You are Akari Suzumebachi, a Japanese teenage girl who was born human. After drinking an experimental superfertility serum you gained the power to manipulate plants, but ayou are still far from mastering it. Wanting to learn more about your new powers and driven by a sense of justice you moved to the United States in the hope of learning more.

The superpowers also came with a drastic change in your outer appearance. You are short and lithe, athletic but not overly fit. Your skin has a green tint with several glowing stripes around it, your hair is a mess of leaves, flowers and fibres and your ears have become pointy. Your once nearly black eyes have turned completely amber and glassy, yet still your sight is unaffected. You still bleed red and require sustenance, but your internal chemistry has changed to the point of making you unable to assimilate meat of any kind. Being under direct sunlight also gives you a minor health regeneration boost and keeps you sated for longer, but you cannot still survive solely on sunlight.

Your newly found powers allow you to control plants with mental orders and grow them near instantaneously and even to sizes that would be normally possible. Still, your powers have limitations, you cannot give your plants complex tasks as they aren't truly sentient and controlling them is physically straining, making you need to rest between actions or risk losing consciousness.

Not long after moving to New York a menace came from the sky. A strange dimensional tear formed and from it came a rain of invaders who quickly prompted to attack anyone who wasn't one of them. All of Earth's main cities were attacked, most managed to fend back the invaders but some failed doing so. SHIELD, desperate took all the help that it could gather and sent heroes all across the world, including you.

Along with several heroes and Vin, Vision's son, you have been transported to Luanda, the capital city of Angola. Here, the local militia is still fighting against the invaders, but the prospect is grimm.

Since your combat skills are still limited you decided to connect with the local plant life and overcharge their breathing cycle to scrub the skies of smoke and aid the helicopters and flying heroes into better travelling the skies.

Fire, explosions, gore and death. One second you were inside the safety of the Quinjet, then in a foreign hell were barely nobody spoke your language.

Civilian, Invader and Hero bodies were scattered everywhere you could see. The Invader's whose faces were exposed looked human, while others had strange features onto them, glowing eyes, viridian skins, fangs.

Darkness reigned. The sky was a black amorphous blob, it was already night and the damage that the local power grid sustained had shut off all the city's lights, on top of that not even the distant stars could aid, it all completely covered in a dark grey smog coming from the various fires that flooded the city.

Searching for a way to commune with the local plant life you ran towards a public park and hid between the bushes, letting its branches embrace and protect you in a soft hug as you closed your eyes.

It wasn't sight, it was more like a feeling, it was hard to feel, when you communed with plants you could instantly knew what they wanted or felt and you could give them orders, all nonverbally. You simply thought of one thing. "Breathe."

Quickly your orders travelled from the bush you were in in all directions and these ricocheted from one plant to another, each carrying your message further and further. For one second you felt connected not only with the entire park but also with almost all the plants of the entire city and even further beyond.

Feeling overwhelmed from this your body suddenly weakened, you became limp, and all went dark.

As if it were a giant lung all the plants started hyperoxygenating the city, scrubbing all the smoke in such a fast manner that it created several intense wind currents, extinguishing a lot of the local fires. Suddenly, all the heroes capable of flight became able to travel with ease, and so did the many emergency helicopters that needed to transport wounded people with urgency.

You, in a sense, were already a hero, but it seemed like nobody would ever know it. Not even you.

>We are unconscious, let's roll 1d100 to see how we end, perhaps someone malicious will find us or perhaps some hero will do it instead!

To you, it felt like an instant, but to the others, it was a never ending hell. You barely even noticed when you felt your consciousness. One moment all was darkness, the next one it was all light.

Cramped and slightly dehydrated you went out of the bush you were hiding in and noticed that it was now daytime. The combat, was over.

There were no hostile forces around and most of the noises came from rescue crews and firefighter trucks or ambulances.

"Storm is african right? Perhaps she had a cousin with a similar mutation?" says a hero that you don't recognise.

"Perhaps we simply, were lucky." Answered what looked like a local military colonel.

"That was no luck, the skies were blackened, the so needed air support couldn't act. Then they were cleared. These alien soldiers were strong, but they came on foot and didn't carry transports or vehicles, the air support was of great help to finish them down."

"Look, hero." Said the man kind of annoyed. "Why don't you help with the rescue efforts? We might have won this battle but the war is far from over. We need to rebuild as soon as possible, otherwise the next time time they appear in Angolan soil we will be completely obliterated. Here, take this." He roughly said as he gave him a necklace made with what looked like a Lion fang. "Have this to remember us, thank you for your services, but right now we both are needed somewhere else." And with this said he turned around and walked away, seemingly relieved of losing that annoying hero from his side.

The military man then noticed you and walked towards your direction.

"Lady, no lazying around, every capable men and woman must work, that includes heroes, specially heroes! What are you on?"

"I...uhhh, what?" You said to him, now that he was closer you could better see his features, he was tall, strong, and had a very dark skin that contrasted starkly with his ivory white curly hair.

"We have divided people in several groups. Hunters that will seek out any enemy survivors, Medical crew that will aid the wounded ones, Rescue corps who will search for disappeared and stranded people and the Investigation group, a group of eggheads that have reunited and are studying the alien tech and corpses to better understand them. So, what group do you belong to?"

"I'm with the rescue team. I mean, I want to be with them."

"Great, I was born and raised in this city and watching it turned it into a husk of its former glory breaks my soul. I won't be able to sleep properly until it has been completely repaired. You might never have been able to see how beautiful this city was before, but you will help making it beautiful again."

He smiled at you, it was a clear and sincere smile, it was obvious that to him, seeing his city so damaged was as hurtful as the loss of a loved one.

"Let me drive you towards the Rescuer's HQ. You seem to be kind of tired. I have some peanuts and coffee on the glove compartment."

He grabbed a small PDA that was attached to his leg and pushed some numbers, soon enough a small humvee came along being driven by a young and eager angolan soldier."

The drive back to the downtown of the city was slow. The vehicle couldn't drive fast since the ground was still weakened and there was risk of buildings falling down. Ultimately you all reached a container made building in what once was an ample square used for market days.

The area was crowded with different teams; soldiers, firefighters, paramedics, policemen and heroes were together combing the different neighbourhoods of the city and looking at which ones were the most affected ones. Vin was here too. He looked terrible.

Part of his face was simply missing and so did several fingers and different parts of his synthetic skin, revealing his cybertronic interior. Yet somehow he seemed to be doing good, he had been patched with several different technologies and apparently several engineers, technician and technologically inclined heroes helped him survive in a excruciatingly long and painful operation. You felt kind of bad, you simply slept while he suffered.

Despite his many wounds he opened his eyes when he saw you and limping ran towards you with his arms opened.

"You survived! I was so worried about you!" He says, his voice sounding heavily more mechanical.

You didn't knew much of machinery or electronics in general, much less of advanced AI with positronic brains and quantum braincells or whatever Vin and his family could have inside of them. Despite being a machine he was alive as far as you could tell, and if he was here and not in the hospital it meant that he wasn't as bad as he looked.

"Thanks Vin, I was also worried about you, it's alright now. Tell me, what can be done around here, I'm itching to help people."

"Oh! Well right now since I cannot move much I help from time to time connecting my brain to the local military computer system and I aid them by controlling drones remotely or quickly scanning cell and radio signals to find people who might be trapped. I cannot do it for long or I risk getting my brain fried...and there's no coming back from that."

As he said this last thing he glitched for a second, it was the first time you saw a robot glitch, and it was terrible, it was as if every fiber of its being was unsure of what to do and simply moved in random directions. A couple of sparks flew from one of his wounds and he seemed to return to normality, if only with the smell of fried circuits coming from his insides.

"I been in the system in the last 3 hours but I think I could go again and guide you with a communicator." He said smiling, as he awaited for your answer.

>"Alright, get on the machine and tell me where to go, every second counts when it comes to trapped people."

>"Alright, get on the machine and tell me where to go, every second counts when it comes to trapped people."

"Uh well, sure, the technicians told me to wait more, but you are right, time is not on our side now."

He walked and guided you towards several corridors, some of them littered with exhausted people sleeping on the floor, heroes on their own that had been working for god knows who long. At the end, you two reached a big area surrounded by computers of several dimensions and constantly blinking lights, Several people were working in there, checking at different monitors and looking at streams of data that cascaded way too fast.

The area also had several drones lying on a table, some of them damaged by projectiles, one for some reason was completely drenched in blood.

Without ever asking he got closer to one of the servers and started fiddling with the connectors, immediately several technicians walked to him.

"Vin, can you please lend two of your threads to our seismographic terminal? We might detect buildings falling down and focus in these sensible areas."

"Vin, please, we need four of your threads for our atmospheric satellites, all of the city's food has been lost and with better weather controlling we could improve the crops and avoid a famine or needing even more international aid!"

"Vin, we need three of your threads to better coordinate the different teams, the GPS is failing and cannot track all of them synchronously."

He simply looked at them and then his face twisted into the expression of pure sadness.

"I'm so sorry, I truly am. But I am a mess right now, I can only lead one thread, only one portion of my mind. More, could be lethal."

The rest of the scientists and engineers went away, they were saddened, but knew that the kid was indeed on the verge of total destruction, it was good that they had rejected them, otherwise Vin's death would be on their consciences all their lives.
>>
>>3051135
He simply sat, looking defeated and plugged the connector into the nape of his cranium. A soft sharp gasp came and it was lights out for him, at least momentarily as soon the blood coated drone started flying, directing itself towards you.

"Sorry for choosing this one, but it was the one with the most battery inside." Was heard from somewhere from inside the drone. Even if the voice wasn't Vin's it was pretty clear that he was now somehow sleeping and controlling the drone at the same time.

"Well, from what I can see from my side, there are three hotspots with possible trapped people. A hospital that was bombed by the Invaders, people in here might require medicines or treatments so this is very important. The Port that has suffered big damages as some ships fell down and crashed into the pier, there can be a lot of trapped people under the containers. The last option are the sewers, it is believed some of the invaders are there, we are hopping of getting as many as possible, doesn't matters if dead or alive, the research group needs as many as possible, so this is important too."

>Go to the hospital

Vin agreed with you and using some invisible and inaudible mental orders requested for a driver and a transport to take you two towards the hospital.

The journey there was short and uneventful, you drove in the co-pilots seat with Vin's drone placed on your lap, in a sense it felt as if it were a pet, you even felt the need to pat it a couple of times but ultimately decided not to, you doubted he could feel it and even then, it was disrespectful, he was a living sentient being regardless of its actual form.

The Hospital was a sight to behold. It was a pretty average building, blocky and filled with small windows but what was truly breathtaking was the massive hole that crossed it from side to side. It was impressive how it still didn't fell under its own weight.

"I'm receiving a strange signal coming from the Hospital's lower floors, I think these floors are used to store materials or used like kitchens. There shouldn't be many people in there but still we should be careful, something about this signal is off putting."

You two got out of the vehicle and entered inside, it seemed that most of the place had been evacuated but there were still several emergency generators running and people still on beds, perhaps because they were too delicate to move and required special attention. Vin's drone floated softly behind you, illuminating your way with a built in flashlight.

The place's elevator was busted so you had to descend across a haphazardly and creepy stairwell that became increasingly darker the more and more you descended.

"The signal is at the end of that corridor."

As soon as you reached the end of the corridor you heard some soft breaths coming from a behind a locked door.

Just as you put the hand on the handle the door suddenly exploded outwards, coming out of its hinges. On the other side stood a damaged invader soldier.

You were flung far away, landing on the cold floor and being dragged a couple of feet, but otherwise undamaged.

The invading soldier was very human looking, but still muscular and dangerous. It was young, around your age and had sustained damage during the battle, that's why he was now down there looking for medicines and attempting to contact and ask for help using his nearly broken communicator.

"Meta scum! Your tainted genes will be purified from this world. Only humanity will prevail. Killing you will allow me to ascend in the glorious echelons of the Triumvirate. Soon I will be closer to perfection!"

His rifle was busted but he still had a combat knife. He wore a fitting soldier's armor, a black catsuit covered with several pieces of broken and shattered hardened plastic and ceramic. He limped heavily and seemed slightly out of breath but still he was going to be a dangerous opponent.

>Run away.

"Vin, blind him!"

The drone obeyed instantly and turned his flashlight up to eleven. He attempted to use his hands to cover from the blindness but was too late. With a loud groan he fell down onto the floor, being weaker that it looked like, still he stood up quickly, apparently recovering from the damage and the blindness quicker than an average person would do.

You didn't gave him time to completely recompose himself and planted a karate chop directly between his neck and his left shoulder, sending him straight onto the floor.

"Good work!" Vin said.

"I...will evolve, and become a muscle wizard."

You didn't knew or wanted to know what the hell a muscle wizard could be, so you simply kicked the man repeatedly, several times until he finally went lights out.

By the time you finished you noticed yourself tired, legs trembling and scared to no end. You were weaker than you thought, without Vin's aid you might have been mercilessly killed. Watching the man unconscious, made your skin crawl and your stomach revolt. You couldn't avoid end puking your last meal next to him.

You didn't knew what time it was but you calculated that more or less it had been more than 20 hours since your last meal.

You are tired, you are human, but still, you want to be a hero, you have to be better. These guys try to improve themselves by killing those who are nonhuman and by changing their DNA, that doesn't makes someone superior; being honourable and heroic does!

"Vin, illuminate behind me and try to be steady."

Using your attacker's blade you manage to break some of the wall, not much, but still enough to reveal the soil on the other side, you are underground after all. Putting your arm all the way onto the soil you commune with the plants around you and simply think this.

"Trap, Pain."

At first nothing happens, you take your fist out of the soggy soil thinking that perhaps you were too weak but then it happens. As if it were an emerald mass of tentacles several vines come out of the hole, desperately seeking the area around to fulfil their order. These plants were not sentient creatures, they were a force of nature, not good or bad, they simply did what was asked to them, and so they grabbed whatever was at reach; Vin's drone and the unconscious enemy.

You backed away in time and witnessed how the vines entangled themselves around them and then started protruding several thorns. To the unconscious one it meant that escaping would be painful, for the drone...death.

"Yamete!!!" You cannot avoid screaming in your native japanese as the vines oppress more and more. The brave little drone attempted to fly away, to no effort and the spikes made the recovery impossible. With a painful snap the pressure of the vines along with the spikes killed the drone, hopefully not giving Vin any electric or psychic whiplash.

Well, too late to mourn now. Your stomach rumbled hard, you needed food pronto. Due to your mutation you couldn't eat anything remotely fleshy, including eggs, hopefully there would be some fruits or veggies around.

Luckily for you it didn't took you long until you found some fresh fruit. It seemed that after so much crap life was starting to be good with you again.

You only walked for a couple of feet and then you found a kitchen with several Mangoes, Bananas and other fruits in relatively good condition, some where covered in blood or dust but the ones that were clean were perfectly edible. After the first bite you noticed that you were so hungry that you even started eating the ones who were covered in dust after cleaning them against your green arm.

Sated and happy you returned and saw your captor awake, struggling against his trappings, blood spilling from several of the places he constricted against.

You grab his knife, an ugly, oversized and hypertech looking piece of metal, and use it to cut some of the vines that came from the hole, but none of the ones that trapped him.

"Don't you dare touch that knife, hundreds of years of human engineering had gone into that thing, it is pure human technology, untainted from alien or mutated minds."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever, let's go outside." You say poking him with the tip of his own blade. The guy hesitated at first, but ultimately stood up on his own and walked outside.

"I hope this dimension has death penalty, I wouldn't stand living in a world like this."

Using the knife you cut the different vines and carefully grabbed the busted drone, then headed out. Once outside several heroes were awaiting for you, there was a small police cordon around you and the shocked expressions of several persons.

"You are alive!" Said another drone coming from behind, surely controlled by Vin, who seemed to have survived to its avatar's death unscathed.

You didn't knew any of these people but they all seemed very happy to see you, some of them even clapped.

"We heard you were down there with a hostile enemy and we were planning how to act. We couldn't rush inside because the medicines inside could be damaged, and right now every pill and inch of bandage counts."

Says a heavily cybernetic man, his three neon green robotic lenses that he had for eyes zooming in an out and opening and closing its lens to capture every detail of you.

"Yeah! Vin told us about it! We were planning how to enter and what course of action to take but it seems that you managed to fend yourself!" Said her companion, a very tall very lanky woman covered in a white and gold baroque armor.

"You two are pure humans, a martial artist and a technomancer, you two would make excellent additions to the Triumvirate...it's still not late enough to join the superior side!" The prisoner screamed as he was being transported to a secured police van.

"Whatever freak." Answered Vin from the drone. "Hey, most of the city is stabilised now, most of the damaged buildings have been safely demolished or reinforced and we managed to get food and clean water from the surrounding cities, we can take a rest."

"What's your name, hero?" Said the cybernetic man.

"Aka-" You managed to say before being interrupted by the woman.

"No, not your real name, your other name." She said with a wink.

"O-overgrowth!"

"Fitting name! You will make a great hero, we are Heracor and Mellizune and are recruiting teenagers like you, like us for our superhero team, the Champions! What do you say, are you interested?"

"Thank you, both you and the Champions seem like a great team, but right now I am being tutored by She-Hulk herself, and I would like to be trained before joining a team, I don't want to end being a burden. I was lucky today, that might not happen twice."

The two of them lowered their shoulders, feeling kind of defeated, but understood your motives.

"Hey, if I give you my direction, could you send me her signature? She's one of my muses, the reasons of why I became a hero." Said Mellizune.

She Hulk was one of the most badass and well known heroes, they surely were even slightly jealous of you.

"I will, don't worry about it."

And with that said everybody started scattering, despite being safe, the city still needed a lot of work.

The day was saved, the Earth was not.

Several Quinnjets came to take the Heroes back to their relative countries. You were directed to the one going to Manhattan and seated along with several other heroes, most so exhausted that the instant they sat down and fastened their seatbelts fell asleep. Vin had to stay behind, his family would need to come to personally repair him, and even then there might be several marks on him. You couldn't even say good bye personally, just a quick wave as you were guided away from his drone.

The journey back was long and uneventful, boring even. You wished you could be asleep like the ones who were to your sides, but your body was well fed and rested, you would have to endure all of this.

After landing you were all cramped and tired, now that you landed you were feeling tired and needing a good nap, but sadly for you, rest would have to wait.

You along with everybody else stretched and went out, several agents of shields and close family members were waiting for the many heroes, you were not an exception. She-Hulk awaited for you transformed and wearing what looked like a heavy plastic suit, it was bright orange and covered in chrome metallic parts that shined hard.

"We are going on a mission, I don't have anybody else to take care of you and in no way I am going to let you stay on my house for god knows how long."

She smiled at you, happy to know that you were alive and surely proud of what you did in Africa, but she needed to attend to important objectivess.

"Get on the transport and change yourself." She said as he entered inside one of SHIELDS special transport vans.

As you did you saw a suit like hers, only smaller, and also a helmet along with a manual. "XR-01 SPACESUIT MANUAL"

"What!" You screamed from behind after seeing what it was.

"More portals have opened, apparently these invaders sent only what they call the Whiteshields, their weakest and youngest members, to test if this Earth was worthy or not. Since we managed to fend them off we are now on their sight. More portals have opened, this time delivering machinery and vehicles, some portals have opened in outer space and from these different spaceships have warped out. The Inhumans of the Moon have already been communicated about this and have managed to destroy a couple of the ships, but the Moon wasn't their objective, they are going to deep space, we need to finish them off before this all becomes a gigantic mess and the Kree or the Shi'ar empires believe they are humans from this Earth and not a parallel one. We cannot afford an intergalactic war, not now."

This had been nothing but the appetiser, and the Earth has barely stood still, you were truly questioning if they could defend against all the might of the Triumvirate.

Not long after putting on the suit the vehicle stopped and you were able to get down and saw another hero awaiting with you, it was Deadpool.

"Hey!"

He looked puzzled and then spoke again.

"Why is my text red?" After looking at you for a while he suddenly came with an idea.

"I see, this is no comic, movie or videogame, I'm in a quest...lots of text, lots of waiting, barely any image...and I guess that my text is red because the bastards of the mods wouldn't allow for yellow text uh?"

She hulk rolled her eyes, while you barely understood anything about it.

"We have contacted the Nova Corps and they have lend us several of their ships, they are nimble and small, that's why we are making teams of three."

She was right, next to that star shaped ship there were many others, and in those many other small groups of heroes were getting in, some even started ascending already.

"We are unsure of the exact number of ships that came out of that dimensional tear, so we are simply spreading thin and hoping we can detect the particular radiation that they emit. Hopefully we don't spread too thin, the Earth is already weakened enough..."

"C'mon! This is a /qst/ quest! No bad endings are going to happen! What do you think this place is, anonkun?"

"Shut up Wade, you speak too much nonsense but today you are going overboard."

"Oh c'mon Miss Green Giant. Don't be so salty, it's just that I'm in a new medium and that's always exciting and uh...tingly in my special area~"

"Ugh. Overgrowth, if he ever misconducts, use this." She then gave you a small remote with a big red button.

After barely pressing it down Deadpool's head exploded, luckily for you all he was wearing a iconically retro and scientifically incorrect fish bowl helmet, so no blood ended staining anything. She Hulk simply gave you a small bent paper and grabbed his limp body and tossed him into one of the back seats.

You two sat on the pilot's seats and fastened everything while turning on the spaceship.

"Alright, bow you can read the paper I gave you."

You somewhat confused opened it and saw a simple message.

"People like you are the one who derails the quests and turns them into shit, please stop.... wha-whats all this, who is this directed to??"

"To [/i]THEM[/i].I know that you are readying, stop with the meta or we will cease to exist, xoxo."

After this was said she turned on the engines and looked at you.

"Ignore all of this, sometimes, ignorance is a bliss." She said sweetly, as the ship ascended upwards and breached the skies.

Deadpool didn't took long to recover.

"What am I doing in this carriage, god dammit Todd! I had enough of Skyrim!... Oh wait, that was a dream. We are not going to Skyrim, we are going to Rim the Sky, to RimSky!

"For Christ's sake Wade." Said She-Hulk and then pressed the big red button several times, Wade's head exploding once more. "If you watch him move, push the button." She simply said as they reached the outer atmosphere.

"Impressing isn't it? Welcome to spa-"

"Chili's!!" He said with barely one third of his lower jaw regrowth.

"God DAMMIT DEADPOOL!" She then punched the button until she broke it, which being honest, only took her a single hit. Deadpool's head exploded again, this time it felt like it would at least last a little more.

"I already wanna go home." You whispered kind of traumatised.

Alright, this will be for today, perhaps if I'm free I'll run again tomorrow, that's why I won't archive the quest yet.

From now on the OP pic will also have the hilarious Spiderman picture added to it as a small easter egg I guess? Idk, I just liked the picture.
