You are Kojo Reyes, mutant crime lord/prince and soon-to-be Kingpin.

Today you've negotiated a deal with one of the most organized criminal syndicates in the world, convinced a living legend in New York City's criminal underworld to bow to you, went on a date with one of your lieutenants, delivered a speech that will never be forgotten in the minds of those that heard it, skipped a coke whore across the street, left a different coke whore on a rooftop, scared the shit out of a pimp's low-level thugs, made said pimp promise to pay you extra for his side business, and are now staring down a line of his thugs to sniff out a mutant before neutralizing him as well as moving on to Kingpin's lawyer to write yourself into the fatass' will so you inherit all of his legal assets when you murder him.

No one can ever tell you that you are not the most productive mutant being in the world and not the most diabolical son of a mongrel mutant bitch.

Enough about yourself though; it's time to act.

>[X] Sniff the air.

You close your eyes and take in the surrounding air through your nose.

The lingering scent of sex coming off almost every thug makes you fight down the urge to groan. Despite being bothersome, it helps you make out the contrasting scent of the mutant. He doesn't smell like he's actually had sex, done any drugs, or hanged around any of the girls Zebra Daddy would have inside. Either he's some sort of "gentleman" or a professional who doesn't mix business with pleasure.

Opening your eyes, you glance at the mutant.

He's not visibly armed but he might not need to be depending on his mutation.

A hum rumbles in your throat.

>[ ] "You, step forward and walk to me."
>[ ] "Zebra Daddy, you can send them away now: I've seen all I need to see."

>[X] "Zebra Daddy, you mind telling me that guy's name?"

It's always good to know the names of your potential enemies.

You turn to the pimp.

"Zebra Daddy, you mind telling me that guy's name?" you ask. Raising a finger, you point out the thug.

The man in the purple suit glances at the man, returns his gaze to you, blinks, and laughs. "That's my boy Felon, baby! Got no idea why you singling him out like that but I can promise you that the nigga ain't got a mutant gene in his body. Mothafucka always walks around with a strap and a belt. No mutant I ever seen packing any kind of heat."

"I wouldn't bet on that if I were you."

Looking back at "Felon" and away from a distraught Zebra Daddy, you glare into the mutant's brown eyes.

Felon gulps under your crushing gaze.

This is the person the coke whore you left on the rooftop was talking about. A guy who by all means shouldn't and wouldn't get caught up in Zebra Daddy's line of business. Some fucking retard going by the moniker of Felon.

You already want to kill him and you haven't even heard a word come out of his bitch ass mouth.

>[ ] "Felon, take a step forward and walk to me."
>[ ] "What kind of fucking street name is Felon?"
>[ ] "You mind telling me why a mutant is working for some second-rate pimp like purple suit over here?"
>[ ] "So, 'Felon', what's your mutation?"

Ask him his mutation, why he's here, what's with the name. I'll hold off on killing him if he gives us something good, though I'm leaning on killing him regardless.

>>2795003
I'd say yes considering I had an option to say that we saw alien spaceships shot down by the Avenger's in the previous thread.
>>2795028
>Most unexpected thing in the quest so far?
The actual quest, flipping Itsuki, turning Silvio, and the fact that this didn't immediately start with us being forcibly enrolled in Academy X. Most of my initial plans involved being dropped right into the academy. I didn't want to be a rail-roading jackass, so I figured we'd roll with the whole gang leader thing and see how far you guys would get before you managed to fuck up. Congratulations on making it this far.
>How's Spidey doing?
Relatively fine. He's early in his career and Kojo's the first "villain" with shades of gray the webhead's come across. Try to guess which Spidey I based New Mutant Spidey on.
>Why does wolverine suck so much?
we're hellion but worse yet amazing
In all seriousness, Death already told Kojo without ever giving him a name.
>>

I'm kinda hoping current Spidey is Homecoming, that's the best spiderman I know of outside the comics
It'll be great to really consolidate the criminal elements in York and beyond

>[X] "I've got a few questions for you. Be aware that I'll splatter your dumbass across the pavement if you answer wrong."

>(1/2)

May as well conduct an interrogation just to see what the idiot has to offer. A mutant's mutations can range from having extra limbs or organs to your insane power set. Depending on what his are, he might walk out of this alive as an enforcer of yours or a red smear. He'd be rowdy at first with the way you do things but you can always hold his family over his head if the rumors that whore heard were true. You can just use the fact that he provides for his family with his criminal activities to make him obedient. Whether or not it's him or his actual family you kill, they'd still be fucked.

"I've got a few questions for you. Be Aware that I'll splatter your dumbass across the pavement if you answer wrong."

"...Um, okay?" Felon says.

You nod your head and hum.

First things first.

"What's your mutation?"

The man's eyes widen. "How do you-"

"WHAT'S!" you shout without holding back your unnatural strength. Felon, the other thugs, and Zebra Daddy jump at the sound of it. A minute passes before you continue with your voice lowered to its normal volume. "Your. Mutation."

Felon parts his quivering lips and answers your question. "I-I can exit my body and take possession of another person!"

Everyone around you gives the young man a surprised look while you shoot him a disappointed look.

You don't know the precise mechanics of that ability but you can tell it has no practical use if he has to carry a gun around to protect himself. The fact that he actually told you his ability instead of using it means it's not much. He could try possessing you but you doubt he could so much as move a finger without shattering the bones in them. Worst he could do in possession of you is attract a lot of unwanted attention though. Might be good to kill him now before he has the chance.

There's still some questions on your mind, though.

"So, 'Felon', what are you doing here working for a second-rate pimp?"

Zebra Daddy clucking his tongue draws your gaze to meet his.

"Baby, at worst I am a first-class pimp! The ass I sell is hot and fresh; just ask all those Wall Street businessmen. Just flash them horns and they'll open up all about how good my hoes are. The just ripest, the most obedient, and the most memorable girls they've ever been with. Gimmme a holla sometime and I'll show you my best of the best to get your beak wet."
>>
>(2/2)

You roll your eyes at the purple-suited man and return your gaze to Felon.

He blinks for a moment before sighing.

"Didn't graduate high-school and I already had some rep in the street from when I was younger. With my ability, I'd figure it'd help out somehow." Felon glances at the men at his sides. "Chose this gig with Zebra Daddy 'cause I can at least stop the girls from having their only safe place taken away by some inconsiderate assholes who aren't fine with just getting paid."

You along with every man but Zebra Daddy scoff at Felon's words. The sheer idiocy of his thought process is insulting. If he wanted to do any kind of good, he could possess some billionaire schmuck and have them donate all their money to charity or some other goody goody shit. Hell, he could've possessed Zebra Daddy and used him to buy them all houses or something with the money he earned selling them. Just goes to show the short-sightedness of would be good-doers.

A sigh from Zebra Daddy turns your attention back to him.

"That's my boy Felon: stupid bleeding heart ass nigga." Zebra Daddy frowns. "Why didn't you tell me you were a mutant? We could've bank off that magic trick of yours."

Felon scoffs. "It would've all gone into your pocket."

"Well, of course it would: I am the boss."

Groaning, you look back to the young dumbass.

"What kind of bitch ass name is Felon? It fits you on account of how much of a bitch you are but as a street name it's one of the few things you'd ever want to have: there's nothing noticeable about it or memorable. No one's going to want to follow you or have you on their side."

"That's why I went by it. Didn't want to get mixed up in any gang shit. Being a pimp's bodyguard is low-key work that pays well enough. It's not as bad as the other jobs they have in the streets."

You want to point out how he's safeguarding the exploitation of teenage girls but you also don't want to have to hear his excuses for his actions. It doesn't matter much to you anyway. With all said and done, you're likely going to kill him now or sometime later after he's worn out his use.

Question is which one are you going for.

>[ ] "Felon, you're coming with me. I could use that ability of yours right now."
>[ ] Walk up to Felon and kill him, you've wasted enough time on him as is.
>[ ] "Zebra Daddy, ice Felon."

It's got some utility, if we keep him around he'll probably view us as some Noble monster type and be fairly loyal, and he's too dumb to use his power in a capacity that's dangerous to us. If we show him how he can do more with it he'll probably be grateful.

I support KOJO KNOWS YOU as a fully in-character plan for the future
>>
>[X] "Felon, you're coming with me. I could use that ability of yours right now."

As much as you want to kill him, you could use him if things go south with James Wesley. Felon could possess him and do whatever you need to get yourself into Kingpin's will. Might even get to make him take a hold of the big man himself to do whatever you want. You can dispose of him however you like afterward if he proves to be more trouble than he's worth.

You sigh.

"Felon, you're coming with me. I could use that ability of yours right now."

The young thug parts his lips to say something but Zebra Daddy cuts him off.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk! Boy you best do what the boss man says. All those stories you heard about him skinning people are real, no lie: I saw the mothafucka make examples of every boss in Mott Haven that went against him. He was a tyke back then but he was a straight hardcore G. Made those cartel bogeymen in Mexico look like a bunch of little pussies."

Felon blinks before turning to you.

"...Okay."

A grin spreads across your face.

You might end up actually enjoying this.

>[ ] "Go get geared up with the best Zebra Daddy has; you're probably going to need it."

I feel ashamed that this update is so short despite the amount of time I spent on it. For some reason, I obsess over all the little things: layout, speech patterns, and the bits of info I give about Kojo's past. Seems to be something a good writer should worry about but I feel like it takes too much of my time especially now with everything going on.
>>
>>2796054
Fuck that. Quality > Quantity every single fucking time.
>>
>>2796052
I'll second >>2796053

>>2796051
Agreed.

>>2796054
I definitely appreciate it. It's all the little things that make it feel more real. I like that Kojo seems like his own person that we direct instead of outright control. Plus the feel that the world is alive instead of frozen unless interacted with.

It would be neat to have a side story that's a day in the life of some random in NY. Seeing all the heroes and villians that plague the neighborhoods. Crossing paths with Kojo or one of his generals at some point of course.
>>
>>2796056
While this hearing this makes me happy, I can't help but feel like my level of quality is middling at best in spite of all the time it takes me.
>>
>>2796059
Oh yeah speaking of >>2796058
Are you having it so Anons are a collective in-universe guiding force using Kojo as a host? Or do Anons not exist in-universe in any way shape or form other than as in-character impulses or sheeit?
>>
>>2796058
>Plus the feel that the world is alive instead of frozen unless interacted with.
Huh, really? Like, the moment we entered Queens I had Spider-man drop in. When we ate at Harlem, Cage showed up. I feel like I made the world somewhat static.
>It would be neat to have a side story that's a day in the life of some random in NY. Seeing all the heroes and villians that plague the neighborhoods. Crossing paths with Kojo or one of his generals at some point of course.
I've had the idea of A New Mutant Human Side-Quest for a while. Mostly to focus on Kojo in his past and the major events that shaped him up to be Kojo Reyes but I feel like that could better be explored here in the main quest. Maybe Marcus or one of the other humans in the inner circle as a day in the limelight kind of thing but some random guy sounds interesting.
>>
>>2796073
In-character impulses are more fitting considering Kojo's a psychopath. That strange random fluctuation in controlled behavior is a thing actual psychopaths go through. Like that one guy who turned himself in because the cops were taking too long to catch him. You can watch Mindhunter to get a better sense of what I'm talking about. It's a pretty amazing show.
>>
>>2796081
Yes but that's where they live and operate, of course they'd show up. As for the Luke cage bit, I liked that it was essentially a random chance he was there, and then someone tried to shoot him. It felt like that would have happened even if Kojo didn't run into Luke at all.

Having your new unwilling rookie get killed by a stray bullet would steal the potential fun from you not to mention make the time you spent here a waste. You are going up against the Kingpin after all. It's not like the gear he'll be using will be any of your military tier equipment but that may just prove his worth to you if his astral projection is jack shit. Every man who can hold a gun counts despite their level of experience.

You put on a smile, walk up to the mutant, and give him a pat on the shoulder much to his surprise.

"Go get geared up with the best Zebra Daddy has; you're probably going to need it."

Felon nods and darts into the building away from your hands.

Laughing, you turn back to see Zebra Daddy giving you a look.

He parts his lips to say something but shuts them when you glare into his eyes.

A pleased hum rumbles in your throat before you glance at the men around you and walk back towards Zebra Daddy.

"Let's go to the front of the building, there's something important I need to talk with you about."

"Okay, okay." Zebra Daddy says.

You ignore the tone in his voice and begin to lead him to the boarded up front door. The faint sound of an abandoned teenage coke whore crying as you circle the building goes ignored by Zebra Daddy but draws a grin from you. Zebra Daddy's likely too used to it from his time in the business. Virgins don't tend to take first-time rough sex well and that's typically what you've seen pimps do to break them in.

Stopping at the boarded door, you turn back to face the pimp.

"Zebra Daddy, tell me everything you know about James Wesley."

"Kingpin's lawyer? He's my best customer. Buys my girls for weeks and months at a time. Really gives them the experience they need to survive in this business. The prices he pays for roughing up the merchandise a bit are top dollar. Mothafucka once had a girl of mine blindfolded and kept in his private fuck dungeon for a month. She couldn't see for shit and was pale as a ghost for a while afterward but her alabaster ass was popular for how long she had it."

You sigh.

"...I meant, where does he live?"

"Oh, well, that information is-"
>>
>(2/2)

A growl from you cuts him off.

"I'm not in the fucking mood!" You take a step towards Zebra Daddy that makes him take a step back. "I caught you running a side business you weren't paying me protection for, remember? You owe me more than just a larger cut. Don't make me have to tear the information out of you but by all means play the professional." A grin spreads across your face. "There's so many ideas I have in mind."

Zebra Daddy holds his hands up

"He lives in the Upper East Side of Manhattan on East 62nd street just by Central Park. The crib he lives in is six stories tall and has a fancy ass door compared to the two next to it from what my bitches told me. Rosa, fine ass Latina mamita, is with him right now so I'd appreciate it if you didn't merc the old ass cracker by demolishing the building if that's what your planning."

You take a step back and hum.

"Not an exact location but it's something at least."

Zebra Daddy lets out a nervous laugh.

"You going after the big man, ain't you playa? That's what this is all about. I hope you know what you're doing. It ain't gonna be like smoking some small time fuck boys, you feel me? Big mothafucka is a whale and you Ahab."

You scoff.

The coke head has no idea just how much you've grown in power over the span of almost two days.

"By the end of today, Kingpin's going to be nothing but a goddamn memory."

Zebra Daddy blinks at you and shrugs.

"If I had them super mutant muscles and a set of Lucifer's horns on my head, I'd definitely be saying that too so I can't blame you much for that." A smile spreads across his face. "When or if it happens, holla at me. Lot of pimps in Manhattan are going to be independent and ripe for the booty plundering. With my experience in diplomatic negotiations with other pimping brothers I can get them following you without any of them trying to act hard." His smile widens. "Hell, put me in charge of them. I can be your pimp manager of whatever criminal enterprise you make after Kingpin's dead."

You stare at the man, pondering over his words.

It might be a good idea to switch the status of all your pimps from protectorates to crew members. The current way you do things isn't exactly fit enough to hold on to all of New York. Making the pimps official members and putting them all under someone would be a good start to tightening your grip on the city. With all the territory you're going to gain, you're going to need to divide certain things to the right people; there's only so much you can do on your own.

>[X] "I'll talk to the pimps around here when I'm done, you get into contact with them beforehand. Find out who's willing to bow and who I need to break."

You don't think Zebra Daddy's a good fit for the role but he could be useful gauging the willingness of the other pimps.

"I'll talk to the pimps around here when I'm done, you get into contact with them beforehand. Find out who's willing to bend and who I need to break."

Zeba Daddy nods his head.

"You got it, boss. I'll make sure all the other niggas around here know what's up."

A grin makes its way onto your face.

"Good, now let's get back and see if your boy is ready for this."

Zebra Daddy laughs.

"Nothing could've made him ready for today; I pity that fool."

You walk past Zebra Daddy and lead him to the metal door where his jumpy men are still waiting.

It takes only a few seconds for Felon to come out holding an AK-47 in his hands. The straps he has over his shoulders tell you that he brought a pack likely filled with mags and quite possibly grenades. A slight pronunciation of his chest signals the tell-tale sign of a kevlar vest. He's going to need all of that gear if Kingpin is anywhere with armed guards.

Your grin widens.

"Welcome to the big leagues, Felon."

The mutant thug looks down at himself and sighs.

A laugh escapes your lips.

Once someone gets onto your playing field, there is no out for them. Everyone who knows the slightest bit about the game understands that. You, Marcus, Jesus, Alex, and Ren are in this until the end of your days. It's not like any of you had much of a choice but it's not like you had any hope for the future either.

Whatever minuscule chance Felon had of getting out is gone now thanks to you.

Hopefully we can use Felon to make the lawyer into a suicide bomber to help with the eventual assault on Kingpin

This way we keep ourselves covert and get some more insight into how Felon's power works.
>>
>>2798419
Remember you still have a persuasion roll pass from that time we convinced Silvio. You can only use it once and can't save it for another time though. I think that's a good way to balance that.
>>
>>2798419
Basically, if he can die while possessing someone we'll get the lawyer into a bomb vest and we'll wheel him into the kingpin's lair (at least past a door or two) and if he can't die while in a body then we'll stick a timer on the vest
>>
>>2798451
So we can pass the next persuasion roll?
>>
>>2798461
Yes, or you can decide to have Felon take posession of Wesley and do whatever you need him to do. It won't use up the free pass on the persuasion roll so you can use it later if you want.
>>
>>2798465
Better idea: suicide bomber, then convince Kingpin's guards to join us
>>
>>2798470
Sure, if there are any and they're alive after whatever suicide bombing there is.
>>
>>2798476
Basically, we find the lawyer, possess him, stuff as much russian plastic explosive on him as we can, get him inside the building, blow him up, then we launch the assault while Felon periodically possesses first responders to join in the attack after looting the cruiser for the long guns
>>
>>2798492
Also, Important thing we need to hide our guys faces and say that we're either an Anti terror unit or undercover cops. How many guys do we have
>>
>>2798502
Actually, it'd be a better idea to use our Auto-Pass to convince the cops we're a group of undercover officers because it doesn't matter if Kingpin's guys join us, but we need to not murder a bunch of cops
>>
>>2798502
150-160, they're all in their teens so I don't think that plan will work.

Actually, I could see the first working in some way if you make it convincing enough. Marcus is drilling the boys the way Dan did Kojo and Marcus. Probably going to have to be a select few, possibly just the lieutenants.

This is all just hypothetical, of course if the suicide bombing thing is really carried out or can be.

>[X] "You got a ride?"
>[X] "That AK all you brought?"
>[X] "Explain your power, I've got a few ideas in mind."

Going over everything before you take off is always the wisest precaution.

"You got a ride?"

Felon shakes his head.

"I've got a license but that's it."

A hum rumbles in your throat.

You could borrow another car from the dealership and risk pissing them off again or ask Zebra Daddy for one.

"That AK all you brought?"

"Nah, I have a Beretta strapped underneath my jacket on top of a vest. Got a few mags in my pack and a few grenades just in case."

Zebra Daddy clucks his tongue but you ignore him.

It's always good for someone to bring a backup weapon just in case but you doubt he'd be able to do much against well armored men.

"Explain your power, I've got a few ideas in mind."

Felon glances at the men around you and sighs.

"When I exit my body, I go limp so it's not that useful in a fire fight. While I'm in someone else's body, I have full access to their memories, thoughts, and their consciousness. Trouble is that when I go back into my own body I have trouble remembering who I am for a while. Every time I do it, the time it takes for things to come back to me grows."

You study Felon for a minute but lay off when it's evident that he's telling you the truth.

It'd be useful for learning the locations Kingpin frequents and how you can write yourself into his will but it has no practical use in combat whatsoever. Either way, he'll end up an amnesiac for a time making you have to babysit him while he gets his bearings. You could just leave him afterward if you feel like it though. Would save time but possibly lose an asset you could use later. Full access to someone's memories can bypass the need for interrogation and coercion whenever you need it.

Pretty much. Think of New York City in its current state as Gotham during the long Halloween. Most of the city's underworld is controlled by old Mafia bosses with the supervillains just being out of place freak shows who make things difficult for everyone. Kojo's crowning will change things in New York City forever no matter what you do to make it happen.

>[X] "How long is it going to be next time you use your power?"

He might not know the premise time limit it takes for him to regain his memories considering he didn't tell you but it couldn't hurt to pry for an estimate.

"How long is it going to be the next time you use your power?"

Felon looks down for a few seconds and looks back up to you.

"Around twenty minutes, I think."

You hum.

It's not that crippling if he can recover in that amount of time and do it again. The time it takes for him to regain his bearings will increase with every use but you doubt you'd use him that often. At the very least, he'll be able to take possession of James Wesley and carry out whatever task you assign him if need be.

All that remains for you to go over is an alternate mode of transportation.

You turn to the purple-suited pimp.

"Zebra, you got a ride that ain't a zebra print piece of shit?"

Once again, Zebra Daddy clucks his tongue.

"It's either a zebra print ride or nothing. Zebra Daddy ain't gonna drive around being Zebra Daddy if his mothafuckin' ride don't have his colors."

You sigh.

At least it won't be you people see driving around in a zebra print car but you'll still have to live with the fact you were once inside one.

>[X] Say hi and bye to the whore you left on Zebra Daddy's rooftop on the way out.

All you really need Felon to do is take possession of James Wesley if all else fails. That assault rifle he's carrying around will only complicate things with passerbys. You don't want him to spook anyone into calling the cops. Word is likely to reach Kingpin if there was an incident that close in the residence of his personal lawyer.

You turn to your new recruit.

"Felon, leave the AK: it'll attract too much attention."

The mutant gives you a look, shrugs, and hands his weapon off to one of Zebra Daddy's other boys.

With all said and done, you grab Felon by one of his shoulders before hopping up to the roof of Zebra Daddy's building.

You see the teenage coke whore you left on the rooftop sobbing with her face buried in her knees as soon as you land.

A grin spreads across your face.

"Hi!" you call out to her.

The coke whore raises her head from her knees and blinks at you

"...Y-you came back for me?" She looks to the disoriented man at your side. "Felon?"

Felon lets out a groan before widening his eyes.

"Lexy?"

Your grin grows as you tighten your grip on Felon.

"Bye!"

Leaping backwards, you wave at the coke whore with your free hand before expertly flipping yourself as well as Felon in onto a nearby rooftop. You take off towards Harlem as soon as your feet touch the roof cement to avoid the inevitable array of questions your rookie will ask you.

It takes you only a few minutes to reach Madison Avenue Bridge.

There's no truck crossing it and traffic is heavy but there is a nearby building you can sit down and wait for one to come by. Felon will no doubt get all uppity about the coke whore you left back on Zebra Daddy's rooftop, though. It'd be easy for you to leap across the Harlem river but the amount of strength you need to clear that distance will likely cave in whatever roof you land on if you aren't careful.

Nah.
Maybe a little protagonist-centric, like most comic books, not not bad. Things like Cage, Spidey, and Logan seem like they happened because those characters were doing stuff of their own, rather than waiting around for Kojo so they could be relevant. Okay, Logan was literally waiting, but still.

I'm going to have things happen in the background while Kojo goes about his own thing in the future. Been barely a day and over a half in-universe but it feels like a lot has already happened, huh?

I'm really pleased to hear that. Probably still going to beat myself up for not being perfect and thinking that I'm not anywhere near Crusty's level, though.
>Kojo is the most unique and personalized MC I've played in my time on /qst/.
Honestly feel like I did a good job on his characterization but kind of fucked up on the side details. I don't know whether or not my choice to have his childhood essentially be a modified version of the assassin background during character creation was a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand, it adds some depth by showing how much he's changed for the better and for the worse but on the other I could have had him once be someone more relatable. Make him feel more human and provide a believable reason for him to change his ways if you guys ever wanted to.

>>
>>2803241
Pretty straightforward. Have an app that collects user data but is mainly focused on giving people rewards for hero sightings.
>>
>>2803241
Originally it was a way to play Kojo once he gets in power. He learns as much as he can about people in his turf. He knows your nickname, how your kids are doing in school, your wife's preferred route home. Kojo KNOWS you. . Basically it helps ingratiate himself to the people he rules as he appears friendly, but there is power in knowledge and Kojo is familiar with how strong the right words can be.

Then another anon had a brilliant idea where we make an app that you report hero sightings with. The more you report the note you get gifts and swag, maybe a shop to buy hero themed gear. It gives us income, looks good to the public, and let's us track heroes. Brilliant all around.

Both of these were in previous threads as well.
>>
>>2803346
Thanks for calling it brilliant, but we could also open it to being villains too with bonus points for being able to get the first pics of new metahuman and an example of their power
>>
>>2803346
Not to mention it as a money laundering scheme and a way to get tonnes of cheap shit from China (which means we can smuggle other stuff with it)
>>
>>2803354
While I like the idea, it would take some finagling to not run into potential trouble. Actively encouraging endangering civilians could be an issue.
>>
>>2803369
It's not so much "endangering civilians", it's a bit like Pokemon Go which was only dangerous if someone stupid walked into traffic. Not all hero sightings are going to be dangerous with the lion's share of sightings being the hero on patrol, Spider-man is known for just going out and taking pictures with people
>>
>>2803400
Oh no I'm completely on board for hero sightings. I meant encouraging villain sightings.
>>
>>2803406
Oh, maybe we don't have villain sightings as an encouraged feature with worse rewards for them, also we should have a system that refuses to acknowledge Kojo as a metahuman or if we still have to feature him as to not draw attention, have him pretty much inaccessible on the site
>>

>[X] Cross the bridge by using the support.

Unlike Robert F. Kennedy bridge, Madison Avenue has a wide enough support to land on without the chance of you eating shit. It also doesn't go through Randall's Island and extend to Northwestern Queens but that doesn't really matter right now.

You jump to the roof of the nearby building and leap from there to the center bridge support of linked girders.

The moment your feet touch steel, you bend your knees and jump across the rest of the bridge onto another rooftop.

A grin spreads across your face as you look to the sea of tall buildings in the west.

James Wesley is the next stepping stone before Kingpin. You don't know who'll come after but they'll likely meet the same fate. All who oppose you will bend or break, no exceptions. Wesley has the privilege of being considered for either but Kingpin needs to die for your sake: there can only be one king of New York.

You take off again towards the East Side of Manhattan with Felon dangling by your hand.

It takes you a few minutes to see Central Park come into view and a few more to pass by the Ancient Playground marking the midpoint of the park. Midtown stops at the 57th street and the Upper East Side begins at the 60th street. Near the left end and by Central Park, you'll find Wesley's street as well as his home.

Ten minutes pass until you see the Arsenal, a historical landmark connected to 64th street just a street away from the 62nd.

You're grateful that the old emotionless shell you were had a penchant for studying maps and stealing school books: you'd be completely lost right now if that weren't the case.

One last leap takes you across the 63rd onto a tall house roof on the 62nd.

The man you're looking for is in a house on this block or directly underneath you.

Speaking of men, the one your holding by the shoulder isn't looking too good.

>[X] Hop down and find that address.
>[X] "Felon, go astral and find this old perverted man in that building but don't possess him yet. There's some people I want to reach out to before you do."

>(1/2)

You don't see what use Felon would be to you all nauseous and you don't want to babysit his comatose vomit drowning ass while he does all the hunting.

Dropping Felon to the ground, you hop to the edge of the rooftop and take another hop down to the street below.

The bones in your feet crack upon impact with the side-walk but all it draws from you is an annoyed groan.

Raising your head to check your surroundings, you see only a few passerbys staring at you. You ignore them and take a look around the neighborhood while the cracks in your feet heal.

Storied buildings tower over you and the people below them. There are no children playing in the streets or that many adults passing through. Most people who can afford to live in this kind of neighborhood either send their children to boarding schools or are like James Wesley and enjoy the comfort of flesh without the worry of one of its consequences. You suppose STDs are a concern for most people but those who purchase the services of prostitutes are usually the ones carrying. Diseased whores lead to angry customers, angry customers lead to bad rep, and bad rep leads to a massive drop in business. Pimps are usually not stupid enough to keep or employ girls that have the clap, especially AIDS.

A minute passes before you hop on one foot and switch to the other. You give each a final tap against the ground and start walking around the neighborhood.

Most of the building doors you pass are plain. It isn't until you look to the opposite side of the street do you see a rather ornate door with a intricate glass pattern acting as the peephole. Closing your eyes, you take in the air through your nose to sniff out the smell of an adolescent coke whore. Sure enough you pick up the tell-tale scent of cocaine faintly whiffing through the air along with the not so faint smell of sex.
>>
>(2/2)

You open your eyes, grin, turn back to the direction of the building you left Felon on, and leap back to the vantage point.

Felon is laying by a pool of his own vomit when you land on the rooftop. He lifts his head up from the roof when he sees you.

A laugh escapes your lips at the sorry sight.

"Felon, go astral and find this old perverted man in that building," You point to the direction of James Wesley's house, "but don't possess him yet. There's some people I want to reach out to before you do."

The mutant pushes himself off the roof to look where your pointing and gives you a nod before falling limp. As he does, you notice a strange blue blur emerge from his body to float while it lands on the cement.

You blink at the sight.

It looks and somehow feels vaguely like Felon to you but you can't make out it's face or much of its body.

>[X] "Should people be able to see your blue ass?"
>[X] Check out the Bratva in Brooklyn.

Felon didn't say anything about how he was supposed to look like or if he could even be seen in astral form. Maybe he can't talk without his face but asking him something is better than touching him. You could've found your beautiful, powerful body possessed by some self-righteous thug who would have had no idea how to so much as stand without breaking something.

"Should people be able to see your blue ass?"

The ghost of Felon turns its faceless head from the house of James Wesley to you.

"Y-- -a- s-- -e?" It says with an echoing voice cutting in and out.

You blink again.

"I have no idea what the hell that was supposed to mean. Find Wesley and wait for me here. We'll talk about this some other time."

Ghost Felon nods at you and wisps off to the six storied townhouse.

With a shrug, you take off to the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal.

It takes you a minute to go from the Upper East Side of Manhattan to partway through Murray Hill.

A familiar building comes into view from the corner of your eye as you land on another rooftop.

You turn your head and see Fisk Tower looming in the distance.

Marcus had a point when he presented you his plan. Fisk could be there right now as could someone knowing his location. You can go in there and possibly kill him now before having Felon alter Kingpin's will through Wesley. Having the crew around to help may sound fun but you could easily do this yourself without involving them. Same goes for Bratva toys. It could be somewhat of a waste of time and a vital error if you're detected, however. Risk can be mitigated if you just keep your skulking to Kingpin's top floor where he'll likely have a shit ton of security instead of starting at the bottom, which would also have a shit ton of security on the way to the top.

We got this far by staying anonymous and staying low. We're not changing that now, not when we're so close!
The Bratva have an incentive to help us since this fighting and takeover will mean new business. Kojo knows they might also be willing to play both sides in this fight, but hey - we fucking paid them good money for that gear, and they already know we can fuck up any of their hit-squads alone. If they betray their neutrality we can go after their ass, and they know this as well as Kojo does.
All in all, Bratva are reliable enough to contact for now. Might as well make the most of the time we gave Felon. He should be safe on that rooftop anyhow. Humans never think to look up, but one day they WILL be looking up - and we'll be staring back down at them.

>[X] Continue on your path to the Bratva, you want to make Kingpin's death an event that will be remembered after you dispose of him.

You've gotten this far by laying low and making decisive moves against your opponents. Infiltrating Fisk Tower on an assumption that he might be there isn't worth the risk it poses to revealing yourself to Kingpin. The Bratva, Yakuza, and Maggia have all been handled quietly; all the work you put into keeping your moves silent will go to waste if you fuck it all up here.

Turning your head back in the direction of Brooklyn, you continue on your way to the Bratva's base of operations.

It takes you two minutes to reach Manhattan Bridge.

Landing on the roof an apartment complex, you jump to the top of a towering office building to the side of the bridge opposite to the softball park by the streets below.

You hop to the edge of the rooftop and hop again down to the first support of the suspension bridge. Not bothering to land, you bend your knees and exert yourself against the steel support the moment it comes into range of your legs.

A grin spreads across your face as you flip to the second support.

Sometimes you forget how good it feels to soar through the air. It's understandable considering all the ferrying you've performed as of late: having to lower yourself down to another person's level is degrading to you. The skies should be a right you alone have to yourself. Others can hover, glide, propel, or web-sling all they want; they'll never be on the same level as you. Like everyone else, they'll be ants looking to the sky without ever realizing what really dwells in it or beyond it.

Only you know and only you understand.

You spring from the second support to a building in Brooklyn before shooting off towards Greenwood.

It takes you only a minute for the sea of buildings to end and the wide parking lot of the Bratva marine terminal to begin.

A hum rumbles in your throat as you land on the last rooftop.

You got here faster than you usually would without shattering anything.

With a shrug, you dismiss your thoughts and hop down to the streets.

A short run takes you to the entrance of the office building where you see the familiar face of the helpful guard standing alone with no sight of his partner.

You can't help but grin at the thought of what must have happened to him.

The helpful guard raises an eyebrow at you but doesn't say a word.

>[X] "I didn't get your name last time."
>[X] "Can you call the brigadier here for me? I don't feel like making the long walk to his office again."

The fact that you can recall this person in a positive light means their name's worth remembering, even if he's a lowly guardsmen.

"I didn't get your name last time."

"Artyom." the guard answers without skipping a beat.

A hum rumbles in your throat as you give the guard a once-over.

"Artemis...Doesn't exactly fit you, does it?"

Artyom nods his head.

"Дa, but a man cannot change the names his parents give him."

You laugh.

"I only had one name after I was born; my mother likely gave it to me. Don't know if she meant to leave me her last one or if she died before she could give it to me. Chances of the former are unlikely, though, considering her relationship with her family at the time."

"So who gave you your last name?"

Your expression sours but the guard remains indifferent.

"It wasn't given to me so much as I took it."

Artyom hums but doesn't say any more.

You sigh.

"Can you call the brigadier here for me? I don't feel like making the long walk to his office again."

The guardsmen pulls a hand-held radio out of his belt and speaks a few words of Russian in it you don't recognize. You hear the familiar voice of the Brigadier speak back. Artyom holsters his radio, steps to the side of the entrance, and glances towards you.

"He'll be here shortly."

You nod and wait for the Brigadier to arrive.

A minute passes by before you start tapping your foot against the ground. Two more minutes later, your foot tapping increases to the point you can actually hear it. Four minutes pass until the door opens to reveal the brigadier and your tapping stops.

He looks to your feet and groans.

You glance down to see a network of cracks spread across the asphalt originating from your left foot.

The sound of the Brigadier sighing draws your gaze back to him.

"Maгнaт, how may I help you not destroy the ground on which we tread on?"

A thoughtful hum rumbles in your throat.

Closest thing to waifuing was the date with Ren which I used to expand on Kojo rather than have him bone her. Besides, Kojo doesn't know what love is and doesn't want anyone to show him. Not like he can feel it much less express it like normal people do.

As much as you want to get into the meat of things, you also want to know how Marcus did and if any of your boys did what he told them to do.

"Did my boys come back here with your trucks yet?"

"Why yes, they did." the Brigadier says. "Have they not made their way back to you?"

You shrug, making the Russian man raise an eyebrow at you.

"Is there anything else I can help you with?" he asks.

You nod.

"How did the man I sent to collect the weapons and give you your payment perform?"

"Your second-in-command arrived via taxi reasonably armed with a few men, handed over the the exact payment from one of the many duffel bags his men were carrying after counting all the equipment we had stored in the trucks, and drove off with them. We expected you to come in person but I suppose I cannot fault you for being cautious. I do wonder why you had him bring so much more money than was needed. Perhaps, to pay for the equipment if we didn't count the discount towards your stand in and raised the price because of a perceived disrespect?"

A smile makes its way onto your face.

"If I was being cautious, I would've came here in-person. Truth is I was dealing with Silvio Manfredi at the time so I sent Marcus. After the stunt the brigadier before you pulled and the discount I negotiated off you, I knew you wouldn't do anything. Besides, Marcus would've gunned you down and five other men in the span of two seconds if you did. As for the money, don't worry about it."

The brigadier hums.

"So how did you deal with Silvio Manfredi?"

Your smile turns into a grin.

"He bent the knee when I talked some sense into him."

The Russian man widens his eyes at you.

A laugh escapes your lips.

"I'm moving on Kingpin now and I need something specific I can't find on the market to help with the assassination."

The Brigadier blinks before regaining his composure.

"What is it that you need then?"

You hum thoughtfully once again.

Have felon jack somebody and bomb wherever kingpin is, sniper picks him off if he makes it out, we should be in his will to move in and take over. What a tragic act of terror to befall one if NYs captains of industry, but we'll pick up where he left off and work towards a brighter future.

>>

In the short term yes. We consolidate our power base, add in any 2bit supervillain that's in it for the money (like shocker and them) into a UFC type outfit could work and also put a lot of people on our payroll. We can get tinkerer and the like in our r&d department all under the guise of rehabilitation. This paints us as the good guy and keeps supervillain activity to a minimum. Just really put is in a position where it's worse if we're home and the communities won't stand for it.

Start the Kojo knows you initiative to keep tabs on heroes. We could potentially reach out to Spidey to have him stamp out competition or activity that we don't condone that's worse for communities. Like you can't get rid of drugs but my guys don't peddle to kids like the other guys. Before he knows it he's an enforcer.

You could use pretty much everything you have in mind.

"Help, it's been years since I've had to shoot anything and I'm sure you have a trained sniper either here or spying on us through the cross hairs of their scope."

The Bratva brigadier frowns.

"I'm afraid providing you direct assistance with your endeavors against Kingpin violates the policy of neutrality I have been instructed to uphold. At most, I can have the guard by the door or one of the snipers with their cross-hairs trained on your chest instruct you on how to properly use whatever sniper rifle you have in mind and sell you the weapon."

You blink at the man and turn to the guardsman.

"If you've been trained as a sniper, what are you doing guarding the damn door?"

"Sniping is just one of my skills, admittedly not my best despite my namesake." Artyom says.

"Ah," the brigadier says, regaining your attention, "you've gotten to know Artyom I see. He's best suited for legwork but I'm sure he'll be able to teach you the basics."

You hum.

"Good to know."

"Is there anything else you need?" the brigadier asks.

You raise a hand to your chin and tilt your head.

"You wouldn't happen to by chance own a fully fitted suicide bomber vest, would you?"

The brigadier blinks at you.

"...No, such a thing would be too hazardous and easily lost in a complex as large as this one. We wouldn't make or sell such a thing if we had the means to. The use and production of such things would bring more attention from internationally operating agencies to us. Is there anything else...reasonable you need?"

You sigh.

"Do you have something plastic, explosive, and that can be triggered by a detonator?"

The brigadier lets out a sigh of his own.

"We have C-4 if that is what you are asking for. It's use is more inconspicuous compared to that of a suicide vest especially in recent times."

A grin spreads across your face.

It may be an extremely loud way to kill the fatass but it'll send a message along with being a really fun thing for you to do.

It'd let him learn how to use a sniper rifle properly but wouldn't increase his aiming effectiveness. He'd probably take the recoil from the first shot badly due to his reliance on hand-guns over rifles.

It couldn't hurt to have either. Even if you don't end up using them now, you can always use them later. You never know when you'll have to have a building blown up, or some schmuck's brains blown out.

"I'll take a brick of C-4 and a loaded OSV just in case."

The brigadier raises an eyebrow at you.

"I assume you don't have any funds on your person to purchase those items, do you? Those holes in that shirt of yours don't inspire any confidence."

You frown.

"If you need money, I can get it for you but at this point you're wasting time that could be spent taking out the man that wants to run you out of town. You don't stand much to lose by parting with one brick and one rifle. I know nothing is free but you stand more to lose if you don't give me what I want right now. We can negotiate prices, business proceedings, and set boundaries after Kingpin's dead."

The brigadier sighs.

"One moment, please." He takes a radio of his own out of his belt and starts speaking Russian into it. A few seconds later, he holsters it. "Two men are coming to us now; one will hand you a briefcase with a brick of C-4 along with a corresponding detonator. The other will bring a suitcase with an OSV-96 ready for quick assembly and a loaded five round 12.7×108mm magazine. Consider them free of charge, as a show of good faith. Do make sure Kingpin is dead by the end of the day, however."

A grin spreads across your face.

"He'll be more than just dead by the end of today."

The brigadier scrutinizes you for a moment before going back into the terminal building.
>>
>(2/2)

Artyom moves back in front of the entrance as the door closes.

You stare at him while you wait until an idea pops into your mind.

"Say, Artyom, you think you can train someone who's mostly used hand-guns how to handle a high-powered rifle? I've got a guy in my crew who's an eagle-eye shot but all I've ever seen him use is a M1911. The shots he can probably make with a sniper rifle would set records if he knew how to use one properly."

"If your man is as good as you say he is and follows things to a fault, I can teach him how to handle a rifle in a manner of minutes. It would be faster than having him learn on his own but not necessary from the way you described him. He likely already knows proper breathing technique."

A hum rumbles in your throat.

It would take about five to ten minutes to get to the warehouse from here and the same amount of time to get back. Then you'd have to wait for Artyom to show Jesus how to handle the OSV before taking him to Felon, who's probably going to take some time altering Kingpin's will. Jesus could probably get the OSV down with a few practice shots but he'd use up almost all five rounds the Bratva gave you. None of this is factoring in the time it would take if you decided to take the whole inner circle out for their first team assault or anyone else.

The sound of approaching footsteps takes you out of your thoughts.

From the corner of your eye, you spy two men carrying briefcases walking towards you.

You turn to face them and hold out your hands.

They place the briefcase handles in your care before walking off without so much as a whisper.

>>
>>2808535
You are kind of straining your relationship with him but your actions are perfectly understandable and he is in no position to refuse or provoke you. It'd be good to smooth things over with him after everything's done. Pay for the stuff he gave you, buy even more gear from him, and maybe even rent out Artyom or some other Bratva men to help train recruits. You might have to talk with someone higher than the Brigadier after Kingpin's dead, though. A united New York underworld is something that'll have a reaction from anyone still around or involved.
>>
>>2808554
That's completely fine and I'd love to have some of their guys train ours. Everyone is going to be under us so cross pollination can only help. They're not a bunch of different crime families anymore, we're one large one. NY is going to get a better class of criminal.

Definitely put in a good word for the brigadier and Artyom though.

>[X] Get Artyom to train Jesus with the OSV, for real this time.

Despite Dan's old marksmanship training still in your head, you doubt you'll be as good or be able to make a perfect sniping shot like Jesus would even if Artyom showed you how to wield the OSV properly. You could hop with him to the warehouse but it'll be easier for you to tell him where it is while you go do your own thing with Felon. It's unlikely that you're going to keep living in it after Kingpin's dead so it doesn't matter if the Bratva finds out now.

You turn back to the building entrance.

"Artyom, radio the Brigadier if you can leave your post to train one of my men to use the OSV. Say it's for help with Kingpin."

The Bratva guard nods his head, takes out his radio, and speaks Russian into it. A minute passes before he holsters the radio.

"I have been given permission to leave my post."

A smile spreads across your face.

"Good, get to Hunts Point in the Bronx and go to 600-698 Manida Street. It's between Randall Avenue and Spofford Avenue. All the houses are worn down and abandoned with the exception of a warehouse near the middle of the street. Inside and likely on the second floor, you'll find a Colombian lieutenant of mine: he's the one I want you to train how to use the OSV."

You shake one briefcase and then shake the other before handing the one that made the most noise to Artyom.

The Russian man opens it, glances inside, and closes it.

"I will get there as soon as I can." he says.

You nod and turn in Manhattan's direction.

Only thing left to do is find out what Wesley knows and alter Kingpin's will.

Though, you could grab Artyom and jump back to Hunts Point with him but you hardly see the point now that you told him the address. You do have sentries posted but you doubt they'd shoot at him. Alex could end up stabbing him to death if she's still on the ground floor. Itsuki and Ren are likely assisting Marcus with the drilling of the new recruits.,

Maybe you're justing paranoid or maybe you're on the cusp of making a terrible mistake.

>[X] "When or if the sentries stop you or shoot at you, ask for Ren and tell her I sent you and why."

You've got to finish things with James Wesley but you can at least give Artyom instructions that will lower his chances of getting murdered.

Glancing back at Artyom, you see him sliding off his security vest.

"When or if the sentries stop you or shoot at you, ask for Ren and tell her I sent you as well as why."

The man folds his vest and nods.

You turn to Manhattan, sprint out of the Bratva marine terminal, leap to the top of the nearest building, and take off back to the rooftop you left Felon on.

It takes you four minutes to return to the street James Wesley lives on.

Across the building gap, you see Felon leaning back on the roof parapet.

You jump to the parallel rooftop and land by his side.

The mutant thug jolts in his place before he turns to look up at you.

"Oh! You're back." Felon rises to meet you face to face. "I know now might not be a good time but I've got to ask; what the hell was that with Lexy back at Zebra Daddy's?"

You frown.

"The old man first."

Felon groans and points a thumb at the man's townhouse.

"He's in there all right. Saw him make Rosa lick the motherfucker's shoes before he tied her up in chains, attached fucking hooks to her piercings, bent her over, and-"

You cut the mutant off with a raised hand.

"Fucking hell! I just needed to hear if he was inside not how he likes fucking his whores!" You blink at Felon as something dawns on you. "Why were you watching him up to that point?"

An embarrassed expression appears on Felon's face.

"I-it was kind of like one of those really disgusting things you see and know are disgusting but can't look away from, ya na'mean?"

You give the thug a look.

"No, no I do not know what you mean."

Turning away from a disheartened Felon, you look at James Wesley's home.

A sigh escapes your lips as a series of images flash through your mind.

You can't help but be a bit curious about Felon's astral form. With all the supernatural cosmic courtship you've been the target of lately, you should be looking into that kind of phenomenon. It'd be good for you to have a talk with Itsuki sometime about that. His sword seemed to be the genuine article and it burned like a bitch after he slashed you with it despite your extreme tolerance to pain. Maybe those chants of his actually help him use the sword, keep the demon inside, or repel whatever bad juju it attracts. From the way he said he thought you came to him for it, it didn't sound like you were the first.

Turning back to Felon, you let out a hum.

"So, your astral form, people normally can't see you in it or do you normally look like a faceless Casper?"

Felon blinks at you before widening his eyes.

"Oh yeah, you saw me. No one I've ever flown by in astral form ever noticed me or so much as heard me except for you. Gotta tell you though, I thought being around you in person felt uncomfortable."

You raise an eyebrow at the man.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, um...How do I explain this to you? Being around you in astral form felt like I was on fire. I was feeling parts of me wisp away...but at the same time it felt cold, like there was nothing: no time, no air, no ground, no space, no me." Felon looks away from you. "Then I heard you speak and saw...you staring at me but not seeing me; looking at me with your eyes but not with your real ones, the ones that were burning but hollow behind the dark brown."

...

An unrestrained hum rumbles in your throat, sending thundering vibrations all throughout the surrounding air.

You're going to need to find someone who can get to the bottom of all this cosmic spiritual shit after Kingpin's dead.

"Take possession of the old man now. I don't care if he's balls deep in that whore, just get the damn door open but make sure she's locked up in his sex dungeon or his closet; I don't give a fuck, but make it so she's not distracting us."

Felon sighs.

"Alright."

The mutant thug leans back down on the parapet. As he closes his eyes, the familiar faceless wisp of his astral self floats out of his body.

You ponder the man's words as his specter turns to James Wesley's townhouse.

We didn't come all this way only to get fucked over by our own idiocy. We can try to fuck with the astral bullshit AFTER we get the lawyer hijack done clean, and maybe after we topple Wilson Fisk. That's not saying we don't wanna, because we do - we just have priorities we gotta stick to at crucial times like this.
>>
>>2809514
Also give Felon some space because if we have some weird anti-aether aura bullshit we never knew about until now, we don't want to jeopardize this operation by burning up his soul or something. Although if we can do that to other non-aetherial people in the future, that'd certainly be one way to assert our total domination over them.

Grabbing it or touching it could get you possessed by Felon, but just concentrating on it shouldn't do anything.

You narrow your eyes and glare at the faceless astral being.

Slowly but surely, the figure starts to materialize in your vision: his features become more noticeable and his body starts to take form.

A searing pain starts to flare in your skull but you ignore it.

The blur get clearer and clearer until it fully reveals itself as a see-through blue Felon.

Your eyes slam shut as the feeling in your head explodes to an unfathomable magnitude. Something that is your skull but not your skull splits open before a wave of euphoria spills over you. Fresh blood that is not blood flows out of your wound and hardens over it as it morphs into flesh that is not flesh.

A minute passes by before the euphoria fades away and the flesh that is not flesh has finished its transformation.

You open your eyes again and look out to the world with your real ones as well as a third that does not have form yet does.

The air around you feels like you but is not you, yet is slowly becoming you: a surging inferno with nothing burning as its fuel.

A hum rumbles in your throat that sends echoes of formless energy throughout the new world.

You look down at yourself and raise a hand to examine.

It feels as though you're moving two hands with both inhabiting the same space yet sharing a different existence. You don't see anything out of the ordinary however.

>Supernatural Ability Unlocked: Astral Perception(You can look, feel, hear, smell, and taste a world that few can.)
>Supernatural Ability Discovered: Invasive Aura(You passively exude a strange energy on the supernatural plane of existence that renders the spiritual atmosphere around you inhospitable to otherworldly beings. Whether you secrete this aura naturally or is a byproduct left by forces beyond your control is unknown.)

>[X] Hop around the area a bit, get a feeling for the world as it really is.

You don't want to experiment with this new awareness of everything too much but you should at least get a feel for it now lest it comes back to bite you later.

Without glancing towards it, you side-flip from the vomit stained rooftop to the parallel rooftop you spied on Felon from.

The air you soar through feels vibrant and tastes refreshing as you breathe it in.

Landing on the rooftop, you gaze up at the sun.

You stare at it until you make out the seemingly infinite amount of energy it gives off.

Exhaling, you feel and see a toxic wisp flow out of your mouth before dissipating into the air.

The world itself seems to be alive in a fashion. It doesn't have an exact consciousness but you can tell it instinctively manages the energies that flow around it and through it. Mother Earth doesn't seem to care about your strange aura, however, likely because it only affects beings like Felon in his astral form.

A hum rumbles in your throat as you hop to a different rooftop.

You notice the force you use is entirely of a physical nature with no supernatural element to speak of. It's unsure to you whether or not that's natural but you wonder if it's possible to add any to it.

The rooftop hopping continues until all the new otherworldly sensations feel natural to you.

A pleased smile spreads across your face as you land back on the rooftop Felon's unconscious body resides.

Felon should be in possession of James Wesley by now.

>[X] Hop down and wait for Felon to open the front door of Wesley's house.

You've done enough experimenting for now; it's time to arrange the fall of Kingpin.

A leap through the robust air takes you to the tiled rooftop of James Wesley's house.

Taking a step off the edge of the roof, you fall to the side-walk below.

You turn back, walk to the ornate door of the townhouse, ring the doorbell, and wait for Felon to open it.

It takes a few minutes for the door to open and reveal a middle-aged man in white robes reeking of sex.

A groan escapes your lips as you move to cover your nose.

The man blinks at you with the familiar glow of someone else's eyes before opening the door wide open and gesturing inside.

"Come in now, please. I don't want to be in this body with memories of all the sick shit he's done to prostitutes any longer than I have to." he says in an accent that betrays his voice.

Laughing, you enter and look back to Felon as he closes the front door.

"Don't get out of that body just yet, there's something he knows that I need to and something I need him to do."

Felon sighs.

"What is it?"

A grin spreads across your face.

>[X] "The location of Kingpin's last will and testament."

It doesn't matter whether or not Felon's new puppet body bitch smells like he's been giving it up a girl's ass, Kingpin awaits as does everything he owns.

"Kingpin's location or at least his home address."

The man looks down for a moment before look back up to you.

"Kingpin should be at the Baccarat Hotel penthouse on west 53rd street. Just a few hours ago, this guy had a business meeting with some executives from a company who's CEO somehow got their skull caved in by a cork. Kingpin was there and he bought the company for a steal. Said he was going to go home after so he should be at that penthouse. Don't know why he wouldn't live in a mansion but I guess he likes looking down on the city he owns."

Your grin widens.

The false king's reign is coming to an end.

"So what do you need this guy to do or is their anything else you're looking for?" Felon asks.

"The location of Kingpin's last will and testament."

Felon blinks at you and points up.

"In this guy's office sealed in a safe locked by a key code."

You blink back at Felon.

"Seriously?"

The body-snatcher nods.

"It's common for a private or family lawyer to keep those kind of things if their clients don't feel its safe to have in the house."

A hum rumbles in your throat.

"So you really know everything this guy does about law and lawyer practices?"

"Yup."

You grin.

>[X] "Lead the way to the office, Felon."
>[X] "You get everything you need and Kingpin's will, I'm going to go bring in some back-up."

Felon didn't mention any but it couldn't hurt to ask if the whole posessee memory thing doesn't work the way you think it does.

"Do you know what kind of security Kingpin keeps around?"

The man blinks at you.

"He has special forces trained mercenaries on call and snipers posted on nearby rooftops. I guess that's why he lives in the penthouse."

It looks like Felon has to dig around Wesley's head for whatever he knows. That law tidbit was probably just because the man he's in is a lawyer.

"Lead the way to the office, Felon."

The body-snatcher nods his head and walks past you out of the doorway into the house proper.

Following his lead, you look around the fancy town house and see a wide array of expensive furnishings on the way to the staircase.

The one thing that catches your eye is a bonsai tree you see on a table. It's taking in the toxic energy in the air and exuding pleasant smelling energies. You can tell it's holding some amount of power inside it from the way it glows, quite possibly due to its age: some bonsai tree you stole a year or two back sold for several thousand dollars because the thing was apparently several hundred years old and old things in stories tend to be magical somehow. Either that or things from Japan are inherently magical.

You keep following the Felon possessed man through the house, up the staircase, past an entire floor that smells of sex, and stop when you reach the office room on the final floor.

Tall bookcases filled with law books are lined up against a wall. A computer, a phone, and a copier machine lay on top of a mahogany desk. Parallel to the bookcases are rows of file cabinets likely storing employer information and old suit documents

Felon walks behind the office desk and sits down in a chair.

"So, what are you planning to do?"

A grin spreads across your face.

"You get everything you need and Kingpin's will," You point a thumb behind your shoulder, "I'm going to go bring in some back-up."

Felon raises an eyebrow at you.

"What am I going to need?"

You blink at the man.

I also need the hookers phone and the number of the restaurant that Silvio is based out of. Change the will and get ready to put on a show."

Call Silvio from the hookers phone, tell him he'll be getting a call from Mr Fisks lawyer and to play the part of a"legitimate business man". Get him to pay up some of his plain clothes guys near kingpins place near the exits. Felon will call with Wesley's cell and try to get Silvio to have an "accident" befall Mr. Fisk as he changed his will and is being irrational. Silvio says no and Felon Wesley says he'll take care of it himself.

I'll go into next steps after that.

Alex.

Do please explain your crazy plan. I need to know if this is one of those improvisations or fully thought out master plans that should be written as such.
>>
>>2811632
Oh fully thought out. Outside preparations are having Silvio's plain clothes guys ready at the exits and inconspicuous, get some of our guys into the parking garage to prevent exit, have Alex and Jesus merc a sniper and take his place at the most likely exit (needs to have a decent shot at the roof top as well, Alex can go start hunting other snipers that we sniff out as well). Any sniper Alex gets should be replaced with one of our own. That should cover any exits.

As for inside Felon Wesley goes in ready to blow, as long as he gets in the building and caused an evacuation the rest is a done deal, though ideally he will make a scene in the lobby about Fisk not listening to reason or answering his calls. If he can bully his way to the penthouse it's a done deal right there, if not he can take out the elevators and strand him. If he's stranded we move Jesus to get a kill shot.

Anyone who looks into it sees basic gang shit and a lawyer that finally snapped. Should probably have someone off the stripper and make it look like Wesley did it. Break her phone after the call as well.
>>
>>2811672
Please let me know if I missed anything.
>>
>>2811675
I did miss something, though if people don't like the last leg it's fine. Once the building goes boom and we're sure kingpin is dead, we debut by saving people from the rubble (and we can retrieve the Felon ghost if he didn't make it out or auto return to his body). If anyone asks why Fisk might have changed his will say we saved him from a mugger or some shit and he took a shine to us.
>>
>>2811672
I'm actually really liking this, but I'd be better if we could manufacture a hostage situation with the Lawyer taking kingpin hostage and making crazy demands then blowing himself up along with Kingpin
>>
>>2811675
Our boys don't know how to snipe making Jesus the only one fit but I'm sure you knew that. The crucial key factor you forgot was that Kojo was not told Silvio's phone numberWesley would likely know, though so I give you a pass on that one.

Just a few questions:

Wouldn't Kojo's inheritance look super fucking suspicious after a suicide bomb/sniper assassination or are you foregoing it for the sake of anonymity?

Basic gang shit is kind of a misnomer don't you think? It's at least classic mob tier shit.

Are you sure about this, bruh?
>>
>>2811691
Bullseye would put a pretty quick stop to that. We need to make it a Deadman switch as well, if that wasn't obvious.
>>
>>2811684

>>2811698

>>
>>2811705
Can Felon still hear with his original body/feel with it
>>
>>2811692
I knew about the number. If it wasn't clear I meant to use Wesley's pc to look up the restaurants number, further adding to the pile on Wesley.

As for snipers I meant anyone who is ok with a rifle. We have enough guys that there should be a few and it's more mass of fire than accuracy with them.

The whole point of having Wesley reach out and specifically mention the will is so that it looks like he doesn't agree with kingpin changing it and tried to kill him over it.

Classic mob shit is more accurate. By having Wesley reach out to Silvio about kingpin acting unstable it makes it look like there's blood in the water and that info travels fast. What cops won't know is that all the gangs are us at this point.
>>
>>2811672
>>2811684
>>2811716
I like this plan. Backing this all the way because it feels good for what it is. Also
>[ ] Grab the bonsai tree.
Might as well drop this off back at our warehouse, preferably under Itsuki's care while we're out. Recovering Felon's original body is also something we'll have to do at some point.
>>
Also helps that the plan is a multilayer ruse that accounts for pretty much anything and everything including evidence uncovered after the fact, all the while keeping ourselves anonymous until the time comes.
>>
>>2811716
>The whole point of having Wesley reach out and specifically mention the will is so that it looks like he doesn't agree with kingpin changing it and tried to kill him over it.
Kind of weird why he'd kill himself in the process though or alter it. I guess you could say he was under threat of violence for the alteration and the suicide bombing was him realizing there was no way out for him so he decided to try and at least take kingpin with him.
>>
>>2811730
You better believe I have answers for anything if we get pressed afterwards as well. By keeping the will thing non specific but throwing it out there means only kingpin and Wesley know the reasons why. We can only guess really.
>>
>>2811735
It would seem weird. Then they find the dead hooker and the shit he was into when they investigate his house. Looks like he was always a bit screwy huh?
>>
>>2811730
Eh, I'd say if it defaults to sniping it'd look more suspicious. Maintaining anonymity depends on how much info you decide to leave of yourself in the will. It won't out you as a crime king but it will out your existence.
>>

If you're talking about the first spoiler, as soon as I knew kingpin was the first major goal I figured we'd be dealing with him in a penthouse of some sort. Originally the plan was to train our guys up while we're dealt with other gangs. Then we turned Itsuki and Silvio I actually got both those rolls btw and that expanded the options a bit. It really all came together with Felon though. He's the perfect catalyst.

As for the second one? In my tabletop group I took over a town that was under attack/occupation as a level one Bard. Completely derailed the campaign, but more importantly drew focus away from all the other party members. I agreed that it was pretty shitty and changed to more of a beatstick so everyone else could shine.

>(1/2)

You stare at Felon until a spark of genius flashes through your mind: a sure-fire plan that will have little to no possible complications and make your inheritance of Kingpin's earthly possessions less suspicious.

A wicked grin spreads across your face.

Going about your power plays with little to no outside assistance is your standard modus operandi. It's understandable considering how you got your start but all that's done up to this point is limit your options. There's no harm to your ego if you call in assistance from Silvio: he is your man now after all. Sometime in the future, you might have to get used to working with other people so it's good to start working on that now. Little harm it would do even if you hadn't made Silvio bend the knee; your plan is ingenius and you would have likely found a way to fuck him over in the process as well.

"A vest, some duct tape, and this brick of C-4 inside this briefcase I somehow forgot I was carrying." You wave around the briefcase before tossing it onto the mahogany desk much to Felon's dismay. "Jury rig yourself a suicide vest to put on Wesley. I also need the hooker's phone and the number of the restaurant Silvio is based out of." Your eyes widen a bit as an idea strikes you. "Second thought, does Wesley know Silvio Manfredi's personal phone number?"

The body-snatcher blinks at you.

"It's nine-one-seven, three-eight-zero, five-five-nine-two, and Rosa's phone is still in the dungeon along with her on the third floor so have fun walking through that disgusting hell hole."

You groan.

"You didn't take it with you?"

Felon nods.

"After where he put it, fuck no."

You sigh.

"Change the will and get read to put on a show."

Turning back, you step out of the room but are stopped when you hear Felon say something behind you.

"What should I change it to?"
>>
>(2/2)

You turn back to look at the possessed middle-aged man.

A hum rumbles in your throat.

There are a few ways you could go about this. You could tell some bogus story about how Fisk was saved by some horned mutant African-Mexican from a mugger or tell the "truth". Might be good to leave in your real name if you tell it or a suitable alias. Either way, people are going to ask questions; what matters is the kind of narrative you spin. One would look suspicious and the other would look almost plausible. Unfortunately, the plausible looking one doesn't make you feel any comfortable.

It's best if you tell the half-truth and lie about saving the man. You don't want to but everything will turn out great if you do. People will likely dig into your story and discover who your father was but they'll be unable to claim that the words written on the will are false. They will, however, pry into what you know about your father and who he was to you. Maybe you'll be able to keep your cool at first but over time it'll wear away at you until you burst; it might be good to finally have a talk with Marcus about what happened between you and your father all those years ago when you're done with all this.

You breathe in and sigh.

"I, Wilson Grant Fisk, bequeath all my earthly possessions, wealth, and estates to Kojo Reyes, the African Mexican mutant with horns. His father was an old friend of mine that I had wronged. After Kojo saved my life, I discovered the relation and want to do right by his son for all I took from his father."

Felon blinks at you.

"Reyes. That name belonged to-" The body-snatcher widens his borrowed eyes."...Your Augusto Reyes' son."

...

It's been a long time since you've heard that name.

Augusto Reyes.

Great Kings.

Venerable Kings.

He was none of what his name meant but that didn't mean he couldn't sire one with a woman who's full name literally meant Queen Lion Moon.

You glare wordlessly into the ethereal blue glow behind Wesley's eyes.

If he wasn't essential to the plan you had in mind, you'd rip him apart to feel the slightest bit better right now.

As much as part of you wants to know how Wesley knew your father, you have other shit to do. Threatening Felon won't do much to stop the wave of questions people are going to ask you about him anyway.

You breathe in and sigh once again.

"...Well? What are you waiting for? Get to work."

Felon nods his head twice before sinking underneath the mahogany desk.

You walk out the office door, make your way to the staircase, and walk down two floors.

A groan escapes your lips as you reach the sex reeking third floor.

Finding James Wesley's sex dungeon doesn't take too long or much effort: it's the very source of the scent.

You take a deep breath and sigh before opening the door.

Pitch black darkness is all you see inside.

Blinking, you feel around the sides of the wall for a light switch until you hear the sound of muffled moaning sound out through the darkness.

Another groan escapes your lips as you feel a part of yourself twitch.

You feel around the walls more until you touch the front face of a light switch box.

Grimacing, you do your best to prepare yourself for whatever you may see.

Flipping all the switches on, you turn and see a brown-skinned girl suspended in the air by chains connected to the ceiling. A few smaller ones attached to her more...exotic piercings are linked to the larger chains. Her eyes are obscured by a blindfold and her mouth is gagged by a silicone cover strapped around her head. On the walls of the room are racks upon racks of sex toys Alex could only dream of one day having. You're sure if your crazy little serial killer where here she'd try and take the prostitute's place or just experiment on her with all of Wesley's toys. She'd likely throw herself at you on the spot, begging to be punished with every last one of them before you give her the pleasure of your-

You close your eyes and shake your head, dismissing all lewd thoughts from your mind.

Opening your eyes, you scour the room for any signs of a mobile phone. Your gaze stops at a table holding up bottles of water, a few lines of cocaine, and two mobile phones. One of them is a noticeable cookie cutter burner and the other is a more modern looking phone.

You run to the table, snatch up the burner, run out of the sex dungeon, and close the door behind you.
>>

A sigh of relief escapes your lips before you flip the phone open and input Silvio's phone number.

The phone rings twice before you hear a familiar voice on the other end.

"Who are you and how did you get this phone number?"

You grin.

"Relax, Silvio, it's me."

"Oh! Forgive me, don. Though my question still stands; how did you get this phone number?"

Your grin widens.

"James Wesley told me."

"That's Kingpin's lawyer...You're moving on him right now, aren't you?"

"Yeah, and I need your help."

The old man hums through the phone speaker.

"What do you need?"

A hum of your own rumbles in your throat.

Tombstone might be a professional but it couldn't hurt to get updated. You're not that concerned if he fails his task but it might interfere with your plans for Kingpin if he receives word of a failed assassination attempt on Hammerhead and decides to move on Silvio or go into hiding. It'll be easy to take out Hammerhead after dealing with Kingpin if you need to, however.

"Actually, have you received word from Tombstone yet?"

"No, but give it time. Lonnie may be used to handling things bluntly but he can be discreet when need be. He knows well enough that if he messes up or doesn't wait for an opportunity, he's ruined."

You hum again.

"I'll take your word for that."

"Thank you. Now, what do you need from me?"

"A dozen or so casually dressed Maggia men with concealed weapons outside the Baccarat hotel exits."

"Consider it done, I'm assuming they're back up in case an infiltration operation doesn't go as planned?"

A laugh escapes your lips.

"I guess you could say that. Don't think any kind of infiltration has ever had this literal level of infiltration before, though."
>>
>(2/2)

Silvio hums over the line.

"Do you need anything else or will that be all, don?"

You grin.

"I need you to answer another call from James Wesley himself. Play the part of a legitimate businessman. He's going to ask for you make an accident befall Kingpin. The big man's changed his will and has been acting irrational, you see. Decline his offer but don't hang up until Wesley says he's going to take care of things himself."

"...I'll do that. Forgive my curiosity, don, but what exactly are you planning?"

Your grin widens.

"You'll know when I'm done; it's going to be the headline on every newspaper in New York."

Tightening your grip slightly on the burner phone, you crush the device with little effort and let the electronic scrap fall to the floor.

You spare a glance at the door behind you and contemplate murdering the girl inside.

Felon would likely have a few words to say about that as would Zebra Daddy. The pathetic prostitute's a witness, however, that could give a story that'd contradict the man's character before the incident. Zebra Daddy could be paid recompense or given a position worth more than the whore's life but Felon will never let you hear the end of it if he hears the news. His goody-two-shoes bullshit will buy him an early grave from you if he can't keep his pathetic hypocrisy to himself.

Forget about the whore, she hasn't seen our face or heard us since we haven't talked with Felon in or around her room. Plus on the slim chance she could be used to contradict the story she'll never live long enough to testify. Killing her now is just souring our relation with Zebra and Felon for no gain.

Get the bonsai tree for Itsuki as a welcoming gift, might help him get settled in his new position better if we can also manipulate him into thinking he's valued as a person, besides his cash and people assets.

Have to make sure that Felon knows what to say to Silvio before we leave. Having the whore dead helps sell that Wesley was losing it. Zebra daddy will get over it and Felon doesn't need to know until after everything's done anyway.

Fuck it, you can deal with Zebra Daddy and Felon later. The whore was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Letting her live, despite the obvious evidence of someone being with Wesley on the day he blew himself the fuck up, will let the police investigators know to look for someone in order to get some answers. It may not lead them directly to her but it might make people more suspicious about the subject of your inheritance. For there to be no suspicions whatsoever, you need to take care of all loose-ends that contradict the story you're spinning: no complications, no tracks, and no witnesses.

You sigh before turning and opening the dungeon door behind you.

The suspended girl lets out a muffled moan and struggles in her constraints.

Biting down a moan of your own, you approach the whore.

Whatever-her-name-is stops moving in her chains when your stride ends at her side.

You lay a finger underneath her chin and lift her head up to get a clear view of her neck; a groan escapes your lips before you clutch your other hand around her throat.

The prostitute lets out whines at first until it becomes obvious that you're not Wesley engaging in a little breathplay with her. She struggles in her bindings to no avail: unlike actual bondage restraints, none of what Wesley keeps around are intended for the sub to escape. Eventually, she stops struggling but you make sure to keep strangling the girl for minutes on end until you no longer feel her pulse in your grip.

You let go of the newly made corpse's head and exit the dungeon as fast as you can walk before shutting the door behind you.
>>
>(2/2)

A sigh of relief escapes your lips as you begin to make your way back up to James Wesley's office.

Felon is expertly typing on the computer keyboard when you walk in.

"Almost done, just a little more left to type and you don't need one but do you want to put anyone down as Fisk's will executor?" Felon asks without looking up to you. "If you don't put anyone, Vanessa Fisk will become the executor by default due to Richard Fisk's quote unquote disappearance."

You raise an eyebrow at the man.

"The fatass' kid is dead?"

Felon nods.

"Something happened between him, Richard, and Vanessa. Internal squabbling over the criminal empire most likely. Either Mr. Fisk or Ms. Fisk did it. Vanessa flew out to Europe for a bit afterward before Kingpin called her home and payed for her flight."

You hum.

A part of you was hoping you'd get to murder father and son after the son caught wind of the father's death.

>[X] "Make it Silvio, spin some bullshit about him appointing the old man as some sort of I'm sorry I couldn't say I was sorry until I was dead thing."

Vanessa is likely to fight you on the inheritance through legal means whether or not you choose her as the executor of Kingpin's will. As much as a giant fuck you it would be to the web-head if you had him hand you a fortune, it'd likely throw massive amounts of suspicion on you. Silvio is the best candidate due to his owned business shares in companies Fisk has been merging with Fisk Industries and his affiliation with you. If he were to try and take the inheritance from you, it would be easy to frame him as the mastermind behind Kingpin's assassination even if it'd hurt your pride.

"Make it Silvio, spin some bullshit about him appointing the old man as some sort of I'm sorry I couldn't say I was sorry until I was dead thing."

Felon nods his head mid-typing.

You stand around for a few minutes until the printer on Wesley's desk starts making strange screeching noises.

Half a minute later, the screeching noises stop and Felon lays a fancy piece of paper on top of the printer.

"It's done. Everything Kingpin legally owns will go to you, Silvio will act as the executor of his will, and your name as well as a suitable description of you is on it."

A grin spreads across your face.

Phase one of your plan is almost complete.

There's still quite a few things left you need to take care of, however.

I imagine we can rig the vest with a deadman switch and do it better than felon. I'm trying to think of somewhere we could put the will as it will help play up the divide between Wesley and kingpin. Preferably it would be a lockbox but that seems too tricky to pull off in the eleventh hour.

You have the opportunity to learn more about your father and quite possibly won't ever have an opportunity like this again. No matter how much thinking back on the time you spent with him fills you with rage, you want to know more about him. All you know of your mother is her name and who she was at the time she met your father. With Augusto, you still have a chance to learn more.

A frown makes its way onto your face.

"Before we go any further, I need you to tell me what Wesley knew about my father while you're still in him."

Felon blinks at you.

"Whenever Kingpin needed someone to get whacked, start seeing things his way, or get reminded that he was in charge Kingpin told Wesley to call your father. Don't know how exactly he started working for Kingpin but he was Fisk's go-to guy for over half a decade. Got sent after Silvio one time and failed to off the old man but he bagged five of his capos after he started chasing him all over New York. He could've gotten him at the end of it if Silvermane hadn't called the Taskmaster to save him. Your dad was out of commission for a few days but so was Taskmaster from what Wesley heard. A few months after that, Kingpin had a meeting with the CEO of some shady company by the name of Hind. He had Wesley call your dad to oversee a deal at a Hind warehouse to make sure everything went okay but things didn't end well: your father killed someone in Hind who was an undercover agent and Kingpin put a massive bounty on his head to whoever got to him before the agency that undercover guy worked for did." Felon sighs. "...Two weeks later, Kingpin got word that Augusto Reyes was found in Hunts Point-"

You raise a hand that stops Felon from continuing.

"I know how this ends."

The body-snatcher looks at you with the same strange glow in his eyes Cage's bitch gave you last night.

"Is that why you're doing all this? For revenge against Kingpin for what he did to your father?"

You blink at Felon before breaking out in a fit of booming laughter. Keeling over, you point at the fool. A full minute goes by until your laughter dies.
>>
>(2/2)

"Oh god, no! Does Wesley really think any of those shithead street trash thugs like Barracuda Kingpin sent after my father could've actually killed him?" A feral grin spreads across your face. "The one who blew out one of his Achilles tendon, shot him right through the heart when he turned to see if it was really the only person behind him, and blew his fucking brains out onto the streets was me. I'm doing all of this for me and no one else." You scowl. "Don't look at me with those fucking eyes like I'm some sort of wounded animal that needs your fake pity, I can't even understand the concept behind that bullshit. The more you care for things you think are hurt instead of letting them pick themselves up the more pathetic and weak they become until they're just as pitiful as you."

Felon stares at you in silence and parts his lips to say something but wisely closes them.

Unfortunately, the foreign glow in his eye grows brighter.

A sigh escapes your lips.

Idiots like him will forever be incomprehensible to you, not that you want to understand.

"Hand over the new will and burn the old one, it's not going to be safe keeping the new one here."

Felon takes the piece of paper set on the printer in his hand before holding it out to you.

You walk over and swipe it out of his hand.

The body-snatcher opens a drawer from the mahogany desk, pulls out a lighter, shuts the drawer, lifts the old will off the desk with one hand, and flips the lighter on underneath the will with the other.

Both of you stare at the will catch fire until all but a held corner of it is soot and ash.

A small smile makes its way onto your face as you turn to Felon.

"Call Silvio with Wesley's office phone, act paranoid, ask Silvio to make an accident befall Mr. Fisk because he changed his will and has been acting irrational, and when Silvio says no say you'll take care of things yourself. Get to work on the vest when you're done."

Felon nods Wesley's head at you and reaches for the phone before you walk out of the office.

Your smile gives way to a frown.

No one has ever heard what you did to your father; it had been something you were waiting to tell Marcus one day when you felt you could without blowing up on him.

For Felon's sake, he'd best forget everything once he floats back into his body.

You glance down at the sheet of paper in your hand.

All you need to see to now, though, is finding somewhere to put this that won't be suspicious in any way whatsoever.

Putting it in the safe is a terrible idea. We're trying to sell Wesley snapping. If the will is what causes it he would not keep the updated one around and fisk wouldn't trust him with it. Silvio's isn't a great option either but it's the best we have.

Though I've got a few ideas on how to potentially play this.

>[X] Walk downstairs, exit the front door, and hop to the Fazioli: Silvio is the executor in the will, after all.

Changing your mind and leaving the will in Wesley's safe will definitely look suspicious after his suicide bombing on Kingpin over it. Leaving the will with Silvio would raise some eyebrows, but it's understandable in a way: maybe people won't buy the apology but they could buy it as a kind of dying fuck you from Kingpin considering what Felon told you happened between him and your father. Silvio would also be further implicated and make a more fitting fall guy if you need him to be or easier to frame for the assassination if he turns on you.

You make your way to the staircase and begin your trek back to the front door.

As you walk to the entrance, you make a stop by the old bonsai tree you had seen earlier.

You take a moment to breathe in the fresh energies it gives off before snatching it with your free hand.

It'd make a nice gift for Itsuki or Ren if you don't feel like keeping it around for yourself. There might be some way for you to absorb its power but it's best to let sleeping dogs lie: you don't exactly understand what's happened to you. You could end up tearing yourself apart or severing your soul from your body if that's something you really have.

A third eye is supposedly a sign of enlightenment but you don't have any of the sort right now.

You finish your walk to the entrance, set the bonsai tree on the floor for a moment, open the door, pick up the bonsai tree, and exit James Wesley's house.

Before you start hopping to the Fazioli, you take a moment to breathe in the fresh air.

Soon you'll never have to stew in fancy sex stinking places ever again.

You leap to the roof of Wesley's townhouse and take off to Brooklyn.

It takes you four minutes to arrive at the rooftop of the Fazioli.

There are new cars and limousines parked around the block.

Either Silvio has called in more of his capos for a meeting or they just showed up to hang around their bosses favorite lounge bar.

>[X] Close your eyes and take in the air through your nose.

There's no need to rely on your new sixth sense, that seems to be really all the other five on another plane of existence, just yet. You're not sure what you'd see but mundane/mystical scents of smell are all you need right now.

You close your eyes, will your third eye shut, and take in the surrounding air through your nose.

Almost nothing about the scents in the air are out of the ordinary, save for the otherworldly freshness. Though, it's easier for you to make out the scents of other people due to the new contrast. Silvio, the barkeep, the pianist, traces of dead capo guy's blood, a bunch of Maggia men and a few unaffiliated women, two men posted at the entrance, and the familiar scent of an adolescent Sicilian-American all waft through the air like smoke from a forest fire.

You open your eyes and blink down at the Fazioli.

Sofia Manfredi is inside hanging around mobsters and crime lords while other people her age hang around with street rats and gangsters.

You'd compliment Silvio on his fantastic grand-parenting but he'd take that for sarcasm.

With a hop, you go from the roof of the Fazioli down to its entrance.

The two guardsmen jolt and reach for their weapons but stop when they see your horns.

A grin spreads across your face as one opens the door for you and the other gestures for you to come inside with a shaking hand.

Just as you enter, the men seated by the entrance stop their chatting to stare at you. The people around them notice and also turn their attention to you. Soon every man and what few women in the Fazioli are staring at you in bewilderment.

Your eyes scan the interior for Silvio until they stop at the table near the pianist you had talked with Silvio in.

The old man is staring at you with some curiosity while an olive skinned girl seated opposite from him ogles you with gleaming eyes.

Demanding respect in front of his granddaughter is a sure way to strain the relationship. Be nice for now, at least while she's present. If we treat her right and treat him with respect in front of her it will go a much longer way to securing his allegiance permanently than some petty grandstanding.

Pretty much this.

Not crazy about letting go of the will just yet, either.

You came here unannounced, again, and while holding your arms out for Sofia will delight her it's likely to unnerve Silvio. He knows your planning a move against Kingpin. Somehow, you're using James Wesley in an almost puppet like manner and as far as he knows you've been doing the legwork but you've only put his men into play. Now, you've shown up in person after ordering him to go along with an incriminating phone call.

This doesn't exactly look good for you.

Relaxing your posture, you stride past the tables of staring Maggia affiliates to the Manfredi table.

Silvio's eyes remain fixed on you the entire time.

You smile and wave at the olive-skinned girl, who responds by returning the gesture more enthusiastically.

A warm laugh escapes your lips before you set down the will by the spare table chair and lay the bonsai tree over it.

The chair makes a screech as you pull it back from the table.

You sit down and scoot yourself in.

Silvio's curious look turns to a blank one.

"...What can I help you with, Don? It must important if you had to show up in person."

Cold but not disrespectful; the old man at least understands his position.

All for cutting to the chase, but maybe with just a touch less abruptness. Let him know we know what we are doing.

Very curious about what Silvio knows, but unlike Wesley, Silvio should be around at the end of the day to chat about old times, drinking to the death of the Kingpin.

Also: Never really a good idea to mention assassination and a Mafia leader's granddaughter in the same breath to him when he's already nervous as hell about you.
That's my opinion anyway.

Finding out more about your father can wait. While talking about Sofia could break the ice a bit the whole part about the assassination thing may make him feel even more uncomfortable. Best to just jump right into the thick of things.

"I'm gonna cut right to the chase, Silvio, by my feet is Wilson Grant Fisk's will. I am the sole inheritor and you are the designated executor. I'm putting my trust in you to keep it safe for now."

Silvio blinks at you.

"Can you show me the paper, don?"

You nod, reach over the side of your chair, slide the bonsai tree off the document with a finger, grab the will, and hand it to Silvio.

He takes it from your hand with the utmost care and spends a minute reading the paper.

Finished, he raises his widened eyes from Kingpin's will to you.

"How did you get Wesley to do all of this? The will, the phone call, and whatever you have him doing now?"

You grin.

"I'll tell you over a drink when Kingpin's dea-" You stop and glance at the gray-eyed heir to the Manfredi family. "...smoke-...ice-...eighty six-...erase-...gone?"

Sofia pouts at you.

"You can just say killed: I'm not a little girl!"

You blink at the girl and turn to Silvio.

The old man sighs.

"Don't bother trying to hide our business around little Sofia; I stopped a long time ago and I'm far better for it. No matter how much I tried to shield her from this life of ours, she always found a way through. I once got a call from the principal of her boarding school that she was caught playing and organizing poker for Easter day candy with a group of her classmates. You can guess where she got the idea from."

Sofia giggles.

"Trish cried like a bitch when I took all her shit."

Silvio groans.

"Language, young lady."

The little girl shrinks in her seat

"Sorry, granddaddy. I meant to say Trish cried like a sissy when I took all her candy from her sticky, icky hands"

Silvio sighs.

"...Better but needs improvement."

Sofia returns to her cheerful self.

"Thank you, granddaddy!"

You watch both the Manfredis with analytical eyes.

Their behavior is much like that of other families you've observed despite the difference in context.

A frown makes its way onto your face.

Like the rest of them, their interactions are nothing like the ones you had with your father.

She's got potential and it's an easy thing to hold over Silvio's head if necessary so be polite to her. After everything is said and done we can talk things over some drinks with Marcus, Silvio, Ren, Itsuki, and whatever rep the bratva want to send to hash out territories and new roles.

I'm thinking Marcus as our PR guy, Ren as our assistant/right hand, Itsuki for handling the daily goings on with the criminal side of things, bratva are obviously for keeping our guys trained and in good gear, and Silvio as our primary advisor/left hand. He's been in the game long enough with freaks like us running around and is still alive and not in jail, he's clearly doing something right.

With a few points.

>It was nice meeting you Sophia."
She's met us before.

>Marcus as our PR guy
As long as this is a lateral promotion, not a demotion, I can see it.

>Bratva are obviously for keeping our guys trained and in good gear
In my opinion, the Bratva never gonna be absorbed into us. The Yakuza were broken and their remains scavenged, much like Kingpin's kingdom is about to be.
The Maggia acknowledged Kojo as the new leader of their organization.
The Bratva have neither broken nor taken a knee. They simply put aside past differences to do do good business. They are independent contractors we allow to work in our city because they're good and more trouble to replace than keep.
Like the police will eventually be.
They will never consider themselves owned by us and that's something to keep in mind.
>>
>>2823999
Ah my mistake, completely forgot we met her. Definitely a lateral promotion. PR is important and Marcus is the best guy for it. It's a pretty big responsibility. Oh I'm aware they won't be absorbed, but they'll definitely be on payroll and this would be their use.

If they have a problem with that, it's another story.

Silvio may as well be all that's left of the New York Maggia so yeah. He's still leading them, though. You can decide to be the big don of dons or the one don and integrate the Maggia fully into the gang when Kingpin's dead.

>[X] "...I'm going to go now, keep the will in a safe or something. We'll talk over drinks when Kingpin's dead. It was nice seeing you Sofia."

You're already getting agitated over your familial issues; you can talk to Silvio about your father later when Kingpin is a corpse and you're feeling much better.

A sigh escapes your lips.

"...I'm going to go now, keep the will in a safe or something. We'll talk over drinks when Kingpin's dead." You rise from your chair and turn to Silvio's granddaughter. "It was nice seeing you, Sofia."

The little girl frowns.

"You're going already? I wanted a piggy back ride."

"Now now, Sofia," Sivio says, "the Don's got important business to attend to."

A part of you feels like adding in the whole new Don boss man respect thing but you don't.

You nod your head.

"Maybe some other time but I've gotta go now."

The girl crosses her arms but relents.

"Okay, go kill that Kingpin guy. Just be happy about it; you look sad."

...

You blink and raise an eyebrow at the Sofia.

No one has ever said that to you. Marcus and Dan used to say you looked depressing but not sad. To them, you just looked the way you were on the inside: empty.

"I look sad?"

The girl slowly nods her head.

"Yeah, don't you feel sad?"

You shake your head.

"I've never felt sad before once in my life. I don't really understand what sadness is."

Sofia blinks at you.

"That's weird."

You shrug.

"Guess so but I don't think I'd do well with those kind of feelings."

Moving to the side of your chair, you bend down and lift up the shimmering bonsai tree.

A breath of its exuding energies calms your nerves.

You turn to the entrance, walk past the quiet observers, and exit the Fazioli.

The entrance guards open their lips to say their farewells but you hop to the roof of the lounge bar before they can.

A hum rumbles in your throat.

Felon is probably finishing up with the vest by now and Artyom is either still making his way to the warehouse or has taught Jesus how to use the OSV by now.

You can go ahead without any sniper back up but with Wesley as a suicide bomber or you can throw both out the window right now and go after Fisk on your own.

>[X] Hop to the Warehouse to pick up back-up.

You haven't come this far to deviate from your master plan yet.

Turning to the direction of the Bronx, you take off.

It takes you a few minutes to reach Robert F. Kennedy bridge.

From your current vantage point in the sky, you see a truck already breezing across the toll road.

You land on a neighboring rooftop and leap onto the truck cargo roof as it passes by.

Twelve minutes pass until the truck nears the bridge supports by the Bronx crossover.

Rising to your feet, you hop from the truck roof to the bridge supports and from the bridge supports back onto a rooftop in Port Morris.

It takes two minutes for you to breeze your way to the Warehouse street.

You stop on an empty rooftop next to one of your stationed lookouts and peer down on the streets below.

Dozens of fresh faced teenagers in military grade equipment are hanging about the usually empty neighborhood: Chatting, whispering, boasting, and flaunting around their gear. Almost all of them look enthusiastic but a few among them have the look of half-assed street thugs who have no idea what they just got themselves into. Somewhat understandable to you considering most of them are recruits who likely joined in so their parents wouldn't have to pay protection fees.

A grin spreads across your face.

That speech of yours flipped all but a handful, though; it's still an accomplishment you doubt anyone but you could've achieved.

You hop down to the open warehouse gate.

The boys you land near go through the same song and dance as the Fazioli guards but you ignore them in favor of the sight inside the warehouse.

By the round-table is Artyom showing Jesus how to hold the OSV-96 you picked up from the Bratva while the rest of your lieutenants, with the exception of Alex, and sole enforcer train weapons on the Russian man.

You don't know whether to feel assured by your crew's paranoia or concerned.

It's time to commence the master plan.

Your grin widens.

"Put your weapons away from the Russian man and sit down in a circle; it's time for a meeting!"

Marcus, Ren, and Itsuki glance at you before following through with your orders. Jesus hands the OSV over to Artyom and takes his "seat" in the ground circle. Alex steps out of a dark corner of the warehouse and walks to the circle, all the while dragging her tongue over a brand new combat knife. She takes her place, leans back, and waves at you with her knife free hand as she drags her tongue across the blade of the knife all the way to its tip before winking.

You bite down a groan and make your way to Itsuki.

The former Yakuza enforcer looks up at you before turning his eyes down to the bonsai tree.

Shrugging, you hand the bonsai tree out to him.

"Here, I don't really have much of an interest in this kind of thing. The air it gives off is pretty fresh, though. Keep it as a gift from me and a keepsake of your homeland."

Itsuki takes the bonsai tree out of your hands and sets it on his lap.

"どうも ありがとうございました、 Reyes-sama; I will keep it until the day I die." he says in his usual monotone.(Romanji: Domo arigatogozaimashita, Translation: Thank you very much)

You blink at the Japanese man.

"Okay, good to know you like it."

Circling around the inner circle, you stop at the open space between Ren and Marcus; you sit down with Ren to your left and Marcus to your right.

Parting your lips to say something, you notice something out of place.

You rise from your seated position, lay a hand on the shoulders of the two people by your feet, lift them into the air, turn to the opposite direction, seat them down, turn back, and sit down.

The two lieutenants turn in their new seats to face the proper direction as Alex giggles.

From the corner of your left eye, you see Marcus giving you a look.

"...Seriously?"

You nod your head and smile.

"Ren's my second-in-command now, remember?"

Marcus groans and Alex's giggle evolves to full blown laughter.

You let out a laugh of your own.

"Okay okay, enough of that. I have to tell you all something important."

All of the round-table leans in and focuses on you.

Your smile turns into a grin.

"I went to Zebra Daddy and found a mutant working under him who could possess people by going into them while in some weird spirit form. Zebra Daddy gave me the address of James Wesley's home and I took him there with me. I had him see if Wesley was there while I went out to pick up some things from the Bratva. Those things ended up being a brick of C4, that anti-mat rifle Artyom was teaching Jesus how to use, and Artyom himself actually. Hopped back to Wesley's, got word from ghost boy Wesley was home, had ghost boy possess the man and let me in, had ghost boy give me Kingpin's address and tell me what security Wesley knew Kingpin had, rewrote the will Fisk trusted Wesley with so I was the sole inheritor, had ghost boy burn the old one, ordered ghost boy to make himself a suicide vest, and I went back to Silvio to leave the will with him because I had him written in as the executor." You take a breathe. "That was before I got back here."

Every seated member of the round-table blinks at you.

Your grin widens.

"Now that you're all caught up, let me tell you the actual important thing. I came up with a master plan back at Wesley's. Started it by calling Silvio and having him station some of his guys around the Baccarat hotel exits where Kingpin's staying at. Told him to answer a call from Wesley and to act like a business man. I had ghost boy call Silvio in Wesley's body with Wesley's office phone and incriminate the fuck out of Wesley. I'm going to have him suicide bomb the Baccarat Hotel in Wesley's body. Silvio's guys are positioned at the exits just in case it doesn't kill Kingpin and if he's on the ground floor when it happens. We're going to take out Kingpin's rooftop sniper guys and replace them with our own but pretty much rely on Jesus to take out Kingpin if he's stuck in his penthouse thanks to a blown out elevator courtesy of suicide Wesley. We've got the sky, ghost boy's got the hotel, and Silvio's men have the ground. Kingpin isn't going to be breathing by the end of today and everything that's his will be mine. All anyone's going to see when it happens is business tycoon Wilson Grant Fisk pushed his lawyer off the edge and got killed by him via suicide, assassination, or both."

The inner circle stares at you in silence.

Marcus is the only one to muster a response.

"...Damn, Kojo."

You laugh diabolically and turn your head to the standing Russian holding the sniper rifle.

"Artyom, Is Jesus ready for his first sniping or do you still need time?"

The Bratva man answers without missing a beat.

"Your lieutenant only needed to know how to hold the rifle. His breathing technique and posture surpass my own. He is ready for the role you have in mind in your master plan."

"Good," you purr. "good."

Alex moans.

"Please say that again, only slower and sexier and on top of me."
>>
>(3/3)

You ignore the blond minx and rise from your seat.

"Everybody better ready up, because we're moving on Kingpin! The master plan is a go!"

Ren, Marcus, Jesus, and Alex rise from the ground to carry out your orders. Marcus and Jesus are still wearing the military grade vests you saw them in last time but you notice Marcus hasn't put his grenade belt on. Jesus walks to Artyom and takes the OSV-96 out of his hands.

Unlike the others, Itsuki is still seated on the ground.

You could use him but you don't have to.

Now could be a good time to ask him if he knows he anything about the supernatural or if he knows the exact function of your third eye.

May as well have the talk now, you have the time.

"Itsuki, do you know what a third eye is?"

The Japanese Buddhist looks up at you and studies you behind his shades.

"A third eye is a symbol of enlightenment and otherworldly perception, Reyes-sama. In the west, it is seen as a way of perceiving the spiritual realm. In Japan, India, and China it is seen as a gateway to enlightenment through inner realms or advancement to a higher consciousness. Lord Shiva, destroyer of evil and reformer, in Hinduism had a third eye that represented spiritual wisdom and knowledge yet also destruction. Evil and ignorance vanish as his third eye opens so they say. The third eye is also the Anja chakra or third-eye chakra and the sixth primary chakra in Hindu tradition. In Buddhism, the third eye is less of an existing entity and more of a concept of seeing the world beyond your eyes. Though some equate the third eye concept with one of the Pancha Abhigna."

You blink down at the middle-aged man.

That was a lot more than you thought you'd get but it hardly answers the mystery behind your third eye.

A hum rumbles in your throat.

You haven't left your third eye open by itself yet. All along, you've closed it every time you blinked reflexively. Whether or not it's meant to function that way is unknown to you. Maybe you'll see something different or the new world more clearly if you do. Either way, couldn't hurt to try it out on Itsuki: he does keep around a supernatural sword that's bound to have left some traces on him or in him and seems to be a devout spiritual man.

Closing your material eyes, you look down on Itsuki with only your third.

The material world around you seems to disappear and is replaced by one more discernible. Energies of varying forms flow about freely with some exceptions. You exist in some way beside the contained energies but not in them. If they were, what is you would enforce itself on them and in them. The permeating aura that is you but not you would wear away at them to make the ravaging all the more easy.

You are a smoldering dark red reaching out of your material form and they are a shining blue, some more than others, stuck in their own.

If they could reach out into this world, you would consume them on instinct.

You are but a newborn in soul unlike in flesh.

Opening your material eyes, you blink at Itsuki.

"Is something the matter, Reyes-sama?" he asks.

You shake your head.

"No, you're just...bright."

Itsuki tilts his head.

"How so?"

You shrug.

"You...feel, no, you are that way."

The Japanese man stares at you behind his shades hiding his brown eyes.

"...Thank you, Reyes-sama."

You take a breathe of the reinvigorating air and sigh.

If Itsuki had a third eye, you would've ripped him apart and ate him.

Same would probably go for Felon if you ever saw him in astral form again which could be a problem.

On the bright side, you know souls are a real thing that exist now.

Yours is just as different and strange as your body is to normal people's, though.

>Supernatural Condition Discovered: Predatory Soul(The essence of who you are is ravenous and instinctively hungers for the essence of other beings. You've had enough supernatural experiences for one day; there's still one question left on your mind, though.

"How long have I been standing here?"

Itsuki raises an eyebrow at you.

"Two minutes at most, Reyes-sama. One for the time you spent listening to my explanation and another for your comments on my...brightness."

You blink your three eyes at the Japanese man.

It was only an instant despite feeling much longer than it actually was.

Sighing, you sit down on the floor across from Itsuki and beside Jesus' prone form.

You observe the Colombian teen practice his stance with the OSV on the ground while waiting for everyone else to finish preparing.

Artyom, with his assignment done, walks out of the warehouse after giving you a customary salute you graciously return.

It takes a few minutes before Ren, Marcus, and Alex come back to you fully geared up.

Ren and Marcus are visibly carrying AK-104s, wearing military grade body armor, and have their usual handguns holstered in their gun belts. Marcus, unlike Ren, has a grenade belt strapped across his navel likely filled with his usual mix of tactical grenades and not so subtle fragmentation grenades. Alex is wearing the same carrier vest as the other two, wielding two knives in her hands, and visibly holstering a collection of new combat knives with the waistband of her men's pants. Your current second-in-command likely has her chain blade wrapped around her sleeved left arm just in case.

Jesus rises from the ground to stand by them with his brand new OSV-96 in hand.

You stand up and grin at the sight of your inner circle ready for bear in the best equipment you have.

Alone, you are more than enough to go against Kingpin and whatever private army he has.

The full capability of the inner circle added to your sheer might is enough to slaughter anyone who would oppose you.

Only trouble now is finding a way to get to Kingpin and Felon without anyone calling the police.

Don't grab anything that can be easily traced back to us. We're trying to be as stealth as possible and leave no trace that we were involved.

Alex also is fine with just knives, she's stealth killing snipers. If it goes loud she's already fucked, plus she's expendable anyway.

Cramped spaces are for crushing spines.

We really don't need guns. If we're getting personally involved there would have to be 3 or 4 separate points of failure. The whole point of the plan is to have it not be easily pointed back at us. Our main job is pointing out his snipers and having Alex merc them.

If we have to shoot that means the bomb didn't kill him, Jesus couldn't pick him off, Silvio's guys couldn't tag him, and our own crew of heavies couldn't take him down.

If all that occurs then we won't need a gun because things are so far gone we might as well go all out with our powers, hulk leap, and smash clean through his escape vehicle and body.

While she may be a terrible shot, having an AK could increase Alex's chance of surviving.

You turn to the blond.

"Alex, grab an AK. I know you're not a good shot but you're literally bringing just knives to a gun fight."

The girl blinks at you and shrugs.

"Alright, but don't be surprised if I drop it the moment I fire it or just drop it the moment we see Kingpin's guys."

A frown makes its way onto your face.

"One of those costs me several thousand dollars. You break it and I'll work it out of your ass along with the rest of your body."

The crazy girl blushes.

"When you say it like that, I feel like I should drop it before I even see any action."

You bite down a groan and sigh.

"...Just pass it to me or carefully lay it down on the ground. I'm sure that vest of yours can soak enough hits in for you to do that last one."

Alex nods her head.

"Got it, boss."

She walks to one of the open Bratva crates while you make your way to the warehouse ladders.

You hop to the second floor of the warehouse and see a few familiar faces dozing on the shabby futon covered floor.

Walking past them, you make your way to the gear area at the end of the room.

Beside one of the duffel gear bags is a familiar red shirt smelling of your savory blood. It seems like you lost it back when you did that epic back-flip onto the warehouse rooftop. You hardly noticed its absence thanks to the exhilarating cheers of your new recruits; good on them for handing it over and not keeping it for obsessive worship of you or selling it to someone who could've used it to get your genetic material.

You take one of the duffel bags with a minotaur sticker on it, zip it open, and pull out a black Beretta Tomcat with a wood grip chambered for .32 ACP.

"This handgun doesn't normally come with a wood grip. I prefer it to rubber even if I don't have sweaty hands whenever I shoot it. It feels good doesn't it, chico? Take it. Might be subsonic but it goes through the human body as good as any other handgun. Street level thugs are usually stupid enough to laugh at the sight of a pistol like that. You could get a few shots in and kill all of them if you're fast enough. Recoil will probably be a bit too much on those small hands of yours, though. Here, let me show you how to hold it."

You set the duffel bag down and grab the pistol with both your hands before pointing it straight at yourself in one of the nearby mirrors.
>>
>(2/3)

"Bueno. Now space out your legs. The recoil from shooting a gun isn't as strong as it is in the movies. It's enough to throw someone your size off, though."

You move a foot forward but keep your other foot to the ground.

"Slowly breathe in and breathe out but don't breathe in again."

You breathe in and exhale until there isn't any air in your lungs.

"When I shoot, I go for the head and typically people stay dead when the bullet blows bits of their brains out. I'm tall enough so I don't have to raise my aim that far. You're small now so start by shooting one of the shins or heels, take another shot at the center of their chest or back when they start to fall, and finish them with a final shot to the head."

You lower your aim to your mirror self's feet and fire.

A deafening boom echoes throughout the warehouse.

You raise your aim back to the center of the mirror and take another shot before the first casing can hit the ground.

Finally, you aim for your head and take the last shot.

One by one the casings hit the ground with the last one doing so right before the sound of gunshots stops echoing in the warehouse.

"Bueno, muy bueno. Keep that up, chico, and one day you might be as good as me. You're already better than I am with that knife of yours; it won't take you long. Speaking of which, it looks like we have some practice coming our way."

>Proficiency ??? revealed: Disparos de Reyes Bandidos(Adept Level atrophied to Beginner, +1 modifier to handgun shots to vital areas and weak points. This is the way of gunslinging taught to you by your father, it's easier and quicker to improve as well as regain the skill with it you've let rust away. Translation: Shots of Kings Bandits or Shots of Reyes Bandits)

You lower your gun and blink at the broken mirror in front of you.

It's shattered glass reflects and distorts your image into something unrecognizable.

A laugh escapes your lips as you turn back to the warehouse ladders.

The six sleepy heads are awake and staring at you as you do.

You walk past them to the ladders before turning back to face their staring eyes.

"Go back to sleep."

They blink at you as you hop down to the base floor.
>>
>(3/3)

Marcus, Itsuki, Ren, Jesus, and Alex are by the ladders when you land.

You raise a hand that stops them from asking you any questions and turn to the middle-aged Japanese man.

"Itsuki, lead us to your car. No taxi's going to pick us up and I can't hop all of us to where we need to go"

The Buddhist nods, turns, and begins to make his way out of the warehouse.

You follow his lead and wave to your lieutenants behind you to do the same.

Curious recruits stare at your team as you exit the warehouse.

Some give out cheers while others look more confused as to what precisely is happening.

The hardened members of your gang are wisely more concerned about the gunshots they heard than the gang leadership doing what you pretty much always do: heading out to take care of shit.

You follow Itsuki to the corner of your street where a lone Cadillac mini-van is parked.

"Here we are, Reyes-sama. There are six seats to fit you and your men as well as I if need be."

A hum rumbles in your throat.

Alright I need sleep sincerely in working the early shift tomorrow. In case it isn't obvious have Itsuki drop us, Jesus, and Alex off nearby and out of sight so we can start hunting and get Jesus in a good spot.

For Itsuki and Marcus, ideally would be getting in the parking garage in case kingpin tries to flee by vehicle, but watching the garage exit from nearby and out of sight also works.

As much fun as it'd be to see how Alex and Marcus react to Jesus' insane turns, you'd much rather get to where you need to go without getting into another high-speed pursuit.

"Well, get in the driver's seat. Someone has to do it and I don't think I want Jesus to anytime soon. But first go back to the warehouse and throw on a vest. If you're coming with, you're going to need some protection just in case."

Itsuki nods his head and walks past you towards the warehouse.

By your side, Marcus raises an eyebrow at you.

"So, you gonna tell us what those gunshots were about or did you just feel like testing out your aim on something? Please don't tell me you shot up those sleeping beauties upstairs: that's going to be a bitch even for you to justify to the fresh meat."

You frown.

"I don't have to justify anything to anyone but I didn't kill those tired sobs. Maybe I'll tell you after Kingpin's dead; just not now."

Marcus blinks at you.

"Oh fuck, you're finally going to tell me aren't you? There's only one thing that makes you act this way to me."

You breathe in and sigh.

"Maybe. Probably...Definitely, there's going to be a lot of people asking me about it in the next few weeks or maybe even months so I'd rather tell you the full story before I have to tell some bullshit PR nonsense a dozen times."

The two female lieutenants in your organization observe the you and your best friend with curious eyes.

Alex is the one who says what's on both of their minds.

"What are you guys talking about?"

You tilt your head and hum.

"Eh, you'll find out in about a week or a month."

"...That doesn't exactly answer my question."

A smile makes its way onto your face.

"It wasn't supposed to."
>>
>(2/2)

Five minutes of silence pass until Itsuki comes back with a military grade carrier vest covering the torso of his suit.

He walks to the opposite side of the vehicle, fishes a set of keys out of his suit pockets, unlocks and opens the driver's seat door, presses down on a button that makes the doors of the car click, and waves for your crew to come in.

You open the passenger's seat door and groan as the scent of sulfur flows out while the others take the side door.

Itsuki's ancestral demon blade rests on one side laying on the passenger's seat and the other laying on the driver's seat. The energies it exudes are toxic and smell horrible yet feel appetizing. Whether or not it contains a soul of some sort is unknown to you so long as you peer at it with your material eyes.

The Buddhist man hums a mantra before moving the blade down to the car floor.

"Please be careful not to step on it, Reyes-sama. If the sword breaks, the oni inside will run free to rampage throughout the world."

You blink at the Japanese man before taking your seat.

"You should find a good place to hide it then."

Itsuki shakes his head and takes his seat behind the wheel.

"Other oni and those who worship them will come for the blade if I am not near. I have tried to do so in the past but have found it safer to simply cut down those who approach me for it and let my reputation drive those too cowardly away."

A hum rumbles in your throat.

Seems as though Itsuki's had plenty of experience dealing with the supernatural. He's likely never encountered anything on the level of the Pheonix or the cosmic personification of death but he's probably seen some shit. Could be something to pry into later.

You and Itsuki both close your respective front doors of the car.

Glancing behind your seat, you see Alex close the side door of the car before taking a seat in the far back of the mini-van. Ren, Marcus, and Jesus are sitting in the middle set of seats with their weapons either pointed down or up to conserve space.

A grin spreads across your face as you turn back to face the road.

"Where to, Reyes-sama?" Itsuki asks.

Your grin widens.

No sense deviating from the plan now or playing around with your third eye. A team name is unnecessary and stupid despite how superficially cool it would be. There's no need for you to check how many rounds are still in your Tomcat; you'll only need one if you decide to finish things with Kingpin personally.

"Drive to the upper east side of Manhattan to East 62nd street: we need ghost boy to get into position before we enact the master plan."

Itsuki nods his head, inserts his keys into the ignition, starts the car, and begins the drive to Wesley's street.

Over half an hour goes by until you reach the street Wesley lives on.

"This is the place." you say. "Keep driving until we're near a townhouse with an ornate door. I'll go out alone and bring in ghost boy in Wesley's suicide body on account of being the least inconspicuous looking person in the crew for once."

It doesn't take long for the mini-van to stop outside Wesley's home.

You tuck away your tomcat, open the passenger's seat door, and step out of the car.

A sigh of relief escapes your lips as you take in the fresh energized air.

The sun is no longer shining above you and has begun its descent.

Kingpin will die before it sets and you will rise in the twilight to signal the coming of a new age.

Grinning, you enter the home of the soon-to-be departed James Wesley.

Just a few feet away from the front door sits the possessed middle-aged pervert wearing a coat over a formal vest with somewhat of a bulge at his stomach. In his hands, is a remote with a bright red button on its top.
>>

He looks up from the detonator in his hands to blink at you.

"Is it time?"

You nod.

"Soon no more riding in the bodies of bondage loving perverts for you...At least for a while."

Felon groans.

"Come on, man."

You laugh before holding out your hand.

Felon walks over to you and gives you the detonator.

"Please don't blow me up until after I'm out of him. I don't know if I can die in someone but I really don't want to find out."

You shrug.

So long as there's the slightest chance Felon could remember the conversation you two had about your father, you couldn't give a fuck if he somehow lived after completing his part in your plan.

"No promises."

The body-snatcher gives you a look before you turn and lead him outside.

"Can you at least pick up my body so I don't have to fly all the way back here to get it?"

A hum rumbles in your throat as you look to the rooftop you left Felon's unconscious body on.

There's probably enough room in the car for it but you'd much rather leave him there for a while and come back to him tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, presuming his bitch ass is still alive. Even if you bring it with you, there's no guarantee Alex won't slit his throat out of boredom or confusion as to how his astral projection works. Might even be good to break its neck to kill Felon ahead of time so he doesn't say anything about your father or bitch to you about some low-life coke whore.

Despite how annoying Felon is, he has his potential uses. Killing him now or killing his body at least will take away those uses. Fetching the body isn't much of a hassle even if he might die in Wesley's.

You hop from the entrance of the townhouse to the rooftop you left Felon's body on.

As you grab a hold of the mutant's shoulder, you feel a strange absence of anything inside him.

The only energy in the hollow meat puppet is the air it breaths in and the toxins it spews out.

It's shining blue essence filled with memories is swimming through your new ocean, wandering your new forest, flying in your new sky, and toiling your new domain.

You close all three of your eyes and shake your head free of your ravenous thoughts.

Despite essentially being you, it feels as though your soul is another existence entirely; whether or not that's normal is unknown to you.

You breathe in, sigh, and hop from the rooftop back to Felon with his empty meat puppet in hand.

"Got you." You hold up Felon's body and give it a shake. "Let's go."

The body-snatcher gives off an offended cry before following you to the mini-van.

You wave Felon's body in the direction of the passenger seat door and knock on the side door with the other end of your detonator.

Felon opens the passenger seat door as Ren opens the side door for you.

You glance at the mutant as he moves to take his seat.

"Be careful getting in, there's a sword on the ground that could release a demon if you break it."

Felon stops and blinks at you.

"Wait, what?"

You cluck your tongue.

"Bitch, you heard me."

You enter the min-van, motion for Alex to move herself back, take her seat, and place Felon between the two of you.

Ren closes the side door as soon as your done.

Alex glances at the body and raises herself up to look at Felon before turning to you.

"Who are these guys, boss?"

Marcus turns back in his middle seat to face the three of you.

"Obviously that guy is ghost boy and the guy who just walked into the passenger's seat is ghost boy in James Wesley's body."

Alex drawls out an oh at Marcus and turns to you.

"So what's his actual name?"

A grin spreads across your face.
