-"Calm down,Cpt. Cash. What's the matter?"

"Calm- DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN UNTIL YOU SEE THIS SHIT!"

".... I think we need a bigger asylum"

-" Well damn, you didn't say anything about the hottie."

"While I appreciate the compliment, I'm afraid I'm straight, Mr. Lawton"

"Smartass. I am talking about the nurse."

-" The beast is here. The beast is near. The hunter of man. The killer of his kind."

" Where is he! Stop giving me damn cryptic clues!"

" He sheathed his claws but the hunt is on! "

Now began another descent into madness

----

>Week 3

It's like a calm before the storm.

You are nervous as nothing happened the following days but the low level cells are being monitored carefully. Guard Gregory and George's punishment was a month on the Mid lvl cells patrol list.

>+1 health (9/10)
> legs are healed now but not fully healed.

With the bandages fully opened, the only evidence of your bravery or foolish plot was the scars on your thin legs.

"You should be fine for a while, just dont overwork yourself," The chief doctor says after poking your legs," Get some exercise and rest. Take this twice a day." He than gave you a cane from the first time you arrived here.

Whether it is a blessing or not, Nurse Samantha Insisted to keep on escorting you until you are fit to walk alone.

For now, the danger is still here in Arkham Asylum, lurking inside like cancer.

"Now, now. Don't be so...excited! The adventure just started!" A new voice creeping inside your head, followed by a cheerful humming.

"Who...are you?" You whispers as you walk through the cold labyrinth that is Arkham Asylum with Nurse Samantha beside you. Each step followed by the sound of a cane echoing through the lonely corridors.

A teasing chuckle rattles your brain,"Me? Lil' old me? Just call me Jack. I think we can be real tight pals!"

Then a flash of malice. A dangerously dark malice from the corner of your eyes and brain.

"Dr. Arkham? Are you sure you're fine today? Your face is pale," The nurse quickly went to your side, putting her warm hand on your temple. Its...relaxing.

"Oho! Better get that slut, Sebby. She really love attention," The voice giggles then another session of humming.

"I am fine, Nurse Samantha," you gently push her hand," We have work to do.

'Oho! This will be a fun ride!....try not to die though.'

--

The low security recreation room may look peaceful as always but there is a strange air around the room, as if a single drop of a pencil can break the whole peace. The guards can feel it and the patients tried to ignore it. It is as if a warm putrid air washes on your face.

It's disgusting...

'Now, now. Since the others have chosen for mad world, why not take a seat over there," Jack says with a giddy tone.

You don't feel so....

"Dr. Arkham? Dr. ARKHAM!"

A voice screams as soon as you feel the strong pull of gravity dragging you to the floor

Where...where are you?

"Well, my boy! We are in the mind of your 'villain'," The voice...it came from behind!

And there he is, the madness in the flesh. A handso....GUH. A strange tall man is grinning at you with his mismatch teeth and a single empty tooth. A slick black hair and a wide black eyes with feet dancing while you are describing him...

Wait...

What the hell? What happened to your mind?

This is...Gotham...

You recognized the landmark and the bridge but it's all...mashed together into a labyrinth. Some of the buildings actually float in the air, spinning gently as if it is the most natural thing in this world.

Then there are numbers in different symbols etched to every walls of the buildings: Tally. Roman numerals, Chinese numbers...etc.In the distance, you can see Arkham Asylum towering other buildings with lights coming out from the crevices of its old, rotting doors.

And the people... The people here are zombies, dragging themselves around with empty rotting eyes and nauseating stench. Everyone does the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over....

You caught yourself, almost succumbing to the madness that is this world.

Jack is nowhere to be seen and you are lost...

What the fu...wait a minute!

Among the rotting corpses, you saw a man hiding in the alleyway, eyes full of determination. This man is alive judging by his still healthy flesh.

Slowly but carefully, you began approaching the living man.

In the middle of the path, he noticed you and seemingly surprised at your presence. After a quick look-around, he signals you to quickly come over and you did. Hopefully you did not disturb the zombies.

"What the hell... you are alive like me!" He smiles after scanning your whole body," I thought I was the only one! Miracle does happen!" The man in front of you is blonde young man with a set of perfect pearl white teeth and a fit body. But his eyes... They have determination and goal as if he know his destiny.

"So, what's yer name?" The man asks, clearly happy to see a living person.

"S-Sebastian," You reflexively answered and offer a handshake.

He took it and shake your hand vigorously,"Nice to meet you, Sebastian. The name's Victor! Am I glad to see the same person like me!"

Most likely we have just met the killer, some sort of gatekeeper for this insane world pr another of the patients which might help us solve this. More likely the killer.

We need something to stall his murder. Let´s give him something to do (it doesn´t has to be very logical, we don´t even have house keys) and try to interact with the world to see if we can put a message to home.

Make marks on the ground to signal who Victor really is, put stones forming hs name, those kind of things.

"Mind waiting for a bit? It seems I've lost something important to me," You say, trying to stall this madma- Sane man from doing his work...

>+1 Insanity (-6/-10)

" What didja lose pal?" Victor eyes you suspiciously, slowly pulling out a knife from his pocket.

It's...the knife from the low level patient's.

Suddenly you don't feel safe as he slowly approaches you with a focused gaze.

Then the unthinkable happened. He gave you the knife," What didja lose, pal? You know two heads are better than one." The cold steel glints at your nervous gaze.

"M-my wallet? I mean it got my ID and family photo." You automatically says, hoping for him to keep biting the bait.

Victor nods with a bit of somber mood then pat your shoulder," I get it. I know how it feels to lose everything. Anyways, where do you think the wallet is?"

You point at a random building and he nods, quietly moving towards the mentioned building. Now you feel guilt creeping on your neck, mocking you for the sins you've just committed.

Now how do you-

"Return to the .real world?" Jack suddenly appeared from the trashcan beside you, still smiling," Just stab it to your face."

....What?

"I am sorry?" You say, questioning the madness of his method.

"Well, if you want to," he shrugs," or just go to your home. It works too."

Since Victor will be coming back, you put a fake trail just to buy more time for yourself. it might be a bit selfish but this is the Mad World after all.

As you began making an arrow from the rocks on the ground, you began asking your unreliable guide some questions," Where did you go?"

Jack just grin, scratching his pale cheek," Well since you were not following me, i have been following you from behind."

What? What kind of logic is that?

>+1 Insanity (-5/-10)

"Moving on," You sigh, increasing the pace," If i stab myself will there be consequences?"

"Other than it hurts like a bitch, none...well...maybe your brain will overload and have massive migraine but nothing permanent," Another maddening grin. He is really unreliable....

"Hey that hurts..." He pouts

"Wha?...never mind. Last question, is this all product of my and his fevered imagination, with no real life consequences?A yes or a no will be sufficient."

"It's all yours," He began clapping and clapping until his hands bleed," But this has been a very fun ride!"

Not very helpful.

Now that you're set, it's time to go back.

You quickly run towards the asylum, disturbing the zombies along the way. Strangely, they are still doing their repetitive movement. Jack is keeping up with you, chewing his nails and fingers with excitement.

Finally at the door of your Asylum, you can see Victor returned to the place and scratching his head then followed the arrow. While you feel a bit guilty, you must return to reality.

"Really though? We can always stay here and play with our new pal, Vicky!" Jack slide his face against yours," It's gonna be fun!"

> Insanity low. Logic wins.

" No! I have things to do," You push the Asylum door with all your might and...

It is as if the world returned to normal and a drill digging your brain with all it's might.

"Cough.COUGH. COUGH," A bit of blood floes from your nose and you collapsed on the floor.

"Doctor!" The nurse quickly picked you up and put you down on one of the chairs. She then gave you two painkillers to suppress the headache.

>Now is your big moment! Who is this month's villain? ( If you can give me his full profile or name, weapons, and anything related to the case, there will be a bonus)
>>
This month's villain is Ivan Vancovic - Patient 34.

The "stab self with knife to leave the Mad World" thing fits because he has a history of self-harm.
The knife he gave us is from the low level patient area. Ivan is held in the low level patient area.
The buildings in the Mad World have numbers on them. He carves tally marks on his own skin and has autism, which relates to numbers in his case.
The nurse Victor pointed out in the Mad World looks like Nurse Rose, who is in charge of managing Ivan in the low level patient area.
He's a blonde-haired guy with white teeth, should be easy to locate among the low level patients.

Also from last thread:
>Nurse Rose: Yes everything's fine...No, well actually I feel Ivan is always watching me after he talk about some liberation thing. It's kinda creepy...
He also has zealous thoughts and minor delusions of grandeur, which fit his overall state.

Get Cash and the other security together and apprehend him at once!

" I am fine.... Get Cash," Another deep breath to lessen the pain.

'Oh stop being such a baby. You get a reward for this ya know,' The annoying voice tried to comfort you. Well... tried.

' It's the intention that counts', you can even see him grinning...

After a minute or two, Cpt. Cash thankfully appeared with half a dozen of Max Security Guards, equipped with riot gear," Did you find him?"

You nod," Get Ivan Vancovic to the Max Security and get Nurse Rose to safety. Now!." They nod without hesitation and wrangle the suspect from his room. Thankfully the knife only injured half of the Max Security before the take Ivan away.

You caught a glimpse of the man in the flesh. Bald and full of bandages with burning eyes full of determination..

---

"I cant fucking believe it..." Cpt Cash says as soon as the patient make himself comfortable n his new room," It's fucking Victor Zsasz...."

Victor Zsasz... the serial killer...an unrepentant insane man with no empathy...

'And a good looking scars too...ladies love them, ya know...'

The head of security massages his temple," How the fuck does he land on low security?"

"Fucking incompetence that's what..." The head of HR pats his friend's shoulder," I think am gonna review our prisoners so this shit will not happened again."

"You did good, kid" Cpt. Cash pats your back," You just saved Nurse Rose's life."

"I'll get ya a drink later," Old Joe grins as he exited the room.

>+1 approval from Cash and Old Joe

But you are still enthralled by the killer.... He looks so sane and helpful in the mad world

' Why not visit him again? It's easy'

No...You will not go back again... You have things to do...

Before you left, Victor left a parting word," Why? Why did you obstruct my holy work? Are we not the same? I know you understand my work." The guilt felt like a knife digging your back just like Brutus betraying Caesar.

The same... Are you though? You do understand his world after all...

Never mind that, you still have a bank to visit. With your cane, you walk our of the max cells and prepare or the next trip.

The Bank of Gotham
---

"No,"

"What do you mean no? This is important Nurse Samantha," The nurse refused to let you out of the hospital.

" Dr. Arkham. You suddenly collapsed for no reason and have a nosebleed for no reason. You are tired and you must rest." Her Iron Will is no joke, able to hold you off even with your authority.

' Why not guilt her? She will never understand so she is basically useless. Otherwise she will hound you for life! Ahahahahahahahahaha'

You let out a tired smile. It felt like you've avoided something dangerous.

You almost lose your patience when they reject your appeal for a loan and mentioned that the mayor have half of your funds. They even call a manager to deal with you.

First, it is not a loan, but rather a debt transfer. You get me the money now and get the debt, with the additional perk of having some leverage with the town hall.

More importantly, the facility I direct is filled to the brim. The risk of a riot getting out of control is high and I
do not need to tell you what would happen to your bank in that case, especially taking into account how many of my patients have made en

' Why must you pick the boring option?'

Hush you.

'Yeah, you're lucky the dice is in your favor'

What are you talking about?

Anyways.... You take a deep breath and look at this lazy piece of human waste with your cold, professional doctor stare," Listen here, I am not here to take a damn loan. The mayor owes me and some the money I need to keep Gotham safe. Call this a debt transfer or whatever you want but I need that money to contain whatever madness Gotham sent to MY place. I am in the brink of losing control and IF I lose control of MY asylum. This city will burn to the ground and this place will be their first target.

"A...are you threatening me?" The manager suddenly backed off.

But you persist, not giving him an inch of respite," No. This is a logical conclusion. Whether you want Arkham Asylum to be safe or not is up to you."

He is trembling and fear began to cloud his head. You're sure Mentor Crane is smiling inside.

'yeah he is. Look at that smug grin.'

"R-right away, Dr Arkham! P-p-please sign this papers and this o-one too,"

After that, everything went smoothly.

The way back was pleasant, especially when Nurse Samatha began humming a catchy tune.

The next day, the news spreads quickly with your head departments trying to catch your attention. All in all, everyone is in a great mood. Yep, even Dr. Sinner...

Alright time to break this down for easier readability and figuring out how to unfuck this shit.

S T A F F
>NEW DEMAND: 10 med security, 5 Max security. 4 Psychiatrists, 10 Orderlies, 6 Doctors.
Total = 35 new staff
>CURRENT: 10 med security, 10 max security, 5 Psychiatrists, 10 Orderlies, 4 Doctors. (+1 lawyer, 1 human resource.)
Total = 41 current staff
TOTAL STAFF AT END = 76

S T A F F R O O M S
>CURRENT: 60 Staff, 10 Medical

P A T I E N T S
>NEW ARRIVALS: 4 Low, 29 Medium, 4 High
>CURRENT: 6 Low, 1 Medium, 2 High
P A T I E N T R O O M S
>CURRENT: 10 Low, 30 Medium, 10 High

>And the mayor left a note: please make more room for another 50 prisoners!

We have 21 cash total right now, after upkeep.

My personal opinion on what to do is:
>Expand low level cells from 10 to 20 = -4 cash
>Expand med level cells from 30 to 40 = -4 cash
This leaves us with 20 extra room overall. Priority should be to get the 10 people in low level cleared out and done, leaving us with 30 empty. Next priority should be to work on medium level patients to get some room freed up. I think telling the mayor "fuck off we're full" should buy us some time to get people dealt with and able to get the room for the FIFTY he wants, because that sort of demand is absolutely BULLSHIT the way things stand.

Next up:
>Improve Staff facility to level 3 = -4 cash
We can't hire new people if we don't have the room for them, and if our staff housing facility is shit the way it is right now. That said...
>Recruit cheap staff = -2 cash
They might not be trained much if at all, but they need to git gud for their sake.

This leaves...
>Hire Head of Research = -6 cash
We need to improve our shit soon, and this will go towards that. I think Mileena Lilly is the one to go with here, because the quicker we give people therapy and help patients recover, the sooner we can kick them out of Arkham and make room for more people who desperately need help.

This leaves us with... 1 cash leftover.
Assuming that the -7.5 cash upkeep cost is monthly and not weekly, we should be okay by the start of next month due to the 11 cash gain from the city. If not, we might be fucked unless someone else has a better idea.

Patients we need to prioritize:
>Low Level
Easiest to help out, plus we know 6 of them from HomeSweet Medical.
>Medium Level
The bulk of the work we have cut out for us. This should absolutely be priority for us right now because we need room and we need it fast without losing money and fucking up.
>Deadshot
What the absolute FUCK is fucking DEADSHOT of all people doing here? I'm not familiar with DC too much, but isn't he some kind of assassin-for-hire? Does he have any issues we can deal with and help, or at least get him someplace else that isn't our Arkham?
>One of the other villains?
Again, don't know much about DC but maybe other voters/anons might have ideas here as to what the fuck to remedy with the villains.
>>
>>2803352
>>2803380
https://archived.moe/qst/thread/2730396/#2734743
I remember someone in /qst/ talked about possible things to do, like>>2718421and>>2718439. Having Mileena to research current academic research on psychology, as well as recent papers and stuff from outside Gotham City would be a big step forward in general.

I guess the two core problems right now are to calm the mid level patients and a mental recovery building. Low and max level patients are ones we can personally deal with and see off at the moment.

I was thinking using the five senses to help cure people would be one possible way, specifically through sounds, sights, smells. Soothing sounds could be researched, but one that's super obvious is the ocean - because we're on a fucking island and the ocean is everywhere.
In regards to sights and smells (which can also be researched), we could use the asylum gardens and grounds for aromatherapy and pleasing visual stimuli once we have the cash for it - and Poison Ivy can help a lot with this once we actually start to work on helping her.

To currently deal with mid level patients, we need some guidelines to figure out what each person needs or what their problems are. Cognitive therapy is a superweapon at our disposal, because most people in life have problems due to some idea they have in their heads, or a way of thinking that's wrong. Providing reasonable options and alternatives that people wouldn't consider due to their conditions, and biases, and circular reasoning preventing them from working stuff out would also be a big thing - again, an example of this would be turning Scarecrow into a horror movie producer or writer because he wants to see people's fear; i.e. the "cutting Lex Luthor a check" method.

Max level patients are for us and us alone to cure. From what I can tell, Clayface has body image and self issues, Anchoress has crippling loneliness and abandonment issues, Harley has an abusive relationship with Joker as well as potential white knight rescue fantasies, not sure what Ivy's deal is, and Scarecrow has childhood issues deeply rooted in fear and related concepts.

>>2734730
>Develop general diagnosis method for our therapists
>Research recreational building for mid patients
These are ideal right now I think.

Couple more ideas

>Ambulatory station:
Ideally people would just go to civilian psychiatrists, but the Gotham medical system is apparently to shit. so kick min sec people out 1-2 weeks early and let them come back during daytime for on site treatment.

>Group therapy
Do we know this already? We kinda should know this already. Treat a bunch of people all at once. Should increase efficiency.

>A motherfucking library
I don't know whether or not literary therapy is bullshit, but reading is better than staring at an empty wall (or plotting escape) and between the books lieing around already and donations it at least shouldn't be cheap.

> Docility drugs
Med sec people are too dangerous for low sec cells? Just drug them! What could possibly go wrong?
>>
https://archived.moe/qst/thread/2730396/#2734730
>>2734634

Just in case you guys dont wanna dicuss, here are the choices.

Alright, what if instead of trying long term substance treatment. We focus on short term high-intensity therapy. >Week 4

Today's air felt crisp and refreshing. The cool air from the ocean breeze though your open window and filled your room with wet, salty scent.

You hope this days goes on forever...

>+1 health (9/10)

Then a stern knock echoes through your room. Not hard like Old Joe or Cpt. Cash ,and not robotic like Dr. Sinner. Probably a guest.

Checking your attire to make sure you're proper, you shout to the door,"Come in, please."

And it was someone who you did not expect too... Bruce Wayne. The billionaire playboy and heir to Wayne family.

"Hope I didn't disturb you, doctor?" The man quickly enters the room and sit in front of you as if he owns the place. Typical rich pricks.

"No, not at all. Just enjoying the sea breeze," You hide your malicious envy," What can I do for you, Mr, Wayne?"

The man lets out a smirk," Please, my father was Mr. Wayne. Call me Bruce."

You are a bit taken back by this friendliness,"Er... Bruce. Can we help you with anything?"

"I heard that you secured the dreadful Victor Zsasz before he can whack that lovely Nurse Rose," He kept his smile while his eyes focuses on your reaction.

"News travel fast, I see. Thankfully no reporter hounding me today," You tried to match his smile but internally, you're panicking. How the hell does he knows about any of this?

"Yet," He added before continuing, fixing his posture," Now let's get back to business. I am impressed on how you've dealt with these concerning issues and I've heard that you're almost losing control?"

Isn't that from the bank? Can you trust him?

"Don't worry about it Mr. Way...err, Bruce. With the new funding, I am sure we can survive for a while," Hopefully...

"And I am here to make sure that you survive for years. Here is my card," He pulled out an expensive looking card with his name and number," First call is on the house. If you keep impressing me, I might be persuaded to be a patron."

A...patron?

The man suddenly stands and fix his suit," Now that the business is over, I have other thing to do. See you later, Dr. Sebastian." And he left, just like that.

Now you are sitting here with a card and a phone number, flabbergasted. Yeah... you have other thing to do too...

What do you want to do today? (2 action)

> Visit someone (who?)
> Visit a patient (?)
> Explore the island? ( Garden or the island itself)
> Rest
> Write in

Also who is this week's adviser?

> Mentor Crane (fear)
> Cold Beast (Vigilance)
> Jack (Madness)
> Father Arkham (Legacy)
>>
>>2803849
> Visit a patient (?)
Check high level patients overall, but specifically focus on Scarecrow and Anchoress (two patients)
> Mentor Crane (fear)
I really want to rehab Scarecrow through writing or movies. It fits his desire to see fear with his own eyes, plus he's reasonable enough compared to the other villains to MAYBE hear us out on this. Mentor Crane voice would also help us figure out his childhood trauma and help him with that to make him a better person.
Anchoress seems the easiest to help out compared to the other villains - crippling loneliness has plenty of remedies and ways IRL to keep it in check, but I don't know much about the character to know what her core issue really is.
>>
Regarding the 20, I feel you should surprise us. Part of what I like of this quest is the feeling of losing control and an unexpected boon is something better than a chosen one. Disregard this if Bruce Wayne was our reward.

If the choice was given, I would choose the cash. 17 millions are too good to pass up
>>
>>2803886

Bruce is the reward actually. Now you can ask him 1 favor as he puts it ' First call is on the house.'

Whether you want to use it or not is up to the player

But ill keep your words in mind
>>
>>2803886

You can even go to his house for a cup of coffee or something
>>
>>2803849
>Visit a Patient (?)
Visit Poison Ivy. I think we didn't gave her any attention since we got here.
Maybe try to understand her better (?) We don't know basically nothing about it
>Explore the island
We also don't really know much about Arkham itself, it would be nice to know about our place, see if anything looks wrong

>Mentor Legacy
Who better to know if something is wrong in the island?
>>

Keep voting and ill reply later
>>
>>2803864
supporting this
>>
>>2803864
Are you sure mentor crane would help us? Isn't he mostly used to drive people to fear induced insanity? Wouldn't it be better to use legacy for this?
>>
>>2803985
We don't have to do everything Mentor Crane says. We get the info he gives us, and use it accordingly to get them vulnerable, but instead of breaking them we use reason and logic to help them. At least that's what I think.

>>2803939
The island can wait. It's waited all these years, it can wait a month or two more. We'll investigate it with the help of our Legacy voice when the time comes.
I think Poison Ivy is worth helping out, yes, but I also feel that working on Scarecrow is thematically more fitting because his is the first voice we got and he's the reason we slipped into this whole quest to manage Arkham Asylum. I have no clue about Anchoress, I just picked her as a second patient to look into because it feels like her issue is easier to remedy/aid at first glance. But so what? She might be the hardest person to help for all I know.
>>
>Visit two patients: Scarecrow and Deadshot

I believe we should get Crane started in the literary therapy. Treat him as a professional and explain to him what we believe it's his issue and offer him and old typewriter to write it out, as well as some books on writing and for inspiration. At least it should make him less bored.

For Deathshot, tell him we are going to build a call center and that if he cooperates he will be able to see his family soon. We could ask him to watch his fellow inmates for suspicious signs. He is a professional after all.

Also, tell everybody we are going to start a library, so they should submit any topics they want books about. Hopefully Ivy will appreciate they are second hand books
>>
>>2804014
I believe that, since we started with Deathshot, we should try to continue with him. He should be easy to rein in and could help us prevent any escapes with his expertise.

Anchoress I believe is an inmortal demented woman which can pass through walls at will. She is the first super-powered "villain" to enter Arkham and she is aware of the danger she is to society and chooses to stay here because her own will. Perhaps it would be worth it to treat her before scarecrow, but we can make the literary therapy guy sort of in charge of Crane, so we can focus on other patients like her.
>>
>>2804062
Also, I choose Daddy as advisor. If I am not mistaken, he gives out bonus to psychotherapy

It seems today, you need to check the max security patients.

'I agree, dear boy. We must check their progress as much as possible. It is essential for us psychologists'

The Max security cells became more of a bother than this dangerous horror house for deranged people. Some patients will taunt you while other tried to get a rise out of you, hoping to see a crack or a mistake that they can exploit.

Guess you became desensitized after few visits...

'Yes, dear boy. You've adapted to their environment but there will be more horrors to see later'

The patients were at least normal and physically healthy, except for clayface. He kept complaining on how he kept melting in his cell. You probably need to get that special containment for him before he riot.

Then you enter Lawton's cell with some part of the glass wall filled with pictures of his victim's family photos. You can see him still the same, doing a push-up to kill some time.

'No...there is a crack in his sanity. I can feel it. You're getting closer on avenging the poor people he mercilessly killed. Make him suffer more'

Dad, what are you saying?

'Child, you must understand that killers are rabid animals that follows their instinct'

Before you can retort, Lawton noticed your presence," Well doc, stop admiring me like that. I am straight you know," he grins then wipe the sweat with his shirt," You know, torturing me will get nothing. I've been through worse."

You shake your head," Mr. Lawton, I am here to make you be a better man."

"I AM SANE, you prick. Get me out of here," He suddenly shout, opting the guards to appeared with their batons.

" I will be the judge of that. For now, I am happy to announce that we are building a call center and a library. Be sure to write any books you want to read."

Lawton just sighs, scratching his head," Doc, you're making me crazy here with this strange good cop/ bad cop solo act. What do you want anyway?"

"For you to get better," you smile and left the cell for the next patient.

Jonathan Crane.

"Professor Crane?" You called him as soon as you entered the room

The man rose up from his bed," Hm...It's been a long time since someone called me that. What is it that you want Dr. Arkham? Come to poke my brain again? Is it those cracks in my sanity that you wished to exploit?"

"Nothing like that, Professor. I assure you."

He is still cautious," Then why are you here? Maybe you want a lesson in fear?"

> How do you get his cooperation for this experimental treatment? (write in)
> Nah, Roll immidiately

' Now son, the patient is in extreme paranoia after your last action with him but remember he is also an intelligent criminal. Play his ego and lower his paranoia. This man wants a guinea pig for his obsession, not a friend'

What was the reward? The favor you mentioned, or the Cash >>2803886 was talking about?

The favor. You can ask for cash or building upgrades

>What would it take for us to get better superiors and politicians?

You can use the favor to get Bruce to introduce you to some great politician but after that, you're on your own.

And yes, you can store the favor for later use. Perhaps bailed you when shit hit the fan

> How do you get his cooperation for this experimental treatment? (write in)
You said it yourself: You want to see fear with your own eyes. What I propose is a way for you to start doing that in a healthy way, without endangering others. (Genuine smile) We are building a library, and we're in need of books. If we supply you with a typewriter, maybe you could write some horror stories or the like? The written word is a good first step to having a healthy outlet that doesn't drive people catatonic from fear, or worse. Who knows? Maybe later we can move on to movies!
(Bend closer to him, never breaking eye contact.) But now that you mention it, you DO have some cracks in your sanity. I was informed a while back by a certain someone (tap your head and give a knowing look) that they stem from a childhood trauma you have - and this is the reason you have become Scarecrow.
What I want is to HELP you overcome your own fears deep inside. Think of it as... peer review of a sort. (chuckle but back to being serious, giving him an understanding and sympathetic look) But I cannot help you or benefit you at all unless you tell me what happened. If speaking it is painful, you can write about it instead. Every little bit helps, Professor.

I would say we use it for that. Getting better politics is more significant for everyone overall, as seen when the Mayor effectively ups our difficulty by dumping a bunch of criminals on us with minimal aid and Cash.

I would vote to get Deathshot out of his therapy or at least explain him the reason for it. It is torture to point him the obvious, that the men he killed have families too?

The written word is a good first step to having a healthy outlet that doesn't drive people catatonic from fear, or worse. Who knows? Maybe later we can move on to movies!"

The professor became quiet then his face slowly became a scowl." You expect me to write a horror story? You think I want to write a goosebumps stories? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND? "

You quickly dodge his pillow," But now that you mention it, you DO have some cracks in your sanity. I was informed a while back by a certain someone that they stem from a childhood trauma you have - and this is the reason you have become Scarecrow. What I want is to HELP you overcome your own fears deep inside. Think of it as... peer review of a sort. But I cannot help you or benefit you at all unless you tell me what happened. If speaking it is painful, you can write about it instead. Every little bit helps, Professor."

His respond is rather violent," YOU SNOT NOSED KID THINK YOU KNOW ME? YOU KNOW MY TRAUMA? MY FEAR? JUST BECAUSE YOU SAW A CRACK WHEN WE FIRST MET? JUST BECAUSE YOU READ THEM IN SOME PAPERS DOESN'T MEAN YOU KNEW MY VERY BEING, YOU INGRATE." He even threw his mattress at you, in anger. Thankfully the guards were ready to guard you.

You let him shimmers for a bit," Are you interested?"

The poor patient just sighs in defeat," Fine, I'll try whatever this little project you have then plan to kill you later. Just...give me some reference of these pathetic 'horror' novels."

At least that's a progress. You quickly left his cell and decide to announce your plan," Folks, we are building a library and if you guys have any books you want to read, tell the guards. And don't worry, Ivy. They're second-hands."

"It is still the skins and innards of plants but I can compromise," The villainess shrugs.

"Well amma skin ya when I get outta here, doc," Harley added.

" Will you...visit me later, doctor?" The anchoress begs.

With that done, you passed Lawton's cell which he is still looking at his daughter's photo.

"Mr. Lawton, The reason I am doing this is that you must understand the consequences of your action and how they will hurt you and your family in the long run," You tried to explain and his response was a punch on the wall.

"I KNOW THAT, damnit! That's why I divorced my shitty ex wife!" He grits his teeth.

You nod in response," Then I can stop this next month. Good day, Mr. Lawton."

Today was a productive day... hopefully.

'Indeed, son. We can only hope and move forward."

I want to make a case for improving Conversation. We are a manager, most of the stuff we want we get it by talking to people about it, either inside (Scarecrow) or outside (bank manager) the asylum.

Getting another special power increase should be good too, but I just like to point out how many times we end up trying to convince someone to go along with us. The incident at the bank might have roused the major's anger, and we need a way to appease him or publicly defend ourselves.
>>
>>2806163
>>2805939
I will choose:

>Alice in a bloody dress

In a vain hope best girl Sinner will get an appearance.

Taking into account my last post, I choose

>Conversation
Since we are going to need need a silver tongue to convince the major to not go for our head.

Then, I believe we should focus on our abilities that are exclusive to us, since we already got decent Psychologists and trained policemen for Deduction, so Criminal Empathy might help us a long way, since it is our basic ability.
>>
I will now do a spending plan, to be further discussed next week. I believe we should focus on curing low level patients as fast as we can, so we can get muney and clear space, as well as trying to stop any riots from happening. Mid level patients will have to wait, but the real focus here is to stop a catastrophe from happening while being financially successful.

I would need a spending report as soon as we could, to make sure to leave enough money to survive for another month or so.

We have 33 money to spend

>Spend 10 in upgrading all our departments. An all around upgrade is always nice, and would make the good doctor happy to have a decent clinic now.

>10 money in Extreme Isolation

Guess where the Joker will end up after Batman catches it?

>Special containment for Clayface
3 money for another riot factor culled? Hit me hard daddy

>Library and visitation center
6 money and we just promised those. We can't go back on our word.

So that lefts us with 4 money, enough for a Trained Staff and none for facilities.

Optional plan: Drop Staff upgrade. While moral is abysmal, we need to make some space for new meat, that would give us some desperately needed funding. We could either make mid level expansion, which would help with the mayor requests and give us easy cash early (so we don't have to put two patients in the same room) or we could say fuck to him and accept patients from the city, that we can easily cure and get munies from.

Alternatively. Call in the favor early and do everything
>>
>>2805939
>> Improve trait [Criminal Empathy]
>> Improve Trait [The Art of Fear]
>> Improve trait [Mad World]
>> Improve trait [Hunter's Instinct]
Do each of these only work with the relevant advisor? Since Mad World is the fully realized version of Criminal Empathy, is it possible to eventually level it to that?

I'm thinking we use it for better politicians, would pay out better in the long run. I don't know how much political corruption there is, but the political side gets swept under the rug in the DC universe. If there is corruption, we’ll most likely have to replace the politicians as I doubt they’ll simply stop being corrupt, unless we become their psychiatrists and they come to us to something.
What's our Mayor like?
>>
>Tfw hat in madness is winning

Hope I can rhyme...but I guess you know who your villain's going to be eh? Place bets if ya want.

>>2806399

>Do each of these only work with the relevant advisor?
Yes except for Criminal empathy.

Since Mad World is the fully realized version of Criminal Empathy, is it possible to eventually level it to that?

Mad World is the steroid version of Criminal Empathy, not the fully realized. If you seen Hannibal TV Series, it is similar to Will's ability to empathize with criminal. In fact, your character will be similar to him if you choose the detective route.

The basic of Criminal Empathy is that you subconsciously catch the mental footprint of criminals but since it is still low level, you can only caught insane villain's footprints.

>What's our Mayor like?
He is a slimy corrupt politicians in the mafia's pockets. I think he even threatened his opponents to lose.

TL;DR: He is a massive dick.

Anyhow, how do you like Chapter 2? I'll extend the voting period and tally em after I woke up.
