Water... Earth... Fire... Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them. But when the world needed him most, he died. The Fire Nation, both knowing his destined place of birth and fearing his arrival, wiped out all the Air Nomad Temples. When their reincarnations rose to oppose the Fire Nation, they were slain too.

But now there is a new Avatar, one named Kazuki in the Fire Nation, but he has a lot to learn before he even realizes what the Fire Nation is doing is wrong. But one day….I think Kazuki will save the world.

Voting period will last twenty minutes. Rolls will be out 1d100 and be the best out of three

“You no good, double crossing, yellow bellied, scalawags!” The captain yells, “Don’t think I’m going to forget this, no sir, soon as we’re through with this every pirate in the Four Nations is going to know the lot of you would sell out your own mother for a...”

A tendril of the bright, blue waters of the ocean grabs him from the back and pulls him down into the ocean. You skid away using your airbending, avoiding the one meant for you and likewise you didn’t notice. In the mob, you see a tan man, with a fur of a sealion wrapped around his waist like a belt...in a martial arts stance, getting into another motion with it….

>Try to fly away

>Airbend and blow him off the ship

>Create a wall of fire in front of you, blocking him off.

>Charge the benders in the pirate group, starting with the guy in the furs. Try to break or disable hands.

>>2756803
Yeah, I'm wondering how well this can actually turn out for us.
>>
>>2756816
At best, it makes us look stupid. Since, if he's a half decent bender, can now encase himself in his element.
>>
>>2756820
I'm fighting a knife fighter, instead of breaking his limbs...lemme kick him into a room that has racks on racks of knives.

>>2756827
Kek, hopefully he doesn't sink the ship.
>>
>>2756827
To be fair, kicking someone into a room full of knives if they're a knife fighter still has a chance of hurting them. They don't get damage resistance (sharp) in their advance tree... or do they?

Nah, he's just gonna try and get us underwater and drown us. It's what I would do.

>>2756840

>>
>>2756835
My analogy was about choosing a less than stellar option, that makes our whole situation worse. Sure, he get's hurt a bit. But now the ball is in his court. It just screams stupid. We're a trained martial artist. We can go toe to toe with a friggin chi blocker.
>>
It isn’t second nature to you yet, but you’ve always been quick. You make three gestures and thrusts with your body and arms, before the waterbender in the furs could do a single one. Right as he’s about to swing his hand around, a gust of wind slams into his stomach. His limp body manages to knock prone about three other pirates, before it’s fully carried by the wind out into the ocean.

The roars of anger drown out any other sound you can hear; the tendril of water collapsing onto the deck however blocks out their line of sight. There are a dozen of them left, two of them benders. Each is armed with some type of melee weapon; there was no doubt the benders were the total sum of their ranged capabilities.

>Use your firebending to take out the other two in a quick fashion, two fireballs should handle it.

>Try to fly away

>Charge into the mass of them, using your airbending again to dodge, using martial arts and firebending to begin to break them up.

>Create a wave of fire all over the mob

>Fly towards one of benders and beat him.

ou charge into the group of them the moment their guard is down. A storm of steel follows the first punch you land. As chaotic and random as the blows are however, they are telegraphed early and obviously. They roar like thunder, but don’t nearly move as quick as it. You are positive by the time you disengage, there isn’t even a fiber no your shirt that is split.

You on the other hand, do a lot of damage. Your firs punch completely knocks out a pirate bearing a eyepatch; his fat body slumping on the ground manages to causes the man behind him to slip over him and strike far out far too early, letting you not only dodge but plant a boot on his chin with a quick, straight kick. Three slashes from a sword slice down behind you during this, but you step up onto the kicked man’s hand as he falls, unleashing a burst of flame that causes the three behind you to bust on fire and roll on the ground in pain.

You know leap out of the mob itself, waiting for it to chase you. Sure enough a giant with a double bladed ax rushes forward. You spin behind up the moment he brings his ax up, and elbow him in the back and then kick out one of his feet. When he falls, you step down hard on his head. Two more rush towards you, swords drawn and circling around you in different directions. You let them attack, easily ducks and sidestepping out of the way. Only once do you bring up your foot in a need to avoid one of their blades, and you use it as a kick and for bust of fire directed at the idiot, sending one reeling. The other flurry of attacks only grows more desperate, only you to snap at his hand during a simple sidestep and deliver three jabs and a knee to the face to knock him down on his ass.

The crowd begins to dissipate quickly, with half their group gone. You think the fight is actually over entirely, as you see one man drop down to his knees and shake. Then you see the shadows of four giant tendrils of water over the hull of the ship and look up.

The man in furs was now on the top of the mast and directing the tendrils with his hands, down. You have to jump and roll out of the way of his attacks. Just as you think you get the hang of it, firey streaks are thrown at you from the remaining two benders, each one only barely missing you.

>Snipe at the two firebenders, try to read the waterbender before doing anything to dangerous.

>Continue dodging, but rush towards him and beat him using a powerful leaping kick to the side of the head.

>Try to fly away

thirty minutes, quest continues

You pivot to the side, moving almost like you were twirling in a dance. The water tendril fell and smacked, scattering and getting your left boot soaked in the process. The process continues until you know for a fact it looks like a dance, hell like a whole kabuki routine. And each time the waterbender’s attacks hits the decks and occasionally splashes against your feet. Eventually your feet like out a soft squishing noise, and the man in the furs, lands back down on the deck.

The two firebenders at the other side of the ship don’t bother to bend or fire more shots at you. The water being flinged around was obscuring too much of their vision for a clear shot. The same isn’t true for you. You twist and get into a stance in between spin and hop and a total of four blasts of fire at the two of them. One of them manages to block one, before getting nailed in the chest and falling off his perch and the other isn’t even that likely.

The man in furs looks around and then back at you frowning. He lifts both his hands in the air and the drops them straight down to the deck, each finger extended. He then curls them all up into two balls and lifts each fist to the side, before waving them to the sides and then back. A giant wave of water rises from behind him.

>Fly and get out of there.

You breathe deep and hold it in your chest. The wave isn’t past the mast. You then lean forward and let out a straight fist with him with a burst of flame. He doubled over, and the wave immediately dissipated into a small shower of rain than didn’t even blur your vision from as far back as you were. You let out another punch of fire that slams into his face, knocking him back into the ocean below him.

After accepting the surrender of the rest of the crew and then fishing the waterbender and the captain out of the waters, and then tying them all up, you fly back to the ironclad Fire Nation vessel. The other two pirate ships, immediately broke off their charge and fled after seeing the flagship stall and you fly off so casually. Iroh, Zuko, and the captain meet you, all semi incredulously you pulled it off so easily. Maybe not Iroh, who had a mischievous twinkle in his eyes.

“So, what do you want to do with them?” Iroh asks.

Zuko huffs. “What do you think? Drop them off at the nearest Fire Nation port to be judged and then jailed. It’s protocol.”

“Nay,” The captain says. “That would delay our journey by a week. I say confiscate their valuables and loot, set fire t the ship, and then strand them on a nearby island.”

“They’d starve to death or die of exposure.” Iroh yells, “Might as well kill them all now and save them them a horrible death. Prince Zuko is right, send them to the nearest Fire Nation base.”

>You’re both right. Let’s take all their weapons and goods, we have no time to hold prisoners but aren’t going to kill these people.

>Yes, captain. Set course to a Fire Nation port.

>No, the captain’s right. We’ve got to hit them hard and fast

“Iroh’s right captain. Set sail for the nearest Fire Nation port.” You order, bringing a grimace to the face of the captain. He saultes you though and has two squads of men escort the pirates down into the brig. Zuko offers a professional nod and Iroh lets out a sigh of audible relief.

The ship turns in a slightly different direction, the familiar blues and the ever changing clouds continue. You help do odd jobs around deck here and there, and within a few hours are far sorer than you ever were in your life, even with Azula’s drills. You had worked hard all your life, honestly. You were expected by your parents to outdo and outthing your mainland peers, but all the excersises, martial arts training, music lessons, and studies were nothing like the back breaking labor or running a ship.

Then suddenly, it stopped, No more work to distract you. The rest of the crew had no more slack for you to pick up. You let your body relax and looked around.

Iroh was playing Pai So again. Zuko was looking at the sunset, knuckles deeply clutching the rail he was holding. You could hear the pirates arguing from here…

You stroll over to Iroh, your back still wincing a bit from hauling rope and a dozen other things. The sailor sitting across from him was shaking, twitching, and generally giving the impression he was about to launch off his chair into the sky any minute, just from looking at the Pai Sho board. Iroh sat there cool as a sea cucumber, that innocent smile on his face a little ominous.

Iroh doesn’t bother looking up. “Kazuki, that was an impressive display you had out there today.”

“You didn’t see me on the pirate ship,” You say. “Though I think I did a pretty good job myself.”

“I’m sure you did, you are the Avatar after all, but I meant taking care of the ship with the rest of the crew,” Iroh says, moving a piece. The sailor cried out, deepening Iroh’s smirk. “Fighting divides us into winners and losers, but in humble, honest work the only ones we truly pit ourselves against is ourselves. While we might not win sometimes, we never truly lose; we can only learn from setbacks and start again. I take it you never learned how to perform manual labor as a noble, but you tried your best despite this and still succeeded in lightening their load. Quite the achievement. Zuko can learn a lot from your example.”

>I don’t think a Prince needs to know this stuff. I just wanted to help.

Working to survive is something the people of all the nations know, I guess I have a responsibility towards them now that I'm the Avatar.

You shrug, “Working to survive is something the people of all the nations know, I guess I have a responsibility towards them now that I'm the Avatar.”

“A rather unique interpretation of that responsibility,” Iroh says, chuckling. “But one I also think is rather insightful as well.”

“This Pai Sao game is starting to wrap up.” You say pointing to the board. “How about you let this man out of his misery and we play a game. You can brag to everyone you know that you crossed petals with the Avatar and lived to tell the tale.”

Iroh busts a gut with his roar of laughter. He defats the sailor in two moves, but his eyes never leave you.“An offer I can’t refuse. A rare opportunity to teach the Avatar something myself.”

“What’s that?” You ask.

“Never try to beat me at Pai Sho and especially never do so when I have a fresh cup of tea near me.”

>End.

See you tom or Sat.

Poor Zuko. Here we go, against a full ship of pirates and a waterbender, no big deal. Even if we are friendly, this is not going to di wonder for his inferiority complex.
Maybe we can help him out?
We are a prodigy and training with him is a bit counterintuitive, but if we are supportive and start at his level and take progressivly harder drills and then show him his progress it could work.
The lack of friends not mauled by his sister is also a problem.
Same sister that we are interested in.
Awkward.
