(Sorry to start running so late)

Ulric: "Quick! He's getting away!"
>"He's gone. We need to focus on what's left. Ishan, are the ones named Widalf and Olin still around."
Ishan: "No, Olin went missing a while back and Widalf jumped ship not soon after the fighting began stealing most of our best potions."
You look towards Drezor's lifeless body, any undead that were under his control will now be hostile to anything alive.
>"Are the children and prisoners safe?"
Ishan: "Any prisoners left will be safe inside their cells. The clones are hiding in the Hatchery with the Illume, rabid undead may be threatening them."
>"We better help them, lets go to the hatchery, destroy any restless undead you find!"
You lead your party up the smoky stairs back to the ground floor.
Across the floor and down the stairs you find the alchemists lab and beyond the hatchery. The room is particularly warm and filled will several gross human sized eggs. There are several skeletal warriors fighting amongst themselves. Some are trying to reach the children and Illume cowering in the corner the remainders are trying to defend them. One of the clone children wield magic, fighting along side the skeleton guardians.
You crash into the mad undead from behind and attack.
There aren't that many of them so you only have to fight one each. A skeleton with a war-axe shambles to strike you.

You both swing at each other, you weapons clash against each other and don't do any damage.

You attack the skeleton for 23 bone crunching damage.
The skeltal counters with a power attack but only manages to do 2 damage, its weapon highly outclassed by your armour.

You power attack the undead for 25 damage, compacting its chest plate and probably smashing half of its ribs, nonetheless it fights on.
It tries to slice your head off but misses.

You power attack again, you only do 16 damage, but it's more than enough to finish it off. The skeleton's ruined body crumples to the ground dead.

>You gain 175XP
>You now have 48600

The other crazed undead are quickly put down by your allies. The children continue to cower behind their undead protectors unsure of you and your party.
Olin Clone: "Ishan? What's going on? Where's Azahl? Why aren't you fighting the dark eyes?"
Ishan: "The enemies have been defeated, these dark eyes mean you no harm. Azahl has gone away, just like Ikara. Everyone except the people in this room have left."
Uphi Clone: "What? why did they leave?"
Ishan: "You will understand when you're older. The rest of us will soon depart as well, from now on you children are alone."
In shock children all start talking at once terrified of been abandoned.

>(To Ishan) "Are you really going to abandon them?"
>(To Ishan) "What's in the eggs? More clones?"
>(To the children) "Don't be afraid, I'll find you a new home."

It depends on how human they are at this point. Definitely don't abort them in front of the kids, especially not before dispatching the undead.

They are possibly the best loot of this place. We have to remember that we are in a royal mission to secure the future of our kingdom.
Fast growing, naturally inclined to the arcane arts retainers are a good way to strengthen the kingdom. Even more so than the other child's, whose loyalty can be devious.

You turn to Ishan.
>"What's in the eggs? More clones?"
Ishan: "That's what they're for, but I don't think we're incubating any new clones at this time."
>"I see."
You address your party.
>"I doubt Azahl will just leave without causing any other troubles, stay on guard."
You take a few steps towards the children. They eye you warily and withdraw a few paces as you approach.
>"Congratulations children, now you are under the protection of the Kingdom of Uthain and you are, in time, to serve it as the best of your abilities.
Fear not, as all your misconceptions about the exterior will soon be corrected."
Azahl Clone: "You presume much dark eye."
You don't respond but make a mental note to keep an eye on the boy.
>"Everyone let's move this conversation to the alchemist lab. Shornas, take the brute and erm, zombie Godor and keep and eye on the kids."
Shornas: "Okay"

Everyone except the children and Shornas move into the alchemy lab.
>"Ishan, can you locate Azahl? I want to be sure the he fled before looting the place and disposing of the remaining undead. You may leave after that."
You hold out the crystal ball.
Ishan: "Ah what a precious item you have there, with this it should be easy to track him."
He sits down on the floor with the crystal ball in his lap and quickly activates it, he operates it much faster and much more elegantly than Salaman.
An image of Azahl walking through the woods at a hurried pace becomes clear. His speed boost has worn off but he's no longer in the artificial valley. He suddenly stops and rests his hand against a tree to catch his breath, his head springs up as if he just detected something, he turns to look straight at you and Ishan and the image slowly fades.
Ishan: "He is difficult to scry on."
He hands you your crystal ball.
>"Now leave this place."
Ishan nods and walks past your group and ascends the stairs.
Alina: "I was kind of hoping I'd get his gun after all this..."
>"Don't worry, we'll get you a weapon upgrade sooner or later."
>"Alright, Ulric and Alina go loot the place see what magic items these guys are hiding. The Shawel come with me, we need to free the prisoners."
Niiqarquusu: "May I have a word Seeker?"
>"Sure"
Niiqarquusu: "I must thank you for what you have wrought this day. I loathed the inhumane experiments these necromancers conducted but my vows bound me to not interfere. >"I need to free the prisoners first, I'll be back.
Niiqarquusu: "As you will."
There is only a solid wall connecting the hatchery to the prison so you have to take the long way to the morgue.
>"Hmm maybe one of these deceased wizards has a prison key."
Shawel: "Then we will search them."
She casts water whip dragging a corpse to herself.
Searching the bodies you find they don't have any useful equipment until you get to Thezax. On his person you find a large almost primitive looking key.
Shawel: "Only one?"
>"Their locks were probably limited by their transmuter's locksmithing knowledge."
You notice Uphi's unconcious body left forgotten amongst the dead, You pick her up over your shoulder and take her with you through the acid hole into the prison.
There are no torches but the place is still illuminated by dim magical light. The sound of your footsteps and light clanking of your armour echoes down the hall and the voices of the prisoners call out to you.
Various adults are trapped in individual cells with large locks. Mostly men and a few women, they're quite scraggly and very thin.
Thezax' key is a one size fits all for the bulky but simplistic locks. The prisoners weakly but joyously scamper out of their cages offering their eternal gratitude.
You pour out your rations and pile of apples, they're well over the natural shelf life of an apple but still seem fresh. The prisoner's quickly devour them leaving razor thin cores.

You toss Uphi into an empty cell and lock it.
>"Uh okay, you guys sit tight and enjoy the apples we need to make sure all the skeletons are gone."
Prisoner: "Bless you sir Christof."
As you walk out you speak to Shawel.
>"Maybe I should send Alina to comfort the prisoners, while the rest of us finish destroying the undead and looting."
Shawel: "Yes, let her take a little lady-break while the men take care of business!" she cracks her knuckles.

You proceed upstairs to the 1st floor. Crushing any odd skeletal you encounter on the way. You find Ulric and Alina ransacking the bedrooms.
>"Alina, we've let out the prisoners, their safe but a bit rattled, could you keep an eye on them for me."
Alina: "Sure, you can count on me."
She goes down to the lower levels.

After a thorough ransacking you acquire the following magic items.

Gloves of Spider Climbing (Relic)
Rod of Wind Wall (Usable once per day)
Rod of Enervation (Usable once per day)
Undershirt of Protection +2 (Relic)
Bra of Incineration (Relic)
Ring of Deflection +10 (Relic)
Bag of Dragon's teeth (Contains 5 teeth)

There are also lots of mundane items. Their storerooms in particular have a lot of raw materials such as timber, metal ingots and sheets of glass.
You meet up with Ulric and Shawel.
Ulric: "I think we've taken down the last of them."
Shawel: "There was a Golem in the gardens but it was fragile and destroyed itself trying to attack me."
>"Yes I think we're done here."

You know you should execute Uphi but feel reluctant even though you know you should do it.
You put it off and speak to the Illume instead.
>"Hey before we get started, you were sort of part of this enclave right? Can you tell me what crimes the wizards commited here?"
Niiqarquusu: "The enclave acquired human captives through slaver traders or hiring mercenaries to kidnap street scum from Oakheart, illegal in both Aflor's local law and Lasal imperial law. All main members contributed to the organisation with full knowledge of its illicit activities. The necromancers utilised the captives for two purposes: 1 - captives who had potential as wizards were cloned, a process that required the prisoner to remain alive. 2 - the captives not useful for cloning were vivisected (while unconcious) for scientific study and then euthanized. Other than that secretly building a castle and stockpiling an army of undead are also illegal. Revealing their location and reporting their crimes while they were active would have been a violation of my sacred vows of secrecy."
>"Well... thankyou for telling me, I would like to speak to the Arch Duke of Aflor."
Very quickly you are in contact with Arch Duke Lochridge...

Niiqarquusu: "Hail Christof? How goes your quest?"
>"The evil enclave has perished, however the leader, Azahl, escaped. He is heavily wounded but still very dangerous."
Niiqarquusu: "Oh"
Niiqarquusu pauses for bit making you think the Duke is going "oooooooooooh."
Niiqarquusu: "Yes very well done, I was so focused on Tywardreath and the wish granter I forgot all about that. Thank you for your service Seeker. You can collect the bounty I set at Oakheart, I'll make sure this Azahl person is a wanted man."

We can ask how the negotiations are going to our own side, pressing him can be counterproductive.
>>
>>3212280

>It's an honour to speak with you again Arch Duke Lockridge, may I ask how are things proceeding with the Wish Granter mission?"
Niiqarquusu: "Wonderful Christof. I've finished putting together a team and have plans to establish a forward base in Tywardreath. Once

you get there we can spearhead you and your party into the royal palace there you can utilise or capture the wish granter, as we agreed.

Tywardreath is as good as mine!"
>"Very good your excellency. When the time comes to enter Tywardreath I'll come find you."
Niiqarquusu: "Magnificent. But I must be going now, good luck on your quest Seeker, you can't see it but I'm giving you a wink and

friendly pat on the shoulder."
>"Farewell my Arch Duke."
The illume crosses his arms.
Niiqarquusu: "Conversation Terminated"
>"I want to speak with Uthain now"
Niiqarquusu: "Of course"
Niiqarquusu contacts Uppulu and a few minutes later the king responds.
Niiqarquusu: "Christof my Seeker, well done on your progress so far. I am very ambivalent towards your decision to involve Arch Duke

Lockridge and his inner circle in this operation but I trust in you and your decisions. But of course, knowing you there must be a reason

for this call. What do you require from me?"
>"Sire, I would like to update the status of my mission, and inform you of a discovery I have made..."
You tell him everything you have learned about the wish granter and your perspective of your meeting with the Arch Duke. You inform him of

the clones that are currently in your custody.
>Niiqarquusu: "I understand, I would gladly accept these children as retainers. However you would have to arrange for them to be sent to

Kiniburn Port outside of Aflor so I can retrieve them. As for the eggs, they are of no use to me, a skilled necromancer is needed to

conduct the cloning and presumably the same person is able to create the eggs."
>Niiqarquusu: "As for our negotiations with Aflor, we have agreed to liberate the necropolis of Tywardreath, and the castle Malgrave in

exchange for the one Wish Granter. The idea of you bringing such a kingly gift to Uthain is tempting but I know there are risks that are

not fully understood concerning the things. All decisions regarding your quest and the wish granter I leave in your capable hands.

Remember you are the Seeker."
Niiqarquusu: "Conversation Terminated."
You head back towards the prison. On the way you're stopped by Azahl's clone. He points at you accusingly.
Clone: "
Where's my father? Did you destroy him?"

>"Yes."
>"I'm sorry you lost your father boy, he was an evil man. He had to be stopped."

You use a chromatic potion, and sprint forward and grab is arm. He struggles and catches a glimpse of the white glowing from your visor.
>"The dark eye thing is getting tiresome."
Clone: "Let go of me! Let go!"
You drag him back to the hatchery and tell Shornas to not let another one out.
Capturing him was surely the right choice, he would likely have been killed by some wild monster or worse reunited with Azahl. He will be much better off in service to the Uthainian crown.

Now the only thing left to do is execute the prisoner. You find her in her cell alone. Alina has taken the prisoners to the ground floor. Uphi is awake, meditating with her back turned to the door.

>"You're organization kidnapped innocent people, purchased slaves and held them in bondage. You vivisected and experimented on them. What do you have to say for yourself?"
Uphi: "I plead guilty."
>"That's it? Do you feel guilt for what you've done?"
Uphi: "The things we did here were forbidden. We were conducting research no one had done before. The first to reveal these secrets of human biology and necromancy."
She grips the bars of her cell.
Uphi: "What could be more exciting than being the bleeding edge of scientific discovery? How could I regret something so magnificent?"
>"I can't let you get away with what you've done."
Uphi: "I am not afraid."
She walks away from the cell door and sits down facing away from you.
You open the cell door and take her life.

You spend the night in the wizards' beds. The children locked safely in their barracks (which was already lockable from the outside.) The following day you round up all the prisoners and the children and proceed on your way back to Oakheart.

The garrison is very pleased to see the townspeople returned to them, you're paid 4000 Talons, (3000 for the bounty and 1000 for rescuing the prisoners). You arrange to have Godor's share of 750 be sent to his next of kin.

You find a place where you can lodge all the children and you party for the night. Although you have to have Ulric keep an eye of Azahl's troublesome clone (who you found is named Ricon.) Your party members and hirelings all sit down to being a night of drinks and celebration. You leave the tavern to get some air and are approached once again by the necromancer Kalim.

Kalim: "So you put an end to the wizards."
>"Yes, but Azahl got away. There are many loose ends."
Kalim: "That's why I'm here. The children will likely not be accepted here in Oakheart, let alone adopted, their eyes glow white permanently. I can take them to a temple of necromancy where they will be cared for. And I assure you they are not wicked like Azahl."
>"Thank you for the offer but I actually planned to have them sent to Kiniburn and then shipped to Uthain."

I cant believe I got banned over the weekend and couldn't participate in the quest. I was thinking all week about it and the things that needed getting done but now the chance has slipped away. For example I wanted to talk with ulpi about the philosophers stone, was it made out of humans or not? now we will never know it could have been the key to transmuting water back in our homeland!
