You are Kojo Reyes, mutant crime lord/prince and soon-to-be Kingpin in about twenty to thirty minutes.

In the span of about thirty-six hours you've bent as well as broken almost every other major player in New York City's underworld, met two cosmic beings of unlimited power, achieved some form of spiritual enlightenment, and set in motion a master plan to overthrow the Kingpin.

There's no going back for you now, not that you want to.

All of this has been a long time coming: it's in your nature to dominate, subjugate, and ravage.

Only question is, what will the future hold for you when all this is done?

>[X] "I'll tell you later. Itsuki, drive us to the Baccarat Hotel in Midtown on West 53rd Street."

>(1/2)

Laughing at Felon's retarded street name can wait for a more appropriate time when or if he dies in the coming hour; you've got shit to do.

"I'll tell you later. Itsuki, drive us to the Baccarat Hotel in Midtown on West 53rd Street."

"Hai, Reyes-sama." the Japanese man says.

The mini-van accelerates and takes off.

Itsuki drives along 62nd street into fifth avenue.

Ten minutes of driving through traffic pass by until you reach the fifth avenue and 54th street intersection.

Your grin widens.

It's time.

"I'm getting off here to get the sniper hunting started. Alex and Jesus, you're coming with me. Itsuki, drop off ghost boy near the Baccarat Hotel and drive into the parking garage. Alex, Jesus, and I will cover the penthouse while the other three of you secure the garage in case the suicide bombing doesn't take out Kingpin or the elevators."

The five experienced criminals give off hums of obedience while your rookie mutant stays silent.

"Wait," Felon calls out from his seat, "what about the detonator? How are you going to know when to set it off without being nearby? Come to think of it, isn't this place too crowded to get off on in all that gear? Shouldn't we drive to somewhere more out of sight?"

A laugh escapes your lips.

"We're in Midtown fucking Manhattan in broad daylight, someone is bound to see us wherever we drop off. I can hop to the top of a skyscraper before anyone can take pictures or call the police."

"But what about the detonator?"

You let out a thoughtful hum.

James Wesley's unlikely to be immediately shot to death by Kingpin's security so Felon could press down on the detonator but he's likely going to hesitate and give them a window to put one in Wesley's head. He does raise a good point, though; you have no way of knowing when you should set the detonator if you choose to keep it on you. You could have someone risk their lives by going in to set off the detonator or trust in Felon.

Not a single inkling of you trusts Felon but if he manages to fuck his part up you still have the hotel locked down.

>[ ] "Marcus, give this detonator to ghost boy."
>[ ] "Alright. Alex, get out of your gear and go in with Wesley: you're the most expendable one here besides ghost boy.

I know what you're capable of more than anyone else in this world. I wouldn't be putting you in this position if I didn't have absolute trust in you. Don't let me down."
>[ ] "Alright. Ren, get out of your gear and go in with Wesley: this is your chance to really prove yourself as my new second-in-command.
>[ ] "Alright. Itsuki, get out of your gear and go in with Wesley after you park in the garage: you pledged me your life and I intent to use you as I see fit but don't think I'm wasting it. Come back alive."

>[X] "From the moment I see you walk in, you've got five minutes to get to Kingpin. Try to get him onto the balcony or near a huge Penthouse window if you can."

>(1/2)

Bitch ass Felon is likely to fuck up and you don't want to risk any of your inner circle's lives. It'd be easy for you to spy on Felon walking in from a nearby rooftop or maybe even test out the strange omniscience you have when using only third eye to perceive. The latter could be helpful scouting out the snipers as well while the former is bound to get yourself spotted and shot.

"From the moment I see you walk in, you've got five minutes to get to Kingpin. Try to get him onto the balcony or near a huge Penthouse window if you can."

"Alright," Felon says, "but those snipers are going to see you hopping around."

You roll your three eyes and stow away the detonator into your pocket.

He doesn't know about your new perspective but he has the awareness of his namesake.

"No shit. You just worry about getting to Kingpin and we'll do our jobs while you do yours."

Taking hold of Felon's meat puppet, you slide it into your seat to make room for Alex as you rise. A step takes you from the back seats to the right side-door of the mini-van. Jesus, carrying the OSV with its barrel pointed to the roof of the vehicle, brushes past Marcus and Ren to your left side while Alex takes her place at your right.

A grin once again spreads across your face before you open the door.

You step out of the car with your two lieutenants at your sides and wrap an arm around both of them as the sea of passer-bys slows down to stare.

One cement and bone cracking jump is all you need to launch yourself towards the roof of a nearby skyscraper.

Jesus doesn't let out so much as a whimper while Alex voices out a thrilled cry.

Snickering, you tighten your grip on your lieutenants.

"Brace yourselves: this is going to hurt me more than it hurts you!"

The two lieutenants do as you command, drawing an air current muffled groan from you.

Soon you'll never have to do this again.
>>
>(2/2)

Your acceleration slowly decelerates as the skyscraper's roof comes closer.

Eventually, you pass far over the roof edge as you near a complete stop in the air; you make sure to turn to the sky before you do.

"Now loosen up and grab just my hands if you don't feel like breaking your bones!" you yell.

They once again follow your orders and leave one of their hands gripping their individual sides of yours.

You briefly wonder if Ren would've hesitated before gravity begins to pull you down.

As you descend, you casually swing both Jesus and Alex into the air above you.

The cement roof caves in around your form encasing you in it and leaving a small crater sloping down to you without collapsing the actual rooftop.

Your grip on your lieutenants loosen as you once again feel a disconnect between your brain and your spine.

Thankfully, they're already in the process of swinging back to you when you do.

Jesus and Alex land on opposite sides of your crater with thuds as well as grunts.

Alex lifts herself up, AK-103 in hand, and blinks down at you.

"...Daaamn, boss. Just how fucking strong are you?"

You try your best to shrug but can only sigh.

"I honestly have no clue. Now, keep your head down. There could snipers nearby who saw that."

Alex nods and lays herself down on the rooftop.

To your left, you see Jesus waiting for your orders.

The air currents this high up are strong enough to possibly carry the scents of other people on nearby rooftops. Oxygen's new energizing smell will help you recognize the scents thanks to your third eye. If they're not strong enough to place a location, you can check with your third eye and point them out to Jesus when you're done.

You close all of your eyes and take in the surrounding air through your nose.

Besides the familiar bloody scents of your lieutenants, are several distinct yet uniform scents reminiscent of the Bratva hit squads you've slaughtered originating from somewhere far enough to elude you of their precise location but close enough to not completely fade. Four or more of them are somewhere nearby. They're obviously mercenaries likely equipped with gear to match your lieutenants' own, which would be a problem if confronted directly.

Worst case scenario: they're Bratva men but that's unlikely considering none of them smell Russian to you.

Opening your eyes, you hum to yourself before glancing at Jesus.

You're going to do some scouting of your own with your third eye but it couldn't hurt to have Jesus do some of his own in case you fuck up playing with something you don't understand.

"Jesus, spy on the nearby rooftops through the scope of the OSV. Be careful about the lens, though, don't want snipers catching your scope shining if they're looking."

The Colombian nods his head and, still prone, crawls out of the crater with his OSV at his side.

You close your material eyes and peer out into the world with your third.

At first you exist only in a globe surrounding the rooftop, the sky around it, and the floor of the building below it.

You spread that which is you to expand more but are reeled back by the vessel of flesh you inhabit.

It does not mean to do so as it is but meat however robust.

That which is you is pulling yourself back to it.

You do not mean to do so but you cannot help to do so.

Souls like your own and those tasty blue who surround you form in the meat hence are drawn to it.

However, that which is you will not hold back that which you will.

You expand in all directions until that which you will is despite yearning the comfort of flesh.

All is clear to you now: the Fourteen Sentinels of the False King, the Bright One with his scorching prison blade, the Sacrifice being ridden to his doom by the Strange One, the Bound One, the One Most Dearest, and the False King himself.

Opening your material eyes, you blink at the sky.

There are seven mercenaries spaced out on the roofs of skyscrapers on your block all facing the Baccarat Hotel. None of them have noticed you yet and only two could see you from here. Jesus could kill them from this rooftop but one of them will be seen getting sniped by two others. Seven other men are on a parallel block all facing the Baccarat hotel. All of their positions are meant to take care of anyone storming the place. Kingpin probably hasn't taken account supers that could get on these rooftops unnoticed considering he frequently employs them.

Felon, Marcus, Ren, and Itsuki are still in the car.

A grin spreads across your face.

Your new eye is pretty useful despite how much of a mindfuck it is looking out with it.

As much as projecting your soul from your voluptuous albeit broken body sounds good right now, you're better off waiting for it to heal so you can get on with your side of the master plan. There's no telling what will happen if you manage to somehow make your ravenous soul leave your body. Possession might just be a thing normal blue souled people like Felon can do. You might be capable of ripping people's souls out or something.

You lay still for half a minute until the blond girl by your side shoots you an odd look that draws your attention.

"Why are you still laying in there?" Alex asks.

You raise an eyebrow at her.

"I broke my spine. Did you not hear the splintering of bone when I landed?"

Alex's eyes widen.

"Wait, you can actually get hurt by that kind of thing? I thought it was just knives."

You nod your head slightly, cracking the cement encasement.

Blinking, you try to move but can only somewhat move your head.

A sigh escapes your lips as you rest your head on the roof.

The blond minx giggles.

You raise your head from the roof and glare at her.

She in turn lowers her head apologetically.

"Sorry, boss."

You lay yours back down on the roof and stare up at the sky with all three eyes open.

Everything is brighter than it usually is thanks to your immaterial eye. The clouds, the air, and the sun all gleam with their own unique energies creating a tapestry no painter could ever put on paper. It's more beautiful than it was when you couldn't see the world as it is. You can't help but wonder what your third eye really is, however. Whether it's a gift from the Phoenix, Death, or something everyone has that you just stumbled on after meeting both cosmic entities and encountering someone who could astrally project. Most likely that last one but it could've been in their intentions for you all along. Only time will tell though.
>>
>(2/2)

"Patron, I've spotte-"

Not bothering to look at the crawling lieutenant, you cut him off.

"Don't shoot either of them, Jesus, your bullets are valuable; plus, now that I think about it the sound of the rifle going off will alert the guy on the Christian Siranio boutique if you're not taking him out which is going to alert two other guys. Alex and I are going to take care of them silently. We'll get the boutique guy after we're done killing the man on the Sheldon Funding Corporation building and that guy on the skyscraper near Warwick New York."

Alex and Jesus blink at you.

"...Boss, how do you know where those guys are when you've been in that you shaped crater for the three minutes we've been up here?"

You shrug through the enveloping concrete before performing a kip-up back to your feet.

"I'll probably tell everyone in the inner circle some other time but I doubt you'd all believe me if I told you."

Alex gives you another look that morphs into surprise when you lift her up.

You walk her to the edge of the rooftop and point down to the roof of a normal building on 53rd street.

"The other guy Jesus spotted is right there on top of The Modern. Boutique guy on a rooftop someways below us is spying on the Baccarat Hotel through his scope so he won't notice if we take him out close and silent."

Alex squints her eyes down at The Modern before grinning and nodding at you.

You grin back, wrap an arm around her waist, and leap down several different rooftops to the Modern.

The landing is smoother than your previous one and far away enough from the sniper's edge of the rooftop to hear.

Alex hands you her AK and brandishes one of her new combat knives when you let go of her.

You watch the blond minx stalk her way to the other end of the rooftop.

She pounces on the prone man when she gets close enough, slits his throat, and slashes numerous other vital areas of his to speed up the mercenary's demise.

A hum rumbles in your throat as you look to the Baccarat Hotel.

Felon could be inside right now or making his way in; you could wait to see him from here if you wanted to or easily check with your third eye.

>[X] Close your material eyes and look for Felon with your third.
>[X] Have Alex kill the rest of the snipers on this side of the block.

You'd be wasting time waiting for a sign of Felon and effort not just going the easy route.

Closing your material eyes, you spread out into the world through your third.

The Strange One is just off the Bright One's ferry leading the Sacrifice to the tower of the False King.

You open your eyes, blink, and hum.

Felon will be inside the building by the time you reach the next target.

Alex is a quarter of a way to you before you clear the distance with a hop.

You once again take hold of your lieutenant with your free arm and make your way to the next sniper.

The leaps you make are careful to avoid the line of sight Kingpin's mercenaries have.

Much like the last time, you land on the building of the Sheldon Funding Corporation far away enough to not rouse the mercenary.

You let go off Alex, point her to the sniper, and look back up to the Baccarat Hotel while the blond girl does her thing.

Felon's on his two minute timer now. It's not enough time for Alex alone kill everyone on this side of the block. Even if she did, the greatest vantage point is on the other side of the block with one of the seven other snipers. Kingpin's in his penthouse at the moment and it's likely going to take Felon more than two minutes to get to him. Your body snatching rookie could blow out the elevators though. However, any explosion you set off is likely going to make the snipers go on high alert and start scouting for enemies on the rooftops.

It might be good to get some assassinating of your own in to speed things up.

Alex isn't as mobile as we are. We could point out the snipers she needs to take out, leave her to it while we go take out the others. By the time the action unfolds, Alex should be killing the last couple snipers anyhow. The big problem is the lack of mobility - Alex is gonna have to get down from the rooftop through the building, leave out into the streets, navigate to the right building, find a way in, go ALL the way to the rooftop without being caught, kill the sniper, then do this ALL OVER AGAIN LIKE HOW MANY MORE TIMES.
Should have taken the time to kill all the snipers first before doing the Felon bait part of the plan, but this way everything happens all at once. The confusion will benefit us in the aftermath.

May as well help speed things along: you don't exactly have all day.

You turn to the skyscraper by Warwick New York and hop from rooftop to rooftop closer to it.

The moment your feet touch the roof cement of the building closest to the skyscraper, you bend your knees and leap up.

Instead of falling on the roof of the skyscraper, you grab onto the parapet with your free hand before gravity can bring you down.

A prone man in black army camo is by the left edge of the rooftop when you lift yourself up; he doesn't take notice to you and keeps staring at the Baccarat Hotel through the scope of his rifle.

Sniffing reveals the man to be in his mid thirties and German.

You stroll over to the mercenary, grin, raise a foot, and stomp it down on his back. The man's spine cracks and breaks along with his internal organs without putting up any resistance against your overwhelming force. A choked cry escapes the man's lips before he falls limp. For added measure, you kick the man onto his broken back and crush his throat with another stomp.

A laugh escapes your lips as you look back to where you left Alex.

She seems to be cutting a smiley face on the man she just murdered with a gleeful smile of her own.

Three down, four to go.

You hop back down to the building you leaped off of and hop back to the blond minx.

Alex is giggling when you land by her.

"I was waiting for you to come back. Like what I did to him?" She flourishes a hand over the maimed face of the dead man.

Grinning, you nod your head.

"He looks better that way."

The blond raises an eyebrow at you.

"Does that mean you've seen him without it before?"

You blink at Alex.

"...I'll explain later; we've got four more of these guys to take out near here and seven on the other side of the block."

Alex nods her head slowly at you before you wrap your free arm around her waist.

She's smarter or at least more aware than you give her credit for.
>>
>(2/2)

You turn to the direction of the boutique and take off.

Like before, you land on the roof of the boutique building without a fuss.

A quick sniff of the air reveals the merc to be a black man in his forties.

You let go of Alex and look to the buildings on the opposite street.

There's one man on the Museum Tower Condominium, one on the Currency Exchange International building, and one on the skyscraper by the gap store.

Only one of those was on a map you used to go over; the rest you know from what you've "seen" with your third eye.

You jump to the roof you originally landed on, wave at a prone Jesus who waves back, and leap across the street to the gap store building.

Another leap launches you from the roof of the gap store towards the roof of the skyscraper.

Once again, you grasp the roof parapet with your free hand before gravity can pull you back.

You see the sniper on the other end of the roof when you lift yourself up.

Sniffing reveals him to be a Spaniard in his late twenties.

A grin spreads across your face as you walk behind his prone form.

You "lightly" stomp a foot down on his spine, point at the back of his head with a finger, and pull your arm back. The man can only let out a wheeze before you stab your finger through his skull and into his brain. His body twitches and spasms as you playfully move your braining finger in circles.

Taking your finger out of the man's skull with zero effort, you take a moment to admire your handiwork before looking up at the Baccarat Hotel.

Felon's two minutes should be more or less up by now.

It might be good to save the detonation for later unless he's bailed from Wesley's body or has gotten detained by security.

Only two snipers left on this side, seven on the other side. As much as I would want to clean up the rest, double-checking for unexpected fuckups on the inside of the hotel is priority. If Felon isn't at the elevators or right at Kingpin, blowing him up is a waste of our ace.

>[X] Close your material eyes and check Felon's current position with your third.

Of course you're going to check on him with your third eye. Detonating Felon possessed Wesley, despite having a magical surefire method of locating him, would've been the most reckless thing you had ever done besides that time you told the cosmic personification of Death you were going to find a way to kill her one day. You did tear yourself open one time to see what that new stiff feeling in your abdomen was but that could hardly compare to the level of thoughtlessness in those two decisions.

Closing your material eyes, you take in the world with your third.

The Bright One, the Bound One, and the One Most Dearest are in position at the metal carriage lot of the False King's Tower.

In the False King's tower, the Strange One and the Sacrifice are by the tower's lift. Four of the False King's retinue surround them. One guards the lift while the other three close off their means of escape. They do not think of the Strange One and the Sacrifice as enemies but watch with confused, blind meat eyes. The Strange One in the Sacrifice is nervous and afraid.

You open your material eyes and narrow them.

Felon managed to get to the elevator but couldn't get in before being stopped by Kingpin's men; he's likely too nervous to stay in Wesley's body long enough to get in the elevator or act his way well enough to get past the guards.

Setting off the explosive now would render the elevator inoperable but you won't get to blow up Kingpin with it.

A hum rumbles in your throat.

Besides being an opportunity for Felon to prove his worth, the suicide bombing is your ace in the whole; it'd be a waste to not wait it out and see if he can get to Kingpin. You haven't exactly looked out with your third eye for extended periods of time but it can't hurt to try. It wasn't that hard for you to stretch your "view" over the entire block so this should be easier.

You close your material eyes and peer out into the world with your third once again.

The Strange One and the False King's retinue are as they were only with the Strange One parting the lips of the Sacrifice's meat puppet.

What you understand to be three seconds passes by before he moves them again and you feel the urge to return to your vessel become unbearable.

You open your material eyes as your third eye slams shut.

A pulsing ache burns in your skull and courses through your very being.

Growling, you try to open your third eye again to no avail.

The sensation you're feeling now is reminiscent of times you've torn off your own limbs and fingers only magnified to your entire body.

You breathe in the calming air and breathe out until you regain focus on the Baccarat Hotel.

Whatever Felon's doing now to try and get past the guards, you can't observe which means even if he success you won't be able to see him if he manages to get to Kingpin.

Right now might be the only chance you'll get at marooning him but that will alert the snipers that are still alive.

A sigh escapes your lips.

Everything was going so well for you so far.

>[X] Give Felon five more minutes.
>[X] Take care of the last two snipers on this side of the block.

>(1/2)

You don't need bullet-holes in two of your lieutenants and quite possibly yourself. If Felon can't get to Kingpin in five minutes or pass by the guards, so be it. Whether by land or even sky if the fatass decides to call in a corporate chopper you're going to kill him. Securing the rooftops for Jesus to get a shot in is your main priority now to fully secure the skies.

A back-flip takes you from the dead sniper's end of the building to the other one you lifted yourself onto.

Looking down to where you left Alex, you see the blond minx crouching by the boutique sniper's corpse and shaving his head with one of her knives.

You raise an eyebrow, hop down to the roof of the gap store, and leap across to the boutique rooftop.

Alex looks up to greet you with a curious expression.

"Isn't it weird how great black people rock the bald look?" She turns back down to the dead man and runs a hand over what's left of his hair. "I can't even imagine how Marcus would look like with hair."

A warm laugh escapes your lips as an old picture of a young Marcus pops into mind.

The blond girl shoots you a mischievous look before you lift her to her feet and wrap your free arm around her waist.

"What, did Marcus used to have funny hair or did you just picture him with an afro?"
>>
>(2/2)

You burst into a fit of laughter.

"He used to have an afro!"

Alex blinks at you before breaking out in a fit of laughter and wrapping her arms around your torso.

You bury her head into your chest to muffle her giggling and leap towards the roof of the Museum Tower.

Nearing the back edge of the roof and the end of your jump, you reach out to the roof edge with your free arm before using it to swing yourself on top of the roof itself.

You let go of Alex and look over to the Currency Exchange rooftop just three buildings away.

The mercenary is in view staring at the baccarat hotel through the scope of his rifle like all the others.

A simple jump takes you to the roof of the skyscraper where you hop into the air over the sniper and stomp his head into mush in your descent.

You sigh as you look at the Baccarat Hotel.

Seven more snipers left and three minutes, thirty seconds left before Felon goes kaboom.

You could kill the last seven snipers or just place Jesus on the best vantage point in this side of the block. He won't have a clear shot on Kingpin in his penthouse but he could probably take care of him if he tried to leave in a helicopter. A lot less work for you and Alex but that's running on the assumption that the elevator is blown to shit or he's spooked enough to try escaping by air of all things.

>[ ] Take care of the other seven snipers.
>[ ] Detonate the explosive now, Felon could still be trying to talk his way through into the elevator which you could blow up if he isn't detained already.
>[ ] Wait three minutes and thirty seconds now before detonating the C4 on Felon.

>(1/2)

You have contingencies in place through Silvio's men, yourself and Jesus, and the rest of your inner circle in the Baccarat Hotel's garage. Felon may get detained but that's likely to spook Kingpin into one of the three contingencies. If he isn't spooked, you can give him a nice scare by detonating the C4 if he doesn't have anyone on sight disarm it. Best for you to be patient and stick with the master plan: with all snipers dead, Kingpin will really have no chance of living to see the sunset.

Turning to your left, you see Alex finish slitting the other sniper's throat on the nearby rooftop.

A single leap clears the distance between you and her.

She uses the twitching man's carrier vest to wipe clean her bloodied knife before she wraps her arms around your torso.

You jump back to your previous location and leap over a street to the skyscraper's side onto the roof of a smaller building.

Jumping straight across the Baccarat Hotel's street to the other side would likely get you spotted and shot while taking your current route would allow you to take care of the snipers without making a noise.

You hop across and onto different rooftops until you circumnavigate your way to the tower parallel to the Currency Exchange building, the Neuberger Berman headquarters.

Landing on the side of the company roof, you look down to Alex and nod.

The blond minx grins before letting go of your body.

You turn back, walk to the edge of the roof, and look down at a crouching sniper on the corner of the roof of the Radio City Music Hall.

A grins spreads across your face as you hop down by his side.

The man jumps at the sound of your landing before turning to point his rifle at you.

By the time the barrel nears your AK holding left arm, the fingers of your free hand are already digging into his skull.

You tug the man's corpse towards you to make sure he doesn't make a red splatter on the ground and to pull your fingers free.

Jumping back to the firm company's roof, you hear and see Alex whistling a tune by the twitching body of her new victim.
>>
>(2/2)

The blond girl walks up to you and holds onto your voluptuous form once again.

You are both grateful and surprised she hasn't tried to grope you the entire time you've been hopping her around.

Hopping back down to the Radio City Hall, you glance at the sniper on top of the Chase bank roof by the office building and hop down to a lower rooftop before leaping onto the bank roof.

You signal for Alex to do her thing and look back at the towering Equinox Rockefeller Center by the atlas monument.

One hop takes you to the rooftop of the neighboring W. P. Carey Incorporated where you launch yourself up to the center's roof.

You take a hold of the roof parapet with your free hand and swing yourself over the small wall of cement.

Crouching by the center roof edge with his rifle set on the parapet is yet another sniper overlooking the Baccarat Hotel.

You hop over to him and force his head down into the miniature cement wall in your descent.

The bottom half of his jaw is jutting through his flesh when you finish him off by slamming his forehead into the cracked parapet, shattering both of them.

You turn to your right at the Onassis Cultural center and leap across the street onto the roof of the slightly larger skyscraper.

Like the other sniper, this one is crouched and has his rifle set on the roof parapet.

You stroll behind him, jab a finger through his spinal cord, and grab onto his rifle when it threatens to fall over the edge.

From here and the Rockefeller Center you have a clear line of sight to the last two snipers but unlike the center you have a slanted view of the penthouse.

It's been about two minutes which means Felon has a minute and a half left.

You can try out your non-existant sniping skills and kill both men with the rifle, lay in wait for Kingpin, do both, or just finish them off the old fashioned way.

Despite being a chance to touch up on your marksmanship, it's a really bad idea to do that now of all times. A part of you also wants to make an over-dramatic and ridiculous entrance so superficially badass that Kingpin would be too stupefied to run away when he sees it but that's just not your style; plus, the two snipers would see you doing that kind of stunt from where they're posted. Best for you to be patient and stick with the beautiful fucking master plan your supreme self devised: you'd be insulting yourself if you let your impatience get the better of you.

You let go of the sniper rifle but change your grip to the barrel of the rifle before it can fall.

One jump takes you to the smaller skyscraper by 3 West Club.

A grin spreads across your face when you see the stationed mercenary.

You hop over to the sniper crouching by the corner roof edge and swing the butt of the rifle through his skull like a baseball bat through the air when you land.

The man's rifle falls back following his body to the cement roof.

You jump over to the roof of the skyscraper behind the Paley Center For Media before the corpse can even hit the ground.

The grin on your face widens.

Letting go of the rifle, you change your hold to the dented and cracked rifle stock when you land.
>>
>(2/2)

A whistle escapes your lips before you charge at the last sniper.

The man turns his rifle to you but can't get a shot off before you ram the barrel through the glass of his scope, into his eye, and out the other side of his head.

You let the damaged rifle fall back with the man and sigh in relief.

Looking up to the penthouse of the Baccarat hotel, you let out a small laugh that quickly grows into a fit of laughter.

There's no escape Kingpin has left now.

It's actually happening: you're going to become the new Kingpin in the next few minutes if that's what you really want to go by.

Felon's the only factor of your plan left unchecked now besides the actual killing of Kingpin; he has at least a minute left. It might be good to try your third eye again even if you can still feel the burning sensation albeit faintly.

You could break into Kingpin's penthouse without any resistance from the now dead snipers and take care of him how you see fit or continue sticking with the plan and let him fall into your web.

Nothing Kingpin has to say about your father is worth hearing, best to stick with the plan. Alex is usually best when she's in a position to do nothing or under supervision so either is good but Jesus could use the company or possibly back up if Kingpin calls guys with grappling hooks or a super. As for your third eye, may as well: it's not like what happened before is likely to happen again and Felon's location is still a concern.

You close your material eyes and, with some difficulty, open your third.

That which is you spreads out into a smaller portion of the world than what you usually can exist in for but an instant before the yearning pull of your healing flesh puppet drags that which is you back into it; the Foxy One swinging her legs over the black paths with a defaced meat puppet by her side is all you "see".

Once again, you open your eyes as your third one slams shut and let out a pained snarl.

It feels as it did beforehand only with the added agony familiar to someone having applied pressure onto a broken limb just amplified to your very being.

Whatever happened to you broke a part of you off and forcing yourself to look through your third eye again made it even worse; it's likely going to take some time before you can use your third eye again. Maybe it'll be a few days or possibly weeks to months like a flatscan. Only time will tell.

You breathe in the soothing, blissful air until the pain becomes manageable for you.

A groan escapes your lips before you hop down to the roof of the Club Quarters Hotel and take another hop down to the roof of the Chase bank.
>>
>(2/2)

The blond girl perks up at the sound of your muffled landing, rises, and turns to you as you take another hop towards her.

"Did you kill the rest without me?" She pouts her blood stained lips.

You roll your eyes and hand back the AK the girl had left with you.

She stows away her knife with the others in the waistband of her spunky boy pants before taking the assault rifle out of your hands.

Wrapping an arm around Alex's waist, you turn to the direction of the roof you left Jesus on and take off.

You cut through the Baccarat Hotel's street to the other side of the block free of the threat of sniper fire.

Jesus rises from his prone position on the cement roof when you land.

Securing him with your other arm, you turn back to the direction of the Equinox Center and take off once again.

You let go of both of your lieutenants when you finish your rooftop hopping to the top of the skyscraper.

Jesus immediately gets into position, ignoring the corpse of the dead sniper, and sets his OSV onto the undamaged part of the roof parapet.

Alex, on the other hand, crouches down by the corpse and admires your handiwork.

You walk to Jesus' left side, look over to the Baccarat Hotel, and grin.

Felon's time is up and everyone is in position.

It's go time.

Couldn't hurt to ask: there's always the slightest possibility Felon actually managed to calm himself down, talk his way past the guards, and is waiting in the penthouse living room for Kingpin to get his fat ass out of his bamboo workout clothes. Still, you're definitely going to blow up Wesley even if Felon's still in him. The bondage loving fuck can't live through this or else he can jeopardize your entire inheritance portion of the plan as well as the story your trying to frame.

"Jesus, can you see anyone in the penthouse?"

Without looking at you, the Colombian answers.

"Si, patron: the man you have in James Wesley is sitting down at a table surrounded by some armed men, likely Kingpin's."

You stare at the Baccarat Hotel before letting out a hum.

Felon either manged to do it or bailed and let a confused Wesley be dragged to Kingpin's penthouse to answer why he's there.

Either way, it doesn't really matter: Wesley's body is in the position you want it to be.

A grin spreads across your face as you take the detonator out from your pocket, hold it towards the Baccarat Hotel, and press your thumb down on the bright red button.
>>
>(2/2)

...

...

You blink at the detonator in your hand and press down on the red button several more times before crushing it into scrap.

Scowling, you throw the pieces of the detonator off the side of the rooftop.

Of course Kingpin had men that know how to disable plastic explosives, he's a fucking billionaire that can hire whoever he wants with whatever skills they can provide. The fatass likely just hired your father because he was good at what he did and probably didn't ask for much moving from small-time to big-time. He'd toss all of those men of his to the wolves just like your father when they'd serve their use and replace them with all that money you're going to have in the next few days.

You take a deep breath to calm yourself down and glare at the Baccarat Hotel.

The contingencies you've set up are still in play. Kingpin's still going to die by your will and machinations, which is definitely going to make up for the dissatisfaction you feel right now and then some. Only problem is whatever way you kill Wesley now, it's likely going to be harder to sell the story you had in mind.

>[X] Wait for Kingpin to fall into your web.

Slow and steady wins the race; you've already decided Kingpin's fate.

You take a breath of the mystical air and sigh out a toxic wisp.

Things may not turn out the way you want them to but they will come into fruition nonetheless; that's something you're probably going to have to get used to no matter how much it irritates you.

Five peaceful minutes pass by of you standing, Jesus observing, and Alex playing until you hear the words you want to hear.

"Patron, I have Kingpin in my sights. Do you want me to kill him or will you trigger James Wesley's suicide vest?"

A grin spreads across your face.

"I already tried triggering the vest but it didn't go off. You can have the honor."

Immediately after the words leave your lips, a thundering boom echoes throughout the world.

The penthouse windows cracks and warps around a circle of shattered glass.

A feeling of euphoria washes over you.

Closing your eyes, you bathe in the sensation for what seems like forever.

"Wha- do you th- you're doing you imbe- do you have an- id- of who I a-!"

You open your eyes and turn to your right to see a crouched Jesus doing the same and Alex pulling away her knife from the dead sniper's skinned face.

The blond girl takes something from his belt and hands it over Jesus' head to you with a blank expression.

You recognize it as a radio when you take it from her.

"You have doomed your- as well as every- you know and lo-! I hope you under- that, whoever you are. There is no where you can hide and no where you can run. I will not be assassinated or assaulted in my city!"

...

...

The voice on the other line is unmistakably Kingpin's, complacent and proud.

>[ ] "...My name is Kojo Reyes. That last one sound familiar, fatass?"
>[ ] "...King Cockroach, that's what they should name you. Persistent bloated fucking pest."
>[ ] "...Jesus, I'm not mad, there's no way you could have known Kingpin had bulletproof glass, just please shoot Wesley if he still has head out. Bulletproof glass is like Kevlar, only good for one shot."

I don't want to second this yet. Specify what you mean by "jump into the hotel"? Penthouse or somewhere in the side? Cuz I'm personally thinking having us jump into the penthouse window to bust in AND break the bulletproof glass would be enough for Jesus to line up a shot. >[X] "Can the normal elevator even lift your fat ass or do you have a freight elevator in there?"
>[X] Jump into the penthouse.

As much as you want to dive into the bloody meat of things to get the sour taste of wall bullet blocking out of your mouth, first things first: taking care of loose-ends.

You lower the radio to your hip and turn to Jesus with such force the surrounding air is pushed into his face, forcing back his black hair.

"...Jesus, I'm not mad, there's no way you could have known Kingpin had bulletproof glass, just please shoot Wesley if he still has head out. Bulletproof glass is like Kevlar, only good for one shot."

The Colombian teen immediately focuses back on the scope of his rifle and takes another shot.

"It's done, patron."

You breathe in, sigh, and lift the radio up to your lips.

"King Cockroach, that's what they should name you." You scowl. "Persistent bloated fucking pest! Can the normal elevator even lift your fat ass or do you have a freight elevator in there!?"

Tossing the radio over to Alex, you turn to the Baccarat Hotel and vault at the penthouse.

A voracious snarl from your throat resonates all throughout the sky you shear through on your way.

You burst out of the ruined bulletproof glass window and scour the area with your eyes.

By one end of a fancy engraved table, the corpse of James Wesley is spilled out on the wooden floor with the top half of his head pouring into it.

Four visibly armed men are taking cover in the oh so elegant kitchen to your right.

Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin himself, is yelling words that do not interest you into a radio he's holding in his grubby hands behind a wall to your left.

The moment your eyes lay on the familiar figure, the air around you is propelled outward and the floor beneath your feet splinters.

It's time.

>[X] Kill the guards and drag Kingpin out.

You will not have your moment of triumph spoiled by gnats.

Turning to your right, you spring over to Kingpin's men with the fingers of a hand flexed into a claw.

The mercenaries have no time to react before you rip through all of them in one fluid motion ending with you facing Kingpin's direction at the culmination of a spin.

Wilson Fisk widens his eyes at you behind his cover before narrowing them into a menacing glare but you can see, smell, and taste the fear glistening in them.

Death has come for him and everyone must die; he understands this but you do not.

Life is eternal as is Death.

Step by floor-shattering step, you saunter over to Kingpin.

To the man's credit, he does not falter and pulls his arm back to swing at you.

You don't bother blocking or parrying, letting your luxurious skin absorb a blow that barely loosens a few of your teeth, before grabbing him by his suit and dragging him into the living room.

Kingpin wails blows on you with his free arms, like a tantrum throwing child, but you ignore them all as you did the first one.

Stopping at the center of the room, you change your grip to his collar and bring up your other hand to grasp it before using the collar to bring Kingpin's head down to the level of yours.

It's time.

It's time.

A devilish grin spreads across your face.

It's finally your time.

As much as you want to kill the fatass with your bare hands, it's best to let Jesus take care of him for the sake of the plan; personally masterminding, ordering, and arranging his death will due.

You let go of Fisk's collar before stretching your left arm out to the window and raising a thumb.

Kingpin has a look of utter contempt on his face one second and has half of one the next. What's left of the other half splatters over a great portion of the living room including the right side of your body. His corpse proudly half-sneers in defiance of you for a few seconds before falling to your feet like everyone other person who dared stand against you.

The grin on your face widens as a wave of euphoria over you.

Raising your head up in the air, you let out a few joyous laughs before gazing down at the corpse by your feet.

You've taken everything that's his and what legacy he'd leave behind.

There's only one thing in existence left for you to take.

It's a mystery to you how it exists, functions, or if you can even take it despite yours' hunger for them.

Still, you will not let anything hold back that which you will.

You crouch down and lay a hand on Kingpin's unmoving chest.

Unlike Felon's empty body, you feel the delectable essence of life lingering in the corpse.

A hum rumbles in your throat.

Everyone you've killed or seen die since awakening your supernatural perception hasn't had any sort of projection of themselves rise out of their dead body.

The feeling you get when you flow out into the world through your third eye is one of being empty yet eternal and all-knowing.

Whatever a soul truly is, you don't think it's actually meant to die, at least not like flesh does.

You pull your arm back, close your eyes, and concentrate on the dual existence of your being.

It feels as it did before with two bodies occupying space as one yet sharing a different existence until you concentrate.

Wiggling the fingers of your left hand, you feel that which is you flow along with it but not alongside it.

You open your eyes and hum in realization that you only have one body occupying space. The other can't be called a body because it's really your soul filling it like blood, operating it through will albeit unintentionally and unknowingly to itself in almost all cases. It exists in the same space but not in the same manner.
>>
>(2/2)

Kingpin's soul is still in his body likely dying inside or being ferried by Death to a world beyond this one out of your reach, which means you don't have much time.

Taking a breath, you focus on that which is you formless yet not formless occupying your pulled back arm.

You feel that which is you slowly "solidify" and take the shape of it.

When you finally bring you arm down, it's a smoldering dark red emerging from your shoulder where your usual golden brown arm is still pulled back.

>Supernatural Ability Unlocked: Astral Projection(You can project your soul out of your body.)

The burning agony from your previous supernatural escapades returns in greater force as that which is you delves into Kingpin's body.

All of the pain becomes inconsequential when you feel the blissful sensation of that which is you touch all that is the False King.

You take hold of the formless soul, grin, and tear it out of his body.

The blue wisp wanes when that which is you but not you ebbs away at it.

It's time for you to feast.

As you pull Kingpin's soul towards you, that which is you completely takes form in your body.

You move as one when you open your gaping, watering maw and force all that is Kingpin inside.

Shutting your jaw, you trap Kingpin inside your body.

It only takes a second for that which is you to rip, tear, and consume the blue soul.

The agony of forcing that which is you out into the world fades away into pleasure and your third eye opens once again.

You raise your head up and let out a guttural moan.

It's done.

What you've been working non-stop to carry out since that incident yesterday morning is finally finished.

New York City is completely and utterly yours.

Seong Woo-Jin is dead, Silvermane has bent the knee, Hammerhead is a dead man walking, and you have taken everything from Kingpin.

It may have not gone down the way you wanted it to but you have to admit that the shear ecstasy your feeling right now more than makes up for it.

A hum rumbles in your throat as you glance at the four dead men in the Kitchen and back in your two lieutenants' direction.

There's a few things you can tie up here before taking everyone home, calling up Silvio, and arranging a huge celebration meeting.

I kinda want to see Kojo doing both of these. Hopping around, chucking bodies as far as he can like empty beer bottles in celebration, one body splattering on the side of a building and tumbling down like a Wacky Wall Walker, Alex masturbating furiously at the gore, and poor Jesus wondering what the fuck he just saw Kojo do to Fisk's corpse through the scope of his rifle.

You can work out your thoughts about your father, admire your handiwork, and throw a bomb ass party some other time: you've gotta cover your tracks but that doesn't exactly mean you can't have fun doing it.

A crouching flip backwards takes you to the four dead men in Kingpin's kitchen.

Grabbing one of them in each hand as you land, you turn and jump sideways back into the living room, performing a mid-air cartwheel.

You throw both bodies out of the shattered bullet proof window before you land on your feet.

Hopping back to the last two men, you grab them and run out into the living room where you leap out the broken window towards the center building.

You drop the bodies in mid-air before you see the familiar face of your stoic Jesus beside your grinning, hopping, and clapping Alex.

Landing near the sniper's corpse, you side-step a pounce from Alex before picking up the body and throwing it into the air above the street below.

A hop takes you to the other side of the skyscraper roof where you hop down to the W.P Carey building and leap over to the Chase building.

You walk over to the defaced sniper and throw him far into the air to make up for the lack of distance between the roof of the ground.

One by one you throw all the corpses of the snipers up and over until you come full circle back to your lieutenants.

A face scraped Alex is fiddling with her knives by her AK leaning on the roof wall while Jesus stands with his OSV in hand when you land.

They turn to you when they hear the muffled sound normal people wouldn't notice.

You greet them with a happy grin on your face.

I don't think we're missing anything incriminating at all, at least not until Afungi pulls whatever that is out later, and we have to deal with that.
We threw all the sniper corpses out, we threw out the corpses of the four guard guys we tore through with our hands, Kingpin's body has the bullet wound through the head, we left no DNA or bodily fluid anywhere, James Wesley's whore is dead back at his home and the evidence we faked is there too, the reforged Kingpin will is all good to go, Silvermane has the call from Felon (as James Wesley) recorded on his end, and James Wesley is a detonated pile of giblets.
We're done here.

May as well get it out of the way now; it's been on your mind for a while, anyway. You doubt they'd care or speak out against your decision on account of fear, obedience, and lack of actual interest in being in a leadership position. If anything, they'd welcome the decreased amount of responsibility they have or just not care about it in anyway at all.

You turn to the mopey blond.

"Alex, your demoted to my personal assassin because I don't have any other assassins. I'm not mad about the lunge, I don't think I can be mad at anything right now, it's just obvious you're not leadership material and I think I'm going to disband or remake the inner circle either by the end of today or on some other day."

The blond minx blinks at you.

"No more responsibility and I get to do one of the two things I love doing more often?" She stands, jumps, and gives a happy cry before giving you a seductive look. "I should throw myself at you more often, boss."

You shrug.

"If I'm still in this great of a mood a few hours from now, I just might let you."

Alex eyes shimmer at you.

"Really?"

Your grin turns into a smirk.

"No." A laugh escapes your lips as the blond minx deflates. "Maybe, I haven't had sex in three years and my dream last night wasn't exactly the picture of sexual health but it was something alright."

Alex stares at you with widened eyes.

"Who are you and what have you done to the boss? He'd never tell me of all people anything like that. Also, three years? How could you resist surrounded by people who wouldn't say no to you?" Her expression and tone turn sultry. "And what exactly was in your dream last night?

Another laugh escapes your lips.

"You've caught me in quite possibly the greatest mood in my entire life so far. If you ever tell anyone this, I'll rip your tongue out and flay you alive. As for the three years, other interests and self control: things you definitely need. I'm not telling you and quite possibly anyone what happened in my dream. Nothing I say can ever explain it for what it was."

The blond girl's sultry look intensifies.

"Oooh, it was that great, huh? Was I in it?"

You smile at her and turn to your ever stoic lieutenant, leaving the meaning of your expression up to Alex.

"Jesus, you're demoted to enforcer. Let's face it: you've been one for the entire time you've followed me. Also, like Alex, its obvious that you're not exactly the leading the type."

Jesus nods his head.

"Entiendo, patrón."

A pleased hum rumbles in your throat, vibrating through the air like a calming purr.

"Just don't fuck up and kill an undercover SHIELD agent in a Hydra front warehouse like some other Latino enforc-" You stop mid-sentence and blink. "Oh," you let out, "oooh....Then who is Hy-" A series of images and memories that are not yours flood your mind. Blinking, you turn to look at the Baccarat Hotel. "...Father, what the fuck did you do?"

"Boss, you alright?" Alex calls out behind you. "Are you thinking about me in your dream or?"

You turn back and sigh.

"Not a day since you've been my personal assassin and I already feel like replacing you."

The blond minx giggles.

"There's the boss I know! Who are you going to replace me with, Ren?"

You shake your head.

"Elektra, actually." You blink. "Oh wait, she's dead...but she came back somehow after Bullseye...Wait a second, Elektra's that bitch in red that stopped me from killing the fatass back when he threw his fucking Georgian dining table at me!"

Alex gives you a concerned look.

"Boss, are you okay?"

You slowly nod.

"...Yeah, just give me a minute.

Walking to the other end of the rooftop, you stare out into the cityscape towering over the horizon and feel as though you've done it countless times before.

It turns out your father killed an agent belonging to the most advanced and powerful agency in the world and took the blame of pissing off one of the most powerful wide-spread ancient conspiracies in all of human history.

One one hand, that explains a lot of what happened when you were with him and proves your decision to kill him when you did was the right call. In the other, it strengthens the reason why he did what he did to protect you and pins one giant red fucking flag on your back if your name gets out. SHIELD might let you go if they can't connect you to any of your crimes, sedate you, or contain you but Hydra is going to be far less forgiving. Those reptile fetishist motherfuckers are going to come at you full force even if the Golden Hind branch was wiped out to a fraction of what it once was by SHIELD after the incident.

You can also tap into the memories of those whose souls you eat like Felon does.

Hooray for you.

You haven't come this far and done so much in so little time to let some bad news keep you down after one of the greatest moments of your life, much less throw away all your hard work. Crossing the likes of SHIELD or a criminal franchise like Hydra was inevitable in your profession and growing position. It may be earlier than you would've liked, but you're more than ready. They've got trained armies with a sense of duty and you've got a flexible army with instinct. They'll come to you thinking themselves hunters and find themselves falling prey in an environment they don't understand to predators they thought they did.

A grin spreads across you face.

Raising your head in the air, you let out a laugh.

There's really nothing to it: you will do as you've always done and prevail. Besides, being the new Crime king of New York would be boring if you didn't have anyone to temper your power against.

You turn back to your staring lieutenants.

"Let's go home!"

Jesus and a grinning Alex nod with an affirming hum.

You walk over to them and wrap an arm around Jesus before securing Alex after she picks up her AK.

One leap takes you to the rooftop of the Onassis Cultural Center where you hop over to the roof of 650 Fifth Avenue and vault onto the top of the Millenium Mangement building by the Baccarat Hotel before jumping over to the skyscraper by the gap store.

Looking down mid-jump, you see the familiar flashing red and blue lights of a police vehicle.

It's not surprising someone would call them as soon as bodies started falling from the sky.

You hop over to the roof of a building housing several clothing stores by a Microsoft store as soon as you land before flipping backward onto the edge of the rooftop of the Saint Thomas Church.
>>
>(2/2)

Glancing downward to your right, you see the entrance to the parking garage the rest of your inner circle is waiting in and several passerbys staring at something in the street you threw over the building currently towering over your position.

You turn and hop down to the entrance of the parking garage. As soon as you land, you let go of your lieutenants and walk in before motioning for them to follow. The three of you go in without making a single footstep to snap the red splat onlookers out of their shock.

Inside, you pass by several cars until you see Itsuki's.

"Seriously," a familiar quivering voice says, "you don't my name? How am I a part of your crew when you don't know my name? Please just tell me it or let me go: I don't want to die not knowing who I am."

"Tch, nigga, I told you that you were a new guy our boss just picked up and relax for fuck's sake, we ain't gonna hurt you and you ain't gonna die today."

"I'm sorry, it's just...I don't know I am." The voice starts to break and progressively gets worse as it goes along. "I don't know who I am. I don't know who I am. I don't know who I am. I don't know who I am. I don't know who I am."

"Breathe, homie, breathe. Don't worry about names. The boss is gonna come by soon and he's gonna straighten you out or give you a new one: he's got plenty to spare and probably won't need all of them after this."

The sobbing voice lets out a laugh.

A hum rumbles in your throat before you walk to the mini-van's open side door and see Marcus sitting by Felon on the car floor with their feet on the ground.

Marcus shoots you a mischievous, curious look while Felon jumps at the sight of you.

"Is it done?"

You grin.

Felon may still have his uses despite seeming to have bailed out of Wesley; he stays for now with the humiliation of his stupid street name.

"It's done, let's go home."

Marcus lets out a small laugh.

"Thought so; nothing can stop you huh, Kojo?"

You raise an eyebrow at Marcus as he moves back into a car seat before turning your gaze to the shivering Felon.

"Your name is Felon." You laugh when he gives you a disbelieving look. "No, I am not joking you really are that fucking stupid."

Alex and Marcus laugh from their respective places.

You motion for Felon to go to the back seats, take a step to the passenger's seat door, open it, wave at Itsuki, seat yourself, and close the door.

Glancing back, you see Jesus enter the mini-van behind Alex and close the side-door behind him. Alex seats herself in the open seat by Marcus, who's in turn next to a smiling Ren, and Jesus takes a seat in the back by Felon.

You turn to look out the car windshield with everyone accounted for.

"Itsuki, take us back to the warehouse."

The Japanese man nods before he pulls out of the parking spot and drives to the parking garage exit. He stops by the bystanders blocking the way out to the streets, applies the horn, and drives out as soon as they walk away.

Flashing red and blue lights shine through the tinted car windows.

"I figured things went loud. How did it go, Kojo?" Marcus asks.

"The C4 didn't go off but we took care of the snipers and I had Jesus take a shot at Kingpin. Penthouse windows were bullet-proof, anti fucking material rifle proof tier, so I had Jesus snipe Wesley through the weakened glass before I dove in and dragged Kingpin out of cover for him to get his brains blown out. Cops are here because I threw the people me and Alex killed personally off of skycrapers to cover the tracks we left in their bodies."

Alex giggles.

"It was fucking awesome."

Marcus lets out an understanding hum.
>>
>(2/2)

A curious hum of your own rumbles in your throat.

There's something troubling Marcus, most likely relating to your jump in power. It's happened before around the time you first started gang banging and after you took over the entire Bronx. His drinking the night before might have really been about advancing deeper into the game rather than dying. A talk just between the two of you somewhere private could sort him out.

Eighteen minutes pass and your halfway through Franklin D. Roosevelt drive to Hunts Point when you hear Felon speak again.

"My name is...Bobby Soul. I'm a mutant and I go by Felon because I don't want anyone in the game to hire me thinking I'm down to go big time."

A laugh escapes your lips.

"Welcome back, dumbass. Your real name is just as stupid as your street name, by the way. Your not a small time felon anymore. No way in hell you can be after what you just had a hand in."

Felon sighs.

"Can't you just let me go? You just saw how I am after I go back in my body: if I keep that up, I'm going to completely forget who I am one day."

You let out a loud hum.

If you were to ever witness Felon going astral again, there's a good chance you'd eat him on instinct. Plus, now that you know how to devour souls, you can do the same thing he can without turning into an amnesiac crybaby. You still don't know if he can remember the conversation you two had in Wesley's house about your father, though.

"Not my concern but I'll consider it."

Felon doesn't say a word for the rest of the drive.

Twenty-three more minutes pass until you reach the warehouse street.

Itsuki parks at the empty end of the street.

All seven of you exit the vehicle and gaze out to the swathes of staring mil-spec gear sporting teenagers.

You grin.

They're waiting to hear the news.

No need to give away your name and promise a party just yet. You need to talk things out with Silvio first. Maybe even pay Zebra Daddy a visit to see how far he's gotten along with that list of other pimps.

Your grin widens.

"Kingpin is dead!" you shout out with enough force that the entire street hears you and your declaration echoes from building to building.

The crowd of miscreants widen their eyes and stare at you before before erupting in cheers.

Closing all three eyes, you let the praise wash over you.

It's like the experience from your dream: worshipers surrounding you and praying to you as their new god only with little of the sexuality.

One day, that dream will be a reality.

You open your eyes and turn to your Japanese enforcer.

"Itsuki, hand me your phone. I need to talk to Silvio."

The Japanese man takes out a cellular phone from his pocket and hands it to you.

You input Silvio's phone number, hold the phone to your ear, and wait for the old man to pick up.

"Is this who I think it is or do I have to buy a new phone?"

A laugh escapes your lips.

>[X] "It's me; Kingpin's dead."
>[X] "Are you still at the Fazioli, Silvio? Let's go for that drink: there's a lot for us to discuss."

While it'd be good to have dinner with him and the inner circle, it's best for it to just be you and him discussing the future of New York's underworld over drinks. Inviting him to talk at a party filled with your men in a mansion in which you killed one of your rivals is bound to set him on edge.

"It's me; Kingpin's dead."

A gruff hum vibrates through the phone speakers.

"I figured as much when my men called me saying bodies started falling from the sky before the police showed up. I hope you don't mind that I called them home after that, Don."

You wave it off.

"He was already dead by then, it's fine."

Silvio sighs over the line.

"...In the span of a single day, Don, you've done what I've been trying to do for years." He pauses. "You're something else especially for a young man. I wonder how you'll be in your prime, if I'm still alive by then."

A pleased hum rumbles in your throat.

It's not like you need it but his praises are appreciated.

"Are you still at the Fazioli, Silvio? Let's go for that drink: there's a lot for us to discuss."

"I am and yeah...there is." he says in a weary tone.

"Good, I'll meet you there."

You hang up and hand the phone back to Itsuki before glancing at your inner circle members plus Felon.

It's not like you need to go right now but you can have someone take care of things while your gone. There's still the matter of being briefed on Felon's actions in Wesley's body for the period he was in the Baccarat Hotel and Marcus' doubts, though. Also, now would be a good time to throw a celebration to throw morale through the roof. Might be good to get a change of clothes and put away your Tomcat before going out for that drink.

We should bring Ren with us to Silvio's. She's going to be our second in command for the less than legal side if things and I'd vote to have Marcus as our PR/2nd in command for our actual legitimate business. He'd probably appreciate being out of the line of for as well.

You can't present yourself to Silvio as you are now with holes in your clothes and blood stains. The old man has a certain tolerance for non-appropriate attire but you're sure this would pass his limits. A few of Itsuki's recruits are bound to still be skeptical about you and their careers as criminals so it'd be good to throw the whole crew a party to make them comfortable with the lifestyle as well as your OGs. Marcus is the best person to leave in charge, as always, and a part of you is thinking that he could be cut out to be your chief operating officer despite his lack of formal education, of which he made up for in gang life experience. With you two, the most experienced and powerful members of your gang, as public faces it'll be harder for the both of you to take care of things in person. Someone nearing Marcus' ability is required to be your underboss who answers either to you, Marcus, or the both of you and the closest thing you have is Ren. The old man might be a good one but you just barely put him under your flag.

"Excuse me for a second, I need a change of clothes."

Turning to the warehouse, you hop over the crowd of your people to the empty space by its open gate.

You walk inside and make your way to one of the ladders before hopping up to the second floor.

No one is sleeping on any of the spread out bedding when you land.

One hop takes you over to the gear area.

You tug the minotaur sticker duffel bag to you, pull out a button-up red checkered shirt, the closest thing you have to formal wear; and take off your newly acquired as well as ruined black shirt.

Dropping the shirt in the duffel bag, you take notice of the handgun you left in the waistband of your pants. You draw it and stare for a while before glancing to the distorted reflection of yourself.

A sigh escapes your lips as you drop it into the duffel bag.

Soon, you'll have to stand in front of the entire world and feed them whatever they want to hear about your father. It's not something you've ever wanted to talk about but it's inevitable at this point. Maybe you can bring Marcus along to introduce the world to your black fellow hood rat brother from another mother who's going to be the COO of your company without any experience or education whatsoever: the media would eat that shit up. At the very least, having Marcus around could help you get your story about your father straight.
>>
>(2/2)

You pull out another pair of black slacks from the duffel bag, slide out of your own blood stained ones, put on the fresh pair, and put your arms through the sleeves of your red checkered shirt before buttoning it up.

Turning back, you hop over to the ladders and hop down before walking out of the warehouse.

You leap over the crowd of people back to your patient inner circle plus Felon.

Alex gives you a cat call when you land. "Going someplace fancy, boss, or do you just want to look good before a party?"

A smile makes its way onto your face.

"You guys throw a party for the whole crew, I'm going to have a drink with Silvio." You turn to your best friend. "Marcus, you're in charge while I'm gone; get all the weapons and vests put away." Your smile turns into a grin as his expression brightens. "You're still not my second-in-command again, though." A laugh escapes your lips when Marcus gives you a look. "As for her." You turn to Ren. "She's coming with me to meet with Silvio." Your grin widens as her eyes do. "Ren, hand your AK to Itsuki since his hands are free and because he's not Felon before handing him your vest."

The Japanese girl blinks at you before nodding her head.

"Y-yes, Reyes-sama."

Ren hands Itsuki her assault rifle before sliding out of her vest and handing that over to him as well.

Turning back to Marcus in order to bask in his reaction, you see something that takes away your grin.

Marcus is staring at you with a blank expression but his blue eyes glimmer at you with a strange emptiness.

Well with the choices made we more or less made it more narrative driven than dice driven.
>>
>>2877954
It's solid. You give us plenty of choices without making us feel the paradox that comes with that sort of choice abundance. Characters getting development little by little is great, not to mention you really nailed the brutality and freedom that comes with being a crime lord at the top of the food chain with a penchant for fucking with people.

Good to hear. I've been feeling weird about choices and mechanics since we started going after Kingpin.

>[X] Beckon Marcus to follow and walk outside out of earshot.
>[X] "...Marcus, is something wrong? You know I'm gonna make you my Chief Operating Officer as soon as I inherit Kingpin's company, don't you? If you got anything on your mind to say to me, say it to me straight."

>(1/2)

Kingpin's dead, you're inheriting everything he owns, the entire city is going to be under your control in the next few days, and your best friend isn't the slightest bit happy about it: something is wrong, horribly wrong. Whatever it is is something you need to find out that no one else can hear: that you don't want anyone else but you alone to hear. Marcus has been by your side for the entire time you've known him. He's the only one left from your childhood who's still alive and knows how you were like then. No one knows you as well as he does and there's no one you know more than Marcus; that's the only thing other than power precious to you. You understand him and he understands you but right now, in this moment of time, you don't.

Beckoning Marcus to follow, you walk to the street corner and disappear behind it out of earshot.

Your best friend turns at the street corner to you a few seconds after you do.

The two of you stop before you turn to face him.

His expression remains unchanged with his empty, glimmering blue eyes reflecting the image of yourself back at you.

Unlike the mirror, you can never shatter the vision of you in his eyes.

You breathe in and sigh.

"...Marcus, is something wrong? You know I'm gonna make you my Chief Operating Officer as soon as I inherit Kingpin's company, don't you? If you got anything on your mind to say to me, say it to me straight."

Marcus blinks at you.
>>
>(2/2)

"...I don't know what that is."

You blink back at him.

"...Neither did I until a minute ago. A COO is a CEO's second-in-command who makes sure everyone's doing their job and helps out the CEO with his goals or explaining his goals to everyone below him. It's pretty much the exact same thing you've been doing for the past five years except without the murdering and some of the law breaking." You raise a hand to cup your chin. "Come to think of it, a lot of running a corporation or any sort of organization is exactly like running a gang only more complex."

Marcus raises an eyebrow.

"When did you suddenly learn about corporations?"

A hum rumbles in your throat.

"About an hour ago; long story, you were technically there. Anyway, you're still going to be my second-in-command only in more of a public sense. I know you've been getting antsy about getting smoked so I figured you could do with a change of pace. Being public figures, you and I won't be able to take care of things personally without risk of blowing our covers. Ren or maybe Silvio if he proves trustworthy can be my right hand in crime while your mine in public. Either of them will have to answer to me or you if you still feel like helping out in the game."

The empty glimmer in Marcus' eyes fades away as he blinks at you.

"...Oh...Thanks, Kojo."

He turns and begins to walk back to the street corner.

You blink at the back of the black man's bald head.

For some strange reason, you can't help but feel like he's hiding something from you.

How strange.

You were being polite, respectful, and benevolent but he's still holding back on you. It seems like pleasantries won't get you what you want, as usual. Marcus wants to have an attitude so be it but he will tell you what his problem is.

A scowl makes its way onto your face.

"Bitch, you are not walking out on me right fucking now after giving me that fucking look!"

Marcus stops in his tracks and lets out a shaky sigh.

The black man switches his grip on his AK to one hand before pointing it down.

You watch with some amount of caution as he seemingly takes a step forward but slides his feet back and does so repeatedly in fluid motions until he's not so face to face with you.

Blinking all three of your eyes, you continue to stare at the back of Marcus' bald head.

...

You haven't slightest idea what the fuck is going on right now.

The aggressive approach brought him back but also left you with no idea what the hell is on his mind; best to deescalate the situation by commenting on his impeccable dancing skills.

"...I did not know you knew how to dance."

A small laugh escapes from the other side of Marcus' that steadily grows into a full fit of laughter.

Turning back to face you, Marcus has a glistening warmth to his eyes and a smile on his face.

"That's exactly like you, Kojo. You can read people like a book but you can't understand the simplest fucking thing." He breathes in and sighs. "When you said you were bringing Ren with you to discuss things with Silvio, I thought..." His voice breaks. "You were really replacing me this time and not making a stupid joke but you just had something else in mind is all."

You blink again before a small laugh of your own escapes your lips that also builds up to a fit of laughter.

Marcus turns his gaze away from you and scowls.

"Fuck you."

Stopping yourself from laughing anymore, you give your best friend a warm smile.

"Marcus, no one is replacing you: no one can replace you. Not to me, at least. There's no one else but you I will accept as my confidant or my right hand. Ren's a sub-boss at most who'll likely get to know me in time but no one can more than you."

The black teen blinks and turns his back on you.

You lay a hand on his shoulder before he can walk off and turn him back again.

Two teardrops are running down Marcus' cheeks and splattering on the ground when you finish turning him.

You widen your eyes at the sight.

...

...

You kind of understand but you are completely fucking lost right now.

You don't understand; you deescalated the situation, learned what was troubling him, and affirmed him that he was valuable to you yet he's crying.

"...I..I don't get it. I really don't understand."

Marcus raises a hand to bury his face in before facing you with a laugh.

"I'm happy, you fucking dipshit: what you said made me feel so happy I cried. Believe it or not people can actually cry out of happiness."

You blink at your best friend.

"...Really?"

Marcus gives you a dirty look.

"Yes, you fucking psychopath, they do. Now are we done here or do you want to be the one getting something off your chest for a change?"

A hum rumbles in your throat.

The two of you are alone, word of Kingpin's death and inheritance will get out tomorrow, and the party is likely to still be raging by the time you come back from the Fazioli.

Now is probably your only chance.

You breathe in and sigh.

"...I think it's time I told you about my father."

Marcus widens his teary eyes at you.

"Oh shit, really?"

You nod.

"His name was Augusto Reyes and I met him back when I was still just Kojo sometime before I met you."

A laugh escapes your lips.

"I tried killing him when we first met wiping the same gang hideout. Neither of us knew it at the time but we were father and son. My knife was so close to his heel and my...his Tomcat was almost pointed to my head before some big black motherfucker named Barracuda started shooting the place up from outside. We ran out through the back exit, slaughtered the guys Cuda had posted there, and disappeared into the night. I went my separate way from him but he followed me back to our old squat. He asked me if I knew if French Cap and her merry band of mixed outcasts were around and why I wasn't with them if they were. I said no and rushed to kill him but he drew his gun at my head. He asked my name, I answered, and he told me it was an Akan name all suspicious like because of my accent before he realized I was mixed."
>>
>(2/3)

You smirk.

"That was his first clue. In the morning afterward, he took me out for breakfast at a restaurant to talk to me about my parents and we ended up ditching the place because Cuda noticed us while he was robbing it. We ran out and hid in an alleyway where he taught me how to shoot using some bum we found there as target practice. He let me keep the Tomcat even though Cuda's men were closing in on us. It didn't matter much when he took the first guy's Uzi and riddling all of them with bullets. I decided to keep around Augusto for handgun tutoring. For the next few days afterward, shit was weird: men in black suits were following us and a few squads of men in military grade equipment tried killing us but we killed them. It stopped near the end of our time together after I brought up Old Soldier Man Dan for help identifying who those men in mil-spec gear were. My father said he knew who they were already and that he used to know a Soldier Man Dan from his day in Hunts Point. We went to him, found out they were the same person, and my father asked him if he knew if French Cap was still around before asking him if she was pregnant when he last saw her."

You sigh.

"She was but she disappeared not long after he last saw her. My father looked down at me with a glow in his eyes I couldn't understand at the time before asking me how old I was and if I knew my birthday. I told him I was seven years old and that I was born on the eighth of May in 1989: I knew my birthday because it was sewn into a scarf of what I think I made from my baby clothes."

Another laugh escapes your lips.

"He told me he left Hunts Point in the latter half of the year before where French Cap fucked him until she literally cracked his hip. Cuda showed up in the middle of our conversation alone and was about to open fire on our asses until he recognized Dan. Turned out the big black bastard and the white old soldier man were war buddies with Dan owing the big black bastard his life. Both of them started talking to each other and I took the opportunity to sever Cuda's Achilles tendon. Cuda threatened to kill me and my father proceeded to beat the ever loving shit out of him until Dan drew a gun on him. He backed off, Dan considered the life debt paid, and the two of us left while the two of them sat down to talk about the old days. My father took me to a worn down building he used to hang out with French Cap in and told me everything. French Cap's real name was Thema Léone Moon. She wore baggy clothes all the time and always had a French cap on, hence the name. The first time they met, she killed a few guys in the gang he used to run with before he drove a knife into the back of her neck. Thema dropped to the floor like a puppet with its strings cut and the boys left alive figured my dad should fuck her while she was dying to spit on her so he did."
>>
>(3/3)

Marcus gives you a disturbed look.

"That's fucked up."

You shrug.

"Turns out she was into that kind of thing. Anyway, her French cap fell off while he finished and he noticed a cute pair of horns on the top of her head." You raise your hands to you own and run along the rigid length of both of them. "They were no where near as big as mine are or were when I originally mutated and they popped out of the top of her head. He pulled both his knives out of her and walked away. A minute afterward French Cap got up, killed the rest of the boys, and asked my dad out on a date." You smile. "You can put two and two together by now: my mother was a crazy creole bitch born from the union of a Ghanaian and a jungle feverish Frenchman." You frown. "This is where things end. After my father told me everything he knew about my mother, he said he was leaving me for my own safety and walked away."

The ground underneath your feet cracks and you dig your fingers into the flesh of your palms.

"I pulled out my Tomcat, put one in his heel, and shot him right through the heart when he turned around."

You pull your bloody fingers out of your palms and sigh.

"...He told me he understood before I finished him off with a shot to his head but he didn't: I killed him because I thought he was too dangerous to leave alive in any way with his connection to me and mine to him not out of anger or any emotion whatsoever. Looking back on it now, I wish I had the powers I have now to make his death slow and painful."

Marcus stares at you in silence and doesn't say a word.

Dwelling on the subject may be uncomfortable for you but Marcus is bound to have a lot of questions on his mind.

"...Any questions? If you got any, spite em out while we have time."

Marcus blinks at you.

"...Kojo, that's a lot of shit to process. Ummm, what happened to Barracuda? After all that hassle you gave him and his connection to Dan, how is it that I've never seen him around the old warehouse?"

You hum.

"He came by a few days before I met you, I think. We both went at each other but with Dan's intervention we came to a certain understanding and he left me alone out of some respect for 'Bloody Gus' as well as me being a hardcore little mixed nigga." A laugh escapes your lips. "He's supervising, well, supervised Harlem and kept an eye on Diamondback for Kingpin because Cage made Harlem's instability intolerable when he came onto the scene." You raise a bloodied hand to cup your chin. "Come to think of it, I would've ran into him again if we went with Jesus' plan."

Marcus raises an eyebrow at you.

"So Barracuda is or was working for Kingpin and he went after your dad because?"

You blink.

"Oh, Kingpin double-crossed someone he shouldn't have and used him as a scapegoat. He wasn't exactly the right pawn to sacrifice but everyone else of a reputable position was tied up at the moment. Figuring if men as capable as Augusto could come from the streets with little training, he could find better replacements elsewhere." You scoff. "Turns out natural born killers aren't as abundant as he thought they were and most don't like to stick to one contractor. He tried hiring Taskmaster to take the role for a while and kill Silvio but he was a client of his who purchased Taskmaster's emergency response package and is regularly hired by Silvio as a security consultant so...Huh, me and Ren would've probably ran into him if we went after Silvio's granddaughter."

Marcus gives you an odd look.

"You are just now mentioning all of this?"

Parting your lips to explain yourself, you struggle to find a way to before shrugging it off.

"It's complicated, I'll tell you later."

Marcus clucks his tongue.

"Okay then, where was your mom born and what the fuck was her deal? I mean, for fuck's sake, she dated her rapist."

You shrug.
>>
>(2/2)

"From what my father told me, she just really liked power and dominance; I suppose I take after her that way. She had a couple of girlfriends in her crew before he came along because she found dominating them more of a turn on than men." You laugh. "They resented my father for taking away their queen. As for where she was born, France. My grandparents moved over here from there to start a business and lost everything before ending up in Hunts Point. Funny thing is, she was already a mutant before she ended up in America. She told my father how painful it was learning to control her powers and that a psychic cripple in a wheel chair came to her house to offer her a place filled with people like her but she refused along with her parents. All she needed to do to disguise herself was put on a French cap to take care of the horns and wear baggy clothes to hide her new rippling muscles."

Marcus blinks at you.

"Your mother met Professor Xavier and was invited to his school for mutants before he unveiled it to the world?"

You nod your head.

"Yeah, I'm glad she didn't agree to go with him or I wouldn't be here right now."

Marcus sighs.

"I'm just going to stop asking questions now: this is way too much crazy shit to hear in one day."

You grin.

"I told you almost everything I know; can't say the same for what I don't, though."

Marcus gives you a look but doesn't say anything.

You let out a small laugh.

"Do you want to come with to meet Silvio?"

Marcus nods.

You smile, walk past Marcus, motion for him to follow you, and walk back to the rest of your patient inner circle plus Felon.

Ren and Alex watch you two with curious eyes while the others remain neutral.

>(1/2)

Treating Itsuki like a glorified cabbie may be entertaining but it's disrespectful to a man who was capable of wounding you and time wasting when you can hop there in the fraction of the time it'd take to drive even if you don't like carrying people. He's a first rate enforcer with years of experience under his belt. It's best and more respectful to use him the way he's been used for a while now: as a babysitter. A cabbie is trusted to ferry you where you need to go while a babysitter is entrusted with the lives of your children. You're sure he won't make the same mistake he did the first time around.

"Itsuki, you're in charge while we're gone. Marcus is coming with me and Ren to meet with Silvio."

Alex piques her head up as the Japanese man nods his with an affirming hum.

"Did the two of you get a fight and make up?" A mischievous smile spread across her face. "Or did you make out?"

You laugh as Marcus scoffs.

"It was nothing you won't find out tomorrow or a few days from now. Besides, I'm not interested in seeing Marcus stripped down." You glance at Marcus' vest protected chest. "Though speaking of, you should get out of your combat gear: I don't think Silvio will be welcoming if any of us come in armed."

Marcus sighs, lays his AK on the ground, draws his SAA, sets it down by the assault rifle, draws a Bratva combat knife from his pocket, hands it over to a jumping Alex, and strips out of all his paramilitary apparel before setting them in a pile by his weapons.

"Make sure whoever takes my revolver brings it back up to the warehouse gear bags and doesn't keep it."

Itsuki, still with Ren's equipment in hand, bows.

"You have my word."

Marcus raises an eyebrow at the Japanese man as he stretches his arms.

"Aight."

You shoot your best friend a questioning look.

"Why do you even keep that old thing around?"

Marcus turns to you and a strange look briefly flashes on his face.

"...Kojo, you gave it to me."

All three of your eyes blink.

The memory of your first meeting comes back to you: the alley, the white punks, and their leader holding an old Single Action Army to an Afro-headed boy's eye. You already had your Tomcat but you kept the revolver in case you needed it after killing the original owner and his cronies. Shortly after Marcus proved himself useful, you gave it to him.

"...Oh yeah, I did. Somehow I completely forgot about that."

Marcus rolls his two eyes at you before walking to your side while Ren, with a puzzled look on her face, walks over to your other side.

You wrap an arm around both of their waists, leap up to the corner building's roof, and take off into the shining cityscape.
>>
>(2/2)

It takes you five minutes to reach Robert F. Kennedy Bridge in Port Morris.

You can't hitch a ride on a truck with both hands occupied, though.

Landing on the roof of FreshDirect by the Bronx Kill, you leap to the edge and jump up onto a bridge support pillar before hopping over to the leftmost last one where the truss ends.

You leap down into the sports fields of Randall's Island and hop past them as well as the island's fire station to the water treatment plant. Small building roofs, pipes, and pools of murky water are all things you hop either across or from on your way to Hell Gate Bridge. Unlike Robert F. Kennedy, Hell Gate's supports run all the way through from Queens to Randall's Island so you can jump across them with passengers.

Reaching Hell Gate Bridge, you jump up onto the Randall's Island arch and hop across the truss to Queens' arch where you hop down to Astoria Park.

There are several people relaxing in the park when you land but you pay them no mind as you skip your way out of the park and into the streets, where you hop onto the nearest rooftop before taking off again to the Fazioli.

It takes eight minutes for you to cut through northwestern Queens to the roof of the Fazioli in Brooklyn.

You hop to the edge of the roof before falling down to the entrance.

The posted door-guardsmen jump but don't draw their weapons on you.

You let go of your second-in-commands and give them a minute to collect their bearings before nodding your head at one of the guardsmen to open the door.

All three of you walk in and the lounge bar immediately falls silent with the exception of the sound of a piano playing.

Silvio is still sitting by the pianist while Sofia is attending a poker game table with the two older capos you saw the first time you came here today.

A grin spreads across your face.

Everyone's eyes are on you as they should be.

>[X] Hold out your left hand, you are King now and respect is due

It's only proper to formally introduce your lieutenants as it is for Silvio to pay his respects.

You saunter your way to Silvio's table with Ren and Marcus keeping an eye on the clientèle the three of you walk by.

Stopping at the old man's fancy table, you hold your hands out to your sides.

"Allow me to formally introduce my companions. This." You gesture your left hand. "Is Ren Yamazaki; the two of you have met before. And this." You gesture your right hand. "Is Marcus, just Marcus: he's my best man. They're here because they both have a role to play in what I have in mind for the future. But before we start conversing over drinks, respect is due."

You return your right arm to your side and hold out the back of your left hand to the old man.

Silvio rises from his seat, fixes his tie, walks over to you, and kneels before kissing the back of your left ring finger.

The members and affiliates of the Maggia watch in silence as their leader displays his subservience to you for all of them to see.

Rising, Silvio glances around the men staring before fixing his eyes on you.

"Do you want them to pay their respects too, Don?"

A curious yet pleased hum rumbles in your throat.
