Those suits finally had enough of your bullshit and so they kicked your ass out of the Capital and relocated you to the coldest and darkest hole in the Republic.

Say hello to Blairs-Burg, your new home.

You thought that doing good job was good enough, but the bureaucratic leeches had no love for your unique talents.

Wait, what are those talents exactly?

You know a lot about that thing, you are really good at doing that other thing and you are amazing at kicking ass by using that

Now, what are those things?

Of course, when the push comes to shove and the shove comes to you, you can always rely on your trusty weapon of choice - the Shocker Rod, the technologically advanced weapon of the thinking man (which is definitely not just a modified cattle prod)

You even took fencing classes and was damn good at it! Unfortunately they expelled you because you refused to use a sword, since swords are not technologically advanced.

As much as you love thinking about all your amazing talents, it's probably time for you to meet up with the local Police Commissioner and get started with your duties.

"Ooooh thas issy, young miss(?) U jus godown from tha plaformm and doun tha big ol strit, aaaaall tha way to the hart of zis butiful ceetyy of oursz!"

Mayhaps if your thing was being a doctor, you could have known that the man's liver just collapsed and he was now dead.

But you are not a doctor, you are a computer hacker with sick moves!

Now it is time to decide what to do next? Should you go tothe meeting point? Go look for something else? Prepare for those "monsers" somehow? Fourth option??

What do?

(I'll take a small break to get home, but will pick this back up in an hour)

We DON'T know that this man is now dead, as we are not a doctor. Thus, our next action should probably be to utilize the conveniently-located public phone and call this man an ambulance, as something definitely seems very not-healthy about him!

>My childhood was...
A comfortable one. My father was a blood spatter analyst, and my mother was a stay at home teacher. I learned to hack out of interest in seeing what my dad kept on his laptop. I was horribly disappointed when I finally got in.

>Everything changed when...
My mom had an aneurysm and died. My dad wasn't ready to be a single father, and I was too young to raise myself. I wound up in foster care, and was handed twice to abusive foster families. I didn't want it to happen a third time, so I stepped out onto the streets, and there I learned how to evade people that came looking for me. I must have been good at it, because eventually they stopped coming for me.

>The person who inspired me most of all was...
It might sound cheesy, but it was the CG robot host of an action cartoon block on a TV channel for kids. I squatted with an artist for a few years, and I watched a lot of TV while I was with him. During he bumps between episode segments and commercials the block host would usually talk about stuff from the episodes, but on occasion he'd launch into something else. Sometimes it was a review of a new game, sometimes it was talking about a new series that was gonna debut on the block soon... But on the rare occasion, he would give inspiring speeches about not giving up and how to face the new challenges that life throws at you, and that he'd always be there hoping to see you tune in again. For a while, I lived more for him than I did for myself...

Mission 0 is completed (which was mostly just character creation)

Now it is time for Mission 1, where big choices and big dangers start. Maybe we won't die.

Amber spoke:
"Mr (?) Blue! I really enjoy making cool victory poses with you, but I'm afraid we don't have the time for that at the moment! We are in the middle of a sting operation! Allow me to brief you on the details..."

"Our police pinpointed this very building as a hideout spot for a dangerous gang that has been up to all sorts of nasty stuff in the last month!

First, there was a series of strange kidnappings.

Then, they started selling drugs on the streets! But not just any drugs, Cursed Drugs! And they are even worse than normal drugs!

They've been deemed as an Existential Hazard and now it's up to us to stop them! Our goal is to find the source of the Cursed Drugs and make sure it is terminated! And also find and save kidnapped victims!

And we gotta do it now, before that nasty gang figures out that we found them and escapes! We don't have much time, I can only answer a couple of your question and then we gotta go get em, Mr. Blue!"

Looks like you have a couple of questions to ask before starting - these could help a lot!

What should you ask?
>>

How much *unavoidable* collateral damage is acceptable?

Amber is becoming more and more concerned about her new partner.

"Ehm. If that's all the question you had, I think we should start the mission."

But before we start, you should really prepare for the mission ahead.

At the moment you have your trusty Shocking Rod with 5 charges left and a small, fully loaded revolver. And your shoulder is still wounded!

You reach into your bag that holds all your belongings - all 5 of them to be precise.

What 5 objects did you brought with you?

Hip-flask full of what you think is apple juice
And your cool electric lighter with a sick skull design

"Nightmarish abominations beyond the compression of mortals first." - You say.

"Well that's rude! And kinda racist. If we survive through today we gonna be partners, you know, you might as well try to be nicer, Mr. Blue!"

Amber walked to the exploded room, annoyed by your rude behavior. There she saw about what she expected to see

>>3391973

There you see a longer room cluttered with various boxes and barrels.

A second later both of you hear voices coming from the upstairs.

"HOLY SHIT WHAT WAS THAT" "Gary! Gary! Are you guys still there?"

You hear a sound of about six angry bad guys stomping and screaming from upstairs, going in the direction of the stairs.

As you turn around to say sorry to Amber, you realize that she's gone! No time to think about that though - you can hear that the men are already at the first floor.

You hide behind one of the boxes and take out the gun, determined to finally get to shoot something today!

(This is actually the first time you got your hands on a real gun, too. Musashi-San didn't allow you to have guns, since he said that swords are superior)

A second after you hid behind the the box, the bad guys have entered the room. The door that was closed also opened and one more bad guy walked from it. (Turns out it was connected to the stairs room)

"Zlatov, go check if someone used the hatch! Everyone else - spread out and search!"

...what will you do?

(Also, is there a better way to choose an option rather than just taking the first anon to respond? I'm new to quests)
>>
>>3392206

You could offer options, but I don't think those are super necessary in a drawquest and it can be more fun to go totally off the rails instead.

Usually I just go for the most popular vote. If there is no popular vote, I'll try to mix together prompts, taking and dropping stuff from different posts to advance the plot.
>>
>>3392206
Shoot them. Start by the guy that's getting closer and then the one with the gun.

About two meters before the tunnel ends you kick against the wall, do 3 spins in the air, fly into the opposite floor on which you do a gallant wallrun right into a double front flip, safely landing on the ground without sustaining any damage

It's a good thing you have Sweet Moves as one of your skills.

Amber quitly crawls down the tunnel, landing next to you

"Good job, Amber" You say

"Ah, yeah, you too..."
She doesn't show it, but her face spells awe and amazement

It's a vision of your sensei, back from the training days, explaining to you basic and very vague mechanics of this game!

"Listen closely, Bebe! This could save your life!

There are two kinds of people in this world - Goons and Straight Up Killas! Goons are basic hoes who even you can defeat easily - just make sure they don't have any situational advantage or overwhelming numbers!

But Killas are different! They are real fighers with real Stats and Skills like you! Victory with them is never guaranteed! Use your head, eyes and everything else you have at your disposal!
