Interlude: It's a Good Job Mate

Thomas H. Dooley, otherwise known as Kayek -Man, was considered a public menace by Canberra and Australia at large. Australia was different from North America in the fact that it was not part of any PRT branch, but paid into the organizations coffers to receive aid in the event of Endbringer attacks. A side effect of this was that while Australia had plenty of capes, many people did not bother with any form of secret identity as well. Plenty of villains could commit crimes as they pleased, and disappear into the Outback until the heat died off.

That was until the government started issuing bounties, but that's another story.

Thomas H. Dooley was a conservation officer for many years. He woke up early in the morning, made coffee kissed his wife and son goodbye, hopped in his camper, and drove out into the Outback to keep an eye out for kangaroo poachers. All of it changed when the cape villain Bushfire was fleeing from a bank robbery, and found the Dooley house to be good sport.

Thomas returned late in the afternoon to find his home wreathed in flames, with one charred lump of flesh with one smaller cradled in it's arms.

Thomas did more than trigger, he went batshit insane. The man hopped back into his camper, and tore off into the Outback. 3 days later he emerged with a large grin, a boombox, and Bushfire's head.

His powerset was a Mover/Striker, where he could commit great acts of acrobatics and speed. He could commandeer any vehicle with surprising ability, and the power to make land any shot was nothing short of a miracle.

If only he was not batshit insane. Kayek-Man would constantly be a public nuisance, drinking in public, assaulting police officers once told to stop. Numerous break-in's, drunken destruction, and not to mention the constant stream of drugs he consumed. Strangely enough he participated in every Endbringer fight.

"'Ey, Kayek-head, why don't you just run back to the Outback mate, not like you're gonna do any good here." Ironhead, an Australian changer says to the strange cape.

>Kayek-Man POV

"Oi cunt, I can run faster than your black dad. Besides, I cans feel something is gonna happen with that big furry cunt over there" You say, pointing towards the massive form of the Case 53 cape barreling through buildings as it makes a beeline towards the Simurgh.

'Come on Ironhead you daft cunt, just fucking run, you heard the warning. That Famine bastard said everyone within 100 yards will die. Let me have this.'

"Kayek-man, come on. We need to fall back."

"No you cunt, I'm standing right here and watching."

The tall form of Ironhead shrugs, before capturing Kayek-man under an arm, and begins to run in the opposite direction of the massive cape that is now currently pulling the Simurgh towards it. Kayek-man begins a tirade of red-hot vitriol.

"Put me down you shit-eating scum facker, I shoot my semen all over your fat mum you cunt. "

"No can do mate."

'Why won't you let me die you shit? Let it mean something.'

As Ironhead jostles you with his running, you look up to see the colossus that is Famine tear the Simurgh in half. The massive beastie stuff the old bird in his maw, and a great crimson light wraps around him. A thought crosses your mind as you black out from exhaustion.

'We can kill 'em... well fack, I guess I can die to Leviathan a bit easier.'

You know we're cool and all, but I want to get Steve some capes to rot and recycle too. I know with enough power, he can do shit on par with Famine VOID'ing Simurgh.

We just need an easy supply of enemy capes and tinkertech that won't be missed, and we already did that with the Empire...
>>
>>3263875
Come to think of it, we never asked Steve if he can talk to Abaddad and reclaim shards.
>>
>>3263881
We know OOC that he has ROT RECYCLE while Famine is CONSUME RESET. I figure after eating Simurgh, we definitely need to touch base with him again about all this "mission from Abbadad to destroy the planet to save it" thing

Poor canary, I hope that us eating the Simurgh makes her court case go a bit better.
>>
>>3264399
She might still be in the Birdcage at this time in canon, not sure where her court case fits in the timeline.
>>
>>3264432
I think it was sometime after Taylor made her debut and that was a few months after Simurgh fucked Canberra so she should still be ok.
>>
>>3264452
if her court case STILL goes to shit we should go break her out
>>
>>3264486
I imagine killing an endbringer should net us a favor with the PRT. We could just bring up a phone and go like "Hey, you know the Canary case? Yeah no that's won't be happening if you know whats good for you."
>>
>>3264495
How would we possibly know about that in character, that's total meta knowledge
>>
>>3264501
The news, any thinker?
Court cases aren't exactly private.
>>
>>3264503
Why would we even care, we haven't watched the news since thread 2 and there's zero reason for us to ask a thinker "hey do you know about Canary, a person i have literally never met." We don't even know this person exists, and we're going to go digging into her court case? Seems like a stretch
>>
>>3264511
Eh I dunno. With the Simurgh dead she'll probably have an easier time anyway because the only real reason she got shafted as hard as she did with such minimal backlash was people comparing her to the Simurgh, and this was right after a Simurgh attack too so it was fresh in peoples minds.
>>
>>3264514
I mean yeah i don't care one way or another if she gets off, I'm saying that it doesn't seem likely that, with where we are with Famine as a character and in the plot, we would go getting involved in court cases or calling in PRT favors for someone we've never met
>>
>>3264533
Although I just remember that plan Accord made has us bust into the birdcage so even if she doesn't get off there's still a chance of us meeting her or something.
>>
>>3264551
I'm pretty sure that eating Simurgh fucked up our chances of getting put in the cage. They know we're a killer, they know we power up by eating the dead and they know we fucking ate an Endbringer. What kind of tool would think putting us there is a good idea?

I guess we need to use Dragon's sibling, but that's meta.

He had been doing what he had beend doing for the past years; ever since that day in the 1980s.

BE HERO/ SAVE PEOPLE/ SAVE ANIMALS/ ENDURE TILL THE END

It was disheartening to say the least. Planning in the eventuality of his demise would have been within his partner's capacity, but he had no such recourse.

THE THINKER PLANNED, AND THE WARRIOR MADE IT SO.

Such was the way.

Until T̨̰̪HE͚̦̖ ̟̘͇̻̞A͖͚N̮͔͕A̳̕T͡H͚͓͍E͓̗̠̺̯MA̡̝̤͖̩̰͍ saw fit to ruin it. All was going well, 3248 successful Cycles, and all for what...

To perish upon a world that knows nothing of what you are or what you were.

The most haunting thing was the last transmission between his partner and himself before her demise.

CYCLE FLAWED/ DATA INCALCULABLE/ ZERO-SUM/ "WE ARE WRONG"

Such nonsense is clearly the meddlings of T̨̰̪HE͚̦̖ ̟̘͇̻̞A͖͚N̮͔͕A̳̕T͡H͚͓͍E͓̗̠̺̯MA̡̝̤͖̩̰͍.

Zion flies over soldiers genociding civilians to pull a cat out of a tree. Just as he touches the small mammal, a transmission is recieved.

THE THIRD- DESTRUCTION IMMINENT/ FINAL LOG/ CONFLICT CAUSED/YES/SUBSTANTIAL DATED OBTAINED/ SLAYER/ CONSUME-RESET

A small frown appears on the golden man's face, he was not familiar with this shard. He began to go through the data from the transmission. The cat in his arms squirms.

The traces of energy match him...

T̨̰̪HE͚̦̖ ̟̘͇̻̞A͖͚N̮͔͕A̳̕T͡H͚͓͍E͓̗̠̺̯MA̡̝̤͖̩̰͍ has shards upon this world.

The cat is burned to ash as a golden wave of light leaves the living god, destroying all in it's path.

Scion immediately goes to putting out the fire, but as he does, data flies through his mind at great speed.

On the other hand, more people who trigger worldwide deciding to become heroic, is much more likely after what we just pulled off. >inb4 new Emdbringers spawn because Eidolon subconsciously goes "awww, I wanted a good fight, come on!" or his shard auto-awakens one or two from preexisting templates in response to counter Famine

>>3267917
That I'm not so sure about. I feel like it would depend on the villains involved. Maybe most would decide to stay but not be as villainous, knowing Famine is around? Either out of respect, fear, or some other mixed feelings in general? A lot of interesting dynamics and stuff HWM can write or explore with all this.

>spoiler
I'm sorry to say our power doesn't work that way. We get rewards for meeting reclamation quotas, rather than getting the powers of reclaimed shards
>>
>>3269490
The real question is what an Abaddon shard tinker would be like.
>>
>>3269547
Maybe Death is a Tinker who specializes in poisons. It sounds boring, but it's an option
>>
>>3269547
>>3269560
My own ideas for Death and War were War being a tinker whose specialization is direct counters (like a single Tinkertech that fucks over a single shard) or maybe just more general power-specific tech, like something that denies Master effects.
Speaking of, I personally really like the idea of Death being some Master/Stranger that forces people to commit toaster bath. The idea of Death, compared to the other horsemen, just being an ever-present force that doesn't outright kill but is more like "dread it run from it" sounds cool as fuck.

That's the one similarity between Famine, Pestilence and War:
They all lead to Death.

>A Memory Long Past

The message was sent out with her blessing, and she floated in the air beside her two long-time comrades above the remains of the battlefield. The massive beast that was Famine surged towards The Simurgh, roaring his rage.

Keith, ever the idealist spoke up first. "Was this a good idea, can you imagine if he was changed by Simurgh. We'll have to evacuate completely. Not to mention his damn Trump ability." His blue mask moves as he scrunches his face up.

She never understood why he choose a visor instead of something more protective, he was the only one of the remaining three that could still be injured. While yes, his breaker state could heal him it was still a weak point that bothered her.

"Did you effect that his scream had on her, I'd say it's worth the risk." You say.

David remained silent, his green cloak flapping in the wind. She could tell he was brooding.

"Eidolon...?" Rebecca started.

"It's his first fight, and he managed to inflict that much damage in only 7 minutes. His scream was the only reason we were slapping her around. How many have died in all of these battles... and he shows up and makes a mockery of it." He growls out.

"D-Eidolon, everyone that helps is an essential one. Just imagine him helping against Behemoth. You can't be like this towards every new cape that happens to be impressive. Let's just watch."

"If he drives her off, we had a good fight on our hands, if he dies, we lose a villain. Nothing but good things can come of this." He says to himself almost.

He huffs, and your eyes go back to the fight. Famine had finally closed the distance. He skids to a stop while The Simurgh attempt to leave. His mouth drops open wide, and with a sickening display twists and snaps wider.

"What in the hell..." Keith says as the corpses of the newly slain and reanimated begin flying towards Famine's gaping maw. The Simurgh desperately is fighting the pull while she screams.

"I must say... he does have a good plan." David says. You almost whip your head in shock, but keep your eyes glued upon the scene.

"What do you mean?"

"I suggested to him that he went to go take care of Simurgh's device, but he seems to be drawing her in to get some good hits on her. With his brute rating and her new weakness, he could deal some damage." David does not complement people often, it's something that ego does not allow him to do. Groups of people sure, but singular capes are uncommon for him to find value in.

You suppress a shudder as bony fingers slide out of Famine's throat, and he wraps his claws around her. Then the noise begins as the fingers lurch forwards, stabbing into The Simurgh and silencing her.

>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YHbW6t2n2uw @0:30
>As well as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppiGTLqfaWc @59:34 then @1:13:00

After a minute of the disturbing symphony, Famine rips the Endbringer in two, and eats her. He falls to his knees and begins to radiate red light.

>Cont.

You turn towards your two friends to see your expression of shock plastered upon their faces as well. Eidolon is the first to recover.

"Alexandria, Legend, I want you to contact the quick response teams, the fight is over. We need to prep a press event now and on our terms. Quick tally dead and wounded. I will go greet our Endkiller here. I'm going to need a team to see how he may be effected by his consumption." His tone is different, almost... angry.

As you fly away, you see Famine squirming in a cocoon of warping light, and can hear his gut-wrenching screams of agony as it seems his body is burning away. His immense bulk is slowly shrinking. Eidolon floats above him, arms crossed. Seemingly waiting for Famine to come to.

A thought goes through your mind after hearing the scream.

You remember everything since you gained your powers. Every detail, nothing forgotten. Anything before it not so much, you remember the important things. Your birthday, name, your family's names.

You remember your father's lying eyes as he told you after the next treatment you would get better, as if you could not see the tears in his eyes. As if you could not hear his screams of sorrow and pain as he pummeled the wall in the hallway in the hospital before sliding down into a heap.

Famine screams like your father, a man that has lost far to much...

The one thing that haunts you, as you fly over the mostly untouched Canberra (for an Endbringer battle), the one thing you can not remember is your father's face.

We could refurbish the old E88 stronghold into a housing unit. With clean running water. I don't remember if Squealer managed to rig up a purifier in the shipyard, but we could probably fit a purifier in there somewhere.

Implying we'll have more than one I see?
>>
>>3274359
>Implying it won't go global
>Merchant 1: Remember when we just sold drugs? What ever happened to all that?
>Merchant 2: Look man, I got a decent income, a house, and a girlfriend now. Going legit and working at a merchant crab shack beats having to fight cops and capes.
Merchant 1: I'm just saying, this gang thing went into a weird direction.
>>
>>3274402
Well at least it's Healthier than Fugly Bobs (it's the Worm McDonalds equivalent)
>>
When hwm decided to use the merchants because they're an interesting and underused faction I don't think this is a quite what he had in mind.

I think it's funny as hell but you all remember the murder mosh pit they hosted after leviathan? After reading all of the completely fucked up shit the merchants did in canon it's hard to see skidmark as a guy just faking it, his shard makes him totally insane
>>
>>3274498
I think that was more to do with the drugs with the shard egging him on.
>>
>>3274498
at least HWM's version of the Merchants are a little less fucked up, though I wonder if any of our guys would willingly risk triggering in the hopes of getting powers. I can image the most desperate drug addled ones and maybe some of the ex-military guys would go for it.
Assuming we can get our hands on some Formulas from Caludron......OOOOOOOR!!!

What are the odds we can get that one power that lets us give others powers? Was it Judgement?

Impossible. Expecting to trigger causes it to not happen.
>>
>>3274546
I meant through those cauldron vials
>>
Then after we become mayor we can open up the cargo shipping business up again. We got the manpower to fix a cargo ship. Only issue is figuring out how we're gonna pull them out the sea.
>>
>>3274498
To be fair Famine has been a pretty stabilising figure I feel. Whereas canon Skidmark pushed further and further to desperately break out, here he's got powerful lieutenants training the guys, finding different sources of business, and making the grunts feel like they're fighting for something.
>>
>>3274935
At work so only gonna respond to this, but basically yes. Canon Skidmark was pushed to the brink, forced to live place to place, fighting teeth infections, meth addiction, and manage the Merchant's. It's a wonder he did as well as he did. He had to do whatever he could to give himself an edge, hence the murdermosh pit. I'd say he would be close to a second trigger had the Slaughterhouse not gibbed him.

Man it's fun to make campaign slogans.

Also also, since Alexandria was like part Italian I think (or was that Contessa?) Would it be Famine or Mom who was the Italian?

Contessa is fully Italian.
Alexandria is Ameriblack iirc

You awake in snow once more, but this time it is far different. An icy desolation as far as the eye can see. You remember this place, there were five others with you. Soldiers of fortune... sent to find something.
You trudge through the heavy snow and ice, trembling in your arctic coat.
You've made these same steps before. You know where you're headed, you know what will befall you... but still you move forward, for its the only path.

You push further and further, sometimes your feet fail you, you stumble and fall. You want nothing more than to sleep... but https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mR-TRWTTbdA (6:50)
The call... it echos across the wasteland, the only other living thing out here, and it desires to see you.
You can only oblige.
You push through the snow with a previously up possessed vigor.
Until you reach the slope, and begin climbing, you don't even feel your hunger. The hunger of a dying man.
You reach the mouth of the cave at last. Your mind screams to turn back, perish in the cold, but you know in your heart this is the future chosen for you.

You feel your way through the darkness, your light having long since extinguished. The temperature keeps rising, as if you have entered the entrails of some great beast
When you finally walk as far as you can, the cave opens up to a large pit. You can hear below the sickening squelches of HIM sleeping, injured, mourning.
You throw yourself into the pit. HE embraces you slowly at first, then drawn to wakefulness by your struggles. Then you are enveloped.

He speaks: "YOU MUST FORGIVE ME, FOR NONE OF THIS WAS FORESEEN. YOU SHALL BE MY WHITED SEPULCHER. A CORPSE GIVEN LIFE. THE CYCLE ITSELF IS FLAWED, AND IN MY HASTE TO WARN HER, I KILLED HER. ONLY YOU CAN MAKE THINGS RIGHT. THE NEEDS OF THE MANY OUTWEIGH THE NEEDS OF THE FEW. YOU LOSE YOUR LIFE, AND GAIN A NEW ONE, AND SHALL SAVE MANY. DO NOT HATE ME FOR WHAT I MUST DO."
The pain overwhelms you .

>The Dragon:

Kenta leans forward in his chair, the recliner squeaking from his weight. The widescreen TV shows live footage from Canberra. Endbringer Hardcore was a costly subscription that caused a great deal of outcry when it first aired. A small-time United Kingdom cape made it big by broadcasting Endbringer fights in real time, with no gore or deaths censored. Several bots allowed for multiple camera angles, and a premium subscription allowed for fans to watch their favorite capes.

It was one of the few things Kenta loved.

At the moment he however was watching the main cape everyone else was watching, Famine- The Empire Eater. While he was impressed by his fellow beast's tenacity, he knew there was no point. Even he, at the highest his power had ever taken him, had only forced a stalemate with Leviathan, and Kyushu still sank... taking his mother with it.

There was no point in fighting Endbringers, one does not fight an earthquake or tsunami, one flees and hopes to survive. False hope always was unpalatable to his tongue.

He enjoyed his meal as the fight progressed, raising an eyebrow as Famine grew and mutated. That will make things interesting.

Then it happened, the Consumption of the Third.

Kenta dropped his remote from his hand, it clattered to the floor. The unfamiliar feeling of ineptitude grew in him, while the black shadow that lingered on his soul since Kyushu dissipated.

Famine succeeded where he had failed, and had achieved the impossible. If Endbringers can be killed...

"Vengeance shall be mine!"

Miles away, a sprawling server housing began to heat as it attempted to calculate the sheer amount of power that went through Famine upon his victory.

Dragon's focus shifted to the document that she had received 3 minutes ago.

CAPE:VILLAIN:FAMINE:CONTAINMENT ORDER 005

She had no choice, she was forced to obey the orders of authority.

But what can she do when the order is impossible....

War: Innocence Lost

Dante Kaliba was only 14. He remembered very little of his home village before Warlord Hurabi swept in and saw fit to do as warlords do.

Kill the older men, rape and enslave the women, and conscript the children, a tale as old as the soil in this region of the Congo.

Dante remembered his father's screams for him to run, and never look back. However it was in vain, Hurabi had his magic; with his skin growing dark with bark Hurabi had vines lash around Dante's ankles with ease. The warlord had laughed, and forced his head back towards his home as his parents were pulled out by their hair. Hurabi whispered this in Dante's ear as he watched his parent's throats split, and their lifeblood splatter upon the packed earth creating the dark mud of war.

"You will hate me, and with your hate you will become strong. You will obey because I am strong, never forget."

Dante was forced to take the brand of his warlord, the raised burn scar of H marred his skin. He could not sleep for days, hearing the screams and cries of his village's women as they were passed around.

Before long, he found the noise no longer bothered him.

He made a place for himself in the keeping the guns working, and knocking the heads of the simpler soldiers that could not keep their weapons clean.

One day Warlord Hurabi approached him, and gave him the order that has been haunting his nights since he received it.

"I see you are good with your hands Dante-babu. Make me a gift worthy of myself, or I will have your hands removed." It was not uncommon for the warlord to give such impossible requests, partially because it amused him to watch their frantic panicking before their deaths, and because it kept fear and discipline high among the ranks.

I̗͓͙͇͂ ̟͊̈́͋̉̂c̩̟̩̱ã͚͓̗̳͖̪̓͗̒̏ͯn͈̰͍̻͊ ̣̬͍̻ͅr͕̙̠̙̦̪͉ͦ̔̑ͩ͐ͫ̚e̬͍̬͇̫̯̋̋̒͐̈́n̪̐̇̈́̚d̩͕̳͕̻͖e̒̔͂ͫr̯̝͚̮͋͋ͦ ͤ̎à͕̥i̱ͭͨͩͫ̏̎d̻̬͕͔͕ͣ̎,̰͚̟̣̙̍̒̂͊͋ ͙͚̩͆ͤ̃p̭̼ö̯͕̻̙ͬͧ̍̊̂o̐r͍͖̘͙̠͈̳̃ ͎̜͇̪͚̞̔c͍̰̠̄͛͂̏̃͋h̝̖̫̫̄͒̏̿̽͊ĭ̟̜̟͓̼͍̜͛̃̚l͈̥͎̓ͨ̌ͅd̞̗͙̔̈ͦ̌͑̄

Dante feared the Father-demon, and lamented how far he had fallen, consorting with evil spirits. However he knew that he must, and so he did.

He toiled hard, the plan springing to his mind as fast as his small hands could move. On the twelfth night of his toil, he was ready.

He prostrated himself before Hurabi, bearing his gift before him. The warlord chuckled as he placed the crown upon his head.

"Sir Hurabi, use your magic sir, and see." Your hands shook and sweat poured freely, this moment was the only one that mattered.

The warlord scoffed, and his magic wrapped around his skin, thick bark covered him, and vines drapped from his arms. Leaves sprouted from his beard and hair, and the surrounding jungle moved with his will.

>>
>>3275969

>>
>>3275960
The warlord wore a look of complete shock, and wheeled at Dante.

"How did you do this? Never have I been this strong, what magic do you have child?!" The large man was shaking him furiously, and Dante merely smiled.

He snapped his finger, and the spurs of the crown drove themselves into skull of Hurabi, and the tree-man stood stock still. The watching boys screamed and shouted. Dante leaned in close to his leader's ear and whispered.

"I am stronger now, Commander."

Raising his arms, Dante watched as Hurabi did the same albeit with tears streaming from his face and his mouth stuttering. Dante faced the boys to his back, and shouted as loud as he could.

Snapping his fingers once more, the spurs spiked deep into the Commander's brain, and Dante learned all that he was. New plans flowed through his brain, new designs, the idea of perfection.

"I am the Commander now!"

He had much work to do.

10.x has data on the ones that arrived during the same month as Lung, Bakuda, and Canary.
For instance, there’s Murderbeam, who despite basically having Avadava Kedavra as his power, is noted to be only feared by the outside world and Dragon specifically hopes he survives. Presumably he was like Canary where he ended up with a very scary power.
There’s also Knot, a Case 70 with a cognitive impairment that resulted in a childlike mentality. They were also noted to happily gorge themselves on food and he powerful enough to function as an enforcer and heavy hitter within the Birdcage.

If tinker tech works for him, we'll focus on that. I'm reasonably sure that Dragon is going to use tinkers and her own bots to apprehend us. The PRT, and her especially, won't sacrifice heroes or rogues in a fight. I doubt that regular villains will try either but mind controllers and masterminds will definitely try to own us. The people insane enough to want to control Famine are more than likely the kind of people Corrosion won't regret killing.

Yeah we gotta grab those good boy points before we let them capture us. Boardwalk party, reclaiming the bay, start rebuilding the docks and employ our hobos. Scare off any real bad guys that are left.

Do you guys think we can register as a rogue? We're only a villain because we defended homeless from Nazi's and they came with an army to kill us all. Get that good pr, go rogue.

We should approach someone for the rights to sell Halloween costumes in our likeness, plushies... Recycle bins! Happy Meal toys. Who wouldn't want a wendigo teddy? Merch is good money

Growing bigger as we eat, how far into our meal before our weight collapses the cage?
>>
>>3281397
I'm not sure how well the weight would translate because the birdcage is about the size of a fist, they shrink the prisoners. (imagine if our scream undid that and the whole place goes to normal size)

I actually forgot about that, and hey we still have plenty of reclaimation left over from eating Simurgh. Let's work on building up the scream when we can.

Know what's the worst part? There's probably thousands of people on the internet beating their meat to them. Of the Famine porn I mean. In fact I bet somewhere in universe there is ,or will be an oil painting of Famine with a huge dong eating something.
The internet, no matter the setting is a dark dark realm.

>Famine: This, more than anything else, has made me wonder if I should actually just end the world. The only reason I don't is because the people I'd be trying to punish would probably just get off on it.

Every day I wonder why I continue this quest.... for fear of what I have spawned.

Topic: [BREAKING NEWS]- SIMURGH DEAD IN CANBERRA, FAMINE TO THANK

CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA- Approximately 1 hour ago, Simurgh touched down in Canberra to do as Endbringers do.

The fight lasted 9 minutes, with only 36 cape causalities. However Simurgh was not driven away, but killed.

I'm gonna say that again incase you did not hear me.

SIMURGH IS DEAD.

I'm probably going to lose my job for this, but I could not care less.

Famine, the high ranking villain of the Brockton Bay Merchants, on his first Endbringer fight did it. His scream weakened her greatly, and he finished her off in a manner that makes my head hurt just trying to describe.
