General rules:

There is a 10 minute voting period after each post. Non-contradictory votes will be combined as best as possible.
Write-ins for all votes are always welcome and encouraged. They may not all make it into the post or be altered to fit in, but I'll do my best to at least try to address the spirit of the write-in.

Very important or contentious votes may be redone in a stricter voting system as circumstances warrant.

Combat mechanics involve three rolls of 1d100, taking the best, and using the base accuracy and crit ranges of the the PTU system, roughly, but the 'turn order' will be more like the anime, where sometimes you can do a few moves in a row or be hit by a combo of moves yourself, all depending on circumstances. Stronger moves tend to take more time and have more cooldown than weaker moves and also may leave you open to an interrupt, so beware of that timing. Speed is more important for closing ground, intercepting, and other things and doesn't necessarily mean going first.

Pokemon and trainers are unique, and may have certain specializations, skills, or other things that the video-game mechanics might not allow. Some examples: That kung fu Bellsprout in the anime, that crystal Onix, or a Roggenrolla that can fly. Herb's perception skills, pokemon knowledge, context clues in general, and other things will hopefully come into play to avoid completely unfair, unforeseeable bullshit, but expect more bullshit from more advanced trainers.

Call me out on a mistake and receive a suggestive picture, mostly likely a butt.

Pokemon:
Gobble (Munchlax)
Mace (Roggenrola)
Belladonna (Roserade)
Dice (Feraligatr)
Sorbet (Vulpix)
Ghost Pepper (Rotom)

Location: Eelilee Festival grounds

Recently: Herb gave Laki the ol' yogurt cannon without protection! The crew arrives at the festival!

“Come now, young man. Tell me what’s on your mind. Don’t worry, I’ve lived a long life and seen it all.”

You consider the kindly older woman for a moment. You’re not someone who likes burdening others. You usually keep your problems to yourself, focusing instead on solving the problems of others. But this is more of a concern than a problem.

“Well, okay. Here’s the thing. I may have gotten one of my girlfriends pregnant.” You just lay it all out there like a screen of sun-dried tomatoes.

“One of them?” She raises an eyebrow. “And you wish to know how to tell the other?”

“Huh? Oh no. Hana was there too.”

She still looks confused. You take the time to sit down, enjoy your tea, and explain the situation with context added. She seems to be pretty amused by the whole thing, until you get back to your central issue.

“I don’t know what to do.” You reiterate.

She takes a sip, then slowly puts her cup down. “About what? What is your main concern?”

>You don’t know if you can provide enough

You get up, and start pacing. “I don’t know if I can provide enough.” You say. “I’m just...I’m just a kid myself! I’ve never had a real job. Sometimes grandpa would give me spending money for helping around his daycare, but that doesn’t really count. What if I can’t-”

She stops you. “Will you provide your child with love?”

You stop in your tracks. “Yes. Yes, of course.”

“Then you’ll find a way.” She assures you. It sounds like a simple empty platitude, but the confidence and experience behind her voice somehow puts you at ease, just a little bit. “Children are cheap. It’s all the fancy things mothers want to dress them up in or silly concerns about status symbols that are expensive.” She adds on, making you a little more worried again.

“Oh.” You think about Laki’s expectations. She doesn’t really have tastes like that, but then again you don’t know what she’d really want to do on that front. You think back on the stuff your parents would fight about when it came to money, and you did sometimes feel like your mom and dad had very different ideas about how to dress you and your siblings, or what sort of- “Oh no. My parents! What am I going to tell them?”

She calmly refills your tea. “Will they disown you for this?”

“Huh? No. But I don’t think they’d approve. They’ll say I’m too young.”

“Ah. Yes.” She ships. “People your age do mature slower than when I was young. With your video games and endless schooling. Yet you don’t learn anything or do accomplish anything with either of those. It’s life experience that makes you ready for life! When I was your age we-” She stops herself. “I’m sorry dear. Where were we again?”

“What to tell my parents.”

“Yes. Well, you know them better than I do. But if you were my grandson, I’d want you to assure me you’ll come to me if you’re in trouble, or feel overwhelmed. I’d want to be heavily involved. Starting out fatherhood by keeping your worries from them is a bad way to start. You should be setting an example for your child even before it leaves the womb. Be the man you want your son to be.”

>Thank her for the advice and leave
>What if they’re mad?
>It could be a daughter, you don’t know how to raise a daughter

“I’m still worried about my parents. My family is planning on moving away eventually. I don’t want to split from them. And I don’t want them to feel worried. It makes me feel so...guilty. I can’t help but let somebody down.”

“That is a difficult position to be in.” She says. “Would your girlfriend be willing to move with you?”

“We, uh, haven’t really talked about it.” You feel embarrassed at our lack of forethought.

“Would your parents be willing to stay? Or visit often?”

You also don’t know the answer to that. It’s true you might be putting down the fastest and deepest roots here, but what if they’re also finding this to be more of a home than they originally intended? And your brother and sister too? “I...I don’t know. Maybe? I’d want everyone to be involved if they can. I think that’d be best for the child. Like how my pokemon get to learn from people other than me.” You

She motions for you to drink your tea. She waits until you’re sipping it before she begins talking. “Sonny. It sounds like you jumped into this. And that’s life. Passion gets the best of us sometimes. But what I see in front of me looks like a thoughtful young man who has all the right concerns about his children’s future. I don’t have the answers for you, but I can tell you that the mindset you’re bringing in is exactly what a father should have. You concerns are about everyone else. Try to relax a little, try to remember to think of yourself once in awhile, and trust in your ability to match your intentions. I do.”

That helps. A lot. You enjoy your tea for a moment and reflect on her words. You can do this, whatever ‘this’ ends up being. Especially with Hana, Laki, and your pokemon.

“Thanks.” You say it and mean it. “I feel a lot better.”

“Go treat your woman to a fun night.” She says, slapping you on the behind as you exit. You leave the tent with a little bit of a jump. After making sure all your pokemon are with you, you head over to the rest of the group. You have to wait only a few minutes for Laki.

Your sister looks relieved to see you. “Hey squirt. Ready for the hall of mirrors?”

“House of reflections.” Keira corrects. She’s got a big eager look on her face and almost jumps in place. She grabs yours and your sisters hands and leads the way. You sister gives you a very questioning look, wondering if this is alright or normal. She seems to already find the answer to her unasked question from the look on your face and just rolls with Keira’s infectious enthusiasm. “I’ve been looking forward to this all day!

You arrive at the house of reflections, pay the tiny fee to get in, and file in one at a time into the narrow, dark entrance.

“Wow. I can’t see anything.” You hear your sister say, followed by a guilty giggle that makes you suspect Max is up to something.

But she is right. It’s pitch dark in here. How are you supposed to-

“Boo!” A glowing spectral face appears in front of you.

You react automatically before your brain catches up. You...

“EEaah!” You hear a cracked, high-pitched voice. Did that come from you? You look down to Belladonna, who you just now realize you picked up. You seem to have turned around, too, to protect her with your body.

Laughter rings in your ears, and a few lights flash on from all around. It’s still dark, and the lights are aimed at you, but you can get a general idea. Everyone has their flashlights, pokedexs, or other devices out. Ghost Pepper appears close to you and gives off some light as well.

“Nice reflexes there, Soft Hands.” You feel a pat on the back. Laki sounds genuinely impressed. There's another quality in her voice though, too. Like some stress has fallen off of her.

“Nice scream!” Max laughs. Maybe you’re being a bit unfair, but it sounds forced.

“Hey, come on. That’s my little bro...” You sister comes to your defense somewhere in the dark.

Bella, held in your arms, looks up at you. You don’t see the fully evolved, incredible battler of a pokemon. You see the tiny little Bidew that hatched from an egg. She looks completely serene and comfortable. She feels safe in your arms.

“Sorry, Herb. I just had to.” Keira says, coming round in front of you. The scary face is made out of glow-in-the-dark paint she’s applied.

“Don’t worry, Keira. We’ll get you back.” Hana works up the courage to threaten in a friendly manner. “You got me too. Feel my heartbeat.” A moment passes. “Nope. Almost.” She doesn’t sound too upset at Keira missing. “There we are.”

Your group wanders through the dark structure. It seems so much bigger on the inside than the outside. Keira assures everyone the mirrors; and light, is up on the second floor.

“Oops. Sorry Mace.” You say as you almost trip over him. He shrugs it off.

An unseen hand grabs yours. “Shhh.” The voice says. After another second, you feel a squeeze on your rear. It's not Hana's hands.

You squeeze the hand back. Then, feeling a bit daring and bold, decide to go a big further. You spin around, and taking your free hand, you cop a feel of Laki’s behind, under her pants. Your hand on taught, bare skin pulls her in, and you kiss along her neck.

She gasps and whispers. “Soft Hands... You’re so aggressive.~ You know, I still haven’t taken another pill yet...”

“EEP!” Hana yelps.

“OMIGOSH I’m so sorry!” You hear your sister’s voice.

Before you can react, flashlights spin around so everyone can see where everyone is. You see your sister fishing her hand out of Hana’s back pocket. The lights shine on you and Laki, too, and your sister’s shocked look strikes you. The look she gives Laki is almost scary. You’ve only seen that once before, when she heard about those bullies that were giving you a hard time.

But she doesn’t say anything.

“I’m over here, babe.” Max says annoyingly.

The group picks up and moves on.

You finally arrive up at the hall of mirrors on the second floor. Distorted sunlight shines in from wavy glass windows way high up along the walls.

Bella rushes out ahead to look at herself in all the mirrors, going from twig-skinny to wider than a Snorlax.

Huh, on that note, Gobble steps in front of a mirror and observes what he’d look like if he were that wide. He pauses, losing himself in the mirror.

“Wouldn’t it be unsafe to go back?” You ask Laki.

She thinks. “Huh. I guess you’re right. We’ll either have to wait and see how things turn out before we...get carnal again.” She leans in close, pressing her ample breasts into you and letting the warmth of her breath melt your ear “or keep taking our chances without it.”

You give Gobble a moment to look and reflect. He takes a few poses, looking at what he’d look like if he were to evolve. The mirror even makes him look taller.

“What’s on your mind?” You ask quietly, approaching. Woah! You look massive!

He looks back up at you, preferring to look at you face to face rather than through the mirror. He holds out his arms and then lets them fall to his sides.

“You’re thinking about being a Snorlax, aren’t you?”

He nods. Something in his face looks off, though.

“You’re worried about it?”

He nods. Then, a thought occurs to him. He pulls on your leg the same way he does when he wants something to eat. You oblige him by handing him some boku bread. He takes it, sniffs it, and has a small nibble. Then, looking in the mirror, seeing himself as a Snorlax, he throws the entire loaf up and gulps it down.

“You’re worried about eating too much.”

He nods. He looks up at you. There’s just something so intuitive about the look he has. It’s...it’s like seeing yourself, when you were younger, worried about keeping your siblings well fed when your parents had money issues. But are you just projecting? Are his reasons for not wanting to eat so much something else?

He looks around to your other pokemon as they mess around. He also looks at himself in another mirror. This one makes you look muscled and ripped. Is he concerned that staying the way he is means he’s not strong enough?

You feel like you should know his concerns. You don’t want to say the wrong thing.

>Assure him you can afford his appetite if it grows. He should eat!
>Assure him he’ll still keep his palate and be able to cook
>Assure him that if he sleeps as much as other Snorlax’s he won’t miss out on things with the group

He needs to know that we support whatever choice he makes, but at the same time, not making a choice is usually going to lead to results that are worse than making any choice at all. Look, if he really is this indecisive, he should probably stay as a Munchlax: not because of any obligation to us, but because he the evolution process is a one way thing, and he can always evolve later if he wants.

“We’ve had this conversation before, Gobble. You know I’ll back you on whatever you decide, right?”

He does. He knows that. But he’s still so confused.

“I get it. You don’t know what the right path is, and you can’t take both. You don’t know how it’ll turn out. That’s....well, just how it is sometimes in life. You end up in situations where you have to make those choices. You have to commit to a path. Even if you choose one you might regret, sometimes that’s still better than being paralyzed with indecision.”

He looks up at you again, really absorbing your words. He looks blown away at your wisdom. You feel like you don’t really know what you’re talking about and just letting the words spill out of you.

You put a hand on his shoulder. “Every choice is going to have different strengths and weaknesses. Whatever you do, we’ll make it work. It’s important to me you be happy. We’ve got a long time for you to decide what that is for you.”

Gobble looks grateful for your words. He gives you a quick hug, and a look that tells you he’s feeling a lot better. He runs off towards Sorbet and Dice.

Glad that he’s feeling better, you take a look around.

Your sister and Max are posing in front of different mirrors. You hate to admit it, but that makes you feel a little relieved.

Laki is paused in front of a mirror now too. Her belly looks big in that one. She changes her pose a few times, looking very satisfied with the image she’s presented with. Satisfied, and looking equal parts gushy and smug, she moves on with a giddy little run.

Keira steps up after, contemplating how she looks in the mirror. There’s a strange look on her face, as if she’s surprised at her own thoughts. She contemplates the way she appears for just an extra moment, hold her arms around her belly, and then moves on cheerfully.

(continued)

Abigail is near a different mirror. She looks around to make sure nobody is looking, then steps forward to view her reflection. In this one, she bends forward and lowers her shirt, exposing the nearly non-existent cleavage. You lean back a bit to see the mirror and notice it’s showing her with a massive chest.

She freezes, seeing you see her. The smug look on her face vanishes, but she still smiles. It’s a different, scary kind of smile, though. “Goldentop. If you mention this to anybody, I’m going to kick you so hard and so many times in the junk that people will mistake it with a Muk.” She holds her hands behind her back, and hums as she walks away.

You walk along the rows of mirrors. They all have surprisingly good effects. Some make you look taller. Some stronger. Some twist a body to have a feminine shape. Some make you look childlike.

You pause and reflect in front of one.

1: Hana is decidedly not pausing in front of the pregnancy mirror. :(

2: We did learn a recipe from the firekeeper girl before we met Abi that was full of fat. It’s hinted to;
A)- Help Gobble evolve
and
B)- Help girls grow boobs.

Now, the former we don’t need to worry about right now. The latter, we could maybe subtly bring up? Maybe help get a certain someone from point “A” to point “B” if you catch my drift?
>>
>>3335757
Not all girls need big boobs, I think it's better for people to just be happy with the boobs they already got.
>>
>>3335766
1:We just told Gobble we’d support him if he chooses to change his body. This would be, if effective at all, a much smaller change, certainly less so than a cosmetic surgery or something.

2:She doesn’t seem to be satisfied with what she’s got, even if it would be ideal if she were.

3:I dig the smaller look too, which is why I implied a progression to B cup, and not something more comparable to what we see on Moon or Candela art.
>>
>>3335787

If Abi wants big boobs and we're capable of helping her get bigger ones we should offer. I certainly don't think we should determine her cup size. That's just creepy. "Oh Abi Sorry I like you at a B so no I won't help you anymore."
>>
>>3335811
Exactly. I was suggesting “A to B” because that’s the level of efficacy I expected to be possible, and it made for a cute turn of phrase, not because I’d have Herb be so specific.

I just think augmentation is so unnecessary, it's like looking at your dick and being I wished I had other kinds of dick. Most people like most dicks, the same is true with boobs. People get so bent out of shape over things that most people won't care or judge them about.

I'm not going to tell people they can't change themselves if they are willing to invest a bunch of time or money or effort in it, but I am going to tell them it's not needed and that what they already have is fine. Self-esteem is a weird thing. If something helps you get you to your ideal form, cool for you, but I think most people chase this unhealthy desire to be someone other than themselves most of the time.

So, in closing I don't think we should tell people how they should look or really encourage them to change their body unless it's really the only option to make themselves happy.
>>
>>3335842
if all we have to do is make a meal every once in awhile it's not some surgery or even unhealthy.
>>
>>3335849
It's less about the effort and more that I don't think you should do it, if enough anon want to talk to Abi about it then I'll probably abstain, but I think it would just be better to reassure Abi that how she looks is fine, she doesn't need to look like other girls. She's already a cute girl.
>>
>>3335861
Of course she's already cute but it's her choice if she wasn't to do it and we shouldn't deny her the option.
>>
>>3335868
I'm not going to argue hypotheticals. Vote to talk to her about it if you care to, but I probably wouldn't vote for it. Until we do that then further discussion about it seems premature to me.
>>
I’ll vote to bring up the idea with her if she’s complaining about it. It’s not something I see bringing up on our own initiative, whole-cloth.
>>
I think she was just having fun with the mirrors. I mean she is petite and has a very youthful appearance, but she showed that she can go adult mode back when we met Lakis parents.

Also the fatty food struck me as the "drink milk for big jugs" trope and not that it actually worked. If we had an option that might work it would be aura massage, but are you going to suggest we should get to rubbing Abigails oranges? Sounds like a suicide mission to me.

Abbs might actually be flat due to malnutrition rather than genetics, given her family situation, so some more fat in her diet might actually make her fill out.

I don't really see why we're even talking about this, though, she ain't even one of our waifus.

Hey guys, I’ve been considering a possible way to get Gobble to be able to shrink down and fit in places after evolving.

So, I had already considered having him learn and use “Snatch”, which he can normally do, to steal “Minimize”. Problem was, we don’t have any Pokémon that learn minimize.

But Rotom gets access to certain moves dependent on what machine they possess. If we buy a machine that lets Pepper use Minimize, we would have access to that move any time.

I know Pokeballs grow and shrink, but I’m not sure if Pepper can possess one. Any other machines you guys can think of that might let Pepper use minimize?

You pause in this strange, long, twisting room full of seemingly haphazardly placed mirrors. Each one gives a strange, masterfully crafted effect. Some make you tall, or large, or buff, or scrawny. One seems to even age the people that it reflects. You’ve always been decent at school, but you don’t have the slightest idea how the simple reflection of light can manage these effects.

The one that’s captured your attention though, is the one that seems like a normal mirror. From afar, there's no effect at all.

The laugher and goofing off of your friends and pokemon around you seem to fade away as your concentration falls increasingly into the reflection that you find. A reflection that comes from behind your eyes more than off of the mirror.

You gaze into the mirror. Into the blue, familiar, but strange eyes staring back at you. There’s something there you’ve never noticed before. A hidden feature. There’s more under it, but you want to look at this first.

What is this that you see? Is it real? A trick of the light? It looks like...

>A willingness to sometimes impose on others for your own wants and needs

Huh. You look pretty good. You’re becoming a strapping young man. Sure, the clothes always help, but now that you take a look, it seems like they’re no longer needed to disguise your smaller frame or accentuate your jawline. Your body and face are starting to address those issues. Your eyes look sharp even without a good accessory. Your posture looks nice even without trying. There’s just something about your aura that seems to be maturing, in a good looking way.

A flash of memories from when you delved deep into yourself and explored your subconscious lusts for the girls in your life. You feel a surprising lack of guilt for the thoughts that aren’t specifically about Laki and Hana. It’s just hormones and thoughts. Not actions.

It’s not like you’d let having two attractive girlfriends who are crazy about you get to your head, or try to take advantage of any innate gifts you might have inherited from your dad just to fulfil any base desires. You know you care deeply about Laki and Hana. More than deeply. There’s no doubt about that.

You just also happen to care deeply, -but differently-, about your other female friends. Having had a subconscious fantasy or two in the deep recesses of your mind when you first got to know everyone, while also emotionally caring for your friends who happen to be attractive, and acknowledging that maybe you’re a pretty sexually capable and attractive being, doesn’t mean anything.

You blink a few times, then examine the mirror from another angle. There’s something else under what you just noticed. This seems a lot more welcome. It looks like some sort of hidden potential you might be able to explore with your aura, later. It’s like you can visualize the wisps and steam and flow of the aura energy in and around you for brief moments if you squint just the right way.

You see distant, hidden, potential pathways for...

>An artistic sense of the human body to maximize it’s outer and inner beauty with the easiest of accessorizing
>Even more sexual energy flow. Enough to potentially become some sort of guru

“Huh.” Your sister, unattached to Max for once, pauses by the mirror and looks in. “Weird. It doesn't seem to do...oh. I see it. That’s strange. Who would want a mirror that makes you look tired and desperate?”

“Is...that what you see?” You ask her.

“Yeah. Look at those bags under my eyes. Too real.”

“Do you see anything else?”

She looks deeper. Harder. “Hmm. No. Sorry, Squirt.”

You guess maybe the first thing you saw is some sort of hidden worry, or darker side of yourself. The second thing you saw when you looked inside the mirror must be something only you could see because of your aura sensitivity.

Or maybe your imagination. But probably the aura thing.

You glance around. Everyone’s moved down the line of mirrors. It’s just you and your sister right now. You might have a few moments alone to chat quickly.

Wait, you’re not totally alone. Mace is by your feet.

You give her a sudden hug. She freezes up for a moment, then embraces you back.

“Hey now, Squirt. Is everything okay?”

You look up. This is more comfortable and safe feeling than you remember. Even after all your growth and adventure, she’s still your big sister. Someone you’ve cried on before. And you’ve had a lot of stress lately. Still, you don’t feel too bad at the moment. “Yeah. I just missed you.”

She holds your head before breaking the hug. “I missed you too,”

“So, how have you been? How’d you meet Max?” You feel like being a little more grown up.

“Oh. We met doing volunteer work.”

“Volunteer work?” You repeat. Her? Him?

“Yeah! He was so kind. Mom wanted me to get out of the house and dad kept trying to teach me guitar. So I found a Pikachu catching group. They’re trying to catch all the mainlander type of Pikachu. He was there catching them by the truckful. He even kept one.”

“Uh huh.” You remember meeting him with the Kecleon. But rather than bring that up, you ask her something else.

“What do you think about my friends?”

She looks down at Mace. “They’re cute! And they all really look up to you. It’s like seeing six little Josephs.” She brings up your little brother. “Except Belladonna. She seems like she’s half Laki’s...”

“How do you feel about Laki? And the others?”

“Hana seems nice. A bit shy, though. Abigail is a bit of a smartass, but I’m sure when she grows up that’ll fade. She’s still young. Keira is...special. She’s so happy. I thought it was an act at first or something but she seems genuine. I like her. That must get exhausting though. Valerie is like a magical fairy supermodel. She’s a bit naive and spoiled, but she’s alright. And Laki...well, I wanted to talk to you about her.”

“What do you mean?”

“She’s older, and...” She looks around, unsure of how to begin. “She seems really...assertive.”

“Yeah! She’s taught me a lot about being a man.” You assure your sister that Laki being older and assertive is a good thing. While you’re talking, you absentmindedly adjust your shirt in a mirror. Just a little tailoring could make a big difference.

“...What?”

You keep going. For some reason your sister’s voice sounds more “And she’s really cute on the inside. Don't let her hear me calling her that, though. I don't think she'd like to have everyone see her blushing” You say out loud, looking at your girlfriend from afar. She sneaks up on Hana, covering her eyes. Hana laughs, and looking around first, gives Laki a quick, shy kiss. Laki is a little embarrassed when Valerie pops up nearby and asks a question you can’t hear.

Oh wow. They’re getting even closer every day.

Your sister watches this too. Her skepticism turns to confusion. “Huh. You uh, really have a whole...thing going on, huh?”

“Umm, I guess. All I know is that we’re happy.”

She looks down at you, giving you that protective look she gets sometimes. “How’d you guys all meet, exactly?”

You give her a brief overview of that as you get closer to the group. You sister seems to be looking for something in your story that she can’t find. A sign or red flag that validates her suspicions and worries. She fails to find anything by the time you get back. She doesn't seem satisfied at all, though.

Laki puts an arm around your shoulder. “Hey Soft Hands. Have your fill of mirrors?”

That tank top would really bring out her eyes if it were a different color.

“Yeah. Let’s go check out some rides.”

“Yes!” Keira bounces. “This is the first year we’ve had mechanical rides! Valerie’s dad sponsored a lot of neat mainlander stuff! Omigosh I’ve never ridden anything like that before!”

Keira flies off in the direction of the ferris wheel.

“Lot of energy in that one.” Your sister blinks.

“Yeah.” Hana sighs, watching Keira pump her legs.

“Sure you’re up for the rides, Herb?” Max asks, putting his hand at your height level. He’s implying you’re short! You’re not sh-

“I didn’t notice before, but Max is about an inch taller.” Hana says out loud. She covers her mouth after. “Oh that’s going to keep me awake at night, cringing, years from now.” She mutters to herself. Her hand touches your shoulder. She tries to think of something to say to make up for it. She leans in a little closer. “That’s not the type of inch that matters.”

“Oh my Arceus! I can hear you.” Your sister says, incredulous and disgusted. She's always had incredible hearing.

Hana can’t seem to look you or your sister in the eyes. She gets really flustered, lets her hair cover her face, and then suddenly points. “Heh. Um. Wow. Talk about bad first impressions, right? I...err- I’m going to go ride The Decapitator and hope it works.” She runs off.

“She’ll be fine.” Laki assures Valerie, who was about to chase her. “Last thing she wants is more attention right now. She’ll slip in back with the group once she thinks everyone forgot.”

“Well, okay.” Valerie says, looking concerned for her friend but trusting Laki. “What ride should we go on first?”

“That one looks fun.” You point to the spinning, twirling, scary ride.

Your sister leans in. “Are you sure? That looks pretty scary. Remember when we went to the fair before?”

“That was years ago!” Your voice cracks. You didn’t mean to sound so excited.

“As long as you’re not trying to prove anything.” She says, concerned. Max snickers. She only looks mildly annoyed at that and quietly tells him to stop.

“That looks like a great way to lose my lunch.” Laki says, looking up.

“It looks amazing! You can just leave your lunch down here!” Keira bounces over your head. She lands right by Ghost Pepper, who panics and zooms away as if he couldn’t see her.

Oh yeah. He can’t.

“I don’t know...” Valerie looks scared.

Ghost Pepper settles back near you, confused but quickly getting over it

“Well, it’s four to a seat. You can stay here with me.” Your sister says. “I know Max won’t mind. He’s always telling me about the daredevil stuff he does.”

Max looks regretful. He hands her his bag and goes with you, Laki, and Keira to the ride.

The four of you don’t have much of a line to wait in. That’s good, because you’re not sure what sort of small talk to have with Max. When it’s time to get in, the person running the ride stops you. “Are they going on too?”

You hadn’t noticed, but there’s a special seating for pokemon available. It’s a bit pricey for the tickets, but it seems like it’d be a unique experience for them.

She seems to admire something about her and has been looking interested in that particular human since first seeing her. Ghost Pepper wants to join the rest of the group and follows inside the special pokemon seating and cage area. It doesn’t seem too concerned that it can’t be strapped in.

“Lucky for you to do this now instead of later.” The person running the ride tells Gobble. You notice the small chart of disallowed pokemon. There’s a very distinct silhouette of a Snorlax right in the middle.

Laki takes your hand as the ride slowly begins. Valerie takes Laki’s other hand, to her surprise.

“Oh gosh!” Valerie is already near panic.

Max rolls his eyes, and Laki just looks generally eager. Keira bounces in her seat, impatient for it to start.

As the ride begins to move, you get a bad feeling. Of course, that’s easily dismissed as just jitters from the scariest ride there is. You begin to spin around, slowly at first. Then faster. The faster. Suddenly you’re upside down and everyone is screaming! This is crazy! This is a blast! You-

KACUNK!

Your bad luck seems to strike again as the ride makes a terrible, loud, cranking noise! Laki’s hand nearly crushes yours in an instant.

Max is shrieking at the top of his lungs so loudly that you have trouble thinking. You look around to try to figure out what happened. Only after precious seconds can you make sense of it with all the spinning and chaos. The seating that your pokemon are in came partly loose, hanging by a slowly bending metal rod. It’s a row of seats like yours, but with a surrounding cage in case pokemon get loose. You can see Gobble pinned to the wall of it because of the spinning force. Dice’s claws dig into the seats like a scared Meowth, while Belladonna clings to him. Ghost Pepper is nowhere to be seen.

The machine continues to spin. The person running the ride and everything else at the ground is an incoherent blur.

Keira is still screaming with joy. She's having the time of her life!

Call for Ghost Pepper.

>Yell to Sorbet to freeze the ride
Focus on making sure the metal rod doesn't bend or break!
>Something else
Try and get Pepper to possess the ride itself, and force it to stop!

try to get Ghost pepper to posses the ride and bring it to a controlled stop

specifically secure the seats to the frame with ice rather then at any of the moving bits.

Thank you gobble!

So Laki is now amiable to Keira getting lessons in taking barbarian pride, right?

Wish I read this before I posted. Seconding the ghost pepper idea.

>Pepper! Turn it off!

If the ride isn’t already shutting down, it’s fine to go over the operator’s head.

I like to imagine we can’t see Pepper in the cage because it’s seat just phased right through it instead of carrying it along.

Boy it would suck if Hana lost her new family in a freak accident too. If she’s watching this, I’m expecting a for real panic attack.

(I know the part we’re in isn’t breaking, but if the Pokémon cage flew off the whole thing’d be unbalanced.)

>So I found a Pikachu catching group. They’re trying to catch all the mainlander type of Pikachu. He was there catching them by the truckful. He even kept one.
unless Max has a bunch of pikachus this means hes been dating our sister since we first met his womanizing ass.
>>
>>3344748
Well, flirtatious. Womanizing implies it actually ever leads anywhere, or at least is intended to. Flirtatious is still sleazy, but it's not so bad.

There's also the possibility he met Joan, then left for a while and interacted with us, then started going steady with Joan. In which case, he's fine.

Now, Herb would be able to reason the same things as us, and ask questions that would narrow down the possibilities.

It should all be discussed with her when we get a quiet moment. At the very least, he has lied to her. He has a record of that in general. I’m honestly a little worried that she’s going to let him down too hard and he’s going to become a disciple of Fug miniboss. I just hope she tries to get him to redeem himself into something resembling a tolerable human being.
>>
>>3344850
I don't see a problem there. We get to help AND beat the shit outta him. Best of both worlds!

Done rereading, and Herbs mom has never had a name.

Anything important we've forgotten that we should be working towards, anon?

The gem that Ghost pepper was in still needs to be investigated

Vals dads statement of "Not again" might either refer to Nega-fug messing with him or him going full uncle tom and blaming mainlanders for the industrial accident. we know it was caused by a picakchu

other then that all our goals seem to be fairly current.

>Figure out how to afford a baby
>Have the sex with Keira under an eclipse
>Figure out how to feed all the people
>Help Val with an event
>Make max look stupid
>Stop the eldritch horror that is puppeting the Protectors ghost/skellington at the bottom of the hole in the ocean from eating the world

you know, little things

Okay guys, I’ve had an idea for a backup plan:

Let’s say we roll some middling result and Pepper is able to possess the ride, but unable to stop/control it.

If we heal Peppper while it’s possessing the ride, maybe we can heal the ride?

Otherwise, how do the appliances Rotom normally use in battle get fixed?

(Plus, Herb could then be able to heal things like Hana’s prosthetics or a Pokédex .)
