of getting rid of them though. You either telefrag them away or you kill them."

"I've been wondering about that too actually," Paula follows up, looking at the canister itself, "You seem to always get more points for lasering them away. It's almost like a strange kind of bounty system."

"You mean like the Wild West?" Silvia, once again, surprises everyone, "I mean...err, it's like that in cowboy movies right? Bounty hunters getting more money for taking outlaws alive than dead?"

"Actually...that's not a bad point," Tanjeet says, pondering with a hand on his chin, "For whatever reason, Gantz seems to give out more points for telefrags than for kills. Which could mean that...we're not really killing them if we laser them away?"

Everyone stands to think on the idea for a moment, before they are interrupted by a strange whirring sound.

Everyone turns around to see a glowing timer on the ball's screen.

<00:12:28>

Everyone's gaze is on Gantz to see the strange message scrawled on its screen.

<3v3ry0n3 w17h @ c@n, dr0p 17 1n 7h3 sl07>

The ball's front opens up to reveal a wide hole that extends like a receptacle. Figuring it's probably time to do this, you extend your arm forward and drop the canister in the hole. It lands shallowly enough that you can see its bottom, before a latch closes it up. The ball makes a strange whirring sound, like the laser teleporting you guys, before the receptacle opens again.

Carol manages to get the canister out of the gun, but not before almost firing it again. She follows your lead, and drops the canister in the hole as well. It shuts close, and this time, does not return open again. Everyone waits for a few seconds, staring in wonder at the ball, before another message appears.

"Has it ever really been reliable since we got here?" Paula replies, putting a foot on the ball, "Wouldn't surprise me if it was random from the start, honestly. Though, I just realized that we're two games away from that streak window again."

"Streak window?" Maria chimes in, "That's not a weird exhibitionist thing right-"

"I don't think it can hear you Allie," you reply nonchalantly to her comments, "Personally, I wouldn't go around making it mad though. You still got a bomb in your head and it has the trigger."

"...yeah...fine...", Allie sighs, retreating back to the corner, "At least, you didn't lie again Erick. We did live, and you and your team did keep us alive."

<3. ERASE YOUR MEMORIES AND LEAVE THE GAME>

"Erick, everyone...", Dante says, looking back at you and the others, "Thank you, I...couldn't have actually done it without you."

You see genuine happiness from Dante face, yet...a slight gloom begins to shadow over Carol's face. She, as well as you and Paula know what's gonna happen next. Dante's fingers press on the second option, and several hundred portraits begin to pop up. Like you imagined, Tom and Miranda's portraits are right there at the front of the list.

Dante however doesn't waste anytime looking for Chris's portrait. With only a few other people in front of him, Dante quickly makes his way through the list. His finger lands on Chris's portrait, still with that wry, psychotic smile of his and Gantz's lets out a familiar whirr.

In front of everyone, Gantz teleports a familiar figure, at least to you, Paula and Carol. It is the figure of a 5'8, 16 year old white teenager, in a full Gantz suit. The teleportation process takes less than a few seconds, before Chris finds himself on his feet again, and quickly eyeing the rooms surroundings. He eventually turns his head to see all the new faces, but stops when he sees Dante.

"Holy shit...did I die man?!" Chris states, his eyes going a little wide, "And you brought me back, brosef? Haha...Hahaha! Yeah, I knew you'd pull through man!"

"Glad to have you back," Dante says, almost sounding like forced kindness, "But need to save the thanks you and other niceties for later. Gantz ain't done yet."

"Oh shit, alright, let's see those scores then!" Chris says, looking at the ball with some childlike glee, "Anyone else gonna score big like Dante? Bet you didn't tell them, I had 92 points before those fucking frogs did me in!"

Dante only shakes his head and pulls him away from being so close to the screen.

<Erick 'FUCKING' Vanders - 126 points - Only -30 more points to go! - Damn. Just. Damn.>

Everyone goes silent at the announcement. Even Chris, who's mouth only opens and stays open at the sheer amount of points in the message.

<CONGRATULATIONS ERICK! YOU GOT 100 POINTS! EXTRA MENU UNLOCKED>

"Holy, fucking shit man," Chris moves away from the screen and looks at you straight in the eyes a look of sheer amazement, "Not gonna lie, didn't think anyone would beat Dante's 75 points high score. But, holy christ man, sorry that I heckled you earlier dawg, you're baddass in my book."

"I can't believe it either," Dante says, looking over the points total, "How the hell did you manage that many points? I thought the final boss would have counted for all of us since we all brought down the cathedral together."

"Hey...I can't even describe it either," you reply back, grabbing your head from the rush of blood going to it, "About the alien though...I may have killed it before the cathedral fell. It trapped me in the tower, and I dropped on of the bells on it."

"NO WAY!" Chris shouts almost gleefully, "you kill stole your whole team for the final boss?! Holy shit man, who are you and what did you do with that pussy that came in here that one night?"

The shouts of excitement from the others begin to coalesce together, almost indistinctly. You look over the points again to see if they are real, and they indeed do not change. The screen changes to the 100 points menu again, and you eye it very carefully. After considering the choice, you turn your head slightly and catch a glimpse of Paula.

Paula's gaze meets your own for a brief second, and she nods to you.

+1 Trust (Paula Torrez); +2 Trust (Kurtis Yates)

In your head, there is only really one choice. You made a promise to Paula, and the a promise to yourself, that you would seem him back someday. Whether that was something you did today, tomorrow, or a year from now, you would complete that promise. Your fingers choose the middle option, and you start your search for Kurtis.

"What? BOOOOO!" Chris interjects on your choice, "You get a hundred points and you choose to bring someone back? Never mind man, you're still a pussy-"

Dante's immediately backhands him, and Chris reels back in somewhat pain.

"Yo, what the fuck Dante?" he starts, but Dante's coldest look is on him. Chris doesn't finish his thought.

"There's more to the damn game than just points and killing shit," Dante states, looking at him with steely eyes, "Some of us, want more than just that shit Chris. Don't make me start regretting bringing your ass back."

"Alright, alright, just chill..." Chris replies, actually looking a little scared, "It was just a joke man."

Dante only nods his head in a huff. Not long afterwards, your fingers land on Kurtis's portrait. In the same suit the night you saw him die, his portrait brings you finger close and you depress it with all of your intent. A familiar whirr is emitted from the Gantz ball, and that laser begins to etch to life an old friend.

Kurtis's form is brought back slab by slab, and the entire room watches as once again they witness a strange case of resurrection once again. Kurtis's feet land not a few seconds after the process starts, and he looks around the room in a similar manner to Chris. This time however, his gaze lands on you.

"Erick?" He starts, and then looking at his suited up hands, "I'm...alive? But...I felt it, that monster cut me in half...and you're alive too. It cut off your legs...and, god it was so horrible."

"It's alright man," you say, getting closer to him, and putting a hand on his shoulder, "You're here now, and that's all that matters. I brought you back after I got a 100 points."

"No way..." he says, looking back at you, "That's incredible man, I can't believe it. Thank you so much!"

You actually stop him before he goes to give you hug. He reels back, seemingly ashamed that he almost got touchy, but you head to the hallway where you left your hoodie and pants. From one of the pockets, you pull out something and return back to the room.

"I think this belongs to you," you say, handing Kurtis his dog-tags. He eyes them for a minute, and then puts them back around his neck with the chain. You almost see a tear build in his eyes as he looks at you again.

"Thank you, Erick," he says, and then gives you a small salute.

<Session Start>

Kurtis's salute is met with your own, which is reciprocated by a manly hug from him. In spite of his grateful gesture, his arms are strong enough to almost choke a bit of the air out of you. A few seconds later, he lets you go and you take in a slight of air as he does.

"Seriously, guys I can't thank you all enough, I know Erick didn't do it by himself," Kurtis states to the whole room, "But wow, we got a lot more people in here since I kicked it. Glad to see everyone else is still alive, though...what happened to that Blood fella that was here?"

"About him...", you start, and then Carol steps up from behind you.

"He's dead," Carol states with a serious tone, "he...died at the end of the last hunt."

You and Paula want to say something, but one saddened look from Dante silences you both. By the slightly crossed expression in Paula's face, you can tell it's probably hurting her to not speak on the truth. While you figure that the new girls and Chris don't know about Gecko, you sense that Yukino and Tanjeet probably know what will happen if the truth comes to light.

"Damn, almost makes me wonder we even tried," Kurtis replies, in an almost regretful tone, "He was kind of a dick honestly, but...no one deserves to die before their time. Actually...how long has it been, since I died?"

"Yeah, I'm wondering that too," Chris interjects, "How long did it take you guys to get that many points? Weren't you at like 40 or 30 when we last left of Dante?"

"Well...it's actually been 2 week since the mission at the pier," Dante states, earning a look of curiosity from Chris, "For Kurtis, it's been about 1 week. They even reported your deaths or dissaperances on the news, though...no bodies ever showed up."

"Oh thank god," Chris replies, faux wiping the sweat from his brows, "Here I thought I was dead for a couple of months. No offense Dante, but I know you'd be dead meat without 'my' helping hand."

"They never found our bodies?" Kurtis asks, and gets a similar response from you, "What does that-"

"He means it would have covered up your death...", Allie interjects, her eyes going a little wide as she does, "Holy shit, the Gantz knows how to determine and create scenarios to cover up a person's disappearance in the outside. If someone dies here...then...-"

The train of thought is interrupted by the click of an unlocking door. All the while, you spot a faint flicker on Gantz's shiny black display. For a second, you swear you saw a timer.

"It's open!" Maria's voice echoes from the hallway, "The door is open! We can leave!"

Silvia and Claire head to the hallway to see, and they both repeat Maria's elated response. Allie somewhat deflates that her train of thought has been sidetracked, but is also somewhat relieved that the ordeal is finally over. Paula places a hand on her shoulder regardless, gives her a look of relief.

"We'll discuss this more when we get out of here," she states with a warm tone, "Right now, help me get everyone's clothes squared away. It's gonna take a little bit some of us to change."

Allie nods her head and heads to the hallway with Paula to retrieve everyone's clothes. In spite of how resentful Allie had been to you and Paula, you thought that perhaps the tribulations of the hunt had begun to ease her mind.

'Time will tell,' you think further, as they head to the hallway. The thought however is interrupted when you hear a shout from the back. You see everyone near Dante starts to back away slowly. You turn your head, and see that Carol's got her Y-Launcher trained in Chris. All the while, Dante is trying to put himself between the two.

"I told you not to talk to me," Carol says, that familiar icy tone in her voice, "I'm not gonna hold back you damnit. Dante, don't you dare-"

"Fuck you, I only wanted to know what that new gun was," Chris retorts back, a scowl growing on his face, "Don't tell me you're still mad about what happened at the pier? I asked nicely you know, but you just had to say no."

"Chris, shut your damn mouth for one second," Dante shouts over them both, "And Carol, calm the hell down already. We can't be doing this to each other, I know you're not over but-"

"Out of the damn way Dante!" Carol shouts, looking back at him with a few tears in her eyes, "You think he's gonna just run free after the shit he pulled. FUCK HIM!"

"Right back at you dumb cunt!" Chris follows up, "You think you're the only cute piece of ass in this room? I think you'd better get over yourself first. I know I sure did!"

You try to omit the rest of their tirade as it looks like neither of them is backing down on this. Kurtis taps your shoulder and motions you towards them.

"Let's stop their little lover's quarrel," he says, cracking his knuckles, "Who do you want to take? I'll knock either one of them out for some peace and quiet again."

Nah the blood was rapist and killed her. Although my bet was on his idiot friend being the one to pull the trigger. Anyway Chris is already enough bagage for Carol without the blood in the game so let's try to keep things civil.

She's also very emotional as show by her dislike of the bloods. But hopefully we can fix any fuck up we make.

>Sometimes the relationship of family goes beyond blood ties?

i agree but try to tell that to the senator.

>Dante is good while Chris is bad. When the Senator dies we all know -including the senator himself- Chris is going to squander all his inheritance.

I wouldn't say it's a matter of good and bad. I think Chris is just a idiot kid who never got a go all of his life (hence words to Carol "but you had to say no") maybe the senator needs more time to realize Chris can't be helped. Maybe he hopes that Chris will get over once he's less young (the boy is a literal kid being 16 years old). Although i don't remember Dante's age.

You perk your head towards Chris and Kurtis nods in agreement. He holds up 3 fingers to you, and begins counting down. In those three seconds, Carol's face starts tearing up a bit more and her cries start getting more disjointed. The gun is shaking in her hands, and the others looking on are trying walk even further away. This all ends the moment you and Kurtis move forward.

Kurtis's body slams into Carol and quickly disarms the gun from her hands. He doesn't waste any time in pinning her down, and Dante is taken by surprise at his sheer speed even without the suit. At the same time, you speed towards Chris with a direct slam into hte wall and try to pull him by the shoulders away from the struggle. He resists at first, but there's surprisingly no real usage of his suit as you pull him back. As a smug smile creeps on his face, you soon realize why.

"Yeah see that you dumb bitch!" Chris starts, as you pull him into the hallway, and you resist the urge to knock him out right then and there, "Don't mess with me, cause the boys got my back! Try that shit again next time, see what happens!"

You successfully pull Chris back into the hallway, but not before catching a glimpse of Carol's tear-soaked face as you open the door. Dante and Yukino are on her in an instant trying to calm her down, but you don't get to see much of it as the hall door slams shut on your vision. You don't waste time in forcefully shoving Chris to the wall, but his fall to the floor is cushioned by a stack of clothes beneath him. You spot Paula and the other girls startled by your sudden intrusion.

"Do you mind, we just-" Maria says, but notices Chris on the floor holding his head, "Hey, did he start that commotion Erick? What the hell is happening in there?"

"Hell no, that dumb bitch inside started it," Chris starts again, getting up slowly, "Just wanted to know what that new gun was and she starts going off on me! Good thing Erick had my back in there, right?"

Can't do that man we can't force people out of the game (unless we kill then)

Also it looks like dante didn't shared the trainning sections he had with Chris...that's interesting.

God damn it Chris, are you suicidal or you seriously don't give a fuck what happens to you? She ICE the motherfucking in the floor like he was nothing and you try to piss her off? You think those points that brought you back were easy to get? All our lives are on the line here and we all have survive by working together. Now I think you can a part of the team and not waste Dante's efforts bringing you back, but you have to control yourself and not mess with the people who will be watching your back week to week.

>Just have Dante babysit him

Chris shot Dante last time the Big N. tried to hold Chris down. We could at least waut until Dante is out of School so he can have his on life without depending on Chris and the Senator.

Until then it's better to not cross the psycho unless he shoot us in our back. That's why i wanted to go for Carol and keep the thrust we got from everyone else so people can both watch Chris and protect our back.
>>

can we exclude the part of Dante needing him?

>God damn it Chris, are you suicidal or you seriously don't give a fuck what happens to you?

Yes

>She ICE the motherfucking in the floor like he was nothing and you try to piss her off?

To be fair he wasn't alive when she killed the blood

>You think those points that brought you back were easy to get?

Most likely he doesn't care. Look at him mentioning to Dante he wouldn't last a month without Chris 'helping hand'. I believe this is connected to the fact that Dante said to us how the Senator makes his life miserable when Dante usn't watching Chris.
>>

It's kinda funny you need to reach the 100 point menu five times to have acess to the manual.
>>
>fuck you're right. we need to ask his stupid ass why he shot his brother. he could have died.

He would most likely say something like: "I just shot him in the foot. People don't die from getting shot in the foot! All the movies that i watched showed that. Also he was going to get all back once we returned so there was no problem in doing it."
>>
Good thing is that with Kurtus back to the game we get another radar on the team. As much as those things have showed to be unreliable

"Don't get me wrong, I had the group's back in there," you state, looking at Chris straight in the eyes, "I'm not gonna repeat myself here, stop doing retarded things you dumbfuck. We're a team now, and if you want to survive you'll have to listen to me."

"What the shit?" Chris replies, chuckling a little at your comment, "What, are you our leader or some shit now? Who appointed you to that?!"

"Dante did," Paula speaks up, which causes Chris to flinch back, "Erick's plans have lead us to survive two of those missions now. And if you have a problem with it, then take it up with him."

Chris looks somewhat incredulously at you, but your gaze doesn't falter one bit. He returns back to you with a scowl and moves a little closer. Noticing this, the girls try to move closer as well, but Paula holds them back.

"We need to stick together to get out of this fucking situation," you continue, your tone unchanging, "This isn't some game! You died twice already, and nothing's changed! What the hell is wrong with you?"

"You don't know a damn thing about me, Erick," Chris replies back, his tone becoming darker, "But, I will say this much, I at least know how to take advantage of Gantz! I lived through 2 of those missions before Dante showed up, before your any of your friends showed up. What makes you think I need your fucking help?"

"He's not asking you trust him right away!" Maria replies to him, and the other girls nod as well, "He just wants people to stop fighting each other. That girl Carol, already killed someone in the group, and no of us want that to happen again!"

Chris does a double take from her, and then back to you. You only reply with a nod, and his eyes grow wide at this. He returns back to his defiant nature and grits his teeth.

"So what then?!" he starts again, looking at you, "That how it is Erick? You gonna kill me the moment I step out of line?! You think Dante is gonna have a say in this or-"

"Carol might," you reply back, and see that Chris is seething at your words, "We might not even be there to save you if that ever happens. You gotta control yourself, and not let that kind of shit happen again."

"She's not gonna forgive you anytime soon," Paula interjects, "But just give her some space for a bit. All of our lives are on the line here and we need to survive-"

"Oh shut the hell up already!" Chris shouts back at Paula, and then immediately winds up for a running clotheline to her neck. Paula readies herself to counter, but the hit never comes. Chris's body is motionless for a few moments, and is then pulled against the wall again.

"What...the hell...?!" He says, looking back at you, "You...what the hell is this...? What are you?!"

"The only reason you're alive right now is because Dante brought you back," you bluntly state, a trail of blood running down your nose, "You're an idiot and if it were up to me I'd have left you dead. If you want to continue with the hunts, you need to stay the fuck away from Carol. Understood?"

Chris looks back at you with scorn and doesn't reply back to your command. So, you increase the pressure on your psychokinesis. You see him gasp in a bit of pain.

"Erick, don't" Paula shouts, looking at you with pleading eyes, "If you put that much pressure, you could rupture his lungs. You gotta-"

"I said," you repeat, ignoring Paula, "Understood? Don't make me repeat myself again."

"U-understood..." Chris struggles to say, "I'll...stay...away. Just, keep her out of my...damn...sight as well..."

You nod in agreement and you finally release the psychic force on Chris's body. He falls to the floor with a similar slump as before, and is now holding his stomach and back in pain. You, on the other hand, reel back a little and Paula catches you as you almost fall back. You take a moment to wipe the blood from your nose and then motion to the girls.

"Get the rest of the clothes in the room sorted," you say to them, and then look to Chris, "And Maria, watch over him for a bit until everyone gets ready to change. We'll need contacts as well, get those compiled from the others so we can keep in touch."

"Erick...are you alright?" Paula asks as you open the door back into the room. You turn your head back to her and silently nod before heading back in. You didn't hear more of what happened outside, but you can tell it may have been...awkward to stay around. Though, judging from Yukino's smiling face, it seems to have petered out well enough.

You see that Dante is holding Carol close, as they are sitting one in front of the other and both smiling a little. Kurtis is talking to Allie, about...aliens or something he seems to be scratching his head. Yukino and Tanjeet on the other hand are looking over something on his phone, and seem to be concerned about an outgoing message.

+1/2 Trust (Dante & Carol)

You approach Carol and Dante, who only respond the moment you kneel down next to them. You notice Carol's eyes not as downcast as before, but the dried up trails of her tears still mark her skin. Dante's still holding onto her, but loosens his grip a little when you come around.

"Hey guys, don't worry too much about Chris," you say, trying to sound soothing as you do, "I sorted him out back there, and got him to keep his distance for now. What about you two, are you guys alright?"

"We're fine, just fine," Carol says, her eyes still looking at the floor, "Dante and the others...helped me calm down a little. And...I'm sorry Erick."

"There's nothing to really apologize for Carol," Dante asks, "It was rash to pull out the gun sure but, you didn't-"

"It's not that," she interrupts, looking at you now, "it's just that...well. When you pulled Chris away, and Kurtis knocked me down, I thought for a moment...that you had taken his side."

"Oh, Carol..." you reply back, with a bit of an apologetic look, "don't regret something you didn't say or do, alright? I got everyone's back here either way, so don't worry too much about it."

"I...thank you Erick," she says, smiling a little afterwards, "Also...Dante told me you're our leader now? And judging by that tirade outside, I think you're asserting yourself pretty well."

"Jeez, you guys heard that?", you ask them, and then feel a hand on your shoulder. Tanjeet and Yukino come up to your side, followed by Allie and Kurtis.

"Yeah, we all heard it," Kurtis says, "well, we heard it better after Dante and myself calmed Carol down."

"It was kind of scary," Yukino follows up, but her eyes brighten up a little, "But...kind of cool as well."

"Kind of cool?" Tanjeet continues, "He delivered the verbal equivalent of a freight train to that guy."

"Yeah, you don't pull any punches Erick," Allie states, "Kind of reminds me of my old boss, right to the point with people."

"Heh, alright, I get it was cool," you reply back to them, "Personally speaking..."

Yup Kishimoto got 'cloned' because Gantz thought she was dead but she was actually bleeding slowly. Then her mother showed up and saved Kishimoto 1.0 and the one that got teleported by Gantz was just a error.

Im Kurono's case i can't exactly remember how come Gantz cloned another. Can't remember if he was though dead or if once you get out of the game a person may clone another to replace the person that leaves.

"Personally, I'll take the position, but only if all of you agree with it," you reply, and then look to the hallway, "let's help out the girls get those clothes sorted out. Once everyone's here, we'll get started."

Kurtis, Tanjeet and Yukino nod and head towards the hallway to help out the girls. Meanwhile, Carol and Dante lift each other up and head for the other corner to make room for everyone else. At the same time, Allie makes her way to your side and looks you over curiously.

"Look at you, already people at your beck and call," she says, moving a little closer, "Not even the leader yet and you already have an entourage. What's your gain here Erick? You know they'll elect you regardless, so what's the point in having the election?"

"It's a matter of input," you reply back, "If I'm going to lead, I want to know that everyone's for it at least. Even if I know the outcome, at least they'll know I gave them a choice."

"How very, American," she says, somewhat jokingly, "Personally, I think you may be in over your head, but I have respect for someone with your level of drive. Gotta say, you certainly got my vote."

She gives you a wry smile, and goes to the hallway to help the others. The 180 on her pleasant and vitriolic attitude makes your stomach turn just a little bit.

'Is she bipolar or something?'

<April 23rd, Monday 11:35 PM>

The cleanup doesn't take too long and everyone's clothes are picked out in the hall. In between waiting for everyone to change, you see that the others are already discussing you being the leader. From their talks and excited dialogue, you can tell that nearly everyone here may be already on your side, even Maria and her girls. The only one you don't see in the conversation however is Chris, who is secluding himself to the back of the room.

After the last person comes back from changing, that being Paula, you head towards the front of the Gantz ball and clap your hands loudly to get everyone's attention. All of them, including Chris, look to you standing at the front. They all stand or lean, but their attention is yours.

"As you all know, I was asked to receive a leadership position in this group," you start, looking at everyone here, "But I want all of you to know that I want your input. If you guys wish to have me as leader, raise your hand."

Not to your surprise, everyone raises their hand. Well, all except on person in the back.

"Alright, anyone opposed to my leadership," you continue, and think about your next words, "Please raise your hand, come up here and give me the reason as to why you think otherwise."

Again, not to your surprise, you see on hand raised in opposition. Everyone looks back, and sees Chris moving forward from the group towards you. He stops not a few feet from you and stares you down. His stare is one of annoyance, but strangely enough fear as well.

"I ran with a group a while back, before all of this" he starts, surprising everyone with his clear dialogue, "They also had a leader, a guy who talked big, kind of like you Erick. He spoke of nothing but wanting to keep peace, for everyone to survive and live through this fucking game."

"But when it came down to it, the only thing he wanted was to save himself the moment it came to helping out his teammates," he continues, earning some scowling faces from the group, "He'd rather leave, all of it, just because he didn't want to be in the game anymore and left his teammates to die. How do I know the same shit isn't gonna happen with you, Erick?"

You see that Paula and Yukino are about to interject, but Dante and Carol quiet hold them back. Throughout all of this, Chris's eyes stare directly at you with an intent of burning you alive.

Good question Chris. My answer is this, the people here have seen what i did today and they know i won't put their lives at risk without any reason. I will hear what the group has to say about my decision and will not sacrifice anyone to win point. I could have leafed all of you the moment i got the 100 points but i choose to bring Kurtis back. Both because i had a promise to keep with him. I will eventualy leave the game but i will wait for everyone else to get their points. Which i say they can either use it to leave and i won't judge then for it. Even if i acquire the 100 point i will leave only if everyone in the room has acquired it together with me or if everyone leaves.

Well. I figured Chris thinks we're a piece of shit that puts up a big front. Not sure if it helps, but resurrecting Kurtis was a start so he could have a second chance, though Chris might rationalize (kek) that we only revived Kurtis for his training.

can he tell us more about this guy?

That's why we will do with our actions. We won't save everybody that died that's impossible and crazy. We will however save everyone that gets transported here and those who fight with us.

Even though...Mariana and the old men didn't deserved to die they both said they didn't expect to manage to last in these hunts.

"I've already had the chance to leave the game," you retort, not breaking the stare down, "I had over a 100 points, and I could have left then but I didn't. I brought Kurtis because he died to save me, to save all of us."

"Really now?" Chris replies, not letting up the stare down, "Well, you can say all of those things when you're not held down by everyone's lives. But what happens when you're in charge? What's gonna happen the moment all of those lives are truly on your back, Erick?"

"Chris that's enough," Dante interjects, causing everyone but the two of you to look at him, "We get you don't trust him, but do you hope gain by-"

"Let them speak Dante," Paula replies to him, "He's gotta get this off his chest. I get the feeling this is probably the best time for it..."

Dante looks at Paula with a worried look, but sighs and returns to his place. Meanwhile, you and Chris do not break eye-contact for a moment.

"I'll let the future convince you" you state, and Chris's brows narrow for a moment, "I'm not sure if there is anything I can say that would convince you otherwise, so I'd rather let you decide on me based on my actions. I want all of us to escape, even you Chris."

Chris's face contorts into an almost fearful stare at your final words. In fact, everyone is very much hung up on that last statement with expressions ranging from reassured to worried. The expression on Chris's face however, doesn't last too long, and he turns his back to you.

"We'll see then, Erick," he says, walking away towards the hallway, "I'll be outside. Don't bother me."

Everyone's faces turn back to you as soon as the door to hallway shuts behind him. For a brief moment, you hear cheering from the crowd of people front of you. Their cries of congratulations echo in your mind, yet at the same time, you feel a nagging feeling in the pit of your gut.

"Hey Tanjeet", Maria says, sending him a text message, "If you got some free time this weekend, why not hang out with us? We got some good history with the staff at Heist's, and taking you out for some free drinks seems like the least we could do for showing us how those guns worked."

"Eh...I may have to pass actually," Tanjeet says, rubbing the back of his head, "I got med finals coming up in a week, so I'll be a little booked for the weekend. I appreciate the offer though, so you girls have your fun."

"Oh come on," Silvia says, and Claire finishes the sentence, "You've gotta relax every so often you know. We're in pre-law, and even we know when to have some time to relax and have some fun."

The girls had been on Tanjeet the moment you and the others had exited the room. After your election, and the congratulatory cheers from the others, you all left the room and were currently on your way out of the apartment. But not before Paula collected nearly everyone's contact info and started the mass chain message to get you all connected. In spite of the night's hectic events, everyone was in surprisingly high spirits.

"They do know his kind of med student isn't really into the party scene?" Paula says as you take the stairs to the ground floor of the apartment, "Also, what do you think we should do about the driving situation. Dante's car isn't gonna fit this many people."

"Well...I figured you could call one of your boys and take Allie to the station as well as Yukino," you say, as you make your way out of the lobby, "As for everyone else, Kurtis mentioned he lived nearby and he would take the girls home in his own car. Carol says she's gonna ride with him, because of the whole...Chris situation."

"Can't really blame her honestly," she says, as you all exit to the street, "I'll come up with some excuse...for bringing Yukino home. Guess you'll be riding with them and Tanjeet? Don't really envy you there Erick."

You nod your head somewhat jokingly and she gives you a pat on the back for your bravery. After saying your farewells to everyone, including a final hug from Yukino, you head to Dante's car. Dante, Tanjeet and Chris are already loaded up, but you notice that the latter's normally cocky expression has been replaced with something akin to...melancholy? You only notice this for a moment, before you open the door and head in.

The drive shouldn't take longer than 30 min to your house, assuming Dante will stop there first.

'May as well make the most of it...'

+1 Trust (Tanjeet)

"You know Tanjeet, I get you're in medical school and all but," you start, as Dante moves the car from the lot, "Would it kill you to have a little bit of fun every now and then? Not saying you gotta hook up with one of the girls but you could have considered their offer you know."

"It's not that I didn't want to go," Tanjeet replies, somewhat embarrassed, "it's just that, I kind of can't afford it with my current schedule. Besides, you know me, I'm with the party scene. Like what would I even do or say when I got there?"

"Just bullshit through it man," you retort, and you see Tanjeet look away a little, "Don't tell me you've not gotten through one assignment in college without bullshitting it a little bit? I'm just saying, when three girls invite you for drinks you can't just-"

"Wait a minute, what?!" Chris interjects, his head turning back to you two and a look of disbelief is on his face, "You got those three chicks in the hall interested in you and asking you for drinks, and you said no?! Are you a faggot or something?"

"Hey man, it's not like that," Tanjeet replies, looking a little cross, "I'm just...I've never really hung out with girls alright? I don't know how to deal with them, alright. Never had a girlfriend, even in high school because of school or my parents."

"Really?" you ask, and Tanjeet just nods his head in somewhat embarrassment, "Well...what's really stopping you now? Like, how prepared are you for exams?"

"Screw exams, you need to get out there right after this," Chris interrupts, looking at him now, "Yeah, you're kind of a loser for not getting your dick wet in high school, but you got a golden opportunity right now man. Get down with those girls, worry a little less for once."

"What, like you did Chris?", Dante chimes in, earning a narrow brow from Chris, "Just saying, getting a blowjob isn't the same as going down on a girl. Or am I gonna have to let them know you're a virgin as well."

"Man, fuck off Dante," Chris replies, punching him in the shoulder and getting a chuckle from him, "It's not like you're banging anyone right now anyways. Just, focus on driving us home."

"I mean...I guess I'm prepared enough for exams," Tanjeet replies, chuckling a little at their remarks, "Alright, I'll give Maria a call later tonight and see if she's still up for it. I'll just have to come up with a good cover up for my parents when they visit this weekend."

"There you are man," you say, patting Tanjeet on the shoulder, "Have some fun, these are supposed to be some of the most free years of your life. Your parent only get a saw if its their home, and I don't think your dorm qualifies as private property."

Tanjeet chuckles at your comment, and gives a kind 'Thank you'. His remarks reminded you of that first meeting with Paula, and of that first step. It was who you were, but also who you would become. For that night, you were still alive.

I would first like to say, thank you to all the anons that showed up for these sessions on the weekend. You made writing for this much easier, as your choices determine how fast and well this whole thing goes.

Now, congratulations guys! You beat the Gantz third hunt curse! What happens from here on is entirely uncharted territory, so be prepared for some crazy shit and plot points to be wrapped up in the upcoming slice of life.

We will start on this next Friday or Saturday at 3:00 PM EST pending my schedule.

Check up on my twitter for updates, scheduling changes and other goodies I will post.

Have yourselves a wonderful night /qst/.

>What happens from here on is entirely uncharted territory
Do you mean it's going to deviate from the manga's canon? You're gonna throw in your own pure blend?
>>
>>2461830

I'll actually be straight with you guys for once.

The hunts I have determined for you guys are actually selected from a pool of hunts I developed at the start of the quest. The first three were predetermined already, but from now on I will select the hunts you guys will go on in according to a simple formula.

The more people in your group, the harder the hunts I will choose and vice versa.

>>2461850

We already deviated from canon with the inclusion of the new weapons. This is an AU that follows the primary rules and conventions of the Gantz series. That being said, without spoiling too much, there are going to be a lot more surprises after this hunt if there weren't enough already.
>>
>>2461850
Well on the Manga's canon gantz sents the hunters to kill Kurono after the third hunt. Maybe if we screw up to much with the FBI and obviously the police watching over us Gantz will end up forcing the others to hunt us.
>>
>>2461907

>The more people in your group, the harder the hunts I will choose and vice versa.

So the group can grow even more? Man i kinda hope not the room gonna end up to full if that happens. But i guess it's expected a harder hunt means more points and more hunters may make the hunts easier.

What suggestion anon? What are you talking about?

Was it the anon with the masks and first aid kits?
>>
>>2463704
This one.

For better or worst, here is my list of ideas I wanted to share since I started reading from the first thread:

>Buy gas mask. Who knows when we might fight more air borne threats (options to only cover mouth or entire face?)
>Buy Emergency Kits. Though, I think the suits help with staunching blood loss?
>Acquire drugs like morphine and adrenaline. Actually make not. You could get addicted, unless the, 'you return from every hunt as you were nullified addiction.
>Clean appartment some more? Maybe there is stuff that can be packed away so moving day goes more smoothly? After the hunt that is.
>"If Dante gets kicked out, should we offer to be roommates?" Old idea, but not all too viable now that we're close to resurrecting Chris and Erick is sharing the appartment with GF.
>idle thought: does Chris have any medical history? Any disorders? Autism? ADHD? Something to ask Dante afterwards for trying to make Chris more cooperative?
>Buy lots of Frozen fruits, fresh fruits and veggies, protein (whey) powder, meat, multi-vitamins. Healthy food. I figured the slightest edge could help?
>Do you keep your points if you're resurrected? Like, if you had 99 points, you die, someone brings you back to life. Do you still get to keep your points?
>Work injury compensation for the box think hitting Erick. A little late but wanted to mention it.
>Befriend Ulrich and learn about what he does forca living and why he's so busy? Dont want to commit until his baby girl is out of the game.
>Make a memo / power point / lecture or something for new people that can fit in the sma span of time we get before being teleported to Gantz and getting geared up, make sure to always update it. It should consist of: weapon types, handling, abilities. Suit capabilities. Rules of no sharing info of Gantz, the points system, upgrades. History on alien encounters and learning from mistakes. Managing everyone's free time, potentially splitting training days into two or more separate groups so less conflicting schedules.
>Make sure our sensei doesn't read our mind or else she might get sucked into Gantz. (What was her real and fake name again?)
>Teach Paula and Dante mind powers after the hunt is over? Has anyone considered the possibility of using the powers during the hunt? I'm surprised no one brought it up after our outstanding session of barriers, kenesis and the like. And I'm glad I brought it up because it's gonna be really handy (bazinga) since one of Erick's arm is out of commission. Hopefully he can still use the heavy Y-gun eith the suits power.
>Metal Gear Revengance tier training? Mind power bullet stop/deflection like in the manga, using suit to run up or down buildings, sparring. Actually, those partially probably falls under the psychic powers, while the rest can go to the suit?
>Pastebin for all skill levels? (beginner, intermediate, skilled, etc.)

-drugs: morphine, adrenaline (dependent if the suit can stop blood loose), experimental (combat) drugs (hey who knows. It's not like anyone is going to suffer any permanent effects)

The suit is able to stop bleeding although it doesn't seem to stop small points like we saw with Miranda and the angel. Only lost limbs.

>lots of those healthy childrens shakes for Yukino

Only with her dad's permission

We could just use cheap phones and earpieces for that buy one of those cellphone holsters people usualy use to hear music from their phones while running.
>>

I, for one, feel that it would be in everyone's best interest if Chris was to wear a maid outfit
>>
>>2467899
>The suit is able to stop bleeding

They most certainly do not stop bleeding. When we got our legs cut off, we were bleeding out profusely and almost died. Same thing with Miranda and Paula's injuries in the church.

If you're referring to the time Dante got his arm blown off by Carol, he didn't bleed out because the X-Gun hit him. It's a thing in the manga where the weapons don't cause bleeding or cauterize cells where they hit, and I think it's the same thing here.

>We could just use cheap phones and earpieces

How many times do we need to go over this guys? Gantz fucks up the signal of anything that enters the hunting ground. We've already seen this with Paula's radio.
>>

>When we got our legs cut off, we were bleeding out profusely and almost died. Same thing with Miranda and Paula's injuries in the church.
I remember now! Back in the anime they used the X-guns to some how cauteries or stop the bleeding. Some messy shot that was.

>Gantz fucks up the signal of anything that enters the hunting ground. We've already seen this with Paula's radio.
Well fuck I forgot about that. I guess we do have to get those ungrades for thw scanners.
>>
>>2467920
Pretty sure it blocks things going to and from the hunt area.
Should still function to radio someone in the same area.
>>
>>2467967
That's only with signals or devices already in the are unfortunately. This was the case with the transceivers we found in the pier during the first hunt. As for any electronic devices that come in from the outside, Gantz prevents their signals or the device themselves from working.

The only inconsistency is the fire alarm in the second hunt alerting the police, as I am not sure how that one works.

>>2467981
I'll believe that when it gets explicitly stated by the QM

You guys think it's still possible to get everyone to do group training ALL on the same day. Or should we split into two separate groups? Or should we figure out everyone's schedule so we can have stuff planned out for the week? Does anyone remember Erick's schedule?
>>
>>2468017
You forgot Army-bro (Kurtis)

>Or should we split into two separate groups?

I would say we split because between our nightshifts and taking care of Yukino plus the waifu having her on work getting in the way things might get difficult. And that is not including the FBI investigation that is about to start.

>Or should we figure out everyone's schedule so we can have stuff planned out for the week?

That would require anons to really focus on the quest.

>Does anyone remember Erick's schedule?

Someone should probably look into that.
>>
>>2468017
I'm pretty sure that Claire and Silvia are white. Also, you missed Kurtis.

Personally, I don't think that's a bad idea. Splitting up may not be a bad idea, but we would need to place someone we trust as the head of a sub-group. As for Erick's schedule...I am not sure actually...
>>
>>2468037
Lies! They are sexy Latino chicks.

Possibly two groups of six or three groups of four. Scheduling ALL of this is going to be tricky.

Erick: has work. Schedule varies.
Paula: police officer. Same problems but mostly have afternoons and evening off some days.
Dante: has college classes in the morning or something.
Carol: high school, no busy in the morning and afternoon. Will also need time for homework and projects.
Tanjeet: college and prepping for medical exams.
Yukino: elementary or middle school? Busy as is Carol but no issue with homework because she's a smart cookie. I think we "babysit" her on Mondays, Wednsdays and Fridays from the afternoon to night, until the dad comes home or over night. I think she could skip a grade if she wanted to, maybe even a scholarship?
Kurtis: Not sure. Was he KIA or died as a civilian? Whatever the case is I think thing's might be tricky for him. Hopefully he has a place to crash, a lot of cash and plenty of spare time to train with the Gantz equipment to make up for the time.
Claire, Silvia, Maria: schedule is to be determined. We know that they are in college. I think they said they were majoring in law? (I think we might owe them an apology)
Allie: I'm not even sure. She's a freelance reporter or something, so it probably varies. What I do know is she excels in stealth, so a radar would suit her, and it would be up to her to choose her loadout.
Chris: he's sixteen so I guess high school and similar time issues like Carol and Yukino? That's assuming he doesn't skip out on class or something.

We have a lot of work to do. The school time group and the morning group?

>>2468107
>>2468382
Well, I do agree with the schedule well enough. Hell, I'd go as far and say that we should have our own ranking system in the team with the amount of members we have now.

Assign each group a captain, and specialize them depending on loadout and their natural abilities. This will help to cover up for their natural weaknesses as well as offer up more chances to improve when we do training sessions.

Personally, I am of the opinion that the groups could be as follows.

Group 1 - Cpt. Erick, Allie, Kurtis, and Chris

This will be our main group, as it will allow us to maintain the best cohesion with Kurtis on long range, Allie in defense, and Chris alongside us so he doesn't fuck up again.

Group 2 - Cpt. Paula, and the three thots

Paula already has a degree of trust with Maria better than the other group, if you guys checked the pastebin. And whoever Maria trusts, the other two girls are probably going to trust as well.

Group 3 - Cpt. Dante, Yukino, Tanjeet, and Carol

Dante's is strong and stealthy, while the other three can be powerful spotters or cleaners when they start hunting. Plus it keep Chris the hell away from Carol, so that's enough of an excuse for this group.
>>
>>2468361

We can survive a death game AND feminize a little bitch at the same time!
>>
>>2468403
Maybe keep it a little more civilian for now? Our group isn't that big yet. We could change the captain part to group leader.

So guys. I remembered that the Gantz suits had one handed weapon holsters on each thigh. Were those the only holsters, or were there more? Like was there one on the back for heavy and two handed weapons?

For the holsters should we make sure everyone is properly armed? Make sure they fill they three weapon slots? Dual x guns, dual y guns, or one of each?

If we want to commically carry weapons, should we attack straps to them?

If we for your group of four training: when we're out on hunts doing shit, at least one person in each group should have someone with a sensor. Yeah, it's a no brainer, but you can never be too careful.

To be completely fair, Erick didn't have a breakdown over the first two guys that died in the first hunt either. It only seems to be with people that were attached to him in some way like Kurtis.

Though, all things considered, there haven't been that many deaths in the game yet.

Anyone know what is Erick's new salary?

$17 per hour, for 40 hours per week.

And for further clarity, his schedule is set up for Morning shifts for the weekend into Monday, and night shifts from Tuesday into Friday.

Man...that fucks up with our gantz trainning...but that's better then getting teleported during work.

For the sake of posterity here, you guys chose the schedule to favor the mornings for this time. He does get 2 off days in the week, so he's not working all 7 days here. Good thing about it though, you only need to call in to work the day before you call in for a free day.

The perks of being a Floor Manager.

Also, last post from me in this thread.

Planning to do an 'OVA' thread to test out a new system for the quest. Though, this will be done after Sunday's session.

Only $17 an hour as a manager? In New York? That stinks yo.

Nothing stopping us or others to train on their spare time if they can help it. And if they can't mold their schedules for group training.
