Hail Normaundia!

We are the true sons of the Normaundian state, the heirs of the old consuls. We are the Patriotic Front, those who will truly and well defend the pride and strength of the Normaundian peoples. The vile forces of the Republic and the Communists will be crushed underfoot by both our and the Folkists of Hzier's mighty armies. It is the last time that we lose to vile profit-seeking economic interests and to our Anglois enemies, Normaundia shall rise as one strong state led by Consul Alaster!

===Meeting with the Holmerdi Empire===
The meeting slowly grinds down to a halt as a whole week goes by. The Duke is vaunted and constantly requests more and more of Alaster, who can barely hide his irritation at every scandalous claim that this 'duke' makes. Alaster and his people did not know just how much the Holmerdi were stuck in ancient ideals, the Duke and his men seem irate that the fascists had not invited members of the Normaundian nobility, exiled 200 years ago for their incompetence during the rise of the First Consul. The Duke and his people seem willing to return in a while to negotiate again, but right now, it seems neither side is willing concede to each other's claims and requests.

===Siege of Laurvequiere===
The leaders of the Fascist forces commence the attack on Laurvequiere. The first few waves are relatively successful, but the enemy slowly pushes certain advances back, Fascist losses increase and the Republicans are able to hold key points of the city for days. Meanwhile, it seems that one whole division of theirs was able to pierce out of Laurvequeire and proceeded to retreat back to the capital of Diamaund. If not for the assistance of the men of Renais, this battle might've gone much worse. Thankfully, Laurvequiere winds up falling. One enemy division was able to flee, but 8.000 of their men fell while 10.000 of ours did as well, while 10.000 Average Regulars can now be considered Trained Regulars.

Some men speak of a cadre of Republican NCOs leading their men bravely through the fire and flames of battle during their escape.

Meanwhile, reports are heard that the 30.000 men headed to support Laurvequiere joined up with the fleeing division, which decided to join them in order to siege Laurvequiere back, it is thought they will arrive in the following two weeks.

===Siege of Arlodt===
Revolts in Arlodt have been intensifying as weeks passed, the disorganized Republican army is busy trying to keep the citizenry calm. As the two weeks pass, the officers there stationed feel that the enemy would be at a great disadvantage if they were to fight. No reports of reinforcements are heard.

The Communists' grand crusade continues, this time, they attack Ouest-au-Vent and engage in the second largest battle of the civil war. 80.000 Communist Average Regulars fight against 60.000 Republicans. After a deadly battle street to street, 16.000 communists die and 24.000 Republicans perish as well.

70.000 Socialists soldiers are on their way south, the cadre of officers is sure that they're headed for Fidurat. Meanwhile, it seems that they've, somewhat succesfully, established their own brand of a 'syndicalist republic' in Forche.

The Republicans struggle to keep control of ungarrisoned cities, and apart from the troop movement to attack Laurvequiere and defend Ouest-au-Vent, do nothing in these 15 days. Though the report of the 10.000 heros of Laurvequiere is sending waves of morale to the troops everywhere.

The Folkists recruit another 10.000 men for their fledgling army. Their incapacitated economy allows them to do little else.

It depends. I've been thinking of various options: another short quest in an entirely different setting with the same, albeit modified system; an interlude dealing with a very specific issue in post-war Normaundia; and simply going full sequel and have various timeskips as we set up the Fascist State of Normaundia proper and start dealing with the outside world (which will also imply a system modification, as this one isn't quite thought up for such large scale politics).

The first two would be in a much smaller scale than the hundreds of thousands here, probably going into an individual or squad level scale as to promote more player interaction and more fluffed out characters which the players will hopefully enjoy more. The last one would mean accepting the QM curse fully into my life, who knows what will come of that.

nobody is adressing the fact that we got 40k republicans marching towards us.

I say commence ASSAULT on the other besieged city (with riots) as -4 luck due to disgruntled population and artillery shelling should make a victory easy.

THEN amass everything we have on our leftern flank to face the invading republicans - or scare them off.

The Fascist government in the House of Administrators of Nour has decided that it is high time to bring the people of Laurvequiere and Renais into the fold. Various plans have been proposed for its handling. Both cities have an old Republican tradition and were some of the first to join Diamaund in the rise against absolutism two centuries ago, they fear its return now.

Anton Kolfen is leading the siege, worried by the thought of the approaching Republicans in Laurvequiere. The battle of Arlodt should be an easy win, though Kolfen understands that this does not mean that he can rest on his laurels. There is also the possibility of letting part of the divisions abandon the siege and make them head for Laurvequiere to support them.

I goofed on the training of the Average Militias, they're supposed to cost 3 Treasury instead of 2, which makes them not worth it since their Combat Score is 2. I won't raise their cost since they're already being recruited. I'll see how I fix the actual mechanics.

The Folkists envoys were invited to enter the House of Administrators of Nour, where Consul Alaster awaited them patiently. They congratulated us on how well the war was going and wished us continued luck during it. After the good wishes, they sat and discussed the poor situation of their economy. They said that certain organizations seeking to 'ensure Folkist interests' have raised funds for them, but Marto Trolc, wishing to ensure continued friendship with the Patriotic Front, decided to consult with Alaster first.

The better we bind ourselves to the Folkists early on the better things will be long term; we hardly need to brew resentful rivals like the Communists managed to do with the Socialists. If we piss off the Folkists we're seriously fucked. I'd rather have us promise our own investment, though, because if we're the ones fixing their problems rather than them dealing with on their own, then they'll become more dependent on us which is a better relation to have.

the investment makes me think maybe some financial cabal group gains influence over the Hzier Folkists which may turn them against us in the future.
