War rages across the Wine-Dark Sea as the coalition of the Iron King, Belinlos and the Olamir Republic seek to shatter the hegemony of the Wine-Dark Empire. In the north Bojmor has fallen being completely reduced to slag under Kinslayer's fire however the mighty city of Bloodsoil still holds as the Continental Legion reinforces the Protectorate forces. In your own territory a militia and remaining defenders have broken the main offensive Olamir force buying enough time for your main army to return! The ball is now firmly in your corner, it is time for you to take the offensive!
What will you do?

Returned Army:
5 Legions
40 Quadrimes
Sea Reaver
Bal
600 marines
2 Krakens
1/2 Warlocks

Surviving Forces from last battle:
1,000 Legionaries
6,00 Rayan Raiders
7,000 Veteran Militia
>>
>>3488794
We should end the olamiri forces if we can
>>
>>3488794
Deploy our army to Bojmor to face the Thulean-Belinlos host. Olamir’s army is broken and Bloodsoil defeated a Belinlos offensive so that leaves the Iron Kings host as the main threat.

It is decided that half the fleet shall blockade Olamir whilst the rest of it accompanies the main army to reinforce the Protectorate against the Thulean-Belinlos Army. When the Emperor and his forces finally link up the with main army a great cheer is had as he hugs the Stormseer and greets the many lords. The journey to Sollus' Point is uneventful but when you arrive you find the city in complete ruins having been completely razed to the ground with only the twisted stone remains of it's castle standing. It seems you are too late and it is likely that they are marching up the river towards Bloodsoil at this very moment! What will you do?

The fleet sails back to the small city of Thresu, a place known for it's fine silver-works and begin unloading the army. However an advanced scout quickly reports that the Thulean-Belinlos Army is not marching towards Bloodsoil but instead marching on Thresu! Will you prepare your defenses or meet them in the field? The coalition army numbers 10,000 with support of several types of strange large creatures and the progenitor dragon Kinslayer!

What is your plan?

Prepare ballistas and install some of them in the highest places of the city. They will have some mages for making them faster to rotate and "charge" the darts. The rest prepare and use fortifications, put out some scouts for see from which direction are coming.

Prepare a body of men for meet in battle the Iron King and is elite retinue. Some mages will need to prepare themself for fight the ones of Belinlos too.

Organize supplies and put the civilians out of any house near the walls.

The city is a hub of activity as the army scramble to build fortification with new walls, trenches and stakes being set up. The walls of the city are old and crumbling with the local senate having neglected their repair for years in order to line their own pockets. However you still have the advantage or at least as much as you can have against a massive dragon. When the army finally arrives a messenger is sent forth bearing terms.

Terms:
-Cede everything on the north bank of the Central River up to Bloodsoil to Belinlos
-Cede Dragon's Graveyard and the North Sea islands to the Iron King
-Pay 3 wealth of tribute to Belinlos every year for ten years
-Pay 3 wealth of tribute to the Iron King every year for ten years
-You will be allowed to do whatever you please with Olamir and Dosmir.

With this the great army begins to move preparing siege weapons and resting. They seem to be making no moves to assault the city at all?

What will you do?

Then prepare a hundred men each to put on ships and attack from two directions at night the back of the great north army.

The moon is covered by thick clouds as the party makes their way across no man's land. The first sentinels fall to the bone blades of Krengralf while Jackoran Isaacs notices a gap in the walls caused by the massive weight of a passing troll. It is Asher Yoresh and Uriel Seastorm that earn the true victory as they remember the old stories that tell that the Iron King is no man but instead a slight women with silver hair. They catch her unawares whilst taking a bath Tulip Vanluz and Senevi Hirror cutting down her guards in a short but brutal fight. Binding the women up they make their way back across the night and into Thresu!

Shem rewards each man with the women's weight in gold along with a new lordship to be decided upon after the war.

With such an impressive hostage the war is over, the Thuleans even pay a massive tribute of wealth to regain their King and the armies of Belinlos slink back to their borders. With Bojmor and Sollus' Point destroyed the Senate of Bloodsoil seeks to finally join with the Empire.

The states of Dosmir and Olamir have little choice but to also surrender completely to your mercy. It is said that Ifit has given up and taken some of his worshipers to seek refugee in the East.

Both Olamir and Dosmir will need to accept immediatly our priests and they will be annexed.

Emperor Shem was offered mercy to both Olamir and Dosmir executing only the eldest of their noble families alongside all the traitors that existed in Samir. Peace once again reigns across the Empire with many new lords being raised and existing ones having their lands expanded. Salvitas has made some deal with the Emperor to remain independent that he will not share.

This year has been one of great celebration and construction! First off the massive Everwood Wall was completed after construction was halted during the war! It now stands as a true bulwark against those insidious woods! Meanwhile money has been poured into constructing new temples on Olamir and Dosmir. The cities of Bojmor and Sollus’ Point also see a massive influx of money into rebuilding these once great ports.

However things are not all cheery as the Emperor’s wife and young son who were sent to the Eagle Princedom for safety have not returned with many nobles speaking of them being held as hostages.

It is a tight fit as no ship is made to carry Moonblighter's bulk. You have accomplished your mission and saved the Empress and heir but also completely destroyed relations with the Eagle Princedom.

Having gained a new perspective regarding the more unsavory aspects of his own character, Esau attempts further development in his southern lands without the use of slavery.
Thus, over the past decade he has attempted to bring the southern pygmies up to the same standard as their northern counterparts, rather than see them enslaved. While no doubt the pygmies are inferior, Esau wishes to spread the way of his forefathers, who let the pygmies carry on their native traditions and live peacefully, without the fear of slave drivers. However, those who stray from Galoris or the law will still be punished, but punished by people of their own kind. This will all be overseen by Scarlettans!

Fp:

A new order dedicated to bring law and security, was to be born in the city. The Neas would have never accepted the presence of criminals in their home, and thugs would have not an easy life in picking from the honest citizens.

Like the warriors of the order of the silver shield they will learn Neas traditions but they will be more religious than them, devoted to Galoris. They shall have a new hall attached to the one of heroes, the one of Justice; here the walls will be depicted with scenes of peace and security on the streets of Neas Hope.

Bringing Security and Law would have been their mission, and in time of war they would have organize the defenses of the city.

The duty given to them was to be done in both active and passive ways; interventions and patrols in the streets or places suspected of crime, and in giving a greater standard of training and discipline to the town guard, other than being an example for the citizenry.

Their training will be harsh, but through their duty and faith they would have reach their mission. They would also be instructed in fighting without weapons or armors.

Their equipment would have been one to permit an advantage in the difficult and fast fights in the streets and especially the runs for taking fugitives.

For their tools some of their warriors would have : five javelins attached to a small shield, a iron stick with beak for grab a thug arm or leg, and a one hand axe with a iron head and in the back a sphere of tough wood wrapped in wool. The reason of the sphere of wood was for stun without killing the criminal.

Others of them instead of having this uncommon axe, the small shield and the javelins would have a two handed battle axe for bring the fury of the order to this rats.

For armor it would have been heavy with good iron protecting their torso, head, knees and elbows. Their armour would have been decored with scales and the helm would have details for represent different fishs.

Each pieces of both their armors and weapons, would have been commisioned to have small runes of wind for boost the agility and speed of this courageous warriors.

They would have been the rays of light that bring security, they would have reflect the law and Galoris divinity. Their name shall be the Order of the Silver Rays. Bring Law and Security for Neas, give it to the city of my ancestors !

They have been abandones by their god Iffrit and are without any try guidance in life. The priests will preach about the many glorious deeds that have been achieved undee the light of Galoris! For was it not that the Lightwatchers came to the rescue of the Samiri state when the Lord of Carrion rampaged with his horde acroas Samir. The sacrifices that were made by both the Samiri and the men of Loslina have created a bons between them and the men of Olamir and Dosmir will be preached to about this.

Olamir has everything it needs to become a center of industry. Iron, people, and a river. Using the designs of the Carregs we will construct factories along the river to enhance the smithing industry of Olamir. Unlike in Copal, here there is a proper source of Iron that will provide what we need to produce tools, weapons, and whatever else is necessary. With the development of factories, industry on Olamir will surge.

Unlike the Savages in the south, we are a place of economic advancement and progress. I'll even lower taxes a bit IF I CAN AFFORD TO DO SO, to lighten the load on the newly conquered peoples, and just improve quality of life.

The Northern Pygmies have zealously taken to impressing their liege lords by oppressing the Southern Pygmies. Somehow they learnt of the Shinebringer families fondness for stakes and many the corpse of a disobedient pygmy now adorns the walls of their villas.

It is only with the help of the more empathetic Neorah family that the Northern pygmies are brought into line and the lives of their southern brethren respected. Bringing up the standard of living all over the island.

While you do manage to create a fine governors palace and education buildings the creation of roads on the island is near impossible due to it's swampy and craggy nature. The local citizens have also boycotted your education and think of you as a foreign occupier.

>>3493714
Your people spread across the new lands of Olamir enjoying the new forests to call home. The fairly stagnant population is now booming with many of the locals joining in your ways seeing you as an alternative to joining Lightwatcher culture.

>>3494711
Your expedition goes well except in the lands of the former Protectorate as many of the peasants claim you are servants of Tarrex lynching several of your members!

>>3494811
It seems the better knowledge you have of the creature you are working on the greater ease you have with life magic. Using some rather unethical methods your knowledge on the human body has increased considerably. With this you are able to with enough diamonds properly regrow a limb or restore vision to a blind man.

>>3495059
Great Temples are raised on both Olamir and Dosmir. The priests have begun to gather congregations but it will take a long time to convert these very stubborn populations.

>>3495076
With little for the wishes of these agrarian people you set about flooding the Veril River with factories that churn out all manner of iron tools and weapons. The amount of workers on the mine nearly triples to supply the demand of your workers and the river itself runs murky on the busiest of days. Olamir thrums with the fires of industry but the people still chafe under the ruler-ship of their foreign overlord.
>>
>>3511102
It seems the Gotti boars have not forgotten the bond with man they once had. Your men find that the best war boars are the wild ones that require a men to ambush and ride them for several minutes before they accept the rider as their master. Many of your warriors have begun to seek out these boars as a status symbol as the wild forests of Gotti supply vast lands for the boars to roam.

Dragon's Graveyard slowly develops the mains settlement being a place of synthesis between Lightwatcher and Thulien culture. The Thul introduce you to several crops such as Cabbage, Onions, Beets and Potatoes.
>>
Your fleet managed to sail quickly and return to the safety of the Wine-Dark Sea. Shem is very thankful at the return of his wife and son but is very worried about the ramifications with the Eagles. They have made no formal declaration of war but trade has completely stopped and all trade ships into the Starless Sea have failed to return.

In other news a delegation has arrived from the strange underground kingdom that exists beneath Umbra! This Kingdom of Bartia is made up of survivors of old Erulia that were protected by the spirit Bartus in his tunnel system. They wish to open trade and cultural exchange even proposing an eventual military alliance against Tarrex who has also invaded their underground domain.

News has also trickled in that the worshippers of Ifit have found refugee in the remains of the Golden Empire teaching the Easterns our ways of war.

Alongside the creation of the new continental legion, there will be two new minor reform :

- Giving better equipment and training to the local militia

- Increasing some more the payment of the legionaries, for doubling training drills and marchs alongside instal far more discipline than the past.
>>
>>3511180
Please scratch that. Apparently there's a new plan.

Every Island with the exceptions of Dosmir and Olamir (And I suppose that small prison island too but that should go without saying as they are too smol) will get another Island Legion. They'll be named 2nd Loslina, 2nd Copal, 2nd Merli, and so on.

The size of the Continental Legion shall be doubled to 10 thousand men. The military remnants of Olamir shall be transferred to the continental legion. The everwood will sort them out.

Also increase the navy by 15 Quadriremes.

The Council and Emperor agree that the military needs to be expanded with the veterans of the Protectorate being formed into a second continental legion along with 15 new quadriremes being built. The treasury however has taken a large hit with much of the plunder gathered in previous wars being sold and the without the trade with the Starless Sea taxes are much lower than before. The Emperor also takes the suggestion of Lord Balder Aline to rename the Everwood Wall to “Crel’s Wall” in memory of the sibling of Dissus and rename the forts along the wall Octavian, Aresius and Koriander similarly in memory of our empire’s past heroes.

In other news a ship for the Heavenly United Kingdom has arrived asking for you to send honour your treaty and send a force to help defend them against the Iceborn who have launched an assault to sieze their home island.

In local news the worship of Dissus has begun to spread among the various town guards of the Empire with the servant being seen as the patron of all who uphold the law.

The treasury groans as the army is doubled in size leaving you with a standing army of 28,000 legionnaires. The Emperor is worried as a defensive war has no spoils that can be used to boost the coffers though if the Iceborn are defeated trade with the East should once again flow.

In local news the potato is becoming a popular crop all over the Wine-Dark Empire!

In foreign news the United Heavenly Kingdoms report that the Iceborn offensive has crushed their fleet and this is likely the last message that will get out.

At the end of the year a report returns from your expedition telling of the successful defense of the Heavenly Kingdoms! Lead by Lord Radiant Talnai Seastorm the navy focused on destroying the smaller raider ships and slaying the great sea beasts that towed the floating iceberg fortresses of the Iceborn. They have also properly secured the sea lane back to the Wine-Dark Empire allowing trade to properly flow. The Iceborn may be cowed by this defeat but are far from broken.

In local news several maidens have been born with deep sea green hair and espoused to have been blessed by the touch of Galoris.

From the far south the DA GREAT KHAN has reported strange ghostly ships skulking around his islands.

Steel is created by the combination of iron and cool in an impressive furnace called a bloomery. We learn the techniques from the Jaguar Enclave who are happy to share after receiving a large gift of gold. With water powered Carreg Hammer and these new bloomery forges steel production for use in weapons and tools has spread across the Empire with weapons of steel being a direct upgrade from simple iron.

Interesting news has come from the East, it seems Ifit and his followers have made a name from themselves defeating an Iceborn raiding force and are quickly rising in prestige at the court of the Golden Empire.

The Batrians have also requested a simple defensive alliance to protect against the aggression of Belinlos.

In news from the South the Pygmy islands and the Bone Eater Khandom have reported famines as their population growth has outstripped their ability to produce food.

There is a terrible storm after the sacrifice, one that wracks the entirety of the Wine-Dark Sea. The day after the lights of Galoris shine with such brilliance that on Loslina it seems as if the sun never sets! From the waters at the bottom of the cliff a figure in the green armour of Galoris emerges wielding a blade of red energy give form. A titanic ancient crab emerges behind him as he looks to address the gathering crowds! His voice booms across the water and seems drill into the very soul of the onlookers!

“I AM TORSUS THE DROWNED! I HAVE BEEN REBORN BY THE WILL OF GALORIS WITH A SINGLE MISSION! WITHIN THE EVERWOOD LIES AN ARTIFACT OF GREAT POWER THAT OUR FAIR GODDESS REQUIRES! BY HER AUTHORITY YOU SHALL MARCH WITH ME TO ACQUIRE IT! THE ARTIFACT IS CURRENTLY WITHIN THE INSIDIOUS GRASP OF BEASTMAN CALLED GOODTHINKER IN HIS BASTION UPON THE GREAT RIVER! MARCH WITH ME TO DEATH IN THE NAME OF OUR LADY!”

The Holy Tide of Galoris is prepared with the two Continental Legions. There however has been a great problem of desertion from the Island legions with over 10,000 men gathering at the rally point without being called. Every single one of the great houses of the Wine-Dark Empire has sent men armed with their most treasured artifacts to undertake this great crusade! The men are in good spirits once again after the beast has been slain even if guard duty is a near endless assault of monsters! Fire seems to be the only thing most creatures fear with many only taking damage from spell enchanted blades, massive bonfires roar to life during the night casting away the darkness and requiring near constant tending. This march is far from over and Brightlord Consus once again orders the march!

Give me 3d100!

You begin to see the first sign of beastmen with skirmishers happening between your scouts and theirs. They obviously have a home field advantage but your superior training and command structure allows you to respond to threats with greater speed. It is with this that Teek Soul-Blade is first sighted slaughtering a whole troop of legionaries by himself. His band of gibbering lunatics inflicting grievous causalities on your troops. He seems to always withdraw to the south, maybe trying to draw you away from the Profane Fortress!

The march is finally over as you reach the massive clearing around the Profane Fortress. In years past men sailing up the Great River found only ruins with beastmen squatters it has been transformed into a true fortress! For at least two kilometers around the castle trees have been cleared back, the castle itself being ringed with walls made out of massive tree trunks and a series of trenches run all around it. Black walls of stone still jut out inside the wooden fortification showing that even the castle has been repaired. You can see a hundred forgefires burn within it's walls and thousands of beastmen stand ready on it's walls! A great booming voice echoes across the battlefield!

"YOU THINK YOU CAN COME TO GOODTHINKA'S HOME AND KILL HIS MEN! YOU GOT ANOTHA THINK COMING! I GONNA FEAST ON YA BONES!"
