Welcome back to Z Quest!

This is a Survival Horror Quest with heavy drama. In this episode you will play as the Housewife, Lucy Riley, and guide her through the first of the world's last days.

>We return to Lucy as...
You and Doug just agreed to band together and make your way to the school where your daughter and his son and many other children from your community are trapped.

You sent your oldest, Joseph, back to the gated community to get all the supplies home, take care of his brother and wait for his father. Before sending your son away you wisely took a few supplies with you in case of emergencies.

With everything taken care of you and Doug sent your children off and made your way to the parking lot in search of a large vehicle. Making your way to the parking lot proved difficult due to the severity of the storm and horrifying screams and pleads for help coming from the Walmart with monstrous screeches intertwined within. However you managed to find a Premium Luxury Cadillac Escalade.

Inside you found keys in the ignition, several large bricks of cocaine, as well as a duffel bag with ornate gold and silver dagger. But you weren't able to celebrate for more than a few seconds before a body was thrown at bullet speed from the front entrance of the Walmart and into a nearby van. What followed was a unison of gut wrenching screeches of horror that pierced your ears like razors. Blood, guts and more viscera splattered and now leaks from the crumpled van in the unrelenting rain forming a river of crimson. You feel the car surge forward as Doug hits the gas as fast as he can trying to peel out... but almost immediately the car stops. You can't hear what Doug is shouting at because what you see next stops your heart and tunes out everything. You see a figure shamble out.

You want to look away. You want to immediately vomit in disgust and horror. You want to get away. But then you think about your family. You think about what you would happen if whatever is in there is out there with your children, husband, or friends right now. If the news is down then that means no one even knows about whatever is in there. That means all the students and faculty at that high school are siting ducks. Your Celeste is a sitting duck. You need to warn everyone.

Before the figure fully shambles out you quickly pull out your phone and open the camera app and record.

A mass of bloody flesh in the shape of a person severely hunched over and disgustingly disfigured limbs slowly shambles out.The bloody mass of flesh wriggle slowly along its horrifying body as pieces of itself are dripping off almost like chunky slime exposing bit of its skeleton. Through the pouring rain and dark skies you can't make any more details out but you see it suddenly sprint awkwardly at the crumpled van at a ridiculously fast pace and it just spears itself headfirst into the left over gore that remained and begins to vigorously feast. Bloody tentacles rip themselves out of the creature and assist it in its gorging of flesh.

The sound of the engine roaring back to life breaks your trance like stare and brings your attention to the front of the car once again.

You see Doug sweating profusely but now smiling at his success reviving the car. "Holy shit.. I thought we were going to be stuck here." he says taking a heavy breath as he shifts into drive "Let's get out of here."

As he pushes someone races to the passenger side of the window right in front of you and begins to bang against the window. It's a woman carrying a child. She has shoulder length brown hair with green eyes. Makeup streaks down her face from the rain and tears. Her hair blows relentlessly from the winds. She is crying and screaming for help. The child she carries has it's back to you, it's head is nestled in her neck, it can't be more than 5 years old.

Through the glass you hear her scream "PLEASE YOU HAVE TO HELP US! THOSE THINGS TOOK MY HUSBAND AND ALMOST GOT MY CHILD!!!I DON'T WANT TO DIE! PLEASE!" she begins to babble incoherently as she tries to explain her situation.

You don't know what to do. Your heart begins to beat faster. You'd want someone to help you if that was you and your child. Everything inside you is screaming for you to help her but you need to leave. You need to help your own kids. But again if this was you... You look to Doug for some semblance of what to do but he looks just as panicked and distressed as you.

The woman continues to plead for help and out of the corner of your eye you see that all the commotion has drawn the attention of that creature. It looks towards you with glowing blue eyes that bore into your soul sending chills down your spine. It lets out a gurgling screech with it's tentacles writhing violently in the air. It's coming
>>
>>3579870
"GET IN NOW" once she's in tell Doug to hit the gas its time to GTFO
>>
>>3579870
The creature begins to sprint towards all of you but it's disfigured limbs cause it to stumble constantly. This however does nothing to stop it. It lurches forward violently breaking its own limbs to hungrily chase you down. Its flesh is boiling all over and glows red threatening to burst like blood and puss filled cysts.

The woman witnesses this and is now screaming in horror and bangs against the door even harder begging for her life. "PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME OUT HERE!!! PLEASE!!!" Her voice cracks as she screams as loud as she possibly can. Her child hasn't moved at all or made so much as a peep.

Doug Also sees the creature coming and yells " WE NEED TO GO NOW!!!! YOU DECIDE IF SHE IS COMING OR NOT!! BUT ONCE THAT THING GETS TOO CLOSE I'M LEAVING!"

You look back to the woman and know you only have seconds to decide her fate.

You look down at the woman through the window as she begs you too let her in. She is just like you and everyone else. A person looking for safety.

"I'M NOT LEAVING YOU BEHIND!!!" You scream earnestly through the glass to give her a dire second to back up so you can open the door. The woman's face turns to one of immense gratitude as she backs up quickly. You throw the door and yell at Doug "GOGOGOGOGO!!!" as you reach out and grab the woman and her child. The Escalade jolts forward as soon as you get grip on them. Using all the strength you can muster and manage to pull her into your seat and onto your lap as Doug punches the gas and you all blast off!

The creature lets out another bloodcurdling screech before you can shut the door and it causes all of you to wince in pain. Doug grunts in agony and begins to swerve slightly but quickly steels himself and maintains control. Reacting fast you shut the door of the speeding vehicle and sigh in relief. You did it.

The woman sits awkwardly on you lap, her legs are drawn up almost in a fetal position cradling her child. She is a very petite woman with pale skin, she can't weigh more than 110 pounds. She continues to cry as she holds onto her child. Your able to get a closer look at it and can immediately tell it is her son. His eyes are closed and he looks to be either asleep or unconscious. You can't tell. But what you can tell is that the boy has a rather large gash across his head that is slowly leaking blood. The blood drips onto his face and has been smeared by his mothers skin and clothing. It looks like it needs to be stitched.

"Fuck. I can't see anything in this rain." Doug says in frustration as he reaches for the GPS screen in the car and inputs the high school's destination. "25 minutes. If we don't run into traffic on the farm road that's how long it should take."

Nodding your head at doug you then turn your attention back to the woman and her son. You rub the woman's shoulders and ask "Are you alright?" The woman finally looks up at you and breaks down crying once again and pulls you into a wet and bloody hug her head in your chest." Thank you much! I thought we were going to die out there!" she says muffled by cries. She raises her head from your chest and looks up to you. "We were just trying to prepare for the storm ya know... Me and my husband kept max home from school and decided to go to the Walmart to stock up on food and water." she begins to choke up once again at the mention of her husband. "I took Max to the bathroom. There were so many people.... We heard the screams and people crying for help but.." but she suddenly loses it and breaks down, unable to speak.

You look over to Doug to see him concentrating on the road, he is very carefully driving just outside the road and dodging trees or other people doing the same, but he turns to you and gives you a sympathetic look. "You did the right thing." he says with a weak smile before returning his attention to the road.

You feel your phone buzz on the floor and scramble to pick it up not know ing you even dropped it. it looks like it is still recording. Yuo push the red button and end the video to see a text message from Trevor.

Hey Mom! Mr. Banks just got here! He says hello and not to worry about me. I hope you come home soon Mr. Banks says there is a big storm outside! Hope you come home soon mom love you!

You feel a huge weight drop from your chest. Trevor is OK and has someone to watch him.

You look back at the still crying woman. Your motherly instincts kick in and you begin to wipe the blood from her face and tell her everything's going to be alright.

This calms her enough for her to stop crying and too apologize. She then climbs in the back seat and starts to clean her sons face. She looks up to you and say "Thank you again. both of you. We'd be dead right now if it wasn't for your kindness." she offers a bleak smile before getting back to cleaning her son up

The car is silent. Doug is concentrating on the road and the woman in the back is cleaning up her son. You are sitting in the passenger seat drenched in water and blood. You can hardly see anything outside the front windshield due to the storm, your amazed Doug can drive like this, but look at the GPS to see 20 minutes still remaining. You could turn on some music and try to lift the mood. Or maybe ask Doug about something and get to know him and his family better. Or you could try to talk to the woman and maybe convince her to tell you more about what she saw and experienced, it could be useful. Or offer some of your bandages so that you can at least stop the kids bleeding. Or you could look out the window and try to spot out if any of those things are out there or if more people could need help. You could also use your phone to call someone or look something up on the internet. So many choices so little time.

>What do you want to do

Sorry about the long update had to cook! with that being said I'm going to be eating so take your time with this one!
>>
>>3580176
First things first we need to clean and bandage this kids head. once we have that done we need to make sure that Doug is good, having him crash won't help things. finally, we need to have us and the lady keep a watch out the windows for more creatures. it won't do to have one of those things get the drop on us.

You decide that the boy needs the most attention first. You climb in the back seat beside the woman and take out a roll of bandages and a bottle of water. You use the water to somewhat wash the blood and then wrap his head with the bandages to stop the bleeding. You use up about half the roll and put it back into the bag along with a half a bottle of water.

"Thank you." The woman says meekly "I never got your name mam."

"Lucy Riley" You say cheerfully and extend your hand for a handshake

The woman smiles and shakes your hand. "Molly Smith, and this is Max. Thank you Mrs. Riley again. And to you Mr....."

"Doug Richards." He says nodding to her through the rear view mirror.

"Thank you Mr. Richards, Truly."

"Don't mention it, just get some rest and take care of that boy. You've been through a lot." He says with genuine concern.

She agrees and proceeds to cuddle with max and run her fingers through his hair.

With max taken care of you climb back up to the passenger seat and begin talking to Doug.

"How are you doing? That was alot back there." You ask him

He lets out a deep sigh and shakes his head for moment "I don't know how to answer that. I've never seen anything like that. Ever. I mean you only ever see that kind of shit in movies and video games and comics and it's just fucking insane to see it in real life. I SAW it with my own two eyes, heard it with my ears, I fucking smelled the goddamn thing and I'm still struggling to believe it." You see his fist gripping the wheel more and more tightly as he goes on. "I mean like how does this just happen?! Why did no one warn us about this?! What can you do against something like that?! Sarah and Courtney are out there right now somewhere in the city and John is stuck at that fucking school! How can I protect them from that?!" his voice trembles and a tear falls from his eye.

He quickly wipes it away and steels himself once again." Sorry. I know you must be feeling the same way. I just... I can't lose them."

You place your hand on his shoulder. "I know. I feel the exact same way Doug. And that's why we need to keep being strong. For them. We are in this together. We aren't going to lose anyone. I've got your back"

Doug looks back at you with a endearing smile "Ha.. and I've got yours. Thanks Lucy. I needed that. Just to get it out." He lets out a sigh of relief and you can see a lot of tension lift from his shoulders.
>>
>>3580330

With Doug take care of you turn your attention back to Molly "Hey Molly do you think you could help me look out for those things on the road? The last thing I want is for one of them to get the jump on us."

"Yeah no problem." She says as she shift Max from her tiny body into a more comfortable position and then leans towards the window.

You do the same, you peer out the passenger window and begin your search. The first thing you notice is the severity of the strorm. It has shifted from heavy thunderstorm to what seems like a tropical storm, the wind rocks the trees violently and sends clothing, papers, etc flying everywhere. The road is starting to flood with an inch or two of rushing water. Your outside the main city and are driving near the suburbs. The roads are flanked by the Boreal forests that supply the city with lumber and exports. You see people stuck in traffic as Doug drives dangerously weaving outside all the lanes dodging cars, people, and trees. The traffic is bumber to bumber and doesn't seem to be moving at all with people starting to just give up and drive as you are, however because of the weather they either crash into the trees of swerve back into traffic and hit everyone else. You see some people just abandoning their cars and carrying their bags along the road. You don't see any of the creatures or really anyone that seems injured. Maybe this thing hasn't made it's way to everyone else? Even the forests look empty. Although maybe that isn't normal.

You finally see the entrance to farm road 20 only to see it blocked by the Aurora City Police. Two Squad cars park on either side of the road with a wooden blockade between them. Red and Blue lights shine bright from their cars. It looks like four officers two in each car.

"Son of a bitch." Doug mutters under his breath. "What do you think?"

As Doug says this a old looking hatchback pulls up in front of the Police cars and begins honking. An officer from each Car steps out and begin to shout and point back to the main road. That's when two men step out of the hatchback and begin yelling back at the officers. Things look like they are escalating quickly.

You could try to just find another way around, although that would mean possibly bypassing Amy or taking even longer to get to get to her and the kids. You could try to go up to them and attempt to diffuse the situation between the police and the two men in hopes that this would give some leeway when you ask to enter the road, although you have no idea who these people are or how dangerous they can be. You could try to drive through the forest briefly and slip past them altogether, this is obviously a dangerous option but if you can pull it off you could save time and energy. Finally you can simply wait for the situation to resolve itself and approach the officers after.

I'm really hoping we don't delay ourselves for too damn long. In a tropical storm the people going outside are the ones I usually mock since the houses here aren't made of cardboard like the US.
Also hoping that us getting info out doesn't result in the US deciding to airstrike the fuck out of the town since it seems nigh impossible to catch that shit on camera.

"Hey would should try and see if we can diffuse the situation for them." you suggest to Doug."It might get the officers to

He looks back to you with a worried face "I don't know... these guys don't look like the easily diffused type. Heh" He nervously chuckles

You look back to men and officers to see that the situation hasn't changed much. The two men are still right outside their hatchback and yelling at the officers and vice versa.

"Come on, just pull up slowly and we'll just talk them down. I think if we do that we can get a little leeway with the police and they might let us through." you say confidently

From the back seat you hear molly meekly "Maybe we should just find a new way."

You consider it for a second but ultimately decide you can't afford to waste too much time with the storm worsening. "Don't worry Molly everything is going to work out." You assure her and then nod to Doug "Let's go"

Doug nods back and begins to slowly pull up. As you get closer your able to get better details about them men then you could before. The one standing outside the drivers seat is a short 5'5 portly man with a large mustache and saggy jowls. He looks to be at least mid sixties early seventies with snow white hair barely growing at the top of his head. The second man in the passenger seat is an average 5'8 well-built younger man with ginger hair in a wet and messy mullet. He too has a large mustache but it connects to handlebar/mutton chops beard. The older man wears jean overalls and a straw hat, no shoes or an undershirt. The younger man wears ripped blue jeans, filthy boots, a dirty yellow flannel and no hat.

Doug pulls up to where your Escalade is 10 feet away from their hatchback and about 40 feet from the small blockade.

Just from here you can hear, through the storm and windows, the two men shouting every profane word you can think of at the police. The officers both have one hand up in a stop gesture with one hand on their waists gripping their sidearms. The headlight from your vehicle grab the two men's attention and they turn to you. With the lights on their faces you can see disgusting open sores, dark saggy eyes, and yellow rotted teeth. They seem like the people you used to watch on the show COPS. Meth heads you think they were called.

Doug looks at you again "Are you sure about this?"

"Yes. This is the fastest way to the high school and probably the safest. We just need to talk them down and get through." You tell him right before you open up your passenger door and step out.
>>
>>3581247

"Get those fucking lights off me BITCH!" The younger man yells at you as he puts his arm up to block his vision

You put your hands up and say "Woah it's okay I just want t-"

"I SAID GET THOSE FUCKING LIGHTS OFF ME!" He shouts with spit flying from his mouth

You quickly duck down and tell Doug to shut the headlights off. The headlights flick off, you stand back up, and the man drops his arm still facing you.

"This ain't got nuttin to do with Yu missy! Geton' back in yer ca and git!" He says slurring his words and shouting. The other older man seems to still have his attention on the police shouting " Oh yer ganna let us through cocksuckas! I swear to god if y'all don't git the fuck outta our way I am gonna blast EVERY LAST ONE OF YA" He screams growing red and reaches back into his hatchback for something.

The police pull out a bull horn "Mr. Pickendale please return to your car and back away, this road is closed!"

"YOU KNOW DAM WELL I LIVE ON THIS ROAD MUTHA FUCKAS!!! SO GIT OUTTA OUR WAY!!!" The older mans jowls violently shake as he shouts and barks like a dog.

"Hey why don't we all just cal-" you try to say but you are cut off again

"Didn't you fuckin hear me bitch?! I said GIT!! I ain't ganna warn ya again yu understand?" The younger man shouts even more frustrated at you.

"I understand but we need to get through to our chil-" Once again you are cut off

The younger man reaches back into the hatchback and pulls out a weathered double barrel shotgun and points it in your direction. This prompts the older man to do the same and point it at the police. And this forces the police to pull out their sidearms and aim at the Pickendales. The two officers that were still sitting in the squad car hop out with tactical shotguns and aim their weapons at the Pickendales. Out of nowhere from the back seat of the hatchback a younger woman pops out holding a hunting rifle. She looks just as decrepit as the other two men and aims her rifle at the police.

The younger man stares at you from the end of the barrel "I SAID GIT!!!!" He shouts again. Finger just hovering over the trigger.

The police officers yell through the bull horns "THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING! RETURN TO YOUR CAR AND BACK AWAY!"

You put your hands up in a surrendering gesture. You take a quick look to the left and see Doug stepping out of the car and putting his hands up similar to you saying.

"Hey whoa listen just put the gun down... Nobody needs to get hurt" he says loud enough for the man to hear over the storm.

Your screaming in your head "WHAT ARE YOU DOING" but then you notice Doug's hand slowly and cautiously dropping behind his back. That's when you see a glock pistol tucked in the back of his pants.

The rain and wind aren't enough to slice the tension going on. Everyone is just waiting for someone to make a move. Something to ignite this giant powder keg.

These dudes are clearly coked out of their mind, but let's see what we can do since it isn't like we're winning at combat unarmed in a mexican shootout.
>Slowly back away towards the car (the glass/car is bulletproof?) or try not to look intimidating while we talk incase we can get behind some sort of cover. We don't have a gun so we're technically one of the only people that can afford to watch out incase these idiots are attracting monsters with all the noise they're making. We don't need those fucking things showing up in a shootout.
>Officers. My friend Amy was driving along that road to get everyone's children from the high school and I'm worried she might have crashed. Do you think that we all can agree to you giving myself and these.. gentlemen passage or a police escort to make sure she's safe? This is no time for a person to be stranded on the road. You now these people, you can always visit their place to apologize later.
(I don't think we're gonna get a chance to speak long enough with these fucktards but it's worth a shot still?)
Hopefully the officers get the hint that they can always arrest these fuckers later during a situation that DOESN'T have possible hostages/bystanders.

(If things somehow progress smoothly like they probably aren't.
Say we just escaped the Walmart massacre and there's a baby that could use some professional medical attention

Secret option 3 incase anyone else likes the idea. Tell Doug "Those things were attracted to noise, right?"
I think he should get the hint that we need to be on the lookout to book it before we get caught up in what these meth heads are drawing towards us

>>3581416
Yeah. Peacing out might be an option. This was a drug dealer's car. If they had that much cocaine on them it might be bulletproof.
Anyone else wanna save the cocaine to see if we can kill a monster via making it OD after we toss a brick into it's mouth?

You keep your hands up, making sure to look as non-intimidating as possible as you slowly slide closer the Escalade, maintaining eye contact with the Mullet haired maniac with a shotgun. You manage to snail your way behind the door of your car.

"Officers. My friend Amy was driving along that road to get everyone's children from the high school and I'm worried she might have crashed. Do you think that we all can agree to you giving myself and these.. gentlemen passage or a police escort to make sure she's safe?" You call out loud and speak in a slowed tone.

The longest 5 seconds passes as everyone waits for their response. But it doesn't come. The Older man with the shotgun loses his patience and cries out "FUCK THIS!! IMMA KILL ALL Y'ALL!!"

With that the whole world slows to a crawl. The mullet haired man you had been maintaining eye contact with licks his busted lips with a sinister grin and closes his eyes to flip his hair. You take this golden opportunity to snap left and dive for the High beam lights in your car. Within this split second no one had even seen or heard you move. That's why when you flip on those lights. All hell breaks loose. While in mid jump you look back to Molly and yell "GET DOWN!!"

The high beams explode to life and the first shot rings out. BANG! BANG!

The first 2 shot comes from the old man. His shotgun hits one of police officers and her practically explodes as she goes down.

The cops yell something but you can't understand it as everyone begins shooting. You put your arms over head and hunker down. You wait as shots constantly ring out for 7 seconds. After that all you can hear is the howling of the wind and rain. You raise your head to see Doug standing behind the door while aiming his glock between where the door and car meet. He stands there calm as you've seen him so far. Not a scratch on him or the car. You look back to molly holding max closely against her on the floor.

"Is it over?" You call ask Doug.

"It's over." He replies without leaving his stance. Still looking out to the scene."Holy Shit." He whispers to himself

You push yourself up and slowly look out the front windshield.
>>
>>3581691

You see the hatchback riddled with bullet holes. Every window is shattered and litters the ground with shards. You see the mullet haired man that was aiming at you with a single bullet hole in forehead. Blood leaks from it as he lies sprawled out on the ground with the shotgun still in his hand. You can't see the other two that were with him from where you are at in your car but there is a lot of blood, so you turn your attention to the police cars.

Their windows are shattered as well, you see one of the officers hanging on the door from the window. His blood drips off the car door and onto a small pool of blood. Next you see the officer who had her face blown off. The sight makes you gag as you continue to the next victim. You can only see his legs, his top half is blocked from your vision, but he too is sprawled on the floor. The last officer looks like he took a shotgun blast to the shoulder and leg as he is on his back clutching his shoulder. He is alive but he is definitely bleeding out. The rain isn't doing him any favors as he wails in agony.

You look back over too Doug who is now sitting in the drivers seat with his hands on the wheel. He looks in your direction and stares into your eyes. He is right in front of you but when you look in his eyes he seems miles away.

"Let's go." he says coldly

Your somewhat taken aback. "Doug that officer isn't dead. And I don't see those other two people who were in the hatchback. We should help the officer and make sure those other two aren't going to hurt anyone else." you tell him calmly. You aren't sure what it is but Doug seems like he isn't himself. You've only known him for an hour maybe but this can't be normal.

"No. Let's go." he says without backing down. he remains monotone and simply stares out the front windshield.

The officer continues to scream in pain. And that's when you hear something in the distance coming from the forest. It sounds like a Wolf howl but intertwined with a disturbing bubbly gurgling that finishes with a high pitched yelpy undertone. It sounds far away, far enough to give you probably 5 solid minutes if it was coming towards you. But you can't tell.

Your not sure what to do. If whatever that thing was is coming you definitely need to get going as soon as possible. But you desperately want to help this officer, at least get him to his radio so he can call for help. And you want to make sure those other two maniacs aren't going to follow you to or kill someone else! But Doug doesn't seem like he is budging. You could try to persuade Doug to help the officer and look for the other two, you both have gotten along rather well so far so maybe it'll help break through to him. Or you could just agree with him, you are in a hurry and if those other two are hiding you don't want to give them a shot on you. But maybe if you help that officer he could help you guys somehow in the future. But if you leave him and he lives..

What do you guys think about stealing the cop car?(with the cop in the back)
We NEEDED information from the cop about why the road was blockaded so that it doesn't turn out to secretly be a nest of monsters we pile into at 65mph.
Cop vehicles tend have better engines that would be illegal on civilian vehicles where I live. IDK if that's the same in the US, but at the least it should be a fairly good vehicle.

it just me, or have the ambient sanity points of anyone that isn't a named character been slowly dropping?
It started with the people at Walmart freaking out over a basic storm(We're used to hurricanes where I live so idk if it's a cultural thing where I don't lose my mind over a little wind that's making it seem strange to me)
Then the meth heads were going Florida man for the hell of it.
It's not TOO strange but at the same time it's just off enough that it's making me suspect something?

I wonder if these drug dealers had a police scanner in the glovebox that we could have been using this whole time.

"Your right. Let's go." You say calmly. You look back to molly. "It's alright, you can get back up. We're going to continue on."

She nods slowly and climbs back into her seat still holding on to her son. The kid still hasn't moved an inch.

You put your seat belt on and tell Doug your ready to go. With that he releases the brake and you begin to make your way through the carnage, Doug having to drive slowly due to shards of glass and maneuvering around the barricade. While driving you get a closer look at the bloody scene and find the Meth woman laying face down inside the hatch back with a single bullet visible in the back of her skull. You still don't see the old man.

As you draw closer to the police cars the officer that was shot in the leg and shoulder is practically drowning as he tries to scream but rain relentlessly flies into his mouth and mercilessly beats down upon his wounds increasing the flow of blood leaving his body. He won't last much longer but you feel the need to say something regardless. You roll down Doug's window and tell him to hold on for a second while yell out to the officer. " Please if you can reach your radio call for help! There are monsters out here and I think they are attracted to loud noises! I'm sorry but we don't have the supplies to help you and we need to reach our kids! Again I'm sorry!"

"HELP ME! PLEASE!" The officer yells in response.

Suddenly Doug rolls up the window and keeps driving "There's nothing else we can do."

It hurts to leave someone behind like that but Doug's right. We couldn't do anything for him. Right..? The Officer continues to scream in the background.

This thought leaves your mind as you drive past the last officer that you had assumed was dead is sprawled out in the mud but doesn't seem to be mortally wounded at all. You do see that his abdominal area has been peppered from the shotgun blast but no blood pours from his shirt.

It doesn't matter however as you finally make it past the blockade. Doug pauses and takes a deep breathe as he grips the wheel tightly, ready for whatever he has to face next. Molly clutches onto Max combing his hair and humming him a song hoping that he will finally wake up. You sit back filled with determination, you too are ready to face whatever comes next, you are prepared to do anything to get your daughter back. But a hint of worry drops in when you think about what more horrors you will have to face...

You all stare down Farm Road 20, a lone road flanked by the massive trees of Aurora City's boreal forests. Full of life and mystery. The tropical storm only enhances its subtle but deadly beauty. Again a dreadful gurgling howl that still send chills down your spine breaks through the forest drawing ever closer. It's coming.

Doug pushes on. You stare out the front windshield, keeping your eyes peeled for Amy and her car. And after three minutes of driving through the dark lonesome road you come across her mini van.

"Woah woah woah stop right here." You eagerly tell Doug. He stops 10 feet away from the wreck."Molly watch the car ok? I am going to check to see if my friend is OK." She nods and places max in the seat adjacent to her as she adjusts herself to watch out all the windows. With Molly on watch you hop out of the car and are forced to hold your arm up to block the wind and rain. Somehow it's gotten even darker outside. the last you checked it was only 1:00 in the afternoon but it looks like 10:00 at night. You can hardly see anything outside of the headlights shine. You look up in the sky to see lightning dancing all over the clouds, the blue energy you saw before continues to slowly pulsate and roil in the clouds. You hear the Escalade door slam shut as Doug comes out with you holding a flashlight. "Come on, let's go find your friend." He speaks loudly over the rain and points his flashlight at the wreck. You look back to your vehicle and note that it is still running.

You both cautiously begin to make your way over. As you draw closer with Doug's flash light assisting you the vehicle comes into clear view. The whole mini van currently sits on the side of the road upside down. It looks as though it spun out after hitting something, the front end has been destroyed. Mashed all the way to the beginning of the front windshield. You walk to the front to get a better view and find the destroyed part caked in black red viscera. It all drips like sludge and smells horrendous. It forces you to gag as soon as you draw too close and you accidentally take a strong whiff and vomit profusely.

Doug doesn't have as strong of a reaction as you do but he does cover his nose and mouth. "What the fuck is that?!" Doug Exclaims as you leans closer to get a better view. After you finish retching you leave Doug to examine the black and red sludge to check on the drivers side of the upside down van to find a man hunched over with his hands reaching inside!

You yelp in fear a the sight of this strange man and this causes him to snap his head to your direction wide eyed. He wears a long black hooded trench coat with black jeans and combat boots. His eyes are completely blacked out like some sort of demon. His mouth is covered by a black half mask. Looking into his eyes terrifies you to the core. You feel an icy wave shiver through your body. As soon as he sees you the bolts towards the forest!

You immediately dash over to the driver's door and drop to your knees. You find Amy hanging upside down, held by her seat belt and the airbags. She has quite a few shards of glass lodged in her forehead and sprinkled around her face, although none look big or lodged too deeply. She is however bleeding quite a bit. Her arms and hair hang to the roof of the car which is now flooded by and 2 inches of rain water

"DOUG!" You call out to him.

He rushes to your side "What happened?! Is she in there?!"

"Yes! Help me get her out!" You say standing up. You both grip the door and yank it open with little resistance. Doug grabs a hold of her carefully and you unbuckle her seat belt to drop her. Doug carries her out with ease and lays her on the road. He shines his flashlight in her face to look her over. She has long curly raven black hair, she has light freckles that pepper the bridge of her nose and slightly on to her cheeks. She wears tight blue jeans with light brown Ugg Boots and a white blouse covered by her leather jacket. You've always admired her beauty and it pains to see your friend bloody and bruised.

She has no reaction to the light in her face so Doug begins to thoroughly check the rest of her body for injuries. You taken aback at how professional he seems to be, he is hyper focused and looks like he has done this a million times.

"She broke a couple ribs and quite a few bruises, not to mention the shards in her face, but other than that her body looks fine." He says as he then puts his ear to her chest. "She's breathing, the airbag probably knocked her out." He says matter-o-factly. "She's extremely lucky. She is going to be Ok if we can get her someplace safe." He offers you a week smile before it turning into a frown. "Whatever she hit must have been a big son of a bitch to walk away from all of this." He says as he points his flashlight to a thick trail of the black and red sludge leading away from the mini van and into the forest.

"I think we should follow this trail. If whatever she hit survived it can't survive long. If we manage to find it severely injured or dead we could use our camreas to get an up close image of it to broadcast to everyone. If no one really has seen these things or knows about them this could help immensely. Plus if that thing is injured but dangerous I've got this." He pulls out his glock "What do you think? "Doug I saw someone. He was hunched over and reaching inside the van right when I came over here. He looked at me and his eyes were pitch black like... like some sort of demon or something." Doug attentively continues to listen " And he had half a mask on that covered his mouth. He wore a hooded trench coat and ran into the forest as soon as he saw me. He's probably still out there. I don't think it'd be good to go out there with him lurking around.Besides we can't waste too much time, the storm is getting worse and Amy is really injured."

Doug pauses for a few seconds before tucking his glock in his back waistband. "Ok. You're absolutely right. Let's get your friend in the car and keep going." He says as he drops to his knees and carefully scoops Amy up and into his arms.

"Thank you Doug. I'm going to check out her van to see if she has anything that's useful that survived the crash."

He nods and carries Amy through the rain and to the Escalade.

You begin your search in the front seats. You find her phone laying on the roof of the car under several shards of glass and the flooded rain water. You pick it up even though you're pretty sure it's broken due to the water and a number of large cracks on the screen. You find a pair of sunglasses still intact, you find a large amount of quarters and other change but decide to leave it. You reach further in and open the glove compartment. Out falls a map of Aurora City, a flashlight, a tire pressure gauge, a pack of batteries, a flask of whiskey, a pack of cigarettes, and a few other mundane items. You put the items in your pack and zip it back up. Satisfied with the front seats you move to the back seats. You find nothing other than a 6 pack of water bottles and a first aid box. Lastly you exit the flipped mini van and go around back to the Trunk. Here you find a hiking pack completely filled with snacks; Chips, granola bars, fruit snacks, etc. As well as a large open cooler that spilled out 32 bottles of water, 24 cans of soda( only 12 remain sealed), and a 12 pack box of Juice.

You call Doug over and he helps you load it all into your car.

Once you have everything loaded up you and Doug get back in the car and continue to drive. Molly sits in the back seat and makes sure Amy doesn't fall or shift too much.

You glance down at the GPS and see that you are only 5 minutes away from the High School. Your heart races in anticipation.

As you continue on the road you start to see Abandoned cars along the side of the road. Most have their doors wide open, as if the driver and everyone else just got out and ran. Supplies and thrown all around the road in tatters. You even see one car that seemingly went up in flames. You get a particularly good look at one windshield to see two bullet holes pierced through. No one in the drivers seat but it is strange. You point it out to Doug but he seemingly ignores it and keeps going. he must be anxious to get to his son.

After maneuvering through the series of car wrecks The high school finally comes into view. The Main building is a large brick building with many windows and three entrances. The one on the far right leads to the science and math wings. The far left leads to the Library. Finally the Main entrance leads to the administrative offices. All of the buildings lights are off and a few of the windows seems to be shattered. The school's flag flails wildly in the storm. Apart from the main buildings on the right there is the large building that is the gym which connects to the football field. And to the left is the Music and Arts building. Both buildings seem to have power and have their lights on. Although you're not sure you saw correctly but you think you saw movement in the main building. A dark figure racing past a window. But again you aren't sure.It could be some paper or debris flying because of the storm.

As you drive closer the main school parking lot reveals itself to be half empty. You could easily find a parking spot here but Celeste did say everyone was on lockdown in the gym. If you were to park here you'd be a bit of a distance away from the gym but you can easily get in and out because of the pavement. You could drive on the grass and get as close to the gym as possible but with this weather the mud could prove to be a problem. You could just try to call her and tell her to bring herself and everyone else to you. Also are you going to try to squeeze everyone in this car? Or are you going to try and find another vehicle? Unless you find someones keys or you get lucky again and find an abandoned car with the key in them you're not going to be able to do much.

GPS still works. That means the cell probably still works. Call a teacher or two that should be there.
If they’re all busy send a text to Celeste saying we’ll call in a minute or two if she doesn’t answer.
Assuming her notification is on silent or isn’t gonna attract a monster in a worst case scenario w here she’s hiding that’s better than setting off her ringtone.

"Doug, park in the parking lot. I'm going to call Celeste and you need to call your son. We are going to tell them to gather up Amy's daughter and the rest of the communities children, then come and meet us out here. While we wait we can search for another car so that we all don't have to cram into the Escalade."

Doug nods "Okay, sounds like a plan"

You look back to molly "What do I do?" She asks

"I want you to be our lookout. Don't let anyone or anything sneak up on us."

"Okay, I'll do my best." she replies with a determined face.

With the plan laid out and Doug finding a parking spot you all get to work! You pull out your phone and dial Celeste's number. It rings... for 5 seconds before it goes straight to voice mail. She declined the call. You call again. The same thing, 5 seconds and the it goes straight to voice mail. Her phone isn't dead, you know that much. She must be trying to save battery or something. You look over to Doug and see he is experiencing the same thing.

"You don't think the cell service is going down do you?" you ask

Doug shakes his head "No way." He then dials your number and calls you. You pick up and can hear him just fine.

"Okay let's text them and see if they respond." you suggest. You text to Celeste your plan about gathering everyone up and hit the send button. You look to Doug and he nods his head noting he sent his text as well.

"Alright well let's try and find a car while we wait for them too respond" Doug suggests. You agree and the both of you hop out of the car. "We'll be back Molly! Make sure to watch out for the kids and us!" You yell to her back in the car as the wind and rain has once again stepped up. You are struggling a bit to move against the winds.

You pull out the flashlight you got from Amy's car and Doug does the same. He offers his elbow for you both to interlock. "SO WE DON"T LOSE EACH OTHER!" He yells shaking his arm at you.

You interlock your arm with his and you both make your way through the parking lot.
>>
>>3584168

Your shoes and socks are completely soaked as the flood has worsened and gotten a bit higher as you both splash along walking. The winds coupled with the rain and darkness make seeing almost impossible to see without your flashlights. This proves to be your downfall as you fail to find any abandoned cars. You spend at least 7 minutes walking the parking lot trying to find any open vehicles. You find one or two but No keys have been left in the ignition unfortunately.

Out of nowhere a Deep guttural moan comes from the inside of the main building. This moan again is completely different than anything you've heard before. It sounds like a moose that is being gutted while gurgling slime and finishes with a high pitched cry . What's more horrifying is how loud it is. You can feel the bass in your chest. Seemingly in tune with the deep moan a bolt of lightning strikes nearby and a deafening clap of thunder rocks the ground for a split second. You hear glass being shattered from somewhere followed by a cry for help.

That's when you feel your phone buzz in your pocket. You pull out your phone but have to hunch over and hold it close to your face as to not get it soaked and you because barrage of rain continues to assault your eyes.

Can't Leave. Come in.

"DOUG! I JUST GOT A TEXT! CELESTE SAYS SHE CAN"T LEAVE AND SHE WANTS US TOO COME IN!" You shout in is ear.

"OK! WE CAN'T FIND A CAR OUT HERE ANYWAYS SO WE'LL HAVE TO HOPE SOMEONE INSIDE HAS KEYS!" he yells back "MY SON HASN'T TEXT BACK."

"DID YOU HEAR THAT MOAN AND CRY FOR HELP?!" you ask

"YEAH! WHATEVER IT IS IT'S PROBABLY OCCUPIED!" he yells back "WE CAN GET BACK IN THE CAR IF YOU WANT AND DRIVE CLOSER INSTEAD OF WALKING, I KINDA JUST WANT TO WALK BUT IT'S UP TO YOU!"

The disturbing moose moan rings out once again. You hold onto Doug a little tighter and yell back.

>Go back to the car and just drive closer

>Just walk your way over to the gym

>Text Celeste to put a teacher on the phone so she can be released.

>Write in??

"LET'S JUST GO TO THE GYM!"

"ALRIGHT!" he says as he begins to lead you into the grass and towards the gym.

You slosh your way through the mud holding on to Doug, As you get closer to the gym you notice you don't hear any noise coming from the building. The sounds of the storms are loud enough but you expected to hear loud chatter of people panicking or fighting or anything.

You and Doug finally make it to the gymnasium double door. You brush your wet golden locks from your eyes and release Doug. You both look at each other and smile, you made it. And with that you both push the gym doors open in excitement. But when you open those doors and look inside your feelings of excitement and accomplishment instantly drain from your body and instead dread replaces them. Your heart slows to a crawl. Your entire body freezes. Nothing but a gasp escapes you.

You see students and faculty bound and gagged, spread out through the gym. Some of them lie motionless in pools of their own blood. Every single one that is alive stares at you with tears in there eyes running like rivers down there faces. You've never seen such sheer terror in someone's eyes let alone this many. They all shake their heads and beg muffled through their gags for you to get away while you can. But it's too late.

One man stands in the center of the gymnasium. He wears a long black hooded trench coat with a strange occult like symbol drawn in blood on his back. He holds a combat knife that drips blood on to the floor. in his off hand he holds a cellphone. Celeste's cellphone. He turns around to look at you. His eyes are pitch black like the person you saw before except different. More menacing. Like the person before he also wears a mask. but you don't need to see his mouth to know he wears a wicked grin beneath it.

"So you must be mom and dad." He says with a sadistic tone. "How nice of you to join us"

When this man speaks you expected for fear to take hold of your heart. You expected to feel helpless. You expected to feel like giving up. And sure the initial shock of seeing everyone bound and gagged, some alive and others not, froze you wear you stood and filled you with dread. But now.... you feel anger! No. More than anger, you feel... Rage! The thought that this freak could have hurt you daughter ignites a burning rage in your heart. You feel your Maternal instincts take over.

You quickly scan the room for other assailants. None. Just a bunch of scared faces against the walls and bleachers all terrified of this one man. You look down and see the bodies of young men and women with their throats sliced open, creating pools of blood under them. The sight sickens you. That's when you hear the faint sounds of intense grunting and crying coming from the back of the gym towards the locker rooms. It sounds like multiple people screaming for help and heartbreaking pleads to stop. Though most of the noise is covered by the raging storm outside. You turn your attention back to the freak standing in the center.

"What did you do to her.." You say trying to compose yourself but your voice rattles with anger. "What did you do to my daughter. Where is she!"

The hooded man takes a relaxed pose and lifts the tip of his knife to his mask. He mockingly puts his off hand on his hip and pretends to be in deep thought as he smears the blood from his knife on his mask. "Hmmmmmmmm ya know what I think she is having a little fun in the back. I'm not sure, I had my fun earlier and justttt ya know passed her along." He pauses and peers into your eyes with his midnight black eyes. You feel the sickening smile he has on his face behind the mask as he begins to chuckle darkly and mockingly thrusts his hips back and forth " Heh Heh ya know I gave her the good ol' pump pump pass BAHAHAHAHAHAHA" He starts to cackle maniacally.

A wave of disgust rolls through you like a tsunami. You have no words that could convey the rage you feel, the disgust, the burning desire to see this freak die.

He points his bloody blade towards you "You should feel proud! She is one of the only ones that could actually be of use! Unlike the rest of the sluts at this school she was pure. She bled when I entered her. Holy shit she was sooooo tight!" The monster rolls his eyes back in pleasure imagining it " Oooohhhh how she screamed! How she begged for me to stop. How she begged for mercy. I loved staring into her eyes as I drained the purity from her soul for my master." His eyes focus back on you "The blood of a virgin tastes so-"

"THAT'S ENOUGH!!!!" Doug menacingly shouts as he instantaneously pulls out his glock and fires at the hooded freak. Caught completely off guard the bullet hits him directly in the forehead as he drops to the ground. Simultaneously out of nowhere every single light in the gym goes out. And darkness swallows the room.
>>
>>3589374
he might be lying but if he's telling the truth then he'll wish he is in hell
>>
>>3589374
A collection of muffled screams erupt from all around the room as the lights shut off. You feel adrenaline course through your veins as the hooded freak goes down. As soon as he drops you hear the beast from outside let out a chilling cry. You hear the voices from the locker room begin to make their way out of them. You look in Doug’s direction as a flash of lightning illuminates his face for a split second. He looks equally as enraged as you as he takes heavy breathes staring at the body of the hooded man.

It’s pitch black in the gym. The bound and gagged student and faculty are panicking and making a lot of noise. You know that whoever was in the locker room is now coming up towards you. You need to either find somewhere to hide in here and maybe find a weapon to take on whoever is coming or run outside and try to see if you can enter the gym from behind. Although if the beast’s cry is anything to go by it might be coming straight here and you being outside might now be a good idea. You could try to hide and free some of the people to get more help. There’s also Doug. He has his glock and from what you’ve seen so far he is a very good shot. You could direct him to do hide or try to flank or serve as a distraction. Whatever it is you don’t have more than a few seconds.

>What do you want to do?
