General rules:

There is a 10 minute voting period after each post. Non-contradictory votes will be combined as best as possible.
Write-ins for all votes are always welcome and encouraged. They may not all make it into the post or be altered to fit in, but I'll do my best to at least try to address the spirit of the write-in.

Very important or contentious votes may be redone in a stricter voting system as circumstances warrant.

Combat mechanics involve three rolls of 1d100, taking the best, and using the base accuracy and crit ranges of the the PTU system, roughly, but the 'turn order' will be more like the anime, where sometimes you can do a few moves in a row or be hit by a combo of moves yourself, all depending on circumstances. Stronger moves tend to take more time and have more cooldown than weaker moves and also may leave you open to an interrupt, so beware of that timing. Speed is more important for closing ground, intercepting, and other things and doesn't necessarily mean going first.

Pokemon and trainers are unique, and may have certain specializations, skills, or other things that the video-game mechanics might not allow. Some examples: That kung fu Bellsprout in the anime, that crystal Onix, or a Roggenrolla that can fly. Herb's perception skills, pokemon knowledge, context clues in general, and other things will hopefully come into play to avoid completely unfair, unforeseeable bullshit, but expect more bullshit from more advanced trainers.

Call me out on a mistake and receive a suggestive picture, mostly likely a butt.

Pokemon:
Gobble (Munchlax)
Mace (Roggenrola)
Belladonna (Roserade)
Dice (Croconaw)
Sorbet (Vulpix)

Location: Akaneki, camping outside the Fighting Temple. Also in a dreamscape inside of Keira.

Recently: You (eventually) turned down a challenge at the temple against Max, then engaged in aura mixing with Keira, Hana, and Laki.

[Hello! Hope everyone is doing well. I just learned that I'm actually working early tomorrow morning so once again this may end up being a short one. I am in a bit of a mood about what looks like a pattern of last minute schedule changes and other annoyances, so if I'm short with anyone or anything, I'm sorry about that.

On the plus side, we're exploring Keira's anger, so let's dive in!]

You crouch down and produce your pan, carefully balancing it on top of the volcano. This will cook nicely.

“What are you doing?” The tiny Keira demands to know.

“I thought you could use a meal.”

“I could.” She agrees introspectively for a moment, before turn her head back up to you in anger. “That sounds just like you. Getting involved, changing things, and it somehow just working out for you no matter what. You think I won’t grow big enough to harm you. You’re wrong.” She threatens. “You can’t trust anger. It can fly out in any direction. Especially at someone who thinks they’re helping.”

“Why are you telling me this?”

Her eyes narrow in frustration. “Anger is very honest.” There’s a bubbling hatred emanating from her that scares you a little, but something else there as well. A distance sadness, maybe?

“Maybe you have some things you need to get out, then. A meal might do you some good.” You say. Somewhere in the back of your head you wonder if you’re projecting a little, or if this is a good idea. You’ve always had issues expressing your anger, or really being in touch with it. You don’t get angry often, but it’s not like you’re incapable of it. You’re just always trying your best to avoid letting it boil over. But maybe that’s not the healthiest option all the time. Maybe she, and you, need to be a little more open about your anger. It’s not inherently bad as an emotion, is it? Didn’t grandpa get angry when he saw injustices? Or is this all just a bad idea and you’re overthinking it?

You push your mind over to your food options.

“Where do you get off?” She says between chews. You’d be lying if you said that hearing the hints of satisfaction in her voice that leak out didn’t thrill you. She’s also stuffing her face. “Just disrupting everything? Getting involved? Being so carefree in where you go and never having it come back at you? Do you know how unfair that is?” She bites off a particularly large bite. “I hate how much you take it for granted!”

“You’re mad at me because you think I’m living a carefree life?”

“Not just that!” She sounds offended at the summary, like she thinks it’s too petty. “You’re doing it while advancing your aura ability. You’re doing it while making a big impression. You’re....doing my role better than me. Everyone looks to you as the one wise beyond their years.”

They do? Really?”

She grows in size as she eats “Everyone thinks you’re nice, and that you have things figured out. But you don’t! You’re just playing it by eye.”

“By ear?”

“WHATEVER! YES! THAT!” She angrily chews. “And you get everything! Pokemon you know how to train. Mates who are crazy about you. Shards and the respect of all the elders. You know that part of that is just because they have low expectations from a mainlander, right?”

Okay, that hurts a little.

“And another thing, besides my obvious jealousy that I feel is still justified!” She says after swallowing. She sure is honest. “That monk was a jerk! We could have had a better conversation. He knew so much. But when he ran into things he couldn’t explain, he just kept hiding behind platitudes and proverbs without any substance! It’s frustrating! That’s not what an elder should be like! They preach to us that we need to be honest, and what do they do?” She chews another big bite. The volcano behind her is growing too. It’s big enough that you no longer need to kneel to adjust your pan on it. “And it’s always too hot out and everyone becomes doesn’t approve if I want to be naked! It wasn’t like that a few generations ago! And I stubbed my toe the other day! And, and...” she seems to be unable to go any farther. The energy and growth she’s gotten has peaked. She stands about half as tall as you, and the volcano needs you to stand up to reach the top.

“The only reason I've been able to do all these things you want is because my friends have been there to support me, to help me grow. Be honest with what you want, just like your anger, and we can help you grow too!”

She looks touched, but only for a moment. Her eyes turn narrow again and she takes on an aggressive stance. A stance to maximize the power of her shouts,

“YOU WANT HONESTY? YOU WANT REAL ANGER? HOW’S THIS?” The volcano smokes and bubbles behind her. “I NEVER GOT TO BE NORMAL!” Her scream echoes out. “While kids like you were doing...whatever you do, I was treating the dead. I dressed the dead. I prepared them for the next world. And that, as bad as that was, wasn’t as bad as the soon-to-be-dead. I wanted to help and be advanced and everything I was told was good, so I helped console those dying. They just dumped all their regrets on me. I didn't know what to do! I never knew what to do!” Tears stream down her angry face. “And yes, maybe it’s naive for me to expect everyone in the clergy to be perfect. I get that everyone has flaws. But...why doesn’t the protector recognize me? Haven’t I dedicated my life to this?” She turns and punches a stone, shattering it. You’ve never seen Keira act like that. “I’ve sacrificed so much. I keep strict diets for all the seasons. I never miss a prayer. I never let something go unblessed.” She grits her teeth. “And I thought the vow of celibacy would be easy, but that was before all these stupid!” She kicks at the air in front of you. “Raging!” She kicks again, this time getting your shin. “Hormones!” This time she punches your shoulder. That hurt, somehow. “And you and your...ways. You get to indulge in EVERYTHING! And what do I get? No love from a family. No love from a lover. No love from my patron God!” The volcano’s smoke turns ashy, and sparks begin to form in the clouds. It hasn’t erupted yet, but it looks like it has a lot of pressure built up.

“Okay. I agree. You have a lot of justified reasons to be jealous. I-”

“STOP IT!” She pushes you. “Stop being so reasonable! Stop...being so perfect!” The ground around the volcano rumbles.

“I’m not.”

“What makes you angry, then? What are you frustrated about? Are things just too easy when it comes to knowing how to handle your pokemon? Are two girls not enough? Is your hair not perfect? I have anger that’s justified and needs to be kept small. You have no reason to be angry! You don’t know what it’s like!”

This side of her can be a little hurtful. You know you should expect that, but still.

We don't know what it's like specifically but Herb's had his own share of shit he had to deal with. His mom had a gambling problem that almost split the family. I can't remember but if I recall his dad got up to some less than stellar stuff. His whole life was uprooted for his mom's job and will uproot his new life once it's time to leave.

Herb is familiar with the struggle.

You’ve had plenty of problems and frustrations. Moments and situations of anger. You’ve suffered injustices and difficulties. But not the ones she has. “You’re right. I don’t know what it’s like.”

“Well! That’s... not very satisfying!” The anger fades a bit. “Feed me more you bastard!”

Hearing that come out of Keira’s mouth feels so strange. You let that go and put a hand on her slender shoulder. “But I am frustrated too. I wish I could do more than just listen. I’m frustrated that I know these things have hurt you, but they also helped form you into the person I know I love. It’s very conflicting.”

The wind is out of her sails now. “So...so am I. I just. Ugh!” She climbs the roughly six foot tall volcano, standing over the edge. “I have a lot of think about. Go away.”

“Are you sure? I cou-”

“GO AWAY!” Her eyes become flames and her voice takes on a deep, threatening echo.

Your power here is fading. You feel a slight pull back to your body. The weight of your aura mixing exercise is shifting, and you’re going to end up spilling into somewhere or someone else soon.

You decide that rather than fight it, you let yourself get washed away in the pull. The four of you are like big containers, and your auras are a liquid, pouring into each of the containers depending on how you lean together.

Since you’re leaving under your own power, you have a lot more control over where you land. You also get the sense that you’ve gotten a nice boost of energy somehow. Landing back at yourself would mean being really charged when you wake up tomorrow. But at the same time, splashing down softly in Hana or Laki wouldn’t take that much. Probably.

You feel the soft pull, like a rubber cord with only a little bit of stretch. It takes very little effort to steer your way into Hana’s container. Or you suppose, her body.

In a big white whoosh, you’re there. You blink a few times before you adjust.

It’s not like Keira’s inner self at all. You’re inside of a big building. Large corridors with shiny floors stretch every which way, and doors dot the white walls.

“Hello?” You ask. Your voice just echoes back.

A distant form that you just barely notice out of the corner of your eyes vanishes around the corner. It looked like it was watching you.

You glance around the different hallways to get your bearings. The layout here is a mess. It has a very hospital-like feeling, but it’s not entirely one. It’s like a few different buildings got fused together.

You look up at a “you are here” map and try to make sense of it. The lights flicker once in awhile. Not like in a horror movie, but not in a good way either. And the ventilation system is a bt noisy.

This is going to be more difficult to navigate. Things aren’t as clear and open as Keira.

“Hey.” You say softly but urgently as you follow the figure. “Wait up. I just want to talk.”

The figure stops running. But she does keep her distance and has one foot in another corridor. She’s also got a little mop and cleaning supplies on a cart. “Oh. Umm, sorry. I didn’t think you’d see me.”

“Hana?” You ask.

“That’s my name, don’t wear it out.” She nervously jokes and plays with her hair. “But I’m not totally Hana. I’m just the part of her that cleans up. She doesn’t like to risk exposing too much out here. Everything needs to be cleaned and put away into the right room.”

“Well, umm, it’s nice to meet you. Any part of Hana, really.” You say, walking a little closer.

She blows some of her hair covering her face. “We’ll see if you feel the same by the time you’re done here.” She says sarcastically. “Guess I’ll come with you. Yo shouldn’t walk around here unescorted.Umm, wow, that sounded ominous. That’s not a threat or anything creepy, it’s just got a weird layout. I mean, I’m sure you noticed, I just, yeah.” she gives up stumbling over her own words. “Opening some of these doors makes a mess in the hallway.” She moves behind the cart to push it. One of the wheels jams up a lot and she struggles with it a little.

“So, you mostly clean up? You ask.

She nods, picking up a key and dropping it into the wastebasket. “I’m a messy girl.”

Kind of a lot to unpack with Keira, but one thing we definitely should do is next time Rayquaza visits we should ask if there's something he can do to reassure her that he's listening.

Also might be a good idea to see if we can find any books from the mainland on religious schisms, famous theological arguments, religious history and so forth. People are still people wherever you are, so even though Loanah and its religion have their own circumstances it would still be worth it to see how others handled similar situations.

You reach out and hold her hand. “Let’s go to the cafeteria.”

“Oh. Oh! Heh. Well, okay.” She blushes and gets a little flustered. “I get why she likes you. Even has a little shrine room that- Hey!” she cuts herself off midsentence. “I just thought of something. We should switch hands. That hand gets all sweaty. I mean, I guess it’s probably better than the creepy degloved-Skywalker hand, but...ah what am I doing? Not my job to talk you out of being here. A tour will do that.” She gives a half-hearted exhalation of air to let you know that she’s joking. Mostly joking, anyway. “So yeah. Why the cafeteria?”

“Well, I was going to ask about where my stuff goes-”

“I can think of a few places.”

You continue. “But I figured the cafeteria would be a nice start for a tour and we could figure it out later.”

“Well, yeah. Sure. You know, I think Laki was just here. She wasn’t like you at all. Just sort of a vague fog. A feeling. You, you’re so...real. So solid.” She plucks a leaf from your shoulder. “Looks like you’ve been getting around though.” She places it in the wastebasket.

“Why do you need to clean up after yourself, anyway?” You ask.

Hana takes her hand away. You worry for a second that you said something wrong, but she uses the hand to grab a map and clean up some goo leaking out of one of the nondescript rooms. “Got to keep it sanitary out here. People can see these halls.” She motions to the big open windows. There’s nothing out there except for some grass and trees and vague, empty buildings in all directions. “Privacy only exists behind locked doors. People could get sick or infected, or just grossed out.”

“Do you worry a lot about that sort of thing?”

“All the time. I’m the biggest budget item in this place. I’m not good at a lot, but I'm good at this, all things considered.” As you approach the cafeteria, the Janitor-Hana closes the drapes for the hallway window nearby. You just notice now that the drapes look like her hair. “Here we are.” She says. “I’ll wait out, but I might have to bail if there’s a mess.”

“You’re not coming in?”

She shakes her head. “I don’t like going there until night time. It clears out and I can clean in peace.” She squeezes your hand. “I can come in if you really want though. I don’t mind if it’ll make you happy.”

You look inside the cafeteria. You see all your shared friends and dozens of people you don’t recognize. All of them chatting with a different Hana. Each Hana has a costume on. None of them look relaxed, but they’re all trying their hardest to look it.

“Is that me?” You ask Janitor-Hana.

She wipes her hands on her janitor uniform. She looks pretty cute it in, despite it being a size too big. Or maybe that’s why. “Umm, yeah. Boy, that’s really embarrassing. Administration says you’re allowed to do whatever you want, but I really think letting you see that is a bad idea.”

“How come?”

She wipes her hand again. “I mean, you’re great and all, from everything I’ve seen, but even I don’t like seeing all the different costumes. None of them are honest. They’re all just different roles and acts I put on for each person. Including you. Doesn’t that bother you?”

You’re not really sure, but you are very curious. “Come in.” You say, offering your hand again. “I could use a guide.”

She scratches her cheek and hides her face. “Well, okay. But, please don’t get too upset if you don’t like it.”

You take her hand and walk in. The contact seems to relax her a little, which in turn relaxes you.

You’re making your way to the table with the spectral version of yourself, but first, you stop at the one with the hospital kids.

The Hana there is young. Maybe about twelve or so, but your guess. She’s wearing a fashionable sweater and hospital pants. Little clip-on earrings dangle as she gives a fake laugh to one of the hospital kids gossiping. The thing that really jumps out at you though, is that she’s in a wheelchair with no prosthetics. Besides that, the scarring on her face that you only barely notice under right lighting conditions is very visible here.

“When did you get your new limbs?” You ask Janitor Hana. It doesn’t seem like these cafeteria ones can see or hear anything outside of their table.

“Since forever. But I didn’t like to wear them then.”

“What changed?”

“I...didn’t like feeling helpless.”

The table erupts into more laughter. The young Hana looks more uncomfortable from that and puts on her mask, which is just her own face, but laughing. Her eyes keep darting to the television. You get the sense that she’d rather not be here.

“Hey.” You say, sitting down next to the young Hana. You plan to make your way around the room.

“Oh, hi.” She shyly adjusts her hair.

“I’m Herb. You don’t know me yet, but-”

“Oh no. I totally do.” She smiles. Huh. She actually let her hair get out of the way of her face. She’s smiling openly. “You’re my future boyfriend. And...wow. I do pretty well for myself in the future. I thought they were exaggerating. You’re cute! Very snappy dresser.”

This Hana is so open and outgoing!

The Janitor-Hana is making motions behind your back to this one. You can see it in the reflection on some glass. She’s trying to get the younger one to shut up.

“So, how’d I manage...you?” She asks, resting her chin on her hand. “Did I just get lucky or what?”

“Hana!” Janitor Hana says, trying to get her to be quiet.

“What? You guys never let me know anything. You don’t let me near the basement or anything.”

“Good. You can stay clean.” The janitor sorts her cleaning cart and grabs her spray bottle.

“You’re so obsessed with that! Come on. Let me have this.” The young Hana says as she skooches closer. “You guys are all shy and weird too. I that made it like, fifty times harder. And you don’t need to treat me like a kid. This is memories and self-reflection, not time travel. I’m just as old and mature as everyone else.” She touches your arm, testing for strength and size. “So, did we have a romantic first kiss? What was it like? Omigosh, was it under the moonlight after a fierce but playful pokemon battle? Were there flowers? Fireworks?”

Your mind falls back to that time you played truth or dare in the closet, and things got very lewd, very fast.

I mean, I would have wanted the romantic stuff too. Maybe she can yell at the other Hanas and help us get a chance? Hell, if she's really feeling playful, she can strong-arm them into giving *us* the flowers. That ought to make them squirm!
>>

>>Why was she so interested in the tv?
>>
>>2703127
Oh, and we should tell her a bit about why fell for her since she's interested in how she ended up with us.

Personally, I liked her resilience and willingness to help others. It's not easy or always a thankful job, but that doesn't change the fact that it needs to be done. Makes things better when everyone chips in.

“Oh, he looks like the romantic type. I bet it was the choice between you and some rich handsome snob who was actually a jerk, and we were going to get married, but you stopped it at the altar. Or did I meet you soon and we were like best friends forever until one day where everything changed and we shared a kiss after an adventure?”

“We, uhh, were playing truth or dare, and you and I were sent to a closet together.”

The young girl’s shoulders slump and she glances up at the Janitor-Hana with a ‘really?’ face.

“Hey, I just clean.” Janitor-Hana says.”But it’s not that bad. We wouldn’t have had the guts to go for it otherwise.”

“Wait, we kissed him?” The young one asks. “Did we get some guts implanted too?” She half-laughs. Her self-deprecating sense of humor seems like it was always there. “Go me. What else?”

“Well, you uh...” How do you explain it. “With your mouth, on me...”

“I...what? What did I do?” She scrunches her face. “Are you trying to say our first kiss was a make-out game in a closet and I blew you?”

You scratch behind your head. “I also did things to you.” Your finger absentmindedly moves a little in your other hand.

“Ew. I’m so gross! I mean, you’re cute and all, but that’s the worst first kiss story ever.” She doesn’t let that bother her too much. Her smile returns even if some of her enthusiasm is muted. “...So I don’t grow up to be classy. But I sound like I’m kick-butt-take-names assertive and take what I want without being so shy, so that’s pretty cool.”

Janitor-Hana looks very interested in adjusting her mop and chewing bubblegum. Looks like you’re going to be the one to do the talking.

I think our head looks like a warm campfire where Herb and all his friends are snuggled up together. And out in the cold dark night is the crying child that Herb thinks he'll turn into if he can't keep everyone close.
>>
>>2704218
>Visit herb, all warm loving etc.
>Try to leave. Herb becomes... Clingy.
>>
>>2704829
"Don't leave me, I don't want to be alone again."

I always saw Herb as being very isolated growing up, he was bullied and had a hard time making friends. The way I imagine it is Herb's family were his only friends with his Grandpa being both role-model and best friend. So, when Grandpa passed away it really rocked his world.
>>
>>2704836
So in his aura you would probably find his grandpa and a pretty good recreation of the Poke-daycare.

Now I want a bin of whoever was in Herb's aura. I imagine his father would be more bitter and distant because he had to give up his dream. It's hard to actually end up somewhere Herb doesn't want you to see because things gently nudge you away or loop back to the campfire or a kitchen.
>>
>>2704938
That or Herb's busy trying to help you while things are deteriorating in the background.
>>
>>2704836
Doesn't he have a sister who likes messing with him and a brother who looks up to him?
>>
>>2704966
His brother is super super young and we're not fully aware of the dynamic with this sister. I'd wager spent time caring for his siblings. Granted I could be blowing his mom's gambling problem out of proportion.
>>
>>2704966
His sister liked messing with him in a bullying way, not a brother sister way if I recall. He's also had to be the role model for his younger brother. Can't really let him know you're stressing because Mom gambled way the grocery money and Dad's thinking about leaving.
>>
>>2704978
A bullying way is a brother-sister way, they're not exclusive.
>>
>>2704983
They're really not. There's a massive difference.
>>
>>2704985
Well autocorrect butchered that one. Meant to say that they really are mutually exclusive. There's a huge difference between brother sister teasing and bullying.
>>
>>2704996
don't we bully gobble tho?
>>
>>2704996
Well, Sis might have bullied Herb a little, but also stood up for Herb and loved him as well. I always got the feeling she was trying to toughen herb up a little, but she still loved him.

I could see that, but I always got the vibe that she probably would have blamed him for the issues with the family. "Everything was fine until they had Herb" kinda thing. I could go way into my thoughts on this but I'm probably way off base anyway.
>>
>>2705633
She probably felt that way a little bit when Herb was born cause babies take all the parents attention, but Herb was a mediator when his little brother was born. She probably saw how Herb treated their new brother and felt bad for how she did to him as Herb was little. Herb was probably a much kinder older sibling. It sounded like the littlest brother cemented their current dynamic of all the siblings looking out for each other and I feel like Herb was the real glue for that change.
>>
>>2705375
Good image name!
>>
>>2705775
The thing is we don't know how long his mom was dealing with those issues. I imagine his sister would blame Herb for then because when she was younger the issue wasn't there (depending on how long his mom had had a gambling problem this could actually be true, or it was always there and she just wasn't aware as she was a kid herself). I'd like to agree that how Herb treated his little brother helped changed the dynamic with his sister as well. I could see her finding out Herb knew what was going on and still keeping a smile on his face and distracting the little brother from it, and that made her reassess how she acted.
>>
>>2705812
Yeah, we learned that Herb got good at cooking and fashion as a big way to save money for him and his family. I imagine little Herb mending the family's clothes, searching thrift stores, and cooking big meals to help the stress and financial burden on his parents.
>>
>>2705983
Have we not mentioned this to the girlfriends yet? I mean, Herb isn't the type to bring it up unless asked, but the taking on of everyone's burdens while keeping his own to himself is starting to remind me of Shirou.
>>
>>2706343
No I don't think he has. Herb's the type to jump at everyone's problems to ignore his own and feel useful. At this point it's in the past so I don't think he feels the need to bring it up and definitely doesn't want to.
>>
>>2705983
That's super sad. Has gobble confirmed any of this?
>>
>>2707874
This is information that kinda of been revealed to us and chosen by us by votes over the quest so far, but the exact details have never been specifically been inspected. What I mean is we've ever had a flashback or played through any part of Herb's past. Some of it is intuition and some of it is through context clues.

Like we know Herb took up cooking to help his family, but we also know that Herb now loves to cook and loves to care for people. We also know that Herb's Grandpa loved to cook as well, so maybe he had more influence as well but we still don't know much about Herb's past.

The thing about fashion I said is almost pure conjecture on my part, but the way Herb looks at clothes and talks about fashion lines up with it. He's always thinking about how to make the most of someone's appearance based on what he has around him. Almost Macgyver-esque with his approach to fashion Herb doesn't care about the most expensive clothes, but how clothes can bring out a person's beauty. plus he's a mean hand at sewing which I think would have gone a long way at re-purposing clothes on the cheap as he grew up.
>>
>>2707897
Perhaps there's a bit of hubris in Herb's mindscape as well then. A sort of "I'm the only thing holding all this together" mentality that helps fuel the "must be useful" complex.
>>
>>2712204
I think it's possible, but I sorta feel like Herb doesn't have pretty good self esteem. Like the reason he feels the need to be useful is that if he didn't then he would just be a burden on everyone, a waste of space, or even boring.

I feel like the hubris bit would stem from an inflated ego that Herb doesn't have, but maybe that kind of mentality is what he fears he'll become.
>>
>>2712204
More like “what if they realize they’d be fine without me? Better make myself look useful.”

Of course, there are plenty of aspects of Herb outside of his deepest fears that they may choose to explore instead. Or maybe, unlike Herb, they’d feel like exploring/ messing with his headspace without his supervision would be too invasive?
>>
>>2712850
It sounded like Laki didn't have a strong presence when she visited Hana, so maybe only Herb and Keira are able to change things cause they are aura users?
>>
>>2712850
Well the one time herb thought he couldn't make everyone happy he fled into the woods.

Character info pastebin in progress: http://pastebin.com/iB0tb7rz
Dice odds for best of 3: http://pastebin.com/994WTT3g

Also in a dreamscape inside of Hana

Poke-hype! Glad I'm here in time!

Janitor-Hana looks very interested in adjusting her mop and chewing bubblegum. Looks like you’re going to be the one to do the talking.

“Well, you are pre-”

“Oh damn!” A playful, strong, confident version of Hana’s voice says from behind moments before your eyesight is blocked by something. You reach up and feel a hat on your head. “This is he guy, huh?” She chews bubblegum too, but in a much more open-mouthed, carefree way. “Cute! But not what I expected.” She examines you like a show-pokemon at one of those old breeding shows. “So we fooled around like awkward teenagers. I was never into conventional romance anyway.”

Your finally get a chance to take a moment and lift the hat all the way off of yourself and see this new Hana. She’s older. Older than you. Taller than regular Hana by about 2-3 inches, with a defiant, almost borderline punk haircut. Her slightly larger chest is layered by a bathing suit top below a fishnet shirt, below an open, long jacket. Her strong, hard thighs are surprisingly visible under her short skirt. “Nice to meet you!” She shakes your hand. “Or should I be greeting you another way, loverboy?” She kisses you on the cheek, letting her forehead rest against you for a half-instant, and producing a big, entertained smile.

The younger version of Hana is enthralled and amazed. The janitor-Hana looks a little annoyed, but also a little on-edge. “This is,” she sighs, “my idealized version of myself. Outgoing, dresses for attention instead of avoiding it, and confident. To an annoying fault.”

“You’re not scared of annoying people because you’re nice. You’re scared of being too boring to get away with it.” She winks and opens the janitor’s shirt so it shows a little cleavage. Janitor Hana quickly covers it up in an unoffended, but insecure huff.

“She’s the coolest.” Young-Hana says. “So I’m a lot like her when I grow up, right?”

You assess the new Hana again quickly before answering. Her hair shows all of her face, her colourful accessories on her plain, worn-out jacket grab attention. She takes her hat back off of you and slaps it back onto her head before giving you a playful wink, and she sits on the chair backwards like a cool kid out of an old movie. Her whole being just excludes confidence and playfulness. She looks like she could grab your hand and take you off into an adventure at any moment, and that she always knows exactly how to handle things.

You suppose the question is important because it’s a way of establishing how you see Hana.

“Yeah.”

“Really?” The young Hana’s wide eyes go wider with hope.

“Kick-ass.” The ‘cool’ Hana says. She swings her heavy boots up onto another chair so she can lean back. “You’re a lucky boy, then.” You can almost hear a subtle guitar around her, like she has a theme song.

“I mean, mostly. She doesn’t dress like that.-”

“Bet we don’t spend much time together dressed, right buddy?” The confident one elbows you.

“I’m sure he just means I dress more...ladylike. That’s fine.”

“Well, you dress more...casually. But you still look beautiful!” You quickly add. “I just mean that, deep down. Hana is very assertive when it matters. She’s becoming more so every day.” You think to Hana standing up to Laki and others whenever she feels she really needs to say something. She never takes the initiative, but she always stands up when she thinks it needs to be done.

“Sounds good, but I think I need to push her harder.” The cooler one says before standing up. A sledgehammer has somehow found its way into her hands. She whistles and casually strolls out into the hallway.

“What’s she doing?” You ask.

“Ugh. She’s Hana’s idealized version of herself. Who she thinks she’d like to be. So she’s doing the opposite of what Hana would do. Hana is scared of making a fuss or causing problems, but this particular Hana is all about it. She’s going to go knock down walls and break stuff, and hope that Hana rebuilds something better.”

“Oh. Oh no! Should we stop her?” You suddenly fear the consequences of being here.

Janitor-Hana sighs. You see the cool-Hana out in the hallway through the cafeteria door, being lifted and carried away by two figures you can’t quite make out. “Security always stops her, and then she’s put back away somewhere safe. Causing trouble is a bad idea.”

All the Hana’s nod and voice agreement. They seemed outside of listening range, but apparently that doesn’t matter much here.

“They’re wrong.” The young Hana says. “How else am I supposed to grow if I don’t knock down some walls and clear some space? They’re all just scared. They think it’s too risky”

“You’re not wrong, but you should have more of a plan than just hoping something better gets built in its place. Improvement only comes with effort.”

“What kind of effort?” She asks.

“Well, umm, that depends on the specifics. But just figuring out what you have to do and working towards it. You need a plan before you start smashing things. It’s not cool to just take that first step and hope it’ll all work out. That’s just reckless. You’ve got to build up, too.

“...Oh. I get it now.” She says.

“You do?”

“Yeah. I get why I’m with you, now. You’re a grounded guy.” She looks up with wide eyes. “I bet you take good care of me.”

Well, you certainly hope so. “Come on, let’s meet everyone else.”

The janitor-Hana takes away young-Hana’s plate and other stuff, then follows.

“Well, back there were my friends from the hospital. I didn’t get to know most of them that well. They either leave because they got better, or leave because they didn’t.” She sounds a little sad. “I miss Ami the most.”

The one she gestures to is maybe a year or two younger than you. She’s in a wheelchair, although she moves her legs a little so she’s probably not bound to it. You don't need to be a doctor to guess that it’s something terminal.

You aren't sure what to say. “I-”

Janitor-Hana takes over. “But she’s the one that made me promise to go out and live, instead of just staying hidden from the world. And it sounds like I’m doing that at least a little. So., no need for sad words, okay? Moving on.” She points to the next table. “There’s the table with all of the people you know. Laki, Abigail, Keira, Polu, all of them.“ You’re curious to see how they act. “And over there is you and me on a date. Probably a microcosm of our relationship. Probably going to be a mess.” She awkwardly half-laughs. “And over here is me, alone, wearing earphones, reading a book. It’s how I usually like to be.” She points to the table across the aisle. “There’s me and my pokemon. Small table, I know. I never give them what they need. I feel pretty guilty about that.”

You sit down with her pokemon. Trainer-Hana is dressed like a real ace. She’s got the classic pro-gear on, a licensed Pokemon League hat from Kanto, if you’re not mistaken. But her clothes and hat are all sloppy and ill-fitting. She looks a very unsure of herself. “Togep! You’re so cute!.” She cuddles the small egg pokemon for a second, before it hisses and growls at her. She placates it by calling it cute a few more times despite not meaning it any more, and giving it some of her cafeteria lunch.

“Oh, hey. A real trainer! Err, I mean, another trainer.” She stands up to greet you.”How are you- Oh no Glaceon, come back!” She runs from the table to chase Glaceon, who just got bored and wandered off. She places the compliant and lethargic Ice pokemon back at the table.

Chinchou rolls it’s eyes and gives Hana’s arm a nice little charge as she holds it out for it. After filling up, she pats it on the head and thanks it, but it doesn’t take her seriously and looks underappreciated.

Tirtouga lays there, bored and depressed looking. There’s nothing challenging it. Togepi comes to push it off the table, but it’s so heavy that it’s taking a long time and some real effort. Tirtouga is too bored and lazy to be bothered by its slow approach towards the edge.

“Heh. Boy. This is embarrassing.” Hana says. “I’ve been meaning to do more for my pokemon, but, well, you know. Things happen.” The trainer-Hana looks distracted by the television. She’s also glancing a lot at the date at the table next to her, and looking back at the one with all your friends. “Uh huh. In a minute, Tirtouga.” She says as it finally begins to vocalize a complaint. She does end up catching it as it’s tipped over the edge, though.

Glaceon huffs some ice around your feet out of boredom.

“On it.” Janitor-Hana says as she chips it away and cleans it up, tossing the ice into her mop-bucket.

>She’s too hard on herself. Her real pokemon aren’t nearly as neglected or troubled

Just to point out, I didn't vote for this because I don't think it would work. One of the things about depression is that you believe other people hate you almost as much as you do, and breaking even one person free from getting pigeonholed like that is a long-term process.

She just won't believe it if we tell her her Pokemon don't see her like that.

It might be a good idea to get Keira and/or Gardevoir's help to tell Hana's Pokemon she's worried she's no good for them, ask if there's anything they actually do want her to do for them, and tell them that they need to remember to be obvious about it when they're happy with her because she's not very good at realizing it herself.
>>
You make a mental note of it. It seems like Hana thinks pretty poorly of herself as a trainer. While she’s not really as focused or driven as some other trainers you’ve seen, you never really considered her to be like this. Whatever issues she’s having with training, you’re sure you and Laki can help her out in real life.

“If you ever feel like you need advice, feel free to reach out. It’s okay to ask for help from me or other trainers.” You pat the dishevelled, distracted, and confused trainer-Hana on the back and keep going.

“Oh. Uh, thanks for stopping by!” She says awkwardly. As she waves, her robotic hand comes loose. She picks it up quickly, but bangs her head on the table when she tries to sit back up straight. That spooks Chinchou, who falls off the table and fires tiny electrical blast into the ceiling.

Janitor-Hana cleans it up instantly.

You approach the table with all of your friends. There’s Hana, who seems not to different from her trainer self, although she is a bit less clumsy and generally seems to have herself together more. One thing you notice about her is that her eyes are always down. Not at the table, but at about chest-level with the other girls.

Laki is a bustier, sexier, more confident version of herself. Her exposed cleavage still somehow leaves her with some class, though. It’s classy, black-dress cleavage, not trashy, tacky cleavage. She laughs loudly, sits with her legs wide, and takes a big hunk of meat off of Hana’s plate and bites it in half. Her other hand grabs your butt posessively. She laughs and chokes a little when you jump. “Hey Soft Hands. You’re giving me a massage later. Non-negotiable.”

Keira looks a lot the same, but older and wiser. She too is slightly more shapely and developed. She has on a priestly hat though, and carries herself with more authority. She uses Loanan words once in awhile, and it’s clear that the Hana at this table doesn’t understand them.

Abigail has a big mischievous grin, which isn’t accurate. For some reason she’s dressed in a schoolgirl’s uniform. She tosses you a juicebox. “Hey. Take a seat, goldentop.”

Polu is at the end of the table. You can’t help but notice how much more handsome his smile is here, and how he’s shirtless. Sure, he’s dressed to surf, but still, he looks really, really good.

Jane is there too. Except she’s like a demon with Jane’s features. She’s got all of her features, but as an alien, demonic creature. Her brows are permanently furrowed. Despite that, she looks oddly attractive. She seems almost approachable until she hisses at Janitor-Hana for getting too close. She doesn’t stop you from getting close, though. In fact, this Jane seems to welcome it.

On the other wise, there’s the angelic Valerie. With her white dress, shining hair, and the sunlight from the window, she looks divine and smells of summer. Her laugh almost physically transforms the things around her to look prettier.

Then there’s you. Huh, are you that skinny? You’re immaculately dressed, though. Your laugh grates your own ears but seems nice to Hanas. Everyone around the table seems to be generally more interested in anything you have to say as a rule, and you have a sort of distracting bulge in your pants. You watch yourself for a bit. You shoot Hana the occasional wink or glance, but otherwise don’t seem to give her that much attention. You have notable bags under your eyes, which you can only assume is from you having been pushing yourself a bit lately.

“Wow. I end up with a lot of sexy friends.” Young-Hana comments.

“Messy, too.” Janitor-Hana says as she cleans up the mess around Laki’s section of the table. Laki turns it into a mess again almost instantly.

You take a seat next to Hana. “Hey.”

“Hey buddy, what do you think you’re doing?” You turn to see yourself, with Laki on ‘your’ lap, looking angrily at you. “I-, oh, it’s me. Nevermind.” He says before turning his attention back to Laki. Oh, that’s getting a little heated.

“Hi.” Hana says with a shy smile. “Oh, you’re a new Herb. Did you come out of the dungeon?”

“The dungeon?” Wait, does she mean the sex dungeon with all the keys lying around.

“Ha, whaaaat? Dungeon? Pssft.” She tries her hardest to act like it was a joke. “Heh. that’s uh...you already know about it, don’t you?”

Janitor-Hana nods on your behalf. Young-Hana looks very interested but very unimpressed by her this version of herself.

“So uh, what can I do you for?” She says with that shy, awkward, half-hearted enthusiasm of hers.”

You take her hand. “I just wanted to talk. Tell me about your day.”

Normalcy. She thinks shes more boring than the others, but the truth is that 90% of everyhing is boring anyway. Being able to be boring around other people is a sign of comfort. Having her chip in with her boring day while we pay attention would be best.

I’d still be up for seeing her interactions with the others, but as a partner/commentator. I’d want her to do most of the self-examination on why she thinks they aren’t boring sometimes too.

“Well I've gotten to meet you, several of you, so pretty great.” you say, getting comfortable.

Hana blushes, brushes her hair aside a little, and looks down while giggling. She quickly gets her composure back together and looks up. But there’s a small zit on her face. “Hope you’re not getting sick of me.”

“Not possible.” You say, skooching a little closer. You think a little bit more about your day. “Let’s see, what else. Well, I was inside of Keira earlier.”

“Huh?”

“Oh, mentally. Or, aura wise, or whatever. You know, like this.” You gesture around the room.

“I...Herb if you want to bring in Keira, I’m super down for that. Suuuper down. Down like a clown. Like a Diglett using dig.” She fidgets. “Just don’t forget how permissive and cool I am about everything.” She sounds a little nervous in that last sentence.

“Umm, oh.” You aren’t sure how to respond to that. “I really just meant for the aura exercise.”

She looks confused. “Oh. Oooooh! Right. Sorry. I should have been listening more closely. I’m pretty bad about that.” She turns to give you her full attention. “So, back to your day.”

“Oh, right. Earlier I was at the temple, and...” you tell her about your day. You tell her about current events. And ou tell her about your thoughts and feelings. There’s nothing really big in there, but you are glad to be able to let that all out and discuss it.

“What's up with demon Jane? Is there a word for sexy and scary?”

“Yeah, ‘Jane.’” She snorts. “Ha. Get it? Because even as a scary monster you still want to just bury your face in those tits and... hehe, whoo. It’s hot in here, huh?”

You shrug.

“So, uh. What else can I do for you?” She says. “We can talk about or do whatever you want.”

Well, what about you? I’m here to get to know you better, after all. So tell me a little about yourself.”

She looks confused and scared. She pokes her real and fake fingers together. “What could you want to know about me?” This slightly dorkier version of Hana seems incapable of looking you directly in the eyes. She keeps averting her gaze. She’s also got zits that Hana doesn’t, and looks a little sweatier.

“About myself?” Hana says. “Wow. Jeez. Okay. Well, I like movies, but you already knew that. I like...” she leans in and whispers in your ear. “I like getting banged by you. Like crazy.” She leans back. “What else? Umm, I used to play a lot of games but haven’t touched them since we’ve been travelling. I sort of miss that.”

“Can I ask you something?”

“I’m all yours.” She says, trying to lean back on her bench. Her hands miss the back and she’s unable to steady herself. She slips a little and then quickly rights herself. “Go ahead.”

“Do I do anything to annoy you? Am I doing okay there? Sometimes I’m not sure whether I’m giving you too much space or too little. How am I doing on that? I see that Laki isn’t at our date-table over there, so is that a sign of something?”

“Oh. Wow. That’s a heavy line of questions.” She laughs. “Well, not really annoying, but you do miss a lot of signs. I don’t like to impose, so I try to be subtle about hinting what I want and you never really pick it up. I have to be brave to get it through to you.” She looks down. “That’s really my own fault, but I still get annoyed at you when you don’t notice.” She looks down. “Laki’s not at the table because as much as I like her, and I do, we haven’t really had much experience one on one. I know more about how she likes to be licked than I do her favorite color. That’s on me too, though. You’re doing great for space. I worry about how much i give you all the time. I feel overwhelmed sometimes but I’m also like, crazy obsessed with you so I do a lot to keep that from getting creepy. I smell your pillow sometimes.” She blurts out accidentally. I understand if you’re mad or creeped out.” She’s sweating now.

“Not at all.” Well, that’s good to know. “I was actually going to ask you to tell me something you’d be too shy to say in real life.”

“I’m so the wrong Hana to ask.” She turns away. “But, if it’s you, well, umm..” her eyes dart around. “Okay. I know.” She leans in close. “Even though I totally deny it, I still want to be a gym leader. It doesn’t have to be water, but I feel like that’s what I’d be best at.” She leans back and sighs, as if she just got milk after eating a very spicy pepper. “That was hard. Not very interesting, I know, but I wanted to share something that wasn't lewd for once. You’re probably sick of that.”

“You don’t have to worry about every little thing like that. I like hearing what you have to say. You know, you’re more interesting than you think.” You take her hand.

“I am?”

“Yes, so don’t worry so much about offending. It’s fine.”

She looks down. “Thanks. It’s not that I always just blindly hate myself. I like me, for the most part. But being me takes a lot of work. I just want to run away back to books and movies and games. I’m an introvert, but I feel like I use that as an excuse to avoid confrontation or scary social situations. And so I worry that if I don’t temper praise that I get, or if I just get too careless about how I act, I won’t work as hard to be the me that I like. The me that you like.” She finally gives you a little eye contact. It breaks after only a few seconds, though.

You feel a slight weakening of your presence here. It’s tiny, but you know that eventually you will run out of time. You should probably move on from here soon if you want to see other places.

You get up from the table. There’s a lot you want to say. “Thank you. I want to help you grow too Hana, but remember you don't have to temper or censor yourself around me. The more I find out about you, the more I want to learn. I'll do my best to be more perceptive, as long as you do your best to be open about yourself. We're in this together.”

She shyly squirms. “That’s why I l...love you.” She manages. Her sweatiness and zits seem to fade away a bit.

You extend your hand and she takes it. When she does, you pull her up and into a deep, long, groping kiss. “Mm?” She’s confused a first, but then she begins to roll with it, and then, she begins to really get into it. Your hands don’t care that you’re in public and neither does her body.

It becomes hard to break as she keeps chasing your mouth and pushing into you while you try to back off. You do end it eventually, though.

She pants. “Awesome.”

As you leave, you notice the Herb that was on the table come over to that Hana and put the moves on her. It does stroke your ego a bit that when he does, he looks a lot more handsome and seems to melt her tuna like nobody’s business.

“I guess growing up to be me isn’t all bad.” Young Hana says as she follows. Her eyes unsure of whether to watch you or the you at the table putting the moves on that Hana.

You find your way over to the Hana that’s alone and reading next.

“Hi.” You say.

Sit next to her, if doesn't notice us kiss her on the cheek and move on, but if she does notice just spend some quality time with her.
>>
>>2715382
>Something else
Gonna have a lot of opinions on this one.

I’d say (if she lets us), see if we can place her in our lap, hold her close, and read over her shoulder for a bit. Ger comfortable with the quiet.
>>
>Something else
Speak silence with her. It is her native tongue after all.
>>
I mean. You guys realize it's fine if she likes being alone some times right?
>>
>>2715382
>Okay. Move on

Let her enjoy herself.
>>
>>2715498
Yeah, of course. I feel like the general feeling is, we want her to know that we care about her and then move on if she doesn't want to engage.
>>
>>2715508
I mean the parts of her that engage are all over. we just spoke to them. I think this is her alone time self.
>>
>>2715513
Sure, but we just spoke to a Hana that said she uses her introverted qualities to avoid having to deal with people. So that aspect might be this hana and it could be worthwhile to speak to her, but if not if it really is just alone time Hana then we can move on, no harm no foul.
>>
>>2715513
Herb and Hana can be alone together. Silence between two people can say a lot. Hope that makes sense. But she didn't outright rebuff him.
>>
>>2715382
>Something else
Make it clear that we're not ignoring her, but if she doesn't want to interact with us, that's okay.
>>
>>2715521
I have no interest speaking with this Hana. I just want this Hana to know that it's fine to not want to be social all the time, but that Herb is there for her regardless. We don't need words here.
>>
>>2715533
Sure, that's fine too. that cuts to my original point. We just want Hana to know we care and then move on.
>>
>>2715382
>Kiss her, peck on the cheek or top of her head. tell her to have fun. Move on to the dungeon.

Im kind of drunk but my brain has suddenly spinning in shadow-runs on what the sex dungeon is and that it might not be what we assumed. mindspaces and philosophies and all that jazz.
>>
>>2715557
So Gardevoir wasn't at the pokemon or the friend's table, what's the over/under on her being tied up in the dungeon right now?
>>
>>2715568
Haha, thanks for that mental image. I'm not even sure I want to see the dungeon, I like the mystery of it.

Gardevoir turns to you as you enter the dungeon. Shes far more human like, and curvaceous.

She bites her lip "The screams, the tiny little red lines, its a map, a map to the sunshine that's inside every single one."

You aren’t really sure what to do. If this were real life, of course you’d just move on. But this is Hana’s aura, and you’re exploring it. So you decide to try something.

You sit beside her on this little couch. She doesn’t react at all. She just continues reading and listening.

So you wait a little bit, then skooch a little closer.

She flips the page.

Okay, so far, so good. You get closer still. “I’m going to put my arm around you, if that’s alright.”

She gives you a quick flicker of her eyes before returning back to her book. Her shoulder is cold, but she doesn’t oppose it. In time, you make yourself comfortable and warm her up a bit. She seems to appreciate that, in the very small and subtle ways she communicates.

In time, you find yourself cuddling with her. She doesn’t talk, at all, and she doesn’t appreciate any actions that take her focus away from her book or listening to her earphones.

You sit and cuddle for a bit. She doesn’t seem to want to share the book at first. But after some time, she lets you see it. After a little longer, she even angles it so you can read it.

You have no idea what this book is. There’s no cover, and you’ve jumped into the middle of a story. But it’s some sort of fantasy.

She flips the page again, and that’s when you notice that it’s being written. The words fill in every time she flips it.

Oh gosh! She’s writing a book in her head!

“I still haven’t written a book?” The young version asks from over your shoulder, disturbing you and cuddle-Hana. “What have I been doing with my time.”

“Bean-flicking, mostly.” Janitor-Hana answers.

“What? I’m some sort of farmer?”

You cuddle with the reading Hana for a bit longer, but the crowd her is bothering her a little. Still, she gives your hand a nice squeeze before turning the next page. You decide that’s fine by you and leave her to her privacy. She didn’t mind your presence, just demands for attention, and that’s fine.

You feel a little colder for having broken contact. Cuddling was really nice. but you should be moving on now.

Date-Hana is dressed up very nicely. Although her body doesn’t look as good as it does in real life. This one has a bit of a potbelly, her scars are much more visible, and she generally just looks worse than in real life. She laughs at a joke you make so hard that part of her drink comes out of her nose. The date-you smoothly hands her a handkerchief.

Wow. This version of you is smooth. You had no idea Hana had such a high opinion of you.

A hot Laki walks by and both of you at the table turn stop talking and turn your heads. The conversation resumes a second later.

“So...” She plays with the ice in her drink. The version of you at the table checks his watch. He looks bored and is growing impatient.

You don’t even own a watch!

“She’s blowing it.” The Janitor-Hana says as she finds some tissue paper in her cart. “Looks like a night full of crying and masturbation.”

“Ew.” Young-Hana says. “And she’s not blowing it. She’ll find something. Come on.”

Date Hana manages to grab date-Herb’s attention by running her foot up his leg.

What are the odds that she took a poke around Herb's subconscious while we were inside Keira? And what are the odds of getting a pastebin of that event?
>>
>>2715706
fuuuuuck
>>
>>2715706
That makes way too much sense. Explains why she trying to LEWD everyone and everything.
>>
You fold your arms. “Oh come on! Does she really think the only way to get your attention is sex?” You ask janitor-Hana. You’re hurt. You’re not just interested in that stuff.

“Don’t ask me. I’m just clean-up. Date-Hana isn’t easy to read.”

You watch for a bit more. The Herb there seems distracted and slightly uninterested in date-Hana. She ups her game by moving her chair around to be right next to him so she can use her hand under the table directly. Her insecurity does seem to vanish though. She’s changed into a much prettier, sexier, better looking version of herself.

She definitely has Date-Herb’s attention, though.

Is this what she wants out of the date, or what she thinks you want? Or is it the only way she feels she can keep your attention. Oh man, what if it’s the only way you can can keep hers? Is her interest in you hinged on sex? You know that’s not the only thing that makes you get along, but would she be with you if that aspect of your relationship wasn’t so....if it didn’t make her curl her toes and roll her eyes into the back of her head?

No. No. You can’t think that way.

Jeez, this whole thing is really bringing up some uncomfortable questions. You could just be letting your imagination or insecurities run wild. Keira did tell you that things aren’t literal when it comes to aura. It’s not memories or mind-reading. It’s just feelings. Maybe Hana feels like she hasn’t had any other sort of date, so this is just her ‘feeling’ how it usually goes.

Her hand under the table and the face you’re making are both very obvious now. It’s a good thing this isn’t real.

“Wow. I just go for it, huh?” Young Hana says, eyes wide. “Fearless.”

>Make a mental note to have a non-lewd date with Hana and move on

You make a mental note about maybe having a non-lewd date in the future, and to talk to Hana about this. You try to cover young-Hana’s eyes as date-Hana drops her face below the table. “Uhh, just so you know, this is only one part of the relationship. There’s more than just sex.”

“Uh huh.” Young Hana says, peering between the gaps in your hand.

You sigh. It’s no use. You are a little hurt and confused, but you also can’t really deny that date-Herb is having a great time right now.

You move on.

“Back to the hallway.” Janitor-Hana says. “Where are we going now?”

That’s a good question. You-

Boom! Boom! Big, gigantic feet walk by the hallway window.

“What’s that?” You put yourself in front of young-Hana.

“Oh. The Titans Yeah, they’re cool. They don’t cause any problems, besides being big and intimidating.” Janitor-Hana says. “If you want to get their attention, you can try showing amazing skill, but it’s a lot easier and more reliable just to get hurt or start a fire. They’ll respond pretty much instantly to those.”

You’re so confused. You slowly move closer to the window to take a better look. Way up in the sky, you see the giant’s feet belongs to Kat. There’s a Robin in the background, and a few others you assume are Hana’s other caretakers and adults who cared for her.

Oh!

Oh.

Woah. You feel a different shaking. It only lasts for a moment, but you can tell you’re growing a little weaker here. You won’t be able to stay forever. You need to decide where you’re going to go next

[I'm afraid that's it for tonight. We'll be running again on either Tuesday or Wednesday evening.

I'm getting lasik on Friday and I'm unsure what that means for running next weekend. My understanding is that the first three days are pretty bad, but it's not like I need a lot of eye-sight to run.

I hope everyone is enjoying themselves. This arc has been longer than I expected, but as long as nobody is growing tired of it, that's great by me.]

Thanks for running, Gobble. i really like the aurascpae/mindscape scenes that we do in your quests. It's a unique perspective we don't get to see very often and helps us learn more about Herb's views on the world and the views of how our companions see/feel about the world.

[So there might be a delay on the thread. I hurt myself a bit at work. Nothing serious, but it's slowing down me down while I try to tackle some sudden issues with all this rain and computer (unrelated). Things have gone slightly haywire today. I'll see if I can get things wrapped up, but if we do run today, it'll be delayed and short. It's not looking likely, but I'll try my best and let you know for sure once I try some things and see how they go.

Also, I will always post butts. I have them stored online for backup. Butts are serious business.]

I'll go with write-up. We've spent a lot of time here already (both aura mixing and at this temple) and I'd like to get a move on.

A write-up might be better, but I can’t help but feel the pull of playing as, for instance, just Herb’s anger. Write up seems better, much the way you picked Herb’s aura type. It’ll move the arc along, and it isn’t really a time where controlling Herb makes sense, nor is a perspective swap necessary.

Tldr; bin.
