The Dark Side of the force is signing to you. You can feel it as a chorus of voices that resonates through your body, your blood, your bones, alive with its power.

You stand on the obsidian black, polished bridge deck of your flagship Tarkin,, feet planted firmly through that very power. The raging torrent of air that whips past you is little more than a whisper to you, a breeze. The crew and officers that were here are gone, blasted by the maelstrom through the shattered forward viewport and out into space. You hold the emergency blast shutters open through the power of the Force.

A lightsaber hums in your hand, the blade red like blood.

Across from you, your two rivals, if they can even be called that. The self-proclaimed Dark Lady of the Sith, Lumiya, a crippled, twisted thing, a discarded tool of yours, one that would have been better to stay dead. Ederlathh, a distant blood relative, her black gown fluttering in the wind, a lightsaber clenched tightly in sweating hands, fear on her face.

This is it. This will be the end and because of that, you can’t help but laugh.

I allow between ten and fifteen minutes for voting depending on the importance of the issue and how divided the vote is. If the vote is tied up, I usually allow an extra five minutes for a tiebreaker, and if no one votes, I roll for the tiebreaker The will of the Dark Side.

I always try to incorporate (and encourage!) write-ins if they don't violate the spirit of voted decisions, though I may edit or tweak them to fit better.

In for the end
>>
Both the women you face have had a chance to collect themselves, mustering what Force power they wield to stand, as you do, against the current of air. They are doomed and they sense it. There will be no escape for them this time.

Past them, beyond the shattered viewport, a battle rages and your capital is burning.

As Tie fighters scream to and fro and emerald lances of turbolaser fire cross the night, you see the consequences of an ill-advised shot from Tarkin’s forward superlaser. They would pay.

Ederlathh raises her blade in a high guard position and pivots at the waist, twisting in a sudden, fluid motion to decapitate Lumiya. Cybernetics flash and spark as her head is severed and- together with her lifeless body- goes tumbling out the viewport into the void.

When the young woman looks back at you, her eyes are lit with fury, each of you feeling the sudden wash of power that the death of a powerful Force user brings.

“Your apprentice is dead!” Ederlathh shouts, her voice barely heard over the cacophony around you. “I felt it. Now, my master is dead. You and I are all that remain of the Two Sith.”

“You are no Sith,” you reply, amused, but sizing her up, She is quite powerful, it’s raw, but it’s there. She is only now learning discipline, the ability to reign in her impulses enough to make the Force obey her.

“No?” she asks, head cocked. “Maybe not yet.” She lowers the saber. “Take me as your apprentice. We can rule the galaxy, the Emperor and his rightful heir. We can put an end to this ridiculous fighting.”

You laugh, “You’ll betray me. You will not be content in my shadow.”

“What true Sith apprentice would?” she asks. With a wave of her hand, she takes in the battlefield outside the ship. “It needn't be like this. I can learn from a true master. I have been taught how to wage war from the shadows. You can teach me another way.” she licks dry lips and continues, “I can keep you on guard, ensure you never become complacent!” There is a pause, “Is that not how it is supposed to be? One Sith to have power? The other to seek it?” She roughly quotes the ancient Sith doctrine at you, the Rule of Two.

In the Force, Ederlathh Pallipodes, your niece, and a Duchess of Naboo is on fire. She seethes energy, radiating it like heat. It is accompanied with fear, anger, and beneath it, a hint of hope. Could this young girl be your next apprentice? She certainly has the power, has the drive. Darth Bane would approve of her viewpoint of the Master/Apprentice relationship but . . . of course, Bane isn’t here to decide.

RIP Ederlathh

Glad she was actually used in something after decades of languishing all but forgotten in a WEG sourcebook
>>
You chuckle softly, but soon it turns to full-blown laughter.

The smile on Ederlathh’s face fades and dies as her hopes do the same.

“Why,” you say, “Would you believe I’d want an Apprentice to strive for more? Do you still believe I have any intention of ever dying? That I would ever let anyone take this role from me?”

Your manic smile fades away to a sinister scow, “I’ve sacrificed too much and fought too hard for that.”

“No!” Ederlathh brings her saber up before you wrench it from her grasp in the force, letting the small metal tube tumble out into the vacuum of space. “No! No! No!” She screams, her collected expression dissolves in a furious tantrum. She brings her hands up to summon what powers she has to attack you, the source of all the suffering and misery in her life.

She doesn’t stand a chance.

Azure bolts of lightning leap from your fingertips and dance over her skin, each electrical arc that kisses her sears her nerves.

The usurper, the traitor Duchess, the would-be Empress loses her grip and is still screaming as she tumbles from the ship. With the heretic Sith exterminated, you relax your grip on reality and allow the emergency shutters to slam down, stopping the howling wind tunnel.

You take a slow breath and look around the carnage. She was right about one thing, you had to end this ridiculous fighting.

Brushing off your robes, you stow your saber and start walking toward the communications station. Let’s see if you still remember how to dial out.

***

Somehow, against all odds, Vells survived the chaotic run at Tarkin. He survived long enough to see a friend he had thought long dead for one last time. He’d survived to make it back to the loyalist forces, and now was weaving around the burning ruin of a Lancer-Class frigate, picking off Tie fighters that came at him.

He almost tuned out the transmission when it first came in. A general broadcast boosted through the chaos and ambient jamming of the battle, a broadcast coming from Tarkin.

“Rumors of my death,” the voice, unmistakable, said. “Have been greatly exaggerated.”

“By the Emperor,” Vells said, “It’s kriffing him!”

***

You are Grand Admiral Alana Tyrna, and you are hearing the voice of your Emperor for the first time in too long.

“Is this on all channels?” You ask.

“Yes, Grand Admiral.”

“Can we confirm it?” You demand.

“It is him,” Lord Sallin says from beside you. “The Emperor lives.”

“Boost the signal,” you say, “Relay this to all ships.”

Your capital ship shudders from a distant explosion, a Corellian Dreadnaught, out of control, has tumbled into your shields. There is still a battle to fight, but the Traitors are weakening. A visual scan of the tactical map shows you that Tavira’s pirate band is edging away from the fight and a clear boundary is starting to form between Oxtroe and Lobkin’s fleets.

Thrawn’s fleet is regrouping, but Tarkin’s fire is slackening. The Emperor’s broadcast is having its effect.

“Ma’am, High Colonel Tierce is requesting orders,” Coms says.

“Thrawn is the real threat here,” you say. “If he dies, this war is over. Tell Tierce to do whatever it takes.”

“Yes, Grand Admiral.”

It leaves the main body of traitors, Oxtroe and Lobkin, both are capable enough commanders in their own right and will need to be dealt with. If you focus primarily on Oxtroe, you might just eliminate the closest thing to a leader the traitors will have left. If you focus on Lobkin, you will kick out the last support they have to lean on.

There is also the option of simple attack the middle and trying to secure Tarkin, though it will leave the enemy unengaged and might give them a chance to regroup or retreat.

You had some heavy baggage with Lobkin in the past. Even know you can recall the sensation of stroking his hand in the backseat of a luxury landspeeder. Oxtroe though, Oxtroe was easy to hate.

A glory stealing, joyless bitch of a woman who only ever wanted to make sure she was above you.

You maneuver your fleet to engage, subtly angling away from Lobkin. A signal that perhaps you’re not so unforgiving.

***

“Admiral!” Coms calls insistently, pulled Lobkin from his intent study of the tactical map. Rather, his intent focus on appearing to study the tactical map even as he lingered on the Emperor’s transmission.

The Emperor was alive? This was not what Admiral Oxtroe had told him.

Turning away, he looks to coms. “Yes?”

“Grand Admiral Thrawn is requesting we send reserves to strike at the Corellians flank. He insists that this is-”

Lobkin waves him off. “There are entirely too many Grand Admirals in this battle for me to heed every one. We have trouble our own.” To punctuate his words, a pair of Scimitar bombers unloaded their deadly ordinance on the bow of his star destroyer.

“We also have a transmission from Grand Admiral Oxtroe. She insists that we press the attack on the traitors.”

Traitors. The word is poison in Lobkin’s mind. He went to take a drag from his cigarra and saw that he was holding a burnt out stump. None of this was going how he had expected. Oxtroe had lied to him.

He sends a murderous glare her direction, seeing Alana’s fleet mercilessly battering them with turbolaser fire.

She could have come after him, she must have known his forces were brittle, close to breaking. She left him alive . . . a favor he wouldn’t forget.

“New targets,” Lobkin calls. “All guns, come about ninety degrees”

“Ninety?” Tactical asked. “Sir, that-”

“Brings them to bear on the real traitors here,” Lobkin finished. “We’re not going to sit idly by as our Emperor needs us!”

“Y-yes sir.”

***

“Ma’am?” Sensors says, “A development.”

You look at the tactical chart to see Lobkin’s forces turning on Oxtroe, coming about to join your fire on hers.

Even as you note this, Tavira’s forces leap to hyperspace. The Traitors are now fatally outnumbered.

You’ve always heard you should not trust a traitor, but a small part of you wonders if Lobkin might be forgiven his oversight, his nearly fatal mistake.

You grit your teeth. It wasn’t your place to decide Lobkin’s ultimate fate, but you would let him live. Perhaps you would even put in a good word at his inevitable trial.

“Mark Lobkin’s forces as friendly in our transponders. We’ll worry about the rest once this is over.”

It’s time to press the traitors. Thrawn and Oxtroe have been forced together and chaos is reigning among their forces. One good, concerted effort and you could crush them before either can formulate a plan or take charge of what remains.

Yeah boyo, almost nobody does.

DESB (and a lot of WEGs other stuff) was full of cool details which never really got picked up later on. Ederlathh and Oxtroe among them.
>>
It is a bloodbath. Thus cornered, the traitor fleet is carved up by turbolaser fire until they are too weak to oppose your fighter and bomber runs. Soon enemy ships are fleeing in desperation, many crashing against Imperial Center’s planetary shields and breaking up over the atmosphere.

On the bridge of Chimera, Captain Palleon calls uselessly for a medical officer as he tries to stop his Admiral from bleeding out from the shrapnel wound he sustained to his chest when the transparisteel viewport exploded.

“But,” the former Grand Admiral was reported to say, “There was no art to it.”

Elsewhere, another Grand Admiral breathed her last.

“Not like this!” She cried, emotion getting the better of her. “I won’t be bested like this!”

“It’s over, Admiral!” Her XO shouted, seizing her. “We have to signal the surrender.” He said no more afterward, gasping from the gutshot Oxtroe gave him with her sidearm.

Flying a Star Destroyer alone is no simple task, but Oxtroe made it hers, plotting coordinates and engaging the sublight drives. As her flagship buckled and shook, it gained speed, accelerating toward the center of the enemy fleet, the black dagger of Tarkin.

By the time of impact, none of the bridge personnel were alive, all had evacuated in the moments leading up to that kamikaze run.

The impact of Oxtroe’s warship was the final nail in Tarkin’s coffin, the Super Star Destroyer shattering and crashing into the shields of the planet.

With Oxtroe’s death, the end of the traitor regime was guaranteed. None survived to take credit and most of those who were taken alive were led into this venture under false pretenses. As for the Emperor, he was evacuated from Tarkin well ahead of time and brought swiftly to the liberated Imperial Palace.

The damage to the Empire is immense, but not insurmountable. Admiral Dalaa was revealed to have conducted guerilla resistance against Thrawn’s forces near the frontier, even after the supposed merger. With the death of Thrawn, any resistance against the Dark Empire by his forces fades away with ships surrendering in droves. Soon enough, Thrawn’s cloning cylinders have come under your control, as well as his methods of rapidly growing stable clone soldiers. Eliminating- perhaps- your reliance on conscripted forces.

Admiral Silas Lobkin is the last remaining traitor of any significant rank, and one of your few remaining admirals.

His fate falls to you.

Admiral Lobkin is present on Imperial Center some months later during the Emperor’s victory speech. He’s been transferred to serve as headmaster of Anaxes Naval College and is carefully monitored there as he trains the next generation of military officers.

The Emperor’s speech is delivered to a crowd of nearly a million and broadcast via holonet to the trillions of sentients in the Empire. The backdrop of the speech is the scorched, titanic crater that mars the surface of Coruscant and serves as an impromptu memorial to the untold dead for the Dark Empire’s wars.

Grand Admiral Alana Tyrna’s promotion is made final and she is recognized as a Hero of the Empire where she receives the incredibly rare and coveted title of Duchess of Byss. As the Emperor himself bestows this honor on her, she sees her father smiling from the crowd of gathered dignitaries. His daughter, once a lowly junior naval officer had become the most highly decorated officer in the Imperial Armed forces, a woman seen as single-handedly saving the Empire from destruction.

On Byss, the Emperor ensures his prize, Jacen Solo, is safely in custody still. His higher brain functions have been warped by the condition Brakiss gave him, but he will someday serve as a perfect tool of your will.

On the throne on Imperial Center, Emperor Sheev Palpatine sits, his body idle, but his mind busily at work. The Jedi still live somewhere in the galaxy, hiding as their predecessors did. Isard is missing, Tavira escaped, and vast stretches of the Empire are in the hands of minor warlords, but these are but minor setbacks.

On Byss, you are Grand Admiral Alana Tyrna and you are taking a much-needed break. The navy is being rebuilt for the great return to the galaxy. The Empire lives and breathes, and it is because of you. Ahead of you, the Amenge estate and standing on the veranda, Lord Amenge, now, at last, a Lord of the Sith.

You cross to him, unable to keep a stupid smile off your face

Grand Admira,” he greets with a smile.

Lord Amenge,” you reply.

The world seems to stop as you share a kiss. For each of you it was a kiss decades in the making.

“You’ve done it,” he says.

“We’ve done it,” you return.

“Alana,” Vende says, sea breeze tussling his hair. “There’s something I want to ask you.”

You don’t trust yourself to speak, you don’t have to be a Sith to know what’s coming.

Vende Amenge, Lord of Byss and Dark Lord of the Sith takes a knee. “Will you be my wife? Will you start a family with me?”

Your eyes light up and you feel your heart catch. You should be afraid, you should feel the great weight of all the threats of the galaxy and beyond but you don’t. You’ve faced down the worst the universe has to offer and stared down death itself. You are Alana Tyrna, the Bloody Duchess of Byss and you are not afraid.

“Yes.”

That’s the end of Dark Empire. Thank you So so much for playing guys. This quest is very nearly two years old and has THOUSANDS of words written for it. I consider it a huge success even if I didn’t do the subject matter as much justice as I could have. It never ever would have been the success that it is without awesome players like you. Thanks for reading, thanks for believing, thanks for playing

I hate to say goodbye after such an amazing run, so I hope you guys will join me on my Discord so we can hang out and chat. I’d love to hear any questions or comments you have. I’ll also be here in the thread of course to talk.

As for next projects, I am going to take a break from questing, this took up so much more of my time than I ever thought it would two years ago bored on a road trip.

I’m giving thought to running a Warhammer 40K Quest of some kind of a Musket and Bayonet-era quest in a fictional setting.

Thanks again everyone!

As someone who has followed since thread 1, thank you so much for running this to the very end TK. I can easily say that this has been my favorite quest to play.

Feels almost symbolic to see Tarkin fall in our final thread after we christened it in the first thread. I love this setting and what we were able to do with it. I can only imagine what the galaxy’s future will look like now with Grand Admiral Tyrna and Lord Amenge leading in Sheev’s name.

Wow, I just got home from work to catch the end. I've been here since the beginning, and I'm glad you rode this out until the end.

Thanks so very much TK for all the effort you put Into the politics and the spacebattles, not to mention everything else, the dialogue and rolling with the punches.

My only wonder for this quests ending Is might we ever get closure on the fate of the Jedi, and the Galaxy at large? As much as I would love for you to keep running It would probably be more reasonable If maybe down the line might you consider an omake for what happens to Luke, or something along those lines?

Regardless, I'm really glad to see this quest get a proper ending. Thanks for everything TK, cheers.
>>
Never thought this quest would be finished. Congrats TK, you've cemented yourself into the /qst/ hall of fame, for what it's worth.

>Epilogues
Sure. Who do you want?

>Flash forward
Not gonna speculate too much on what the future may hold. Suffice to say that the Empire will reclaim all lost territory in short order, proper Inquisition will sweep the galaxy for adepts, and the navy will grow fuck huge again.

>>3368505
Thanks for sticking with it!

>Closure
Not sure. I feel like anything would be a let down. Luke and Leia pull an Obi Wan and Yoda and return to hiding. IF Big if I ever continue the setting, I would deal with that. But that's . . . not on the horizon.

I need time to recharge, but I am def open to exploring the setting more. Make sure you're in the discord. You can always feel free to ping me there and ask such things in the future.

>>3368525
Me neither, brother. It's a good feeling
>>
>>3368449
I thought the ending was a bit abrupt. I thought that there'd be more with the other factions, more civ building and intrigue. The Jedi is still out there and this relationship with Vende is not very old to start marrying and stuff. It was a fantastic run, but this ending is completely out of the blue for me and I'm dissappointed honestly.
>>
>>3368449
First of all, thank you TK for the amazing 2 years (probably less if you discount the break but w/e). I'm curious though, on what might happen if:
1. We were defeated at any point during the battle.
2. Vende died defending the last clone body.
3. Oxtroe wasn't chosen as Grand Admiral after Thrawn's attack.
4 Alana joined the jailbait in her coup.

I also would love if you write short stories of the major and minor characters of DE in the future during your leave. My vote for your future quest is a Musket and bayonet quest. Another space quest will be too similar to DE.

Sorry to hear it, man. A big part of it was time for me honestly, I wanted to get to a satisfactory conclusion and not run this quest for another year. Thanks for playing!

>>3368554
Thanks!
1: It would have meant set backs, probably further campaigning. Honestly, the rapid attakc was the best thing you could have done, Waiting longer would have let them prepare and attack Byss. Would have been bad.

2: Vende would be dead, palps would have had a spare giving you some wiggle room up to and including killing yourself to escape

3: That was just handy serendipity. If she was not chosen she would have continued the coup attempt but with less help.

4: Then you guys would have forged a new Empire under your new Empress. I would have played it straight.

>short stories
Not a bad idea. I need a break from Star Wars, but I'd love to. Would you see them if I posted them in the Discord? Not sure where the best place to share would be.

>Musket
Noted. I noticed that a lot of elements of this quest are basically Warhammer 40K things.

>>3368557
>Luke
Yeah basically. I'll think on it and see what I can make

>>3368566
>epilogues
Good calls! Same question, would you see this stuff on Discord? Where would you suggest I post otherwise? It'll likely be a little while.

>>3368571
>Thrawn
"Wtf is this bitch doing?"

More seriously, Thrawn was trying to analyze her tactics and how to basically fake her out before he realized she had NO plan to counter. That basically denied him his ability.

>>3368572
This is probably true.
>>
>>3368571
I think his death said It all about how he felt about us.

"But there was no art to It."

Thrawn was a masterful tactician to be sure, but he played by making sure he had the highest chance to win before the battle, and then playing the enemy Into his hands. Alana Is smart too, but she has some big balls and this last battle she struck fast and decisively and bet It all on a couple risky maneuvers (That Tarkin gambit was a make or break moment for the entire quest, the entire fate of the empire was largely decided by that roll) In a way I don't think Thrawn would be comfortable with.

Very happy with how the final battle went, we bet everything and won, Lobkin was just a fool and our relationship I feel was part of the reason he turned back Is that he trusted us to have his back, that and the sense of betrayal from being used by Oxtroe. Oh that was satisfying too, seeing her break down and spitefully try to kill the emperor (I assume) by ramming the Tarkin. 10/10 would space battle rebel scum again.

You can put my vote for Musket and Bayonet, also an epilogue for Alana’s kids would be nice. What was your biggest regret that you had about this quest?

>>3368609
Ha, no. I genuinely think our father would try to have him assassinated before we could run away with some lowborn ape.

Vells Is best bro In the whole quest, and I'm fine with our relationship and casual fuckbuddy status. Things are good.
>>
>>3368609
Good recipe for Vells to die in a tragic accident choking on his own food, followed by the body mysteriously disappearing before the funeral and C̶h̶r̶i̶s̶t̶i̶a̶n̶ ̶G̶r̶e̶y̶ Amenge's little private museum getting another display case.

>Regret
Honestly, in thinking about this, I think I regret biting off more than I could chew, My vision for this quest (in hindsight) would have taken many more years to run and deserved more time put into it.

I wish I could have done more with the rival imperial factions, and given the Rebs/jedi a more satisfying end.

>tfw Vells was the best boi all along
>>
>>3368625

>>
>>3368625
Yeah, but we all knew that, right? Alana (In my eyes) was attracted by the power he possessed and represented, and was Intoxicated by how he made her feel. He's a good husband for her politically and sexually, but not a good man. This line of thinking Is why Alana would have made a good Sith had she any force potential, thinking In terms of desire rather than stability.

Alana could never have had a perfect fairytale romance. Her other options were Vells and Lobkin, the former doomed by circumstance despite his good qualities and the latter, even If he does have some shred of caring for Alana, Is controlling and from what I remember wanted a pet or a trophy, not unlike Vende.

At least Vende had more to give and Is a far better liar. We can both enjoy what we give each other until our Inevitable deaths. Like a functioning alcoholic, we'll enjoy our poison peacefully until we die.

I suppose If you really *really* want to make a good ending for Alana romantically, have Vende die after giving us children and let her rekindle her romance with Vells and enjoy his company with the Galaxy at peace.

The war ended almost exactly where it began two years ago, with a battle above Coruscant. Congrats for finishing this quest, I remember reading the first thread way back and finding it pretty neat. And thanks for a great run. It felt like it was bogging down a bit in the final third, though that's completely understandable as it's hard to write a satisfying conclusion something to this. I'm sad the showdown with Thrawn never felt as epic as it could have been, though I fully understand why it went like it did.

Will we ever get a sequel starring the republic/luke's events to free the galaxy, maybe a decade down the line? Something to think about though I completely understand IRL is a bitch. And there is something to be said for a writer doing new projects.

And now some generals questions

At what points in the quest were you most caught offguard by the players decisions and had to completely change tack? Which parts were the most enjoyable? If you were to start over from the start, what do you think you would change or incorporate?

Also, what would YOUR ideal star wars quest be about that you played in? How about what kind of imperial game after endor you would like to see yourself? The division between Palpatine and Alana was a pretty good one for having high and "low" level action and decisions, though most people probably wouldn't think of splitting it up like that.

...did all prophecies end up being brought into play that the mad monk foretold? Don't recall if any tied into this final part
whew, sorry for the million questions. Again, thanks for a fun run TK. Hope you had fun too
>>
>>3368581
Can papls die on the Tarkin? What would happen if we defeat the traitors but the Emperor is out of bodies?

>Isard

>>
>>3369003
Also, it occurs to me if you wanted a fun way to do a series of short stories would be having Thrawn's clone from Hand of the thrawn duology waking up ten years after his death in this quest, and he gets briefed by his aides on the state of the galaxy and thrawn does an analysis on the fates of various individuals. Just a thought! One might even have a twist where it turns out the clone's territory has been annexed by palps after reconnecting with the unknown regions and will now work for palps again
>>
>>3368667
This is pretty much my take.

I like to think Alana isn't a totally blind moron. That she for the most part knows what the score is, but weighed her options and deemed it the best choice for herself and future heirs.

However she may be underestimating the impact the Dark Side has, as the Force-blind tend to.

>Bogging down
Absolutely. This was a big reason I felt compelled to push for an ending. I realized a quest like this doesn't really have a satisfying natural climax, galactic conquest would be a slow death for your enemies. Someone else probably could have done better, but not I.

>Sequel
I will never say never. I am way too burned out to do it myself any time soon, but I would probably give my blessing if someone else wanted to try it.

>Caught off guard
Lots of tiny points along the way, hard to recall them all. Showing no interest in Sedriss as an apprentice was surprising to me, forgiving Isard so readily was another surprise. I believe the EMperor leading the attack on Dac surprised me too.

>Enjoyable
I loved any time I impressed you guys. All the "OH SHIT" etc moments really made me feel accomplished. If I could make you start hearing the Star Wars soundtrack in your head, I was happy.

>Start over
I would dramatically streamline the plot, eleminate a lot of the late game warlords in favor of a stronger New Republic.

I would probably not even include Thrawn, I would likely do a straight Emps vs Rebs sort of setup. I would also spend more time on Alana as a lowly ship captain and make my MS paint maps more scalable for the big battles later.

>Ideal star wars quest
Honestly, this Dark Empire mashup is one I've have for years and years, so that. Otherwise I think I'd like to see something smaller scale, about smugglers and balancing a checkbook.

For Imperial quests, maybe something with more ground combat since that got so sidelined in my quest.

>Prophecy
I think they were? The betrayal Hadrazel foretold was Ederlathh, the rest of what he said also came true I think.

>Questions
I love to field them! Makes me feel important.

>Thanks
No, thank you! I had a blast!

>>3369004
It was totally possible. If you'd tried to flee the ship you would have gotten killed.

>No bodies
Then you'll have to grow some more. Unless you're dead, in which case Alana would have to decide who would be the next Emperor. Chosing between herself, Vende, and some bureaucrat like her father probably.

>>3369006
>Thrawn Clone
Honestly, I would love to see that, I might just use that :D

>Quest end

Bit late here but this has been a great quest. Grand Admiral Alana 'The Bloody Duchess' Tyrna, Duchess of Byss, Hero of the Empire I suspect her list of titles will only get longer and more convoluted in the unseen or maybe seen future was very interesting. Not many quests show perspective of someone on 'the bad side' who plays it straight. I'm not on the discord but maybe I'll pop in sometime in the future to see those epilogues if they end up getting written.

Speaking of which, I've got a few epilogue ideas to throw in there, feel free to be inspired or ignore them, as you wish.
>Isaard
>Future Imperial Academy students studying her battles (only the good ones, obviously, the Grand Admiral is infallible, keep the propaganda going, yada yada) and seeing the gradual cultural change in the Navy from her influence
>Hutts
>Alana making people that annoy her recite her increasingly-ridiculous list of titles and nicknames every time they greet her: in the same vein of GoT's Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons.

So long, and thanks for all the orbital bombardments
