There's trouble brewing, and only those who are tasked with curating the Dreamscape may save the night. Who will cull the nightmares who disturb the peaceful slumber? The veil embraces any who wish to try their hand, but it is the Abyss that will judge worth. Step forth, Dream Catcher, and prove yourself.

Dream Catchers is a collaborative skirmish game where players take control of their own personal character. Mend and defend the weary hearts and minds of those in slumber, and fight until dawn. Be it nightmares or anxieties which ails them, find the source of trouble and exorcise it before the dreamer awakens. Successful exorcisms results in healing the dreamscape, and by proxy improves the player characters themselves.

Here's how you make a character and a quick summary of how the game is played. While movement and facing are cardinal (no diagonals) attacks and spellcasting in general will allow for diagonals to be used. Standard Melee range is also defined as all eight adjacent tiles surrounding the character, and facing is the three tiles in front of them.

Remember that you are not required to >Struggle, and may use your actions at half effect or potency, except with move actions which are reduced to 1 Mov.

It is worth noting that if a skill that deals damage as an AoE it will hit all things which occupy its tiles. Only time this is not the case is if it is with a flying target and there is another available target below. Whichever target the ability is aimed at will determine if the AoE hits all flying or non-flying available targets in it's area of effect.

An arch of light beckons the party forth, though upon entering the runners are numbed to their senses between the illumination and rampant static torturing their ears. As it fades a half-breaths whisper surfaces on the mind of each party member. Too faint to parse what it was saying, but deep in the cloth of each catcher is the sensation of urgent justice. As the realm comes into view, the party takes note of the rather unkempt locale between a weapon lodged into nearby controls and a mess spilling out from a... locker? Pod? There also appears to be a series of growths nearby, but what's most unsettling of all is the sense of distrust felt while observing the realm as is. Something isn't as it seems, though discerning what in particular that is will be quite difficult until closer inspection can be made.

Using a tripcode makes it easy to track the sheet between threads and prevents some mishaps in the long run (though there haven't been any so far, would be nice to keep it that way) As said earlier, just remember to have one when you next post your sheet.

The party takes to stride in full, with members cautiously leaving the portal in order to gain a baring on their surroundings. Two runners find their footing gone, one falling into the abyss after the other. An invalid means of identification is lodged into the control panel, almost as a means to halt the functions of which it commands? Another catcher takes to a greedier approach, opening up a crate to discover some strange weapon housed inside. Two take to examining potential threats, one stuck to bar grating and another inside a closed yet powered down... locker? Just beneath is another locker left open, some strange fluorescent material seeming to have left behind a trail into the void below. Lastly, another runner attempts to make light of what a FULL TURN ACTION entails, and is left with nothing for their efforts.

As the tide, the field ebbs and flows. One of the denizens is slain outright, but their body persists in solid form? Maybe there's something to the realm which entraps essence within its boundaries, or perhaps it's a trait held by this particular... species. Agamede would surely know, or so the runner hopes. Elsewhere, a runner is pulled under and out of sight, set to drown in the void cold and alone. Another runner begins to drift off, while another snaps to attention and begins paving a way forward. Hopefully towards a victorious outcome.

Due to sleep not happening and errands needing to be ran I've gotta post the turn earlier than normal otherwise it would be delayed until later tonight. My apologies, but I've double checked and there's a few means to save Murph from his current fate.

Life returns to the realm, though vicious and bloodier than expected. Paths are forged deep into the fog, revealing a row of lockers next to bulkhead doors with a panel console attached. A pair of knocks can be heard coming from one of the lockers, as elsewhere another pod opens to reveal... some strange furry creature. It doesn't take kindly to the denizen that was waking up just below the foot of their bed, and prepares them into a pair of tendrils. Elsewhere a runner is saved but doomed further, and another is dragged into the void. Denizens hiding away come out to feast upon the flesh of their brethren, which is another unknown activity not seen before this realm. Just what exactly was going on in here?
