They were demigods. Immortal warriors that, for one reason or another, rose up to fight the evil Biorgs and stop them from destroying the planet. They were the Titans, invincible in their stolen bio-organic power armor, and 25 years ago, they vanished along with the aliens after their final battle on the mothership.

At least, until a month ago. The Biorgs have returned with a vengeance, and without its protectors, Aldraad soon fell. Now the Biorgs own the cities, and we had to count on ourselves. I had to count on myself.

But then I found it, in a rundown lab in the mountains of Alpha City. A Titan Armor, looking all the world like the past 25 years had just been a few days. I was a Titan enthusiast as a teenager, so I recognized it immediately as…

>Titan Avalon, the first, the swordsman. He was their leader, and a champion of the common people. Some say that he was the Biorg's public enemy numero uno, but everyone knows he was the turning point of the war and his theft of the first Titan armor was what inspired the rest of them.
Passive Ability: Kingsman (You are more likely to convince people to follow your orders.)
Active Ability: Knight's Caliber (You have increased proficiency with all weapons while the armor is active.)

>Titan Lilith, the seductress, the sorceress. She was the Morgana to his Arthur. Some say all she wanted was chaos, others control over the world. No matter the reason, she fought for her people, using her talent for manipulation and mischief to wipe out entire armies of Biorgs.
Passive Ability: The Rosetta Doctrine (You can speak multiple languages with the ease of a baby's babbling.)
Active Ability: In the Spider's Web (You have limited telekinetic and telepathic abilities, including short term mind control and psychic blasts.)

>Titan Gilgamesh, the berserker, the iconoclast. He was not like the others. The armor controlled him, not the other way around. His rampages tore apart both ally and enemy, and eventually he retired when the weight of his sins was too much, only returning for that final battle on the alien mothership.
Passive Ability: On the Shoulders of Giants (You become stronger and tougher while in the company of others.)
Active Ability: Fury of the Storm (You become incrementally stronger and tougher over time while the armor is active, but your reason decreases respectively.)

>Titan Muse, the mystic, the songwright. She was the most reluctant to fight, ever the peacemaker, always seeking another path. Maybe it was her way of making up for the crimes she had committed before she was forced to wear the armor, her guilt strengthening the armor’s power.
Passive Ability: Echoes of the Past (You have a particular gift for both investigation and deception, weaving stories in order to suit your needs.)
Active Ability: Resonance (You can control sound and people's emotions, unleashing both powerful sonic blasts and sweet lullabies to lure the angriest Biorg to rest.)

>Titan Umbra, the twice-betrayer, the rebel. He did not always fight against the Biorgs, for he was mindslaved to them during the first attack. It was only after several clashes with Avalon and the rest of the titans that they were able to break the brainwashing, and some say that there was something still tormenting him up until that final clash.
Passive Ability: Cloaked in Falsehood (You have an easier time hiding things, either physically or through your words.)
Active Ability: Shadow Dancer (You can manipulate shadows and travel through them for short distances. You excel at creating shadow constructs and using the shadows to travel in secret.)

The moment you touch it, you feel a strange connection to the gargantuan biological armor system. To your surprise, it yields to your hand, and doesn't let go once it's inside. Slowly, the armor drags you inside it, until you're completely enveloped. At first, it’s dark inside, but then an internal HUD lights up in front of your face, allowing you to see through the armor's eyes. You feel two sharp pricks of pain, one at the base of your spine and the other the back of your neck, and you can move the armor as easily as you would your own limbs.

Your studies in using the armor are interrupted when you hear the distinct popping sound of a Biorg invasion craft. They must have followed you! Your first instinct is to run and hide, but you feel a strange source of aggression coming from a foreign part of your mind. It feels like the suit wants to fight the invaders!

You creep outside, and find the UFBO dropped off a squad of 4 Biorg serfs and a Biorg Warrior. Those things were the front line of the alien invasion force, wearing heavier armor than the foot soldiers and commanding them with their increased intelligence. You also heard they had some kind of alien honor code, as they only killed combatants and challenged strong warriors to duels in hand to hand combat.

>Run, you're too unused to this armor to try and fight (-20 due to Aggression and Size.)
>Try and pick off the Serfs by forming a Bio Cannon. (-10 due to Inexperience.)
>Run in and crush the Serfs before they have a chance to react.
>Summon your Titan Weapon and challenge the Warrior to a duel (+10 due to Aggression.)

I try to call out to the Warrior, but it just comes out as a modulated roar. The Warrior seems to understand and accept my challenge however, slinging its plasma rifle over its shoulder and unleashing a shock baton. “I don't know if you can understand me creature,” it says in its disgusting version of Graasie. “But I'm going to enjoy bringing the head of the last resisting Titan to Emperor Rex. I don't how to escaped 25 years ago, but you will fall before me.” I've heard the Biorgs speak before, but I never quite got over how their mandibles butcher the vowels and the gurgling sounds they make when pronouncing the letter g.

I don't respond to its taunt, instead rushing forth with surprising speed while beckoning the Titan Weapon of Gilgamesh, the Titan Gauntlets. To my surprise, the bio-organic fists form easily, and I leap into close combat with the Biorg leader even as its Serfs scramble out of the way. He's ready for me, but underestimates how quickly I can move; he tries dodging my first punch and nearly succeeds, but a near dodge doesn't count for much when I hit harder than a freight truck. The spikes on my knuckles scrape across his armor, drawing out the layer of miniature tentacles that interfaces the power armor with the Biorg underneath. In return, he strikes in with his stun baton, going for my less armored armpit and digging in. That actually hurt. A little.

(Armor at 48/55 Integrity. The Warrior is looking banged up but can still fight. The Serfs are watching warily, but may join in if you relent or show weakness.)

>Continue trying to hit the Warrior with the Titan Gauntlets. (+10 due to Aggression.)
>Try and disarm the Warrior.

I need more power. I try focusing on that flame of anger coming from the new, foreign part of your mind, trying to stoke it like a flame. Imagine my surprise when the armor resists me. The flame grows colder, and I swear for a moment it almost feels like Gilgamesh is ashamed. For a moment, I hallucinate a stern old man with a cane holding the hand of a small boy. The oldie shakes his head at me, and walks away with the boy in tow. The kid never takes his eyes off me and after a moment, they're gone.

(The armor isn't responding.)

The Warrior tries to take advantage of my absent-mindedness and strike, but the suit takes control and knocks him back into a ruined wall. With their leader downed for now, the Serfs look at each other and aren't sure what to do. One enterprising one darts in and attacks, using its knife on the unarmored knee join. The armor tries to block but is too slow, and the Serfs gets away. Now they'll be out for blood. I can see the one that attacked change before my eyes, evolving for his new role as leader.

(Armor at 45/55 Integrity. The Warrior is knocked out by his self repair protocols will soon kick in. The Serfs are ganging up on you. The armor is not responding.)

>Try to regain control of the armor (-10 due to Inexperience.)
>Let the armor take control.
>Try to restart the flame. (roll 2 dice and take the lowest.)

Ending today's session here, likely to pick up again sometime tomorrow. Would have liked to have done more but I got distracted finishing off Umbrella Academy on Netflix.

I decide to sit back and fume as the armor moves against my control, taking the attacks of the Serfs as they dart in before attempting to crush them in retaliation. It's slow work, with how fast the Biorgs are in comparison to Titan Gilgamesh, but it's not like I can go anywhere else. By the time I even realize the evolved Serf had disappeared, both it and the Warrior were gone. I guess I'll be seeing them in the future.

(Armor at 40/55 Integrity. Combat concluded. Integrity will regenerate at a rate of 3 Int/non-combat post.)

At last, I'm alone, the crushed corpses of the Biorgs that stayed behind to stall in a heap behind me. Gilgamesh stands still, and at last I can move again. To no one in particular, I shout “Is this the lesson you want to teach Old man! To give up on someone at the first sign of your displeasure? Fine! Consider this a lesson learned!”

At first, there's no response, but then the same old man from before pops info existence before me. From this distance, he looks even more ghastly then before, covered in scars and old war wounds. “You’re an even bigger fool than I thought,” he lectures, inspecting the armor as he did so. “You get chosen by a Titan Armor to be its partner, one of the most deadly and feared Bioweapons in the universe, and your first instinct is to go poking where you don't belong! Honestly, I don't know what the hell it sees in you, but since it decided to reject literally everyone else I lured in, you'll have to do.”

He stops moving and grabs my arm, looking over it with a skilled eye. “Why haven't you transformed back yet?” he asks with tangible displeasure. He must have guessed my answer from my silence. “Gods almighty, I got sacked with an idiot.” The ghost sighs. “You'll need to determine an activation and deactivation phrase for the armor, since it responds to vocal commands. The armor will shrink down to some predetermined camouflaged form while deactivated, and I cannot stress this enough, Don't lose the armor while it's camouflaged.”

Choose an activation phrase and deactivation phrase.
>”Death has no hold on me!” and “My vigil finally ceases.” (Go with the classic, easily recognisable but you're held to a higher standard.)
>”For Aldraad!” and “This is our home, guard it well!” (Freedom fighter, inspires hope but takes on the burden of leadership.)
>”I will kill all Biorgs!” and “This is the end for you.” (Revenge, takes a more personal note but drives moderates away.)
