Cover-art kindly provided by our noble artiste, Draw-anon, who generously took time off repainting the Sistine Chapel for us. Look upon our prettyboy protagonist. Look upon his devilish smile and despair.

In last thread’s episode of One Piece Genuine Pirate Quest, you wake up to find you’d actually eaten a Devil Fruit and BECOME A GOD AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... ha... haha. Right. Aside from your newfound electrical powers, you also revealed your still-aliveness to the Strawhats, found a massive golden bell (plus some weird old writing), took some lovely snaps for the scrapbook, and said goodbye to your precious snek child. Then you tried to run away and throw yourself off the edge of the Sky Islands, probably for the meme. Your traumatised Eternal Rival, Zoronoa Roro, or whatever it is, came to stop you, with swords. And maybe words. But mostly swords.

We now return you to your scheduled idiocy.
>>
>ugh, whatever

Common sense. Ick. Ew. Ugh. “... Fine. I'll ask Conis for a different way down.” Maybe you should do this ‘basic research’ thing. It works for paperwork. Maybe it’ll work for other stuff. You doubt it, but at least no-one can complain you didn’t try. You look away from your Eternal Jerk, huffing. “I'm only coming back because you guys will be a pain if I don't.”

Zoro sighs, relief obvious, though he does’t lower his swords just yet. Noodle gives a low hiss though, reluctantly turning at your words to head back to shore. “I don’t care about your reasoning. Just don’t make Chopper upset.”

.... Yeah, okay, that’s a good priority. Poor Doctor Cutie.

Zoro eyes you warily a little more, before finally removing the third sword and sheathing it, then the second. The first remains at hand, though at least not pointed at you. “We’re not going to have to restrain you, are we?”

>how dare you, etelnar livar

“Of course not! Just because I’m the kind of guy who jumps out of the sky doesn’t mean I go back on my word.” You pull yourself up to your full one-cm-higher-than-him height, fixing Zoro with a look of insulted disgust.

“... Right.” He glances over to where the Strawhats are becoming clearer, apparently calmed down now they can see you’re returning. “I’m gonna tell Chopper to check you for head injuries, though.”

You suppose that might be a valid concern if a random person had happened to fling themselves out of the sky. Or a Logia who hadn’t actually confirmed if he could turn into Lightning, you guess.

“My head’s fine, you mutter instead, as Noodle slithers closer to the shore.

“HAS HE STOPPED BEING NUTS?” Thanks, Sanji.

“FOR NOW,” Zoro calls back. You’re not sure if that’s an insult or not. You glare at him anyway, just in case, before the rocky shore comes close enough that the pair of you can jump off the giant snake-boat.

Gah. You really need to get down, sthe last time anyone heard from you, Nico had just found out your identity, and then... then you never called back. Probably not good.

The assorted Strawhats - Strawbrat himself, Sanji, Nico and Chopper, apparently take your sudden fleeing in reasonably good stead as you’re escorted back to the Merry, apart from Chopper insisting on knowing whether you received any head-injuries.

... You’ve apparently been put on a watchlist of ‘idiot who might do dangerous shit, watch out in case he commits suicide via dumbassery’, judging by the way at least one person seems to conveniently linger around you almost constantly, even after you’re back on the ship.

Great.

How about light and fluffy meringue instead? I nearly jumped off a cloud. Here's a cloud like desert.

>become CHEF

“Hey.”

The scent of cigarette smoke would have told you who was there even if you hadn’t heard Sanji coming. You look across to where he leans against the railing, ever so casual, watching the others fix up Merry, fail to fix up Merry (Strawbrat), or try to get Strawbrat under control. “Yeah?”

“I need to start getting meals ready for the ladies.” He waves the smoke away. “Maybe the guys too, I guess. Want to help?”

... He’s being oddly... pleasant? Not that he’s normally an asshole or anything, but Sanji’s a brusque kind of person, to men at least. Does he think you’re gonna run off and fling yourself off a cloud again?

“Yeah, okay.” Screw it, it gives you something to do. Although you’ve probably paid your way anyway, with the whole god-killing, ship-crashing stuff.

His eyes gleam. “Perfect! There’s a lot of prep to do, get your ass in the galley and wash up.”

... That’s more normal.

The galley isn’t exactly running low on food, especially meat - someone clearly went out hunting earlier - but the selection is obviously a bit more sparse than before. Sanji’s all business, but he’s good enough to teach you even as he works, before casually offering you the chance to pick the dessert.

Oh Seasus, you’re really being treated with cotton gloves, aren’t you? You try to jump to your apparent death ONE TIME, and everyone thinks you’re mentally unstable.

>81 + 19 Cooking = 100 woooooooo, poor kickdad

(Cooking +1!)

“Angel cake seems like a good fit for a sky island,” you innocently suggest, even as your inner troll claws its way to the surface. “A meringue topping would be good...”

“Meringue is kind of hard for a beginner, but I’ll be here, so...” Sanji rubs his chin, eyes flicking over the galley. “Yeah, okay. I’ll find a good recipe for you to follow, hold on.”

Apparently having memorised where literally every recipe is in every book, he pulls together an appropriate recipe out in seconds, while you try not to snigger at your planned cloudy topping. It’s probably cruel, but he’s a pirate. That’s your excuse, and you’re sticking with it.

First step is to help out with the basic prep for the main meals, which you perform satisfactorily, judging by how Sanji turns an occasional eye over your work without offering anything more than a rare slight correction. Second step is, while Sanji starts to cook, to get the dessert prepped.

Working off the recipe is pretty easy, especially with the cook offering advice and quick checks throughout. He seems pleased with your work though, which makes it all the sweeter (heh, sweeter) when you start making the damn thing look like clouds.

It’s pretty goddamn awesome, if you do say so yourself. Even if your cooking teacher’s expression has started looking a little wooden as the cake’s intrinsic cloudiness comes to life.

You motion towards the nearly-finished deliciousness, face a picture of )admittedly mostly hidden) naivety. “Is this okay?”

“Y-yeah,” he says, visibly uncomfortable. It’s beautiful. “It’s good. It’s... Wait.” His eyes narrow at your own wide ones. “You’re fucking with me, aren’t you?”

>What can I say, I like clouds.
>If I say yes, are you gonna kick me?

(By the way, for hygiene reasons you had a shower and changed into a convenient set of new, non-torn but still face-covering clothes that you borrowed off Zoro/Kohza/Sanji/whatever before this. >if you can't arrest them, break them mentally

You stare at Sanji with an expression of pure, unrefined confusion. Alas, you are merely a sweet and innocent pirate, unwise to the ways of the world (and cake). What could he mean? You are entirely ignorant of the subtle undercurrents of his accusation, and so on and so forth.

Yuuuuup.

"I... don't think so? I just thought it'd be good to eat?" You bite your lower lip slightly in a way that could mean, 'he thinks my baking's bad!' or 'he thinks I'm the kind of asshole that has fun messing with people!' depending on how paranoid he is.

By an astounding coincidence, you are in fact the kind of asshole that enjoys messing with people. Just a little. Out of affection. ... And because it's funny.

Mostly be because it's funny, to be honest.

Sanji apparently isn't sure of your honesty, by the way he looks at your hurt expression, face faltering slightly. "It - does look good, but..."

>I said Logia don't die from falling. Shouldn't you be watching the food?

Now that I think about it... If I wasn't inside Flash's head this would seem like he had everything planned.

He stayed behind when everyone was fleeing from Enel. He killed him alone somehow, survived the fall and now he is a logia. Enel's logia. It's as if Flash absorbed his power somehow.

The only other explanation is that everything was just a coincidence and somehow stayed behind for no good reason, killed the god by pure luck and then somehow found the fruit, but that's stupid and too far-fetched.

Just how far back goes Flash's plan? Did he know about Enel from before? Did he know that getting drunk with Usoph would mean getting a ride to the sky island?

"Nineteen..."

"... Sometimes I kind of wonder how he sees me," you admit, voice low. It feels dangerous, forbidden, the more you say - like dredging up blackened, buried truths you've long sunk in the depths that you'll never admit even exist. And yet - you can't help but feel a vicarious thrill in releasing them out there; into the world, letting another person hear and cast judgement on them. "I cause - a lot of trouble."

Understatement.

"I can imagine," Sanji murmurs, smile flickering around his tar-tube. "But I'm guessing he's not the sort who wants a boring life, huh? Or an easy one?"

You snort. "Yeah, he doesn't really do calm."

"I think if he really thought you were more trouble than you were worth, you'd already have been off the ship." He shrugs, opening a drawer to pull out some bizarre specialist kitchen tool. "I mean, I'm not saying surprise him with a Father's Day card off the bat, but don't close yourself off from the whole idea, yeah?"

>You must have a close-knit family, huh?

Don't most DF users get default transfers into their own ship. Combined with how good flashy is we can might be shipped out due to revealing the DF regardless of our intent.
>>
>>3552662
That bit came straight from Smoker so unless he got it wrong, it's what we're working with. As far as our records go, the REALLY good shit has been wiped clean for propaganda reasons while the normal good shit isn't really good enough to attract Admiral-level attention, which is what we were worried about.

Besides, it really doesn't make sense to make a DF user a captain just because they have a DF. Barring weak DFs, having an ability doesn't say anything about your combat prowess or ability to lead.
>>
>>3552662
You're in the photography department, though. Smoboss has kept hold of Hat because of Garp pulling strings and because he was an infantryman, but you're not teeeeechnically combat, which means you can't command your own ship. On paper, anyway.

Aside from that, while you HAVE had officer training, it's not been long enough that the Brass would feel okay giving you a hundred or more men to command. And if they knew your DF was a Logia, they wouldn't risk you dying, anyway, and would slap you straight under a high-ranker for training.

By being a paramecia, you can stay moooostly under the radar.

Hate to say it, but I'm tired early, guys, sorry. Heading to bed now, thanks for playing! Vote is still open if there's any more, gotta sleeeeeppp...

Unless you bake a reeeally nice cake for it.

Zolo meanwhile is torn between a place of 'mmm rival yes good' and 'use more swords, use more swords, oh Seasus no don't die, i can't handle this again, don't make me stab you'. It's a different kind of connection than regular friend. I think.

Apart from some delightfully wide eyes at the cake (Strawbrat doesn’t notice, too busy trying to eat it), dinner goes just fine. Afterwards, you manage to corner the Witch and Princess Traitorous Pirate Scum - they take the reveal of your Logia pretty well - and then Doctor Cutie.

... you get a thorough telling off for not telling him earlier, although he IS relieved you’re not a lunatic (ha, joke’s on him! You are!). Most importantly, you get a hug out of it, so you think you win that one.

Oh, and you call Conis to explain your situation of ‘I must get back down or my Captain will feed me to my sword-tutor’. That goes... not great, but not awful? She’s ecstatically grateful for the whole ‘killing the local tyrant’ thing, but the fact is that there aren’t a whole lot of safe ways DOWN. There’s some kind of giant octopus balloon thing (What.), but that needs a ship or boat - you can probably get one though, considering the circumstances. You could also sail (or ride a waver) down a different route to where there’s a bunch of suprisingly-safe waterspouts, but it’s pretty far and definitely wouldn’t put you anywhere near Jays. You could still probably find a Marine base and meet up from there, though.

She’s apologetically unhelpful in figuring out how far you are from Jaya right now, though. It’s not like people in the White Sea keep track of what’s below them, after all.

Still. At least you have three options - get an octopus down, ASAP, wait for the Strawhats and leave with them, or head for the waterspouts before the White Sea gets out of range of those too.

The next thing, before you attempt to sneak off and try not to get murdered from afar by Smoboss, is to tell Nico Nerdo about your Logia. The things you do to freak a few guys out.

You track her down, reading a book by herself in the living area. Excellent.

Enel could shape his lightning body to an extant right? We could probably do that and practice a couple different forms. Easiest one would just make ourself bigger and blue, which is great because once we figure it out we can be really tall when we want! After that figuring out how to make extra arms would take a ton of practice but I think it's possible. I'm also all for that dragon form that was talked about too

I only imagined it as zapping weapons off our back into our hand and back again.
>>
>>3554010
I have never seen a quest get this many crits, successes and fails. Manthor's god luck MC Gravitas, Som's jobber Tofoo, not even Manic or Not-Som's Eric got this many, and those two are known for that shit, and with d20s at that. At the same you literally have no way of bolding without being OP or any real way to cheat the dice, it's randomized and timebased for fuck sake.

Even if we didn't count Onepiecebaka's bullshit luck, Flashman has crit succeeded and failed from the other players' rolls so many times that we've beaten out even most of the quests that had gone for over 100 threads.

Flashman is by far the luckiest protagonist to ever exist, hands down. He is basically the greatest shonen character to ever exist on this site and it's purely the result of our rolls, even I've gotten a 100 in this quest in the past and my luck is absolute shit. That's insane, this entire quest is basically blessed by probability itself.

>>3554043
>...... Yes, storing them in a dial would work. Seasus
Thank god, I love how Flashman is a weapon-nut but carrying around a full duffle bag of weapons was getting sill....ier than normal level of goofy....
Maybe keep our cutlass and katana on our hip, our pistol on our holster, and our jitte on our back, then have a dial belt with all our other weapons for when we need to quick draw our other more specialized equipment. We can also stuff our usual loadout in our dial belt for when we need to go undercover, it's perfect
>>
>>3554053
I think it was a 97 or something like that.
>>
>>3554063
Yeah, just went and looked, it was a 97 (+4 bonus).
>>
>>3554058
It’s probably going to be a while. Pretty sure BP said at one point that people like the Yonko or Mihawk have such high modifiers that it’d be literally impossible for us to beat them on a roll until we get waaaay stronger. Even a crit would just let us survive the round against them without getting turned into paste, if they fought seriously.
>>
>>3554051
Of course you don't, that concept died not even halfway through the first thread. To be honest as fun as that would have probably been, this has legitimately made things way more interesting.
>>
>>3554058

>>3554061
Duffle was purely to hide your distinctive weapons, you wouldn't usually use it.

20 threads, excluding Mediocre Roll AU Quest. How the fuck are these 100s still coming? How? OPB, which thread did you start playing at? I'm curious.

>>3554067
Yes, thankfully. You're still in earlyish Paradise.
>>
>>3554070
I honestly don't remember, but I think it was around the time you used the "genuine pirate quest" OP image, since I remember seeing it and started reading through the threads because I wanted to see what happened that caused the change.
>>
>>3554043
Ah, well, that’s a relief. As much as I like all our weapons, carrying them all around is probably getting a bit....cumbersome. Oooooh, that means we could get a dial devoted to carrying like, oodles of cannon balls! Was worried we’d have to either be on a ship or carry like, a sack of them around if we wanted to be able to use our cannonball throwing skill more then once or twice.
>>
>>3554067
True, as fucking insane as Flashman is, he's still nowhere near the top yet. Don't get me wrong, DF, weapon mastery, and reliable haki usage will push Flashman into the big leagues once he's trained a ton, but that's still a ways off and guys like the warlords, emperors, and Admirals/Vice Admirals would destroy us no joke. At the very least we're definitely upper midtier, vast majority of the world doesn't have shit on us
>>
>>3554070
>Duffle was purely to hide your distinctive weapons, you wouldn't usually use it.
Fair but come on, just imagine how exactly Flashman is carrying everything he's got on him, it's ridiculous. Trading some of our dials and making a belt of lightning dials would just make it all way more convenient.
>>

>Cannonball - pouch at right hip
>Fan twins - one under each arm on the inside of jacket/coat
>Eisen Whip - probably in a pocket or strapped to left hip, even more probably we will leave it at Skypia because its useless on Blue Seas
>>
>>3554118
Do you comprehend what we created it's bag of holding we could maybe store not only weapons but maybe even camera, it could even work on other logia users like Ace with flame dial
>>
>>3554087
If you mastered your weapon-switching and got a good handle on your Fruit I would tentatively say yes, especially if he didn't know you had said Fruit. Lightning is pretty good against sand because of glassing, much like Abs' Fruit.

>>3554118
You actually carry your three swords on one side, like Zoro, meaning if you dual-wield swords one of them has a slight delay in unsheathing due to crossing your hand over. One fan there as well. Pistol-chan is on the other side, along with another fan.

I doubt you'll be carrying Heat Lance and Meteor-sama around with you in non-pirate persona.

On another note, I wasn't kidding earlier about wanting to run another (not Mr Speedy) quest. I think I could handle two at once, because it would be an original quest and thus probably die in one thre- I mean, have fewer players.

Anyone have any experience with seeing/running two quests at once? Good/bad/OHGODNO idea?
>>
>>3554128
The good things that can come with running two quests is having a schedule you can switch between. Giving you time to plan for each or take a break from either. If you think you can run two without burnout then by all means do it.

I do remember Moon attempting to run a Dragon Ball quest alongside Konoha Clan quest and people kept bitching to get back to Konoha instead. So be prepared to deal with that, but I think your playerbase is fairly mature so it shouldn't be a problem.

What are you thinking of running?
>>
>>3554128
well, this one is a daily thing (rl issues not included).
If you cut the week in half this quest, half the other, there are not really going to be problems? I think?
It's a lot more updates than the other quest I've watched anyway (usually run in the weekends).

>>3554135
>on burnout
^true

Also, yes give details. I'm curious.
>>
>>3554128
Generally the two big issues with running two quests is
1) "I can totally run two quests and not burn out you guys" proceeds to burn out

With most QMs this would be an issue, but I've watched this quest have a run nearly every day for months now, and it hasn't felt slowed down even now, disregarding a few days here and there when you couldn't run.

2) players who are fans of [insert quest] getting annoyed with QM splitting their focus between that and [insert quest 2]

Admittedly this could be a minor issue at first, but honestly the playerbase for this quest is superchill, especially compare to a lot of other quests where things have gotten pretty toxic. That plus all over your runtime means that players will have way less of an issue than with a qm that barely runs 1 day out of the week and doesn't get much done in a session.

So over all you're probably one of the few QMs who I can trust to not get bogged down running two quests. So sure, go for it.
>>
>>3554118
Look all I'm saying is a belt of holding would be super useful
>>3554135
To be somewhat fair, some players bitched but Moon really only dropped that quest because he tried to do something different and found the whole thing lacking.
>>

>>3554153
True. It was just one of the more recent examples I could think of in terms of Multi-quest QM-ing. Before I got super busy and stopped following his quests it seemed like a running theme that he really wanted to run multiple quests but people only wanted his attention on one. Nowadays it seems like he has a fairly decent running schedule from when I pop over and checked.
>>
>>3554135
Yeah, I don't think there'll be as much interest in my original quest, so I definitely feel it won't take up as much attention. (Admittedly I didn't think this quest would ever get more than a max of about 5-7 players, so I could be hideously wrong, but fanfic quests ARE easier to get into, so...)
And yeah, I think most of the playerbase here is mature. Moreso than me, sad to say.

>>3554143
>>3554145
Re. burnout, I go for quick as possible updates on this quest. They're short, not very detailed (or detailed at all), but hopefully enough to get the point across. Kind of a broad sketch of a scene.

Stylistically speaking I'd probably go closer to my writing roots (... but with less brutal BDSM porn) for the second quest. Fewer, slower updates (and less typos), but a lot more detail. Admittedly I could give up on that and make the updates more like here, but I'd likely expect a far more relaxed pace, giving me more time to write updates. And fewer votes! If it got to be too much though, I'd drop the second quest rather than OPBP quest.

As for the premise itself, I was thinking either 'embittered, middle-aged, retired supervillain (aka evil Smoboss) ends up being blackmailed into mentoring teenage wannabe superhero' or 'parody isekai wherein the chosen hero's summoning gets magically hijacked by the Demon King, shenanigans ensue'. I also love phantom thieves, but I'd probably want to give that one my full attention... maybe someday.

What you're saying is that you're real good at this sneaky stuff. In fact, you're not saying anything at all. No sound. Like a churchmouse who's actually a ninja.

>>3554200
That sounds pretty damn fun, though that's sadly not it. Your being alive prevents another chosen one being summoned, but you're weak and captured, so the demons have to prevent the side of good from rescuing or assassinating you (or you escaping), while trying to recruit you themselves. My original idea was 'isekai'd via rebirth, except you actually end up as the Demon King's heir... And he's an overprotective dork'. But that's maybe TOO silly.

>DK realizes hero has access to his powers instead of regular heroic abilities, needs to convince and teach hero to save the world by taking back the DK throne before one of his demon generals get it or the hero, and by extension the DK, is fucked because the demoms will hunt them down.

So I was way off.

If I had to choose, I'm personally leaning towards one of the isekai.

By the way would Flashman's diplomacy/bullshit mod apply to his roll with Smoboss?

"Smoboss!" You blurt everything out as fast as possible, before he reaches through the den den and strangles you. "I finally managed to get away in private, for absolutely the first time!"

There's no pause - instead, accompanying Mr Speedy's sudden shocked expression, comes the sound of Smoboss choking on something. Cigars? Coffee? Rum? Coffee with rum in it? Rum with coffee in it? Rum with rum in it?

It doesn't matter, because he catches his breath soon enough, and speaks low and urgent. "Brat?! Are you all right?!"

OH THANK FUCK HE BOUGHT IT

Hearing from Smoboss, especially him being so worried about you... man, it makes you relax into a relieved puddle of goop. When did your shoulders get so tense. You can't help but grin. "Yeah, I'm- well, my ribs are cracked? But that was from, I dunno, getting electrocuted or jumping on a flying ship or something. It's been a long couple of days."

"A flying-? No, that's not important right now. I'll deal with whatever bullshit you've pulled later." Rude. Accurate, but rude. "Have you had medical attention? Are the Strawhats on to you?"

"Yes, and not really? Their doctor's-" (adorable) "- really good, he's patched me up pretty well. And... Nico Robin's on to me. But she's keeping it secret from the rest for now... hedging her bets, maybe?"

Smoboss sighs, relief obvious, and you hear the creak of his chair as he leans back. Late night in his office again, huh? That paperwork must be piling up... "Good. And you're up in a sky island, huh? Can you get down, or Are you going to javebto go with them?"

You pull a face. "I can do either way. I think the locals will give me a boat if I really need to get down fast, but... I don't know where I'm gonna end up, either way. It might not be anywhere near Jaya."

"Yeah, that's your own damn fault for getting kidnapped again, idiot," Smoboss comments bluntly. Sympathy, dammit! Sympathize with your plight!

>Yeah, well, it's YOUR fault for letting me out of your sight for more than five minutes! This was practically guaranteed!
>Okay, fine, whatever. I'll just get lost at sea. And die. No biggie. Not like anyone would care. (sad puppy eyes)

"You killed God, huh? Overachiever." Man, it's like he doesn't believe you. At least he sounds dryly amused rather than aching to kill you. "You end up trashing some cult, brat?"

"A little. Their local 'worship me, I'm a literal god' tyrant tried to go all murdery on us, so I killed the crap out of him." You shrug. "It hasn't been long, but apparently the locals are happy about it, so I guess it worked out."

Yeah to be honest I really like the idea, but I could never run it on /qst/. I'm not big on writing and I only really have consistent access to my phone, which...look I respect the hell out of QMs like you and GD for being able to run on your phone/tablet, but god would that suck.

I am thinking up of ways to DM it though, I've run campaigns before where multiple people play one character/aspects of one character with various degrees of success. Plus I'd only need two players out of like nine people I could see being interested, so running it would be way less of a hassle than a full group.

"Couple things, but I'd rather tell you in person. I'll call you as soon as I'm sea level again." There's no way you're mentioning the Logia or Armament, or adopting a giant snake here. Plus you need to be on the scene if Smoboss has a heart attack. "Tell everyone I said hi!"

"Hmm." He doesn't sound entirely convinced by your casual tone, Mr Speedy staring at you with suspicion, but apparently decides he'd rather have a long sleep before finding out what bullshit you've pulled now. "Fine... try to keep the stupidity to a minimum."

"Your minimum or my minimum?"

"... Get some rest, idiot."

"That doesn't answer my qu-"

"Stay safe."

The click as he hangs up is oddly loud in the forest, which suddenly seems so much darker and emptier. Fortunately, your heart is brighter and more full! It's all good! Everything's okay! Nothing can possibly go wrong!

You sneak back onto the Merry with no more difficulty than getting off, and curl up the bed in your tiny cabin, feeling better than you have in... it feels like days.

We need sky candy and to trade in our useless dials for ones that'd be useful on the ship.
Hey, how much would the jet dials we already have speed up the white mist if we just glued them onto the back of her?
>>
>>3554716

all the dials and candy
>>

It would not be difficult at all. Just charge them in closed room.
>>
>>3554741
Realistically speaking, we’re not going to want to break out the full arsenal unless things get really dicey, which means we’d probably be using our Logia anyways. As long as we have a few of our weapons on hand like normal we shouldn’t have any trouble.

What >>3554778 said, plus better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it. Besides, if we want something hidden there's no way anyone could find it, and it's great for storing away large loads of stuff when necessary.
>>
>>3555006
We definitely need a belt of holding for all our goddamn weapons.
It's an absolute must.
>>
>>3555044
'Course, there's also the problem that since we're the only one who can actually do the lightningspace trick anyone else accidentally using the dials runs the risk of the electricity containing our precious weapons dissipating into nothingness.
>>
>>3555067
I'm not sure how that would work...
Would the items turn back into items, or would they diffuse into the ground without turning back?

And if they did diffuse into the ground, it's not like the electrons went anywhere, they're just in the ground.
So does that mean if we find the spot where they diffused into the ground, we'd be able to suck them back out with our logia? Is there a time limit, since the charge would disperse over time?
Could we use that to hide items anywhere temporarily?
Could we hide them more permanently inside batteries or capacitors?

Much experimenting needs to be done.
>>
>>3555071
I would say there's a SMALL chance of getting the weapon back if you're fast and right next to it, but you're probably fucked. As such, the best bet is to not let anyone get their hands on your Dials, or at least only carry assorted cannonballs/bullets/random weapons you don't care about in them.

7-7 draw for next morning and boat.
>>
>>3555462

FORBIDDEN

>shopping/trading votes

Please refer to the pastebin listed in the original post, where Bob has kindly kept track of the assorted Dials you have. You also have the cloud iron Not-Sword which is going to be useless on the Blue Seas if you want to get rid of that, and you can ditch the flame lance if you want.

One Piece wikia has a section on Dials, assume any canon (non-game) one is up for grabs. If you guys want an Axe or Reject Dial, it's limited to one OR the other, you'll only get one, AND you'll need to get a high roll when I call for one. Assume the more common, household Dials are cheap and plentiful.

Just say how many Dials you want to buy of which type, I'll then tally up what people want and work out what's actually reasonable for you to get. Yes, people are happy and generous, but you've still got little to trade with and no money. I would recommend keeping your votes to a maximum of ten Dials, maybe a few more if you want weaker ones, fewer if you want a rare or expensive one.

And yes, you automatically get sky candy.

>MAKE YOUR CHOOOOOIIIIIICE

Vote will be open for a while.

We already have a breath dial, would swap for flavor one just in case some things need one instead of other.
A tone could be useful, camera is suspicious, some silly shell not really, only those in the know would be suspicious of one.
How many Jets do we have? 2 looted from the guy we shot, pastebin says there are 2 on each skate for a total of 4 more, but I remember us getting a hold of only one skate? Anyway, thats 4-6 jet dials, do we really need more?
Impacts would be good to give away to someone among crew who might need them more than us, so the are good.
I want a flame dial just on the off chance we can dare Fireplace into getting inside it.
One extra water could be always useful, so thats fine.
Thunder dials could help us with explaining sudden boosts in power of our shocks, just explain that in the off-time we kept generating and storing charges for later use is all, a hundred 1V batteries connected in a row will kill a man and all that. Still only one shot thing, useless on a large scale and blablabla, you know the deal.

Not really.
Its a Heat Lance with Heat Dial inside, it heats stuff without outright flames, like an electric stove.
Pastebin also lists that we have a single heat dial on its own, outside the lance, maybe Im just interpreting it wrong and it refers to heat dial inside the lance.
Flame dial stores and dispenses straight out flame and fire.

>>
I was just looking at the wiki and it turns out that bird we killed that could breathe fire was actually using a flame dial.
Did anyone pick that one up or did it go unnoticed?
I'm sure sanji cooked it up at some point...
>>
>>3555598
Luffy ate it and now he can breath fire.
>>
>>3555590
Yes, and get rid of the Filthy Not Actually A Sword. Also by removing the skates, you've got two seastone wedges (you can get someone to melt these down at some point, but you'll need a specialist) and four Jet Dials (two from each).

Looks like a lot of people want 2 Flame Dials, I'll allow 1 Water Dial as well.

>>3555597
REALLY FUCKING EXPENSIVE

Seriously, you'll need a specialist just to melt them down, let alone reforge them. Marine HQ would probably do it for a tax/tithe of about 20% of the seastone, otherwise you can search for an independent blacksmith. But they'll have to be seriously good, and it'll be a Look of of money. Smoboss' seastone-tipped jitte cost like... two years of his pay as a Captain. That was buying the seastone as well, but working it is also expensive. Luckily his only expenses are cigars and alcohol.

Well, since they're wedges and we only need a bit for the tips of our weapons and shoes, i'd say a 20% tithe is plenty worth the price.
We should just use the whole thing and get some hard knuckle gloves while we're at it, considering how effective punching enel in the face was.
>>
>>3555601
>Smoboss' seastone-tipped jitte cost like... two years of his pay as a Captain.
Y I K E S

Maybe we should just tie the seastone chunks onto a sturdy wood handle to make a crude hammer/maul in the meantime?
>>
>>3555605
Reminder that we can't transform stuff tipped with seastone.
>>
>>3555598
You didn't know how it was breathing fire, Robin tossed it overboard. The sharks likely ate it, but you're not getting it now.

>>3555608
This is an option!

Also, you guys realise you can't turn seastone to lightning? If you cap your pommels with seastone, you'll have to drop the entire sword if/when you go lightning. It's not too bad for Smoboss as his smoke can be used to lift/hold his jitte, but lightning can't do that.

OKAY.

Dials get! Candy get! Assume you went around and took plenty of pictures for scrapbook-chan, said some goodbyes to the Strawhats and the mysterious Sogeking (he got all blubbery over the bullets, it was weird), managed to convince Kohza to give you some of the Jet Dials from the crashed Ark (Nami wasn't thrilled, but when she heard you didn't want any of the gold she happily agreed). Zoro told you to practice more with your swords, the weirdo.

You and Robin also exchanged numbers because you owe her for keeping your secret.

Conis has also arranged for a smallish sail-boat and some basic supplies for you, courtesy of someone very happy to see Enel dead.

Man, those skates are actually pretty huge, huh?
We could easily get both ours and smoboss' jitte tipped with the stuff.

Yes, you took pictures of all the Strawhats and Merry (the ship, unfortunately the klaubauterman is impossible). Robin tried to avoid the camera at first, but you got Chopper to make sad faces at her. Her annoyance with you tasted delicious.

Lots of pics of Noodle, too. The goodbye with snek-babby had hideous tears and snot, but Conis has agreed to make it clear to everyone in Skypiea that Noodle is to be kept safe, and looked after if it gets sick or hurt.

For this kind of shenanigans, a certain timing is necessary: it's what define the great mind-fuckers from the tryhard.

Jesus Flashy is bullshit.
Conquerers (Soon), Armament and Observation haki AND a god tier invincible Logia.
He'd be transferred under an admiral in a flash if the brass knew
>>
>>3555716
I prefer the British spelling, which is WHAT THE FUCK IS ONEPIECEBAKA SACRIFICING AND WHO TO, WHAT IS THIS QUEST DOING, HOW IS THIS NORMAL.

Seriously, I’ve got to a point where I just go ‘Ah, yes, another 100. Shit happens, I guess.’ instead of ‘holy crap, a 100! Incredible! What luck!’.
.... Dice system in next quest will be different. And probably will only have nat1s rolled.

>>3555721
He’ll need to be under someone else soon, Smoboss is going have a heart attack when he finds out you didn’t just kill some random cult leader asshole, and instead became Lightning Garp.
>>
>>3555721
Honestly, I’m still a bit confused as to why people want Conquerors so bad. I mean, it kind of just seems like something that knocks out mooks in large numbers? Which is useful I guess, but we can already knock out mooks in large numbers. It probably wouldn’t work on anybody that can threaten us in a fight. So why do we want it so much? Because it’s a bullshit protag power? Or has there been some reveal recently I haven’t heard about that makes it way more useful? If not, I think I prefer having enough crits to get us out of literally any situation if necessary, or bump up one of our tough to train skills a lot, like Armament.
>>
>>3555721
>>3555725
I gotta wonder
How high in the chain of command would Flashy have to be in order to make keeping the Haki and the Logia a secret unnecessary?
>>

>But he didnt do anything wrong! If anything he helped save Skypiea!
>Oh, and how'd he do that?
>Well he killed their evil God.
>Oh, that's all. Sounds like he was just some overconfident asshole.
>Well, he had a Lightning Logia. But Arthur killed him!
>I'm sorry...I need to lay down for a moment.
>>
>>3555725
What's smoboss' reaction when flashy comes back with an admiral-tier lightning logia, armament haki, garp-like cannonball throwing skills, two massive hunks of seastone and a bag full of incredibly useful dials, one of which could destroy his ship in a single attack and can only be safely used by people with logias?

>>3555727
Conqueror's is the Will of a King.
Before a king, only another king may stand. It's that sort of thing.

If we want to fight with the big boys someday, he'll need it.
>>
>>3555727
For DRAMA. Also, we can tame animals with it.
>>
>>3555732
>smoboss’ reaction
Probably my reaction nowadays to nat100s. ‘Oh, okay. Whatever. It’s Flashman, it makes sense.’

>>3555728
For revealing you have Armament, Observation AND a Logia... probably Commodore. And they’ll still be keeping an eye out for a reason to throw you under a Vice- or full Admiral.

Honestly, Logia is a bigger deal than Haki. You’re a prodigy with Haki, but anyone can technically train it up, but getting your hands on a Lightning Logia is a far bigger deal, especially with the chance that it’ll just fuck off once you die rather than transforming a nearby fruit.
>>
Can someone be ultra-uber-lovely and tally votes while I shovel food down my gaping maw, please? I will reward you by sacrificing a glob of BBQ sauce in your name. And isn’t that the most we can hope for in life?
>>
>>3555746
huh... i guess that's true, isn't it?
whatever fruit the gorogoro is, it grows on skypiea and probably can't be found anywhere in the blue seas...

So flashy's fruit is literally one of a kind, in that once he dies it's essentially lost forever.
And it's a logia. A really goddamn powerful one, at that.

Need i repeat myself? It's admiral-tier.
It's not some bullshit garbage logia like saliva or honey or something, this thing is nothing but raw attack power.
And it's in the hands of an absolute madman with a boner for justice.
>>
>>3555768
That's not how devil fruits work.
They basically just possess a random fruit nearby.
It's not just attack power, it's also got speed and utility and maybe flight.
>>
>>3555771
It has insane speed, great utility and you can indeed fly if you transform completely.

But, i was always under the impression that a devil fruit always possesses the same type of fruit.
If it was an apple, it searches out the nearest apple, even if that's hundreds of miles away.
>>
>>3555771
I was right.
From the one piece wiki:

When a Devil Fruit user dies, their ability is reborn into another similar fruit. Instead of growing from a plant, the ability simply regenerates inside another similar fruit as seen when Smiley "died" and the Sara Sara no Mi, Model: Axolotl transplanted itself into a nearby apple.
https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Devil_Fruit
>>
>>3555785
Interesting, so the Goro Goro no Mi is literally impossible to get outside of Skypeia?
Now that's interesting.
>>
>>3555776
Pretty sure fruit type does matter. However, when Robin saw the fruit, she referred to it as one of the "invincible powers," implying that knowledge of it existed beforehand and thus there must have been other users. I don't remember much about how many Skypieans were pirates, I only recall the one Supernova, but I doubt it could build up such a reputation without there having been multiple users and I doubt they were all Skypieans.
>>
>>3555791
Yep.
One of a kind, probably hasn't been seen on the blue sea in a very long time.
I'm guessing most people don't even know it exists anymore.

I'm really excited for flashman to be able to jump inside a cannonball or bullet and be fired long distances in a hurry.
If it's just a bullet, he can even use this method of transportation in towns since they can just fire him up into the air where the falling bullet will do little or no damage to anything.
Like that, he could make REALLY good time to the scene of any sort of trouble.
>>

That's an understandable feeling BP. Coming from a college dropout, job hunting can suck big time.

But if it's Fop trauma you need, we could shelve the mission a bit and have a Ferris Bueller's Day off event with Fop. Or just induct him into our Klaus training.

How about being verbally promised a job by the interviewer and then ghosted? Three separate times by three separate companies? Hahaha so much fun! It's great when you start flat-hunting in the area you've been promised, definitely not a heart-crushing waste of time at all!

If I suddenly drop the quest, assume I've been arrested for finally snapping and murdering an interviewer.

Any Fop/infantry/solo voters want to vote for sis (9 votes) or Hat&Sunglasses (10)?

I have no idea, but an apartment is like 'a balcony you can stand on, clean carpet, modern kitchen' and a flat is 'the same amount of space but no balcony, the floor is threadbare crap and the kitchen springs a leak every two weeks'. In my experience, anyway, although to be fair I did once live in a cheap little flat that had carpet in the bathroom, and it was surprisingly well-maintained.

But generally, 'apartment' is more expensive/posh/classier than flat.

And according to Google

"What is theetymology of "flat" in its meaningas anapartment? It comes from Old English flett, meaninga dwelling, or the floor of a dwelling."

THE MORE YOU KNOW. As well as a general agreement that apartments are usually considered nicer than flats, so I feel all validated and knowledgeable.

>95 roll from earlier, nice

Your boat hits the ocean with surprising gentleness, weird floaty octopus thing happily curling into the water with a friendly wave from its tentacles.

"Thanks for the ride!" You fingergun at it, because you've done surprisingly little of that over the last few days, and don't want to get rusty, and grin as it attempts to copy the gesture, finally dipping beneath the waves.

Now. Getting back to Smoboss. When you have zero idea where you are. Or any kind of Pose. This is fiiiiiine!

See now, if only you were american you could have a house with an acre or two of land for the same price our in the country.
This is why britain is terrible and limeys should be shot on sight.

Honestly, when are we going to annex canada and south america?
Then we can just make the rest of canada a part of alaska (except for quebec, which will be razed to the ground, the earth salted and forever walled off inside the world's largest concrete dome, just like chernobyl), and make all of south america a new state called "super texas" with no laws for maximum freedom.

>motherfucking Jaya, how lucky are you guys

As it turns out, everything really is fine, because after about thirty minutes of sailing, you manage to find a passing merchant-ship which helpfully points you in the direction of Jaya.

You're somehow only a couple of hours away.

... What kind of bullshit luck is that?

Well, you're not going to complain about it. Instead, you set sail with a careful eye on your compass - barring Grand Line bullshit, you can't go TOO far of course in just two hours - for Mocktown.

Or rather, what remains of Mocktown. Which isn't much.

"Hoooooly shit," you breathe, as your boat approaches the island, which has several Marine ships docked, and the many sunken wrecks of what were probably pirate ones.

The town itself is... well. It's not on fire right now, but it clearly was before, perhaps yesterday at the latest, as you get close enough to make out the toppled, charred forms of what were once wooden buildings. The harried ones have no doubt fared better, but you doubt there's any free and living pirates in Mocktown. Or a Mocktown at all, really.

You give a brief wave at the distant sound of several lookouts on watch yelling their sightings of you, but no-one's trigger-happy enough to try blowing a random civilian boat out of the water, so it's not too hard to pull up at the battered port. Even if there are more than a few infantry with guns casually pointed on you.

A Lieutant leans over the deck of one ship, waving you ashore. "Name and reason for being here?"

"Commander Flashman, here to meet up with Commodore Smoker!" Not Captain Smoboss. Must remember that.

That causes an eyebrow-raise, probably due to your lack of uniform, lack of Marine ship, and your age for your rank, but he tells you to hold on and puts a Den Den call through anyway. After that, he's all professional politeness as he welcomes you ashore and points you in the right direction - not that you need it, the White Mist isn't too far.

Mmm, yes, you could get used to this 'outranking people' thing.

Arthur:
Luffy - Art-guy's pretty fun. I'm hungry.
Zoro - DAMMIT he should use his swords more. And have more self-preservation. Being nuts is fine, he just needs to stay alive and keep working on his swordsmanship. Nice guy, and useful too, that Kami-e technique is good...
Usopp - HOLY CRAP ARTHUR'S SO COOL AND SCARY AND COOL AGAIN [fanboys]
Chopper - Arthur's a good guy, but he needs to take care of himself more, and maybe not kill people right off the bat.
Sanji - Endlessly curious about why shitty Mosshead was so worried when he was possibly dead, is this some weird swordsman bond? Decent cook for a beginner though, at least SOMEONE appreciates the skill and work rather than just eating the end product and demanding more. Needs to stop messing with the ladies.
Nami - GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD GOLD
Kohza - [dramatic broody shrug] Good fighter, I guess.
Vivi - He seemed like a decent person!
Carue - Quack quack. Quack quack quack.
Robin - [external mysterious smile] [internal fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfu-]
Merry - [happy-glad]

Will do Flashman opinions some time soon.

>>3556365
Yes, a lot more gold, more time for repairs, and some actual shipwrights in the sky (plus jet dials). It's not Water 7-level work, but it's a lot better than a rushed patch-job.

Who DOESN'T like Chopper? Even Akainu wouldn't be able to hurt Chopper in his brain-point cutie form!

>Crying roll = 70 + 5 = 75, big blubbery tears

Hmm.

Opening your duffle-bag - now filled with Dials as well as weapons - you switch out your neat, clean shirt for your tattered, bloodstained jacket. It shows off your bandages beautifully.

Aesthetics! Fashion! Style!

Next, you head up the gangplank to the Mist, grinning and holding a finger to your lips as the infantry spot you. Some facepalm and others bite their lip as you approach the door. The office door. Smoboss' office door.

It's just so... kickable.

You stop a few.feey back from it, your heart absolutely not pounding with the sheer glee of being back home, seeing your men, about to see Smoboss -

Shit, you've missed everyone. So much. Has it really only been a week or so? And less for Tashigi and Curly?

You're not crying.

You're absolutely not crying.

Fuck, you're crying. SCREW IT, THIS HAD BETTER BE WORTH ETERNAL LATRINE DUTY.

Your entire body slams through Smoboss' door at breakneck speeds, your careful aim sending you hurtling towards and over his desk.

He manages to look up, eyes widening and mouth opening to say something, before you slam into him with the force of one of Garp's cannonballs.

"SMOBOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSS~~!!" It's clear enough, despite the wail and the tears.

Commodore Smoker, scourge of pirates, groans in what's either annoyance or mental anguish from his place on a toppled chair on the floor, your arms wrapped around him in a desperate hug, tears soaking his coat. "Should've locked my door..."

"I'M BACK AND IT WAS AWFUL AND I MISSED EVERYONE," you inform him in a mature and casual manner, although the awkward pat on the back does bring you back to reality for about two seconds. "I CAN'T BELIEVE I SURVIVED FOR SO LONG!"

"... Brat, it was two days with them."

Hello Sir, my apologies for the late response.
After reviewing your contract with us, I must agree that this oversight should have been patched already.

Whenever possible, please perform a standard Grade... let's try Grade 2 Sacrifice to start with (Which you will be reimbursed for), then clearly state [Eglaaargn], followed by [Hrknna].

After waiting the customary 20 seconds for the amendment to go through, please try your luck again to determine whether the matter has been dealt with.

Have a pleasant day.

No, people have rolled 100s outside of first-3/called-for rolls before, I don't reward those.

And as your luck doesn't carry to Silvers Harry, I'm assuming your dark contract is only for this quest. In Heli-Dad Quest, you're going to need to make a whole new evil deal, so HA.

Enjoy your lack of soul.

So are we going to equip the white mist with those twelve jet dials?

If we do it'll be able to sail even when there's no wind, or even unfavorable wind.
And when the winds are good, it'll obviously get really good speed.
Like, enough to catch up with the strawhats.

Speaking of, we're still really close to skypiea and we have a general idea of when the strawhats are coming down, so shouldn't we be able to chase them if we just hang around for a few days?

And what to do with our reject dials?
They can only be safely used by logias like us, smoboss and smolboss.
Personally i'd like to give them to smoboss and smolboss, and give the three impact dials to tashigi, hat and glasses.
That'd boost their combat potential significantly, i think.

And of course, we still need to give smoboss one of those flame dials so he can use it as a lighter.

can you store beer or rum in a water dial?
>>
>>3557472
>They can only be safely used by logias like us, smoboss and smolboss.
About that... the thing is kind of made out of seastone.
>>
>>3557480
The reject dial itself it?
I guess you'd have to wear gloves when handling it, then.
Or just put a leather cover over it.
>>
>>3557472

>And what to do with our jet/reject dials?
I want to put one Reject on a hammer. Not on meteor hammer, just a standard big fuck-off sledgehammer, with a Jet on the other side for max oompf.
Also, a Jet on the butt of HeatLance for extra rush stabby times.

>logias like us, smoboss and smolboss
Hat is also a Logia, don't forget that.
But yeah, Fop, Tashi and Sunglasses could use one Impact each.
If we don't plan on keeping other Reject tho(in case one of them does go in the hammer), I vote for giving it to either Smoboss or Mina.
>can you store beer or rum in a water dial?
afaik pretty much any liquid is ok.
There may or may not be problems with corrosive ones tho, lack of data on this part.
>>3557480
Thats the first time I ever heard of this, do you have any sources?
>>
>>3557587
>have a custom hammer made
>four jet dials inlaid into the back
>the face is just a reject dial, which according to anon is apparently made of seastone
>flashy can now run massive amounts of electricity through the hammer
>"Jet-Impact Hammer" evolved into "Mjolnir"!
>[distant zoro screams]
>>
>>3557472
>equip the white mist
You could, but you'd also have to rig some system to activate them as needed. When your cannonball smashed through the Ark, the reason it did so much damage was because it hit the machinery which handled turning a lot of them on/off.
This would probably require pulling part of the ship apart for a small rebuild, so it's a biggish job. You also only have twelve Jet Dials, and only four of them are the big ones from the Ark. The others are much smaller (such as from the skates) and don't give out as much power.

Basically, for the extra oomph four Dials would give you, it's not worth it.

>>3557480
Pretty sure they're not. Looked it up to be sure, and all the Dials are just she'll. One Piece magic shells, but not seastone ones.

Also yes, any liquid is okay in a Water Dial. I'm holding off on a decision as to whether Hat's acid counts, due to corrosion.
