You're currently riding in a limousine to the airport. Across from you sits a young woman holding a beige folder. :You my friend have been granted the opportunity of a lifetime. You've been hired by Genesis Corp to act as the head scientist of a lab under a dummy company."

"You know the drill your job is to make weapons. I believe it says in here what you specialize in, but lets go over the broader terms." They've done their research you know this is all just for show. You already know you can't refuse... not that you'd want to mind you.

>Mechanics(15): The mechanics state deals with artificial creations and intricate machinery. Normally used in the development and improvement of weapons.

>Engineering(15): Used for the building of new structures and upgrading them. Useful for making sure B.O.Ws don’t escape from captivity. Also helps for building in more remote, or dangerous locations.

>Biological(15): Aptitude with manipulating biological genetic structures. The basis of any good bioweapons project, of course you don’t have to make solely biological weapons. Can also help find cures for any viral agents.

>Nano(15): The study of everything small and tiny. Deep research in this field may allow one to create sentient viral swarms, or self replicating machines. Can generally improve research in other fields.

>Good Boy Points(0): One of the perks for working for Genesis is they can get you anything you need, but you need to prove yourself a useful asset.

>Funds(50): Money makes the world go round and you’re no different.

>Net Income(0): How much your making or losing. Don’t become a liability.

"Ah here it is!" She exclaims pulling out a single sheet with a small picture of yourself clipped to it.

>Name: Richard Armitage
>Backstory: The Armitage family used to own one of America's leading weapons manufacturers, and had quite the fortune in the 1940's. These days, though, the company is gone and the family's lost most of its wealth. Richard was always brilliant, though, one of MIT's best and brightest, and at just 25 holds multiple Ph.D's. Richard dreams of carrying on the family legacy through his own work, if not by running a company.
>Specialties: Nano (15) and Mechanics (15) - Richard Armitage dreams of designing the perfect combat android, a nanomachine-based supersoldier capable of rendering all former weaponry obsolete.

(Yep this is actually an Umbrella Quest, we're just going to be almost completely removed from events.)
"Hmm, Adam Birkin. If I didn't know better I'd say that's a familiar name, but oh well." She says looking over your sheet. "Says here you graduated with a masters in Engineering and Nanotechnology. I must admit that is rather impressive." The limo finally leaves the winding roads of the forest behind, and now without any trees blocking the way you see the city sprawling before you. The airport, your destination, feels both so close and world away. Your reflection is caught in the window. You've seen better days a raggedy beard clings to your face, and a stripe of gray marks your hair. "Of course as you are aware Genesis Corp is itself a smaller child company of Umbrella. So the head of research was surprised when you came with an Umbrella replication."

She digs around in the folder, while she searches she continues speaking. "You should be aware you're not the only one being given this opportunity. It's been many years since Umbrella has created any successful B.O.Ws. To remedy this they given the resources to several company's the resources to establish new labs. Of course the locations for research are limited. Fortunately you're getting first pick."

>>[Atlantic Base] A recent purchase of Umbrella gifted to Genesis. This small island in the Atlantic ocean has sat empty for years till it was recently purchased. A small waterproof concrete facility has been built on top of the island while a portion under has been excavated. Any future expansion will likely have to be undersea expansions. [Hard to Infiltrate, Large amounts of Unknown Organisms, Water can be used to test weapons in a variety of simulated environments. +5 Bio, +5 Engineering]
>>[Rocky Mountains Base] A large mansion established in Montana on the rocky mountains. This base is one of the most inconspicuous. To most it will appear a large bright modern mansion in the mountains, meanwhile underneath a large system of bunkers and tunnels hide the truth. [Cave Systems underneath may hide new life, hiding in plain site, several ranchers live miles away possibly a good source of test subjects and food. +10 Mechanics]
>>[Amazon Base] A base located in the thick of the Amazon rainforest... we'll be honest we can't say much. It was actually established in the 80's as a research facility but shortly went dark after it was established. [Hard to upgrade, home to plenty of test material, hard to access, leftovers??? +10 to Bio]
>>[City Base] You'll be set up as a fake pharmacy company in St Louis, Missouri. [Easy to upgrade, Easier to make contacts, Easy to sabotage, REALLY easy to sabotage, Like seriously look out for fires and corporate espionage. +5 Bio, +5 Nano.

The plane begins its descent. The Island is decent sized about 20 miles across and 17 miles long. On the west coast of the island you can see a large concrete building, and several reinforced bay windows looking out over the island and the ocean. Waiting down on the runway you see a black car with a man in a suit standing by it. He doesn't wait for your plan to stop before walking onto the runway to greet you. You exit the small light aircraft with your suitcase, and it pulls off to park in a small hanger.

The man in the suit extends his hand. "A pleasure to meet you Mr.Birkin."

"Please call me Adam."

"So be it Mr.Adam" He replies in a friendly manner. He leads you over to the car where you store your case. Once you enter the car he drives off onto a small dirt road leading to the facility. "I'm afraid you likely won't be seeing much of me after this sir. I'm your so called "saboteur" I make sure your research goes unimpeded and the others don't."

He grabs a folder from the car door and hands it to you. "That holds all the information of the facility employees." He tells you.

>Scientist(5): Add +2 to whatever research project they’re assigned to. Upkeep: 0.2 funds.

>Security(5): Add +5 to defense and negating disasters out in the field. Upkeep: 0.2 funds

>Intern(10): Can be used as either Security or as Scientist, but only gain half as much to rolls. Becomes another type of employee after 10 weeks. Adds +2 to construction and facility upgrades. Upkeep: 0.1 funds.

>Saboteur(1): You have a lot of competitors out there. And you need someone to slow them down or defend you. +20 on any actions related to corporate espionage. Upkeep: 1 funds.

You drive past a fenced off area. "That's where we keep the solar panels." He says when he notices your look. "We also have a wind farm. And there're some geothermal vents off the coast, though we haven't built anything on them. That's your choice." He looks tense for a moment before leaning over. "Though if you ask me you can never have too much backups Mr.Adam."

Send 1 scentist, 1 security and 2 interns to scouting the four locations

The last scentist will debrief us on what we already know
The last security will.do his best to secure the base and see the best ways ti upgrade it for better protection and more layers of interal security against BOWs.
The last 2 interns will do accounting worl and find out how much all these upgrades and expansions will cost us.

The saboteur will scout rivals.

The sun is setting on the Island, so far you've been here a week, and you've finally finished setting up your office. The bay window of your office looks out over the beach, waves lapping against the shore. The report from your saboteur is on a rival lab, Eden Tech. They specialize in Mechanics and Nano work. They're led by Richard Armitage. They've based themselves out of Chicago as a robotics company. This was all the agent could learn without risking compromising themselves.

The team you sent out to the ocean floor reports on little except for an interesting slug they've named the Adder Slug, due to its resemblance to the scales of a viper. It has the ability to regrow a small set of spikes on its back at a rapid pace, hours actually. The team sent to the coast have also discovered an amazing species of urchin that can launch its spikes through the water after finding potential threats through seeing via a small grouping of powerful electroreceptors.

The team in the forest has only found a large colony of bats native to the island. The team around the vents though have made perhaps the greatest discovery. A species of crab that uses the heat from the vents to increase their activity and efficiency call the vents home. They store this heat in their bodies, before using it to suddenly make great burst of speed.

The interns have also delivered the projected cost for the facility upgrades to you. You look out at the setting sun across the ocean wondering what tomorrow will bring.

>research crab with 2 scentists and 4 interns. Hopfully we can get some product out of this

> research adder with 2 scientists amd 4 interns. We need that money yo

>search forest with 1 scentist 2 interns and a security.

>last 4 security guard base and projects.
>>
>>3257111
Sweet. I think I get the hang of this.

Send one 1 security to ocean floor, coast, jungle, thermal vats, and the last one at the home base for general night guarding.

Have 2 scientists research the regenerative properties of the Adder Slug, 1 scientist investigate the bats, and the last 2 study the crabs.

Have the Interns upgrade the geothermal generators with input from any discoveries from the scientists studying the crabs.

Have the Saboteur Scout Rivals. Have a general report stating how many there are in total, e.g how many significant rivals are there?
