This is a single-civ quest. All anons will control a single civ
The quest will be updated once a day, every day
The quest will end after 50 days (or when your civ gets anihilated, whichever comes first)
All of the races pictured are viable choices that I am prepared to run, yes even *that* one.
"Will this civ thread be instantaneously abandoned?" I hear you say. No, not unless there's a very small number of players. I will state my intentions if I plan on cancelling.

Anyway, before we can begin:

Affirmative. If we were playing Machines that is.

Excellent choices all of you (rip Walrus chads). But this time the Femboy Elves are the winner.

You will take the role of Ashera: alpha of the elf femboys. You will lead our Femboy-Elf colony to glory!
In addition to doing regular civ stuff, you can basically control Ashera like a normal quest PC.

The goods and materials of your colony are abstracted into four main resources: Cotton, Lavender, Crystal, and Incense. These resources are spent on constructing new buildings for your colony or purchasing items from your buildings.
>>
File: elf_slaves_wat_do.png (7 KB, 495x177)
7 KB
7 KB PNG
You start off with a population of 6 colonists (although you will likely get more later on.)
>>
Every turn you must delegate all of your colonists (including yourself) to tasks
Tasks can involve (but are not limited to):
Using one of your buildings ex: gathering cotton at the plantation
Constructing an incomplete building
Scouting the world map
Attacking enemy bases.

The image demonstrates a basic distribution of your colonists using the two starting buildings.
>>

Every turn you may spend your resources on items and buildings without limit. Items are created the instant you buy them. Spells, Technologies and buildings require you to pay the resource cost AND the labour cost to finish them. Upgrading an existing building does not have a labour cost.
You can start work on a building, tech, or spell the same turn you buy it.

Hopefully I covered all the basics. I haven't drawn the actual colony yet so you'll have to do without a proper picture for the first turn.
Write ins are accepted. I.E if you want to make a building I haven't listed, you can order your colonists to work on a task I haven't listed, etc.

### TURN 1 ###

Cotton: 200
Lavender: 200
Crystal: 50
Incense: 0

Population: 6

BUILDINGS:
Council
Plantation - Elves can work here to earn Cotton
Garden - Elves can work here to earn Lavender

BUILDABLE:
Academy - 200 Lavender - 100 Work - Elves can work here to gain combat training. Weapons and Armour can be purchased here.
Sanctum - 150 Lavender 50 Crystal - 120 Work - Elves can work here to research new Spells. Spells can be purchased here.
Observatory - 100 Cotton 100 Lavender - 120 Work - Elves can work here to research new technologies.
Shrine - 50 Crystal - 40 Work - Autonomously produces x log(x) Incense every turn. Where x is the number of turns the shrine has existed.

If the Shrine rounds up, I say we build that. The bonus to the rare looking crystal resource over time should be pretty useful. If not, Sanctum. Distribution as follows: 1 cotton, 2 lavender, 3 build
>>
>>3585302
>If the Shrine rounds up
It does round up! Although I think you may be overestimating the difference that makes.

>The bonus to the rare looking crystal resource over time should be pretty useful.
The Shrine produces Incense, not Crystal.
>>
I'm a sucker for for automated production as mutch as elfs are suckers for cock, so I say we build the shrine
>>
>>3585314
>lavender not crystal
This is why I shouldn't post late at nights

Also, I would say it's a pretty major difference to round up. The Log fn grows very slowly, taking 10 turns to reach the value of 1 (log10=1) and will never hit 2 in the scope of this civ. Rounding up at the very least means seeing value in a few turns.
>>
Still liking the art.

Saphielle: "Since we built it on turn 2 I calculate a lifetime total of 1838 Incense produced. but... It will be a few turns before we start getting decent yields."
Ashera: "Great, good job Saphielle."

Some time in the afternoon you find a strange human has wandered into your base.
You've never seen a human before, you knew they were pretty big but fuck, he's huge.
He complements your skirt and tells you he's a lone traveller. He asks if he can spend the night in your colony.
You don't want to turn away a stranger in need. But you're not sure if you can trust some random human; you have a responsibility to protecc your fembois.

I vote we
>turn away a stranger in need
We can't break isolation until we have some serious combat magic. For next turn:
Build Academy
Set 2 elves on cotton, 2 on lavender, 2 on building.
How can we get crystal, by the way?
>>
>>3587032
>How can we get crystal, by the way?
Currently you have no way of getting Crystal.
Through research at the Observatory you may unlock a building that can produce Crystal somehow.
Through Scouting you may discover a location that has a finite supply of gather-able Crystal that can be mined by allocating workers to it like the Plantation & Garden.
Events (for example: this turn's Human traveler event) may result in you gaining Crystal depending on choices you make and rng. Beware: events can have negative results as well.
>>
>>3587048
>events can have negative results as well.
Letting a human into our colony, for example, would be a super negative result.
>>
>>3586929
Let him stay the night under watch.
>>
>>3586996
You decide that it's best to turn away this stranger. Non-elves can't be trusted after all, and if this guy turns out to be evil you don't really have anything to stop him with.
Ashera: "I'm sorry, you can't stay here."
Human: "A pity, but I understand. Farewell Elf."
He continues on his way and you go back to your femboys.

As Kali and Lusha tend to the Lavender Garden, some uninvited guests arrive.
A gaggle of geese have wandered in from the creek and have invaded your garden. Attempts to visit the garden are met with loud territorial honking.
It looks like the geese aren't going to let you anywhere near the garden without a fight.
While the geese are loitering in your garden you can't work on the garden or the nearby Academy construction site.
You may attempt to battle the geese with your elves (this doesn't take up their work turn). If you lose the fight the penalty will be small because they're just a bunch of stupid geese. If you win the fight they will be chased off and you will be free to use your facilities again. Win or lose, fighting gives your elves combat experience.
The geese will go away on their own in a few turns if left alone.

Not tolerating a bunch of stupid birds claiming YOUR turf you gather your Elves to give the geese the bum's rush.
You rally your femboys and charge! The geese honk with monsterous rage and charge back.
Quickly the ferocity of the geese begins to overwhelm you.
Buffeting wings, pecking beaks and discordant honks barrage you and your warriors.
Without any weapons, combat training, or magic you are forced to retreat...
Humiliated and enraged you glare at the malcontents from the safety of the council building, plotting their destruction.

(The Geese are still in your base preventing you from building your Academy and harvesting lavender. You can try to attack them again next turn. Or wait for help to arrive. Or wait for them to leave.)

The geese mill around aimlessly before you. Like they OWN the place.
They may have won your last little skirmish but this time they wont be so lucky.
Your elves have had their first taste of real battle and have become STRONGER.
Victory awaits.
You address your femboys before the charge.
Ashera: "Our victory is at hand! Tonight we dine not on salad, but GOOSE FLESH!"
You charge in with your fellow elves close behind you.
The geese see your assault and flap into the fray.
>Rolled 28 (1d100)
You elves fight valiantly, but you are once again forced into a tactical withdrawal.
Covered in stinging goose related injuries. You huddle with your femboys in the safety of the council building and silently vow to turn every last goose that has crossed you into Siu ngo.
You look through the window. Their leader brazenly preens in full view, mocking you with its smug aura.

Aelrie tells you he was not detected but it's only a matter of time before the gobs discover you. If they turn out to be hostile then geese will be the least of your worries. Alliance is a possibility, Femboy Elves are very good at diplomacy but it would be more difficult than befriending fellow elves.

Silrith: "My what an adorable little elf you are. Curtsy for me! I am Lady Silrith, a pleasure to meet you. Would you be interested in purchasing one of my fine slaves?"
She gestures to her captives, 3 elves. One of them is a fellow femboy elf!
Silrith: "Just 400 Cotton, and any one of these fine Elves can be yours."
While you're not really capable of enforcing slavery, you could make a deal with one of the captives to join your colony if you pay to free them.
(A new worker can work the same turn he joins your colony)

She gently touches your cheek with her index finger and strokes a 'S' on your left cheek.

Silrith: "He's all yours."
She hands you a rope tied around the captives neck and has her guards take the payment.

You send your main scout Aelrie further onwards to the North East. If he continues exploring this direction he will soon pass the Misty Creek.
He also found another Crystal deposit nearby the Sun Elf base, they probably think of it as theirs and will be upset if you try to collect it.

A Sun Elf Scout arrives at your base. When he returns home the Sun Elve's will know your location.
For that matter, if there's a Dark Elf colony nearby they'll probably know about your base now too since Silrith has been here.
This might be a good opportunity to send a message to the Sun Elves.

CHANGE OF RULES: your elves are no longer restricted to a specific location on the map. "Moving" your elves is now obselete. They can work at the base or at another location (eg: the crystals on the map) freely.

I made a mistake calculating resource yields on turn 5 & 6
Having 3 Elves working the Plantation should give +64 Cotton, not +60
Your Cotton supply has been increased by 8 to correct this.

For reference here is the yield rate for the Plantation, Garden and Construction

n = number of workers
For n = 1, Yields = 20
For n >= 2, Yields = ceil(40*lg(n))

1 worker = +20
2 workers = +40
3 workers = +64
4 workers = +80
5 workers = +93
6 workers = +104
7 workers = +113
8 workers = +120
6 million workers = +901

Later on you may research technologies that improve yields for large numbers of workers
The normal upgrades improve the coefficient.
eg: If you buy the Plantation II upgrade, it will change the plantation's yields from 40*lg(n) to 60*lg(n)

Your new Colonist Tsarra is ready to work immediately, you have him work the Plantation for this turn.

Information that has recently updated is now highlighted in blue

You arrive at the appointed council location. A nice round tree stump serves as a table in a secluded spot in the forest bewteen your base and the Sun Elves'.
First citizen Mitalar, leader of the Sun Elves soon arrives with two guards.
He takes his place at the table and begins speaking.
Mitalar: "Salutations. I have come to discuss the proposed attack on the goblin settlement. If these goblins are threatening our allies then they are our enemies!"
Ashera: "A group of goblins tried to rob us! They clearly have no respect for us or our lands. It's only a matter of time before they escalate, we should put a stop to them before they attack us, like goblins *always* do."
Mitalar: "I see, the Sun Elves believe in honourable warfare. If we are to take part in this conflict we must send a formal declaration of war to the goblins, and give them a chance to parlay before we attack."
Ahsera: "Well, -"
Mitalar: "Also, when shall the attack commence? I understand you may need some time to prepare."
Before you can respond, your meeting is soon interrupted by some new arrivals. The dark elf Lady Silrith arrives with two guards and takes a position at the stump.
Silrith: "Greetings."
Ashera: "Eeeeeeh? Silrith? What are you doing here?"
Mitalar: "What mockery is this? I did not invite the dark elves to this council."
Silrith: "I heard you elves were having a war council. You can't have an elf war council without the dark elves! We would like to help you in your campaign against the goblins.
We are well armed, and our human janissaries are quite formidable if I do say so myself."
Mitalar: "What makes you think we'd have anything to do with you slavers!"

Decision time first of all, who will you invite to join you in this war.
If you invite the Sun Elves, you will be forced to declare a formal war rather than just surprise attack.
Seems like the Dark Elves are fine with anything, but you're not sure they can be trusted.

>Send a Diplomat to another faction

Send a diplomat to the the dark elves to see if they have equipment for us to borrow /sell in exchange for the goblins we captured. The way I see it, is if we try to unite the sun elves and dark elves into a joint attack they are going to end up fighting among themselves and we wil lget cought up in the middle of it. But if we tell one side to fuck off they are going to be offended. So the best bet is to side with the sun elves in combat, but have a side deal with the dark elves to show them we are not looking to leave them out or snubbing them. Especially since they have come all this way to parlay.

Its not in our best interest for the sun elves and dark elves to work together anyway, as long as they are enemys we can pit one side against the other and we will be safe knowing they are preoccupied with each other. Further more, we can end up as middlemen traders between the two empires and make big profit.

In addition to Sanctum spells, we could get Ashera a Short Bow in the next few turns. At max training it should be pretty good for the goblin attack.

I'm neutral on the necromancer question

I second this, for now, but we need to focus on cotton and training very soon.

You decide to capture the human. You have your Elves drag him to the Academy building and have him bound and gagged.
You don't have an actual prison but the Academy has a room with an exterior lock, it's not very secure but since he's injured you think you can contain him.
Maybe next time the dark elves show up you can turn him over to them.
Pic unrelated.

Whatever that means!
You also give them a shield in return for the gift.

>>3611997
I would say hold off on the bow and use 50 crystals to set up that trade route. We can get the bow later, but getting the trade route up one turn early nets us 10 crystal (enough for a bow)
>>
>>3612084
we can prioritize the economy after we win the war.
>>
>>3612088
The attack's 4 turns out. I see no downside to waiting 1 turn on getting the bow we won't be using next turn anyway
>>
>>3612084
You sure ? If we really get 10 cristals, I’m in favor of setting the trade route, if we only need 1 turn for it
>>
>>3612091
I would like us to focus on war preparations for all 4 turns, It's better to be over prepared than underprepared.
>>
>>3612095
If we get the trade up, we can focus fully on cotton production.
>>
>>3612095
That’s not reasonable. There is no upside to not doing the trade route right now.
With the trade in place, we have a steady supply of crystals.
Unless I’m wrong, the math is...
Spend 50 crystals now to establish trade.
4 turns remain.
On the last turn, we’ll at least have enough crystals to have 4 bows, and that’s without mining, based off the trade route alone.

We’re still gonna have workers in the mine, so it would be illogical to not set up the trade at the earliest point in time.
>>

>>3612191
You don't have to build anything and you never allocate your Elves to trading.
After you pay the initial fee you simply receive 10 Crystals per turn forever from trade going on in the background between turns.

Five dark skinned humans intrude on your base. They claim to be vagrants looking for temporary work, and they noticed your plantation.
Apparently these humans have many YEARS of experience working on a cotton plantation. What the actual fuck?
They offer to work on your plantation for 5 Turns, requesting 10 Crystal each, for a total of 50. When you tell them you can't afford that they say they don't need the pay in advance.

But make sure we have a written contract so there can be no fuckery on either side.
>>
>>3613911
Assuming these cotton pickers can work as well as your average elf femboy, that's 93 cotton per turn for 10 crystal per turn. That's pretty good if nothing goes wrong. I say we do it.

For work, I suggest:
4 researching "Healing Touch"
3 Training at Academy
Use 100 cotton and 10 crystals to buy a shortbow for Ashera.

We should make sure we have 50 crystals by the time 5 turns are up. Those dark cotton pickers would probably stir up a ruckus if we don't pay them.
>>
>>3614304
They should be more effective given their size and their increased stamina.
Not only will they be better than us, that’s still 5 extra workers.
We must pay them for their services.
We have those 50 crystals just based off the 10 crystals we get per turn for the 5 turns they’ll be working for us.
If we could set those crystals aside to not be used, that would be great, don’t wanna stiff workers that could come back in the future.

I agree with your work delegation.

You have Saphielle write up a concise contract and have the humans sign. They are now officially employed by your colony, they set to work immediately.

Lusha informs you that the necromancer has awoken. You go to speak with him.
He gazes at you inquisitively with glowing white eyes as you enter the room
Boy he's a weird looking human; aside from the glowing eyes his flesh is all pale and devoid of scars or freckles AND he has no navel! You're 90% sure humans are mammals, what the hell?
Kaxius: "Hello miss, may I speak to the man in charge?"
Ashera: "Hey! IM in charge here."
Kaxius: "*You?* Uh.. I mean. Your pardons. I wish you no harm, I seek only to return to my clan. Release me, and I shall return with a special gift, one only necromancers can give."
(It seems like he's not a loner, but part of a necromancer faction)

What do/say?
