> “Wont you be arrested if we go to Riverrun?”

“Nah, we are not going into town. The guards hog the walls. They rarely leave.”

Let’s hope that’s the case

> “This dagger of yours, it’s covered in poison”

He looks over at you, then back at the road. It takes a few seconds before he answers.

“You know, sometimes an opponent won’t go down, no matter how many times you slice and stab them.”

He looks devoid of emotion.

“When that happens, you need a little extra.”

Before you can ask further, he changes topic.

“My uncle is a bit, weird. Whatever he does, just play along. It won’t be too bad, I promise.”

You ask him in what way he is weird. He opens and closes his mouth, clearly struggling to answer.

He repeats this a few times, then tries explaining.

“He has these weird and crazy ideas. He once wanted to travel far away, and build a house on the very top of a mountain!”

He trails off, talking in length about his uncle. Everything from building a bridge from Riverrun to heaven, becoming a renowned cheeselock, and starting a religion devoted to a tree in his backyard.

The common theme for these stories: They were impossible to do, and stopped before there ever came anything off it.

> “Got any lead on how to make money without robbing people? Maybe some quests?”

“Other than the bounty on my head, I don’t really know.”

He walks a little slower while he thinks. He then snaps his fingers

“Oh yeah, they need more guards in Riverrun. You seem capable enough, should you ever try for a job there.”

Not many quests then. You could probably ask someone in town, maybe even his uncle.

Before you know whats up, he dashes behind a nearby tree.

“There is a guard coming, act natural!”
