You don't know when you died, or even how it happened for that matter. You just know you've been floating around as this weird chained ghost for what seems like years. At first it was great to be able to fly around without any worries but it got old quickly. So for the past years you've just floated over the city day in and day out. But recently that's changed. For months the chain seems to have started falling out along with a part of your chest! It's finally given and now you lie here thrashing, gasping for a few breaths as a white viscous fluid covers you. It's agonizing as if your very body is trying to destroy itself from the inside out.

As it does so you start to remember things. The first thing is what you lived for, what was it again?

>>THE NEED! You had the need for speed! You remember working all the time on your bike and car just to get a little more out of them.
>>Gaming and Reading. You spent most of your time doing simple hobbies you enjoyed. Sitting by a fire with an open book. Painting figurines.
>>Working. You enjoyed working hard, and doing a job well. Yeah you weren't that great at parties.
>>Professional Friend. You were that guy that was always at the party, and making people laugh. But no one really knew where you came from.

Oh the need. Speed is what you craved. It was all consuming. You constantly worked on your bike and muscle car. You told yourself this was the last time, that it was getting to dangerous. But the more you fought it the more you desired it. The icy night air stinging the skin, the danger of it all. It was the best damn feeling of your life, and you loved every second. Maybe it's what took you in the end. You fell your body begin to break and form at the same time. Your bones growing longer and larger. Becoming lithe but powerful.

>You gained [Sonído]

What else were you like?

>>Strong Willed. You didn't take shit from no one and stood by your beliefs no matter what trouble it might cause.
>>Battle Hungry. You brawl a lot. You were always prowling for someone tougher to fight.
>>Protective. You fought for those you cared about. If someone wanted them it would be over your dead body.

You were strong willed. You remember getting into fights with others who insulted those close to you, and butting heads with those who went against you. They had no right to. The only who would define you was you dammit. This meant you didn't have a lot of friends, breaking such things over small acts. But those who kept you found a steadfast friend for life. You were a good friend, and a dangerous enemy who could hold a grudge.

>You've gained [Subdermal Armor] - Your skin is stronger then normal.

You remember a little about your parents, it's fuzzy but there. You were born in Germany but raised in the good old US. Your mom was a happy go lucky German immigrant who also saw the brighter side of life. Dad was a proud patriot who met mom while stationed in Germany, after coming back he worked in a mechanics shop and taught you everything you know. But eventually you grew up moved out fell in love. You get flashes of a fight. A women leaving in a storm, searching with your motorcycle. Then tracks, a horn, bright lights and emptiness.

>>You've gained [Recuerda] - This hollow can remember its life without destroying itself.

Your form begins to finalize you're large about two stories tall. With a thin tail ending in a tuff of fur. You have hooves, but your hands are clawed. You see your face in a reflection. Your face is covered in some sort of mask, it looks like the mix between the skulls of a Ram and a Saber tooth. Able to switch between a bipedal, and quadrupedal stance without problem.

You begin to panic but suddenly you feel a powerful hunger almost like a punch to the gut and rush forward as if being pulled somewhere. You stop, around a corner is a delinquent. He's shouting at someone under a light but they ignore him. You see he has a chain like you did.

This hunger it's like nothing you've ever felt before. The new hole in your chest aches as if stabbed. Your stomach feels like a fire that'll kill you if not doused. You try to fight it you really do, but you can't help it. It just hurts so much. Your rush forward from behind the building. He spots you and tries to run, but its already to late as you drop to all fours and pounce. You mutter. "I'm sorry." Your large dagger like fangs sink into him as you tear him apart. You hate to say it but you relish it. The pain growing less severe every bite till there's nothing left. With one final swallow you stand again. Only to hear clapping, you turn around to face another monster like yourself. He approaches while slow clapping.

"Well that's quite the show. Always amazing to see how first timers react. You were quite entertaining, almost no hesitation too!"

You turn towards the monstrous figure, both scared but curious about your similarities. You speak up, no longer afraid. "Just what the hell are you?"

"My you've got a mouth. And as for what you are is a Hollow boy. We're lost souls who devour other souls like the Plus you just devoured." He says with a sneer. "Do we go anywhere?" You ask. "Well there is Hueco Mundo, we can travel there if we try hard enough but you won't need to." His tone takes on a more malevolent tone. "You see I had my eye on that morsel, before you stepped in. But you'll have to do he says." The large lizard Hollow sighs before charging.

>16 (best of three in the future)
You aren't just sit here and die... AGAIN! All while some arrogant bastard tries to eat you. You drop your head and start charging him back. "Oh so you've got some spine after all." He says tauntingly. He moves out of the way at the last minute sending you into a building. You get your sense back and pounce at him, he dodges at the last moment. But your claws still manage to take a chunk out of his side. "Ahh you bastard!" He shouts. He tries to hit you but you both lock hands instead trying to overpower each other. Your reflexes have always been good, have to be when you drive at 120mph. Your new horns catch your eyes. You see his claws glowing and try to do the same. But instead you try and make your horns stronger. The begin to glow brightly and he adopts a panicked look. With his arms held in place your head lunges forward goring him on your horns. He screams and struggles for a few moments before falling limp.

>You've gained [Cornear] - You channel your Reiatsu into your horns, giving them unnatural strength and toughness. Penetrating those with less Reiastu easily.

You remove your horns, and without hesitation begin to devour the body. It's far more flavorful, and filling then the "Plus" from earlier. As you devour it you feel your muscles growing stronger, which only makes you tear in faster. You think about what your horns, as you wonder what that power was the word "Reiatsu" enters your mind.

You wonder the city for several more hours, dashing down streets, leaping across the roof tops. Along the way you encounter several more Hollows that attack on site and some stray Pluses. You were reluctant, but as the void inside is satisfied more, and you grow a little stronger you become more willing. You also discover you can cover short distances almost instantly. But you stopped it quickly as it was taking more out of you then you were getting. You leap to a rooftop sensing something below. You hope it's more aggressive Hollows. They're much more filling, and you don't feel as bad. You do question if you're becoming a bit to willing about cannibalism though.

.>You've gained [Pesquisa] - The power to detect, pinpoint, and measure Reiatsu.

As you look down you see not one but three Hollows, all laughing in and closing in on a weaker Hollow. "Please get away." She says. You tell from her voice. She reminds you of what a humanoid Okapi might look like. The other just laugh while continuing their approach planning to devour her.

Sure you eaten some Hollows but that was different they attacked you, you aren't just going to stand by and let it happen to someone else. You use Sonído and appear behind one of the hollows a large bird like one, and and cut him in half with your claws. The crab like Hollow which seems to be the leader hits you in the side of your head. You're sent flying as you feel your mask crack and blood fill your mouth. You try to push yourself up. But as soon as you do you see the third Hollow, a manticore like one, leaping at you. But he's blown to the side at the last moment by a ball made of Reiatsu. You for the source which seems to be the Okapi. The crab notices too and rushes her. "You bitch!" He yells before rearing back to hit her. You reach out instinctively and shout "Escudo Final!" The blow connect with her stomach, but nothing happens to her. Instead you're the one blown off your feet as you feel the punch. She grabs the Hollow's arms and headbutts him cracking both his mask and yours. They begin to grapple but he's easily overpowering her.

The manticore is getting back up though. How do you finish this?

You pull yourself up again the blow you took from absorbing her headbutt still ringing in your ears. You steady yourself as you charge the manticore, you can take the blows for her if it's only one attacker, but two would do you both in. The manticore is caught off guard as you bash into his side and full speed tumbling through the wall of a parking garage. You roll your shoulder with a popping sound as he gets backs up you say. "What you didn't see that coming?" He roars charging you, which you do in turn. But instead of grappling you use dodge at the last moment careening your arm into his face. Causing cracks to splinter out from the mask. You use one hand to grab his neck as the one that hit him grabs his head. With all your might you pull on the Hollow as he lets out a piercing shriek. His neck finally gives as you pull off his head spine included. You throw it into a nearby dumpster.

You turn back towards the crab and okapi to find him on top of her about to go in for the kill. You use Sonído to appear behind him before you throw him off and curb stomp his head to paste. You turnaround to the okapi and offer her a hand which she tentatively takes. "Thank you." She says trying to catch her breath.

"What's your name?" You ask. "I don't have one. You?" She responds sadly.

You can literally treat them however you want. You can use them as meat shields or slaves, just have to make sure they don't runaway. Or you can have a more formal I'm the boss relationship, or just be friends. Nothing says you can't treat them well and be a monster to everyone else either.

Also I forgot Hennessy's just going to be used as the last name that's probably never mentioned.

You sit down across from her after piling up the corpses of the Hollows. She seems hesitant but as she sees you aren't pulling her leg she begins to devour the bird hollow, slowly at first but after a few moments she begins to tear into it voraciously like she's starved. While you eat yours you take the chance to get a better look at her. Her form is lithe, but also stout in stature. The coloring across of her body is a light sky blue with white stripes on her limbs. Like you her feet are hooves, but she's completely bipedal and her hands end in four fingers instead of five claws like yours. Her mask is like a regular Okapi. He regard her for a few moments before speaking finally. "You're eating like you're starved. Also what was that about back there, who are you anyway?" She looks backup surprised as if she was so consumed with eating she forgot you were there. "Oh sorry, I guess I got carried away." She says as she take the last bite of the bird hollow, and you take yours. "I was attacked by those jerks when I left Hueco Mundo. They decided I'd be an easy meal." You ask her why'd they think that. "Oh! You must be new, though I'm only four weeks old so I guess that makes us both new." She begins eat part of the remaining crab Hollow as you cut it into equal halves. "That's simple cause I'm a female Hollow. You haven't been around long but you'll realize there ain't many of us. No one knows why but we're weaker then male Hollows so we make easy prey. I'm actually older then most others like me! I've been hiding in Hueco Mundo, but had to leave to finally hunt." You finish the last bite of your hollow and decide to address the Okapi in the room. "So what's your name." She seems a little shocked for a moment before saying. "Umm I don't have one, most Hollows don't remember, make their own, or are given them. You?"

You don't recall your name when you were alive, but a name comes to your mind. "Neo'verst Hennessy, but just say Neo or Verst." "Sure thing Verst." As you get up so does she. You test something and walk a little north, looking behind you confirm she is following you. She notices and looks a little embarrassed. "So can I follow you."

You regard her for a few moments. You can feel your hole ache the more you think about abandoning her, your protective side just not allowing it. With a deep sigh you say. "Yeah you can come along!" To which she replies with a cheer and ground shaking hop. "But let's make somethings clear I'm the boss what I say goes, alright." You got it boss she says with a salute falling in line. "Hope you can keep up." You say before taking off.

>Subordinate Gained [Caprice
Name: Caprice
Type: Base Hollow
Mask: Okapi Skull.
Refers to you as: Boss.
Powers:
[Regeneration] - All Hollows regenerate incredibly fast, and won’t die as long they have the Reiatsu to heal wounds, or suffer a incredibly debilitating injury.
[Pesquisa] - The power to detect, pinpoint, and measure Reiatsu.
[Supresión] - This Hollow can suppress part of their Reiatsu making themselves seem weaker.
[Bola De Alma] - The Hollow channels their Reiatsu into a ball which they can throw as great speeds.

Appearance:
[Base Hollow] - Her form is lithe, but also stout in stature. The coloring across of her body is a light sky blue with white stripes on her limbs. Like you her feet are hooves, but she's completely bipedal and her hands end in four fingers instead of five claws like yours. Her mask is like a regular Okapi.

You spend the next several days with Caprice hunting down stray Pluses and Hollows looking for an easy meal. You've developed a good strategy. She waits out in the open seeming lost. When a Hollow takes the bait you circle around back while she runs away and pounce on it tearing it to shreds. If a Hollow manages to get a blow in on her you use Escudo Final to absorb it while she uses that Bola De Alma of hers. It's pretty powerful actually, she's able to control how strong it is and at max it feels like being hit with a cannonball. Both of you have grown a stronger from your feedings as well.

You've also had the chance to talk with her over the past several days about being Hollow and some of the ends and outs. Apparently Hueco Mundo's a pretty dangerous place with the surface being filled with Hollows called Adjuchas and a rare form called Vasto Lorde. The underground is the only real place for weaker Hollows, and some Adjuchas claim parts as their territory enforcing "laws" of their own or making meeting places. There's also spirits that hunt Hollows called Shinigami, and Quincies. But american Hollows like yourself just call them the Ferrymen.

Now today you've come faced to face with one. You were setting your trap out again, and now you're both facing a man in black oriental robes with a katana who's slow clapping. "Well well well, consider me impressed I'd wondered why this areas activity was dropping so low. Looks like I have you duo to think. But alas a job is a job." He says while unsheathing his sword.

If this is one of the legendary Ferrymen Caprice told you about you want to see what one can do. You use Sonído to appear behind him and slash down. Your hear mutter "Hohō" under his breath and faster then you can see he's turned around and blocked your blow, a smirk splits his face as he struggles but succeeds at stopping your claws from sinking into him. "Well you're faster then I expected I'll give you that." He says nonchalantly while out of the corner of your eye you see Caprice moving behind him, she forms her Bola De Alma and throws it. But at the last moment he swings you around and uses you to absorb the blow. He uses Hohō again and appears in front of Caprice. She strikes him but he merely turns his head back popping it. A moment later he's standing level with her face and kicks here through a nearby wall.

He sheathes the katana. "A shame I'd hoped for a real fight, but this will have to do." You find your feet again. "Who are you?" You ask.

He looks at you again without a care. "My name is Danuja, 3rd seat of 10th division of the Gotei 13."

"So mister Ferryman that suppose to mean something to me, or is that just the toll for the canoe ride!" You shout trying to get his attention as you see Caprice rising out of the ruble suppressing her Reiatsu to near dead levels. He looks at you like someone looks at the scum on their boot. "Of course a monster from a backwards country like you wouldn't know properly about the Shinigami. The Gotei 13 is an organization dedicated to helping regulate the flow of souls an destroying your ilk. But fear not you will know peace soon." He says as Caprice's fist pounds him into the ground. She hits him a few more times before he manages to push him back. He doesn't use Hohō this time and you see one of legs is broken. His katana also lies in the crater Caprice pummeled him into.

"Bastards." He shouts while struggling to breath. "I'll get you back for this!" He screams as he tries to flee. But you won't let that happen you use Sonído to appear in front of him and try to stab him in the chest, he stops you with his hands. "You fucker it'll take more then that to ki" His speech is cutoff as Caprice grabs his arms and bites off his head from behind.

He drops dead blood gushing from the stump that was his neck, the sword in the crater cracking before exploding in white light. You both descend on the corpse, each bite driving you both further. If you had to compare it Hollows and Pluses would be fast food, while this, now this is a gourmet meal made by a world renowned chef. You and Caprice can both feel yourselves growing stronger with each bite. His Reiatsu going down with him like a refreshing drink that becomes apart of you with every swig. It's so good you'd swear it's alcoholic.

Remember that in early Bleach, the standard tactic presented for killing Hollows was to get the drop on them and destroy the mask with one strike.
The powercreep kind of killed that concept, but it seems reasonable that a bit of luck and a surprise attack could take out an opponent above ones nominal weight class.

You quickly run from the city and don't stop till you both reach a small town. You both sit down by a bus full of people you knocked into a tree eating the Pluses that emerge. You bring up the question to her if you should try to eat more Shinigami. She laughs at you, when she realizes you aren't. "Oh you're serious." She puts the remaining half of the Plus she's eating down. "Look boss I'm going to be honest with you, we got lucky. Back there was probably some noble kid who probably bought his way in. Now sure he had strong Reiatsu but he didn't have the moves. Plus he did the one thing you never do, he let his guard down because he thought we were no threat. So no I don't think we should go hunting more! That just wasn't a fight we could win fairly, that was luck." You continue eating as you consider her words. She's right you need to be stronger both of you if you want to survive.

"Can those Vasto Lorde you mentioned help train use?" She actually does an impressive spit take with the Plus intestines at that. "Okay now I know you're joking. Look Vasto Lorde are incredibly rare you used to be able to count them on one hand. But after that Aizen guy there're even less now. The only one that might have was Tier Harribel and she's busy ruling Hueco Mundo. Not to even mention the stories I've heard of ones that are so powerful their presence can kill lesser Hollows. Thankfully they're few and hard to find.

With that chat over you both train your powers for the next few days. You manage to gain some control over Sonído that's not just instinctual. You also made a new skill to strengthen your body against blows you might take in the future using your Reiatsu.

>[Calcificación] - The user spreads their Reiatsu through their body hardening it momentarily against strikes.

Caprice meanwhile trains her body using her new Reiatsu to make herself stronger and faster. The Difference is quite large from when you first met her, now you guess she could overpower a newly formed male Hollow.

Several more days had past and now we found ourselves in Hueco Mundo home of the Hollows. I looked down at the two Adjuchas glaring at me, I knew I was larger but they were far stronger. With a quick gesture they let me through. The entrance lead inside a plateau, Inside which scurried hundreds of Hollows. "Tell me again why everyone isn't eating each other again?" I asked. Caprice looked exasperated but answered anyway. "These places are able to work because strong Hollows claim an area as their territory. They then make weaker but still strong Hollows into their subordinates. They enforce what laws they want and in exchange for following them you can stay without being eaten." I looked around the place and noticed while everyone wasn't hostile they were certainly on guard and wanted to butt heads. "So what happens if a strong Hollow like the boss decides to break some rules."

She actually got a little nervous and let out a meek chuckle. "Yeah let's hope that doesn't happen, haha." My that's reassuring you think. You look around trying to see what the purpose of a place like this is, then it clicks as you stare at a group. They were talking about some disaster and how there should be an influx of souls soon, above them are a group of Adjuchas listening. So information was the name of the game, Hollows that have been out bring in information, the "guards" overhear and bring it to the kingpin, and if no one plays nice they get eaten, but if they do play nice they get about as safe a place to rest as you can get as a Hollow. "So tell me how do I get information from here." You ask. "Well that's easy." She tells you with a smile, well you assume kind of hard with the mask. "Challenges. That's the rule of THIS place at least. No fights to the death, but you can challenge them to a fight or something of your choosing. If they don't keep up their bargain they're eaten. Of course we could always wait underneath in the forest for some that're leaving though there and ambush them." She adds with a mischievous tone. Okay you might be a bad influence.

The answer is obvious of course a race, just thinking about it sends shutters through your body and sets your blood alight. You find a feline looking Hallow gloating about how fast they are lets put that to the test shall we. "Hey!" You shout out grabbing his attention. "Let's see if you're really as fast you say you are. You, me race. winner takes what they want." He regards you coolly for a moment. "Ha I could beat a brute like you in my sleep! Very well, I'm sure your soul'll go down smooth." You make your way towards a higher area around the top of the interior there is a thin strip of ground running around the entire inside of the plateau. You both pick a starting area and crouch down. A nearby Adjucha notices and acts as a referee. "GO!" You both dash out in quadrupedal stances. He's far in front of you being more used to his body and the stance, but you're gaining on him. This. This is it. What you lived for. The rush is intoxicating the wind whipping past your face your nonexistent heart pounding in your ears. The feeling of your coiling muscles springing forward as you close the gap this was something worth living for. Your blood itself feels like it's on fire as he starts to speed up to noticing you're on him. He jumps forward coming down and crushing the thin path causing it to tumble down to the cave floor. "Fine two can play at that came." You think, as you channel your Reiatsu into your claws. With a quick motion you fling yourself over the side using the soul power in your claws to keep you clinging along the wall. Now catching up to him once more. It's the last lap you see the finish line in the distance. You fling yourself back on the path side by side with the Hollow. You aren't going to make it in time, but you have a ace up your sleeve. As you close in you use Sonído to boost yourself to the finish line. You don't really feel bad about it, it's no different then using nitrous in a drag race.

The Hollow meanwhile stands there dumbfounded. "No! You cheated! You shouldn't know Sonído!" He closes in on you but stops suddenly. The Adjucha is looming over behind you. "You wouldn't be trying to back out of your deal now would you?" The Hollow grumbles and tells you some information. Apparently there was a disaster out in some Mexican city, and there's going to be an influx of souls. A bunch of hollows are going, but most are grouping up since the Ferrymen will likely be waiting for Hollows to show.

Gillians commonly attack in a group, and one is powerful enough to be a challenge for a Lieutenant of the Gotei 13. Gillians typically arrive in the Human World through the use of spatial distortions called Kūmon (空門, lit. "Air Gate").[26]

I was going from what was shown in series. Also keep in mind they are a challenge for a LT at 1/5th power due to being sealed to keep them from killing living people from sheer presence.
>>
>>3007141
Pretty sure that's captains. But I also wanted to remind you guys it's been over 15 years since the thousand year blood war, so they lost a lot of heavy hitters and the Shinigami have settled back into routine kinda.
>>
>>3007176
No, both lts and captains are sealed. Look at grommjow’s attack. That said Lts threw down and won against adjuchas class arrancar easily, this was shown repeatedly. We’re a long long ducking way from being able to beat one clean.
>>
>>3007128
At the beginning of the series they were. They sure as hell became little more than speedbumps by the time the cast was assaulting Aizen's fortress.
>>
>>3007204
Depends on the specefic Lieutenant though. Plus isn't the generation of captains and lts shown on the show described as complete freaks by normal standards, and that only the very first generation of shinigami captains are considered stronger?
>>
Switching topics for a second, I'm for building up a following but I'd like to focus on quality over quantity this early in if possible. Hunting down a strong one over dominating a small group of normal hollow basically.

After how close your last run in was, and the fact you had to come here because of it, you decide to ignore the it for now. So to pass the time and try to get some better information you challenge several more Hollows to races. You beat them all handily, but they don't have much interesting to say. The first tells you about a giant gang fight that broke out in Mexico city but you're partial to think that had something to do with what the cat Hollow told you. The second tells you about some rumors he heard about how a bunch of Adjuchas are sick of Harribel and the Arrancars are gathering to try and attack them. The Third is a older Hollow who says he doesn't have any info for you, so instead he tells you some old legends about ancient "super" Hollows who didn't fall into any of the known menos categories. The fourth tells you about a group of European humans that have found a way to bind souls to objects and have been causing trouble for Hollows and Ferrymen alike. After this everyone seems to caught on to your tricks and no one else is willing to race you anymore. You make your way back over to Caprice who's been waiting for you to finish up. "Well shit can't things be easy for once?" You ask.

"That's how life as a Hollow is boss, taking risk and hoping you don't run into the bigger fish." She tells plainly. "Okay just hypothetically, if we gather some Hollows for a group to go check out that disaster where could we find some?" You say exasperated. She hums for a few moments thinking. "Well I'd say you're best bet would be to find some more female Hollows or find a random Hollow to save."

"Weren't you the one who said, and I quote. "Female Hollows are RARE and WEAK" so why would we try to find more of them?"

"Because they're desperate." She says while tapping her mask. "Most would rather eat them, let alone bring them along on a raid like this. So they jump at the opportunity to be useful, and they'll poss less of a threat if they betray you along with being less likely to. This is also why it'd be preferable to save them, if you bullied a Hollow into helping they want to betray you, but if you save one they'd feel like they owe you. Just an Idea though you do you."

It has its perks but you still aren't even sure about going.

You decide to put the disaster on the back burner for now It probably won't be going anywhere, at least in the time for what you want to do. You want to hear more about these "super" Hollows, most laugh you off when you bring them up. But a group of older Hollows is eventually willing to tell you what they know. They sit down and tell it's an old legend so will take sometime. Everyone knew about the basic evolution of Hollows, base, Gillian, Adjucha, then finally Vasto Lorde, but Aizen and Starrk changed that Aizen showed through artificial means that new forms could be achieved, and Starrk showed this could also happen through natural means. It caused many Hollows to recall ancient tales of Hollows like any classes of Menos. Hollows bodies went on for miles, Hollows without even mask fragments, Hollows who's mask became their face. But sadly no one has ever seen these Hollows or at least lived to tell about.

Harem jokes aside, Caprice has a point. Finding hollows that would be desperate to join for the sake of survival seems like a good way to instill loyalty. Hell, Caprice has been helpful so far despite being weak initially. A new member or two would be manageable

Aizen was the secret kind of good guy but went so hard on the "the end justify the means" path that the things he does to achieve his goals make him a complete monster in the process
The Quincies and Yhwh end up having a suprisingly noble goal but most of them are also sadist monsters just kind of there for the ride out of fun/loyalty with one of their strongest not even believing Yhwh's goal was actually possible and really just wanted to see change, even if it was just the world burning
Soul Society is practically BBEG and the only reason anyone would ever hesitate to destroy it is because they've wormed themselves so far into the system that getting rid of it would cause such massive damage and catastrophe on the human plane it just wouldn't be worth the effort to replace it for a better afterlife system.
Hollows are just straight up monsters that eat people and yet they somehow ended up being the least bad thing in the whole setting.

You decide you've spent enough time listening to the fanciful tales of old Hollows. You know one thing though there's safety in numbers, if you gathered up some more Hollows maybe the Ferrymen would be less likely to tangle with you. At least you hope so. But why bother with the mexico disaster when you can make your own with a smaller crew.

You spend the next couple of hours. Looking around the place for a female Hollow, you begin to lose hope when you finally find a female Hollow hiding in a corner. You consider talking to her now, but it would be better to rescue her life that way she owed you. You won't have to wait long though you can see the same starving hunger in her eyes that Caprice had when you first met her. She's probably stayed holed up here cause it's safe but has no choice but to hunt now. While you wait for her to leave you get a look at her features. Her Hollow form is a long serpent about the length of two school buses ending in a tail that turns into a razor sharp bone dagger. Her scales are black with a red underbelly. Her mask looks like a viper skull with a row of swept back spikes running down the middle.

Finally she seems on the verge of breaking and burrows underneath the sand to leave for a better place to leave Hueco Mundo. You and Caprice make your way underground to the forest quickly and find her already being chased by five newly formed Hollows. She stops to rear back a white ball forming in her mouth. She quickly snaps down on it creating a blinding flash that barely leaves you enough time to cover your eyes while blinding the others. Uncovering your eyes you find a Hollow lashes out at her only for his claws to go through her like a ghost. Her tail meanwhile buries itself in his chest.

Eh. Aizen was kind of an asshole but the amount of souls/lives/afterlives damned by soul society is so high that he could have nuked Japan and still came out far on top in a numbers game.
He basically killed or tried to kill:
Evil council
Soul eating monsters that upon him killing them will release all of the souls into the afterlife
Soldiers of a tyrannical regime
Subordinate that backstabbed him
Idiot being manipulated by tyrannical regime
City of a few thousand people in order to destroy a tyrannical regime oppressing at least 8+ billion people (assuming western SS branch covers anywhere not in Asia and the amount on Earth is roughly equal to the amount on HM and SS)

Been a while since I read bleach but how did they damn souls, other then the ones they sent to hell.
>>
>>3008118
The issue is everyone he tried to kill was so far removed from the badness that if he ahd SHARED he'd have turned most of them to his cause. The SS were the good guys for so long because no one knew how bad the highest of high of them was, not even Unohana or OMG.
>>
>>3008135
I THINK he was referring to the Soul King, who's basically the Elder God from Legacy of Kane.
>>3008140
This.
Aizen's mistake was in his arrogance, complexity addiction, and willingness to just gleefully murder people who have nothing to do with the cunts he was rebelling against.
>>
>>3008156
But the soul king doesn't eat souls or anything. He's the one who regulates the flow between worlds. Without him everything basically implodes. That's also why quincies were such a problem cause they destroyed the Hollows souls instead of purifying them like the Shinigami.
>>
>>3008054
>Help her she seems useful.
>>
>>3008135
Metaphorical damn instead of literal damn. ( I saw this misunderstanding coming so i really shoudl have known better) The afterlife is a fucking slum worse than shantytowns in Brazil because at least they have the sweet release of death. The nobles can murder anyone they want. Anyone with bright ideas is tortured, imprisoned, or both. Pluses have to wait upon shinigami ferry em to the afterlife in order to not become a hollow but the shinigami don't actually give a shit about that sinc ethey're really just trying to keep thier numbers balanced. This means souls (like ours atm) are only hollows because SS is specifically choosing not to take them into the afterlife that they wouldn't need to get to if it wasn't for SS.
>>3008140
Tousen even did. I think Aizen just didn't trust anyone to not fuck things up. Touzen only qualified because he saw firsthand the guy getting fucked over by nobles so he could trust him somewhat. Most morally good people if they were in SS might do something dumb like ask about it and blow Aizen's cover.
I'm assuming OMG is Captain Oldman and he knew damn well what they are which is why he was contemplating how they're all considered respectable now before he died. Unohana is old enough to know better with her past although I'll give her a benefit of the doubt despite her being one of the elder captains that remembered when Shinigami were just bandits slaughtering innocents whenever they pleased.
>>3008156
There's also all of the unknown ramifications from fucking up the world into 4 realms. Thanks for pointing that out. If it wasn't for burn the witch i'd even say that hollows might not even be able to form since the ghosts would already automatically BE in the afterlife instead of having to manually be ferried there.
>>
>>3008054
>Help her she seems useful.
>>
>>3008178
Hey what's burn the witch and why does it confirm that souls have to be manually taken to the afterlife?
>>
>>3008178
>I'm assuming OMG is Captain Oldman
Yup, sort for Old Man Genocide. To be fair from what I remember he didn't know about the truth about the soul king and thought soul society was worth defending. At the same time, while I like OMG as a character, people need to remember that he's not only been part of the Goati 13 since its founding, he's been its leader and has been part of or known about travesties that would make the holocaust look like child's play, for most of the 13's existence, it has been a genocidal warmachine of unprecedented levrls of violence up until only relatively recently. The captain-commander, looking at all the things he's done in the past, is just as much of a monster as the higher ups and is quite literally, by anyone's definition, worse than hitler.
>>
>>3008192
Kubo made a one shot about witches in London and how they deal with dragons and It was a stealth bleach chapter. London has the western soul society and Eastern soul society(bleach) are known as the eastern barbarians that didn't even domesticate their dragons (Hollows Or at least they obviously look like hollows) The entire one shot basically calls SS in bleach a bunch of nooblords
>>
>>3008200
>is quite literally, by anyone's definition, worse than hitler.
Now I feel the need to point out, in sufficient scale, one can be worse than ol' Uncle Adolf and still qualify as a hero. But it requires a MASSIVE scale, and the only one I can quickly think of is Paul Muad'dib, who freely describes himself as being such.
>>
>>3008210
That actually sounds pretty cool.
Kubo seems like he's not necessarily an awful writer, just one ill-suited to the longform, ongoing storytelling that a shonen fightan manga demands.
>>
>>3008200
I guess it's possible he didn't realize but it would take him being pretty dense about the entire world suddenly being split asunder, somehow leaving some previously unknown douches in charge with obscene amounts of power,a bunch of quincies claiming blood vengeance for SS murdering their leader's father, and so on. He could be that dense but I think he's had more than enough time to reflect upon events to have figured things out. Plus Captain Flowers learned about the soul king once he got his position in the LNs so it's probably knowledge required of the head of the shinigami.
>>3008216
It's surprising how much dumb shit actually turned out to make sense if you dig deep enough. I guess maybe his editors were going in the wrong direction with him slightly? I randomly learned this the other month.

>The Hogyoku was definitely inspired by the Cintamani. Interestingly enough, the Japanese version of that seems to be the Nyoi-Hoju, or just Hoju. Apparently, the kanji for "-ju" and "-gyoku" both mean "jewel", so "Hoju" and "Hogyoku" are practically synonyms. Kubo might have also chosen the term "Hogyoku" as a reference to "Hogyo", a term which traditionally denotes the death of a god/emperor.

>Also, the deity directly connected to the Hoju is called, wait for it, Aizen Myo-o. Aizen Myo-o has a shrine at Kakuonji Temple, in the city of Kamakura. Kamakura used to be the de-facto capital of Japan. Also in Kamakura is the Zuisen-ji, the "funeral temple" of the ancient rulers of Kamakura, who were known as "kubō".

>Tldr; Aizen and his wish-fulfilling sphere, the Hoju, reside in Kamakura, a city formerly ruled by the kubō."
>>
>>3008254
>>3008216
Oh yeah, you've gotta give kubo props for stuff like that. Despite the mess Bleach ends up being in some ways, Kubo definitely knows how to add details and little twists to his story and characters, as well as give double meanings to everything, even stuff like names.
>>
>>3008210
I mange to find an online version of Burn the Witch and can't see why you would think dragons are hollows. They don't really seem to share any major characteristics.
>>
>>3008429
(Assuming I'm not remembering this wrong) They were talking about how Shinigami kill theirs instead of domesticating. What do shinigami kill?
>>
You decide she's got some good skills and could actually be a lot of use to you if used right. You nod to Caprice and rush in while she throws one of her soul balls. A Hollow notices you and shouts. "Hey back off buddy this one's ours!" Before you use Sonído to deliver a hoof to his face. As he's sent flying you calm down and drop into a bipedal fighting stance.

You get a good look at the four. The first is quilled humanoid Hollow. The second reminds you of a raven. The third looks like some sort of eel. The one you just kick looked something like cricket. You're going to need to have a good strategy or hope all three of you can overpower them.

(Roll 1d20 and put in your strategy. Your complete list of powers.)
[Regeneration] - All Hollows regenerate incredibly fast, and won’t die as long they have the Reiatsu to heal wounds, or suffer a incredibly debilitating injury.
[Sonído] - You can move in burst of speed faster then the eye can see. But only in short distances, and it takes a lot out of your.
[Subdermal Armor] - Your skin is stronger then normal.
[Escudo Final] - You may link yourself to a weaker ally and take blows in their place.
[Recuerda] - This hollow can remember its life without destroying itself.
[Cornear] - You channel your Reiatsu into your horns, giving them unnatural strength and toughness. Penetrating those with less Reiatsu easily.
[Pesquisa] - The power to detect, pinpoint, and measure Reiatsu.
[Calcificación] - The user spreads their Reiatsu through their body hardening it momentarily against strikes.

You use Sonído and appear behind the Hollow eel, gripping his long slimy neck. He struggles but even with his slime can't escape your crushing grip. He lift him off the ground spinning him around before jumping at the quilled Hollow. The quills curls up to protect himself, but in doing so causes his friend to be impaled across his back. The cricket who's back on his feet decks you across the face sending you flying for several feet. As you get back up to your feet you reassess the battlefield you feel Reiatsu of Caprice behind you and can see the viper fighting the crow Hollow. You trade several blows with the two Hollows in front of you slowly positioning them into one straight line. Once they're finally position them into a straight line you jump over them. As you land one of Caprice's orbs smash into their heads sending them careening towards you. You drop low channeling your Reiatsu for Cornear and when they reach thrust up. You cut one in half the body pieces being sent flying in two different directions. The second is left gored on your horns. You pick his corpse off and take a quick few bites out of his body to replenish your Reiatsu before dropping it to the ground. You look over to see the crow holding the viper by her neck as she's wrapped around one of his arms and trying to bite his head. You run up to them and grab the Hollow by the head with both hands and quickly snap his neck. She viper quickly uncoils herself and looks back at you while still on guards. "Thanks for the help. That was help right?" You nod and gesture to the bodies. "Yes it was, how about we discuss something over lunch."

You tell her about how it's a world of big threats out there and how everyone could use someone watching their back. "So I've got plans. Somethings to get us a nice feast of souls but I need backup. Are you In?" You ask while arching an nonexistent eyebrow. "Count on it. So what is this plan?" If your mask could move you'd be ginning so far it'd crack.

It's a late summer day clear skies mild weather, some might call it the perfect day. But that's only because no one realizes the tragedy that's about to strike them. You're currently standing on one of the towers of a suspension bridge over a canyon in California. Cleo your new companion waits at one end of the bridge while Caprice waits at the other. You look out over the dozens of cars on the bridge as you reach over and pluck one of the suspension wires with your claw. The wire snaps causing a loud *twang* to echo throughout the air as the bridge quakes momentarily. Cars panic as the bridge settles trying to make a go for their respective ends. Cleo stops hers by using her flash to blind them causing a pile up. Caprice knocks over a tree trapping them on the bridge. Your claw severs another, people get out of their cars and try to run. You cut a second, now people are screaming, you hear a child. You cut a third and the bridge starts to fall to the side, some people slide off or are crushed by a car. You jump over to Cleo's side where Caprice is now waiting too. You see people trying to climb over their cars, but it's to late as you bring your hoof down on the bridge.

With a chorus of snaps and screams the remaining wires give and the bridge falls into the canyon with everyone on it. You hear the crush of metal as cars are dashed against the rocks, along with broken bones. You turn back to your two companions and with a exaggerated accent say. "Ladies dinner is served."

You all wait at the bottom of the canyon preying on the Pluses that rise from the corpses descending on them in a feeding frenzy. With every one you devour you feel its Reiatsu add to your own, slowly but steadily your power continues to grow.

You decide to pass the next few hours sparring with Caprice, taking blows to help increase your toughness and resistance to pain, while Caprice works on the power of her blows and reflexes. You'd say she's making good progress, at least you'd say she could beat a male Hollow on her level. Your newest companion Cleo spends her time in the woods working on her speed and ability to turn intangible. When you go to gather her you see she's felled a dozen trees and is working on making her tail intangible till the last possible moment. You've all without doubt improved into stronger then average Hollows. Caprice looks at you and ask. "So what's next boss?" You hadn't really thought about it. You could keep making these small disasters but it might attract attention, you think as a news copter flies overhead to report on the bridge collapse. Though one might not guess if they were nearby due to the light the blazing inferno that consumed the skyscraper gave off. News vans were stopped out front trying to report on it while maintaining a good distance in case it fell. "Channel 7 news here folks, no one is quite sure how but thirty minutes ago a fire was started on the first floor of the Lexingham apartment building. The cities fire fighters have been trying their hardest to put out the flame but all the floors have been blocked off. With no other options they have been trying to access the building from its neighbors but have so far proven unsuccessful! We will keep you updated on the status of the three hundred people trapped inside." She finishes as people scream as another attempted ladder rescue failed because the ladder toppled over. Why it did so was simple looking down from your rooftop you see Caprice laughing as she topples another ladder sending a fire fighter falling to his death. Cleo was off resting curled up by the fire escapes she tore down. But the real course was about to begin, you could already hear the howling of enraged Hollows who sensed the Pluses, your fire acting like one giant beacon. You shout out over the edge. "Show time girls the main course is arriving!"

Hollows came pouring out waiting at the edge of the fire for an opening to rush in and grab a snack. However there plans quickly changed as Cleo rattles behind them drawing their attention only to blind them with a flash. After she did so you and Caprice would descend on them from the rooftop and kill them before retreating with their corpses to the rooftop. By the end of the day you have about a dozen Hollows, and a hundred or so Pluses collected from the burnt out husk of the skyscraper. As you're eating you stop to think and just hope this doesn't draw to much attention to you.

Apparently Shinigami are really just the eastern half of the world, while the west has its own thing. I'm not sure how that fits in Quincies and Hollow though. I'm assuming the Quincies, despite being german based, mostly attacked the asian based soul society half out of revenge/a score to settle, and half because the soul king was needed for Yhwh to ascend and enact his plans.
Then again the quest is clearly going with the interpretation that shinigami are global so I guess none of that matters.

As has become routine for you, you spend the next day training together to get a grip on your new strength. You decide to train this time while sparring on the move to the next city learning to fight while on the move. Caprice surprises you and proves to be the best at it, meanwhile Cleo is the worst having to use her whole body in her attacks. But you'd still say everyone's really good at it so you feel this isn't a place you need to work on for now, so the training devolves into a regular race which you beat handily. Letting out a whoop as you cross the city limit first.

*Meanwhile in the Soul Society at the head quarters of the Far Western Branch, also known as the Hydra's Den*

Two leaders of their respective orders Tōshirō Hitsugaya and Alistair Forbes are locked in discussion. Alistair was exasperated at this point. "Look I've explained it to you several times, when you left your 3rd seat here for training, you knew there was a slim possibility that he may be harmed or killed. Which you accepted when you left him here in this little "plow" to teach him some humility."

Tōshirō was simply tired of the back and forth at this point and responded in a monotone voice. "I can see we aren't getting anywhere so what do you want me to tell his family."

"Ah yes another noble family who think they can give their spoiled son a free ride. Tell them this, that when he became a Shinigami he accepted this risk and if he died it was to his own stupidity." Tōshirō noted it down and left with a disappointed sigh.

"Another noble family to raise hell, great." Tōshirō thought.

Alistair turned his attention to the reports on his desk. "So my mystery Hollow, what new trouble have you caused for my branch."

Or maybe something really obscure people wouldn't think to look, like a wholesale or something like that. We could also always meet up in the basement of a government owned building. Basically places we can get into easy because we're ghost monsters but living beings would have a hard time explaining if caught. Really wouldn't deter most shinigami but it would be less likely they'd check these kinds of places.
>>
>>3012937
Some basement seems a bit stereotypical. What about the newsroom of the daily planet? We hear about a death/disaster when it happens, race there to get a bite and disappear before anyone knows there were pluses to be found?
>>
>>3012937
It's a stretch, but a Missile Launch Facility could be a great place to hole up. Shinigami would be VERY wary of fighting us in there, since it'd be pretty easy for either side to (intentionally or accidentally) cause massive destruction and death. And since hollows don't care if they cause that, it'd basically make the shinigami have to fight very carefully and assuredly - they wouldn't dare to make a move unless they were confident they could safely cut us down before we do anything.
>>
>>3012983
I'm pretty confident that that there's some kind of faction overseeing anything missile/biohazard related. Otherwise the world would have ended in the 60s at the latest.

>>3012945
That would be a good idea. Hang out somewhere that get's the nations news first and not only do we learn about disasters as they happen but any big events that could be sabotaged.
>>
>>3012995
You would think, but the shinigami are vastly incompetent as far as I'm concerned.
And most hollows, if I'm being honest. It's pretty rare for one to actually use their brain.
>>
>>3012995
>basically
I mean seriously. The US nuclear missiles all had 00000000 as the passcode to launch WITH a note taped at the console saying to count the number of zeroes. One hollow could have caused a nuclear holocaust. There had to be some random quincies or fullbringers staking the sites somewhere.
>>
>>3012995
Yeah but Shinigami care less about the deaths of humans and more about making sure their spiritual energy passes on to soul society so that the soul king can keep things running. I think nukes are just so obvious that no one ever even thought to do it, especially when even the youngest heads of the Gotei 13 are a century old.
>>
>>3013011
also this, most hollows are either
a) stupid as shit
b) so powerful they're at a point where messing with the human world isn't worth the effort anymore.
>>
>>3013011
>>3013021

It would take only one hollow formed from some military official, politician, rebellious anarchist, ANYONE with any kind of intelligence to float into a nuclear power plant and cause a melt down.

Hell if Chernobyl was caused by a hollow doing just that someone in the Gotei 13 would realize how much more work it would cause if they didn't have someone watching the world ending shit.

Can't have balance if Earth is a scorched rock.
>>
>>3013021
That's a good point. Shinigami, especially the head shinigami, are pretty severely disconnected from the living world.
Hell, those bastards don't even consider themselves humans. It was pretty clear at the start of the series that shinigami look down on humans and think of themselves as something far greater.
>>
>>3013011
It's not quite incompetence. It's just that it looks like incompetence. The supposed job of Shinigami is mostly fake after all. They aren't supposed to hunt down hollows or ferry people to the afterlife. The higher ups just pretend that's their role when really they're trying to maintain the "balance" and keep the nobles in power.
>>3013021
Their age might also be a good point. The shinigami actively suppress technology and new ideas outside of the tech division. Only nobles are allowed to have anything resembling modern conveniences.

>>3013026
My guess after a few seconds of thought was basically general rituals creating warded zones.
Eg The west has graveyard ghosts. Basically you take one person and sacrifice them horribly to bind them to the site of the graveyard you're building. Then that person's spirit is stuck guarding the place to ensure the graveyards are protected from regular and supernatural threats to anyone that gets buried there.
If shinigami can use kido then there's nothing saying that spiritually powerful humans can't do some sort of equivalent if they trained.

Alternatively:
a) Hollows can take a while to form (Rukia's brother being the only major exception that I know of speedwise) and don't know the secret locations of missile sites unless they were personnel. By this point the systems have gotten too complex to actually launch an attack
b)Hollows tend to be too big to fit through the doors of the military bases
c)If you look back at declassified documents there were a massive amount of false alarms getting tripped that nearly caused WW3 in both the US and soviet union. Those all could have been attempts by hollows to make the people inside launch nukes.
>>
>>3013070

>>

>>
>>3013070
>If you look back at declassified documents there were a massive amount of false alarms getting tripped that nearly caused WW3 in both the US and soviet union. Those all could have been attempts by hollows to make the people inside launch nukes.
...wait fuck that's actually a very real possibility in this setting
>>
>>3013090
It's one of those assumed facts that's obviously going to be right since they are ghosts but isn't made explicit.
Eg Ichigo thought Sandalhat's cane couldn't hit him since he thought it was a physical object. So shinigami can (or will) phase through anything depending on if they chose to have it be in an on/off state from what little we've seen of them interacting with the real world. (Ichigo vs Kon in the classroom was knocking back desks)
Even if they aren't the same "species" they are made of the same stuff so the same idea might apply to hollows interacting with the real world. Anyone with spiritual power might alternatively or also be able to hit spirit entities with physical objects as a native ability or viceversa. Eg Karin with her football, Chad with the telephone pole, episode 1s hollow breaking walls.
The rules were never really explained but tldr you're right about the phasing.
>>
>>3013126
I always thought it was mostly instinctive and the reason they get hurt by things like poles and canes is because of the spiritually endowed people carrying them. For example, the cane would normally pass through ichigo, but because it's being help by a person with enough spiritual power to see him, Ichigo is unable to just phase through it, subconsciously or otherwise.
>>
>>3013169
That's what I thought at first but Kon kicking Ichigo into some desks seems to indicate it's not automatic phasing. Either that or he had to become solid to try and hit his "real" body which let him also slam into the desks when kicked back. So these are mostly right theories but there are holes in places. The town itself is supposedly spiritually dense so it might just be more "solid" than normal or something.

You decide instead of risking creating a traceable pattern you find a nice place to relax for a couple of days, Hollow R&R if you will. You set up the main base in the work space of a mechanics shop, though it starts to get old having to yell at new hire what they're doing wrong and then getting angrier when you remember they can't here you. Cleo mostly spends time at the old folks home waiting for a Plus to form or sunbathing in the yard. Caprice spends time at a local hospital a few blocks away pulling pranks and bringing back any stray Pluses. You've been doing this for a few days and are currently lounging at the old folks home watching TV with one of the old people. ""Destruction Derby Extraordinary" nice pick Muriel I'll eat you last." You say but soon Caprice knocks down the door giving several old people heart attacks. "Hey boss the hospital just dispatched an ambulance to a big shooting in the downtown area!" You bolt up and yell. "What are we waiting for! Grab Cleo and let's split. Been to long since we had a proper meal." You race as fast you can for several miles before arriving at the scene of a massive gang shoot out. You all quickly grab some panicking Pluses and retreat before others arrive.

As you rush up the levels of a parking garage your hole starts to ache like its screaming at you in hundred different voices. When it does so a severe pain also flashes through you and causes you to fall dropping your haul to the ground. Cleo and Caprice share a look with each other, before Caprice say. "Um... you ain't looking so good there boss. You alright?" "I'm fine." You spit. "Let's keep going."

"No boss. It's alright we'll just eat here." She says helping to pile all the Pluses you collected before you start eating. The meal carries the tense air from earlier as you finished. You all prepare to leave but as you get up slow clapping and footsteps cut through the air. "Well, I admit I was lucky to run into you. See some of my associates saw you cause that bridge collapse earlier and have been looking for you. But to think I'd be lucky enough to stumble upon you and some random crime scene, well I count my lucky stars." You turn to see the source of the voice is young man with black hair wearing a regular black t-shirt and jeans. Normally you wouldn't worry, but the high amount of Reishi you sense from him and that necklace around his neck. You can tell despite the high Reishi though he's just a regular human and the high Reishi is nothing to write home about.

The English release of the manga also translated it, for the perfectly sensible reason of not wanting to have to constantly have a translator's note explaining (and thus ruining) the pun.
As for more love, I mean it's not like Togashi is obscure. Yu Yu Hakusho continues to sell well, and is generally extremely well regarded.
And I mean the dude has enough pull with the higher ups at Jump that they basically let him release chapters of Hunter X Hunter at whatever slow-ass pace he wants (mostly because their sales skyrocket on weeks when there's a new chapter).

You have everyone move back leaving the Pluses you were saving for later. "Okay you're not a Shimi-chimi-ferry or whatever the fuck they're called so just who the hell are you. This about the humans ate, or you here to cut a deal or something." You say as he continues in a slow advance. "I don't think anyone would be willing to deal with you monsters. Even if they did we'd have to get rid of them. As for who I am you can call me James, my group is called the Praetorians but that doesn't matter cause you'll be dead again soon enough." He muttered something under his breath and you see his necklace begin to take on the shape of long chain whip.

You suddenly recall some of the information you got in Hueco Mundo. "I've heard there's a new group of spiritually sensitive and powerful humans calling themselves the Praetorians, normally the Ferryman would deal with them but they've been busy." He stops over the remaining Pluses muttering again under his breath as they're sucked into his weapon, the slight glow it was giving off growing much stronger. Now you see why it felt off now that you're focusing on it you can feel all the trapped souls surrounding him, some you can sense are Hollows.

"Well I find that ironic coming from you. Yeah I may be a monster but need to be to live, you're one by choice, so tell me what's your excuse?" You say in an even and calm tone.

"Oh don't debate philosophy with me monster, I'm quite sure collapsing a bridge wasn't necessary to your survival." He stops and seems to think for a moment. "As for my own crimes they're a necessary one and one I'll pay for in time. But at least all our souls may rest knowing that one less of you monsters is inhabiting the world." You can tell by the tone of his voice there isn't going to be anymore talking. You signal to your companions to break out your most reliable strategy. Cleo quickly uses Clic Ciego blinding him. Which you follow up with Sonido while Caprice mask her presence and begins to move to a better angle. You prepare to gore the Praetorian on your horns but as try to do so you miss. The deep pain like hundreds of hands trying to claw their way out of your chest returning. He narrowly dodges you in your pained state. You recover clumsily as the pain fades.

He laughs at you as you regain your balance. "So this is the frighting Omen Bringer Hollow that my colleagues were discussing... I'm disappointed." Though the smugness suddenly disappears as Caprice blindsides him. He is sent flying into Cleo who continues there game by whipping him with her tail into you. You've recovered enough to slap him down into the ground with a thunderous crack. You see his clothes have gained an almost metallic glint and he only sports a few broken bones despite what you put him through. But with your giant clawed hand holding him down you can now feel the Reishi of the souls channeling into him, makes sense he's probably been using it to enhance himself.

He coughs up some blood as he mutters. "Dammit..." You think about what to do with him, but the pounding inside of you returns, your entire mask feeling like it wants to shatter into a thousand pieces, you feel so confined. As you look at him and all his Reishi your mind starts to slip before you come back to your senses.

>>>Devour him now.
He might have friends waiting in the wings. That we are known to others as The Omen Bringer is titillating enough.

>>3015805
The Touhou of Hollows.
>>
OP is kill?
>>
>>3017189
A hollow born from a kgb agent got him.

It was a slow death.
>>
>>3017189
I'm here just my internet was fucky and it just got fixed as I got back from somewhere.

Also we gonna eat him. (Also Spoiler: nothing would have happened if you tortured him it was just to get you a little more filled in. )
>>
>>3017732
dang it, now he tells us
still though, wasn't really worth the risk, and we do get both a high spiritual level human and a shit ton of tortured souls in a necklace to eat so that's a nice catch. How many souls were Gillians made up of again? Or did we not get a number in the manga?
>>
>>3017749
They're made of hundreds of souls and usually form out of Hollow feeding frenzies. Also from earlier "The deep pain like hundreds of hands trying to claw their way out of your chest returning. He narrowly dodges you in your pained state. You recover clumsily as the pain fades."
>>
>>3017762
Makes sense, for some reason I kept thinking the specified at least a thousand, don't know why though. How many souls have we eaten at this point?
>>
>>3017767
At least a few hundred, their value of Reishi also helps quicken the process. You've been eating a lot of Hollows (Above average Reishi), Around 100-200 Pluses (Normal Meal), and 1 poorly trained and arrogant but spiritually powerful Shinigami (Lots of high quality Reishi).
>>
>>3017777
Well that fits a lot better, honestly thought the headaches and hand bit were the Praetorian doing something to break free. Seems We're close to evolving instead. That brings to mind a funny thought, it'd be funny if later on Verst ends up making a gang of mostly female hollow because they're easier to recruit, then they call him out on it way later when they're all more human looking, only to realize the entire thing was Caprice's idea.

>>3015234
>>3015267
.Etc

You keep your full weight on top of the human in case he tries something. You tell Caprice to grab his chain and to keep it safe, as she picks it up it turns back into the small chain necklace it was before. You consider torturing for more information about these "Praetorians" but you also realize the danger he could pose.

You can't seem to make up your mind when that damn pain slams back into you screaming out to devour him. You descend on him without hesitation. You're more brutal and wild then usual ripping chunks out at a time trying to use his blood to wash them down. You expected the hunger to fade away but it doubles itself upon you not letting up, you look at the chain feeling the trapped souls coming from it the hunger makes you unable to look away from it.

(Gonna pop a new thread since we reached 400 post)
>>
>>3017749
Depends. He was specifically nothing home to write about so he was weaker than us. The only real danger is weirdo powers we'd be better off seeing from some half dead dude than ambushed by some smarter members of his group. This is assuming torture actually works instead of him lying out his ass.
