Jesus guys im so sorry, I somehow thought it was wednesday. I got civilization 6 and was absorbed by it, trying to learn it. Amazingly hard when you're practically blind and have to alt-tab ALL THE TIME to paste a screen on mspaint so i can enlarge it and read it

Anyway, I guess we'll play tonight if you see this, then on sunday and the rest of the week to make up for it, so let me know if you see this thread.

Miellewds-guy here.

Hi hi! Like I said, sorry, Civ grabbed me and didn't want to let go :P

I'm surprised by how complicated it is. And I don't mean "its a hard game" I mean there's lots of classical features unvailable now.

For example for 30+ years, you always were able to see a list with all your cities, and just organize them by which city produces the most culture, science or industry, so you could make informaed decisions, like "where do I want to build this "x2 science production on this city"? But nope, its gone in civ6 and I thougnt I had gone extra blind cause i couldn't find it.

Nope, its just gone.

*Anyway

We talk with the faery through Miel, and she explains to us that there are no traps on this floor, but the treasure room is full of monsters.

And she means FULL of monsters.

She doesn't knows what the treasure is, though.

Well, we offer her to take her out of the dungeon, which surprises her greatly, since she wasn't aware that there was anything else but the dungeon.

Eh... Atroma knew, though? I wonder if that was because she was the dungeon's final boss.

>Offer to try and take her out. We'll need to bring the isolation field generator, though, so it will likely take a couple of days
>Thank her for her help and leave for now. She'll be fine, noone had come this deep anyway.

The faery shakes her head, and says that she's alone down here. She used to just fly around and grow some mushroom farms to pass time.

Oh, she wants to bring her mushroom farm.

"Well, can we uproot them without killing them?" - we scratch our nose for a bit, and look over to Miel, our plants and flowers expert
"I doubt it, but muschrooms are extremely fertile. If we insert them quickly into Master's [Inventory] and then remove them when we have a place ready for them to cast their spores into, it should be easy to regrow them, I think."
"Alright, let's go with that... ah, which type of faery -is- she? I mean, she looks like what you'd expect from a faery tale."
"Eh?" - Miel looks at us

Well, there's no faery tales here so it can't be helped.

Pulling out our ring to examine her, we see that she's a [Dungeon Faery] lvl 10

Eh... she's just level 10? In floor 401? I guess they are 'special' monsters, but it feels odd, anyway.

"Big brother, lu~unch..." - Stella tugs our sleeve gently
"Yes, alright."

We promise the faery to come back in a couipl... uhmm I guess she doesn't knows what a day is.

"We'll come back soon." - we promise

Its quite amazing that she doesn't seems to be affected by living alone for gods knows how long.

We emerge back out in the Adventurer's Guild, and make our way to Stella's manor in a rented coach after fetching our...

Sorry for typing such a tiny post, but i just realized i dont know if we should put them in our menagerie to make them easy to transport, or let them ride with us on the coach.

At least the babies, I guess, so they get to see the city and such
>>
>>2945235
Most wont fit, unless we have Squidward carry them as he flies. It would be a great show of wealth and power, but it might be too ostentatious.
>>
>>2945239
Thats why i said "at least the babies"
Still, it'll be a tight fit
>>
>>2945258
Let the babies ride in the carriage, adults ride on Squidward or Radiant.
>>
>>2945273
Thats why i was saying that since someone mentioned we should let the babies socialize, we should let them stay out and ride with us on the coach (will be tight but surely its okay) and recall the adults into the menagerie. We can call them out later if we want them to have lunch with us

Or we could just treestride to the manor's garden. I was just saying it would be nice to let the little ones see around
>>
>>2945423
Okay, so we agree to let the babies ride in the coach with us.
>>
If the Dungeon Faery is the only one of its kind to be outside, shouldn’t we make her into a Pet and breed as many of them as we can, freeing them as they go on cooldown as the mother of a new Dungeon Faery?

So we first have the First Dungeon faery, let’s call her Uno for now, be the father and every Pet we currently have that’s not on Breeding Cooldown as the mother, before making Uno a mother herself. As the eggs hatch we bring out the new Dungeon Faery Pet and release them. And give them land to make them Civilized and then swear fealty to Queen Miel and the Hegemony to become Citizens.

But maybe we should see what Evolutions the Faeries will go through before freeing them, so that we can free them at a good Evolution.
>>
>>2945506
Sure, sounds doable.

Can I get a list of the babies? I remember Crystal, Adia, Atiena, Chiku and Jam. Am i forgetting anyone? I think I remember having a new harpy named Alexia as well?

>Are we including the Jungle Faeries?
They're not really babies, but at least they're the ones that use the least space. We can let them hang from the window (i mean hanging with their bodies in and holding from the window edge so they can look out, of course) so they get a look at different lands.

Uhm- with Adia, Alexia, Atiena, Crystal, Jam, Lyann, Miel, Stella and ourselves, plus the three jungle faeries, its a good thing we rented the largest coach we could find, but it still is quite a tight fit.

Well, Jam is just floating in the middle of the passenfger's compartment... I wonder if it was really neccesary to socialize a swarm creature?

Let's see, we have 8 seats and its 9 of us, so let's sit...

in our legs and be cute to her.
>>
>>2945744

>>
>>2945757

Hnmm- well, its obvious we'll have our imouto sit on our lap.

To begin with, we shouldn't show preference between Lyann or Miel, since they're both our fianceés, and the same is true about our pets. We should be fair to all of them.

Thankfully, Stella is the only one of our imoutos present right now, so she's the safe choice. Yup.

"We're short one seat, so sit on my lap, Stela."
"Yes~!" - she sings happily - "~excuse me."

Eh? isn't she too light? Well, I guess that despite her stats, she's still just 1.65m tall (*), so she weights as much as she should weight? Still, she's still wearing her armor and gear, you know?

Well, its fine.

"Ah... big brother's lap is soft and warm." - she says as she leans in to nuzzle at our ears anc neck
"Is that so? But don't wag your tail, or you'll bother the others, you know?"
"Eh?" Adia looks up from the fluffy tail she was playing with

I guess it isn't a bother after all.
In a way, isn't it envious? She gets to play with the fluffy tail.
Well, we can squeeze at Stella and pet her ears, though.

"Awa~" - our Imouto really enjoys it when we pat pat her head and gently caress her ears
"If I marry big brother too, you'll pet me every day, right?"
"Sure, sure."
"Waa~"

>Ah, well, she's stated she wants to marry dad, Alard, uncle Dan, and now us, so its alright, it's just a child showing affection.
>Ah, we better nip that in the bud- I think it would be bad if she takes that too far. She's already a fine young lady, after all.

"Yes, yes~" - we indulge her and smooch the side of her head, then rub her soft hair
"Ya~y" - she chirps happily

The faeries are quite fascinated with the view outside, happily swimging their legs while they watch through the window, and the baby pets are having fun talking with eachother or our group like machine guns.

Well, Adia is just looking outside quietly. I guess she's a more introverted child.

"You know, I've actually learnt proper etiquette and manners at school and during this trip. I promise not to embarras you~" - says Stella, a bit more seriously
"Yes, yes."

We rub her her sides a little bit, which causes her to coo in happiness.

Once arriving at the manor, we have to...

>Other

Well, it's Stella's garden, but same thing.

"Just don't leave the garden!" - we call after them
"Yes~!" - they reply without looking back, their focus taken by the unknown flowers

"Lunch~! ah..." - Stella was tensing up up to jump off our lap, when she seems to think about it - "Uuuh~"
"You have to get off and have lunch, you know?" - we chide her gently while rubbing her sides
"Uuuh~ alright..."

We grab her and gently lower her off our lap, then follow after everyone else out of the coach and pay the driver.

Our other pets are all interested in the constantly changing landscape. This area of town if mostly large states and manors, and you can see plenty of beautiful houses, but very little people (out on the gardens, and basically noone on the streets).

"Uuuh~ the sky is grey." - notices Adia as she looks up

Well, she was born in a subtropical region, so she's used to clear blus, bright skies.

"Eeeeh~" - Adia is surprised

"Master, is this your house?" - asks Atenia as she clings to us from behind
"It is Stella's house."
"No... my house is with big brother. This is a temporal house." - says our imouto

I guess she's right.

Well, I guess she likes children too, that's good.

Or so we thought, but Stella, what the hell are you doing?

"...and these are vegetables. They're not tasty at all, but you should eat them all the same. That's what my mommies said to me." - she says while holding up some veggies

I seriously doubt either mom or Ellie would say "they are no good but eat them anyway", you know? Please don't teach weird things!

Luckily(?) we have Lyann with us, so she introduces us, and...

Anyway, as soon as they realize who we are, there's a small stampede as they bring documents that need our stamp on it.

Lyann stops them, and has them hand over the documents to her, then she guides us to our private office on the side.

Two very nervous clerks come into our office. A couple of male jackal beastkin, they were dressed comfortable and smartly, with one of them having a pair of spectacles on top of its long muzzle.

"Please have a seat. You submitted these, yes?" - we invite them to seat across from our desk

Lyann brings them a cup of.. is that coffee? It smells like it!

"Can I get a cup of that, too?"
"Of course?"

It is coffee! Finally! Yes! I feel like I can work forever now!

Well, after talking with them, it seems clear that the problem is with the numerical system they use. It has too many symbols (words) for numbers, some of which are context-sensitive, so that makes accounting into its very own brand of nightmare.

"I think I'll write a proposal for Mako. We need to modernize the number system we use."
"I am sure she will agree." - adds Miel kindly from the couch - "If it is milord who asks her to."

Ah, that is slightly worrying. Of course it's nice to be trusted so much, but we can make mistakes too.

Well, there's no harm in going from a word-system for numbers to a symbol-based system, I think.

Meanwhile, Kya is walking down the hallways of the palace, and getting instructions from the guards and servants towards Mako's location.

She turns out to be meeting with a delegation of students from the imperial university. They are the best and brightest, and were given the opportunity to meet with the young empress as a reward for their hard work.

It takes a while, as Mako seems in no hurry to dismiss them, and the students are in no hurry to leave.

As a former student herself, she can talk with them about classwork and teachers, projects and even about the cost of study supplies, so they soon feel like friends, and before they leave, Mako promises to inspect the campis by herself, soon.

"Ah, you look like you were having fun." - says Kya once she finally approaches
"I was!" - says the beautiful empress - "I like talking with new people."

Eh, she looks like she's about to start glowing with kindness.

"What will you do now?" - asks Kya
"I- ah, should get used to saying 'we', correct?" - Mako corrects herself - "We will meet with the engineers and architect for the land reclamation project. They, wish to have street plans ready before beginning to work."
"Planning a new city?"

The idea is strange. Kya comes from a country rulled by near-immortals. They rule on a seat of tradition and stability, and it may take hundreds of years before changes are seen.

Okaba has been implementing many new polocies, but they are oriented towards changing the minds and hearts of people over the next two. three hundred years.

To just plan on starting the construction of a completely new toen...

"Can I accompany you to this meeting?"
"Yes." - smiles Mako, as she offers her hand to the majin princess - "come with me."

***

"Ah~" - we take a deep breath as we lower a book on taxation laws - "Their system works, but its a bit too simple. It gives too much power to too few a number of individuals."

"Ah, hold on..." - our faery queen reaches for a piece of paper, and a pen, then shows us - "These are the symbols for zerom one, two..."

Oh, so her hive already had symbols. Furthermore, they're familiar with the extremely important zero... ah, but these... uh, they look nothing like the numbers we're used to, but I guess they would be usable?

Ah, but some of them include dots and free-floating symbols here or there. In otherwords, they're quite distinct from each other, which is good, but they don't flow as easily as the numbers we're used to.

After all, with the sometimes exception of the 4m you can draw any arabic number with a single trace.

"Lyann, can you brew some tea for her, please?"
"Of course." - then she turns towards Miel - "Would you like a herbal mix?"
"Ah, I do have my own, please wait..."

The dried herbs she picks out from a small bag smell so sweet it makes us slightly worried about their freshness (spolt things often smell sweet).

"Would you like some honey to go with your tea?"
"Yes please!" - she answers promptly, so Lyann takes out a honey jar from her inventory.

We keep looking over the documents for a bit longer, but don't see any more mistakes. With that, we're free to do some extra work.

There's three trade companies requesting permission to stablish new trade routes to the Heavenly Empire, and two asking for permission to trade to the city-state of Ajanasi, a prominent settlement in the marshlands of the east.

Well, it would help bring exotic goods and luxuries, which would raise Mako's popularity with the middle and upper classes, but few necessities.

>Send them all to Ren's kingdom instead, Its important to lower the price of foodstuff to improve everyone's well-being.
>Its not as if the people is going hungry. Its fine to enjoy some luxuries every once in a while.

Alright, let's okay this commercial house's request.

Let's see... Ajanasi exports luxury stuff that can't be found anywhere but on their lands and foodgeons, while importing basic materials and foodstuffs.

Uhmm... their food sufficiency looks pretty bad, It surely would be a SHAME if some outside power spammed commercial routes unto their cities and got them dependant on said routes to continue feeding their people. Why, it may even led to a completely bloddless capitulation and conquest.

...well, I have a feeling Mako would karate-chop our head (gently) if we suggested such a thing...

>Suggest it anyway

How about: "Met a dungeon faery, did some actual ministerial work" as thread description?

With the reasoning that if we don't do it first, someone less savory would do it to them.

It really is our job to suggest for ways for her empire to profit, after all. What she does with the information is up to her.

Alright, we're going through with it.

*** A little later ***

PAF!

As expected, we got (gently) karate-chopped, uh?

"Eldric, bad." - our lovely empress admonishes us - "We do not plan to take over other people's realms."
"But, you know, their food self-sufficiency is bad, so..."

eh, trade conquest is to be expected from empires. At least Mako's not enslaving or killing the locals.

>A lot of children are going hungry

"R-really?" - our cute empress looks at us with a deeply worried expression
"In this kind of situation, the poorer families have issues feeding themselves, bringing food to the table, so sadly, yes."
"Uuuh~ I understand." - she says, and seems to shrink a little bit

Let's kiss her. Yup

We kiss her.

"Ah, Eldric?"
"You're so kind." - we kiss her again
"Eldric...!" - she says while blushing beautifully
"Don't worry, it'll be for the best. For them too."
"...alright." - she smiles a little bit

Well, we better make sure we're not lying. We need to send food trains that will make the lives of the common citizens better, and make sure everyone knows where they're coming from.

Thus, we go back to the office after giving our cute empress another little kiss, and sit to check on the caravans, adding some recommendations on their permits.

Now that we have done that and its a little later in the day, we could...

>Go check on Yin, whose work day should just be starting
>Go hae lunch with Zoe and Portia in Albion, and ask them about the new probe

We pick up Kya, and give Mako a small kiss before leaving.

"Eldric, come back quickly, alright?" - she asks
"I will come back tonight."
"Alright." - she nods softly

Let's give her another little kiss... there we go.

We emerge from the peach tree in Ren's garden, as usual, but don't see her anywhere, thus head straight to the office.

"Master!" - calls out Rosa with a smile

Soon, we're crowded by a group of cute winged girls.

"Master, I've been working hard." - says one
"Me too! Me too!" - says another
"Yes, yes. You're all good girls." - we caress their heads gently until they let us through

It took a couple of minutes, actually.

"Sir, thank you for coming." - says Yin as she bows, already on her knees

Soft... Ah, as usual, that dress Ren assigned as her uniform is marv- I mean, dangerous, in many ways.

"I am sorry for making you wait. What do you have for me?"

She shows us a few reports, and a couple of forms that need our stamp.

From the documents:

The aqualabs have grinded out a new magic circuit using palladium, which can be used to decrease loss of magical energy to below what is measurable with current instrumentation.

They want permission to move to prototyping a small, quick ship using it as a base, or a strong forcefield to protect current rockitships against fire from below.

>The fast ship. Recon is important
>The forcefield. We did lose quite a few ships during the battle outside Alquia

The forgemasters have succeeded in standarizing the production of palladium, and wish to upgrade the old furnaces. It will turn palladium into a reliably-produced resource, but the initial investment is as costly as two new rockitships.

As an alternative, the high priest believes he can create a dungeon where palladium drops in some way or another, but wants funding for the initial attempts. It would be quite costly and there's no guarantees, but if it works, it will obviously make palladium into a widely accessible material.

>Upgrade the furnaces. We want to be able to control the source, after all
>Build the dungeon. Big risk, big reward

We stamp the right forms, and hand them back to Yin.

"This should do."
"Thank you sir."
"Is there anything else?"
"Ah... I believe that is all...?" - she says while fidgeting and blushing a little.

Her tails naturally flow forth as if to hide her.

"Is there anything else?" - we ask again
"Uhmm... l-lunch?"
"Lunch... is it?"

Well, she wouldn't be this bothered if it was 'just lunch', so she's asking us for some skinship, isn't she?

>Well, we can't deny our hard-working foxgirl's request, can we? (lewd)

"Nina, come here."
"Ye~s" - replies our cute pet as she walks over towards us happily

Good girl, let's rub her fluffy hair a bit.

"I want you girls to find out the best, tastiest places to eat at. Can you do that for me?"
"I-is it a mission?!" - she gets into serious mode

Serious mode is pretty much the same as her regular mode, plus something like a frown on her face. Yup, it looks cute, anyway.

"...,yes. Here's some money."
"You can count on us!" - she declares proudly

"Yes!" - they all look pretty excited about this
"Alright, off you go, now."
"Yes Master!" - they rush out, trying to convince each other on which kinds of foods to go for

Well, this is a coastal city, so the foodgeon drop rate is heavily lopsided towards seafood, but as the capital, it receives imports from many distant places, both domestic and international, after all.

Uhmm... that being said, they seemed to enjoy seafood a lot, didn't they? Then again, it may be because we took them to a seafood place. Memories can heavily influence your enjoyment of food or drink, after all.

As for our own lunch...

We look at Yin, and the fox girl blushes while smiling slightly

Yup, delicious.

"Of course." - says Miel
"That sounds rather interesting." - says Kya as she nods
"Enjoy yourselves." - adds Lyann with a smile, then walks over and kisses us

"We'll meet at the house in the evening, have dinner, and go visit Mako." - we explain, and kiss them each as they leave

We smooch the harpies on the forehead, though a couple seem a little dissapointed by it.

"Alright." - we say to ourselves as the girls leave us and Yin alone
