We play as Percival Williams a socially awkward Pokémaniac with a knack for communicating with Pokémon.
He's on his way to become a professional trainer and find his calling in life.

Your team so far consists of:
Houndour
Mimikyu
Loudred
Vulpix (Alolan)
“Prince” (Elekid)

Traveling partners:
Kadabra: A teleporting friend.
Eli: A punkish girl who aims to be the next regional Pokémon champion

Gareth: 20 something college dropout who’s starting his Journey a bit too late

Status:
-Left Arm: Still Broken
-Helping out a murderous psychic entity that visit our brain from time to time.

Last time:
Percival finally started training his team again, met a forgotten girl from his past, worked for one of the biggest companies in the country to train some flying types, had to fight against terrorists alongside a mentally unstable self-proclaimed best friend, had a standoff with said person and backed off at the last moment. Then took a nap and delved into his mindscape as a Meowstic on a Rescue Team searching for a representation of the psychic who’s been invading his mind. After defeating a strange entity at the cost of his friend lives, he finally met her and decided to help her out of the lab she’s being held.

Monday. 7th day of your journey.

The wind blows in the green landscapes that surround you, in the distance you can see several mountains that surround your destination.
The heat of the sun is not suffocating like in the desert, in change, it is a pleasant feeling encamped by the summer breeze.
Once you recomposed, you proceeded to help with the food. Even if Mimikyu would not let you do much, fearful that you would somehow intoxicate everyone.

Before anyone looks, you decide to see if you gained any Psychic abilities from your encounter with “The Beast” yesterday, you concentrate on rock nearby the size of your palm, clearing your head of any other thoughts, visualizing the rock moving upwards….

It’s moving! It’s moving! You made the thing float!

[Victoria]: I made the thing float. You are welcome.
“So, I don’t got any psychic thingies now?”
[Victoria]: No, your brain doesn’t seem fit for it

You feel a slight disappointment.

[Victoria]: I could ask my father to perform one of his experimental surgeries on you.

[Victoria]: But the survival rate is null, that’s why he stopped that project.

[Victoria]: It is easier to communicate with you. But that is probably on my part…

>Is now bit easier to communicate with Victoria.
You sit do with your companions around the campfire.
The egg sandwich Mimikyu made is pretty damn good, Gareth is currently in tears of joy, since it’s the first time in long time he eats a breakfast like this. “It feels like home” he exclaims while e tries to not wet his meal with his tears. You are grateful to have bought those ingredients and spices for Mimikyu back at Madeleine.

Adage Village is a couple of days of travel ahead, if you hurry things up, even while training in the morning, you should be able to arrive tomorrow night or by Wednesday morning.

Mimikyu is currently busy trying to improve the flavor of the food of his teammates, as well as Gareth and Eli’s team, at bequest of Vulpix, he only agreed because he really likes to cook.
>>

After this meal, both Eli and Gareth are going to train for a bit, and you should as well, if you want to see some progress with your team you need to be constant with your training. You need to become stronger to face the challenges that will approach you soon.

Your phone is currently brimming with messages and calls from your parents and sister, asking if you are alright, they seem to have caught wind of what happened at Madeleine with the revolutionaries, but they don’t know how involved you were.

Regarding your family. You should tell them…
>Tell them you are alright, you already left Madeleine when that happened.
>You were close by, they are blowing this out of proportion, it wasn’t anything too dangerous.
>Tell them the whole truth, that you fought the revolutionaries with The Arsonist and he took Jeanne and the governor.
>Other/ write-in.

And regarding your traveling companions.
>Hey, do any of you know how to use a gun? (Show them your “memento” of yesterday)
>Did anything strange happen last night while I was asleep?
>Tell them about Victoria (Everything)
>Tell them about your apparent Doppelganger, so they can be on the lookout for anybody that looks like you.

I'm shocked we managed to hold onto that thing between the police and being caught in a manmade mudslide. Not that I'm complaining.

You respond to your family telling them you are safe and sound. That you’ve already left for Adage Village when the revolutionaries took control of the installations. They seem relieved after seeing your answer. Your father answering you almost instantly.

“Just be safe out there champ, Who knows what this wackos are capable of doing”
“Try to keep yourself distanced from anything too dangerous, take care son”
“Don’t make murkrow or meowth worried bro! Nor me, let us now u are safe from time to time, ok?”

You feel a bit bad lying to them, but it’s for the better. No need to make them worry even more.

As you finish your breakfast, you rummage trough you bag to retrieve something. The gun you got yesterday. Nonchalantly you take it out and show it to your traveling partners.

Percy: Hey, do any of you know how to use one of these?

Eli is taken back by the surprise and almost chokes on her food. Gareth seems more intrigued than anything.

Eli: (coughing) When did you get a gun!?
[Eli]: Why do you still have it? Didn’t the police took you for questioning?

[Kadabra]: I hid it with my teleportation the moment we got out of the training facility.
[Kadabra]: Alongside your other “Illegal Items”.

Oh right, the cracked mega stone and Abomasite, you could go to jail if they found those. Not sure how severe is too be carrying a gun though.

After explaining how you got it past the police, Eli seems a bit calmer. She’s still a bit shocked about the gun.

Percy: It is really so strange? I’m pretty sure your dad carries around bigger eh, guns than this one.

[Eli]: Yeah! My dad! It’s just fucking bizarre to see you weirdo with a piece.

[Gareth]: Hey, can I see that for a moment?

You hand the older trainer the firearm as he starts to examine it. “Semi-automatic SEED, 9mm, good stopping power, 12 rounds. Wow, definitely needs some cleaning….” As he goes about, you and Eli look at him flabbergasted.

[Gareth]: Oh, sorry, my old man used to take me out to the range form time to time, and this is the kind of model he carried around in the force.

>Dispose of the gun

You tell Gareth to teach you how to use the firearm properly, maybe that way, you won’t let what happened yesterday with the Arsonist happen again.

Gareth seems a bit unsure, but looking at your team and thinking about it for a moment, he agrees. “If you can handle Pokémon you probably can handle this” he wants to wait for your arm to heal though, making a complete newbie try to shoot with only one arm is not a good idea.
Speaking of your arm, it’s feeling way better, that *heal pulse* did wonders to speed up your recovery, if you don’t yourself any further you may be fully healed up by tomorrow.
>Gareth will teach you to use the gun as soon as you can fully move your other arm.

He also suggest you get a license to carry firearms once you get the chance, he’s got one and you shouldn’t have any trouble to get your own. Since you don’t have any criminal records. Unlike others.

[Eli]: I don’t need a gun, we can kick ass without one!

[i][Jaws]: I’M A WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION [i]

Eli makes sure you don’t skip on your training session. After working with your mons, and doing some sparring with your traveling partners and all the normal, grass, bug and flying types nearby you are ready to pack things up and continue on your journey! Your team is slowly but surely doing some progress, you should start seeing some progress after another training session

Vulpix seems intrigued by the ample green pastures, she wants to explore a bit before you go “I’m just giving you a heads up trainer” She seems decided to explore.

>Let her, you’ll have Kadabra teleport her with you once she’s done

You decide accompany Vulpix on a walk, hurrying it up you start to pack your things up and soon join her, taking care of maintaining enough distance to not make her feel she’s being watched over.

You let her curiosity guide her as she roams the land. Meanwhile you enjoy the sights, the peaceful pastures where groups of Rapidash throttle around. Tauros standing proudly near the mountains.

Hoothoots and Noctowl resting peacefully on the trees, while the Fletchings and Pidgeots soar the bright blue sky. The sound of nearby bug type. You try to gather some data with hour Pokedex of the nearby Pokémon but is hard to not get caught up on the view.

the little Ice type as she carefully approaches every new thing, she’s sniffing a mature berry that just fell from the ground before something else catches her attention, a group of fire type Vulpix.

“Look trainer! They are real! The red Vulpix are real!”

You can help but laugh at her reaction, despite her troublesome personality there’s an air of innocence to her, that reminds you just how young she is. All of your team is, the older ones are Kadabra and Houndour, and the two of them aren’t “adults” yet.

It’s rare to get one on one tine with any of your team members since you are always with all of them, maybe you should address something with her.

>Her little “crush” on Houndour
>Does she misses home?
>Her bullying of Prince
>Why do you keep calling me “trainer”?

She may be a handful sometimes, but you think she’s doing good. She may be troublesome to the other members but is nothing too serious, maybe that’s her way to get closer to them, Pokémon can be competitive by nature, besides she’s still young and the journey is just starting, may as well enjoy these peaceful times with her.

You crouch and extend your healthy arm to her.
”What are you doing trainer?” the small Ice type questions you, while she smells the fresh grass.

”I thought you may get a better view of things up there, you can lead the way if you want”

Vulpix doesn’t waste any time to take on your offer, quickly climbing trough your arm and onto your functioning shoulder, you stand up, being careful of not dropping her. You can feel her cool fur near your face as she finds the best position to accommodate herself.

” Move forward trainer! And do it fast! ” You are happy to oblige, you spend your time chasing around different types of mons, stalking around Vulpix’s fire type variants who she still can’t believe are real, quietly creeping around the sleeping bug types so you and your teammate can get a closer look at them.

She seems really happy, enjoying herself. You finish off by carefully climbing on of the mounds nearby. From the uppermost part, you can spy your traveling partners and the rest of your team ready to depart. Vulpix’s involuntary let’s her head rest against yours, nuzzling. She seems to enjoy being pet, probably due to her group at the White Room being originally bred as pets.

>Vulpix feels a little bit closer to you.

There are other things you notice, on the opposite side of the field, there’s a battle going on between two trainers, one looks like Dick, but older, smugger and like a complete shitbag.

It’s Maximiliam who seems to be in the process of decimating a familiar bounty hunter, the girl you met back at Ibarra Village who got in a fight with Eli. She’s losing pretty badly, her Breloom being pummeled by the older trainer’s Eelektross. Besides that, you can hear an intense “buzzing” coming from somewhere, you are not sure where, but’s it’s starting to hear louder and louder, it’s not weird for Bug-Types to be around here, after all, Adage Village is pretty close to an ample marsh where they proliferate.

You could either return with your traveling companions while you are in range or let them now you are staying here for a bit with Vulpix and check out the other things.

>Check out the Buzzing.

With the Pokedex in hand you try to scan all around your for any Pokémon to no avail, but you can still hear the buzzing, it comes and goes, as if it were flying pass by you.

it’s not the first time you heard such sound, it’s definitely a bug-type, and there seems to be accompanied by the sound of wings flapping at extreme speeds. Judging by the potency of the sound, and since it must be far away, and considering its speediness, it’s definitely a Yanmega!

Once you’ve reached this conclusion you can feel something grab onto your shirt and arms, six obscure colored, sturdy legs envelope you and press your body. The Bug Type Pokémon starts to fly up again, now with both you and Vulpix, your team is too far away to recall on to their Pokéballs o alert them of your situation.

The Bug type starts to move away from the mound, your body is trapped in it’s grasp and the only one near you is Vulpix.

What should you do?

>The Yanmega is not taking Vulpix with him! Tell her to jump down while she can and alert the others.

>Talk things out!

As the Yanmega starts to fly away from the mount, your feet dangling on the air, if he were to let you go, you would fall a good distance until you hit the ground, painfully, probably fatally too.

[Percy]: Hey! Mr. Yanmega! Could you consider letting us go? Maybe if you could tell me why where you going to take us, I may come up with a solution.

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* Silence Human! You don’t have a say in this, I need to pay my daily tribute *BUZZ*

[Yanmega]:*BUZZ* Wait, did you just speak as one of us? *BUZZ*

[Vulpix]: You bet he did, you big disgusting bug thing! Now let us go!

[Percy]: There’s no need to insult him Vulpix, I’m sure we can come to an agreement. You said something about us being tribute right? So we are not food for you?

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* That’s correct human, we, marsh-dwellers must offer tribute to our *QUEEN*, or we will be eaten. As a “Master” I figured out you had various “Servants” with you, so I could save me the job of hunting down tributes for her. *BUZZ*

[Vulpix] :Why are you telling us this?

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ*I feel partly guilty for this, I do not wish to harm others unnecessarily, but I can’t go against the QUEEN orders. *BUZZ*

>You see, I don’t have my full team with me, if you were to get me a bit closer to them, I could get them in their Pokéballs. (Convince him of flying near your team so they can help you out) (Needs roll.)

>"What if I can talk to the Queen and offer her some of my food as tribute in your place?"

The QUEEN sounds similar to a couple of mons you’ve encountered before, apparently voracious appetite, subjects that serve them, other Pokémon acknowledge her as an authority and something different for her species. Sounds like a Behemoth. If she’s like the YELLOW KING, you may have the opportunity to make a powerful ally. Let’s just hope she’s not like the man eating MOTHER.

[Percy]: Alright, hear me out. What if you let me talk to the Queen and offer her some of my food as tribute in your place?"

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* How much food are we talking about?BUZZ*

[Percy]: Enough to feed 6 Pokémon for a couple of days.

[Yanmega]:*BUZZ* That seems sufficient, I shall take the food. But why would you desire to talk to the QUEEN? *BUZZ*

[Vulpix]: Yeah! He could had just let us go!

[Percy]: I think it could be good for us in the future, we might make a powerful alliance?

[Yanmega]:*BUZZ* Suit yourself human! I shall take you with the other Tribute! *BUZZ*

Using it’s Speed Boost, the Yanmega starts to accelerate more and more, you tell him to let you return Vulpix to her Pokéball so she can be safe, he agrees.

You can catch a brief glimpse of your traveling partners and your team in the ground, they seem to be looking for you, the last thing you can see is Eli pointing to the Yanmega.

The air is cold up here and traveling at high speeds just makes it chillier. You see the green pastures and hills as you pass them by, flying over the rocky formations and mountains that surround the marsh and Adage Village, you get a glimpse of the rural settlement before descending down into the *Croaking Marsh*.

The Yanmega drops you down in one of the drier parts of the place and pushes you into a small wooden cell. Guarding it, there’s younger looking Yanma. Inside of the cell, there’s a blonde girl wearing glasses, her blue garment dirtied by the mud surrounding her. She seems to be muttering to herself, maybe she’s planning to escape?

[Yanma]: *BUZZ* You got another Human? I know the QUEEN specifically asked us to bring humans, but Isn’t two a bit too much? *BUZZ*

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* He isn’t a tribute, he wants to speak with the QUEEN, he’s got enough food to serve as tribute for days. *BUZZ*

[Yanmega]:*BUZZ* Sorry human, you must remain in here until the hour to give tribute begins, for your safety. Other Pokémon might want to entrap you and use you as their offerings, and they may not be as persuasible as me. *BUZZ*

With that said the Yanmega goes out, he has to forage food for himself and the younger Yanma, they seem to be kin.

The young girl in blue seems disheartened and frustrated by your arrival.

Kali:You have to be kidding me.

You are awkwardly sitting across the primitive jail petting Vulpix. Kali is currently walking around the short space of the cage, pulling her hair out of frustration while mumbling “Why Him? Why, of all the trainers in Aztlan him? I’ll take Eli, even Dick! Is this a cruel joke God?”. You know things between you and her haven’t been the best, but maybe you could help her calm down.

“No, maybe, this is happening for a reason, okay, this isn’t so bad, you still can do this.” She keeps mumbling to herself. See? Even she is beginning to accept it! Even though it sounds more like she’s deluding herself that everything is alright.

You decide to try and help her calm her nerves.

[Percy]: Heeeeeey, Kali. You, don’t worry! Ehm, girl! I have a plan to get us out of here faster than an Accelgor!

She stops her rambling to look at you with a tired expression. She seems fed up with something.

[Percy]: Well not that fast, once an Accelgor shed it’s armor it can move at incredible speeds! A professionally trained Accelgor may go up to 200 mph during a battle! Even though the can’t conserve that speed for long, did you know the fastest Accelgor recorded, could run to the speed of….

[Kali]: Shut up, j-just, shut up for a second. I’m thinking here.

She takes a deep breath before continuing, she has her hand in her forehead as a sign of frustration.

[Kali]: (Sigh) Just tell me your stupid plan.

You tell Kali about your encounter with Yanmega and how you scheduled a meeting with the Queen in exchange for the food.

[Kali]:Alright, then, how are you gonna convince her of letting us go? We are still technically in her power and you already gave away our bargaining chip.

[Percy]:I’m still not sure, I was thinking I could come up with something while talking with her!

[Kali]:

[Kali]: Fuck it.

[Kali]:I don’t care if I show you, I’m breaking us out of here.

The girl seems to be concentrating on something out of the cage, a bag, must be hers judging by the K engraved on it. Is she trying to drag it here with her abilities? You can see the thing twitch.

[Percy]:Oh, you mean your psychic powers?

You say unintentionally, before biting your tongue, making the girl lose her concentration.

[Kali]:Percival, what did you just say?

[Percy]: Eh.. I meant, PSYCHE! Icky ehm, powers. Cause, you are icky. And, just… ah shit.

[Kali]:… I

[Percy]:Ok Kali, I know we don’t like each other, but you gotta trust me on this one? It’s not the first time I do this, I had a run in with a similar giant Pokémon with tons of servants and now I’m raising it’s child.

[Kali]: So, I should trust you cause you are a Pokémon nanny?

[1/2]
>>
>>3101163

[Percy]:No, you should, because I’ve gotten out of this situation like this before. Alright? Just give me a chance.

She seems pensive for a moment, she seems a bit conflicted, but finally she…

[Kali]: Ok, let’s do this. I’m still getting my team, in case your poke-whispering fails.

She agreed?!

[Victoria]: Hug her.

“Don’t push it Vicky!” You mentally respond to the psychic.

You keep your mouth shut so the girl can succeed on getting her team back with her. She takes her bracelet off from her wrist. Her eyes glow faintly as the bag starts to float and slowly drag towards the cage. She’s having a lot of trouble with it, even though the bag doesn’t seem particularly heavy.

Thankfully, there was an invisible psychic hand to help her out.
She made you promise to not tell absolutely anyone about this or she’ll ruin you.

Meh, duly noted.

Before Kali gets a chance to put her bracelet back, something seems to take hold of her. She stares at you with a vacant look.

[Victoria]: If you wont’. Then take my hand. Before she takes control again.

Anon... I think you are missing several points here.
Okay, forget the handholding meme, I have to make things clear here.
When I made my write-in saying "trust me on this, I'll show you a way" the other day, I was including trusting our judgement, which is most of the time MUCH better than Victoria's. We have to make it clear for her that it's bad to possess someone without a good reason, even if it's just for something silly, because she has NO sense of morals or ethics.

For fucks sake, this isn't some life or death situation where we have to show how strong our bonds are.

>Comply with the Psychic.

It’s a bit weird, but well, she isn’t hurting anyone right? You are just humoring a little whim of her, besides you want to show her you trust. Still…
It’s weird, even for you.

You get closer to Kali/Victoria, and with a little you softly touch her hand. You can’t help but feel embarrassed.

[Victoria]: You…still feel so warm. And so, does she…

It seems like her control over her sister slipped, and in a moment Kali’s suddenly back in control, her expression changes to one of complete confusion as you quickly move your hand back to you and take some steps back. Kali seems confused, but she doesn’t push the issue, believing it’s just your “natural weirdness”

You, on the other hand. Feel a bit dirty. And sad.

Vulpix notices your flustered self and questions you.

[Vulpix]: What’s wrong trainer?
[Percy]: That was my first…

[Vulpix]: Huh?

[Percy]: That was my first time holding hands with a girl…

[Vulpix]: Are you serious? Your such a kid trainer.

Now, onto more serious concerns…

After a while, Yanmega finally returns to escort you through the Croaking alongside Kali.

The place is pretty ample, brimming with different types of bug types, as well as poison types, grass types and various water types acclimated to these conditions. The heat surrounding you is humid and uncomfortable. You are carrying Vulpix in your shoulder again, as she doesn’t want to get dirty this early.

While you walk trough a particularly desolate area of the Croaking Marsh, Kali leans over you to whisper something.

[Kali]: I’m not really liking this

[Percy]: Really? I mean, I guess a marsh may not look pretty at first, but just look at all these kinds of different mons you won’t find living together nowhere else! I just saw some Poliwags playing around with a Tangela and…

[Kali]:Get your mind off those critters for a second and listen to me. I’m not liking this whole, giant Vespiqueen demanding tributes.

[Kali]:The coast is clear, I got Arcanine fully healed in my bag, I could let him out, we climb onto him and make our way too Adage Village. You in?

>Don’t do anything rash. But, keep your mons ready, you aren’t so sure about this. (Be on the lookout for anything weird, may cause you to act nervous and jumpy with the Queen.)

You tell Kali to not do anything rash, but to keep her mons ready for anything. Just in case things don’t go as you plan. To be honest, you are feeling a little nervous.

After a lot of walking through shallow waters you are finally in the deepest part of the marsh, surrounded by tall trees that impede the sunlight from entering. Instead torches have been arranged around the area. It seems to be a pathway towards the QUEEN.

The path towards her is heavily guarded, Scolipede, Escavalier, Pinsir, tons of Combee and other Bug Type mons, and even some humans, but the people here, seem quite strange.

Sitting on a throne made out there she is. A Humongous Vespiqueen. You can feel your Pokédex vibrate, seems like it’s registering something.

Yanmega and Yanma are carrying all of your Poké-Kibble. They offer it humbly to the serious Queen sitting on her throne. She takes a glance at it, and with a gesture she accepts it, the pair of Pokémon may remain in the marsh. But it’s not only them that are offering tributes, different kind of Bug Types gather around her, offering her all kind of things. Loads of berries, the bodies of different Pokémon they’ve hunted, and even, some live trainers who are either shaking on her booths or unconscious.

One Surskit comes near her, with only a measly two and a half Razz berries, she pleads to her QUEEN, telling her that it was the only food she could forage, but that next time she’ll definitely bring a bigger tribute next time.

[THE QUEEN]: There won’t be a next time

The Vespiquen gives and order and the Surskit is promptly surrounded by a group of Ariados, the Surskit tries to move past them but she’s detained by her attacker’s string shot. Her moves slow down as the Arachnids shoot more and more silk onto her body. She’s completely immobilized.

[THE QUEEN]: Prepare her for execution.

The subjects of the Queen comply, handing the Surskit to an Escavalier, who readies his lance to pierce the Surksit body in one swift strike as soon as his Queen commands it.

[THE QUEEN]: Bring the *Masters* forth

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* My Queen! Excuse me, but this pair of humans aren’t tributes, the one in red, he brought the bountiful food we offer you today! He can speak our language, and he wishes to talk to you. *BUZZ*

[THE QUEEN]: A man who understand us? Let him pass.

The pair of Escavalier standing between the Queen and her subjects retire their lances, letting you pass through. You try to swallow your nervousness.

[THE QUEEN]: Why do you seek audience with me, young human?

[THE QUEEN]: Speak now, or you’ll be joining the ranks of my soldiers, along the other *Masters*

You take a knee in a sign of respect towards the Bug monarch.

[QUEEN]: A human who recognizes my position, intriguing.

The Queen communicates mostly by motions and gestures. So you should respond in a similar manner, show what that you are the real deal. Standing up, and starting to move around in circular and zig-zagging motions while buzzing.
To the untrained eye, you may look like you are just staggering like a drunkard while buzzing. But, you are carefully imitating the way Combee communivate, every movement is crucial and planned ahead!

[Percy]: Queen of this Marsh, I am Percival Williams Envoy of the Behemoth of Thunder, entrusted with his son whose name is Prince.

[QUEEN]: It’s been years since I’ve heard those terms, Envoy, Behemoth…
[QUEEN]:Human you’ve captured my attention. Voice your concerns. I shall lend you some of my time.

[Percy]: I mean the no harm, I was only passing through these lands, and only wish to take my companions with me, if there is something you with further as the tribute, I may be able to provide it.

[Percy]:And If I dare, I shall offer a bit of advice.

[Escavalier]: You lowly human dare to think you know better than our QUEEN? It’s a mockery and you deserved to be punished!

[QUEEN]: Let him finish.

You go on about to explain the Queen that having all of her subjects providing tribute daily may not be the best way to procure food, suggesting that maybe she could consider a schedule of sorts to prevent over hunting. Or maybe she could get her subjects to farm berries, she got plenty of land afterall.

Even though you don’t know anything about cultivating crops! You know how to take care og Grass types but not of actual plants. Your maternal grandfather was the one who’s good with that and you never really listened to him because of his troublesome personality while addressing you.

[1/2]
>>
>>3102175

[QUEEN]: These suggestions have piqued my interest. I can see why another being such as myself has appointed you as his servant.

[QUEEN]: But, there’s more pressing matters at hand. The humans have put a price on my head, they are preparing to dethrone me and enslave me. Sending strong *Masters* after me.

[QUEEN]: Such a foolish notion, I’m a being fit to rule over others.

[Percy]: Why would they behave in such an irrational way?

[QUEEN]: They trespassed my territory, young *Masters* got close to my lands. I issued the correspondent punishment.

[QUEEN]: After weeping their foolish demises they’ve been sending stronger *Masters* after me. And I have a reason to believe a large group of them will be heading this way in the following days.

[QUEEN]:That’s why I’ve been getting *Masters* of my own.

The Queen points to the humans behind her, sporting vacant stares.

[QUEEN]: You have a way with words young Envoy, so I shall ask of you a favor, to prove yourself harmless.

[QUEEN]: Either, convince the humans to stop these foolish attacks on my regal person.

[QUEEN]: Or trick more *Masters* into entering my domains, bring them to me. I’ll turn them into my soldiers.

[QUEEN]: I shall let you go to do my bidding, but I may keep something to assure your return.

The Queen looks at Vulpix and Kali.

The Queen trusts you, lowering her guard around you
She wants you to bring other *Masters* here to become her soldiers. Or get rid of the bounty on her head.
You must leave something behind.

[Percy]: You are staying Vulpix, I don’t think I can leave Kali alone, she may try to do something

The little Ice Type turns her head towards the ground, she seems disappointed, angry.

[ [Vulpix]: So you are leaving ME behind, cause you think I’m a liability, you think I’m too weak to be useful.

[Percy]:It’s not like that Vulpix, don’t worry I’ll be back here as soon as I can.

[Vulpix]: Whatever, I wouldn’t have been of much help anyway. Just go. Don’t worry, I won’t try anything dumb. I can’t do anything anyway.

She’s still pissed at you, but not angry enough to try and lash out against the Queen soldiers.

The Queen let’s you and Kali go to do her bidding. She tells you where you can lead the *Masters* so her soldiers can get the drop on them and capture them.

Kali seems confused as to why you left Vulpix, and about everything that happened back there. So, you explain the situation to her, somebody had to stay back. She seems surprised and preoccupied by the Queen actions.

The Yanmega who brought you to the Marsh guides you and Kali towards the exit of the Croaking Marsh and give you directions towards Adage Village.

He still doesn’t understand what you were trying to accomplish by talking to the Queen. Once you are far away Kali let’s out her now evolved Arcanine, it’s big enough for the two of you to ride. Once he takes notices of you, he seems to involuntarily wag his tail. He seems glad to see you “Look Young Master, I’ve become even stronger now!” Kali tells her Pokémon to keep it quiet and get them to the village.

Kali is still sporting that confused look on her face when she glances towards your direction.

[Percy]: Why do you keep looking at me like that?

[Kali]: I’m just surprised you let her behind instead of me, considering, well, who you are.

You and Kali ride the Arcanine as you get closer to the Village, maybe Kali’s mon could pick the scent of your teammates if you get a little closer.

You are surprised by her answer, you didn’t thought she had it in her but maybe she’s not so bad!

[Kali]:We could’ve gotten out of there sooner if you just let me use my Arcanine to get us out of there! But nooo, let’s give the mind controlling Queen of bugs a chance!

[Percy]: Hey I didn’t know she was like that.

[Kali]:She was forcing Pokémon to bring her tribute like some power hungry monarch.

The Arcanine suddenly comes to a halt.

[Arcanine]: Stop your bickering or we are not going anywhere!

With that being said, the reminder of the trip was spent in silence.

>Failed the DC.

As you arrive into the town Arcanine starts to sniff around the place using *Odor Sleuth*, trying to find the scents of your team to no avail.

He says that hey must not be in town, and are probably too far away for his nose to detect them, still there's a strange smell coming from the mountains surrounding the Village, a mixture of different types of Pokémon, most of them are different from the ones you could find in this place, and a smell similar to yours.

The source is probably your team, and your traveling companions. They must be up in te mountains, if you were to search for them it could take you almost the whole day, even with the help of Arcanine.

You try to contact them to no avail, seems like they got no service up there.

As a side note, the small village is brimming with people! Trainers from all across the regions, they seem to be gathering around the Capture And Defense Outpost. Could all of them be bounty hunters? Seems like there's some sort of event going on.

And the locals don't seem to pleased about it. The mostly indigenous population of Adage Village looks at the trainers with disgust. Some of the younger people living here are picking up fights with the trainers, they seem to be part of a group of sorts, maybe a gang? they want to drive the visitors out of town.

Now, what should you do?

>Ask Kali for help to get into the mountains to find your friends, she owes you for getting her out of there.
>You'll go to the Capture and Defense post alone and trick some poor souls into becoming Vespiquen's slaves.
>You'll go into the mountains to look for your teammates, alone.

Now we are in a fork that I'm not sure even Percy can fix with his Poke-Diplomacy.

Help the Queen and enslave random trainers, or attack the Behemoth Queen, after all the talk about us being an Envoy and coming in peace.

If only we could find our friends and teleport Vulpix to safety & leave, but that would be betrayal as well...
>>
>>3102735
I mean, there is the third option of 'convince the locals to stay the hell out of the marshes' that might be a cleaner way of handling things. Not sure how successful we would be in that regard, but it's certainly an option provided to us.
>>
>>3102742
Yeah I thought we could convince people to leave the queen alone?
>>
>>3102783
You know she kind of has a bunch of people enslaved? People with families and such.
>>
>>3102791
Yes, but the only reason she enslaved those people was because she’d caught wind of the huge bounty on her head, and knew that she’d have to face a large number of bounty hunters as a result. If we can convince them to call off the bounty, she’ll probably release the people she has under her thrall.
>>
>>3102678
>You’ll go into the Capture and Defense Post, and try to speak with the head authority there about the situation.

If we can inform them of the Queen’s disinterest in harming people who don’t stray into her territory, and about the fact that she, effectively speaking, has a number of people hostage that would come into the line of fire if they were to send people off in pursuit of her, they’re liable to call off the bounty, especially if we can tell them that we can get the Queen to release her enslaved trainers and to stop abducting people and Pokémon as long as they don’t stray too far into her territory if they call the bounty off.

>>
>>3102818
Oh yeah, and

>Screw Kali, you did the best you could.

Just because we don’t have her brand of uncaring disregard for the lives of others doesn’t mean we’re in the wrong here. If we just ran away and left things as they were it’s likely that both the Queen’s enslaved trainers and a large number of the Bounty hunters would die in the ensuing conflict. As things stand, we’re in a position to prevent the entire affair from taking place, save the lives of the enslaved trainers, prevent future tension between the Queen and Adage village, and get in good with another Behemoth on top of that. It’s unfortunate we had to damage the goodwill we only just accumulated with Vulpix, but we should be fine to smooth things over, once we get the chance to talk with her again.

>Not like that, never like that!

Kali has no right to complain about your actions, you did the best you could to get the two of you out of here without putting yourself in danger. She doesn’t know what she’s dealing with, you do.

You tell Kali to drop you off in the Capture and Defense Post, there’s a way to solve this without having to resort to conflict, you are sure that if you convince the authorities of this place to remove the bounty off the QUEEN, she’ll free the enslaved trainers.

You slide off the Arcanine with little difficulty. The place is just brimming with people, they all seem anxious for something. It’s hard to make heads of tails of the situation with the multitude of people surrounding you.

“So, why did you come here for?” You explain your plan to Kali, find someone that can remove that bounty of her and convince him, she doesn’t seem completely on board with it. Not like your need her approval, or assistance. You can do this alone.

[Kali]:Honestly Percival, I’ll just leave it to the Professionals, this should resolve itself alone. Just get your Vulpix via teleportation with Kadabra or something.

She takes out her phone and shows you the official page of the C&D forces, there’s an ad calling all bounty hunters above Rank 4 to the *Croaking Marsh* to help in a joint effort with the C&D forces and Blackstone security group to participate in an operation this Wednesday.

[Percy]: I think I can prevent this, there’s no need for more conflict.

[Kali]:Then, have fun wasting your time. I need to go somewhere.

[Percy]: Where are you going?

[Kali]:To get your stupid friends and critters to the village, you idiotic mess! Now don’t go dying!

With that words being said, the girl rides on her Arcanine towards the mountains. Sheesh, what a bitch.

With that being done, you get closer to the entrance, there’s tons of bounty hunters discussing strategies to deal with the mons of the Marsh. While the louder and rasher of the villagers are complaining about their presence, telling them to get on with it already so they can leave as soon as they can. Some of them are saying that this mess is all Blackstone and WhiteVeil fault and that they should be sending real agents instead of just hiring “half-baked amateurs”.

You hurriedly go past the door behind the man and make your way into the military post.

You are in.

There are various halls painted with different shades of green, seems like most members are busy preparing for the raid this Wednesday.
You walk with a quick stride, as confidently as you can, like if you’d belong here. Still, you get some curious looks from the members of the C&D posts, could it be your broken arm? Bright red shirt sporting a Charizard logo instead of a military uniform? your obvious 15 years of age? Nah. You just need to walk more confidently! Besides, they are too busy to worry about you!

You finally reach a door that catches your attention “Lt. Marie Verdanza” you guess she must have a rank below Kali’s old man, C.G Orizaba. Wait, that’s the gym leader!

You peek towards inside the door, there’s a green haired woman sitting on the desk reviwin different papers, she looks really stressed.

“God dammit, what are these guys thinking? There’s too many complaints from the people, and I can’t ask for them to send reinforcements or we’ll have to delay this further”
“I had to close the Gym for this, I need to get there as soon as I can, got so many appointments with trainers for gym battles, dammit, I need to check on the nature preserve too”
“You should had listened to pops, stay in the academy, focus on rising through the ranks, get yourself a husband, but no, you wanted to be a Gym Leader”
“Calm yourself, can’t show any weakness to your subordinates, nor the locals, nor Blackstone, nor all these bounty hunters.”

Her slight hint of determination de inflates on an instant as she lets her head hit the desk

“I need a drink.”

You steel yourself to be concise and get to the point quickly, there’s urgent matters at hand.
But, without any Pokémon by your side, and being presented with a stressed out figure of authority is hard to avoid old habits.

[Percy]: You know, Pokémon subjected to intense stress can show augmented battle prowess and physical capabilities, both in nature and official matches, *Frustration* is the greatest proof of this, even with their vastly varying physiology the psychosomatic effect is still present in most Pokémon, with few exclusion.

[Lt. Verdanza]: How did you get here?!

[Percy]:You seem like you could use a really powerful *frustration* right now. Sadly, we humans can't learn moves from TM.

[Percy]:I wish I could, Then I could spew Toxins, or move at blinding speeds and create afterimages of me.

The woman in charge looks at you dumbfounded.

How do you want to go over this?

You show the Gym Leader that your abilities are the real deal by talking to her Tropius and revealing her strange home habits that now one else has seen besides her Pokémon, like her love for Seedot plushies and reading her own poems to her plants so they grow big and healthy.

The flustered woman seems more than convinced that you are the real deal! You take your time to explain the whole situation of the QUEEN to her. Slowly but surely, you seem to be convincing her.

[Lt. Verdanza]: You are aware that she’s a dangerous Pokémon that killed two young trainers your age, just because they came near her territory, and has continuously kidnapped local and passing trainers which, according to you, are all safe and sound?

[Percy]: Well, I don’t think she directly, ehm, disposed of them. It was just a misunderstanding, I’m sure that if you lift this bounty off her and establish some on the Marsh so no one else trespasses her territory, she’ll stop all of this and release al the other *Masters*, I mean trainers!

[Lt. Verdanza]: You are completely sure of this?

[Percy]: She just captured them, so she could defend herself, there’s no reason why she would keep them! I just want to avoid any unnecessary conflict, people and Pokémon may get seriously hurt, even perish, if this continues.

The Queen never said something about releasing them but you are positive she will after knowing she's not in danger.

[Lt. Verdanza]: Kneeling to the wishes of Pokémon… I too want to protect them, that’s why I started the nature preserve in the first place.

[Lt. Verdanza]: It may be because I just saw you talk to a Tropius, or the continuous days without sleep, but you convinced me, I’ll stop this operation.

With a sigh of relief, the military leader makes a call, and tells whoever is on the other side of the line, that they are stopping everything, whoever she’s talking to tries to retort but she responds in a serious and intimidating tone that makes you jump out of your chair in surprise.

After the call is done, she lets a sigh of relief.

[Lt. Verdanza]: It’s in your hands now cadet, tell the Queen she’s no longer in any danger.

As you walk outside the building, you can see the commotion inside the post become bigger, louder. Violent. Hundreds of Bounty Hunters have started to riot around the village, while other just leave disappointed. The authorities come out to force them outside of town, the locals soon join in. A fight ensues.

You can see various Flying/Bug types around the post, they must be servants of the QUEEN, after witnessing the scene they fly back with to the Marsh.

You still have some hours of daylight!

>Let’s go tell the Queen the bounty has been lifted and get Vulpix already.

There’s no time to waste, you promptly start to walk towards the marsh, you can make your teammates and companions wait for a bit, Kali probably told them you are alright.
Right now, you must get Vulpix and finally resolve this whole deal with the Queen.

-------------------------

After a long time traveling trough the lands and meadows that separate the Marsh from the Village, you finally come across Yanmega, he’s been waiting for you by the QUEEN’s request. He lifts you up and flies you to the deepest part of the marsh.

There you find Vulpix, who seems relieved to see you back so soon, but she’s still sporting that pissed off look, maintaining her distance from you.

You can see the QUEEN festering on all the food her servants brought as tributes, as well as the corpse of the Surskit she ordered to have executed.

Behind her, there’s two men who are dressed as farmers, tied up in Ariados Silk.

The gigantic Bug-type, easily 3 meters tall seems joyful of your return.
[QUEEN]: Oh! Young Envoy, your return is such a marvelous sight.

[QUEEN]: My servants just informed me of your noble deeds, the hunters have already started to retreat.

[QUEEN]You have performed magnificently! I can see why the YELLOW KING choose you to raise his kin.

[QUEEN]: I decided to head your advice regarding farming, I ordered my subjects to retrieve humans with knowledge in the area. With this, the food offered as tribute should increase exponentially, and I will be able to reach the peak of my glorious potential much sooner.

[QUEEN]: Unfortunately, it would be terribly difficult for my subjects to grow substance in this land. But there’s a silver lining to everything.

[QUEEN]: With the hunters nowhere in sight, I shall speed up my objectives, expand my colony across this Marsh. And unto the Human’s settlement, their lands are much fitted for agriculture.

[QUEEN]: Do not fret young envoy, we won’t kill all of them, we shall maintain some alive as “Worker Durant’s” farming my nourishment. But I do suggest you go far away from this town in the next days, so you can avoid the carnage.

[Percy]: …You aren’t going to release the other *Masters* ?

[QUEEN]: Why would I? They prove to be great soldiers. I can't begin to thank you, my small, brave Envoy.

Well, seems like only you and Vulpix are the only ones returning to Adage Village.

We need to drive in the idea that kidnapping and fucking with humans is a mistake. Electivire knew this, which is why he manages the abandoned factory and a bit of the surrounding area. A decent-sized area that's easily ruled and controlled, and where humans can be incapacitated and kicked out easily if they show up and try to start shit outside of catching one mon or two.
>>
Also aren't there berries that could feasibly grow real well in marshland or in these conditions? Might not have to seize whatever humans have if you just sorta copy what they're doing to begin with.

Basically this. Let her know that further aggression against the humans, further expansion of her territory, and the continued enslaving of the Masters will only result in the humans coming after her again, and in even greater numbers. And this time we'll be unable to stop them. Maybe add that negotiating with the humans to help her grow berries out in the marsh effectively would certainly be feasible, but only if she doesn't expand her territory outside the Marsh and ceases abducting and enslaving masters. As >>3103711
said, cite the Yellow King's relative coexistence with the humans, despite the fact that he's in the heart of one of their settlements, and that he's able to do this because he understands that continually antagonizing the humans will simply lead to him being wiped out.

You can still salvage this, Electivire knew not to mess with humans as it would cause much trouble to himself and his subjects, but you are starting to think that maybe she isn't as reasonable as the YELLOW KING.

In case things come to worse, you need a way to get out of here soon.

"Hey Victoria, do you think you could give me a little psychic hand on this? Can you teleport?"

[Victoria]: Teleporting is something outside of capabilities.

[Victoria]: But, I can think of something, I just need to find the right Pokémon nearby.

The Queen thanks you once again, and offers you to return you to the village with the help of Yanmega, following closely by other bug-types carrying the currently unconscious trainers and farmers that the Queen captured.

The Yanmega flies towards the village, carrying you with care to not hurt your arm. You have some time to talk with him before you arrive to your destination. He seems, strangely disappointed.

We REALLY should get off our asses now and have our team train some more. What with all these imminent threats of much greater power than us and all.

Good job on portraying a more balanced journey power-wise, Mediocre.
Instead of the more usual game experience of inevitably power-leveling your starter and steamrolling everything by level difference alone.

Sheesh, this one's really not going for a long term diplomatic option, huh? Much as I'd prefer to find some sort of permanent coexistence, it doesn't seem like the Queen would be willing to go for it, at least not yet. We'll have to see about getting strong enough personally and with our allies to provide a deterrent for her, even if she becomes a full sized Behemoth. Or at least find some way to get it through her thick skull that even if she becomes a proper Behemoth the human military is just way too much for her to handle.

Feeling a bit lost, you decide to consult with Yanmega, he’s living under the Queen’s rule, so he may help you get the full picture of this situation. Afterall, you are starting to feel a bit unsure if your actions where the best ones you could do.

[Percy]:This is better than the alternative, right? Fighting against all those bounty hunters.

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* I’m not sure about that human, the hunters desire only to capture us, not kill us. They may be some unfortunate losses, but I believe you are just delaying the inevitable and giving the QUEEN better chances at succeeding. *BUZZ*

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* What is a life of servitude exchanged for another? At the very least, I could hold onto the hope our new *masters* would be better than our current one. *BUZZ*

[Percy]:What’s wrong with the Queen’s rule?

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* She’s not a leader, not one I would follow willingly. *BUZZ*

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* The Marsh has never been too kind to humans nor Pokémon, but since she arrived, it has become a violent dangerous place. The only ones safe, are the ones too young to offer tribute to the Queen, she waits until they can bring enough before forcing them to do so. *BUZZ*

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* Besides foraging our own nourishment, we must bring as much, and at times, more food as tribute. Or we’ll be executed, our bodies being the tribute, and then replaced by new servants we abduct. *BUZZ*

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* The inhabitants of this place must fight between themselves to procure so much food, we have to hunt far away from the marsh, as I was doing when I found you. *BUZZ*

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* She does not care for our wellbeing. *BUZZ*

[Percy]:Then, why do you follow her? Can’t you just leave?

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* I’m afraid not, her toxic and enrapturing scent has poisoned our brains, we can’t go against her will. *BUZZ*

[Percy]:The Pheromones…

[Yanmega]: *BUZZ* Sometimes, I wish to stop myself from bringing more tribute and just offer my body to her, to end everything. But I can’t leave my kin alone, Yanma needs me. *BUZZ*

There’s a heavy sadness in his buzzing.

You decide to not press any further.

After a while, you finally arrive at the Village, some Bounty Hunters are still rioting, while the families of the deceased local trainers are claiming for an explanation as to why the bounty was lifted. They are vandalizing the Capture and Defense Post, and you see some of them heading towards the gym.

I like how this quest does it. There's no set path for us in regards to badges because gym leaders have different teams for different powerlevel challenger teams. Our only BIG deadline time is getting all 8 badges before entry into the big leagues closes, and Elite 4 and endgame tier battles start to happen. That's when competitive shit like hold items, movelists, environmental tactical use like in the anime, etc. comes into play.

Trying to avoid the angry, violent mob of remaining Bounty Hunters. You make your way towards the Pokémon center.
Vulpix is still mad at you for leaving her behind, giving you a cold shoulder.

When you finally arrived, you are greeted your teammates and traveling companions, Kali is also there.

Loudred, MImikyu and Prince all rush towards you and her, while Houndour and Kadabra go to you more calmly to receive. ] “I’m not leaving your backpack again Master! I won’t!” The worried ghost type exclaims, while Kadabra tries to convince him that that is just impossible.

”See? I told you they would be back, they won’t die so easily” Houndour says to reassure Prince and Loudred who where terribly worried about Vulpix and you.

Eli:WEIRDO!

Eli gets in your face, she looks pretty mad, shaking your skinny body with a surprising strength. While demanding and explanation for your actions.

Eli: Man, don’t make worried about you, shit’s not cool, a’ight?

As you fill all of them in in the situation, their expression changes. The giant Vespiquen, how you removed her bounty and how she plans to attack the Village and take over it in a month’s time.

[Gareth]: You are pulling our legs here, right Percy? Right?

[Percy]: I’m not joking about this, remember the giant Hippowdon?

[Gareth]: Ah crap, that explains the bounty hunters, and the riots.

[Kali]: That sounds terrible Percival! We should tell the authorities right away!

As she says this, she takes the opportunity to send you a message.

[Kali]: (Online): Oh my, So the Mind-controlling Tyrant of Bugs who kidnapped humans didn't change her ways after some sweet talk? Who could had guessed such a turn of events!

[Percy]: (Online): Not right now Kali!

Eli motions her team to follow her, as she gets ready to exit the Pokémon center.

Eli:What are you all waiting for? Let’s go kick her ass!

[Percy]:I don't think we could, at least not right now, first I need to go somewhere else.

Before you make your way to the lieutenant to inform her of this situation

You should.

Kali can fuck right off, we still managed to defuse what was essentially a hostage situation. >Isn't it funny how everyone dislikes Aleida for being naive and helping some psychopaths and then we pull this shit?

You mean temporarily defusing a conflict, saving a bunch of enslaved trainers, making the Queen more amenable to us and possibly providing us with the opportunity to council her towards a more peaceful long term solution, and, if she's entirely unwilling to listen to reason, giving the Capture and Defense Force a month to prepare an assault on her while also making sure that they don't need to be worried about mind controlled Trainers getting in their way, while also being able to provide them with a fairly in-depth analysis of the enemy's current forces should that be necessary? And being rewarded by the Queen, and, possibly, the Gym Leader for our services? Sounds like a pretty good outcome all around to me.

You thank your companions for looking out for your team while you were gone. They even fed them while waiting for you.
[Gareth]: No problem Percy, they are good mons!
[Eli]: Yeah, your critters are pretty cool, when they are not faking their defeats!

She looks at Prince when she says this, the Pokémon just smiles while scratching the back of his head trying to appear innocent.

>You trust your companions enough to take care of your Pokémon properly, you feel a bit closer to them.

[Prince]: I learned a lot of new words today!
[Loudred]: That you are not allowed to say. At least until you evolve.

Finally you make your way towards the capture and defense post, it seems like a group of young locals have started a battle against some of the remaining Bounty Hunters, both groups are blaming each other for the cancelation of the operation this Wednesday.

Sitting on a bench nearby you spy Maximiliam with his Pikachu, they are eating chip while laughing at the irate trainers.

[Young-thug]: You incompetent fucks! Because of you. They had to call of the raid! Good for nothin excuse of a trainer
[Bounty-hunter]: What are you on about? We wanted to sped things up! Your people where the ones who didn’t wanted us here, they cancelled!

As their battle rages on, Maximiliam takes a stand.

[Maximiliam]: Hey, dumbasses! You know who called this shit off? Blackstone, they said your little town wasn’t worth the time or money. How do they know? I tipped them off! So if you got a problem, take it out with me!

[Young-thug]:Is that fucking Blackstone kid! He won’t get away with this!

Both the locals and the bounty hunters are riled up by Maximilliam lies, lashing out at him with their Pokémon, he welcomes the violent with a smile and retaliates with his own team, he seems strangely content, but he doesn’t seem to be enjoying the battle.

You also receive some more messages from Kali.
[Kali]: Did you even knew what the operation of this Wednesday consisted off before calling it off?

[Percy]: They were just going to hurt the Pokémon and the mind controlled trainers if I let things go that way

[Kali]: Sure, because only YOU can do things the right way. Correct?

You won’t humor her attempts to provoke you anymore. You decide to ignore her and take advantage of the chaos outside to make your way inside the post and met the Gym Leader.

You head to her office, she seems more calm and composed, serious and stern. A complete contrast of the trainer you met earlier.

[Lt.Verdanza]: Percival, I expected you, I received notice that the missing person have returned to the village, as a Gym Leader and head figure of the military of this town want to thank you personally for your aid, we’ll close off the Croaking Marsh.

Then you tell her that the Queen is planning a large scale invasion in a month and she just breaks down.

[1/2]
>>
>>3104866
The stressed gym leader walks around the room in circles, while trying to keep her head cool. It’s not going well.

[Lt.Verdanza]: Oh for God’s sake, we don’t have the resources nor manpower to pull the kind of preparations of Blackstone’s operation, we’ll have to get money from the populace and our little closed off economy isn’t doing so hot these days to sustain that kind of investment.

[Lt.Verdanza]: And If I want to get Blackstone back on the deal, I’ll get to negotiate and get on their good side, after making them waste so much money on publicity and all those gas mask for the trainers and their mons to deal with the Pheromones.

[Lt.Verdanza]: They’ll definitely want to get their greedy hands on the nature preserve and I can’t allow that.

[Lt.Verdanza]:I could call the central office for some help regarding this, but hey are probably going to judge me as unfit to deal with this situation and I’ll lose my position in this town, and I’ll definitely get fired from being a gym leader.

[Lt.Verdanza]:I can already hear the people claiming for my head.

[Lt.Verdanza]:Maybe I should just, go find a bridge to live under it while am at it. Or to jump from it.

[Lt.Verdanza]: No, it’s okay, you have a month to fix it. You can do this.

…..

[Lt.Verdanza]:Why are you still here?

She seems a tad pissed at you, or stressed you are not sure.

>Okay, hear me out, what if, we try and negotiate with the Queen? The two of us? (Requires roll)

I mean, I was hoping she'd come around to a more amenable outlook generally, but this is still within the acceptable outcomes range for me. I never said that this was going to solve itself, we're obviously going to have to put some work in to either take down the Queen before the month is up, or convince her to content herself with the swamp, but we've at least averted what would have been a major loss of human life. With the slaves out of the way, the Capture and Defense Corps can be much less cautious with their prep to bring down the Queen, should such an effort be necessary.

>Just leave the poor woman alone for now. Return to the Pokémon center.

Hm, we're going to need to put some work into this. I think negotiating the Queen down to a more peaceful state is possible, but leaving the Pokemon in the marsh under her thrall seems kind of bad. The Queen IS more vulnerable now however, with the Trainers gone, and she sees us as an ally. If we could get a couple of high level trainers suitably equipped to resist the pheromones, then we might be able to jump her before she's able to call in her full forces. Kadabra or some other Psychic type might just be able to Teleport us in, since we know where her home base is. If we can bring down the Queen it seems like most of the Pokemon in the marsh wouldn't be willing to attack us further outside of those Escavalier. We could possibly enlist some of the other marsh Pokemon to help us in a minor capacity, like the Yanmega. He probably can't go against the Queen directly, but at the same time other then demanding the tribute she doesn't seem to keep a particularly constant control over her subjects.

Ask her not to look at it as a loss so much as a setback that bought us some time. A lot of the Bounty Hunters are still in town, and at least some of them seem more interested in the fight then the money, so they could be negotiated with on a person by person basis.
Like this, now we dont have to worry about collateral damage to the hostages, OR mind controlled trainers, Plus, you now know a target and where they are. It'd be much easier to lead a small, competent strike team of the best trainers you can get on board then a huge mob trying to take out any mon they can find.
We reallyonly need to get the Queen out of the way, and the situation should calm down substantially, since it seems the general marsh population is being controlled through fear and pheromones.

You would like to tell her that everthing was for the best, that this way you got the mind controlled trainers to safety before the raid. That this way she only has to worry about the Queen.

You quietly mumble “sorry” to the stressed gym leader as you leave the precinct. In your way out you can see Maximilliam smiling smugly at the faces of the hordes of trainers he just defeated. Seems like the riots are finally dying down. Leaving behind a battered and in terrible conditions military post. Most of the bounty hunters finally left, the only ones remaining seem to be locals who have moved towards the Grass Gym to desecrate the place. Somebody seems to be leading them.

You head towards the Pokémon center with the rest of your companions,…and Kali as well as some other trainers, including a familiar bounty hunter butting heads with Eli.

You’ll consider camping but the locals will probably try to beat you up, they are pissed at the decision of removing the bounty, and the local hostel isn’t receiving anyone because of the raids.

You decide to answer the Professor messages, she seems to be interested in the signal your Pokedex picked up earlier today with the D.P tracker, she doesn’t waste any time to call you, her voice sounds rapid and excited.
Apparently, in the memory of the Pokedex, there’s only be three things that have registered this signal, there’s data missing for the first occasion that seems to have happened just before you found it, the other two have been Prince and a Vespiquen, the Queen to be more precise.

She seems curious about this since she has heard rumors of an organized group of Bug Pokémon near Adage Village, and she wants to know if there’s any correlation with the D.P tracker and this group, she would like you to observe and record data of this group of Pokémon, and if you get your hands in any samples of the source of this strange signals, to send it to her.

She also asks how Gareth is doing, for some reason. He seems to be playing tug of war against his mons using a rope made of *string-shot* you guess he’s doing fine?

And regarding Professor Maple.

She doesn’t know about the Behemoths, but maybe she can aid you on understanding them. Still, you don’t know the consequences of trusting her with this information.

Most people don’t seem to know what “Behemoths” really are, heck, you only know from what little you heard from the Golurks and “The Ancient One” back at the Ruins of Ibarra Village, even you, a dedicated Pokémaniac has never read about such creatures, there’s been speculation of phenomena that has a likeness to them, like Totem Pokémon, but they seem, different somehow. Aleida seems to have heard of them but she seems to think they are just legends.

The Pokémon you’ve encountered, The Mother, The Yellow King, The Queen, they all seem to share some characteristics with the stories you’ve heard. But, are they really behemoths? The Queen seems to think she is.

What is really a Behemoth? Just a big strong Pokémon who can command others? Or something else?

You also reveal you could supply her with some samples of the Pokémon that give of these signals, carefully, you recollect some of the fur Prince sheds from time to time and get the Silver Powder ready.

The professor doesn’t waste any time to send towards you a Natu working for the postal service, wow, she paid extra for the express delivery. You hand the small flying type the items and give him a Poké-treat for job well done.

The Professor can’t quite contain her excitement as she starts to squeal over the phone “This is Groundbreaking! Our little lab is saved! I can’t wait to publish this” you can hear her jump up and down from excitement over your phone.
Seems like she will be focusing her investigations towards this phenomenon and compare it with the normal Pokémon communities. She’ll inform you of her findings as she makes progress on her investigations, helping her out could sped up the process.

>Proffesor Maple knows about the Behemoths and wants to study them.

Journal of the Arcane sage.
2nd Log.

After many attempts, and many troublesome mistakes, I’ve finally perfected my creations, even more so that I anticipated.
The small stone bodies are hardy and resistant, they seem to be subservient by nature, heading my commands without a complaint.

But there’s something, I fear.

I just realized it this morning, while fixing one of the bodies of a Golett who got into an accident while mining. Various of his kind gathered around him and offered flowers. Just as the tribesmen do when a loved one is gravely sick or injured.

These machines I’ve created, powered by spirits, they seem to behave more than living creatures than mindless automata, they feel, they care for each other, they want to be treated by kindness and want kindness as well. They may not be particularly smart, but they can learn by imitations.

They grow as livings things do. And they, they can change. This was not in my plan, I merely wanted strong servants, instead, I feel like a father to these creations. Could this be divine intervention? A sort of teaching for my arrogance?

I was planning on departing to search for the tribe that has conquered the beast, instead, they came to me. More specifically him.

A man who tamed the beasts, not like those disgusting servants from the south who give their lives to the whims of monstrous beasts and speak their twisted tongue, their spirits tainted by the inhuman creatures.

This man couldn’t understand the beast in such ways, but he walked alongside them, not as equals, the creatures respected him, feared him, revered him, needed him.

He was carrying six strange devices with him, that let him store and release the beasts as pure energy. Without a need to destroy their body.

Behind him, his whole tribe followed.

He had heard of me, and wanted to enlist me, and my whole village into his group. He’ll provide protection, food, clothing, in exchange, he wants me to make more of the devices he used to entrap the beasts, more effective, easier to produce, make enough for all the people under his rule. With the help of my Goletts, this may be possible.

He had two goals, to unify all the tribes under one glorious kingdom. Aztlan.

And to tame every single kind of beast that roams this world.

They called him, “The Beast Master”

END.

The first trainer? Interesting. Out of curiosity though, how are we, er, translating this? I know that we can understand Pokemon, but these sounds like physical logs, which I'd presume are written down. How do we understand whatever they're written in?
>>
>>3105609
It's a curious process.

The Golurks and Goletts at Ibarra Village Ruin can understand and read these logs.

They read them "out loud" in their own language, that consist mostly of signaling with their hands and bodies along with sound-cues to give a representation of what is said on the text, Dr Henry Ford records them and send the videos to Percy so he can use his Poké-interpretation to try and translate it into english.

Tuesday. 8th day of your Journey.

You wake up in one of the couches of the Pokémon center, Prince in your arms. It's hard to believe all the stuff that happened yesterday with the Queen wasn't just a dream.

You had a quick simple breakfast provided by your traveling companions, since you gave all your Pokéfood away to the Queen as a tribute. You better buy some more soon, to stop munching off them.

Eli makes sure you join her, and the others in their morning training session.

Your training resumes with your friends and Kali, this is the third day in a row you manage to not skip on your teammates training, and you think you can start seeing some progress!

Roll me some 6d100!
Best of three!

First Roll Loudred. (Still needs to modulate her strength.)
Second Roll Houndour. (+5 Feels a need to improve after the pummeling he received at hands of the Revolutionaries.)
Third Roll Mimikyu. (+5 Really worried about you, wants to be stronger so he can protect you.)
Fourth Roll Vulpix. (+5 She’s motivated to get stronger so you can evolve her sooner! Even if she’s still mad at you.)
Fifth Roll Prince. (Getting over his “battle anxiety”)
Sixth Roll Kadabra. (Not really a part of the team but trains anyways)

DC: <60: There’s some progress, but…
DC: 60 Slowly but steady, your Pokémon are definitely getting stronger!
DC: 70 Someone’s been working pretty hard!
DC: 80 Impressive results!
DC: 95+ MAXIMUM GAINS.

Loudred: 51
Loudred isn’t weak by any means, but she certainly has trouble modulating her strength, her protective and caring instincts that impulse her to let her full power out when she must protect others are the same ones restraining her from using her full potential in battle.
Maybe she needs to face stronger opponents in safe conditions, to push her past this mental barrier of hers. Or you could be patient and slowly let her get accustomed to her strength, it’s been just a week since she evolved after all.
>Loudred can now use a bit more of her strength outside of battle!

Houndour: 77+5: 82
Houndour is on fire, that last bout with Cubone Mask made him realize that he needs to push himself harder, he’s still got ways to go to become a proper Pack Leader, fueling his determination he’s got *Faint Attack* down, and has learned how to use *Inferno* even though he still needs to master this move completely. Also, both his Physical and Special attack have been improving with this training.
>Houndour learned: *Faint Attack* and *Inferno*

MImikyu: 83+5: 88
Aided by Eli’s team, the little ghost has been improving his evasive and offensive game greatly by being used as a moving target while retaliating against his attackers, getting better at reading his opponents, the little ghost type even developed *Mimic*
>His Physical attack and speed have improved, learnt *Mimic*

Vulpix: 48+5: 53
In the other hand, Vulpix has been having trouble to master the moves, she has learned how to use *Aurora Beam* but *Blizzard* is still too hard for her, she can’t use it reliably in battle. Adding to her problems, Her mood still seems sours since yesterday, and she can’t help to look jealous at Prince’s sudden development.
>Vulpix has learned Aurora Beam.

Prince: 96
Under the teachings of Houndour, he has grown more accustomed to battle, and to other Pokémon, they still make him a bit anxious, but he doesn’t strike at his opponents blindly like before. Being such a young Pokémon, training under more experienced ones, his growth has been accelerated exponentially! He’s quickly catching up to the team, even though he still has way to go.

During his training he mastered the following moves during his sparring. *Low Kick*, *Swift* *Shock Wave* and *Thunder Wave*

You think he may be ready to start fighting tougher opponents.

>Learned: *Low Kick*, *Swift* *Shock Wave* and *Thunder Wave*

Kadabra: 92
For not being a part of the team Kadabra has been training really hard, honing his own skills, your teleporting friend has dominated the moves *Disable*, *Psybeam*, *Miracle Eye* and *Reflect*, not only that, his teleportation has been improving greatly, and he now can move from a close town to another with ease. He has also started to look more attentively to the way you and your companions battle.

>Learned: *Disable*, *Psybeam*, *Miracle Eye*, *Reflect*, teleportation is now easier!

After a quick visit to the local clinic and paying $1,000 you finally got your cast removed.

>You can now use your left arm!

As you leave the clinic, you can see a group of people gathering around a strange old bearded man, sitting on the floor, he seems to be offering tea and advice to the locals in distress from the current situation regarding the bounties and the ban to travel through the marsh.

Gareth promised you to teach you how to shoot the gun you have in your possession, but there doesn’t seem to be a shooting-range at Adage Village. You could go into the mountains and practice with the older trainer, or you could use this time to do something else.

There’s also the situation with Vulpix whom is still pissed at you.
Also, you don’t have any Poké-food with you.

>Call Gareth let’s go shooting!
>Let’s check out the Gym here.
>Let’s go to the local Pokémart for some food, (Look for something else in particular?)
>Approach the old man, hear what’s he saying.
>Go to the Capture and Defense post, to look for bounty hunters that could help you fight the Queen.
>Let’s spend some time with one of our mons, whom?

In-character because Percy know White Veil
>is responsible for the White Room in the abandoned house
>is responsible for Whismur
>is responsible for trackers and other spying/data-collecting stuff in the regular Pokedexes
>is responsible for Victoria being the way she is, not to mention her dad being a massive bastard

>Loudred can now use a bit more of her strength outside of battle!
>Loudred has been looking for outer outlets to her strength and learned *Stomp* in the process.
Progress is progress. We keep forgetting it's literally been a week in-universe.
>Houndour learned: *Faint Attack* and *Inferno*
>both his Physical and Special attack have been improving with this training
the "grab enemy with Crunch then point-blank Inferno to prevent missing" is looking real good so far
>His Physical attack and speed have improved, learnt *Mimic*
This will be a great way to catch enemies off-guard, or steal a move they might use but we dodge
>Vulpix has learned Aurora Beam.
Better than Icy Wind and Powder Snow. Progress is progress but we gotta work on her jealousy and other issues
>Learned: *Low Kick*, *Swift* *Shock Wave* and *Thunder Wave*
we got TWAVE now, sweet. Shock Wave is a decent early-mid game STAB too
>Learned: *Disable*, *Psybeam*, *Miracle Eye*, *Reflect*, teleportation is now easier!
Disable might be good outside of battle if he can use it to disable someone from walking or speaking. Reflect is the king though, helps our own survivability too because Percy is just a regular human
>You can now use your left arm!
YES

Guys here's some stuff we gotta do:
>Get Vulpix handled because jealousy is a bad thing to feel for your teammates when them gitting gud can mean the difference between life and death for you
>Continue getting those badges, not gonna get Grass badge anytime soon because of the Queen
>Shooting practice with Gareth later, when we get to a city or town that has a place for it

What even is our time limit? I expect there's a real deadline we have to get all 8 badges before entry into the League competition or something is locked off? Or is it just "get 8 badges and you're set"? If there wasn't a deadline, then we wouldn't have a reason to rush through places to get those badges - although we have teleport to make backtracking easier.

And if we ever want to catch another mon, we have no choice but to resort to the dreaded PC, and figure out where to leave other mons of ours, definitely the farm with mom and dad's older ones. The problem we'll have to deal with is whoever we leave on bench feeling bad as us leaving them, as well as the rest of the group potentially doubting us. There's a few easy solutions to this, but I want to see what everybody else thinks first

Percy is currently on his summer break from high school, he's got a time limit of 10 weeks. (70 days) we are on our 8th day.

Then he must go back to school, if he wishes too.

In this period of time he must get the 8 badges and raise enough attention on himself as a trainer to get an invite to the league.

Having 8 badges does not assure you entry to the league, but is a requirement.

The league tournament starts until december, during winter break

As you make your way towards the mart, you try to contact Professor Maple to advise her about being careful of White Veil.

Telling that she might want to check her computer and equipment inside her lab in case they are rigged with something to spy on her, after all White Veil seems to be responsible for a lot sketchy stuff you’ve encountered this last days, and the Behemoths seem to be under their radar. So it would for the best to keep her current investigations in secret for the time being.

She tells you to not worry! She always double’s check for this stuff since “White Veil labs” are a cold, callous, power hungry, greedy industry that has no morals or qualms about taking advantage of independent research.

Seems like she doesn’t like White Veil very much, she’s even more paranoid than you!

After a while, you finally found the local mart, it’s a medium sized shop that seems to work more as a regular grocery store than a specialized Pokémon mart, still, they got the food and various Poké-related goods.
It’s not the part of Blackstone corporative chain like the other marts you’ve visited, it’s run by the locals. The cashier and employees don’t seem to care much for you, but you can see the locals shooting glares at you and any other visiting trainer.

You get the food!
>paid $3,000 of Poké-food, should last your group of 6 for a week.

While you are paying you heard a couple of familiar voices.

Aleida, the revolutionary girl seems to be trying to buy groceries, the task is difficult for her.
And for some strange reason, Dick Blackstone and his Bagon are helping her out. Well, more like chewing her out for her strange behavior inside the store.

A thought occurs to you, you've never actually read about what the raid operation they had planned for this wednesday at the Marsh consisted off, maybe it could give you a good idea of how to help with this mess?

You go to the official government webpage of the capture and defense forces, the information about this Wednesday is still up, with a disclaimer that it has been canceled due to “Unforeseen events” (You.)

The main objective of the raid is to capture the “Unusual Vespiquen” and her “Royal Guard”. It describes her abilities to manipulate both Pokémon and Humans with her pheromones.

All participants must be Bounty Hunters of rank 4 and above, meaning that they needed people with some experience.

The bounty hunters and their mons would be provided with special equipment as gas mask to avoid being controlled, as well as special “Disinfectors” fitted with a chemical compound that would get rid off the effect of the pheromones.

The bounty hunters would be divided into various groups, leaded by squadrons of Capture and defense members fitted with similar equipment, they would cover all the perimeters of the marsh, using the “Disinfectors” and to liberate the Pokémon and humans under the Queen’s control.

Only engaging in combat those who stay loyal to the Vespiqueen.

Once her forces have dwindled, a specialized Strike Team composed of high-ranking Capture and Defense Members, Elite members of Blackstone Security division, and hand-picked High-ranking Bounty Hunters would engage the Vespiquen and her royal guard.

Furthermore, there’s no bounty for none of the Pokémon on the marsh, to avoid the bounty hunters of catching them trying to get more money out of it, not even the Vespiquen, since they got a special team to deal with her.

Instead, all the bounty hunters will be paid equally once the operative is successful.

It’s advised to use moves like Stun Spore, Sleeping Powder and the like, to avoid hurting any trainer under her control, and to avoid over-hunting on the Marsh and disrupting the ecosystem.

It’s pretty well planned.
You learned some things.

>Blackstone has all the resources needed to deal with the QUEEN effectively.
>They seem to be on “the known” of her abilities.

But first...

You remember Vulpix´s desire to dress up as a magician during the Contest, unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be much market for Pokémon costumes in this small village market.

You could wait until you get to a bigger city to search for one, or just buy the outfit it online from the “Pokémon Apparel” Website. And get it here almost instantly via “Natu-Express” mail delivery.

You got a discount coupon from winning that contest afterall! And it could do some good to Vulpix’s mood.

You want to make it up to her, for leaving her behind, so you place the order and wait for it, in a couple of minutes a Psychic teleportation Pokémon should arrive with the costume.

Finally, you go with the pair of teenagers, Aleida wants to put a package of sausages for Deino inside her shopping cart but Dick is vehemently against it.

Dick:They gave you a list and a budget, you got no more money to buy those.

[Aleida]: That’s why I’m going to use the berries I’m carrying to barter for it. They should be more valuable than those processed meat tubes.

Dick:That’s not how our economy works! Put the sausages back where they were!

[Deino]: I’ll have sausages, or I’ll have death!

[Alexandro]: I dislike him, but I agree with the other Dragon! Sausages or death! Throw in a steak too! Rare!

The girl gets on all four and starts to growl along the Dragons.

[Aleida]: (Growling like a Deino) The Pokémon want sausages!

Dick: Hey, don’t growl at me! Damn it, at least Percival knows how t behave like a human. More or less, And how are you going to pay if they won’t take your berries?

[Aleida]: (Embarrassed) Ehm, I, didn’t thought of that.

Dick: You are a mess, I guess I can pay for them…just this once.

[Aleida]: Thanks Richard!

The pair and their Pokémon take notice of you as you approach them, they seem happy to see you. Aleida howls a greeting and Dick tells her to keep it down.

This is confounding you greatly. Why would this pair be together? You fear the worst.

[Percy]:Dick, please don’t tell me you joined the revolution!

[Dick]: The Revolution? Why would I do that?

[Percy]:Then, is, is, is this a d-ate? A Poké-date? Shit! I’m interrupting your Poké-date!?

[Dick]:Of course not. I’m just helping her out with groceries.

[Aleida]: I, I don’t think I’m ready to choose a mate, I mean, a date yet…

[Deino]: He’s not fit for out Envoy
.
[Alexandro]: The only girls this guy could date are all behind a screen and are drawings.

[Gallade]: What’s wrong with 2d girls?

The Gallade suddenly arrived with them, he was in charge of Richard’s shopping. Seems like Dick finally evolved his Kirlia.
Aparrently, after being defeated by his brother Dick went into the mountains to train exhaustively, taking a breather in the Village before going into the Marsh where he was overwhelmed by Bug Types trying to abduct him.
Aleida was near the place, since she was worried about the Pokémon living there, after noticing that the Pokémon where under the control of the Queen she ended up helping Richard’s Pokémon with help of her friend “Dragonite”.
They returned to the Village together, and to repay the favor, Dick is helping her with some Grocery Shopping.

[Dick]: I’m pretty sure she has been stalking me.

[Aleida]: I was just worried about your Pokémon wellbeing.

Aleida thinks Dick’s relationship with his Pokémon is a strange one, but it’s not necessarily a bad one, his team seems to benefit of their trainer’s presence, as well as one another. And the same could be said of Dick.

Aleida thinks Dick’s relationship with his Pokémon is a strange one, but it’s not necessarily a bad one, his team seems to benefit of their trainer’s presence, as well as one another. And vice-versa.
With that being said, you left the pair go, Dick has an appointment with the Gym Leader for a battle today, and Aleida wants to go with him to see if Official Pokémon battles aren’t really as bad as she previously believed.

Huh, a strange pairing.

[Percy]: But you wanted one. I know that, because I care about you.

[Percy]: I didn’t want to leave you behind Vulpix, but thought I had no other option, Kali is not someone I can trust.

[Vulpix]: So, it was easier for you just leave me on my own? How can I know you won’t do it again? If you get a stronger better Pokémon, then, you’ll just bench me, and my adventure is over…

[Percy]: I won’t abandon you Vulpix, you are important to me!

[Vulpix]: Not important enough to get my own name…

[Percy]: But, you are the most important “Vulpix” out of all of them, there’s no Vulpix like you, not for me.

As you say this, Vulpix seems to let her guard around you down, and she ask you to put the little hat and cape on her, you happily oblige.
She’s now a little Ice Wizard.

[Vulpix]: You better not be lying “Trainer”! Or’ I’ll hex you!

She says in a playful tone. No longer mad at you.

>Vulpix has become closer to you, she expects you to be true to your word!
>Vulpix has equipped, the Wizard ensemble! (Slight bonus to Psychic attacks)

You still got a day ahead of you, Vulpix seems way happier now. Showing off her new clothes to her teammates. Prince in particular, seems intrigued by her clothing.
What are you planning to do? You wanted to check out the nature reserve, but you need this city badge to be permitted inside.

We might have caused the impending attack, but I get the feeling that the original raid would have gotten pretty messy somewhere down the line, so it's a good thing that we got all the trainers out alright.

And if Vulpix wants a name, I'm gonna suggest 'Sorbet' right now. We should probably give everyone else (sans Houndour, with his issue with names) one as well.

>Plan for a raid against the Queen? (How will you go about it?)

So, I'm thinking as a basic framework we assemble a few elite trainers, and get them prepared somewhere with Kadabra, and maybe one other Pokemon that's able to Teleport, if we can find one. Then we approach the Queen alone, looking for an audience. Best case scenario, we manage to get her alone under the pretense that whatever we're about to tell her about it sensitive information. Worst case scenario, we just have to deal with a few Escavalier as well as her. We then have Victoria help Kadabra lock on to our location, and Teleport in with the other trainers. We all jump the Queen and, hopefully, we're able to take her down fast enough that we won't have to deal with any Pokemon other then her Escavalier guards. She'll obviously be tough, but Maximilian alone would have been able to take down the Yellow King all by his lonesome while handling a few other fairly high level Pokemon, and she's probably comparable in strength. If we can get four or five good Trainers along with us, I think quickly bringing down the Vespiquen before she can call in support other then the Escavalier would be more then feasible. Finding the help will probably be relatively difficult, but we'll likely be able to get the Gym Leader's help at least, and getting a couple of the other Bounty Hunters that are still about should be possible. Could maybe get Maximilian in on this as well, if we can find some way to convince him. The Vespiquen probably would be worth a lot of exp, though I'd be a tad worried that he'd try to capture it.

>He did his best, everything could've been worse.

If that original raid had gone through, things would have gotten really messy.

Boy I hope our other mons don't feel this bad if we decide to bench them. We can always teleport back to visit them and switch out our party too.
God, I fucking dread Kadabra feeling bad about us even though we've literally been friends for fucking YEARS. He's a Psychic mon, he knows how infinitely useful and OP teleportation is. We use him as a teleport bot because he can do that, and because it can literally save our lives and those of others. I mean come on, he can toxic shank enemies too, what's NOT cool about that?

Percy acknowledges he fucked up again.

All things considered, you still believe you did the best you could. Screw what Kali thinks, you have no idea how could that raid had gone.

You secured the lives of those trainers without needing to fight and they got a month to prepare, sure it might be a little though for this small village economy but you guess they can pull it off.

Without anything urgent in your plate on this moment, and not really wanting to deal with a pissed off Gym Leader right now, you decide to see if Eli is free to hang out.

And she is, you’ll be meeting her outside the C&D post.

Making your way trough Adage Village, you see that the situation has finally calmed down by the time being, almost every bounty hunter has left the village, and the few ones that are still here seem ready to depart.

The pink haired girl acknowledges you with a quick “Sup, weirdo”. She doesn’t waste any time to see if your arm is working alright, poking it to test its sensibility.

She’s kind of bummed out, she’s been getting into bounty hunting and was just a few bounties away to achieve the rank necessary to participate on the raid against the Queen, and now that the Croaking Marsh is closed off to everyone, the only bounties left are Pest control jobs, in town, and some missions on the mountains that have already been taken

“And there’s that shitshow going in the gym, can’t get the badge like this”.

“Well, at least your arm is ok, I kinda wanted to wait before you healed up to make you pay up for our bet, but I don’t think we can do THAT here”

She seems pretty bored, what do you want to do?

>"Do What?"

Overcome by nervousness, you stammer out a “D-d-do what?!” while staring at your traveling companion, while would she need both of your hands for? A million of possibilities go trough your head in a flash, your nervousness is palpable, you remember how you felt after holding’s Victoria’s hand by proxy, it was a strange feeling.

“Because, I-I-I don’t know if I’m ready for, you now…” before you can finish off your sentence, Mimikyu who’s hanging in your backpack pull your hair to get your attention, he says ”Master, keep your head calm and listen first!” You decide to head his advice since he is more proficient with the opposite gender than you.
------
[Eli]:Huh? I meant go to the movies, there’s no cinema around this place, so that’s a bust.

[Percy]:Movies?

[Eli]:Das rite weirdo! For your punishment, you are buying me a movie ticket, popcorn, some candies, and all that good shit.
(She starts off in her usual, loud bombastic self)
[Eli]: And, I guess you could tag along. If you wanna watch the movie too or whatever.
(She seems a little embarrassed, averting her eyes as she speaks, and adjusting her bandana over her face.)

[Percy]:If we are just watching a movie, why did I need to heal up first?

[Eli]:Dude, you got all intense last time we did! What if you fucked up your arm even more this time?

[Eli]:Also, you are gonna carry the popcorn, if you want to come with that is.
-----

There’s no movie theater in Adage Village, the closes one is on Madeleine town, and that’s two days’ worth of travel, you could wait until you get to a city with a movie theater or ask Kadabra to teleport to Madeleine’s town small cinema.

>Let’s wait until you get to another city. (You are not mentally ready for this scenario, also there’s stuff you want to do.)

You decide to not rush things, opting for waiting until you arrive to a city with a movie theater. You actually feel a bit excited for it, not sure why. Let’s just hope that you don’t manage to get yourself killed before arriving to the next city.
Eli and you decide to check out what’s been happening around the Gym.
The ample building that leads to the nature reserve has been thoroughly vandalized, the windows have been broken, the walls have messages insulting the Gym Leader sprayed with paint.

A group of thuggish looking youths aren’t letting anyone inside, they are thoroughly mad at the fact that the raid has been called off, thinking that the Gym Leader is protecting the Vespiquen, one of them is actually one of the trainers that was being held by the QUEEN, and he seems to be the angriest. “That fucking bug, killed my lil sister, and now they are protecting her? Fuck this shitty Gym Leader! And all of you, for getting the raid cancelled!”

They are blaming the visiting trainers and the bounty hunters for the cancellation of the operation, lashing out at anyone who doesn’t look like a native.

They are currently battling Dick and Aleida, well, they are battling against Dick and Deino, Prometheus the Golurk is currently fighting against a Tauros, while Deino deals with a group of Tangela.

Aleida is watching from the sidelines questioning a Rapidash belonging to one of the angry teenagers about his views on battling only because of the interest of his master, the Rapidash, even though he doesn’t share the views of his trainer is willing to help him out when he needs him even if it’s a trifle conflict like this one.

Eli doesn’t waste any time and joins the battle. “We didn’t do shit! Now make way, Imma get me another Gym Badge”. Two of the other thugs prepare to fight her, Pokéball in hands.

The local thugs’s Pokémon seems to be of an intermediate level, except for the one leading them, the one who wants revenge on the Queen for his deceased family member, he’s got a ferocious looking Kingler.

>Let’s join in with Eli and beat up some Punks! (Who are you sending out?)

As you walk towards the battle, so does another of the trainers impeding the pass to the GYM.

The pair of thugs unleash a Fearow and a Charmeleon. They seem ready to rumble.

Mimikyu's is ready to avoid anything that comes his way, he'll be starting with a Double Team to further raise his evasiveness!

Eli starts to whistle to issue her commands to Tremor, is ready to deliver some pain, with and Offensive approach, he is also acting even smugger than usual, using *Swagger* he wants to provoke and confuse the Charmelon and make him more open to attacks.

Fearow's trainer is feeling confident due to this battle matchups and optes for an offensive strategy, staying close to his opponents.
he gets ready to attack your Mimikyu, the flying type mon's eyes glisten as they focus on your Pokémon, not letting it out of it's sight for a moment. Seems like the Fearow has *Keen Eye* as an ability.

Charmaleon prepares to shoot a SmokeScreen towards Tremor, while mantaining some distance.
She seems to be preparing herself mentally to receive damage, going for a Defensive approach under her trainer's command.

Mimikyu’s training is showing its results. Keeping enough distance from the middle he starts to zip around the place, leaving a line formed by a dozen of afterimages, who all act in the same way at the same time, it’s nigh impossible for the human eye to distinguish the real one.
>Mimikyu’s evasiveness rose!

But Fearow’s eyes are not the ones of a normal human. It’s *Keen Eye* lets him follow the real Mimikyu as he moves around trough the battlegrounds, coupled with an unavoidable *Aerial Ace*, it could be trouble. Fearow flies towards the afterimages at an impressive speed and hit’s Mimikyu with one of it’s wing, breaking the neck of his disguise.

>Mimikyu’s *Disguise* has broken down.

>Tremor: CRIT FAIL.
The Charmeleon moves before the Krokorok, blasting a cloud of smoke that quickly envelopes the area surrounding Tremor, with it’s vision obfuscated by the move Tremor doesn’t get a chance to use *Swagger* as he can’t see his enemy. Charmeleon takes this chance to shoot a quick *flamethrower* to get some damage in.

Charmeleon is still away from the center of the battle, she prepares herself to keep blasting *Smokescreens* all across the street. So Tremor can't escape from the smoke reducing his accuracy and if possible, do the same to Mimikyu if he enters the radius of the continuos *SmokeScreen.*

Meanwhile, Fearow is flying over the smoke, close by.

Fearow's *Keen eye* let's him overpass this complication and focus on Tremor to land another *Aerial Ace* at him.

Eli whistles again while nudging softly, using hand motions, she discreetly tries to tell you something. She'll be using *Dig* to get out Tremor out of the Smoke and deal some damage to Charmeleon. But he'll have to break away the gravel road under him first.

Meanwhile, Mimikyu gets ready to spew a *Toxic* towards Fearow as soon as he comes down to attack.

Mimikyu manages to avoid the oncoming *SmokeScreen* blasts from Charmeloen with little to no problem, the real issue is managing to hit Fearow with a toxic while evading them. As he spews the *Toxic* towards the flying type, his trainer alerts him so he can dodge, MImikyu’s attack barely missing him.

The Flying type wastes no time, he flies through the smoke and delivers an *Aerial Ace* to Tremor, from the sounds of pain coming from inside the smoke, you can tell he’s been hurt.

Charmeleon keeps it up with the *SmokeScreen* but can’t hit your mon, who retreats to the edge od the unofficial battlefield. A thick layer of obscure smoke is now separating Mimikyu and Charmeleon, as Fearow flies above trying to look for Tremor.
That means he isn’t inside the smoke anymore, he’s dug his way underground and is probably aiming to strike at Charmeleon.

Fearow changes his focus towards Mimikyu again, while Charmeleon readies a Flame Burst, even though it would be hard to hit Mimikyu with it.

>CRIT.

You can see Mimikyu’s afterimages contort and change under they disguise, Mimikyu's body is twisting violently as Fearow closes in to bash against your teammate.

Before Fearow’s attack connects, one of Mimikyu’s limbs emerges from his costume, the end of the black colored limb is shaped as a strange representation of a wing, Mimikyu jumps into the air, screeching horrifically as his limb stretches and strikes viciously at Fearow’s body.

The Flying/ Normal mon is taken by surprise, leaving himself wide open.

>It’s a CRITICAL HIT.

Fearow loses balances, his body has been heavily damaged, but he can still continue to fight, he rises up once again and delivers an *Aerial Ace* to your mon’s body.
Charmaleon shoots out the *Flame Burst* to the air, the ball of fires explodes, the residual flames burning Mimikyu’s body.

>Your Pokémon seems hurt, at half his health after receiving both attacks.

The ground breaks open. Stones comes flying and struck Charmeleon’s body, Tremor comes out from the hole on the ground starts to pummel on his opponent’s body. His attack powered by the “Soft Sand” he’s carrying.
>It’s super effective!

>Fearow can still fight, he seems halfway done.
>Charmeleon’s manages to weather some of the damage thanks to her defensive approach, but she’s not looking good. She’s near the red.

Krokorok is now face to face with Charmeleon, while Fearow takes to the airs, making distance between him and Mimikyu, he is flying towards Charmander to aid him against Krokorok.

Mimikyu is currently in the opposite side of the street, being separated by the other three Pokémon by a thick curtain of smoke.

The Fearow dives into the air again, focused on Tremor. The flying type starts to spin, he’s about to use *Drill Peck*

It’s hard for Mimikyu to see clearly what’s going on the other side of the battlefield because of the gratuitous quantities of smoke covering the street between him and his opponents.

Let's continue the battle! You and her are definitely going to finish this!

Eli lets out "Friday" the Honedge continuing her OFFENSIVE approach, and commands her to get into the Smokescreen to hide from Charmeleon, and will use *Shadow Sneak* from the inside, counting on her ability *No Guard* for a certain hit.

Mimikyu get’s ready to attack Fearow once again with his imitation wings using *Aerial Ace* as Fearow prepares to strike with the same move once again, his movements have become clumsier since he is an almost critical state.

Mimikyu's DC: 5 (*Aerial Ace* can't miss, even in a CRIT FAIL)
(Successful pass to strike before Fearow does)

Friday DC: 5 (*No Guard* makes it impossible for her to miss, even in a CRIT FAIL.)

Friday’s shadow extends through the ground in the blink of an eye, emerging at Charmeleon’s feet and slashing her body. The fire type falls back, she’s in a critical condition, any light attack and she’s done for!

>Charmeleon is in a critical condition.

Charmeleon shoots another Flame Burst towards Mimikyu, but the small ghost type manages to dodge the ball of fire which hits one of his various afterimages to no effect. Mimikyu strikes at Fearow with his morphed limbs, the *Aerial ace* striking on Fearow’s body as the flying type bashes himself against your mon.

Mimikyu manages to conserve consciousness even after being struck by Fearow’s attack, but he isn’t looking to good, the Ghost/Fairy Type is in a bad condition. In the other hand, the Fearow can’t fight anymore.

>Fearow has been knocked unconscious.

His trainer sends out his next Pokémon, it's a Donphan. Seems pretty resilent.

Since the opponent is changing mons, Mimikyu gets a chance to change his approach. Or switch him for another mon.

Donphan seems to have it’s sight in Friday, preparing to ram into her using *Bulldoze* to deal as much damage as possible.

From the mass of smoke another shadow comes forth, rushing towards the Charmeleon and slashing her across the body, bringing her down to her knees, she tries to hold on to her consciousness but as the flames in her tail starts to dwindle, her trainer returns her to his Pokéball.
>Charmeleon has been defeated.

As the Donphan starts to rush into the cloud of smoke, attempting to strike at Honedge, Mimikyu doesn’t waste any time to intercept him, lifting his little wooden club and covering in the noxious obscure greenish miasma that surrounds his true body, the small club seems to enlarge as your teammate swing it’s at Donphan with as much strength as his limbs can muster. The pain is too much for his limbs, they give up and fall to the ground motionless after the strike, he can’t continue to fight so you return him to his Pokéball.
>Mimikyu can’t fight any longer.

Donphan is sent tumbling to the side and unto the ground, gravely hurt from the “Super Effective Strike”. But he manages to get back up.
>Donphan seems badly hurt, he’s got a third of his health let.

He rushes towards the smoke, even with the smoke difficulting their vision. Friday’s *No guard* instinctively drives her towards her enemy for the opportunity to strike without missing, Donphan takes advantage of this, knocking her down unto the ground by striking her with his heavy body and proceeding to stomp over her using *Bulldoze* you can feel the ground quake as the *Super Effective* moves hurts the body of the Ghost type.
>Friday Honedge has been seriously hurt, she seems to be under half her health.

Charmeleon’s trainer prepares to send another mon into battle, he throws his Pokéball to the air.

There’s still a cloud of smoke in the middle of the street, lowering the accuracy of anyone inside it or trying to attack across it.

People have started to gather around the battle, raising the attention on yourselves.

>Attack with Icy Wind.

The thug whose Charmeleon has just been defeated sends out a Simisage, the Grass type seems quick and agile, but he also seems to pack quite the punch, he seems to go for an Evasive approach.

You send Vulpix into the battle, she jumps into action, feeling confident as usual.

"Tremble before my mighty freezing storms!"

She's more than ready to deliver an Icy Wind targeting both the opposing fighters. And if the Wind is strong enough, it could dissipate the smoke or at least hurry up it's dissipation.

Donphan has his eyes on Honedge, he intends to finish it up with another Bulldoze, Honedge responds by delivering yet another Shadow Sneak, now focused on the Donphan and hoping the Icy Wind is enough to finish him before he strikes again.

Simisage, starts to search around his head for something, he takes out a big, hard shelled seed, and starts to gather energy around it, he readies himself to launch it at Vulpix.

Vulpix's DC: 7 (harder DC because of the smoke, needs at least a 6 to get rid of it)
Friday's DC: 5 (reduced thanks to her ability,)

Coming from the smoke you can hear grunts of pain from Donphan, Friday struck once again with her *Shadow Sneak*, but you can still hear his stomping so you know he isn't done for.

Simisage throws the *Bomb Seed* at Vulpix, the smoke makes it hard to aim, but your mon isn't dodging at the moment, fully concentrated on readying her next attack.

The hard seed travels through the air at high speeds and hits her side, it wasn't a full hit, causing some visible damage but nothing to really worry about. It doesn't stop little Vulpix as she unleashes a cold gust of air from her mouth.

>Vulpix has 2/3 of her health left!

The *Icy Wind* gets rid of the smoke filling the streets, and let's you and your mon see with clarity. Friday retreats to avoid being hit by friendly fire, no longer intending to land more hits on her attacker.

>There's no more smoke on the street.

The *Icy Wind* envelopes both opponents, small shards of ice are visible throughout their bodies as they start to freeze, slowing down their movements. Simisage has no chance to avoid the attack, you can see the greenish simian Pokémon tremble by the cold, and Donphan who's been damaged by the *Shadow Sneak* can't resist it, he curls up in a ball trying to preserve his body heat as he falls unconscious.

>Donphan has been defeated!
>Simisage has been hurt, he has a bit over half his health left.
>Simisage speed has been reduced! He can't evade as easily now.

Donphan's trainer readies another Pokéball, it seems to be his last Pokémon. An Ursaring.

Ursaring seems really bulky, he seems to be going for an OFFENSIVE approach to deal as much damage as possible.

Vulpix runs forward to shorten the distance between herself and Simisage, making it easier to aim and to deal more damage.

She gets ready to fire the volley of multicolored lights, Simisage tries to get out of the way, but the ice freezing his fur makes his movements slower, his body seems tense.

Simisage is trying to run towards Friday, opening his mouth to deliver a *Crunch* to her, in hopes of finishing her off.

Ursaring comes running towards Vulpix, preparing to swing it's fist towards your mon with all the strength he can muster he's going to use *Hammer Arm!*

Eli is trusting you to finish Pansage before he can attack Friday, and commands her mon to attack Ursaring, Honedge flies towards him and prepares to use *Iron Head*

Just as Simisage starts to run towards Friday, Vulpix unleashes a blast of entrancing multicolored lights, it moves fast and hits hard, landing a devastating blow to Simisage legs make him trip head first into the ground. Before the simian grass type gets a moment to stand up, Vulpix continues her assault, putting more and more power into her *Aurora Beam*. Simisage can only cry in pain and surprise as the array of lights assault his body repeatedly until he can’t move anymore.

>Simisage has been knocked out.

[Vulpix]: Take that! dumb grass type, tremble before my icy magic!

[Vulpix]: Did you see that Trainer? I took down two of them! Two! Alright! Who’s next? Bring it on!

[Ursaring]: Sorry for this, snowcone

Just as she starts to taunt her opponent, Ursaring has already reached her, using *Hammer Arm* to swing a punch at her little white snout with enough strength to shatter boulders. The impact is strong enough to send her flying through the streets.
>It’s super effective!

[Loudred]: I got her!

Loudred starts to run towards Vulpix, jumping and catching her mid-air as if she were a goalie on a soccer match and Vulpix was the ball. Your little Ice type mon isn’t conscious anymore.
>Vulpix’s has been knocked out.

>Ursaring seems a bit winded from that strike, his speed has been reduced.

>Friday: Partial pass.

Friday floats towards the Ursaring and delivers an *Iron Head* to his skull, hitting him with her heavy, durable scabbard, the Ursaring manages to weather the damage by covering his head with one of his arms, but it caused damage nonetheless!
>Urasring can still fight, he’s at a third of his health.

[Houndour]: You got two options here runt, either go into the battle, and defeat that Ursaring like I know you can or stay here so I can *Crunch* your sorry ass!

[Prince]:G-Got it, Houndour! Sir!

[Houndour]: Don’t call me Sir, that’s a human thing! Now, don’t make our training be for naught.

Prince gets ready to fight, rushing towards the battlefield, still a bit afraid. Once Prince can’t listen, Houndour takes the chance to tell you something

[Houndour]: He’s a good mon, but he needs some character. You should praise him after this is over. Even if he doesn’t win.

Prince is faster than Ursaring, so striking first is assured, his small size and nervous disposition makes Ursaring lower his guard around him as he doesn’t consider him a real threat. Prince attack power is off the charts for his age and battle experience, he’s got super effective move perfect to deal with such a heavy opponent.

The only thing he needs to overcome this battle, is his nervousness.

Poliwhirl goes towards Friday, in hopes of finishing her off with a Super Effective *Mud Show*, Eli, knowing her mon has a pretty bad Special Defense and is currently as slower then the Water Type commands her to use one final *Shadow Sneak*, in hopes of damaging him enough to finish Poliwhirl with her next Pokémon first strike.

Poliwhirl has been hurt as well but he can continue to fight without a hitch.

He looks at you, and he decides to try something out.

>Prince stopped his attack to attempt Dialogue!

[Prince]: H-he-hey Mr. Ursaring, you s-s-seem, like a r-r-reasonable mon, m-maybe we can talk this out? Poké-please?

[Ursaring]: Nope.

The normal type attacks ferociously at Prince’s body, using *Slash* to cut your mon’s hide with his sharp claws, you can hear Prince scream in pain as he falls to the ground, barely conscious thanks to his large and ample health pool.

It was *Super Effective*, Ursaring’s heavy weight makes the attack hit even harder.

The Ferrothorn uses *Power Whip* to pummel Kingler, taking care of not damaging the street, he strikes onto the Kingler’s head with the spiked end of his vines, the Sheer strength of the blow is enough to knock out the Water Type.

>Battle end!
>Percy and Eli’s Victory.
>Prince, Vulpix and Mimikyu all gained Experience!

Tangela’s Vines travel fast across the street, subduing all of the Hooligans, Dick, Eli and you. They press onto your body with enough force to impede any movements but not enough to hurt you gravely.

The Gym Leader is seething with rage.

[Lt. Verdanza]: Not only you are all battling outside regulated grounds, you are doing it in the middle of the street, you even made a tunnel underground! I just hope you didn’t mess with any of the plumbing!

[Lt. Verdanza]: Everyone fighting outside, banned from this GYM. Get out of my sight.

[Gareth]: Don’t you think you are being a little too harsh on them?

[Eli]: Those fuckers started it! We just wanted to get into the Gym and these guys started being bitches about it!

[Leader of the Thugs]: Who cares about the Gym? Stop wasting your time with these kids and solve that mess you caused you shitty excuse for a Gym Leader!

[Lt. Verdanza]: Shut up, none of you are permitted to challenge this GYM anymore.

[Gareth]: Even me?

[Lt. Verdanza]: (Sigh), You can Gareth, you weren’t involved in this.

What should you do?
>Attack the Gym Leader’s Pokémon, if you beat them she can't say no to giving you the badge. (What do?)

>Let's get out of here for now, and prepare to leave town.

>Let’s get out of here.

Deciding that you don’t want to deal with this any longer, you prepare to get out of this place.
After realizing that the Hooligans were the ones that vandalized the Gym, Lt. Verdanza let you, Eli and Dick go and hold onto the thugs, and went onto delivering them to the local Police department before returning to her duties at the Capture and Defense post.
There’s a strange sadness to her expression.

Eli isn’t giving up, “I’mma get that badge!” she proclaims as she gives chase to the Gym leader. Kali decides to follow her, saying that she’ll help her convince the leader.

Gareth joins you, both him and Kali challenged the gym, in a joint operation, since the way to the Gym plays out as a military exercise where groups of 1 to 4 trainers work their way into the wilderness to infiltrate the “enemy’s base” where the Gym Leader is located, they both made it to the end, but only Kali managed to beat her on battle.

“I actually wanted to fight her again, but I don’t think that’s going to be possible, today was her last day as a Gym Leader” Gareth explains you that the Gym Leader is losing her job, her superiors want her to solely focus on dealing with the Vespiquen effectively and she’s going to be replaced soon. So the “Ban” from the Gym is going to be lifted as soon as the new guy comes in, which will happen in a week.
While the two of you leave the scene, the old man with the Snorlax comes close.
He wants to thank you for your actions.

[Old Man]: Young lad, where you the one who rescued the people from the Vespiquen right?

[Percy]: I’m that young lad, yes. Even though, that guy with the Kingler didn’t seem to happy about it.

[Old Man]: Don’t mind my grandson, he’s young, full of emotions that cloud his judgement, you must understand, grief is a powerful thing, it makes us act in unreasonable ways.

[Old Man]:I want to thank you, for returning him safely. You are a trainer aren’t you? May this aid you in your Journey, it certainly helped me, in days long past.

The old man hands you an “Expert Belt”
>Obtained “Expert Belt” strengthens Super Effective moves!

[Old Man]:I would like you to invite you for dinner in my humble abode, but you seem to be in a hurry.

[Old Man]:But before you go, may I ask you a question? Just to humour this old man. Why did you stop the raid?

>I believe in second chances, I still think the Queen can change.
>I don't trust humans too much, I got some bad experiences with them, I've always prefered Pokémon. I believe something would have gone wrong with the raid.
>I just wanted to help everyone, without resorting to conflict.

[Percy]: I just wanted to help everyone I could, without resorting to a conflict, I feel that something would have gone wrong if that raid happened.

[Percy]:But, I guess you can’t always avoid it, only delay it.

[Old-man]: Pacifism is a noble goal, but sadly, it can only work when the ones with the power adopt it.

[Old-man]:I believe you shouldn’t give up on your ideals young man, become strong enough to defend them.

While you keep chatting with the old man, the revolutionary girl approaches.

[Aleida]: Old man Nezahua? Weren’t you busy making dinner?

[Nezahua]: Sorry my girl, but you did forget to deliver the groceries. I came to search for you.
Aleida apologizes for her forgetfulness, Nezahua tells her to not worry, and to invite her friend “Richard” to dine with them if he wishes too. He says farewell to you, thanking you one last time before walking away.

Gareth and you return to the Pokémon center to heal your mons and get everything ready, it’s probably going to take you a full day to cross the mountains regardless of where are you going. And where are you going next on your journey?

Go NorthWest
>Citlal Town.
Passing the mountains and into the coldest and iciest region of Aztlan you’ll arrive at a small town located in the near the highest mountain in all of Aztlan, Citalt Town, there’s a perpetually white and frozen forest surrounding it. In the peak of Icztate Mountain there’s a strange temple where few there to go, and fewer manage to come out alive. It’s also a popular destination for Ski-Resorts.

SouthWest
>Lacrimosa Bay.
Going trough meadows and hills, brimming with lakes, rivers and tall grass. You’ll arrive at Lacrimosa Bay, a famous touristic destination, filed with high-class hotels, touristic attractions, beautiful beaches, all kinds of stores and the Water Type Gym. Staying here can be pricey, even while camping on the beach.

South.
>Ceniceros
Going down into the south, crossing fiery and hot valleys you’ll arrive at Ceniceros, a small town famous for its local exquisite cuisine, warm friendly atmosphere, old archeological sites, and being near an active volcano. It’s a midpoint between High Alva city, and Lacrimosa Bay.

Eli’s original plan is to go straight from here onto Lacrimosa Bay to challenge the Gym, but you could take a detour to Ceniceros without slowing your journey too much, still you’ll have to convince her to go with you.

But, you did tell her, that you’ll just accompany her for the beginning of your journey, you never stated that you’ll be with her during the whole duration of it.
>>
>>3113845
>Let’s go with her original idea, straight to Lacrimosa Bay, then to Ceniceros on the way to the capital. Let’s keep traveling with Eli and Gareth.
>Let’s try to convince her of going to Ceniceros first?
>You actually want to see Citalt town first, even though you may have to go alone.
>Let’s go to Ceniceros ourselves. Maybe we’ll rejoin Eli later.
>Other/ write-in.

Remember people, we can Teleport thanks to Kadabra (a la Fly). Revisiting previous towns and locations for whatever reason is always feasible in the future, once we git gud and still wanna explore places we haven't been to is Aztlan. Citlal Town might be out of the way, but we can always teleport n

>Straight to Lacrimosa Bay!

There's no need to change the plans, you can always go back and explore other places. But right now your main priority is getting all the badges.

Well, one of your main priorities, you also have to help Victoria, find out what you want to do with your life, help Dick sever his connection to Victoria, help Dr. Henry Ford translate the ancient texts, investigate about the Behemoths for Professor Maple, help Prince with his anxiety and raise him into a good king, Adage Village getting invaded in a month....lose your V-card...Better not think about that right now.

There's also the aliens with the whole "A great catastrophe is going to fall under the region soon"

And this is the start of your second week traveling.

After confirming your destination, Gareth tells you he has to go "somewhere" but he doesn't specify where.

Meanwhile in another part of town, a punkish girl is trying to convince the local Gym Leader of letting her and you challenger her to a match. A 20-something college drop out

Shucks. But it's what we deserve, we kind of fucked her over a lot. And she looks like Cheryl so that makes me feel extra bad.
>>
>>3114045
No, Percy not being there helped the roll.

Going with the Gym Leader would made her even harder to deal with, since following Percy's advice got her fired from being a Gym Leader.
>>
>>3114033
>Failed the roll.
>Kali still owes you.

After a while, both Eli and Gareth return to the Pokémon center.

[Eli]::No time for more Gym matches my ass!

Disappointed about not getting your third badges, and Gareth failing to get his first, your Journey continues. Walking away from the small rural village and into the mountains, you feel determined to face the challenges that await you.

1 month before the fall of Adage Village

SESSION END!

Now, what's everyone up to?

>Loudred:
Proud that Prince got his first Victory. Couldn't wait to tell him. Steadily improving her control on her strength.

>Houndour:
Even PROUDER of little Prince. Won't tell him.

>Mimikyu:
Holed up in your bag, always worried about you. Confused about the effects of "Mimic" on his body, thankfully he returned to normal after the battle.

>Vulpix.
Loves her little costume, thinks it makes her stronger after she defeated Pansage while wearing it. (it really doesn't).

>Prince
Hoping he didn't embarrass himself in front of Eli's mons. Has gained a bit more of confidence after defeating Ursaring being able to attack Kingler without getting anxious.

Really likes Vulpix's wizard costume but won't tell her in fear of being bullied more. There's just something about Pokémon wearing human clothing that appeals to him. A bit strange.

>Kadabra.
After seeing the riots, he finally learned that human civilization is a fragile thing that can be destabilized quite easily. Also learned a new trick with his knife!

Traveling partners
>Eli.
Pissed since she didn't get any bounties, even more pissed because she didn't get a chance to get a badge. Feeling dumb for fighting in front of the GYM.

But honestly, she's more glad than anything that you are ok.

Avenger the Trubbish sketched some beautiful landscapes during his travels.

Tremor wonders when it will be his time to shine again, hiding his self-doubt under a mask of never-ending smugness

>Gareth.
Manage to reach the end of the Grass Gym along with Kali, but his team is still isn't strong enough. During the battle, Drillbreaker evolved into a Kakuna.

He's decided to get it next time. Motivated after the Gym Leader actually took his challenge and himself seriously.

BugMan and Sandrider even managed to defeat their first two foes! Being defeated by the third one.
>>
>>3114130
>Lt. Verdanza.
Lost the Gym and the Nature Reserve after her superiors deemed her unfit of running both while being in charge of Adage's Capture and Defense corps. Feeling like shit.

>Dick.
Eating a traditional meal with Aleida and her guardian, Old Man Nezahua, frustrated at the fact of not being able to get another badge. Exasperated at Aleida lack of human skills.

After Zoroaster begged and begged, he finally used the Dawn Stone, the Gallade is glad of "not looking like a trap anymore", and making it clear to his teammates that he was in fact, a male.

>Kali
Regretting evolving Growlithe so soon, since keeping him clean and fresh is much harder now. Considers you a self-righteous ass, but is grateful that you helped her out of there, wants to pay you back as soon as humanly possible to stop feeling that way.

>Aleida.
Doesn't understand capitalism even after Dick tried to explain it to her for 30 minutes. Wanted to see how those "Gym Battles" where. Old man Nezahua suggested her on going on a journey of her own.

>Cubone Mask.
Planning his next move.

>Your sister.

Nice
>Won't tell him.
Damn army sergeant types
>Confused about the effects of "Mimic" on his body, thankfully he returned to normal after the battle.
What if he can use Mimic on mons outside of battle? That would have a crazy number of applications.
>thinks it makes her stronger after she defeated Pansage while wearing it. (it really doesn't)
ouch
>There's just something about Pokémon wearing human clothing that appeals to him. A bit strange.
Literally transferred from Percy to him, but switched around.
>Really likes Vulpix's wizard costume but won't tell her in fear of being bullied more.
Is Prince gonna be King Electivire of Poke/fa/? Is he gonna make all his subjects be stylish AND competent?
>After seeing the riots, he finally learned that human civilization is a fragile thing that can be destabilized quite easily.
He's becoming redpilled. Just as planned.
>But honestly, she's more glad than anything that you are ok.
Best girl. Definitely gonna have her help with the "lose v-card" life goal much much later in the quest - when life-or-death situations become commonplace, and the real suffering of a pokemon trainer faced with a desperate need to git gud to overcome impossible odds, becomes explored in-depth.
>Tremor wonders when it will be his time to shine again, hiding his self-doubt under a mask of never-ending smugness
Once he evolves one last time and gets Moxie and better moves, he can easily sweep teams.
>that whole Gareth part
Good, he won't get squished/crushed so easily.

>>3114157
>that Lt. Verdanza part
RIP. Literally dindu nuffin.
>frustrated at the fact of not being able to get another badge. Exasperated at Aleida's lack of human skills.
Funny
>Considers you a self-righteous ass, but is grateful that you helped her out of there
look at yourself in the mirror first, biiiiiiiiiitch
>Doesn't understand capitalism even after Dick tried to explain it to her for 30 minutes.
Fucking leftists. Aleida is still bluepilled too much.
>Planning his next move.

Ugh. I kinda feel like we were destined to have something bad happen no matter what in this town, But theres no way im going to sign off on just leaving it to fall to that Vespiqueen. Next chance we get to go back and help, im voting for. Especially considering that line the Queen dropped about becoming "a TRUE behemoth". totally not foreshadowing

Not really anon, there was a way to avoid everything that took place, rescue all the mind-controlled trainers on the Queen's power and get your Gym Badge without too much unnecesary problems.

Will you be doing a Christmas themed session next week? Or are we voting on if we have one? PMD Christmas with Vicky or controlling someone else again would be interesting.

I'll have anons vote for it, currently I'm working on a way to incorpore it so it ties-in with the main story, or to make it something enjoyable albeit short.
