/qst/ - Quests

>can't questmaster for a bit because of life stuff
>forget it exists for well over 8 months
damn
anyways I'm back, hopefully more skilled.
The archive doesn't have the previous thread; so perhaps it's best to have a tiny bit of a fresh start.

---

It's a familiar scene, to those aware of the world that exists sideways to regular life. A girl sits on her bed, garbed in nothing but her pajamas. A strange white creature sits in front of her. "So, are you ready to make your wish?" it asks.

Her heart resounds with want.

But just what is that want?

>I... I want to move on, and forget this ever happened.

>I want the bastards that did this to pay!

>I don't care what it takes, give me the skills to bring her back!

Holy shit, this is back. I liked this quest minus the fact it's like a Madoka Magica fanquest or something. Was never sure, but I thought it was OC for a while and enjoyed it more until I realized it wasn't. FILE THE SERIAL NUMBERS OFF YOU STILL HAVE TIME.

>>3031276

>I want to be able to stop this from happening to anyone else.
>>
Also I really wish I could find the old threads, but my google fu is weak.
>>
I vaguely remember this quest. But not what we were doing before it "died".

>>3031558
You need to be really blind to don't notice that this was, from the very start and through all its length, a madoka fanfic.
>FILE THE SERIAL NUMBERS OFF YOU STILL HAVE TIME.
It is nice to want oc quests but you are being delusional.

This is all I could found:

I was pretty blind, yeah. I knew jack squat about PMMM back then, and I know very little about it now. Series never appealed to me, so I never bothered to learn anything particular about it.
>>
>>3031276
>I don't care what it takes, give me the skills to bring her back!
Once more, Suzette begins anew.

>>3032103
I think those 3 threads are all there were.

Uh...did he forget again? Or is this one post a week or something akin?

I try not to make posts until at least one option has 3 votes at minimum.

"I want the bastards that did this to pay!"

The white animal stared at her.

"Very well."

---

You wake up.

It's good to be back. This time around, you feel slightly different.
A little stronger, even.
What does your barrier seem to be like, on that note?

>A massive fiesta. Colorful firework displays light up the night sky as if they were makeshift suns, and all around your barrier lies huge tables covered in feasts. Those aren't the only features, however, as there are also large chlorinated pools filled with glistening water and shows of all kinds. The center of this barrier seems to be the main event, the area ringed by exotic desserts and bonfires of crazy intensity.

>A strange forest filled with toys. These toys take many shapes and sizes, from jumping jacks scattered about to nutcrackers the size of houses. The trees smell of cinnamon, and there's always the faintest chill in the air. The center of the barrier lies within a great tree, insulated from the forest outside. Rivers of hot chocolate flow through carpeted floors, and even the softest furniture can become a deadly trap.

>A prison. Cold, unfeeling stone floors and unyielding metal bars characterize this barrier. Twisting hallways of cells and interrogation devices become more and more disorganized as they get closer to the center of the barrier; some are even perfectly vertical. The center of this barrier is it's greatest office, or perhaps it's greatest cell. Filled with high class luxury fit for a prison warden, any puella magi will notice that getting inside the center is easy. Getting out, however, is a more daunting task.

Also, protip, if it's been close to a day and you don't get more than 2-3 votes, I'd say just flip for it and keep kicking. It's better to remain at the top of the catalog so you can try to attract more players that way.

A prison, huh? That's certainly new. You look around your barrier, taking in the sights, before you turn your attentions to yourself.

What form have you taken?

>A titan of a woman, dressed in a long dress made of filthy rags and limbs covered in metal spikes. Your long hair is barbed wire, and instead of a head you have a cast iron cage. Instead of a face, you have metal bars; the gaps revealing your more pathetic, doll-like "true body".

>A giant female torso and arms, clad in an expensive tuxedo. The bowtie of the suit spins and twirls with manic energy, and instead of hands your sleeves cap with empty black voids, piercing deep into your arms. Your neck and hip area, the "cutoff points", have metal attachment areas, almost as if there were other body parts meant to snap on.

>A metal safe 12 feet tall, locked up tight with a stereotypical combination lock. The exterior of the safe is strangely soft, as if it was made of elastic rubber, and within your interior piles upon piles of gems and other riches lie. On each side of your body large feathery wings spring forth, and on your back the word "SUZETTE" is witch runes.

The girl had always had difficulty relating with others. She wasn't exactly shy; she just never knew what to say. Though she craved to be accepted by her peers, she could never understand them, could never bring them to open themselves to her, could never bring herself to open herself to them. And so the hearts of others were always an unsolvable puzzle to her - until the day she made her wish, and she was granted the power to read them like open books.

But she soon found that seeing into the secrets and desires of others wasn't enough to get them to care for her. The girl couldn't understand why; she never realized that, though others were now fully open to her, she could not grow close to them unless she opened herself to them in turn.

In her confusion and anger, it's little wonder she never thought to change herself; instead, she grew manipulative, pulling the strings now revealed to her to make others fawn over her, fear her, depend on her. Weeks turned to months, as the girl tightened her web of manipulation, drawing the hearts of others closer and closer to her. And yet she found that it was no remedy, for she could see that in those hearts, they still did not love her.

But her web was now drawn so tight that she herself could not break it, if she ever once thought to. But the more she looked deeply into others, she less aware she became of herself. The prison she had made was now inescapable to her. All around her fawning servants and fearful slaves gave her everything except the one thing she most desired. And so she sank into despair.

Hey, you're back! Neat!

I was hoping for more of a Prison Warden kinda getup, but that works.

What did you make in the past thread

Any familiars?

those come after form is chosen.

I didn't know form wasn't chosen yet

How do you come up with the names of the witches and familiars?

How do you come up with the barriers?

You peer down at yourself, taking in your powerful form.

You reach out your consciousness, taking note of your familiars.
Just who are they?
(pick two)

>the Emmerichs, who are prisoners

>the Adalwolfas, who keep the witch locked up

>the Dedericks, who are jail cell locks and keys

>the Elsabeths, who act as security cameras

>the Karls, who decide sentences and punishment

>the Gretels, who smuggle goods into the prison

If we are to be locking others up we would use the dedericks, the elsabeths, and the karls. I'll use the dedericks and elsabeths.

You shake your head, a rattling noise rumbling through your barrier's center as your true body twirls around in there.
You take note of the familiar pink haired corpse behind you.

Now that you're "all there" and have your bearings collected, what now?

>Eat the corpse. Gotta keep your energy up.

>Have your minions throw the body into the river.

>Make immediate note of your surroundings and hunt for victims. Anything else is a distraction.

>Find somewhere out of the way and dwell on your options.

>Write-In

Justice must be served. If you're serving time here, everyone else must as well.

Suzette
The witch of confinement, with a domineering nature. She is documented as a prisoner inside her barrier, although this is a sham. Her barrier is one of a corrupt prison where certain criminals are treated luxuriously. Her true prison cell is her body, as her real form is weak and has the shape of a training dummy. The witch’s magic controls garbage and scrap, like an inmate making a shiv.

Elsabeth
The confinement witch’s minion, who are security cameras. On paper their duty is to guard for rulebreakers, but prisoners can easily bribe them with valuable jewels. If they catch a prisoner who can’t pay or has disrespected the witch, they shoot volatile flashbulbs at them.

Karl
The confinement witch’s minion, who hand out sentences and punishment. They have forgotten the meaning of justice, so no two can agree on what justice is. They enforce their creative punishments by spouting magic legal jargon, poisoning both mind and body.

So corrupted justice and the lost meaning of it in a prison setting.

you focus your mind outside of your barrier, analyzing your surroundings. You're in some kind of industrial yard, and to the left of your barrier a few meters over a wire fence separates you and the Mitakihara river.

The sounds of work resound from a nearby factory, leading you to believe that there's some ripe specimens within.

>Go into the factory and investigate; there might be quite enough to feed off of.

>Drop the industrial yard and move to another location. You're not interested in these factorymen for food.
