Josuke and Okuyasu hear the school bell ringing for the last time, with a quick high five and a smile on their faces, the two students headed out of their classes, placing their english exams inside their lockers before exiting the campus.
"What was your score? I was expecting a lower grade, but I can't say 34/100 is something to brag about." Okuyasu shoved the paper deep in his locker in embarrassment.
"77/100. English was never really my forte, but at least I got a passing grade, right?" Josuke stated with mild indifference, unsure on how to feel about his mediocre score.
"Maybe we should talk to someone who's doing well in our class, maybe they could help me out. I don't wanna fail this class in my first test." Okuyasu frowned, thinking on how to save himself from the finals.
"Hmm, some people might still hang around now that's school's over, you wanna search around?"
"Yeah! Do you think Ayano is still here? I saw her jumping around saying 'I got a 100!' in the hallway." The duo closed their lockers and stood at the front gate.
"Ayano's a bit full of herself, but maybe if you ask her nice enough she'd be willing to--" Josuke stopped dead in his tracks once he noticed Yukako Yamagishi walking out of school, gazing angrily at them as she always did.
"Oh yeah! There's Yukako! She got a 96, maybe we should--"
"Shut up Okuyasu! She's right there!" Josuke covered his classmate's mouth after the long haired maiden appeared in his field of vision.

Instead of idly passing by, Yukako stood still, menacingly eyeing them up after hearing her name being mentioned.
"Haven't you noticed how she's always staring at us when we meet?" Josuke whispered in Okuyasu's hear, turning his back to Yukako.
"What about it? I'm way out of her league, so she might be into you."
"That's not the point here, don't you remember how she ogled when Koichi passed by in the first few weeks?" Josuke gulped, feeling guilty at the poor friend who passed away in the battle with Bad Company.
"Do you think she's angry at my Big Bro? He's already in jail, so I thought we were going to leave that in the past."
"It's not that easy, Okuyasu. The girl had a crush on him, you know? Even I didn't spent much time with Koichi and still felt bad for him, I can't imagine what Yukako must have felt when she found out Koichi was dead..." Josuke peeked in the corner of his eye to see if Yukako stopped staring, but her cold gaze was still there to greet him.
"Damn, now that you put it that way, I feel sorry for her, maybe I should apologize to her now that I have the chance."
"WHAT ARE YOU TWO BUFFOONS WHISPERING OVER THERE?! YOU BETTER NOT BE TALKING SHIT ABOUT ME!" OKuyasu's kind demeanor was quickly shut down once he heard the aggressive tone in Yukako's voice, her ire emanating at the two while her hair flew against the wind.

"N-no! Not at all, Yukako-san! We were just saying how cool it was that you got 96 in the English exam!" Josuke stood up and shook his head at the angry lady before him, with Okuyasu affirming his statement.
"Yesyesyesyes! That's cool, awesome! Great even! I bet you're feeling proud!"
"I'm feeling everything but proud these past couple of days. Why would you care about me passing the test?" Yukako was still unconvinced, but that didn't stop Josuke from explaining what happened.
"You see here, Okuyasu's not doing so well with that English class, he's afraid of failing early, and I don't want my buddy to feel bad about his grades either, so we wanted to ask if you were free this Saturday to give him a hand."
"You have the NERVE, to ask me a favor after what happened? I know what you and Okuyasu did to Koichi-kun. I won't forgive you for as long as I live, you spineless coward!" Yukako's insult made Josuke's blood go cold, partially aided by her furious stance.
"Wh-What we did to Koichi? You mean..."
"Don't play stupid with me, Josuke Higashikata. Not only you were the last person to see Koichi before he died, but you took him to Okuyasu's house, and shortly after my dear Koichi-kun passed away, Okuyasu started coming to school! Do you think nobody would have put two and two together!? YOU ARE A MURDERER!" Yukako's hair twitched as she accused the pompadour boy, who looked down, feeling ashamed and guilty of his deeds after Koichi's death being shoved in his face.
As much as he wanted to say that's not what happened, deep down he knew Koichi was a casualty he could have avoided by being more careful, after being used to healing people on a whim with Crazy Diamond, having such a loss was seen by Josuke as his greatest failure as a Stand user, and as someone who pledged to protect Morioh.
Okuyasu also felt hurt by her accusations, seeing as Keicho was the one who took down an innocent student's life and was alive and well, if still repenting his decisions. There really was no way to justify the boy's death aside from an audible 'We're sorry' coming from the two of them.

Yukako's anger was still very visible by the veins popping on her face, and her eyebrow uncontrollably twitching from her anger alone, but taking a few short breaths, she quickly recomposed herself to give them an answer.
"Fine, you know what? I'll help Okuyasu pass."
"W-What? You just went from 0 to 100 faster than humanly possible." Josuke reacted accordingly.
"DON'T MAKE ME REGRET MY DECISION!" she warned, proving that she hasn't exactly forgiven them. "Ahem, As I was saying, there's a villa near the coast where we could... MEET. I could teach Okuyasu a few things, just bring the pen and paper and I'll bring the books. Meet me near Café Deux Magots at 8." Yukako emphasized a few words, as if she wanted to say something else .

"Really!? Th-Thank you for your kindness, Yukako-san! I wasn't expecting that!" Okuyasu bowed down, ending the conversation as Yukako ignored his thanks and went home.
"That's just great... She thinks we had part in Koichi's murder and now she hates our guts..."
"But why would she accept helping me on a whim? It doesn't seem right, I would refuse, but there's no way I can pass studying by myself...
"I got a bad feeling about this..."

This is the 90s anon, it's gonna look hella suspicious if Josuke just pops off to the payphone every half and hour.

We might as well tell the group and then bring someone along with us to act as cover, cos unless Josuke plans to hide in the bushes the entire time Yukako is gonna get suspicious if he's just hanging out near the cafe

"You can go, but I'll be close by in case she gets really mad. She seems a bit unstable so try not to get her mad, maybe if we explain things to her later she'll be convinced." Josuke proposed, hoping to solve things peacefully.
"There's no reason to be too afraid of her if we just talk things out, right? It's not like she's a Stand user or anything, we're not in great danger against a school girl at Saturday morning." Okuyasu affirms, wanting to reassure himself more than Josuke.
"I guess you're right on that one. Still, take care, man."
"You too Josuke! I'm off to visit Big bro's cell!"
"See you at 8!" Josuke waved goodbye at his pal, walking home on his own for the first time on that month.
Initially, he wasn't that scared of Yukako, even going through his day as usual, having dinner with his mom and grandpa, playing video games until bedtime and what have you, however when he was done with his shower and went to bed, he started to think on the weird incidents around udo-ga Oka Middle & High School after Koichi met his tragic end.

"Hey Josuke, do you feel like you're being stared at?"
"Not really Okuyasu, what makes you say that?"

"Waah! Natsuki fell down the stairs and broke her legs!
"Who put soap on 1st room floor? I'm calling the principal."

"Did Megumi shave her head?"
"No, I heard she had an accident with the incinerator and ended up getting her hair burnt."
"They still haven't fixed that thing? What gives?"

Maybe Josuke was just feeling paranoid, but he couldn't help but feel worried for his friend, maybe you should call someone for backup just to be sure, but if it turns out Yukako's just a weird girl with a few anger problems, you'd just look like a creep for doubting her and following her around, you need a good excuse to go out with someone.

It always kinda bugged me that all of these people in part 4 did really heinous things yet everyone was pretty much okay with them and they calmed down real quick after a therapeutic beatdown by the protagonists.

I mean, part 3 had the flesh buds as an excuse, but part 4 was just them being power-mad asshats. Still, it is pretty convenient to be able to beat the evil out of someone.

On the following day, Josuke heard a knock on his door, to which his grandfather Ryohei didn't waste time in calling for him.
"Josuke, can you answer the door for me?"
"Sure."

Jolyne and Jotaro were inside Josuke's garden, staring at the tree with Angelo's faced carved inside it.
"How did that face get in that tree, papa?
"Long story, you don't want to know." Jotaro took her away from the tree and carried her on his back, approaching Josuke once he stepped out of his home.
"Awww, I'm staying with Josuke-san? But I don't really like him, he was mean to me last time we talked!" Jolyne crossed her arms once she saw the student about to greet the visits.
"Good grief Jolyne, I told you that was a one time-thing. Josuke just wants you to have fun around Morioh, and nothing else. Isn't that right, Josuke?" He turned over to his uncle to make sure he didn't have any funny ideas.
While counteracting a guy like Jotaro doesn't seem like a good idea, would you really be better off lying to him?

"Actually, Jotaro-san, I'm going to the hospital to meet a guy from my school and heal him with Crazy Diamond. I hope that's ok with you." Josuke explained one of his assignments, but omitting the purpose for his action.
"Yeah, sounds fine to me. Anything else you wanted to say?"
"After that I was planning on showing her Cafe Deux Magots where some other colleagues of mine are doing a study group."
"..." After a brief moment of silence, Josuke sweating bullets in anticipation and Jotaro squinting his eyes at Josuke, the marine biologist couldn't find any reason to doubt what Josuke had to say.
"Ok, have fun Jolyne, keep an eye on her, Josuke. If you need me I'll be at the beach with Hitomi."
"Trust me, Jotaro-san! I'll take good care of Jolyne here." Josuke let her jump on his back, taking her to Morioh's hospital and effectively parting ways with Jotaro with no alerts raised.

"Hey, jackass! Pass me the remote control!"
"No way, you only watch boring soap operas and game shows!"
"Well you only watch anime!"
"I still have batter taste than you!"
"Do you want a piece of me, funnel head?"
"Oh, like you can reach me with those noodle arms of yours!"

Josuke entered the door to Hazamada and Tamami's room, where the two Stand users were bickering at each other, but unable to do anything without a proper use of their stands.
"Hey Hazamada, do you mind helping me peep on Yukako and Okuyasu? I'd ask Tamami, but his Stand's not appropriate to the situation."
"Yukako? Are you crazy? That's the only girl in school I don't want anything to do with, she's nuts!"
"Hey, what's wrong with The Lock? I've made some good cash with that Stand! Can I help you out instead of Hazamada here? I don't want to spend another day with this loser."
"You're the loser, Tamami! Not even Josuke annoyed me this much when we were fighting!"

"Hey Hazamada, you know that time where you forced me to shove a pencil on Jolyne's throat? She was terrified of me and even now that we've explained what happened, she still thinks I'm a bad guy, I would appreciate if you apologized to her since you're the one who had this great idea."
"Alright... I'm sorry" Hazamada groaned.
"That didn't sound very honest..." Jolyne complained at the lawful antagonist's disinterest in sounding like someone who's sorry.
"Come on, that wasn't enough?"
"You need to be sincere, make the apology come from your heart, no need to be half assed."
"And what if I refuse?"
"Then I'll leave and the remote control stays with Tamami" He dangles the remote control in the scammer's hands.
"Hggnn. Alright, I'm sorry for scaring Jolyne and ruining your friendship with her, Josuke!" Hazamada gives in, scared of spending another night with the most snarky man on the planet.
"Much better, and with that, you're good to go. CRAZY DIAMOND!"
"Aaah!" Hazamada squealed, afraid of being punched by Josuke's Stand, but was relieved to see his wounds being patched.

"By the way, here's something your mannequin back, I thought of breaking it once Jotaro called the ambulance, but you seemed to put a lot of effort on that thing, so I thought you'd appreciate if it stayed intact." Josuke used his restoring ability on a splinter in his finger, taking it off to turn it into Surface's host.
"You... Actually saved that for me? Why?"
"Why not? It's not my decision to throw it away, it's yours."
"Alright, now you have my respect, let's help Okuyasu with his English problems."
"That's the spirit!"
"W-Wait, what about me?" Tamami complained, realizing he was still staying in the hospital.
"Oh, you can have the controller, hopefully you'll have the room for yourself now. Get well soon!" Josuke gave him the controller so the gambler could watch TV in peace.
"Bye mister!" Jolyne heard an audible sigh in response coming from Tamami, but neither Josuke nor Hazamada had any reactions more emotive than the mannequin Surface was bound to.

Josuke voted for going to the shack near the beach, hoping for the absolute worst.
"Don't sweat it, Josuke! Okuyasu's a tough cookie! He's not scared of studying!" The clueless Jolyne kept being positive.
"Well you're right about the first one, but studying's not what I'm worried about here..." Josuke told her.
Climbing up all the way into the cliffside, Josuke, Jolyne and Hazamada find a single shack alone on the edge of the cape, deserted and with no acess to the outside world outside from a payphone a hundred meters away from the household.
"Well, we're here. Where's Yukako?"

"AAAAAH!" Okuyasu's scream is heard on the first floor of the building, and what the trio would witness was indeed a sight to behold.
The boy was hanging down from the ceiling, his neck tied by Yukako's hair as he struggled to breathe, being hit by a sledgehammer on his stomach when he tried to reach the closet near him so the weight on his body would only be sustained by his throat.
"I'll break all of your ribs if you touch that closet again! STOP SQUIRMING YOU MAGGOT!" The psychotic Yukako squashed Okuyasu's stomach as he was beaten into a pulp, her hair entering the victim's skin and making it bleed from the inside, the gruesome scene being accompanied by the schoolgirl's macabre laughter.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! HOW DOES IT FEEL OKUYASU? HOW DOES IT FEEL TO KNOW YOUR LIFE IS SLOWLY ESCAPING YOUR BODY! I BET THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENNED WHEN YOU KILLED HIM IN COLD BLOOD!"

"STOP IT!" Jolyne covered her eyes as she screamed at Yukako, drawing her attention to the balcony.
"Josuke? I should have known. I see you've brought some friends with you." Yukako stared down at Josuke's party, intimidating both Jolyne and Hazamda, who was cowering in fear after seeing Okuyasu's dangling body.
"What are you doing to Okuyasy!?"
"Don't worry, He's far away from dying. He's going to suffer for a few hours before I dispose of his corpse. I haven't even breaked his legs yet."
"J-Josuke! H-Help--" The chanting from inside the room was interfered by the sound of a few bones breaking, followed by a loud 'Thump'
"Oops, his hands must have slipped again."
"I'M NOT LOSING ANOTHER FRIEND TODAY!" Josuke fiercely jumped onto the balcony, fully intent on.

Josuke leaped into the room, ripping Yukako's hair apart to reach Okuyasu's unconscious body, healing his friend and taking him out of the psycho's grasp.
"Th-*Cough Cough* The hand!" Okuyasu erased the hair around him to prevent Yukako's Stand from regenerating and extending itself around them.
"Her hair is her Stand?"
"That's right. Love Deluxe was gifted to me by Keicho a few days before Koichi's death. After realizing how Stands were invisible to a regular human's eye, I realized it was a parting gift so I could have my revenge on you two!" Yukako briefly explained how she got hit with the Stand arrow.
"We didn't kill Koichi, Yukako! It was an accident!" Okuyasu tried to explain.
"Keicho's already paying the price for killing him, You don't have to bring us into this! We're suffering from his loss just as much as you are!"
"BULLSHIT! YOU'VE ALL BEEN DICKING AROUND HAVING FUN WHILE HE ROTS WITH THE WORMS! YOU AREN'T SUFFERING! HOW DARE YOU COMPARE YOUR PAIN TO MINE!? I LOVED HIM! I LOVED HIM SO MUCH!" Her tantrum caused her hair to extend again, ripping the outer walls of the building and destroying the ceiling.
"Hazamada! Protect Jolyne! We can take it from here!" Josuke advises the shorter man to keep his distance, to which he helped by transforming his mannequin into Yukako.
"Don't worry, Josuke! If she reaches Surface's range she'll only move if my mannequin does!"

"Right... And that gives me one great idea..." Josuke thought of sending her next to Hazamada to immobilize her, but was constricted of it's movements by Love Deluxe, who kept Crazy Diamond and The hand on a hairy net.
"There is nothing you can do with your precious Stand stuck now, is there? Well, if you'll excuse me! I'll Okuyasu's dose with you!" She took her sledgehammer back in her hands and proceeded to hit Josuke and Okuyasu, while Crazy Diamond could easily heal Okuyasu's wounds, Josuke wasn't as lucky.
With his body slowly giving in to the pain as each shattered muscle tore open a new gash, one of his friends had no choice but to step in despite the current predicament.

If this were an actual part of the show, I'd imagine there'd be a callback to parts 1 or 2 with the narrator describing how Jolyne's fear-induced paralysis was suddenly burned away by a burning resolve to help out those in need, like so many of her Joestar ancestors before her! "I'll save you Josuke!" Stone free unraveled her string body to reach the first floor balcony, pulling her user right along the room as Jolyne entered the fight.
"Jolyne! NO!" Hazamada could only protest as he saw the young girl making a makeshift zipline to aid Josuke in his battle.
"Beat it kid, you have no business being here." Yukako brushed her off, not even thinking Jolyne was worthy of her attention.
"Prepare yourself, evil-doer! My name is Jolyne Kujo, and I'm here to put an end to your tyranic acts!" She bravely presented herself at Yukako, unappalled by the imminent danger of the mad woman before her.
"JOSUKE! SHE'S GOING TO KILL JOLYNE!" Okuyasu warned the barely awake teenager, who was trying to see despite the amount of blood dripping down his face.
"Don't do it, Yukako... She's just a kid... Leave her out of this..."
"Oh, someone has picked up a thesaurus... Come in, child! I'll put you to sleep in under a minute!" Yukako offered to trade a few blows with little Jolyne, expecting nothing more than a mere intermission from the torture session.
"ORA!" Love Deluxe engulfed Jolyne in her hair coccoons, but the tactic backfire when Stone Free responded with a net of her own strings, as the wool-like stand dissipated throughout the room, she used the same string to free Josuke and Okuyasu from the hair traps planted by Yukako.
"Wait, she can cut and seal things with Stone Free's strings? What can't this kid do?" Okuyasu watched in awe as Jolyne's Stand retracted Love Deluxe back into Yukako's scalp, holding her hair in place with a cute looking white ribbon created by her fabric.
"She's stitching me up too! What are the odds?"
"I learned a few tricks while reading some of mom's books, I don't know how to treat the bigger wounds, but I hope that's good enough." Stone Free patched Josuke's minor cuts with a few stitches from it's finger before gathering it's upper half on top of Yukako, as her unraveled torso was keeping Love Deluxe in place.

"Stay where you are, Yukako! You better start explaining yourself after what you tried to pull here--"
"Waaaaaah!" Contrary to his belief, Yukako started to bawl her eyes out instead of resisting. "This isn't fair! All I wanted was to be together with Koichi-kun! He was such a kind hearted man! Why did this happen to me? I never asked for him to die! How can you two live with yourselves knowing what happened!?"
>Do you think he'd be happy knowing you tried to kill his friends?

"Do you think he'd be happy knowing you tried to kill his friends? We were still innocent and mourned him in death just like you did, being mad at Keicho is reasonable, even I beat his face in when it happened, but shifting the blame to us as an excuse for murder would only leave you feeling empty inside if you actually went through." Josuke talked some sense into Yukako.
"I--"
"Please accept the truth, Yukako. Koichi is gone and we can't bring him back. If you refuse to get over it the pain will only make you feel worse, I don't know if Okuyasu and I can help you get through this, but we don't want to see you in pain because of him either. If there's something we can do to help, just ask." Josuke offered his hand to the sobbing lady.
"N-No! This is just too much! My heart can't take this damage!" The crying Yukako slapped Josuke's hand away, heading over to the balcony at full speed.
"Yukako! Where are you going?!" Okusayu panicked as he witnessed Yukako about to jump from the balcony to the cliffside, a free fall of around 27 meters meeting it's end in a spiked, rocky terrain.
"If I can't forgive myself or live without Koichi-kun... I'll join him in the afterlife!" Yukako dived at the opportunity of ending her life, ready to commit suicide from the pain overtaking her body and mind.
"Okuyasu! Save her!"
"She's out of The Hand's reach! I wont catch her in time!" Okuyasu scraped space away with his hand to no avail being only able to watch as the tragedy took place right in front of him.
"Hey! Stone Free's still there!" Jolyne was sent flying along with Yukako once her Stand met it's range limit, and despite the screams of "NOOOOOOO" from the three Stand users present, Jolyne thought of a plan of her own to prevent her fall and Yukako's suicide.
"Ora!" Stone free took it's string net out of Yukako's scalp and expanded into the taller rocks at the end of the fall, turning the safety net into a trampoline, bouncing the girls back to ground level, where Josuke and Okuyasu were there to catch them.

"J-Jolyne... How did you do that!?" Josuke was flabbergasted at Jolyne's ability to think on her feet, not only saving herself, but preventing misfortune itself.
"You said you weren't letting your friends die today! If Yukako-san can be your friend, I didn't want you to be sad, Stone Free just acted on her own."
The entire group simply stared at each other in disbelief.
"W-what did I do? Isn't Yukako your friend?"
Josuke gave much thought into Jolyne's question, but seeing how deep down, Yukako was just a lonely schoolgirl with a bad hand dealt to her, he smiled and placed Yukako back on her feet.
"Yes she is, Jolyne. I don't know what the future holds for you kid, but with a mindset like that, the sky's the limit for you. Now, Yukako... Is the deal with Okuyasu's english classes still up?"
>>
>>3008997
"...Yes..." Yukako adverted her eyes, being ashamed of her deeds after witnessing so much compassion directed at her.
"Great. Let's head back to Deux Cafe then, I'm paying."
"Cool..." Hazamada's eyes were shining with excitement at how things turned out, despite barely doing anything to help. "Hey can I tag along too? The iced tea there's delicious!"

"No, Okuyasu-san, there is no singular 'we'. You need to use 'it' when referring to inanimate objects!"
"Oops, my bad! Hahahaha!" Okuasu laughed at his silly mistake, writing over it with a red pen.
"Yukako's really quick at recovering from traumatic experiences, look how she's smiling!" Josuke was concerned at Yukako's mood swings, his fear being confirmed once a cat tried to sneak under their table.
"HEY! GO AWAY! DON'T STEAL MY FRIEND'S FOOD!" Love Deluxe quickly chucked the kitten away, safely landing in it's owner's arms.
"Well at least she's being more careful..."
"She's still nuts, Josuke. Just deal with it." Hazamada sipped his drink, turning a blind eye at her abnormal demeanor.

Thanks for running, Dust! Killing off Koichi was certainly an unexpected turn of events, so I was excited to see how it'd affect the quest as a whole.

Fell asleep before the last update, but thanks for running Dust! This was a surprisingly heartfelt halloween episode.

Looking forward to the hijinks Josuke's group will be getting into now that Yukako, Hazamada and possibly Jolyne? hopefully her parents will let Josuke babysit again have joined.

Seeing Yukako go badshit on all the enemies in the part, especially with a poor man who just wants to have a quiet life, will be a treat.

The rest of the Duwang gang will be considerably more friendly to make up for Koichi, and Reimi might have gotten a new friend.
>>3010268
That's ok, I jumped straight into bed when I ended the session.
She saw Josuke's a well intentioned dude, expect Jolyne to be hanging out with him more often
Kira's not that far away either, there's only Rohan, Reimi and Shigechi to introduce before him. I wonder how things are going to turn out for him...

This thread is still fairly short so how do you guys feel on doing something on Halloween day? Pic related would be fitting for the occasion.

These give me a feeling so complicated

But if you're down for a Halloween session Dust, then I'm sure everyone else will be too. I certainly am - seeing Morio's best mangaka interacting with the cast without Koichi to act as a buffer is going to be...an experience
>>

It's gonna be Golden experience.
But, since it is Halloween what about costumes? Joseph could be a Vampire, Hitomi can wear modest Kars outfit, and Jotaro would dress up as Star Platinum.
>>
>>3012216
>Not having Hitomi dress up as Lisa Lisa
Pls. We've fucked up her one chance to have a Hamon student, let her have this.

I'm more interested for what the part 4 gang will dress up as. If Josuke lets Hitomi use karma to recolour his hair red he'll make a killer Sakuragi or Kuwabara.

Also Dust since people are used to you running on weekends only it might be worth saying saying something on Twitter if you're doing a session tomorrow.
>>
>>3012604
Of course, I was kinda busy with work to make room for tomorrow so I kinda forgot about it, while nothing's happening right now it would be fun to speculate what Hitomi and the others would wear.
I'm thinking of Tuxedo Mask or Rurouni Kenshin for Kakyoin since he's kind of a dork
I honestly have no idea on what could fit in Jotaro, what about pic related?
If Joseph was here I'd have him as Jet Black since they share the voice actor.

"Hey Josuke! Thanks for coming here!" Hitomi welcomed Jotaro's uncle, inviting him to sit down on the couch while she went back to her bedroom, calling the rest of her family for a meeting.
"I take it you want me to babysit Jolyne again?"
"Josuke-san!" Jolyne greeted the Higashikata with a hug, wearing a white blanket over her body with two holes cut out so she could see her surroundings.
"Hey Jolyne! What's the ghost outfit for?" Josuke chuckled, taking the blanked out of her head.
"Did you cut these, Jolyne? They're from the hotel, honey! We can't be ruining their stuff like that." Hitomi nagged at her kid, but a quick fix from Stone Free's Stand knitting made her take that complain back.
"Actually, there's more to it than just babysitting her today, Jotaro and I have been kinda busy in our schedule as of late, and noticed we likely won't be here for Halloween since I'll be going back to my lab projects and Jotaro will present his thesis."
"Man, what a bummer! I'm almost getting used to you weird folks!" Josuke quipped. "But what does that have to do with Jolyne?"
"She was complaining about missing a potential Halloween party with you and the gang, so we thought we could make one while we're here! I've been teaching her to knit some clothes with Stone Free so she can make a few costumes."
"But... We're in May... Where could we find the decorations?" Josuke pointed out.

"Eh, we'll figure something out, preparing for the party is the best part of it." Hitomi claimed with enthusiasm. "What do you think?"
"Sure. I don't know if everyone is free for today, but I'll try to bring in as many people as I can." Josuke obliged.
"Thanks a lot--" Hitomi's thanking was cut short by a sound of bursting flames coming from Jotaro's bathroom.
"Don't call out your Stand! You'll burn the paper mache."
"You're the one who wanted me to dress as a mummy!"
"Good grief, I'd have finished my costume in a minute if you two had let me in first."

An early Halloween party would surely be fun for Josuke and his friends, and surely he had a few costumes saved back home, it was only a matter of choice on what he would wear and who to call.

Making his way to the nearest phone, Josuke called a few of his friends, along with some mutual acquaintances from Hitomi's social group.
After a brief waiting period, Okuyasu shoved the door open, bearing a skeleton mask with his father groaning behind him.
"Yo, Josuke! you think Jolyne can make me a new skeleton costume?"
"What happened with the old one?"
"The last time I played trick or treat was with my brother when I was 10, the rest was too big for me so I only brought the mask."

"Ooh! You didn't tell me you had a dog, Okuyasu! What's that costume supposed to be."
"Jolyne, that's my dad you're talking about--"
"H-He brought his dog along as a slime monster! Doesn't it look scaAaAaAary!?" Josuke bumped on Oku with his shoulder, not wanting to blow the mood with the Nijimura's senior and his less than fortunate condition."
"I'll bring him some food from the kitchen after Papa finishes his costume. I bet he looks so cute underneath that costume." Jolyne pets the patriarch's head, the poor blob man sobbing at being treated like a teddy bear.
*Ding Dong*

"Hazamada? You're here too?" Okuyasu greeted the short boy with a high five. "Is that Surface?"
"Yeah, I've grown tired of using it as a mannequin, so I thought of reverting the roles today for Jolyne's party! What do you think?" Hazamada painted Surface to look like him, connecting a few strings from the stand to his body, as the lines under his mouth and his fancy clothing made him look like a marionette.
"Isn't that the guy we called the ambulance for?" Hitomi pointed at Hazamada, feeling confused.
"You can say I have a talent at making friends."
"Josuke-san! Josuke-san! Come here! I want to make your costume before Okuyasu's!" Jolyne wasn't ashamed in the slightest to show her friend preference, patting the chair in front of her.
Sitting down at Jolyne's level, Josuke thought to himself on what to wear, since Jolyne was already knitting with her Stand before, all it could take for her to do a good outfit would be telling her what to look like.

"You've seen Crazy Diamond quite a few times already, haven't you Jolyne? What do you think of making a costume that looks exactly like him?"
"I don't really know if I can pull it off, Josuke-san. Do you really trust me for this?"
"Fully! Hitomi and I can help you out if it gets too complicated." Josuke whipped out his Stand for reference.
"I bought a few buckets of ink for the occasion, I'll just let Karma Chamelon absorb some of those and... Done!" Hitomi's marble Stand assumed it's liquid state, aiding the coloring for Crazy Diamond's head and torso.
Standing still for a good 5 to 10 minutes, Josuke felt as if he was being body painted since Jolyne simply created the fabric over his clothing to start making the Crazy Diamond costume, but Hitomi's careful hands made sure Stone Free didn't go overboard on the design and appearance.
"Whoa! It looks amazing!" Okuyasu was shocked to see the striking resemblance between Josuke and Crazy Diamond. "I bet Jolyne could have a really good career in the fashion industry."
"Uh, no Okuyasu. Josuke's the other one." Hazamada pointed at the bogged down Crazy Diamond close to him, the mask's mouth being open around Josuke's pompadour.
"Oh, I guess that one looks good too... My turn!" Okuyasu pushed him aside and sat down on the chair, where the female Jojo took her time with the skeleton clothing while Josuke stared at himself in the mirror.
"Eh, not bad for the first attempt, but CD's eyes look a bit droopy."
"I made him sad so you could look happier in comparison." Jolyne commented. "Hold still, Oku! I need to draw your bones!"

*Ding Dong*
"I wonder who that is..." Hitomi opened the door for Yukako, where she was dressing as the legendary spirit Aka Manto.
"Red Paper or Blue Paper...?" Her low pitched, throaty voice scared the pants out of Hazamada, who let out a girlish scream that put Speedwagon's wailing to shame.
"Afternoon, missy! I loved your mask, where did you get it?" Hitomi pulled the hood out of Yukako's face, revealing her disturbing mask.
"It's from a school play. Is everyone else here?"
"Jut about everyone, my friends are still taking their time on the bathroom!" Hitomi banged on the door, hurrying them up.
"The paper's still drying up!"
"I give up, I'm changing in Hitomi's room." Jotaro exited the bathroom with his costume in hand.

"Well, is there anything we can do while we wait?" Josuke shrugged, prompting the group to think on something fitting for the Halloween non-occasion.

"Why don't we tell some scary stories to pass the time? We can order some food so we have something to look for when we're done." Hitomi proposed, to which Yukako mischievously grinned.
"Sure I have a good one I heard the other day in our school!" Okuyasu announces, pounding his chest before trying to get a reaction from the crows. Years ago at Budogaoka High School, there was a young girl that loved to play the piano! The played that piano like no one else! Day after day, she snuck out of class to play her favorite tunes. This hobby of hers wouldn't stay for long, as one day, on her way to school, her father's car broke in a car crash! The driver was nothing but a head and a torso by the time the girl got out!"
"Yikes!" Jolyne flinched.
"What happened to the girl?" Yukako asked, excitedly.
"She managed to survive, but her hands were damaged beyond repair, half of her fingers were missing, and the ones that were still there were twisted so badly she couldn't even move them. Knowing she would never be able to play her piano again, she took her own life by jumping from the music room's window on the forth floor of the school. This is why they never showed our piano back in our school."
"You're joking right, there's no way that actually happened." Hazamada argued.
"Of course it did, I just told you so." Okuyasu nagged back.
"We would have known about it if a girl killed herself on our school. I'm sure it would even show up on TV!" Josuke stood with Hazamada.
"The story is real, I tell you!"
The chilling sound of a piano is heard across the room, sending the teenagers into a screaming fit until they did a double check on who was playing at the piano.

It was Kakyoin, wearing a Tuxedo Mask outfit with Hierophant Green, accompanied by Jotaro in a cowboy outfit, who was guiding a mummified Avdol through the room.
"Be careful not to trip, Avdol."
"Hmm-Hmm."
"Not cool! Kakyoin! You almost gave me a heart attack!" Josuke gasped for air, making him breathe hard enough to almost learn Hamon all by himself.
"Telling scary stories, huh? I'm down, who's next?" Jotaro sat with his wife on the carpet, forming a circle on the room.
"Can I go next? I can think of a good story in a heartbeat!" Hitomi tapped her head as a great idea rushed through her mind.

“My Mom told me never to go in the basement when I was little, but I wanted to see what was the cause of a weird moaning noise that prevented me from sleeping at night. It kind of sounded like a puppy, and I wanted to see the puppy if it was one, so I opened the basement door and tiptoed down a bit when Mom was taking a nap. I didn’t see a puppy, and then Mom yanked me out of the basement and yelled at me. She had never yelled at me before, and it made me sad and I cried. Then she told me never to go into the basement again, and she gave me a cookie. That made me feel better, so I didn’t ask her why the boy in the basement was making noises like a puppy, or why he had no hands or feet.”
Everyone was pretty neutral when hearing the story until the end, where the expected reaction of wide-eyed, terrified teenagers delivered on what she wanted to see. The way the mother usually spoke in a calm, positive tone, it likely gave an extra layer of scare to the telling.
"So... Was that story real or--"
*Ding Dong*
The last doorbell rung to cut the eerie silence left by the tale, making the younger half of the audience jump from their seats.
"Wh-Who else could it be? Didn't we call every one?" Josuke scratched his head.
"Oh, let me open the door, I asked her if she wanted to pay a visit for the party but she didn't give me a straight answer. Maybe she was still emptying the salon today." Kakyoin said.
"Salon? So you invited Aya?" Hitomi opened the door to see the aesthetician herself, sporting a Sailor Moon outfit to fit with Kakyoin's Tuxedo Mask.

"In the Name of the Moon, I'll punish you!" Aya tried mimicking the pose from the old Tv Show, escaping a laugh halfway through the choreography. "Hahahaha! Maybe I'm getting too old to play make-believe."
"N-Not at all, Aya-san! You're looking great in that Asagi costume!" The programmer blushed under his mask.
"Since when did these two have had a thing?" Josuke whispered to Jotaro.
"He's had a thing for older looking women for a while now. Aya just managed to fit his tastes." He whispered back, watching the two interact with their charming small talk.
"Apparently something went wrong with the food order. They'll make another batch in around 20 minutes." Avdol took off the mouth piece of his mummy costume to announce what happened over the phone.
"20 minutes? That's just great..." Josuke's stomach grumbled. "Where else are we going to eat now?"
"We could be trick or treating around the neighborhood!" Jolyne tilted her head.
"I don't think anyone will have candy ready..." Hazamada thought out loud.
"It's worth a shot, we'll probably finish decorating by the time you come back." Yukakogave her rebbutal
"Alright! Kakyoin, come with me!" Josuke tapped him on the shoulder, cutting his conversation with Aya.
"Why me?"
"You're the only one out of Hitomi-san's group I haven't hung out with yet, come on!" He dragged him along, with Aya waving him a sweet goodbye in compensation.

"How do we know if a house has candy or not?" Kakyoin asked as he went with Josuke and Jolyne for trick or treating.
"I always judged them up for their size when I was little. See that big, green house there? This guy is filthy rich if his income is anything to go by, he probably binge eats on his free time, maybe something sweet sugary! Why don't we knock on his door?"
Kakyoin reluctantly steps on the unknown man's lawn, knocking on his front door and waiting for the man to take his sweet time to answer.
"Hello, how can I--" A skinny, green haired man stared at the three of them, dressed in their Halloween clothing and quickly changed his attitude.
"Ugh, cosplayers. Go away! I'm not signing autographs!" The celebrity was about to slam the door on Kakyoin, but he took action as soon as he recognized who he was.

"Excuse us, Rohan-Sensei. We're babysitting our kid and pretending it's Halloween, do you mind humoring her?" Kakyoin stopped him halfway before the door closed, politely introducing himself to Rohan.
"Do you know who I am?" The artist was surprised to see someone react normally when meeting him, quizzically assuming Kakyoin didn't recognize such an outrageous figure.
"You're Rohan Kishibe, correct? Author of Pink Dark Boy, debuted at the age of 16, never went on hiatus... You have a fantastic track record for your age and experience, as an avid reader it's an honor to meet you." Kakyoin offered his hand, but Rohan simply stared at his arm in indifference.
"So you're just passing by? You didn't know this was my house?" Rohan opened the door again, feeling a bit more relaxed.
"Exactly, ignore the costumes if you will, we were merely playing trick or treat out of date."
"Oh, good! I thought my address went public. Well, know that you're here, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to get the kid some treats. Do you want to see my studio while you're at it?"
"Just like that?" Kakyoin was intrigued by the mangaka's sudden swing of generosity.
"I've already finished my work for today. I don't see why I shouldn't entretain a fellow man of culture such as a reader of Pink Dark Boy."

"You'll let us in! Thanks alot, Senpai!" Jolyne hopped in excitement as she entered Rohan's home. "I've never read Pink Dark Boy, can you hand me some volumes, Kakyoin?"
"I think they're a bit too gory for a kid like you to read, Jolyne-chan--
"Of course! Everyone should get a copy of Pink Dark Boy as soon as humanly possible! It's how I make my living after all." The eccentric man closed the door behind them.
"I've heard Hazamada was a big fan of your work, but I've sort of grown out of my manga collecting phase, I've seen the anime though. It's a solid watch." Josuke opinionated.
"Hmph! The studios have yet to make a faithful adaptation to my body of work. Even then the experience of holding a physical copy of a manga will always trump in terms of artistic merit when compared to catching a low budget TV-Series that can't even compare to it's original counterpart." The snob looked down on Josuke while he looked for treats around his house.

>So where's the studio?
>Why are you hiding in Morioh?
>Do you plan on ending your series anytime soon?

>With the limitations on both runtime and budget, it's no wonder anime falls short. Maybe a videogame might be a better medium...? Something open world, so that players get to experience every nook and cranny of the world if they really want to....
Don't just come out and say you're a game developer and want those sweet, sweet Pink Dark Boy rights, sound him out first with these musings to see if he's receptive to video games as a possible medium first.

Gotta get there before Josuke and Jolyne tear the place apart or set it on fire looking for candy.

"With the limitations on both runtime and budget, it's no wonder anime falls short. Maybe a videogame might be a better medium...? Something open world, so that players get to experience every nook and cranny of the world if they really want to." Kakyoin played along with Rohan's mindset, seeing if he could get an opinion of the man himself on what he was most experienced at.
"I know exactly where you're going with this, but I don't see the appeal of video games as a means of adaptational work. It's an upcoming medium in the popular mainstream with little to no high art products to show despite being present in the market for over 25 years, as of now, video games have even tighter constraints to adapt stories like mangas, films or even cartoons, evidenced by the amount of shovel ware made by greedy corporations with no artistic integrity. It's something to expect since video games aren't art. They're only there to serve the masses, typical means of productions."
Kakyoin was angry at Rohan's snarky response, shunning a legendary worker like him despite having similarly creative mindsets, such an old fashioned view on video games was something Kakyoin held in contempt for Rohan's ignorance, but remained quiet and issatisfied in order to not ruin the visit.
"Hey senpai, what's it like draw manga for a living? It sounds super cool!" Jolyne changed the subject with her unintentional social skills, asking Rohan about his personal lifestyle.
"It gets pretty busy from time to time, but now that I have done packing out, I can safely continue my work from the comfort of my home." Rohan handed Jolyne a handful of mint candy from a jar beside his staircase, leading them to the first floor.
"Why were you hiding here, anyway? I didn't think a guy like you would live in a quiet city such as Morioh." Josuke was the first to climb the stairs.
"I've only been here for 2 months, but I have lived with my parents here when I was younger, despite them moving to S City a while back. I couldn't be bothered living in such chaotic cities like Tokyo, I need tranquility to work efficiently, so that's why I chose Morioh."
"Ok, but where's your studio?" Kakyoin impatiently asked.

"Right here! Take a look around! I'll see if there's anything else I can give Jolyne in the kitchen downstairs!" Rohan smirked, opening the door to a room with a single table, a drawing board and a fax machine in it, decorate only by a large bookshelf near the wall.
"This guy really couldn't care less about our visit right? He just opened the door without a care in the world, robbers be damned. It's like he's on auto pilot." Josuke hanged his shoulders down.

"Does he work all alone here? I haven't seen any drawing desks in his house... That can't be right, for an art style like Pink Dark Boy's to be released weekly he should have at least 10 people on his studio working nonstop..." Kakyoin was intrigued, feeling something definetly wasn't right with this manga artist.
He must have some sort of trick to work as fast as he does, and since he let you in with no qualms, he probably won't care about you taking a look at his stuff as long as you don't break anything.

>Look at his most recent work.

TOTALLY just to check if it's not too gory for Jolyne's eyes, and not to get a sneak peak of the newest chapter or anything. Cos Kak's a responsible person like that.

Also I'm off to bed, leaving it up to you guys to make sure someone is punched in the face real good by the end of this thread

"Josuke, could you take Jolyne out of the room for a sec? Pink Dark Boy's current arc might be too gruesome for her to peep." Kakyoin made an excuse to be alone with Rohan's manga.
"If you say so... Let's go Jolyne, you already have enough candy to go back home." Josuke took her downstairs, where they would wait for Rohan to return.
"We'll meet you outside so we can get back home!" Jolyne uttered before exiting the household.
"Ok, if you're fine with being such a dick to my work, surely you wouldn't mind if I saw what happened in your story a few days before everyone else, right?" Kakyoin approached the drawing board stacked with papers, attempting to get back on Rohan for dismissing his field of work, stealthily inching his fingers closer to the manga, when he was suddenly intercepted by the numbness of his legs, his skin being peeled and the sudden loss of muscle movement, being fully paralysed as he laid on the wooden floor planks.
"W-What!? What did this manga do to me? Is this... Text?" Kakyoin looked inside his guts, who were transformed into pages, each one of them telling his personal information like a self made biography.
"Kakyoin Noriaki!" Rohan approached him and locked the door, bringing with him an ice cream cone. "I knew you wouldn't resist checking the new chapter of Dark Pink Boy right under your eyes, it's been how I've baited several fans of mine into my trap!"
"Trap!?"
"You see, Kakyoin. I work entirely on my own, from coloring, to editing, to designing. I can draw competently without construction lines and shade precisely simply by throwing ink drops with his pen. Such is my speed that I'm able to do 19 pages in four days,a feat I can easily surpass if I want to take a break for a few weeks, do you want to know why? A great mangaka's talent will only be as good as the way he sees reality itself can be! The experiences forming a person and their characters are the basis for creating stories and plotlines, no matter how small the influence! And it is with this power that I'm able to read deep into a person's life and add their reality into my creations!"
"It can't be... You're a Stand user?!" Kakyoin tried to raise his arm at him, but it ended up falling to the ground like a loose spring.
"Stand user? What the hell is a Stand? I'll have to read them out of you." Rohan laid down on top of the programmer, staring into the text inside his body.
"What do you think you're doing!?"

"This is how Heaven's Door works. Reading about your life and experiences will offer me realistic ideas, it's written on your innards as if I've experienced it myself, nothing is omitted like if I were to ask you personally. It's the absolute truth!" Rohan began to delve into Kakyoin's life.
"Let's see here... Kakyoi Noriaki, born in July of 1971, 28 years old, currently working as a video game programmer, since you were passionate about your hobby, you decided to work on the field to bring happiness for people like yourself, boring, but effective. You felt very alone throughout a great part of your childhood and teenage years due to your... STAND ABILITY!?" Rohan screamed in consternation. "Hierophant Green... It was because of your Stand that you were able to travel to Egypt and meet... Amazing, you've already had a bright future upon you, but everything from 1988 onwards is an absolute masterpiece! Star Platinum, The World, Silver Chariot, The Fool, Magician's Red, et cetera, et cetera! Never in my life have I read so many bizarre adventures in a single lifetime, this is a decade's worth of material for my manga!"
"And what do you plan on doing with all that information?"
"Oh, Kakyoin... You'll be very useful to me in the following weeks..." Rohan ripped out a page off Kakyoin's face.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Top fucking kek

Also I forgot that it took a few days in Canon for others to twig what's going on. Was kinda looking forward to Josuke and Jolyne team up to takw rohan on ngl. I really need to reread part 4.

But also this opens the door for way more people other than Josuke to punch Rohan in the face and that is a good thing. even though a part of me still hopes it'll be Josuke because what's a better way to start a friendship?

Anyway thanks for running Dust! Do you think we'll be having a weekend session?

I hope that kakyoin outsmarts rohan on his own somehow, like through indirect harm or using his stand to control him without hurting him

I've volunteered for a research project so I'll be off for the next 2 weeks, it's why I wanted to progress the story for a bit before I left. Things should go smoothly once I'm back, I'm looking forward to the Red Hot Chilli Pepper fight right after Rohan's.
Do you think inviting old Joseph to Morioh will still be a good idea now that 3 other crusaders are present here?
>>
>>3017234
>Joseph
Damn that's a tough one. Honestly you should just make a vote during the session on this one Dust.

I'd say yeah IF you can make at least one fight (apart from Chilly pepper) centered around him or give him plot importance - so he's not just hanging about like he did in actual part 4.

He could replace Jotaro to accompany Josuke for the Ratt arc, going out with Josuke to train as a form of bonding. Or if he's kept up Hermit Purple he could be the group's best bet at finding Kira, which means Yoshikage would focus all his efforts on taking him out.

Otherwise with the current Crusaders + all the new members of the duwang gang, his addition might make the cast a little bloated.
