You are Brett Casey, Operative of Proxima Aquarii Federation, 2nd squadron special forces.

After the disappearance of your friends Alex, the ace and Levi the mech mechanic, the Federation has tasked you to investigate a nearby dominion world, to determine if they have a new weapon that can target Federation forces.

You are on a moon in Union territory, attempting to sabotage a fueling facility before you move on to planetside.

It appears there is very little in the way of cover, other than the facility's structure itself. Due to being on the moon, however, shadows are intense, allowing your mech to hide in them with ease. You move up on the depot facility.

Being a lunar facility, it doesn't seem to be fielding defense mechs, Nobody really expects a lunar fuel site to be attacked next to a hi-population world, after all.

The pirate cruiser lands nearby, your escape route. your mech is too big to enter, but ou've hidden it well, you can go on foot.

Upon entering the airlock, your suit sensors pick up the following information.

-You are on Floor 1. The facility has 3.
-There are 10 lifesigns: 1 commander, 3 mechanics, 1 doctor, and 5 guards, you presume, based on movements. Most of the mechanic lifesigns are in the cargo access. The guards are patrolling, with 2 on this floor, and two in the barracks. the third seems to be wandering about upstairs. The doctor and commander are each on different levels above you.

Your optic camouflage is on, since you just used an airlock to get in. Union guards are not given any degree of freedom in their routes, so disguising yourself as one is liable to set off an alert.

You are nestled between two rooms, either storage or machinery lies within, but the layout of this facility is hard to make out with your goggles.

if there is anyway we can check what direction, check and see if the guard with the darker marker is facing our direction, if he is enter the unmarked room below him, if he isn't stealth up behind him, and if we can't just enter the room below him

You watch the paths of the guards and determine the room on your left is the best option.

You end up in a room with several crates and barrels. The barrels appear to be fresh water for the station. The crates you aren't sure about what they might contain. there are roughly seven of them, made of plastic and water-proofed.

Considering how important water is overall, this storage room might contain replaceable objects of value.

mentally note this room to potentaily loot it on the way out if things go well.

look into the crates if possible, then replace the lids.

Dont touch them yet, unless we can reseal it without it looking like it has been opened already
After that, try to check the bottom right room at the door placed on it

You pry open the boxes... the most important finding being a keycard of a high-ranking government official. You have no clue how it ended up here, but this will be useful in union space.

You also find three data storage devices... blueprints or files, but regardless, important.

And the last box was empty, but had an alarm. All the guards are now aware of an intruder in the base. You quickly move out of the room before they enter it.

>what do you do now?

check the room directly north, hide in it if needed, then check east.

You head to the room to the north. It is apparently the main reactor of the station. It is a standard fission reactor with internal failsafes to prevent meltdowns. Something common for outposts. Other than that, there are reinforcing posts in this room.

You could monitor the reactor or turn it off, but that would alert the station, and the solars are liable to keep the oxygen in the rooms.

so, trigger afalse alarm instead?
>>

>>2641779
This won't delay them. They're grunts not mechanics, they're just gonna go on high alert. We should keep stealing stuff and slip out. We don't actually have any explosives or traps.

I've been reading through the last thread and this is literally a massive waste of our time. We've gotten some loot. We should just leave.
>>
>>2642212
Actually, our pirate is currently refueling. so we need to hack into the databanks and scrub their system of that, and then we can leave.

You quickly sneak to the room across the hallway, moving through two doorways to enter it.

Before you stands a massive array of computing software, a hyperspace uplink to the Union communications network. A terminal nearby shows information.

You access the terminal, hunting for passcodes that can be granted to ships, usually for ahigh fee, but as this planet has a spaceport, you have access to their military vessel code distribution.

>Neutral trade ship passcode directory
>Union military vessel passcode directory

In addition, the station's fuel allotment and charges are available for you to modify. You can see the charge on the pirate vessel too. Possibly you could list it as being on government business to waive all fuel charges?

However you managed to set the ship as a government vessel of great importance. The ship now is no longer being charged for gathering fuel, and the max allowance was removed.

Hopefully that extra fuel would allow us to burn faster to our objective?
