/qst/ - Quests

I am tired. Mainly in a mental sense.
Everything I have tried thus far has fallen flat; Mainly due to my errors. I will no longer accept errors on my end.
I'm gonna go back to the basics here, and just have a standard quest before I get back into my main stuff. Minimal shit I don't know about, minimal thought, Godzilla.
Now, take this overwhelming amount of monster choices and have fun.
>Godzilla: A classic. Just a regular ol', original, before bullshit Goji. Roar.
>Composite Godzilla:Basically every Godzilla's abilities in one monster, with each of them being toned down a bit so as to not make this thing fucking invincible.
>Godzilla (Choose Era):Pick-your-own Godzilla. This, of course, excludes other Godzillas available on the list; It's just for all the sorta samey godzillas I didn't list.
>Burning Godzilla:Game with a time limit. Everyone gets a game over at the end.
>Shin Mecha Godzilla:Godzilla's awake. Deploy the secret weapon. God Bless America.
>Shin Godzilla:What the fuck's that big metal thing over there
>Shin Kiryu:After further incapacitating you, the various nations of Earth decided to chance it and put your body to use due to another monster issue. Never has man made a bigger mistake.
>Shin Biollante:You are an ancient plant creature that fed on radioactive material on the sea floor. Your existence is pain. You have been hit on the head with a giant metal thing from the surface. It is full of smaller metal things full of radioactive materials. There is radioactive material on the surface. Must feed.
>Shin Godzilla, but he's in the goofy era of Godzilla (Starts in 2nd form):The humans are firing some strange new weapon at you. It won't work. Nothing wo- ..Where are you? Why are you back in this form? Is.. Is that a smaller version of your fourth form? It has your roar.. What??
>Mechagodzilla:G U N S
>Kiryu:You have been awoken by a familiar roar. You see you in front of you, through strangr new eyes. There can only be one you. Time to test the weapons this new body is telling you are ready.
>Earth Mechagodzilla:WEAPONS:ONLINE SHIELDS:ONLINE SERVOS:ONLINE MIND:ONLINE ALL SYSTEMS NOMINAL, DEPLOYING MISSION: KILL GODZILLA
>Earth Godzilla:W h y a r e t h e y b a c k a a a a
>Terra Destoroyah:TAKE. EARTH. BACK.
>Earth Ghidorah:You have finally arrived. You sense a massive energy source. Nothing coudl possibly go wrong.
>Earth Mothra:What is that lizard thing and what are these hairless monkeys? What are YOU? Why are you?
>Earth Spacegodzilla:Your followers have finally called you forth. With one last call for you to enter this reality, you drop onto the planet, smashing a ship on the way. All hail the God of Monsters.
>Earth Biollante:You are a failsafe for Mechagodzilla. It took you a while longer than it should have to grow, but the humans are still here! The.. life seems to have changed a bit, though. And why are they all wearing spacesuits? ..Oh well. You have a mission, you're gonna complete it.
>cont.

>(Shin) Destoroyah:You have transcended time and dimensions. You still live. You have been quietly, cautiously feeding for a while now. You can form yourself again. ..You hear his roar! He survived too! You reform yourself, your titanic form coming back into exista- wHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING
>Mechagodzilla 2014:After much debate, humanity decided it was done with Godzilla's shit. So done, in fact, that you now exist. You have been pointed in a direction and told to 'Kill Godzilla'. Okay.

You are one of the last groups of non-Godzilla based lifeforms remaining on Earth after the Humans left. Your species has survived through thick and thin, even evolving to sustain yourself off of these steel bullshit creatures. However, one day, your hivemind felt as though things were about to change.
Outside of the small area in which you exist, not too far away, the Humans returned. Long story short, they fought what they thought was Godzilla, nearly lost, and came up with a crazy plan that just might work; They'd make a secret weapon. A bomb full of something they called 'Micro-Oxygen', Something that should be able to kill 'Godzilla'. They lured Goji into your part of the sea, and your hivemind was sent into a panic; That is, until the Oxygen Destroyer dropped in with him.
And activated.
The Zilla roared in pain, quickly being reduced to naught but a skeleton; You, however, began to rapidly evolve when exposed to this new material.
You banded together into forms replicating the creatures around you, consuming and replicating anything you could, taking on a red hue. Eventually, some of you began to curiously nibble on Godzilla Filius's bones.
Your DNAs fused together. The power coursing through the parts of yourself that bit the bones is.. overwhelming.
You need more.
Your entire self then quickly swarmed around the skeleton, consuming it entirely within a day.
You no longer hunger.
You feel nothing.
Then confusion.
Then rage.
You are alive. You are.. Destroyer? You are.. Terror?

You are Terra Destoroyah. You live.

You make your first truly conscious decision; You must all band together. All who stand in your way must fall. You must feed, even if you no longer hunger, for to feed is to destroy.
To destroy is to quell your rage.
Your components began forming together, taking a shape inspired partially of the small undersea spider-like creatures that once dwelled here before you ate everything in a ~4 mile radius that wasn't you. You jumped from the water, roaring in triumph, proclaiming to the entire world that you exist. As you land, the plant life below your feet was quickly devoured, making you grow slightly. You charged briefly into the forest, your various smaller parts forming into tendrils extending out from your main body which whipped around the forest, consuming all they came into contact with and flinging more of yourself around the forest to feed and breed separately from you for a while. They all came back to your main body eventually, of course. You grew exponentially even in just this brief moment, retracting your tendrils as you came to a halt, reveling in your magnificence. And also wondering what to do.

You stretched your more permanent limbs, testing how far they could go, then stretching those limits far beyond reason because you could. After finishing with that, you swung your head towards one of the few still standing trees, calling upon your Godzilla DNA. A beam of pure, purple for some reason micro-oxygen shot out of your mouth, obliterating it. Damn.
Firing a few more at whatever else has been left standing by your previous rampage, you are filled with a strange sense of euphoria. However, you then realized that you were blowing shit up instead of eating it, and thus not actually helping yourself at all.

Re-extending your tendrils, your began to dash into a more lush part of the forest. Nothing could really stop you as your tendrils slam into trees, breaking at the tips before quickly being replaced, the leftover you on the tree quickly consuming it and assuming a form made to maximize speed to return to you. You continued like this for a while, until you are suddenly forced to stop. You quietly rejoin, sinking your whole body lower.

You remained in your lowered form, narrowing your eyes. You watched in the direction of the movement. It's getting closer..
From out of the brush appeared some form of small creature, with what appears to be a white layer of strange scale armor, and black skin underneath. Strangely, its head is a completely different color, and it has strange strands of yet another different color growing out of the top. It is a.. very colorful creature.
It freezes up when it sees you, eyes wide as it stares up at you in abject horror. You observe.
After a while of this, it shakily begins approaching you, you following it with your head. It gets extremely close to your body, and upon you continuing to just watch it, began to reach out to touch you..

>>3301807
As its appendage approached your mass, you held perfectly still, restraining yourself. For the first time, you are curious. What does this being intend to accomplish by touching you? Is this a challenge? As it makes contact with your mass, some parts of you instinctively run over its appendage, although you still restrain yourself enough to not consume it outright. It is frozen in fear again, and you slowly and semi-awkwardly pull off of it, allowing it to just touch you.
After another long, awkward silence, it makes strange, purposeful noises that you don't understand the purpose of, and finally runs away. Hm.

As it continued off into the distance, you got back up, re-extended your tendrils and went off in a different direction, resuming your consumption. Eventually, your head reached above the treeline, and you began to look around as you continued carving an ever-widening path through the trees. In the distance, you saw more of that strange creature that touched you, and some actually threatening-looking flying things. The creatures appear to be fighting the winged things alongside some larger, white monsters, firing into the air as the winged things swoop down at them.
This is the first interesting thing you have seen, and you are not going to let this opportunity go.

You quickly shot an appendage into the ground, spreading yourself like roots to ensure that what you're about to do does not make you fall over like an idiot. As the winged things continued approaching, poised to attack, when you completely abandoned your current form, spreading yourselves out and throwing yourselves at the winged things, enveloping them. You ensure that they are fully coated in crustaceans before slowly forming your body again, being careful to not let them escape in these brief moments in which they feasibly could. You quickly lost all caution, however, as their brains, joints, etcetera were consumed and they ceased being able to move. As you fully reassumed your form, you roared into the sky in triumph, the voices of a billion tiny crustaceans screaming in unison. Simultaneously, you grew a pair of wings. Huh. Neat.
>Flight get!
Having had finished that, you looked back over to the touch-creatures. Their faces are filled with sheer terror. Strange. Shouldn't they have learnt that you do not wish to harm them from the one that touched you? Suddenly, one of them cried out and began throwing the strange projectiles they used against the winged things at you, a few others joining in. You bend yourselves around them, allowing them to pass harmlessly through your body. Not that you need to, it's just a natural reaction to things coming towards you at high speed. Perhaps this is some obscure method of communication they've evolved? Were they just trying to tell the winged things to go away?
Once they seemingly realized you couldn't understand them, one by one they stopped shooting at you, a few of them beginning to run. Such intriguing little creatures.

Deciding to satiate your curiosity, you began stretching a tendril out towards them, growing numerous eyes upon it so as to scan easier. You stretched and snaked the eye-dotted tendril amongst the humans, more running away as you did. Such strange behavior. You will find out the purpose of this in time.
Eventually, several of your eyes locked upon an unmoving touch-creature, laying on the ground, some form of red liquid spewing out. You quickly whipped your tendril onto it, several of you breaking off and spreading across its body. You attached your tendril to it and began to feed, absorbing its DNA.. and its memories.
You are suddenly bombarded with a bunch of bullshit you can just barely comprehend. These strange emotions filling your collective mind are too much to handle. You do not screech in pain, or collapse, you just.. freeze. Desperately trying to comprehend all of what you've learnt.
These creatures are really fucking complicated. Also, you have just learnt that you are terrifying. This explains a lot.

Please forgive the long delay; I am back now.

You stared at the humans for a moment, their weapons fire still harmlessly passing through you. The knowledge of the person you consumed is still flowing through you, confusing your collective. You sighed, one of the many human mannerisms you had unwillingly picked up, and decided it would probably be best to just try and process this information.
Pondering how exactly to go about this for a moment, you decided it would be best to just make it look like something's wrong with you; maybe then they'd leave you alone. You closed your eyes, slowly allowing more and more projectiles to hit you, still harmlessly bouncing off your thick.. hide? Outer layer? Outer layer. You then released a faux cry of pain to cap it all off, freezing entirely mid-scream as you entered your mind.
You began your path through the corpse's memories, 'recalling' old stories, friends, family, hopes and dreams, regrets and lost loved ones. Fuck. Continuing down memory lane, you found a few yo- he'd been trying to forget. Death and destruction, rage and fire, a deafening roar..
Godzilla.

That's what you are.

You have been, for a good part of your conscious existence, trying to be that fucking monster.

Your soul hurts.
>Human language mastery get!
Eventually, you opened your eyes, having had simultaneously just become sentient and gone through a mid-life crisis. You cautiously scanned the area around you. It appears the humans have formed a defensive perimeter of sorts around you, numerous guns being trained at you, prepared for the eventuality of you moving again. It is also now night time. You appear to have been out for a while. You hear someone talking below you.
"-xygen Destroyer, and they somehow absorbed the DNA of the smaller Godzilla, and turned into.. THAT." It appears they have learnt more about you than you could ever hope to know about yourself. Another speaks.
"I never could've imagined that defeating Godzilla would have such consequences.. How would we go about destroying this thing exactly?" And then, a familiar voice.
"I told you, it doesn't want to hurt us! I touched the thing and it did nothing to me! It only attacked the dragons, not us!"
Someone is inevitably going to notice that you opened your eyes at some point even if you close them again now.

After having had passed out immediately after posting that message, I have returned once more. Have fun, whoever's here.

As the humans started arguing underneath you, You began replicating human vocal cords, preparing yourself for this confrontation. Alright, you've gotta try your best to come off as NOT creepy. You can do this. You tried to wait for the humans to finish arguing, but this clearly wasn't gonna end for a while, and you don't really have much time to waste here.
"That thing is a menace! It fucking at-" You cut him off. Remember, don't be creepy. Don't be creepy. Don't-
Your head turning to face them is accompanied by the sound of millions of tiny crustaceans moving, as that is what all of your movements are. You opened your mandibles, speaking with an indescribable accent due to your vocal cords being made out of numerous tiny crabs and the shape of your mouth. "'Haht 'hin 'ives,"' You began. Realizing your mistake, you quickly recreated a human mouth inside yourself, the sound of more crabs moving inside of you being easily heard over the dead silence that now consumed the area. '"'Thaht thin' breathes. 'Thaht thin' thinks and feels."' The shifting of crabs ceased as you finally finished constructing a proper method of speech. You are still heavily accented, but much more easily understandable. '"We are not 'That thing'. We are not a monster. We are Terra Destroyah."' You took the first thing you thought when you became conscious as your name. It may have been a bad idea, in hindsight. '"We mean no harm."'
Well, you have learnt 2 valuable lessons from this experience.
1:You cannot be not creepy.
2:You are fucking Venom apparently.
The humans looked up at you in astonished terror. Well, they aren't shooting yet, so you'd say that went well. Your booming voice finished echoing through what remains of the forest, and the one who touched you spoke.
"W-..What the hell..?" He said, trembling.
'"Please do not be afraid. We truly mean no harm."' Honestly, you would have a hard time buying that if another one of your species said it to you. You are an all-consuming red mass in the form of a demon spider that has fused with Godzilla. And have also started talking. This was a terrible idea.
"Y-you.. how are you talking..?"
'"We have formed vocal cords replicating those of your species within our body. We simply wanted you to stop fucking shooting us, and this was the best way to ensure you do so."' You prayed that this would work with all your hearts. And what you assumed was GOD responded, speaking a number inside your mind: '41'. ..Wha-
"That.. that thing is intelligent!?" the first one who spoke said, eyes wide. '"At the very least call me De-"' You are cut off. "This is unbelievable! This changes everything! If it truly does mean no harm, the possible uses for it are endless!" '".."'

After what must have been divine intervention (Praise be 41), the humans appear to be roughly okay with you now. You are currently awaiting the arrival of one or more people to ask you numerous questions, mainly pertaining to your existence and what it's like to be you. You don't blame them for being curious, but you don't really know how to answer any of these questions. You are you, and to exist as you is to be you. You cannot easily describe being a hivemind of crustaceans to beings who aren't a hivemind of crustaceans. You idly stretched some tendrils out and began eating trees a while ago. Suddenly, over the horizon, you heard a strange rumbling noise. You looked over to the source of the sound. It looks like it's coming from a mountain.
You slowly retracted your tendrils, narrowing your eyes at the mountain.. which then suddenly fucking exploded, a bright blue glow being seen through the dust. The glow slowly moved upwards, changing angle as it did. Almost as if.. it was attached to a creature. Your eyes widened in realization just as a piercing sound was released from whatever destroyed the mountain, blasting the dust away and making it plain to see. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DI4Ro6s1GY
It's fucking Godzilla. It appears to be missing a bit of scales on its chest, revealing some form of blue energy underneath. You have little time to dwell on this as the dust cloud rushed towards you. You shield your eyes by turning them back into normal crabs, waiting for the sound of the dust flying past you pass. You can hear Godzilla walking. Eventually, you hear the dust settle, and reform your eyes.
It's looking right at you.

Thinking fast, you separated a small amount of crustaceans from yourself and began running, the separated piece burrowing underground formlessly. Godzilla roared again, chasing after you. You are clearly faster, until his footsteps began to speed up. A cursory eye-creation-on-the-back-of-your-head glance reveals that yes, he is in fact speeding up. Something of that size should not be able to go that fast. You panickedly lost your form and burrowed underground, just like your other piece did.
..Speaking of which, it should be right under his foot now. You switched your main focus to that part of yourself, bursting up into his foot and violently tearing a piece off, retreating soon after. Godzilla roared in pain, and you suddenly heard a massive explosion, over half of that collection of crabs ceasing to exist simultaneously. You do NOT want to know what that was. With a piece of Godzilla still intact, you pulled them back to your main body, merging again. Cautiously, you shot an eyestalk out of the ground, pointing it at Godzilla..
He is standing in a massive crater, the blue glow having had seemingly spread a bit farther across his body, glowing more intensely as well. Oh.
You retract the eyestalk quickly, consuming the Godzilla piece as you did. It takes a surprisingly long time, but the recently deceased flesh is much more useful than the bones you consumed when you first came into being.

You began burrowing back towards the forest, surfacing once you reach the treeline again. You split completely, spreading throughout as much of the forest as you could, consuming everything in your path. You go around what few humans you can find, confusing/scaring them greatly. You also pass some without spacesuits, but you don't really have time, nor the brain power to think about that right now. Eventually, you stopped, having had reached your goal. You began reconsolidating yourself, quickly reaching absurd new heights. You replicated Godzilla's forcefield, Godzilla's upright posture, and.. NOT his thermonuclear reactor, what the fuck? You stood at full height, facing Godzilla. As your eyes grew back, you can see him looking at you in confusion. To clear things up a little, you took a step towards him, unleashing your roar in challenge..
>Original Destoroyah roar. Keep things simple.
>Replicate his roar to the best of your abilities. ..I mean, it's fucking cool, what more reason do you need?
>Human scream. Let him feel fear from the sound he has so often ignored and crushed underfoot.

..To which Godzilla responded in kind.

You sprouted two extra limbs on your front before he really had time to react, launching yourself forwards with them. You retract them as you flew towards Godzilla, his eyes widening. You sprout another new, serrated limb and struck his face with it just as you landed, Godzilla crying out in anger. It didn't really do much, but judging by the fact that this has probably never happened to him, this will.
You quickly lost form, slinking around behind Godzilla and reforming before he can turn, grabbing his tail. He cried out in surprise as you began spinning, a few of your crabs splitting off onto him and heading towards one of his eyes. You spun faster and faster, Godzilla eventually being pulled off of the ground, before you finally throw him out of the crater and into a mountain. As he flew towards the mountain, you shifted your main focus to the mass you've attached to him, growing a few eyes. You finally reach his left eye, formed a mouth at your base, biting down and attaching to his scales, simultaneously forming into a spike, the eye widening in surprise and pain as you do. Godzilla closes his eye just as you bring the spike down, blocking most of the damage. You began spinning the spike, attempting to drill through his eyelid when you heard a noise.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umCFLc7a1aQ
You are suddenly zapped by a strange ring of blue energy, that extension of you dying and forcing you to shift your focus back to your main body.. just as Godzilla fired his Atomic Breath at you, catching you completely off guard. It slammed into you, causing a massive explosion as Godzilla finally lands after a whopping 4 seconds.

You roared again, pushing the fireball away from you and revealing that you are completely fucking unharmed by this. Godzilla clumsily stands, the blue glow having had begun to spread over his shoulders. He roars at you in anger.

Destoroyah Quest seems to have gotten a lot of traction, comparatively. Hopefully this carries over to the next quest, which I will hopefully be less absent for.

As Godzilla clumsily got back on his feet, you began charging a replica of his attack, a yellow ring forming around your head and beginning to shrink. The monster began charging one of its own, but before it could finish, you shot a Micro-Oxygen beam into its shoulder, piercing right through its shield. It screamed in pain, its beam dissipating as you fired yours without even letting up on the Micro_oxygen. The combined blast of purple-cored yellow blows its arm clean out of fucking existence, it roaring in pain. It has probably never experienced such injury before.
This feels SO fucking good.
You stopped your beam and roared in triumph, Godzilla glaring at you. The light in its chest suddenly begins glowing brighter before a blue beam is shot out of its chest into yours. You were caught a bit off guard by this, taking the hit as you expected your shield to be able to take it.

However, Instead, you now no longer have a chest. You screech in pain as you refill the hole, preparing to consume some more foliage for extra mass, when you notice that;
1:Godzilla has somehow broken into a dead fucking sprint towards you.
2:Its chest is now glowing red, the glow not steadily expanding across its body.

You quickly jumped out of the way, barely managing to get clear of Godzilla. As it passes, it starts glowing brighter and roars loudly, a massive pulse of blue energy coming out of it, launching you away and creating another crater under it. You roared in distress as you crashed through the forest, stopping yourself by growing a spike and embedding yourself in the ground.
You retract the spike as Godzilla roared in what is hopefully pain, firing off pulses over and over, getting larger each time. It seems distracted, although you probably shouldn't try to get close.

As it continues exploding, the pulse getting closer and closer to you each time, you began charging your 'Atomic Breath' again. The yellow ring formed around your head once more, firing just as Godzilla's atomic pulse nearly reached you, followed shortly afterwards by a Micro-Oxygen beam.
The Twin-Beam slammed into its chest, Godzilla roaring in pain. It drilled straight fucking through it.
As you let up on the beam, Godzilla looks at you with absolute malice, somehow still alive. Suddenly, the hole in its chest began to fill in, its arm slowly growing back. The glow spreads farther. Well.
>More twin be-
Godzilla sprints towards you with blinding speed, grabbing your face with its newly formed arm. It throws you into the forest, firing another atomic pulse immediately afterwards to burn off any you residue on its hand afterwards. You slam into the ground, tumbling and losing form partially. You slowly get back up, regaining your mass and form, when you see a red beam coming out of its mouth and heading towards you.

You quickly attempt to lose form to flee, however, the beam is too fast. Thankfully, though, you had just enough time to deform your shield. The beam slams into you as you roar in pain, drilling right through your chest as yours did his.
You are 100% certain that it is now laughing at you, and have lost a considerable amount of mass.

Panicking, you simply let yourself lose form, seemingly disintegrating. Godzilla roars in triumph, before noticing that your 'ashes' are moving..
You spread quickly, consuming quicker, desperately trying to make up for lost mass.
'92.'
With the unexpected number of god once more filling your mind, you redouble your efforts, Godzilla blasting you with another atomic ray, doing not much of anything overall. He continued attempting to stop you, stomping on you, using atomic pulses, but by this point you've spread yourself too thin for anything to do much. Slowly, you re-consolidate yourself, a massive red mass slowly forming out of the trees. Your rage is palpable.
>Re-assume Perfect Form, but bigger. (1d100)
