Last thread you moved to finally end the presence of chaos in this station and are currently embroiled in the bloody struggle for victory.

The loss of the ranger line shows across the field as slowly but surely the dark vanguards fall before the rapid strikes of the templars as chainswords whirr in the melee alongside the heavy squad splitting advances of captain oberon and his guard as terminators crush all before them.

As the templars advance you lose transfer to a more command centric role as you route vox information from the mechanicus channels to alongside the templar channel within your helm as you shout orders to initiates across the line as boltfire smacks into weakened portions of the line implanting dozens of shells into rust coated vanguards and warp touched ruststalkers.

But chaos it seems has not spent its full strength just yet as in a lightning flash an entire squad of templars and nearby skitarri are suddenly embroiled in a boiling bolt of warpflame as you snap your head above.

more warpflame bolts smack into the skitarri as from above the commander from the biologis comes with warpfire glowing from its skin as the titanic form falls.

the great heretek rears around knocking its own men aside in its movements as it towers above even astates in height.

A hole in its face rips open as a deafening screech erupts.

"YOU DARE DESTROYYY MYYY CREATTTIONS! I SHALLL HAVVEE YOURR FLESHHH INNN THE NAMMMEE OFF THE OMNISSSSIAH"
The mechanical lord screams out its howling demands in rage and hatred as it lifts is bloody axe and swings into the line.

The charge of the last priest reverberates through the line as blasts of damned sorcery sear through dozens of skitarri and roast your brothers in their own carapace as the wrath of the dark omnissiah radiates across the field in all ways as the damned vanguards move faster and harder as tesla weapons can be seen across the line sparking wildly as modified spears shoot deadly arcs as techno heresy shows itself in every thrust and swipe as even your brothers begin to have their pace slowed as armour shudders and cogitators slow under electric might.

as the battle devolves into the deadly blur before the renewed dark mechanicum you raise your bolter and roar orders our as you deliver as much fire into the priest as is possible as your shots impact into its metal hide as your commanded tactical squads fire their own bolters shattering the priests limbs and concentrating boltfire to end the beast.

however in response to the fire the warpfire bolts slow as a great psy shield erects itself as you find your barrages slowed and shells are blocked with growing frequency as more attention is spared by the beast to its life.

"BROTHER WULFRIK!"
Captain oberon shouts over the vox.
"Keep the priest harried and distracted while i and the brethren shall move to silence it!"

With a small affirmation over the vox you ready the bolter once more as you see the terminators crash towards the damned priest.

Letting loose a barrage searing shots leap across the field trailing smoke and fire as they slam into the shield and metal alike as the purple hue of the warp grows stronger with every blow as the shield gains to the attacks misfortune as every blocked blow is another tendril of lashing lightning lost from the priests enhanced blows.

as the priest turtles to block the sheer amount of bolt coming from both your own heavy bolter and the initates heavy and standard bolters alike the captain wages a bloody spear to the priest itself as meters are closed in minutes as power fists shatter blackened metal and demolish false symbols of chaos before the might of mankind alongside the captains own blows as his power swords rips heads and limbs off from bodies in rapid blows as cuts and weaves rip apart the skitarri as even the nimble ruststalkers seem like bumbling grox before the captains skill.

neverthless the captain closes and the priest gives up the illusion of strength as it ceases all offensive warpfire attacks and raises its axe to face the captain as the shield begins to completely block 9 of 10 shots coming its way.

The priest screams in binary and lowers its axe as the captain rolls out of the way and spears its arm ripping cogitators from inside as the honour guard bash into the side with the force of demigods.

The duel moves into a frenzy of movement and wrath as the captain's blade rips through metal and flesh alike with the disintegration field blazing in full intensity.

The Immaterium writhes and grows around the fight with every blow scored by your templar brothers as climaxing when oberon makes a daring play and weaves aside a great swing of the axe as it crashes tu the ground splitting mortal ears with the force of the blow oberon manages to cut his own blade into the priests chest ripping a bloodly hole through both symbols of the dark and the metal exterior as the innards of the beast are unleashed as warpfire blows from within as the daemontech is emerged and vunerable as oberon readies his sword a final time as his guard move to assist with fists charged.

The terminators smash like a hammer into the priests sides as metal buckles under the might of the sons of dorn fists burning with wrath and ruin as oberon moves to aid his brothers as his blows rain upon the beast with dozens of ruinous slashes ripping cogitators and servoes from the beast and further strikes ripping out at least one of its hearts as machine and flesh fly out in bloody spurts of gore as oberon delivers a brutal two handed blow directly to the beasts chest.

however no matter the might of the sons of dorn the priest has not finished its fight yet as it silences its shield as boltfire slams true across it but the monster manages to fulfil its aim as purple fire erupts across the priest as flesh knits back together and the baleful heat of the warp roars from the wounded orifices of the priest as its axe is raised from the ground now burning much as its wielder with the flame of the dark omnissiah as it is swung ready for vengeance and to bring death.

The air parts as the priest makes blows rain unto the field as within seconds oberon leaps to the best of his mobility out of a wrathful swing just for a brother terminator to catch the tail end as tons of heavy armour is sent flying back as the astartes flies in his armour by the force of the blow shooting across the field until he lands crushing skitarri underneath as his plate shudders open with his flesh with carapace cracked and right heart sliced into pieces.

as the first brother falls you move to aid alongside your kin as the barrage opens anew but now aided by incoming spurts of tesla fire as the chaos infantry begins to disintegrate from battalions into squads and now lone individuals standing alone against the loyal mechanicum.

the incoming barrage allows oberon and his guard the time they desperately need as swinging warp powered blows are either dodged with ease or set off course by your own personal bolter salvo as high explosives detonate on all parts of the priest as flesh and metal heals just out of range of the damage being done as plate and bone is slowly whittled down as oberon dodges and terminators attack to defeat the champion of the gods at his most deadly.

The smoke of the battle blooms ever higher as fire erupts in an inferno as boltshells hammer into the priest as his flesh desperately tries to heal but finds its quest in vain as dozens of boltshells not only find their marks but the end of the chaos forces brings the firepower of countless mechanical cohorts as across the field the priest swings his axe to finish brothers off as it bears down on their heads just for the catastrophic explosion to knock it back as the kataphron breachers score a direct hit sundering its plate completely and leaving the dark mechanicum priest once treasured implants molten slag burning into what remains of his flesh.

the long barrage bashes the beast into a corner as oberon slowly walks towards the monster dust slowly swirling beneath his steps.

"in the name of Dorn and He on terra i have come to purge your ilk and free mankind from the predations of your foul gods"
Oberon speaks as he strides and readies his blade as he rears it back and slices direct into the priests chest.

As the sword enters the feverish sound of warpfire roars across the field as all nearby brothers are blown under the force and the captain goes flying meters as he scratches the floor by the sheer force of the eruption.

as the smoke clears all that is left is the dimming eyes of the priests skull. denied glory it seems by any of its gods.

im going to write choices and decisions in full on tomorrow and the weekend but hey heres the arrival at the fleet at least.
The immaterium flickers out of existence as the cruiser exits the hellish realm of the warp reality restarting itself in an instant as metal is slowly stretched into existence as bulkheads and hull form into the cold void.

as the purple rage of the warp fades sensors snap into action as the eternal crusader surges through orbit like a wolf shadowed constantly by a pack of stalwart cruisers and deadly escorts as gladius pattern frigates and firestorms watch all directions with cannons and lance watching your approach.

the great black bastion of the crusader shines through the view screens as the cruiser attaches like a pup to its mother a dwarf before the giant gloriana class.

You stand in the hall behind the captain as part of the last dozen sword brethren still alive and unwounded enough to stand guard as you stride behind the captain through the airlock and into the hangar of the crusader and your eyes spot your brothers as dozens of your kin stand at parade rest to receive you back from the eternal crusade.

Striding past your brothers oberon remains fixed at the rear of the room and soon your eyes follow his as well as standing at the rear is a man standing strong with what seems like hundreds of marks and medals on his plate and the signature crozius of the chaplaincy stands in his hand.

"Greetings Captain oberon i trust your crusade has been well?"
"our service to the emperor has been fulfilled for now chaplain Grimaldus but we return wounded and weakened."
"you are returning weakened but not yet defeated however Captain.Come now and share the tales of your victories your company can rest but the high marshal wishes to discuss your battles in detail."

With a single nod Oberon dismisses you as you follow the senior sword brethren as the procession is joined as full ranks of templars return to their duties leaving only a dedicated core leading you to solace and food.

The incense soaked air parts as Oberon strides alongside the chaplain towards the heart of the crusade.
dozens of brothers are passed as they stand on parade with sword held in hand and bolter loosely held on leg ready to respond to any threat that may appear.

As the captain walks the display pleases him to see the vaunted discipline of the templars still holding within the walls of the eternal crusader.

Nevertheless parading is hardly what he sought to accomplish here and soon his aim is reached as the great black doors of the inner bastion rise to the ceiling as stone inscriptions on the door show all from the start of the templars with the banishment of Sigismund to the latest crusades and victories in his name.
The great door opens with a groan as Oberon strides in.
Ahead is a man coated with darkest black but interspersed by the gold and silver of medals and decorations.
turning to face Oberon the helmed head of the high marshal looks at the captain with a stoic gaze as he nods to grimaldus as the chaplain walks away and sits at the command table.
With a motion from the high marshal a oberon is seated as well as the high marshal walks over and sits in his stone throne laying his sword on his lap and opening his lips.

"captain Oberon i judge this is not a return bearing news of defeat?"
"never high marshal we have deployed and cut through the greenskins at Armageddon before we moved to face the daemons of the blood god followed by a ruthless siege of the dark mechanicum stronghold around a gas giant.
"we heard as much from nearby astropaths with Armageddon even as much as to receive a gift of equipment on request from forge world Metallica after your assistance in recovering their fallen titans."

Eventually though the group comes to a titanic set of doors as closer inspection reveals countless templar insignia and markings as the chapter words are inscribed in solid gold in the center.

as the door opens your senses are assaulted by sheer smell as you walk inside the hall.

hundreds of initiates sit in a titanic hall as a million varieties of food sit from the richest grox meat to purest Mjod from fenris.

At the far end of the call a marine stands and shouts in your direction.
"WELCOME WELCOME it is good to see our brothers returned! come sit! and eat for there is plenty to heal the exhaustion levied on your bodies in service to mankind."
The captains speech blurs your brothers into action as they split off and begin seating or talking to old friends as you decide to.

Azikiel nods and lowers his head in agreement before pulling a nearby serf for directions to the training cages before turning back to the food.

With the chaplaincy sated and your brothers finishing their own inspections you follow and enter than main recluisiam and the attending chaplain directs you to what the company is allowed to take.

passed out just dead on my feet last night so heres the update a bit late.

The reclusiam opens its gates and its bounty is revealed as the chosen weapons are revealed for examination.

Firstly the crackling fire of thunder sounds as you smash the hammer into the target.the great weight is naught to an astartes as the twin handed hammer devastates the concrete target with reinforced ceramite coverings doing naught to stop the disintegration field and the brutal punch of the hammer.
Placing the weapon down you examine it and find all up to spec from the central heraldry of the templars etched into the hammer end to the engravings of deeds done in the handle

Next the grav cannon is brought for examination as on the ranges serfs ready a plethora of mock targets from cultists to even a metal mockup of a Ork machine.
With a flick of the safety you fire the beam of the cannon and in response the cultist is surrounded by the field and short swings of the cannon force it to follow as it floats seemingly unopposed by physics.
With another flick you turn the cannon on repulse mode as within milliseconds the cultist is launched backwards and smashes through the warmachine and bashes a hole behind into the range walls with the sheer force unleashed by the cannon.
Further testing reveals the grav cannon as being more of a thether and then launch weapon as apposed to more creative interpretations and its weight limit is about the size of a mock wraithguard or hive tyrant.

The next round of testing involves the vaunted storm shield as the terminator favoured defence is subjected to it being a target instead as bolt turrets raise from the floor and fire at the shield down the range.
The shield takes no issue and eats hundreds of bolts without issue either bouncing them off or simply being too hard to pierce.
The turrets spool down as the next weapon is brought out.

The relic blade is a true masterpiece indeed and burned residue show that the blade even may have had a long service outside templar hands as well.
nevertheless gold engravings of sigismunds oaths cover the handle and litanies cover the blade as you move and grasp it.

Targets raise again but this time limited servitor intelligence allows movement as you dash onto the field.

with scarcely a second passed the meters thick bastion of concrete and ceramite is gone from existence with nothing but rubble remaining as the shot soared from the barrel and breached into the center of the target before unleashing its thermal energy and blasting rubble countless directions as the target is erased from existence.
The searing heat of the subthermal cannon is deadly indeed and soon flesh targets are brought onto the range for testing as the refuse from the feasts onboard is before you for destruction.
with a single pull the refuse is erased as all you see before impact is every single part of the outside meat and vegetation catching aflame at once before the entire range bursts into light as multiple tons of material is burning in an instant and the searing heat blows nearby serfs over as they run to cover searing their flesh as well.

the volkite arm is the best thermal arm mankind has produced and its shots seem almost like a handheld nuclear arm as its deadly effects erase all before it.
truly only the fact that these are so rare is all that has stopped mankind from achieving its dominance already.

With a nod to the chaplain and rangemaster you leave the reclusiams private range and with brothers falling in behind you move towards.
