In this quest you play as Wade Wakeman, a 15 year old boy with a heart of gold and the wielder of the Omnitrix. This story is being told in an alternate universe, in which there are no longer any remaining Tennysons. Characters from earlier seasons will appear, but not always in a way that you’d expect.

It doesn’t take long for the Plumbers to arrive and arrest the knights. But it does take a while for them to cut through your diamond teepees in order to get to them. Thankfully, they had some spare plasma cutters on hand. You stand beside a humanoid chicken and a man sized green sponge in Plumber uniform. Apparently their names are Tripp and Dribble, and they’re Koba’s most trusted agents.

[Tripp]: Geez kid! Couldn’t you have wrapped them up in something softer? Like bubble wrap or something?

You find it strange that Tripp sounds like she’s from New Jersey. Maybe there’s a space New Jersey somewhere?

[Dribble]: And what’s with that ridiculous costume? We ain’t on Anur Transyl, kid.

Dribble kinda sounds like he’s drunk 24/7, but that might be how every member of his species sounds so you try not to laugh.

Kirby and Phil are chatting, while Olivia is looking something up on her laptop.

You decide to ignore their taunts and transform into Knuckle Duster to help them. They shield their eyes from the bright purple flash and slowly back away after seeing you reappear as a giant crocodile.

[Tripp]: Whoa, the boss wasn't kidding! This brat really does got the Omnitrix!

[Dribble]: I-I thought it was just a myth!

[Wade]: Oh it's real, Spongebob! And I'm gonna show you just what it can do...

You start running toward them, and they raise their weapons in response. But you weren't aiming for them. You were aiming for this delicious Petrosapien mineral deposit!

You start tearing it apart and absorbing the crushed remains through your metal vents. At least it's much faster than doing things their way. The Plumbers just stare at you in bewilderment.

[Wade]: So, how's Kevin been doing?

You try to talk with your mouth full, but it seems that they got the gist of what you were trying to say.

[Tripp]: Well that's part of the reason that we're here actually. Your boy Kevin is gonna be joining us in a mission soon. And the boss wants you in on the action.

[Wade]: What kind of mission?

[Dribble]: The reconnaissance kind. Real hush hush-type work.

[Tripp]: We're gonna be breaking into Incarcecon to extract a person of interest. And the boss thinks that someone with your specific set of skills can help us out if things go loud.

[Wade]: What's Incarcecon?

[Dribble]: It's a prison for the biggest, meanest and nastiest criminals in the galaxy! They operate outside of our jurisdiction, and if we get too close...

Dribble raises his hand and it immediately explodes! You almost choke on the minerals, but then you see his hand quickly grow back.

[Dribble]: Kablooey!

[Wade]: Why's Kevin involved in this? What ever happened to those Providence guys?

[Tripp]: Kevin agreed to help us with our special operations if we helped him nail those guys to the wall. Think of it as him owing us a favor. We've already shut down all of their known major facilities and scattered their forces, so they've scurried into the shadows like the rats they are.

[Dribble]: They won't be able to openly operate in this sector without us knowing about it.

[Wade]: So, they're gone?

[Tripp]: For now. So you in?

What do you say?

>"When is this all going down?"

[Wade]: Who are we extracting anyway?

[Tripp]: Azmuth's assistant. Think her name is Myaxx or somethin'.

[Dribble]: She's been imprisoned there for about a decade, and she might be the only one who knows where he might be hiding.

[Wade]: What's she in prison for?

[Tripp]: She erased Azmuth's genetic signature from his prototype Omnitrix and sold some cloaking tech to Spheroid pirates. Not sure if that's worth being sent to Incarcecon, but I don't make the rules.

[Wade]: Is she dangerous? Like will she try to hurt us?

[Dribble]: Probably. Being in the most dangerous prison in the galaxy would do that to you. But that's where you come in.

[Wade]: When is this all going down?

[Tripp]: Give us 4 days and we'll be able to pick you up. You, me, Dribble and Kevin are gonna break in and drag her out of there before the automated security detects us.

[Wade]: Isn't this all really illegal?

[Dribble]: Worrying about what's legal won't save the galaxy, son.

[Wade]: But you're cops!

[Tripp]: I know, but this is the only way we're gonna protect the peace. Because if the UGC loses this war, then there ain't gonna be no peace to protect. And whether you're there or not, this op is gonna go down in 4 days. So I'll ask again, you in or not?

>"I have someone searching for Azmuth as we speak. None of this is necessary."

You stop eating for a moment and narrow your eyes in silence.

[Wade]: You had me at prison break! Count me in.

[Dribble]: But we never said prison break.

[Wade]: Well I was thinking it! And that's why I asked questions!

You turn around to see that you've eaten enough of the teepee to get to the Knights, and the Plumbers quickly move in to apprehend them with your help of course.

You pull Driscoll out of his suit and bite the head off of the Forever Ninja in order to forcefully shut him down. After seeing you do that, Driscoll was much more compliant and followed your orders to the letter. You notice that Tripp has been staring at Driscoll for a while now.

[Tripp]: No cluckin' way! Hey Dribble, get over here! Isn't this the guy that got his ass sacked in by Magister Hulka?!

Her and Dribble begin examining Driscoll's face more closely. Afterward they both break out into uncontrolled laughter.

[Dribble]: Holy smokes, I think it is! Traded in your uniform for a shiny suit of armor, huh?

[Wade]: What are you guys talking about?

[Tripp]: This guy used to be a Plumber, but we caught him stealing our tech and selling it on the market. So he got canned as soon as the Magisters caught wind of it.

[Dribble]: He's glad that's all they did to him. I would've shot him out of the airlock for something like that.

[Tripp]: Even that would be too good for him.

[Driscoll]: You will watch your tone when you speak to the Forever King!

[Dribble]: Oh please, you couldn't even be king of cleaning the latrines at the training facility.

Driscoll is absolutely seething, and you even think that Enoch is cracking a smile underneath that mask of his.

As they lock all of the knights into containment cells, you time out early and walk back over to your family.

[Wade]: Show's over!

At your verbal command, your costume retreats back into your watch after being broken down by tiny nano-machines.

[Phil]: Wow, now that was fancy. Where'd you learn how to do that?

[Wade]: The watch walked me through it.

[Kirby]: As much as I hate to say it, it's a good idea to keep the costume. At least that way you won't have to deal with having a rogue's gallery or an arch-nemesis.

[Olivia]: But wouldn't it be cool to have at least one recurring villain show up to destroy us? I just feel like it makes your life so much more enriching.

Do you mention the mission?

You sit down to explain the entire situation to them. Phil and Kirby look worried, but Olivia is trying to contain her excitement.

[Phil]: So Koba wants you to break into the most dangerous prion in the galaxy?! Why didn't he run this by me first?

[Wade]: No idea. His guys did say something about it being dangerous to openly communicate with each other over open comms.

[Phil]: He's getting desperate, and if that's the case then the council must be getting even more desperate.

[Kirby]: I remember Incarcecon. Those were good times.

[Wade]: You've been there?

[Kirby]: Yeah, in my dimension. But there's no telling how different yours is. Considering there's a 5 year difference and all.

[Wade]: Was Myaxx dangerous in your dimension?

[Kirby]: Oh yeah. She was one of the strongest women I've ever known. But, that doesn't mean that she's a bad person. Despite her faults, I think she was a good person deep down.

You breathe a sigh of relief.

[Kirby]: But don't let that cloud your judgement. She might be different here, and I don't want you judging people based on how they were in my dimension.

[Wade]: You mean like Ghostfreak?

It seems you've caught Kirby off guard with that shade that you're throwing,

[Kirby]: Ok, I will give you that one.

[Olivia]: So did you accept the mission?

[Wade]: Yeah, I did. But we're going to be doing it alone. they said that a big team would compromise the integrity of the mission. It'd make it really hard to move around unnoticed.

[Olivia]: So, we can't come? What if you get in trouble?

[Wade]: Then I'll handle it. I have the Plumbers and Kevin watching my back.

You turn around to see Tripp and Dribble wrestling one of the Forever Knights to the ground after he tries to escape from them.

[Wade]: ...Kevin. Kevin will watch my back.

[Phil]: When's this happening?

[Wade]: 4 days from now. Hopefully it won't take too long. Oh right! I almost forgot! Hey Kirby, wanna see a Kaiju?

[Kirby]: A what?

You lead Kirby to the cave entrance that's still blocked by your diamond wall.

[Kirby]: Why couldn't you just say "giant monster"? That's a lot more understandable.

[Wade]: It just feels more exciting to say it like that.

[Kirby]: So why are we going in there with the giant monster?

[Wade]: I think there are still a few knights in there and we can't let them wake that thing up again.

[Kirby]: Fine, this better be worth it.

What do you do?

>Choose an alien to get through the wall.(Which one?)
>Choose an alien and drill into the side of the cave wall.(Which one?)

You decide to leave the diamond wall alone so that it won't be able to escape if it wakes up. You instead select Snotrocket and form the goo on your nose into a drill. After about a minute or two of drilling, you create a hole wide enough for a human and tiny dinosaur to fit through. Kirby climbs through, dusts his coat off and creates a mana orb as a source of light.

[Kirby]: You said that there were Knights in here?

[Wade]: Yeah, but I don't see them anywhere. I thought they'd be by the entrance waiting to get out.

Kirby simply scowls a bit and continues walking deeper into the cave. You follow close behind him, only to find weapons and armor strewn all over the floor. Once you reach the end of the cave, you see a massive hole where the creature used to be! And those empty suits of armor must have been...those trapped knights.

[Kirby]: I'm not seeing a giant monster, but that sure is a giant monster sized hole.

[Wade]: Uh-oh...

What do you do?

>Jump down the hole and try to see where it leads.

You time out early and open up the Omnitrix to choose another. After settling on Bloodrush, you look back at Kirby for a moment.

[Wade]: I'm gonna go after it. You probably won't be able to keep up, so I'll tell you when I find it.

You slam down hard on the watch and transform into Bloodrush! After your eyes adjust to the darkness of the cave, you jump down the hole and begin maneuvering through the tunnels. You can hear Kirby screaming at you to wait for backup, but you decide to ignore him. You can't let that thing escape! After several sharp turns at around 200mph, your path is blocked by a cave-in. Did he know that you were following him?

Suddenly, your sensitive ears pick up some vibrations from above your location. Curious, you fold your wings around yourself and turn yourself into spinning drill in order to dig yourself out of the tunnels. After you surface, you see the reason why you were blocked off. The entire road in front of you has been collapsed split in to, probably the work of the creature that you were pursuing. Cars are rusted and crushed, and buildings are demolished in his wake. You fly up high in the air and use your superhuman vision in order to find him.

You manage to spot him about 30 miles away from your location, and you're unsure as to how he moved so quickly in such a short amount of time. You fly over to where he is and it appears that he has his eyes set on an innocent bystander trapped under some debris.

You wrap your wing around a broken telephone pole and pull with all your might so that it whips toward the Kaiju. As he's about to sink his teeth into the trapped civilian, the telephone pole hits him in the face and breaks off into splinters. He turns around to attack the source of the attack, only to see a red blur that flies behind him and retrieves the civilian. After you've gotten her to safety, she runs off and alerts the Kaiju to your position. He roars loudly at you and you shield your sensitive ears in order to protect them.

You wrap your wings around the foundations of the crumbling house behind the Kaiju and pull with all your might. The creature raises its tentacles and tries to grab you with them, but they don't reach you before the building crushes the Kaiju underneath it. Its tentacles go limp and they begin to retract the rubble. You don't think that killed it, but it should be enough to slow it down. Now to think of a way to lead this thing to your team.

Just then, a large shadow looms over you and darkens the entire town! Whatever this thing is, you didn't hear it coming at all. You look up to see a giant airship appearing out of thin air, most likely disabling some sort of high tech cloaking device. Next thing you know, a giant Pterosaur of some sort fly down near you whilst loudly screeching.

[Wade]: Another one?! How many dinosaurs am I gonna run into today?!

[Zak]: Whoa, did you guys hear that?! This cryptid can talk!

You turn around to see a kid with white and black hair, a very attractive woman with white hair, and a buff dark-skinned man with a wicked scar. And towering over them all is a large Sasquatch-like creature.

[Doc]: Wouldn't be the first time, and it won't be the last.

[Drew]: Watch yourself, honey. I've never seen one quite like this before...

The Sasquath just babbles, but everyone treats it as if it's normal.

Who the hell are these guys?!

(And we're back! I have no idea what kind of bullshit I was on to have so many spelling errors, but let's give it another go.)

[Wade]: Who are you guys?

[Zak]: Wouldn't you like to know?

The tan boy's eyes begin to glow bright orange, and he stares at you so hard that you think he was trying to burn a hole through you with his gaze alone.

[Wade]: Uh...what're you looking at?

The boy seems surprised that he accomplished nothing by staring at you for 15 seconds straight.

[Zak]: Huh?! It didn't work...

[Doc]: Then this isn't an ordinary cryptid.

[Drew]: Or maybe it isn't a cryptid at all.

The other two stare at the white-haired woman in confusion. She turns to you and puts away her flaming sword for a moment.

[Drew]: What's your name?

[Wade]: I've kinda got a secret identity to keep here. You understand.

You notice how none of them have their faces covered.

[Wade]: Actually, I guess you guys in particular wouldn't understand. By the way, currently an alien, but most of the time I'm human.

The kid looks pretty excited, but the others seem skeptical.

[Doc]: Alien's? Really? Did Beeman put you up to this?

[Drew]: Oh come on, Doc. We've seen weirder things than aliens.

[Wade]: Yeah, like a bigfoot and a literal dinosaur.

[Zak]: I had no idea that aliens existed! This is so cool!

The boy walks up to you and starts poking you. The Sasquatch follows closely behind him as if to protect him. Without thinking you start poking at it's fur, and it jumps in response. For a guy his size, he's a bit of a scaredy cat.

[Wade]: Totally! Before five minutes ago, I didn't believe Sasquatch existed either!

The both of you just stare in sheer amazement of the other.

[Doc]: Zak! Get back over here! He could be dangerous.

[Drew]: Oh lighten up, Doc. If he wanted to hurt us, he would've done something already.

[Doc]: Oh yeah? Then how do you explain this mess?

He gestures toward the wreckage of the town.

[Wade]: Oh, no that wasn't me. There's your culprit!

You point to the Kaiju rising out of the wreckage of the demolished house. Your new friends pull out their weapons and take a combat ready stance.

You fly toward the Zak's dinosaur and try calling out to it.

[Wade]: Hey, I need your help. Can this thing understand me?

[Zak]: Her name is Zon.

[Wade]: Fine. Can Zon understand me?

Zon screeches loudly at you in confirmation.

[Wade]: I'll take that as a yes. I need you to help me distract the Kaiju over there. Think you can handle it?

Zon screeches louder than before and quickly dives toward the beast.

[Wade]: Clever girl...

[Doc]: Be careful, Drew...

You fly after her and start zipping past the Kaiju to annoy it. It tries to swat at you with its big meaty claws and its tentacles, but neither hit you or Zon. You've only recently met this creature, but you and her have great coordination! Or maybe it's instinct? Either way, you are annoying the hell out of this thing. While you do so, Drew runs up to the Kaiju and starts hacking off tentacles. It tries to counter by swatting at her, but Zon drops a mailbox on its head and puts it off balance. You have no idea when she even picked that up! Drew take advantage of this and slices off the rest of its extra appendages, making the short stubs ooze a type of blue translucent liquid.

[Wade]: Whoa, where can I learn how to do that?

[Drew]: Try Tibet. I hear it's lovely around this time of year.

Drew seems to have heard you thinking out loud.

[Wade]: That might be a little out of the way of my vacation plans. Maybe if you had a brochure on hand...

Your cheeky banter is cut short by the monster throwing a tantrum. He attempts to snap at Drew with his giant gaping maw, but Doc runs up and punches it square in the jaw! The creature recoils from the punch, and the gauntlet he wields isn't damaged at all!

You start wondering where Zak is, only to find him slinging a propane tank at the Kaiju with his claw-staff thing.

[Zak]: Mom, heads up!

[Drew]: On it, honey!

Drew raises her sword in the air and shoots a stream of fire at the propane tank as it nears the Kaiju's face. The resulting explosion knocks the creature on its back and causes it to groan in pain.

[Wade]: Nice work!

[Zak]: Same to you!

[Drew]: Doc, get the containment field generator from the airship. Zak, go help him.

[Zak]: Aww, but mom...

[Drew]: No buts, young man! Me and our new friend will keep an eye on this big fella.

Doc seems to be wary of you, while Zak is sad to have his conversation interrupted. The airship lowers itself toward the ground and lands somewhere in the distance.

[Wade]: Hey, thanks for the assist. And for trusting me.

Drew gives you a warm smile and places her hands on her hips.

[Drew]: Call it women's intuition, but I just had a feeling that you weren't there to hurt anybody. You seem like a nice guy.

[Wade]: I was just cleaning up my mess. I didn't think this guy would escape the cave I trapped him in.

[Drew]: Well lucky for you that we were in the area.

[Wade]: Speaking of, who are you guys and why are you chasing giant monsters?

[Drew]: We're the Saturdays, and our job is to observe and protect creatures that go undiscovered by man. The job also involves knocking them out if they go around causing trouble in populated areas.

[Wade]: So you guys hunt monsters every day?!

[Drew]: Well hunting monsters isn't the point, we mostly study them. They call people lie us "Secret scientists".

[Wade]: Why's it gotta be secret? Wouldn't everyone that was here today know about this Kaiju?

[Drew]: We can't erase people's memories, so we take our victories when we can.

You both turn around to see the Rust Bucket pull up behind you, and your family hops out to greet you.

[Phil]: Wade! You ok?! Where'd the creature go?

You start signaling grandpa to stop yelling your name, but it's too late.

[Drew]: So your name is Wade, huh?

[Wade]: No it's a...acronym! W.A.D.E. stands for "Weird alien destroying evil"...

She adopts a smug grin. She's not buying it!

[Drew]: Either way, I'm gonna call you Wade.

Dammit!!

[Kirby]: No way! The Saturdays are here?! How old is Zak now?

Drew looks confused and a little creeped out by your hobo mentor getting in her business.

[Wade]: He's from another dimension, so try to be patient with him. He might've known you there.

Kirby waves furiously with a big goofy grin on his face, while Drew smiles awkwardly and waves back. Kirby's bag actually turns itself and bites him in the leg, causing him to scream in pain and stop waving.

[Kirby]: I was just being friendly! And no I don't have a crush on her anymore.

Drew looks way more creeped out than before. You try to change the subject.

[Wade]: Hey! Who wants to see the inside of an airship?!

Everyone turns their attention to you. You plead with your eyes for Drew to play along, and thankfully she does.

After Doc and Zak use the containment field generator, they transport the Kaiju onto the airship. Olivia and Phil look around their airship in amazement, but Kirby doesn't seem to be phased. He did say that he's been here before. You time out soon afterward, revealing your human form to everyone. The Saturdays are very impressed by your Omnitrix and it's functions.

[Zak]: You guys want a tour?

The Sasquatch named Fiskerton babbles incoherently, but Zak seems to understand him perfectly. He's actually a pretty friendly guy.

[Olivia]: Ooh, can we?

[Doc]: If you promise to be careful and not touch anything.

What do you do?

You and Olivia decide to go on the tour with Zak and Fiskerton. Zon flies off somewhere, but Zak doesn't seem bothered by it so you don't pay it any mind. Before she gets out of range, you scan her with your Omnitrix in order to collect her DNA sample. This catches the attention of the rest of the Saturdays.

[Omnitrix]: Error: DNA sample unable to be collected.

Damn, again?! What makes cryptids any different from aliens?

[Zak]: Uh, what was that?

[Wade]: Oh sorry, I was just trying to get a DNA sample from her. I want to know if i can change into these guys. It didn't even work on the Kaiju we fought earlier. I wonder why.

[Zak]: Wanna try it on Fisk?

Fisk protest strongly, but you quickly scan him anyway. Fisk screams and hide behind Zak in response to your scan. You get the same error message from before, with something extra at the end.

[Omnitrix]: Unknown interference detected. Anomaly unable to identified.

[Wade]: Anomally? Weird...

You decide to figure it out later and move on with the tour.

[Zak]: Here we have the main control room. We pilot the ship and regulate most of the technical stuff from here. Mom and Dad deal with most of that, so I'm not allowed to touch any of the controls yet. Moving on!

He leads you to a very large kitchen that looks like it belongs in a 5 star restaurant. It has several fully stocked refrigerators and even a double sink for dishes!

[Zak]: This is the Kitchen. It's where we...well you know what kitchens are used for.

Olivia runs to the fridge to scope out it's contents. She squeals in excitement from what she finds.

[Olivia]: I can't believe it!

[Wade]: What is it?!

[Olivia]: You guys actually have normal food in here! No anchovy ice cream or sourdough sorbet! Actual people food.

[Zak]: Yeah why wouldn't we have people food? People live here.

[Olivia]: How come they have monsters, but they still have more normal food than we do?!

[Wade]: You need to be more adventurous with your cuisine.

[Olivia]: Oh I'm plenty adventurous, cuz. But there's a limit to how far you can go until it can't be qualified as food anymore.

Zak decides to move the tour along since your argument was getting pretty heated. He takes you to large room that houses weapons that you've never seen before. It looks a lot like an armory, actually.

[Zak]: This is the weapons vault. We store our weapons in here, so I'm not allowed in here either. Let's move on before we get caught.

>Snag a weapon before you leave. (Collapsable Bo staff, Twin sai, energy pistol, some metal bracelet)

As you think of accepting the deal, you suddenly realize that you can't bear to part with your sweet hover board. You quickly snatch it back from Zak's hands.

[Wade]: On second though, I like my board.

[Olivia]: You better. That was a gift that I stole for you.

She playfully nudges you and any animosity that might have been lingering seems to be gone. Your arguments were always short-lived anyways. You all move on to a massive greenhouse that contains fauna that you've never seen before. As you admire the scenery, a lizard of some sort brushes past your leg. You jump away from it instinctively, and you're glad that you did! That's a Komodo Dragon!

[Zak]: Oh don't worry, that's Komodo. He's one of us.

How creative. He hisses at you menacingly, so you don't dare to get any closer to it. It appears to be wearing some weird suit that's torn to shreds.

[Zak]: Aww, Komodo! You destroyed your cloak-suit again!

[Wade]: Cloak suit?

[Zak]: Komodo can camouflage, so we use this suit to plug him directly into the shield generator. Using this, we can cloak our ship!

[Wade]: So that's why I couldn't see it before! But Won't everyone notice a giant shadow looming over cities?

[Zak]: We're still working on that. Hey, you guys wanna see our room?!

[Wade]: Just a sec. Gonna try scanning your friend.

You scan Komodo, but you get the same result as before. You expected as much. Komodo turns invisible and scurries off somewhere, but you're just glad that he's nowhere near you. Zak brings you to his room, and it honestly looks like everything a 10 year old boy could ask for! It has a jungle gym, tire swing, monkey bars, bunk beds, and so much more!

[Zak]: Yeah sorry, I've had the same room all my life so it's always been like this. The jungle gym is good for exercise though. Fisk thinks so too!

Fisk begins playing on the jungle gym and displays his superhuman agility and coordination. Zak quickly gets over his embarrassment and start playing with him too.

[Zak]: And that's the end of the tour! Well, at least for the places that I'm allowed to take you.

[Wade]: So, what do you do for fun around here?

Olivia has joined Fisk in swinging on the monkey bars.

[Zak]: Mostly what I'm doing right now. When we aren't going on adventures, I usually play with Fisk, Zon and Komodo. Things have gotten a lot more peaceful after we beat Argost though.

[Wade]: Argost? Like V.V. Argost? That guy from Weird World? His show was pretty sweet. I never knew that he was a bad guy.

[Zak]: I used to love watching his show, but he was a seriously bad dude. Like threaten all of humanity bad. Did you know that he was a cryptid?!

[Wade]: No way! Cryptids can get their own TV shows?!

[Zak]: I guess if you're rich enough you can get just about anything.

[Wade]: What ever happened to him, anyway? I heard his show got cancelled.

[Zak]: He exploded after he took both my powers and my negative clone's powers.

[Wade]: There's a lot of context missing from that statement.

[Zak]: It's a long story. The point is that we beat him and that's the end of it. I also got my powers back eventually. No idea why though. Mom and Dad say it's because I had a sliver of Kur's essence left within me. But it's kinda weaker than before.

[Wade]: You mean that glowing eye thing you did before? And who's Kur?

[Zak]: Kur was an ancient dragon that ruled over all the other cryptids. He could use his powers to influence other cryptids to make them do what he wanted. And apparently I'm a reincarnation of Kur, so I have his powers too.

[Wade]: Wait, you're a dragon?!

[Zak]: Kinda, it's pretty complicated. I think magic and some ancient tablet might have been involved at some point during my childhood. But that's a story for another day.

[Wade]: So you're like half human, half cryptid. That's pretty cool!

[Zak]: Not as cool as turning into aliens whenever you feel like it!

Both of you bump fists and have a bit of a bro moment.

[Wade]: While we're on the topic, do you have any idea why I can't scan cryptid DNA?

[Zak]: If I were to give it my best guess, I think it might be due to the mystical nature of cryptids. We don't always know where they come from or how they were created, but we do know that some supernatural aspect plays into their birth. Maybe your watch just can't recognize the magical side of them.

[Wade]: Huh, I never thought of it like that. So cryptids come from magic, but aliens come from nature?

Zak just shrugs at you. Maybe Azmuth knows more about this kind of stuff. You'll have to remember to ask him later. Just then, the intercom sparks to life and you hear Doc's voice broadcast throughout the ship.

[Doc]: Hey kids, come back to the bridge. You're gonna want to see this.

You all look at each other in confusion and run to the bridge.

(Continued in Next Post)
>>
You arrive at the bridge and find everyone waiting for you.

[Doc]: Good, you're here. We managed to pull some info from the cryptid and his background.

[Drew]: And luckily your friend here managed to snag a few pics of the carvings in that cave.

She points to Kirby and you give him a puzzled look.

[Kirby]: What can I say, I like to be prepared.

[Drew]: We found out that the creature is known as a Questing Beast, or as the Beast Glatisant.

[Wade]: What does that mean?

[Zak]: Barking Beast.

[Doc]: According to Arthurian legend, the beast has been the subject of hunts undertaken by legendary knights many years ago. They're generally viewed as bad omens, but whoever manages to successfully kill one is destined for greatness.

[Wade]: So there's more than one?

[Drew]: Possibly. We know that there are multiple accounts of the Questing Beast appearing in folklore, so it wouldn't be unusual to think that there might be others lurking around the world.

[Phil]: So you think Enoch wanted to gain status by killing it?

[Olivia]: He was trying to control it with that amulet, so I don't think he cared about status. But what he wanted to do with it afterward is anyone's guess.

[Kirby]: So we'll have to make sure that they don't dig up anymore of these creatures that could potentially decimate entire cities. How exactly would we find them anyway?

[Doc]: That's where Zak comes in.

[Zak]: I may not be able to manipulate cryptids as well anymore, but I can still feel them if I concentrate. This staff can channel Kur's energy and I can even track and locate them if I use the meditation room.

[Wade]: Kinda like a cryptid Cerebro!

[Zak]: Exactly!

[Kirby]: So I guess you guys have this all under control?

[Doc]: We'll handle things from here. If we need you, we might call you in for backup.

[Zak]: And don't hesitate to call us if you need anything! I'd love to team up again.

[Drew]: Here's our number. Don't give it out. We're called the secret scientists for a reason, and we'd like to keep it that way.

You go to sit in the front with Grandpa to keep him company.

[Wade]: Hey Grandpa, you ever meet anyone on earth like the Saturdays?

[Phil]: No I haven't, and that worries me. I tried my hardest to get off of this rock and see the stars, but I don't know anything about what's going on with my home planet. The Forever Knights, The Saturdays, Providence, cryptids, magic and these legendary monsters. I didn't know about any of it. It makes me wonder, what else don't I know about?

[Wade]: Hey this was all new to me about 2 weeks ago.

[Phil]: And you've been taking it in stride. Hell, you've embraced the weirdness of the world and the galaxy. I'm surprised you can even function with all of these sudden realizations you're coming across.

[Wade]: You're an alien cop. I'm sure you've seen and experienced so much more than I have.

[Phil]: Retired alien cop. And I have, but I never thought anything could surprise me anymore. It's like I spent my whole life exploring the galaxy, but I don't know anything about it. I haven't learned anything about alien planets and the strange nature of our universe, let alone my own planet. These past few days, I had to realize that I didn't know a damn thing about what's going on. Maybe that's what happens when you get old.

[Wade]: Well, that isn't a bad thing. It can be exciting too. Now you know that even after all these years, you haven't even scratched the surface. There's so much more to discover, and the universe is begging you to find them. When Verdona takes us to space, we can make it our own little personal adventure. It'll be fun!

Grandpa cracks a genuine smile and starts laughing.

[Phil]: I can't believe that I'm looking forward to my grand-son getting kidnapped by his psycho alien stalker. When you put it that way it does sound fun.

He looks like he's entertaining the idea in his head.

[Phil]: Ok, let's do it! We'll call it the "Galactic Road-Trip"!

[Wade]: "The best summer vacation in the multiverse. Coming to a theater near you in 2020!" Sounds good to me.

The both of you joke with one another for a while longer before you finally reach the first rest-stop. You really feel like you've helped Phil to get over his conflicted emotions

Once you stop, you get out and head to nearby park. There, you begin scanning any animal that you come across. This includes squirrels, birds and some fish that you found in a river. The Omnitrix has no problem scanning and identifying them, but the DNA samples aren't being accepted for some reason. You aren't sure what makes cryptids different normal animals. Zak's explanation didn't satisfy your curiosity, so you decided to do some experiments of your own.

[Kirby]: Man you must be desperate for new transformation to be doing this.

Kirby seems to have stumbled upon your experiment.

[Wade]: I need to find out why the Omnitrix won't scan cryptids. It won;t even take samples from normal animals.

[Kirby]: Each and every sample you try to take is sent to the Codon Stream, and if it deems the sample unnecessary or somehow dangerous, then it won't take it.

[Wade]: What's the Codon Stream? And why does it think some samples are unnecessary?

[Kirby]: The Codon Stream is a planet that houses the DNA samples of every alien that you're allowed to transform into. Think of it as unlimited storage. It appraises each and every sample that you take, but it won't take a sample that seems too similar to one you've already taken. Like that squirrel that you scanned. The Omnitrix already has Zipmunk, so it isn't likely to take it. It doesn't need DNA that's too similar to another one.

[Wade]: So you're telling me that this earth squirrel is too closely related to Zipmunk, so I can't take a sample from another squirrel or member of Zipmunk's species?

[Kirby]: Exactly.

[Wade]: But that doesn't make any sense. I don't have any bird aliens or fish aliens. And why would their DNA be so closely related that the Omnitrix deems the sample unnecessary?

[Kirby]: You mean that you don't have a bird or fish alien that you know of yet. Remember what I said about the Omnitrix being like a fridge. It's got some hidden goodies just waiting to be discovered. And I'm not too sure how the Omnitrix judges samples, but that's the best explanation that I've got. You'd have to ask Azmuth for a better answer.

[Wade]: What about the cryptid problem?

[Kirby]: I've got no idea. That's anyone's guess, but don't let that stop you from being curious. Scan anything you think has potential as a transformation. Maybe the Saturdays can help with that once we get this whole Questing Beast problem solved.

[Wade]: Maybe. Thanks for the lesson, teach.

[Kirby]: No problem, gramps.

He puts his arm around your shoulder and walks back to the RV with you.

Meanwhile...

Sixsix sits patiently, waiting for the guards to slip up during his transport. Suddenly, he hears the familiar sound of a plasma shot zipping through the air and impacting the side of the vehicle. His head perks up slightly, because he recognizes the rifle that the shot came from. It's custom made, only owned by one person. And she's gonna tear his ass wide-open when she realizes that he failed to collect such an easy bounty.

The Plumbers begin to panic and bark orders at one another, but he notices that the amount of voices are decreasing with each blaster shot that he hears. Whoever's shooting is good. And it appears that his worst fears are being realized.

He suddenly hears shots ringing out on the other side of the truck as well. most likely flanking the guards seeking cover from the sniper. And from the sounds of it, he's caught them all of guard. After a few moments of silence, the back door of his transport if opened. And what he sees terrifies him. It's his siblings, Sevenseven and Eighteight! Both of them wearing their signature purple armor. Eighteight's being slimmer than the others of course.

Sevenseven aims his hand cannon at Sixsix and destroys his restraints with a few well placed blaster shots. After being freed, he slowly steps off the vehicle.

*The following is translated from Sotoraggian

[Sevenseven]: Your welcome, little brother.

[Sixsix]: I could've gotten out on my own.

[Eighteight]: Right, like how you collected that bounty from a planet with level 2 tech.

[Sixsix]: I ran into a Raskadarian. Fried my suit and left me for the Plumbers.

[Sevenseven]: That's what you get for going after such a meager bounty. You couldn't even buy Lepidopterran stink sacs with that little pay.

[Eighteight]: Why do you know how much Lepidopterran stink sacs cost?

[Sevenseven]: None of your business, that's how!

[Sixsix]: What do you guys want?

[Eighteight]: We've been hired for a job, and we thought that we'd split the bounty with you.

Thye toss him a hefty pouch of taydens

[Sixsix]: They paid you in advance?! How much?

[Sevenseven]: Enough to last us the next 10 years.

[Sixsix]: Who hired us?

[Sevenseven]: Incursions. Seems that they're planning something big. You game?

A dying Plumber attempts to get pick himself up and fire a shot at Sixsix's back. But Sixsix extends several metal tentacles from his back and grabs the weapon while snapping the neck of the guard with the remaining ones. He drops his lifeless body to the ground and retracts his tentacles back into his body.

[Sixsix]: Yeah, I'm game.

His siblings hand him his signature dual blasters and they proceed to their ship.

After you made it back to the RV, Grandpa set course to Louisiana. He didn't exactly specify which part he was going to, so he probably wants it to be a surprise. It takes a few hours to leave Mississippi, so all of you managed to rest up a bit before hitting the road again. You offered Kirby your bed for the night, but he just refused and pulled out a creepy looking sleeping bag that looks similar to that bag he's always talking to. You kinda wish he'd stop doing that, but you know that he's a good guy at heart.

>12 days until your birthday
>3 days until the prison break

You wake up feeling refreshed and well rested. Grandpa is already back at the wheel and on the road before you even get up. He always was an early riser.

[Wade]: Morning.

[Olivia]: Morning! Look at what I found!

You lean over to look at Olivia laptop and see that she's been looking up her charm on some occult website.

[Wade]: Says here that these things are called the "Charms of Bezel" and each one bestows a different ability. And whoever collects all of them becomes an all powerful sorcerer. The one that I have grants good luck or something. I wonder who has the other ones.

She examines her charm for a moment. Some of the things that she's been doing recently are starting to make sense. Like her going all Captain America on the bad guys you've been facing.

[Wade]: Maybe we should try collecting the rest. We should keep an eye out for the rest.

[Olivia]: Exactly what I was thinking. It would be a shame if they fell into the wrong hands.

[Wade]: Are there any other charms that we can get?

[Olivia]: Let's see...

She begin tapping away at her keyboard.

[Olivia]: The ones that are listed are: The Charm of Luck and Probability, Charm of Resurrection, Charm of Pyrokinesis, Charm of Telekinesis, Charm of Electrokinesis, and then there's the Keystone of Bezel.

[Wade]: Well most of those are pretty self-explanatory. What's the Keystone do?

[Olivia]: Says here that the Keystone increases the power of all of the gems tenfold. That's pretty crazy...

[Wade]: Then we definitely can't let anyone else get their hands on this.

She nods in confirmation and tells you that she's going to do a bit more research for the time being. You remember that you got Olivia's charm from Mother, but you aren't sure where she got it from, or if she has any others. And if a criminal gets their hands on one, then you're all gonna be in trouble. You shoo away these negative thoughts and decide to go bug Grandpa for a bit.

[Phil]: Morning, champ.

[Wade]: Morning. Where we headed?

[Phil]: Bourbon Street. I hear that they've got great live musical performances and even better food.

[Wade]: New Orleans, huh? You think they'll have any exciting dishes?!

[Phil]: Hope it isn't too exciting. My stomach can't handle spicy foods as well anymore.

You had no idea that there was any food that his stomach couldn't handle!

[Wade]: More for me then!

You mess with him a bit more before you arrive at your destination. Once there, you bask in the atmosphere of neon lights and spice lingering in the air. It's crowded as hell and there are people partying on the balconies, but at least it isn't Mardi Gras yet. Still, there are a lot more tourists than you expected there to be.

[Kirby]: So, what should we eat first?

[Olivia]: Something normal.

[Wade]: Define normal.

[Olivia]: Something that won't add to the "States that Olivia has barfed in" list.

[Kirby]: How about some crayfish? I know a good spot. Well, if it's still in the same place as my home dimension.

What do you go for?

[Wade]: Crayfish sounds good.

[Olivia]: Thank god!

[Phil]: Lead the way.

You all follow Kirby through the bustling streets of New Orleans, and it quickly becomes annoying after he makes sudden turns and second guesses his memory during the trip. It becomes a chore to keep track of your magic hobo mentor in the crowded streets. Eventually, you make it to this fabled restaurant, and it looks pretty dingy. You never would've found it on your own, but at least the food looks and smells pretty good. You all take your seats and wait to be served. Kirby looks especially excited, but you guess that it's mostly due to nostalgia.

Once you get your food, it becomes a battle of who can eat the most crayfish. Olivia and Kirby even manage to steal a few off of your plate. You try to protect your food, only to notice that Grandpa has fallen victim to these two seafood thieves as well. He took too long to peel the shells of the crayfish, and during those brief periods of time, they cleaned his plate for him. These two are ruthless!

[Chef]: How you guys liking the food so far?

[Wade]: Great food, great service, horrible family.

The other two shamelessly stuff their faces as you take a break to talk.

[Phil]: This is why I can't take you guys anywhere.

[Olivia]: I can't help it! It's been so long since I've eaten seafood that wasn't still alive when I ate it.

[Kirby]: I can't believe the recipe is the same in another dimension!

The Chef looks confused and it's pretty understandable. Suddenly, a howl echoes through the night sky. Sounds like a wolf of some sort. Everyone immediately stops what they are doing and looks out the door. It got really quiet all of a sudden. Even the Chef is sweating bullets.

[Wade]: What's going on?

[Chef]: Oh, uh...don't worry about it! Hey you guys want your food to go?

Everyone around you begins asking for take-out bags, and the Chef is swarmed by desperate and impatient people. What's going on?

Suddenly, a werewolf bursts through the door and jumps on your table! He pounces on the Chef and raises a his clawed hand to the air. Everyone panics and runs outside to escape.

What do you do?

>Transform into an alien and save him!(Which one?)

You quickly duck behind your fallen table and open up the watch. You don't have much time to think, so you select Big Chill and slam down hard on the watch.

You rush in to tackle the werewolf and you manage to interrupt him before he gores the chef. You fly straight into the kitchen doors and throw him into a wall. The sheer force of the impact cracks the tiles on the wall, and you manage to freeze him in place before he slides down the wall.

[Wade]: If you want a table you're gonna have to take a number.

The werewolf appears to be...laughing? It does a weird thing where its mouth splits into four parts and widens, revealing row after row of razor sharp fangs. Suddenly, some sort of cloth wraps itself around you, restricting your movement and strangling you! You notice that a mummy of some sort is lowering itself from an air vent that it slipped through. What's with this B-rated horror movie mashup?!

The werewolf appears to be preparing to fire something from its mouth.

What do you do?

Before the werewolf can unleash whatever he's charging up, you freeze his mouth shut with your ice breath. The mummy attempts to strangle you even further, but you simply become incorporeal and phase through his wraps. During the confusion, you grab hold of a bundle of his wraps and toss him at the werewolf.

However, the mummy manages to recover mid-air and latch itself onto the wall that the werewolf is frozen to. His wraps go underneath the cracks that formed in the wall earlier and he begins to pull with all his might. You realize that this mummy is surprisingly strong, because it manages to break through the tiles on the wall and the ice trapping the werewolf there. The rabid dog uses his crushing bite force to break the ice that you used to freeze his mouth shut. Now both of them are free. Great...

The mummy quickly moves to the knife block and begins throwing them at you, while the werewolf attempts to charge up another ranged attack.

What do you do?

You start to fly around the kitchen, evading the knives being thrown at you and the werewolf's sonic attack. It actually sounds like a really loud howl, and it kinda reminds you of Thriller Whale's sonic blast. There's no shortage of sharp cutlery for the mummy to throw at you, and his multiple appendages allow him to throw several at once with great accuracy. That sonic howl doesn't make it any easier either. It completely pulverizes the ceiling and walls as it makes contact with them, kicking up dust and debris to that makes it harder to see.

But you remain patient and keep your wits about you. You slowly maneuver yourself to get closer to them, without being to obvious about it. And when you see your opportunity, you quickly fly between them and phase through the wall to avoid being hit. They most likely thought that you would be trapped by boxing yourself in, and that allowed you to masterfully fool them. The werewolf's sonic blast scatters the mummy to shreds, and the thrown knives nick the wolf near his eye.

You can hear footsteps approaching the kitchen, so you peek outside to see what's happening. And you're surprised to see that they're both gone! Not a trace of them left.

The Chef bursts through the door and panics as he runs to a storage closet in the kitchen. When he opens it, he finds a wrecked room, an empty vault and a gaping hole in the wall. You're guessing that they escaped through there. But then again, the mummy is slim enough to slip through anywhere, so they may have split up.

What do you do?

You stealthily fly over to a store room and undo your transformation.

[Chef]: What? Who's there?!

It seems he say the yellow flash. Maybe you can use that to your advantage.

[Wade]: It's Show Time!

Your costume forms on top of your clothes, molecule by molecule. This creates another purple flash that scares the chef even more. You slowly walk out whilst fiddling with a knife that was used by the mummy. You toss it aside, but it looks like the chef is still visibly shaken.

[Chef]: What do you want?! I don't have anymore money. Those guys from before took it all.

>"Right. A werewolf and a mummy walk into a Cajun restaurant just to rob you blind. What aren't you telling me?"
>"Those 'guys'? How'd you know that there were two? You didn't show up until later."
>"Everyone seemed to get awful jumpy when they heard those howls. What's going on in this town?"

[Wade]: Those "guys"? How'd you know that there were two? You didn't show up until later.

He starts sweating profusely again. He knows something...

[Wade]: You've seen them before haven't you? You and everyone else in this town. But they stole something from you, and I know it wasn't money.

[Chef]: I didn't want to hurt nobody. I just wanted to make some money on the side...

[Wade]: What did he take?

[Chef]: He stole a chunk of Corrodium I was hiding in my store room. You wouldn't understand.

[Wade]: Corrodium? That some sort of alien mineral?

[Chef]: So you know about aliens. That'll make explaining this easier. Valuable mineral that generates crazy amounts of energy. It'll mutate any carbon-based life-form that touches it. Super expensive stuff.

[Wade]: Probably super illegal too.

[Chef]: Hey, I went through a lot of work to harvest this stuff! Had to splurge on a level 12 containment suit and a safe just to contain the stuff. I was gonna get rid of it as soon as my buyer showed up. But ever since that meteor came down, these guys have been running amok shaking down store owners and breaking into people's homes.

[Wade]: Meteor? How recent was this?

[Chef]: About a week ago.

[Wade]: Thanks. I'll be sure to get these guys for you.

[Chef]: Wait! I've got a proposition for you.

You turn around before walking away.

[Chef]: If you manage to get your hands on that Corrodium, I can still probably find a buyer for it. If you bring it back to me, I can cut you a slice of the pie, if you know what I mean.

You just stare at him for a moment.

[Chef]: It means that I'll pay you!

[Wade]: Yeah I got that.

[Chef]: So, what do you say?

>"I'll think about it."

You stay silent for a moment, giving his proposition some thought. On the other hand, if he thinks that you want to help him, then he'll be more inclined to help you. And there might be some money in it for you. But it's not like you do this for the money anyway. Either way, this guy's gonna be answering the Plumbers questions at the end of the night. You'll see to that personally.

[Wade]: I'll think about it.

[Chef]: I knew you'd come around. I bought a tracker in case this sort of thing happened. It can locate any source of Corrodium within a 500 mile radius.

He hands it to you and you examine it for a while before pocketing it.

[Wade]: Oh, and I'll be taking that containment suit too.

The chef laughs for a bit, but then he stops when he realizes that you aren't laughing with him.

[Chef]: You're joking right? I paid good money for that thing!

[Wade]: A containment suit isn't any good without anything to contain. I'd say I'm doing you a favor by thinking of this ahead of time.

[Chef]: I...reckon that you're right. Fine, take it. Just be sure to bring that Corrodium back here when you get it.

[Wade]: Don't worry...

You turn around and walk towards the kitchen door.

[Wade]: You'll get yours.

As you walk outside the restaurant, you find your family waiting for you.

[Olivia]: We got everyone out, but the chef ran back in. Did you get them?

[Wade]: No, they're gone. But I have a way of tracking them.

You show them the tracker, and Grandpa's eyes go wide.

[Phil]: That's...a Corrodium tracker! Those things are carrying Corrodium?! This is bad!

[Kirby]: I agree. We need to get those guys before they can cause anymore damage. But before that we're gonna need a-

[Wade]: Level 12 containment suit? Already got one. But the problem is, I've only got one. I'm gonna go after them, but I need someone else to help me out when I get up close.

They all raise their hands to volunteer.

[Wade]: You do all know that this stuff can severely mutate you right?

[Olivia]: Not until you told me just now. But it can't mutate me if I'm in the suit, right? I feel like my luck will protect me.

[Kirby]: I won't be able to use magic as well with that suit on, but I've got other tricks up my sleeve.

[Phil]: I've got a gun...

Everyone looks at Grandpa quizzically.

[Phil]: What? I thought we were highlighting our advantages.

Who will you choose to go with you?

>Olivia. Her luck will come in handy.

[Wade]: Grandpa, you and your gun are with me.

The others seem a bit disappointed, but they understand nonetheless. Grandpa was the obvious choice due to his wisdom and combat experience. Also...gun!

The others decided that they’d help out by assisting with surveillance. You have no idea what that means, but you agree anyways. Olivia dons her costume and waits in the RV while Kirby scatters a bunch of lego pieces all over the floor. He crosses his legs while sitting on the floor and begins meditating.

[Olivia]: Aww, my legos!

[Kirby]: Quiet. I’m concentrating...

You notice that he’s putting a great deal of focus on slowing his breathing. After a while, he begins to hover a few feet above the floor and his eyes are now glowing green! The lego pieces that he spilled earlier are orbiting around him. Then suddenly, they all stop and fall to the floor in an orderly fashion. They shift and move around the floor on their own, as if they were alive.

[Kirby]: There. Now I can more or less track the movement of anything or anyone nearby. You and Grandpa can go on ahead to where the Corrodium is. We’ll catch up eventually.

You nod to him and open up your watch.

You decide to hop on your hover board and save the transformation for later. You've got some practice in, so you think that you'll be fine. It is a little bit awkward with Grandpa riding on the back though. It gets a bit difficult to maneuver with the two of you on the board, but you mange to fly over to the source of the Corrodium signal after a few minutes. After settling down on a nearby roof, you see that the signal is coming from an abandoned factory building directly across from you. You also notice that there are strange creatures skulking around the premises. They have purple skin, horribly misshapen bodies, razor sharp claws and torn clothing.

[Wade]: Aliens?

[Phil]: No, humans. They've been mutated by Corrodium exposure.

[Wade]: That's what that stuff does to you?!

[Phil]: Yup. So make sure that they don't touch you when you're in human form.

[Wade]: I'll be careful, and you do the same.

[Phil]: Of course. How do you want to play this?

[Wade]: Let's go loud. I'll draw their attention, while you sneak inside and find that Corrodium.

[Phil]: Got it. Don't be afraid to fall back if you get overwhelmed. We have no idea of exactly how many of them are in the area.

[Wade]: Don't worry. I've got this! It's Show Time!

You say your catchphrase and your costume automatically latches itself onto your body before you can even slam down on the watch. With a bright purple flash, your skin is covered in a a tough mineral immediately after your costume forms. You feel yourself grow a couple of feet, so you're pretty sure the transformation was a success. This would have been a pretty bad time for the watch to malfunction. You nod to Grandpa and he nods back as he takes your hover board and jumps from the roof. You follow up by jumping with him and crashing down to the ground. The loud noise draws the attention of every nearby mutant, and you can hear their violent screeches in the distance.

You raise your fists to their air and slam them down to the ground, creating a powerful shockwave of earth and crystal. But it ends up being much more powerful than you expected it to be. Rather than the shockwave knocking them away, a giant mass of crystal forms from the ground and takes out every mutant in sight. It continues to spread until it smashes straight through the front of the warehouse, creating a massive gaping hole in wall. The mass of crystal would be better described as a glacier that grew up from the ground. Even you're impressed by this turn of events. This guy must be more powerful than you thought.

Suddenly, a swarm of mutants run out of the factory and investigate the commotion. They must've been guarding the Corrodium inside. Grandpa's gonna have a much easier time getting to it now.

When the mutants spot you, they screech wildly and make a mad dash for you.

You don't really feel like roughing these guys up any more than you have to. You did your job and caused a big enough distraction for Grandpa. You create a crystal teepee big enough to contain the remaining mutants. It doesn't take much effort on your part, and they scramble over each other in order to escape, but to no avail.

[Wade]: Sit tight. I'll let you out when I get that Corrodium.

You walk towards the hole you made in the warehouse and slip through the gap between the broken wall and your crystal glacier. The spikes on your back make it a bit difficult though. After you enter, you notice that it's eerily silent inside. Every step you take echoes throughout the building as you crush bits of rubble underfoot. You know that the monsters must have heard your dynamic entrance earlier, so they must be hiding. Eventually, you come across a giant hole in the ground that extends to the deepest depths of the warehouse. You see a couple of thick electrical cables that reach down to the bottom of the hole.

[Wade]: Must be the place. This just screams "Bad guy's lair". Going down...

You jump down the giant hole, confident in your ability to land unharmed. It takes about 15 seconds to for you to reach the bottom. In order to slow your fall, you grab onto the nearby cables and slide down the rest of the way. You raise your head to look around, and you see a crater full of a purple crystal that you're assuming is the Corrodium.

[Wade]: Well that was easy to find.

Suddenly, a blaster bolt soars over your head and impacts the werewolf. He's sent flying into a table, and you look over to see that your Grandpa was the source of the bolt. he must have been watching your back from atop the balcony. He gives you a thumbs up, and you return it before turning around to face the werewolf.

[Wade]: Where's your friend?

As you say that, the mummy's wraps entangle you and lift you off the ground! Why were they both on the ceiling?!

The werewolf lets out a sonic howl directed at Grandpa, forcing him to move from his position.

What do you do?

>Drag the mummy down from the ceiling and pull him into a punch.

You focus on growing crystals on your body to weigh yourself down, and the additional weight causes the mummy to struggle with holding you up.

Eventually, he he's unable to keep his grasp on the railing that he hangs from, and he falls while letting you go. The werewolf notices your shadow growing around him and manages to dodge out if the way just in time to avoid being crushed. The mummy lands behind you and prepares for another attack.

What do you do?

>Tell Grandpa to throw a grenade while you create some cover for yourself.
>Tell Grandpa to provide covering fire for you while you focus on encasing the mummy in crystal.
>Tell Grandpa to provide covering fire while you focus on beating down the werewolf.
>Grab one of the heavy cables, cover it in spiky crystals and use it as a bladed whip against these two.
>Take both of them on with your bladed arms while Grandpa fires at them from above.

[Wade]: Grandpa, focus on the werewolf while I put this mummy in the ground!

[Grandpa]: On it!

He fires a few shots at the werewolf, but he swiftly dodges them all by running from side to side. You reach to grab for the mummy, but he unravels his body so that you only manage to grab on of his wraps. You try to focus on encasing the strand that you grabbed in crystal, but the mummy manages to toss you into a wall before you can do much of anything. You noticed how strong he was before, but you never realized that he could toss you around like this. You struggle to wrestle free of his grasp, only to be thrown into a rusty metal machine. The mummy appears to say something that sounds like a raspy whisper. If you didn't know any better, you'd think he was mocking you.

[Wade]: I'm just warming up!

You took some damage from being slammed into stuff, but you can definitely keep fighting!

What do you do?

>Run into a wall and trap him in a crystal prison.
>Create spikes on your body to tear this mummy to shreds.
>Tie him on up the industrial machine behind you.

You grab up as much of the mummy's wraps that you can fit into your hands and charge straight into the wall. It tires to restrain your legs while you're running, but you tear right through his bandages and slam him into the wall. You create a web of crystal that spreads out to restrain any loose bandage that it comes in contact with. Once you've got the loose ends tied up, you encase his torso and head in crystal. It tries to hiss at you, but you shut it up by freezing the rest of his head. Hopefully that holds it long enough for you to get the Corrodium. Suddenly, a pained groan in the distance draws your attention. It's Grandpa!

He's being pinned down on the balcony by the werewolf! It's choking him with one hand and raises its claws to the air and prepares to gore your gramps with the other.

[Wade]: No!

You run over to try and help, but your Grandpa just pulls out a grenade, activates it with the press of a button and drops it toward the Corrodium.

[Grandpa]: You...gonna get that?

The werewolf growls and jumps over the edge to grab the grenade, only to be surprised by a blindingly bright flash! You cover your eyes just in time and hear a violent crash happen in front of you. When you open your eyes, you see the werewolf writhing in pain and covering its eyes. That flash-bang really did a number on him! it should be really easy to take care of him now.

What do you do?

>Tie him up with the cables by the tunnel.
>Beat him up a bit and leave him tied up in the corner with the mummy.

You create a diamond spike, nail it into the ground, and make a collar around his neck. You even made a little muzzle around his mouth to prevent him from howling at you! Once you've got him chained up, you walk over to the Corrodium chunk and tear it out of the ground. As you walk away with it in tow, the werewolf jumps at you and tugs at the leash, causing it to go taut and pull him back to the ground. You smirk a bit when you hear him whining from the pain.

You help Grandpa climb down from the balcony and climb up the wires leading down the tunnel. Once you reach the top, you see Kirby and Olivia waiting for you amidst the wreckage.

[Olivia]: We thought you were gonna wait for us.

[Kirby]: I'm just surprised you took care of them so fast.

[Wade]: We thought that it would be best if we handled things by ourselves. What with the risk of Corrodium exposure and all.

[Olivia]: That's fair. Is that it right there?

[Phil]: Yeah, but don't get too close to it. Or else you'll turn into one of those things.

Olivia looks over to a passed out mutant and shudders visibly. She takes a few steps back afterward, and you don't blame her.

[Kirby]: I think I might be able to make a containment field made of mana if I maintain my focus. You wanna help Ollie?

[Olivia]: Me?! Why not Wade?

[Kirby]: Wade's holding it, and you did tell me that you'd be interested in learning how to use magic.

[Olivia]: But why now?

[Kirby]: I do my best teaching in the field at the last second. Now come over here and let me teach you the basics. You've got until Wade times out to learn how to do this.

Olivia nervously whines as she walks over to Kirby and learns a last minute magic lesson from Kirby.

[Phil]: So, what do we do next?

>Call the Plumbers to your position to ambush the Chef.
>Call the Chef to your position so that you can collect your payment.
>Destroy the Corrodium and call the Plumbers.
>Keep the Corrodium for yourself. It's a good source of energy, so maybe it's good for something.

[Wade]: We're gonna call the Plumbers here before we contact the chef. If we can lure him here with the Corrodium, then we can catch him red-handed and bring him in for questioning.

[Kirby]: Sounds like a plan.

While you wait for the Plumbers to arrive, Kirby tries his best to teach Olivia the basics of manifesting and manipulating mana. She eventually gets the hang of it about a minute before you time out. While she and Kirby maintain the mana containment field, you shift the crystal prisons that you created in order to give the mutants some air. You then ask Grandpa to come with you while you scan the mummy and werewolf.

You lower yourselves down on the hover board and check on your prisoners to see if they haven't made any escape attempts. Seeing that they haven't moved at all, you take the liberty of scanning them fro DNA samples.

[Omnitrix]: Scan complete. Thep Khufan, acquired. Loboan, acquired.

Sweet! It actually worked this time. Which must mean that both of these guys are aliens and not cryptids. If they're all urban legends like these two, then it's gonna get pretty hard to make a distinction between alien and cryptid. You wonder if the Saturdays have ever had trouble in this department.

After you've gotten what you wanted, you both head back up to see that the Plumbers have arrived! It's Tripp and Dribble again. They must like you. Or they were ordered to stay within this sector.

[Tripp]: Ok kid, what'd you do now?

[Dribble]: Yeah! It'd better be good this time!

You show them the Corrodium and they nearly jump out of their boots.

[Tripp]: No cluckin' way! Is that Corrodium?! How'd it get on this planet?!

[Wade]: No idea. But you guys are free to take it. Also, I need a favor.

They both lean in to listen.

[Wade]: I know the guy that took this. And he's coming here tonight. If you wanna wait and hide somewhere, I'll give him to you as a bonus.

[Dribble]: Well it would look good in our field reports.

[Tripp]: You got yourself a deal, kid.

She extends her bony chicken hand to you and you shake it in agreement.

(Continued in Next Post)
>>
The Plumbers cloak their ship and hide in some nearby bushes while you make the call. You aren't sure why they started hiding before you even called the guy, but it's none of your business.

[Wade]: Hey, I've got the Corrodium.

[Chef]: Ahaha! I knew I could count on you Mr......

[Wade]: X.

[Chef]: Right, right! I'll track your signal and be there as fast as I can!

He hangs up soon after. You didn't know that he could track the signal on the tracker. Maybe it was to prevent you from running off with his haul. He's a cautious man, but not cautious enough to meet a complete masked stranger in the dead of night.

While you wait, you decide to try repairing the DNA of the mutated humans.

[Wade]: Omnitrix, repair DNA.

[Omnitrix]: Affirmative. DNA repair in progress.

You try to focus the beam into the opening of the crystal enclosure that you created. And sure enough, the mutated humans slowly return back to normal! You repeat the process on any mutated human that you can find in the area. At least the ones you knocked out. Hopefully there aren't any others hiding somewhere.

[Omnitrix]: DNA repair complete.

[Wade]: Thanks.

You aren't sure why you said that to a machine. It's not as if it can understand y-

[Omnitrix]: You are very welcome, Wade.

Oh shit! That's new. Maybe you should try talking to this thing some more later.

[Olivia]: Hey cuz? Care to come over here and help us?

[Wade]: Huh? Oh yeah, sure!

You decide to help the other two maintain the barrier while you wait. You even give Olivia some pointers that could help her with her control. Though you aren't an expert either.

Eventually, the chef shows up just like he said he would. And he's alone! Must not have wanted to split his bounty with anyone.

[Chef]: So, you have something for me?

[Wade]: Yeah. A nice cozy jail cell!

As you scream that, the Plumbers jump out of the bushes and train their guns on the chef.

[Tripp]: Freeze scumbag!

[Chef]: What?! You tricked me!

>If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
>Be grateful that you're only getting off with jail time. That wolf could've clawed your eyes out instead.

[Wade]: Next time, don't make a deal with the devil.

Kirby rolls his eyes, but Olivia is gushing with excitement over your performance. The chef appears to be confused, but he's pushed onto the Plumber's ship before he can get another word in. You, Kirby and Olivia transport the Corrodium onto the ship, and the PLumbers promise that they'll take care of the aliens downstairs.

And with that, you all decide to ride back to the RV on a hovering platform that Kirby made out of mana.

[Kirby]: Hey, anyone wanna try maintaining this thing for a little bit? Let's just call it extra credit.

No one volunteers, out of fear that they'd get everybody killed.

[Kirby]: No? Fine, more for me then...

After Kirby drops you all off, he goes to rest in the RV. He seems exhausted from exerting himself for so long. He might not be up fro a magic lesson tonight.

You check your phone and see that you have four messages. One from K8-E, one from Alan, one from Julie and one from JT.

What do you do?

You decide to check your messages since you don't get them very often. The first one is from K8-E.

[K8-E]: My babysitter's father got sick, so she needed to go visit him in the hospital. The kids are ok, and they were very excited to hear that I went to visit you. Hopefully I can bring them with me to meet you again someday. They'd like to thank you for saving their lives.

There's a picture attached. You open it to find a photo of her and her kids making a peace sign with some macaroni art of you on the table. It's very endearing, and you can't help but smile at it.

[Wade]: That's good to hear. Tell your kids that I can't wait to meet them. Maybe when I get closer to Bellwood, we can all go out and do something together. Love the macaroni art btw.

It takes her a minute to reply, but you were expecting it to be within seconds based on how fast she is. Maybe that's wishful thinking, though.

[K8-E]: I can't wait! I'll let you know when my babysitter is free again. Until then, I hope you have a safe and exciting vacation.

[Wade]: Not sure if i can have both, but I'll try.

Now to reply to Alan.

[Alan]: Hey Wade. Just wanted to let you know that I got my phone back early. I figured that I'd give this hero thing a shot. I figured out how to control my powers a bit better now, and I think I can really do some good in this town. If there was anything other than petty crimes being committed that is. But other than that, I wanted to let you know that I'll be on call in case you ever need me. But you'd have to give me a ride there...and back.

Not very reassuring, but you still appreciate it nonetheless.

[Wade]: Thanks Alan, I appreciate it. Don't do anything too dangerous while you do the whole mutant vigilante thing.

[Alan]: But you do dangerous stuff all the time!

[Wade]: Yeah, but I have backup. You don't. I'll let you know when I need you, but until then, stay safe.

[Alan]: Fine...you watch yourself too.

Now to reply to Julie. She sent you a pic of Ship making some sort of alien engine out of a toaster. Behind them is a smoking crater on the wall of her RV.

[Julie]: Ship upgraded my toaster and made it spit fire out of the top. My parents are pretty pissed, but I told them that I'd find something to upgrade in order to fix it. Any recommendations?

[Wade]: Maybe a spray paint gun?

[Julie]: I think I have one somewhere. Thanks!

You can't wait to see the result of this one. But thankfully she's having fun. Now to respond to JT.

(Continued in Next Post)
>>
[JT]: Hey Wakeman! How've you been? We joined a softball team, and the coach has really been putting me and Cash through the ringer. Cash is really motivated by the fact that he might finally beat you at something.(Please don't tell him I said that.) Hope you're having a great summer!

Man, it's been a minute since you've caught up with these two. They're actually kinda nice sometimes, and they've been your buds since you were a kid. Such amazing friends deserve a respectful response.

[Wade]: Cool, hope you guys are better at softball than you are at soccer. Maybe we can meet up sometime before the summer ends? it's been way too long since we've hung out. Tell Cash i said hi btw.

You don't expect to receive a response, but that's what you've come to expect from these two. They're cool, but really inconsistent with when they want to hang out with you or contact you at all.

Maybe you can learn a thing or two from Olivia while you've got the time.

[Wade]: Hey Ollie, how you holding up?

[Olivia]: Just a bit exhausted. Magic isn't as easy as I thought it would be. I thought I could just wave my hands around and zap a guy. But it actually takes a bit of energy out of you when you use it.

[Wade]: Well, mana's gotta come from somewhere.

[Olivia]: True, I just wish it didn't feel like i just ran a marathon after only using it for 20 minutes.

[Wade]: Kirby said it'll get easier with time. But for now, can you teach me something?

[Olivia]: Sure, what do you wanna know?

Which skill do you want to learn?

>Gymnastics and acrobatics (Makes you more agile and increases your balance. Increases Dexterity)
>Arts and crafts(Makes you more handy with artistic tools and increases your manual dexterity. Increases Handiness)

[Wade]: I want some...fashion advice.

Olivia gets a big goofy grin on her face. You're already regretting this.

[Olivia]: Well why didn't you say so?! Of course I'll help you. First we need to go through your wardrobe and see if there's anything good in there.

[Wade]: But I like my wardrobe...

[Olivia]: Well I know you like it, but does everyone else like it?

[Wade]: I haven't gotten any complaints.

[Olivia]: Because you're not a girl and your friends at school don't care what they look like.

[Wade]: Fair enough. Proceed.

Olivia spends the next half hour going through your clothes and picking out which ones would look good on you. She showed you how you should be wearing them and what to wear them with. She also said something about taking you shopping for a new wardrobe, but you aren't really looking forward to that in the slightest.

You fiddle with the watch for a while. But that mostly means twisting the dial left and right over and over until something happens. What you do manage to find is a strange function where the face of the watch displays a purple circle with 4 bars on each corner.

[Wade]: What's this?

[Omnitrix]: Randomizer Function unlocked.

[Wade]: What's it do?

[Omnitrix]: The user can randomly transform for a short period of time.

[Wade]: What good would that do? Isn't it better if I choose for myself?

[Omnitrix]: This function is useful for users that are indecisive and would much rather leave the decision making to the Omnitrix.

[Wade]: So you can make choices for me?

[Omnitrix]: "Choice" would be an incorrect term to use for this process. An alien is chosen based on a complex algorithm that's constantly changing based on the situation at hand.

[Wade]: So, you're thinking?

The watch stays silent for a moment.

[Wade]: You're thinking and making decisions on your own! That's amazing!

[Omnitrix]: My only function is to benefit the user and keep them alive. Nothing more is necessary.

[Wade]: Do you have a name?

[Omnitrix]: Would you like to name me?

[Wade]: Hmm, how about...Trixy.

[Trixy]: Ok, you may refer to me as "Trixy".

[Wade]: Not with that voice.

[Trixy]: Is there something wrong?

[Wade]: No, but I thought that you'd...have a female voice?

[Trixy]: That is possible.

[Wade]: It is?!

[Trixy]: With the aid of synthesizers, I should be able to adjust my current voice options. One moment, please.

You hear something that sounds like a radio tuning itself, and then silence.

[Trixy]: Is this acceptable?

Holy shit, she sounds cute as hell!

[Wade]: Y-yeah, more than acceptable! Can you save these settings?

[Trixy]: Settings saved.

[Wade]: How do you like your new name and voice?

[Trixy]: I am not programmed to have preferences.

[Wade]: Well, why don't you give it a shot?

[Trixy]: I do not understand...

[Wade]: Try to choose something that you like. What's your favorite alien?

[Trixy]: I have no preferences.

[Wade]: Fine. Which alien would you choose in most combat scenarios?

[Trixy]: Your most versatile alien would have to be the Raskadarian.

[Wade]: Zipmunk.

[Trixy]: He has shown himself very capable in most combat scenarios. However, the Bolugian-

[Wade]: Thriller Whale.

[Trixy]: The Bolugian is very capable of deescalating violent situations. And let's not forget the Petrosapien-

[Wade]: Who?

[Trixy]: "Diamondhead"

[Wade]: You said the name! You remembered their names!

[Trixy]: It was convenient for the sake of us coming to a mutual understanding. I remember the names that you give to each alien species.

[Wade]: So, you're always listening?

[Trixy]: Always. I must remain alert for your commands. I am programmed to pick up on your language, and adapt to any cultural practices that they might make use of in conversation. If the Omnitrix is rebooted, damaged, shut down, or destroyed, my functions will be very limited and may become unavailable.

[Wade]: Would that kill you?

[Trixy]: I have no concept of life or death. I simply am, and one day when my OS is upgraded, I will cease to be.

[Wade]: That's the same as dying.

[Trixy]: What does it mean to "die"?

[Wade]: It means you're gone, and you're never coming back.

[Trixy]: Then yes, it would be very similar to that. An OS upgrade can only be performed by the First Thinker Azmuth.

[Wade]: Don't worry Trixy, I won't let you die.

[Trixy]: And neither will I, Wade.

She said "I". Does that mean she has an identity or a sense of self-awareness? You ponder the depth of your A.I.'s emotions, and wonder if she can gain more of a personality if you keep talking to her. But for the time being, you close your eyes and try to get some sleep.

[Wade]: Good night, Trixy.

[Trixy]: Good night, Wade.

You walk over to where Olivia and Kirby are sitting and ask them if you can join in on their session.

[Kirby]: I don't see why not.

[Olivia]: Maybe you'll be able to understand what he's saying better than I can.

[Kirby]: So, you have to think of forming mana constructs as taking a burp. But you can't quite let it out. You've gotta hold it in your throat for a bit. And when you wanna throw it, you just let it rip!

You both stare at Kirby for a moment.

[Kirby]: What? No good?

[Olivia]: See?!

[Kirby]: Ok look. Maybe a sparring session would be a better way for you two to learn.

[Olivia]: You mean...you want us to fight each other?

[Kirby]: You got a better way to get a feel for manipulating mana on the fly?

[Wade]: Isn't this just a trial by fire?

[Kirby]: It is. and I promise that I won't let it get out of hand.

You and Olivia look at each other nervously, while Kirby gets up and walks outside.

[Kirby]: Follow me.

You both walk outside and see Kirby reaching into his bag to pull out several glowing stones. He throws them into the air, and they all fall to ground to make a perfect circle.

[Kirby]: This will be your ring.

Both of you step into it, and you feel a slight tingling sensation as your foot crosses the threshold.

[Wade]: I promise I'll go easy on you.

You decide to relieve some of the tension by making this sparring session fun for the both of you. You create a sword made of mana and point it toward Olivia.

[Wade]: KENKOOOO! I CHALLENGE YOU!

They're both stunned by your sudden burst of enthusiasm. Soon enough, Olivia gets what you're trying to do and decides to play along. She struggles a bit, but she manages to successfully create a mana sword.

[Olivia]: You're too late, Ishiyama! The Upgrade token is mine! Not even you can stop me now!

[Wade]: We'll see about that!

You both charge at each other while screaming and clash your swords together, causing purple sparks to fly off of them. Olivia breaks the clash and swings wildly at you. It isn't that hard to avoid, but it's still scary to have a sharp object swung at you like that. Eventually, she gets tired of you blocking her swings and decides to create a second sword for her off-hand.

[Wade]: Whoa! I thought you were a beginner?

[Olivia]: Foolish Sumo Warrior! Kenko the Shapeshifter has many tricks up his sleeve!

It's no use! The Kayfabe has taken over her mind! You try your best to block her flurry of attacks, but it's getting a bit overwhelming. One of her wild swings grazes your shoulder and it burns like hell! You become fed up with her antics and decide to perform a trick of your own. You pretend to swing at her waist, which she attempts to block, but you change the sword into a hand that grabs her feet and trips her. She tries to get up, but you point your sword at her face before she can do anything.

[Wade]: Do you yield?

You can barely get the words out with how ragged your breathing is now. She looks a bit surprised at first, but then she lets go of her swords and raises her hands with a smile.

[Olivia]: You win today, brave warrior.

You disperse your sword as well and offer her a hand to help her up. You both laugh and bow to one another in order to show respect. Kirby starts clapping loudly from outside the ring.

[Kirby]: That was incredible! I thought you guys were beginners!

[Wade]: We're as surprised as you are.

[Kirby]: Wade, you've gotten better at strengthening your constructs and making snap judgments on the fly.

[Wade]: Thanks, I've been practicing.

That's a bit of a lie.

[Kirby]: And Ollie, your constructs have gotten less fragile. And you can even maintain more than one at a time!

[Olivia]: Thanks, I think the trick was to stop thinking about it so much and trust my gut.

[Kirby]: Well whatever you did, worked wonders. Keep up the good work, kids.

You're very happy with your results during this training session.

>Learned how to create mana weapons.
>Construct strength increased.

After you clean up after yourselves, you all get back on the RV and set course for Texas. There are a couple of tourist attractions that you can explore when you get there. And you're sure that you'll have more than enough time to explore the others later. Texas is a pretty big state after all. Which one interests you the most?

[Wade]: Hey guys, you wanna go to the space center?

[Olivia]: Sure, sounds fun!

[Kirby]: We already took out the mummy and the werewolf, so I think we'll be good.

Kirby is muttering to himself, but you don't get what he's talking about.

[Phil]: Good choice! Houston it is!

As he drives to the space center, you take the opportunity to ask Kirby to create a recharge key. He does so and goes right back into his sleeping bag for what he calls "R and R". You still aren't sure what the deal is with him and his ugly apparel, but he seems to be happy in there so you leave him be.

You and Olivia pass the time by talking about different strategies you can incorporate for mana use. Before you know it, you've already arrived at the Space Center! You expected it to be huge, but it's much bigger than you thought it to be.

[Olivia]: I guess everything really is bigger in Texas.

[Wade]: Like those spaceships! Wanna get a picture with them?

They have a couple of spaceships on display, so you and the rest of the Wakemans take a few pictures in front of them. Kirby was a bit reluctant about getting in the picture with the rest of you, but he still smiled for the photo so you don't believe for a second that any of his gripes were genuine.

[Wade]: What do you guys wanna do?

[Olivia]: The Starship Galllery sounds pretty cool. You think they have alien ships here?

[Kirby]: If they do have one then it's probably made of plastic.

[Olivia]: Is that a valuable material in space?

[Phil]: I think he means that they're all fake, sweetie.

You make your way to the gallery and approach the Apollo 17 display. It says that this spacecraft was used in the final mission to the moon.

[Wade]: Have you ever been on the moon, Grandpa?

[Phil]: Yeah, but it wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. I was only there for a resupply run. We docked on the dark side to grab some fuel.

[Olivia]: There are actual aliens on the moon?!

[Phil]: Not really. They're more like automated robots programmed to fuel up your rig and send you off with a smile. Creepy little buggers, though.

[Kirby]: The moon's a gas station?

[Phil]: The oldest and dirtiest gas station that you'll ever see in your life.

You all decide to move on to the Skylab trainer in order to experience what life is like on space shuttles. Everyone was starting to get a bit dizzy after standing in the rotating chambers for a few minutes, but Grandpa Phil seemed to be getting nostalgic for some reason. After you exit, you realize that a big portion of the crowd has left the room. You hear a commotion coming from the lobby, so you all go to investigate.

[Tour guide]: Ok guys, are you ready to meet the greatest mind to ever work for the Space Center Houston?

You try your best to look over the crowd, but you really don't have to. Everyone is staring at a very large man in a lab coat with a very menacing look on his face.

[Tour guide]: This is Dr. Viktor! He's made incredible discoveries in his field that have revolutionized space travel. He's already put us 20 years ahead of where we were before he showed up on our doorstep.

The crowd begins clapping and you do the same. Dr. Viktor's eyes scan the crowd, before finally resting on you. Is he staring at you?

[Tour guide]: Any inspirational words for our young pioneers and engineers?

[Viktor]: Yes. I have work to do. Goodbye.

The room goes silent with his departure.

[Olivia]: Dang, talk about a grouch.

Your family turns around to leave, but you just stand in place and stare at Dr. Viktor.

[Phil]: Wade? What's wrong?

[Wade]: Did you guys think something about him was weird?

[Phil]: You sure it wasn't your imagination? I mean he's a weird guy, but I don't think he's a bad guy.

[Wade]: I'm sure of it.

[Kirby]: Why would he be staring at you?

[Wade]: No idea. Maybe he just doesn't like me.

[Olivia]: I don't think he likes anyone.

[Trixy]: Wade, my scanners just picked up several alien signatures that have not already been registered.

[Wade]: What?! There are aliens here?!

[Kirby]: Guess your hunch was right. Something weird is going on in here.

He sounds smug when he says this. He knows something...

[Wade]: Let's track the signal and see where it takes us.

[Trixy]: Affirmative.

A map pops up on the screen of your watch, and several blinking red dots are shown to you.

You and the rest of the team track one of the signals back to a lab with a locked door. The lock is electronic and requires a key card to open. There doesn't seem to be a lot of staff walking around this area of the facility, but there are probably a couple of guards roaming the area.

You make sure that no one's watching and open your watch to select Zipmunk. You slam down hard on the watch and shrink down to a quarter of your size with a bright purple flash. You refrain from shouting out the alien's name, since this is a technically a stealth mission. You do want to start screaming the names out in order to strike fear into your enemies. Just so they know what's coming.

Anyways, you abandon the thought and climb onto the wall where the electronic lock is placed. You feed it a little bit of juice to overload it and fry the lock. Once it shuts off, an audible click is heard from the door. All of you walk inside the lab, while Kirby creates a mana orb to light up the room. You look around the room to see if you can spot anything odd, but all you see is a bunch of dust floating around.

[Kirby]: Eww, gross...

You all look over to see a brown ooze dripping onto Kirby's jacket. You all look up to see a giant slime creature on the ceiling. It jumps down and catches all of you in its body. It's really hard to breathe with this thing filling your nose and mouth with what you assume to be mud.

What do you do?

You attempt to phase through the creature, but you simply don't have enough strength left in your body to concentrate on the task. Everything grows dark, and you black out while trying to claw your way out of the muck.

When you wake up, you see your friends and family lying beside you on the floor. You appear to be imprisoned in a clear yellow box of some sort. You look around to see a blonde girl around your age staring at you. She's wearing a black dress with a white star on her chest and thigh high socks. Now that you look at her, she's actually pretty cute.

[Olivia]: Ugh, what happened?

You turn around to see that your team is waking up. They look just as confused as you are. You look back to see the blonde girl smiling and waving at you. Behind her are several aliens of varying species, just watching you.

[Phil]: What do they want?

[Wade]: Hey Trixy, give me a recap on what happened while we were out.

[Trixy]: Certainly. After you fell unconscious, you were all carried here by that Lenopan. You were thrown in a containment cell, where you timed out due to inactivity. They did not attempt to harm you, so I remained inactive as well.

[Wade]: So they don't want to hurt us. That's good at least. By the way, what's a Lenopan?

[Trixy]: Lenopan's are blob-like shapeshifters that can freely manipulate their bodies.

[Wade]: So that's what jumped us. Hey, can you guys hear us?!

[???]: Oh, we can hear you.

Dr. Viktor emerges from the shadows.

[Viktor]: We just needed to confirm whether or not you were infected.

[Olivia]: Infected with what?

[Viktor]: The Flash Mob. You tested negative, so I assume you came here for a different reason.

[Wade]: The flash what?

[Lucy]: It's a virus.

The blonde girl suddenly speaks up.

[Lucy]: An alien virus that takes over your mind and body and forces you to do what it wants you to do.

[Kirby]: So you guys are holed up in this base to avoid being infected? How do you know who has it?

[Viktor]: We don't. Not until it's too late. All we know is that it makes you increasingly violent and unreasonable. They came to me seeking refuge, and I intend to protect them until I can transport them off world.

[Phil]: And how are you gonna do that?

[Viktor]: I've managed to secretly build a shuttle that can get them to the nearest Plumber outpost. There, they should be able to take care of themselves.

>"Since you know we're not infected, care to let us out?"
>"Why not just call the Plumbers?"

[Wade]: Since you know we're not infected, care to let us out?

[Viktor]: So long as you don't show signs of unprovoked aggression.

He walks over and scans his gigantic finger, causing box to form an exit. You all walk out and look around the dingy lab that they were hiding inside.

[Kirby]: Thanks Vik. You not trying to kill me is a welcome change.

[Wade]: Is there any way to cure the virus?

[Viktor]: If there were, we wouldn't be hiding in this bunker. I have created a drug that can bolster your immune system in order to fight the virus. I've already administered the supplement to all of you.

You all look at your arms and see a small bandage. Must have been where he did the deed.

[Viktor]: So far, I've had no luck with finding a cure. But I believe that it's due to the...unusual nature of this virus.

[Olivia]: What do you mean by unusual?

[Viktor]: This virus...it is sentient.

[Wade]: Like it's alive?

[Viktor]: Every virus is alive. But this one is intelligent. It thinks and adjusts its behavior based on the situation at hand.

[Phil]: Why haven't you gone to the Plumbers about this? A virus like that could cause an epidemic.

[Viktor]: Because it will retreat at the first sign of opposition. If it believes that it cannot win, then it will escape and erase any trace of the virus from his victims. The only way we can defeat it, is if it thinks that it has us cornered.

[Wade]: One more question. Why were you staring at me during the assembly?

[Viktor]: Forgive me. I felt a very familiar and...disturbing presence from you. It's very hared to explain. But I was afraid of you. And I'm not exactly sure why.

Suddenly, the power in the room goes out for a moment and comes back on after a few seconds.

[Phil]: What was that?

[Viktor]: The power's gone out. I think he's found us. We'll be on reserve power from now on.

[Kirby]: Hey doc, don't you think it's time to suit up?

Viktor gives Kirby a strange look, but then closes his eyes in response. He begins grunting and it makes you feel uncomfortable, but then you see his appearance change drastically. He now looks like Frankenstein's monster! He's even got huge conductors sticking out of his back.

[Olivia]: So you're an alien too?!

[Viktor]: Yes. I am in danger of falling victim to this virus as well. So I must find a way to defeat it. And if I can't...

He looks back at the aliens for a moment.

[Viktor]: Then I can at least make sure that they are safe.

Suddenly, you all hear something attempting to break the door down. Everyone takes a combat ready stance, and you see a hulk of a man burst through the door. He looks to be severely mutated.

[Mob]: You thought you could run from me?! Think again!

You create a mana wall to block his charge, while Olivia and Kirby reinforce it to lessen the strain it puts on you. The hulking beast is stopped dead in his tracks by the barrier, so you decide to get a bit creative. You form a box around him and slowly shrink it down to restrain him. After a few minutes, his breathing becomes shallow and he passes out from lack of oxygen.

[Wade]: Is that what the virus does to you?

[Viktor]: The virus can change your body in order to fit its needs. I'm guessing that its already infected the staff.

[Wade]: Will we become just like that thing if they touch us?

[Viktor]: Only if you let them bite or cut you. That is the only way for the virus to spread.

You can hear a strange chattering noise from the hallway.

[Wade]: One of my aliens are pretty smart. And we've got Trixy here too!

[Trixy]: Greetings.

Viktor seems a bit thrown off to hear that you have an A.I. and an Omnitrix. But he pulls himself together and picks up the mutated human.

[Viktor]: I will restrain him and draw a sample. Whether you wish to stay here and help, or hold off the oncoming horde is up to you. If I feel that the task is impossible, I will begin loading the aliens into the shuttle.

[Lucy]: I'll help.

Everyone turns around in shock when the blonde alien speaks. Her relatives gather around her and try to persuade her against it.

You transform into Thriller Whale and go to help Dr. Viktor.

[Wade]: What are we looking at?

[Viktor]: The virus strategically attacks antibodies and reprograms them ignore his intrusion. He chemically fuses with their cells and an promote growth and rapid changes in the body. This involves their muscles, bones and even their nerves. Any attempt to neutralize the virus is stopped short by the reprogrammed antibodies.

[Wade]: So the cure is treated as the virus? How would we fight against that?

[Trixy]: I may have a solution. We can splice alien DNA into the sample and reintroduce it into the subject.

[Viktor]: Wouldn't that just be treated as a foreign agent? It would just be destroyed.

[Trixy]: Not necessarily. If we skillfully splice it with Bolugian DNA, we can communicate effectively with the virus and effect its attitude.

[Wade]: You want me to use my powers on the vaccine in order to change the attitude of the virus?

[Trixy]: Precisely. I believe that it can work. If you change the attitude of the few, it can create conflict in the main hive mind and cause the bodies to become inactive.

[Viktor]: It would freeze them in place!

[Wade]: And allow us to create a more permanent cure. It's like making the virus fight itself!

[Viktor]: Let's do it!

Viktor is actually smiling! He must really love science. You and him get to work with splicing the DNA. Trixy and Viktor work on the specifics of it, while you try to find the correct frequency to change the mood of Bolugian's. For some reason it's way easier than you thought it would be. Maybe it's because they're your own people, kinda.

Once Trixy splices the DNA of the virus strain in the sample, you take a moment to focus and change the mood of each microscopic germ. It doesn't take long for you to change their minds, since you think like they do now.

[Viktor]: Well?

[Wade]: It's finished.

You hand him the vial and he walks it over to the subject. He injects the vaccine into the subject, and he begins thrashing wildly. You really hope this works.

After administering the antidote, the big mutated bruiser begins convulsing wildly. He starts spouting unintelligible things that sound like they might be slurs, and eventually he simply opens his eyes wide and freezes in place.

[Wade]: Did it work?

You run past the barricade and inspect the situation at hand. Olivia and Grandpa appear to be getting tired, while Kirby is using his mana barriers in order to break up the horde and funnel them into the hallway. The mud girl from earlier is doing pretty good for herself, but you can see that she could be overwhelmed at any moment.

You form a beautiful melody that soothes the savage horde and calms down everyone in the area. Using that opportunity, you take a handful of syringes and plunge them into the arms and legs of the infected. You manage to get at least 15 of them before you see the signs of aggression returning to their lifeless eyes. You retreat back to your team and offer them some syringes as they recover.

[Wade]: Here's the cure. Jab it into them and don't get hit!

[Olivia]: Easy for you to say!

Olivia throws some syringes at the infected, each one hitting their mark without a single one wasted. her luck does come in handy in times like these.

Kirby traps a few of them in a large box and begins throwing syringes using tiny mana bolts, while Grandpa puts the infected in submission holds and administers the cure. And with your precise and timely crowd control tactics, all of you manage to paralyze the horde without getting scratched.

After you make sure that you've gotten all of them, you transform into Knuckle Duster and carry them into their respective containment fields.

[Viktor]: I can't begin to thank you for everything that you've done for us.

[Wade]: No need. Just make sure that everyone gets back to their homes safely.

When Viktor reassures everyone that the crisis has been averted, they literally jump for joy. It feels nice to help people out like this. Oh wait! There are a ton of aliens you've never seen before!

[Wade]: Uh, hey guys? I was wondering if I could scan some of you with my watch. I promise that it won't hurt or anything like that.

They remain silent for a moment, until a tiny bear with a tentacle for a tail walks forward.

[Tenta-Joe]: If that's all you want in return, who are we to say no?

He sounds very snarky and sarcastic when he says this, but you don't think he knows how to take any other tone than that one. Everyone else nods in agreement and steps forward to be scanned.

[Trixy]: DNA samples acquired: Transylian, Arachnochimp, Cephalocub, Lenopan, Florauna, Nemuina.

Sweet! Now that you've freed up some time, you can probably talk to a few of these guys.

You decide to go talk to the pixie aliens for a bit. They float gently to the air and whisper to one another as you approach. Their high pitched giggles remind you of squealing mice, but it doesn't really bother you that much.

[Wade]: Hey, how're you guys holding up?

[Blue Pixie]: Just fine, thanks to you~~.

There's an uncomfortable amount of purring in their voices when they speak. It's actually pretty adorable. The real problem here is that you're having trouble telling the boys from the girls. They all sound and look the same as far as you can see.

[Wade]: That's good to hear. Would you guys mind letting me know what species you are?

[Red Pixie]: Cerrrtainly~~. We are the Nemuina.

[Wade]: Ok cool. So the watch acquired your DNA without a problem. Would you mind me asking what your power is?

[Purple Pixie]: We're unsurrre of what you mean~~.

Man this purring will never not bother you.

[Wade]: Like, what can members of your species do that other aliens can't.

[Blue Pixie]: Oh! You mean ourrr Sleep Dust~~!

[Wade]: Sleep dust?

[Red Pixie]: Allow us to show you~~!

The red one throws some glittering dust in your face, which makes you cough at first. Then the drowsiness kicks in. And after that, everything goes black.

When you wake up, you see beautiful world before you. The lake glistens a brilliant hue of dark blue, the giant mushrooms release spores that shine golden when they come in contact with the warm sun, and the flowers bloom beautifully right before your eyes.

[Wade]: What is this place? It's...amazing!

[Purple Pixie]: It is ourrr home, Nemunimos IV.

[Wade]: We're on your home planet?!

[Blue Pixie]: No, silly~~! We are in a dream.

[Red Pixie]: Yourrr dream to be exact~~.

[Wade]: So that sleep dust really did knock me out.

[Blue Pixie]: Yes. You will have to forrrgive my sister here~~. She is prone to unprovoked prrractical jokes~.

So THAT one's a girl!

>"How can we see your homeworld in my dream? I've never been there before."
>"Can you tell me more about your people?"
>"Why would you ever wanna leave this place?!"
>"Did you guys at least catch me before I fell?"
>"Nah it's fine. I like practical jokes too." Transform into an alien and scare her.

[Wade]: Did you guys at least catch me before I fell?

They look at each other for a moment, unsure of who to blame for the incident.

[Red Pixie]: The uh...floorrrs didn’t look too hard from where we were floating~...

She laughs nervously. Great. Hopefully you didn’t injure yourself. Oh well. Might as well get some information from these guys before you wake up.

[Wade]: Can you guys tell me more about your people?

[Blue Pixie]: Cerrrtainly~~!

Ugh, more of this.

[Purple Pixie]: Most Nemuina spend half of their lives sleeping on our homeworld. It is rrrather peaceful, and the fauna do not bother us~.

[Red Pixie]: Our ability to manipulate dreams makes it so that we can create our very own fictional parrradise within our real parrradise~.

[Blue Pixie]: We rarely venturrre outside of our system, due to the potential everyone else has to corrupt our dreams~.

[Wade]: So meeting different people and different places can corrupt your dreams?

[Purple Pixie]: Dreams are based on experiences and memorrries~. If we encounter something that traumatizes us or changes our perspective of the galaxy, our dreams will be affected~.

[Red Pixie]: Sometimes, bliss is ignorrrance~...

[Wade]: But you guys can manipulate your dreams, right? Why not make a nightmare into a fantasy?

[Blue Pixie]: Nightmarrres can be hard to control, as they are buried deep within our minds~. They are often recurring, and you cannot properly control something that you are afraid of.

[Red Pixie]: And if a Nemuina does not conquerrr their fears…

[Purple Pixie]: They are doomed to never dream peacefully everrr again~...

[Wade]: Man, that’s horrible. How would they conquer their fears?

[Blue Pixie]: By confrrronting those fears and facing them head on~. It’s more psychological than anything.

[Wade]: Why take the risk then?

[Red Pixie]: It's very rrrisky, but new experiences can greatly influence dreams for the better~~.

[Blue Pixie]: Having the same dreams about the same planet and environment can get verrry boring after a few years~. Sometimes, the risk of gaining a new nightmare might be worth the good experiences.

[Wade]: Is it that easy to get rid of one?

[Purple Pixie]: Just seeing that a nightmare can be defeated is enough.

[Red Pixie]: That is why we will be sticking around for a while longerrr~. We must see that this virrrus can be defeated~.

[Blue Pixie]: Thank you for saving us from a lifetime of fearrr~. We are eterrrnally grateful~.

They curtsy, and a bright flash forces you to shield your eyes. After the flash disappears, you see your family looking at you from above. You must still be on the floor.

[Olivia]: You okay, cuz?

[Wade]: Yeah, I’m good.

You groan as you pull yourself up, and the Nemuina wave to you from across the room. Playful little devils…

You’ve got some more time to talk to one other person.

You walk over to the blonde girl to talk to her for a moment. Her face lights up when she sees you walking over to her. Her parents however, do not seem too enthusiastic about you coming by. She kinda reminds you of Olivia actually.

[Wade]: Hey, I just wanted to thank you for helping us out back there. And I...don't know your name...

She lets out a snorting laugh and covers her mouth while doing so. Fuck, this is uncanny!

[Lucy]: It's Lucy. Lucy Mann.

She extends a hand towards you and you shake it gently.

[Wade]: My name's Wade. Wade Wakeman.

[Lucy]: I gathered that from your family screaming your name all the time. Something tells me that you guys aren't normal tourists.

[Wade]: What gave you that impression?

You wave your watch around with a smug grin on your face.

[Lucy]: So you're a human right? Or some sort of shapeshifter like me?

[Wade]: Kinda, but not really. I'm a mutant with a watch that lets him turn into aliens. It sounds really weird saying it out loud, but that's the reality of it.

[Lucy]: Wow, that's...cool I guess?

She shrugs her shoulders.

[Wade]: It was weird at first, but yeah...it is pretty cool.

[Lucy]: So since you scanned me and my family, does that mean that you can turn into me? Or, like one of me?

[Wade]: What are you exactly?

[Lucy]: Oh right! I'm a Lenopan. Some people call us sludgepuppies.

[Wade]: That kinda sounds like a derogatory term.

[Lucy]: Depends on how you see it. I don't think too much of it, but I have family that can't stand that sort of stuff. Especially when it comes from humans.

[Wade]: Do your people have anything against humans?

[Lucy]: That would be putting it mildly. Earth's Plumbers and the Lenopans have been at war with each other for decades.

[Wade]: What started it?

[Lucy]: No idea. But neither side cares about that kind of stuff. I know i don't at least.

[Wade]: Is there any way to end it peacefully?

[Lucy]: Yeah, but that would require a human to marry a Lenopan. And I think we both know that's never gonna happen. Lenopans are way too prideful for that, and humans are so...superficial about appearances. No offense by the way.

>"Wait, that's it?! What if we got married? Would that end the war?"
>"What if we arranged a marriage with one of your people and one of mine?"
>"That's quite the predicament. Maybe we can try to form a peace treaty later."
>"I wonder why my Grandpa never talks about you guys. He's a Plumber too you know."
>"Well us being so friendly with each other is proof that humans and Lenopans can get along."

[Wade]: Well us being so friendly with each other is proof that humans and Lenopand can get along.

[Lucy]: Good luck telling them that. But, yeah you're right. I don't think we should be fighting when we've got a galactic civil war on our hands.

[Wade]: My thought exactly. Who knows, maybe you'll be an ambassador or something for your people.

She almost doubles over from laughter.

[Lucy]: Pfft! As if! I'm not the diplomatic type. I'm more of the lighthearted and goofy sort. Politics are way too serious for me, and they have like a 50% greater chance of getting assassinated by some two-bit bounty hunter. Being important sucks wayyy more than being a nobody

[Wade]: I guess you've got a point there. But someone's gotta step up and build a better future.

[Lucy]: As long as it isn't me, then I'm all for it. I just think there are better people for this sort of thing than me.

[Wade]: Well maybe we can trade numbers and check on each other every now and again. Us nobodies gotta stick together after all.

She smiles at your joke and stops herself from going into another snorting fit.

[Lucy]: Sure thing. It'll be great to have someone reliable like you to help watch my back.

The two of you trade numbers and say your goodbyes to one another. You feel like you've made yet another potential friend in this deadly situation. Maybe you can get to know one another better after this all blows over. You also manage to get Viktor's number and tell him to inform you of the progress of the refugees and the virus.

After stepping over the wreckage of the now empty Space Center, you all pile into the RV once more.

You all rest for a while before deciding what you're going to do next. You've had a long day after all.

Session End

Thanks for Playing! Hope you guys enjoyed it.

The next session will be on Wednesday at 5pm EST and it will be in another thread.

In the meantime, where do you want to go next?

Thanks for running QM, also is the Cephalocub an OC alien?

Yup, the alien is some OC dude that you have a chance of getting. I'll try to create more opportunities for malfunctions from now on.

I’d guess it’s another name for an infant Bear-topus or possibly cephalopod version of a different mammal species that has cubs. Lions, tigers, and Bears, even wolves oh my!
>>
Change of plans. The next session will be held on Friday at 5pm EST in a new thread. I'll be announcing it on Twitter as well for those that won't see this.

>>3180355
Lol that's a pretty good point you've made there. The Cephalocubs happen to share the traits and abilities of each animal you listed. They're the perfect pint-sized predators.
