Ten years ago, the warrior race known as the Saiyans were annexed into Emperor Freeza’s army. Since that fateful day, the Saiyans have earned the title of warrior race as Freeza’s soldiers, leading the charge onto hundreds of worlds and facing down all who oppose Lord Freeza’s rule. As mighty conquerors crushing all resistance, the Saiyans have earned their reputation as Freeza’s most powerful subjects.

The larger than life tales of the Saiyans, and especially the Super Saiyans, have spread to every corner of the civilized universe. Epics of the golden warrior or warriors facing down demons, wizards, assassins, armies, champions, and even surviving against both Freeza and the Arbiter are told universe-wide. The mere mention of Super Saiyans inspires awe, admiration, jealousy, or fear, depending on who you ask. This has now lead to the Covenant assembling a mighty army 30,000 warships strong to exterminate the Saiyans once and for all. Your actions from this point forward could either save the Saiyan race, or doom them all.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, currently Age 741, the ten-year anniversary of the Saiyans joining the PTO. You the players control Karn, a Saiyan Berserker with a known base powerlevel of 820,000, a general in Lord Freeza’s army, mate to Meloka, father of Chaya, Chilli and Broly(adoptive), and an inspiration to both the other Saiyans and the rest of the PTO. Your current team is:

Meloka-Blaster, 748,000
Chaya-Child, 67,000
Broly-Child, 90,046
Chilli-Child, 34,387

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:
Karn and Cooler faced each other down, and after an intense battle, Karn emerged victorious. After that battle Karn resumed training while Freeza held strategy meetings, Karn occasionally giving imput. But as we rejoin Karn, several days before the Covenant were supposed to arrive...

“They’re here.” you say, eyes snapping up to the sky and looking around. You can’t see anything with your eyes, but you can certainly sense the hundreds of thousands of Covenant soldiers in the space above New Salda. Focusing, you sense out for these powerlevels, and judging by how they’re clustered you’d say only around three to four dozen warships have arrived so far. You then drop to a knee, a hand on Chilli and Broly’s shoulders, Chaya between them. Before you can say anything else, however, klaxons begin going off, and a single voice echoes out over the noise.

”The Covenant have arrived.” a very angry-sounding King Vegeta calls out over the system. ”All non-combatants, to the arena for immediate evacuation. All hands, prepare yourselves for battle!”

“Daddy it’s starting, it’s starting!” Chaya shouts, nervously but excitedly bouncing up and down. The last time she saw a real battle was the Big Gete Star’s attack, she’s clearly scared. Broly and Chilli look less so, Broly seeming ready to fight.
“Alright, listen up kids.” you say seriously, commanding their attention. “I need you all to head over to the arena now, and do what Raven tells you, okay? Your mother and I will take care of this, then you can come back, okay?”
“O-Okay.” Chilli says nervously.
“I will.” Broly says seriously, nodding to you.
“Be safe daddy!” Chaya says, wrapping her arms around your neck. Your sons both hug you as well, you enjoying this last moment of peace before everything goes to hell to its fullest. They then run and fly over to Meloka, hugging her as well, then the three of them blast off over towards the arena, leaving you and Meloka standing alone as Saiyans and a few Tamaraneans begin pouring outside. Many stand ready to fight, but many more Saiyans begin fleeing, mostly children and the extremely elderly.

“Well the big plan is shot to hell, at least for a few minutes until everyone is in place.” Meloka says as she cracks her neck and knuckles. “What should we do now?”

What form should you use?

>Ascended Super Saiyan

And what will you do?
>Begin firing at the Covenant ships from here
>Travel to a less-populated area then begin firing skyward
>Move to the arena, hopefully protecting them while the Tamaraneans and Freeza mobilize
>Fly up towards the edge of the atmosphere and begin firing at the Covenant from there

They have power sensors, so drawing their attention to a minefield should make them go for other targets.

“Let’s move.” you say, blasting into the air. “We need to cover everyone escaping.”
“Right.” she says, following you. You both blast off quickly to the arena, covering the distance in under a minute. Once there, you both head higher into the sky, gathering your ki into your palms. You and Meloka float back-to-back, and being firing off your Hellzone Grenades into the sky. You fire mine after mine, quickly filling the sky with several hundreds of the floating explosive mines. After a few minutes you and Meloka quit firing, examining your work. The entire sky is filled with the mines, and not a moment too soon either. You both watch as hundreds of the Covenant one-man fighters descend towards the arena, and encounter yours and Meloka’s minefield.

As they suddenly descend, your minefield does its job and obliterates the attackers completely, the ships exploding against your minefield. You both watch as more and more of the ships descend, unable to pierce through the minefield you both created. You watch attentively, waiting to see if any break through, but suddenly the explosions stop. Looking up, you see that the attacking fighter ships were all destroyed, and the warships have begun descending. You see a dozen of them headed down towards the two of you, the others spreading out around over the surface of the planet. Looking around you see the Tamaraneans leaping into battle, flying up and attacking the ships. But around the two of you, no Tamaraneans are near.

“What now?” Meloka asks, eyes darting between the twelve ships as she observes her opponents through the few dozen Hellzone Grenades still left in the sky. You both transform up into Super Saiyans, preparing for battle.

“Keep the minefield up for me hun, I’ll take these guys out myself!” you shout, blasting up through the thinned-out minefield. You dash headlong at the nearest ship, easily weaving through the incoming fire as you close to within striking distance of the first ship. Pouring your ki into your fingertips, you fire a Death Slash from point-blank, and your eyes widen in surprise as you exert yourself a bit. While you had been training for this battle, then in your fight with Cooler, you hadn’t really fired off any of your more devestating energy attacks. So when you fire off your Death Slash at it’s nose, and it slices the entire Covenant warship in half, you are quite understandably caught off-guard. You hear a distant cheer go up from the arena far below you, the non-combatants having seen your display of raw power. You smile wickedly at this revelation, these bastards picked the wrong people to fuck with!

“Come get me!!” you roar into the sky, charging to the next ship and firing another massive Death Slash. This time you sice the ship in the middle, the front and rear halves falling separately. While effective, these slashes consume a lot of power and there are another ten ships left, perhaps there are more energy-efficient means of dispatching them. Charging to the third ship, you swatting its blasts aside instead of dodging, you close to it quickly, this time again at the nose. Charging a lesser amount of ki, you fire three Death Beams in quick succession. Each one easily pierces through the ship into the interior, but you’re unsure how much damage you cause. With the turrets still firing at you you leap away, thinking. Suddenly you remember another technique you have that you haven’t used for awhile, and quickly charge up an Energy Javelin. You leap back as you toss it through the nose, charging up another as you fly back. It pierces through the armor plating easily, then after a second you see an explosion obliterate the entire nose of the warship. You watch a moment as this third ship also begins dropping from the air, then turn to the next one.

Your assault continues, tossing three Energy Javelins in the next ship through its shielding. One near the nose, another into the back, and the third into the middle where you sense most of its soldiers inside. The three explosions destroy this fourth ship as well, shrapnel flying everywhere. You feel a shot hit your back, you turning and seeing two of their warships close together, you knowing how to handle this. With them as close together as they are, you have a rather efficient method of handling them both at once.

Flying through a hail of turret fire, you close to grips with one ship, burying your fists into it’s nose and getting a good grip on the ship. With a mighty shout and heave, you swing this ship broadside into the second one, making a shallow ‘x’ as they slam into each other. You feel the reverberations through the ship as they both explode, the blast wiping out most that were inside both of them instantly. You release your hold, the mangled remains of the ships falling gracelessly through the air as you turn your attention to the remaining six. Looking up, you see the rest didn’t get any closer to the planet, and also notice why.

The remaining six ships are all formed up in a loose circle, each charging up their massive beam weapons to fire them all down at the thousands who haven’t been able to flee yet in the arena down below. You also sense with rising panic, that Broly, Chaya, and Chilli are all still down there, having not gone through Raven’s portal themselves yet.

What will you do, you don’t have much time?

“Meloka!” you shout to her telepathically. “Take them out, now!”
“Take this! Rrrrraaaaaaaa!!” Meloka roars, sending ALL the mines she’d placed flying up into the sky at once. You watch as the thousands of them all soar past you, slamming into the Covenant warships’ shields. The sounds of the thousands of explosions right by you are deafening, watching as the Covenant warships’ shields begin failing one after another. Her mines begin to slam into the five now-unshielded Covenant ships’ hulls, the attacks quickly blasting their way through the armor and up into the ships themselves. You watch as the cannons of the five whose shields failed quickly power down, explosions blasting against the cannons and destroying them.

Five of the ships begin listing, but the sixth’s shield is still holding against the onslaught. Your eyes narrow at the stronger ship, quickly dashing through Meloka’s hail of mines towards it. You swat a few of the mines away as you charge, then reach the ship. Charging up, you fire a pair of Energy Javelins both into the side of the ship, flying back as they pierce through. After another moment the two spears inside the ship explode, the blast splitting that ship in two. The ship begins dropping from the sky as the five Meloka destroyed all start dropping as well. You watch the last six ships all crash to the ground, the burning wreckage of the dozen warships littering the forest around the arena.

Extending your senses, you can sense hundreds of survivors among the wreckage. But a few groups in particular catch your attention. In the wreckage of the second ship you sliced in half, you sense a half dozen powerlevels in the tens of millions all clustered together. In the last one you’d downed, you sense maybe a hundred in the low to mid hundreds of thousands, and in a third you sense around a dozen powerlevels around a few million each. None of the three groups are near each other, all spread out in different wrecks.

You quickly gather your power into your right hand, holding it above your head as a massive sphere of power forms. You focus on the six strongest powerlevels below you, a terrible feeling you know what those are. And letting them run around on New Salda could be disastrous, you have to stop them here.

“HAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, tossing your massive attack down at them. You feel your attack hit something and stall, the six powers below trying to resist your attack. “Oh no you don’t! Rrrraaaaaaa!!!”

With that shout you detonate your massive attack, the sphere exploding in their faces. The blast is massive, obliterating that entire ship’s ruins as you sense four of those large powerlevels disappear. As the dust disappates, you suddenly feel the two surviving powerlevels double, but before you can worry about that any more, your instincts suddenly scream in warning at you. Your senses warn you of something behind you, you twisting with a Su Ma. You feel something pass by behind you, twisting faster and kicking back at it. You feel your heel smash and crunch into something, finishing the twist and seeing the body of a Sangheili become visible as it drops down and away from you. With the eleven of them surrounding you, you can’t keep your eyes on all of them at once. You instead shut your eyes, focusing your senses on the eleven Sangheili. The one in front of you moves first, dashing straight at you to slice your head off. As it closes in you twist counterclockwise, the assassin sailing past you. Before it can recover you point and aim with your right hand over your shoulder, firing a Death Beam that pierces through it and a second one further behind you. The rest gasp in surprise as two of the Sangheili drop from the air, unmoving. Meanwhile you simply drop back into your fighting stance, waiting.

“You bastard!!” you hear one shout from your right, as it and one to your left and another behind you all charge at once. You point a finger at each of the ones rushing from the sides, firing a pair of Death Beams and killing them both. However the one behind you closed in successfully. You try to move to the side, but its blade catches you and slashes you in the ribs. Or it would have, but the new armor saved you. You hear the sword cutting into the armor, but it doesn’t completely cut through. You think to the armorer, telling him a simple “thank you” and cutting the communication to focus on the fight. As it begins to pass you, you clamp down around its right arm, shoulder, and head. You aim your left arm at another rushing Sangheili, killing it with another Death Beam as well, then poke the caught assassin’s head with the same finger.

“Wait, don’t do this!” it shouts, helpless. Another three are rushing you now, determined to kill you. One is approaching from the left and in front of you, another from the left and behind you, and the last is to your right and slightly in front of you. Wasting no time you point your left hand’s index finger over your shoulder and fire again, while with your right you release the Sangheili enough to grab it by the head and throw it at the one coming from the right. Those two slam into each other as you turn your right hand and fire at the other to your left, while with your left hand you fire at the two you slammed together. The beams all hit their marks, you feeling their kis vanishing.

And then there were four.

Ahhhhh yeah, as badass as I hoped for

>>2711999
The last four, one to each side and one in front and behind, all rush as one. The four Sangheili all shouting really loudly as they charge for some reason, you’d never heard them at this volume before. Their shouting doesn’t break your focus however, your senses tracking each one as they close in on you. As they all try to attack, you move. Twisting your upper body 90 degrees clockwise, you narrowly avoid the one behind you’s stab. But as you twist you also lean back, dodging the one who was in front of you’s overhead cut. But you couldn’t completely avoid them all. The one who was to your left, and is now behind you, his blade scores a shallow cut on your right bicep as the one now in front of you stabs at your head. You lean further back, his blade grazing the cheek and eyebrow of your right eye. It stings, but isn’t a very damaging cut all things considered. Especially since he stabbed the one now behind you square in the face. You watch the realization dawn on his face as he realizes he killed one of his own, you Death Beaming the two to your side before putting him out of his misery as well.

However, there’s no time to celebrate, as two huge green beams of energy fire at you from the planet below. Looking down from where they came from, your earlier suspicions were confirmed as you see two of the large hulking creatures were the ones firing their arm cannons at you. You sense Meloka off fighting the mass of those with powerlevels in the hundreds of thousands, already half of them are defeated.

What will you do now?

You quickly gather your power overhead, again firing a Super Energy Bomb downward at the two creatures. You’d rushed it, not packing as much power into it as you could have before tossing it down. You throw the orb straight down at the two, but they fire their beams back at it, the two green beams piercing straight through it and directly at you. You don’t have time to dodge, crossing your arms in front of your chest to block the beams. You feel them both slam into you, blasting you further from them and into the sky. After a few seconds their attack ends, you swinging an arm and clear the smoke aside. Your eyes widen in surprise as you see one of the creatures is suddenly right in front of you.

Before you can react, it slams its cannon arm down on top of your head and sends you crashing downward. You feel yourself flying downward, flipping in the air and reorienting yourself. You see the one below you leaping up at you, charging its cannon. You see this attack coming, twisting past it’s arm as it fires another beam up. You land on the ground with a crash, the one who fired his cannon slamming back into the ground beside you, the force of his arm cannon shooting him back down to the ground. You rise into your defensive stance, the creature turning to face you. Before either of you can react, the one who smashed you down to New Salda lands, the two of them turning to face you.

You glare at the creatures, both making their roaring sound at you as their power slightly rises again. They begin charging together, rushing headlong at you. As they close in you quickly draw your regular Energy Blade, and slice the two of them to bits within seconds. Deactivating your blade, Meloka then lands beside you, you seeing a few scratches on her armor as well as a few Needler spikes sticking out of it.

“That’s the last of them.” Meloka says. And of course as soon as she does, you both sense another hundred-ish Covenant warships appear. You sense the now millions of Covenant surrounding New Salda, you and Meloka sharing a look. “Freeza and the Tamaraneans are up there now holding the line, but do you think we should join in? We can’t get up into space, but we can still help out, right?”

“We could.” you say, returning back to your base form as you sit down on the ground. “But we should wait here for now and rest up while we can, no need to push ourselves yet.”
“What? But what if something happens?” Meloka asks you, returning back to base form as well. “What if something bad happens to them, and we’re just sitting here when we could be out there helping?!”
“I believe in Lord Freeza.” you say, feeling his ki spike as he transforms into his final form. At this you lay back on your back, hands behind your head. “And I believe in Komand’r and Koriand’r, and their men as well. We can’t win this entire battle by ourselves, we have to trust our allies to do their parts.”
“I guess.” she says, flopping down beside you. You both look up into the sky, seeing the very distant explosions from the battle raging in space. You keep your senses trained on the battle, closing your eyes to better help you focus.

That first wave of Covenant warships meet unexpected resistance in the form of the Tamaraneans, but perhaps more terrifying for them would probably be Freeza himself. His final form’s power after training with just a few months with you is insane, now over one hundred million. And you feel him unleashing his new power against the Covenant, a small smile coming to your face. But that smile soon fades, as you feel more and more of the Covenant forces arriving. You couldn’t possibly count the number of Covenant forces above New Salda now, and as the battle overhead rages you begin to sense Tamaraneans falling in battle as well as Covenant. As the war above you rages, you begin to sense Covenant ships breaking through in places, overwhelming the Tamaraneans and Freeza both with sheer numbers.

Your eyes snap open, sensing a few dozen ships breaking through the barricade far above you. You and Meloka both leap back to your feet, instantly returning to your Super Saiyan forms.

You look over to Meloka and nod, you quickly refocusing on the four dozen Covenant warships above you and gathering your ki. You sense Meloka gathering her power, preparing to attack as well. You gather your power for your attack faster than Meloka, tossing Energy Javelin after Energy Javelin into the sky. The first dozen you throw all hit the same four ships, blasting them all from the sky. As you take aim at the fifth ship, Meloka’s finally ready to attack.

“I’ve been waiting to try this one out on something!” she shouts excitedly, you turning and seeing huge spheres of ki held in either hand. You watch as she tosses the two spheres towards the incoming Covenant warships. You watch as the two ki-packed orbs travel skyward, and just before they reach the two nearest warships, they explode. You watch on stunned as the two spheres explode into dozens, no, hundreds of her explosive blade shards. The blades easily pierce through both the ships’ shields and armor plating, burying themselves inside the ships.
“Is... that all they do?” you ask, turning to Meloka. She simply smirks, not looking away from her attack. You turn back, just in time to watch the ships both explode. Your eyes widen in surprise, turning back to Meloka questioningly. “Wow, that was impressive. Have you been working on that one long?”

“Its been tricky, but it seems I finally got it to work.” she says with a smile at you. “Now let’s finish these ones off!”
“Right!” you reply, resuming your Energy Javelin barrage as Meloka begins charging her power again. Instead of using that attack again, however, she joins you in firing off Energy Javelins into the sky. Your aim and Meloka’s aim both are true, destroying over two dozen of the warships each in short order. But as you both destroy ship after ship, you notice the last dozen the furthest away have begun taking their positions above you both. You look up and see the glow of their cannons preparing to fire. Before you can do anything else, all twelve fire down right at the two of you.

You assume much. I’ll say this much, for full disclosure. Warning, spoilers:
Less than 700/30000 Covenant warships have been destroyed so far.
>>2712980
>>2712982
Those are both valid concerns. I will say this, he won’t make his grand appearance until either you all are severely weakened and tired, or morale’s fallen so low he takes to the field himself to boost it. And a seige is quite different than a ‘normal’ battle, you have to pick and choose your targets, as well as choosing when to engage and when to back off and rest. It’ll be interesting to see how it develops.
>>2713001
That’s certainly one option. There’s a few things you can do when we resume.
>>
>>2712976
So what have the other Super Saiyans been doing, anyways? Feels like us and Meloka have being doing all the work planetside, unless they were just off-camera.
>>

Well fuck, this might last another thread next week, unless a certain shapeshifting Master of Darkness unleashes an unspeakable evil horrifying enough to not only terrify most people on our side (including us!), but devastating enough that it destroys a decent chunk (1/3rd?) of the covies and forces the Arbiter to come on down.
>>

>>2713222
I’d said before that this battle will last quite some time.

You and Meloka watch as the twelve Covenant warships above you all fire their glassing cannons right at the pair of you. But before you can react, there’s a massive roar behind you as you sense a sudden spike of power. Turning to the sound, distracted from the Covenant a moment, you see a giant malformed Oozaru. Looking closer as it fires a massive Mouth Blast in a cone above you all, you notice a familiar scarring pattern. It’s Tatsu!

“Hurry up you two!” he thinks to you both urgently. You both turn back to the Covenant warships, seeing that their combined power is quickly overwhelming the older Saiyan. But he has bought you a few extra seconds if you need it to charge up something big. “I can’t hold this back much longer!”

You look over to Meloka and nod, throwing your arms wide as she nods back. You begin gathering your ki into your palms as Meloka floats over to you, putting her back to your chest. You both charge your ki as the eleven blasts overwhelm Tatsu, the attack drawing closer and closer. Your gathering energies shoot off from you both like lightning, carving smoking lines in the ground as your ki rises higher and higher. .Meloka slams her palms together, energies mixing as you bring your palms to the sides of hers, adding and combining your energies together.

“FINAL FLAAAASH!!!” you and Meloka roar together, firing your colossal golden beam. It slams into Tatsu’s attack, pushing back the Covenant warships’ beams easily. You both push, sending your enormous attack right at them. They have no time to move and no way to evade, the awesome power of your attack obliterating six of them at once. Your beam engulfs and destroys them, and doesn’t stop there. You push your beam further, blasting out into the battle above New Salda. You feel at least two more ship’s worth of Covenant kis disappear, continuing your attack another few moments before letting it end. You drop your attack with a sigh, panting slightly to catch your breath. Meloka’s already moving, however, leaping into the sky to handle the five that avoided the attack. Tatsu sits down heavily beside you, the earth beneath you trembling as his Oozaru weight slams down.

“So far we’re holding firm, the plan’s working.” he thinks to you as he lays back on his back, panting in exhaustion. “Freeza and the Tamaraneans are holding the worst of it back, only a few hundred have managed to make it into our atmosphere. But they’re taking a beating, they’ve already lost around a tenth of their total number. And we’ve barely scratched the surface of what they’re reportedly bringing.”

“Damn, I thought they’d be doing better than this.” you reply, popping your neck as Meloka lands back down beside you. “No matter. We have to trust them to do their part as long as they can, the less we have to fight all at once the better.”
“Agreed.” he replies telepathically, forcing himself upright. “For now-“

What he was about to say is forgotten as more and more of the Covenant appear far overhead. But as soon as they do, millions of the ki you sense are wiped out, Freeza’s work no doubt. Tatsu rises up to his foot and takes off, saying he’s needed elsewhere. You sense out over the battlefield, trying to get a read on the situation.

Directly overhead you can sense that the Tamaraneans have the situation under control, the Covenant seemingly being repelled. Elsewhere, however, the battle is a different story. Directly overhead the city, a dozen-ish warships have broken through. You sense other Saiyans engaged with them, their Oozaru forms’ power flared high. Tatsu seems to be headed that way. A bit farther in over the expansive forest you sense a few dozen warships having broken through, no one yet on the scene to respond. You sense a dozen or so Saiyans headed that way, none yet Oozaru or Super Saiyans.

Elsewhere, more are breaking through. Near the Guardian’s island you sense another few dozen breaking through, the ancient alien all alone against them. And in two other spots over the vast ocean, even more warships have broken through, making their way towards the mainland.

“Shit, they’re everywhere.” you mutter, Meloka’s brow furrowing as she senses them as well. You can’t be everywhere at once, you have to choose where to go next.

It's a fact that we're not going to be able to save everyone.
We can only do so much, and the better we do, the more lives we'll save in the end. We need to stick together with meloka so we can cover eachother's asses, reduce the strain on eachother and stay in the battle.

Further, we need to assist the guardian, since he's a larger war asset than tatsu and is also important to king cold and several of our friends.

“There’s too many of them, we need to split up for now.” you say, thinking of a plan. “Opposite directions, cover more ground. I’ll help that battle about to start over the forest, if you’ll go help the Guardian. He’s all alone, he needs support.”
“Right, I’ll help him.” Meloka says, rushing to you and embracing you tight. She then gives you a quick compassionate kiss, pulling back with a slight flush. “Be safe.”

“You too.” you say, the two of you blasting off in different directions. Your flight is somewhat short, in less than a minute the Covenant warships come within your sight, and you realize your initial estimate was a bit off. More ships are pouring through that gap in overhead coverage, at least sixty are currently within the atmosphere in your view. As you close in, you see a few spheres of ki appear above the treeline. Realization dawning, you quickly avert your eyes and focus on the warships. As you finally arrive to this battlefield, you feel the ki of six of the dozen Saiyans suddenly grow ten times in strength, hearing their primal Oozaru roars of challenge. Several of the warships begin releasing hundreds of the small attack craft while another half-dozen of them begin firing their massive lasers straight down into the forest itself. Their blasts begin leveling the forest, perhaps clearing out a landing zone? As that is all happening, you watch as they all begin spreading out from the breach, preparing to spread over the planet.

What will you do?
>Rush headlong and attack the warships
>Rush and attack the fighters, sweep them aside

You soar past the Oozaru without slowing, you hear a cheering roar from them as you pass. You mostly ignore the wave of incoming fighters, firing a Dual Energy Wave before you to clear the ones in your way aside. You fly through the explosion-filled air, breathing in the fumes as you quickly close in on the nearest one trying to clear a landing zone. With your ki gathered into your fingertips, you swing your arm down vertically and and send your Death Slash slicing the ship in half. Your attack cuts straight through the ship’s laser weapon, it detonating in a massive explosion that consumed most of those inside the ship as well. With the new weakpoint discovered, you charge up a pair of Energy Javelins, preparing to throw them into the next-nearest, when suddenly you sense something fast-approaching from your left. Turning, you see nothing, but sense another Sangheili closing in. With a shout you toss your right-hand Energy Javelin, the spear finding its mark. The split-jaw becomes visible as it is dragged along by your spear, the attack detonating before it reached the ship you’d aimed it at. You toss the other, but again your attack is intercepted, this time by one of their fighter ships.

“Grrrrr! Dammit!!” you shout, charging up another spear in your left hand as you charge that next ship. This time, you’re determined to leave no room for error. You quickly dodge blasts and smash through the weak fighters on your way to the second ship, tossing your first spear point-blank into its planet-cleansing weapon as you charge a second. You toss the second spear into it as well, then fly up and over the ship. After a second or two both of your spears explode, again detonating the massive weapon and obliterating the warship. You watch as the explosion tears the ship in two, the small fighters helpless against the shrapnel. As the now-empty husk drops from the air, you turn your attention to the remaining four. Not taking any chances with more of your ranged attacks being intercepted, you charge the third ship, gathering your ki as you go. You smash your way through the fighters, ignoring the beesting-like shots from their blasters as you charge. But they aren’t all that stands in your way.

As you close in to the third ship, you sense another pair of Mgalekgolo, the two each firing another of their green beams at you. You twist past the powerful attacks, focusing on them as you charge up another pair of Energy Javelins. They each fire their beams at you twice more, you easily avoiding their attacks as you close in. Before they can charge up to fire a third shot, you use the Su Ma and twist, flipping upside down and charging head-first at them. With a shout you slam an Energy Javelin in each of their arm cannons, the force of you slamming them inside the cannons flipping you back upright. You stomp on their heads to launch yourself vertically, backflipping several times as you charge another pair of Energy Javelins. You watch as the two you’d slammed inside their cannons detonate, blasting the Mgalekgolo apart. With a shout you toss them down between the two scorch marks, your spears burying themselves deep inside the ship. That accomplished, you turn to the fourth ship and blast off, you hearing the third detonate behind you.

The remaining three ships all deactivate their cannons as one, restoring power to their turrets as hundreds of guns now turn towards you and open fire. You charge headfirst through the overwhelming volley of fire, activating your Barrier around yourself. The Barrier does its job, deflecting any shots that come too close as you rapidly close in to the fourth ship. You charge the roof of the craft, slamming your left fist into its armor plating to abruptly stop your charge as you charge up another Energy Javelin. Your momentum doesn’t vanish, instead your body is swung around by your left arm until your boots hit the surface. You pull back your left while tossing an Energy Javelin through the hole, firing another three in quick succession then moving on to the next craft. The last two go much the was as the other four, you quickly destroying the lot of them.

Once the last one’s finished, empty hull falling to the planet, you look around and check on the rest of the battle. The Oozaru Saiyans are easily handling most of the other Covenant warships, blasting them down with concentrated fire. The regular Saiyans are also fine, keeping the attack ships from destroying the Power Balls. You sense more ships incoming, as well as several fleeing the sight of this battle and perhaps looking for somewhere else to land. The Tamaraneans overhead are rushing to fill the gap in their defenses, but you know that several dozen will get through before they can.

What will you do?
>Fly higher up and at least slow the incoming tide
>Fire off your Hellzone Grenades to make a minefield between the Saiyans and ships here, and space
>Hunt down those trying to sneak away, keep them from causing trouble
>Help the Oozaru with the warships already here, then everyone focus on filling the gap

You quickly gather your ki into your palms, preparing for the next wave. Your energy rises higher and higher as you prepare to attack. Just as you reach your limit you then unleash your Hellzone Grenade upwards into the sky between you and the Covenant warships far above you. You fire off mine after mine, filling the sky with powerful explosives. Mine after mine after mine after mine, you toss the explosives over a wide range, turning hundreds of square feet in the sky into a deathtrap. You’re focusing hard on the task, mentally keeping track of where each mine is so you don’t accidentally throw two into each other.

Unfortunately, you were focusing too hard on your attack, not paying attention to what’s happening in the skies above you. You kept throwing mine after mine into the air, after a few minutes you notice a deep humming noise. Looking up, you can’t see anything through your minefield, but you can hear something happening. You keep looking skyward, wondering why the sky is turning red in the middle of the day. Your eyes widen in surprise, realizing at the last moment what’s happening above you. You watch as a massive red light begins consuming the mines directly above you, you panickedly crossing your arms in front of you to block. The beam from one of the Covenant’s ships slams hard into you, you feeling a burning sensation all over the front of your body. You feel the blast slam into you, driving you into the ground as the world around you turns red.

QM STRATEGY REPORT

Just as a quick note, as of the end of each of these episodes I’ll be posting some information pertaining to how the battle is progressing. Starting with the casualties for each faction:
>Covenant
28,756/30,000 remaining warships.
>Tamaraneans
269/302 remaining, including both princesses.
>Saiyans
6098/6109 warriors remaining, including Meloka and yourself.

And for morale:
>Covenant
High morale, they’re still highly confident in their victory.
>Tamaraneans
Morale is still somewhat high but its falling, they’ve lost quite a few already.
>Saiyans
High, many haven’t even gotten the chance to join in battle yet.
>>
>>2716366
We're not even at the 25K Remaining point yet. I do feel we need to cover for the Tamaraneans for a short bit while they get healing podded, then we can switch places again - they're pretty damn useful and they lost like 31 of 302 (a full tenth!) and each one is at least a million base. They're one of the key factors of the fight on our side, especially breathing in space. We need more Saiyans doing low-energy (easily regenned) spam attacks on ships to death-of-a-thousand-cuts them, but Saiyans should be focusing on preventing ships from landing or firing glassing beams - I hope they were all told that the beam cannon part of the underside is a weak point?
How is Guardian holding up? Where the hell is Ubo with his 6 million?
Another thing to consider would be how Freeza and Cooler are doing, since they have low stamina (unless that changed with Freeza's training grind). I feel like we need to take over for the big boys soon, then we can healing pod back up quick - but once we leave the fight and the big boys + Tamaraneans take over again, the Covies might fight harder knowing we're not there. This'll be tough...

What does everybody else in-thread think?
>>
>>2716369
>we need to cover for the Tamaraneans for a short bit
If you pull them back, you’ll only have Freeza between New Salda and the entire Covenant fleet. You could have Raven reopen her portal to send them to Planet Azar for a rest, But that would give the Covenant a strategic advantage.
>I hope they were all told that the beam cannon part of the underside is a weak point?
You’ve only just discovered this weakness today.
>How is Guardian holding up? Where the hell is Ubo with his 6 million?
>6 million
Ubo is currently at over 18 million powerlevel. And he’s on Planet Azar actually, along with the second wave. And the Guardian’s fine, Meloka’s rather impressed by what he can do. But now she’s wondering, “Why the hell didn’t he do this to us when we landed here?”
>Another thing to consider would be how Freeza and Cooler are doing, since they have low stamina
Cooler hasn’t come back yet. He’s waiting for his surprise flanking sneak attack. As for Freeza, his stamina’s fine. Actually, he’s enjoying himself, and pretty high on his new power.
>>
>>2716383
>pretty high on his new power.
best to give him a call as soon we know of this, losing yourself in that battle high can have devastating consequences.
>>
>>2716387
He’s enjoying how easily he can throw what feels like minuscule amounts of power to him and cause such tremendous devestation. Whereas before training he would have had to put some actual effort into managing attacks of that scale. Also, he’s not yet in his 100% Full Power form. But in his Final Form he’s still over 100 million powerlevel.
>>
>>2716437
Glad Freezypop is enjoying himself, but we could to to remind him we're in a fucking siege and the Arbiter isn't even here yet. Less is more.

>>2716383
>You’ve only just discovered this weakness today.
We need to broadcast it to everyone on our side the moment the fighting lessens and before the next wave shows up.
>Ubo is currently at over 18 million powerlevel.
That's our Ubo!
>spoiler
FUCK
is that the reason why we aren't fucking overwhelmed yet? They got held up or split off? Why is Raven not telling us about the second wave on Azar? What is going on?
>He’s waiting for his surprise flanking sneak attack
Right now its small fry waves so he still needs to lay low.
>>
>>2716498
He’s running around at essentially half power(as are you and Meloka). But may still be a good idea.
>We need to broadcast it to everyone on our side the moment the fighting lessens and before the next wave shows up.
May be a good idea.
>FUCK
is that the reason why we aren't fucking overwhelmed yet? They got held up or split off? Why is Raven not telling us about the second wave on Azar? What is going on?
I want to correct this right now: its YOUR side’s second wave. Vegeta, Bardock, Turles, and Ubo, along with the Saiyan Royal Guard are all waiting on the signal to jump into the battle.
>>
>>2716500
>its YOUR side’s second wave
Okay I thought the covies went back to Azar too, and we would be ganked on both sides. Glad to know this is just a solo planet invade. Aku is also hiding and waiting for his signal, right? Same as Cooler?
>>
>>2716589
>Aku is also hiding and waiting for his signal, right? Same as Cooler?
Cooler is waiting. You haven’t seen nor heard from Aku since he left
>>

>>2723341
Again, not a Saiyan tradition. And the Ginyu Force all chipped in and commissioned something for you both, but it’s still not done yet. And Vegeta’s been preparing for a large scale, potentially long-term siege. He’s been dealing with the logistics of supplies and his own training. But because of his efforts, if everyone were to fall on New Salda, the survivors on Planet Azar have the transportation and supplies to get to another world and start anew. He also talked with Future Chaya and knows failure is an option, and prepared for the worst.

>>2723451
>freezia better sic the pto legal team on him. we gotta protect our image!
No, Freeza cut a deal with him well before the battle. The PTO gets 80% off the profits Vox makes off this battle in 3 years, and 50% of battle-related merch sales for 5. This will be used to help pay for the reconstruction post-battle. Vox readily agreed, for exclusive on-scene filming rights for the biggest battle in over a century. He has well over 200 cameras there filming. This footage will bring profits to him for several years to come.
>>
>>2723485
80 percent holy shit... did he suck his dick for that deal?
>>
>>2723485
Bro that just adds extra crunch. Like having nuts on or in your banana bread. Texture is great. So what if it sounds inedible, that just sounds like your stomach isn't giving 110%.

>80% of profit off of a TV host
What is he making, five-million lifetimes worth of dosh off of this broadcast? Holy hell.
>>
>>2723490
Freeza can be very persuasive. And intimidating. Plus that exclusive access is very very tempting, with no one else able to get ANY of this footage until he releases it. And not all of it is going out live. Less than 10% of that footage can actually go out live. He’ll play it smart, there will be holovid collections following different groups or individuals released, a “funniest deaths” compilation, master collection with days worth of footage, and more. Then with the merch, there’s so much more profit to be had! Action figures, strategy games, card games, costume uniforms, golden Saiyan wigs and special green contact lenses, (fake hair)Saiyan tail belts, light-up Energy Blade toys and other fake covenant weapons, the possibilities are endless!
