We play as Percy a Pokémaniac with a knack for communicating with Pokémon.
He's on his way to become a professional trainer and find his calling in life.

Your team so far consists of:
Houndour
Mimikyu
Loudred
Vulpix (Alolan)
“Prince” (Elekid)

Traveling partners:
Kadabra
Eli: A punkish girl who aims to be the next regional Pokémon champion
Gareth: 20 something college dropout who’s starting his Journey a bit too late

Status:
-Left Arm: Still Broken
-Keeping at bay a murderous psychic entity that’s invading our brain.

Last time:
Percival accepted a job as a translator for Dr. Henry Ford, a gym leader an archeologist to uncover the meaning of ancient texts left behind by an extinct civilization. We finally left towards next town, Madeleine Town, a quiet a tranquil place surrounded by Berry fields, where there are rumors of strange lights going off in the night sky as well as some accounts of UFO sightings.
There Percy had an emotional outburst at his grandparents’ house, mourned his friend Rattata, met a Pokémon professor, caught some starters for the lab, helped fish and subdue a pissed off Gyarados, Prince had his first battle, Percy met his fire-obsessed doppelganger, promised him dinner, and dragged an unconscious girl around town and finally fixed his Pokédex.

We are currently back at the lab, where we are going to meet with our traveling companions.

[Officer]: Police department! Open up!

There was a loud thump in the lab’s door. Some police officer heard reports of a suspicious young man dragging around a girl. Thankfully Professor Maple intervened and vouched for you and your explanation. The men in uniform don’t take long to accept it and apologizes for intruding, mostly because it’s sounds like a thing that would happen to Jeanne (the unconscious girl).

“That girl is too defenseless, I tell ya what.”

Eli arrives shortly after, she’s been thinking up names for Honedge but hasn’t got a good one yet. “What about Friday? ” Eli catches the reference to Friday the 13th in an instant, she asks Honedge if she likes it and the mon seems to agree.

Jaws keeps bugging the Ghost type to let him use her as a blade for double battles.

[Jaws]: C’MON GIRL, I’LL TREAT YOU RIGHT!

[Friday]: Don’t even think about it.

[Tremor]: How about partnering up with a real mon instead?

[Friday]: That goes for the both of you

The pair of crocs find a sense of brotherhood from being rejected by the same Honedge. Putting their little feud aside for a moment.

Eli: Hey weirdo, how long are we gonna stay here? And where are we going next?

Percy: You in a hurry?

Eli:Nah, I wanted some days to get ready for whatever gym we hit next, I just wanna know If I should unpack.

You promised dinner to the other Arsonist, so you can quite leave yet. But it’s a good question. You tell her that there’s some stuff you must do before going and promise to have an answer for tonight.

Aleida finally responded to your message, this time in Salamance Roars. She tells you to not worry about it, she wanted to contact you sooner, but she has trouble figuring out how to use a cellphone. She’s still free if you want to hang out.

You got a couple of hours to yourself before you all go to eat to the local fast food chain, “The Red Tauros”.

You’ll use these hours to:
>Help Gareth with the Caterpies and Weedles, he’ll be leaving them in different groups at Serene Woods and the grasslands surrounding town.
>Hang out with Aleida, tell her you are free
>Go apologize to you grandma for your outburst earlier, afterall it is the first time you get like that in front of them.
>Jeanne seems to be waking up already, you could help her get home as she’s still numb from the sleep powder.
>Go to local Berry/item markets with Eli, she wanted to get some

And speaking of your next destination, you want to go to.

>Adage Village (West): Grass type gym, a rural town with a prominent indigenous population, in the middle of an ample Valley, you’ll have to do some trekking to get there. You know that there’s a nature reserve that is also a Safari Zone for trainers that get their badges.

>Silverpoint City: (Southeast) Go trough silver passage and arrive in the mining town, you should be careful there because of its high crime rate. The old mines and dilapidated building are home to various Pokémon, the Dark type Gym Leader runs a nightclub, she’s famous for being a bit too aggressive and harsh towards challengers specially newbies. Most trainers wait to challenge her until they got more than half badges.

>High Alva City: (South) The capital of Aztlan, the biggest city of the country. A bustling metropolis filled with all kinds of people, places and Pokémon. Near and active volcano. It houses the Fighting type Gym leader, an actual gym where People and Pokémon work out together, it also has a ring to exhibit matches. It’s also home to “The Arena” the biggest Pokémon Stadium in the region, where professional trainers go to compete on regulated televised matches
.
>New Carranza City: (East) A bright an active modern city, home to the fairy type gym, as well as Aztlan’s main contest hall. There’re dense woods surrounding it that are a popular touristic location as they seem to be out of a storybook.

You and Eli move around the Market stalls, there’s plenty of vendors offering all types of berries, as well as some selling medicine and Pokéballs. Even if the vendors only act casual and friendly to attract customers there’s a hint of honesty on their words, it gives you homely feeling. It reminds you of the times where your grandma would take you around town and buy you some berries since you always liked to eat them so much. Bluk berries are without a doubt your favorite and ever now and then she would bake some Bluk berry pie for you.

You tell the girl you would like to go to Adage Village next and ask her where she would like to go, she thinks it’s a good idea, she got routes planned for either going there or going to New Carranza City.

Now, what should you buy…

Eli is specifically looking for anything useful in battle, she learns a bit about berries when she worked at your gramps herb shop.

Loudred's mouth is practically watering while Mimikyu flips frantically through the recipe book you got to see what can he make.

>Ingredients for Mimikyu's recipes: $1,200 (Y/N)
>Satiate Loudred appetite for berries: $600 (Y/N)

After your shopping, you find yourself with a little free time left. You should use this to...

>Try to listen to any rumors regarding the town from the locals
>Adam seems to be buying groceries, or maybe he's just buying snacks, see how your little cousin is doing?

You decide to look out for a couple of more uncommon berries, to cover for your team’s weak points. You manage to find the last pair of Baibiri Berries on of the stalls and even one Shuca berry, these could be useful later on.

You get the cash out!
>10 Pokeball: 2,000
>10 Bluk Berry: 500
>5 Sitrus: 1,250
>5 Cheri: 750
>5 Leppa: 500
>3 Babiri Berries: 1200
>2 Shuca Berries: 800
>Cooking ingredients: 1,200
>Berries for Loudred: 600

Total: 9,600
Money left: 39,000.

Loudred does her best to restrain herself from gorging herself with all the berries at her hands reach, while Mimikyu is just muttering to himself about how many things he would like to make.

You decide to indulge in both Mimikyu’s and Loudred desires, giving the little ghost mon enough money to shop for his ingredients and letting your other teammate buy different types of berries she was dying to try.

Prince, who’s tired from today has drifted off to sleep so you put him back into his ball.

Also, Eli’s mon are acting a bit suspicious, namely Tremor and Jaws.
[Jaws]: CHECK IT OUT DUDE, I GOT *SOME* DA-
[Tremor]: Hey! Keep quiet! Remember that “he” can hear us!
[Avenger]: What do you have there guys?
[Tremor]: Nothing, don’t worry about it Avenger.

Eli: Yo, is there anything cool to do in this place?

You prop up the portable bike you’ve been carrying around. You got confidence in the muscles of your legs and you want to show off a bit.

Percy: How about I show you around?

Eli: DUDE, how do you keep forgetting your arm busted? It’s literally attached to you!

Eli gives off her usual coarse and loud laugh, you feel a bit embarrassed. She proceeds to get on the bike’s driver seat.

Eli: Alright, hop on and hang on tight! Can’t keep dragging you around with two broken arms! Just tell me where to go!

Percy: Su-sure.

You get on the bike rear rack and hold on to Eli with your functioning arm. Trying to not press against her too much and concentrating your mind into the town landmarks. The girl starts pedaling as fast as she cans. You hold on to your life as every indecent thought you could have vanishes and is replaced by pure fear.

Thankfully she slows down after a while.

Percy: That over there are Serene Woods, got a lot of grass types. Pretty good for camping. And that’s Pablo’s creamery, best Ice cream around by far.

Percy: And of course, the Church of Saint Hernan, oldest building in the city.

Eli:Oh, I know that guy, Saint Hernan the Slayer of giants!

Percy:You’d read the holy scriptures? (You are honestly surprised)

Eli: Hahaha! obviously not. But my dad knows a lot of passages and tales from them, cuz he grew up in a church orphanage and stuff.

Eli: And the tale of Saint Hernan was his favorite, he used to read it to me all the time.

Eli: “And by his blade, bathed in holy light, did the beast fall to his knees. And his tainted soul was cleansed by the fires of judgement!”

She stopped the bicycle to do a dramatic interpretation as she narrated, with the help of Friday as Saint Hernan’s Aegislash, Jaws as the gigantic beast and Avenger as the saint. You and Prince applaud her demonstration.

Eli: Hey weirdo, catch it.
She throws at you a small leather strap that could hold a small item and go around the leg of a mon.

Eli: I wanted to get something for you..I mean, your Houndour, cuz that shitty rope collar you made is about to snap. As a thanks for the fishing advice.

Eli:And this two weeks, in general. U a cool dude. I mean, you are a nerd, and obviously nowhere as cool as me, but you are cool in my book.

She seems a bit embarrassed about the gift. Covering her face with the bandana. She eyes you for a moment and offers you a fist bump. You respond accordingly.

Percy:Thanks, and you are pretty cool too. Definitely on my top-three of coolest human friends.

Eli:Who’s Number one?! It better be me!

The two of you laugh for a bit and spend the rest of the time just walking around town. Picking up some fights against other trainers for fun.

The hour of your meeting with the arsonist approaches. And maybe Aleida the revolutionary girl is still free. You’ll meet him at the edge of the forest and you’ll go to the red tauros.

You say goodbye to the girl as Eli goes to scout for a good place to spend the night.

Taking your phone out to send a message to Aleida, to see if she’s still free since you are going to eat with a…person you know, she responds on Aggron roars telling you that she is! She asks for your location and promises to meet you at the *Red Tauros*. She wonders if it safe to eat from there since she doesn’t trust food from the city so easily, you reassure her it’s safe. Nobody has been intoxicated from their food this year at least!

Night falls as you crept to edge of the woods. The winds courses through your skin, giving you a rather ominous feeling, it’s surprisingly cold and makes you wish you brought a jacket. A grinning figure stands near the trees, his companion a horned dark beast glares at you, trying to make you know she’s ready to tear your face off at a moment notice.

[Arsonist]: What’s good my NIGGA?

Percy: Ehm, hello again. My name’s Percy by the way.

As you walk into town the guy practically salivates at the thought of having some fast foods. “I haven’t gone there in ages!” He claims excitedly.

At the entrance of the colorful building a tanned girl who looks strangely familiar smiles at your arrival, she’s being accompanied by a Deino. You don’t finish connecting the dots until she let’s out from her mouth a rather familiar sound.

[Aleida]: (Flygon noises) Hello Percival! Glad to see you here!

Percy: (Ditto noises, and wobbly movements) Hey Aleida, let’s enter already, it’s getting a bit cold outside.

[Aleida]: (Barking like an Arcanine in all fours) Sure! I didn’t want to enter by ourselves, me and Deino aren’t accustomed to this kind of places. Oh, hello Houndoom, does your Master treat you properly?

[Houndoom]: Not my master, I’m just using him to become stronger, I’m the Master!

[Aleida]: (still in all fours) I see! I guess that’s okay too!

Percy: (Imitating a Pidgey) I’m not sure about that.

[Deino]: I want to try some nuggets.

[Arsonist]: What the fuck is going on.

Aleida has changed her clothing and outward appearance the best she could, since her image is already well known around the republic, she had to get rid off the flashy costume she was wearing and opt for something more normal, even thought it’s still pretty obvious that she’s not from around.

As you enter the premises it dawns on to you that you need a topic to talk about…
>Their views on Pokémon
>Ask Aleida why she joined the revolution?
>Ask Aleida about her Poké-communication abilities?
>Ask the arsonist about himself? Maybe his real name?

The establishment is indistinguishable form all the others, the red and yellow colors plastering on the wall, the smiling caricature of a Tauros enticing the customers with vivid pictures of burgers that never look like the actual product. The smell of the meat being cooked on the grill. It’s a good place.

The Arsonist ordered a pretty hefty meal for himself, while Aleida, feeling uncomfortable out of her natural element which you guess are the wilderness goes for the first thing she sees on the menu.

Yours and the Arsonist meal: $1,500

Looking a bit closer to the revolutionary girl and her Pokémon you can notice that the two of them are sporting some sort of electronical device around wrist, mabe it’s something to track down their location?

You already got an idea of what Aleida’s deal is, but this guy. You can’t make head or tails about him! Let’s open everything up with some casual chat.

[Arsonist]: Hey, did you really roar and growl at each other out there? Or I’m finally losing my last grasp at reality?

[Aleida]: Oh, don’t worry about it, that’s just our Poké-communication! It’s like talking to Pokémon.

[Arsonist]: It’s great to know that was real, cause seeing you bark like that on all fours was pretty hot!

[Aleida]: Hot! Yes! Cause Arcanine is a fire type! Is this one of those clever “Play on words”?

[Arsonist]:No. I mean, that it was hot, in my pants.

You hurry to change the subject before things get even more awkward.

Percy: HEY! Fire…dude! Why don’t you tell us a little about yourself! I think I never caught your name

[Arsonist]: I’ve gone by many monikers throughout the years! Including but not limited to: “Kid over there”, “That weird guy” and “Worthless piece of garbage!” but lately everyone calls me “Arsonist” so I’m just going by that. I think it fits me.

He speaks with this manic grin on his face that tends to make you feel a tad unsettled.

Percy:What about your real, ehm, given name?

[Arsonist]: Don’t need it. If you really want to know me Pierce, well, for starters I’m a Capricorn, according to the ancient Aztlan calendar I was born under the *ICE* star, Ironic I know. I enjoy math-core, grunge and prog-rock. Blood type is AB, I love me some chili cheese fries as you are aware, hate Bluk Berries. I can cook some mean chili, but I never get the fries right. My secret talent is playing the drums…

[Jeanne]: Alright, your order is here! Two number 1 and a large number 4 with an extra patty, extra cheese, extra bacon, onion rings instead of lettuce, a side serving of large Chili cheese fries and a large soda!

[Jeanne]: Percy? How are you?! Your grandma told me you where in town, I was looking forward to meeting you!
>>

Why does this girl know you? You’ve only interacted with her while she was unconscious! As you look confused to the employee who’s acting way too familiar with you a pair of uniformed man bust through the door, you think you recognize them, they are the same ones that chased you on motorcycles!

The Arsonist is trying to convince Aleida that the paper wrapping on the burger is the most nutritious part of the meal…and she’s falling for it! Deino is getting mad, threatening The Arsonist to stop “Disrespecting the *Envoy*”

The pair of men who look to be part of the Capture and Defense Corps catch a glimpse of your table, “Is that damn kid who stole our potions!” they basically bolt towards your table, the Arsonist, with a sudden movement held Jeanne hands behind her back with one hand and points a pokéball to the uniformed men. Houndoom growls threatening towards everyone.

[Arsonist]: ALRIGHT, NOBODY MOVES OR THE GIRL GETS IT!

[Arsonist]: Excuse me, but what’s your name.

[Jeanne]: Je-Jeanne. (The girl says between sobs)

[Arsonist]: Oh man, that’s just perfect. Just play along ok?

[Arsonist]: (Whispering) Hey, compadre, help me out here please. Teleport me and the girl to the woods.

Aleida seems incredibly nervous, something about the pair of uniformed men is worrying her greatly. She doesn’t know what to do, but she has something on her mind

Percy: Sure thing my amigo. Just let me do something real quick.

Percy: Hey Kadabra, hows your telepathy doing, think you can handle 4 minds at once?
You look at Loudred, Aleida, and Jeanne, Kadabra gets it immediately, thankfully, your bracelet doesn’t mess with your psychic mon teleportation or telepathy.

Your mind is suddenly filled with thoughts of preoccupation, confusion, fear. “Why are they here?”, also a lot of intense praying.

“LISTEN UP”, you grab everyone’s attention, making your thoughts as loud and clear as you can. You quickly make the girls conscious of your plan so there’s no failure in the teleportation.

Loudred let’s out a Screech grabbing the attention of the uniform men and the Arsonist, you use this chance to teleport to safety both Jean and Aleida, without the girls in the picture, the two uniform men let out a Ninjask and a Boldore who are about to engage with the Arsonist and his Houndoom. Kadabra comes back and gets the Arsonist outside of the restaurant, his Houndoom runs past the pair of attacking Pokémon to search for her trainer.

You let the money at the table and rush with your team to the side of the building. The men in uniform seem confused and start to follow you behind.

>Kadabra’s curiosity and complete disregard for privacy has made him improve greatly his telepathy and mind reading, being able to connect others minds while they stay within range!

>Property damaged: Completely averted.

>Percy is pretty good planning at a moment notice, he doesn’t lose his cool easily under pressure!

Percy: Who are these guys? What’s going on?

[Aleida]: They are members of the revolution, I knew there were a couple of them around here pretending to be from the Capture and Defense corps.

Percy:Why didn’t you stop them then?

[Aleida]: (Apologetic)Well… I’m not supposed to be here, and they didn’t seem to recognize without my old disguise, besides, most human members don’t really listen to me, sorry… (She seems honestly embarrassed about this fact)

Percy:Then, why are they chasing us?

[Arsonist]: Because I stole their shit on the way here, trashed their mons. Burnt their tents. And here’s my Houndoom! That’s my cue for getting out of here.

[Arsonist]: Thanks for the meal my man, you a real nigga. I’ll stalk you online later.

[Arsonist]: And Jeanne, you were a great hostage, I liked that whole crying for your life thing you got going on, hope we can repeat it soon.

[Jeanne]: (Still sobbing and scared): Th-thanks?

The Arsonist returns his Houndoom to his ball and lets out an Aerodactyl, he hops on the prehistoric beast planning to escape.
>>
>>3038754

The confused revolutionary members disguised as C&D corps are getting near you. You also can hear the sirens of a police car getting louder and louder. Aleida says that she better get away from here before things get ugly. Jeanne is just confused and scared.

As fast as you can you get your team inside their Pokéballs to let Kadabra bend the laws of time and space with more ease, not being sure of where to go, you just ell him to get out of here as soon as possible. In less than a second you find yourself surrounded by grass and trees, you can see the few lights from the town from a walking distance, the moon bathes the trees with its shimmer. Once again you are in Serene Woods.

Fixing your gaze to the sky you can see the Arsonist escaping on his flying mon, heading towards the south.

Aleida let’s out a sigh of relief, looking at her new surrounding she decides to lay on the grass She seems more comfortable in nature.

[Aleida]: This is a lot better, don’t you think so?

Deino is grumbling, he’s angry at the Arsonist for making a fool out of his comrade, Aleida tells him to not worry about it.

It’s not that late yet, and authorities are probably just looking for the Arsonist, so you shouldn’t worry to much about returning to town.

> “Are you alright with them not listening to you? Aren’t they your comrades?”
> “I guess you are not used to towns, right?”
> “I was meaning to ask about our Pokécommunication”
> “Why are you on the revolution anyways? Are there no other ways to help Pokémon?”

The forest is calmer during the night, the only sounds you can hear are the nocturnal bug types and occasional Hoots from Noctowls and Rowletts. Aleida seems more relaxed and open here.

Percy: Hey, can I ask something? It’s about our Poké-communication

[Aleida]: Sure, what’s the matter?

Percy:Almost everything? I have tons of questions. You are the only other person who I know that can understand them in the same way I do. That can be right, right?

[Aleida]: I think we are, even though, it wasn’t always like that. How about I tell you what I know? Old man Nezahua told me about it during history lessons!

“The girl starts to reminiscence the stories she was taught, long ago, before the conquest of the region, the southern tribes or “Huiztlampa” lived in nature alongside Pokémon, as equals. These tribes where protected by titanic spirits of nature who roamed the land.”

“The mediators between the humans and these spirits were called “Envoys”, and traditionally, they would be blessed by the spirits with the ability to understand the language of beasts. They weren’t the only ones that could do it though, in the ancient days it was considered a gift, not quite common but not unique.”

“Those blessed with the gift, would have to go a vote of silence, for various years. Leaving people behind and becoming closer to nature.”

“But, when the spirits who roamed the land where subjugated and executed, and the tribes they protected where decimated, the number of people with this gift dwindled, to the point of disappearing.”

[Aleida]: At least that’s what Old man Nezahua says. I don’t know if I could call it a gift, I spent a lot of my life only with Pokémon at my side, so It feels like a normal thing, to understand them.

[Aleida]: Learning English was way harder!

[Aleida]:Oh, it’s getting pretty late, and I didn’t even get the chance to see if you could teach me how to use a cell phone!

[Aleida]: I hope that helped, it did for me! See you later Percy, let's stay in contact!

The girls imitates a Claydoll cry and the Pyschic mon suddenly appears before her. They disappear without leaving a trace.

And if you survive

>Go to the berry fields and hunt for ALIENS
>Later, try to cook again with Mimikyu!

Since your day has been full with all kind of strange and potentially dangerous people.

You decide to set up camp here in the woods, that way, if anything goes wrong no one in Madeleine should get hurt, you inform your travelling companions about this.

Eli and Gareth are a bit disappointed since they were going to play poker with the Professor tonight.

You inform your team about what you are gonna attempt, and ask Kadabra to assist you in this task, he'll be checking on your dreams and will try to wake you up if things go south.

Mimikyu and Prince are really worried about this, and would prefer you didn't do it, Loudred advises you to be careful, Houndour tells you to "avoid dying" and Vulpix wants you too "Kick her ass for using her"

While you get ready to drift to sleep, Mimikyu holding your bracelet, you try to picture something in your mind.

You concentrate on picturing the Doll Room where you first "met" her. The childish furniture, the colors of the walls, all the dolls standing around the shelves in the room.

The missing pieces of your memory are complemented by her.

>Neutral location, (favoring her)
>Slightly lower DC.

She's sitting in a corner, huddled. You can get a good look at her face.

You try to take a step towards her but your way is blocked, all the dolls form a line between you and her.

[Victoria]: You cut me off...

[Victoria]: But you returned. No one ever returns.

There's an eerie silence between the two of you, the strangeness of the room, the colors that seem to change without reason. You try to breathe but there's no air to fill your lungs, and here, you don't need it. It feels like a mockery of reality.

The feeling over you is a confusing one, you empathize with her feeling of loneliness, even if it's partly self inflicted. Being all alone can take you to dark places. Even still, her actions, what she does to Pokémon, what she almost made YOU do.

You can't help but feel irate.

[Victoria]: I'm glad you did...

[Victoria]: I want your help...

Percy:You, are planning to escape?

[Victoria]: No... I want to make a friend. Like the ones you have...

There's a hint of sadness in her voice.

>Victoria is more welcoming to you!

You can’t help but feel pity for her. You aren’t sure how you would be if you never met your Pokéfriends. Or if your parents weren’t there for you. If she really wants to make a friend, a real friend, then you can’t say no to her. Still, you try to approach this situation with caution, to avoid any misunderstanding.

Percy: I’ll help you. But you have to promise something alright?

Percy: You won’t take control of any of my friends, or me. Well, maybe you can take over me sometimes, just give me a warning first.

[Victoria] You are, giving me permission?

Percy: Sure, but we can’t go ripping apart Pokémon or humans, that includes me.

She seems to think about it for a second, mumbling something that you can quite hear. Her taxidermied guards stand aside and let you pass, you sit near her, trying to get her to understand that you aren't afraid.

Percy: I'll try my best to help. But, you have to understand something first.

Percy: Friends don't like it when you hurt them, or hurt the ones they care about or when you try to control them.

Percy: I'm still not super great at this, myself. But I know you have to treat others the way you'd want to be treated. That's the Golden Rule. You wouldn't like it if I made you hurt, right? Of course not!

Percy: If you're going to make connections with people, you need to see things from their point of view, WITHOUT taking control of their mind and literally looking from their perspective. Just as everyone else. We clear on that?

[Victoria]: I think I understand, and don’t worry. I don’t think I can hurt him, even if I tried.

(Oww, she really cares about him! She can’t even see herself hurting him!)

Percy: Hey by the way, while we are on the subject, last time, I was scared and pretty angry when you took over me back in the ruins. Why did you do that?

[Victoria]: I’ve never seen a Larvitar before, not up close. I felt curious about his anatomy since I’ve only seen it in pictures, my father always says that if something awakes your desire to know more, nothing should stop you from doing it.

Percy:Including, hurting others?

[Victoria]: He thinks that as long as I don’t hurt other humans irreparably, it’s okay.

(That’s sounds a little worrying)

[Victoria]: He’s a Pokémon, I think he is at least. I’ve never seen him before, but I can hear him., in my dreams, or when I’m all alone.

Percy:Sounds like a ghost type. I can give you some pointers to befriend them!

She keeps covering her face during the entire conversation, but she sounds a bit happier. Not the intense and manic joy she had the first time you agreed to play with her. It's a more calm and peaceful feeling in her voice.

[Victoria]: Thanks for coming back…

[Victoria]: Only my father has done that for me

[Victoria]: I’m sorry… for hurting you.

You are actually taken aback from her apology. She seems a bit different from your previous encounter, this escapes from your thoughts.

Percy: Is everything fine? You seem, more calm than usual

[Victoria]: After you cut your connection with me, I lashed out. They confined me somewhere, alone. But it's okay now. I'm okay now. I'm not alone anymore.

[Victoria]: I hope next time we meet. We can play, the tree of us.

>Saturday Morning. 6th day of your Journey.

Your grandpa is always going about his numerous UFO sightings on town. Even if you don’t get along with him, he talks about them so much that you’ve hear them countless times.
They always happen during the last hours of the night, just before the sun rises. It’s pretty cold outside but nothing will stop you! The only ones conscious at these hours are Mimikyu who doesn’t sleep much.

The number of berry farms and the lands that they use to cultivate has grown exponentially ever since Blackstone.Co came into town with its trained Pokémon workers. But you don’t have to scout all the farms, since most of your grandpa’s stories took place in the same location.

Near the entrance of the Madeleine where old man Jerry’s gas station was located. It’s about 4:00 am, you get comfortable on the ground and keep your eyes peeled for any strange sightings!
….
….
It’s actually pretty boring to just wait for an UFO sighting to happen. At least Mimikyu keeps you company. When you think about it, in all of grandpa’s stories he was doing something! When the UFO appeared. But it never did when he was actively searching for them.

Oh, oh, OH! Something in the crops is moving! It is making a crop circle?! But there’s nothing in the sky! Oh man you better take a closer look!

It’s just a Clefairy, running through the crops. She seems to be in a hurry, you consider helping her out, but you are too busy waiting for any signs of extraterrestrial activity.Beside there’s nothing following her.

A couple of minutes pass by, a black, classic car drives near you, it’s stops in the dilapidated gas station. The man driving lowers the window. He is a dark-skinned man wearing a suit and a tie, as well as black sunglasses, in the co-pilot seat there’s a Beheeyem.

[Man dressed in black]: Kid, have you seen any fat pink blobs running around these parts?

Percy: Oh, I saw a Clefairy! She went towards the lake! (You say as you point effusively towards the wrong direction. Like a liar.)

[Men in black]: Thanks kid. See ya, be on the lookout for any giant bug -types!

The man yells as he drives off, you wait until his car drives away far enough, you stand up stretching your legs while whistling, trying way too hard to not look suspicious even though the only one here besides you is Mimikyu.

Then you run through the field trying to catch up to the fairy type. Her short stubby legs aren’t match for your human limbs, you are getting near to her, she notices and gets scared, trying to run even faster. She’s holding something, like a red colored card.

Percy: WAIT UP! I WANT TO HELP!

Clefairy screams as you run towards her.

Convince her you are not a threat!

After running who knows what distance, you and Clefairy are wheezing. (Not the Pokémon, you briefly imagine being a Wheezing and having two separate brains)

[Clefairy]: Alright *gast* You win *gasp *I won’t make it time anyway… (Clefairy says in short pauses to gasp for air.)

Percy:I told you, *gasp* I’m here to help!

You tell the little fairy that you sent the Man in black in a different direction, so that should save her some time. But she retorts that even without him following her, she won’t make it to Silver passage in time.

Thankfully, you know of a certain mon who’s done a pretty good job taking your from place to place.

[Kadabra]: (Sleepy) *Yawn* Isn’t it a bit too early to be using me as means of transportation?

[Mimikyu]: You wouldn’t be so tired if you didn’t stay up late using Master’s phone after he’s asleep.

[Kadabra]: …I’m doing research.

That explains your search history filled up with philosopher, different kinds of knives, blades on sale and that guide to boost self-confidence.

Kadabra teleports you to the entrance of Silverpoint passage and returns to his ball to continue sleeping. Clefairy is really thankful! She just might make it in time! You try to ask her what’s the hurry, and where’s she going? But she’s kind of dodgy about the issue. She lets you know that she needs to get to a certain part of Silver Passage and keep her *Red Ticket* safe.

You follow the Clefairy who seems to know her way around the place. While you walk around the place you are met with:
A double encounter.
Taking second and third roll.

As you walk through the cave, minding your own business, your face hits a wall. An invisible one.

As you try to feel it to see how ample it is you realized you are surrounded by three small walls and a transparent ceiling. Before you can step back a Mr. Mime comes from the shadows and makes another wall to trap you inside.

[Mr.Mime] Hand over that Ticket! Or say goodbye to your precious trainer!

[Clefairy]: This Ticket is rightfully mine! And he’s not even my trainer! Just some human helping me!

[Mr.Mime]: Dangit.

[Mimikyu]:…But he’s my Master!

The little ghost looks at you and then glares at Clefairy, ready to snatch that Ticket from her hands. Before anything else happens a furious Lunatone starts shooting “Power Gem” on Everyone. Mr. Mime uses you as a shield, and thankfully, the walls he made are strong enough to negate any damage to your person.

The Lunatone wants her ticket back, someone stole it from her, on a closer inspection you see that the Mr.Mime is carrying one red ticket already, why would he need two anyway? Then you see it, in a corner of a cave, a Mime Jr hides behind a rock, probably his son.

Mimikyu uses Shadow Sneak to get the small piece of red plastic from Mr. Mime hands and quickly gives it to Lunatone to make her calm, she asks her a favour you can't quite hear and then tells you to duck as fast as possible.

You get on your knees as the Rock/ Psychic types uses Power Gem once again before Mr. Mime can act.

You feel the invisible walls surrounding you close in, it would be pretty bad to be crushed under psychic energy barriers, considering your arms is broken and is just starting to heal.

The small glowing crystals that Lunatone produce barrage the upper part of the walls, finally breaking them. You are free and unharmed!

Mr. Mime takes his offspring and absconds from the premises.

Lunatone thanks Mimikyu for his help and goes on it's way to the ship. Once you are out of danger you confront clefairy about the nature of the tickets.

[Clefairy]: (Nervous) We aren’t supposed to talk about it, since it could cause confusion and turmoil on Pokémon’s without a Ticket. People too…

Percy: I just want to know what’s happening here, maybe I could help other mons this way!

[Clefairy]: (Nervous) I don't think so? But, if you really want to know. I guess I should to tell you, You've helped me out after all ...

Clefairy comes clean. It's an escape ship to return *home* she doesn't give details on the nature of this place, nor how did they get their hands on it.

All the Pokémon that arrived in it were given a Red Ticket, having it, it's the only way to board the ship, who's set to sail in about 30 minutes.

They are escaping the region. The other mons back home believe a catastrophe is going to happen soon. So they sent various ships to get all their "explorers" back as they believe, this region is doomed.

An intense sensation of dread washes over you the moment you get the notice, even before you left home.
There been various strange happenings occurring around you these days. Meeting the Yellow King, the Blackstone guns around the abandoned factory, the White Room, the revolutionaries, the ancient ruins made to be bunkers, the whole prophecy that the Golurks had, the whole Victoria thing, the Arsonist. Giant Man eating Hippowdons. Being able to talk to girls. And now this.

Just, what is going on?

[Mimikyu]: There’s no way that’s true, right Master?

Percy: I don’t know Mimikyu, this could be serious.

As you arrive to the part of Silver passage where all the mons are waiting to board, you notice that there’s a commotion in one of the exits of the cave

A Gigalith is standing in the spot where the ship is going to arrive, impeding anyone from passing through, he’s saying that he won’t let anyone pass!

>You did your part, you have a ton of things to think about while you prepare breakfast/lunch with Mimikyu

You make way trough the multitude of Clefairies and their evolutionary lines, as well as some Lunatones, Solrocks and Elygems. To the exit of the cave, it’s a small mound of grass surrounded by various meters of rock, seems like a good space to land a spaceship.

The Gigalith knocks out a Solrock that was trying to subdue him, he doesn’t have any intentions of letting anyone trough.

Standing in the entrance , you make sure to grab his attention. You can feel his heavy steps as he approaches.

[Gigalith]: What is a human doing here? This is a matter of us Pokémon!

Percy:Gigalith. I’m not here to fight, I just want to talk for a bit. Why are you impeding all these Pokémon to return to their homes?

[Gigalith]: Because they are buncha cowards! Stay here and help us! We gave you a home when you all arrived!

[Gigalith]: As soon as you heard there’s going to be problems, you all try to run with your tail between your legs!

[Gigalith]: You pink furballs are a shame to Pokémon-kind! And you, how can you call yourself Rock Types if you aren’t ready to go through hard times? Now get back to the cave before I crush you human!

The Rock type seems pretty hard headed, he could be hard to sway with your words.

You step up to him, Mimikyu by your side. The Rock type stomps one of his feet fast and hard, trying to make you shake as the ground beneath you trembles.
You don’t know how grim the situation is, truth is, it worries you greatly. It even scares you. But, regardless of what happens. Abusing your strength to impose your will, hurting Pokémon in the process, that’s something you can’t condone.

Cowards or not, they should at least have a choice.

[Gigalith]: Puny human, you are going to assist this dreary bunch of weaklings?

Percy: You don't get to decide who leaves and who stays.

You’d always prefer to use words.

The Wooden club Mimikyu carries slams the left side of the Gigalith, the Rock type loses its balance and leans to the right. He didn't expect to be attacked so suddenly and not with such strength. Putting all his power in his limbs Mimikyu is able to make him stumble onto a wall, crashing into it. You can see MImikyu's limbs shaking a bit from the recoil damage.

>It's super effective! Gigalith is close to half his health!

The attack hurts him greatly, The Gigalith uses this pain to fuel his rage even further.

The Gigalith retaliates with a Rock Blast! He stomps on the ground sending boulders flying through the air, 3 of them manage to hit Mimikyu, busting his disguise and damaging his body.

>Mimikyu took some damage from the Rock Blast and recoil damage from the Wood Hammer. He's not looking that good being around half it's health.

She stands in front of you and prepares to weather the attack. She toughs out the projectiles, only losing about a fourth of her health and impeding you from getting hurt and the entrance of collapsing.

You try to rally the Pokémon behind to you to stand up to this Gigalith, even if they aren’t that strong, and their better fighters have already been knocked out, if they all try together, they can accomplish anything!

Loudred starts rushing towards the Gigalith, the rock type stomps fiercely on the ground, breaking it. he is trying to use Stone Edge to stop your mon dead on its track.

She may not be fast, but she's at least faster than the Gigalith. She jumps into the air into her opponent way. Her fist raised up to the skies. Her fist comes down on Gigalith's head.

The Rock type can hardly sustain itself, he falls to the ground unconscious, making the makeshift arena rumble from its weight.

You go towards the rubble to look for Mimikyu, thankfully the little cook is alright, albeit knocked out unconscious.

As you dust Mimikyu's disguise before returning him into his ball. You better stop by at a Pokémon center after this is done.

Loudred is really confused. "Isn't it a bit too early to be fighting?"

Before you can go anywhere else, you start hearing a strange whirring sound. Something is casting a shade over you. All the Pokémon in the entrance of the cave rush to the middle of the place. Holding their Red Tickets up in the air.

A strange light beams them upwards, as they enter a seemingly invisible flying vehicle.

The Clefairy you've been helping goes towards you and thanks you for your assistance. She wants to give you something for your trouble!

>Comet Shard (Sells for 20,000)

She says goodbye and wishes you luck!

All the mons standing with their tickets are beamed up towards the sky, the ship drops it's camouflage for a second to reveal it's strange circular shape. Once all the mons are aboard it's zips towards the sky nowhere to be seen.

A group of Boldores and Gravelers enter the place, they brought some berries for Gigalith and will be taking care of him, they are part of the same group and will be taking care of him.

Not wanting to bother Kadabra any further you decide to sleep him sleep at least until you are out of the cave, after all you remember the route Clefairy gave you.

You receive a message from Eli, she’s asking if you saw Tremor and Jaws anywhere, she just woke up and they aren’t at the Pokémon center. You really hope that pair isn’t in trouble. Specially with people like the Arsonist and the revolutionaries around.
For mere chance you stumble into them, they are sitting in the ground eating chips and.

The pancakes are blackened and burned, it’s berry filling tastes salty, charred and bitter. You made Prince and Vulpix almost vomit when they tried your cooking, not knowing how actual pancakes should look like they took the risk.

Mimikyu thinks that you may not be ready for this.

At least the Omelets came out fine! That is, after Mimikyu took over them. Even tough they had this strange, “grassy” and bitter flavor to them.

All of your team, except for Houndour and Prince who lost all of their appetite. Instead, Houndour decided that’s is time to teach Prince how to hunt. You oblige, after all, you know the woods are safe without the Arsonist around.

In the meantime you decide to take a walk around town, not feeling particularly motivated to do anything at the moment.

A little while later.

Vulpix and Kadabra are lazing around near a park bench. Kadabra even stopped floating around an is instead spread all over the bench discussing with Vulpix.

[Vulpix]:…SO, Back home, they said that we came from fire types Vulpix that became Ice types after living in the snowy mountains for so long.
[Vulpix]: I mean, I don’t believe that fire-type Vulpix still exist, but what if we all came from fire types?

[Kadabra]: I….I think… I don’t know… I used to believe we came from dittos, but, what if Dittos came from us?

Loudred is just eating anything she can get her hands on, even eating the burnt pancakes you made earlier. And Mimikyu is Zipping around you, threatening everyone that gets too close to you. It doesn’t help that for the last twenty minutes you’ve been desperately trying to convince everyone around you, that the region is in danger because an extraterrestrial Clefairy told you so

Percy: It’s true! I SAW THEM WITH MY OWN EYES! WE NEED TO GET TO THE ANCIENT BUNKERS!

As you try to inform everyone from their impending doom, a couple of uniformed men approach you.

[Officer]: Hey son, you are causing quite the ruckus. Could you come up to the station with us for a sec?

Oh shit.

Kali: Don’t mind him officer, he’s just my traveling partner, he gets like this when he forgets his meds! I’ll make sure he takes them!

Before the blonde girl can object against this claim you get your team back in their balls and start sprinting trough the market. The older officers have no chance against your paranoiac lanky teenage self!

You outrun them in a matter of minutes, but you can tell they are still following closely by. So you should hide somewhere.

You run towards nature, escaping from the law. You are sure that if trouble arises your Poké-friends can help you out!
You’ve run a lot today.

The woods are as tranquil as always, ample and dense enough to avoid been seen easily. Inside the forest you find your little cousin in the edge of the forest watering his grass types friends, you wave at him and he waves back.

After running for a bit you find some bushes where you can sneak into. It’s mostly hollow behind the trees, like some sort of “Secret Base”
You are starting to feel a bit sleepy, so you curl up pretending to be Metapod and take a quick nap.

Hours later you are woken up by Houndour and Prince. Seems like their hunting went Okay-ish. They managed to track down and even defeat some edible bus and flying types but Prince refused to eat any of them. And he kept apologizing when fighting them. Finally, they settled for some fish. Regular fish, not water types. Just fish.

Your little cousin arrives and kicks you out of his “Secret Base”.

It’s currently two in the afternoon. And you aren’t being searched by the police anymore.

>You got a new message!

Kali: Can we talk? I have an offer that could benefit both of us.

There's a picture attached to the message.

It's Eli wearing Lopunny ears.

You aren't sure if Kali isn't so bad or if you would be selling your soul to the devil.

While you muse about this you start to hear a loud roar.

Adam blows a whistle and calls all the Oddish, Glooms, Seedots and Nuzleaf around, he marches in the direction of the roar.

Vulpix: Would really like a bath. Has been slowly mellowing out towards her teammates, mostly Mimikyu and Kadabra.

Prince: He’s still scared of Houndour, but he’s starting to see him as a mentor.

South Aztlan. 1973

Your name is Arthur Williams and your whole body is in pain. A cold sensation numbs it enough to make it bearable. A smoky scent of plants and herbs is recognizable, you can hear somebody grinding something near you. Opening your eyes reveal a wooden ceiling. Around the small rustic room there’s all kind of concoctions, dried plants, and berries.

You really hope hell looks like one of those damn hippie herb shops, otherwise this would mean you are still alive, and that God decided to play a cruel joke on you. Afterall, you preferred to be a dead man before a traitor. A murderer.

You are covered in a strange fragrant ointment and bandages. Whoever is keeping you here is starting to walk towards you.

Wait, where are your Pokéballs? Where is your team?! Completely disregarding your hurt body, you try to stand up and start shouting for your friends. A woman rushes in and begs you to calm down. Her attire is one you recognize, the simple handwoven garments, the colorful stone collar around her neck decorated with tusks of Dragons. She didn’t even have to speak, you know what she was. She was one of THEM. Those fucking SAVAGES.

They got the jump on you and your squad. With their damned DRAGONS. The camp was in flames, all your squad gravely injured, no Pokémon in condition to fight. Your team, being as resilient as they are where the last line of defense. But they wouldn’t survive another barrage of attacks.

You had to make a choice. Your men and you or your team.
The Woman says that you are in no condition to move and hurries you to keep resting. “OUT OF MY WAY, YOU SICK SOUTHERN WHORE”, you scream at her as you push her aside, and with weak steps you call out for your team. Pidgeot comes flying trough the door, trying to push you back towards your bed. You can see all of them peeking through the open door. Nidoking, Hariyama, Slowking, Tyrannitar, Slaking, all of them are here. Alive. You felt a sense of relief.

The woman tells you that they brought you hear, so she could treat your injuries.
>>
>>3048804

Arthur: Why would a dirty *southern* help a soldier? If this where the other way around, I wouldn’t even stop to look at you. Might even finish you off.

Herbalist: Not all of us are involved in the matters of this war. And helping others is my vocation. When your friends brought you here and explained what happened. I couldn’t refuse them.

Arthur: You can talk to them? As if. Then you know your men did this right?

Herbalist: I’m well aware that a group revolutionaries is hunting down the soldiers stationed here.

Herbalist: And your friends told me what *you* did for them.

Arthur:If you really can hear them, then you must think I’m insane.

Herbalist:I don’t, not at all. All life is precious, their worth depends on the one judging. Your friends where more important to you. That’s all.

Arthur:I should have expected that kind of answer from one of you. Bunch of tree huggers nature lovers.

Before you can say anymore, Slowking uses his psychic powers to lay you down again in the small bed, Slaking uses yawn to calm you down. And lull you to sleep. Once you were more stable, the girl and your Pokémon left you in one of the military camps. It wouldn’t be long before you met her again.

Our little breather episode is over.
Who’s ready to make some decisions, roll some dice and face our inevitable fate?
I hope Percy is.

>SESSION START.

ONLINE:
Percy: You shouldn’t use a man’s preferences for your own gain Kali. That’s not Poké-respectful.

Kali: So you DO like the Pokémon cosplay stuff.

Percy:Wait, you didn’t knew?

Kali: I had my suspicions, you just confirmed it. Now will you hear me out?

Percy:Eh, I need to think it over, I have stuff to do first, real important normal stuff.

Kali:Don’t keep me waiting.

Percy: Maybe I will! You can’t stop me!

You decide to deal with all this Kali stuff later. Right now, you have other things in mind.

Your little cousin and his cavalcade of Gras types march like soldiers being led by the childish rhythm of his whistle. They direct themselves to the origin of the roars and screeches, it sounds as a group of Raticates fighting among themselves.

He’s really weird States Vulpix judgingly.

Percy was even weirder at that age, it could be a human thing says Kadabra on Adam’s defense, and to back up his claim he relates the time when he first met you, trying to “mark” a whole alley as yours using your “bodily scent”. While spending your time in garbage containers to scavenge for shiny things with Murkrow, also laying on the waste for hours to better understand Grimers.

Vulpix seems disgusted by this.

Putting all these claims aside, you decide to.

>Follow Adam carefully, trying to not be noticed. See how he deals with whatever is happening
>March in the front of the group with him, whatever he’s going to deal with him, you are sure he can do it on his ow.

You and your team tiptoe around the woods following the strange Pokémon troupe trying your best to not be noticed, staying 10 meters away from the group marching onwards-

The usually calm and quiet woods are now the home of desperate and violent screeches of battle, which grow louder and louder as you continue. Trying to make sense of them proves rather useless as they consist mostly of expressions of anger and battle roars.

When you are finally close enough to have a look of the situation you aren’t sure what to make of it. It seems like a normal dispute between Raticates and Rattatas for control over territory, a turf war of sorts. But instead of two groups battling for supremacy, there’s a single furious creature slashing and biting in a fiercely flurry of attacks at every other Pokémon of his species.

A blonde man in a lab coat writes down on his little notepad at an almost inhuman sped, while his younger assistant tries to keep up with him. You recognize the assistant! Is Lydia! That girl Gareth took out for dinner at Ibarra Village.

The native group of Raticates lay defeated as the Rattatas tremble against the sight of their new “Alpha”, but it seems like the victor of this fight has no interest in such position. The humiliated Raticates plead the Grass types for help.

[Man in lab coat]: Now we can finally move onto trainers. Miss assistant, heal the “specimen”

[Lydia]: Ri-right away Dr!

The girl approaches the Raticate a bit fearfully, she’s holding a Super Potion. But before she can make her move your little cousin gives a command.

[Adam]: FIRE!

Sorry anons, already rolled for them. Their fate is sealed.

[Man in lab coat]: Multiple objectives, might as well register the data on that at once.

[Man in lab coat]: R-79. Battle configuration 78. multiple targets.

The Raticate cloaks himself in searing flames using “Flame Wheel” and with blinding speed he rushes towards the horde of grass types. Evading the “Razor Leaves” flying towards him, and the stray one that could hurt him is incinerated by the flames covering him, he takes out the Glooms and Oddish shooting Stun Spores and Sleep Powder first, moving onto the Nuzleafs with incredibly efficacy and finally lunging at the wall of Seedots protecting your cousin.

Enraged at the defeat of his comrades little Adam tries to fend of the beast waving a stick he found in the woods, barely grazing the quadruped beast with his improvised weapon he receives a particularly nasty strike of Raticate’s tail at his leg. As he cries in pain.

The man in the lab coat just keeps scribbling while glancing at the scene “Doesn’t waver at retaliating against humans”, “recognizes kids and takes precaution of using nonlethal methods”, he mumbles to himself.

The man tells his subordinate in a particular to give some medical aid to the kid, “you know the procedures” the nervous girl runs towards him and tends to his hurt leg.

[Man in lab coat]: You shouldn’t try and fight Pokémon. We humans are just not suited for supremacy in terms of strength. If it weren't for our intellect we might as well be extinct,

The man finally takes notice of you.

[Man in lab coat]: A trainer! Subordinate give me a quick review of him.

The girl in white garments takes from her bag a Pokedex, she scans you with it, you guess it has a function to search for the data linked to your Trainer’s License.

[Lydia]: Sure! Percival Williams born in..

[Man in lab coat]: The relevant details

[Lydia]:2 badges, winner of the Rookie tournament….

[Man in lab coat]: Level of strength, appropriate. Trainer, would you be interested in a quick match? I’ll reward you appropriately if you manage to beat me. 2 vs any number of Pokémon you have in hand.

The man dressed in white flashes you a TM disc that reads HYPER BEAM.

[Adam]: (Disgruntled sounds of pain)

[Lidya]: I think his leg is broken doctor!

[Man in lab coat]: Just take him to a clinic!

On one hand, that Raticate just decimated a full pack of his same species as well as a dozen of different grass types. Also he broke your ten years old cousin's leg.

On the other hand, he may be tired from all the battling, and the Pokémon he defeated didn't look particularly strong. You have numerical advantage and a free TM never hurt anyone. Besides, it's a Raticate.

Percy:Wait, what do you want if you win? I’m not sure if I should waver TMs.

The Raticate starts cornering Mimikyu, getting up close to him, taunting to attack left and right. Mimikyu is more than ready to receive the bite. Or so he thought, Raticate sharp fangs easily tear trough his disguise, it doesn’t just break his fake neck, Raticace *Bite* tears apart Mimikyu’s fake head until it’s nothing more than yellow colored shreds.

For a moment Mimikyu stops and fears. “What would happen if that was my real head?”

>Mimikyu flinched!

Mimikyu doesn’t have to think to much about it since his real body is promptly assaulted by Raticate’s fangs. Leading up with a particularly nasty “Crunch”. His bite runs deep into Mimikyu’s body, damaging his little rag even further. With Mimilyu in his maw Raticate proceeds to smash him against the ground and make some distance once again. Mimikyu looks pretty bad. Raticate looks at Mimikyu, waiting eagerly his next move.

>Not a successful pass.

Before Mimikyu gets the chance to gain as much speed as necessary to get his *Double Team* going on. Raticate goes for the offensive, closing in once again. The Normal Mon seems to expect every one of Mimikyu’s seemingly erratic moves, cornering him before finally landing a finishing Crunch. As Raticate fangs dig deep into Mimikyu’s body, the ghost type tries to claw at his face with desperation, trying to get at least a little of damage in, Raticate responds by pressing down further, a shriek of pain comes out of the little torn up rag as Mimikyu falls to the ground, mustering a weak “sorry” before passing out.

>Mimikyu is knocked out!

“Two attacks were enough more than enough, without counting the first one to get rid of the decoy, overall the expected results.” The man writes down as he narrates his observations.

Loudred steps up to the battlefield, she's pumped! Ready to strike awe on her opponent and even the score. Prince cheers for the purple mon briefly

[Man in lab coat]: *R79*,continue with Battle configuration 33-B. Brace for impact.

Raticate stops moving in suck jittery manner, and stands stills, curling up his body ready for the oncoming strike. Loudred starts to move towards her opponent, spinning her arm and getting ready to let loose. Her usual calm and gentle expression changes to one of intense seriousness with just a spark of enjoyment for the thrill of the fight that she just can't help but express.

>CRIT

Raticate braces himself to endure Loudred's attack. Planting himself firmly and getting ready to retaliate with a *Counter*. Confident on his abilities the Raticate openly taunted Loudred.

"If the rest of you are as strong as that disgusting blob thing, you don't stand a chance. Give up fatty!"

The pissed of purple mon decided to stop holding back for a moment.

There was no way to endure what hit him. Loudred fist crashed against the Rattata's skull with astounding force, the sound of the dull hard strike reverberated around the woods.

Cracking the earth and burying the Ratticate's head and upper torso on the dirt.

>It's super effective!
>Boosted damage!
>CRITICAL HIT.

The Hammer Arm takes a toll on Loudred's stamina and speed. (Harder Evasive Rolls, Loudred's Speed has been diminished )

[Man in lab coat]: An unexpected result, something outside the established parameters. But, how could this be...

The blonde man takes out his Pokédex and uses to scan it Loudred, whatever he found, it made him smirk happily. His subordinate looks at him distressed while she tends to the injured child.

[Man in lab coat]:Destiny is such and inane concept, but this is such a convenient coincidence.

[Man in lab coat]: A battle between unfinished projects. Both raised in such different conditions. This saves me so much time.

The man in the lab coat appears to be invigorated as he lets his second Raticate out.

[Man in lab coat]: *R80* Battle configuration 27, D. Manual. Trees.

The Raticate starts to zip around Loudred, jumping onto the trees and moving between them. Faster than your mon can keep up with.

You command Loudred to get a cloud of Toxins going on, she's accustomed to let out smaller. So forcing a big one could prove difficult for her!

Rattata's Trainer (?) has the edge on terms of speed, he commands his Pokémon to drop his guard to focus on getting a hit on with *Hyper Fang*.

Independently of the result, Loudred is following up with an Echoed Voice, you command her to try and cover as much space as she cans with her attack, the power will be diminished but you got better odds at striking the Raticate.

Still moving from tree to tree at blinding speed, the Rattata launches himself from a trunk towards Loudred’s back. Your teammate struggles to get the Toxins outside in time as Rattata drives his sharp fangs deep inside Loudred’s skin. She screams and winces from the pain letting the half-baked poisonous smoke dissipate in the air, the noxious concoction was still too weak to poison her attacker
The *Hyper Fang* made her *Flinch*
Loudred tries to no avail to get the Raticate out of her back, her opponent just let’s go and once again takes distance from Loudred leaving a gash behind.

>The attack took about a third of her health!

Raticate’s trainer(?) seems a bit upset by this, is almost as if he wanted his Raticate to be poisoned.

Without losing any time, they take this opportunity to use “Sword Dance” while Loudred recomposes herself.

>Raticate’s Physcal attack has increased!

The Raticate returns to zip around the trees, while Loudred tries to get a hit in using *Echoed Voice*. You cover your ears as she lets out her deafening voice out, more evenly spread to try and cover as much area as possible. Her loud attack makes Raticate’s quick steps go unnoticed, as he jumps from a tree to deliver another *Hyper Fang* to Loudred’s back, tearing into the gash he made earlier but with a fiercer brutality this time, his teeth cut deep into Loudred’s skin, making her wound even larger. Loudred must press against the wound to keep herself from bleeding too much, she’s dizzy and can’t keep standing much longer.

>Loudred is bleeding out but she remains conscious.

You have to act quickly before the Raticate attacks again.

>Loudred has been defeated.

Houndour is the next one to go into the fray, cautious of him. The man in white garments commands Raticate to keep his approach, jumping from tree to tree, becoming a hard target to read.

Houndour is focused on Raticate's movements, not letting him out of his sight, your Pokémon starts to charge forward at Raticate, ready to intercept him with a *Crunch* to keep him in place!

Surrounded by optical illusions of fat rodents moving frantically from tree to tree, Houndour relies on his other senses to discern the real Raticate.

>Raticate used Double Team! His evasiveness increased! (Harder DC to hit him!)

Your mon finally gets a hold of the real Raticate, following the sounds of his clawing on the trees, Houndour runs towards the space between two of the trees Raticate is hoping on, propelling himself into the air with a jump, he opens his maw to *Crunch* upon his opponent.

Judging by the surprised reaction of his opponent he got the real one!
Raticate tries to get out of Houndours way in mid-air, trying to divert his trajectory using his weight, but Houndour manages to get his attack in! The*Crunch* presses hard on Raticate’s body, his defenses have been compromised, Houndour tries to pin him down and follow up with a flamethrower but the Raticate manages to get out by clawing at your mons face, it didn’t cause any real damage, but the surprising retaliation made Houndour loosen his grip enough for Raticate to escape.

>That *Crunch* took about a third of Raticate’s total health.
>9 The *Crunch* lowered Raticate’s SP. Defense!

The normal type falls to the ground and quickly reincorporates himself, Houndour does the same, as they face one another, Raticate continues moving around Houndour, surrounding him with his afterimages, expecting the right moment to strike.

Percy knows his stuff, lowering Sp. defense was a common misconception amongst the Pokémon community a few years ago, making this mistake would be a deep embarrassment.

Houndour prepares to fire a *Flamethrower* in a circular motion, to torch all these afterimages and the real Raticate. Keeping a continuous stream of flames could diminish the potency of its attack, but you'll definitely get some damage going on!

The normal type prepares to strike before, baring its fangs he starts to close in even more!

Searing flames come out from Houndour’s mouth, covering his surrounding in hopes to burn his opponent. Continuously blasting the flames takes a toll on Houndour but he manages to hold it long enough to hi the Raticate! His opponent takes revenge on his burn fur by quickly launching at Houndour neck, driving his teeth into your teammate using *Hyper Fang* stopping his flames. Raticate proceeds to drive him into the ground, pushing Houndour with all of its weight before letting go.

Raticate looks considerably hurt, with a bit over a third of his health left, he once again makes some distance between him and Houndour, taunting him with his afterimages as they appear to be ready to strike and finish this bout as fast as they can.

Houndour on the other hand is in a critical condition, the *Sword Dance* has boosted Raticate’s nasty bite even further.

>CRIT FAIL

As the multiple images of Raticate come down onto your teammate, Houndour delivers a *Crunch* to the one nearest to him, as he bites upon its torso the only thing, he finds in his mouth is air. Emptiness. From your mon’s left, the real Raticate emerges and with a single well placed *Bite* at Houndour’s neck injuries he makes your mon growl in pain weakly before he loses consciousness. Raticate he topples over him. Standing over your defeated companion the Raticate looks upon you remaining teammates with a cold focused look as he huffs deeply to compose himself after this last bout

Prince trembles at the sight, scared of seeing three of the strongest mons he knows defeated, specially his big sister Loudred whom he thought was unbeatable. Vulpix says she “Could take him down! I’ll prove just how much stronger I’ve gotten” She seems to think that if she defeats this Raticate, without a doubt she’ll finally prove to be superior to her teammates. Kadabra analyzes the situation tranquil.

Adam finally let Lydia take him to the clinic. “I’ll be back soon Dr.Orizaba, don’t leave without me this time!” The Doctor just shrugs and tells her to not make him wait too long.

You decide to give Vulpix a shot, you know she's still not strong enough as the other members of your team, but she has been trying to catch up, and her battle against the Gyarados and Alexandro proved that.

The Raticate is hurt pretty badly, if you get a confusion in, make him sloppy, and give him a few good strikes there's a chance you can win this with your little ice mon!

You tell her that she's up and to do her best! She smiles pleased and confident.

[Vulpix]: I’m always doing my best! Just sit back and relax, I got this in the bag!

[Prince]: B-be, careful!

[Vulpix]: I don’t need you to worry about me, you crybaby.

Dr. Orizaba: *R80*, keep the same configuration, Evade, finish this promptly.

The Raticate nods and rushes towards Vulpix, his afterimages still in place, they surround the little ice type as flames start to surround his body, he's using *Flame Wheel*.

The blazing afterimages circle around vulpix at a considerable speed, forming a sort of illusive vortex of flames that generates heat to surround Vulpix and wear down her movements.

Vulpix eyes start to glow as an orb of flashing lights start to form in front of her. The Raticate starts to close in, ready to attack!

The Raticate backs down as the little ice type fall to the ground, rolling on the floor completely unconscious, her legs twitch reflexively trying to evade the attack that already finished her off.

Even you know when it’s time to call a battle off. Returning Vulpix to her pokéball. Kadabra seems a bit glad of this decision, Prince seems a bit calmer after being assured he isn’t going to fight against the Raticate.

Percy: We surrender, the battle is over. (You state, solemnly)

The man stops scribbling notes and takes a look at you, he sighs disappointed.

[Dr. Orizaba] I guess that’s enough data to go around. Thanks for your time young man.

[Dr. Orizaba] (Mumbling)… Let’ see, reaction time, memory, logical thinking, speed, physical attack, all of them seem optimal. A couple of tests with intermediate-level trainers and we should be able to start mass production... And I should take a closer look to the Exploud project.

You try to hand the money to the Dr, he tells you to keep it, not really caring much. The wager was to motivate you to not hold back.

There’s a slight bitter feel on yourself.

As you get ready teleport to the closest Pokémon center with Kadabra’s help, Dr. Orizaba advices you to “take care of that Loudred”, he wants to see just how far you can take that “specimen”. Just before you can teleport away, the man in white garments takes out his Pokédex, it seems like it picked up some sort of “signal” but since he was engrossed in the battle, he couldn’t take notice.

He stares at Prince for a slight second before you and your friends appear in the Pokémon center.

>Battle end.
>Percy’s loss
>Mimikyu, Loudred, Houndour, and Vulpix all gained Experience!

.............

You find yourself waiting with your team at the local Pokémon center. All of them back to good condition thanks to the healing station.

Except for Loudred, the nurses are stitching the cut in her back, it shouldn't leave a scar.

Mimikyu is feeling down, as his last two battles he hasn't been really useful towards Master.

Kadabra is just glad you made a sound choice.

Prince feels a bit useless, being too scared to even consider fighting.

Houndour sees a need to become stronger, not only him but everyone. Rethinking his decision to not evolve yet.

Vulpix is the one who's dealing with this loss better than the rest, maybe because this is more commonplace for her. She's actually glad you thought she could handle it

Loudred finally comes out of the door, followed by one of the nurses attending the center, she tries to scratch her back where her injury is located but the nurse tells her to leave the gauze alone, so it can properly heal.
You decide to try and take your mind of things, there’s no use on getting directly into another battle after that whole “being decimated by a pair of Raticates” happened.

”Why the long faces?” Says Vulpix rather cheerfully.

”We were humiliated by a couple of rats” retorts Houndour rather coarse. Afterall. How can he become a good enough leader if a Raticate is stronger, faster and maybe smarter than him? He explains.

”It was shameful, I couldn’t get a single hit in” Mimikyu interjects as he tries to fix his tattered costume, thankfully enough, he had prepared a new fake head for this sort of situations.

”You know how it feels now!” Vulpix announces triumphally, even though she lasted less than the others, and welcomes them to the “Catching up to others” club. (She’s the founding member). Mimikyu agrees with her. ”Of course I'm right”!

Houndour, strangely enough, praises her enthusiasm and motivation. Vulpix tries to act like it’s not a big deal as she gets flustered.

The streets of Madeleine town are particularly hectic today, mostly the main plaza, where the yearly “Festival of Saint Hernan” is being held, a yearly celebration that lasts the weekend. In memory of the “Slayer of Giants”. It’s also tied to some local history if your memory serves right.

The place is busting with different kinds of rides for the kids, fair stands selling different types of food as well carnie-like games. That may or may not be fixed. The smell of sweet and salty treats is accompanied by the sound of the ride’s machinery and the multiple voices of attendees.

There’re mostly families around, couples with their children and Pokémon, your parents took you here a couple of times, but your memories are rather vague. Most memories of this town, besides the time spent with Rattata are.

Vulpix’s attention is grabbed by a local amateur Pokémon contest, the entry fee is $500, the winner gains some cash as well as a surprise prize. It consists of two stages, an Introduction where the Pokémon appearance, grooming and presentation is judged and a Performance, where te Pokémon must showcase his talents in a showy.
The contest is a “freestyle” one, where anything goes!

Vulpix natural cuteness will definitely come to shine on this.
Even though, after camping and staying at the Pokémon center, you hadn’t had time to groom the little ice type, not that you ever do. She usually takes care of her own hygiene, but she still has traces of mud from the battle with Gyarados staining her fur.

There's no chance of winning a contest like this if the pokemon is dirty, we can drill Vulpix into using something like powdered snow with icy wind as a basic routine.

You text Eli to see if she’s okay with you using her bathroom to clean up Vulpix, can’t win a contest with a dirty Pokémon. You are sure it won’t be a problem. You get near the Pokémon center to use their open internet connection.

[Online]

Percy: Hey, I got a really dirty girl with me. Can I use your bathroom?

Eli: What?

Percy: You can help us out if you’d like.

For some reason Eli seemed a upset and confused until you explained that you just wanted to wash Vulpix for a contest.

Eli: Man, you really are participating in dat lame beauty pageant?

Percy:Contest are an important aspect of Pokémon culture! They showcase their elegance and beauty!

Eli: Whatevs dude, not my style, but maybe I’ll drop by to see u modeling. PRETTY BOI.
Percy:Thanks for the compliment, I like to think of myself as decent looking.

Eli:It wasn’t a,

Eli:Forget it. Catch u later weirdo.

Eli gives you the number of her apartment, she’s currently on the completing some bounty hunting. She’s sharing the room with someone else to cut expenses, she says you can just enter as the door remains open.

The motel is close by, using Kadabra’s teleportation you find in front of the small homely establishment. Entering Eli’s room, you are met with a strangely familiar scent. Seems like someone else is in the bathroom. Also, you can feel a certain presence creeping behind your back. (It’s not Victoria, that’s a presence inside your head)

The bathroom door is open, seems like someone is cleaning up their team, a certain blonde girl in a loose shirt wearing glasses. She doesn’t seem to notice you.

>Just wait for her to go. (Less time to clean and pretty up Vulpix)
>Tell her to hurry it up, you need to clean your mon!

"Hello, I'm Percy. Eli let me in! Do you need assistance to clean up your creatures? I believe that washing our mons together would be optimal"

Trying to be as nonthreatening possible. You feel something creep trough your leg, the girl in glasses tells whatever is messing with you to cut it out.

She looks at you with a rather tired expression while you smile trying to appear as friendly as possible. She invites you inside with a dry tone.

You start scrubbing Vulpix, the little ice type seems a little weirded out as its the first time she takes a bath like this, she doesn't object though, wanting to look as good as possible for the contest.

The girl thoroughly scrubs her Prinplup's back, the mon seems delighted.

The silence between you is a bit uncomfortable.

>I didn't know you wore glasses
>hey, your dad's a dick
>Victoria isn't so bad
>so, contests?

I know it would be funny to see Kali's reaction to our "joke" if we say we know somebody similar to her without glasses, but we already know the gist of Kali. She's not the type that will take any commentary well mannered. I think we should just shut up and ignore her, and just speak to her when is strictly necessary (mostly Victoria-related stuff). We're autistic but not that dumb to keep adding wood to the fire

As you continue to wash your little furball, the silence between you and the girl in glasses continues. At least Vulpix seems to really like being pampered in this way. You really should do this more often trainer! The Prinplup offers to help you clean your mon, and Vulpix welcomes the extra attention.

Kadabra and Mimikyu tell you to hurry up, as they don’t really like the girl. “She doesn’t respect master” your little ghost friends says to you with a whisper, Kadabra is on the edge as he feels something poking his back but finding nothing.

Percy: Hey, I know someone who looks just like you, Minus the glasses.

Kali: Are you for real? Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if you were. You Pokémon obsessed maniac.

Percy: Hey I did recognize you! I wouldn’t mistake that friendly Prinplup even after she evolved! (She’s a cute after all)

Percy: Why are you so harsh on me?

Kali:It’s a little luxury I can only permit myself when I’m around you. Moving into other subjects.

Percy:And you are staying with Eli because…

Kali:It’s practical. It saves me money, I can gather info from her and her bounty hunting, she’s an appropriate sparring partner. And other miscellaneous stuff not of your concern.

Percy: So you are not really friends, you are just using her. Like you did with me.

Kali: Do you really think I’m that heartless?

Percy:Sometimes.

Kali: Whatever, relationships with people or Pokémon. They are all about what you GAIN from them, and what you can GIVE. Allies, info, resources, companionship, even “friendship”. You can have fun, trying to make “real friends”, I have my own objectives.

Kali: And, about my offer…

Percy:I don’t really want you meddling with me and Eli, something in the back of my head keeps telling me that’s a WRONG move.

Kali: So, you DO, care about her in that way. Thanks for the confirmation. And my deal has nothing to do with that.

Percy: IT DOESN’T?

After cleaning up your mons Kali hands you a little list of materials, she managed to track down the person who made the bracelets that keep Victoria from taking control of your minds, there’s apparently a way to cut that connection definitively, and a lot of the materials needed for the ritual come from Pokémon. She wants your help to collect some of them. Not only for her, but for Dick too. She’ll put you in contact with the Exorcist in case you want to ger rid of her as well.

>Accept, help her out. (But you’ll keep Victoria around) and leave the apartment.

As much as we know Victoria is alright, it's really their choice whether they keep her around. And trying to convince them that Vicky isn't so bad might be very difficult, considering they have even worse memories associated with her.

You want to know if Dick is on board with this first, she better not be lying about helping him. She calms your paranoid self by showing you her messages with him. He seems serious about this whole deal, no trace of flirting whatsoever. He must be serious about this whole deal.

You excuse yourself for a moment to use the bathroom. To talk with a little voice in your head. "I won't leave you. But I think they deserve a choice in this matter" a couple of moments later you feel a response coming out of the center of your brain "You better not... I won't forgive you if you do"

You try to assure Victoria that you and her are in this together, like a Paras and their parasitic mushroom invading their brains!

Probably not the best example, you apologize to Victoria for calling her a parasite but there's no respone, Eh you are sure she got it, she knows her Poké-biology. Maybe you can talk with her a bit more tonight or later with some help from your psychic friend Kadabra.

You get out of the bathroom meeting an annoyed Kali expecting an answer

"I'll do it. For Dick. He's my friend after all" Your not one of his cronies or a pawn she can manipulate. You just want to help your friend, and maybe her.

"It's a deal" she states in a serious tone. The two of you shake on it while staring at each other with a bit of animosity and recluctance.

Then a Haunther pants you, he and Kali laughs.

......

With your pants back on, and a clean and cute Vulpix you are ready for the contest.

Time to dress your mon up!

You are inside the small tent alongside a group of various trainer, most of them are familiar faces.

The contest organizers have put together a small box of different type of props. Most of them are old, used costumes of various sizes for anyone to use. All the other contestants got their stuff already. But there should be at least something that could fit Vulpix, maybe something nice and simple like a pink scarf and a tiara could do the trick?

You look around the clothing while you think on how to introduce her.

You and Vulpix are standing on a wooden platform along the other contestants. You found a nice small bright pink scarf that you tied as a ribbon around her neck, you also found a small tiara but she refused to wear it. Stating that it was more appropriate for Prince.
She was slightly disappointed since she wanted to dress up as a wizard to go with her “magical performance” but found no costume.

On the audience you can spy Eli who’s looking a tad bored, Gareth sharing some popcorn with his team and Lydia, they are with your little cousin who’s got his leg in a cast. Your team Is also here, Prince standing on Loudred’s head to get a better view, Mimikyu is also here, ready with a glow stick in hand for your performance.

There’s a trio of judges sitting on a desk evaluating all the participants, al of them retired Pokémon coordinators. They seem to have taken a liking at Vulpix, praising her snowy white fur, cute demeanor, the tasteful and minimalistic scarf, her appearance and overall state. You got this in the bag!

>Vulpix’s looks scored some good points with the judges!

The lights turn dim, as the reflectors focus on the participants. There’re some faces you recognize. Kali with her cheerful Prinplup, Church girl with a really FLUFFY Mareep, Charles Donner flexing alongside his bulked up Bibarel, A girl with a chirping Pidgeotto.

“Ladies and Gentleman! Please welcome our lovely participants and their trainers! Young boy, why don’t you start off by introducing your cute little Vulpix!” The announcer states while ponting in your direction.

Oh, they are talking to you, the lights are on to you and Vulpix, and oh man, there’s more people here than you thought there would be. All their attention on you and your mon, eyeing, judging you. Your hearth is beating quite fast. Calm down Percival, you’ve dealt with angry dangerous man-eating Pokémon. This is nothing.

Percy: I- I’m, I´m the Percival, from North Pass. And this is Vulpix. She is… (Stop stuttering, everyone is looking at you. Just, talk, normally)

Percy: The Alolan variety of Vulpix is a fascinating specimen, they are equipped with internal glands that help them regulate their temperature on warmer climates by letting out cold waves of air produced on their gastrointestinal system that cool them down and freeze their sweat producing small ice crystals, their canines are shaped in a different shape from their sister variant since in the wild they freeze their prey before eating them, with wider and a bit shorter shape for the purpose of crushing ice…

You lift Vulpix on the air and start to show her canines, she seems a bit surprised when you start to shove your hand in her snout and bites your finger, blood tricking down your finger, but that doesn’t stop you.

[Vulpix]: Stop shoving your fingers in my mouth! What gives?
>>
>>3057391
Percy:AS YOU CAN SEE, THEIR CANINES DON’T MATCH THAT DESCRIPTION, THAT COULD BE EXPLAINED BY HEY ANCESTRY, THE SHAPE OF HER SNOUT AND HER CANINES WOULD SUGGEST SOME HEAVY SYLVEON ANCESTRY, BUT IF WE ANALYZE HER LITTLE WHITE PAWS WE CAN FIND A STRIKING RESEMBLANCE TO A FENNEKIN BONE STRUCTURE, I’VE MADE A CHART TO EXPLAIN THE BREEDING THAT TOOK PLACE, TAKING IN ACCOUNT FACTORS AS….

The announcers tells you to hurry it up, and he’s right, you need to wrap this up, just says she’s playful, cute and a bit of a troublemaker and drop it already.

Percy: SHE’S A CUTE!...A CUTE! AND AMAZING!

The crowd doesn’t seem particularly amazed.

Percy:AMAZE THEM VULPIX!

[Vulpix]Got it!

Her eyes glow for a moment as her psychic powers lift the judge’s table from the floor, before crushing it with blinding colorful lights using her “Extrasensory”

[Vulpix]: Ta-dah!

Parts of the desk start to fly around the tent, hitting some audience members, and your shin. You kneel to knead your hurt leg dropping Poké-Kibble from your pockets on the ground. Some of the contestants mons and Vulpix get near you to eat some of it.

Vulpix seems pretty proud of that little demonstration, the judges call a little break to replace their broken desk.

At least Eli seems to be having fun with your antics

You can see Kali smirking smugly at you. You want to wipe that look from her face.

Coming up next is the Performance, you got absolutely nothing ready!

>Just quit, don’t embarrass yourself and your mon further.

>Let Vulpix use her latent psychic powers to manipulate objects around her, while putting show with it’s strange light! (This move is easier for Vulpix, but has left a bad impression on the judges after destroying their desk!)

>Put on a light show with multiple confuse rays! Try to make them as harmless as possible! (Medium hard difficulty, may have troublesome side effects if it fails)
>Use baby-doll eyes to captivate the hearths of the audience! (Medium DC, may not leave a big impression in the audience unless you get a high roll, has a bonus for her natural cuteness)

You tried to explain Vulpix your idea, using both “Powder Snow” and “Icy Wind” in a small area of the platform, you got no time to rehearse but she seems motivated. “Leave it to me!” she says. You got no time to worry, you better not hold back if you want to have a real chance in this amateur contest hosted in a small town!

The small pause has ended, the judges got a new desk. All of the other contestants are giving their introductions. The ones that causes a bigger impression where Charles and his Bibarel flexin and posing in a dramatic masculine manner, Jeanne and her Mareep who’s fluffiness may rival Vulpix cuteness and finally Kali who’s using her approachable, likable persona to introduce her Prinplup who’s dressed up for the part with a small bow and top hat she bought herself.

We are moving onto performance’s and your turn Is up! Vulpix steps up, saying that she’s not gonna let the audience down! Blowing a current of cold wind from her mouth, with small ice crystals glistening thanks to the lights, she tries to control it so it would move in a perpetual circular motion. She follows up by shooting small burst of “Powder Snow” into the chilly air current, she tries to make the small balls of snow bigger than usual, as they dance in the air.

The public and judges seem mesmerized, ready to end up her little performance, Vulpix jumps into the air and uses “Icy Wind” to collide with her original attack. The clashing currents of air spread the Powder Snow alongside all of the tent, the glistening pieces of ice and snow fall softly. The cold isn’t too intense, it’s a nice refreshment on this hot summer night.

The public applauds your demonstration, Vulpix seems elated, proud of herself

>Vulpix seems to have a good control of her “Moves” as long as she doesn’t use much power on them!
>Vulpix caused quite a good impression with that demonstration! The judges and the public are mesmerized!

The judges have their verdict. Vulpix gets two 8s and a 7 for her appearance!
And 10 from all the judges thanks to that incredible demonstration!

A smashing total of 53 points out of total of 60!

Sadly she’s going to have some points deducted because of her trashing the judge’s table on your command. Leaving her with 48. Doesn’t matter. 48 is still a solid number.

The other three contestants that may be a problem are!
Jeanne and Mareep with 25 points on the looks category! (She takes good care of her wool)
Charles Donner who’s manly Bibarel has gotten some good reviews from two of the judges! 20 points.
And Kali who’s obviously been preparing for this contest. 23 points.

But how will they do in their performance?

Rolling for these chumps!
1st Roll: Mareep and Jeanne had a little simple routine with her rolling around and playing dead! (+3 to her roll)
2nd roll: Bibarel is bench pressing his trainer! (+5 to his roll)
3rd roll: Kali had a number planned ahead, using “Bubble” to set the mood and "Feather Dance" to pop them (+10 to her roll)
>>
After Vulpix presentation, everything else felt a bit lackluster for the public and the audience.

Even after that terrible introduction, you managed to score the first place! Just be thankful that this Pokémon contest didn't take in account their trainers behaviour!

1st Place: Percival Williams: 48 points
2nd Place: Kali Orizaba: 41 points
3rd place: Jeanne McAllister: 38 points

"The winner of our little anual, Pokémon contest is Percival Williams and his cute little Vulpix! Give'em an applause everybody!"

Vulpix really stole the show with that last bit, people even glossed over the fact you were shaking down strangers and talking about the imminent apocalypse a couple of hours ago and how you apparently kidnapped one of the other contestants just the other day.

>Won $2,500 and a discount ticket for "Pokémon Apparel" a store that carries all kind of accessories for Pokémon, even move enhancing ones!

They gave a little unofficial Ribbon to Vulpix, she shows it off as she jumps around the platform excitedly, you think you've never seen her so happy before.

As you get off the stage, the rest of your team approaches to congratulate Vulpix.

[Mimikyu]: You surpassed our expectations Vulpix. Congratulations.

[Mimikyu]: And, Master, you need to work on your public speaking.

[Loudred]: You go sis! I knew you had it in you!

Prince doesn’t says nothing he just nods enthusiastically after Loudred.

[Kadabra]: I still can’t grasp the purpose of this events, but your performance was most impressive.

[Houndour]: It was alright, I guess.

[Vulpix]: Why are all of you so surprised? It was OBVIOUS I would win. I’m the cutest afterall.

>Vulpix is feeling really proud of herself, you felt as if you got a little closer to your teammate.

Behind her smile and applause, you can feel Kali glare at you from time to time. It’s feel oddly satisfying to beat her.

[Arsonist]: ALRIGHT YOU FUCKS, I'M CRASHING THIS CONTEST WITH NO SURVIVORS. GET READY FOR A BREATHTAKING DEMONSTRATION OF GRACE AND BEAUTY!

Suddenly the Arsonist enters the tent. He's wearing a dress and demands to be a part of the contest. He seems to stop after noticing that it already ended. He demands the winner of it to come fight him in a duel for the Prize money. After realizing it was you he decides to just go. "Congratulations Bestie!"

>The arsonist is around.

The fair is still going on, and you are feeling pretty proud of yourself...

Suddenly, you can hear a voice in your head. Victoria saw something that caught her attention a while ago, and wants to take hold of your body for a couple of hours. She promises to not hurt anyone.

(You'll have no recollection of what she does during this time)

>Let her take control of you for a couple of hours?
>Don't. Maybe she can take control of you while you are asleep? You want to do some stuff first
>>
>>3058021
So...we win, I think? Kali was the closest to our score with a 41 if I’m calculating all this right, but that still puts us solidly at the front of the pack.
>>

If you decide to keep your body for yourself
>Go with Gareth and Lydia, you want to know what the hell was up with those Raticates
>Rub your victory on Kali's face
>Wander around the fair with your team, meditate on your loss
>Maybe Eli wants to hang around? Go to the fair together.
>Make sure the Arsonist doesn't cause more trouble
>Other/ write-in
>>
>>3058123
>Ask her what’s she going to do with it.

We’ve not got anything particularly urgent to get on (Though we’ll need to really get down to business with our training later), so we can probably let her take over for a bit, but let’s at least find out what she’s planning to do first.
>>
>>3058123
>Let her take control of you for a couple of hours
We can also ask what caught her eye, if she's willing to tell us.

You did promise to let her use your body from time to time, and she seems to be okay with telling you with anticipation, even though she could just snatch away your will at any given moment. Stilll you would like to know what has caught her attention.

[Victoria]: I’ve never been to a place like this, a fair. I want to take a stroll around…

That seems perfectly fine! You’ll just let your team now of what’s happening and then, maybe you can lend her some money if she wants to buy a treat or play in the stalls….

[Victoria]: Also, I’m sure I sensed a Poochyena’s corpse on the forest. Death from poisoning, probably tried to eat Weedle. I want to open him up and see the effects of the toxins on his internal organs. Their decay. I wish to compare it with a healthy specimen but I did promise to not hurt anyone else.

Oh, man that's a bit. You should think it through for a moment. You let your team now about your deal with Victoria and that she's going to borrow your body for a bit. Mimikyu says to wait a moment before you do so, he needs to go vent his frustrations caused by your decisions. He goes to a near tre to bash his head against it.

....

He returns shortly after, your teammates divide in two groups, Houndour, Mimikyu and Kadabra will watch over Victoria with your body while Loudred, Vulpix and Prince will go play somewhere else.

And regarding Victoria.

>Let her do what she wants.
>Try to convince her of staying in the fair, no corpse-shenanigans (requires roll, may affect Victoria's trust on you)

It's a bit sketchy but, uh, it's not hurting anyone at least, which is a step up from trying to dissect a live Larvitar.

It makes you really uncomfortable, but you know that it’s better than her actually killing things. And she’s willing to stay true to the “Not hurt anything else” promise, so that’s some progress!

As Victorias thoughts start to override yours, your consciousness is kicked back to some forgotten corner of your head. The world around you turns to black, the noises from the fair turn into complete silence. The smell of the snacks that are being sold, the clear taste of the air. Everything is gone. Your senses are no longer your own.

You don’t have a body anymore, you can’t move. You are only confined in this lonely place in the bottom of your mind, with nothing else but distorted visions of your memories.

You aren’t sure how long you are there, it feels like seconds. And in a sudden instant your body is yours once again.

[Victoria]: Thanks Percival….

You are in the forest once again, it’s the middle of the night. A unpleasant putrid smell envelopes you. The only source of light is your trusty flashlight on the ground. You take it to get a better look at the scene in front of you. Deteriorated viscera are laid on the floor, traces of dried blood stain the dirt and grass. The Poochyena’s necrotic tissue sports different dark spots in all of it’s extension. The corpse should’ve been here for a while now.

It’s skin was removed and hanged on a tree. You look at yourself, your free hand is covered in all manners of noxious substances.

At least Victoria took precaution to not let your wounds get infected, she covered the cut from Vulpix’s bite with a band aid.

The cadaver is completely disassembled, not quite cleanly, as she only could use her psychic powers and your free hand.

You’ve seen Pokémon die before, in fiction, in nature, in nature-documentaries. But you’ve never been as close to death as this. The mixture of smells, putrid meat, the poison, the residual matter in it’s digestive tract. It’s enough to make you retch.

While you are busy spilling your guts in grass you hear a human voice.

[Arsonist]: Man that was quite the show!

[Arsonist]: Not even I would do that kind of shit, you are SICK dude, pal!

[Arsonist]: It was fun to play “Nurse”. Dr Bipolar disorder, but you should really consider getting a dissection kit or sumthin first.

[Arsonist]: Oh man, I want some psychic powers too! Welp, see you later my man! I gotta split.

The strange youth, still wearing a dress, calls out his Aerodactyl and flies away. Kadabra, Houndour and Mimikyu approach you, sporting mixed looks of worry and disgust.

You smell like death.

>Victoria trusts you a little more!

>Session End!
>>
>>3058783

Next session will be on two weeks from now on, Friday the 30th, I need to take a break to get ready for finals. After that I’ll run a bit more often than usual.
Sorry for the slow updates, I’m trying to get everything in order.

Next session we’ll open up with some of the translations and finally begin our training.

Two last choices for the night.
Where will be Percy staying tonight?

>Camp at the woods, once again.
>Pokémon center. With good old Gareth
>Rent a room. ($2,500) you need a shower.
> Your Grandparents?
>Other/ write-in

And, does anyone want a write-in outside of Percival perspective?

>A young couple take a little kid to the fair / “I hate my boss”
>Brothers/ “You are still the same pathetic little shit”
>Meddlesome girl, Insignificant memories / “Today I’ll make Percy talk!”
>Triad of caretakers/ “I can’t hold these damn cards with my paws!”
>Fun at the fair! / “Hey Ma, I MEAN, Hey Eli”
>>

Lots of scented soaps. As long as we smell literally like death, we can't be around the others.

I wonder if all this possessing will start charging Percy's body into Vicky's. Freakin' ghosts.

Kind of sad, maybe this is how Vicky perceives the world. :(
