Calm rules over the Wine-Dark Sea with a period of relative prosperity and trade ruling over the land. The venerable Ageta Agossos has passed away leading to a new round of elections within the Republic of Samir, the nations of Bojmor and Belinlos have created an uneasy alliance to defend against the aggression of the Republic and there are rumors of a great sea beast that has moved in the Wine-Dark Sea from the far south.

It appears E has the vote! How shall we change our legal which currently revolves around the Emperor or a Lord making a decision upon any crimes brought before him.
>>
>>3083769
Codify the legal system by writing down the laws on permanent documents.
>>
>>3083769
Have our wisest elders gather in Loslina. There, under the leadership of the priests and the king, they will seek to work out a slightly more advanced set of laws and forms of suitable punishments/fines.
This will all be written down.
Also, have the priests put in charge of passing judgement in most petty crimes, the emperor and lords should only need to concern themselves with the big stuff.

The Tablets of Law is created by the King and Council to be distributed to all corners of the Wine-Dark Empire, it is a fairly simple code but it cements in the protections people can expect from the Empire and helps curtail any local lords from abusing their power.

In other news the elections in Samir have turned to street violence as rival groups battle out for domination of polling stations, it seems to all have been set about by the domination of farmland by House Agossos.

Traders of the Sunset Imperium have also been absent this year.

It has become a practice for on a child's tenth birthday for them to be taken to the Temple of Galoris to be checked for magical abilities. It seems that one in every thousand holds the spark of the arcane being split roughly evenly for each sex. Those who do show this talent are coached by the few that already expressed talent and slowly their magical power improves.

In other news the riots in Samir have taken a bloody turn with an Agossos branch family in the city being butchered and raped within their villa along with anything of value being stolen. This has put the great families of the city into chaos as many flee to other holdings to avoid such a fate.

The Stormseer has also passed away with Eshmunazar of the Ruby Commune chosen as his successor.

Tommas begins to teach your mages and smiths the art of imbuing a item with runes. It is a long arduous process requiring both a male and female mage to pour their power into the item whilst it is being formed with the weakest runes requiring only a day while more powerful runes can require a month or even a year of channeling. He has taught you two runes, fire and sharpness.

Samir devolves into greater chaos with most of the upper class fleeing the city, mob justice and gang violence rule the city. The Jewel of the Coast has been turned into a scene of horror and carnage, however there are rumours that Thein Rayan is gathering forces in Bloodsoil to reclaim the city and restore order to the republic.

You fall on the creature with blades and nets tangling it's wings with ease! You stab, hack and slash into the creatures delicate flesh which does little to stop your blades. It's eyes are first to go as it has no time to react to your brutal assault. It barely even has time to scream as a dozen blades stab into it's throat. It only manages a single word before it has breathed it's last.

The hunt was a great success with the Beast of Copal being slain without a single man lost! Many men bring home all sorts of trophies and the Lightwatchers celebrate their might!

In other news Samir has been restored to a stage of calm with Thein Rayan being voted in as the new First-Citizen after apprehending the culprits that attacked his family. These men were none other then Lightwatchers under the command of Juul Dazkhod! Around fifty of his men were captured and have been paraded all around Samir with anti-Empire sentiment rising to an all new high! This is also the first time a Champion of a God has been elected First-Citizen!

With this news the Emperor has declared Juul Dazkhod an outlaw setting a large bounty on his head!

The King and Council decide on rigorous new naval training for the men, the Empire has no real chance of fighting the Samir on land so a strong navy is needed. Drills and wargames are planned and executed as the Lightwatchers show that they are truly masters of the sea.

In other news Juul Dazkhod was brought to justice by Donnis Seastorm and brought back to Loslina for execution along with several dozen of his followers.

A storm rages for several nights after your sacrifice with cracks of thunder ripping appart the sky. It is during this storm that the Stormseer is drawn from the temple his eyes glowing with unnatural light as he stares into the churning clouds! This is no natural storm but the work of Galoris herself, a lesson to be learned by her greatest disciples! The Stormseer has gained the ability “Summon Minor Storm”, this ability can only be used once a year and at great strain on the Stormseers body and mind.

In other news Samir has opened a new war against Bojmor and Belinlos, the new First-Citizen has but forward an aggressive expansionist policy in an effort to gain more farmland.

With the merchants of the Sunset Imperium you send a gift of fine jewelry, ornate weapons, furs and wine along with pleasant words of friendship. They return several months later with a message written on what they call “parchment”.

“The Grand Dragon King Eztli, Ruler of the Great River, Overlord of the Yazadan, Keeper of Forbidden Knowledge, Blood of the Heavens and Protector of all Men thanks you for your tribute and graciously accepts you as a vassal of the Sunset Imperium. As you are a simple people you will quickly learn that the tribute you sent was rather meager and in the future at least ten triremes of treasure will be sent each year.”

Have the crown invest handsomely in trade and increase taxes on merchants in general.

We'll make a load of money on trading with both sides of the war, then we'll use that money to hire a bunch of mercenaries that can help our men out with sacking samirtown next turn.

Hit the Samir with everything.
Also send envoys to Bojmor and Belinlos and inform them that it would greatly benefit the both of us if we were to coordinate our efforts.
Also send messengers to the sunset folks, tell them that we need all our ships for this war and we'd be most grateful for their benevolent assistance against the samir menace.

The Samir have agreed to meet you on Olaz, to discuss terms of a military alliance. They are rightfully wary of you but are neither less intrigued by the idea of being able to redeploy many of their troops deployed in the area for your expected attack.

A small table along with several chairs are set upon a hill which overlooks the city of Olaz. The man they have sent to speak to you is an old grizzled war veteran with a scar that runs across his face. He is simple and blunt asking what concessions you want for this alliance.
