Ironically Sachiko's idea of keeping the girls together in pairs is a sound one and it's best for all the girls to be in one place, strength in numbers. If we have to take special measures like siphoning corruption to keep Yuu and Kanna safe, it's worth it at this stage of the game. Especially if the tracker on Yuu was able to get past the mansion's hope barrier while Junko and Yuu fought last thread. Well she did stay unconscious for a pretty long time. That in itself is pretty serious and always carries a risk of death if anything is lightly off, which is why doctors never put you under unless they absolutely have to before we even think of the blood lost from the battle. I also suspect a sleeping spell was put on her since bullet wounds probably tend to wake people up before the blood loss sets in. We'd obviously have dispelled that during the timeskip if it was active when we got her or if it was not going to wear off on it's own.

Arc's next report is gonna be a blast for whomever is on the other line. We're making the news, local scientists have either figured out this shit doesn't match with the laws of physics or the local B.R.P.D. has started to take notice and is starting to investigate,there's already a mass of shadows in town and it's only a matter of time until reporters/police notice the connection with Yuu even if the two dudes manage to cover up that they ignored the 911 call. Interdepartmental squabbles galore might be starting.

"Ugh....too much to drink." Mrs. Mitsukoshit said.

"Heh!! Let's do that again." For some reason, your mother is still drunk. Or maybe the atmosphere is."

Arriving at the hospilat. You ask the receptionist where Yuu was. She then gave you direction to where her room is. Thanking the receptionist, you go to where her directions told you. After a maze like direction the nurse gave, you arrive at her room. There are murmur inside and you opened the door. There you see a girl in suit with a white doctors outfit and a nurse which you presumably a shadow. The nurse nods at you. Then the doctor noticed you.

"Oh! Are you uh.....Queen?"

Looking at the doctor, she is like too young. At most doctors can be at the age of 21-25 but she looks 18 maybe younger. You feel that suit in her doctor robes are still student uniform presumably from the medicinal university. She looks at you expectantly waiting for your answer.

Healing has not been shown to be a priority for shadows due to the regeneration. It's either we get damaged enough to die, or we regenerate it after a few minutes with Raye's wounds being the most grievous we saw so far and she seemed almost unaffected not even a day after by being tossed around like a ragdoll by Arc. The living are the ones that need help on that front, not us.

I was also thinking more along the lines of relegating her to a magical researcher. She can cleanup any messes we cause like purifying the idiots that drank Marie's puke during the camping trip on occasion but she's mostly in the lab to solve the mystery of WTF caused us, explore magic in general for the power of SCIENCE. Doctors are ill equipped to run off on extra curricular activities like being part of a fighting force. She probably doesn't get enough sleep as it is and you're thinking she can spare her 2-4 hours of sleep a night helping in a battle when she could be at the hospital saving a dozen people? Like i said before, If she is half shadow she could create a clone that could work for her while she rests. And even if she is unable to do that, being a shadow gives you extra stamina and a bunch of other benefits that someone in her line of work would kill for.

The hope essence in the core is really concentrated. We might have more control using Junko's hope energy. It was really faint the last time we tried to use it. But we wanted them dead, we knew that they would return in a similar state to ours and since the moment we returned as a half shadow we knew we didn't come back right because we bleed black ooze among other things. I mean, junko should be surprised that she has no pulse, but it should be more like an "oooh, that's interesting to know" and not a full blown out "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA".

Maybe if you didn't get any friends, you would end up like her. She must be suffering everytime she goes out of the house. But if she is suffering that much then.....

Marie now arrives with another tray of cakes when she saw the same thing you saw. She slides beside you and whisper you in the ear.

"Damn, this girl can be a shadow if you push her on the dark path. I mean Uncle is one. I don't know, we could cultivate her into one of us. She is already broken."

You look at the girl who is quietly sipping her tea unbeknownst to her that a big corruptive shadow is clawing angrily at you. Realizing that it could trigger a certain amount of alarms in your head. You stand up to your seat and immediately hug her dropping the cup into the soft grass. She was startled as you start to siphon her suffering away.

"Wh-What happened?"

"Look Mako, I want to help you. I just....I'm involved in some really complicated things. I'm not sure if you would believe me and I wouldn't want to get someone else in trouble. Do you want to be my friend?"

"I can easily see a suffering person. I can wash all your worries away. Now....just release them all."

Mako tears starts to shed, her body leaned onto you and then she starts to cry. Very very loud. The corruption is slowly siphoned onto her and into you empowering yourself. Then you hear a voice inside your head.

Wow, what a big catch Junko! Are you sure you want to suck all of these corruption? You'll eclipse your hopeful energy and in turn, it will never recover and you'll become a 100% shadow. Just reminding you from your friendly neighborhood who is staying here for free.

But looking at the corruption inside her. It seems to be.......regenerating? Just how much this girl suffering hides so much?

"Junko, we need to get her inside. She will attract different kinds of attention."

Right, you are in the middle of siphoning a probably unlimited supply of corruption.
