AND WE ARE BACK!

We play as Percy a Pokémaniac with a knack for communicating with Pokémon.
He's on his way to become a professional trainer and find his calling in life.

Your team so far consists of:
Houndour
Mimikyu
Loudred
Vulpix (Alolan)
“Prince” (Elekid)

Traveling partners:
Kadabra: A teleporting friend.
Eli: A punkish girl who aims to be the next regional Pokémon champion
Gareth: 20 something college dropout who’s starting his Journey a bit too late

Status:
-Left Arm: Still Broken
-Keeping at bay a murderous psychic entity that’s invading our brain.

Last time:
Percival had dinner with a revolutionary and a probably insane person. Handled an hostage situation. Learned a bit about his Poké-communication abilities. Made paces with the murderous psychic entity inhabiting his mind. Helped extraterrestrial Pokémon get home and was warned about a catastrophe that’s going to befall the region. Got trashed by genetically engineered Raticates, won a Pokémon contest and was body puppeted into dissecting a Poochyena cadaver.

After a long bath you managed to wash the scent of rotten organs from your skin, you can only hope the same happens to your clothes after a thorough wash.
It seems Dr. Henry Ford has sent you quite the material to translate, you are dead tired, but you can muster enough energy to interpret the first video.

It’s quite strange, unlike your first translation this one is narrated in first person,

---------------------------------------------------
Journal of The Arcane Sage.
First Entries.

After a long journey I’ve finally returned to my homeland. Its state is a grim reminder of why I left. The arid lands aren’t suited for growing crops, the heath is unbearable during the endless days, and the beasts loom around our village during the night, eating our cattle, and the unlucky tribesmen.

There’s only one reason for us to stay here. The stones. The valuable minerals hidden underneath the sands, inside the caves, all the other tribes seek them, we can trade them for food, for cattle, but as the tribe grows, these exchanges aren’t good enough anymore.

We need to mine more, for longer periods of time. That’s why I left, to search for the Colossi, the gigantic beast who could create servants out of raw materials.

My Journey was met with failure, but I did uncover something astonishing. A certain type of stone, when the right conditions are met, is capable of capturing the spirits of the beasts. When a spirit is chained to a stone, it produces a ludicrous amount of power.
I’ve been working on a vessel for this type of power, “Golett” is how I’ll call it. The source of this power, and the way to manipulate is something I must keep a secret. The other ones, they may not understand.

I’ve heard tales of another tribe, one who has discovered a way to enslave the “Beasts” using a strange contraption. I may need to leave in another journey to find such tribe, but in the meantime, I must work on building more vessels.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s all you can translate for today, you are beat and need to relax. Dr. Henry Ford seems tad disappointed.

Still, having possibly uncover the origin of Goletts in your region is a big thing! You’ll be way too excited if you weren’t so goddam tired.

Let’s relax by:

Deciding to humor Kadabra you lay on the bed while petting Prince. Kadabra is floating near you, mimicking a sitting position with his legs crossed, in his hand there’s a pen and paper, he’s trying to look as closely to a real psychologist as possible.

It’s been a while since you last went to therapy, you don’t particularly miss it, but it wasn’t all that bad. Kadabra ask the rest of your team to remain silent during this little exercise. T

What troubles you Percival? He says via telepathy trying to appear calm and dependable.

Could it be the fact that our lives are but fleeting moments in the grand scheme of things and the only comfort of what happens after we die are the musing of your fragile, death prone species who try desperately to inject a meaning to their existences? Especially when our actions and lives don’t completely fill us? Could I ever understand the actions of humanity or being a means of transport is the only thing I can aspire to?

Percy: Not helping Kadabra.

Percy: …Is everything alright?

[Kadabra]: Yes, sorry, don’t mind my ramblings. Now, what’s on your mind, friend?

>Percy is not okay with somebody using his body to play with rotting flesh!

You start off by telling him that meeting your grandfather again, and seeing that everything is just as you remember, it’s a bit disheartening and brought you down for a while. And today just made your mood worse.

Percy: She didn’t hurt anyone as she promised, so I had no reason to tell her no. But still, I’m not really comfortable prodding around corpses. I prefer living Pokémon.

Kadabra interjects, he advises you to speak about this matter with her, she seems more reasonable than he previously thought and you and her may find an agreement about the whole “controlling our body” bit, even if they are just do’s and don’t’s.

Percy: So, you don’t think this was a bad idea, right Kadabra?

[Kadabra]: I believe that your current agreement with her could be danger to all of us, we don’t know what she’s capable nor we have any reason to trust her. But I do trust you Percival, and your judgement. Still, you better thread carefully around her, it’s best to not incite her anger.

Kadabra and you discuss how to board this with Victoria in the best way possible, you’ll try to convince her to not use your body for dissecting anything.
>Bonus on your next roll with Victoria!

After a bit more of talking, you finally drift off to sleep. Today slept soundly, apparently Victoria’s Psychic abilities tire after being used for long periods of times, as in your possession.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
You wake up to the sound of your alarm, along the rest of your team. Prince is huddled up close to you and wants to sleep a bit further, but there’s no time for that, today you are going to train!
You hurry and get ready to start a new day!
It’s about 8:00 am, Eli sent you a message to let you know she, Kali and Gareth will be training in Bluk berry lake this morning.

>Training with others!
>Percy is not going to play favorites.

You met with your friends and Kali.

Eli seems raring to go and has already started doing some training alongside her team, she’s hyping them, reminiscing of a coach, a really motivated one.
Tremor and Jaws spar against Friday and Avenger with Eli commanding the latter two.

Kali hasn’t been slacking of either, she’s not as boisterous as the other girl, being more serious and harsher with their mons but not to the point of cruelty. Seems like she did take your advice to hearth.

Gareth has been more or less dragged alongside of them, lacking the motivation of the other pair of trainers, he seems to still be struggling with battling. There’s still a notable difference between the strength levels of his team and the others.

And as for your team.

>Mimikyu will be training it’s speed and attack Power!
The number of potential opponents will certainly help the little ghost to improve his evasion!

>Loudred is going to test her limits!
This one is a bit tricky, since Loudred isn’t comfortable using all of her strength when fighting another Pokémon

>Houndour and Vulpix will be learning new moves!
But which ones? This may take some time as there is no Move Tutor to help them. And the only one you know is your paternal grandfather.

>Prince is going to train under Houndour supervision!
He needs to overcome his fear of battling! He may learn some new moves during Houndour’s training!

>Kadabra!
Not really a part of your team, he’s going to oversee everyone else’s training and do his own thing.

Select two moves for Vulpix to learn!
>Blizzard (Harder to master)
>Ice beam
>Aurora Beam (Easier to master)
>Hex
>Other Write-in

And as for Houndour, select other two moves!
>Inferno (Harder to master)
>Fire Fang (Easier to master)
>Nasty Plot (Harder to mater)
>Faint Attack
>Other/ write-in.

Also, after your training, do you want to take this chance to spar with anyone?

>Eli: Her Pokémon seem a bit stronger than you, probably because of their constant training, could prove a challenge.

>Gareth: It could be good to raise Prince's confidence, and will probably do some good to Gareth too.

>Kali: You want to know how strong her team really is

>Nah, no sparring today
>>
>>3078948
>Blizzard (Harder to master)
Can she learn Freeze-Dry? Ice beam if not.
>Inferno (Harder to master)
>Foul Play

Also equip the Macho Brace to anyone, Vulpix is the weakest link but I don't know if it will help her training. Maybe Mimikyu instead.

>Kali: You want to know how strong her team really is

>Vulpix
Blizzard (Hard to Learn) and Aurora Beam (Easier to learn)

>Houndour
Inferno (Harder to master) and Faint Attack.

You ask Gareth if he's up for some sparring, he seems visibly nervous when you suggest so, but seems to relax a bit when you tell him it's mostly to get Prince accustomed to battles.

[Gareth]: Sure thing dude! Leave it to us, we’ll help you out with the little guy.

[Prince]: It’s just gonna be some sparring right pa? We don’t have to hurt each other too much?

Percy: It’s just training Prince, don’t fret about it.

Time to get some training started!

Eli’s willing to help out with MImikyu’s training mostly because there’s a move she wants to try out. Jaws stands in position, open his maw and starts to shoot a rapid, non-stop barrage of “Water Guns” around the arena, Miikyu tires his best to dodge every shot while getting closer to strike.
Eli calls it a “Water-Machine Gun”, each shot is slightly weaker than a normal water gun, but Jaws can shoot multiple time in a rapid succession. The only drawback is that Jaws needs to undergo a “cooldown” period after using it. So, she wants to improve his aim so every shot count. Looks like she’s having found with “custom” moves.

Houndour will practice his “Faint Attack” using Prince as a target, he thinks that the Elekid needs to get accustomed to get hit and hit back. Or at the very least try to keep his eyes open during battle. He’ll try to teach Prince how “Inferno” works, accumulating energy for one heavy attack, maybe he can apply the method to learn something like “Discharge”.
Vulpix will be joining them in this kind of training, partly because she wants to fight with Prince.

And regarding Loudred.

She’s still not feeling comfortable using her full power, she tries to shadow box while putting more force in her strikes but it’s not working as intended, her movements seem heavier but also sloppier.

There's some nearby trees that she could use as targets, but her problem seems to be more of a mental one.

How do you want to board this situation with her?

>Blood Knight: You can't hold back in battle Loudred for being afraid of hurting them, your opponent won't have the same consideration with you. (Reduces her consideration for her opponent's well being altogether, may affect her view on things)

>For Glory: If you want to be a champion, you can't be holding back. You have all that strength for a reason, you should use it when it matters! (She'll stop holding back in important matches, as Gym-Leader battles and Tournaments, may affect her view on things)

>The Shield: You need that strength if you want to protect others if danger ever comes! (She'll stop holding back in battles were Percy and other's well being is in jeopardy, may affect her view on things)

>You don't have to force yourself Loudred, just show me what you are capable of. (Her own pace)

Percy: You are feeling nervous right?

[Loudred]: I just don’t want to hurt anyone. I like battling, I love battling! But the idea of losing myself in the fight and doing something impossible to fix, I don’t like that. And it’s hard. When I’m fighting, I start to feel that nothing else matters, that I was made for that moment.

Percy: Loudred, I don’t want you to stop restraining yourself so you become fiercer or stronger in battles. I want to help you, so you can fight without worries, and to do so. You need to learn what your true strength is!

Percy:Your strength doesn’t have to be something to hurt others, you can use it when it really matters. When you need to help and protect those dear to you. To be able to enjoy battlind and also defend what’s really important with all your power.

Percy: Don’t be scared Loudred, I know you can control this.

[Loudred]: To protect what’s dear tome.

Loudred takes a long look at her teammates, no *Her family* , Houndour, Mimikyu, Vulpix, Kadabra, little Prince, and you. She seems to have a newfound resolve. And in a swift strike she uses *Hammer Arm* in a nearby, sturdy looking oak tree. The attack completely pulverizes it, you can feel the ground quake lightly as different water types start to jump out of the pound from the commotion.

She shakes her arm and gives you a peaceful and bright smile.

>She’s become more protective of her teammates
>She’ll use her full strength on do or die situations.
>Loudred remains a good girl.

After a couple of hours of training you rescue Prince from the particular rough regimen Houndour and Vulpix are putting him through.

[Prince]: Can she stop shooting Ice Shards and strange beams at me? They hurt!

[Vulpix]: Calm down crybaby, we are just training.

[Houndour]: She’ll stop when you hit her back! Come on small Prince! Do it!

[Prince]: O-o-ok, here I go! RAAAAUG! (A battle cry?)

The Elekid once again closes his eyes as he uses a *Quick Attack* to bash himself against Vulpix. The Ice type seems taken a back after being hit, losing her balance.

[Vulpix]: HEY! You are supposed to stay put and take it!

[Houndour]: That’s exactly the opposite of what we are trying to do here!

Prince seems relieved of being free of his pair of training partners, even though he’s still going to spar.

As Eli and Gareth cheer for the bug type, Elekid starts to run towards the Wimpod at an incredible speed, his eyes closes while he shouts and strikes him with all of his weight in a shoulder tackle. The attack is strong enough to send him rolling back to his trainer.

Wimpod scurries off and grabs onto Gareth’s leg before forcing his return to his Pokéball.
>Wimpod’s ability “Wimp Out” switched him out!

Eli: At least he took a hit before returning to his ball.

[Gareth]: Yeah! That’s some progress!

That Quick attack should’ve caused enough damage to make him drop to less than half his health. Replacing Bug-man is his teammate *Sand-Rider* the Trapinch. He steels himself and prepares to battle! He’s going offensive!

The weak looking Trapinch proceeds to have a coughing fit, Prince shily asks if he’s alright but the Trapinch assures him is nothing to worry about, he’s been coughing less lately.

Seems like striking blindly at your opponent isn't the best method for fighting! Still Prince's impressive strength is enough to weather down Sand Rider health! His misplaced high-speed tackle makes the Trapinch fumble about but he's not down yet.

The opponent has prepared a "Sand Tomb" near himself, where your teammate is now standing, Sand-Rider's eyes glimmer as a small tornado of dirt envelopes your mon. A small hole opens on the ground where Prince stands in and entraps his legs.

>Successful pass!

Prince spits the "Toxic" onto the Trapinch's face, making sure the poisnous substance enters his system. But that doesn't stop him from attacking the Elekid, his attacks aren't particularly strong nor numerous but they still cause some damage as the Trapinch's oversized heavy head strike on the ground nearby, creating shockwaves that further damage Prince's legs lowering his overall speed and evasive capabilites!

>Prince's Speed Lowered

>It's super effective!

The sand vortex from the *Sand Tomb* takes his toll on the Elekid, grazing and hurting him.

>2nd turn of Sand Tomb (2 remaining)

Prince can still fight but he's down to less than half his health.

Sand Rider's coughing fit is worsened by the *Toxic*, the ground type takes a serious amount of damage! From both things!

Sand Rider has less than a fourth of his health left!
>>
>>3079856

The toxic + coughing fit combo will probably knock out Sand Rider during the next turn. So Prince should prepare to fight against Bug-man once again.

>What's next?

>>
>>3079896
[Prince]: Egh, using Toxic leaves a bad aftertaste...

[Houndour]: Don’t hold it in your mouth! You need to get your timing right to produce it and spit it!

It's just a matter of time. Prince doesn't even have to do a move before the *Poison¨* and Sand-Riders coughing fit prove to much for the spirited Ground Type. At the same time, the *Sand Tomb* hurts Prince even further, but he still can continue to fight.

>3rd turn of Sand Tomb (1 remaining)

Gareth let´s Bug-man out of his Pokéball once again, the scaredly Wimpod has recomposed and aim to strike with a "Struggle Bug". Since it's probably the only damaging move he knows.

Prince who's still trapped on the Sand Tomb and with it's leg hurt, can't move freely. So he's waiting for Bug-man to come closer so he can strike with a Quick Attack before his opponent attacks!

>Successful pass!

Bug-man seems nervous, he’s only got one chance since any other attack coming from Prince will surely finish him off. His only chance is to evade his *Quick attack* this round while he is still trapped in the Sand Tomb, and strike with his own “Struggle bug”. If Prince breaks free, he’s done for!

The Wimpod is fearful of screwing it up, hesitant to attack, he’s about to let his chance pass.

[Gareth]: C’MON BUG MAN! Don’t be afraid! You’ve worked hard for this! You can do this, I believe in you!

Eli: That’s right little bug dude! Don’t let my coaching go to waste!

With newfound resolve the Wimpod rushes towards the trapped Elekid, Prince seems more concentrated this time, preparing his punch to strike with outmost speed! The Wimpod doesn’t relent, he’s giving it his all! Unfortunately, you know it’s not enough. There’s not enough space for Bugman to evade the *Quick Attack* and even if it were, Prince has a great speed advantage thanks to his priority move.

This is your win.

Prince´s speedy punch extends at a ludicrous speed and…
He misses?
How he could miss? It was right in front of him! He didn’t even close his eyes this time!

The Wimpod seems to have dodged his punch, he scurries under his arm to strike your mon with a *Struggle Bug*. Prince takes the hit, and is damage further by the last remains of the *Sand Tomb*.

Apparently unconscious, your Pokémon lays on the dirt. Bug-man and Gareth are incredulous. They need a moment to process it.

[Gareth]: Bug-man, you did it! You and Sand-Rider did it, you incredible little bug thing! Your first victory! Hahaha Oh man! Let’s go heal Sand Rider and we’ll celebrate little buddy!

The 20 something college drop out runs toward your improvised arena and holds his Pokémon up in the air, the trainer smiles while his Pokémon returns a joyful expression. It’s rare to see someone so excited to win a battle.

You go towards the battling arena with your mon. He’s still buried under some dirt. You hope he doesn’t take this lose too hard. Even though it was two vs one. But that last attack is something you must correct as a trainer….

Prince opens one of his eyes rapidly and closes them once again. He’s trying to say something as quietly as possible. “Play along”.

He’s pretending to be knocked out.

Houndour rushes to the scene to chastise his “knocked out” apprentice.

[Houndour]: How could’ve you missed that hit? He was right in front of you! We are definitely working on your attacks next training session! You’ve heard me!

[Prince]: (Unintelligible Mumbles)

You return him to his Pokéball.

>Battle: Lost?
>Prince gained Battling Experience!

After some time passes, you let him out of his ball and "wake him up". He's actually in a decent condition, not unscathed but could probably have tanked that last attack.

Percy:Why did you do that?

[Prince]: Do what? …. I guess you noticed pa. It was a last-minute decision…

[Prince]: That sparring session was just to get me accustomed to battling right? Winning wasn’t really the goal, there were no bets, no gym badges, nor a do-or-die situation.

[Prince]: I thought, they needed the win more. Just look at them, Gareth seems way more motivated now, and Bug-man is more confident in himself as a result! It was a hard win for them, even though it was the two of them against me.

[Prince]:And it wasn’t a sure win for me either. If Wimpod hadn’t returned to his Pokéball at the start and instead retaliated, things could’ve gone different.

[Prince]: Isn’t it better for everyone this way?

[Prince]: ….I’m sorry. Are you mad?

>Don’t pull that kind of stuff again. Battling is serious business.
>I’m not mad, just disappointed.
>I’m proud of you, it was for the best.

A triad of young Pokémon walk in around a small-town festival, a shy Elekid riding on a Loudred’s head while an Alolan Vulpix follows them close by, the snow white creature sports proudly a simple ribbon signaling her as the winner of an Amateur Pokémon contest, the idea of being the best a something fills her with pride and happiness.

They pass the food stall as the delicious smells of treats and snack make their appetite wake up.

[Loudred]: I’m starving…

[Vulpix]: You are always hungry! But some food couldn’t hurt. I want to celebrate my victory!

[Loudred]: I know, it’s weird right? Maybe my species eats more than others. And we don’t have those papers Percy uses to buy stuff.

[Vulpix]: Why didn’t you ask “Trainer” for some money?

[Prince]: As soon as he let that girl posses him, I just wanted to get out of there. Specially after she started saying that she wanted to see my vocal chords….

[Loudred]: Why do you keep calling him trainer? He’s got a name, Percy!

[Vulpix]: Cause he’s one. Besides, I don’t have a nickname! The only one who gets a special treatment is that big yellow baby on your head. So “Trainer” doesn’t get a name either.

[Prince]: A-actually… I think I have an idea, to get some food.

The two other mon stop their discussion to listen attentively to the youngest member of their group, for his young age he’s surprisingly savvy, even Vulpix who constantly teases and bullies him to try and impose a sense of superiority listens to him from time to time.

[Prince]: Ok, so we get near a stall, and then……

His instructions seemed a tad strange at first but were very effective, acting sad and cutesy to appeal to the humans running the stalls. After some practice runs the trio had mastered their act and promptly went from place to place to get some free samples.

As they were enjoying themselves with different types of treats, they noticed some familiar faces near them. A couple of girls were in line for some kind of mechanical human attraction. A “Roller Coaster” is what the humans called it. A pink haired girl is raising ruckus at the front of the line while a blonde one furiously takes pictures of her Prinplup.

Kali: Alright, smile cheerfully but don’t show off that second place consolation price too much, we are aiming for a “We don’t care that we lost, we just wanted to have fun and won the second place without trying hard at all” vibe.

Kali: Yes, like that. humble and happy. We are not mad about being beaten by some asocial Poké-maniac. NOT MAD AT ALL. Now Growlithe, get in the picture and show some appreciation for your teammate!

Prinplup doesn’t understand her trainer at all, so she just smiles sincerely, she’s just happy about participating and doing her best. Also, she likes when her trainer takes picture of her, makes her feel special. Growlithe doesn’t like being used as a prop one bit. But he’ll put up with it in order to please his Master.

Eli: Whadda you mean that my team can ride?! That’s bullshit!

[Employee]: Sorry ma’am, but the seats on the attraction aren’t fitted for Pokémon of that size or shape, your Croconaw could ride, but the others can’t.

[Tremor]: That’s discrimination! Fuck this place!

Before Eli starts another fight, she notices the group of mons and goes with them, wondering where their trainer went.

Eli: Whassup little dudes? You aren’t with Weirdo?

[Elekid]: Hey Ma! I mean, Hey Eli! Percy is kind of busy right now.

Eli: Dude, don’t speak so loud, people will notice!

Eli: Eh, whatevs, I wanted to hang out with him at the festival, but he isn’t answering my messages…

Kali: I’m sure he’s doing something important, don’t worry about it.

Eli:Yeah, he’s missing out. Alright blondie, why don’t you, me and Jaws ride this thing?

Kali:WAIT, I’m not good with, that kind of stuff.

Eli:C’mon! It’ll be great! Wait… Is that Percy wearing a dress?

Kali: No, that’s the guy who crashed the contest at the end, you didn’t see him?

Eli:I kinda got bored midway through and went to get some snacks. I’m not into those gay little beauty pageants.

[Jaws]: FUCK THAT NOISE, REAL MONS ONLY BATTLE!

[Prince]: I liked the part where all the mons dressed up…

[Jaws]: WHAT DID YA SAY YELLOW FURBALL?

[Prince]: N-NOTHING, PLEASE DON’T EAT ME

Eli: But, they look so similar, like effing, doppelgangers or some shit.

Kali:Of course not! Percy’s hair is a shade of green brighter, and he’s got some nice muscles on his legs. This one’s are like hairy twigs.

Kali: What? We all have seen his legs!

While you may understand why Prince would do something like this, you can’t agree with his methods, there’s no value on a fake battle. You decide to tell Prince so, getting as serious as you can, you adopt a hunched back position and start to vocalize in grunts akin to an Electivire to show just how serious you are.

Percy: I know that you did out of caring, but, just imagine what their reaction would be if they found out you threw that fight.

Percy: It was a nice thing to do, but it's disingenuous and that newfound sense of confidence may not be able to get them through their next fight. As rough as it may be, they gotta earn their victories just like everyone else.

[Prince]: I understand. I’m sorry I just wanted to give them a push on the right direction.

[Prince]: I guess that it's something you gotta earn.

>Prince understands that helping others isn't always the best course of action

Eli approximates you and your teammate and proceeds to bonk him on the head. She seems a tad pissed. Then he proceeds to throw a coupe of potions to Gareth with a little too much force, and tells him to “get his ass ready for round 2”.

Eli: Don’t get cocky college boy! Your opponent was a literal baby, let’s you see deal with a real threat now! Friday get ready to trash their collective butts!

Percy: Actually, they don’t really have “butts” per-se. A Wimpod’s posterior is usually referred as an urosome, and a Trapinch’s…

[Mimikyu]: Master, you are rambling alone again, they are already sparring.

[Victoria]: I was listening.

You proceed to see Eli’s Honedge *Friday*, completely decimate Gareth’s recently healed team. She’s definitely not pulling any punches with him.

Houndour has taken Prince's loss seriously, and seems more determined on his position as a training partner. He seems to have a certain sense of responsibility towards his progress.

Finally training has come to an end, Gareth is going to the Pokémon center to get his team healed up. Seems like he'll put his victory celebration in hold for now, and instead he's going to be helping out the town's Pokémon Professor.

Eli says that she wants to leave between today or tomorrow morning, she feels that her team is ready for the next gym and doesn't' want to waste any time getting to Adage Village. She's doing some more bounties today, apparently, some Pokémon at Silver Passage have been acting strangely violent these past few days.

And Kali says she has to do some shopping and she's leaving today, Eli says that she'll should join your group for a bit but the blonde girl vehemently refuses. She looks at you with a strangely disappointed look. Maybe she wanted to battle as well?

As the group splits you notice a girl hiding behind a tree looking at you, in her hand is a little box wrapped up as a present. Oh right, she's the girl from the hostage situation and the contest! The one with the Fluffy Mareerp

It's 12:00 pm, your long training session has ended and you got the day to yourself. So you should.

>Approach the nervous girl with the Mareep holding a present.

>Let's go to the nearest bus station and get some tickets, you want to leave as soon as possible.

>Join Eli in her bounty hunting

>Check out the other bounties at the C&D posts

>Let's go with Gareth, maybe your Pokécommunication abilities could be useful for whatever the Professor is doing

>You could use some money, call the number Dick's brother gave you. Maybe there's some work for you.

Afterall, your team is stronger now and a bit harder to train. Except for Prince, his GAINS are almost guaranteed since he's the youngest one training with more experienced members.

As you and your team approach the girl shily covering behind an oak tree. The girl realizes she’s been found out and tries to recompose herself. Breathing deeply before hurriedly walking towards you. She seems flustered.

[Jeanne]: Th-Thi-This is for you! As thanks… for helping me in the forest and in the restaurant the other d-d-day…

Her voice starts off way too loud and it quickly dies down as she keeps talking, making the last words she utters barely mumbles. You think that she may have a speech impediment. You take the present of her hands and unwrap it, it’s an assortment of home-made cookies.

[Jeanne]: The ones in in the middle are Bluk berry flavored, I heard you…liked them. And these ones are made with various berries, the-they can heal status conditions.

[Jeanne]: I thought you’d like them…because you are a trainer…

>Obtained various bluk berry cookies!
>Obtained Full-Heal Cookies! (6) cures all status conditions!

You take a bite out of one of the Bluk Berry ones, they are pretty tasty. Oh man, were are your manners? You just started eating without saying anything!

Percy: (With a mouth full of food) Thanks, they are pretty good. (You respond as crumbs fall from your mouth)

Then you crouch to the be on the eye level of Mareep and start to bleat to greet her. Controlling your urges to not touch her fluffy wool. As you could get paralyzed by the static.

Percy: (BAAAH, BAAAH, BAAH) Hello Mareep, I’m Percival, nice to meet you.

[Mareep]: Hello Percival! But, shouldn’t you be greeting my friend here firs?

Oh right, the girl with the cookies, she seems a bit more relaxed after seeing you talk to her mon, a slight smile on her face. Wait, how does he know you like Bluk berry ones?

Percy:Are you stalking me?

You definitely don’t want to get back to your grandparent’s house, besides it’s not your fault he thinks that way, you don’t want to get involved with too much with them. You let the girl know that you are busy and have no time to say farewells. She seems disappointed.

You try your best to remember those years you’ve spent living in Madeleine, as well as the subsequent summers you visited. Most of your memories are about playing with your parent’s Pokémon. Riding Steelix and Torterra,or practicing your Poké-communication. Stealing berries from your grandpa’s trees and leaving them at Rattata’s grave.

And there was this voice who’s always following you around. Not your grandma’s, someone else. A kid who started coming over often at your grandparent’s house, an orphan who’s being take care by the local priest, and something about making friends. By the time she arrived, you had no interest to relation yourself with other humans, preferring being with Pokémon at all times.

Still she followed you around, she made sure you didn’t skip dinner and always nagged you to return home when it was too late. She also tried desperately to get you to speak normally, trying to teach you, and always wanting to try and talk to you. You always thought she mistook you for a fool who couldn’t speak, so you taught her how to read so she’ll leave you alone. But that only made her stick closer to you. What a drag.

It’s hard to remember her. Afterall you’ve never cared for humans until therapy. But in retrospect, she’s probably one of first persons to put up with your strange behavior, when it was arguably at it’s strongest.

Percy: You are the kid with the hat. The one who used to hang out at my grandpa’s house.

As you retell your memories of her, she starts to beam with happiness, she can’t quite contain herself and closes in, going for a hug, but decides against it in the last second.
[Jeanne]:Sorry, I know you don’t like when people touch you,it’s just…

[Jeanne]: You remember! Oh gosh, I was really worried that you’d forgotten. I’ve missed you Percy!

She and her Mareep seem really happy, you are glad for them You tell her that’s great! But you need to make a call. Dialing the number Max gave you, you get in contact with Blackstone enterprises.

Edmund Blackstone (The CEO, and Dick’s father apparently) secretary answers you, they were waiting for your call. After stating your location, they give you a small job offer, they’ve heard about your abilities regarding handling Pokémon and want to see how they hold up. Your job would consist of training some Pokémon as workers for Blackstone’s berry farmers. The pay depends on your success, and you’ll may get more offer if your abilities prove adequate.

>Accept the job offer!
>Let’s spend some time with Jeanne!

You walk with Jeanne towards the location of the Blackstone training facility. The town seems peaceful as usual, humans and mon traverse the tranquil streets during this afternoon. There seems to be a bigger number of the Capture & Defense corps around but they seem to just be patrolling.

She finds Vulpix adorable and wants to pet her, the Ice Type let’s her, welcoming the affection. You do the same with her Mareep and end up with a paralyzed arm, hopefully you’ll shake it off in a couple of minutes.

You use this time to catch up with the girl, you tell her about your life in the city, your Pokéfriends, family, the license exam and your journey. She listens attentively, while she asks for more details. She’s seems more than pleased with just a little conversation.

Percy: I don’t want to sound weirder than I usual am, but, why do you look so happy?

[Jeanne]: Sorry, It’s just that. If you think about it this is our first time talking. Our…previous, ehm, conversation, consisted mostly of you grunting and growling. (She seems to mumble something after all, something about it being cute.)

[Jeanne]: It’s quite strange, you’ve changed in some ways, but you are still the kind boy who love Pokémon. I’m just glad I got to meet you again.

[Jeanne]: S-soOrry! I didn’t mean anything strange by that! Haha!

She tells you a bit about her life in Madeleine town, she’s been saving some money to try and get into college at North Pass, besides working at the Red Tauros she’s been babysitting your little cousin. He reminds her of you in various way.
Her partner and only mon is Mareep, she’s been friends with her since you introduced them together in an attempt to get rid of her. And she got her license from the Professor after helping her out in her lab.

The two of you decide to exchange contact info once your arm starts to respond again. Oh, it seems like you got a new message from…Kali?
Kali: Wow, another GIRL Percival? Color me impressed.
Percy: Piss of Kali, she’s just a
Percy: A friend? I’m still not sure how that works. I’ll let you know later.

>Obtained Jeanne Arclight’s contact info!

She said she already got her license, but she’s still in town. You take the chance to ask her about it.

Percy: You are not going on a Journey?

[Jeanne]: I’m…not sure. I don’t have anyone to travel with. And I’ll have to leave my job, and I try to help in the church whenever I can...

[Jeanne]: But I would like to, visit new places, maybe try some contests. Maybe… even some battling?

>You should consider it, it’s not something you get to do every day!

You tell her that she should consider going on a Journey, even if it's just for the summer, she's got responsibilities but there's no harm on taking a break, right? Maybe she could tag along with your group on the way to Adage Village, they she can take her decision.

"You really mean it? Let me think trough for a while..." She seems pensive, the idea of traveling alongside you appeals to her for some inexplicable reason. She asks to let her know when are you leaving, she'll make her mind before that happens.

>Jeanne is now seriously considering going on a journey, she may tag along for a little bit

You finally arrive at the Blackstone training facility, a big and ample building located near the berry farms owned by the same corporation. It’s seems like the only one here at Madeleine, but this type of buildings is commonplace in North Pass. Afterall Blackstone deals with the arguably most valuable resource there is. Pokémon. Specifically, Pokémon trained as workers and power sources.

They employ to manufacture a variety of products, as well as renting them and selling to most companies in Aztlan, and recently, to companies overseas, thanks to the region dense Pokémon population. Unlike that of regions like Orre.

Besides breeding their own Pokémon for specific jobs, they put out bounties in the C&D posts in all the country when there’s a type of Pokémon in high demand.

It’s commonplace for Blackstone to buy and acquire other small and medium sized companies, expanding their incredible powerful monopoly across the region. And there’s no real reason to NOT sell to them financially speaking, as the companies that join them get Pokémon workers for dirt-cheap prices and a better infrastructure.

The only business conglomerate that could hope to rival Blackstone in the region is White Veil Labs, and they are going to be joining soon so….

You didn’t know that 2 weeks ago, but Dick rambled about it in your way to Madeline and it stuck.

On your way you find good ol Gareth, he was here to deliver some stuff for Professor Maple, he’s been acting as her errand boy. He’d like to stop and talk but he’s got some business pending. “Catch ya later man, thanks for that fight, next time we’ll be stronger I know it!” He’s seems to be doing well.

The inside is pretty ample and made out of sturdy metallic materials, to house most types of Pokémon. One of the workers explains you the specific details of your job. You are entrusted to train a group of Pidgeottos and Swellows as pest control. They’ll locate Caterpies, Weedles, and Wurmples and get them of the field. The tricky part is training them to return them alive, since they could be of use thanks to the silk they produce with *String shot*.

Your job is to train a particular rowdy bunch of irresponsible and at times violent mons, that prefer to eat the Bug-types on sight. They don’t particularly care for you, calling you another “useless human”. Their glares make Jeanne nervous.

How will you approach them?

>Make them respect you! Battle them to show your dominance! (Whos’ getting this Battling experience? Choose 1 or 2 of your mons!) (Needs roll for battling!)

You are not here to battle nor to play along with the mons! You are here because you got a job. And you are going to do it!

You approach the group of delinquent birds and plant yourself firmly.

[Pidgeotto]: Waddya you want shitty human? Can you see we are busy eating some worms?

[Swellow]: Scram human! We got no reason to listen to a kid! We are keeping the pests out of the field, that’s good enough!

[Pidgey]: FUCK YOU! WE DO WHAT WE WANT!

[Jeanne]: G-good luck Percy!

Mimicking their position as you extend your arms and start to flap them around like wings, you are ready to start dialogue with them!

>Your Pokécomunication skills, and ability to talk with them is unparalleled! (Except for maybe Aleida, but that doesn't matter right now!) ( Easier DC.)

Time to roll! d100

50: to get paid for a sub-par job! (3,500) Only a couple of pidgeys and a Swellow actually listened to you. (Lose the attention of Blackstone corp on your person)

65: A decent job, what you would expect from a more experienced trainer or a regular worker here. Most Pokémon in this bunch actually listened to you (7,000)

75: You actually did a pretty good job with your arguments, grabbing the attention of even the most rowdiest and hard-headed flying types. A great job. (10,000)

80+: You are on a fucking roll today, not only you convinced all of the flying types, you motivated them to do a better job! Not only them, but other Pokémon around you became driven by your arguments, considerably augmenting productivity! (15,000)

>Taking the 68

You had a difficult time with the Flying types, more interested in gorging themselves with Bug-Types than actually listening to you. It was long day of work. Your functioning arm is covered in scratches and cuts from the most violent of birds. But, with enough patience, and being aided by the ridiculously strong Loudred, the unnerving Mimikyu and Intimidating Houndour you managed to get them to listen.

Most of the group took your advice at hearth, they are down with the bigger portions of food, and better working conditions for abstaining to eat the Caterpies and Weedles. Disappointingly, some of the more hard-headed ones don’t want to stop their snacking during work.

After some trial runs most of the Flying types were able to catch the bug-types and bring them back alive at the training facility!

>Obtained: 7,000!

A pretty hefty sum for a single day of work. The worker who hands you the money tells you that’s its mostly because you are in here by recommendation from the higher ups. They also ask for your contact info to offer you some more miscellaneous jobs on the future.

Jane feels guilty of making you take care of her while dealing with the flying types and insist on treat your wounds, even though they are just scratches. But before she can take out some band aids from her bag there’s a loud explosion.

*BOOM* The lights go off, as fire and smoke start to fill up the place. Various of the workers, mostly security guards and men in C&D uniforms let their Pokémon out and brandish their weapons…against the other workers! They are taking them hostage!

You, Jeanne and your team are hiding behind the counter, trying to not be seen amidst the confusion.

“NOBODY MOVE, OR WE’LL BE FORCED TO OPEN FIRE” A loud voice fills the place.

“We don’t want to hurt you. We just want to send a message”

A strange figure walks trough the smoke. A man wearing a mask that resembles the skull the Cubone’s wear. He’s weaing a uniform similar to the one Aleida was wearing the other day.

He's dragging an older man in a suit with him, his hostage seems scared.

Other uniformed man comes out running, he's holding a camera, he points towards the masked figure and starts recording,
>>
>>3082940

[Cubone Mask]: Citizens of Aztlan. For the last few years, corporations as BlackStone and WhiteVeil labs have been thinking they can run this country.

[Cubone Mask]: This place, is a perfect example of the corruptions that’s been eating our nation.

[Cubone Mask]: Blackstone forces the local farmers to sell their lands to them, to join into the disgusting Megacorporation. The competing farms and local enterprises that resisted them are now reduced to sorry stalls in the town’s market who can barely make end meets.

[Cubone Mask]: They exploit their workers, and their Pokémon, keeping them contempt with a mediocre salary, those who dare to rise up against them are crushed by their control over the market. And for what? To give a fucking discount to other countries!

[Cubone Mask]: And this man, this sorry excuse for a man! Madeleine town governor. Just let’s them do what their please!

[Cubone Mask]: What kind of country is this?! Where a single corporation make us bend over to please other regions!? This weak, pathetic Aztlan. Is not fit for me nor for you my comrades! We don’t want to hurt any civilians, we are all brothers.

[Cubone Mask]: But we must get rid of this bloodsucking parasite called Blackstone corp!

Before the revolutionary can finish his speech, a window is broken by a blast of rocks.

An Aerodactyl enters flying through the place. A familiar face is riding it.

He let’s two Pokémon out of their ball to engage in battle with the revolutionaries. A Houndoom that blasts *flamethrowers* to everyone near her and an enraged Primeape pummeling everything in sight with a flurry of punches. They take no consideration for the hostages.

The Aerodactyl keeps flying inside the building, blasting the revolutionaries with “Rock Slide”

Everything turns to chaos when the man in the mask orders his men to retaliate and open fire. You feel Kadabra nervously telling you via telepathy that something is Blocking his *Teleportation*. Jaeanne is scarred for her life and keeps praying.

The young man riding the ancient Pokémon commands him to land near you. He shouts for the Primeape to come aid him as well

[The Arsonist]: Hey Bestie! Can I borrow your bitch for a second?

The Primeape takes Jeanne and throws her to the arsonist. Who calmly walks toward the masked man holding the girl at gunpoint.

Jeanne can't stop crying.

[The Arsonist]: HEY! Jeanne babe, I've missed you. It's great to use you as a hostage again. You are a natural.

[Jeanne]: W-why does this keep happening to me?!

[The Arsonist]: Oh, Jeanne dear, don't worry about this. (Whispering) Don't tell the other guy, but this gun isn't loaded (Whisper) Here let me show you.

The unstable young man fires a couple of shot to the ceiling.

[The Arsonist]: You said you didn't want to hurt no civilians, so I'm getting a hostage. So you don't try any sketchy shit! I just wanna battle man!

[Jeanne]: H-help, please...

As the other hostages try to escape from the commotion, the revolutionary leader reaches for one of his own Pokéballs. Many f the uniformed man are now pointing their weapons and mons to the arsonist and Jeanne.

>Loudred is not holding back now.

You tell Houndour to go alongside her, the canine obligues. Growling menacingly at the Revolutionary leader.

The Arsonist shouts to his mons, the pair step up to the arena. Aerodactyl flaps his wings, making a wave of air clear his path of any remains from the explosion. His Primeape can barely contain himself, huffing desperately.

Cubone-Mask let's out his own team. A Machamp wearing a luchador mask and a Spiritomb.

The only light source is the light entering from the windows and the burning debris. You try to take a deep breath to prepare for the battle ahead. The smoke from the explosion fills your lungs. It burns.

Loudred is putting all of her strength in her attacks! Prioritizing landing hits and landing them hard!

>DAMAGE OUTPUT: Augmented. Lower offensive DC

She'll open up by striking at Machamp with her trademark Hammer Arm.

Houndour takes advantage of his superior speed and gets in the evasive. He'll feign attacks and try to get Machamp's attention.

>Evasive actions's DC is lower!

Primeape is aiming to strike at Machamp as well, using *Close Combat* sacrificing his defenses for dealing as much damage as possible!

>Special Approach: *Kamikaze* with a complete disregard of their well being. All Physical Attacks deal a ludicrous amount of damage. But all defenses are lowered and evasive actions are not viable!

Aerodactyl is going for an offensive approach as well, aiming at Machamp with an Aerial Ace! The winged beast launches at him first, ready to strike!

>Offensive approach!

The Machamp, being attacked on all directions, readies himself and focuses on his objective. Houndour. He seems to be waiting to be hit first for some reason....

The Spiritbomb, being ignored this round sets his sights on Aerodactyl, his eyes glow ominously as he starts to release a strange wave of energy.

Houndour moves first, he starts to bait him into attacking, but the Machamp waits. Still he doesn't lose focus of his target. With the Machamp distracted all of the other mons move in for the kill!

Aerodactyl launches himself at an impressive speed for his size and weight, extending his wing and slashing with tenacious ferocity. Ripping the Machamp's skin. It's a super effective CRIT with STAB!

[The Arsonist]: EAT SHIT FUCKO.

The Machamp roars in pain, losing concentration for a second and getting ready to retaliate instantly, but his trainer advises before it.

[Cubone-Mask]: Don't attack yet, let this be a lesson for them.

The Primeape starts to roar as he unleashes a flurry of attack against Machamps, each punch carries intense anger and an urge for violence. The violent mon has gotten to into it, and he tires before what was planned.

>Primeape's health has been lowered.

Loudred promptly finishes the onslaught of attacks, jumping into the air and putting all of her weight on strength on her arm as she smashes against the skull of his opponent with fierceful and righteous fury. Surprised by the unexpected strength of her attack Machamp can't quite react as the sheer force drives him into the ground.

But he doesn't fall just yet. He stops himself with his arms, and stands up again. Just how much pain can he take?

With an impressive footwork, he gets on Houndour's face, your partner tries to evade but Machamp won't let go of his target. He can't evade hits but at the same time, it's instinctual to him to never miss.

>Machamp's Ability *No Guard* assures he never misses his foe and viceversa

Before your mon can act he hits his jaw with an uppercut, following up with a series of powered up punches on Houndour body, before finally delivering a straight punch who sends him flying through the complex.

>Machamp used "Revenge" the previous hits he received double his attack power! It's super effective!

He hits a wall and lays in the floor, he doesn't move an inch, but you can see he is still breathing.

Machamp looks really hurt, he's definitely on the red, but he manages to keep going to your dismay.

The ignored Spiritomb unleashes "Hypnosis" on the Arsonist's Aerodactyl, without a chance to evade since all of his attention laid on the fighting type opponent. The Rock/Flying type is lulled in a deep sleep.

>Aerodactyl is heavily asleep, He won't wake up except for a strong stimuli!

>Houndour is knocked out.

Loudred roars in an intense anger after seeing her teammate hurt like this.
>Loudred's Protective instinct augment her attack power!

[The Arsonist]: What the FUCK? He's still standing?! I SEE WHY BEATING ONE OF YOU IS A BIG DEAL.

>You can't send another Pokémon as that would be violating the rules laid out by [Cubone-Mask] And you'll be shot.

Primeape engages the Spiritomb in combat to drive his attention from your mon. He's readying an assurance! The Ghost/ Dark type laughs at his futile attempt as he prepares to strike his defense-priven body with a *Psychic*

Loudred readies an Ice Beam to deal some heavy damage to the Machamp, maybe finish him off for good, better be safe than sorry!

[Cubone-Mask]: Be useful before you go down. Deal some damage to the Primeape.

Percy: Hey, can we use ITEMs? On this battle? You never specified!

[Cubone-Mask]: Hehe, thinking like a trainer until the bitter end? I’ll allow it. League Rules. One ITEM per mon.

As you pass the Arsonist an AWAKENING for his Aerodactyl, you ready a REVIVE for Houndour.

[Cubone-Mask]: Change of plans Machamp.

The revolutionary head states coldly as he throws a MAX POTION to his mon.

The battle takes a quick pause, the revolutionary leader gives a signal to permit you going into the middle of fray to use the Items.

[Cubone-Mask]: Kind of a ridiculous notion isn’t it? To let your foe, heal his comrade amidst the middle of a fight.

[Cubone-Mask]: But, you are right. This is a battle, and there’s rules that must be followed. Otherwise. It’s just senseless violence. Carnage.

[Cubone-Mask]:And it’s still a bit too early for that.

Using one of the MAX REVIVES you got from Dick, Houndour finds himself in top condition, he’s surprised. That barrage of punches felt like being by a truck. Numerous trucks, in a rapid succession. He’s going to play it more carefully from now on. Then you hurry to spary the Aerodactyl with an awakening, the beast open his eyes as he lets a fierce roar, he’s trying to compose himself and will be ready to strike next round.

>Houndour evasiveness was augmented!

Primeape starts to hurriedly strike the Spiritomb, without taking account his well being he gets as close as he can to cause as much damage as possible with “Assurance”, his fists enveloped by an obscure almost undetectable energy, he punches his opponent with reckless abandon. It hits but it’s not enough to cause too much damage, getting rid of a fourth of Spiritomb health.
Meanwhile Loudred has been charging her Ice Beam, focused on hitting the Machamp who’s back in top condition again. She would like to charge it for longer, but the Spiritomb retaliates first with a *PSYCHIC* the super effective mental attack not only hurts his body with a barrage of psychokinetic energy, It hurts directly into Primeape simplistic brain. His lowered SP.Defense from his previous attack and his APPROACH, make the attack even more effective.

The Primeape is forced to stop his attack as he scratches his head furiously in a futile attempt to get rid of the pain invading his mind, he screeches desperately, his body is beaten and bruised. He can’t take much more damage.

Without Primeape distracting the ghost/dark type, Loudred proceeds to attack. The cold, icy beam escapes from her mouth. Faster and bigger than before it hits your opponent in a precise strike. You can see it hurt Machamp but it’s not nearly enough to bring him down.

>Aerodactyl: Full health, awake
>Houndour: Full health
>Loudred: Full health.
>Primeape: Critical state, lowered defense and Sp. Defense

>Machamp: ¾ of health left
>Spiritomb: ¾ of health left.

This might work. I'll +1 it, with the addition of suggesting that the Arsonist's Aerodactyl harrass the Machamp while Houndour deals with Spiritomb. You mentally tell your plan to Victoria, she agrees to help, you feel discomfort in her thoughts, whatever’s blocking her abilities is giving her a rough time.

DC: 70

The Arsonist will command his Aerodactyl to deal more damage to Machamp, while his Primeape use his remaining strength to unleash a last flurry of attacks upon the Fighting type.

Primeape DC: 7 (4 if Victoria Succeeds)

(I’ll be rolling for them)

Houndour will be using Toxic on the Spiritomb. While Loudred tries to aim a “Supersonic” at the same target. This is particularly difficult as a sound based move will normally hit the mons surrounding her, including an ally!

Houndour’s DC:6
Loudred’s DC: 5 (Partial pass will confuse Machamp, Spiritomb and Primeape, succesful and Crits will only hit Spiritomb)

Houndour spews a mass of noxious toxins unto Spiritomb’s, it’s a constant stream of gasified poison that mix with the spectral body of his foe, his opponent vitality is eroded by the poison, showing pain in his twisted expression as he unleashes an unnerving aura of obscure matter that quickly envelopes most of the fighting area.

Houndour reflexively manages to dodge it by jumping in the last second, doing a flip and landing perfectly after the energy dissipates

Victoria abandons your mind and tries to take control of Machamp, but with his abilities weakened she barely fails to do so. Regardless of it, Primeape uses his remaining strength to deal another *Close Combat” unto the Machamp, hitting with violent desperation, Aerodactyl joins in with a super effective!

The Machamp strikes at Aerodactyl with an “Ice Punch” just after he takes damage, his punch are strong enough to send the flying/rock type off balance.
>It’s super effective! Aerodactyl suffers some serious damage!

Primeape doesn’t get much time to punch away as the *Dark Pulse* finishes him off, the obscure mass of energy hits Loudred, Aerodactyl and Machamp as well causing a considerable amount of damage. With this second hit, Aerodactyl is done for.

Loudred finishes off this round, since her speed was reduced for her use of *Hammer Arm*. Unleashing a *Supersonic* confusing Spiritomb and making him more open to attacks!

>Spiritomb is badly poisoned, taking damage this round!

You go into the battleground and use the “Revive” onto Primeape, you have to quickly step back to avoid being pummeled by the now conscious Primeape, he’s back at half health and ready to act next round.

The psychic girl tries to work her way in into Machamp’s mind. It’s difficult for her to be acting in this conditions. But she manages to take control!....over two of his four arms. Machamp starts to wrestle with himself for control while trying to tell his trainer about this. [i] “Hey Boss! Something, is messing with my head! ”[/i] You don’t think the revolutionary has the ability to fully understand but he seems to have a gist of what’s going on.

The Machamp doesn’t waste any time an strikes away with a devastating *Cross Chop* using his left arms, striking your mon’s body and driving him into the ground, crushing it.
>Houndour is knocked out!
Machamp starts to get closer to Loudred ready to deliver another blow!
Spiritomb’s move fails, the strange energy wave he relases has no effect, he shrieks in pain from his badly poisoned status.
Loudred is determined to put an end to this fight as soon as possible, putting all of her power into this Ice Beam, she manages to shoot before being struck by Machamp’s attack, the freezing beam is bigger than before, Spiritimb makes an easy target, he can’t weather the hit from his confused status, the blasts envelopes it completely as the poison corrodes his vitality away. Once the blast dissipates, Spiritomb’s ghostly form has returned to the Keystone.

>Double CRITs
>Enough damage

Primeape’s bestial rage let’s loose. This entire battle he’s been battered, damaged, he could barely return the pain he received. It’s time give back, with interests. The beast pummels at Machamp with extreme desperation, his roars of fury don’t carry any meanings besides raw anger. The Machamp wasn’t expecting such force, as Primeape exerts his muscles to the limit.
A uppercut to the jaw, flurry of punches bashing Primeapes skull and abdomen, it’s enough to make him spew blood. Primeape kicks his shins in an attempt to bring it down, the Primeape jumps to Machamp’s back and wraps his arms around his neck, choking him while kicking his ribs. He tries to point it at Loudred.

Your purple friend, the friendly gladiator opens her maw, a gust of cold air is forming around her, you feel the sudden drop in temperature as she gets ready to strike.

Machamp still has fight in him, even after the complete pummeling he received, using the arms in his back to finish up the Primeape with a *Cross Chop*, the violent beast loses consciousness, satisfied with the violence he unleashed.

Loudred takes this chance, closing her mouth and jumping into Machamp’s direction, face to face. She unleashes a point blank gargantuan amount of energy. The beam is bigger than her, bigger than Machamp. Her opponent can’t cover himself, he was too busy trying to get riff of the Primeape.
>It’s a CRIT

It sends a shiver down your spine, the freezing pillar of light illuminates everything for a moment. When it finally dies down, you can see the Machamp, kneeling. Unconscious.
The man in a Cubone Mask let’s a sigh, it’s not frustration, it feels more like. Relief.

This is your Victory.

>Stay silent.
>Recall mons and get Jeanne.
>Let’s get out of here.

There’s no point in trying to dialogue with them. You recall your mons and get ready to depart. The Arsonist is still zealously clinging into the girl, who seems comparatively calmer than before. The gun to her head still makes her nervous though.

One of the revolutionaries gets closer to the man in command to give him a heads up.

[Revolutionary]: Sir! The *Sleep Powder* charges are set up and ready to detonate! You don’t need to stall them anymore, just give us the order and we’ll clear the way out!

[Cubone-Mask]: Change of plans, we aren’t using them anymore. Retreat to base. Release everyone and turn off the *Disruptor*.

The revolutionary leader let’s go off the tied up governor and throws him in the middle of the battlegrounds. The Arsonist tells his Houndoom to retrieve him and bring him closer to him.

[Revolutionary]: But sir!

[Cubone-Mask]: They won, fair and square. And there’s no point in holding him if we didn’t manage to broadcast our message. Even if we force him to return the lands to their rightful owners, right now, we are just violent terrorist without a motive.

[Cubone-Mask]: We want sympathizers.

[Revolutionary]:But our leader said…

[Cubone-Mask]: I don’t give a shit about what he said. Besides, he would agree with me. There’s no glory in this kind of victory.

[Cubone-Mask]: You two seem like promising young trainers, fearless, driven. Such a shame you’re fighting against a just cause….

[The Arsonist]: Hey! Terrorist-wannabe! HEY! HEY! (The youth starts to shout for his attention)

[The Arsonist]: If I pulled that off, will you die?

[Cubone-Mask]: What are you…

[The Arsonist]: YOU’RE A BIG GUY

[Cubone-Mask]: For fucks sake. We are leaving.

[The Arsonist]: C’mon! Don’t be like that!

The revolutionaries let’s everyone go, the machine stops whirring. The leader gives a command and various Claydolls , Xatus and Natus appear to teleport every member of the revolution away. But before he leaves, he gives you a final message.

[Cubone-Mask]: Percival. Take care of her

The revolutionaries disappear without a trace.

The Arsonist retrieves his Primeape as Houndour goes to impart a revive to his fallen Aerodactyl. He throws his loaded gun to you.

[The Arsonist]: Hey compadre, think fast.

You catch it.
>Obtained a…”Gun?” (Percy doesn’t know nothing about guns, beside the fact that they shoot bullets.)

[The Arsonist]: Not as powerful as a mon, but it’s good to catch people by surprise. Consider it a memento of our friendship! Don’t worry, I got another one like that. We’ll match!

You are about to thank the Arsonist for his “gift” before you notice he’s tying up Jeanne as well. And putting her besides the governor in the back of his Aerodactyl.

Percy:What are you doing? Let them go!

[The Arsonist]:Why? I can get some ransom money for the old bastard to kickstart *TEAM…* ehm, name pending. But a criminal team. (Whispering) You can be my right hand man if you want dude (Whispering)

[The Arsonist]: And Jeanne babe is just great at looking helpless, I can let a talent like this to just pass by me! I think she’ll be a great addition to *TEAM ARSON* no, too on the nose. I need to work on that.

[The Arsonist]:Ohh, you want one of these two? Cuz, you know, team work buddy! I’m keeping one of them at least dude, can’t change my mind on that. No señor.

You won’t let this happen. Imitating what you’ve seen only in movies, you lift the gun with your only working arm and take aim at the Arsonist, finger near the trigger, it’s surprisingly heavier than you expected. It’s hard to aim with only one hand.

With a command you get all your team ready to attack if the situations turn grim. You’ve never held a firearm in your life before.

It’s a strange sensation.

Percy:Let them go. Both of them.

Percy:You can’t keep kidnapping people you psycho!

[The Arsonist]: What’s wrong with it? It’s just like catching Pokémon. But illegal.

Percy:I’m not playing around. Release them, no one has to get hurt.

Percy: Just, let them both go, the governor saw everything that happened, and we’ll definitely be rewarded for rescuing him and helping out Blackstone we…

[The Arsonist]: Save it man. They are not gonna reward me shit, I’m getting arrested the moment authorities know who I am.

[The Arsonist]: You may had convinced me, ya know? Just knowing you trust me, but you had to pull the gun out.

As you state your intentions you can see the Arsonist become a tad frustrated, he let’s out a tired groan as his expression shifts to one of sadness and tiredness.

[The Arsonist]: Aww man! I knew you were gonna pull something like this!

[The Arsonist]: Going out of your way to help others, those bugs, the girls at the restaurant. Even me. ME for GOD’S SAKE!

[The Arsonist]: I thought that if I offered you to rescue one of these two, all would be fine and dandy.

[The Arsonist]: But you gotta play hero didn’t ya? Oh man, that’s just another reason to like you even more!

[The Arsonist]: Why you gotta be like this mah nigga?

[The Arsonist]: You can’t save everyone /b]

The Arsonist takes out his other gun, he wasn’t lying they are the same type. He points at you with both hands, he does it with a certain naturality that’s missing from you. He probably has done it multiple times.

The Arsonist releases a Marshtomp from his Pokéball, he looms over your conscious team, as Houndoom seems ready to attack at any moment. Mimikyu is ready to protect you, while both Kadabra and Vulpix readies themselves to strike. Even Prince shyly takes a stance, behind Kadabra but he’s standing with you.

[The Arsonist]: Shit man, don’t make do this…. Fuck, you are holding it all wrong! And the safety’s on. Here let me show you.

The Arsonist tries to explain you the best way to hold it and how to turn the safety off.
>Percy learned the basics of how to shoot a gun, he’s still a complete newcomer at this!

Don’t shoot.

For some reason, you just can’t bring yourself to do it. This situation is not favorable for you, even after he gave you a GUN and taught you how to USE IT, attempting
You put the gun aside and tell your team to back off. The Arsonist, for moment he let’s out a strange expression, you are not sure if it’s one of disappointment or relief.

[The Arsonist]: Oh, come on man, don’t be a fag! You’ll make me look bad in front of the governor and your Waifu-bait when I shoot you!

Percy: Can you do it though? Because I just can't. Not even after all the trouble you've gone through to LET me shoot you.

[The Arsonist]: Hahahaha! Fuck right off best-bud! You are making me teary-eyed.

He’s not even being sarcastic. You think he never is. He’s seems genuinely moved.
The Arsonist reaches for his bag and throws something out of it, a *Water Gem* Marshtomp, moves almost by instinct and in a swift motion he crushes it with his Maw. Then he reaches for Jeanne’s bag to get Mareep’s Pokéball, he returns her mon to it.

[The Arsonist]: MUDDY WATER! QUANTITY OVER POTENCY, PUSH THEM OUTSIDE!

The Swampert let’s out a torrent of brownish water, it smells just like when it rains. It quickly floods the area, and washes you and your team outside of the building. Like Magikarps dragged around by waves. You, Vulpix, Mimikyu, Prince and Kadabra are all completely soaked.

It’s surrounded by authorities not letting anyone trough, various reporters and curious townspeople want to know what’s happening inside. You spy Gareth looking worried. And a familiar voice shouting for you.

Eli: FUCK Y’ALL , LET ME PASS! MY FRIEND IS THERE! HOLD ON TIGHT PERCY I’MMA SAVE YOUR ASS!

She’s trying to wrestle her way into the building with various members of the Capture and Defense corps. A little too busy to notice you are already out.

[Mimikyu]: MASTER, I WAS SO WORRIED, I WAS READY TO TAKE THE SHOT, IF SOMETHING HAPPENED TO YOU, M-MASTER YOU ARE ALRIGHT! UGFGF….. Mimikyu is crying unintelligibly n your shoulder, his costume makes him even harder than understand. He’s glad you are alright.

[Prince]: PAPA! WAAAAAAAAH!

Prince is doing more or less the same in your other shoulder.

[Kadabra]: I’m just glad everything turned alright.

[Vulpix]: I really wanted to use that “Save Percy’s/Master/Trainer’s butt” that you were cooking though.

[Kadabra]: Our plan didn’t have such name, but I’m glad you found it agreeable, but I couldn’t come up with it without Prince.

In the distance, you spy an Aerodactyl flying away.

Also, it seems like authorities have some questions for you…

You have no reason to lie. You tell them about the explosion, the revolutionaries, The Arsonist, and what he did.
The Arsonist will be now wanted in a nation-wide scale. For the kidnapping of the governor, getting him back, and finding the revolutionaries will be the primary objective of this investigations.

Jeanne’s safety, it’s apparently not a crucial matter.

At least, the authorities already informed old Priest Arclight about the disappearance of her Protégé.

It’s late when you come out of the station. Eli and Gareth are already waiting for you outside.

Eli: Yeah dude, what happened inside?

Percy: I…I fucked up. Really bad. I just, I just wanted to help everyone.

Percy: And everything, just… Goddamit! It was supposed to be just a job!

Percy: I’m like a Sewaddle that can’t even knit two stupid leaves together for camouflage, and instead shows it’s dumb little head to the predators, and then his friends also get snatched up with him because of his incompetence.

Percy:And he forces one of the Sewaddles to try and fight the Flying types but she just get’s hurt. So he teams up with other similar looking bug type to fight off the Pidgeys, and he succeeds! But he then betrays the trust that Sewaddle had in him in a desperate and stupid move, because his partner said he’ll steal the other Sewaddles from him and then..then…

Percy: I’m a fuck up.

[Gareth]: Percy, I’m not the best at Pokémon. But I’m sure that wasn’t just one of your analogies. And if it was, Sewaddles have complex and crazy lives impossible to understand.

[Gareth]: I’m sure. Whatever you did. It was with the best interest in mind, and sometimes we screw up. But that doesn’t mean you are a “fuck up”.

Eli: Maybe he is.

[Gareth]: Dude! I’m trying to support him!

Eli:And what’s so wrong with being a “Fuck Up”? We are all “fuck ups”!

Eli: I’ve spent more time detained by the police, or in juvie that in class!

Eli:You, are a 20 something, homeless college dropout.

[Gareth]:I prefer the term, “wandering spirit”

Eli: And weirdo, can barely function in a human society.

Eli:That doesn’t mean we aren’t getting better! Everyday, we become just a little less of a “fuckup”!

Eli:Sure, you screwed up. You took a wrong decision and your friend got hurt because of your call, and maybe you made things shitty for whoever was fighting the terrorists with you. And whoever else got tangled up in that mess, well you couldn’t know that those crazy fuckers would set a bomb there!

Percy:You understood my analogy?

Eli: I’m trying to understand you weirdo! Now listen up! Nobody died! You still can clean up your shit!

Eli: “We're still young, us and our Pokémon, we need time to learn, and making mistakes is part of learning.” A skinny, preachy nerd told me so. And he’s right.

Eli:So stop your mopping! If you have trouble with it, we are here for you. I’ll kick your ass into reason if you ever need it.

[Gareth]: Damn, you are harsh. But she’s right. You aren’t alone on this. I may not be much help, but we are here for you, Bug-man, Sandrider and Drillbreaker too!
>>
>>3088442

Eli keeps trying to rough house your sadness away, Gareth is a bit more patient with it. He empathizes with the feeling of knowing you screwed up and affected the ones around you.

A curious duality of support.

It's strange, but even if it's for a moment. They take your mind of things. As you walk all together to the bus station. Eli, Gareth, their teams, your team.

You crack a smile when you see Jaws and Tremor fight for the most trivials of things. When Avenger shows Friday his latest drawing for her to critique.

As Bugman, Sandrider, and Drillbreaker all envelope their trainer with affection, and silk threads. They are protective of him, and wants to see him grow as well.

Vulpix running around the place, curious of every little new thing, Loudred salivating as she sees any delicious foodstuff pass by. Houndour walking serenely by your side, telling you he has your back. Mimikyu in your backpack, always ready to protect you, he perks up his head to talk with Kadabra about missed love and asks him to read the minds of the humans nearby to find new recipes.

Even if it's just for a moment. Everything's fine. And you wish it could stay like this for a longer time.

But there's worries on your mind, things you have to deal with and objectives to accomplish.

You have to make it up to them. To set things straight, with Victoria, whom you hurt after she tried to help. With Jeanne, who just wanted to see her friend again. Even the Arsonist, who you are not sure what to think of him.

You do want to let others down again.

As you and the rest of your traveling group enter the bus. The unease returns.

>The trip to your destination will take various hours, you'll arrive at a bus stop and proceed to set up a camp.

What should you do during this hours?

>Search rumors about the Arsonist online
>Spend some time alone, to clear your head.
>Take a nap/ attempt to contact Victoria.
>Spend it with your mons, see how are they doing.
>Let's unwind with Eli, being with her takes your mind of things

>Try to contact Aleida, ask her about [Cubone-Mask] and the other revolutionaries.

You don't want to waste much time to make amends. Telling your team you are gonna take a quick visit to the psychic girl. Besides, you need some well deserved rest. You prepare to nap away.

Before falling sleep you try to tell her that you only want to talk, you didn't realize hlw bad she was hurting and you want to apologize, and most importantly you want to know if she's alright.

While Percy isn't exactly a psychic he's still able to communicate with Pokemon, & human alike. Like some Psychic Pokemon are able to do.

You open your eyes to a bright blue sky. You find yourself laying on the grass, there seems to be primitive looking houses and small building surrounding you in what appears to be a forest of sorts.

Your body feels strange. The world around you feels bigger than before. You try to scratch your head as you try to make sense of this. Instead of hair, you feel fur and... ears? You look at your hand, no, your paw. It's covered in white fur.

You take a good look at the rest of your body, small short limbs, covered in bluish fur, a fluffy tail, the way your ears seem to shut over themselves.

You are a Meowstic.

You see Pokémon walk around the place, you can understand them. It's not your Pokécomunnication, you automatically understand everything they say.

A Pancham and a Dunsparce approach you.

[Meowstic]: Rescue Missions? Count me in!

A feeling of excitement washes over you and clears your head of your previous worries. What was so important anyway? There’s Pokémon that need your help! Adventure awaits!

[Pancham]: Yeah! That’s the spirit! Dunsparce, what do we have for today?

The Dunsparce, using his mouth, takes out of his bag various letters.

[Dunsparce]: Let’s see…oh, there’s hurt Gothorita that needs some help! She’s somewhere hidden in the old fortress.

[Dunsparce]:Big bad Bannete and his team of no-good doers have kidnapped little Mareep! They are hiding somewhere inside Mount Ember!

[Dunsparce]:And Mawile wanted us to find various ingredients so she can prepare a medicine to threat all the sick Pokémon in the village! We’ll have to go to The Woods to find them!

While all of them are urgent, helping Gothorita is crucial right now! You are aware she’s hurt and if she’s not healed as soon as possible things could turn bad for her. At least, Mareep is not in immediate danger, and the sick Pokémon at the village can hang on a little longer.

[Meowstic]: We’ll help Gothorita! Let’s go to the old fortress!

[Pancham]: Alright! Mawile is gonna be mad, but she can wait a little longer, Gothorita needs our help right now!

[Dunsparce]: I’ll be right behind you!

You and your rescue team venture out of the forest, following the road to the old fortress. A strange, big building. No one knows what was built for, but it has been long ago abandoned, nowadays, it’s in control of the MAD CACTURNE, and his army of RATICATE KNIGHTS.
It’s a big gray fortress, the sky seems to obscure around it, Pawniard’s are guarding the door and, you can spy an open window in one of the upper towers, and you’ve heard rumors of a secret passage from the well to go into the fortress dungeon.

[Dunsparce]:Oh mon, this looks more dangerous than I thought, will we be able to do it? Just the three of us?

[Pancham]:Of course we will! Stop being a coward Duns, you have the strongest mon around with you after all!

Pancham proudly states this fact while flexing her muscles, Dunsparce doesn’t seem more relieved.

[Meowstic]: If it looks dangerous from outside, with the three of us together, Gothorita must be really scared, we can’t just turn back now!

[Dunsparce]: You are right. We are a rescue team, helping others is our mission, there’s no time to be waste!

>Convince the Pawniards of letting you in.
>Fight the Pawniards and enter trough the front door!
>Let’s try to climb the tower from the outside and enter.

>Go down the well.
>What can we do?

You spot the old, dried off well near the castle. Trying to not raise much attention everyone makes their way down. You float down using your *Telekinesis* carefully, while Dunsparce takes advantage of his wings to make his way down. You offer to help Pancham but she insists on climbing down with the rope, she’s always like this.

In a couple of minutes, you find yourself in the bottom of the well, it’s pretty dark aside for dim light source at the ground. It seems like the rumors were real! There’s a small passage that leads to one of the corridors of the dungeon. Unfortunately, it’s blocked by Iron bars. And you need a *Key* to open it.

You take a moment to remember. Just what can you do? You try to jog your memory for a bit, and it comes back to you.

You are a support-type Mon! most of your powers relate to helping your teammates, not to directly cause damage. You are also the diplomat of the group.

You take this chance to ask your companions about their abilities.

[Pancham]: Are you for real meows? You are such a scatterbrain.

[Pancham]: I’m the muscle! Most of my moves are attacks, the higher damage output, the better! I even spent some time learning “Super Power” and some Elemental Punches! My old man even taught me *Storm Throw*

[Dunsparce]: I’m not good at fighting but I can do some other things! I carry most of our supplies and toss them to you in battle, and help out with things like *Yawn*, *Glare*, or even *Dig* to escape!
Pancham could break them without problem but it will definitely raise some attention.

On the other hand, Dunsparce could try and dig his way out, and make a tunnel that leads inside the dungeon, but you have no idea of where it could lead.

You can spy some guards roaming around the corridors, it’s a Rhydon and a Donphan. The Rhydon has some keys, they must be the jailers. They turn to another corridor and you can’t see them anymore, they must be patrolling the area.

The fortress is a symbolization of where Vicky is being held, a large building that was abandoned, but now is occupied by many Pokemon(people).

>[???]: An interesting dream. A sweet, hope-filled dream.
>[???]: But just a delusion.

This is mostly likely Vicky speaking, longing to escape the building that she is being held in, want to see the outside world, but can only see it through the eyes of another.

She dreams of being outside again, but see's it only as something that will probably never come, as it is only a dream.

>She is hurt because of course she's being treated like a lab rat for those controlling the building, but as well, the meltdown that she had earlier.

Maybe she created this mindscape, to first test us if we would go rescue her, and be her shining Meowstic(hero) that she wants to happen.

[Meowstic]: Hey, Dunsparce, you think you can dig a tunnel we can use as an entrance?

[Dunsparce]: Sure, leave it to me!

Dunsparce is always happy to be useful, he starts to burrow underground, digging away. Pancham follows him, she breaks or pushes away any obstacle in our way. While you, using your telekinesis, help Dunsparce orient himself, and to detect anything that’s coming your way.

You finally found a place where you can squeeze your way inside the fortress. Thanks to your use of *Telekinesis* you alert Dunsparce that your group would fall into WATER if he keeps digging down, and instead moves a few meters to the right to avoid getting soaked.

Dunsparce finally makes an exit and your group drops down into unknown territory. It’s even darker than the dungeon. The air feels damp and there’s a terrible smells coming from the water.

[Pancham]: This place stinks!” She says, as she covers her nose with her bandana.

“[Dunsparce]: This must be the sewers. We are finally inside” The nervous mon responds.

[Meowstic]: We need to find a way up!

“[Dunsparce]:But where could she be? We don’t know where to look.

[Pancham]:We’ll just flip this place upside down! Let’s go team!

You hear something coming this way and tell your team to keep quiet. Something is coming this way, it’s step are accompanied by the sound of clunking metal. It’s complaining about having the duty of taking care of the trash and residues. It must be a RATICATE KNIGHT. He seems to be carrying buckets full of waste.

From the sewage, a purple mass perks it’s head up.

[Grimer]: (Hushed) What are you lot doing? Quickly, hide! Or he’ll take notice off ya!

>Take cover in the sewage, wait for the KNIGHT to go away.

You jump in front of the armored Raticate, he let’s out an expression of confusion. Before he gets the chance to draw out his sword you forcefully “clap” your paws into his helmet, smacking him. He flinches! Taking a sudden step back and dropping the buckets full of residues!

Dunsparce proceeds to use “Screech” to lower the knight's defenses before Panchamn rushes to him with an *Sky Upercut* that strips the Raticate off his helmet and throws his body into the air. As the Raticate falls, Pancham takes his tail and spins him around with “Storm Throw” before sending him directly into the sewage. There’s a splash.

>Raticate Knight: Knocked out.

The armor is a tad too heavy for the knight and he can’t float, for better or worse, the sewage is quite shallow, so he runs no risk of drowning. Except if someone were to flip him over his back.

“Nice” The Grimer seems impressed by your teamwork. Now, what should you do?

>Strip the Raticate of his armor, have someone wear it to move without being recognized. (Who’s using it?)

With the threat being dealt with, you move towards the Grimer, maybe he can point you towards the right direction.

[Meowstic]:Excuse me, Mr Grimer. We are looking for a Gothorita, we're here to rescue her. Any idea where she might be?

[Grimer]: A Gothorita you say? Got no idea. Sorry lad, I’m just a sewer-dweller. But, if she’s important for the Mad Cacturne, I can think of sum places she might be.

The Grimer tells you that deep in the dungeon there’s a heavily guarded cell reserved for the most dangerous of prisoners, but you’ll need a *Special Key* to get there. He knows the Jailers, Donphan and Rhydon got one copy, the other Key is in possession of the Mad Cacturne.

But if she’s not a dangerous person, then the Mad Cacturne might want her close to her, in that case, she’s most likely on one of the closed off towers of the Fortress, you’ll have to traverse the fortress to get there.

The Poison type tells you how to get out of the sewers, there’s passages to both the dungeon and the barracks.

After thanking Grimer for his help, the rescue team make their way out of the sewers and into the barracks. Most of the Raticate Knights aren’t present in the building, they must have gone somewhere else. Tip toeing around, trying to pass unnoticed, you start to notice that this place is even bigger on the inside.

From a window you spy the tower Grimer was talking about, all it’s windows are shuted closed and curtains cover them, making it impossible to see the outside world.

The inside of the fortress is much cleaner and less grim than the lower levels, but’s still makes you feel entrapped. After wandering for a bit, trying to evade any Pokémon coming your way, you find yourself in a crossroad. All paths seem to lead to the tower.

In front of you there’s a courtyard where most of the Raticate Knight’s are sparring. Closing their tiny swords against the other, there’s no stone flooring in the courtyard meaning that Dunsparce could dig a tunnel across it, but there’s the risk of being seen after you get out.

There’s also a various Rampardos, Bastiodons, Aerodactyl’s and other Prehistoric mons chained in the courtyard, they seem to be resting.

To your left there’s a halfway custodied by more Knights, it seems to lead to the Tower where Gothorita probably is. The problem is that the set of 4 knights remains unmoving. And won’t let anyone trough.

And, to your right there’s a long corridor that leads to a maze like series of hallways and stairs. You can hear the monotonous voice of a Cacturne who’s reading a book out loud coming from them, he seems completely entranced by his lecture as he makes his way trough the confusing halls.

>Go to the left, where the knights are protecting the entrance to the tower.
>Go through the courtyard. Have Dunsparce dig another hole.

[Pancham]: Nah, If you gotta plan, I know that I can trust you Meows.

Pancham playfully punches your arm as Dunsparces goes into the courtyard and starts digging, you and the Fighting type follow close and jump into the hole. It seems like the Raticates haven’t noticed you yet. You better hurry up before they discover the hole that’s just appeared on the dirt out of nowhere.

Dunsparce swiftly digs trough the Courtyard, he’s feeling really motivated today! “You are just on a roll today aren’t ya?” Asks the Pancham “I’m just glad to be helpful”. He’s going pretty fast, it’s a bit hard to match his pace but you manage. Afterall, there’s someone who needs your help.

[Meowstic]:The coast is clear, let’s get out.

Dunsparce makes an exit and quickly moves inside the Fortress again, Pancham and you follow quickly. You can hear something raising some ruckus on the courtyard.

“Hey guys! Look!” Exclaims one of the Raticate-Knights, “Someone left a Substite Dol here! It's cute!” The rest of the Raticate’s start to beat-up the one who distracted them of their training.

Seems like Dunsparce set up a decoy. Just in case.

“Hey! Get back to training!” You hear the voice of the Mad Cacturne, the commotion must have gotten his attention. He starts to chastise his troops for wasting precious training time. This should get all Knights and the Mad Cacturne of your back.

Your group finally arrives at the closed off tower, the three of you start to climb the spiral staircase in what feels like an eternity.

Dunsparce starts to rummage into his bag to find everything necessary to heal Gothorita once you find her.

After a long walk upwards you are met with a final door, all the windows are blocked by curtains, the only light are a few sparse torches. In front of the Door a Mawile sits tranquil. Pancham tells you she’s not the Mawile from the village, she looks older, bigger, in her neck hangs a collar sporting a strange colorful stone. “Mawilite”.

Your instincts tell you that Gothorita is behind that door.

Smoke starts to fill the room before the Mawile takes notice, the drowsy yawn that comes out from Dunsparce reverberates softly as the Mawile unconsciously repeats the yawn. “Oh my, I’m getting a bit tired from all this guarding”. She’s struggling to keep her eyes open, but she can’t fight it.

“I’m sure nothing will happen if I close my eyes for five *Yawn* minutes”. Just as she utters this words, she falls soundly asleep, the mouth on the back of her head starts to snore soundly. Pancham is the first one to go towards the door, poking Mawile’s cheek lightly to assure she’s asleep.

You and Pancham push the heavy door open, a lonely Gothorita sits on the bed, her head buried in her knees as she hugs her legs. She seems hurt.

The sky is pitch black, there’s no stars in sight.

[???]: If you want your actions to have meaning.

Gothorita, who you were just holding in your arms, starts to melt away into a black puddle of tar. The fortress starts to crumble. Breaking into pieces and falling to the ground, everything that surrounded, the green mounds and plains, the trees, mountains and forest don’t exist any longer.

The only thing that remains is this courtyard and the ruins of the old fortress.

In the middle of everything a strange figure starts to raise, obscure, amorphous, it shrieks and moves without rhyme nor reason. The only thing that you can discern is a pair of shining red eyes beaming with bloodlust.

>>3090190
>obscure, amorphous, it shrieks and moves without rhyme nor reason
>a pair of shining red eyes
Definitely an avatar of Giratina.
Backing >>3090198 BUT Work Up instead of Arm Thrust.

As much as my metaknowledge might scream at me that this is a Ghost type, Fake Out exists to be an opener. If it lands, then it's not Ghost and there is no problem. If not, then it's fucking Giratina of all mons to fight, and we need to change our strats ASAP.
Our best bet for a general plan once turn 1 ends would be setting up dual screens, and either Helping Hand Pancham or Disarming Voice spam for unavoidable damage.
After 1 Work Up, Pancham should start trying out elemental punches to check for weaknesses. The moment we find one, we spam it until we win.
Dunsparce should Glare to paralyze, then start spamming a damaging move to exploit that sweet OP Serene Grace. Wonder if he has Ancient Power for BOOSTAN or Air Slash for FLINCHAN. PMD rules say you can break bossfights with statuses and this one should ideally be no exception.

If it turns out that this IS a Giratina avatar, then the team spams Disarming Voice/Ice Punch/whatever, taking care to put screens back up when they disappear. Also throwing seeds is always par for the course in PMD bossfights, and I expect Dunsparce to have that as his job if he does not have any good moves to exploit Serene Grace with once Glare is used.

The rescue team barely dodges the beast, it’s faces to face with them. It’s no discernable expression. Just a writhing mass of shadows.

[Dunsparce]: Wh-what’s that thing? What happened to everyone?

[Meowstic]: It’s…something we have to defeat

[Pancham]: Alright! Stop, being so scared Duns, we always come up un top, no matter the challenge!

Dunsparce is shaking, fearful. But he knows that everything will be alright if he has his friends by his side! He steels himself for the fight to come!

Pancham is always trying to prove herself, no matter what comes her way, she won’t back down. Especially when her friends are in need!

You give the Rescue team the order, and they ready themselves to abide! Pancham will start by boosting her attack power, while Dunsparce paralyses the enemy. You’ll help them out by using a “Fake Out” to try and flinch him!

The shadowy figures starts to contort in it’s place, raising a violent gust of wind around itself.

Roll me some 2d10s.
Need three rolls!

>Meowstic move had no effect!
>DOUBLE CRITS.

You get into the incorporeal creature face and smash your paws against his face as hard as you can! But your attack phases through him.

You fall to the ground.

As the beast gets ready to retaliate and let out the violent gust of wind, he’s stopped dead on it’s tracks! Dunsparce eyes glow red as his “Glare” locks eyes with the strange creature and paralyses it, slowing down it’s movements and making it stop his attack. The Normal type has let go off his fear of the creature standing in front of him.

This gives Pancham the opportunity to use “Work Up” to its full potential. She starts to hype herself up, roaring as fierce fully as her cutesy appearance let’s her. There’s heat exuding from her body as she boosts her attack to her maximum potential!

Dunsparce gets ready to screech and lower the beast's defenses. He's decided to give it's it all!

And to wrap things up for this round, Pancham will be striking at the strange creatures head with an *Ice Punch* by your suggestion!

You start to give Pancham your energy to boost this attack, while Dunsparce screeches loudly at the Best. It starts to shriek back and starts to spasm, it’s dark mass writhes around in strange sudden motions that suddenly comes to a health by its paralysis.

Disturbed by the sound he unleashes an *Aura Sphere* unto Dunsparce, to stop it’s screeching.

>[???]’s Defense was reduced!

You barely manage to duck the attack, almost grazing you, it interrupts your *Helping Hand*, nevertheless, you boosted Pancham’s attack for this turn, even if it’s isn’t as much as you’d like!

The *Aura Sphere* strikes Dunsparce, it sends it’s unconscious body rolling away, scorched by the blast. Thankfully he’s carrying some reviver seeds.
>Dunsparce has been knocked out.
>The Reviver seed will wake him up after next round. (Used 1, 2 left)

>Pancham’s Damage output has been augmented for this attack!

Without wasting any more time, Pancham jumps onto the beast face and delivers a powerful icy punch to it’s face. There’s frost surrounding her paw, as she strikes the beast falls backs and starts to writhe in pain. It’s been damaged more than it expected!
>It’s super effective!

You can see that ice starts to cover the beast face, and envelopes it’s whole mass!

>[???] Has been frozen!

The beast has no chance to retaliate, you can see it’s trying to break free of the ice to no avail.
>You got two rounds, of free actions. Dunsparce will remain unconscious for the first one and jump back into action in the second one.

You start giving off your energy to Pancham once again. But you abruptly stop after starting to feel tired, it’s strange, you’ve barely done any moves today besides using telekinesis. You turn to see the beast, it’s red eyes are still fixed on to you, they exert some form of draining Pressure onto you, it’s starting to make your body feel heavy.

[Meowstic]: Sorry, I wanted to give you some more, but…

[Pancham]: Don’t worry Meows, I got more than enough to finish this clown.

>Pancham’s damage output has been boosted.

[Pancham]:RAAUGH!

Gritting its teeth, the little fighting type runs towards the frozen creature, ready to deliver another powerful blow into its body. Despite its humongous size, the impact from the cold strike is enough to make the creature fall back. It’s body its still frozen, unmoving. But his eyes shine with an intense fury.

[Pancham]: Meowstic!

The Pancham screams for you, Dunsparce screech is cut short by him turning his head to look at you.
>[???]: Defense has been lowered even further!

Enraged, Pancham prepares to engage the beast, with her cold fist she pummels the beast body, trying to make as much damage as possible and finish this once and for all!
It’s almost enough.
Almost.

You fall unconscious.
>Meowstic has been knocked out.
….

Suddenly, your eyes open once again, the injuries from the *Shadow Claw* have healed. At your side is an used “Reviver Seed” that has turned into a “Plain Seed”

The Beast is still here, its black tendrils have captured both Pancham and Dunsparce. They try to escape it’s grasp to no avail.

[Pancham]: Meows! You are alright!

[Dunsparce]: I’m glad that seed worked! We thought you were a goner!

[???]: You fought well, even if it’s a world of lies.
[???]: Almost defeated this beast.
[???]: Nevertheless, are you ready to make sacrifices?
[???]: Put those close to you in danger?
[???]: All, to get closer to her?

[???]: If that’s the case, show me.
[???]: This apparition is on it’s last legs
[???]: Another attack, and it’s done for. You’ll be rewarded with the truth.
[???]: Can you do it? Let me help you.

You feel a sharp pain in your mind.

>Meowstic learned: *Psychic*

[Dunsparce]: What’s happening? What’s that sound?

[Pancham]: Calm down! I’m sure Meows has a plan to get us out of this one! Right Meows?

The black tendrils surrounding Dunsparce cracks it’s neck, it’s body becomes limp as the tendrils let go. It falls to the ground lifeless.

[Pancham]:Oh, no, no. Quick Meowstic, you, you gotta help him! We can save him right? We always can!

Dunsparce isnt’ breathing anymore.

[Pancham]: Meows? What are you….

You raise your ears, unloading all the Psychic power you store inside in one final attack. The psychokinetic energy bombards the Beast, and Pancham. The obscure creature’s body starts to fall apart, while Pancham is pummeled, beaten, she holds her head in desperation, crying from the pain. Her skin tears, her bones break, her mind is destroyed.

The beast cackles.

Such a strong girl. Becomes broken.
You broke her.
You killed her.
It’s your fault.
But it doesn’t matter. It’s just a dream. Just a dream. Just a dream.
You kept telling yourself that keep calm.

As the figure falls apart completely, and Pancham’s body lies lifeless. A single white door appears.

You open it and enter inside.

Everything is white, cold. Like an endless snowy field.

You are no longer Meowstic, you’ve shed that delusion.

You are Percival Williams.

Percy: Victoria? Where are you?!

You scream in a helpless attempt to get a response. You look to all the directions, and far away you finally notice something. A pair of girls. A blonde one, with long hair.
And a blue haired one.

You hear a voice in the back of your neck. It’s even colder than the snow and icy wind surrounding you.

[Victoria]: I want to show you something.

[Victoria]: Something I did.

[Victoria]: You’ve heard about it before.

[Victoria]: But It would be better if you could feel it.

Sorry anons, gotta pause the session. I'll be back at 10 pm MDT to wrap everything up.

Get ready for a little trip down to memory lane. Victoria's last day home.

Question time!

How does Percy feels about the Arsonist? Does he consider it a real friend? A dangerous person? Someone who needs help?
>>
>>3091128
>pausing at this time
Why torture us like that? Eli better be safe and sound.
About the Arsonist, I do consider him a real human bean, I like him a lot. However, just like Victoria, he needs help.
>>
>>3091128
I think his relationship with Arsonist started as putting up with his messed up shit because if the police can't catch him then he'll at least keep him from hurting people. But then he saw him being a genuinely fun and honest guy that despite being mentally unstable and lacking ethics still had a bit of a heart on him, that's when Percy felt actual compassion towards him.
>>
>>3091088
Time to hug Eli as tight as we can the moment we see her, and try not to cry but end up crying a lot. She'll think we're being weird again until we tell her the dream.

>>3091128
I feel like Percy sees Arsonist as what he could have been had he gone even further mentally unstable and off the deep end into autism. That or Arsonist is the twin brother Percy never had. Either way, Arsonist needs some serious help - or someone to be close to the same wavelength as him, which Percy proved he can be, to an extent.
>>
>>3091128
Personally I think Percy wouldn't really regard him as a friend the same way I would regard his other friends, but I'm thinking I'm in the minority here. He is absolutely dangerous, though, no matter how you slice it.

Unlike Victoria, though, I don't think he really wants help - he seems to really relish the whole 'chaos and violence' thing.
>>
>>3091275
This. I can see sympathizing with him, he's kinda like a dark mirror, but I can't see being friends with him.
>>
>>3091128
I think Arsonist is a friend, that could potentially be helped by Percy, but helping him seems more unlikely, compared to Vicky, who we have tried to help, and are seeing results. I'm ready to help Vicky in any way, but I'm unsure about the arsonist.
>>
>>3091305
I don't see how is he harder to help than Victoria. Victoria is a super powerful psychic being trapped by the Pokemon world Umbrella Corp. Arsonist is just a very well armed guy that's all by himself.

The Orizaba’s house is particularly chilly during the winter season, even though the ambient is always a cold one. Except when you are with her. She always makes you feel warm.

You are sitting in her room with her, she brought some spoons and various toys. To “Practice our control over our abilities”. She’s so helpful. Even after what you did. Your parents are always filling her with responsibilities, pressuring her in her studies, in dumb artistic and cultural wastes of time. But she always tries to make some time for you. But, it’s never enough time.

You don’t understand what you did wrong, but you know that it made her sad, angry, it was horrible.

Kali: What’s the matter? You are looking so gloom, chin up a little bit!

[Victoria]: … Aren’t you still mad at me? For what I did to Pachi….

Kali:That’s… it’s okay. It was an accident, I know you didn’t mean to do it. That’s why we are practicing! I know your *Gift* is a bit different from mine, and harder to control. But I want to help you in any way I can!

That was a lie. It wasn’t an accident. You where fully aware of what you were doing. But that Pachirisu, she hogged her attention too much. She never has free time, and when she does, she took care, and played with it.

You hated it. You want her to be with you, only you. So, you got rid of that distraction.

[Victoria]: You looked so mad, I thought you’d hate me forever…

She gives you a soft, sisterly bonk on the head.

Kali: Don’t say that! I could never hate you, I was mad at you. Pachi was very important to me, but I couldn’t stay mad at you forever. You are my little sister, and nothing is going to change that.

She’s so kind. So, kind with you. But, she’s also kind to “him”. And that’s something you can’t allow.

[Victoria]: Even if I did, something very, very bad? Even if I hurt you?

Kali:I know you wouldn’t do that, not on purpose. I said it, no matter what happens. You’ll always be my little sister. Now come on, these spoons aren’t going to twist themselves!

You just needed to hear it from her, that she’ll forgive you no matter what you do. Even if it hurts her. You are going to make sure she stays with you.

She’s putting so much effort, trying to make the spoon bend with her mind, it barely does. You can do it, without much problem. But you always put too much strength into it. It’s hard not to break them. It’s the same with Pokémon. And honestly, you prefer breaking them. You can always piece them back together.

But for her sake, you are trying your best to not break anything.
>>
You close in, and hug your sister, like you haven’t done in a while. She hugs back.

Kali: It’s nice to hug like this right? I’m sorry for making you worry Vicky.

[Victoria]: Dad is a liar, you are not a failure. You are the only warm thing in this cold place.

Kali: Are you alright Vicky? Don’t listen to him, he’s just….

[Victoria]: I’m sorry.

You don’t feel bad for what you are about to do. But the thought of making her cry again, hurts.

Seems like this one’s getting all the votes. Interesting to hear that Kali also has psychic powers, albeit weaker ones then Victoria’s. Wonder who they get it from? Orizaba at least doesn’t seem very psychic.

The choices are all the same.
Because the deed is already done.

The boy arrived at the usual time, just as your sister does, you opened the gate and let him pass. He says hello with the usual irritable excitement, you tr your best to imitate your sister reaction.

[Richard]: Hey! What do you want today? And where’s Vicky? I wanted to say hi to her!

[Kali?]: She’s busy. Follow me, I wanted to show you something…

You take the boy upstairs, to her room. And tell him to close his eyes while you go get something. Your dissection kit, most importantly, your trusty knife.

You return to the room and instruct the boy to close his eyes. You got a surprise for him,

[Kali?]: Where you serious? About, going on a “Journey” together?

[Richard]: Of, course I am! I know we are just kids right now, but I can’t think of a better way to go on an adventure that being with my Best Friend.

[Richard]:My brother thinks that traveling alone is the way to go, but he’s a dumb-
[Kali?]: I can understand that. I like being with her. She cares for me.

[Kali?]: The problem is, that she also wants to go with you. She felt really happy when you said it.

[Kali?]: And I can’t have that.

[Kali?]: I don’t want to be alone.

[Richard] What do you mean Kali?...

You silence the boy with your powers, pin him to a wall. You take out your knife. He’s scared, crying, trying to scream.

You begin to cut his skin. Driving the blood-stained blade into his body, again, and again, and again, and again…. Doing you best to miss any vital spots.
That comes later.

You made sure to keep her conscious during this. Made sure that she can still feel the blade in her hand, see the blood staining her skin, and the helpless cries of the boy.
So, she won’t get close to him again.
So, she won’t get close to anyone again.
She pleads you to stop.
You ignore her
That you can still save him.
You ignore her.
She says she’ll always be with you. That she won’t go away.
You ignore her.
She says that if you keep doing this, she won’t forgive you this time.
You ignore her.
Because you know she’s lying.

You can feel her tears on her face.
You try to ignore the pain in your chest.

[CG. Orizaba]: Luxray! Thunder Wave!

You didn’t notice the old man entering the room with his servant. The attack paralyses Kali’s muscles, you are stopped.

Kali managed to contact him, with her limited abilities, in a desperate move.

You’ve used your abilities too much. Your control over her is stopped, your real body is already surrounded by your father’s servant. A commotion occurs in the house.

They are discussing what to do with you.
Mother doesn’t want to look at you.
The Old Man can only feel anger for your actions.
And her. You can’t look at her. And she won’t approach.
>>
>>3091571

The only want to lend a hand to you.
Is your father.

He says your *Gift* is even better than he anticipated, he’ll take you with him. To help you hone it, control it. Use it to it’s full extent, and once you are ready.

You’ll take over, as head of White Veil.
As head of BlackStone.
As head of this sorry country.
The world is in your grasp.
"We Exceptional people can't be wasting our time with the likes of the common folk"

You take his hand.
>>
>>3091574
Oh. I get it now.

Everything goes white again. Once again you are Percival Williams, in this freezing land. A blue haired girl is standing in font of you. She won’t face you.

[Victoria]: I’m going to hurt you.

[Victoria]: And those close to you.

[Victoria]: Your friends.

[Victoria]: Your teammates.

[Victoria]: Even when I don’t want to.

[Victoria]: Because I can’t see nothing wrong with what I do.

[???]: Make your choice human. Morning is coming.

The girl is still showing you her back. You take a step forward.

Because, you believe in second chances.

You remember what you talked with Kadabra last night, even with her abilities and her actions. She's just a young girl. A lonely one.

And if you really want to help her, you should treat her as you try to treat everyone else. Even if it could be dangerous.

You'll be there for her, to help her along the way.

You keep walking towards her, while the snowstorm intensifies.

The closer you get to her, the harder the snowstorm rages, you can feel your skin covered in frost. It feels so real. It hurts, but you keep going, until you are separated by mere meters.

[Percy]: I’m not afraid to try, I’m not afraid of you.

[Percy]:Pokémon and people deserve a second a chance.

[Percy]:I’ll be there for you, and help you out. If you are willing to trust me.

[???]:His words are empty, he just wants-

[Victoria]: …Let him finish… Why should I trust you? Why should you trust me?

[Percy]: It’s like. How Zebstrika & Trumbeak trust each other and coexist!

[Percy]: Zebstrika allows the Trumbeak to eat the Charjabugs on their backs, and the Trumbeaks help by flying up when a predator is nearby such as a Pyroar warning them that one is near.

[Percy]: I want to help you, to get out of there. If there’s a way, I want you tell me, please?

[Victoria]: You promise you won’t leave me alone?

[Percy]:It’s a pinkie-Poké Promise!

You lift your fifth digit of your right hand and offer it to the girl.

After a moment that feels like an eternity. Finally, the girl turns back to face you. She looks serious, sorrowful, and she still won’t look directly at you.
But she finally showed her face to you.

In a single, rapid motion she takes your finger and intertwines it with her own. It feels small and delicate.

[Victoria]: Don’t break it.

[Victoria]: I’ll get really mad if you do.

You can’t help but smile slightly. The girl let’s go of your hand.

[Victoria]: If you try to break into the lab, you’ll most definitely get killed. And I’ll be looked for in all the region.

[Victoria]: There are other ways, but one is impossible, and the other… you won’t like the other.

[Percy]: What are them?

[Victoria]: Either destroy Black Stone and White Veil, and their control over the region, making sure they can never open again.
[Victoria]: Or help Kali get into the Pokémon league of this year, and beat Maximilam

For a moment you consider how to topple such economic and political power.

[Victoria]: Our time here is up.

The snow around you start to melt, it isn’t freezing any longer.

[Victoria]: I’m glad… that you made your way to here.

[Victoria]: Your hand, it felt warm .

Moving towards the taller trainer you wrap your around him, awkwardly closing in for a hug. You are not accustomed to these kind of displays of affection, not with people at least.

[Gareth]: Woah there buddy, careful with your arm!

You try your best to maintain yourself calm, to let go off him, and try to play it cool.

Instead you grip him harder and start to babble like a mess.
[b][Percy][/b]: (speaking hurriedly between sobs) You-you dug the hole, W-we made it to the end of the fortress, and passed the Mawile, and we finally r-rescued Gothorita. And then that thing appeared, and The Raticate Knights weren’t there, and I thought we could fight it, and t-then he got you and Pancham, and then the beast… and I…I did...I hurt.. (Unintelligible sobbing)

While you try to retell your dream the older trainer pats you in the back, in a brotherly way.

[Gareth]: It’s okay bud, let it out all out

[red][Eli][/red]: Hey, why are you two sissies standing there hugging? Help out with breakfast!

The girl is standing near you, holding wood for the campfire. You reach her and make it a group hug.

Percy better have some slight psi powers now, if Giratina necksnap on Gareth in a dream is only enough to make him ache in the real world, then Confusion is the most I expect Percy to be able to have - or at least an awakened latent skill all humans can have, or whatnot.

To be honest it's only similar in superficial ways like, "Social retard MC with a special gift, a trainer class with 'Maniac' in the name and a Mimikyu". It's pretty fun tho, at least while it lasted, and the QM is arguably even worse than you! So give it a read, it might help your self-esteem.

>>3092850
>>3092876
To be fair, THAT quest is fucking dead and THIS one is still better despite Mediocre's writing being a clusterfuck sometimes. And this quest does all of that much better and integrated in a sensible non-retard way.
>>
>>3092876
Yep, and that was part of the reason why I skipped the first six threads, which I regret since then the players did worse things like getting Alolapix in the first place.

>worse things like getting Alolapix in the first place
You saying Alolapix is bad? Or did you want us to get a Snover instead to use the Abomasite down the line?
>>
>>3092883
What's wrong with Vulpix? I thought the character ended up being more interesting that most Pokemon quest MCs. Plus it helps the mons feel more like actually characters too.
>>
>>3092920
>>3092921
I'm saying I didn't want another Pokémon at all, the original 3 were perfect as they were. An Alola Ninetales is as good as Ice types get but being an Ice Type is a flaw all in itself. Her personality is good even if she's kind of a slut but at the end of the day she's more trouble than she's worth. She sucks at fights and she's the reason why we got tangled up with Victoria in the first place, and players barely get the time to adress her issues.
But none of this is actual criticism of the quest, I just would have prefered a Swinub or something like that.
>>
>>3092942
Ah I gotcha. Thought it was more for a min max reason. I think die to the roll at the time we would have gotten mixed up with Victoria anyway, it would have just been a different mon. I'm not a huge fan of her personality either but I feel it was in Percy's character to take her on.
>>
>>3092942
To be fair, having her does give us a good contest Pokémon. Also, the final (And most dangerous) gym is Dragon Type, so having a Fairy/Ice Type will be quite useful. Her personality’s a little rough, but it’d be no fun if they were all easy to work with. And I mean, Victoria is clearly a pretty big plot points, so I suspect we would have ended up getting involved with her anyways, Vulpix or no, considering we’ve been interacting fairly regularly with Kali and Dick. Besides, she’s not a terrible fighter. She’s performed acceptably for most of the fights, considering she started out behind the others, the only fight i can remember her jobbing hard for is the Raticate fight, and all of our Pokémon jobbed there.

>[What-if]
>Revolutionary Pokémon Liberator Percy.
>If things went a little different.

It’s late at night.
In a certain warehouse at Silverpoint city, a group of shady-´people are working in their makeshift lab, forcing Pokémon to produce stun-spores so they can mix it with other chemicals in order to prepare some of that hot new thing that’s been a hit with the youth of this god-forsake city.
They call it “nuzzle”.

What they didn’t expect, was two young revolutionaries, ready to put their operations to a halt. And release the Pokémon inside.

They were supposed to go on a recon mission to get some info on BlackStone’s mining activities, but, after catching a glimpse of what’s going on with these Pokémon, this pair of defenders of liberty couldn’t just let this pass.

They been digging a tunnel below the warehouse to lead all the mons to the outside, and ready some Claydolls, Natus, and Abras ready to teleport everyone to safety.

[Aleida]: Are you ready for this? We can’t back down now!

Percy: You know I couldn’t. Not when there’s Pokémon that need our help.

[Aleida]: That’s the spirit! I’ll lead the first strike against all the guards, and then return with you to open all the cages. Can you cover my back?

Percy:You don’t have to ask me, you know I’ll be looking out for you. We are comrades!

The girl smiles at you after hearing your resolve, you don’t need to complicate yourself to find the correct words to use with her. Communicating with her feels natural, as natural as helping all these mons being held against their will. Used as if they were things. That’s something you can’t condone!

You may not know much about politics, but you know about Pokémon, and you know you are doing the right thing. Once everyone is back to base, they can choose to either stay or leave into the wild, lately, a big part of your job is to help them find a good place to live in nature.

She used to do it alone with Deino, helping everyone they could, since the other revolutionary heads won’t let her take outside her complete battalion. Only letting her freely command a certain number of mons, mostly for transport.

But now, she’s got you by her side.
And you got her. Someone who truly understands you.

Almost every human back at base think these little “extra-official” missions of yours are a waste of time. That you aren’t changing anything in this region. But you know they are wrong.

If only they could see the faces and expressions of all the Pokémon you’ve helped since you started, you know they wouldn’t think the same.

As you go over your plans one more time, your companions start to get antsy, well. It’s mostly Bagon, the green shiny dragon you rescued from his mistreatment at hands of that irresponsible human.
>>
>>3093392

[Bagon]: Can we go in already? We’ve heard this plan a million times!

[Deino]: Respect the commanders! They know what they are doing!

[Bagon]: I need to meet my potential subordinates as fast as possible! See if they are fit to serve me.

With the help of your trusty friend Exploud, you finish to dig the hole to find the mons being held captive in their cages.

Along with their captors.

A strange pair of youths seem to be waiting for you, a boy and a girl, Pokéballs in hand. They are saying something about wanting to find some “Big-bad Revolutionary leaders” to “trash their asses” for “some mad rep”. You think you’ve seen that girl before, during the trainer’s test.

They won’t let any Pokémon go without a fight. You ready yourself to battle that’s about to happen as they introduce themselves.

[Girl] Get ready for sum pain!

[Boy]: Cuz we make it rain!

[Girl] To send your butts into devastation!

[Boy]: To trash this sorry excuse of a nation!

[Girl] To defeat every trainer in our way!

[Boy]: We won’t let anyone go away!

[Girl] License-less Hunter!

[Boy]: The fucking Arsonist!

[License-less Hunter] Team Arson will reduce you to ashes!

[The Arsonist]: Can’t back down, until our Pokémon clashes!

[Houndoom]: ….

[Houndoom]: I’m not doing it.

Not knowing how to respond, you and Aleida just keep staring at the strange pair.

[License-less Hunter]: Yo, that was fucking lame.

[The Arsonist]: Shut up, it was great.

[License-less Hunter]:I’m writing the next one.

END.

so anons since our "save vicky" mission has two options wich one do we opt for?
>>
What if, we became really close to Dick, we get a high position in Blackstone, so that we can get intel on what's happening in Blackstone, but at the same time we train our team, and use the resources that the company Blackstone has to become stronger.

>Elekid is basically a baby behemoth(Can become an super strong Electivire)

>Loudred I'm assuming is a pseudo-behemoth(I'm probably wrong about this)

We become a strong trainer and help Kali become strong as well, enter the League.

>Beat Maximillion
>Or invade White Viel during Kali's match(league), and try to free Vicky?

(This is all speculation, idk whats going to happen in the future).

No
>>3093395
>Eli and Arsonist teaming up and doing the stun-spore Nuzzle designer drugs
NO
>Doing TEAM INTRODUCTIONS together
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Okay yeah, fuuuuuuuck that revolutionary Percy timeline. Fuck it.

>>3093594
could also work
could also win Dick over so that when he becomes Blackstone leader somehow, he'll work with us on all this
>>
>>3093609
Sorry anon, I think I didn't make it clear, they aren't the ones making the Nuzzle, they got there first and captured the ones making it.
They were just waiting for you to battle

In this timeline, Percy made it impossible for Eli to get her license after reporting her to the autorithies for battling without one. So, not even your grandpa's intervention helped her.
>>
>>3093683
That's good. I can't imagine Eli falling that fucking low even with Arsonist's influence.
I feel like we are in the best timeline for the quest IMO. So far out of all the alternate timeline what-if stuff, the Dick & Percy bros-before-hoes one is the best other one
>>
What does Victoria think of Percy as a Meowstic?
>>
>>3093594
dick just needs to get 8 badges to inherit blackstone doesnt he? maybe he could help after blackstone absorbs whiteveil
>>
>>3093708
That he's incredibly adorable. And hard to not desire to dissect and mount in her room.

>>3093714
8 badges to keep his last name and land a job at BlackStone along with some inheritance money.

To take over the company, he has to prove himself better for the position than Maximilian, Victoria, and Kali. Right now, he's considered dead last for this position.

>>3093707
Yeah, I think you've been doing pretty good anon. For example, in this thread you didn't try to shoot to just fumble the roll and ending up shooting Jeanne instead.

That would've been a shitshow.
>>
>>3093731
>That he's incredibly adorable.

Awwwww

>And hard to not desire to dissect and mount in her room.

Uhhhh we'll have to work on that.

>To take over the company, he has to prove himself better for the position than Maximilian, Victoria, and Kali.

Eesh, uphill battle for poor Dick.

>Right now, he's considered dead last for this position.

Oof, can't feel good to be losing to a mildly sociopathic psychic that has to be forcibly contained to prevent her from wreaking havoc.
>>
>>3093745
>tfw even the broken psychic girl who enjoys cutting people and mons open for scientific interest taken up to eleven is a better candidate than Dick
it's getting more and more apparent to me that we need to deal with Blackstone and White Veil at endgame - just git gud enough and OP enough to one-man army them no matter what mon lineups they might have
>>
>>3093731
>For example, in this thread you didn't try to shoot to just fumble the roll and ending up shooting Jeanne instead.
O-ooh. That thought never went through my head. I wasn't planning on failing that roll but in hindsight is not like I had much of a choice on that regard...
>>3093761
So, you are saying we should get more Behemoths, White Veil Bioweapons and possible Megas for a coup? Because I'm all in for that plan.
>>
>>3093731
>That he's incredibly adorable. And hard to not desire to dissect and mount in her room.

Awww, so cute. Maybe the trying to not dissect us part, but I’m sure we can work on that.
>>
So, what’s everyone up to?
>Your team.
>Loudred
Is just happy you are alright, she also surprised herself during that fight against [Cubone-Mask] mons, she’s been forced to acknowledge her limits, so now she can start to work on modulating her strength. She was ready to fight until her last breath.

>Mimikyu.
Happy as a Shellder (clam?) that you are alright, doesn’t know what to do if you were gone. He’s still not completely okay with the whole Victoria deal. Watched over your sleep all night while talking to Kadabra about you and the nature of humans in general.
Won’t let you do any major cooking for your teammates and friends unless he’s watching over you.

>Houndour.
After being soundly defeated twice during the match with the revolutionary head, he’s indecisive between evolving to acquire newfound strength, or staying like this to mature a bit more.
The thought of his teammates and you if Loudred couldn’t bail him out of it, has made him realize something.

>Vulpix
Still wanted to use Kadabra’s plan to rescue you since she played a part in it. She didn’t really understand the gravity of the situation because of her sheltered life. She thought it was just another battle with some banter between humans.
Wants a wizard hat and a cape for her contest performance, and to just wear them.

>Prince
Was scared like never before at the training facility, still, he was ready to take a stand to try and save you if things went awry, he hugged tight onto you all night and didn’t let go until morning arrived.
>>
>>3093899
Travelling partners!

>Kadabra.
He had been monitoring your dreams last night, but there was something messing with his view of them, specially during the last moments of it. He just saw you adventures as a Meowstic and thought that they were right up your alley.
Been practicing some new moves on his own.

>Eli and her team.
Before going to the training facility to aid you, she was working on a bounty hunting assignment, some of the Pokémon at silverpoint passage where behaving strangely, more violent than usual, they were trying to kidnap trainers. She and other bounty hunters had to put a stop to them and rescue some missing persons.
She had a run in with Diane, the bounty hunter she met at Ibarra Village, their rivalry grows.
During the scuffle, Tremor finally managed to evolve, catching up to Jaws. He’s bigger, stronger and smugger now.

>Gareth and his team.
The older newbie-trainer has a newfound resolve to take his training more seriously, after seeing his team a bit stronger than before. Even if he’s got a long way to even get close to his companion’s level. He’s decided to get his first badge at Adage Village’s Gym.
He also met with Lydia the White Veil employee once again, she was a bit jealous of him spending so much time with Professor Maple, which led to them questioning what are they? They are still not sure.
Bug-man is happy for his friend, he’s looking better than before, and he himself feels a bit stronger, this can be said for the rest of his team as well.

Others!

>Dick and his team
After being severely beaten and humiliated by his brother, Richard went into the wilderness to strengthen his team and himself.
This made Alexandro the Bagon pretty mad as there was no internet connection to play online.
After having the truth about what the deal with Victoria is confirmed by Maximilian, he’s been searching for the objects necessary to close his connection with her.

>Kali and her team.
Salty at her loss in the contest, she’s been focusing on preparing her team of three for the Gym to come, feeling a tad confident in the typing advantage Growlithe and Pachi give her.
She’s also been gathering the materials necessary to close Richard’s connection wit her sister, and to make another two amulets to keep her away. Just in case.
Also, she got her hands on a Fire Stone.

>Your parents!
Have been sending messages and trying to call you like crazy after they heard what happened in Madeleine town, your name wasn’t mentioned in the news, but your maternal grandparents said that you were visiting town.
They are deeply worried about your wellbeing.

>Your Poké-friends + sis
Your sister told Murkrow about the situation at Madeleine, so he and Meowth been freaking out since then.

>The Arsonist
He’s feeling betrayed, but he did expect you to pull something like that. Still, he wanted to trust you to not do it, and felt moved when you couldn’t shoot.

Holding the governor for ransom, since the Blackstone berry farms are an important point for international commerce and the current governor facilitates their operations, he’s getting a pretty hefty sum of cash for him.
$2,500,000,000 Poké-dollars.

>Jeanne
Currently (unwilling) second in command of the Arsonist’s criminal group, she received her first task to plan the layout of their new base, as well as to be the caretaker of the Arsonist’s Litten while’s he’s away. Mareep is trying to support her emotionally.

She just wanted to see you again.

>Victoria.
She hopes you keep your word, that’s why she let [???] test you, to see your resolve. Not completely trustful of you yet, but she could be, with time.
She doesn’t want to let you go.

>Loudred I'm assuming is a pseudo-behemoth(I'm probably wrong about this)

If I had to hazard a guess, rather then a pseudo-behemoth, Loudred is likely a result of a specialized breeding program, conducted by White Veil. Running with prior evidence gleaned from extras and what we’ve observed in the main story so far, Loudred likely fled with a large group of other Whismur, led by a Loudred who assumedly facilitated the escape, from a laboratory similar in nature to the White Room, wherein breeding and combat tests for the purposes of producing high spec Pokémon were being conducted, though the facility they escaped from was probably intended for experimentation on Normal Types, rather then the Ice Type focus of the White Room. It would explain her unusually high overall stats, and possession of Hammer Arm. She was likely separated from the troupe at some point, probably accidentally, and as such wasn’t recaptured in the sting operation on the main group being protected by the Loudred, that was conducted by the Blackstone goons and headed by Eli’s father. After she was separated from her group, she eventually found her way into the shelter, where we met her. Now, this is pure speculation on my part, but I suspect that the White Veil employee we encountered in the woods, performing combat tests with those two Raticates, is related to the facility that Loudred and her compatriots escaped from. It would explain his recognition of her, and is reinforced in my mind by the fact that he was running tests on a pair of Normal Types. Of course, I could be wrong.

>tfw when you realize Arsonist's Primape might be the caged mankey from session one
>>
>>3095247
I believe we received confirmation that that particular Mankey was eventually put down by the shelter. It was too unruly to effectively keep contained, and they couldn't find a trainer for it.
>>
>>3095320
i know and i double checked but it was only implied that Percy assumed it had to be put down

also mediocre gave us this
>"There was a reason for this violent behavior, even worse than the one of a normal Mankey, but that would be spoilers"
>>
>>3095328
Hm, it’s likely to be that Mankey, then. Thought we got more solid confirmation, but has been quite some time now, so you’re probably right. I’d thought that there was some connection between that Mankey and the Arsonist’s Primaeape at the very least as well, but if it’s been left up in the air as to whether he actually got put down or not, then it being the very same Pokémon would make sense.
