Ten years ago, the warrior race known as the Saiyans were annexed into Emperor Freeza’s army. Since that fateful day, the Saiyans have earned the title of warrior race as Freeza’s soldiers, leading the charge onto hundreds of worlds and facing down all who oppose Lord Freeza’s rule. As mighty conquerors crushing all resistance, the Saiyans have earned their reputation as Freeza’s most powerful subjects.

The larger than life tales of the Saiyans, and especially the Super Saiyans, have spread to every corner of the civilized universe. Epics of the golden warrior or warriors facing down demons, wizards, assassins, armies, champions, and even surviving against both Freeza and the Arbiter are told universe-wide. The mere mention of Super Saiyans inspires awe, admiration, jealousy, or fear, depending on who you ask. This has now lead to the Covenant assembling a mighty army 30,000 warships strong to exterminate the Saiyans once and for all. Your actions from this point forward could either save the Saiyan race, or doom them all.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, currently Age 741, the ten-year anniversary of the Saiyans joining the PTO. You the players control Karn, a Saiyan Berserker with a known base powerlevel of 820,000, a general in Lord Freeza’s army, mate to Meloka, father of Chaya, Chilli and Broly(adoptive), and an inspiration to both the other Saiyans and the rest of the PTO.

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

The Siege of New Salda continued, the Covenant sending more and more ships towards the planet. You and your allies do your best, destroying the attacking warships by the score but they just keep coming. You arrive to aid Leyas and Sarada’s group, most of their fighters having been injured. You clear a path for the survivors, most escaping towards the arena while two brave warriors sacrificed themselves to stall the Covenant. Meanwhile the Covenant unleashed some sort of weapon that heavily disrupted magic, forcing Aku and his daughters to flee as well as Raven no longer being able to open portals to New Salda. After the arena takes a direct attack from space, killing most of the wounded there, a new face arrives. As we rejoin Karn, he has just greeted the great and powerful lKing Cold.

“Once again, the universe shall tremble in terror at the name of King Cold!” he declares as he flares his dark blue aura, knocking everyone nearby over again. You’re the first to react, throwing a fist in the air and unleashing a mighty cheering roar. The other Saiyans quickly follow your lead, a chorus of roars going up. Cold smirks at this, enjoying the praise he’s getting, as Vegeta thinks to you in a panic.

“Karn what the hell is that?!!” Vegeta telepathically asks you.
“Relax, its King Cold!” you reply. “He’s here to help!”
“Wait, THAT’S King Cold?!” he says, you then feeling your link with Vegeta also touching King Cold’s mind. “Greetings, King Cold.
“Greetings, young King Vegeta.” Cold replies. “It seems your planet has quite the pest problem.”
“Indeed, your majesty.” Vegeta says, you knowing him well enough he’s trying something. “Your overwhelming presence here is most certainly welcome in our time of trial. I assume you were watching the opening of the fight?”
“Oh, nonsense.” Cold says telepathically, you watching him smirk. “I’ve been watching up until a few minutes ago. I left my abode as soon as every powerlevel in this area of space completely vanished, and came to investigate.”
“It seems they have some means of shutting down magic, as well as some of our other special abilities.” you say, speaking up. “Aku was forced to flee, and we can no longer telepathically reach Raven, her last portal was forced shut by whatever it is they’re doing.”

“I see.” King Cold tells you both. “Worry no longer, I’ll handle this myself.
“Yes King Cold!” you and Vegeta both reply, Cold smirking at you before ending the link and blasting into the sky.
“Karn, what the hell?” Meloka asks, you turning to her. “What was that about?”
“We’re about to have one less problem.” you say. “But for now-“

What you were going to say is interrupted as a massive explosion rocks the sky. You fee King Cold’s power, ending millions of lives in an instant.

“Damn.” Leyas says, looking at the blast.
“Meloka, Leyas, we’re getting everyone out of here, and to the city.” you say. “We can’t cover the whole planet, but we can all hold out there.”
“Alright.” Meloka says, them both moving to start checking on everyone and see what condition they’re in. The Power Balls had all been destroyed, everyone who had been in their Oozaru form is now back to their base.
“Okay everyone listen up!” you call out, getting the Saiyans’ attention. “Staying here’s a bad idea, so we’re all gonna move out to the city and meet up with King Vegeta and the others. We move out in two minutes!”
“Yes sir!” the Saiyans call out. You spend the next minutes organizing everyone, readying everyone who can still fight and those that can’t. Besides you and Meloka, there are a half-dozen Saiyans who could still fight, and a dozen who can’t. Having them carry the injured means they can’t fight, so it’s down to you and Meloka to cover them. But you think the two of you’ve got this.

“Alright, move out!” you call, taking to the air. Everyone follows your golden glow, Meloka bringing up the rear to cover you all. At first the trip is uneventful, King Cold having cleared the skies far above, but as you approach the city you’re greeted to the sight of an ongoing battle. Hundreds of Oozaru surround the city, blasting near-indiscriminately into the on rushing hordes of Covenant forces. Their warships and fighters fill the skies while their land vehicles inch ever-closer to the city. “Alright everyone, we’re here. Follow me, and don’t fall behind!”

“Right!” they all shout, and you once more leap into battle. The Covenant forces don’t see your arrival, focused on their target of the city. Taking advantage of this you quickly gather your power, feeling the strain of the battle starting to catch up to you as you form your energy into a Super Energy Bomb, the glow from your attack catching some attention. But its too late for them, they cannot stop you. With a shout you hurl the sphere down, it detonating in a firey blast.

“GO! GO! GO!” you shout, leaping into the opening as the other Saiyans follow close behind.
cont
>>
>>2782021
With the Covenant unprepared for an attack behind them, you are quickly able to carve a path. Using your Death Slashes to clear wide areas to great effect, your little group is able to quickly close the distance towards the city. But as you draw closer the Covenant forces tighten ranks, attacking you from all sides. If it were just yourself and Meloka you could simply push through, but that would leave Leyas, Kabuya, and the others to die. Your forward progress is stalled to a crawl, you and Meloka furiously defending the others. Dammit, you were so close!

“Karn, quickly, throw up a Barrier!” King Vegeta tells you telepathically. Understanding his plan immediately you comply, your Barrier going up and around everyone just in time.
“FINAL FLASH!!” you hear the young King roar, everything outside your Barrier turning golden as Vegeta fires at you all. The Covenant are obliterated by the king’s power, Vegeta ending the attack after a few moments. You then drop your Barrier, Vegeta flying over and the three of you cover the Saiyans as you all pass under the ring of Oozaru and enter the city.

“Thanks, King Vegeta.” you say once you’ve gotten everyone out of immediate danger, Vegeta nodding to you then taking over the group. He leads them to an emergency field hospital inside one of the nearby buildings. You simply drop to the ground, laying on your back and catching your breath. This battle’s really taking its toll on you, and as you lay there the exertions finally catch up to you. You simply lay there with your eyes closed, exhaustion washing over you in waves. After a moment you can hear Meloka lay down beside you, her hand reaching out and grabbing yours. A small smile comes to your face, you grabbing her right hand in your left. You feel the warm embrace of sleep climbing up on you, if you remain here you’ll probably be asleep within a minute. But can you afford it?

Well?

First roll was to stay awake.
>>2782102
Focusing your mind as you lay there, you mentally connect to Vegeta, Nappa, Meloka, and the others. You aren’t certain how many hear you, but you get your message out regardless as you fight to stay awake.

“Hey, I’ll be back in a few.” you say telepathically. “I just need a few... minutes... to..”

And with that, you feel yourself lose consciousness. Darkness takes you. But only for a moment.

“Karn! Karn wake up!” you hear someone shouting, shaking you. You spring awake, leaning forward instantly. You hadn’t meant to fall asleep, but here you are, Nappa shaking you awake. “C’mon, break’s over.”
“I wasn’t sleeping.” you mutter, grabbing Nappa’s massive hand and let the giant haul you to your feet. He looks rough, battered, bruised, but still standing tall. “How long was I out?”
“A little over an hour.” Nappa says as you regain your feet and you look around, and once you notice Meloka isn’t beside you you immediately focus your senses and observe the battle happening all over the planet. Not much has changed, the majority of Saiyans are still defending the city. You’re still surrounded on all sides, the Covenant’s attack having not let up. And further out on the Guardian’s island, you sense the Guardian, Meloka, and Bardock holding out against the Covenant there. “But we’ve got a problem.”

Before you can ask, your instincts scream that you’re in danger. Without thinking you push Nappa aside with your left hand, drawing your Energy Blade with your right as you transform into a Super Saiyan. You swing your blade to your right, it clashing against a Sangheili blade as the creature becomes visible. Before it can follow up, you fire a quick Eye Beam through its face, killing it instantly.

“They’re the problem.” Nappa says, you both going back-to-back as more than two dozen Sangheili appear in a wide circle, blades out.

“There’s no easy way out of this.” you think to yourself, deactivating your Energy Blade and taking your stance. Even as powerful as you are, one of the 32 blades surrounding you could get a lucky hit in on you. Without the ability to retreat, you can’t afford to take a serious injury now. You need to change the game, and you have the perfect move for this. You focus on the kis of the nearby Sangheili, extending your arms and pointing your fingers at several of them, eyes shifting to track them all. You see it on their faces as you gather your ki into your fingertips, prepared to fire.

“Kill the-!” one shouts, you unleashing your attack and interrupting him with a beam through the forehead. Your attack kills ten of the Sangheili instantly, their bodies dropping to the ground.
“Kill him!!” another shouts, the remaining twenty Sangheili all charging you and Nappa at once. You hear Nappa shout and feel the ground shake, but you can’t turn to see. You have to focus on the battle before you. Twelve Sangheili are all rushing you at once, you don’t have time to make a mistake. You again gather your ki as this time you point both hands forward. With a shout you unleash your Scatter Beams again, killing yet another ten splitjaws. Unfortunately, that still leaves two rushing you, and they’re too close. You don’t have time for another energy attack, and with Nappa behind you you can’t dodge either. You have no choice, you have to catch them.

“HAAAA!!” you shout, catching both Covenant blades as they swing them down at you. You feel the blades cut a little into your palms, barely breaking the skin. But your gambit paid off, both Sangheili left defenseless as your maneuver catches them both off-guard. You see them both reach for other weapons with their off hands, but it’s far too late for either of them. You fire your Guided Eye Beams, first through the left Sangheili then through the right one. As you kill them you release their blades, the bodies falling limply to the ground. You turn to see how Nappa’s doing, and are quite surprised.
cont
>>
>>2782852
Keep the energy blade we caught. Thats a blade that we dont have to spend Ki to operate!

>>2782852
Nappa’s standing tall amid several splitjaw bodies, holding one of the Sangheili by the skulls and crushing it in his giant hand as the last four approach. He pulls his right hand back, his ki swelling.

“BOMBER DX!!” Nappa roars, column of red energy exploding from his hand and slamming into the four splitjaws. His attack engulfs the four, you sensing their ki all suddenly vanish. Another moment later Nappa ends the attack, dropping his hand and panting. “Dammit. These sneaky bastards are really pissing me off.”

Nappa then turns to you, you seeing several cuts through his armor and all over his arms. None seem too deep, Nappa paying them no mind.

“Alright, so where am I needed?” you ask, Nappa panting another few moments to catch his breath before continuing.
“Ask. The King.” he says tiredly, sitting on the street. “He. He wanted to. Make sure. They didn’t. Catch you asleep.”
“Thanks Nappa.” you say, holding a hand down to him. He ‘hmph’s good-naturedly, taking your hand and lets you pull him upright. “I owe you one.”
“Heh, even after. All this time.” Nappa says tiredly, you both turning as someone shouts in a panic.

“Someone help!!” Cassa shouts, flying hastily across your view. At first is seems she’s flying from nothing, then you sense three Sangheili in hot pursuit. They’re still invisible, but with your ki sense you can easily track them.
“Dammit!” Nappa shouts, taking a step towards the young Saiyan then falling to a knee. He catches himself with his hands, glaring up at you. “Karn, get them!”
“On it!” you shout, blasting up off the ground. You fly up between Cassa and her pursuers, the three stopping short of your golden form.
“Shit!” one exclaims, the three backing off a bit from you. They’re no longer chasing Cassa, but now they’re all focused on you.

If you can guide your Eye Beams, then you should be able to do the same with a Death Beam, right? That thought in mind, you gather your ki into a single point on your right index finger, pointing it at the center Sangheili. The three remain invisible, the two you’re not pointing at drifting further to your sides. At the last second you move, aiming instead at the one on your right and firing. It kills the creature, the other two moving towards you as you try and control the Death Beam. For some inexplicable reason the Death Beam is harder to control, it only curving instead of changing direction. But you’re forced to abandon the beam, the other two closing the gap and attacking. The Sangheili both try and impale you, but with a twisting Su Ma flip you’re easily able to avoid the pair of them, positioned at their defenseless backs.

Wasting no time you drive your left fist through the left one’s still-invisible skull, pulling your arm out as it becomes visible and drops. This gives the now-visible other one another chance to attack, but you’re more than ready. You lean to the side and twist, its overhead chop missing and passing through nothing but air. The splitjaw snarls and twists, trying to backhand you with its blade. But it is too slow, you catching it’s forearm with your left hand.

“Wha-“ it asks, you interrupting it by slicing through its arm with a barehanded chop. It screams in pain and clutches its stump, you catching the falling arm and prying the hilt from it. While the Sangheili screams in pain you observe the weapon, finding a button and pressing it. The blade deactivates in your hand, you holding only a small piece of metal. Pressing it again reactivates the blade, just as the pained noises stop.

“I’ll kill you for that!” you turn as the Sangheili shouts, drawing one of those crystal weapons and lifting it towards you. For a split-second you’re back to when you were trapped in the Healing Pod, but snap out of it immediately. Not today. “Die!!”

He shouts as he fires at you, you dodging aside faster than the Sangheili can track. You circle the wounded warrior, and before he knows what’s happening you swing. With a single stroke you decapitate him with his own blade, body and head falling separately to the planet below.

“Thanks.” Cassa says, nodding and giving a salute before hurriedly flying off again. You deactivate the blade, closing your eyes and focusing. The battle is progressing much the same, however you sense many more higher powerlevels in the attacking Covenant forces than before you’d fallen asleep. But several powerlevels within the city bother you, you don’t think they’re Saiyans or Tamaraneans.

What will you do?

Those strange powerlevels you sense are giving you a terrible feeling in your gut. You want to blast off after them, but first thing’s first. You drop down to Nappa, landing beside the large Saiyan who’s now back on his feet. But, something’s off. It takes you a moment, but then you notice Nappa’s back to his base form.

“You okay?” you ask your giant friend, concerned.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” Nappa says, obviously putting on a front. Its clear he’s exhausted, and barely on his feet. “I think I’m gonna, gonna go take a break. We’ve set up a place for everyone to rest, down at the hospital. I’m headed there.”
“Good luck.” you tell the giant, knowing staying with him would only hurt his pride. But, knowing whete he’s going, you can clear the path of any splitjaws before he gets there. You blast off, leaving Nappa behind as you travel to the closest one. On the way, you telepathically reach out to Tatsu and Turles.

“Tatsu. Turles. Can you guys hear me?” you ask, thinking to the elder Saiyan and Super Saiyan. “What’s going on?”
“Ah, you’re awake.” Tatsu replies. “We’re moving out to reinforce Meloka, the Guardian and Bardock. Meloka sent up a call for reinforcements a few minutes ago, and we’re responding. You should let her know you’re awake, she was worried about you.”
“I will.” you reply, ending the link as you drop from the air. You land in the middle of the street, arms crossed as the unseen power stops moving as you land. You say nothing as you lift your left arm, point a finger at the creature and fire a Death Beam. It tries to dodge, immediately leaping to the side as you lift your finger, but it does it no good. With an effort of will you curve the beam, it catching the creature. Your beam pierces straight through its chest, the Sangheili becoming visible and clutching at the hole, falling over. A few seconds later you feel its ki vanish entirely, the creature dying on the street. Wasting no time you lift back into the air, searching for the next target.

“Hey Meloka, I hear you called for backup, everything okay over there?” you telepathically ask her.
“Karn, you’re awake!” she replies, you feeling her joy through the psychic link. “We’re fine over here, Tatsu and Turles will be here in a minute. We just need to give the Guardian a break, he’s getting tired.”
“If you need me just let me know.” you tell her, as you zero in on the next Sangheili. “Some of those damn splitjaws have snuck into the city, I’m hunting them now.”
“Good luck.” she says, you replying in kind then ending the link as you blast off. You close the distance to your next target quickly, sensing it closing in on the hospital. You increase your speed, determined to arrive there first.

Interesting idea...
Even if we can't (yet) bend the death beams at hard angles, if we use a scatter beam, i wonder if we can surround the enemy with what would end up looking like a ball of yarn, and then essentially tug on it to close the sphere of death beams around them, cutting or searing their flesh.
>>
>>2783501
It sounds like it’d give us the mother of all migraines, effective as it’d likely be.
>>
>>2783491
By Ascending for only a split-second, you increase your speed even further and surge ahead of the Sangheili. You drop towards the ground at an angle, moving too fast to stop quickly in this form. You land and slide, spinning to face the approaching splitjaw as your feet carve trenches in the rocky ground. Your landing impact kicks up a cloud of dust, you sensing the Sangheili approaching you through the cloud. Its cloaking device even masks its sounds, but you can follow its movements by its ki as it closes in. When it closes within a few feet you again lift a hand, Death Beaming the creature. This one also becomes visible as it dies, looking at you completely confused. As its ki disappears, you launch yourself back into the air, focusing your senses for the next one.

As the minutes pass, you hunt down Sangheili after Sangheili, killing each of them with either a single beam or slash of the sword. You easily hunt them down one by one, the creatures no match for you. But as you approach the last one, you get an idea. Instead of bending the beams with your mind, what if... Oh yeah, this could work. Instead of approaching the last Sangheili, you instead focus your ki senses. This takes you several moments, but you focus on its ki to the exclusion of all others. Its energy cannot escape you now. You lift your left hand, an Energy Bomb readied. You focus on the ki in your fingertip and the Sangheili’s ki, until the two become one in your mind. You then open your eyes, and fire.

Your attack travels through the air, dropping towards the city and the Sangheili who thinks he’s hidden. You feel your attack close in, catching the creature and exploding. You then fly over to the cloud of smoke, sensing the Sangheili survived the blast.

-Homing Energy Bomb learned-

You drop cautiously towards the powerlevel, landing on the street a few dozen feet from it. You see the creature, covered in damage and half-buried in rubble from the blast. You lift a hand, preparing another Death Beam. The creature sees you and chuckles, pressing a button and dropping some glowing device.

“Heh, you fell for it, Super Saiyan.” the creature says, you suddenly sensing a few dozen incredible powerlevels dropping right towards you. With no time, you throw up your Barrier, pouring your energy into it to harden the shield. You watch as more than forty Hunters crash to the ground around you, one crushing the Sangheili as it lands. Two of the hulking creatures bounce off of your shield, your body straining from the impacts. The ones that crash to the ground around you kick up massive walls of dust, you deactivating your Barrier and sweeping a hand to clear the smoke and see what you’re up against.

Forty-two Mgalekgolo surround you, you suddenly feeling very, very alone.

You slowly crouch down into your fighting stance, trying to remain aware of each of the dozens of creatures surrounding you. They all are hunkered down behind their shields, cannons pointed at you. You notice a dozen have begun charging their weapons, and you realize you can’t stay still anymore. You have to attack.

“Die!!” you shout, firing a quick horizontal Death slash at those in front of you. You’d expected your attack to cut through them easily, but their massive shields hold. You gawk in surprise a moment, giving one behind you an opening. Before you can react one slams its massive shield into your back at full-force and knocking you at the ones before you.
“Those shields have to be as thick as their warships’ armor.” you think to yourself, front flipping once and kicking off the shield of the one you were knocked towards. You bounce back to the one that hit you, dropping down into a slide under it and firing a Death Slash up. Your attack easily slices this one in half, both halves’ ki dropping drastically. You have no time to finish it off, kicking up off the ground and flipping up and over to dodge the one in front of you slamming it’s shield down. You fire another Death Slash into this creature’s back, bisecting it from shoulder to hip. But before you can celebrate, you feel your back hit something shaking, then as you realize what’s happening the Mgalekgolo fires.

“FUCK!!” you shout, taking the blast fully in the back. Your armor saved you from serious damage, the attack launching you into the sky as your chest armor falls away.
“Dammit, that was too close!” you think to yourself as you fire a few Death Slashes from the air, feeling the breeze on your now-exposed, burned back. You fire off a dozen attacks, maiming a few as the rest take cover behind their shields and bide their time. You notice the telltale green glow of their cannons, even behind their shields and know what’s coming next.

Sure enough, two dozen green beams suddenly fire up at you, you activating your Barrier in response. Your shield holds, deflecting the energy from you. As their attacks stop you deactivate your barrier, a dozen immediately leaping up at you. Without the ability to fly their leaps are easy for you to Su Ma dodge around, Death Slashing each of them. Your instincts suddenly blaring a warning. You react a moment too slow, turning just in time to see the one who’d leaped up behind you, weapon charged. There’s no time for anything fancy, you crossing your arms before you to block as it fires. The blast hits your entire upper body, blasting you back down into the ground.

“Dammit.” you cough out, quickly forcing yourself back to your feet and take stock. Your upper body and arms took the brunt of the damage, your gloves and your torso’s suit were all blasted away, your skin slightly red. You notice your Bloodstone dropped to the ground, you quickly picking it up and tucking it down into your left boot. As soon as you do, another two Mgalekgolo leap down into your crater at you, cannons primed. You leap up over them, twisting and firing another pair of Death Slashes through them. Not bothering to watch them fall, you continue your twist, landing feet-first out of the crater and facing the remaining hunters.

“Who’s next?” you taunt waving the creatures forward as you flare your golden aura up and around you. They all let off their wierd roars, charging at you. After taking those attacks your mind is now laser-focused, your full attention on the foes before you. You roar in challenge, rushing and meeting their charge head-on. You spin past the first creature, ducking under a second’s cannon then flipping completely over a third, throwing Death Slashes with each movement. You dodge, spin, twist and flip your way past the creatures, carving them to bits with the energy from your fingertips. Several try and fire upon you in the melee, you making sure to slash their cannons and cause them to explode. After what feels like an eternity, but could only be a minute or two at most, you stand victorious. The worm-like creatures still alive abandon their armors, melding together into a giant mass. You feel their powerlevel begin rising rapidly, you need to do something about this, now!

The tiny wormlike creatures all wriggle over the ground, merging themselves together into a massive pile. As more and more of them pile up, their collective powerlevel multiplies over and over. You leap back away from the mass, taking to the air as its power swells even further, closing in on your own. You leap back further, lifting your arms over your head and quickly gather your power. You begin forming a massive Super Energy Bomb over your outstretched hands, watching as the mass begins rising up off the ground towards you.

“Take this!!” you shout, dropping the massive energy sphere down. You watch in a mix of awe and terror as the mass changes shape, forming a massive hand and catching your attack. “Wh-What?!”

You feel that mass of worms fighting against your power, and after a moment begins actually pushing it back towards you.

“Oh, like hell I’m losing to a bunch of fucking worms!!” you roar, pushing back against the creatures. You strain against their collective power, the two of you near-evenly matched and unable to gain an advantage. You both push, and for over a minute you and the worms are deadlocked. “Alright I’ve had enough of this! RAAAAAAA!!”

With your roar you Ascend, lightning dancing along your aura as your strength instantly doubles. With your full power you quickly overwhelm the worms, your sphere slamming the mass straight down into the ground and exploding. You feel their massive ki vanish in the explosion, your attack killing the entire mass of creatures. You sigh out, returning back to a normal Super Saiyan and dropping down to the ground next to the newly-made crater. Before you can move on, however, you sense a single ship headed towards you. You don’t waste your time, lifting a hand and firing a Death Beam into it. The ship explodes, the husk dropping from the air and crashing near you.

But as you sense a survivor, you turn to the wreck to finish the job. You walk towards it, watching as the hull burns. As you get close you hear an odd, familiar sound. But before you can recall what it is, a chunk of the ship hurtles through the air towards you. Your eyes widen in surprise, narrowly dodging the improvised projectile. You twist around the hunk of metal, turning back towards the wreckage in time to see a familiar face.

“Wait, you’re-!”

“Super Saiyan!” the Jiralhanae chieftan in red armor calls out, hefting his massive hammer. “Face me, Karn!”
“It doesn’t have to be this way.” you say, dropping into your fighting stance. “I’m giving you one chance. Put the hammer down, and I’ll let you live.”
“I can’t do that.” he says, taking his stance as well, hammer at the ready. “I have my own duty to fulfill, and I won’t back down.”

We will continue this another time friend.
>>
>>2784482
My reasoning is this

>the timebreaker seal only activates when a time patroller is nearby, brutus has nothing to do with this
>we want to ascend so that we can activate the seal at full power as quickly as possible if need be
>brutus is weak enough to simply knock him unconscious or send him flying if we ascend anyways, so we can remove him from the area and keep him out of the fight, and therefore alive if we ascend
>we have no information yet, and we don't want to activate the seal and drain our power willy-nilly, even though we know there's a time patroller nearby, we don't know where, why, or what their intentions are, so we need to sense around to find out what's going on
>>
>>2784510
Unless this isn't actually brutus or a parallel brutus brought in by someone else.
>>
>>2784510
>the timebreaker seal only activates when a time patroller is nearby, brutus has nothing to do with this
Small correction, but it activates when any time traveler who isn’t Future Chaya, or the Towa you know or any of her minions get close enough to you.
>>
>>2784519
There's very little chance of that, considering he's so weak as to be useless against us, it isn't even worth the effort of finding him, no less bringing him to our timeline.

Off the top of my head, i can think of two main possibilities given the exactly zero information we currently have.

1. Time Loli sent trunks to perform a hit on us when she found out we were in the middle of a war, and thus would be tired and have little or no backup
2. The much less likely option, time loli has actually chosen to make an effort to do something positive for karn, and sent someone as backup (this is a ridiculous but non-zero possibility)

>>2784536
Does karn know that, though?
In this case, it adds a third and fourth option.

3. The council of towas has sent backup
4. The council of towas has come to snatch karn for themselves
>>
>>2784554
Though, there is also another option, one i don't think would occur simply because GD isn't SOM...
Time loli sent Ace, or ace and trunks both to kill karn for sure.
>>
>>2784554
Eh, still possible someone realized Karn had comradary with him and gave him a Majin Baby Supervillian buff or some shit.

A Brutus from Future Chaya's timeline that has been eating from the Tree of Might.

>>2784578
I hope not. I'm literally getting kind of tired of Trunks/Ace showing up everytime Karn takes a shit.

You feel the seal on your hand begin to warm up, Towa’s emblem glowing with demonic power. That can only mean one thing. You Ascend immediately then begin looking around frantically, looking for the damn boy.

“What the hell are you do-“ the Jiralhanae Chieftan asks, when suddenly he clutches his head and screams out in agony. You turn back to him and watch confused as he nearly falls, then roars out as a dark energy surrounds his body. The ground trembles beneath your feet, the chieftan’s power disappearing completely. He leans back forward, changed. His eyes are glowing red, his armor darkened to a deep purple as well as that unsettling dark energy flows around his body.

“This feels GREAT!” he roars out, flaring that dark aura around him. “With this power, I can crush you myself! Now, face me!!”

With that he blasts off the ground, closing the distance between you in an instant. Your eyes widen in surprise as you realize you’re unable to defend yourself, closing your eyes as his hammer swiftly descends towards your head. You’re gonna die!

You suddenly feel something wrap around you, pulling you backwards. Your eyes snap open in surprise, watching the hammer strike the ground where you were. You then look down, seeing something wrapped a dozen times around your middle. You look behind you, seeing whatever’s pulling you and... what the hell is that?

“Gotcha, nyaa!” a femine voice calls out, th the grey creature’s arms unwinding from around you. You look at her in slack-jawed confusion, the creature posing.
“Uhhh, thanks.” you say, confused by this creature and its obnoxiously bright greens, yellows, and pinks its wearing. “But, who are you?”
“I’m Puddin!” she says, bouncing a little in place and striking a different pose. “Greatest Time Patroller ever!”
“Wait, you’re with the Time Patrol?!” you ask, backing up from her with concern. But before you can question this, creature any further, the Jiralhanae chief roars again and rushes at the both of you.
”C’mon Karn, let’s kick his butt!” she shouts, turning and focusing entirely on the dark-aura’d Jiralhanae. She’s open, you could possibly attack her now. But she did just save your life, can you attack her?

Why would you want to fight them both, again?
Remember, the longer we stay in timebreaker mode, the more energy we lose.

Our blood stone is already going to be completely drained from this, and if we fight puddin too, and we're probably going to lose that needless fight, but even if we win, we'll be tired out and left defenseless in the middle of the GODDAMN WAR WITH THE COVENANT, IN CASE YOU ALL FORGOT ABOUT IT

I wonder if time loli will be surprised we didn't just try to kill her simply for being a time patroller.
Maybe, just maybe there's a bridge here that hasn't been burned yet.
>>
>>2784871
>super-ancient being that is set in its ways which was willing to genocide a timeline out of spite

>being a nice person

I think you give that intentionally pedobaiting little shit more credit than is due, friend. She'd probably be more disappointed that Puddin' didn't just try to slap the shit out of Karn right away. Not to say Puddin' won't try to fight Karn immediately after dealing with ol' Brutus over here though. The weird meta-rules for some of these time scrolls for hidden unlocks can get pretty wild, I'm sure.

But nah SKoT is kind of a bitch.
>>
>>2784871
>"Hmm...maybe he's working with her because she isn't trying to kill him or his loved ones right off the bat..."
>"Naw, he must have a thing for gray chicks. Weirdo."
Tell me this isn't what SkoT is thinking.
>>
>>2784880
True, time loli is a straight up piece of shit as far as i'm concerned, but she's also just doing her job. Kind of.
We wouldn't have any problem with her or the time patrollers whatsoever if we could just somehow convince her to accept our timeline as, or to somehow properly MAKE our timeline an "official" one and mostly just leave us all alone.

We'd still need to convince towa to chill out, too, though.
It wouldn't be terrible if she and mira just hung out as one of karn's crew someday, rather than trying to merge the realms.
She could do that if time loli would just leave us be.
>>
>>2784890
Hell, i wouldn't even mind lending her a hand to keep other timelines on-course if it meant she'd simply allow ours to exist.
She's been wanting to get herself a karn ever since she found out about us anyways.

We don't have to like her to co-exist peacefully.
>>
>>2784899
It'd also let us hang out with Trunks and teach him how to actually fight.
>>
>>2784906
Sure.
If karn the the time patrollers could actually manage to make up, i'd love to train trunks and beat some sense into his thick goddamn skull until he could think for himself a little.
>>
>>2784869
Man i totally thought that pudding was the one to infuse him with dark energy, considering her dark powers.
>>
>>2784890
>>2784899

The problem is that SKoT is a hardass and wants Karn and his timeline gone. And Towa as well. SKoT is inflexible because she's been doing her job for so long, it has to be "her" way because she "knows" how it "should" be done. Same reason why most old people who have been doing a job for decades tend to be really hard up on doing things the way they've been doing it, even if it isn't strictly the best way to do it.

You really can't trust her. She'd use Karn more than like, but still set up to dispose of him and his timeline regardless of how useful or personable he is. It's an old lady who pretends to be a little girl and argues with a fucking owl. She's not a sane person. Not like Karn, at least when Karn genocides he doesn't act like it's a good thing. It's just what he does.

Except when we genocide the Covenant. That'll be a good thing. Damn religious nutjobs. Goddamn Westboro Baptist Church of Space I tell you h'wat.
>>
>>2784930
She does want karn and his timeline gone, because it's a nuisance.
Her excuse is that the timeline is inherently unstable and could collapse at any time, but if that were the case there'd be no point in deleting it since it'd delete itself eventually anyways.

Maybe it's true and there's more to it than that, but we don't know since she hasn't tried to talk with us since we met.
Regardless though, we don't know what kind of power she has over the timesteams, but i'm willing to bet that if she *really* wanted to, she could stabilize our timestream and turn it into a proper one with relative ease, especially considering trunks' time shenanigans.

But for her to have any reason to do that, we'd need to be of some use to her, more help than hindrance.
If all that takes is getting towa to chill out and doing some missions for her, that's a damn low price for the existence of our timeline, hard as it might be.

Also, towa doesn't want to delete the timeline. IIRC, most towas across all timelines want to merge demon realm with the living realm and turn the whole universe into a bloodbath.
The main reason for this is probably that she's a NEET who built her own husbando and desperately needs a dicking.
Fortunately, karn has made friends with her, she's raising his future daughter and at least one of karn's buddies has shown interest in giving her the D, so the potential is there for a chill towa to exist one day.

It might take a lot of work, but it's not impossible to work this all out with some effort.
>>
>>2784930
And honestly, i think time loli is just lazy more than anything.
She was happy when everything was quiet and none of this crazy shit was going on.

She was basically getting paid to sit around and do nothing.
If karn wasn't fueled by unyielding rage towards her and better yet actually started helping her, she wouldn't have so many reasons to delet this, and would finally have good reasons not to.

Think about it.
When she was getting ready to delet us along with ace, it was because *everything* had gone to shit.
Nothing was working out, causing her to actually have to lift her own finger for a change.

If we simply didn't cause her any problems, she wouldn't feel the need to remove the problem.
So really, the main source of our problem with time loli right now is just towa.
>>
>>2784958

In all honesty, Karn’s timeline is a huge fustercluck from SKoT’s perspective. If they use the canon DBZ/DBS timeline as their measuring stick, this one sticks out like a sore thumb. All of these new people and power and empires that don’t exist anywhere else, and most of them have a potential to be a multiversal threat. Not all of them would even ping as a significant power level in even the most basic scouter.
>>
>>2785012
Yeah, it's significantly different from the typical z-fighter focused timeline, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing on it's own.
Sure, we're a big threat to everyone, but only in our own timeline.
If we manage to stay at peace with chronoa and calm towa down to the point that she isn't trying to destroy everything, that is.

Even if we travel to other universes and take them over, it's still only in our own timeline.
Even if karn and frieza become the most powerful beings in the multiverse, we're still just staying in our own timeline.
And she can still delete us at any moment if we betray her, but we have no reason to do so as long as she continues to allow us to exist.

As for all the non-canon characters we're fighting, i think the general idea is that, at least in thread canon, they did exist in all timelines but were wiped out by the time the z-warriors went to space in other timelines.
Technically we're still in the past, here. Before even dragonball started, or very early on at the most. I'm not sure exactly how old goku is right now, but he's young.

Would be interesting if it turned out all these non-canon characters were the temporal anomalies chronoa was talking about.

“Oh, what the hell.” you say, dropping into your stance beside the strange girl. “Let’s do this!”
“Nyaa-hahahaha!” she shouts, jumping up and down and turning to you. “Chaya was right about you!”
“Wait, what?” you ask, but before she can answer the chieftan’s hammer slams right into the girl’s head, clearly crushing it and sending her... stretching? You watch as her head is sent hundreds of feet back, yet her feet remain exactly in the same place. Her body stretches impossibly backward, then snaps back forward instantly, slamming her forehead into the chieftans. The brute is stunned, launched off its feet and sent sprawling. Your eyes widen in surprise, caught completely off-guard. What the hell, how do you fight someone who can redirect your force back at you with interest?

“Get back here!” she shouts, rolling herself up into a ball and blasting off after the dark aura’d chieftan. You’re stunned by this odd creature, something’s off about her. But her shout galvanizes you, you blasting off after the chieftan as well. And you quickly realize just how far she outclasses you. By the time you catch up, she’s already knocked him back and forth over a dozen times, then sends him flying down towards you.

“Get him get him get him!!” she shouts at you. You flare your aura up, charging up and Energy Punch, and attack. Your fist connects square into the Chieftan’s gut, your attack exploding and blasting him back towards this Puddin. She smiles and holds out a hand, giant blue sphere of ki charged up. “Thanks! Puddin Pop!!”

Her blast consumes the chieftan, blasting him hard into the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust. She lands beside you, curious as you both watch the smoke fade. The chieftan rises, that dark aura no longer around him. That only lasts for a moment, he again screaming in pain as the darkness flares up around him again.

“Nyaaa, he’s stubborn.” she says, sounding annoyed. She then sighs out, then looks to you. “Hey, I know nya! You charge up that big shiny dragon, and I’ll pull him into it!”
“Huh?” you ask, the strange girl laughing and blasting off the ground before you can ask anything else. You comply, gathering your power quickly and holding the attack at the ready. “Alright, I’m ready!”
“Nyaaa! Puddin Toss!!” she shouts, wrapping the chieftan in one arm then quickly unwinding it and hurling him at you. Its time!

“DRAGON FIST!!” you roar as the golden ki dragon explodes out around you. Your attack slams hard into the chieftan, winding through the air until you slam him down into the ground. You then feel your attack fade, standing over the body of the defeated chieftan.

TAKE THE CHEIFTANS GRAVITY HAMMER
>>
>>2784958
Nah I didn't mean Towa wanted to task manager Karn's reality out I meant SKoT wanted to dump Towa in the recycling bin.

But still if the council of Towas got their way it'd probably also really ruin Karn's timeline. If we had to work with anyone it'd be our Towa, btfo-ing SKoT and taking all of her Time Patrollers under our control to fight the Council so we can keep our reality stable and stop the entirety of existence time-space-wide from turning into one massive weird Nth dimensional demonic shithole. No offense to the demon realm, but you got dudes who have seven pointed swords and kidnap princesses and shit. Also spit that turns people to stone. How can you kissu kissu like that? Dabura worst husbando.

Most importantly the SKoT is still really childish despite the fact she should be mature. She probably takes Karn's existence in spite of what she wants personally. She's also manipulative, untrustworthy and arrogant. And she only got lazy when she found Trunks putzing through time.

Before that she had to do everything herself. We can still determine time travel is a linear thing since Future Trunks hasn't existed forever despite being a time traveler so she had to be doing the job up until the year Bulma built the time machine. And the fact that the Time Patrol only came into existence millions of years after she became the SKoT.

I will never trust her because she's a secluded, stuck up, self-deluding maniac that Karn would never get along with. Mostly because getting along with the SKoT means basically just doing whatever she tells you do to. And only Frieza has that right. because Frieza is actually secretly a bro. What happens when SKoT tells Karn to kill Towa and Mira? Don't do it? Bam timeline gone. Do it? And make Future Chaya sad? HAH! Right. And convincing Towa and SKoT to get along is like trying to convince a normal human being that eating irradiated shards of glass is actually healthy. There is serious baggage between those two.

“Great job, nyaa!” Puddin calls out, jumping down into the crater beside you. “You got him good!”
“Yeah.” you say, straightening up and turning towards her. “But who are you? And how do you know Chaya?”
“I watched her beat up Super Mira!” she says excitedly. “She was all ‘pow pow pow pow pow’! She’s amazing!”
“Yeah, she is.” you reply, but before you can say anything else her arms wrap you up completely, trapping you inside a ball of darkness. “What the hell?!”
“Shhh, Daddy said that the Supreme Kai of Time can’t hear this.” she says, you raising a brow curiously. “He said that Chaya’s fight was so good he wanted to help. So he let her give you this.”

You suddenly feel her hand stretching into your boot, pulling the Bloodstone out. You feel a surge of familiar energy, your future daughter’s ki flowing into the stone. She then replaces it, then winks at you and releases you. You look up at her in wonder, the strange creature disappearing in a flash of light. You rise back to your feet, looking over as the Jiralhanae chieftan stirs, waking up.

“Wha... What happened?” he asks no one, head rolling over and seeing you still standing. “Oh, I lost. Very well then, Saiyan Karn. Do it. End this fight.”

You walk over to the Jiralhanae chieftan, but instead of ending him or leaving him unconscious, you simply hold out a hand. He looks curiously between it and your face, not understanding.

“What... Are you doing?” he finally asks you.
“Isn’t is obvious?” you ask him, hand still out invitingly. “I’m offering you a hand up.”
“But... why?” he asks. “I’m your enemy.”
“And?” you ask him. “I want you to go get stronger, and fight me again one day.”

For a few seconds you think you’re getting through to him, the he sighs out defeatedly.

“You are an honorable warrior, Karn.” he says, lifting a small club-like stick. Your eyes widen in surprise as you recognize the weapon, its a grenade! “It was my honor knowing you.”

Before you can do anything else he sticks it into his armor, closing his eyes. You leap back, knowing what’s coming but unable to stop it. You watch with a mix of respect and horror as he doesn’t move, accepting his fate. In another moment the grenade explodes, you sensing his ki vanishing inside the blast. The dust clears from the blast, revealing the proud warrior’s final resting place. You solemnly walk over to the warrior, lifting his hammer up onto your shoulder.

“You’ll be remembered.” you mutter, turning your back on his corpse and walking away. Your hand tightens a bit on the hammer’s haft. You only walk a few dozen steps when you sense something from above you. Looking up you see nothing, yet you can clearly sense what’s coming. You snarl, holding the chieftan’s hammer in both hands. You’re really ready to pound something into oblivion right now, and those incoming splitjaws will do just fine.

“Rrrraaa! Come and get me!!” you roar in challenge, flaring your golden aura up wildly around yourself.

The Combine would either be on par with the Covenant as a space threat or possibly 10x worse given the not-sequel transcript that was released a while ago by one of the writers of Half-Life. Their tech is on par with Forerunners with Dyson Spheres and all that shit being a thing that they can build.

They’d either try to take over the PTO in the half-assed lazy way that they did on Earth in HL1/2, using enslaved races and bioweapons with minimal Combine tech support.
>>
>>2786072
Or they’d use some kind of indirect superweapon to do some crazy shit like sterilize the PTO’s most prominent warrior races and wait a few centuries for the PTO to weaken.

Hey...
Does karn know how to hide his powerlevel?

As much as we get attacked by sneaky, hidden enemies, i don't think the idea has come up...
Isn't karn just fucking glowing constantly like the moon in the night sky?

Maybe if we could hide our powerlevel, we wouldn't get snuck up on so much, or better yet, we could sneak up on others.
I mean, karn's normally a very up-front sort of guy, but he doesn't care how unfair he is when he kills you, either.
>>
>>2786234
I...don't think we ever thought of that yet.
>>
>>2786234
we could ask the guardian or Freezy pop, my question is why would he want it, not a whole lot of people can sense energy and scouters are blown the fuck up when it tries to read us. we won't be sent on any infiltration missions, we're a hammer after all.
>>
because imagain us getting tactically inserted in the middle of enemy forces to fuucking inflict as much damage as possible and break their lines.
>>
>>2785255
Your aura glows a blazing golden, you following the three invisible Sangheili with your ki sense as the all drop towards you. Not yet, not yet... Now!

“DIE!!” you roar, slamming the hammer into the ground as the Sangheili close to within maybe a yard. The hammer activates as it strikes the ground, that concussive force slamming into the splitjaws and sending them tumbling uncontrollably. With the three of them unable to defend themselves you quickly dash to each of them, and use the bladed end of the hammer to either decapitate or cut open each of their heads. As you stand over the last Sangheili you pull the hammer from its corpse, resting the weapon on your shoulder.

“No wonder you liked this thing.” you mutter, relaxing and closing your eyes, focusing on the battle. King Cold’s ki is still massive, but has it shrunk a bit? You feel him carving a path, but for some reason he’s not causing as much damage as you think he could be. Closer than him are the Tamaraneans, still fighting in the space over the city. Fighting together as they are has greatly improved their effectiveness, taking much fewer casualties and holding the line much more firmly now. You also sense Meloka, Turles, Bardock and Tatsu all fighting together on the Guardian’s island, and holding their own. Closer to you, the battle also hasn’t changed much. The Covenant are still attacking from all sides, the Saiyans and Oozaru still holding the tide back. While you were fighting, however, more of those Sangheili have managed to sneak through the front lines. You can sense at least a dozen of them already within the city’s limits.

What will you do?
>Keep hunting down the Sangheili, they could cause trouble
>Rejoin the front, help deal with the ground forces
>Rejoin the front, help deal with the air forces

Higher-spec scouter technology is out there now, so the explosions aren't as much of an issue anymore.
I'm sure energy sensing will proliferate in time as well, but there are also just enemies with damn good senses and natural battle sense who might not consciously sense us, but still unconsciously sense our presence.

If we can learn to hide our powerlevel, we could sneak in to places with planetary sensors capable of reading us as well.
But more importantly, if we can hide our entire presence in the middle of a battle, our moves will seem strange to the enemy and become hard to read.
It'll also make for good energy control training, which karn really needs. He's still not on meloka's level when it comes to energy attacks, despite using them so much.

I don't know how much GD is still sticking to that dumb fighter type system, but it's still noted in the pastebin, so i guess he's still taking it into account.
Karn is a berserker type, meaning he's the sort to rush in headlong with melee attacks, while meloka is a blaster, someone who uses lots of energy attacks.

Of course, at the end of the day, one's ability to fight almost entirely comes down to their ability to manipulate energy in one way or another.
For karn, his most efficient techniques would be ones that play to his physical ability, like the energy blades.
That said, he still *has* to use wide-range or AOE attacks like final flash, super energy bomb and super explosive wave often, so being able to control his energy is important.
Also, we really, really need to complete the energy body technique. Not just complete it, but master it to the point that it's constantly active, just like our mastery of super saiyan, since it's one of those physical energy techniques that play to karn's strengths.

There's nothing better for a berserker than a good set of armour that lets him keep berserking.

I wonder if we can also get karn to do some pain resistance training?
I mean, it's not like his pain resistance is low to begin with, but if we could train that up to the point that he can just straight up ignore his wounds without so much as flinching until the moment he dies (which he already does to a significant degree), that'd be damn useful in combat, and fucking terrifying for any enemies.

We could do that at the same time as the spirit cuff training (https://youtu.be/jOeYAchgiAg?t=24), which would help karn keep his mind clear and focused no matter what happens to him.

Oh, and i wonder if we could have the scientists add extra features to the gravity chambers, like reducing the air pressure inside to a near vacuum, decreasing the temperature to the point that carbon dioxide falls out of the air as dry ice snow, or increasing it to the boiling point of water.
You know, to make it more like the hyperbolic time chamber.

It would certainly increase stamina and endurance more than simply upping the weight.

Those damn splitjaws could cause a lot of damage if left alone, and you’re one of the few Saiyans with both the power and the senses to handle them. While you’d rather be out on the front lines, this is too large a threat to ignore. You focus your senses on the Sangheili powerlevels, zeroing in on the nearest as you fly up into the air. Once you’ve found the first Sangheili you fly towards it through the air, hovering over it from above the rooftops for a few moments, then drop. You freefall through the air, lifting the hammer high above your head as you fall. The Sangheili has no idea you’re there, you slamming the hammer down onto it. The hammer activates as you slam the Sangheili’s head down into the ground, crushing it and splattering its blood and skull fragments everywhere.

As you rise back to your feet and look at the crater your attack made, you finally realize you’re still in your Ascended form. With a sigh you relax, transforming back down to your normal Super Saiyan form as you hunt with your senses for your next victim. Despite their efforts to hide you can easily track the Sangheili, finding your next target within seconds. You leap up into the air, and with a short burst of speed you quickly reach the next one. You use the same technique as before, dropping from the air and slamming your new hammer down. You crush this Sangheili as well, turning it to paste on the road. You go from Sangheili to Sangheili, crushing each of them with a single overhead strike. As you bring the hammer down on more and more of them, yet more manage to sneak through their lines. As you ‘fight’ the Sangheili, a thought creeps up into your mind.

“King Cold?” you ask out telepathically, Freeza’s father answering.
“Ah, yes Karn, what is it?” he replies.
“How’s shutting down their anti-magic going?” you ask him. “We have wounded down here we need to get out.”
“Its actually a rather intricate magical web they’ve cast.” Cold says, then goes into more depth. You’re completely lost, having zero knowledge of how magic works. The only things you think you understand from it are that there are three ‘circles’ of priests around New Salda suppressing magic. “But not to worry. Another few minutes at most, and I’ll have killed enough of them to unravel this web.”
“Good to hear.” you reply, crushing yet another Sangheili beneath your hammer. “Need any help up there?”
“Hmph.” he replies contemptuously. “I may be old, but it’ll be a cold day in hell before I need help in battle.”

And with that, he cuts the mental link.
cont
>>
>>2786591
Okay yeah, that's probably the best we could hope for.
>>
>>2786591
Well, even if he says that, we should go help him if we sense him getting fucked up.
Let's keep half an eye on him, shouldn't be too hard with his powerlevel.
>>
>>2786591
With that you resume your hunt, tracking down each one of the Sangheili who break through the lines and smashing them into the pavement. You soon notice that the Sangheili are no longer sneaking into the city, you killing the last three inside the city limits within a minute. When you can no longer sense any Sangheili energy within the city you widen your ki senses, observing the battle. Everything was much the same as before: Saiyans holding the line around the city, Meloka and the others aiding the Guardian, the Tamaraneans defending the city from space as King Cold takes down their priests. Before you can make your next move, however, you sense it. A group of massive powerlevels suddenly appear at the range of your currently-suppressed ki senses. They’re all massive, hundreds of thousands of powerlevels in the millions.

”Rejoice, heretics!” the voice from before calls out again, blasted out from every single Covenant warship. You know that voice from somewhere, but you just can’t place it. ”You shall all soon meet your fated end, for the Zealots have finally arrived!!”

“Karn, this is bad!” Vegeta says, telepathically. “You feel that?!”
“Yeah. Yeah I do.” you reply, taking stock of yourself. You’re battered and bloodied, armor and clothes destroyed from the waist-up, but you’re still standing tall. The Bloodstone in your boot is freshly charged up to even higher levels than when the battle started thanks to your future daughter’s ki. And now it seems that the real battle is about to begin!

What will you do?

“But you know what?” you reply. “I don’t give a damn!”
“Huh?” Vegeta asks you. “The hell are you saying, Karn?”
“I’ve had it with this Covenant.” you reply, Ascending. “And I’ve had it with these damn splitjaws! I’m not letting these bastards land!”

https://youtube.com/watch?v=5s9xI_D7qhU

With that you launch yourself into the air, first flying over to the hospital and setting your hammer down, Nappa looking at you curiously. You say nothing and keep flying, headed up towards the Zealot warships.

“Karn, what are you doing?” Meloka asks you telepathically.
“I’m handling this before they become a problem.” you reply, flames bursting out around you as you rapidly ascend into the atmosphere. You simply flare your sparking aura up further, it keeping the heat from reaching you. You take one last deep breath, then accelerate even faster and escape New Salda’s atmosphere. “I’ll be right back.”
“Go get ‘em!” Meloka replies. Despite her trying to send confidence your way, you can feel a twinge of unease through the psychic link.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be right back.” you reply, then end the link. You’re gonna handle this yourself.

You travel through the void of space, gathering your ki in preparation for your attack. You gather more and more of your ki, your body trembling with barely-restrained power as you fly towards the two hundred-odd Zealots’ ships. They all begin firing upon you at once, you activating your Barrier and not even slowing down. You fly uninterrupted into what you sense is the center of their ships’ formation, stopping right in the center and crossing your arms. Its time! You roar out soundlessly into the void as you again unleash your Red Dawn attack. Your ki burns as it changes from gold to red, exploding violently out from you in all directions. You can feel it as the Covenant’s Zealots are obliterated, your attack burning their bodies away as it snuffs their lives out. You pour more and more ki out, it escaping from you in a torrent of death and destruction as it destroys the Zealots who’d just arrived. After another few moments you regain control, ending the attack.

You sigh out, feeling a burning in your chest as your lungs demand much-needed air. You turn from the destruction you just unleashed, flying back to New Salda. Oddly, none of the warships in space fire upon you as you return, you quickly re-entering atmosphere and returning to the hospital’s roof. Nappa’s no longer there, you wondering where he went as you pick up your hammer and rest it on your shoulder. This battle may still be far from over, but you’re not done fighting back yet!

Because big ships are cool, and it would befit karn's rank and stature.

Only question is, should it be around the poles where it can be seen from anywhere on the planet, or around the equator?

>>2787166
Here's a question.
Where the fuck are the spartans during all this?

Covenant is getting it's shit pushed in, you'd think humanity would like to have a word with them right about now, too.
>>
>>2787166
>where would we get the tech?

I mean, the covenant just violated a Kai sanctioned treaty and invaded our home world. I assumed our next move would be to travel to their worlds, kill all the prophets and burn their civilization to dust? At some point I figured we'd cross paths with a Halo once they get sufficiently desperate.

Or maybe King Cold already put a counter attack in motion before coming here?
>>
>>2787218
Yeah, it can't exactly end with just the destruction of the covenant fleet.
We need to take everything from them.
>>
>>2787218
Oh right, I forgot we had a treaty. Hopefully we can get the kais to fuck their shit up
>>
>>2787216
>Spartans

Probable running around in the future of a non-adjacent parallel timeline? I don't think earth is an interstellar power/civilization yet in this universe, but I could be wrong.
>>
>>2787232
There are apparently many human-controlled worlds in SCQ's canon, not just earth.
>>
>>2787242
There are?
>>
>>2787242
>>2787252
Oh right, jojo, berserk
>>
>>2787252
Yeah, it seems that, at least sometimes, humans from various settings come from their own human-controlled world.
>>
>>2787242
Huh, I must have missed that. Well if we're going with a highly retconned origin I'm hoping GDQM takes some inspiration from XO-Manowar for their origin (the abduction from an ancient civilization and slave rebellion bits, not the overpowered technorganic armor piece).
>>
>>2787177
May be survivors found after the battle.
>>2787196
Yeah, my bad.
>>2787216
Did you think the entire Covenant force was here? They still have forces protecting their empire.
>>2787218
A counterattack could happen, but something else will happen first. King Cold did try to put a call out to a certain someone, but his message is being blocked. He’ll send it once he clears out their priests, and we’ll see what happens after that.
>>2787232
If there are, you haven’t reached their territory yet.

>>

Yeah I definitely missed something. I thought the Jojos were somehow shanghaied or accidentallied off world. Guts is hellbent on killing a daemon and is encased in a the freaking berserker armor, so it just makes sense that he's unconstrain by traditional boundaries. Samurai Jack is caught up in Aku's games so it also made sense that he'd have assess to interstellar travel given that Aku is off Earth...

We're there any other examples of humans (time patrol excluded) that I'm forgetting?
>>
>>2787320
Still not liking these trades, we need to help King Cold break the Silence faster.

The Jojos were, but because they were in space they ended up with their own spaceship when they went back to their homeworld. And Jotaro’s always nervous while riding in the ship with Joseph.

He’s after Aku, for SOME reason.
>Samurai Jack
He was flung far into the future, where Aku’s evil is law.
>>
>>2787350
>the Jojos brought an FTL ship drive back to earth

Ohhhh! Side questions: Did capsul corp secure the exclusive rights to reverse engineer the technology, Joseph's German friends, or some sort or multi-corp sharing agreement? How much did the Jojos get paid? Since the ship cot brought back, does that mean that the communications systems are live and someone (or some sort of heroic organizations governing body that may or may not employ a very bored bald man) is actually watching the Vox feed of this fight?
>>
>>2787350

What about other JoJo's?

Kek.
>>
>>2787454
>how long do Saiyans stay in their prime and how old is karn, again?
>He’s still 27, and not that long.
It sure is convenient that Primal Super Saiyan always takes the user back to his prime.
>>
>>2787473
Gee, sure would be basically cheating if karn trained with primal so much that he could just stay in the form forever and not age with the added benefit of eternally looking badass.
>>
>>2787473
>>2787482
Your body would still age at its normal rate. Just because you temporarily take the form of your prime doesn’t mean your body is actually still in its prime. At that point you’d kinda be like All Might in a way, pretending to be okay when you’re really just weak and frail and dying.
>>
>>2787546
Aging has it's perks desu.
I think Karn would look badass with a dash of gray and some stubble.
>>
i feel like we need some dragon balls soon get that Immortality Baby!
>>
>>2787572
>Immortality
Where's the fun in being a warrior if there's no immediate risk of violent death?
>>
>>2787572

ask to be unaging. we can still die in combat, but no pesy dying of old age
>>
>>2787546

So, given that the entire covenant are now Kai sworn oath breakers, does us murdering them fall under some divine mandate and actually help balance our karmic scale?
>>
>>2787580
Biological immortality, then. Don’t age, can’t die to disease or illness, but an energy blade to the brain bucket will still put you down.
>>
>>2787454
>and not that long.

Goku and Vegeta have looked like they're in their mid-thirties for like, forty years. If nothing else Saiyans LOOK younger than they are even if they don't age slower than humans but I'm fairly certain they have more longevity than humans.
>>
>>2787607
They dont stay in prime age for 140 years, but it IS closer to 90?
>>
>>2787546
Well, eventually we're definitely going to wish for immortality.
>>
>>2787580
Unlimited fighting?
Getting to use all our dumb ideas without worrying about failures fucking us?
Getting to go home to our immortal wife and children who aren't dead from being murdered to death?
>>
>>2787567
You’re a long way from that. Saiyans do stay in their physical prime for a long time.
>>2787572
There’s a reason getting the Dragonballs isn’t very likely.
>>2787602
We’ll see.
>>2787607
They have a bit longer than the average human, if they don’t die in battle.
>>2787774
And that’s the main reason why I’m not giving Dragonballs out. Game breaking is so easy to do in unfun ways with Dragonballs.
>>
>>2787935
>series called dragonballs
>no dragonballs

I don't see why you can't just let the immortality happen, at least towards the end of the quest, when you've fought all the big fights and it's time to let go.

in my experience with D&D, becoming a god or truly immortal doesn't kill all the fun, it just changes the mechanics.
>>
>>2787944
>Quest has Dragonball nowhere in title
I’ve said before I’m not giving out the dragonballs, because that’ll break the quest in unfun ways.
>at least towards the end of the quest
>end
As of right now, there are no plans for an end.
>>
>>2787968
I thought you said we weren't going to hunt for the dragonballs without a good reason?
>>
>>2787970
Exactly. Unless there’s a plot reason for them, they won’t happen.
>>
>>2787975
Real talk, Which of the dragon balls can kill time loli? Or make our daughter time loli?
>>
>>2787978
Potentially the Super Dragon Balls. But, could the dragon really grant the wish before she simply erases your scroll?
>>
>>2787980
Thanks boss, Any log thing from outsiders this week?
>>
>>2787985
Yup, Future Chaya epilogue will be sometime this week.
>>
>>2787980
Could we use the super dragonballs to make our timeline into a canon universe and merge it with the canon series? could call it universe 15 ore something?

Would itget time loli off our dick, or would it just show how much she fails at her job?
>>
>>2788091
>Could we use the super dragonballs to make our timeline into a canon universe and merge it with the canon series? could call it universe 15 ore something?
You could try. Would probably end horribly, as the two timelines collide and the two different versions of everything meld into an unsightly abomination. This would royally piss off Chronoa, as she’d have to undo that tangled mess. Would probably take her centuries of actual work to undo.
>>
>>2788119
Will characters from Yu Yu Hakusho show up in this quest? It'd be pretty cool to have a dark tournament with fighters from throughout the universe.
>>
QM UPDATE

With what I’d already typed up before this episode’s start, I’m now 7 posts in on this week’s epilogue. Right now, I’m looking at having that done by either late Wednesday or early Thursday. In the meantime, what do you think would be a good ‘vacation’ after this battle(implying you survive it, of course)?
>Dreadzone, enjoy someone else’s fighting for awhile, perhaps the kids can even jump in?
>Pokitaru, a beach vacation planet where absolutely nothing could go wrong
>Chaya and Broly are old enough for a supervised mission, have them take on one and watch over them
>Something else?
This is not exactly a vote, I’m just gauging interest in possibilities.

>>2789020
Quite possibly. As for some kind of tournament, who knows? Whoever’d organize such an event would have to offer a great prize to get the best fighters across the universe to gather.

To be fair the only person in Hell in canon who could IT was Cell. And people could argue the reason he didn't do it was because his spirit was broken when all of his attempts to win failed, even his suicide. You could also argue Yemma has complete control over the dead, which is plausible. But Karn isn't dead.

Just because we haven't seen it doesn't mean it can't happen. We also can't assume it is possible. Damn Schrodinger's teleportation.

I'm sure if we found a non-Majin'd Dabura he'd like to get out and maybe say hi to his sister.

I hear Demon King Piccolo is a swell guy this time of year.

Someday we will get a popular, fun anime that explains itself correctly and enough that there aren't glaring plotholes. Someday.

It was Super Saiyan. Super Saiyan + Kaio-ken equals out to Ascended Super Saiyan, power-wise. However, the strain on the body is even worse than Super Saiyan 3.

Wonder if stopping his getting Majin’d is something Towa’ll want you to do in your timeline?

This time of year, he’s still magically sealed up somewhere only a little blue imp would eventually find.

I've always wondered if Towa can turn people to stone with her spit. I mean, they're siblings but she's also blue and he's red. Adopted? Lucifer had blue skin. I think we're onto something here. Then again he's also a vampire. But a demon god as well? Wait hold on the streams are crossing and now it's confusing. Damn movies.

Usually when a black baby comes out of a white woman from a white father it's either some crazy unbelievable genetic lottery or she's a cheater. So yes, I expect siblings to look mostly alike. And they look nothing alike save pointed ears. People can tell who my family is when I stand next to em. If Towa and Dabura are in the same room you got some waifish chick of average height standing next to the biggest fucking dude you've ever seen if he ate the second biggest dude you've ever seen. I'm not saying it's impossible, but bro it isn't likely.

Yes. And none of them were running around claiming kinship with each other IIRC. Especially if you're talking about Goz and Mez, who never said they were related. They just worked together.
>>
>>2791546
I’m just saying demons are shown to be both red and blue, and we never see Towa or Dabura’s parents. Maybe their colors were determined by the colors of their opposite-gendered parent, or the same-gendered parent. Demons may not even have recessive/dominant alleles as we comprehend them and their color is completely arbitrary, or maybe they choose the color themselves once they’re old enough. Mortals simply don’t know enough about demons to know the hows and whys of demon biology.
>>
>>2791595
what about purple
>>
>>2791595
But bro, there were only two interracial couples in all of DB. Princess Snake and King Yemma. And Kami and Popo. Princess Snake was a goddess and King Yemma had a mahogany desk. Also not a confirmed relationship, just implied. Saiyans and humans are basically the same fucking thing really. Only way they could be so biologically compatible is if they were essentially the same. And still none of their kids turned out too different from their parents despite being literally aliens to each other.

It ain't like the demons are born out of fruits like those shady fuckin' kais. Wait they aren't right? Was that just some weird spinoff shit? Or was it that some asshole kais are born so they tell them to fuck off and they aren't actually demons?

Okay hol' up someone needs to sit down and talk to the content creators over there about keeping the food on their plates separate because this is getting out of hand.
>>
>>2791595

Uh yeah but was he?

I'm just fucking with you. One of my brothers has a different father from me, fuck all of that blood shit anyway. It's what's in the heart that matters. Shit, now I'm sounding like a bad shonen character.

Obviously we need to dissect us some demons. See how they work. But we'd need a mad scientist for that. Good thing the greatest Saiyan Scientist in history lives just down the road and his children play with Karn's. And he's pretty mad at lots of things.

Too bad Gero never got his hands on demon DNA or Kai fruit juices. His pet projects weren't ambitious enough.

I'd say they were plenty ambitious considering Cell could just absorb the Supreme Kai if he ever ran into him.
>>
>>2791686
But why would you want to absorb him of all people? I'd pick Kibito over him. At least Kibito has that cool old man lookin' vibe to him. And Kibito is just as bad as Shin.

Actually no, Shin acts like a dude cosplaying a god rather than a dude who is a god who has no idea what he's doing. Kibito is better confirmed.

I say Shin mostly because he has to be stronger than Kibito.

Uh, does the Cold clan count? I actually don't recall. But I'm sure that THIS TIME if we punch them double extra hard it'll knock them out.

I always liked to think that Instant Transmission is quicker to pop off it's just shorter ranged and less useful for going places whilst that Kai Kai thing was a bit slower to do but it has infinitely more utility since you can use it to go literally anywhere. -Saiyan Conqueror Quest 53 Epilogue-

AGE ???, TOWA’S LAB-COMBAT ARENA

“Dammit!” Mira shouts as your fist slams into his jaw, sending the huge warrior flying. He slams back-first into the arena’s reinforced wall, bouncing off and falling to a knee. You remain standing where you are, catching your breath as Mira struggles to rise, your fur glistening with sweat. Its still an odd sensation, even after all the time you’ve spent training yourself to handle this form. You are Chaya, daughter of Karn and Meloka and proud Saiyan warrior. Ever since you’d beaten that powerful Time Patroller Ace in your rematch, you’ve been cooped up here in Towa’s Lab with nothing to do but train.

“You okay?” you call to the blue giant, who still hasn’t managed to rise yet. “Need a hand?”
“I’m. Fine.” Mira says grumpily, managing to rise to a crouch before dropping back down to all fours.
“Hold on I’ll be right back!” you shout, dashing from the room before he could say anything else. You jog down the halls, quickly running towards Towa’s main lab. You’re certain you’d find her there, and your guess was correct. Does she ever sleep?

“Hey Auntie To-!” you shout, her holding up a finger to you as you see her holding the scrying orb, another her inside it.
“I’m putting you on hold.” Auntie Towa tells the different-looking Towa, you catching the other her say the words “pet monkey” before your Towa sets it down on its cushion and turns to you. “What is it, Chaya?”
“Do you have any more of those power supplies charged up? Mira’s down again.” you say, scratching the back of your head sheepishly.
“Again?” Towa asks you with a sigh. “This is the third time today.”
“I’m sorry, okay?” you say, then cross your arms and pout a bit, looking away. “Its not my fault he’s too weak to give me a good workout.”

You say nothing, not daring to look and see her angry at you, but soon the silence becomes oppressive. You turn slowly, prepared for the worst, but instead you’re surprised. Towa’s looking at you, a small, mischievous smile on her lips as you see her making a plan. She puts a finger to her lips, then turns and picks up the orb again.

“Sorry about that, Sister.” your Towa says. You know ‘Sister’ is a title, its how Towas in the Council address one another. “But I think I’ll take you up on your challenge. My strongest warrior against yours.”
“You really think your Mira can defeat mine?” she asks, incredulous. “You’re out of your league, dear sister.”
“Not my Mira.” Towa says, grinning smugly. “My strongest fighter.”
“Ohohohoho! You think your monkey can defeat my Mira?” she asks. “Oh, this shall be fun! The usual arena, ten minutes. Don’t be late.”

And with that, the image disappears, Towa turning to you with a self-satisfied smile.

“You ready?”

>>
>>2792317
“Hell yeah! Let’s do this!” you shout excitedly, then quickly eat the bean. You feel your power shoot upwards, the soreness and weariness disappearing near-instantly. “Let’s go!”
“Before we go.” she says, stopping you. “You should probably transform back down. She’s probably not aware of your strength or she wouldn’t be that arrogant. We don’t want her changing her mind before you get in the ring, right?”
“Alright.” you say, returning down to your base. “This better be worth it. I’ve been practicing how long I can stay in that form without powering down, so far my record is three days!”

“Well done, Chaya.” Towa says, a genuine prideful smile on her face. “I haven’t taken you on Council grounds, so there’s no time to go over protocol. Just stay right behind me, and don’t say anything unless someone asks you a question. Got it?”
“Uhhh, okay?” you say, kinda confused. Towa stands up, holding her spear vertically in one hand as it glows with demonic power. She then turns it slowly counterclockwise, as it opening a door knob. The energy around her staff stretches as her wrist turns, forming a hovering circle in midair.
“Stay close.” Towa repeats, stepping into the magical cylinder. You hesitate for only an instant, then follow Towa inside.

You feel your jaw drop upon seeing The Citadel, the capital of the Council of Towa for the first time. This place is massive, its like a giant city! Your senses come alive with all new sights, sounds, and smells! You feel your senses quickly becoming overwhelmed, the bustling activity and sheer number of people everywhere is such a difference from the barren halls of Towa’s lab.

“Pay attention now.” Towa tells you, her staff lightly rapping you on the forehead. “Don’t lose your head now. You can gawk afterwards, for now you have a fight to get to, remember?”
“Oh yeah!” you shout excited, a few nearby Towas looking at you curiously. “Let’s go already!”

You follow Towa closely as she navigates through the city, you beginning to feel nervous around so many people. You’d never been in crowds before, and you feel more and more uncomfortable with each step. As you travel Towa looks back, perhaps sensing your unease and holding her free hand back. You sigh in relief and grab onto her, feeing your anxiety disappearing. She smiles softly at your relaxing figure a moment then turns, pulling you along further into the city.
cont
>>
>>2792321
Towa pulls you quickly through the city, you realizing a few minutes in that she’s slowly leading you towards what looks like a colosseum. She leads you down the winding streets, crossing back and forth and never in a straight line. As you wander the crooked, twisting streets, a question comes to mind.

“Why aren’t the streets straight?” you ask her.
“This entire city is a giant spell.” Towa explains, you both walking around a rather large metal man, steam pouring from a nozzle on his head as he stomps by. “This entire place is built in the shape of a spell that prevents the Supreme Kai of Time from discovering us. Here, in this place, we are all truly safe from her.”
“Oh.” you say. If you’re so safe here, why does Towa never come here? But you keep that thought to yourself, letting Towa pull you along until you reach the colosseum. She pulls you up to a Towa and Mira standing on either side of a massive doorway, both looking rather bored at you.

“Staff.” the other Towa says, your Towa wordlessly holding her staff up horizontally. The gatekeeper holds up a strange device, running it along Towa’s staff. Nothing happens, the Towa then waving you both through with a bored look. “Move along.”
“What was that about?” you ask Towa as she leads you inside, walking up to what seems an administrative desk.
“Later.” she tells you, then turns to the strange creature at the desk. “Arena 3?”
“That Saiyan behind you is your fighter?” the bug-looking man asks her, you seeing the corner of Towa’s mouth rise in a smirk.
“Indeed.” she replies, pulling you up to stand beside her. “Is she already here?”
“Yeah yeah, go on through.” he says, pushing a button. One of the doors opens, Towa walking confidently forward. Before you can follow, the bugman’s tail snakes out in front of you. You notice it ends in what looks like a needle, the bugman pointing it menacingly at your chest. “But before you go, how about a little drink?”

You finally recognize the creature, Towa having shown you one before. Its known as Cell, and it drinks warriors to absorb their power. But this is its weakest form, and no match for you even without going Super Saiyan. Before he can react you snatch his tail, dash over to him and jab the point maybe a quarter-inch into his own neck.

“Try to stick me with that, and I’ll shove it so far up your ass you’ll choke on it.” you threaten, glaring into Cell’s buglike face. “Got it?”
“Alright alright, no need to get hostile.” Cell says, you glaring at him a moment more then releasing him. Without a word you turn and walk through the door without looking back, quickly catching back up to Towa in a dark hallway, then you both walk though a massive archway into blinding lights.

“Here we go.”
cont
>>
>>2792324
You both stride forth into the lights, you shading your face against the glare. Towa doesn’t seem bothered by it in the least, still holding your hand and guiding you as your eyes adjust.

“Ohohohohoho, so you didn’t chicken out after all?” the same speaker from the scrying orb calls out as you both walk forward. You’re still fascinated that, despite being the same person, your Towa and that one can sound so different. As your eyes adjust you pull your arm down, looking this Towa over. She’s dressed noticeably different, yet still in the same style as your Towa, and the several you remember seeing outside. This one is even wearing her hair differently, purposefully looking as different as possible. “It would seem I didn’t give you enough credit.”
“Like I’d miss my chance to take you down a few notches.” your Towa replies, both Towas’ hackles clearly raised. Perhaps they have more of a history than you know? Before anyone else can speak, a Towa identical to your own except for the collar with a odd symbol on it appears between the four of you.

“Sisters.” she says calmly but with authority.
“Sister.” both your and the different Towa say back, respectfully. Your Towa then speaks up. “Why are you here, Sister?”
“Master wishes to watch this fight himself.” she replies, you taking in everyones’ shocked faces, even the other Mira. “He and our precious daughter will be here momentarily, so I have come ahead to ask that you not start until they arrive.”
“Of course.” Towa and the different Towa both say together, the collared Towa smiling.
“Good. One moment then.” she replies, disappearing. You notice Towa’s really tense, you putting a hand on her shoulder.
“You okay?” you ask her, Towa jumping a little bit when you touch her.
“I’m fine, I’m fine.” she says, clearly not fine. “I wasn’t expecting him to be here.
“Who-?” you ask, but before she can answer you find out.

“All rise for the Demon God!” the Towa commands, reappearing between the four of you. But this time, she’s not alone. A small, grey blob creature in very obnoxiously bright greens, yellows and pinks is suddenly there beside her, as well as a similarly-dressed taller, lighter-shade female... Something? You’ve never seen creatures like these before, but their mere presence sends chills up your spine.

“Ladies.” it says in a raspy voice, crossing its arms across its chest. After a moment it throws it’s arms wide, peace sign in either hand. “Your Demon God Dumplin is here!”
cont
>>
>>2792325
Every single Towa and Mira in your eyesight kneels and bows to this ‘Dumplin’ except for the collared Towa and, you realize too late, yourself. Before you can kneel, however, this pudgy grey creature notices you. You can’t tell from it’s eyes, but you just know its looking at you. It feels like this entity peers into your soul, then smiles extremely creepily.

“That’s a nice look ya got kid.” it addresses you, looking you up and down. “You got a lotta spunk walkin’ in here like that.”

As he says this Towa turns, realizing you hadn’t put anything on after transforming back down from Primal and facepalms, her cheeks turning bright red.

“I’m sorry...Thank you?” you reply confused. This creature makes you feel REALLY nervous, as if its only a second away from attacking you. But then it laughs, slapping a mitten’d hand against your thigh.

“I like spunk, kid.” he says loudly, then gestures for you to lean in down towards him. You do so, warily. He then points over his shoulder, and continues speaking. “You see her over there, beautiful girl, dressed like me?”

You look over, the girl waving at you like an excited child. You wave back, then turn back to Dumplin and keep listening.

“That’s my precious daughter, Puddin.” he says, a dangerous gleam to his unmoving eyes. “She wants to see a fight, so I promised her a good one. If she ain’t happy, then Dumplin ain’t happy. And if Dumplin ain’t happy, you’re goin in the Fuckbox. Got it?”
“I...uhhh...understand?” you reply, nodding. The hell’s a fuckbox? You’ll ask Auntie Towa later, now doesn’t seem like the right time.
“Good kid, good. Just so you know, we’re both rooting for you, so break his metal ass!” Dumplin whispers, then turns and walks back to his... Family? He them waves to something to your right, calling out as he flies over to what seem to be VIP seating, “Alright ref, let’s get this party started!”

“Right then.” another Towa says, stepping forwards from the sideline up between you four. You notice she’s wearing a black and white striped skintight suit, instead of the usual colors. “Fighters, step forward!”
cont
>>
>>2792327
You stride forward confidently, staring down the giant as you both meet a mere foot apart. Your head is tilted back quite far to meet his eyes, showing no fear to the giant.

“Alright, everyone here should know the rules.” she says into a handheld mic, then looks to you again and sighs out. “Should. But I’ll go over them again, just in case anyone here has forgotten them. There are no time limits and no ring-outs. Fight as you will, as dangerously as you want, but you cannot kill your opponent. Fight until your opponent is unconscious, or they surrender. Fighters ready?”

“Ready.” Mira says, flaring his red aura and bulking up a bit.
“Ready!” you shout, flaring your aura up and transforming into an Ascended Super Saiyan. Referee Towa vanishes, reappearing outside the arena next to a pair of tiny humanoids, one a blonde male with a sword and the other a redhead in, wait is that a witch hat? With a flourish the redhead produces a pair of flags, a red one with a Saiyan tail on it and a blue one with the outline of Mira’s head and his white hair. She lifts both flags over her head, then swings them both down and shouts, “Let the fight begin!!”

“RRRAAAAAA!!” you roar out as you explode off the ground, launching yourself right at this Mira’s head. You open with a big right hand, which he easily catches with his right. You follow up with a left, Mira’s left catching it. For just a moment he remains still, arms crossed, then he pulls your arms into a cross as his straighten out, then spins you upside down and slams you into the arena floor.
“Is that all?” he asks, you seeing his eyes begin glowing as he prepares to fire Eye Beams at you. You react quickly, bending your core and pulling your legs in you curl into a ball, then explode out and drive both feet into his blue chin. Your kick connects, Mira releasing you as you send him flying. You flip back up to your feet as Mira controls his flight, backflipping once then landing lightly on his feet.
“You’re stronger than I thought.” you say, left hand on your right shoulder as you roll it out. You then drop your arms, hands clenching into fists. “Now let’s see if you can handle this! HYAAAAAAAA!!!”

With a shout you let your power explode, putting on a bit of a show as you transform up into Super Saiyan 3. You stand tall, long blonde hair flowing behind you as you stare down Mira.

“I’d say you won the first round.” you say, voice lower and rougher in this form. “Now, let’s start round two!”
cont
>>
>>2792329
You stand facing each other, both of you unmoving and observing each other, seeing who’ll make the first move. After about two seconds your patience wears out, again dashing headlong at Mira. But this time, you have a plan. You dash towards Mira in a controlled burst, ready for his attack. You leave your arms down, seemingly open as you rush. But Mira doesn’t take the bait, biding his time and waiting until you’re in his range to attack. He fires off a quick left-right, you dodging to your left then right, twisting counterclockwise and slamming your right fist hard in his gut. Mira wheezes in surprise, you then grabbing the back of his head with your left hand and and slam your left knee into his face. You feel his nose break with a satisfying crunch. Then you release Mira as he staggers back, twisting around and kicking him in the side of the head with your right foot. This staggers him to his right a half-step, but you’re not done. You continue the motion and roll, slamming your left heel into the side of his head and sending him flying.

You continue your twisting motion, landing back on your feet as Mira crashes to the ground. He doesn’t immediately spring back up, your attack seeming to have caused some damage. But a moment later you realize your folly, the Afterimage on the ground disappearing.

“Shit!” you shout, trying to turn around in time, but you’re far too slow. You feel Mira pressing a sphere of energy into your back, it exploding and sending you flying. The ridiculous hair of the Super Saiyan 3 form actually somewhat blocks the attack, absorbing much of the blast that was meant to probably cripple you. However you’re still sent tumbling, you controlling the momentum into front flips. You keep flipping right up to the far wall, landing on it feet-first then exploding off it back at Mira. You watch the giant brace himself, you pulling back your right for a powerful strike. He mirrors you, you both swinging simultaneously and slamming your fists into each other. The impact is tremendous, blasting you back a bit. However, Mira takes the brunt of the force, the impact sending the giant crashing into the far wall. You’re much stronger than him now, you’ve got this!

“Mira, stop playing around!” his Towa shouts, angry and indignant. “Show them your might, my Super Mira!”

Wait what?

>>
>>2792330
“Yes, mistress.” Mira replies, seemingly fine. “This ends now, Saiyan. RRRAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Mira roars, his red aura exploding out from him as he begins glowing. You watch as his body is consumed by a bright light, forcing you to shield your eyes with your arm. As the light dies down, you lower your arm, then gasp in surprise. He really transformed! His armor is now gone, Mira only wearing his red skintight suit. His hair is spiked up as if he went Super Saiyan, eyes now a dangerous red. His aura has changed as well, no longer red but a more dark, demonic aura.

“You’re finished.” he says, then vanishes before your eyes. You blink in surprise, then cry out in pain as something slams hard into your ribs. You feel at least two ribs crack as this ‘Super Mira’ strikes you under your left arm, sending you crashing hard into the far wall.

“Gyaaaaaah!!” you cry out, bouncing off the wall and falling to your face. You feel yourself revert back to your base form, clutching your broken ribs as your power plummets. “D-Dammit! No-not... yet...”
“Its over, Saiyan.” Super Mira says, folding his arms across his chest. “That hit broke three of your ribs, you can’t keep fighting in that condition.”
“Like! Hell! I! Can’t!” you snarl through gritted teeth, getting your legs beneath you and slowly, painfully getting back up. You’re clutching your ribs, breathing heavily through clenched teeth as you stand unsteadily on your own feet, yet you’re still standing. “I’m not! Not done yet!”

“And what can you do like that?” the other Towa taunts, ‘Ohoho’-ing as smug as you’ve ever heard. Oh, now you just have to kick his ass!
“This!” you shout, crossing your arms before you and raising your power, not taking your eyes off Super Mira. “You weren’t! The only one! Holding back!! HYAAAAAAAAAA!!!!”

You throw your head back and shout, your scream turning into a Oozaru-like roar as your body quickly changes. Your black hair grows out longer down your back as reddish fur sprouts out all over your body. Your back arches as you finish transforming, eyes closed and savoring your body returning to its strongest form.

“Alright, ‘Super’ Mira.” you say, opening your eyes and staring him down. “Let’s end this.”
cont
>>
>>2792331
You drop into the stance your Daddy taught you so long ago, left arm up to block as your right is held back and at the ready, prepared to strike. Mira stands confidently, arms down by his sides as if he doesn’t need to defend himself. You’ll show this smug asshole what you can really do now.

“You not gonna come get me, big boy?” you taunt with a smirk. You see Mira’s eye twitch in annoyance, you’ve got him now. “What, afraid of a little girl?”
“Mira, crush her already!” the other Towa calls out angrily. Mira says nothing, simply exploding off the ground at you. He’s still fast, but now you can actually follow his movements. And, more importantly, counter them. He rushes straight at you, swinging at you with a heavy two-handed overhead strike. You cross your arms above your head and brace yourself, Super Mira’s fists slamming into you. The force of the blow is tremendous, your arms and back taking the weight of this strike. Your feet slightly sink into the floor of the arena as you withstand his attack, Mira’s eyes widening in surprise.

“Wh-What?” Mira says, stunned. “But how?”
“Is that, grrr, all you’ve got?” you taunt the giant through gritted teeth, straining against his power. You then smirk and let him ‘overpower’ you, you planting your hands on the grouns as you curl up and aim your feet. He realizes what’s about to happen, but can’t react in time. You explode outward like a spring and slam both of your boots into his gut, Mira wheezing as you force the air from his body and sending him flying. You flip over onto all fours then launch yourself airborne as well, pursuing the giant. Your kick sent him flying, but you’re right on his tail. You dash after him, and before Mira can reorient himself you’ve already caught him.

“My turn now!” you snarl, much more feral than usual. This form always makes you a bit more animalistic and instinct-driven than your base or even your other Super Saiyan forms. And despite all of your training to try and reign this in, you’re still incredibly feral. But for now, you’re just gonna cut loose and have fun!
cont
>>
>>2792332
“RRRAAAAAAAAA!!” you roar, unleashing a powerful barrage of blows on ‘Super’ Mira. Your fists and feet fly, striking him over and over and over and over. You end it after well over a minute of unloading, ending with a knee to the gut then a double axe handle into his back. Your final strike sends Mira down hard, slamming hard enough into the reinforced arena floor to shatter it, forming a crater in the center of the ring. You land outside the ring with your arms crossed, watching Mira slowly pushing himself to his feet. “C’mon, don’t tell me you’re done already? I was just getting warmed up.”

“Hell yeah girl!!” someone shouts, you turning and seeing a middle-aged Saiyan woman up in the stands drinking, saluting you with a beer can. “Kick his ass!”

Her cheers galvanize the audience, hundreds cheering you on as your opponent struggles to get up on his feet. You stand, soaking in the audience’s praise as the redhead, now also somehow in a referee outfit leaps up into the ring.

“One!” she calls out, dropping the arm with the Mira flag down. “Two! Three!”
“I! Won’t...!” Mira calls from the crater, straining to rise.
“Four! Five! Si-Oh! He’s UP!!” the redhead calls out, you turning back to Mira.
“I WON’T LOSE!!” he roars, energy flaring. He quickly crosses his arms across his chest, you seeing his power dangerously building. He then crosses his arms, his aura vanishing for a brief second. Then he releases his energy, blasting out from him from every side. You see the redhead create several energy balls, them all forming a barrier between herself and his attack as you do your best to block. His energy slams into you both at almost the same time; you watching the tiny ref tossed away by the sudden explosion, her shield saving her from any harm. You, however, take the attack head-on.

“GYAAAAAAAAAA!!” you cry out in pain as his power overwhelms your defenses, blasting you back away into a wall. The force of the blow slams you actually into the wall, the stone-like material supporting your weight as Mira’s attack ends. You feel the breaks in your ribs from before, as well as crippling pain in your back. Your body is too stunned to move, your limbs no longer responding. You watch helplessly as floats up and out of the crater, seemingly uninjured. But by the hate you see in his eyes, you can tell you hurt not only him, but his pride as well. It’s personal now, and he’s coming for you.
cont
>>
>>2792333
“You’re far stronger than I’d thought, warrior.” Super Mira says, floating up and out of the crater. “But it’s over now. You can’t win.”
“Like. Hell. I. Can’t!” you say, pulling yourself out of the wall only to fall face-first on the arena floor. “I’m not. Gonna lose. To you.”
“You were a worthy adversary to face my full power.” he says, floating higher as his aura changes, darker energies flowing through it. “But I’ve surpassed my own limits! I cannot possibly be beaten now!”
“Mira stop, you’ve blown your limiter!” his Towa shouts, you looking over and seeing genuine panic on her face. “You have to stop now and let me repair it, or you’ll overheat!”

Mira doesn’t seem to hear her pleas, floating higher as he pulls his right hand back, laughing and forming an enormous ball of demonic ki over his head. You struggle and push yourself up to one knee, almost rising to your feet but falling back down. That hit took a lot out of you, you’ve never been hit that hard before. But you’re still here, so you can still fight!

“This surge of power, its extraordinary!” he shouts, the sphere doubling in size, then doubling again as he laughs maniacally. He’s clearly gone mad with his new power, but can you stop him?

“Chaya, can you hear me?” Towa’s voice echoes in your mind, you turning to look at her. She’s clearly worried, you can see it all over her face. “Look its okay, you don’t have to do this. I’ll get the referee to call i-“
“Don-Don’t... you... dare.” you say, redoubling your efforts. You say it out loud, unsure if she can hear you as you focus on getting up. “Don’t stop. The fight now. I. Haven’t lost. Yet!”
“...You’re too much like your father sometimes, you know that?” she replies, you looking back at her shocked. She still looks worried, but she puts on a brave smile. “Alright Chaya. Go! Go get him, and win this!”
cont
>>
>>2792336
It takes you a moment to get over your shock, but you then give Towa a toothy grin. Your mind fully focused now, you move your body. Despite the groans of pain from your joints you manage to rise. You stand tall; tired, beaten down, and broken, but you still stand.

“You’re already beaten, yet refuse to surrender.” Mira says, the madman laughing then again doubling the sphere of energy above him. Its now massive, nearly as tall as that giant tree you knocked Ace through in your first rematch with the Time Patroller. “This will make crushing you all the more satisfying! You wi...”

You tune out his ranting, pulling back your right fist as you gather your energy. Just as your Daddy’d taught you all those years ago, you send the energy into your fist, the energy doubling and redoubling as your strength multiplies itself over and over. Your fist is glowing bright with all the stored power, and you know just where you’re gonna put it!

“Let’s end this, Mira!” you challenge, all of your remaining power stored in your fist.
“It is useless to resist!” he shouts, dropping the colossal ball of energy down. You watch it approach, muscles tightening in anticipation. You can do this! You kick off of the ground, aiming right for Mira through his massive attack, then unleash.

”DRAGON FIST!!!” you roar, golden dragon exploding out around you as you charge Mira’s attack. You have no hope of stopping such an attack so you don’t even try, instead punching straight through it. You accelerate as your attack travels, quickly punching straight through his attack, much to Mira’s surprise.
“WHAT?!” is all he has time to shout, your fist and the golden dragon slamming into his gut. You roar along with the dragon, pitting all your power against Mira’s defenses. He grabs your attack, trying his best to push you off but it’s useless. “N-No! This cannot be!”
“GRRRRRAAAAAAAAA!!!” you roar one final time, pushing with every last ounce of your strength. Suddenly you feel his defenses give, your fist then entire attack and even body punch through Super Mira! You did it!
“I-Impossible...” you hear Mira say. You barely have any strength, turning to Mira as you fall. You see him grasping at the gaping hole in his chest, the two of you crashing to the arena down below. At first everything is silent, then the audience explodes with cheers as you lay there, completely exhausted. You really did it!

You and Mira both fall from the air, crashing gracelessly to the ground. You simply lay there face down on the floor and gasp for air, too exhausted to celebrate your win. You won the fight, now time to take a well earned-

“They’re down! Both fighters are down!” Referee Towa shouts. “If neither fighter is up before the ten-count, this explosive match will end in a draw!”
“ONE!!” you hear the redhead shout, flags snapping as she flips them. “TWO! THREE!!”
“Get up Chaya, get up!!” Towa cheers you. “Don’t you give up now, Get up!!”
“FOUR!” the redhead shouts, you hearing much of the audience cheering you on. You can still win this! Every fiber of your body protests as you begin to move, getting your hands under you to push yourself up. You almost get a knee under yourself when your form gives out, reverting back to your base form and falling back face-first to the ground. “FIVE!! SIX!!”
“Dammit. I wanted to win, too...” you think, as darkness takes you.

“Chaya.....”

“Huh?” you ask out into the void. “Is someone there?”

“Chaya...”

“D-Daddy?” you ask the darkness, confused. “Is that you?”
“Chaya, you need to get up.” your fathers voice replies, you seeing his battle-scarred ghostly silhouette beginning to appear. “Don’t give up now!”
“But. But I WON!” you say back a little defensively. “I punched right through him!”
“And?” he replies, his one good hand on his hip in a stern gesture. “Are you gonna be satisfied with ‘good enough’? Or are you gonna get back up, and show them that you are the best?”
“But I, I can’t!” you say back. “I used everything I had, I have nothing left.”
“Here, take my hand.” he says, holding out his ghostly hand. You reach out, grasping it and feeling his warmth seep into you “I’ll help you kiddo, I’ll always be here for you. Now, get up! Get up!”
“Get up Chaya, get up!” you hear Towa and others shouting at you as your eyes snap open. You’re not done!

“EIGHT!!” the redhead shouts, again dropping the flags down with a flourish. You press your palms to the arena floor, and despite every fiber of your being protesting, you begin pushing yourself up.
“NIN-Oh?” she says, stopping her flags halfway down. “It looks like Chaya’s trying to get up! NINE!!”
“I WON’T LOSE!!” you shout, getting one foot under you and then the other. You sway unsteadily, stumbling to your right a step, but you do it! You’re standing!
“AAAAAAND TEN!!” the redhead shouts, swinging the Mira flag down and lifting yours high. “That’s it ladies and gentlemen, the winner is CHAYA!!”

>>2792343
You stand tall, swaying unsteadily on your feet as the stands explode into cheers and applause. You lift both arms over your head, the movement sending you off balance and causing you to tip backwards. You don’t even try to correct it, simply falling back onto your back exhausted.

“You did it!” Towa shouts excitedly, running up onto the stage along with the other Towa. She runs to her Mira as Towa runs to you, putting her arms under your shoulders and hugging you for just a moment. She then seems to remember where she is, coughing a bit and looking you over as her cheeks blush a bit at her embarrassment. “You have done an excellent job.”
“What did you do to my Mira?!” the other Towa calls, laying her hands on her Mira as he reverts back to his normal form. “Grrr, I’ll get you for this Sister. Perhaps that other pet monkey of yours...”

And with a sinister chuckle she and her Mira vanish.

“That can’t be good.” Towa says, getting an arm under your shoulder as she helps you up to your feet and supports your weight. “I have a bad feeling about this.”
“That was an excellent fight kid!” Dumplin calls out, waddling over with his daughter behind him. She’s a ball of energy, flying over and grabbing your free hand and shaking it.
“WOW that was like so cool, nya!” Puddin says, you watching as her arm bends in inhuman ways as she shakes your hand. “And you actually got him with a Dragon Fist, none of the Time Patrollers can get that one to hit. You just gotta teach me that one!”
“I-I’d love to. you reply. “But there’s something I gotta go take care of.”
“If you mean her, don’t worry about it.” Dumplin says, to your surprise. “We’ll take care of that, won’t we?”
“You bet’chnya!” Puddin replies. “Oh, and if you wanna send him any energy for the fight I can take it to him.”
“Oh. Yeah, here.” you say, gathering the last drops of your power into your right palm. You send it to her, one of her arm holes expanding and swallowing the energy. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome!” she replies, then turn to Dumplin. “I gotta go to work, bye Daddy!”
“Later sweetie.” Dumplin says, Puddin disappearing. With that your body drifts back into unconsciousness, one thought on your mind as the void swallows you.

“Thanks Daddy. For everything.”

Not a bad plan, karn doesn't punch people much anymore, but he's still technically an extreme strength type, so if he does, it's gonna fucking hurt, and it'll definitely prematurely crush a bean.

>>

He regrets the loss of Covenant lives, yet he still believes victory attainable. If the battle is lost, however, his regret will reach new heights.
>>2795369
Not inaccurate. However, you’ve taken noticable damage to get this far, and despite your rest your energy is still really low. You’ve pushed well past your usual limits this battle, and it’s already caught up to you once. Will your strength hold out until the end?
>>
>>2795399
True, but we do have chayas energy in our blood stone to fall back on vs the arbiter.

And worst case scenario, we can always activate the rage monster. But I feel at that point its just mutually assured destruction.
>>
>>2795399
You ready for us to roll like shit vs the arbiter?
>>
>>2795451
Oh please, if that happens all we need to do is back off, strip down, confuse the shit out of Arby and the crowd as to what the actual fuck we are doing, then cock slap his head so damn hard that if he has any kids. Prefacing this as him having the chance to breed before leaving, and the fact of his suicidal station probably discouraging that to females nearby. A giant Karn shaped birthmark will retroactively appear on their faces before birth, forever. Which is again prefaced with the gushing of multiple females, and the impotence of males, all across the galaxy for his third leg.
>>

We will just have to roll even further beyond!

The Tabaxi Bard is on her phone most of the time.
The Aasimar Hexblade Warlock is a hoarding murderhobo
The Human Fighter is a HP tracking murderhobo
The Half-Elf Bard just wants to creatively resolve issues and see how she can interact with varying NPCs, but the murderhobos make that difficult for her and she is losing interest.
The Halfling Bard started out handling situations in a really interesting way, but has devolved into murderhoboing because of peer pressure.
The Goblin Bard is scared of everything.

There's a few other issues, but those are the main ones, I think. Thankfully, they should be wrapping up in this next session and then one of them is having a baby IRL so I'll get a break from them for awhile to reevaluate how I want to run for them.
>>
>>2796957
Throw something with fuckhuge HP and regen but really low offensive abilities at them. Try to spin it like a noodle-armed wimpy Nemesis from RE:2. Gotta outrun it or find some way to stop it because boi you ain't killing that motherfucker first time you see him. Or you could do a high DR/- for a type of damage they don't have in excess. From the way you've described them maybe /Lawful or /Good. Something they could have but not a lot of. Maybe /Electric or /Heat? I dunno what kind of element the warlock is rocking, if any. But the lack of wizards in the party means not the most variety in the types of magical damage they can put out.

Why so many fucking bards, though?
>>
>>2796957
>The Tabaxi Bard is on her phone most of the time.
Unforgivable
>The Aasimar Hexblade Warlock is a hoarding murderhobo
Is it at least for rp reasons?
>The Human Fighter is a HP tracking murderhobo
I can’t say anything, I unconsciously do.
>The Half-Elf Bard just wants to creatively resolve issues and see how she can interact with varying NPCs, but the murderhobos make that difficult for her and she is losing interest.
Great player.
>The Halfling Bard started out handling situations in a really interesting way, but has devolved into murderhoboing because of peer pressure.
A shame.
>The Goblin Bard is scared of everything.
Is it at least roleplayed well?
>>
>>2796982
That could be cool. They're at the end of the mines of phandelver main story, but have done NONE of the side quests... So if I keep running for them after the baby is born, I'll do something to make them rethink their actions a bit. Right now I'm toying around with how I can use Venomfang and the Many Arrows tribe to my advantage.

As for the bards, well... The halfling bard is a musician and wanted to play his mandolin at the table. It's really neat. His wife is the Tabaxi bard, so she just rolled with it, and the half-elf bard was interested in playing a Olivia-type character. If you've never played Fire Emblem, she's a dance/sword fighter, I think.

The final bard is the NPC Droop. A friend wanted to jump in last minute, and then forgot to bring his character sheet that he rolled out, so I offered him the chance to play Droop, who the group had rescued the session prior.

>>2797088
>Is it at least for rp reasons?
No, he just REALLY likes Monster Hunter and refused to play a ranger or fighter for whatever reason.
>I unconsciously do
Yeah, it's not that big of a deal. I've just started rolling for random HP, or assigning somewhere between default and max. He just has a lot of camraderie with the Warlock because they are cousins IRL, and they get loud and obnoxious when planning their attacks, which end up literally being charge in and smash.
>Great player
She really is. I've been debating running some solo adventures for her in my own homebrew world.
>Is it at least roleplayed well?
Absolutely. As I've said before, it's a friend playing the NPC Droop. He's doing great, but it's hard to tell if he's enjoying himself or not.

Thanks for letting me vent a bit guys.

>>2797363
>Lost Mines of Phandelver
Oh shit I played this campaign before.
Let me tell you the tale of Coseph Stalin.
Coseph was a Ranger who really liked his animal buddies and acting like a hoodlum.
Pretty early in the campaign he almost got the group killed because he tried to tame a bear by jumping on it's back and jamming a crowbar in it's jaws.
Some time later we made it to the hub town and got into a bar brawl with the local bandit group.
Things are going well, we're winning the fight, etc...then the roof starts falling apart and everything is on fire.
What happened was Coseph was napping behind the bar before the fight started, peaked in and saw us at a point in the fight where we were out-numbered, went full on PANIC mode, and proceeded to toss a torch onto the roof of the inn with the intention of causing a distraction.
After we put out the burning ruins of the inn, half of of party was detained while the other went on an investigation (which soon turned to larceny, trespassing, and felony assault. All that was Coseph as well.)
As a result of him fucking up our standing with the town right off the bat, he effectively threw away all the side-quests in the town, and therefore the campaign.
It all ended well though, he was a pretty good strategist and worked well with most of the team. Super creative with his resources.
>>
>>2797363
Hey no problem, not healthy to keep rage and/or frustration pent up. That can lead to blackout rages where you chop down a tree with a bowie knife
>>
>>2796957
Remove the tabaxi bard and murderhobos, keep the halfling bard and reform his peer-pressure induced ways.
Problem solved.
