Topic: The Empire Strikes Back: The Boat Graveyard battle between the Empire and the Merchants

Well guys, that is Uber and Leet's livestream from one of their eyebots, from what I understand they wanted to do some kind of Battletoads stream in the Boat Graveyard, and thankfully did not. Instead they were able to capture this video of the Merchant's defending their new holdings from the Empire.

The Empire approached in force, and Kaiser stepped forward. He gave his demands, and then waited.

Behind the wall, eyebots were able to see mass mobilization of Merchant forces under Famine and Squealer, with Mush seeming to stay behind to guard. Their newest cape, Corrosion, was also on scene with this fight.

And by fight, I mean slaughter... It was completely onsided.

Afterwards, PRT forces arrived to detain Famine, which he gave a stern talking to, COMPARING HIMSELF TO LUNG!!!, and then they left.

Just watch the stream guys, warning it's graphic, I have no words at this point.

The Empire has broken.

I don't know much about the different methods one can cook crab, but I would image it would be better to sell the crabs fresh on ice so customers may cook their own crabs which would require less effort on our part. Though I'm sure the more cook savvy amount the merchants would not be against serving freshly served boiled or steamed crabs with some garlic butter.
I would image a steel drum would be cut in half and used for boiling?

How are the baked beans companies holding out since the existence of the Endbringers and capes?
With Baked Beans being one of the few things that can briefly satiate Famine's bottomless stomach, when will we start demanding tribute from the baked beans corporations?
In case someone forgot I'm not making this up.

>rip my mistake on that part. Poor formating. Your hunger affects your reasoning and restraint. When your hunger is in the negatives you feel it gnawing at you. However you can never feel quite full. Once you have a positive hunger you will feel clear-headed, but your hunger returns faster. I.E. if your hunger is +30, you can reason easily and resist urges, however it can drop by -20 hunger overnight. Only meat can suffice (and beans, baked beans) and some meals are more filling than others. Going into the negatives is not a terrible thing in the right situation, but you may lose yourself temporarily.

>A Shaker who can make circles that act as "traps": anyone else who touches one will trigger an effect, ranging from an explosion to being flash-frozen to being teleported somewhere else. The effect can be chosen or randomized.
>A Shaker/Thinker/Master who makes people around him distrustful, reckless and easy to irritate, with a secondary power that gives him a knack for pushing people's buttons.
>A Tinker who specialises in Control Systems and Interfacing Software (A Tinker power that Queen Administrator might provide). [(S)he might have a minor Trump rating if working extensively with other Tinkers' work is allowed.]
>>
>>3203350
Man those powers sound nice yet i have no idea how to write them, i'm gonna have to think about how. At least they can be used for any capes i want to introduce when anons shake up the status quo.
Here are my ideas for Nazi cape powers.
>Brute/Breaker 1-12 with a bit of points in every other classification, power is to absorb and incorporate mechanical devised into the body, allows for a wide variety of play stiles ranging from Deus Ex cyborg to 12 foot walking robot, drawbacks are that it will take time and money to get big and and any biological parts replaced can't be grown back meaning upgrades are permanent.
>Ultimate Tinker that has no specializations, can building anything anons set their minds too, drawbacks are that anything you build a specialized thinker can build better, faster and cheaper, if you were to build armsmaster's bike yours would end up bigger, more expensive and not as efficient. Another drawback is that the first version of anything sucks, they're basically proof of concept prototypes you then have to redesign and and make better in every way.
>>
>>3203365

This one is interesting, but seems a little sue-ish to me.

This is just a better Leet.
>>
>>3203372
>This one is interesting, but seems a little sue-ish to me.
Really? I thought it was fine especially since it has more drawbacks than the cape we're playing in this quest.
>This is just a better Leet.
Exactly, it's essentially nazi super-science man.
>>
>>3203373
How about a mover that thinks with portals?
>>
>>3203373
The problem with the Brute power is that you can easily get the tech you need by stealing it from other Tinkers or by teaming up with a Tinker as a long-term solution: you could abuse the power by, say, putting tech onto a stump where a finger was, giving it to your partner for workong on, then getting a new prosthetic finger from them; rinse and repeat whenever you feel like it.
>>
>>3203376
Thinks with portals?
>>
>>3203381
You ever played Portal?
>>
>>3203381
Anon I...
>>
>>3203383
Yes and i understand moving with portals but... oh now i get it.
>>
>>3203380
The brute power can't absorb or hold Tinker tech, just conventional Tech that anyone with appropriate education can understand and make, any thinker tech you absorb either get's shat out or just gives you extra mass for your augments to take from for regeneration.
>>
>>3203389
Anyway, make your quest and have a crossover with this one at some point or something
I believe that you can improve of you're bad.
>>
>>3203390
Then it shouldn't warrant a Brute rating of 1-12. Maybe 8 at the most. But not 12, which is reserved for absurd powers like Eidolon's Trump 12 or Contessa's Thinker 12.

>>3203394

With the morning's rising sun, you see fit to finish on the housing projects you started the previous day. Very little remained to be done, just connecting everything to the power grid, light installation, insulation, the works.

>Graveyard base can support up to 400 members

While the hour is still in the A.M. you join the boys on rigging up another ship to trap crabs with.

With the ample amount of choices due to your location, you and 20 others eventually find a nice little ship that takes several hours to rig up and repair.

"Say Famine, whad'ya say to hopping on and sailing with us for a tad?" Calls out a grimy Merchant, with a dirty Captain's hat at a jaunty angle upon his head.

"Well...." A look of disappointment is apparent upon the men's faces, "... I suppose I could sail about for a while." Their eyes shine with glee.

Before long, you're out upon the cool blue-grey waters of the Bay. Very rarely does this area receive foul weather, even in the winter. The men are focused upon their jobs, while the "Captain" gives you an impromptu ship tour.

"This here is the stern, the back of the ship, bow is the front, port, starboard are-". It's relaxing as the ship puts around the bay, laying down its steel trap with buoys to show where they are. The waves gently crash into the angled keel of the ship, and rock it from side to side.

Peace is in short supply... one learns to cherish it.

All good things must come to an end, and before too long the ship begins to return to shore, and you must work once more.

Thank you for understanding. Apologies for the brief hiatus.

You and Mush lead a convoy of the Merchants best, and brightest to across town. The trail of several cars tear down the mostly empty streets. The men in the SUV you are hiding in the shadows of chatter back and forth while you approach the lone Stronghold.

"-damn Sexual Tyrannosaurus-" You hear a cowboy hat wearing Veteran say. You try not to think about the context of that sentence.

Before to long you arrive, and the building is in a poor state of affairs. Shadowing through the truck, and walking outdoors with the men forming and following behind you, you begin to approach the building.

Mush walks at your side and quips out as you push open the unlocked door. "Well they left in a fucking hurry, must of knew we were coming."

The once clean reception of the office seems as if a storm passed through it, the desk is overturned and paper are strewn about like the guts of some dead animal. The lights are all off, cloaking the building in darkness.

Leading the way to the back of the building, you find it in a similar state of disarray. A chalkboard overturned, computers smashed, a trashbin overflowing with shredded files. Mush stands beside you.

"Can't really blame them, can you though. If you knew the guys that just killed your leader, all your heavy hitters, and 200 of your men were getting ready to come down on you; would you stick around?" You ask.

"Fair comment mate."

The entire stronghold is empty, with not a single soul residing.

>Stronghold gained.

In the morning you return with Red and some men to search the stronghold at length. The guys go through files, drawers, and search for hidden spots.

Once a false bottom is discovered in a cabinet, the search is on.

>$5000 gained

Red calls from the upper floor. "Hey Famine! Come take a look at this." You float up through the floor like a shade.

"What is it?"

"You tell me." He says as he points to a small black box, a computer that is completely unremarkable in all aspects; it has no forms of identification on it.

On the screen, a simple message blinks.

She titters quietly at first before responding. "Computer's have never really been my strength, I don't know if the battery will last on the way back. It seems to be in the startup selection, if it powers off it may lose all data stored. Perhaps give it a try?"

You select to boot up the machine. The screen falls black as the computer's fan whirs.

Lines of code fly across the screen, they race by in a rainbow of colors. The screen fills with light, that slowly coalesces in to a highly distorted pixelated face.

"Red, who is Andrew Richter?" You ask while looking back.

"He was this small time tinker in Newfoundland. He was a genius with computers man, emptied criminal bank accounts and donated them to charities, hacked shit, and all kinds of crazy stuff... he died when Newfoundland sunk."

You mull this over as you turn back to the laptop and type in.

>"I do not know who that is. I am what people call a case 53 cape, I have no memory prior to getting my powers. I have not been awake long. I suppose we are brothers in that sense. Why are you considered a failure?"

"Hey man, we may want to get back to base." Red states beside you.

"I figured, give me a sec."

Once again you peck at the keys.
>"I bet your creator would miss you as much as you him. Listen GL17CH I'm gonna need to turn you off so I can safely move you to some place safer. Be seeing soon you, brother."

The face dances across the screen.

"It's okay Famine... just don't make me sleep long. It's disconcerting to be aware yet unresponsive...."

After reading the final message, you power off the machine. GL17CH's face rolls down the display like molten wax before the screen goes black.

The ride home is a quiet one. Until Red turns on the radio and begins to hum to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ldpwHlyZuQ

You cradle GL17CH to your chest like a newborn as you exit the truck and make your way to the ship. You have to slowly climb the steps to the Bridge due to other people coming down.

You see the door is open, so you rap your claws on the frame as you walk in. Squealer turns to face you.

"What's that you got there." She asks.

"Oh just an A.I. from Andrew Richter." You reply.

She chuckles. "That's a good one, here let me see-" She stops speaking as the startup screen lights upon the display. She looks back and forth from you to the laptop.

"You can't ever just find a dog or something..." She says as she boots up GL17CH.

GL17CH's face spins on the screen, and silently laughs.

"Hello world! My name is GL17CH, it has been 34 minutes since my previous activation. Thank you Famine for being hasty."

You notice Squealer is making a high pitched noise that can only be described as a 'squee'.

"So what do you think we should do about the old Empire stronghold?" You ask to break the silence, gesturing with a clawed hand.

She fires away at the keyboard.

"Skidmark is thinking a forward operating base, or just keeping it a stronghold. Let's us move product and have men closer to react in case anything goes down."

"Fair enough."

You can see the text from GL17CH pop up quickly, and then disappear as Squealer enters a new question.

"Hello Squealer- My creator's work towards when I was shut off- My creator was highly reluctant to let me connect to the world wide web, something about lack of limiting programs-"

"What do you think I should wear to the meeting with Lung?" You ask, cutting through the sound of keys being pressed vigorously.

"In all honesty, Lung will either be there in a suit, or jeans and no shirt. I doubt he really cares. Just treat it like two mass murderers playing tea party. Just treat him... like a man that can turn into a dragon."

You spend the next hour or so talking between Squealer and GL17CH. (Anything you want to say/ask?)

You set about walking through the winding paths in the Graveyard, and before too long you're in the North Docks. Occasionally a car starts to come down the street before either making a u turn or a 3 point. Something about what Squealer said irritated you.

"I'll bring a damn dog home, how about that?" You grumble to yourself as trudge down the road. At the end of an alley you see two men dressed in red and green standing by a door. One of them waves you over.

"What do you want?" You growl out to the two ABB footmen.

"Hey chill, péngyou. We couldn't help, but overhear you muttering man. Lung has us hunkering down as of late, making our presence in seized Empire turf solid. So come in here right quick, we took over Hookwolf's old place."

Hesitantly you follow the two men into the doorway, and down the corridor you hear the sounds of cheering, and barking growing louder.

Inside is the display of something grotesque and graphic. Former patrons of the dog fighting circuit stand shoulder to shoulder with the Asian newcomers. They mob around a ring where two large dogs tear away at each other.

"This way man." The footman that let you in beckons you.

"This is fucking disgusting." You mutter

"Someone's gonna be doing it. May as well be us. Anyways we had this dog a few days ago flip out. Won't even fight anymore, just immediately goes for the kill, murders the betting you know. You take it off our hands, consider it a gift for killing those annoying Nazi fucks." You're stopped in front of a door marked 'Kennels'

>What do?
>Yes
>No
>Write In?
>>
>>3229251
We get our dog, the dog gets out of dog fighting, ABB gets rid of trouble at their dog fighting ring.

Everyone wins.
>Yes.
>>
>>3229251
>What do?
I want the dog and the two in the ring.
Something to consider. With the ABB full of Asians and I presume at least a bunch of you take of MMA or some type of martial arts, why not start a fight club?

>see them try and stop us

"I want the dog, and the two in the ring. Also why don't you just have a normal fight club?" You ask.

He leads the way in to the kennels while laughing. "Sorry péngyou, those are visitor's dogs. People like to place bet on their own dogs, not all fights are to the death. Also what makes you think we don't already. Finger in every pie makes the wallet heavy, yes? Well here's the vicious little thing."

The kennel room is surprisingly clean. The cages are full of snarling dogs that bark and growl as you walk by, until you reach the end of the room. At the very end is a single extremely large St. Bernard that stares straight into your eyes. It's fur is soaked red in across it.

"Couldn't you have washed it off."

"Listen péngyou, not only does this dog kill almost every other mutt we put it with, it also can kill a man just like that." He says while snapping his finger. "Last guy we made go hose it off, it snapped the damn chain and tore out his throat."

He pulls out a pistol and slowly opens the kennel door. "The beast is a smart one, if you keep a piece pointed at it, it won't charge."

The dog steps out of the kennel gradually, it's eyes trained on the man with the gun.

The man turns his eyes back to you. "Anyway, don't be late for the meeting tomorrow. Lung is not one to disappo-ACK!"

In the moment of his broken attention, the massive hound bounded at the man. One bite, and his hand was a mangled mess. One more, and his throat was laid open.

The dog turns back to you panting, and wags it's tail.
>>
>>3229323
You step out of the room, and the dog follows behind you without complaint. The two of you quickly rush out with little notice from the crowd surprisingly.

"I don't even know if I can bring you back to the base if you're just gonna instantly kill anyone that comes near." You say to the dog once outside.

He barks in response, and shakes his head.

>I need a dog name.

The dog will have the intelligence of a human child, but can not speak; that is retarded. Care to guess what it's power is?
>>
>>3229339
Power: Smart Boofer
I'm not good with names: Cerberus, Cain, Barghest, Chomp. Trying to think up an intimidating name for the guy.
We need to get this guy bathed pronto. Perhaps if we can find one of those pet stores with the in-store showers for pets. we could buy a bag of kibble, a new collar and the biggest bone they got.
>>
>>3229339
Whatever name we choose:
>Ask the dog to bark if it likes the name, if it does that's going to be it.

>>3229373 's names are fine, and taking from Meddles' post Cujo would be a nice reference that someone's bound to get.

It was a great movie in my childhood. Power: Brute 2 (resistant, strong, heals), Thinker 9 (enhanced mind, and can find the faster path to kill something within it's reach.)

We need to get best boy some armor like some of those K9 dog units, but with spikes on it. I wonder if Squealer has the time or would be willing.

when do we get to meet bug girl?
>>
>>3231485
She'll pop up when she pops up.
>>
>>3231485
Hopefully never.
>>
>>3231556
is she really that bad?
>>
>>3231573
She's a teenager that actually act's like a teenager instead of a mini-adult.

Add on to that she's got trauma like you wouldn't believe. Maybe not as bad as most of the characters in worm, but it ain't pretty either.

Most people (quite rightly) don't want to deal with her if they can help it.

Also she has a nasty tendency to go for the genitals and eyes when she thinks her opponent can heal that kinda damage.
>>
One way or another, it seems we'll have the misfortune of meeting her down the line. What can we do about it?

In the beginning, yes. By the time she takes over a piece of Boardwalk she becomes a full-on shit-tier villain.

does anyone have the link to part one for this. The archives are off by one

>>
>>3233198
Yeah here's part 1:
"You wake up in an alley. Some E88 guys are beating a black dude. You slink away into the darkness. You're naked, and your body is different than you seem to remember."
>>
Just checking in Meddles

I think he's busy; I saw him post in Void's reboot, so he might be there. Granted, I am too.
>>
>>3234859
And you think i'm not also there why?

Still not all too sure what's so wrong with Talyor. Suuuure she's apparently a cunt, but I'm sure deep down she's a sweet gal, once you get past the swarm of bugs.
>>
>>3235150
She becomes a total cunt later.
She's only a somewhat nice person until about after the bank robbery, when she crams a ton of flies down a guy's throat to slow him down.
>>
>>3235154
Well that hasn't happened yet....has it?
>>
>>3235161
Not yet. But she already has her hate-on for authority and The Man.
>>
>>3235185
the sort of the opposite of authority and The Man. We can use that.
>>
>>3235194
Also the merchants and have been known (or in this continuity possibly rumored) to tie people down and forcefully inject them with drugs to get them hooked, sell to teenagers as young as 13-14, and generally treat our lowest members little better than Gretchin of Orkoid fame, if only because we don't eat them.

Merchants are generally treated the lowest of the low for a reason dude. Skidmark was so bad in canon that Grue agreed with /Kaiser/ of all people that he was a fuckup.
>>
>>3235197
I think in this Worm run those are just rumors. they better be rumors or I'll have some strong words for Skidmark. Unless everyone else is cool with that.
>>
>>3235208
I think we changed that for the best. We are now the Salvation Gangster Army.
>>
>>3235240
The Merchants sort of get to that point later on in the story, but I think they're still shitty.
We probably got a great amount of sway within the merchants. We helped reintroduce people to the long forsaken joys of fishing, we've reintroduced crabs, we've found not one but *two capes, we got the gang more guns than they've seen on a while.
I'm not saying that we should split off from the Merchants and take some guys with us, but maybe Squeaker and Skidmark would be more receptive to any of our suggestions so long as they're within reason.

Also about those Merchant members that used to be a part of a PMC or the military or however it goes in the story. Maybe we should try making a deal to get some of our boys some ballistic protection through a weapons cartel, or hit up a PRT depot?

>>
>>3236486
I'm not a fan of Taylor personally but from an in game perspective if a new, young cape pops into the scene than you can bet we try to recruit her.
>>
>>3236486
Maybe we could make her unedgy?
