>At the crack of Dawn, Commander Irvis strides out of the unfinished base that is the secluded caves towards the temporary camp outside

“ALRIGHT MEN, LISTEN UP! Today is the day we start to develop and expand our base here, but to do that, we will require mining and excavation equipment! Could those of you who I consider my advisors, confidants, and lieutenants please come to the war room to discuss our options! If you think you belong to that category, but I kick you out of the war room, you’ll know after that!”

>What is this?
This is the Renegade Regiment, a freeform RP . In this quest, you play Renegade guardsmen and chaos cultists under the command of Commander Irvis as the regiment struggles against the shackles of the Imperium

>Can I join?
Sure, join right in. For now, you’re restricted to having your character be a human or abhuman/mutant. Also of course, they have to be the kind of person to worship or at least work with the Chaos Gods.

>Can I have multiple characters?
Yes as long as you don't use it to powerplay.

>How do you play?
We tend to use spoilers for OOC chat, but nothing is set in stone.
We tend to use greentexts for describing a character's actions, but again nothing is set in stone.
Use d20s for combat checks and d100s for other things you want to roll, higher Is better.

>Hooded and masked figure enters the room
We find the nearest mine, which is about here
>He points at the map
And can do one of following things, we kill them all and take their equipment, we enslave them or we try to convert them to our cause since working conditions there are...bad
>>
>>2704419
>A certain pretty mutant enters
I know I'm not officially one of that category, but my sideways thinking saved us from an unnecessary fight once already.
>>2704424
Convert them I think.
>>
>>2704419
>Arden enters the room
I suggest we raid the mine and take the equipment and capture any workers
>>
>Lenny was away with some other cultists, doing a textbook imperial field kit inspection with them

“Fuck. You guys really don’t have that much shit. That’s another one for the logistics book”

>Lenny does his best to try and at least keep some of the cultists well equipped for a battle scenario

“Alright we have a single crate of grenades... really limited ammunition stockpiles... fuck. Things really are dire around here.”

>Lenny equips some of the cultists with a single Frag grenade each along with ammunition for their autoguns

“Alright. Let’s do some target practice.”

>Lenny brings the cultists out into a field beside the base and sets up a few crude targets for them to practice their shooting on. At first their accuracy was abysmal and made Lenny cringe on multiple occasions but soon their accuracy improved somewhat.
>>
>>2704419
>The clattering of rusted bells, the wheezing of his struggled breath, and of course the stench
Barabass herrrre
Ready to speak Nurgle's will to the commander
>bleck
>the skin side of his face is smiling in optimism
>>
>>2704419
Hello Ivris
> he walks in to the room
We should probably expand our scouting operations
>>
>>2704419
Begin when ready Irvis.
>>
>>2704424
>Irvis nods

"Indeed, there is a mine not too far from here:"

>Irvis points it out on the map

"They're mining up material for making plasticrete and such; not a patiuclalry valuable location for the enemy, but it's got all the equipment we need. No matter how we deal with it, the main problem is we don't want the Imperium knowing we're up here, so basically, they can't be able to call for help, they can't be able to run, and we can't blow it up or disable it too badly; if the rock stops coming out, the guys in the capital will notice and send somebody up there to check it out."

"And it's as Salfrin said: we either take the place by force and kill or enslave them, or try to get them to join us willingly. The miners are penals being worked to death, and the guards are PDF. So then, any ideas people?"
>>
>>2704524
“The penals can be converted the PDF will be harder. I say we just kill the PDF then get the equipment and take the penals so they believe that it was a escape.”
>>
>>2704524
We come at night, kill the PDF and give penals a choice, join or die. We can set it up in a way that a local criminal organisation or orks can be blamed, there are such creatures on this planet, right?
>>
>>2704529
We could also take the surviving PDF as slaves and convert them.
>>
>>2704524
>he gets out a piece of graphing paper and begins drawing something up

So if we infiltrate through here and pretend to be one of the penal regimenters, we could use nurgle corruption to make the mining area completely blighted and unlivable.

This would cause many if the imperials to start firing upon the penal regimenters who they believe to be lazy, if done right out infiltrators could cause a revolt on the inside
This would draw the PDF either inward to deal with the situation, in which case we can simply take the entrance and confiscate all communication equipment, or if the revolt fails, outwards where explosive weaponry would make short work of the clustered bodies
>>
>>2704532
"If we blight the land, when they come up to check why the plasticrete stopped coming, they'll see the corruption and know we're in the area."
>>
>>2704541
“Do they have any patrols outside of the mines?.”
>>
>>2704532
They will see that the chaos was involved, we must find a way to shift the blame on someone else.
>>
>>2704532
Corruption on that scale would attract the wrong kind of attention likewise would a prison revolt depending on the regiment I might have some sleepers in the guards who might be able to help us with the comms
>>
>>2704541
We blight the inside of the mines where they can’t use their communications, which are stationed on the surface.

Before they realise that the guardsmen are not just being lazy and that something is really wrong, the opportunity for a revolt will have already presented itself.
>>
>>2704552
Did you hear him if the land is blighted they will know it's us
We must make it look like it's someone else
>>
>>2704550
>>2704562
If you had the mental capacity to understand what I am saying you would know that it would not matter.
All they would be able to report was that the guardsmen were being lazy again and then communication would cease as we moved in.

They would only discover chaos taint after we had already left
>>
>>2704565
And they would know we are in the area making this perfectly fine hideout compromised before we have even established ourselves making the whole thing meaningless
>>
>>2704570
Any sort of operation will cause suspicion, there is no feasible way to steal the equipment without drawing attention to ourselves unless we replace everything we steal with exact replicas.

Do you have a way of stealing the mining equipment without letting anyone ever find out it was stolen?
Because it’s currently impossible
>>
>>2704577
No the goal is to make it look like it's someone else thus not compromising our position you even listening
>>
>>2704577
>walks in in newly cleaned robes now with black trim.
Just make them think it was someone else. As you would have heard if your hearing aparatus was not shoved halfway up your excrement dispenser.
>>
>>2704580
That won’t stop them from looking in the general area of where the equipment was stolen, do you even know how things function?

Just because they don’t know it was renegades does not stop them from realising that renegades stole it in a routine search
>>
>>2704586
But currently there is a bunch of angry sororitas looking for us and giving them clues that obvious is straight up idiotic.
If they think it was just some bandits they will not come here
>>
>>2704592
You just deflected my point instead of addressing it.

If they think it was bandits they will still look in the general area, because that is what you do when things get stolen, and then they will find us.

However...

I do have an alternate, yet equally as risky suggestion
>>
>>2704600
The purpose of hiding chaos involvement isn't to prevent investigation, it's to lessen their reaction. If they suspect that chaos is active in the region they will likely send ten times as many troops. If not more.
>>
>>2704600
If tzeentchites are all this irritating I might just go with Prince orgies

Go ahead what is it
>>
>Lenny enters the war room, figuring that he might as well try and show some use after training the cultists

“So. What are you guys and gals planning?”
>>
>>2704604
>>2704605

If we had one of the regiment, preferably one of noble origin, pose as a buyer of the mining equipment and then have them rip the mine owners off...

The mine bosses would not be able to report the incident lest they risk execution.

So we would be able to acquire the equipment without revealing our location.

However it would require an incredibly talented con artist to pull off properly
>>
>>2704615
Sounds better and we do have some actual nobility in here somewhere you know the priest and his sister
>>
Rolled 72 (1d100)

>>2704622
>Gasp!
I could make them clothes!
>Runs off, giggling. She gathers cloth and starts making three different suits, tastefully designed for Antoloth, Area, and herself.
>>
>>2704640
Hmm...

This could work...

Gather the most perfect actors with the fewest mutations possible in your slanneshi camp, aim for the most charming and attractive to maximise pursuasion but ensure nine of visibly mutated
>>
>>2704649
"Your idea has merit O7. We will require somebody who has received few gifts from the gods. Hmm..."

>Irvis thinks for a moment

"The best ones that I can think of are Maria, Jay's partner who joined only recently, Steven, who is an expert at appearing normal, our new friend Lenny here, Jaan, and maybe O7's little slave if she can be convinced to help."
>>
>>2704880
(Ant) Someone summoned us?
>They both enter the room, Area seems melancholy
>>
>>2704887
"Oh yes, you two are still here. O7 believes the best course of action in securing mining equipment is to go to a mine and pose as nobles and take it."
>>
>>2704893

Brunhilde walks in, looking extremely tired, as if she hadn't slept for three days...which is almost true, seeing how she passed out and had a good three hours of sleep before being forced awake and walked, or rather stumbled, slowly over to the command tent at a speed that a follower of nurgle could beat without even trying. She didn't say anything and just stood there behind everyone else, trying not to pass out.
>>
>>2704933
"Oh yes, Brunhilde also has yet to receive gifts from the gods. How about it Brunhilde, are you up to impersonating some nobles?"

>>2704640
>Despite the lack of quality material, you are still able to cobble together a respectable ensemble. It would never pass in a noble court, but to the uninitiated in courtly matters, it looks like the clothing of the wealthy.
>>
>>2704990

"I...Can do that...just need...to wake up first...maybe need more...of that recaf...you weren't joking...when you said it would...keep me up for days..." Brunhilde would say sounding completely exhausted and as if she wasn't really there before falling over and muttering "I think I could...sleep for two days."
>>
>>2705006
"I've got two different special recafs: Slaaneshi and Khornate. The slaaneshi will possibly give you hallucinations and get you addicted and such. The Khornate one will make you mad."
>>
>>2705062

"Whichever one...will keep me awake...better...maybe...both." Brunhilde would mutter before going silent, probably having fallen asleep considering her eyes were closed and she wasn't responding to anyone at the moment.
>>
>>2705078
>Irvis shrugs
"Eh, she can just sleep I guess."
>>
>>2705159
>He un does the straps on his gas mask, revealing his perfect features and bright blue eye that match Area's, come to think of it they look like twins almost...
Very well, shouldnt be difficult at all
>>
>>2705259
Hello priest hello scum I'm happy to see you are both alive atleast
>>
>>2705319
>She dosent respond, her mind is somewhere else
>>
>>2705319
>He glares at you, but takes a deep breath and pretends you didnt say that
Hello Jaan, how do you-
>He smells Barabass
OH! Winds take that stench away!
>he puts his mask back on as quickly as he can
>>
>>2705323
Ok your o so noble majesty is that a better way to refer to someone who proclaimed they wished to destroy everything I have worked and sacrificed so much to liberate
>>
>>2705347
Can you really blame her? Shes lost everything. We both have, the only reason im still bothering here is because i see opportunity to undo the past.
But her? what reason to have any sort of hope or care for this world does she have? The fact that you yourself persist with your ancient ways boggles me.
We should not discuss this, and remain objective.
Im sure you all have come up with some sort of plan?
>>
>>2705347
>She notices that someone is talking about her
Hmm?
Awh! What is that smell!?
>she sees Barabass
What. Is. That.
>>
>>2705383
>Blllleck
I am Barabass, faithful servant of the Rot Father,
>He lays his free hand over his gut and sets the staff aside and bows.
>as his face points towards the ground, pus and mucus leak out of his nose hole onto the ground

>she rushes outside and vomits
>>
>>2704990
>Returns with clothes
>>2705402
I see you've met Barb? Here, this won't smell as bad.
>Hands over some nose plugs made from bath salts.
>>
>>2705471
>She catches her breath,
thank you
>she takes them and applies,
What is your name again? sorry im still trying to keep up.
The one you all know as "Antaloth" is probably the only person i trust to any degree around here at the moment, and yet he keeps the company of fanatics, madmen, and now monsters it seems
I just-
I just dont know what to do
Oh what am i saying you dont care
>>
>>2705352
They burnt my parents on the stake. I was there hiding in the woods powerless to save them
I understand what that is like
>>
>>2705520
And in what category do you count me
Don't worry I don't bring my guards to strategy meetings and they won't shoot you
>>
>>2705543
>She looks over, wiping her face
Fanatics. Just blind zealots who refuse to realize that youve already lost years and years ago, your only hope of freedom is to temporarally knock Imperial rule off of the world, even then they will simply reclaim it and wipe the population then populate it themselves, or simply glass the planet and use it as an example for others.
Im tired of playing dumb.
>she turns to face him, something about her demeanor says that she has violence on her mind
And im tired of pretending that there is any hope for any of us beyond acceptance of damnation.
>She storms off
>>
>>2705547
I'll just give your dress to Ant then. Yeah.
>>
>>2705547
Be that way then

I was just starting to see something in you but be that way then
>>
>>2705558
Just give her some time, she believed that everything that happened was some cruel misunderstanding, and that upon rescue she would be returned to our palace across the sea, and then life would be as grand as it ever was

this was not the case. She is adjusting to the reality in her own way. Please do not mind it.
>>
>>2705520
You lump me in with these guys.
If I did not count that as your self evident lack of a proper sourse of information I would have seen that as an insult.
You could spend time with me and learn some actualy useful skills. I hope that night was not to bad.
>>
>>2705554
She is still coming with me, for both of our sakes i refuse to leave her on her own.
And please. An overcoat. Dark green.
>>
>>2705559
I was starting to see myself losing absolutely everything over night seeing it all burn before my eyes. I was six you know when they came I can no longer remember my mother's face but I can remember hers the face of the one that took my life away from me
>>
>>2705567
You identify Imperial nobles as your enemy, when your life was turned upside down me and her were merely children, if we were even born at that time to begin with.
Do not let her get inbetween our alliance Jaan, despite my feelings for her, my loyalties lie with Tzeentch. And he does not favor her at this time.
>>
>>2705159
>bllrrbllle
Welll
>bllleck
As much as i would love to stand here and wither away for an eternity
>HACK HACK
I will go make myself useful at my new abode, much work is needed to make the place spiffy, i will go and do this now
>he nods respectfully then lumbers his way back from wence he came, unfortunately the stench lingers yet
>>
>>2705571
I was saying I se myself in her but she doesn't have a target something to anchor herself against that is what she needs
>>
>>2705576
Im no expert in the ways people think, but if i had to guess
I think she just hates everything
>He looks back to where she went, and thinks to himself for a moment before turning back to Jaan
I do not wish to discuss this further
>>
>>2705584
Ok antaloth I won't talk about it
>>
>>2705609
Now then, Havent seen you in a few days. Do you keep well?
>>
>>2705574
>he lumbers his way back to the new rotting garden to see how the putrification is coming along
>>
>>2705618
Well I have had some internal problems and I have been trying to make that decision
>>
>>2705627
Perhaps i could be of some assistance?
Tell me friend, What troubles you so?
>>
>>2705628
I have been looking for more information about it as I know the decision is final and u know I have to make it soon
>>
>>2705632
What decision is that my friend?
>>
>>2705645
The question about gods and allegiance I have been thinking about it recently I feel I have to have a awnser soon
>>
>>2705654
I pray you make the right choice.
Farewell friend,
>he leaves
>>
“JAY! YOU GOT THOSE DISGUISES DONE! We’ll need a few of ‘em!”
>>
>>2705694
Will I be required for this or can I go back to work
>>
>>2705699
“Well, O7’s plan is to impersonate nobles in order to obtain mining equipment so we can start modifying the caves to our needs. Any way you think you can help with that?”
>>
>>2705702
>They approach
(Antaloth)
There will be no Impersonation, If its nobles they want they will get the real thing
> Unfiltered by his mask, his voice is clear an firm.
>>
>>2705702
I do not think I am the most suited for such a job as I do not exactly look like my Martian cuisines anymore.
>>
>>2705706
For security reasons we might want to acquire uniforms that would be fitting for a nobles bodyguards
>>
>>2705706
“...I’m honestly less inclined to trust you or give you important tasks because you’ve been hiding that from me.”
>>
>>2705708
“I’m fairly sure Jay went to work on those.”
>>
>>2705708
He speaks well, I remember our palace guard, 50 of them could kill everyone under Irvis' command given the proper circumstances.
I miss them
>>
>>2705711
If I did not count that as your self evident lack of a proper sourse of information I would have seen that as an insult. Miss arogance
>>
>>2705711
Are you so sure miss Area I haven't stormed any palaces or such but from personal experience I know they're more show than anything else
>>
>>2705711
“Lady, an eighth of my men are insane bersekers, combat their sole meaning for in life. They exist only to spill blood, only to rip and tear, or, in the case of those that are not literally khornate berserkers and just particularly violent Slaaneshis, spill enemy blood and such a way to create beautiful patterns upon the ground. 50 of your damn palace guard couldn’t kill my men. They do not fear death, they are bringers of it.”
>>
>>2705717

You did not storm *my* palace.
Of course the lesser lords and ladys of the planet had pultry dogs wearing fancy outfits and carapace plate toting a gilded lasgun like they mean something.
My palace is a damn fortress. And now its in the hands of some whore!
>She trys to think of something else, it only makes her angryer
>>
>>2705723
Well if you are doing that we will need to forge a seal and some flashy parade uniforms for the bodyguards
>>
>>2705723
Your palace was probably a weak construction as it was constructed by ignorant fools. much like yourself.
>>
>>2705726
>>2705730
>she bites her lip so hard she draws blood and her fists clench tightly.
>>
>>2705732
Irvis! Promptly requesting permission to violence the enginseer
>>
>>2705732
>The same whisper that spoke to Area when she killed rises again
>"They are right you know... those palace guards... they were weak, bloodless. Veteran soldiers, yes, but not veterans because of prowess, because of cowardice. You do not need bodyguards, they are a sign of WEAKNESS!! Should any try to kill YOU, you will have the sole responsibility to reduce them to a red smear."
>>
>>2705733
"Permission denied, he is far more important than you, as well as being a personal friend."
>>
>>2705702
If I may offer my limited expertise, my lord, I am familiar with the noble caste of this world. As you already know I am a seasoned infiltrator as well.
>>
>>2705739
>Irvis nods

"Indeed you are, every important man needs to have an bureaucrat. Just don't, you know, do the thing while there. That is the opposite of what we want."
>>
>>2705736
>>2705734
(in thought) all will die on this planet, i know this. We will all be wiped out one way or another. These fools think this fight is actually winnable by gathering resources.
I know better
The reckoning is upon us soon, and i will be at the fore front of it.
(IRL) Fine. whatever.
>>
>>2705732
I'm sorry miss if you are offended but you did promise to eradicate my people

If you are to ask for forgiveness I would accept it
>>
>>2705741
Of course not, my lord. It would be most unbecoming of a nobleman.
>>
>>2705743
Im just so confused. Everything hates me. All my life i was adored and cherished and sought after by everyone i knew, then i was taken away and thrown into a dungeon where i was enslaved and starved. Something took pity on me. Something kept me alive. Whatever i said that angered you i said it out of pure anger not logic, i dont even remember my exact words now
>>
>>2705752
>"Do not apologize for Anger. Anger is your strength. Anger is your greatest quality. When the Imperium you once thought existed only to serve you instead chained you and put you in a cage, a cage that killed your father, you felt two things: Anger and Despair. But you did not give into Despair. You discarded Despair, and are left with Anger!"

>"Anger at the Imperium, anger at those that dared to cage you!"
>>
>>2705752
I accept that
When I was six years old they came. I saw my parents and all my belongings burn on the stake. I alone got away that is why I am who I am
>>
>>2705760
Then you should kill them. All of them, no one specific just everyone who you think should die. I hope i fall into that category....
>>
>>2705768
Why?
In you I se myself before I found the old and why would you hope I would want to kill you
>>
>>2705736
I apreciate that you admit that I am important Commander.
>>
>>2705771
I dont want to talk about this, especially with someone i barely know.
>she walks off to a near by hillside and sits
>>
>>2705786
>Smokes his cigar
"Okay then, both the actual former nobles have walked away. Still waiting on Jay to finish the disguises, but as soon as she's done you're moving out."
>>
>>2705820
>The audible noise of a head smacking against a glass wall can be heard
"Let."
>Smack
"Me."
>Smack
"OUT!"
>>
>>2705822
"What the fuck is that?"
>>
>>2705824
"I am rage!"
"I am hatred!"
"I am the tide of emotion that drives fathers to slaughter innocents in the name of the purity of his spawn!"
"I AM THE LORD OF SKULLS"
>Smack
"FUCK!"
"Hnngh, bring me the red-marked female, and i will emerge to assist you."
>>
>>2705824
Sorry. I ate something really weird for lunch... You're talking to me, right?
>>
>>2705829
"Oh yeah, I was wondering where you went out to. What do you mean when you say red-marked female? We have a few that could apply to."
>>
>>2705833
"The woman.."
"Brunhilde."
"My concentration slipped for a moment and a bunch of horrors stuck me in a crystal maze."
>SMACK
"FUCK"
"I need her to guide me out of this fuck fest."
>>
>>2705840
>He leans his head at Brunhilde, who is currently passed out on the table
>>
>>2705842
"I will wait."
>>
>>2705842
Hey soooo... You want to fill me in? I'm not exactly sure what happened or where I was. Come to think of it. That's the last time I let Antaloth "try something out" on me.
>>
>>2705866
"Who are you again? The Bolter Bitches were on our tail, so now we're living in caves. We're going to go steal mining equipment to make these caves nicer"
>>
>>2705869
They are called sororitas. Do not use inoficial names as they can be confusing.
>>
>>2705893
"I can do whatever I want."
>>
>>2705869
You mean the battle hoes? Adeptus sororitas? Oh, Cassius is my name. I just kinda... Seem to dissapear for extended periods of time. I think it has something to do with Antaloth.
>>
>>2705907

"Actually, it's Adepta Sororitas, not adeptus."
>>
>>2705903
I know this.
but it is hart to catalogue what you are talking about if you use inoficial names.
>>
>>2705910
I just call them Sisters based on their other, low gothic name
>>
>>2705910
Adeptus Adepta different slang different worlds.
>>
>>2705911
Oh, I remember you. Weren't you the truck humper that was really REALLY annoying?
>>
>>2705915
No that was the other one.
>sighs
Why do I have to deal with these brutes
>>
>>2705913
No one is feminine and the other is masculine there is a big difference.
>>
>>2705919
Is it racist if I say they all look the same?
>>
>>2705920
No one cares about such minor differences
>>
>>2705926
Thank you! Finally someone gets it! Right...?
>>
>>2705929
No he got it wrong. It is a completely diferent category
>>
>>2705943
Alright, do you have a penis or not? How the fuck do you determine the gender of what seems to be a machine?
>>
>>2705944
You determine it by looking at the genes and from there it is quite easy.
>>
>>2705943
I just call them Adeptus because
A. Its easier and simpler and
B.Its an imperial designation
>>
>>2705842

Brunhilde still is asleep, not responding to anything around her. It seems that one recaf that kept her up for a good three days lead to a hard crash of some sort once it wore off.
>>
>>2705968
You are not supposed to sleep during meating
>Cogran takes out a stim at stabs it into her

Brunhilde would open her eyes slowly still seemingly tired despite the stim. Still she was awake now which was the important part. After a minute she forced herself up and said "What is it? I'm still tired...you know I think when I get the chance to sleep I will sleep quite well, unless I never get to and just die from over exhaustion..."

Regardless, we should put together a secondary team to wait in stealth to intervene should the nobles cover be blown due to grave stupidity on one of the actors parts.

If they are able to strike quickly enough after we are revealed, if it comes to it, we may be able to salvage the operation

In either case, all of those posing as guards or nobles, take these earpieces. They look vaguely like jewellery and will allow all of us to stay in contact
>>
>>2705980
Were infiltrating a nearby mine to get needed supplies, we need non-mutated members to dress up as nobles
>>
>>2705986
We also need guards.
They we can have those wear fully covering armour, so we could have moderately mutated members attend.

I also have two suits of functional sororitas power armour that I can lend toward the mission however it if we attempted to pose as a sister we would probably need a very good actor, some hair dye and a tattoo artist

>>
>>2706004
High nobility love to surround themselves in flashiest and most expensive things

Brunhilde seems confused and in a state of calm. She felt pain and yet it wasn't as bad as it was before the daemonette came around, a part of it being oddly comfortable, oddly pleasurable. She didn't think much of it at the moment, just happy enough she didn't feel terrible and could actually stand up. So she forced herself to her feet and looked as the bodies were dragged off. Letting out a sigh she seemed not to care much that Ivris was dead, but really she was a bit upset about his death. Still she forced herself to speak to the oddly armoured man who proclaimed himself the new commander, saying simply "Did any rules change or not?...sir."

>he got some paper together and drew up the plan

Two teams

Team one: The Face.

Primary asset features: Charismatic, persuasive, not physically mutated/capable of hiding mutation with 100% certainty

Recommended volunteer: Slannesh oriented cultist

Secondary Asset features:
Two guards, full body armour, tall and imposing
Are not to speak for the duration of the mission
Recommend heavy armaments
Suggested volunteer: Chaos undivided cultists

Team two: The Line

Primary asset features:
Backup team for use at my discretion or if cover is blown
All members must be trained in stealth

Team one is to approach the mine and make contact with its controller
Team one is then to show interest in purchasing mining equipment in bulk, making it clear that they are a wealthy noble.
Team one is to use any means possible to acquire a deal, whether this means seducing and bedding the target in question if unresponsive to bribes, bribing them if unresponsive to advances, or improvising if both avenues fail.

Team one is provided with a falsified cheque to be fabricated by whomever is capable of fulfilling this order, a bath and proper hygiene before the operation and clothing fit for the nobility

We can have two faces as long as one of you submits to the authority of the other.

Cassius, while you may be a valid choice, can you speak in perfect high gothic?

Actually, can anyone here do that other than the daemonette?

The one I assign to lead team one needs to be able to convincingly pull off a member of the nobility to even the most insignificant details, as they will be the one doing the most speaking.

Currently my proposal is that the daemonette take the lead on team one, and the second face is a tossup between Cassius and Jay.

We want to diversify skills here. Seduction is already covered. Do either of you have any education or experience with nobility, diplomacy, bribery or buisness deals?
>>
>>2706819
"I have extensive experience with the first three and i can bluff my way through your mortal business deals."
"In any case, even i mess up in regards to that, i can just play it off as my father sent his airhead daughter out to try and be useful."

Meanwhile, Brunhilde was nearby the kitchen, quietly thinking to herself when she felt a bit strange. Soon enough she looked around were she was, seemingly worried about something before it seemed to fade. She didn't think much of it till shortly after she noticed something small in the distance, something like a mouse. Despite the fact that the little creature was harmless, Brunhilde felt an intense fear build up inside her as her heart started beating quickly and soon enough she was running away just as quickly too. Once she was a fair distance away and she could no longer see the creature she sat down, shaking, and wondered what was wrong with her. She had never felt fear like that, not even from that one daemon, and yet that small yet terrifying creature that despite its looks was probably harmless made her run. As she was think and calming down, shaking less and less, she once again felt strange. Soon the area around her ears along with them started to hurt badly, along with a small part of her lower back next to the end of their spine. Soon, the pains location changed to her teeth, eyes and nails before fading. Looking at her hands her fingernails seemed slightly sharper, and so were her teeth. Looking at herself further after feeling something strange on the top of her head and something behind her, she found she had the ears and tail of a cat, both matching her hair in color. While she couldn't see it, her eyes had become more cat like, although that was the final thing that had changed. The mutation made her look different but she still looked like herself, just alot more like if she was a particular kind of abhuman, not that she would know much about those though.

Brunhilde was for the past few hours getting used to her new mutations, and now she considered herself relatively good at controlling her ears and tail. However she thought now was the time to finally start acting doing more than just getting accustomed to the mutations, or 'gifts' as most would call them here, that were now a part of her. Naturally she would head to the command room to check up on things, however she would be hiding her ears and tail the best she could, at least for the moment. When she saw the sister however she smiled at her and waved.

Before moving her head back out again for another breath only to choke a bit on the escaping putrid air. "Please, tell me how you can live with this air, what is your secret?! I'll actually accept you lecturing me about your faith if you do."

>>2709379

Once Brunhilde managed to get another breath of air, she simply would say to what she perceived as a walking corpse "I don't worship any god, and I probably will keep it that way...probably." Before leaving for a moment to actually be able to breathe and then returning after a minute, holding her breath.

Because while that would make some sense, why wouldn't you be effected by it as well? Or are you safe from it because of that whole emperor protecting you thing?"
>>
>>2710213
"Yes to both of those things. Chaos is a foul and insidious infection. It drives men to madness and the worship of monsters. It creates mutation in normal men and women. It's tenants are mindless slaughter, death, madness, and greed. The very ground this regiment walks upon is corrupted by their presence; normal animals have ceased coming to this part of the valley. My shining faith in the Emperor protects me from this corruption. His golden light fills my soul and protects me from these evils I am faced with. If I did not have it, I would have descended to madness long ago."
>>
>>2710224

Brunhilde was silent for a moment before saying "I can...believe some of what you are saying, at least with some of the people here...but...other then no mutation, how is the emperor different? The last time we talked, you never really elaborated on that outside of no mutation, which for me, well...kinda late for that anyway. And from what I have seen from this regiment, while a good chunk of people are stark raving mad, there are a few here who are actually reasonable and intelligent. From my experiences with people who worship your emperor, well, so far, you have been the only one who I have been able to talk to and the only one to be reasonable. The others either were trying to kill me, or in the case of my time here, were already dead or converted before I really could talk to them. So, really, while I don't have that fair of a comparison, it really seems like two sides of the same coin if you get what I mean. I know you probably don't understand my view but, please try to, and I will try to understand your view as well."
>>

"You will not compare the Emperor to the foul powers of Chaos. The Emperor is a protector, a leader, an inspiring golden figure. His name and his holy symbols do not drive men to madness by looking at him. His servants are men, not literal monsters. He is a guardian of civilization, not a sponsor of barbaric war bands."
>>
>>2710250

"Then tell me, why do the men who follow him do such terrible things to innocent people? I know I have said it before but I never knew of the forces of chaos until shortly after the Imperium came, my world, to the best of my knowledge, was isolated and forgotten, only found recently by their forces. From my experience those that follow your emperor may not go mad, but they become blinded by their faith and see anyone who doesn't believe or bows to them as those who need to be indoctrinated, tortured, or shot. Catalina, please tell me, where is the line between man and monster drawn? Is it based on mutations or on the horrible acts they have done? Maybe me and my home world where extremely unlucky and all the Imperials I have come across so far other then you are just those that tread that line, or go past it, but if thats the case, why are there so many who do that? I just...I don't know. I feel like I'm forced to chose the least shitty of two incredibly shitty sides, and I have to say I'm not liking it." Brunhilde sighs before saying "We probably should't be having this conversation here and now but there is no point to stopping now..."

Destroying these heretics before they could grow too large was vitally important; for if you grow to long, a far less merciful force will come to kill you, likely purging a large portion of the planet's population in the same time."

If you find yourself looking like yourself you have done well, but if you have found yourself disgusted, you will know you have become someone terrible." Brunhilde sighs before continuing "That priest? He actually survived all of that shockingly. And unless every god that isn't your emperor is a part of the ruinous powers, I don't think he worshipped any till recently. Actually I have to ask, do you think everyone that falls to chaos is a monster? I doubt it, but if chaos is a purely terrible and evil force why would any good people go to it? I already know the answer, it's more complicated than that and there's no easy definition of good and evil but...you get the point I'm trying to make...neither side is without monsters, that is just a fact of life. There will always be a few horrible people in any large group, and more or less depending on the fundamentals of that group."

“The difference is, the minority of regular humans are horrible, while the majority of Chaos is horrible. There are no good men in chaos, there is no righteousness, no purity or good intention. >In a part of the caves, a collection of cultists are using the stolen excavation equipment to dig through the rock so that they can stop living in tents. They shout at each other over the whirring of the drill

"Why the hell not! We're living in tents! Mine leaks!"

Maybe I'm just biased and you are like most of the other Imperials I have met and because I actually had the chance to talk to you I consider you better then them, or maybe I'm not and I'm actually correct in thinking that you aren't like the others...I don't know. Either way...I plan on getting you out of here."
>>
>>2712686
"Given the size of transmitter, not too far at all. Beyond a mile and I'll be out of range. If I am able to return to my sisters, they could safely remove the collar."

"...Right...Thats good...Stay here for a bit. I'll be back in a few minutes." Brunhilde said before leaving and walking around the camp, and examining the entirety of it, along with potential places for one to sneak in or out of. Hopefully, she would find a good rout that could be taken without being caught. Once her little scouting was done, she would look for a bit of cloth to use as a blind fold before returning to Catalina.

>>2712719
>There isn't really a way out besides the main way that you can find, and the main way out has guards
>>
Rolled 89 (1d100)

>>2712733

Brunhilde wasn't exactly happy with the fact that it seemed like every way she could go was literally only directed to one. So, she would consider a few more possibilities, ones that could be dangerous, and might require Catalina to actually be able to see to go. She was starting to feel like this was probably the stupidest thing she possibly could do, but she already said she was going to do it, and she didn't want to be considered a liar. She also considered options that made a new exit without causing much noise. For the most part she was just considering the options she wouldn't do normally, thinking outside the box, even if a few of the ideas where a bit unrealistic...
>>
>>2712754
>You could tunnel through a wall. Or underground. Or jump out of one of the higher cliffs. Or bribe a guard. Or... wait, does anybody besides O7 actually care about Catalina at all? You might just be able to walk out with her and a flimsy justification and nobody would bat an eye.
>>
>>2712771

Thinking a bit longer, she would look around for some different set of rags for Catalina to wear along with a bandana of sorts. She made sure that they didn't have any symbols of chaos on it or the Imperium, but did look chaos like to some extent anyway. Once she gathered such clothing she would go back to where Catalina was. Once there, so long as no one else was there at the moment, she would hand her the clothing and whisper "Just put this on over your own clothing. It will hide you well enough and hopefully cover your little collar as well. Once you are outside, I'll meet up with you shortly."
>>
>>2712811
>She drapes herself in the heavy clothing and nods.
>>
>>2712823

Brunhilde would quietly whisper "You should be able to leave out the gate easily...Hopefully seven won't come back while you leave." before she simply walked off and left the camp, watching from the outside and waiting for Catalina to get out herself. If all went well, she would be practically scott free, at least for the most part. She still had to do a few things just for her own safety once both of them where out, just in case...
>>
>>2712836
>Catalina gets to you
>>
>>2712854

Breathing out a sigh of relief, Brunhilde motions for Catalina to follow her for a bit as they get further from the camp. Once sure of the fact that she wouldn't be spotted with the guards, she simply would say "Could you please stay still for a moment? I would like to put a blind fold on you, at least before we go any further. I cant let you know exactly where I am, or where the others are. I think you can understand why... Unless of course, you plan on going to some far remote corner of this planet or another and living for the rest of your days comfortably in a peaceful life, but...I doubt you actually would do that."
>>
>>2712864
"I will wear the blindfold."
>>
>>2712867

"Thank you." Brunhilde would say before putting the blindfold on Catalina and continuing for a fair distance on foot. Once she was sure she was far enough away that the base was too far for her to realize where it possibly would be, including changing direction a few times, she would remove the blindfold and say "So, what now? Your just going to try and return to your order and try to find where I and the others are? I can understand why you would do such a thing, after all, you fight for what you think is right and for the nation you where born in, just as I did before my world was taken over by the Imperium..."
>>
>>2712881
"Thank you Brunhilde. I would recommend you leave these people as soon as you can; your mutations are mild enough that you can still live in Imperial society. Goodbye."

>She sets off
>>
>>2712886

Before Catalina fully walks off Brunhilde says quite simply "You know I'm not going to, just as I know your heading back to your order. My mutation might have made me less likely to be recognized by people who didn't know me before I got them, but I'm still being hunted after all. If we meet again after this, no mater if I have lost myself and become someone different or managed to stay strong and remain myself, I hope we will be able to fight one another, and that if anyone kills me in the future, its someone I know and not a face in the crowded armies of your Imperium. I know you won't wish me luck in the future, but I will hope luck is on your own side...Goodbye, Catalina." After speaking, she turns around and walks back to where their base was, making sure to get some clean water along the way, and also making sure to stay away from any rodents as well.
>>
>>2712893
>It takes awhile for Brunhilde to return to the base due to the presence of a particularly large rodent along the way, as well as picking up some water, but she finally returns, though there is an unplaceable dread as she approaches the caves.

>Alpharius stands before the cave entrance, his arms crossed. Catalina lays beaten and bloodied at his feet

Brunhilde gives a confused look, trying the best she can to seem calm and actually genuinely confused instead of worried both for her own safety and Catalina's. "What are you talking about? And what happened with Sevens slave? Because she doesn't look too good, all things considered..." She would say despite the fact she had a bad feeling she was going to be put in Catalina's situation fairly shortly. She knew it was a terrible idea, and a part of herself was kicking herself for this...but at least she was honest with Catalina and actually tried...
>>
>>2712914
>He lans over her

"You are a very bad liar Brunhilde. What do you have to say for yourself? Not only did you nearly reveal out location to the enemy, you also tried to steal something from another member of the regiment."
>>
>>2712922

Brunhilde took a long breath and looked down, smiling slightly as she said "I know I'm a terrible at lying. Its a skill I probably should have learned to be honest. I tried to make sure she didn't know exactly where we would be, despite the risks, though I know you don't care about that because the risk was there in the first place. But really, I'm curios, why do you care about the fact that she was someone else's? Its not like theft isn't something uncommon here. To be honest right now I feel bad for her, especially considering all I have done is unintentionally given her a false hope and a free beating... Still, I guess that doesn't mater now, does it? I am almost certain one of three things is going to happen however, either I'm going to be made a slave, your going to force some kind of test of loyalty on me, or your just going to try to kill me, and in all honestly, you probably could do all of those things easily...So, tell me, whats it going to be?"

Brunhilde was quiet, she didn't say a word after she was declared to be a slave and only really moved when she was slapped. She was still on the ground though, mostly because she was paranoid that she would have to deal with a 'don't do anything unless I say so' kind of slavery. She did however glance at Jaan when he pat her head, she didn't fully believe what he said however, mostly because she thought that Catalina was just blinded by faith and not actually a monster. Still she wasn't too happy about being right about what her punishment would be...but there was nothing she could do at this point.

Brunhilde knew that this was definitely a time where Jaan would really like her to talk, and just as fittingly it was a time she really didn't want to. Letting out a sigh she said "You know, you have to admit some of her words were actually sound, while the others were just her indoctrination telling her what to say. There really was three reasons why I did it. One, she was being quite helpful despite the fact it was clear she probably hated everyone or at least almost everyone here. Two, I simply felt bad for her. And three...well...three is the main reason. I'm afraid I'll lose myself. You probably don't get what I mean but look around, most people here aren't actually sane like you or me, and if I became like them, well...how much different would I be from my enemy? You might call it an irrational fear but look at me, I clearly changed physically and mentally from my time here. You may not know what I mean about mentally but I'll just say I seem to have gained a phobia of sorts right before I gained the physical mutations. Actually, have you felt any different? Found anything more enjoyable or desirable? Maybe find yourself thinking about things you used to never think about?...I just don't want to become like the insane people here, or worse yet, like the majority of the Imperium...." Brunhilde would after speaking just take the rags and try to find a corner inside that was comfortable, or at least as comfortable as she could find that wasn't on any bed, before silently lying down on the rags and closing her eyes.
>>
>>2713720

Brunhilde quietly wondered if he was only making her life not terrible so she would be effective or if she was actually cared about her well-being. Naturally she hoped it was the latter but she was unsure. Eventually these thoughts changed, making her think about Catalina, wondering if she was going to be punished last her, and worrying about if her actions just made her get a free dose of extra particularly painful torture. After a while of thinking about such things with her eyes still shut she managed to fall asleep...

>Catalina cries out for the Emperor, cries out for salvation. For several minutes you are able to do nothing as she beats. Her cries to her god are slowly but surely replaced with cries for the pain to simply stop. Brunhilde at first was unnerved from the unfamiliar location along with not knowing how they got there but certainly not wanting to stay here. When the first branch cut away at her she stopped for a moment from the pain and looked at the wound, and then saw the many rats behind her, causing her to carelessly run away despite wounds being inflicted upon her body by the branches, however once she made it to the clearing she felt a strange fear different from the one caused by the rodents, and that's when she saw the changed and corrupted figures and the brutalized form of Catalina only getting maimed more and more from the two's torture. Brunhilde wanted to do something, anything, but a combination of the worst feeling of fear she had ever felt combined with her wounds forced her to just watch helplessly as Catalina slowly became mangled, barely alive and unrecognizable, and shortly after that, dead. Then the two looked to her, and her mind was in a frantic, divided and barely coherent mess. Parts of her telling her to run, others to try and speak and appease the two, and some simply saying to run. But despite all these thoughts, all she could do was fall on her knees, too scared to do much else. She would close her eyes and just realize that the only way out of this was to beg not to be hurt, to plead with the two, but no voice would manage to come from her, just the air that was in her lungs.

Brunhilde struggled for a bit after they continued beating her before slowly stopping. She wasn't going to survive this, and she was going to die, there wasn't any point to struggle anymore as all it would do is make things more drawn out and painful...after a few moments, eyes closed tightly, she remembered something. When she was set ablaze she found the wounds becoming pleasurable shortly after she was somewhat treated for her wounds, so why wouldn't that work here? It would make this a lot more bearable certainly, so she tried to focus on that the best she could, despite the fact she doubted that it would work.

Brunhilde was pleasantly surprised it actually worked, and quite happy it did too. She stopped crying and soon started to smile, and even laugh. They might kill her, but if they do it will have been with the knowledge that she enjoyed the latter half of it, and she didn't give up on her morality. In a way their punishment turned more ino a pleasant gift, one she would savor, all the while saving Catalina from the pain...but maybe she too could learn how to make such a feeling so bad turn so good, then both she and her would be able to enjoy anything that was thrown at them, and there would be nothing these two who desired nothing more then her and Catalina's suffering would only be giving bliss and delight.

It's s speech I have been working on read it and tell me if my suspicions about it are correct. I promise this is no test I need your help with this
>>
>>2714408
I am so disappointed with you.

So now I’m going to make this quite clear
From now on, you are going to become obedient, very very quickly.

Quite frankly you should be ashamed of yourself.
I gave you the cushiest job imaginable, just to ease you into your new life, but clearly that’s not enough.

You are now branded by chaos, none would ever believe that you were a sororitas and your own sisters would shoot you on sight by the mark on your cheek.

Betraying my trust does not make you a hero Catalina, it only makes your life harder.
And now you have to be punished.

Brunhilde would slowly open her eyes, wondering if this was what it was like to die, only to realize that all that she had gone through was a nightmare that turned wonderful fairly quickly. A bit of her was sad it ended so soon, well, more than a bit of her. Still she would look around for a bit before looking at herself and then at Jaan, where she would take the papers and read them, wondering what exactly it was a speech for, but that probably would become apparent fairly quickly.

>>
>>2714459

"This is meant to be a speech, right? If so, it's as bad as the infamous speech Franz gave that was meant to be serious but sounds more like a funny joke, except that was funny and this isn't. Your going to have to go back to the drawing board I would say...also, I'm a bit sad you woke me up, or my dream woke me up." I shall have Maria come and take a look at you, then you will dress in the blue robes you refused earlier, and begin work.

I am partially to blame of course for your attitude, I have not been taking your training as seriously as I should.

You owe a life debt to me Catalina.

"There is one thing I could do. You see, I actually do have the material to set her leg up right quickly, however, doing so is rather... painful. Unbelievably so in fact. The pain is enough to kill pretty much anyone here except Barabass, and the only anesthetic that would protect against that I do have, but I've been using it for... other pursuits as of late, so it's a bit corrupted by the Prince of Pleasure. Not even to mention the normal side effects of it."

"So yeah, have her in a cast and on crutches for several weeks, or have an operation that will have her be quite high for awhile, and might also introduce her to Slaanesh in the meantime."

Men of the omakaiste!
Brothers in arms! We are gathered here today as the world around us is changing and we must change with it to prevail in these dark times. Our allies have offered us a place among their ranks. Previously this would have been outrageous but now things have changed and there is no longer any reason to remain fully separate. But we will still not abandon our dedication, ferocity and brotherhood in this figth for the freedom...

>Speaking of Jaan, power flows into him, power and pleasure unimaginable. His body accepts the gifts of the Prince. His facial structure rearranges itself. All blemish or imperfection is sanded away, leaving behind an utterly perfect face that will vaguely remind all of a snake. A new forked tongue slithers out and runs over new fangs which drip with paralytic venom. There is a pressure on his back as two new limbs burst free and unfurl, revealing smooth new wings, backed with light-weigh, dark scales, tipped with vicious claws.

You just need to let the pain wash over you and realize its not such a bad feeling, but instead is quite a good one. It might be hard for you, but I know you can do it, after all, at first I hated pain, I didn't even realize that it could be a wonderful feeling, but recently I have learned that its something delightful."

Brunhilde frowns and doesn't move any closer to Catalina, thinking that she needed some space, at least for now. She soon enough would sigh and say "I haven't fallen, at least not that I am aware of. I still don't worship anything, but I had a dream that revealed how pain could be pleasurable. It was actually quite horrifying at first, I was chained down to some kind of weights and tried making my way though a dark forest only to accidentally cut myself on a few of the branches and looking at my wounds I saw rodents lapping up the blood that was spilled." She shivers when she mentions the rodent part of the dream and pauses for a moment before continuing "And because of those rodents, I ran and cut myself more on those branches. Eventually I made it to a clearing where some very twisted form of Jaan and Alpharius was torturing you...and...I couldn't do anything but watch in fear and terror as you where reduced to the point of forgoing you emperor, only to be stabbed in the chest, and I think the heart for it...Then they came after me, and started beating me, I begged them to stop and they said that only if I helped them with their punishment of you...I lied to them trying to have them give me a weapon so I could fight back but...well...I'm still a terrible lair and it was no different in the dream. Eventually, I remembered how when I took one of those flamers as you call them burned me terribly and how after I was healed a bit it felt slightly and oddly good, and realizing that I managed to make their beatings not hurt me...The dream ended with me getting stabbed in the head though, and despite it being a dream the pain felt real, and so too did the pleasure... I can understand you are worried you will fall to one of the gods of chaos but...please...don't force yourself to suffer just because you think a good way to cope with pain is bad and will lead you to some kind of god you don't want to worship...Besides...I don't want to see you like this...miserable and in pain. Thats why I tried freeing you in the first place, and I only made things worse...So please, let me make things better."

After a few minutes and no progress Brunhilde realizes something, and frowns. She didn't want to do this but...if it worked, it would be for the better, right? "Catalina...I think I know why this isn't working...I was being beaten when I learned to enjoy it...I'll give you more stimulus to work with and hopefully you will be able to make such pains turn to pleasures... And I'm sorry for any pain you may feel before it starts to feel good..." Brunhilde would then close her eyes, take her plank, and start hitting Catalina, though she tried thinking that she wasn't, she couldn't trick her self for too long, so she started thinking about how this was for her own good, and that in the end, she would like it and her future wouldn't be filled with pain anymore... But even then she was unsure...she just hoped this worked...

Brunhilde would be partially confused with herself, why was she enjoying this? She wasn't like this before, and she certainty didn't enjoy people suffering...but the tone in her voice, did she like it now? Maybe she did...maybe it was working and that's why she was enjoying this, because she was helping Catalina...yes, that had to be the reason, right? She would say "Sorry, I'll continue, I hope your enjoying this already." Before continuing to hit Catalina, eyes open this time as she tried convincing herself that she was teaching Catalina and that she would be better off for this.

Brunhilde started to smile, yes...she was doing this for not just Catalina's well being but for herself as well, and even if she wasn't enjoying it now, that's fine, she will learn soon enough, and then both of them could enjoy this...Yes, both of them could enjoy doing this to each other, over and over and over again, just for the sake of enjoying it. That would be nice...Though, spilling blood for the sake of spilling blood had its own alure, she thought that wouldn't be very nice of her, after all, she promised she would teach Catalina how to enjoy pain, and she didn't want to go against her promise and kill her by letting all of her blood spill on the floor, besides, this felt so much better then just spilling blood. hopefully this would work if she just did it a little harder, after all, Catalina herself said not enough, so going faster and harder would work, right? Right?! "Do you feel it yet? The pleasure of pain itself building in you? Come on, you can feel it. Just a bit more, just a bit more...After this, if you would like, you can do this to me, and then we can swap places again, and again, and again until we both are too tired to continue. Doesn't that sound good, doesn't it? Hahaha..." If she snapped out of this, she would be beating herself up about it, mentally of course, considering how she would have enjoyed it if she was beaten up physically.

Brunhildes smile changed to a softer, less manic one after what she felt was what she had thought was confirmed, she was doing this for Catalina's own good, and now she could enjoy it as much as she was. She would throw the plank down onto Catalina before taking out her knife. She would give some fairly light cuts to Catalina before noticing the Tzeentchian Symbols branded upon her skin, and wishing to grant her wish for more would drive the knife under the skin and cut a chunk of flesh where the branding where out, although she wouldn't cut too deep, she would still have cut some of the muscle and fat underneath. Once she was done removing all the symbols from her body, she would feel compelled to carve something into her side, almost driven by an unseen force to do so. The carving would be a symbol, one of the god Slaanesh.

Brunhilde was confused at what Catalina said, didn't she enjoy this? Didn't she ask for more? Maybe she lost herself in the moment and after felt she did something wrong...Then it hit her, at least to some extent, Brunhilde had the same thing happen to her, she lost herself in the moment before Catalina even was enjoying it. She felt a little bit bad, but not much, only for the simple fact she was convinced and truly believed Catalina enjoyed it in the end. She would then realize the blood, and the mess she made, along with how Catalina looked. So, she ran off, not because she was worried she would get caught for this, but because she wanted to see if she couldn't find a tub of water of some sort and some cleaning supplies. After all, Catalina, the room, and herself needed to have the room nice and clean so it could be comfortable. She also would get some rags to use as makeshift bandages, mostly just so Catalina wouldn't make too much more of a mess from bleeding, and so she wouldn't lose too much blood, after all, she cared about Catalina, even if in a bit of a more twisted way then before.

Once she cleaned up and Catalina was bandaged up, Brunhilde left, quite happy and unaware of what happened to the mark she cut out. She felt great, and quite happy with herself, although a part of her wondered how long it would take for Seven to find out what happened, of course, she also would tell Jaan if he asked what she did. Still, She would look to the sky and try to see how much time left was in the day before she had to return to the little tent that Jaan resided in, although she was wondering if maybe getting a nice long rest from now to whenever morning arrived was a good idea, or rather one she should do.

>Away from the rest of the happenings in the regiment, Cpl. Lenny Morrison had decided to take it upon himself to train a band of some 100~ cultists. Over the last three days, theory combat effectiveness had increased threefold, with their equipment quality improving as Lenny had taught them how to maintain them properly. What differed from usual renegade regiments is that Lenny not once throughout a training session ever mentioned the name of a chaos god and instead made the soldiers hold faith in firepower rather than some deity.

>While on the mountainside walking with his soldiers to give them rugged terrain training, Lenny accidentally bumps into Brunhilde when scamming the notes he had made from previous training sessions with his soldiers.

“Oh, my apologies. I didn’t see you there.”
>>
>>2716201

Brunhilde was just finished in estimating the time and felt that while a nice long rest would be nice, it wouldn't be needed, at least not this early into the day anyway. She however was unsure exactly what she should do, when a soldier of some sort bumped into her and apologized for it. While she didn't actually mind the fact that someone was unobservant and walked into her, she was a bit surprised at the fact that they actually apologized for doing so, something that was, as far as she knew, not very common, at least in this regiment.

The soldier would be able to see the fairly short redhead woman stare at him with her green eyes for a moment before she said "Oh, its no issue, really, but thank you for apologizing, being polite isn't something that's too common here, and while under normal circumstances I'm probably not the best to talk to about being polite, at least when it comes to people I don't like or combat situations. Either way I at least try to be polite most of the time, anyway." she would then scratch her head, and Lenny could see her black arm band around her jacket, along with a small badge above it that clearly was a part of the jacket that had a blue and white flag of sorts along with words on the outside that's writing seemed odd and foreign.

"Well, seeing how I have nothing better to be doing at the moment, and how its only common courtesy, I'm Brunhilde Von Bothmer, who exactly are you?"
>>
>>2716213
>The woman’s response inspired a warm and gentle smile from Lenny, the opposite of what he usually expresses in front of people given the situation at hand and himself being captured by this regiment.

“Corporal Lenny Morrison, the last remnant of what can even be called a military man in this regiment. It’s a pleasure to meet you Brunhilde.”

>The ‘cultists’ or what Lenny now considered soldiers, sat along the gravel path on the mountainside behind Lenny, eating some of their rations and drinking clean untainted water.
>>
>>2716222

Brunhilde seems to have a similar smile, quite a large one in fact. Although, her eyes seemed to be looking slightly away, for a moment at least before they quickly snapped back to look at Lenny. "Its good to meet you Lenny, I take it you are unlike about half the people here and are at least somewhat sane, so that's nice. I wouldn't say you are the only military man in this regiment however, as I don't think the replacement for Irvis could be considered not a military man...You call those people Space marines, or astarties, right? Anyway, I have to ask, who are you exactly? Just a low level soldier I presume judging by your set up. Not that that's a bad thing, of course." she said before scratching her head again, and...from the looks of things, it appeared she was some kind of abhuman, at least considering what was on her head...that or mutation...come to think of it, her eyes where kinda weird too.
>>
>>2716232
“Not necessarily low-level, but I think I’m one of the only people around here capable of properly training these men to be proper combat-effective soldiers rather than babbling chaff.”

>Lenny arches his brow upon realising that the woman wasn’t normal at all. Seeing her abnormal features, he is wretched with disgust within his mind but keeps a straight face on the surface.

“I suppose you’re apart of the rest considering your obvious mutations. What chaos god do you devote yourself to?”
>>
>>2716162
>Jay leans against Jaan's shoulder as they walk, nibbling on the dried meat.
The flavor is surprisingly well preserved. It's flavor is just meat, but it's better than stuff that tastes like salted leather. I get the feeling it's supposed to be boiled for a soup or stew.
>>
>>2716239

She stares at him for a moment before doing anything else. Apparently this guy thinks of himself as a drill sergeant of some sort, and although him seeming to be somewhat sane at the least wasn't a sign of any kind of competence, it at least meant he probably wouldn't order any suicidal charges, and considering he wasn't an imperial, he probably wouldn't be ordering any normal charges either, so there was that at least. "Well, I hope your good at what you do, though I'm surprised you managed to get so many soldiers to actually join your exercises. And I wouldn't consider myself a part of the rest, I was an ace pilot before coming here and see this armband? It means I currently am a slave, and I actually only got these mutations not a day ago...And I don't worship any god."

She would pause for a moment and glance at all the soldiers behind him, and all of their equipment for a few seconds before saying "That brings up an interesting question though, what god do you devote yourself to?"
>>
>>2716243
“The Emp-“

>Lenny paused before he let himself finish that make. He didn’t want to be shot on sight now. It wasn’t his time to die.

“Well, I actually don’t follow any God. I hold faith within myself and within my weapon.”

“If you don’t devote yourself to any god, how did you attain such mutations?”
>>
>>2716242

> they arrive at a quiet freshwater stream. Along it there is a number of pools usually in areas where there are waterfalls. The water is quite cold this late in the evning but it's remarkably clear and clean
>>
>>2716247

She raises an eyebrow as he almost says Emperor, a part of her was wondering if he did that on purpose, or if he actually was that bad at remaining undercover. Regardless, she wouldn't press the issue, not here at least. "So, you are just a rebel without a god? Alright, that gives me some hope in your ability. As for my mutations, you tell me, I'm not exactly an expert on the ways of mutations. I think it was just because I have been in close proximity with the people here for long enough, but I could be wrong."

She would pause for a bit, and look around at everyone nearby except for Lenny and quietly say "Actually, if you wouldn't mind, could you please come with me for a bit? I can understand if you would be worried or some such but trust me, if I hurt you I would be beaten within an inch of my life...and anyone can attest to me being a terrible lair."

>>2716259

"I just need you to come with me somewhere that doesn't have everyone able to hear us out in the open so I can tell you a few things and ask a few questions, okay?" she would say before looking to her side, searching for a place out of the way so she could tell him one or two things and maybe get him do say something that would be really, really stupid if he said it out loud in front of everyone.
>>
>>2716262
“Alright then. If you’re just gonna pull a shank out on me, make my death quick.”

Brunhilde would walk a fair distance away, the soldiers he was training where a bit away, out of earshot, but if they moved a little bit they would be able to see those soldiers. Once she was there, she sat down and simply said "I felt like saying this considering you aren't like the others, though, most people probably know this already. I was made a slave because I tried to free a slave, Catalina. She is a sister of battle the people here captured, and their new leader apparently found out about it somehow. Now, you may be asking yourself, why exactly did I drag you all the way over here just to tell you that? Well, one, I have more to say, and two, I want to ask you an somewhat important question."

She quietly would look in the distance for a bit before saying "Why are you here, exactly? This place doesn't seem like the kind of place for someone like you. Especially considering you aren't exactly subtle about who you are, or at least you certainty don't seem that way."

It was there I came across this absolute shitshow. So here I am, trying to uphold whatever dignity I and this regiment have left. I separate myself and my men from the rest of the regiment to resist corruption.”

>Lenny lights up a cigarette and puts it between his chapped lips, before puffing out some smoke.

"So, in other words, your a loyalist stuck here? Well, that explains why you almost said the emperor when I asked you what god you follow. To be honest, I actually willingly joined this regiment for the simple fact I wanted to get revenge for my home, and then I grew to like Catalina, despite our differences, both religious and otherwise...I may as well tell you seeing how I have nothing better to do, but, remember how I said I was an ace pilot? I'm from a country called Lannervic on the planet Marasec, or Vandor III as you imperials would call it. Basically, there was a war between my country and Ramora and I was drafted and put into the air force where I became a ace after some time, then Imperials showed up, demanded we all submit to their emperor, all the nations said no, and then my home was invaded, my LARC 18 Roc destroyed, and all the soldiers of all nations on the world who where found and captured by the Imperium either lined up and shot or taken off world to some unknown place. Luckily I didn't get caught, ended up on this world, and well, you probably can guess the rest."

Targeting the undivided in the camp is not simple, whilst some may be waiting to choose a patron others may also just want to remain undivided.

A successful campaign will correctly identify means of changing the wills of both these groups.

We need only gather a large number of them together, in guise of a game night or some other such triviality, before presenting our best side to the masses.

After all, we are all pawns regardless of what we do. It’s best to be on the winning side.

What do you mean “I don’t care how it feels?”

Regardless it’d quite blatant to see that Brunhilde has been here.

I already told you I won’t. You haven’t misbehaved too badly recently.

You should not fear pain Catalina, after all if you are being punished it is because you did something wrong. That means pain is good, as it’s fixing you.

Remember this. When you are being punished it is because you deserve to be punished.

But if I’m honest, you have been very good recently. I think if you keep this up, a reward is in order.

Give me a minute, I’ll have to get Maria to help with your injuries.
>he calls up Maria from the bunks

Now Catalina, I would to take this time to address your concerns. I’m sure that you still have a number of concerns and issues, and I’d feel it prudent to help you with as many as I can. Anything in particular you’d like to know, about your position here, the regiment or myself?

I had not been here long before we met.
I am from a different planet entirely, Benkongeriki Prime.

It’s not too far from here, spacewise.

It was there I grew up, became a follower of fate and eventually set off.
I had a premonition to come to this planet, snuck aboard a ship and here I arrived.

A day or two later and we first met on the battlefield.
>>

>He leaves to see Alpharius
>>
>>2716904
Stop being so afraid.

I found my way to chaos by inspiration.

The majority of my planets inhabitants lived in massive, ancient stone fortresses, free space readily available because you simply could not fill all of the rooms.

Whenever it seemed you got close there would always be another door leading to an entirely new wing, or the rooms would be bigger than you last thought them.

I watched as leadership toppled and rose again in the least likely of ways, as wars to gain power could be swept aside with ease before suddenly resurging at the last possible moment to claim victory for a few hours, until someone who had no stake in anything became ruler.

And from that I saw the truth.

We’re all pawns in a game Catalina, it’s more about being on the right side and making the right moves than anything else.

After all, the greatest of pawns even may puppeteer the King, in time.
>>
>>2716936

After some time of silence and looking up at the sky, Brunhilde realized it was starting to get late, and she would need to return to where Jaan's tent was, in fact she should have been heading there now, she might even be late if she didn't hurry. "Sorry Lenny, but we can continue this talk later, I'lm sorry to end this conversation like this but I need to get back before it gets dark unless I want to get punished. Sadly she didn't feel soar or anything, but still she made it in time and that was what muttered. She would spend a moment catching her breath before entering the tent and laying on her little bed made from rags.
>>
>>2717594
I will now return to my tent but before I do I wich to inform you all about one thing

Currently there is an excavation ongoing in the cave

This excavation is to create new living quarters for us within the caves.

Relaxing on her little pile of rags that probably would be insulting to beds everywhere to be called one, Brunhilde looked up at Jaan, clearly comfortable as while not a bed, the rags where actually not rough. She would say to Jaan "I just got here not a minute ago, but at the moment I haven't been doing anything. But I know you mean what I did during my free time. Well the first thing I did was get a plank and a knife before I visited Catalina and talked to her for a bit before teaching her. I believe I told you I wanted to teach her actually, but I am unsure if I told you what I was teaching her. Just in case I didn't tell you, I was teaching her how pain could be pleasurable, although it was a bit difficult at first she eventually was really enjoying it and asked me to use a knife. After she passed out I cleaned the room and her up, along with bandaging her up so she wouldn't bleed anymore. Other than that I spent some time talking to a soldier named Lenny for a bit and looked at the sky for a bit before running here. Overall I think today was great...But why do you ask? >>
>>2717757

"Oh? Why do you care about what that annoyance known as seven had to say? I think he's just jealous Catalina likes me better than him. Actually can we have Catalina? She looked miserable before I told her how I could make things better for her, and while she was hesitant and thought I had 'fallen to the perverse god of lusts' I was able to convince her to let me try so she could enjoy the pain, and enjoy it she really really did! I know she would be on our side soon, just let me be with her, okay? She can redeem herself, especially with me there to guide her. With seven that just won't happen." She paused before changing the subject a bit "I'm glad you had a good day though. It would be terrible if you had a bad one after all."
>>
>>2717778
For the sister I can't. I know you like her that's why you are here. But I he will not give away something like her because you want her.

You like sleeping on the rug

She smiles slightly, thinking of a fairly simple way to not be found out, at least not without making any assumptions anyway, that should work at least one time. "Okay, but who said he had to give her willingly? As far as I know he doesn't have any friends or allies, and I'm sure you would like more than just one slave, right? Better yet you could have me fight for her, after all he surely could be taken as a slave too if he was defeated by one right? Then you would have three slaves which means more work could be done and people would know to respect you more. Besides, if seven proves to be an issue and continue to resist his servitude you could make an example of him or sell him to someone else for something. Besides, I'm sure you would absolutely love to hear Catalina beg just so she could receive a few more cuts or bruises tenderly given to her, right?" she would pause for a bit, quietly adjusting her position on the rags before continuing. "I hope tomorrow will be just as good as today was. I wonder when our new quarters will be finished. I know it will be nice and comfortable, much more so then here, and it's not even that bad here."

>>2717825

"But it is also your destiny. Want me to tell you a little secret? The destruction of your village, it wasn't a random act of terror; they went to your village for a reason..."

Brunhilde would have walked at a leisurely pace down the road, not minding her current clothing one bit and just enjoying the simple view of nature and the walk along with it. When she made it to the cleaning however she was a bit surprised at what she had seen, although she paid little attention to Jaan, believing that it would be best to leave him alone and let him rest seeing how she thought he was tired. She did however look at the angel and imps that had Catalina's face and seemed to ponder why they where like that, along with checking the intricate chair. She would go over to the chair to inspect it a bit first before doing anything else, feeling it would be important to know how the chair worked and what kind of pain it might cause.
>>
>>2717953
>The chair is a very definite torture device. Any being that sits in it would experience a truly unimaginable amount of pain and suffering.

>A very tempting offer, given your attitude towards pain. Although... Jaan is right there. You could put him in, show him how it feels. He has experienced so little pain. You'd consider putting Catalina in there, but with the imps and such it would be difficult.
>>
>>2717964

Brunhilde would grin quite a bit, she certainly would be having quite a bit of fun, at least sooner rather than later. She thought about throwing Jaan in the chair for a bit but thought it would be better to leave him be for now, after all, she didn't know if he liked pain, though it would be good for teaching him later, if she had the time. However her attention turned to Catalina, whom she walked over to. She was curious why she was crying, along with why the imps where pulling her feathers. "What are you doing exactly?" She would ask to the Catalina's, hoping for an answer that would help her understand what was going on, and allowing her to make a better decision as to what to do.
>>
>>2717997
>The imps answer, each speaking a piece of the sentence

"He he! The fall angel the fallen angel! We are we! She doesn't accept her station! She thinks herself still an angel! Take her name! Take her name! Take her name and the angel will be gone, and what's left will be yours!"

>The angel Catalina moans in pain. The Imp Catalinas laugh. She's so pitiful.

What the imps said made her wonder if they where being literal by take her name or not. Either way, Catalina would know what she ment, and she definitely wanted her. So, for a bit she considered her options before saying "Well then, angel, are you prepared to become a devil? I know what you desire deep inside of you, and I know how much you are suffering trying to hold on, so please, give up. Surrender yourself and let your instincts take over, and trade away your old self for something greater. Live like you never have before, and give up your old machine name for you are not a machine only made to be used until it is broken and then tossed aside, at least not anymore. You will finally find the greatest most beautiful sights and be able to enjoy them. You will feel the most grand sensations you never before would be able to experience. But most importantly, you will be able to truly live unlike how you where before. So, what will it be? Will you join me and truly live or not? You already know the right answer."
>>
>>2718071
>The angel can only moan in pain

"He he! Stubborn she is! Stubborn Stubborn! Won't give it up, no she won't, no she won't! You must take by force!"
>>
>>2718087

Brunhilde smiles and puts a hand under the angel's chin, forcing her head up so she could look right at Brunhilde. "Why do you do this to yourself? You would miss out on so much. I know what will change your mind however, and I'm sure you'll love every minute of it." She would say before moving her hand away and closing her fists before starting to beat the angel, all the while saying to her "Imagine this feeling amplified by so much more, how enjoyable that would be, how much you would give up for even a second of such a feeling. I know you are enjoying this, and I'm doing it not just so you can savor each and every hit but because I care about you and your future. So stop denying your desires and lying to yourself about this. If not for your own sake, for mine." She wouldn't stop until she had her way, she wouldn't stop until she was ready for her most painful and pleasurable experience yet, the one that would turn a angel into a devil.

And what reason would that be? Who are you? One of the Prince servants? If so I am deeply honoured by your presence
>>
>>2718172
"You are right to be honored. And the reason your village was attacked... was because of you. They knew what your destiny was, so they tried to stop it! Their false corpse god used some of his dwindling power and informed his servants via visions of your destiny. They wanted to snuff our your flame before you could find yourself."

>The entity rubs itself against Jaan

"You have a long connection to the Prince. Before the trickster god made the planet forget their ways and take up fleeting and simple squirrel and deer gods, your bloodline had long dedicated itself to the Prince."

Greetings, servant of the pink prince.

How do the gods treat you this day?

Such pitiful fools. To think that a masaker is justified all because someone saw something in a dream? That's despicable and pathetic.

If my blood line is dedicated to the Prince then I am grateful to have found my way back on the path

"Indeed dear Jaan, indeed. You are a perfect receptacle of the Prince's gifts, and there are so many more that could come. How do you feel about losing that silly idea of having just one sex so you can truly experience everything? How about more snake parts."

>It's smile blocks out all other things with its shining light

"All these things will be yours. Dominate, control, make things yours and experience it all!"

Brunhilde woke up feeling quite groggy and a odd coldness instead her that she didn't like. She had another dream, and she wasn't happy about what had happened in it. Still lying down on her bunch of rags she thought about the dream, remembering it clearly just like the one a night before it. She thought about what the imps ment, how was she ment to take Catalina's name? Maybe it wasn't something that they could willingly give up, but then how would she have taken it? Just saying so? She had no idea at the moment what it was she was supposed to do, and she hated that fact, but she did realize one thing, the pleasure of pain and words alone wouldn't work all the time. Maybe, had she used a lighter touch, had she tried something else it might have worked. There where other sensations, feelings, pleasures...she just needed to find them...still, she felt regretful about what had happened, and despite her desire to go back to sleep, she couldn't. Left lying in her scraps of cloth not feeling too well and questioning things, today clearly started off poorly... Although she certainly would have to visit Catalina sometime today, but at the moment she just didn't feel like doing anything but lie where she was and ponder, what she could have done differently.

"Indeed you do Jaan! I've heard that you have quite recently come over to the Prince's side? So very wonderful!"

"Anyways, for you I have a couple options: I have some normal ration-cakes of course, but let's talk other things. There's meat I've gotten from deer, meat from an underground quid thing, and... human meat should it strike your fancy!"

>She laughs

"There's also the special Slaanesh menu, which is just drugs."
>>
>>2718407
I was once forced to eat human meat during a particularly hard winter five years ago. The taste was horrible, and I would rather not do it again

I think ill take the quid thing I think I have eaten enough deer this decade
