[Oh shit, I’m not dead.]Previous threads http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?searchall=Florida+Worm+QuestKnown capes https://pastebin.com/Ab6byGNKAfter such a close run-in with some supervillains, you decide that discretion is is the better part of valor and keep your head down for the rest of the week, spending your time getting prepared for the upcoming school year and hanging out with your dad and sister when they’re free. Monday comes much sooner than you’d like.Dad drops you and Beth off down the street, “to spare your dignity.” With a quick hug, he leaves you to your fate. With nothing better to do, the two of you head in, splitting up at the door for your respective homerooms. What follows goes better than expected; the first day of classes is fairly laid-back, mostly the teachers introducing themselves and discussing what you’ll be covering. No one singles you out as the “new guy” like they would if you started in the middle of the year, and after the morning classes you can recognize several other students you share multiple periods with. Now comes the hard part: the social microcosm that is the cafeteria. Groups have already formed around the cliques and social hierarchy and you have no idea where you fit into it. You can see several of your classmates joining friends or cliques - the band geeks, the various sports teams, even the few weirdos grouped together. You overhear several cape related conversations: favorite heroes are being thrown around and at least three heated arguments about the new Ward, Shiva. On the other side of the room, your sister is being talked at by an enthusiastic upperclassman, arms flailing wildly as he speaks. She seems annoyed, but at least slightly amused, as if used to him.>Your sister>Try to fit in with a group (specify)>Join in on one of the cape discussions>Find someone you recognize

Rolled 1 (1d2)>>2668817>>2668919Tiebreaker, 1 for a classmate, 2 for your sister.
>>2668984Despite how much you like your sister, you’d rather get some friends of your own. Mind made up, you spot someone you spoke briefly with in a few of your classes engaged in conversation with another boy. Steeling your resolve, you wander over to their table. “Colin, right? Mind if I sit here?” He waves you in, introducing you to his friend, Brandon. Talk quickly resumes, and you find yourself drawn in when discussion turns to movies. While you appreciate the art of film, you’re outclassed by Brandon, who is an absolute fanatic. Lunch passes almost unnoticed while you talk, and you make tentative plans to meet for lunch again tomorrow. Buoyed by the prospect of making friends so quickly, the rest of the school day seems to go by in a flash. Eventually, the final bell rings and you make small talk with Colin as you wait for your rides home.Dad is excited to hear about your first day, practically beaming to hear that you’ve made some friends much to your embarrassment. As the car pulls away, you question where Beth is. “Her,” he pauses, “college prep course meets after school a few days a week. They’ve arranged for rides home after it ends.” The topic swings back around to how your day went, and you let the matter drop. After dinner, you are left to your own devices. The costume you have shoved in the back of your closet is in the forefront of your mind - what’s the point of having superpowers if you don’t use them? Sure there’s some risk involved, as last week showed, but you’ve been checking the news and cape websites and nothing seemed to have come from your short encounter in the woods.>Look for trouble>Start some trouble>Mess around with clones some more>Wait for your sister, something seems suspicious>Screw it all, you have school in the morning[Since the thread is so slow, I’ll leave this for now and check back tomorrow in hopes of more traffic.]

>>2669134Oh shit you're alive, it's been like months.>Wait for your sister
Rolled 1 (1d2)Doing another tiebreaker, 1 for clone practice, 2 for talking to your sister. It'll probably get posted later today.>>2669141Last thread you bought a bunch of cheap masks and a trenchcoat.>>2669466As it turns out, changing your availability at work and joining a second irl tabletop game will ruin your free time.
>>2669586You spend the next couple hours locked in your room, practicing making clones and dismissing them as quickly as possible, in as many different positions and scenarios you can think of. When you do make your big cape debut, you’d rather not look like an idiot. As much as you can when your clones are all naked at least. All the while, you come up with rudimentary battle plans and tactics for sticky situations. Most of them involve spawning a mass of clones and bum-rushing opponents, which leads you to wonder how many you can make. You almost instantly regret trying that indoors when every available surface is suddenly filled with bodies. The mental tally shoots up into the hundreds, and the room is uncomfortably warm. Fortunately, the mass of people stops anything from dropping to the floor, but just the sound of so many heartbeats and breaths in an enclosed space is astounding. Quickly, you start dispelling clones as soon as you touch them just to free up space. When you’re about done, a gentle knock on the door sounds. “Everything ok in there, son? I thought I heard something.” You reassure him you’re fine, just knocked over some books. He lets you know that it’s time for bed, and that your sister called and is on her way home. You let out a sigh of relief when you his footsteps fade; he bought it this time, but that could have gone a lot worse. As you finish getting ready for bed, you hear the front door close.>Talk to your sister (write in)>Forget it and go to sleep[Sorry for the long wait. Next day I can run will be Wednesday at the earliest, but I’ll try and do quick updates if I have time]

>>2672121Changing to this.
>>2671792You can roll to break a tie man.
>>2671792Eager to see if your sister will be more forthcoming about all this sneaking around, you silently creep out to the living room, pausing only to make a clone with strict orders to not be seen. Beth is facedown on the couch groaning in contentment. A quick wave to your double sends it into the kitchen while you sneak up to your sister. “So how was tutoring?” Your laughter at her undignified flailing cuts off at her gasp of pain. You’re by her side in a second, babbling apologies. She waves you off, “It’s fine, just landed on a bruise.” As you help her up, a glimpse of bandaging peeks through her sleeve. “Tutoring seems way more intense than I remember it being.” The dry remark causes her face to flush and her eyes turn down. Over her shoulder, your clone flashes you a thumbs up as it sneaks back to your room. “Would you believe me if I said I tripped?” she mumbles. Your answer is cut off by the microwave beeping. You gently push her to the kitchen and set out the leftovers your clone set to heat for her. As she thanks you and gratefully digs in, you settle into a chair and wait. It doesn’t take long; you haven’t seen her inhale food like this since her short stint on the volleyball team. Just as she finishes, you go in for the kill. “Are you in trouble, should I call the police?” Her near-perfect spit take would be hilarious if you weren’t genuinely worried for her safety. “What? No! Dad knows everything, I just didn’t want you to worry.” If that’s what she was going for, she didn’t do a good job of it. She flinches away uncomfortably when you tell her so. “Please, just drop it. I’ll… I promise I’ll tell you when you’re older.” Her eyes are pleading.>Demand to know what’s going on, you’re an adult>Fine, no more questions>Guess (write-in)>Something else[Sorry for the delay, my tabletop group actually ran something for once. I’ll be free to update most of today.]
>>2686060>Demand to know what’s going on, you’re an adult.Be concerned but try to be funny about it? Quote some movies like a chump. "If your in trouble, I'll have you know I have a very particular set of skills."
>>2686060You pull Beth into a hug. “Just tell me who or what is bothering you so I can help you deal with it.” You pull back with a lopsided grin, “after all, I have a particular set of skills. Skills that I’ve built up over a long life that make me a nightmare for people like them.” Instead of lightening the mood, your cheesy one-liner just makes her sigh. When she looks up, her eyes are full of steel. “This is exactly why I didn’t tell you. If you want to be treated like an adult, you need to act like one, Michael.” You flinch back as if slapped; she almost never uses your full name. Her expression softens and she pulls you back in for another hug. “I know you just want to help, but you are seriously misunderstanding the situation. And besides,” she adds, slightly misty eyed, “I’m the big sister, and that means I look after you, not the other way around. Now go to bed, it’s late and you have school in the morning.” You’ve learned by now not to argue when she goes mom mode like this so you trudge back to your room, dismiss your clone, and fall into bed.Breakfast is awkward to say the least. You and Beth don’t quite meet each others’ eyes, too embarrassed under Dad’s disapproving glances. He tells you that while he’s glad you want to help your sister, you should respect her decisions and her privacy. With those final words, you are left in front of school. Beth tells you she’ll be home late again tonight and not to wait up for her, walking away before you have a chance to reply. The second day of class isn’t too different from the first: the classes don’t cover anything difficult, you spend your lunch with Colin and Brandon talking about upcoming releases, and you wait outside for your dad to pick you up when it’s over. You get a text saying he’s running a bit late and he’ll be heading back into work when he drops you off so you’ll have the house to yourself.>See if Colin and Brandon want to hang out>Do cape things>Order a pizza and watch TV>Other[Also, somebody roll 1d20.]

Rolled 7 (1d20)>>2686326
>>2686326>>2687044You ask your dad if he can drop you off at the mall instead, saying you want to hang out with some friends. After some haggling and making sure you know the way back to the house, he drops you off with 30 dollars. You had hoped for a bit more, but without telling him what you’re going to be spending it on there’s little chance of that happening. After waving goodbye, you wander through the stores wondering how to best use your limited budget. You already have a stack of cheap masks in the back of your closet to hide your faces, but the freeballing might be a problem in the future. If only your clones weren’t so naked. You’re in the middle of weighing pros and cons of just carrying around packs of underwear when someone steps into your personal space. It’s a tall boy, in his late teens if you had to guess, with bright red hair, and you feel distinctly uncomfortable when this stranger throws an arm around your shoulder. “There you are! I’ve been looking all over for you.” His Irish accent is thick but not unintelligible. You begin to reply that he must be mistaken but are cut off when he pulls you closer. “The boss was mighty pissed when you interrupted our meeting last week. Luckily for you, I talked him down from doing anything too extreme about it.” Last week? The only thing you did then was go to the woods to… oh. The villains. He must see the recognition in your eyes, as he grins and begins to lead you out of the store. “Good boy. Now you and I are going on a little drive to meet the boss. Don’t you worry, he don’t bite.” He grimaces. “Much.”>Run>Go with>Hit him>Something else
>>2687717>HIT HIM IN DA DIIIIIICKThe run into the nearest Victoria's secret, grab whatever you can and a shit load of panties, it will have to do.

>>2687874We have a stack of cheap mask in our closet but did we bring any with us? Or enough to give to a small army? Also, once panties are secure, dive for the changing room.
>>2687717>Go withI was gonna go with hitting him but honestly I think we would go farther as a shit tier villain. We can either get our clones to work a bunch of jobs or be a force multiplier for hire by villains. Need some numbers for a heist? Come to us.We could also be a terrorist against the government but unless our sisters getting fucked over by the prt as an unwilling undercover agent then I don't think anyone's gonna go for that.
>>2687793>>2687936[Normally I'd do a roll for the tiebreaker, but this is a really big decision that could have big consequences either way and I don't want to leave it to chance. I'll come back in an hour or so and roll it then if no one else votes or changes their mind.]

>>2688263Darn, ok, where does this go?
Fish QM, speaking from experience here, might be a good idea to make another thread. People tend to stop posting in threads past page 6 unless OP has been posting for days in a row.
>>2687936You allow yourself to be led outside and into the seat of a beat up old car while your captor makes meaningless small talk at you. If he’s going to talk constantly, you might as well get some actual information out of him. “So how did you find me?” You keep your eyes on the windows, trying to keep track of where he’s taking you. “Right pain in the arse that was - all we had to go on was what you looked like and your scent.” The second part throws you off and he laughs at your unasked question. “That part the boss worked on. His freak monster tracked you to a bus station before it lost you. I would’ve dropped it there, but boss is mad about his privacy; took me damn near three days to convince him to search all quiet like instead of busting down doors. Figured a handsome young man like yourself would be in school, so we snuck in to a bunch of ‘em til it caught a whiff. Rest was easy, just had to stick around until I could tail you.”Any other questions are lost when he pulls the car onto a dirt road leading into the forest you saw him in last week, stopping at what looks like a deserted lumberyard. As he leads you to a dilapidated building, he gives you a serious look - the first one this whole kidnapping - and warns you: no matter what, don’t run. “I talked him down from killing you, there’s lines I won’t cross. But the boss is on a hair trigger right now, not to mention his pets, and if you make him mad I won’t be able to stop them.” With that cold comfort you step through the door. The first thing you notice is the smell. Fresh blood mingles with rotting meat and animal musk as you struggle not to vomit. Only after you fight down the nausea can you focus enough to see the unnamed villain, arm buried elbow deep in the guts of a writhing crocodile. He’s covered head to toe in a chitinous exoskeleton, half formed insect limbs dotted randomly along his sides and back, some still twitching. “You found the intruder. Leave, thief.” The other boy hesitates only a moment before leaving you alone with this nightmare. “The thief tells me that the authorities with grant me no quarter if I kill a child. I care not if I have their mercy, but my plans require more time and resources.” Your breath catches as he looms over you. “So tell me, intruder. What do you have to offer me?”>Say you’ll work for him>Try to convince him you’re harmless and you’ll never tell anyone>Something else
