Planet Sadala; home of the Saiyans of Universe 6. It is a beautiful world of lush jungles, great mountains, roaring and winding rivers, and a great variety of indigenous life. Though lovely in appearance, it is home to many dangers. Massive and fearsome beasts roam the wilderness, lush jungles give way to barren wastelands, and neighboring planets have proven hostile to the world of Sadala. Such tough conditions have bred a strong race of warriors, and the prowess of the Saiyans is known across the universe.

In order to defend their civilization, the Saiyans of the past founded the Sadala Defense Force, comprised of many mighty Saiyan warriors who fought off invaders and protected their bastions of civilization from harm. Soon, it became accepted that to invade Sadala was a useless gesture, and the world grew largely safer. This success impressed many across the universe, and soon, other worlds and interplanetary organizations began to come to Sadala, requesting the aid of the Saiyans.

Seeing the benefits of Saiyans continuing to be exposed to intense combat, as well as the financial prosperity it could bring, the Saiyan King expanded the role of the Sadala Defense Force, allowing other worlds to hire Saiyans for protection from invaders. The Sadala Defense Force has since become one of the greatest peace-keeping forces in Universe 6. And now, you intend to join them.

Welcome everyone! This Quest will operate pretty simply. I'll give prompts at the end of each update, and you'll be given a voting period (tentatively set at fifteen minutes for now). I'll allow for votes to multiple options if they don't contradict each other, and write-ins are gladly accepted, though I am going to reserve the right to veto them if I need to.

No dice rolls, at least for now. You're no simple monkey, you're a proud Saiyan, and you can use your head as well as your strength to get out of trouble.

I hope you all have a good time, and without further adieu, let's get started!

All of your life, you've grown up in the shadow of one of Sadala's great mountains, surrounded by the vast, purple jungle that covers much off your planet. It's an environment you've grown quite accustomed to over the years, essentially all you've ever really known. Because of that, a location such as this, though it's on your home world, seems entirely alien.

Sure, there are great structures of stone surrounding you, but they're entirely bare, lacking the vibrant green vegetation that blankets different parts of the Sadalan mountains. There is no grass below your feet, no trees to shield you from the glare of the sun, and each movement of wind from the smallest breeze to the greatest gust kicks up enough dirt and sand to make you cough.

It's so very strange to you, but maybe that's why you're here. If you plan to join the Sadala Defense Force, you'll need to be prepared to do battle in places that are completely out of the norm to you. And at least it seems you aren't the only one feeling discomfort. Many of the other recruits seem to be very much unhappy with their current environment, though a few don't seem to care. In fact, you're pretty sure you heard one of the girls call the uncomfortable Saiyans a "bunch of wimps".

Most of your fellows look to be around your age; teenagers toward the younger end of that title, with the oldest looking to be maybe in their early twenties.

Among those closest to you, you can see a boy about your age, slim in build, dressed in blue. His hair is spiky black, not entirely uncommon in young Saiyans, though the bang hanging down over his face is a bit odd. He looks quite determined, though you catch some looks of sympathy on his face as he sees how uncomfortable some of the others look.

In the other direction is the girl who made the "wimps" comment. She does not look like someone dressed to apply for an elite corp of warriors. With her baggy, purple pants and small pink tube-top, she's dressed more like a delinquent than a member of the Defense Force. Still, her tall, spiky hair and the fierceness in her eyes marks her as very much a Saiyan warrior.

You also spot a guy looking to be a few years older than you, and with a muscular build that tells you he's already dedicated a lot of time and effort to building his physical strength. His head is shaved, and he has a pretty nasty scar on his right cheek. Despite this, he's wearing a jovial smile and looks every bit as excited some of his younger peers.

There's also a woman, probably around twenty, with short, messy dark hair and intense eyes. She's dressed in black, which you can't imagine being comfortable for her in this heat. She doesn't seem to be paying much attention to anyone, looking as if she's only interested in waiting for this whole thing to start.

Some very different people have gathered here, but the goal is all the same for everyone. Today you will fight to prove yourself worthy of joining one of the greatest fighting forces in the universe! The Sadala Defense Force are greatly respected not only on your world, but across many worlds throughout the stars. You'll be a hero, going to exciting new worlds, fighting all kinds of tough opponents, and saving people's lives. Who wouldn't be proud just to try for a chance to become part of something so incredible? Sure, you may be in an unfamiliar place on your world. Sure, it may be a bit uncomfortable. But as you remember why you're here, you can't feel at all bothered about those things. Instead, your blood gets pumping, your excitement grows, and before long, you can't help but shout that excitement to the world!

"Yeah!" your voice rings out across the barren clearing, shattering the relative silence. "Let's do this!"

The tube-topped Saiyan girl rolls her eyes, scowling just a bit as she turns away from you, though the Saiyan in blue smiles in your direction, nodding in agreement with you, his serious demeanor not entirely gone, but with much more obvious excitement and joy being allowed to show themselves along with it.

"That's the spirit!" the bigger guy shouts back to you. "Well said!"

Unable to even hold still anymore, you begin to do some stretches, limbering your body up and getting it ready for the trials that are soon to come. The larger Saiyan gives a hearty laugh at seeing this, and begins to do the same, while the Saiyan in blue begins to hop in place and throw some punches and kicks at the air in front of himself.

The older woman, observing what all the males near her are doing, gives a small smile, but does not join in the warm-up exercises, returning to staring off into the distance with that same determined expression. It's good to know that she's not entirely without the capacity for happiness, at least. For a second there, you were beginning to wonder if she was just a statue or something.

You and the other guys continue your exercises until a voice calls out to you all. Following it, you find yourself looking at a broad-shouldered man of average height, his dark hair in a widow's peak and tied in a ponytail, with a small beard on his chin. He's dressed in the attire of the Sadala Defense Force, and your excitement only grows as you know that this is the man you've come to see. This is the one who will test you and see if you have what it takes to join the Sadala Defense Force.

"Welcome, everyone!" he addresses the assembled recruits. "I am Renso, and I'll be testing to see if you all are cut out to join us on the Sadala Defense Force! The challenges won't be easy, and the job as members of the force will be even harder. But since you're all here, I'm guessing you're ready to face the challenges ahead."

The big guy, the boy in blue, and the woman all seem quite eager, and are listening intently to Renso as he speaks, though they've likely all already heard this speech, or at least something similar before. The girl in the tube-top, however, seems quite impatient, and is looking at Renso with obvious irritation. Renso either doesn't notice, or just doesn't care.

"The first test is going to be simple," he continues on. "I want to make sure that you all can fight. So pick an opponent for a match. And don't worry, winning isn't the important part here. I just need to make sure that none of you are hopeless in combat."

Your eyes wander over your potential sparring partners, and you choose to face...

>B. The girl in the tube-top

At first, you consider fighting the girl in the tube top. You want to see if she has the strength and skill to back up her attitude. Then, you think about asking the big guy to be your opponent. He seems pretty cool, and you're sure he gets a kick out of fighting, which would probably promise a good time. But then, you think of something that's a little out there. You want to face someone strong, the strongest person here, if you can. And who would be stronger than the man who's already part of the Sadala Defense Force, in charge of testing you all?

As everyone looks around and tries to make up their minds about who to fight, you step forward, and address the man who assigned the challenge to everyone in the first place. He notices you looking at him, and turns to regard you, a questioning look on his own face.

"I want to face you, Renso," you declare.

The blue-clad Saiyan looks shocked at the suggestion, and the big guy looks rather surprised to hear it as well. The woman shakes her head like as one would at a foolish child, though the girl in the tube top actually seems amused by the idea, her lips curling upward in a smirk as she looks between you and Renso.

"Me? You're sure about this?" Renso questions.

You nod your head. Frankly, you don't know if you can win, but you want the best challenge you can get, and you think this is the way to get it. Besides, Renso said winning wasn't the point, here. You just need to show that you're capable in combat, and being up against someone like him will surely force you to give it your all.

"Alright," Renso concedes, turning toward you and bowing his head for a moment. "Let's see what you can do."

Most of the others seem to have given up trying to find opponents for the time being, more interested in seeing how this plays out. It should be interesting. They'll get a glimpse at the skills of a member of the Sadala Defense Force, and find out if the guy who challenged him is really brave or really stupid. You guess you'll find out, too.

Renso stays where he is, eyes trained on you. His posture invites you to make the first move. What will you do?

>A. Rush in there and give him all you have in a full frontal assault!

>B. Blast him with all of your energy and try to batter him down!

>C. Blast the ground in front of him to create a smokescreen, then attack through it

>D. Create a smokescreen, and use that as a decoy while you maneuver and attack from behind

>E. Assume a defensive stance and try to make him come to you

>F. Fire a blast at one of the rocky structures. He's standing in the shadow of one, so the falling rocks could do some damage, or at least distract him

Quickly running over some possible approaches, you decide not to accept his invitation. Sure, you can try something tricky to throw him off, but the simple fact that he's standing there waiting for you gives him an advantage. If you're forced to go in and fight on his terms, you are going to be in serious danger.

But, if you make him come to you, you might be able to level the playing field a bit. With your lack of knowledge of his abilities, you don't know how much difference it will make, but it seems like the best thing you can do is make him come to you. But, then what? You don't want to chance a head-on battle with someone who has you obviously outclassed in experience. You're going to need to get tricky, and hope that your wits can make up for any disadvantages you might find yourself at.

As you take up a defensive stance, Renso watches you with interest, having expected you to take his invitation and come in swinging. The fact that you're taking a more cautious approach is causing him to reevaluate you, and likely to adapt his strategy based on that. The two of you remain motionless, as still as the great masses of stone that dot the landscape. The other Saiyans don't disturb the silence, the only noise being the wind as it travels across the battlefield.

Then, as if heeding some sort of starting gun, Renso shatters the stillness, jumping from his spot and shooting toward you. Your first instinct is to brace yourself and get ready to try and block what's coming, but you manage to fight through that instinct and instead go with your plan, holding out a hand toward the approaching warrior and firing a ball of energy from your palm. Renso's eyes widen perceptibly, and he swerves a bit to dodge what he assumed was an attack directed at him, only to slow and look back in confusion as the attack shoots past, not even passing through the air where he was floating just a moment before. The realization that he didn't need to dodge causes him to watch your blast as it shoots toward one of the rocky structures.

In that moment of distraction, you move. Renso seems to realize this, but by the time he turns around, expecting an attack, you've already made it to another of the rocky structures, taking shelter behind it.

There, you focus your energy, channeling it through your right arm and conjuring up an orb of your power. As you feed more into it, it begins to rapidly grow, but you almost lose your focus when the rocks in front of you are shattered. You stagger back, looking up past the falling rocks and cloud of dust to see Renso hanging in the air, looking down at you with a serious expression on his face.

>A. Throw the energy you've gathered at him!

>B. Maintain the ball of energy you've built and keep trying to feed it.

You're exposed, and you doubt Renso's just going to let you slip away again.

Wait, that's it. He sees that you're still funneling energy into that orb. It's likely that he expects you to attempt another distraction and to go hide once again so you can keep gathering your energy for this one shot. If you play toward that assumption, you should be able to distract him long enough to get a clear shot. It's now or never, so you'd better act fast.

Holding your free hand toward the ground, you fire off another blast of energy, kicking up more dirt and dust which, when combined with what he's already kicked into the air, creates a sizable smokescreen. Hoping that Renso took the bait, you hurl the orb of gathered energy upward through the cloud of smoke, and hear your opponent give a surprised grunt, followed instantly by the sound of your attack detonating, the shockwaves blowing away your smokescreen, and revealing that you did, in fact, score a clean hit on the man. The other Saiyans, all airborne now, look on in silence.

It looks like that hurt him. There's scorch marks on his armor, his teeth are gritting, and he's actually shaking a bit. You don't know how much actual damage it did, but you can tell you surprised him and caused at least some pain. Perhaps if you'd had more time to gather your energy, such a hit would have been more decisive. But frankly, you don't know that you would have gotten another chance.

Renso seems a bit disoriented, but you can't be sure how serious it is. What's your next move?

>A. Seize the moment! Race up and attack!

>B. Bombard him with energy attacks until your stamina runs out

>C. Create another smokescreen and try to hide again. You can gather more energy or think up another strategy

>D. Get into a defensive stance and brace for his counterattack

>E. Rush up at him, fire a blast as a distraction, and try to maneuver behind him

It's impossible to tell just how much your attack really threw him off, but you're going to seize the potential opportunity presenting itself to you. If, in this moment, he's disoriented and his guard has dropped, you can swoop in and finish this!

It's with that hope that you leap from the ground, rushing upward toward Renso and getting ready to attack with all that you've got. As you rise high enough to be on his level, Renso's eyes go wide in fear, and you know that you've managed to surprise him yet again. Pulling back your right arm and clenching your hand into a fist, you let out a mighty yell and throw a punch at the veteran fighter's face.

His arm moves faster than you'd expected, and he's able to grab hold of your wrist, stopping your fist less than an inch away from his face. Your arm trembles as you struggle against his strength, trying to force your fist to move that one inch further and connect with his face.

"That was a nice trick," Renso compliments as he maintains his grip, refusing to allow you to reach your target. "But don't get carried away."

His voice is stern, though you can tell his compliment was genuine and that he's not angry at you for catching him off-guard. He's talking like an instructor, and you suppose you can take that as a good sign.

Any thoughts along that line, or any intent to reply is cut off as Renso punches with his other hand, pounding the air from your lungs as the blow connects with your gut. Your body shakes, and you retch as you fall limp in his grip.

Renso releases your wrist, and you begin to fall.

>A. Quickly open your fist and fire a point-blank energy attack into his face!

>B. Try to recover enough to fire a barrage of energy blasts as you fall

>C. Land on your feet and try to take cover

You feel weak. Hell, you feel like you're going to vomit. But you aren't going to let yourself be beaten just like that. One punch is not going to bring an end to your fight, not when you've been doing so well. If you're going to lose, you're going to go down swinging.

Despite his warning you not to get cocky over the advantage you'd created for yourself, he's done exactly that over his own advantage. It's a simple mistake, one easy to overlook, especially considering the damage he did to you with a single punch, but he's left himself completely exposed to another attack. You struggle to recover, but really, that isn't entirely necessary in this moment, you have enough control over your body to do something as simple as this.

Opening the fist you'd intended to introduce to his face, you fire off a blast of energy, the ball of light finishing the journey your fist could not, and striking the veteran fighter point-blank in the face, catching him by surprise and hitting with full effect.

But you aren't done there.

Holding your other hand toward the ground, you fire off a wave of energy, managing to push yourself back up toward your opponent. Angling your arm, you're able to make it so that the momentum of your blast sends you into a spin, and you follow up your energy attack with a spin-kick right onto the top of Renso's head. Completely unprepared, the veteran fighter takes the full brunt of your blow and is sent plummeting toward the ground below, with you falling right behind him.

The two of you crash down, with you landing but a moment after he did, exhausted and in pain. The fight was brief, but you made heavy utilization of energy attacks, struck with all of your might when you resorted to physical combat, and fought through a blow that very nearly knocked the fight out of you on its own. It's a struggle to even push yourself out of the dirt.

Renso, on the other hand, seems to have a much easier time of it, pulling himself back up and rising to his feet. He's clearly hurt, and his breathing is heavy, but he's in much better shape to keep going than you are. Still, you aren't just going to lie down in the dirt. You can-

Renso kneels beside you, offering a hand to help you up.

"Nice job," he praises. "I'd say you've more than passed this test."

Okay, battle is over.
>>
>>3257399
Despite a very strong urge to continue the fight, you know that there isn't much you can do at this point. All you'd really end up doing is exhausting yourself further without really accomplishing anything. At least this way, you finish on a high note. Content with how you performed, you reach out and take Renso's hand, allowing him to help you to your feet.

As the veteran fighter helps you toward the shade of one of the nearby rock structures, you take a moment to reflect over the battle. You weren't sure what to expect going into that fuck, but that single strike from Renso made the difference in your strengths very painfully clear. In terms of raw power, he is far superior to you. But, you were able to use your cunning to even the playing field, and while that ended up not being enough, you gave one hell of a fight. You're a bit surprised that your tricks worked quite as well as they did on someone with Renso's experience, but that can be explained away by the fact that he probably underestimated the resourcefulness of new recruits, and there is surely a lesson in that.

Still, you know that, in the future, if you face Renso again, you won't outfox him so easily. He'll be taking you far more seriously, and that may mean things will turn out very different. Part of you actually feels excited by that.

"We should definitely have a rematch later," you tell him as he sits you down in the shade.

That brings a smile to the older Saiyan's face. "Alright, sounds like fun. Now, rest for a bit, the others are going to have their matches now."

Renso begins to move toward the others, who return to the ground following your fight's conclusion.

"That took guts!" the big guy calls to you, grinning. "And you were quite the tricky fighter! I look forward to working together!"

"That was pretty gutsy," tube-top girl admits, even grinning a bit. "Looks like not every new recruit besides me is a total wimp."

At that last word, the grin vanishes from her face, and she turns on Renso. "But what about you, Mr. Sadala Defense Force Captain?! What in the world was that? I thought you knew how to fight!"

Renso chuckles nervously, holding up his hands defensively. "Take it easy, Caulifla, he surprised me. Most new recruits don't put that much thought into their sparring matches, especially the ones who challenge me."

"Tch," Caulifla looks away from Renso. "Whatever. I was going to fight you myself, but it looks like you've gotten beaten up enough for today. So who wants to fight me, then?"

"I will," a Saiyan you hadn't seen yet declares.

A male Saiyan, looking to be about seventeen or so, steps toward the spiky-haired Saiyan girl. He's muscular, though not quite as much as the scar-faced Saiyan. His hair is smooth and slicked back, and he wears the kind of cocky grin on his face to match Caulifla's attitude.

"I don't usually like to make little girls cry, but I think someone needs to give you an attitude adjustment," he declares, cracking his knuckles.

That definitely seems to set off Caulifla, who instantly looks ready to beat him to death. She bears her teeth, clenching her hands into fists and taking an aggressive posture. If she had a bad attitude and was itching for a fight before, it just doubled.

"What?!" she snaps at the confident newcomer. "You're going to be crying like a baby when I'm through with you! Don't ever underestimate me!"

Most of the others begin backing up, making room for the next fight to happen. You'd probably be doing the same out of instinct if you weren't laid out under the rock formation. This somehow seems like it's going to be a lot less friendly than your match with Renso was, and if your match got rough, you're almost afraid to see how this turns out.

Renso doesn't look happy with this development, but doesn't stop it. Instead, he sighs, lowering his head and closing his eyes.

"Alright then," he says. "Caulifla and Zadish will be our next match."

Renso, the big guy, and the older woman take to the air, leaving the combatants room to do what they like. But the Saiyan in blue about your age makes his way over to the shade you're in, taking a seat beside you.

"That was a great fight," he compliments, though he does look a bit concerned. "Are you alright?"

"Are you kidding?" you ask the blue-clad Saiyan. "I feel amazing! That fight was a blast!"

The other Saiyan gives you an odd look, but then closes his eyes and smiles. "You did seem like you were enjoying yourself. I didn't think you'd do that well against Captain Renso."

Neither did Captain Renso, which is why you were able to do so well. You aren't sure if this guy understands that or not, but you appreciate his compliment just the same. At least, you think that was a compliment. His tone of voice sure made it sound like one. When he opens his eyes, you see no mocking or malice in them, he seems genuine.

His eyes turn toward the battlefield, and you look as well to see Caulifla and Zadish trading blows. Caulifla has her arms crossed in front of her body, fending off a strong punch from Zadish. As he pulls back and throws another, she ducks down beneath it, unleashing a flurry of blows into his unprotected midsection, striking him again and again with lightning-fast punches.

"I'm Cabba," the Saiyan sitting beside you speaks up, though he's still watching the fight. "What should I call you?"

"Alright, Spicha," Cabba repeats. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

Caulifla delivers several more blows to Zadish's midsection before the male Saiyan is able to bring himself to fight back. He throws a knee-strike that Caulifla manages to block, but it still knocks her onto her rear. Zadish raises a foot to kick the girl, but she grabs his ankle and pushes him onto his back, quickly springing up and rising into the air. She holds a hand down toward the other Saiyan and fires an energy blast. Zadish yelps and rolls out of the way, the force of the nearby impact causing him to roll even further.

You're pretty sure you can tell how this fight is going to turn out.

Well the idea for one doesn't involve Saiyans, if that's any consolation. Or most of any canon plots or character except a few.

Caulifla drops from the sky, and Zadish is once more sent into a hasty retreat, rolling back and springing off of the ground, which fractures and shatters under the kick with which Caulifla had intended to hit him.

"Alright, let's see how you handle this!" Zadish shouts as he gains altitude.

With a swing of his arm, he sends a blast of energy toward Caulifla, who only has time to scowl before it reaches her, obscuring the Saiyan girl from view as it detonates and kicks up more dirt.

Zadish stops his ascent, hanging over the battlefield and watching the smokescreen he's created, waiting for it to clear so that he can see the state of his opponent. If nothing else, he seems smart enough not to assume his victory, though getting pummeled by his opponent at the beginning of this match probably reigned in his pride just a bit.

"They're pretty good," Cabba remarks from your side. "I guess I should have expected Renso's sister to be strong, but Zadish is no slouch either."

Welcome back DonSom!
>>
>>3268167
"Zadish isn't bad," you agree. "But, I'm pretty sure that Caulifla has this."

"Maybe..." Cabba responds, his voice uncertain and telling you that he doesn't feel confident to declare the advantage in favor of any particular warrior.

The dust slowly blows away, and you see that Caulifla is right where you last saw her, foot jammed in the ground from her missed kick, some minor scorch-marks on her skin, and a scowl still on her face as she stares up at her opponent, whose old confidence seems to be somewhat returning as he regards her with a smirk.

"Still standing?" he posits rhetorically, laughter in his voice. "Good, I was just starting to have fun!"

"Yeah, I'm sure those five seconds without my fist in your gut were great!" Caulifla calls up to him, slowly rising from the ground. "But if a wussy attack like that is the best you can do, then your fun's over!"

While she didn't have time to dodge, it seems Caulifla braced herself enough to withstand the attack with relative ease. She felt that, sure, and it probably wasn't pleasant, but it doesn't look like it's slowed her down in the slightest. By all appearances, she's still raring to go.

The two warriors regard each other for another second, then, letting out a battle cry, Caulifla fires a ball of energy toward her opponent, who swiftly dodges out of the way, answering with an energy wave that Caulifla quickly ascends to avoid. Zadish pursues, and the two of them climb toward the clouds, Zadish firing off a volley of energy-based projectiles at his fleeing foe. Caulifla skillfully dodges each one, though that clearly becomes more and more difficult as Zadish increases the rate of fire.

A moment later, she stops trying to dodge, instead stopping just short of the clouds and turning toward her pursuer. She crosses her arms in front of her body and braces herself as a volley of blasts close in on her.

Zadish halts his ascent, lowering his arm and looking up toward Caulifla. While you can't see the expression on his face, you imagine it's some variety of pleased and/or cocky smile following a series of direct hits.

"Why did she stop?" Cabba asks as he looks up at the two fighters. "If she'd kept going just a little longer, she could have hidden in the clouds."

>A. You have no idea what she's up to

"Maybe she thought of something at the last second?" you suggest, unsure of her actions yourself. "Or maybe she just decided that she didn't need to bother dodging or hiding."

"Is she that overconfident?" Cabba asks, not seeming to agree with your analysis. Or, maybe the idea just bugs him. You probably would have felt insulted if Renso had decided there was no need to put any effort into fighting you.

Caulifla uncrosses her arms, looking none the worse for wear aside from a few new scorch-marks on her arms. She looks down at Zadish and places a hand on her hip, closing her eyes and shaking her head as her lips curl up into a smile.

"I gave you too much credit," she tells Zadish. "Now I see how weak you really are, and I'm not going to waste more time playing games with you."

Zadish's body tenses up, and you can practically feel the anger like a tremendous heat radiating from him as he looks up at Caulifla with what you assume is incredulity.

"You're bluffing!" he shouts up to her. "If I were so weak, you wouldn't have bothered dodging any of my attacks in the first place, and I wouldn't have made it through those first punches! So you can stop your gloating, because I'm not buying it!"

Caulifla opens her eyes, keeping her hand on her hip and lifting the other near her face, turning the palm upward and looking at it more than her opponent.

"Just watch, wimp, I'm going to beat you with one attack."

Zadish cries out in anger, rocketing upward toward his opponent. Caulifla doesn't look at him, or even change her posture for several moments, and you begin to believe she's not bluffing. But, if she's being serious with her boasts, just how strong is she? You've been able to sense Zadish's power well since he began his counterattack against her, and the amount of strength you feel is impressive, greater than your own. Sure, what you've been sensing from Caulifla as she zips around and fires off energy blasts is enough to match it, but if she's really able to completely outclass it like she's suggesting, that would mean that she's a lot stronger than you, maybe even stronger than Renso.

Zadish races toward her, apparently intending to get up close and pummel her with his own two hands. His energy seems to be increasing, so it looks like he's decided to put his all into this next series of attacks.

"TAKE THIS!" he howls, getting within striking distance and throwing what you're sure is an extremely powerful punch.

Just before the blow can connect, Caulifla seems to simply vanish into thin air, disappearing from view only to appear a moment later at Zadish's altitude, a short distance in front of him.

The smile disappears from her face, and she yells at the top of her lungs as she brings her hand forward, her palm stretched toward the male Saiyan.

"Crush Cannon!"

A small number of red, pulsating lights shoot from her outstretched hand, racing forward and striking the surprised Saiyan at whom they were aimed. You hear Zadish cry out in pain, though you can't see the damage right away, as the detonating blasts create a smokescreen that obscures the Saiyan from view. That doesn't really matter, though, because an instant later Zadish falls from the sky, falling fast and landing on his back in what looks like a pretty painful crash. He doesn't make a sound on impact, though, making you wonder if he's been knocked unconscious, or...

Renso, Cabba, the big Saiyan, and the Saiyan woman race over to the fallen fighter.

It's looking a little crowded over there, and you don't think you'd do much more than get in the way if you joined them. You opt to remain where you are, sitting in the shadows and watching. From what you're able to hear from this distance, it seems Zadish is alive, just knocked out. Caulifla's attack did a real number on him, but he'll live.

The girl in question descends from the sky, crossing her arms under her chest as she looks toward the group gawking over Zadish. She doesn't seem particularly interested, though, as after a moment she looks away from them and walks a little closer to your spot, though she remains standing in the sunlight a small distance away, not really regarding you, either. She seems to periodically look back at the group around Zadish, and you can see her eyes following Renso as he picks up the unconscious Saiyan and brings him over to join you in the shade.

"So I passed the stupid test, right?" Caulifla asks her brother once he gets close.

Renso sighs heavily, obviously not happy with how that match turned out (having a potential recruit unconscious is probably not something a recruiter would be potentially pleased about), not answering her until he's set Zadish down next to you.

"Yes, Caulifla," he answers. "You passed, but I'd say you overdid it a little."

The girl frowns. "Hey, he talked a big game. Not my fault he couldn't back it up."

>A. Renso has a point, she didn't need to beat him that badly.

>B. Caulifla's right, if you're going to have that kind of arrogance you'd better be strong enough to warrant it.

>C. Keep out of this argument

>D. Get up and see how well you can move around

>E. Go talk to the big guy

>F. Go talk to Cabba

>G. Go talk to the older Saiyan girl

Question, does the older Saiyan girl wear glasses?
>>
>>3268434
"Older" is relative. She looks about twenty. And no, she's not wearing glasses.

Damn.

>A. Renso has a point, she didn't need to beat him that badly

Strength is knowing how much force to exert to dominate, not merely to flaunt in it's excess.

>H. There's another Saiyan you didn't see earlier, go talk to her
Could you have this one wear glasses?

Okay, so we agree with Caulifla, but which Saiyan do you want to talk to?

>A. Big guy who seems pretty cool

>B. Older girl who hasn't said anything so far

>C. New girl you didn't see with the others

>D. Don't go talk to anyone else
